recreated like a Call of Duty arena essentially and played a little bit of
team deathmatch and it definitely confirmed that it's blankos right
there's like a lot of blankos features but obviously the innovative part is
that they've worked with all of these collections so you can just jump in
with anything which is which is fun to see I mean you see people with apes you
see people with you and they're all just running around having a good time
blasting each other up okay but I mean yeah is it innovative do you feel like
it's innovative or do you feel like it's just blankos with a shinier grill I think
in order to get that amount of different communities in there and have those
models and some of the collections actually have unique one-of-ones for
every person's NFT and I think that's a heavy load so I'll give them their

words which is that it seems like everybody wants this to happen and so
people are just gonna like meme it into existence like the momentum is there
and people want to see it my question is why is that like what's the sentiment like
is it a positive sent them like go pudgy go or is it like fuck the apes the truth
of it is is because heavy metal Forge sucked that's basically it okay right on
yep well now imagine how much they do move with news which it feels like
that's coming just like we all feel like like you collapse gonna have some big
drops or big announcements coming like much he's not done anything I mean and
they have they've not announced anything other than pudgy world like imagine when
they actually announced some news crazy so like I didn't think pudgy penguins
would ever flip board apes above 20th right we talked about this the other day

that is that whenever there's a chain a new chain a new ecosystem whoever the
founder of that is has to have a pet that's that's one there there can't
there's always a key no it's not always on Avax it's a dog one time it was a
dog the point is it's a cat or a dog Q what's let's understand that the initial
the initial meme coin was doge so it's let's not forget that actually the two
initial meme coins were both dogs and then there's bonk too that's also a dog
come on man it's dogs and cats you can't you can't just throw the dogs over the
bus like that's fucked up there's a lot of founders that have cats I don't
understand the correlation there but a lot of founders have cats yeah and easy
to take care of and require no responsibility sure the point is that
when there's a new ecosystem then the founder must have it have an animal and
and when they have an animal then you are ready to launch a meme coin on that
ecosystem named lovingly after said founders animals this is this is this
is I didn't make up the rules this is just the laws of crypto as we know them
this is how how the space works and so Toshi and mochi I guess they're
apparently Brian Armstrong's cats so there's actually two contenders but Toshi
is like the the real one I think Toshi's the box we can argue that out
maybe maybe there's a case for like and again maybe competitions good like that's
you know maybe maybe that's the whole point is that by having a mochi Toshi
off the jump is already set up to succeed because it'll have to like you know
compete with each other and keep up with each other they'll they'll drive each
other to further heights it's kind of like having sibling rivalry within the
household you know I'm saying like you really push each other so that's what
I'm expecting which is the bigger pussy right exactly I think right now
it's Toshi and so I've got my bags packed accordingly I've got more Toshi
than mochi I'm stacked in that direction but uh look why why are we talking about
this why do we give a shit it's because obviously you know meme coins have kind
of established themselves as a legit asset class this is the crazy thing that
not enough people are talking about I've just barely started to see people even
acknowledge this avalanche actually doing work in this regard to establish
meme coins as a legitimate asset class because they've they've come out and
said basically like yo we we are going to be focusing on developing a meme coin
ecosystem on avalanche because we believe so much in the value of this
asset class so it's only just despite the fact that there's excuse me that
there's been billions of dollars trading in these assets for years now it's
like people are only just now ready just to start taking it seriously for some
reason but that's fine that's just how the world works some people are faster
to these things and others some people are you know it could also be just
grasping at straws no good like avalanches yet to really consolidate
like a sector in the crypto sphere right like it's not defy it's not an FT
real-world assets have taken forever so maybe they were like oh well you know
what meme coins that's gonna be our thing yeah this shit coin yeah however we
can get volume please anyway so Toshi is has potential it seems like right now is
the chosen meme of the base chain which were very bullish on what we can talk
more about that in a moment but most recently of course bonk has been the meme
coin that everybody it was kind of Pepe then it was bonk became the Pepe of
Solana and now Toshi could become the Pepe slash bonk of base Toshi also has an
NFT so it's like you know it's already got its own like community behind it
it's not just a meme coin so you can again shout out you can see some of the
Toshi's in here what's up y'all shout out huda also gmdu how you doing all
right we missed them so yeah I guess that's that's the gist of it other than
I'll just add in the context for why I'm betting on Toshi and why I think that it
actually it actually has potential to maybe get to that you know billion dollar
multi-billion dollar total value locked level or market cap maybe I should say
that why do I actually think that Toshi could be in the range of a bonk or Pepe
or you know a Shiba Inu or something like that well it's because Coinbase is
absolutely a juggernaut it's set itself up is basically like the the
marketplace in the United States for crypto they're custodying most of the
ETF funds I think like they're partnered with all the big ETFs now they're not
going away and this is their layer two and they're gonna be investing very very
heavily in it already they've already shown some good product market fit like
they've shown a couple good applications I mean friend tech wasn't didn't last
very long but we saw you know that was like an early application that at least
showed the potential for you know launching a product getting a lot of
liquidity and interest very quickly over there they had the on-chain summer
event which Jess was part of by the way first poet minted on base shout out Jess
down there that seemed to be pretty successful it showed people how easy it
is to bridge over there they've had friend pet a couple other things yeah I
don't know if I'm missing any other apps that they've already had over there
but I I just think that Coinbase is going to invest very heavily in it
this year and that base is going to be a remarkably I don't I think it's
gonna be a big player and so I think once people like there's a few more
catalysts over there and they do a little bit more development maybe they
have one or two more applications launching all of a sudden people are
gonna realize that oh shit coin bases L2 is is not fucking around and and then
Toshi was gonna fly not financial advices by the way we're not financial
advisors I should say that should have said that already but uh we're just
talking about cool shit on the internet always remember do not speckle
all right anybody got anything to add I'm just I'm just running here just talking a
lot yeah the so when we were making these kind of moves to other chains when
we started I think the GTO airdrop actually got people off their ass I
think it was just a large enough airdrop for people like shit I need to be
actually like looking at this stuff the the argument about the viability of
you know having people jump chain to chain and whether those people are
actually gonna stay I think is a great one I think you're you're if you're
sitting there you're like why does all this shit exists a lot of it is because
they're trying to attract people in a very like marketing sense there they're
they're paying via their token and they're trying to get people into the
platform if they stay and the more chains that exist and the less people
that we have coming into the ecosystem I think it's a really good argument if
you're sitting there saying a lot of this stuff is not gonna be around but a
lot of the stuff will and that's the part of the kind of equation that we're
trying to play out so are all of the meme coins that are popping up on say
and meme coins on you know base are they gonna be around in six months with
any type of community and any viable way probably we know it's it's only if
they are the OG named after the pet of the founder yes that's what we're
saying here there's a very clear meta and strategy and law of how meme coins and
crypto work come on yeah when we were making these bets I think I put more of
my time into base like obviously we are trying to spread ourselves very thin and
the more chains you're on the more wallets you have to set up again it's
it you guys know if you're listening to this and you're doing the same thing you
know how exhausting it can be to track all this stuff so you know I was
primarily looking at base and I think say I and you were asking me why say over
base I think I remember you sending me that message it's just momentum at the
time like there's sentiment there's liquidity there's it just has more of
those features it has it has a reason it has a legitimate NFT marketplace for
one thing like I don't even think base has a legit NFT marketplace yet it
doesn't have a native it doesn't have a native marketplace these can be traded
open nobody wants to do that yeah so yeah so look I think base will get to this
point but say I was just kind of mentioning you know we put out the
feelers and it felt like in the moment we were seeing more interest and
sentiment I think it probably has some centralizing factors I don't actually
know all the specifics but I've also listened to their team talking about it
and I know that at least initially their plan is to have it fully
decentralized like they're they're coming at this from a web through ethos
and they understand that a lot of people won't take it seriously if if
they don't you know treat it like a like a decentralized I agree but for all its
merits right like until that moment comes like I think you're still I don't
know I still have a hard try trouble like separating the two right they're
like joined at the hip very much like BNB is with Binance and we know that it had
like a phenomenal go right like last cycle but if it's gonna remain tied to
the exchange then it's gonna perform accordingly right which I still think
it's mostly a bullish side effect but there is that issue with the hardcore
decentralization maxis and something to sure but I am is it centralized do we
know that like you're talking about about the amount of validators right and
whether that's mostly coin yeah who the validators are and how you know
independent they might be right yeah yeah that's a fair question I don't know I
wish we did I'm sure it's not as decentralized as you'd probably like out
of the box I don't necessarily see it as a weakness for an L2 because I I'm kind
of more focused on what are the benefits of it to build quickly and
capitalize on the upcoming run at the moment and just knowing that Coinbase is
gonna be fully behind it wanting it to succeed and offering a ton of different
opportunities for utilities and value for the people that participate in that
ecosystem is kind of the main thrust of what I'm looking at the other thing yeah
that's the opium and I I'm smoking it I wanted to bring in the the phone
aspect of this here because it leads into another headline today which I I
don't know if anybody's entirely a thousand percent sure yet if this is
just an absolute troll because it very well might be but it's still funny and it
shows that what has happened and transpired with the saga phone success
they off the back of the bonk again what meme coins are doing now and
farming and all of this to get people more excited about other aspects of the
space I think can't be overstated we now potentially have serious new like web
three hardware startups happening off the back of the success of a fucking meme
coin can we take a moment to understand this this is fucking phenomenal so pin up
top Trader Joe's which is like the primary decks on avalanche I think it's
the most popular decks over on avalanche tweeted out an image saying
connect with defy connect with the world connect with your community Joan
pre-orders opening soon with an image of a Joan phone again could be a complete
troll or they could actually be trying to capitalize on this momentum right now
and watch an avalanche based phone which even if it's a joke it shows that
you know there could be more people taking this much more seriously right
now and and why would people be buying this people might actually want to pre
order and buy this shit because people look at these phones now as possible
meme coin printers if avalanche is indeed strategically targeting meme coins
as a asset class that they want to be focusing on building well then how are
they gonna market and get adoption for their avalanche phone they're gonna
package it with every single fucking meme coin that they possibly can I think this
is a this is a Dex though that's good so Trader Joe's biggest yes avalanche I
don't know if they're on different chains so it's not coming from but it
would be an avalanche heart like phone regardless of who makes it yes I don't
know I don't know if Trader Joe's has multiple chains that they support though
so it might even be multi chain could be but the point is that why like what's
what's pushing this and like actually getting people excited about you know
pre-ordering $500 web 3 hardware devices even though they already have thousand
dollar iPhones and shit like that is that they think that their meme coin
printer so I'm just saying it's a fascinating situation that's happening
and it's all because of the success of bonk and meme coins I hope I do wonder I
do wonder what happens big I'll let you go I just want to add this this
context they support avalanche Binance chain arbitrum and aetherium crazy so
this could be legit I mean even based on that that actually makes me feel like it
could actually be more serious than a joke big did you have some of you aren't
thrown here yeah one of those things that makes me I mean this is like a
dark horse crazy scenario but not out of reach is that you're buying these
phones right you're probably whether you're paying crypto or credit card
right like you're you're putting in your information your address and all
that if if the if if the airdrops become significant enough to peak the
interest of say certain regulators what's to stop them from being like hey we need
we need all that info of the people that got shipped all these phones because we
want to make sure they're paying their their their fair share yeah we'll figure
that out later cost of doing business I love my DJ and fam yeah well I think
this gets back to sort of the ethos of so much of the space especially within the
United States as you know and nifty Q and I and you big like we've talked about
this endlessly it's that like the the legal clarity and the way that our
government and our legal systems work is not conducive to innovation like you
have to take calculated risks and move forward quickly and understand that a
lot of this shit is gonna like catch up years later but so a lot of people a
lot of businesses and a lot of startups in general do the math and just say look
if I can raise you know millions of dollars or even billions for some of
these fucking tokens and keep building and moving ahead it's like okay if I have
to pay fines or figure this shit out later like I'll do that or they're just
moving abroad and then they're you know they're probably in better situations
there that's that's the other part of that but I mean you either innovate and
move quickly and and get the bag and build the products before anybody else
does and be a first mover and get all the benefits of that and also the
downside of that that you accept or or you decide I'm just gonna sit on my hands
and wait for someone else to do it and don't be the fattest big right if
you're the biggest big get slaughtered and I you know SSPs in the house which

right now the reason they can't move as fast as they want to and the reason

it seems like it might go into some of these top coins that are coming out so
I'm bullish on the ecosystem I want to get a few more coins over there but I've
been farming on B swap using B swap and friend pet and that's been dope like
super dope like that's why I'm like if I put in a couple ETH more it will be like
an income literally like I should I mean you're just looking at Toshi right like
you can hold Toshi but you can also farm it for like I think it's pretty
easy to get like 400% APR 500% APR and B swap and that's been really great money

value that would be in a coin gonna just go still on chain but into other other
assets that's that's interesting I I don't know why but that's a thesis on
Toshi right that like if there's an ochi yeah imagine they're not yeah imagine

like Bong could be potentially like a token of Solana I think I don't know why

at some point they're gonna have a token I feel like they're just slow

about prior to this thread so this third was actually dropped in the Daily Alpha
show this morning they do a pretty good job of aggregating a lot of the craziness
that's happening in the industry so there is a ton happening obviously we're
getting pulled onto every which chain we do have a I think a zk mainnet update
we have an alt layer airdrop we've got dym airdrop so all of these things are
happening but blast is probably the most speculative at this point I mean they
have to like 1.2 billion locked up in their chain they've got the native
staking so it's interesting to a lot of different people who just you know have
higher liquidity that are seeking some type of eth yield so there's a lot that
is happening with blast obviously pac-man has built blur into a sizable NFT
marketplace so you have that kind of history and provenance that he's been be
able to build something so I didn't know that this amount of stuff was a chain
frankly like you look at this it's like NFT projects all of this stuff this is
what happens when you raise what a billion dollars before you even watch
like of course is gonna be people developing and you have the names
behind it that they do this is why I like you you call it I wouldn't call it
raised a million they didn't raise a billion they have a TVL that's not
that's not money that they can use that's fair maybe I didn't explain that
properly but they have a ton of liquidity in the ecosystem now is that a better
way of putting it 1.3 billion dollars already walked up yeah it's where that
money goes right are people gonna use that people gonna get blast rewards and
then you know pump that into different NFT projects and I think the answer
probably that you're looking for is yes and I probably would agree with you
like there's gonna be a ton of that money that stays on blast and what does
that do to a burgeoning NFT ecosystem well it's gonna because one of the
primary innovations and utilities of it is it has a native yield which is going
to automatically hold some percentage of it and if they can find more clever
marketing again back to the marketing if they find more ways to get you
staking or playing other games which you know that they're gonna find things
to do with not to mention launching with a whole bunch of different apps and
NFTs and etc I think a large percentage of it will end up staying in the
ecosystem in some level yes some is gonna leave of course but there might
also be a bunch more dropping in there this is why you know when you say it's
the most speculative like yes of course it is speculative you're right it's
highly speculative however if I'm looking at it against a lot of the
other chains that people are speculating on I see it as actually less
speculative than a lot of those because I don't know those founders I
don't know their history of product I don't know their marketing capabilities I
don't know who their backers are with with blast like you have a lot more of a
track record and knowledge about the team and what they're capable of then
then a lot of these other L2s and blockchains so no I guess when I guess
when I said speculative I more meant kind of the volatility around people
speculating on it so it was more so like people have strong opinions which
I guess in and of itself is a good thing like if people have strong opinions on
something in crypto it's usually something that's yeah so let me just read
this again this pin up top all the cool stuff can be found on the Xbox of
course blast has a hundred thousand users and 1.3 billion in total value
locked and it's only been 24 hours since their testnet went alive these are
crazy numbers y'all here's a list of early projects that are building on
blast they should keep an eye on and there's 15 listed already so that might
not even be all the projects that are being developed there's just some of the
ones to keep an eye on so again I don't know everybody is so quick to fucking
shit on anything for any reason and so when the testnet stopped you know
producing blocks for like an hour everybody's like look it's a fucking it's
a disaster I was just like yeah that's literally what a test that's for
so yeah the the point is I think they're moving a lot faster than people
think yeah maybe it gets pushed back a little bit they did take a while with
like the season 2 blur updates and shit but but will it ultimately be a very
competitive and compelling product when it watches I think so I'm betting that
direction I don't know what the timing is gonna be on it maybe it takes a
while and I guess that's that's the bigger risk is the opportunity cost of
walking a bunch a bunch of liquidity there and not knowing exactly when it's
all gonna be ready to go yeah from a user perspective I mean there there are
obviously test nets that people are able to interact with so I I need to do
more research here like literally today because obviously you know that this
is an opportunity if you this is another chain I get people are exhausted with
it but at the end of the day if you can go on and potentially collect a
testnet you know like faucet tokens and interact with maybe an NFT project or
something like that that's an opportunity down the road that might pay
off I know Barra chain biggie is one that you've been shilling me on and we
got in there they actually have an ETH NFT that's not on testnet that like
plays into a multiplier that people are getting on Barra chain right now so if
you hold that in the wallet that you're on Barra chain with you
potentially get like multiplier so that I'm I know I'm stacking different things
now but I'm just trying to give some context
