Good morning everyone. This is Justin Roberty from Benzinka. I welcome you all to our first edition of Trends and Narratives in DeFi by Odyssey, Godbit Twitter Spaces. It's our Web3 Accelerator associated with Godbit.
Thank you so much for coming today. We have a number of projects that we that are part of the of the Odyssey Accelerator Program. We look forward to speaking with them and learning a little bit about these projects. And thank you so much for coming out and being part of that.
Let me go ahead and say hello to my co-host Peter. Hi, I Peter. How are you this morning? Yeah, well, thanks a lot. Thanks a lot. Way to go for the projects to drink. Yes, absolutely. So what are you looking forward to finding out today? What are you looking for?
Yeah, I guess we will discuss the current defiant transeneratives obviously and in that terms are I mean many things happening right now in the defiant space I've spoken with many this is have lots of insights to
to share with the projects with our audience. So in that terms, I guess it will be wonderful space. Yeah, absolutely. Lots of challenges in the device space right now. It's been an interesting 2023 so far.
Yep. Well, definitely, and I'm sure that everyone at home, you either have projects that you're also part of or certainly projects that you support. So this is a great one to tune into and it's always good to have the chance. I interview
hundreds of people every year but it's a good chance to talk to some newer projects and see what they're about. I guess we have nine people that we're waiting for overall but we do have fire pot finance on with us right now.
So why don't we go over to fire pot and and say hello? What would you like to introduce yourself? Yeah, so can you hear me? Yes, I can Okay, so my name is Ben Canal. I'm the CEO of fire pot finance
Just joined the team a few months ago was with another project that we launched and listed and saw what these guys were doing and you know in order to improve upon the UI UX of DeFi and you know jumped in. It seems to be the narrative of where the space is going especially.
actually even in this accelerator, right? So it's a good litmus test for where the next trend for the next bull runs going to be and sort of an arms race in that respect. Sure. Well, it's certainly an opportunity.
So I suppose that your project's goal is to when you say it's looking to improve the user experience, you're looking for a crossover audience into mainstream investors as well, make it easier for people to
board into participating in DFI? Is that correct? Yeah, absolutely. So we've done a ton of research and work on our user personas. One thing that stuck out to us was, you know, glaringly, 76% of users who come to DFI leave and never come back. So huge
So really focusing on those users and going even further into some of the very casual users, bringing them into DeFi by automating a lot of the bridging of assets, switching of chains, adding in other features like logging
in with biometrics, robo advisory, just really adding a lot of fabs on top of what exists and making it easier to navigate, kind of like a C5 feel in DFI where you can self-custom your assets. Sure, it seems to make sense. I mean, there are a lot
a lot of since the bull run in 2020 there are a lot of new retail investors and they continue to add. There's continue to be more people investing in the crypto space and more people investing overall. But let me go ahead and give far max a chance to say hello as well.
I have to tend to agree with the calling index
