Getting her rolling. How's it going? Welcome. Welcome.
All right. Well, welcome back to Tuesday, Tessday. I'm Blangs here with my co-host, Kryptonio.
And tonight we're opening the floor for another community call.
These calls are where we slow down, check in with the community, and talk about whatever's on your mind.
Whether you're building something, watching proposals, collecting, or just hanging out and observing.
This is your space to share.
We've got a few things we might bring up, but mostly this is about hearing from all of you.
So if there's something you want to discuss, request to speak, jump in, and let's get the conversation going.
Before we open up the floor, let's hit a couple of headlines from around Tezos this week.
Article of the month? It's the article of March 2025. Every month, the Tezzo's art scene keeps growing.
and the article of the month is one of the best ways to see who's out there creating, experimenting, and pushing their craft in new directions.
For March, we've got five artists who stood out, all nominated by community members, who took the time to tag their work.
You'll see everything from stunning nature photography to street scenes, black and white architectural captures,
and even playful drawings from one of the youngest artists on Tezos, Juniper Paisley,
who's only seven years old.
What really stands out this month is the diversity of styles and stories.
Mariella Gonzalez's serene nature photos that feel like little moments of peace.
Massad Gorsaras, a street photography that captures raw human stories.
Kich-Lacqu's architectural shots with deep contrast and careful composition,
Juniper's early drawings that are both adorable and impressive in their own right,
and acid reindeer's bold, abstract experiments that keep evolving with each piece.
If you want to see these works for yourself, and trust me, they're worth checking out.
Head over to Tezos Commons and read the full article.
And while you're at it, don't forget to nominate artists that inspire you for next month's feature
by tagging their work with hashtag Tez article.
That's capital T, lowercase, E-Z capital, A-R-T, lower-case, I-C-L-E.
The Tesos Community rewards February 2025.
One of the best parts of the Tezos Community,
is how much people give back.
And the Community Rewards Program
is all about recognizing that effort.
Each month, up to 5,000 TES gets distributed
to contributors across categories
like influencers, developers,
For February, Tazos Commons just announced
It's a long list of names
with people showing up in all kinds of ways,
hosting spaces, writing tutorials,
Just being that helpful presence in chat.
If you know someone who's making a difference,
nominating them is super simple.
The form only takes about 30 seconds.
Or you can just tag a tweet or Discord post with hashtag Tesos CRP.
Go check out the full list of winners over at tezoscomons.org.
And if you see someone out there doing great work this month,
make sure they get noticed.
All right. Well, if you're passionate about contributing to Tezos, whether that's through building, creating, or just being actively involved in the community, there's a new opportunity you should know about.
The Tezos Trailblazers is here.
It's a task-based program for people who want to help move the space forward in real ways,
whether that's hosting spaces, testing products before they hit the public, creating content, or organizing meetups.
Every contribution matters, and you'll get rewarded for it.
Trailblazers also get special recognition across community channels, early access to new tools and features, and the chance to connect directly with builders and leaders shaping what's next.
That sounds like something you want to be a part of.
Applications are open now.
Head over to the Spotlight.tesos.com to read the full article and learn how to get involved with the Tezos Trailblazers.
All right, that covers the latest. So now we want to hear from all of you.
If you're building something excited about a proposal or just have your thoughts on what's happening in Tezos, raise your hand, request to speak, and let's talk about it.
Cryptoneo, my man, how the heck are you? Welcome, welcome.
Hello, hello. I'm doing good man. How are you?
I am doing fantastic. Is it nice and chilly where you're at? I mean, it's the evening, but I mean, how's the weather?
It is quite chilly to be honest because it has been raining the whole day, which didn't make it easy. But no, it's, the temperature is good. It's good. Like, we are in the transition now from winter to the summer. So we are somewhere in the middle. It's pretty nice.
And I'm seeing like a really, really cool room already here.
We've got a lot of people in here.
I appreciate you all showing up right and early.
You guys are what it's all about.
Cretonia, it's going to be like over 100 degrees where I'm at.
And it's going to be warm, apparently.
I have to kind of compute that and translate it to Celsius.
It's a little more than hot and a little less than unbearable.
100 f2c let's see what google says that's 37 degrees oh man is that is that a lot of degrees i mean
that seems like it's pretty it's okay it's pretty usual here as well like yeah we we have a
little bit of arizona as well yeah i find you and i we have similar weather that's why i was
asking if you had similar weather going on but right now it seems like you're blessed with
a little bit of wet yeah actually right now we got like let me tell you uh
We're in the 64s, like in the 70s maximum right now.
I mean, I would be cold, but you're lovely.
So, anything new on your front that you want to dive into right away?
Are you like, I mean, okay, so I'm kind of curious.
We got a bunch of topics to talk about.
Obviously, I would love people to come up first and just join the conversation and, you know, go with the flow.
But yeah, we got a bunch of topics to talk about.
I'll send out some invites.
We'll see if people want to come up and talk.
Come on up here and chill with us, you know?
All right, let's talk about something, actually just mention it because I don't know too much about it,
but I just recently saw that Hanzhi is now the Hanzi Protocol is officially launched on Etherlink,
which is going to be fully on chain order book, which I find interesting, yeah.
Wouldn't the last time we had something like that? Did Spicey have something similar?
Did they? I don't remember. Did they have like an order book?
I feel like they did. That was part of...
I think at some point, yeah, they made one right. But the difference is that that one was on the layer one, right?
Right, right, right. It was an OG. Yeah, that was one of the first iterations.
But my point is that on the layer one, you know, you have the latency of the blocks, which back then I don't know.
They might even be 30 seconds, I want to say at that time.
It isn't until recently that we went sub 30 seconds, you know?
I mean, we have it now and we were like eight seconds.
Like, we just went to eight seconds.
If you said that to me, I don't know, like four years ago.
I probably would have said no way.
No, four years ago, we were at a minute.
36 confirmations on a centralized exchange.
Right. And imagine the transaction not going through, like being backtracked or something.
Yeah, and you don't find out about it. Oh, anyway.
Especially, yeah, when we played with that bathroom game and everything. And, you know, if you were late, the transaction was failing.
Oh, man, so many failed transactions and backtrack transactions.
Yeah. But now on Etherling, I mean, you know, you have sub-second latency, so...
It makes much more sense, I would say.
It's running commands on the computer now.
It's like, you know, loading a Windows program.
But I want to dig into it a little bit more because I saw they will have some kind of
I don't know if they will like issue liquidity tokens and stuff.
Like people besides trading, because I think they launched three pairs now.
I think people will also be able to kind of put liquidity in, just to have it for liquidity
for the protocol, and basically get the fees from the trades and everything.
And they have like an automated market maker that is having a really, really low spread
between the buyers and the sales.
But yeah, as I said, we will have to dig a little bit more into it.
It's good that they already have like a million of TVL they just launched.
So let's see how that goes, especially with the...
That helps keep spread down too.
Huge, huge, you know, liquidity is good.
Nothing quite like having a project that says you're worth like 250 million
and the liquidity pools less than 5,000.
Yeah, I mean, we always had a little bit of issue with low liquidity on Tesla's, you know, but now with the incentives program and with Etherlink, which is, you know, more familiar to all the EVM traders and stuff. Let's see how that goes. I hope, you know, defy.
takes off a little bit because i like defy i don't know about you but i like defy oh it's fun i can
see myself getting absorbed and becoming you know the disheveled guy with the snot hanging down
on the coffee and no hair you know like i could see myself getting there yeah and i can see myself
losing all my money but no no i'm kidding
Not all of it. You save a couple pennies so you can still keep playing, because if you lose all that, you can't keep doing it.
At least you won't lose them on a face, you know, that's something.
Oh, yeah, no, that's not an issue anymore.
I don't know if it ever really was, though, for Tesla.
I mean, I look back at the fees burned on some of my accounts and I want to cry, you know, before we changed a little bit of the fee structures and storage rules and stuff.
Who was it that made that it was like an application where you could connect your wallet and see how many, how many XTZ you have used in fees overall since, you know, you opened the wallet?
I remember that. I can't remember who made it. I can't remember the name of it. I've used it once and I cried. I think you showed me one and I showed you mine and we both spent never again and we just said we'll never speak of this again.
And because I had so many transactions back then, like 2020 especially, which was before Delphi, before you know, all the fees reductions and everything.
And the fees were still low compared to any other chain.
But they were like 10fold from what they are now, or 24.
And I remember one of my wallets because of all those transactions I had done, I had like 20K transactions or something.
And I had used like 1,200 XTZ, which was nuts, you know, like you aren't telling you.
Yeah, I was around 1,300 was one of my accounts as well in these.
Let's go to other other speakers.
Welcome to the stage, gentlemen.
Welcome, welcome, Wachim, Chris.
Enjoying the show so far.
Just got back from window browsing motorcycles.
Like those electric ones?
You know, sometime in the future, once battery technology...
breaks its current stealing, I absolutely want to get back into electric unicycling.
But as of right now, they've just gotten so heavy that I might as well just buy a motorcycle.
You could be like Paul Blart, mall cop.
Yeah, Segway is kind of falling behind as far as innovation goes.
They're all slow and too expensive.
I've seen like some souped up segways that the cops be using that are nuts.
So maybe they're just inaccessible tech.
Maybe it went away that we can't see.
Chris, do you own a segue?
Was it the segue where the guy that invented it, didn't he have an accident on it or something?
I'll have to grok that one.
I'm going to have to Google it now.
Yeah, I've got a feeling that it's unfortunate, actually.
The company owner, oh, God, this is awful.
I wish I can Google with that now.
Apparently the company owner, Jimmy Hazleton.
Cliff full accident whilst riding a Segway in England.
Apparently, that's what Google's telling me.
I knew there's some, so to answer your question, no.
I guess that's why they've fallen behind an innovation.
The inventor's still, the inventors called Dean Carman,
but the owner of the company had the accident.
So yeah, a bit tragic, really.
A long time ago, 15 years ago.
We just got the red box of host is connecting disconnected thing.
If it gets cut off, we'll restart.
I just warning, plugging, sorry.
That segue story is horrible.
I mean, maybe that's why it disappeared.
Should you go back to talking about your DFI portfolio?
It'll probably be a bit kinder, wouldn't it?
Well, what about a VESPA?
Hey, I love a good moped.
Nothing wrong with a little scooter riding.
The only time I've ever been on a moped was on the back of one.
And the guy drove me through Paris.
So we worked one end of Paris and he lived the other.
We went all the way through the center past the Eiffel Tower.
I think we even did the arc just all the way, all the way through.
I didn't particularly like it.
That's because I wasn't driving it.
I feel like those would be much more fun to drive as opposed to ride.
You're probably pretty exposed riding in one of those.
You're like basically hanging off it, aren't you?
