all right hello hello let's kick things off
um we'll try to get david up in the meantime
but um thank you everyone for joining
uh i believe it's nico behind the ultra
hey there doing great doing great thank you
um yep i think david should be nipping him
yep he's up as well hey david how's it going man
he's still on mute hey guys yeah i don't know why it's
my earphones don't work but anyway it works with uh
yeah no it's okay it happens we've had we've had worse
twitter space experiences where people couldn't come on stage or
even get the invite or anything like that so i'm glad this worked out
um we'll just let people keep joining in but i think we can get
things started uh before we kick things off obviously you know big news big week
um big 24 hours i'd say for you guys uh but for anyone that's you know been
living under a rock for the past i don't even want to say weeks or months
because you guys have been around for years but yeah anyone that's been living
under a rock that doesn't really know who you guys are what ultra is um i'll
let you decide who goes first um on my screen i see ultra and then
david so maybe we can take that flow with you nico first
um just give us a quick intro into who you are and then we can start chatting
about what you guys are building yeah for sure sounds good thanks uh
so i'm co-CEO co-founder of ultra alongside david
uh and basically i manage all the site tied to marketing
business uh legal operation finance uh and then it is more on the product and
development side um and yeah i've been in the space like
in the game space for roughly 20 25 years maybe but i would say initially
is a hardcore gamer alongside david as well
uh and then since then build particular ventures in the space
including mobile game studio in china pc game studio
that got acquired at king soft monetization strategy companies who help
game large game publishers to improve their games to make more money attract
more users give a better experience and then lastly build the game console for
the chinese markets in partnership with andy uh and
then blockchain side so i've been in the space since 2010
i found that mistaken so yeah it's been like
13 years uh and yeah followed everything since then
and seen the growth and how we could actually make something
amazing that would be group gaming and blockchain technology
i don't know david you want to do a quick intro or if we move on to ultra
yeah i mean um you know i've been mostly part of ultra of the technology
design um so we're doing a lot of very unique
stuff around our nft standard around our
blockchain protocol um and yeah i'm super excited to to see
everything being unraveled um so ultra games is is uh one big
milestone but it's not um the only one there's there are
many that will come and that would further make uh you know
the lives of gamers and game developers better and better over time
so i'm super excited by you know what's to happen tomorrow already
yeah unique might be uh the word of the day um
i'll start things off slow um before we again dive into the big
news i just wanted to ask for anyone that's
kind of trying to understand why we need
the likes of ultra when we have the epics and the steams and so on and so
forth like what's what's been your i guess
thesis from the beginning because you know there's a lot of cool stuff that
you guys are doing and we're gonna dive into it for sure with the tokenization
and the uniques and things like that but i'm just curious from from your
perspective from the outside looking in like why did you think
something had to change with the current um you know game launcher space
marketplaces the steams the epics and so on
so i think there are multiple um you know levels of
of answers to you so first there's the web tree problem
you know steam band um essentially web tree games
so you know game developers are looking for
home um epic games dollar rates blockchain games but still
there's no guarantee you will be on um you know the epic store so you know
that leaves you with a few options there are stores here
and there but um you know most of them today are
lacking functionality drm dlc support or all kinds of various
levels of um you know functionality and so we
you know we're trying to offer them a home um
so that's for the you know web tree a part of the question
question um but then there's a broader question which is really applicable to
post web tree and web 2 game developers is that it's really hard to
commercialize a game um it's very hard to
get people to talk about your games very tedious
like it's very manual amount of work um it's also you know very hard to
manage these campaigns um and so generally speaking you know it's
hard to publish a game and so we both nicolas and myself you know we
made games we make game studios um and we know how hard it is and so we
you know always wanted to find new ways to help developers and this is
where i think blockchain um you know technology excels
for you know collaborative um for incentivizing people to do certain
tasks um blockchain is ideal and so basically
throughout the platform throughout different parts of our technology
we were able to add you know more and more functionality that will help
game developers you know achieve success um
and so that's uh that's really what drives us it's to
you know help uh in these medium and large companies to facilitate the
process of uh publishing games and you know
doing more than what is done today because really if you look at
what epic or what steam does they really don't do anything in terms of
you know marketing they don't they don't have like magical
solution they don't have really any interesting solution and so
this is where you know our technology comes into play where
you know we have like a bunch of solution which
game developers can then use sort of like as a toolbox
depending on their situation depending on the parameters of their game
or their desire they can leverage you know various
levels of functionalities
yep i would say that's just totally totally true so
in a sense that we really provide a much better solution
for building your business uh generally speaking and that's expand
into building games but also into laptops or other
you know other verticals like around the game space like tournament platform or
live stream or quest system or whatever you can
imagine but on the consumer side to the players
they also today have an experience which is
really you go on steam you get your game you go on twitch
you register you get your live stream intake
you go i don't know on say face it and then you can play your tournaments you
go on discord so you can have your socials
and this goes on basically it's not a good experience in a sense
everything is fragmented if you take the example of a console
everything is in one location is simple to interact with because all
thought it's all compatible in a sense here
everything is custom and that's quite complicated for a
gamer you could feel it's normal because you're
used to that but at the same time what you like a lot is all the potential
that you could have if those those verticals were actually aligned
and that's also what ultra brings as an ecosystem to the to the gamers
so once once you join ultra you get access to
purchasing new games and that's ultra game that we are launching
25th but it's also being able to you know
earn something in the game being able to easily reset it
buy a new game and then reset it as well playing a tournament which is tied in
some way to the live streaming side which is tied some way to promoting a
game and maybe receiving a drop because
you're watching the live stream so it's really this ecosystem aspect
which is in existent today in the space so this is i think one of the big
value that you can bring to the gamers and to
the games industry is offering this sort of
same level of experience and better than what you would find on a console
like the simplest the same the ease of use basically the
simplest aspect and this for web 2 but also for web 3
so erasing all the problematics that you see today with the game
with the web 3 which is hard to get into
you need something to be able to play you need to create a wallet and all the
complexity you've touched on a lot of great points
there obviously david and nico i want to stay with you
because you just mentioned that as well so you guys obviously launched
the wallet first and then the marketplace went out
so you know congrats on that it was a couple of i think i don't know if it was
weeks or months to be honest it feels like ages ago
and now ultra games launches tomorrow the 25th
i think i mean you brushed on it very briefly but the the concept definitely
needs a bit more time to dive into it this tokenization of game licenses
to me is probably one of the most interesting things about ultra games
because if i was to tell someone what's the difference
between you know ultra and steam or ultra and epic without having
to dive into the web 3 components and you know
they don't they don't support web 3 blah blah blah blah i think tokenization of
game licensing that you know factor of being able to
buy a game and then sell it to someone else
in itself is you know quite remarkable to be honest so i wanted to just maybe
spend a bit more time um understanding how that would work
is it kind of the same model that we saw in like the brick and mortar game stop
stores where you walked in and gave back a game and someone else would buy it off
of you as a used one or like how how does that actually work
actually that's a huge step up from the existing solutions uh so the one that
i would say still exists today but you know not so many people are
going to more brick and mortar shops the big difference basically is that today
if you want to resell a game there is zero incentive
for the people who made that game and they are left out of the equation
so they're definitely not incentivized to let you do that
and so you need to physically go somewhere you know
people still like to go outside but maybe to do something else
um and here the big difference with ultra games is that actually
uh the secondary market is start uh from the get go by the publisher so
like okay cool i know my games so i'm gonna publish
them i know how i'm gonna uh do my discounts in the future
i know i want to distribute it in which regions so there is many parameters
that they already know how to manage and they know they are able to
benefit from the secondary market so as a player
obviously you want to be able to resell your games because
i mean anybody can look at their steam library see how many games did they
actually played or finished that's even a different level
um and they're just taking dust and making
you know just being their zero zero usage right
but also the publisher don't have an incentive to actually give you
the opportunity to do something with those games and with ultra the fact you
tokenize those games first you truly own the game license
like you have the nft in your inventory and you can deal with it
according to uh you know blockchain rules that are
defined which can be okay the publisher let me resell the game
that's great with a minimum price of say 15 bucks
because he know who is going to manage his discount after so it doesn't destroy
his own business but at the same time you get back a
percentage of it of the resell so he is incentivized
actually to offer you the solution so noah has a gamer you have the choice
for the same price do you buy the game on steam or epic
are you by the same game that you press the same button to launch
still the same game uh but actually can reset it
and obviously it's much more interesting if you can transform
um all this content into actual cash that you can reuse to buy more content
you can buy more games you can also buy more within the game of these specific
game developers so that's really on the the gamer side
but the other aspect is how this can be used
as a proof of ownership which means you can benefit from lots of
advantages from the publishers or partners so you can say hey
this guy on the last call of duty for example
i'm gonna give him a free beer in my bar sure you can do that
this guy can prove he owns the game simple uh the same way you could get an
early access because you bought the game
quite early on so you can track on chain that you bought the game earlier so you
have an access to specific tournaments um or you get a special version of the
game which gives you access to an ama with the the the developers and
the list goes on you can really have lots of
potential so it it's not only about resetting it's also about
uh added benefits on top of owning this game
thank you for expanding on that um david i had a question
about that closed beta that you guys hosted i think you had something like
1000 players um i think you ran it for for quite some time
what were some of the i guess takeaways or
some of the lessons that you guys learned whether it was you know things
that you were doing well or things that you needed to improve on and
how's that experience been so far because obviously i think everyone's
super excited to get their hands on the platform um
i kind of have a sneak peek preview version of the platform that i've tested
on myself as well um but i'm just curious to learn from
you know the thousand plus testers what was the overall sentiment and feedback
yeah so i think one thing that was very useful is that
you know we've been able to test the the platform on
a lot of different hardware in different environments
which is always important because you know
there's always you know edge cases and special cases that are really
hard to catch unless you you know it actually happens
um and so we got feedback there allowed us to fix
you know a bunch of bugs um which were difficult
otherwise to identify um and then there's feedback
you know about you know usability you know
clarity um there's feedback about layout these kind of things and so
you know we were taking all of these feedback very seriously
um and uh you know also the thing that happens is that
you know there's a lot of stuff in our backlog
um so sometimes you know they you know explain the stuff that we're
we already agree and it's already in our backlog it's going to be fixed
um so and and then sometimes we get insights
of stuff or another perspective from users where
it's not always you know we would have thought
about it in another way um and you know this is very helpful and so we
you know we we we're doing these um you know
um like market studies like where we ask
questions um and we get very valuable feedbacks we
you know compile them into you know um sort of like graphics and and then
based on this we can take you know um decisions so overall it has been
um very positive um and uh yeah we're looking forward
continuing to do that so you will be able to do this at a much larger scale
in terms of sample size um but uh yeah so far so good
no that's great i just pinned the the tweet at the top i'll stay with you as
well uh david for this next question but i was just
wondering in terms of the the plan for the launch i know obviously you guys are
doing it tomorrow i think it was was it 4 p.m
utc uh the exact time something like that
um what's the plan in terms of the launch when it comes to the actual
games that you're launching with are you know is there a
a roster of games that you're planning are they all web 3 is there some web 2
in there like what's what does that look like so
and tomorrow everyone loads up their you know ultra games platform what are
they going to be looking at what's actually available for them to
to use and play around with i think in terms of of content so we have
a blend of web 3 and web 2 content um what you see today is pretty much
current so we are still adding some games
but the goal will be really to scale over time
more and more games so if you launch a game store and you put
say a thousand games that's great i mean it looks good
uh but is it efficient for a thousand games it's not
um what's good is actually to provide content
which is promoted properly uh which is acted on
and which we would get excited about and that's that's you
you can't follow a thousand game at one time so the idea is for you to roll
uh constantly some more and more and more content
promote this content largely uh so people can be attracted excited about
this content so when i'm content i'm in games
um the second type of content which i think would be very exciting is the
the games which are like fully integrated
uh with ultra technology uh so that's you will be able to see that
not here for the first few days um but pretty short short time you will be
able to see also some uh some games that have this um integrated
technology and this way you can see obviously the
advantage of um earning some enough earning some
let's say unix which are the our nfts uh being able as well to
get a tournament around this game so you know really start to see the ecosystem
helping the growth of those games um but in terms here of pure content uh i
think it's really like a sort of rollout and that's how
how you want to roll out a platform that's the best
best approach at least in our eyes
i wanted to flip the narrative a bit i've been talking a lot about
you know um testing ultra games as a gamer i'm curious
from uh you know game studio or developer perspective like what does it
actually take to get listed on ultra obviously you guys are
tokenizing game licenses so for example if my game does cost a
certain amount i understand that that would be
you know the the cost of buying the game but what if for example i'm building a
free-to-play game is that also still an option to get
listed so i'm just wondering from you know maybe i'll pause i'm asking too
many questions but um as a game developer how do i get
listed on ultra and what are the possibilities or options for me
on the platform yes uh in in terms of options so you have
premium games which are like the traditional you pay for the game
you get the game uh that's it you have the free-to-play games
those are the i would say the two two large ones
for premium games so you get basically a much
better uh bang for bucks compared to steam
so by default if somebody buy the game on ultra
as a game developer you earn 85 percent of the revenue
at least can go up to 88 percent uh and on steam basically you have only 70
percent so that's a huge difference for basically clicking on pay
and clicking on download so yeah not not much uh thing to think about
uh in this regard for game developers it's obviously
better um we usually so would filter so which games we put on the platform so we
have uh the game developers contacting us
daily to put their content on ultra uh we screen that we select we check
who's behind the game it makes sense it's like a non-developer like a new indie
developer um so we are really happy about having
any sort of so there is some indie developers
that are doing a stellar job there are some large non-developer that are
not always doing the best job so that's uh that's really uh
how you should see that so we have a team that check the games analyze them
and then from there we we put the games on the platform
if it's a free-to-play game uh the model is today
we we know we will we would take essentially a
similar approach to what steam does so we have a percentage on the
transactions uh but the idea here is to really help
you know promote the platform initially so for the game
some games we select we offer this uh sometimes for free
which means we help help them help help you help me
right uh so this is also the approach we have
we know we are new platform so we try to be as
um interesting as well for for everybody around the table
amazing okay cool and then i wanted to touch on something that you know has
also come up in some of the community questions
with regards to i think you mentioned earlier as well amd when you were
talking about your experience with some of these more i guess traditional
um you could say i guess tech slash gaming partnerships
what's the plan to actually bring them into this you know web 3
gaming narrative is it uh slowly drag amd and
and the likes of them into you know actually
paying more attention to the space is it to leverage their brand to
you know i guess improve the reputation of this space like what's the angle of
actually having some of these partners that you guys
you know have announced in the past and obviously someday you're still yet to
announce so beyond web 3 not none of the web 3
gaming partnerships that we know such as ourselves more on the traditional stuff
because i think that's what's really interesting between
you guys and i guess the steams and the epics where
you're taking a pretty um i don't know if
blockchain agnostic is the right term but you don't really care if it's a web 2
game or web 3 game you're basically offering a solution for both
you've got a pretty good argument for you know why a traditional game should
list on ultra versus team when it comes to
you know the fees and so on and so forth and for web 3 games you you know you
have a pretty no-brainer um proposal when it comes to actually
getting some distribution so i'm just curious in terms of the big
partnerships the amds and the likes of them
what's the angle there what are you planning to do with them and if there's
anything you can already touch on that hasn't been announced
when it comes to game developers um you know there's a lot of functionality
that will allow them to um you know commercialize their game through the
form of nfts um to have better sales to
have better promotional means um and so the fact that we tokenize their
game um you know from the get-go uh regardless
of you know whether it's a web 2 or web 3
they're all going to be tokenized um they're going to be exposed
to the capabilities of uh you know what our technology
can do and where it can help um and we believe that you know
eventually they will be convinced simply because they use it
right like as soon as they're going to be using i don't know the way to
tokenize games distribute them through streams
behalf streamers earn commissions from the sale of games and such
um you know they're going to understand that
wait a minute i can also do this for dlc's for virtual items for physical goods
for you know xyz and then yes you can do a
tournament you can give whatever you want in the form of nft you can tokenize
whatever you want in the form of nfts you can have
you know all these different communities that are you maybe
have like a gated communities where you need the nft to participate and so on
and so starting you know basically sort of like with the foot
in between the door you know like like this the salesman
technique right you start with something here where
you know you get your game there and then eventually
you know you realize that there's much more to that
than what you initially thought and i think it's a very gentle way
to you know approach game developers because
you know they're bombarded with you know blockchain
discussions and so on and there's a lot of scams and there's a lot of stuff
that isn't really fit for real world usage
with real world problems you know about like taxation how do you
deal with that and so on and you know these companies they want to
do things by the books and they need real world solutions that comply with
you know international regulation but also they want stuff that doesn't take
them you know a month to set up they you know
ideally they have no work to do and this is sort of like the
the premise that we're working on and we're discussing is really
you know you start with something there's very few effort you know you just
put your game it's tokenized but then once it's tokenized
we're gonna have a call and we're gonna tell them hey you know what you can do
this this and this and this and this and then by the way you could do that for
you know other types of assets than games and then
i think this is going to be a very strong argument to
you know slowly convert web 3 web 2 developers
into a web 3 and so i i eventually i think
you know a bunch of these games are going to start integrating some level
of nfts maybe for a special collection that they do one time
and then they're going to be exposed to the apis and then they're going to
realize wait a minute it's actually really simple
i we can do this for xyz and then you know step by step they're going to be
converted into you know web 3 believers i i think that's that's a good
way to to to put it like that that's how we
i would say on the on the large large ones
such as in the other you know uh worldwide brands
one thing they look at is also how can they
better engage with their users and how can they
you know keep them uh within their brand continue buying more products of
their brand but also how can you monetize them
further that's really what they care more about
than acquiring new users because they already have they're
already known right so it's not like if you're if you have a computer you know
what's in the um that that's really a given so it's
more about how can they nurture this relationship
how can they promote more of their product
to them without being invasive i think those are the kind of points that are
important for large brands and we see that
like if you take MD they have roughly 200 million
i think people or using their driver solutions so that's a lot of people who
can actually see what we do but at the same time if all of
them can have a chance to earn something new
like i don't know a game license which is in the form of NFT and Ultra
um we can do that and that's not much work
it's not highly complicated because the technology foundation has been
has been developed in that sense that it can be used so must market
and in a seamless manner so that's really the angle
we took is make it really usable and
digestible for anybody in gamer and so that's appealing for
a lot of the large brands uh and as David mentioned we take into
consideration the problems that uh everybody should
consider which are like IP rights, geo-pensing, taxation
like all the things which is usually overlooked in startups or
in the blockchain space generally but that very large companies care about
they can't do results and that's part of the foundation
foundation of work that we've done with the technology
i appreciate both of you chiming in i have two questions one is a follow-up on
the first one so tomorrow's launch obviously you guys
are a pc platform so can i get it on windows and
macbook ios or is it only available on windows at the moment
so today it's only on windows soon i think we would be able to add
mac and linux mobile is not yet ready
because simply we don't do mobile games we don't you know it's another story
another audience which is also valuable but it's a
different story with much more competition
well we saw the gap in the market or first and foremost on pc
this is where really there is a huge gap and a huge demand
and yeah i think in terms of games if you check like any hardcore gamer
usually the game on pc that's a that's a bit a given uh so for mac linux
obviously it's uh they're great great solutions
but it's not the first the first choice for gamers and also in terms of
market size obviously pc is it's much bigger for for the games
industry in general how many more gamers are given on pc than mac
yeah it definitely makes sense i was uh you killed my second question
because i was gonna ask about mobile because that was one of the questions
that came up but i think it's fair to say that you can focus on pc and still
capture a huge chunk of the market i can i will
add to this that um actually the platform we
we built in the delivery system is and all the libraries that we
we we have are mostly already cross-platform so we do have the desire
to be cross-platform um the first step that will happen is
that we're and which is a client that we're about
to have for the first time internally in the coming
month um is going to have a client that has
all the functionality of ultra except the games distribution platform
so you know marketplace will work while it will work
um you know uh the the sorry RNA will work
but you you won't be able to download uh games on
on mac and linux um and eventually we will support this platform where you can
also download the games and play them on on these platforms
but we go step by step and we focus on the
you know lowest hanging fruits which is really pc
vast majority of of pc or desktop i should say gamers are really on pc and
so these are the ones we address first but it does make a lot of sense to have
you know people on mac to be able to access
the various dapps that we already have and also
you know third-party dapps that are about to come such as
you know agoradex and you know ultra is live and you know ultra times and and
so on uh that are um you know that could very
well be used on on mac today you'll see on the mobile side you
also have in the future we'll also see the
potential to connect you know to your ecosystem with your
with your mobile because simply it makes sense if you're on the go and you need to
do something you can actually do it from your mobile
but providing like a game store on mobile is
another step but yeah i think using the technology as david mentioned
all the mobile would be doable the sdk you know
is already compatible with all all platform including mobile and
console playstation xbox nintendo whatnot but it's just not part of the
direct application ultra but it can still be part of the ecosystem so if
somebody decide to make a dapp that works on mobile
it would be compatible with the rest of the ecosystem through the book chains
the nft you have on one end would be pretty much usable on the other end
other without any any hassle that's what
got it cool now i want to ask i guess a more personal question for
for both of you maybe we'll start with nico and then we can go to you david
um what are you most excited about for this upcoming launch tomorrow
with ultra games i think it's pretty pretty much uh it's a very big
milestone for us uh because we've kept all of it under
wrap for a very long time because we wanted to make sure there's no like
big issues but also because we keep on developing a lot of it is
invisible like one day you see the game work the same day it works for so
but yeah actually didn't know it was we fully changed the technology behind it
added the trm on top of it but for you it was seamless
and that's the goal uh so i think what i
most excited about is free to see um
we can finally talk to everybody uh easily without you know
needing to hide some part of the of the of what we are building because
live so when we talk with any partners they can directly see
okay connect download try uh that's a great way the fact of being public
um and then the other aspect is really to get the feedback of
of everyone on how do they feel about the platform
and for web2 audience i think it's uh
they're not going to see like as much difference because
simply it's seamless uh and that's what they expect but i think on the web
story side uh i will be very interested to know how
people feel people who are used to play web3 games
um how did they feel about signing up on ultra
uh buying their first game uh launching their first game
uh what would be their feeling uh to see like
yeah let's see back again i think we're gonna be pretty cool to to hear
yeah on my side um i'm super excited uh that it goes live um tomorrow
um you know this the platform is
um constituted of tons of systems in the back end
um lots of servers lots of services um and so i'm i'm kind of like you're
curious and excited to see you know larger amounts of users using
it um seeing how everything behaves um and
and yeah and and like nicole said the ability to just say
hey you know just download have a look at it
will make our bd life uh you know so much simpler um you know people
will be able to actually touch the thing it's going to be much more tangible
this will allow us to start conversation with a lot of game devs who
you know simply don't have the time and you know sometimes they just say hey
you know get back to us when when it's live
so for us it's some it's an important milestone on the tech side
um but it's also a very important milestone
on the business development side because you know it's live
it's going to be much easier to start discussions
um with everybody so that they can actually see how it feels
how it works um you're going to see you know that
like nicole has mentioned also yeah it does it has a great user experience is
nothing you know evil about it um and so we
can start educating the the games industry about you know
what is possible um and and what they can expect from us
so so yeah that's these are the main things that i'm excited
cool definitely exciting uh to see you guys both
share your own personal takes as well um we talked a lot about tomorrow and
what's going to happen with the launch and you know
what kind of got you to this point i'm curious as we start wrapping up as well
because we're about to reach the hour mark and i don't want to keep you for
too long um what's next for ultra so you know
ultra games goes live what happens next what's what's on the road map in terms
of you know whether it's new features or new
focuses or what do you guys have in mind for the
next few months now that you've actually launched the thing
so there's um one major um functionality that is going to happen a
little after the release it's the game
tokenization uh which will allow people to actually
own um the nfts in their inventory uh so it won't be the case tomorrow but it
will be the case a little later so after tomorrow we will be um
starting the process of migrating what we call nft v zero
or unique v zero to unique v one uh which is a major update that will
simplify the lives of um you know uh unique developers whether
it's games or dapps or whatever um and after this
update has been done so essentially the functionality is code
complete uh we're just we just don't want to do
the two release at the same time so that we can handle um you know
potential bugs uh in a proper manner instead of
potentially having you know um you know two bugs from two
different areas uh but soon as it's launched we're
going to start working on the migration after the migration
we're going to be working then on the games tokenization
and after that um we are going to focus a lot
on uh developer onboarding developer tech
adoption um and really focusing on providing
you know excellent development tools so that everybody can benefit from
this amazing technology and then and then of course
what nicolas mentioned also before the exclusive games
there's some amazing stuff uh coming super excited by these they are going to
be leveraging our technology um you know in
every single aspect um and so so it will be a not only it's
going to be a i believe a fantastic game but it's also going to be an
incredible tech demo uh that will show what is possible
with our with our technology
yeah anything you'd like to add nicole
uh yeah pretty much i think what they would have explained is
what's up and coming but also the launch of ultra arena
that would be an interesting thing to see knowing that that's not
ultra like developing it is developed by third parties
so that's a big thing because we can see that it's not our internal team doing
it so it's really the usage of all our
tooling all the things we we put uh available
to developers uh it means that's what you can do with it
without you know much complications so that's uh
that's good so serve as a good proof of how the tech can be used
but also is going to be very exciting to see
uh users joining ultra and from from this angle as well
because ultra ultra has is a ecosystem uh
wouldn't only bring users to ultra ecosystem because if they want to buy a
game but it can be because there's a big
discount on the game that's also something coming
uh because a big discount or because they want to own the game reset it
or because they want uh to participate to tournament
or because you know there is many potential
entry uh entry doors to ultra uh and then the ecosystem is there to
retain the users and feel feel at home and try all the
different services that are available to them
um so try we know would be great but also the chrome extension
uh will be soon available and that will allow
any third parties any websites uh to actually leverage ultra uh
technology so the identity standard but also the blockchain
uh and you know the whole the whole system
outside of ultra meaning that if you want to have your marketplace you can
make your marketplace and tap into all the NFTs available for sale
or if you want to do i don't know uh if you want to do your own sale if you
want to do say uh create you know a project and do your
own sale on your own solution your own website you can do you can do so still
using your tech uh or if you want to do i don't know
a marketing marketing stance you can i mean everything is visible it's
just what you see today on uh ethereum or
other blockchains uh would be feasible but uh in the more seamless way faster
way no gas fee so you don't need to go get some
easier or whatever other sidechain um so yeah that's i think going to be a
big uh a big thing that's why chrome extension
plus the fact we can open more and more the
blockchain technology to everyone would be a huge boost
that's great i didn't even know you guys were doing a chrome extension i'm
always learning something new that you guys are working on uh speaking of
uniques that david just mentioned earlier we are giving away
three uniques the three lucky winners um that will i believe
entitle you to three games for free on ultra so
if you're excited about the launch make sure that you join that giveaway pinned
it up at the top um nico david you know i took i think enough
of your time but before we wrap up i want to ask you a
very generic broad question um ultra aside none of the stuff that you guys are
working on necessarily what are you most excited about in web
3 gaming um or what do you look forward to over
the next few months and years in the industry that you're currently in
i think to me it would be really the adoption um
like seeing the the large experience that you can have today like with a
i could have due to a kind of strike other large large ones i really want to
see that um you know ported in a sense and
adapted to uh to this new new vertical and see
uh the adoption i think that's going to be very exciting to see
uh what can be done because what we think is doable
i mean that's one thing we think there is a lot but what all the people were
highly creative today i can do with with the technology
um and bring to the to the world would be i think really amazing
i think so it's all about the synergies that you would be able to see between
every product every service every piece of content
every community as well i think that's going to be the
sort of glue will be will be the the technology that
that is developed around the web series
yeah um i agree um another thing i'm super excited is to see the first mega
success in the web tree um so we've seen the
very early ones um you know a couple of years ago
um because it was novel and so on uh but now
you know professionals are stepping in incredible games are being developed
um fantastic looking games made by you know very experienced developers
is really what i'm looking for um sort of like
um you know we've been facing a lot of negativity
in the nft space and um these games are going to turn the tide
because it is possible to do you know fantastic games with nfts
um we just didn't have the opportunity to do it
making great games takes a lot of time um and
you know they've been working for a couple of years already or three or five
years um and the first you know awesome titles
are about to come so i'm super excited to see them
um this will give you know the the another perspective for game developers
it will give them i think also um new opportunities um and so i'm
i'm really looking forward to to seeing those
cool thank you thank you for both for sharing that um before we wrap things up
i want to just make sure in case i missed
anything besides obviously big news ultra games launches tomorrow 25th
april tuesday 4 p.m udc um everyone can jump in and start
playing around with it and testing and you know buy their first uh
game that will soon be tokenized like david mentioned and you'll be able to
not tomorrow but very soon resell it to a friend or to wherever you want
besides all that that we discussed did we miss anything is there anything else
that you guys want to highlight about the launch tomorrow
no i think we we want first thanks um everybody who's been following us for
all these years it's not it's not the the end of the of the development but i
think it's a major milestone and i think it's also thanks to all the
support we had from the entire community all our friends and partners as well
including polka starter it's it's really key when you build something new
innovative you can't do it by yourself you need support of of of people that
believes in what you build and yeah i think we cannot be more more
thankful to to all the people who helped us
cool i was waiting for david to unmute there but cool thank you guys so much
for joining uh it's been a pleasure as always obviously it's great to have a
chat and you know i think it's uh even personally it's quite remarkable
watching this uh unfold because obviously we first uh got connected
many many months ago and the relationship's been going on for
quite some time so as much as it is a milestone for you i feel like it's a
milestone for us as well so it's great uh you know watch this uh alongside you
guys and i'm super excited to see the launch tomorrow and hopefully the
the response from the community and then everything else that will follow with
ultra arena and everything that you guys are building so
once again thank you from you know all of us over here for what you guys are
doing um and before we wrap up i also wanted
to thank everyone that joined in or whether you know you're from our
community or the ultra community thanks for tuning in until the very end
i will remind you we are giving away three uniques i think we're
picking the winners tomorrow actually so you still have some time if you
haven't downloaded the launcher yet if you haven't participated in that
make sure that you do uh before we wrap things up tomorrow
and to you nico and david thank you so much for joining us and giving us your
time today uh best of luck for tomorrow i know
it's going to be hectic so i'm glad i got a hold of you before
things got crazy thank you always a pleasure
thank you thanks everyone thank you
