one of the first products on ultra in the well one of the handful who have integrated our
Wallets and I'm going to be using our wallets in a physical item drop

Perfect. Well, you give everybody just a quick introduction what you do at meta brew who you are
And then we'll move on to some questions. Absolutely. So thanks. Thanks for having me
Thanks for organizing this Twitter space. I'm glad to be here. I'm Holger Holger Manvala
I'm one of the founders of meta brew with seven founders in total
I'm one of them and I run the company meta brew society gmbh
So we are a kind of limited liability company in Germany
I run the company as the managing director or CEO
here in in Germany
Awesome, thank you so much for that and just just a quick one before we dive into the whole conversation
But can you give everybody just a few sentence description of what meta brew is?
Why you guys are quite a specific brewery
Absolutely. So we we actually started
As an NFT project with the promise that from the proceeds of selling NFTs
We're going to acquire a brewery in Bavaria and and we deliver
free beer for life to our holders that was that was the basically the idea with which we went out early
Since then we've basically followed up on exactly that promise. So we did mint in
in September 2022
we sold about
1300 NFTs in the period between September 22 and
March 23 and
for about a thousand dollars each and
And from the proceeds basically we have acquired it was not a straightforward process
We actually acquired initially a brewery that that that we had to unwind the deal again
But we finally we finally acquired a brewery
in northern Bavaria
with actually more than 500 years history at at at the location and
And since last September so to September 2023
We have been producing beer at this brewery
We have been shipping beer to our holders now for the fourth quarter in a row
And so we've been following up on that on that promise. We acquired the brewery and
We shipped free beer
To our holders 60 cans per quarter 240 cans per year in total per holder
We organized events. So we had
We had our second
September fest in the brewery, which is basically our plan to the October fest
But we're not allowed to call it October fest because October fest is a brand of the city of Munich
so we call it September fest and
And we we have that in the brewery once a year. We had an event in Las Vegas last year for our holders
We have an affiliate program where our holders can participate and can acquire customers for us and get attractive
commissions for that
Etc. So yeah, we're an NFT project and we are an operational brewery. We drew awesome Bavarian beer
Normal traditional Bavarian beer, but we also have some innovative brews in
In our portfolio a number of light beers with
2.5% alcohol only so half the alcohol of a normal beer half the calories of the normal beer, but full taste
Which we're also shipping to our to our holders, but we have that available on our website also for sale and
And now we're actually getting into the space of
brewing innovation, so we have a product line and that we call the innovation line and where we have
non-alcoholic brews 0.0 percent alcohol with added benefits and
One of these one of these brews is a product that we're going to talk more about today
I guess our gamers brew we have it in on a kind of parallel name focus brew
We will be getting into gamers brew in a minute, but it's a super interesting to hear about your guys's brewery moving from
Excuse me one space to the other especially into a new brewery with such a such a long history
And I was actually recently in Germany. I attended October first for just a few hours
I could not stay longer, but I do know one thing is that Bavarians know how to make the beer
So as soon as as soon as we are able I will be trying that
Metabrew beer however just to make it clear to everybody in audience as well this new product that is being launched
By Metabrew is not a beer. It is a non-alcoholic energy drink
Directly the games it is a gamers brew and speaking of which
Perhaps you could give a little just a very short break down
We're gonna touch on gaming brew give a little breakdown about what gamers brew is in terms of the energy drink itself
maybe a little bit about what makes it up and
Yeah, just one thing as well see made. I'm not sure who you are, but I see you requested to speak
It's only gonna be made of room ultra speaking of this one. Feel free to DM us for another time
I don't know what's happening today, but a lot of people want to jump on stage with you longer
So yeah, give us a little breakdown of gamers brew and we'll move on to the questions
Sure, sure. Absolutely. So get the gamers through actually is
It's one of these brews of our innovation line
So as you correctly said it's it's not a beer in the tradition in the traditional sense
It's a it's a non-alcoholic beverage it non-alcoholic beverage
But it the underlying drink basically is a non-alcoholic beer
So it has more it is it has hops it has yeast it has everything
basically a beer takes with zero point zero percent in alcohol and then we add actually additives like
ginger and
Ginseng and and guarana so caffeine actually with the time release effect and
And that is something that actually it's an idea that came out of our community
to target to target gamers coders
and everyone who actually likes likes a good beer and and actually
regularly typically consumes energy drinks. So the idea was why not combine both and
And do that in a way that that you have the taste of beer of a non-alcoholic beer
Obviously, but but you combine it basically with the energy and concentration boosting
Additives ginseng ginger and and caffeine with time release effect. So without basically the peak
And and that was the basic idea for for the gamers brew
We have been circling this idea in our community. I think for a good year now and
And so we we decided when we started talking
I think we initially we started talking in May last year
It was a while ago it took it took a little bit of time to get everything done but
But but here we are. So the the products ready
We're gonna launch this product together
After this joint launch, it will also be made available to our community
But but basically the the drop on your platform is the first time this product and basically
puts a foot on the on the on the floor and we
Excited to be joint launching this with you when you first spoke to us last year about gamers brew
We thought it was a great idea. We thought it was a great use place for our
Platform and our launch pad because it does pull a few things together
And you know, I have seen in the community a few people asking what does this have to do with ultra?
What does this have to do with gaming?
And I think these are fair questions and I think you've started answering them very well

I'd like to touch on that because one of the things that defines meta group is you guys do have I mean
Like you said you started from a successful NFT project you turn into a brewery as a product
but now you do incorporate NFTs into your strategy as a brewery and working with you guys I can see how
Focused you guys are on delivering that and what we have seen is how engaged your community is because you are
Delivering products that also speak to the community
What can I say community artwork and the symbols that got sort of bring these communities together?
you guys are putting these on your cans you guys are building campaigns around them and
Why would you drink some generic mass-produced beer when you could drink a beer that was limited edition?
Or an energy drink limited edition made specifically for you holding, you know
A little memorabilia of the NFT you holding your wallet
So to me it makes total sense and more importantly you guys aiming a energy drink at gamers
We are a gamer platform
We aim all of our uniques as much as possible towards the gaming space uniques and if teens in other words
And we thought it was a perfect marriage of what you guys do and what we do
And at the end of the day, it's quite a bit of fun as well. I'm excited
I know I'm gonna pick myself up an NFT and I want to try some of this
Try some of the gamers brew energy drink
But tell me something a little bit about what motivates you to keep using and integrating NFTs into your brewery strategy
Is it something that you see build a community long-term or is it just something for fun that you guys like to do?
Or is it simply because you started as an NFT project and you just carry on with that strategy?
Well, I mean we we we we chose the cotton to combine
NFTs with the brewery on on purpose. So
To be honest the idea of doing something with NFTs was first and kind of brewery
It was just the best idea that came around
but but but ever since
We have been convinced actually that that NFTs and
Web 3 and community building building a brand community
Building building the community of of brand
ambassadors and dedicated people that that help us build a brand and help us build this company is actually
The next big thing that you can do in marketing
I mean, we've all come through web tool. We see the basically web tool
Advertising
Opportunities become more and more expensive becomes more and more difficult to build a brand in
Web 2 and really stick out because in the meanwhile basically the big budgets of the of the large corporations
They're they're being poured into the social media platforms
So the so the classical web tool
Way of of building a brand from scratch becomes harder and harder, so
we're convinced that there's something there's the next big thing the next approach is around the corner and this is going to be web 3 and
And and we believe that that community building is a vital element of it and and
community
access and community
Participation is something that in a digital space is best managed through NFTs
That's the reason why why we use NFTs basically all around so
we have the Genesis NFT that grants free beer for life, but
Connected to the Genesis NFT is a our allowance tokens
Which we drop once a quarter where every NFT holder actually can use then these allowance tokens
Which are NFTs as well that they can be burned for basically
Claiming the the quarterly beer allowance
Were were in preparation actually to do kind of another smaller NFT
less beer
lower price
Not beer forever, but beer for a certain certain number of years
Which it will stop then so the Genesis will be the only one with with beer for life
but and and and another important element I think of the web 3 space and community building is actually bringing different communities together and
I'm quite sure that that we do have an overlap of our two communities already
Actually, I see here in the space. I definitely see a number of of our of the most active
American twin battle we have brew with pretty cryptic catwalk

So these are some of our most active holders and it's it's it's really awesome to see that they're following following us around
Wherever we are and wherever we go, and I'm pretty sure it's the same on your end that that you have a number of very active
holders that that follow you around and
We do the
Indeed, and I think that the power of web 3 these communities is is bringing communities together
working together bringing communities together bringing each other credibility for basically the the
what you have in common and and doing things together building together and
Perfect and that's why that's why we like to engage with other web 3 communities that what that's why we like to
Do more joint NFT drops with other communities where each brings in what what they have?
What what they can do best and what they have in common
Amazing. No, it's a perfect explanation and I agree with every word you said and again
Community members. We also have a lot of little community members at ultra even at the
Hardest possible time for them to join. They're always here front and center always supporting ultra and I agree with you completely
I think it's community centric. I love the idea of launching a
Energy drink directly to gamers on ultra. Is it a little bit commercial? Yeah, but is it a lot of fun?
Hell yeah, and I think that's going forward as well, you know
We'll touch on it a little bit later
But I know that we have discussed in the past which we do aim to discuss in the future
You know other steps for meta burn ultra to do some collaborations together, but we'll get to that in a minute
For now, let's talk about the partnership of ultra like you already have touched on
You know our communities overlap in terms of interest our philosophies of different brands overlap as well
So when it comes to this collaboration
You've already discussed a little bit of why ultra etcetera
I would like to talk a little bit about how does this align with your long-term brand strategy for gamers group?
They're obviously launching it with a gamers platform. What's the next step for gamers?
Brew and how does this first step sort of take that direction? Yeah, so I mean this the
Targeting gamers targeting people that in eSports
Games in general is is something that you can't do in the classical world
I mean you can't put a gamers brew into the supermarket and hope that gamers will find it
right, so so that there needs there needs to be there needs to be a
Actually works in a digital world and and kind of what's a better approach for
for for for launching a product that then with a gamers community and
So basically the the mid to long term strategy is to build on
For this product to build on partnerships like this. We do happen in Germany
We do have a partner who's eagerly waiting for this product actually to drop
Who is it's an eSports company an eSports team?
That that are onboarded on the idea of doing this together
We were about to reach out to a number of
Once the products out in the market to a number of other and gamer communities
But that's exactly the way we want to do it and we're really glad
that that you are basically our launch partner for this and we can do this together and
You're kind of the the the OGs for for this for this product and for this product launch
But there there's going to be more along this way. That's our approach bringing the bringing the product. We are the target group
Like I said, we are very grateful to be the launch partner for this product. Like I said, I can't wait to try it
I'm still trying to decide which one of our brandy cans I want to get
But I will I will decide on the day. I'll see which ones which ones, you know
Go in a little slow and then I'll grab one
They all look amazing. It's we really love they do
They do and our ultra power collection as some of the people in the crowd will see

Collections on ultra so it's only fitting that would be the first art that is attached to this launch of your product and
We had some incredible artists digital artists all over the world create ultra power together
And again, it speaks about effort that is to your guys community that you're trying to build
And having all those different artists contribute to ultra power and now essentially contributing to your product
Super happy about it. Like I said, it looks great and I'm sure it's gonna taste great
When it comes to you know, the projects that you guys are gonna be delivering soon enough with the eSports team and everything
You know we must definitely talk about that and hear where you guys are going with it because like we said before and I'll just touch
A little bit nothing they sit in stone
I'll just say that for the whole community
But we have spoken before about future collaborations of you know, digital objects of meta group pieces in games that kind of thing
So we are looking into that in the future and we're going to continue that conversation
But that's just a little sneak peek for everyone in terms of the upcoming drop to the unconscious of time

But in terms of the upcoming drop, let me just drop a few details for everybody in the crowd those in the meta brew
Community as well as ultra's we have four pieces that are dropping on the launch pad on Wednesday the 24th of January at 2 p.m
UTC that is going to be on our launch pad
We have ultra power number two, but ultra power number five
We have elemental souls the air soul and elemental souls water soul
And I just want to make it clear to all the ultra power holders in the crowd at the moment
Yeah, we chose air and salt and water for an obvious reason is that those two things combined?
You know make let's say air and water are both within the can so we thought that would be quite funny
But either way we chose those four pieces of art to be our initial IPs on cans
They're all going for $50 each. There are
100 supply each plus a little bit extra for giveaways that you can currently see tagged at the top of this spaces

So you're going to be receiving a ticket to a tournament that is going to be hosted by ultra and the prize is sponsored by

The prize for that very sweetly by meta brew is a case 20 cans

What's special about this is it's a collector's case and it has five of each of the different IPs
So you've got four different types and five each of them make up 20
So if you manage to win that you can claim you don't have to choose you can claim all four

One more detail about the drop that is very important everybody if you have not seen already
It is non tradable and non transferable at this stage
Simply to make sure that anybody who does claim the cans already
They do not have the ability to relist the unique
This is again an initial drop with meta burn ultra and that we will be doing follow-up drops
Hopefully in the near future where we will have
Let's say stronger mechanisms for that kind of to avoid that kind of trouble
But for now, we care about the community. We don't anybody buying a unique that has already been planned on that note
Olga, do you think you could give the community a little bit of an idea of how it works from getting the NFT?
What we call a unique to claiming it on your website
I'm sure it's very similar to the rest of your holders claim process, but we would love you to outline it for our holders
Yeah, yeah, so so what we actually do we have integrated
with integrated your your
Chain and into our system. So what we do if someone actually
Enters our website and locks on with this with his wallet
we actually check whether the NFT is in the wallet and
If you have the NFT in the wallet, you will be directed basically to a
to the order process so you can order you can claim your your case of
Of gamers brew and and once you've claimed it and and
The order process is closed
Basically our system just simply takes note of
Of the NFT ID having having ordered already so you can't order it a second time
But but it's a pretty straightforward process. All you need is your wallet with the NFT
Connect to our website claim your your gamers brew order it and done
So it's it's very straightforward. It's more or less the same process as we are doing it with our allowance tokens
With the difference that that here we're not burning the token for the for the so we're not burning the NFT
During the order process. We we do burn our allowance tokens for NFT holders, but obviously
It and and so it it will stay available but but that's that's the process very straightforward very simple
Was a very good collaboration

So I checked with with Andy our our CTO before
And and he basically said it was it was a joy working with you guys and looking forward to doing this again

No, the the claiming the claiming is set up so it can be it can be claimed immediately after purchasing

We're gonna you're gonna be able to walk straight from the launch pad and you're gonna be able to connect to ultra wallet
Claim your can't just a reminder and hold the curtain for got anything of this wrong
Just a reminder shipping fees are not included you're responsible for those and also if you are based in the US of a there is a
Quarterly delivery timeframe where you'll be able to order but if you are based in Europe
You are able to order year-round. Am I missing anything there?
But you can order immediately. We're just shipping to the US once a quarter only because the
Import process little bit complicated. So we have from what what we have been doing is in order to basically manage
Manage shipping costs is we order container basically once a quarter
The container contains then all our allowances plus the beer that we intend to sell during that quarter the container goes over
The the beer then gets gets shipped for the last mile and the rest is in the warehouse
so it's it's just you can order straight away immediately, but you'll have to wait until the
Until the next container actually is crossing the ocean to get your delivery. Amazing. It's a clever way to do it
Well, yeah, that's you but anybody who is in the US of a you will have to wait a little while
I'm sure the weight will be more than worth it. But those who are in Europe you are able to order and it will be shipped to you
Without any restriction at this point in time. So yeah, I hope everybody is gonna go and participate

And the other thing I will say is that you know what we have worked out was made a group $50 for 20 beers
