Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Music Thank you. hello guys welcome to i hope you can hear me so today we are starting with our new V-Chain Builder Spotlight for 2026. And today we have guys who have won one hackathon
and also have pretty decent experience here
that they can share about their experience.
So maybe let's welcome the two co-founders of V-Farmers,
which is no longer active, but they will tell us more about it.
Hi, good morning, good afternoon, good evening from everywhere you are listening from.
My name is Ibra, and it's an honor to be on the Veachian Builders space as a speaker for the second time.
and it's an honor to be on the V2M Builders space as a speaker for the second time.
I'd like to take this moment to thank the V2M Builders team for the opportunity
and also extend a big thanks to everyone who are still in.
I will be joining us later.
So in today's episode, I'll be sharing an update on our Akateng winning project from last year,
which we called VFARMAS.
So this is going to be a quick recap on what has happened post-Arkarting.
Yeah, I'll also be introducing a new project that we'll be launching on Minutes
in the coming days, say about five days from now.
uh let me stop here for now and welcome to this space once again
Let me stop here for now and welcome to the space once again.
yeah exactly so uh i just wanted to make our agenda so we have a man here who is our
v chain guy and we also have the foundation here so maybe uh where he will speak about
our goals with VeChain, the stuff, and what can we expect?
our goals with v chain the stuff and what can we expect
Yeah, brilliant. Thanks so much, Nicola, and good to see you guys. And yeah, I guess
the happening year, can we say still happening year? I'm not sure, Jake, if it's a
good time to still say that, but anyways, happening year. Hope you guys had a great start to
2026 I hope you had a great break
And hopefully you will be in building with a CEO like crypt you've joined us today
You're one of our active builders. So looking forward to hearing what you've been doing poorly
You're also here in the room. I'm not sure if you're at work, but feel free to jump in. You guys have some updates as well.
And yeah, well, so another year, another year of Veacham Builders,
and a lot has been happening in the past few weeks.
And we'll be sharing all the details in a moment.
One of the things that we've been working on is to track a bit more
and a bit better the activity from builders.
Something that we noticed, there's a bunch of reports, articles, websites that are reporting
on developer activity on VChain. However, these reports are only using public information from
GitHub and not on-chain information.
So something we've been working in the background
the past week is on a new tracking dashboard,
so like a builder explorer, so that you all guys
will be able to see how many active developer wallets have
been deploying contracts, at least in the past year.
And so all of this should be ready in just a moment,
in a couple days, really. So we'll be pushing the changes in the past year. And so all of this should be ready in just a moment, in a couple days, really.
So we'll be pushing the changes in a couple days.
We've got workshops, we've got more learning materials,
we've got more challenges.
So there's a lot that's going to be happening,
and we'll be talking about it today.
And yeah, I just would love to just open up the space for
Jake, quick hello.
I know that you're going to be busy, but it's always great to hear your voice.
How was your break?
Hello, hello.
Happy 2026, everyone.
Thanks for the T.O.P.
My break was good.
I got ill towards the end of it, and I seemed to have a sticky cough for about two weeks, which was great fun.
But yeah, maybe it's first Christmas.
Obviously, always a special time.
And I'm sure like many of you, you know,
saw friends, family, enjoyed a bit of downtime.
But yeah, 2026 coming out the gate strong,
by the looks of it.
I think, you know, not to talk price,
but Bitcoin seems to be a bit lively again
after the new year.
So maybe it had a few beers itself,
regain some energy. But yeah yeah excited to get a recap here what's ahead of course we've got lots of stuff coming we just had the arbor app
which i see down below i'm getting uh endorsement in the dow which is a great success well done
paulian team uh and yeah just to flag we're gonna have a uh a space with connor next week
sonny's going to be there
so we can we can deep dive into some be better dial stuff then as well yeah i'll uh hand it over
to you iman thank you for uh giving me a moment to speak
well it's always good to have you it's uh good to hear you had a good break and uh yeah sorry you
you got this there was a very annoying virus going on during
the past few weeks um i'm very like i didn't catch it but everybody in my family got it
yeah it was just uh you know we had to wear masks and man and i know but you know ptsd's coming in
quick yeah how was your yeah so like and sanitizers and stuff yes yeah good and
we you know very very chilled with the family my older brother had a baby not
him his wife had a baby so you know had a new member joining the family so there
was a little bit of joy during the holidays just annoying, you know, we had a new member joining the family. So that was a little bit of joy
during the holidays. Just annoying because, you know, that means double gifts for my new
niece, you know, Christmas and then birthday right after. But no, very good. No, it's just
complaining for the sake of complaining. But it was super nice. Yeah.
It was super nice, yeah.
Great stuff, man. Glad to hear it.
Great stuff, man. Glad to hear it.
Thank you. Well, thank you so much, Jake, for joining.
It's always good to have you.
If you want to jump in at any point, do let us know.
Yes, I'd love to crack on with today's space.
We've got two builders that, just like Nicola introduced,
we had them participating in the hackathon.
And funny enough, we had them as one of the winners
in one of the categories.
So yeah, I'd love to pass it back to you guys.
And Nicola, if you could introduce them again
for anybody that's been joining us now.
And yeah, let's crack on.
Let's hear what the update is for sure
so uh as i spoke with them they had a pretty rough journey so they work at what the hackathon with
v farmers but now uh they have a brand new project that is in the cleaning industry so maybe we can
start with the questions and ask them like what was the section?
Tell us about the original vision for the vFarmers and maybe you can introduce the project in
simple terms and what was the problem that you were solving for the African farmers?
Okay, let me start by first telling what Viv Pharma is all about.
So during the accounting, we created the Viv Pharma's project to primarily solve problems of farmers having access to credit to start their farming activities.
start their farming activities.
So yeah, especially in Africa,
small-scale farmers actually find it difficult
to access credit or even borrow loans
because the usual way is using collateral to secure loans.
And most of these farmers cannot afford the collateral.
So it's usually in the form of land
or some kind of big assets you can think of.
So what we did then was we created a platform whereby anyone on the Vecho network can stake a kind of pledge for the farmers and invest coins.
So what this does is it allows the farmers to borrow these data placed to them.
So this kind of a trust-based lending system.
Yeah, so that is the overview of the project.
But post-academy, we actually did some improvements.
So what we did is we changed from some logic so we used a uh a format whereby
as a farmer to raise a money for your projects you create a campaign and this campaign has
milestones of what you want to achieve so let's say you want to start a cassava farm so the first
thing in your milestone is okay you want to acquire a land and the next thing in your milestone can be hiring a tractor. So now you create the campaign
and list out these milestones and the amount of votes that is required to cover each of
the milestones. So now on the platform, anybody on the
V-chain can now support you so they see your vision. This can be based on, okay,
you see the farmers' social media's activeness, so you can kind of build a
trust system with them or maybe you know them in person. So now when you get to
the platform, so if a farmer has created a campaign
of for example 1000 vets, so you can now contribute to the campaign. So what we use is we cap each
contribution to $20 worth of vets so you cannot exceed that. So now you get to fit a short survey of how you get to know the farmer.
So if you met the farmer through social media,
so this platform kind of evaluates how much you should trust this farmer
and calculates how much percentage you should contribute out of the cap vets,
which is $20. So let's say you met this
farmers through social media so this platform might just analyze that okay don't trust this
farmer too much you can just donate 10 dollar worth of vets now so for when the campaign goal has reached. Now, the money will be released sequentially
as the farmer completes these milestones.
So after a milestone, the farmers provide proof of work,
which is like media or gazes,
which can be in the form of videos or images.
So now the people that contributed can now vote or downvote as some kind of governance process for the farmer to proceed to the next milestone.
So if the farmers fail to meet the agreement of the campaign, then the campaign will be stopped at the start milestone and everybody will get the money that is left proportional to how much they have contributed initially.
that is left proportional to how much they have contributed initially.
So aside from that, the contributors to there will be any better token as rewards.
So our goal is to create a platform whereby farmers don't have to bring collateral
and also we can provide a loan of no interest.
So because we are able to reward the contributors with better tokens,
so we don't really require for the farmers
to pay back with interest.
So that is what we have actually done.
But along the way, we passed the program
due to some regulations. So we are still actually on the way, we paused the program due to some regulations.
So we are still actually on the project, but it's just a break till we resolve the regulation issues.
So that's about VFarmers.
That's actually a super interesting case.
It sounds that there's a lot of these platforms at the moment.
One is called Crowdcube.
There's a very famous beer company as well in the UK
that raced through similar platforms.
And I think it's super interesting.
So what happened with it?
Because obviously we, you know,
I was reviewing projects during the hackathon
and as well as, you know know a lot more people in in the
VeeChain team check in all the submissions there was lots of people and obviously you guys had a
major spotlight because it was a brilliant idea what what happened with it well I believe you
mentioned there were some issues on the regulations so you know just for anybody that's building
similar products um what is it that you you learned? Like, what happened with it?
And then how did it feel, the fact that you guys had to put a hold on that
and then, you know, start rethinking what you're going to be building
with your team?
Yeah, so I'll be talking regarding the regulation
with respect to my country, which is Nigeria.
So I'm not sure it
might be different in your own case but uh yeah we you need to because our initial idea was to
um able to partner with some local farmers community so the idea was to be able to
community. So the idea was to be able to abstract the blockchain parts of these projects from the
farmers and present it just like a traditional lending system with better offer. So because the
way we presented it, it's kind of the traditional way. So we also need to like go with the traditional regulations by registering the business as a lending platform.
So we also need some auditing and there is a there is a
minimum amount that we should add in our business account then
which we did not have. So that's kind of the red flag we faced then.
So, yeah, that's primarily the issues we had.
And how did it feel that you invested so much time into vFarmers and at the end you needed
But at the end you didn't quit, but you either pivoted to your new project which you will
tell us about shortly yeah yeah yeah so yeah we've invested so much which is the reason why we
refuse to quit and uh kind of change things around and uh it's a reason why we are now working on climate now. So climate is kind of different. It's not targeted to the farmers. It can be used by anybody.
So it's kind of reduced the barrier of how we can go into the market. And we're kind of,
market and we are kind of okay these new projects is actually something that is needed and with
it we can gain some kind of reputation and recognition so it also helps continue with
vFarmers. Sounds really good. Because we have a lot of beginners here also from the Telegram community, what would
you say that was the most valuable lesson that you learned during the hackathon that
you needed to present the project?
Maybe the networking, maybe the idea itself or at the end it's everything about experience.
Yes. against? Yeah, so actually I
even though
overtaking
really need
so you just need something simple and creative
and that fits into the markets at that moment.
So if anybody has an idea that the rating is just too simple
or maybe it's not so worthy,
it's actually not the case
i've also experienced it myself so i think that's the biggest lesson i've learned i
learned during the acting yeah yeah that is it
okay so a quick quick question so sorry nicola jump in. Obviously, you guys are working on a super interesting product, right?
So the main question is how soon can we start playing around with it?
How soon is this going to start being ready for anybody to start,
obviously, cleaning the planet, like you guys are saying,
but also being able to earn rewards and join the ecosystem. Yeah, so regarding the projects we'll be launching in
few days which is the CleanMate. So CleanMate is a platform whereby you can organize cleanups events.
So this is a kind of a map application where you can see, you can discover nearby cleanups event. So this is kind of a map application where you can see, you can discover
nearby cleanups events around you. So you can even play around with how far you want to
discover cleanups event around you in terms of kilometers away from you. And it's kind of
similar to, let's say Uber, but you know, with Uber, you see drivers around you.
So with CleanMate, you see CleanUps events around you and you can naturally participate in any.
So it's two ways.
So everyone can be an organizer of an event and everyone can be a participant in any event.
So regarding that, the organizer approved your request to join the event.
Yeah, so the last feature is the streak.
So streak is more of your personal daily sustainable actions.
So like you're disposing your waste properly,
not tossing it around and maybe recycling, upcycling,
or even conserving energy.
So this kind of personal sustainable choices
you can make and also log it on the platform.
And one thing we have done so well is making it African ready. And what I mean is because in
years there is a big margin between our people, Web2 users and Web three users. So we have make it less stopping
to get on board on the platform. You can even claim your rewards into your local currency.
So for example, here in Nigeria,
we have other supports that Nigerian users can claim
their rewards into their local bank currency
because most of the users will not be knowing how to go around with trading cryptocurrency.
So we have included that too.
And also social logins.
So instead of using Web3 wallet, you can easily connect with your Gmail or any sort of social media account.
Yeah, and on top of that, we actually made it very easy for existing environmental communities
to partner with us. So what we have done is within the app, as a partner community, you get to see
your members in the app. You can also partner with us to create some kind of extra incentives for your community users and so far we have partnered with
a community and also we have one pending so we already scheduled a meeting with the partner so
hopefully we're able to get them on board too. That sounds like a great progress and now I'm
wondering how does the verification system work?
You said about that they need to submit some proof of the cleanup. So at the end it's going
to be before and after pictures. So how is the flow? Yeah, so if you want to organize a cleanup,
so one thing you have to do first is complete a KYC. So this can be either through the V beta passport or it can be our
own primary KYC process. So either of the two it goes. So as someone that has completed the KYC,
you can now organize a cleanup. So you get to add images or even videos of the before event.
Get to add coordinates of the location.
So we have the map interface to pick the location.
You also get to pick the schedule of the event.
So after creating the event, it will be reviewed by the admin.
So when it gets past the review, it will be published on the platform.
So now at that point, any other person in the platform around the cleanup event can now request to join.
So as the organizer, you can either accept a
participant or reject them. So after this has been done and you have
required a substantial amount of participants you need, you can now start
the event. So I started the event because actually the cleanups are immutable, but you can always add updates.
So if you have an update on your cleanups, you can always add it, but the actual cleanups, they are immutable because they are stored on IPFS and on the blockchain.
So you cannot edit, but you can always add an update.
I know let's add an update.
So after completing the event,
you get to add a minimum of 10 images or pictures,
10 images or videos.
So it can be a mix of images and video,
but it must be at least 10 as the proof of work of the event.
Now, the admin get to correlate the before
and the after images and actually verify that the work has been done.
Then for the organizer, they get to rate all the participants on a scale of 0 to 5. So if someone is absent on the cleanup day, you can rate them as 0.
Or if someone is not really performant on the cleanup day, you can rate them as, say, 3 out of 5.
So based on these ratings now, we allocate better rewards to the participants and an additional bonus to the organizer.
So that is that.
You mentioned also... I'm sure i should love uh yeah go ahead oh sorry we're just going to mention the idea of the videos um you know was just getting loads of
uh deja vu from you know uh there's lots of accounts at the moment super big accounts on
social media they're doing a lot of these cleanups they're doing stuff
like you know moaning the loan for mowing the loan for someone uh or they might be i don't know
collecting rubbish on the streets and just you know setting up a camera on the uh trash picker
i don't know what you call it but you know they stick they just are able to just pick up some trash without having to bend over uh your uh you get a lot of people washing cars or or bikes or
windows and all that stuff and funny enough this actually does get a huge amount of engagement and
it's super um relaxing maybe i'm not sure nicola do you watch this kind of content? Yeah, I have seen it on the obviously. Yeah, exactly
It's getting a hype because it's doing it completely for free and they're relying totally on the marketing
So maybe that is another angle that you can use
Yeah, 100% because all of these videos they you know, they're sped up right you're not watching the whole video of
them cleaning or i don't know fixing someone's garden or you know there's there's a dog grooming
channel there you know you just get millions of views because they're just helping people
without resources to wash their dogs um so is that also a plan for you guys in CleanMe to expand to
other, I don't know, like challenges or events?
Yeah, that's a good question because initially when we are working on this, so
we are only thinking of cleanups, even like cleaning activities.
But along the way, we figured out, oh, this thing is actually dynamic and works for many categories of events.
But what we want to do is we don't want to pivot along the way. So we want to go with our initial plan, test the app against our
user base. So in the coming iterations, you actually make these cleanup events dynamic.
So you can have even like planting tree events where someone can
just organize an event that they want to plant 1000 trees for instance and they
are looking for people that will participate in such events so we are
actually looking to widen this feature but for now we want to launch first and get some feedback
so how does your launch event look like so um because this is a very social application right
and it's also um in a way it's is promoting a trend of getting together which is
kind of a new aspect of social media applications right so there's a whole trend of people just
spending a lot of time by themselves especially in the UK there's you know it's always cold
rainy people don't socialize as much.
And, you know, there's that trend of people being more lonely or very, very lonely.
And with this, it's promoting that social element while also getting together to do something good for the planet.
Right. So I'd love to hear how you're picturing the launch event.
So you're going to be getting feedback first,
and you're looking for partnerships.
Are you going to do any large-scale event?
Are you going to do like an in-person meetup
or any kind of challenge to bring people together?
Or, yeah, I don't know.
I'd love to hear how you're picturing that launch for CleanMate. Yeah, that's a good question because if you look at it in this perspective,
just making anyone sign up on the app is going to most likely get its county user base, like people that are not close to get us to even
like form a cleanup event. So the good thing for us is that that is why we have looked into
going in and with existing communities because communities, they already does this work,
just that nobody sees this, nobody accolades them or rewards them.
So that is why we are partnering with these communities.
So they have the community already, they have the members, they have how the organized cleanups event. So with that, we can onboard them to use
our platform to pass to use app to organize their cleanup. And it's the go to strategy for us because
Go to strategy for us because we don't want to deal with scanty user base and nobody join each other's cleanup event.
So the best thing for us is to integrate well with communities that already does this.
And that is what we are doing.
So like I said, we already have a partner on board and they have a cleanup event scheduled on February.
So we'll be using the app during the cleanup event.
And also we have some other partners that are still pending that we have meetings later to onboard them.
Nice. I have one another follow-up question to embody. Nice.
I have one another follow-up
question to this. Because you've
mentioned Nigeria and I think
a lot of people that are not familiar
with crypto. Doesn't that
make a bit of concern
of the users that are using your app?
Like, is it beginner
friendly for someone who's never touched
crypto before
yeah absolutely so yeah when you when you go to the platform so you try to log in you don't see
uh connects your wallets initially so there is the option for connecting your wallet, but it's for advanced people who know what you are doing.
But the main option to log in is connecting with your Google account.
So everybody does this already.
Everybody logins with your Google account.
So this is...
We have integrated a preview to support this feature.
And also, we have struts a lot of Web3 blockchain features.
So, signing messages, if you are logging as a social user, you don't need to see signing
smart contracts, messages or transactions. So we
don't show the user that. And also for the rewards, we make it easy for them to claim
it to their local back account. So for many people, they will not be able to figure out
how to claim the, how to redeem the reward we are giving them.
And they will sort of see it as a scam.
So that's why we have,
make it easy for them to claim the reward
and say that, okay, this platform actually works
and it rewards.
Brilliant.
I just want to jump in
because something that I've noticed is that we've
got quite a good audience right now, and we haven't invited people to start following
CleanMate. So we see that CleanMate is in the listeners' panel. So it's CleanMate DAO,
so add CleanMate DAO. And yeah, please guys, make sure you give them a follow. Give a follow
as well to Vision Builders. You know, if you can them a follow give a follow as well to vision builders
And you know if you can just follow each other. There's another really interesting project here as well
Arba is of the listeners list as well
So I encourage all of you guys to follow them because they've got lots of new updates and
in just a moment we'll start inviting you guys to come up to speak so I
Would love for you guys to start asking for the mic.
Start getting the request going,
and that will bring you up to speak.
I just have one more question
while we're waiting for more people to jump in.
Is where do you see this application going?
So is it gonna be something that you're gonna start
in a particular region and then start expanding?
Or, you know, I'd like to get excited
about the long-term big goals.
So what is that big goal that you guys have with clean mates and how soon would you like
to to reach it yeah so the platform is not limited to our region so it's it can be used
globally but um we are starting here first so it's kind of easy about the project.
And I've got a lot of messages of people that want to start using the app
as soon as they see the waitlist program.
But then we are starting here in Nigeria. So because we integrate where we
use our communities that are here, so we kind of start slowly and expand to
first neighboring countries and from there we go global.
If we go global.
Brilliant.
I think that sounds really good.
I guess sometimes it's very difficult to say, you know,
I would love to bring in the next million users to VeChain.
I think that would be amazing.
So, you know, I'm wishing you guys all the best with the application.
And then, yeah, we'll keep chatting about
clean mates I think is it's a brilliant idea I really hope that we start seeing
some videos on social media of people that are cleaning out on the streets in
Nigeria or anywhere really using clean mates because that would be really really
good and in this case these accounts that are cleaning homes
or cleaning the streets or fixing someone's garden,
whatever it is, they now have an additional incentive
to be able to keep up those activities
and also to keep doing good.
So yeah, it's brilliant.
Paulie, it's good to have you on the speakers as well. Just to give you guys a really quick update is, please make sure you follow all the speakers. Super important. So then we can make sure they get the visibility they deserve. Polly, you're an OG. You've been around probably before, almost since V-Chim started. So I'm sure that everybody knows who you are.
But yeah, just jump in, jump in.
Yeah, it's good to see you, man.
How was your break, first of all?
Great to see you.
It was much needed.
I think all of us know this last couple of months
has been a little up and down.
It's been interesting, but it was a much needed break.
Good to spend time with the family.
But great to be back.
Fun things are happening.
And it's great to see Jake here.
It's great to see you guys.
Just loving what we got going on here.
Loving hearing from Dev and their team as well.
It's been a cool little week we got going on.
So you guys just got endorsed.
Why don't you tell us about that?
You sure did.
Yeah. No, it's a great start to the day today.
The Arbor app is...
Oh yeah, Harris, thank you for jumping up.
Yeah, you could give him...
You could go ahead and mute the space and then jump in there.
Oops, yeah, so...
Let him down.
Sorry. oops yeah so let's do it
I think that you kept poorly muted yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
drop Harris when you get a chance he's gonna try and do it again
been around I've been doing these spaces for a while. I know
these when I see them, it sucks. But no, it's a great start to the day for me today. We got the
Arbor app down there. It's the project that I am a part of along with Wild Bill. We got another
teammate, E, down there and Alex. I've been around VeChain, like you said, for a while, about five
years. An ambassador, have a NFT project.
And me and my co-founder were really excited about finding a way to become a part of this DAO with so many people that are coming in and trying to help shape it and push it forward and push the message of, you know, all of us contributing to a better future.
Right. A more green, sustainable future.
And we've been working on Arbor for a while now,
at least a year.
It's hard to keep track in this web three environment
how long we've been doing it.
But we went out for endorsement last Monday
and we just got our 100 points today.
So very excited.
Now we've hit our first major milestone towards getting on the Dow.
And now the work really begins. So we're really excited to be a part of this and pushing the Dow
in a direction in a way that I think is unique. Even though we're seeing a lot of plant-focused
initiatives here, I think we're trying to approach it from a different angle,
where all of us can kind of contribute in our own way.
So out of curiosity, let's say for anybody that is new,
we are working with a lot of new developers,
we are onboarding new devs,
and the endorsement process is something that we hear being some days quite a new thing right it's new to them and you
know they may not have the exposure or the knowledge or the just overall
networking in reaching to you to get that endorsement so how do you guys go
about you know listing the app and then getting endorsed finally?
But what does someone need to do?
What does each team need to do to be able to get endorsed and be part of the app?
You're asking me the technical questions and that would be more for Wild Bill.
But as a community host, as someone who's interviewed a lot of these teams and tried to help the community get to know these teams, you know, get to understand, you know, some of the grants that they're pursuing, get to knowing their initiatives and what they're trying to accomplish.
I think it's clear that it's very important for teams coming in here to truly get to know this community, to interact and engage with it, to ingratiate yourselves with it as much as
you can within reason, right? I think this community loves seeing teams come in that show
they genuinely care about what they're trying to do. They care about getting feedback that's going
to help them get better and wanting to actually contribute in a meaningful way, you know, and, and there's no
real shortcut for that. There, there really isn't, you know, it, I think it really boils down to,
we have an ethos here in the Dow where we all want to build towards a better future. And sometimes
you got to put in the time and the effort to really show that you're about what you're saying, you know, and,
and that's what I would encourage people is, you know, before you, before you're really trying to
push yourself in, make sure you're really understanding what's going on here, understanding
who this community is, what they're all about, getting feedback and, and, you know, the V-chain
builders, you guys got your own telegram and and
you know different channels which is a great resource for people we have the vchain uh be
better dial community discord we have the vchain official discord we've got the vchain telegram
like there's a lot of channels that you can tap into flame even started up by a chat here on x that has a lot of community members there's a lot
of places that you can go um to to get good feedback and direction and i i think it's just
if you can find a way to really ingratiate yourself and and be a part of this community
and you're you're authentic and you know you you're all about getting better,
then I think this community will embrace you.
But there's no shortcuts.
There really isn't.
But to answer your question, the direct one,
about how to get through this process,
you go through, maybe Jake can come back up and answer this
or you guys can really get into the technical side, but there is a process you can go through, you know, maybe Jake can come back up and answer this, or you guys can really
get into the technical side, but there is a process you can go through. And we have an
awesome person here in Kim. Shout out to Kim. She's a legend. She's been great at communicating
with these teams, letting them know what they need to do and going from there, right? Whether
it's sending them my way to my spaces where we'll talk and, you know,
get to know a bit about what they're about, the process, you know,
there are steps, but we have people here,
whether it's other community members or the foundation that can be great
assets for teams wanting to come in and be a part of this movement of the Be Bettered Out.
That is actually a brilliant answer.
I think it's a bit difficult to talk about the technicals on spaces,
but it's a very good point of being part of the community.
I think that is super important to be able to fully get to understand
just the entire dynamic and just learning what to build and why something is more likely to be
endorsed. Because if you understand the community, you understand the ethos, then
for sure you're going to build something that's going to be valuable for the community and
obviously for all the users that will be using the application in Toronto.
Well, and not only that, a great point, but not only that, you know, meanwhile, Bill, we've been in the community for about five years now, and we've been building this for a year.
And one of the benefits of that wasn't just that we've been able to take our time and make sure it's working right, but also study what's going on throughout the ecosystem.
Like see the issues other teams are dealing with, seeing how other teams are dealing with them and fixing them, seeing tools that are being created to handle those problems, which you might be able to take and integrate into what you're doing right so i i think watching this this dow shape um and kind of following it uh has
really opened the door for us to make sure you know hey you're maybe we need to watch out for
this or oh wow this tool is here now you know we're uh um i think a better swap team and vtrade
i think created a toolkit where now teams can integrate swaps directly into our gap,
which we're planning to do. So we're going to integrate a swap in our application. You know,
there's people right now working like FAB, you know, people around that are building
security tools that are going to be really helpful for teams moving forward that
they won't have to face some of the massive obstacles. Early teams in the Dow had to navigate at costly ones where we were
seeing massive better extractions because of bots and farmers. You know, those teams had a benefit
of being here early, but there's other benefits, I think, that come to getting here a little later and that a lot of those early issues are kind of being solved and paying attention and watching and listening to what things are happening can be really helpful for you trying to build in this ecosystem in ways that, you know, if you're not paying attention, you might find yourself in a lot of trouble.
Yeah, absolutely.
How do you guys go about building?
Because obviously it's two of you
that are building the application.
And so how do you guys go about building an application?
It can get to be a lot of work for just one developer to do anything, right?
So is the goal then to start building up that team to get the application to the stage where you can onboard loads of users?
Or I'd like to ask the same question that I asked earlier.
What is that big goal for Arva and what you guys are building well i think our approach is a little
unique in in that we're community members who have been here a long time um and we're able to
kind of build this from the ground up uh we we haven't needed to ask for money to build what we are.
While Bill is, you know, he's an artist first, and we've seen how much this ecosystem really
needs quality developers. We got some great devs here, but they're really stretched in,
you know, and he and some others in this ecosystem have really tried to develop and grow in that area to be an asset to this community that we know is needed.
And Wild Bill is one of those guys where when he wants to do something, he will disappear and he will figure out how to do it.
And he doesn't leave any stone unturned. And he has a lot of, you know, history and development with web two and, you
know, designing, you know, logos and a lot of graphics and things. This was a, this was a
challenge for him that he was really excited about taking on. And it's been a long road he's been on,
and it's been a lot of trial and error. And, you know, he's had to redo the app once because,
you know, he learned, oh, this isn't actually how this is supposed to go
right and it was because he he realized that um v chain's done a great job of providing
some templates but we wanted to go and create our own template and and that's what he did
uh and it's it's um it's custom made for what we want to do. We think we think when this launches and people see what we have done, it's going to open some people's eyes and maybe some alternatives of how things can be done.
But I am not a developer.
I'm not a tech guy.
I tell everyone I'm a tech idiot.
You know, I try, but I'm a talker.
That's what I do.
I'm a talker.
I'm a talker that's what I do I'm a talker I'm a story guy I'm the I'm the lore writer and
you know I've been making our posts which have been really I think important to us getting our
endorsement is is making sure we're visible in the ecosystem and people are actually aware that
we're what we're trying to do and I'm excited for that moving forward but really I think for
for builders I think the best asset they would have
would be, you know, your guys' Telegram and Discord. You know, you guys have been a great
asset for this. We were able to join the Hackathon this past year. You know, we were able to get
second place in our avenue. And you guys were a great asset, and the people in there, the builders,
some of those who are here in this room right now, it was a great environment to be a part of,
and hopefully Arbor is going to be an example that people can look at in future hackathons
to see maybe other ways that things can be done.
But that's all Wild Bill.
I'm not going to take any of that credit.
You know, we brainstorm and talk about what we want to do.
But he goes into the shop and he builds.
So, you know, I'm proud of the guy.
I'm excited to see what we're going to be able to do.
And, again, just please, guys, down there, lean on these V-Chain builders. Lean on, you know, Eamon and, you know, Stoic and the others.
They're the great developers we have here.
They're a great asset resource for learning and growing.
And go to these spaces, see what's going on.
You know, pop in.
Good to see you guys here.
Make sure to join as many as you can.
Brilliant.
It's actually really nice to hear that combination of having someone that is
techie, although creative as well.
When I spoke to Bill, just a very strange combination of someone that is
highly technical, but also highly creative.
Very difficult to find someone like that.
And then having the storyteller.
His brain is a bizarre place, I'll tell you. But it's awesome. to find someone like that and then having the storyteller so I think his
brain is bizarre place I'll tell you but it's awesome yeah no absolutely really
cool love it it's always great to you to speak with you Polly I'd love to bring
in Harris as well you've been waiting for quite some time you raise your hand
so please go ahead
you sometime you raise your hand so please go ahead i just want to acknowledge that you are not alone
i'm from pakistan region south asia i am also with you and and we just South Asia.
I'm also with you and.
Your role.
And I'm with your cause.
Absolutely.
I want to be a moderator for community moderator for my region.
If you give me the opportunity for that,
it will be mind-blowing.
That's all.
OK, brilliant, Harris.
I mean, you can drop a message to the Veachan Builders account and then we see, obviously, we love
having people participating.
And yeah, just drop a message and then we'll see what we can do.
One thing there, you know, the back of that, there's a bunch of updates that we haven't shared yet.
There's a few things that are going to come on the VeChain Builders account.
One of them is if you go to academy.vechain.org, there is a new section, the jobs section.
So we've been working with the VBetterADAL to put together a list of opportunities.
Again, these for now, they're mainly on the internship level. This is because a lot of the
educational events and workshops in general that we've been organizing have been at top universities
across Europe. And so we've been putting together a list of
opportunities for these students. Obviously there's going to be points
extra for those that join the workshops and they complete the challenges because
then that also gives the teams in VBESA to know if anybody that's applying they
actually do have first of all knowledge about what's uh required and they've
got the drive to you know build on teaching so there is um something new right there and we've
been working on a bunch of things so you know the back of that um you know feel free harris to drop
a message we'll see we'll see what we can do and uh for anybody else, if you want to join the mission
of some of these very driven and creative applications
that are in the VBetterDow,
now we've got a list of opportunities going on.
And we'll be sharing more details as things progress.
We also are organizing a bunch of workshops. We're going to be back in
the Rochester Institute of Technology. That's been a very strong collaboration that we've had for the
entire academic year. We've had super talented master's degree students working on new explorers and dashboards for on-chain data.
We've had teams and students building AI agents on VeChain and so on.
So we've got a list as well of templates,
just like Polly, you mentioned that there's a bunch of templates on VeChain.
We've also been working on a series of additional templates,
anything from again an ai
agent that is deployed on vechin so you can interact with it and then query things like
on-chain data of course but at some point we we could also launch this template to include how to
send transactions to someone um we've got but also we have we've got a we've got a Savers application that's leveraging Stargate, the
staking platform for VeChain as well. And we've got obviously an X2Earn application that we created
and used it as our guide for workshops during the hackathon as well. So, yeah, there's a lot of updates that are coming up there.
And, of course, what I mentioned, the big update as well from our side
is to be reporting on the new, not necessarily just the new,
but the amount of developers that are deploying contracts on VTU.
This is going to be something that is an interesting challenge.
And if anybody wants to jump in to discuss it,
we'll be very open to hear what you've got to say.
This we've been able to track, at least since summer last year,
about 5,000 unique wallets that have deployed contracts.
And in the last seven days, I believe,
there's been over a thousand new contracts
deployed on VG.
And this is on Mainnet.
Now, we'll be refining the data,
and then as soon as we've finished cleaning up the data,
we'll publish the dashboard.
But what that starts saying is that there's
a lot of activity going on.
And I think that we need to start celebrating that.
And I think that it's really, really important that we know that there's activity on the developer side, there are
people building products, they're launching new contracts, and that, you know, lots of
developers and builders, several want to create applications that are on Vechin, and then
for the people that, you know, have and share the same values as we do.
Right. So a lot of stuff is happening there in the back end. We'll be posting a bunch of updates
as soon as we've got all of this. But that being said, it's important that you also get excited
about building on VeChin. Don't see the fact that there's a lot of wallets deploying contracts as a
threat to your ideas. Instead, it's the fact that there's obviously a great demand for
what we're doing here. If anybody's got an idea, we would like to contribute. We're looking
at the best way to identify if a particular wallet or multiple wallets belong to the same developer, basically.
That's going to be the biggest challenge, because we'd love to be able to report on how many new developers are joining us and how many developers are staying with us.
But for now, we can only see the wallets that have deployed contracts and also how many contracts those wallets have deployed.
So you guys will see all of that. wallets that have deployed contracts and also how many contracts those wallets have deployed.
So you guys will see all of that.
But yeah, we welcome any builder.
Join us on Telegram.
You'll see the links on the official VeChain Builders profile.
And if you're new and you're building, you want to build on VeChain and you don't know where to start,
I'd like to point you to the academy, so academy.vechain.org, and you'll see there everything that we've got. We've got
tutorials, we've got the documentation explained for anybody, and you can go step by step. We've got
new guides. This is something that's brand new. So we're explaining certain ways and methods that are not
necessarily explained on the documentation,
but they're also super valuable and interesting
to build applications.
And like I mentioned, we've got also our job support.
There's a few opportunities there.
There are internships, of course,
but we'll be sharing more opportunities as they there are internships of course, but we'll be sharing more opportunities
as they come along of course. I'm not sure, Nicola, what else have we got?
I think we are pretty much over all the stuff, but everyone is welcome to join and to discuss
something new all about the new VeChain goals and the opportunities?
Yes, that's a valid point actually and I think that with that we can wrap it up because I think I've been rambling a little bit. Goals for this year is to keep
onboarding developers. Last year since February we onboarded across all the workshops,
the online courses and the hackathon as well.
We onboarded into VeChain just over 420 developers.
Maybe I'm getting this number wrong, 450 developers,
which is not bad, actually.
It's actually really, really good.
Our workshops started barely with 10 people in February.
And by November, we were getting hundreds of people
joining the workshops.
And these are live workshops in person.
Same as everything that we were doing with the live streams,
walking through the tools etc
we're getting hundreds if not thousands of people watching and engaging with us so
um the goal is to double that up you know we we managed to bring in 450 developers so our goal is
then to double that up and bring in 900 new developers onto VeChin this year.
With this new dashboard that we're going to be publishing soon,
we'd love to be able to also keep everybody accountable to keep bringing people in.
So if we see on a weekly basis, we've got about 1,000 contracts,
and each contract is getting, I don't know, 10 interactions,
then we need to start exploring how can we change that.
We want those thousand contracts to have
a thousand interactions, for example.
And more, you know, we want to keep working
with people like Pauli and Bill,
and like you guys saying and CleanMate as well
and all the builders that we've got
on Telegram and anybody that's joined
us in the past year.
Yes, I think that
2026 has started with a lot of energy
and I'm looking forward to that.
I know that we've asked you guys
at CleanMate and also Arba,
Polly, we've asked you guys for your goals
but what is the one thing that you want to, what is your one year resolution related to your development projects?
I guess I'll go first.
You know, obviously, Arba, we're looking forward to rewarding people for planting plants and keeping them alive, you know, contributing to not just
offsetting carbon and scrubbing carbon, but cleaning the air of their homes and their
neighborhoods and getting people being rewarded for positive activities. But also behind the
scenes, another development, while Bill's worked on is a something called Night Owl, which is going to be something we think is going to be something other teams can use. It's going to really help
them as well. So I think besides Arbor doing really well, I think seeing Wild Bill be able
to create a service that other teams can utilize, It's going to help them get more robust security, save them money and grow this whole ecosystem.
I think that's really our big goal.
So we're excited to see, you know, the end of 2026, what this DAO is going to be and how we can be a part of helping shape it and move it forward in a more sustainable and broader way.
So we are set to see clean use reach targeted numbers
So we are targeting about 1000 users
in the space of three months.
And we are also excited about the impacts that we make with climate because the impacts can be seen
anywhere. So there are a lot of dirty trash land, so it's what you experience every day.
And being able to see how much impact Klimeta will be contributing to the society is what we are actually treated about.
And we are looking forward to come up with our mobile application that also makes it for our users to interact with the
Brilliant.
And Nicola,
what's your
your new year's resolution
for Veja Builders?
Yeah, exactly. So the trend I'm seeing that the
community is getting bigger and stronger and I see there are a lot of new
beginners and some of them are afraid to speak up and to ask the stupid questions
but you shouldn't be afraid everyone was beginner at once so everyone is there to
help because someone can he has already deployed something on main net or
on test net you just need to start building you have ai you have
downloads opportunities and everyone is there on your site
brilliant well guys so we might start wrapping it up there, keeping it short and sweet for this
One thing that we're going to start doing actually is to host these spaces with a bit
more frequency.
Just like every month, we're going to be bringing builders to give them the spotlights, you
know, just give you guys that platform so you can share about your applications,
what you're working on, challenges,
and just to have a chat, really.
And we're also going to start hosting a community hangout,
something that's a bit more filled, a bit less structured.
And we'll see if that can start running for a bit longer so instead of
running it for about an hour or 90 minutes we can run it for a bit longer and yeah we're going to
make the announcement for that also this week I'd like just to give you guys for quick final
thoughts so we wrap it up I see P, Polly, you've posted your space.
So, yeah, I'll start with you.
Yeah, final thoughts.
I think I heard your microwave, so maybe you're having lunch right now.
Sorry that we interrupted your lunch.
I am in the break room and I've got to get out.
So it's perfect timing.
Now, I shared a few things on the Jumbotron. Obviously, I'll link to your guys' Telegram.
So, guys, make sure if you're not in there yet, go to the V chain
builders telegram. Also the announcement for Arbor, our endorsement and my space as well.
I mentioned ingratiating with this community and popping in spaces. And tonight I co-host a
Wednesday night space here in the U S with one of the founders, a designer from the non-fungible
book club. It's a very relaxed vibe space. We just kind of go in and hang out and talk about in the U.S. with one of the founders, a designer from the Non-Fungible Book Club.
It's a very relaxed vibe space.
We just kind of go in and hang out and talk about whatever.
And it's recorded.
So if you want to listen back, feel free to do that.
But I host a couple of spaces a week.
But it's great to hear you guys are going to be doing these even more.
I think these spaces are very valuable.
We get a lot out of them.
We have some spaces throughout the week.
So just follow the people in the room and, you know,
get to know what's going on here and find out ways that you guys can contribute in your own way.
That's the best you can do.
But appreciate you guys for hosting this.
You guys have a great rest of your day and look forward to talking to you
guys in the next one, man.
Brilliant.
Nice to have you.
And for CleanMate,
final thoughts?
Yeah, to wrap things up,
I want to invite
everyone to join our
waitlist program. So, it's just
a simple email input
and a button click. So,
with that, you get to receive
an email on the launch day.
And no spam emails, we promise.
Yeah, we don't like the spam emails.
But yeah, I'm going to be joining now.
I actually have it open on my other screen.
And yeah, lovely to have you.
Also, really good to see that you guys have pivoted
despite the um the hurdles that you're getting from your local government but yeah uh looking
forward to to seeing where you guys are going to be launching very soon
So I think that's all for this one.
And wait for our updates next week for the community hangout.
We'll discuss some topics, whatever we want.
So yeah, stay tuned.
Thank you so much, guys. whatever we want so yeah stay tuned
