Just a blessing to be here with everybody on this wonderful Saturday.
Glad we all made it through the weekend into the new year.
Big blessings for everyone.
Great things to come.
Shout out to the homie Larry for pulling up on us today.
And I just got to let y'all know that today's smoke, your boy is today, his smoke for today.
You know what I'm saying?

It's apricot mimosa that I'm about to light up for today's show.
So, it's going to be a bomb, you know, Smokey, how you feeling this morning, game?
He's getting right to it.
Saturday, baby.
Wake and Bake Radio.
You already know, man.
I love being here with y'all, man.
Appreciate everybody pulling up early.
Larry Sanders, appreciate you and your time.
Appreciate everything you've done for us, vibing with us.
Always keeping the vibes real lit, real fucking original, real fucking genuine, bro.
You're a genuine human being from the interactions that I've had with you already, bro.
I could tell you're an amazing soul.
You're not a regular person, bro.
You are a fucking beautiful person.
Like, for real, man.
Anyone around you is lucky to be around you, bro.
So, I'm blessed to be, you know, able to host this space.
We'll co-host with the homies to have you on our fucking show.
Let's get to it, man.
It's Wake and Bake Radio.
Hell yeah.
I just got to echo all those sentiments.
We have an amazing show lined up for you all, gang.
An all-around awesome human being.
The host of Sanders Says.
The 15th pick in the 2010 draft.
The Milwaukee Bucks elected 6-11 forward out of Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Larry Sanders.
So, we're going to conduct the interview first today, gang, as Larry has a book signing that
he's graciously taking his time out of just to be here with us.
If anybody wants to come chop it up with us, ask some questions, feel free, request up,
throw a hand up, we'll get to you.
If you don't feel comfortable talking on stage, you already know, drop a comment down below
using the bubble in the bottom right-hand corner or hit one of the hosts in the DMs
and we will get your sentiments read.
So, Larry, this is a really unique interview for us, bro, and I want to pay as much respects
as possible.
You're someone that if, you know, you told me back when I was a kid, yamming the ball
with you on 2K, if you told me I'd be able to work with you in any capacity or interview
you, I'd call you a liar.
So, I have a lot of questions to ask on your background.
After that, we'll dive right into the Czar Wellness as well as your new book, Footsteps
in the Dark.
And other than that, it's a chill smoke chester with the fam.
And I'm really excited to vibe out, bro.
Thank you once again for your time.
How you feeling today, gang?
Man, yo, first off, bro, really appreciate y'all for having me here.
This is fam, man.
You know, I've been able to be up here a couple times so far this year.
One time last year, the end of the year, man.
I feel like this is home, man.
I love this community.
I love what you guys got going over here.
I really look forward to this day actually hopping on here and chopping it up with you guys,
man, smoking good.
So, I really appreciate you guys having me on here.
It really does mean a lot.
And, yeah, like you said, it's a busy day.
I got my book signing in a few hours at Barnes & Noble's, which is going to be dope.
It's a children's book.
And, yeah, man, I'm just, you know, I'm grateful, man.
I'm happy.
It's a blessed day.
You know, and I'm about to smoke good.
And I got some of this platinum cherry, lemon cherry runts.
From Zara Wellness.
And it's some fire.
So, yeah, man.
I'm just, I'm looking forward to a dope conversation.
I'm really, really intrigued by the questions that you've asked your guests so far.
So, yeah, I'm excited, man.
You know, let's get it.
I'm happy to hear that, bro.
It sounds like some gas.
And it doesn't stop there, man.
I did the same amount of, you know, what's the word, like research on you, bro.
I'm going to pay the same amounts of respects.
You're someone that we all up here at Wake and Big respect an incredible amount.
So, let's hop right into it, gang.
First, let's talk about your experience growing up, bro.
What was your relationship with the parents?
You know, were they strict, religious?
And who'd you get your incredible height from?
Was it the Pops?
Was it your mom, Dukes?
How'd you get into playing ball in general?
So, my parents, Larry Sanders, Sr., and my mother, Marilyn Smith.
So, they had a crazy dynamic.
My dad, he was about, he was almost 40 when he had me.
And my mom was 20.
My mom was 21.
So, their relationship was crazy.
My dad actually went to college with my grandfather.
And my grandmother, my mom's mom, is only like two years older than my father.
So, grew up in a small town.
My dad, he served in the military.
And then he also was one of the first black mailmen in his area at the time in Florida.
So, he retired from that.
But when I met my dad, when I say that, when I was old enough to understand who my dad was,
he was kind of done with a lot of his life.
But he had accomplished a lot.
So, I never seen my dad working nine to five.
I never seen my dad, you know, do anything but kind of what he wanted to do and provide for himself.
And it secretly taught me a lot about being an entrepreneur.
I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur.
You know, I've been selling snacks on my book bag at school.
I had a lawn service as a kid.
I employed my homies because I didn't want my block to be selling dope and, you know, corrupted with violence.
And I knew we had a chance to change something.
That's what my dad kind of instilled in me.
So, I had a lawn service.
We would cut everybody's grass in the hood.
And that's how we got money.
So, he taught me early about business and entrepreneurship.
So, I kind of fell in love with that.
But I simultaneously fell in love with the ocean, which is crazy.
I wasn't a child athlete.
I was intrigued by the ocean.
I wanted to be an oceanographer.
And I was going to camps every summer to, you know, study the ocean.
And I've been on 20 submarines to this day.
And, you know, I had a deep passion for the ocean.
And as I grew and got taller, that's when I, you know, got into sports.
My mom and dad, they split when I was young.
So, they split when I was like four or five.
At that point, my mom, my sister, and I, we were like runaways.
And so, we stayed in like battered women's shelters.
We spent some time, you know, living in the car, dealt with, you know, homelessness for a little bit.
But, you know, it taught me a lot.
It just made me a very grateful person.
You know, I'm super grateful for anything.
And I've, you know, I've had so many Salvation Army Christmases.
And, you know, I know the power of giving.
So, people have always, like, provided for, you know, us.
So, now that I'm in this position, I love to be able to provide for other people, man.
It's like my passion.
And so, yeah.
So, you know, as I got older, got into basketball, kind of adopted me.
I was this tall, lanky kid.
And it kind of, how I got into it was I was, although I was, you know, intrigued by the ocean,
I was in gifted classes.
I had an issue with authority.
And this was, you know, I learned over time this was the relationship I had with my father.
It was coming out.
But, you know, as a child, I had this big issue with authority.
And I was, you know, challenged my teachers and had a hard time.
So, I always strayed away from coaches and stuff like that because I didn't want nobody telling me what to do.
But then, you know, I got a great coach.
I got taller.
I was about in the 10th grade.
I was actually allowed back into public school because I kind of had, I got kicked out because I was just too rebellious.
And my mom ended up putting me in this private school, which was like a small school.
I had three people in my class.
You know, it was like torture.
But she taught me a lot, man.
It made me grateful.
You know, a lot of my story is gratitude, you know, just being humbled.
And, you know, so I was there for a few years.
When I got back to public school, I'm like, I'm going to play a sport.
I'm going to do something.
I just wanted to indulge in everything that public school had to offer because I was stuck.
You know, I felt like, you know, last three years I was, you know, in a small school with no teams, no extracurricular activities for real.
But it was, it set my ass down.
So when I got to public school, started playing basketball, I mean, I didn't know, bro, I didn't know shit.
I didn't know the rules of the game.
Like I didn't, the first, my first game ever, I scored in the wrong basket because I didn't know you changed baskets at halftime.
Like I go on this, I go on, I go on what I think is a fast break.
And my team was like, no, you know, luckily we win that game, but we would have lost.
They would have got my ass kicked in that locker room.
But I was, you know, I didn't even know the basic rules of the game.
So it took me, you know, I learned, I engulfed myself into basketball.
Like I said, it adopted me.
So I fell in love with it.
You couldn't separate me from basketball.
And in a short period of time, you know, I started playing when I was 15 and when I was 23, I was in the NBA, 22.
So, you know, within six years of picking up a basketball, I was already in the, you know, and it happened so quick.
I had no aspirations for going to the NBA.
You know, it wasn't even a real thing to me until like my last, my third year in college when I got drafted.
Like before that, it was never even a reality.
It wasn't even a thought.
It wasn't a dream.
And, you know, I was thinking about, you know, anthropology was my major.
I wanted to create a service where I would go and sit in cultures and study social norms and dissect cultures and take this data and sell it to Google or, you know, create a company.
You know, that was my vision for my future.
And, you know, like again, basketball just swept me away.
And next thing you know, I'm in the NBA.
I'm playing at this high level.
Not to cut you off, Larry, but those early years of adversity, you know, they really reflect greatly on your character today.
You know, you are a really humble human being.
And that natural ability to articulate and that intelligence, would you say that that's God given?
Would you say that your mom instilled that in you?
I say my mom and my dad, you know, my dad's very articulate.
He knows a couple of different languages, you know, like I say, serving in the military.
So, yeah, he's pretty articulate, you know, when it comes to expressing yourself and your needs in a positive way.
You know, I think I had to learn how to articulate myself.
And when it comes to negative emotions as well, that's something that I didn't really learn from my father.
But, you know, we can dig into that, too.
But, you know, that's having other great male role models in my life that I've had to look up to and learn from.
So, you know, I really think it takes a village, you know.
And sometimes you can't put it all on your parents because you're not perfect human beings, right?
They shouldn't be this indestructible RoboCop because they're your parents.
Like, they're just this person that had a kid.
So, yeah, you know.
And that leads into some later questions about your transition into journalism and media.
But first, that middle ground where you said that, you know, you went from high school basketball to then going to VCU and playing under Shaka Smart.
Was he a male role model in your life at all?
I know he was a brilliant coach.
How was that experience?
Yeah, well, I played for Anthony Grant first.
That's who drafted me to VCU.
Yeah, who recruited me was Anthony Grant, who was really one of my – probably one of my biggest role models.
And he, you know, was really strict.
He was kind of militant, but he was also personable, and he knew how to connect.
And, you know, I learned a lot from him.
And Shaka as well.
So, Shaka came my last year there.
And, you know, he's a great coach as well.
You know, very enthusiastic.
You know, a lot of high energy.
Knows how to get his players going.
So, you know, I was very fortunate, man, to have some really dope coaches.
Hell yeah.
Yeah, and so once you did get into the NBA, you know, feel free to talk to us about anything that happened.
But I kind of want to get into, you know, the funnier side of it.
What was your first crazy splurge, or what did you do with that first paycheck from the NBA?
Because that leads into the entrepreneurship.
Nah, for sure.
Yeah, so I didn't even have my driver's license, bro.
Like, when I got to the league, I didn't have a driver's license.
So, I went down and bought a whip.
That was the first thing I did.
No license.
Got it off the lot.
Convinced the dude, the dealership, my license was coming in the mail.
So, and I pushed that, I was in Milwaukee pushing that beamer for probably, I had an X6, like, baby blue, powder blue, hybrid, drop.
And I had got a Panamera.
But I was just sitting on a Panamera because I was in Milwaukee, and the roads were so icy, man.
Just had me sliding around, even though about snow tires, bro.
Almost ended my career before it started, like, around in Milwaukee.
But, yeah, I went and bought a whip, and then, yeah, I bought everybody cars.
I got my mama a car, my sister a car.
That's dope.
And so, I know that there's, like, a little, there's, like, a way that they handle rookies.
You get assigned, like, a veteran and whatnot.
Who was your veteran at the time?
Of course, was there any hazing or funny stories of you having to pick up the tab for the team or anything like that?
Man, it's crazy, bro.
I would never do that to a rookie dog.
But I definitely, they definitely put me on some bullshit before.
But I had Corey Maggette, which is a great vet.
Drew Goodman.
Keon Dooling.
Marquise Daniels.
I had some dope vets, man.
They was some real Gs.
And I was fortunate because, you know, that's kind of, like, that's not really a thing no more in the league.
It's hard to find real vets, you know.
Like, and when I say real vets, this is what made him a real vet.
Like, he would make me get him breakfast every morning, right?
Every morning I had to get him breakfast, whatever he wanted, bring it on the bus, be there before he got there.
I had to pick up all the laundry from all the players.
And before everybody woke up and delivered it to their doors, you know, and what it made me is accountable.
They taught me responsibility.
I was never late.
I was always the first person on the bus.
And then we'd go to L.A. and we'd go on these road trips and they'd drop us, like, five Gs to eat with.
And they all blessed me with the stipend.
You know what I mean?
I'd be sitting there with $30,000 in my hand, all cash, because they just, here, here, here you go, Rook, here you go, Rook.
Just because I brought them breakfast every day and didn't complain.
You know what I mean?
So, you know, it's just a fraternity of it.
You know, you do, you pay your dues and you don't complain.
The next thing you know, they bless you.
But I don't believe in just making someone do something and hazing and then you're, you know what I mean?
There's no reward.
There's no blessing for, you know, them, you know, I don't, I don't agree with that.
When I ask the guys try to kick some balls in the stands, too, y'all tripping.
Like, go get them.
I'm not going to get them.
Just got me fucked.
I'm not doing that.
I have a couple more questions about the NBA and then I want to switch over to NFTs and the roots of investment, entrepreneurship, as well as our wellness, like we mentioned earlier.
Your career high nights, 25 points versus the Nuggets in the regular season, 2014, 20 rebounds versus the Celtics in 2012, your various playoff runs.
Talk to us about, like, what was your favorite team to go against?
Like, was there any team that you played and then you had a chip on your shoulder?
Yeah, I played against some legendary teams, bro.
I played against Derrick Rose when he was at his height in Chicago.
There were some battles because they were right across the street from us.
So, that was crazy.
You know, Derrick Rose, Joe Kim Noah, Luau Dang, Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, you know, they were killing their prime.
And then you had the Celtics.
They had formed a big three.
It was KG.
It was Rondo, Paul Pierce going crazy.
Then you had the big three down in Miami.
We had LeBron and, you know, Chris Bosh and D-Wade.
You know, then you go over out west and, you know, you have Steph Curry going crazy.
They was formulating that team.
So, yeah, I played against a lot of legendary teams.
Even the – I played – you know, I got a chance to play against Tim and the Spurs and Ginobili and Tony.
And feel that heat, you know, feel that pressure on the way out.
So, you know, I played against Dame when he had LaMarcus Aldridge.
And, you know, Portland, they were – it was tough at a certain point.
So, yeah, I played against some – man, some pretty tough teams.
And it was a different climate at that time because it was a little more spread out.
And now, like, you know, guys are clicking together.
So, you know, you got seven guys on a team that should be on different teams.
But, you know, like I said, it's the click-up now.
It was a little different back then.
Most definitely.
And, you know, that conversation about your time in the NBA, that could go on for hours.
And hopefully we have a follow-up show.
But let's, you know, dive a little bit.
We're going to have a follow-up show.
We're going to have a follow-up show.
Yeah, I would love that, bro.
Absolutely.
And I'm sure my co-hosts here and the other speakers,
they also have some questions for you pertaining to the NBA and whatnot.
But let's dive into the crypto and whatnot a little bit.
How did you first get involved with Web3 Digital Collectibles?
Did you like crypto as an investment route?
Were you a fan of stocks and bonds?
Let us know.
Yeah, so it was right before the pandemic.
And I was heavily into stocks.
And I was, you know, a lot of stocks.
And I took my money out.
And I went into real estate.
I, like, put a bunch of money into real estate.
And I was like, this is going to be the wave.
And then the pandemic happened.
So it was like, it was tough.
It kind of just set everything back.
I was acquiring some ATMs.
You know, I was deep into the Toro and the Uber.
So, you know, it kind of put a hold.
So I started looking into crypto.
And I started buying NFTs and collecting NFTs and learning about the blockchain.
I'm like, yo, this is dope.
And what I felt, what resonated was like, this isn't going anywhere.
So learning this is going to give me an edge.
Like, so I got to, you know, started getting my knowledge up, started a page.
I built NFT galleries and, you know, had hostings and done stuff on, you know, in that space.
So I love it.
You know, I still feel like a novice.
I still feel like there's so much to learn.
And that's why, you know, I really enjoy being around you guys and learning from you guys
and just gaining up, soaking up this information.
Because it is the wave.
And, like, I tell people, man, like, I got a 13-year-old son.
By the time he's 18, like, it's going to be a wrap for me.
Like, if I don't get it, if you don't get it by then, that's it.
He's going to be the CEO.
These kids, they already got it.
So, you know, we're going to be workers if we don't establish ourselves in this space pretty soon.
That's how I feel.
A hundred percent.
And I'm confident that you, both you and your family, are going to be able to, like, get a firm grasp on this
and do some amazing things in the space.
But the concept of NFTs, digital ownership, as well as the technology behind all of these projects,
do you really feel that that's something worthwhile and something that's sustainable?
And, like, how does that speak to you so loudly?
No, yeah, for sure.
One thousand percent.
Because everything else is pretty gate-kept.
You know, I wrote a script last year.
I'm getting into the movie space.
I'm learning even just, like, music as well.
A lot of stuff is gate-kept.
You know, you got to go through certain levels to know certain people and do certain things.
Yo, a part in the introduction.
Larry's super talented, man.
Don't let Larry sit there and try to downplay this dude, one of the most talented dudes I ever met.
I wanted to see if I could get up here and talk.
Good to see the homies with the homies, man.
Waking big.
Y'all always showed me love, man.
So, good to see y'all out here with Larry.
You know, definitely wanted to keep tuning in.
I got to step out.
Just wanted to speak my little piece, man.
Keep being great, everybody up here, man.
I'll see y'all soon, man.
Same to you, Chico.
Have a blessed day, gang.
Appreciate you for pulling up.
Hey, Chico, my bro.
You already know, man.
Appreciate the love, bro.
And thank you, too, bro.
You're one of the reasons why this interview right here and this connection happened, man.
You allowed us to shake this man's hand and you introduced us in a beautiful light, bro.
And for that, you know, I appreciate you, bro.
No gatekeeping, man.
We all open doors for each other, man.
You know, great minds think alike.
We are like-minded individuals, man.
Nobody up here, you know.
I'm going to put it like this.
We are where we supposed to be at.
And definitely keep your eyes on the market.
Stop buying bullshit.
Buy shit that you're going, you know, really, really put your heart and mind into.
And when it's time to sell, fucking sell that shit and buy your gun.
What the fuck?
The straight alpha right there, bro.
But yeah, man.
Much love.
I appreciate it, man.
Man, this is special, man.
Because we met down in Miami at Orange Soda.
And this relationship is just really, you know what I'm saying?
It's vibes, man.
Like, that's why we be stressed at IRL events, man.
You got to meet people in person because you're really locking that, them vibes, right?
Those can't lie, right?
Like, no matter what anybody says online, man, you meet people in person and the vibes is what really sets it off.
And that's what happened, man.
The click happened.
That vibe happened.
And, you know, just a beautiful friendship has blossomed from that, man.
And shout out to our guest today, Larry Fainter.
That event was dope, man.
That was fire, bro.
Yeah, man.
Appreciate it, man.
Appreciate it.
And I look forward to what we're going to do together.
Man, shout out to our partner, CyberKitties, man.
We couldn't have done it without them.
Shout out to the homie Liz.
Shout out to Dive, Creative Days, man.
Everybody had their hand in that.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
It was a real, it's real family vibes, man.
That's what makes these events so special is because we can bring so many people together under one roof and have something amazing and real, you know what I'm saying, family vibes.
That's what we try to, that's what we look for right here, man, is family vibes because that's what real beautiful things are birthed from that, right?
Like, there was a lot of really dope people, you know, Freckle TV, Avogatje, April Union, Goon, Film 3 had their dope-ass walls set up.
You had us upstairs, there was a fashion show, there was breakdances, there was live graffiti, shout out creative, and his whole team, like, you know, it was just so many wonderful people involved.
And it created such a great, you know, say a multi-day event and beautiful relationships were formed, right, and friendships.
And it was just, it's something amazing that happens.
And we need to see more of that in the future.
So, there'll be more of that in the future.
Quink, wink.
Yeah, absolutely agree, Marcus.
I think, like, not only us, but everybody in the space is going to have a lot more opportunities.
Again, not only at the IRL events, but just in the space in general to, you know, make these connections and let them flourish.
But back to you, Larry, I know you have, like, a short time period.
I do want to get as much questions as possible jammed into the episode.
So, we were talking about the NFT things, but I do want to transition over to marijuana and weed.
And, like, you know, that'll lead over to Zara Wellness, which is, again, back in the Web3 space.
Talk to us about your love of weed.
You told us before that you started smoking later on in life.
I would love to hear that story again for the first-time listeners.
And how did you elude marijuana for so long in your life?
You know, a lot of us, we started smoking early on.
Me personally, 14, 15.
But, yeah, talk to us about that whole experience.
Yeah, so I didn't start smoking early.
I was already in the league, so I was about 22 when I picked up.
And for me, it was just the stress, you know.
It was the stress of my job, you know, what I was going through.
Like I said, you know, I was kind of used to being an entrepreneur in a sense.
And now, you know, I got, like, an owner, a manager, a GM, all these different titles of people who are above me.
I mean, it just stressed me out for real.
Everyone had a different agenda.
Everyone had a different motive, a different plan for my life.
It was tough.
So I started smoking.
It was kind of the culture of the league.
You know, everyone smoked, except for me, apparently.
So, you know, the first time I smoked, for real, was the last game of the season.
We're in Denver.
Or, you know, I get called over to, you know, one of my teammates' room, and they blowing down in there.
And they're like, hell, you got to come on now.
And then the next season is the lockout.
So we're locked out for, we don't even know when we're going to start back.
So I'm smoking the whole time during the lockout.
We start back, and we get drug tested.
Was that back when the Players Union was formed?
No, they've been, well, they've been at a Players Union.
But, you know, it was dissembled, and there was, you know, all kind of corruption, and there was a lot of shit going on.
But at that time, yeah, we was holding out because we were negotiating contracts.
And, you know, I was the rep from Milwaukee, so I was deeply involved in, like, what was going on.
And it's hard for guys to hold out because the money, you know, guys were, you got to think.
You had guys that were vets, and they were making, you know, this is our last year, making 50 mil.
And they're not going to get another contract like that.
So they don't really care about the collective bargaining agreement.
They don't care about this stuff.
They just care about getting their money right now.
So they're signing off on these, you know, bullshit terms that everyone has to deal with in the future.
But they won't have to deal with it just so they can get that money right now.
Because if you hold out, you don't get that money back, you know, every month, you know.
So that's what we were dealing with.
And, yeah, so I didn't know.
So we get drug tested.
And I don't know that it takes 30 days to got your system and you can take this.
And I just, I'm new to the culture.
So I put myself in the drug program so that I wouldn't get suspended.
And now I'm dealing with rehab and fucking doctors and all this shit, bro.
And I'm like, I just started smoking a month ago, for real.
Like, it was crazy.
And, you know, past the NBA career that eventually led you into ZAR Wellness, can you speak to, you know,
everything that they got going on over there?
Because I know you're heavily involved with ZAR Wellness.
We also have them up on stage.
Please take it away.
Yeah, ZAR has been a blessing.
They actually came into my life through an interview we did.
I did a shared interview with Razia.
And we talked about, you know, she talked about ZAR and the foundation, why they do it, and the veterans.
And it resonated, you know, my father's event, my sister's event.
And I'm like, damn, this is a brand that I want to be a part of.
You know, it's deeper than weed.
The mission is deeper.
You know, so I'm like, man, we can collab and do so many great things together.
They ship all over the nation.
So, you know, anyone can be a part of this experience that we're about to create.
You know, it's not limited to marijuana laws.
But you're going to be able to get high and feel good and get your shit right.
And, you know, we're going to be able to provide that experience as well as, you know, providing that message that comes with it.
And getting people involved in the Web3 space, attaching crypto to our items.
You know, we have a lot that we want to do and a lot of stores.
So, yeah, I just I love them, man.
It's been awesome to work with them.
And I want them to speak a little bit because, you know, you know, nothing like coming right from the well, get the water right from the well, right?
So you guys speak a little bit.
And, you know, I really appreciate everything we've done.
And then, yeah, go to ZARwellness.com, man, get your cannabis.
It looks like they dropped down, but no, I think they're coming back up now.
ZARwellness, if you want to speak on the topic, please do.
Real quick, I just got to say, yo, this apricot ramosa is gas.
I am going to smack right now.
I told you.
You did not lie.
And it's a really delightful thing.
The terps come through really well.
It's got a good flavor on it.
Like, very fruity on the exhale.
Like, the apricot and, like, peaches flavors come through on the exhale.
Like, it's quite tasty.
It's a beautiful, beautiful strain.
It's one of those strains that if I have the jar even closed in my, like, house and I leave my house and come back in.
Yeah, it's loud.
It's very loud.
Like, through the jar.
Like, I picked it up and, like, I was driving.
I was like, there's no way I'm smelling it.
And I haven't even opened it.
Like, it is still, like, sealed, sealed.
Like, I haven't opened it.
And I can smell it through the jar.
I was like, this is going to be good.
This is going to be good.
Well, first of all, I just want to say thank you to Larry.
Those kind words were so amazing to hear.
And we're so privileged to have met you and to get to work alongside you.
It's been such a blessing just to have your vibes, you know, as part of the Czar fam.
But for anyone who hasn't heard of Czar before today, we are a veteran-owned cannabis company.
And what we do is a little bit different.
We specialize in canna therapy and using cannabis as medicine.
Now, like Larry and Marcus can attest to, we definitely have plenty of things that will just get you stoned and get you high.
However, we do offer free cannabis consultations online, over the phone, in all 23 of our retail locations here in the state of Texas.
We also ship nationwide and do 22% off for all veterans.
You can get verified right on our website if you are a vet yourself.
And go ahead and get 20% off today using code WAKEANDBAKE on some today's flower.
Smoke what Larry and Marcus are smoking.
Thank you guys so much for having us on our website.
Just trying our product.
No, thank you, Zara Wellness.
And who is it behind the page so I can address you correctly?
It's Skye.
It's me again.
Skye, wonderful to see you and have you on here on the show.
I know that you guys are particularly passionate about giving veterans an alternative to, you know, pills or the traditional routes that they have to take past their time in whatever faction they were.
I want to pass it over to Marcus so he can speak slightly on that, just how much weed has helped him in his personal journey and, you know, discuss that further.
Yeah, so for those who don't know, I'm an Army vet, 11-year Army vet, combat medic, two tours overseas, two active deployments overseas, but I've had three deployments technically.
Yeah, man, I came back to my first when I had PCSD, I had anxiety, I got hurt really, really bad on my first deployment.
I messed my back up, my shoulder, I have partial hearing loss in my right ear.
Yeah, I got some stuff that happened to me.
So, you know, when I came back, you know, I was restricted from a lot of things and then I self-medicated with alcohol.
And so now I'm depressed because I can't work out like I used to.
That's driving me crazy.
Then I can't be out in public like I used to because I'm so still locked into what I went through overseas and my brain hasn't reverted yet.
Like they don't tell you that it takes more time than you realize to re-acclimate back into society when you come back from a deployment.
They don't tell you that.
They're like, yeah, you know, resiliency, bounce back, you'll recover just fine.
But no, like now you're driving down the road and you see a stack of rocks and you swerve, right?
It could just be some kids outside playing, but that's not what you think of in your mind immediately.
Or you see a stack, you see some trash bags out built up and stuff, right?
And now all of a sudden you swerve again, right?
Or walking into a building and knowing exactly how many exits, how to the best egress point, you know what I'm saying?
Like how to get out of a building if something went down, how to defend yourself, right?
Looking, sizing people up just as you're walking around.
If you get surrounded by too many people, you get overloaded, right?
Now you go right into fight or flight mode.
People don't realize that because not everybody knows your event.
Not everybody knows what you've been through.
You know what I'm saying?
They don't know what you went through.
So now you're trying to process all of this in your head while simultaneously having to interact with people on a daily basis, right?
So I was self-medicating with alcohol.
And then what ended up happening was it got to a really bad point where I was isolating myself from my family.
And, you know, it got really, really bad.
And my grandmother was the one who brought it up and was like, I don't know what happened to you over there, but you need help.
So that's when I went through my mental health journey, right?
And that's when I started going to therapy.
I quit drinking and stuff.
But then I got all these, like, antidepressants and stuff stacked on top of the narcotics I was taking for the injuries, the physical injuries that I suffered.
So then I just felt numb and I didn't feel like myself anymore.
And I didn't like it because I had a short period where I started feeling normal again.
And then I added all these extra medications and I just wasn't feeling myself anymore.
So then I wanted to come off with some stuff.
So then, like, one of the homies, man, he was smoking.
I'm like, bro, but how are you passing your test, bro?
And he was like, let me tell you how to do it, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
So I was like, you know what, man?
Like, I'm going to try it because, you know, I used to smoke when I was younger.
But, you know, at that point, I didn't understand the plant.
I didn't respect the plant for what it was and its possibilities and its capabilities, right?
I didn't know any of that, right?
I was just smoking and get high, which there's nothing wrong with.
Naturally so.
Many people start off like that, just abusing the plant.
So now I'm switching into looking at medicinal reasons.
So, yeah, then it started helping me with the mental health.
And then I realized that it was also helping me with my physical pain.
So then I'm like, oh, now I can start coming off these narcotics.
So then I'm like, boom, now I'm, like, getting really back to myself.
And now I'm noticing my whole mental is changing.
My mood is changing.
I'm feeling better.
Now I'm moving better.
And I'm just in a better headspace that's now allowing me to be a better version and be the best version of myself.
So, like, I can attribute cannabis as a huge savior to my life.
So, yeah, man.
That's why, like, when I found out ZAR was, A, here where I am, they're veteran owned.
And, you know what I'm saying, the meanings align.
Like, it was just, it was like a match made in heaven.
So, like, shout out to Larry for making that connection.
Big shout out to Larry.
Big shout out to Sky and everybody over at ZAR Wellness.
I'm excited to continue working with them all.
It's something that we're all passionate about, Marcus especially.
Larry, I know his father was a vet, so he saw it, like, secondhand.
And, yeah, I can't wait to continue to work.
But, Larry, tell us about your transition into media and journalism with the Sanders Says Podcast.
You're very well-spoken, educated, yeah, man.
How did you know that that was something that you wanted to do?
Yeah, so I wasn't, I guess I liked the podcast space, but only when it came to, like, mental health and wellness, really.
That's the only one I kind of indulge in.
And I find growth and perspective.
I love hearing from different professionals and gurus.
And, you know, with my story, you know, I have a very unique story as well.
I was very vulnerable in the public eye, and I gave up a lot of money.
So, you know, I think I could create a safe space for people to tell their stories and know that, A, I don't want their money.
So, B, I am, you know, I am vulnerable.
I see the power in being vulnerable.
So, I, if I do ask for your vulnerability, it's to empower someone and to help, not to expose, right?
Because I was in a vulnerable space, and I could have been exposed if I didn't take my narrative into my own hand and tell my story.
It could have been anything, you know, I just retired out of nowhere.
You know, players don't just do that.
You know, I retired in December.
The only player in history to do that.
So, if I didn't speak and kind of control my narrative, they could have said anything, you know, and I would have been fighting an accusation of fighting a rumor.
And I don't want that for anyone.
So, I wanted to create that space myself.
And, yeah, so that's how I created Santa Says, and it's been great, man.
I've been able to have Dr. J on the show, which gave such a great perspective.
You know, he talked about one of his sons who's homeless.
He talked about him losing people as a young child, the transition into Dr. J from Julius Ervin.
You know, I've talked to financial professionals, mental health gurus, ESPN journalists.
So, yeah, I love it.
You know, like I said, I love telling you stories and really giving this perspective, you know, because that's what helps me grow in life.
Yeah, man, you had an incredible life, and I'm sure that that came with incredible connections.
And I know that the shows are only going to get better.
And not to impose, but I can't wait for Wake and Bick to get involved, what Sanders says.
But on the mental health aspect, how do you stay grounded on what's that?
Don't forget After Party, After Party of Sanders Says here on X.
Is that every Monday, right?
Every Monday after Sanders Says.
So, you can go check the Sanders Says podcast live on YouTube, and then you can come on over to X for the After Party,
where we recap and just have good vibes, and we talk about, you know, what happened on the show and other topics.
So, check us out.
And, Larry, as I was asking, how do you stay grounded?
And on the other hand, how do you celebrate your amazing accomplishments, although you aren't done growing and working?
Also, how do you avoid mental fatigue?
Yeah, I think I always say this.
Because if creativity and motivation is a vehicle, then the key to the vehicle would be gratitude for me.
That's what gets my engine going.
That's what gets me started.
That's what reminds me of all the things I have to do.
Reminds me of all the great things that I've done.
And reminds me that there's so much more to do.
And I guess my relationship with death as well, because I know it's—I know you have to take full advantage of the time you have, you know,
because I think I've looked into it so much.
It's like I got past the fear of it and got to the point where it motivates me.
Can you hear me?
Yeah, we can hear you now, bro.
Oh, yeah, my bad.
Yeah, so I said, yeah, I have a—we all got an expiration date.
So that kind of helps with that as well, you know, knowing that we don't have forever.
So you kind of got to do as much as you can while you can.
Most definitely.
And I'm sure you're on the move right now, headed over to the book signing today.
Talk to us about your new book, fam, Footsteps in the Dark.
Talk to us about the whole process of creating that.
What's it about?
And, you know, how we can get tapped in.
Yeah, dope.
Yeah, so I—it was a story that I actually created, and I would tell to my kids when they went to sleep at night.
Um, and it was about a blind boy, um, and I wanted them to have a different understanding of, um, people who are—people who are different.
So, uh, you know, I would tell them a story about this blind boy who would count his steps when he was in a village.
And one day, disaster happens, and he's the only one that can see—well, he can't see, but he's the only one that can—that knows where he is and can lead people out because he never needed to see, right?
He only needed to count his steps.
Um, and, you know, just the—just the power in our differences.
You know, I wanted to express that and give, like, simple lessons like that for kids and, um, and make them rhyme, too.
So my book is a rhyming book as well, and my Dr. Seuss a little bit.
But, um, yeah, I love books.
Um, I've always loved books.
I—I had a reading, um, disability when I was a child, and, um, it was hard for me to retain information when I read.
I would read and read and read, and you ask me what I just read, and I couldn't tell you anything.
Um, and, uh, so that, you know, gained my passion for reading because after that, I became an avid reader.
Um, and I wanted to write books, you know, help kids that, you know, couldn't read.
The rhyming helps as well.
Rhyming books always help me to retain information.
Um, and, yeah, so I'm doing the whole series.
Um, my next one is going to be on death—uh, children who are death.
Um, then I go into autism a little bit.
So, yeah, I'm excited.
And I just checked it out.
You can, um, you can cop out.
Everybody listening, you can cop out on Amazon, Barnes & Noble.
Basically, everybody—everywhere that you consume your reading, you're reading things as, uh, you know, as of today.
So, definitely check that out.
Support the homie.
And I'm going to take the moment to pass it over to Smokey, pass it over to Marcus once again.
Um, if you guys have any more questions, it's almost been an hour here.
Uh, we've had an incredible conversation.
Please feel free to chime in.
My man Larry, man, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your fucking time, bro.
And, and, like, again, man, for just—for vibing with us, man, and being vulnerable and allowing us to be vulnerable with you and, you know, build this relationship, man.
I'm excited for the future.
I'm excited for you.
I'm excited for everything you're doing.
I'm excited for Sandra Says.
I'm excited for the after-party.
Bro, the after-party, you know, ain't no party till it's the after-party.
So, you already know, guys, I got to pull up to that, man, because the vibes are immaculate and the conversations are awesome.
You know, you guys fucking—you guys killing it, man.
You guys killing it, man.
And fucking Czar Wellness, man.
You guys, ooh, from what I'm hearing, man, I just—I can't wait to get my hands on some.
And I know when I do, I'm not going to be disappointed, because my man Marcus already, you know, already had some.
It's already Marcus-approved, and if it's Marcus-approved, then you already know it's gas.
But, Larry, man, so far with Czar Wellness, what has been your favorite strain that you smoked with them?
Now, that's crazy, because it was—yesterday it was the apricot mimosa, but now I'm on these lemon cherry runs.
It's platinum—platinum lemon cherry runs and some gas, too, but it's more of an indica.
I still love my mimosa for the mornings, man.
I just—I love—I love smoking and not feeling like I'm climbing uphill all day.
You know, I like to, you know, get a nice hybrid or sativa in in the morning, so I get that little upbeat.
You know, maybe on a Sunday, I'll like—you know, I'm an indica in the morning, kind of, you know,
I know I got a lazy day, but, you know, I don't like feeling like I'm walking uphill all day, so apricot mimosa.
Apricot seems like it's some gas, man, especially—
It is, man.
Word, bro.
I seen it, man.
I seen the fucking nugs, bro.
It's just beautiful, bro.
Yo, Larry, another question, though, bro.
So, favorite movie to smoke to?
What is your favorite stoner movie of all time?
Ha-ha, that's a good one.
That's a good one, gang.
That's a good one.
I really—it's funny.
I like Harold and Kumar.
I like Harold and Kumar.
That's true.
That's valid.
That's very valid.
That's just a bad one.
Yo, tell me—tell me, like, not—like, once you watched that movie, tell me you weren't craving those burgers, though, bro.
Like, I was.
Bro, I literally—I was like, yo, the first time I watched that movie, Smack, me and my bros literally walked to White Castle after,
they're at, like, fucking 3 in the morning.
It was definitely super late because we were hiding from our parents.
And, you know, like, we had to have those burgers after that movie, bro.
It just seemed like you had to go on that adventure with them.
No, facts, though.
Facts, facts.
And, man, the first time I had them burgers, they made my stomach hurt.
I never looked back with White Castle, but they popped out a lot of promo.
They got a lot of fucking promo from that movie.
The murder burgers.
Nah, that—but then I might catch a Pineapple Express or How High, you know, Half Baked.
You know, it's a lot of gas out there as far as the, you know, the smoking movies for sure.
Facts, bro.
There is—those are a couple of my favorites as well, man.
Half Baked especially, bro.
That one is just a classic, man.
I remember, like, not being able to watch that movie, right?
Because I'm—I'm—I'm 34, right?
So around when—that came out, what, like, 98?
So I'm, like, nine years old.
So definitely couldn't go to the movies to watch that.
I had to sneak that DVD out of, like, my cousin's room.
And, like, bro, it was just, like, the greatest movie of all time.
I was like, why are they keeping this from me?
It's so good.
No, facts, for real.
Yeah, I like—you know, it's funny.
I like, um, I like the first—so when I smoke, it's almost, like, while I'm smoking and, like, maybe 30 minutes after, I like to do something kind of creative.
And then as I'm, like, coming down, you know, that's when I like to, like, watch something or listen to some music.
Or, um, but I like to try to take advantage of the first—like, that first 30-minute head high and try to put something out there with it.
So speaking of creative, real quick, I want to touch on your music.
Um, I want you to dive into what you got going on with the music, man, and how that's helped you, um, and your—yeah, with your mental health.
Because I know music can be an outlet, and, uh, and it just helps get those creative juices flowing.
So, Paul, yeah.
No, yeah, so, no, yeah, um, so right when I left the league, uh, when I retired, I started an artist incubator out in, uh, L.A.
where I was housed at home as artists.
And I had a screenwriter.
I had a fashion designer.
I had two, um, musicians.
Um, I had a model.
And what I would do, um, I housed them, but we would do projects together.
I helped them get their LLCs.
I helped them to create logos.
Just gave them that stability as artists.
And then, you know, it was kind of like a project—it was my passion work.
Um, and they thrived.
You know, they went crazy.
Like, to this day, they are still thriving, man, working with Elton John and Mary Zay Blige
and, like, making classics and just all over the place.
The photographers, you know, teaching schools and, um, you know, so they're all doing amazing.
And I took advantage of that time as well.
I'm like, okay, I got all this talent—all this talent around me.
I'm going to learn something, too.
And I love music.
Um, I started making beats when I was already—my rookie year in the NBA, um, I started making
beats on my computer, and it just—it was, like, all of my pastime.
So by the time I retired seven years later, um, six years later, later I was ready.
You know, I started this company.
Um, and then—so one of the producers that lived in the house, he, um, started working
with Drake.
He started working with OVO, and he was Party Next Door's engineer.
He became—to this day, he's still a Party Next Door's engineer.
And I had this beat, and he's like, man, I got to get this over to OVO.
I got to get this over to Drake.
And, man, he gets it over to Drake, and this is the first—I just left the league.
I'm a year out.
Drake sends the record back.
So I'm like, yo, I got a Drake track.
It was crazy.
I—first beat that I've ever sent to an artist.
First—you know what I mean?
And, um, so Drake sends the record back, and I'm sitting on this track for like a year
and a half, and we're wondering if he's going to drop it.
And he goes to this big beat with Meek Mill, and it's like, he's, you know, the music changed
for him for a minute, because this song's like a—it's an R&B song.
And then next thing you know, Party Next Door drops the song on his album, and we went gold.
And it might be platinum now, but we went gold.
And, um, it's the third song on his album, P3, and, yeah, I made the beat.
He wrote the song, and he gave it to Party.
It was amazing.
It was a crazy, super dope experience, and it was really just confirmation that, like,
you know, it was scary leaving the NBA, bro.
It was scary leaving something that you knew they were going to pay you for it.
Um, it was guaranteed.
Everyone's like, you're dumb as hell.
Like, what are you doing?
Um, and, you know, God—I think it was, like, confirmation that God was, like, you know,
follow your heart, and, you know, I'll take care of you.
And, yeah, you know, it was amazing.
So, um, yeah, it's kind of, like, started my music journey, and now I have artists that
I, um, I manage.
Um, we got some stuff that's coming out.
You know, I've been fortunate to be around a lot of dope artists since then, and I'm part
of some cool projects and learn a lot.
Um, and, yeah, I still produce in my free time, make beats, uh, match-ups and whatnot.
And, uh, yeah, I just—I love it, man.
I think I'm—I'm pretty sure I'll be making music till I die.
Man, that's dope as hell.
I didn't know you had a—I didn't know you did that song.
That's dope as hell, bro.
Yeah, it's Pete Biss Hall, Don't Run, on, uh, on Party's album.
And we want to get up, like, uh, Apple or something.
Yeah, it's called Don't Run.
That's what's up, man.
Big—big congrats on that, man.
And, you know, looking forward to more stuff you got dropping with the homie.
You know what I'm saying?
I've—I've heard some stuff already.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Looking forward to more stuff y'all got coming.
Go follow Larry.
Go follow Larry on Party's album.
No, I think what's—I think what's dope and what's new and what—what excites me is getting—getting music on the blockchain and actually, like, incorporating Web3 into this space.
Because, um, it—that's, like, one thing you asked me earlier, and I got cut off, but I was going to say, like, with the gatekeeping and other, um, you know, with the—with the films and the music industry, when it comes to Web3, I don't—I don't see that.
I don't feel that.
I feel that you can create a safe space.
You can actually engage with your artists.
You can grow.
There's no gate—you know, there's no ceiling.
It's just about, you know, how, um, creative you can be, um, how much you can network, how—how loyal you can be, you know, and have integrity.
Um, so I think with those things still being the foundation of the space, um, it can—it can—it can be the foundation.
That's not—that's not the foundation of a lot of other spaces.
So, I think there's an opportunity here, um, you know, just gotta, you know, be aware of the gatekeeping and just create before, because, you know, it's kind of the nature of the beast.
But, um, you know, like I said, I love what you guys are doing.
Everyone's trying to—in front of the bullet right now and, uh, risk takers.
So, I love it.
Um, and I just want to reinforce that because that's the same potential that Marcus and Smokey saw in the space, and that's the reason why we got started.
So, it's beautiful, and I also want to reinforce everything you got going on, Larry.
Um, I believe you're on the ninth episode.
Uh, the ninth episode of Sanders Says Was with Royce White, um, episode number 10, dropping this Monday.
And then the after party here on X with Marcus the Goat and Larry Sanders right after at 530.
And, um, the book that Larry has out currently, uh, Footsteps in the Dark, The Story of Jacob.
Definitely go check that out on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, wherever you consume your books at.
Um, Zara Wellness, partnership with Larry.
They got some incredible, uh, flower.
They also focus on helping, uh, veterans with their mental health, giving them alternatives to pills and other things that they're usually forced into.
So, he just has an amazing amount going on, and it's a blessing to be working with him.
It's a blessing to have him in the space.
And I'm excited for the future.
Um, Larry, how much more time do we have before you have to go?
Uh, well, I'm on my way up here now.
So, um, I got, I got a good, I got 15, 15 minutes.
All right, no problem.
We'll get into some, uh, you know, just, like, chill questions for the rest.
And thank you once again for spending the time.
I got one good, I got one question.
It's all you, my dude.
So, which, um, so this is about the NBA and the mental health, uh, since we've been talking about,
um, you had the interview with Royce Wright last week.
And, you know, you've got the whole thing going on with Draymond, right?
So, you know, he had the indefinite suspension.
Now he's coming back.
And he had two interviews and he was talking about how, um, uh, coach, he got a really great
relationship with coach Kerr and how he, um, you know, really was like there for him and
trying to help him out and with his therapy and stuff.
And then, uh, and Adam Silver as well was like, you know, Draymond was ready to retire.
And he was like, no, I'm not gonna let you do that.
Let's, let's work through some things.
Let's get you some counseling and get you some help.
So do you think that now in today's NBA, they've shifted more to, to care for the players'
mental health opposed to during the time that you played?
And, uh, are you excited or what is your opinions about the direction that the mental health,
that the NBA is taking with, uh, mental health and the player, and the players and, and those
who work in the offices and stuff?
I think they have to, I think they have to, I think before it was, you know, suck it up.
You're getting paid.
Um, your mental health is your, I'm paying.
That was the, I mean, mental health is not a foreign language.
It's not, it's not something that like, you know, the owners, the higher ups of the NBA,
David, you know, they, it's not like they, they're foreign to mental health.
That's not like their children don't get counseling and they, they understand the power of mental
It just wasn't afforded to us, right?
It was suck it up.
Even though you come from these poverty and, um, tarnished environments and you, you're,
you're, you're grew up on violence and now you're here.
We pay you suck it up, right?
Um, you see, you know, you have to have players that are going to say, no, I'm not going to
suck it up.
What I'm going to do is I'm going to walk away.
And I know I'm the highest paid player on this team.
And I know I'm a marquee player.
I could be an all-star for defensive.
I'm going to walk away and you're going to have to figure it out.
And now there's a morale figure, a morale factor, because now the public eye is looking
at you like, why are you not doing anything for their mental health?
So there's a responsibility factor now, you know, it's, it's all, it's like, it's, it's,
it's pulling, you know, it's, it's just not foreign, you know, um, nothing is, you know,
that, that, that, that business is by design, you know, it's laid out, it's laid out in
the, in the, in the design of it, you know, and that's why Royce White was, you know, banned
from the NBA is because he started, uh, pinpointing the holes and, um, uh, in our, in our paperwork
that didn't protect us from mental, um, scrutiny or, uh, mental punishment or pain and the effects
And there was no residual and there was no foundation for support embedded in the system.
So therefore, when, you know, when guys talk about a step out and, uh, it could be hindering,
It could, it could go against your contract.
It could, you know, they look at you as a damaged vehicle, um, when they can just go
get a new Honda.
Why, why fix the door on this Honda when I could just go get a new one?
And with that mentality, why, you know, it's hard.
Why would someone come forward with, about their mental health?
Why say I'm going through anxiety and depression, you know, let's just suck it up.
Um, but like I said, the morale has changed, the perception has changed due to, you know, certain
guys may be stepping out and saying things.
Um, and, um, now it's to be respected, you know, Kyrie taking mental health days.
It takes, it takes the top.
It takes it to, to, to start at the top level because the Royce whites are just going to
get banned.
The Larry Sanders, you know, it can sweep me under the rug, you know, but the Kyries and,
you know, the, you know, Draymond greens, you know, it's when they do something, no, it's,
it's going to be no state, let's figure this out.
And, you know, my approach was, if you try to leave, we're going to sue you.
We're going to come from every, for every dollar you've got.
It wasn't, we're going to surround you by support because you could be going through
something real.
It's no, you're not coming to practice and it's a problem because it's in your contract.
you owe us this time.
So I love that the, the energy has changed and, you know, but I don't think it was,
it's, it's internal.
Like, it's like, Oh, you know, we got to do something about it.
I think it's like, Oh, we got to do something about this.
The public perception is, it's good shift.
Not, you know, our players are sick.
So you got it.
You got it.
And it, and it's, and it sucks.
Like, you know, like at one point it's like, why, why can't you just lead with the compassion
Because everybody is human and everybody, you know, deals with stress.
The same way that you're dealing with stress, the same way your family dealing with stress,
I'm dealing with stress.
It don't matter what my paychecks look like, there's stress in all forms and all levels, right?
And the part, the biggest thing is a lot of people weren't taught properly how to deal
with stress in the beginning.
So if you're not taught properly how to deal with stress, no matter of money is going to
improve your ability to deal with stress until you learn and understand how to deal with those
stressors.
So that's just what it is.
So, like, they should lead with compassion, lead with the mental health, because at that
you solve a lot of problems and you improve work environments and you improve people.
That, that's, you, a lot of people are in a business of numbers instead of the business
of people, right?
Let me make sure my numbers are straight and then I can check on the people.
Like, you need to make sure your people are straight.
The numbers will come.
Well, the business model isn't, isn't really meant for, it's not a people, you know, that's
just not the business.
You, you, for the business, you're a number and you have to be looked at as a number for
You know, like we can't, it's not, I can't dig that deep and, you know, be looking at,
this is their mindset.
You know, they can't dig that deep and be looking too deep into what's going on with you
and why, you know, that's bad for business in their model and that, in that business
And, you know, I mean, I just read something that came out recently and said, you know,
every team is going to have a therapist in the NBA, but what you and that therapist
share, we, they can't say that they can't hold it against you.
Come negotiation.
It says that it says come negotiation.
We can't say that what you share with this therapist won't be held against you.
Like, how safe is that?
That's bad.
So now you just cover your ass.
You just cover your ass.
You just knock their privilege.
You just got this, you just got this guy here to cover your ass and maybe snitch on some
guys and maybe tell you that guy's dealing with anxiety.
You got to get him out of here.
That guy looks like he might be depressed.
Got to get him out of here.
Or, you know, what, what, what, what are you really doing?
So we'll see.
That's completely useless.
Like that, that to have that clause in there is wild.
Like I wouldn't, there's no way I wouldn't be like, yeah, I'm cool with that.
Like, no, bro.
Like I'm not going to go see that therapist.
I'm still going to go see my, if I'm, if I'm going to therapy, if I need therapy, I'm
going to see an outside therapist because I can't trust my team therapist.
Like that's wild that you put that in there, like you just let me know that I can't trust
my team therapist and to not go see my team therapist because you go hold it against me
when it comes to me to renegotiate my contract and my ability to take care of my family and
my, my building and stuff.
Like that's wild.
My, the Milwaukee was the first team to have a therapist and it was because of me and
they had a therapist come in and he spent a lot of time with me.
He was real dope.
So when I went to retire, they wanted him to say that nothing was wrong with me and
I was faking it because he wouldn't say that he quit.
No longer works for the Bucs.
We have contact after that.
You know, it's just, and then people say like, Hey, you want to go back to the NBA?
You want to go?
It's like, they, they, they, they gave me, they showed me it all on the way out.
And, you know, they kind of, they, they, they showed me it all.
And, um, I, I pray for the climate of the NBA.
I play for the prep, the players, and I pray that things change, but, you know, they were
trying to manipulate my situation.
And thank God he was a real dude and he stood on his principles and, you know, I was able
to free myself and actually have some money for my family, um, to live.
So, that's what's up, man.
And then I know you playing big three.
So how's life in the big three?
I love the big three, bro.
I ain't gonna lie.
It's love.
I'm talking about, we, we blowing in the locker rooms after the game type thing.
You know what I'm saying?
Like it's, it's, it's love over there, bro.
It's all love.
Um, Cube is dope.
He had every game.
He showed love to the players.
He actually hosts NFT events in every city.
So before the game, the night before, there's NFT events.
And, uh, for the holders, um, nah, it's real dope, man.
Um, really interacting with the fans, do a lot of fan engagement.
Um, I'm planning on going on a book tour with them this, this summer and just, um, you
know, just hitting every city and, you know, there's a couple other players.
There's a book out by then, um, where I want people to be able to journal and answer questions
and interact with the book and my story.
Um, so that's dope.
I'm excited about that.
And, uh, yeah, they, they just, they dope, man.
They, they, they love the players.
They're all about, um, mental health, um, inclusiveness, web three.
Um, yeah, man, I, I, I love being around them.
I can't wait.
You know, June, the season starts June at the end of June.
So probably like June 22nd and it's like eight, eight to 10 week season.
Last, last year we went all the way to the championship.
We lost to, um, Nick Young's team, um, in the chip, but it was great, man.
And, um, we were in London, championship was in London last year.
Um, first time being in Europe, that was sweet.
So I'm excited, man.
I'm excited about this year.
24 is an exciting year, bro, but I'm coming for that championship.
So started putting this work in real soon.
Going for the chip.
Larry, and I watched a lot of those highlights, man.
It looks like you having like the time of your life out there.
You look like a, you look like a kid out there enjoying time, bro.
So like, that's dope, man.
I'm happy you found that, bro.
And, and yeah, man, the chip, you, I know you coming for that chip, bro.
I know you are, bro.
Especially being so close to it.
So, you know, your team is going to go out there and fucking ball out, man.
I expect nothing less.
It was dope.
It was my first year.
My last year, my coach was Lisa Leslie.
So it was my first time getting coached by a woman.
And it was dope, man.
It was a dope experience.
She's dope.
She's a legend.
You know, that's Michael Jordan.
That's the female Michael Jordan gang.
So, you know, Lisa, shout out to Lisa.
Got to play with Joe Johnson last year.
The Pargo brothers, Jamario Moon.
My first year, I got to play with Rashawn Lewis and I played for Gary Payton and I paid for Dr. J.
Yeah, bro.
Just, just, just, that's the thing, bro.
Just being around all these greats and rubbing shoulders and having this experience and becoming friends with legends and, you know, players that I thought I would never play with.
You know, I'm able to interact and play with them.
I think we lost him.
He entered the dead zone on the road.
He's trying.
Fight back, Larry.
Fight back.
The ones, the twos, the left, the right.
Hey, it's all good, man.
It was an amazing episode so far, regardless.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
Nah, man, it's been dope.
Come on, Larry.
You're almost back.
Man, I'm fading away.
It's like a, oh, oh.
He's trying.
He's trying.
He's trying, man.
It's like an engine you winding up.
Hey, well, this episode was one of those ones that you could definitely got to run back from the top.
The first hour was packed with information.
We're definitely going to have a follow-up, so just stay tuned.
This isn't the end of the extent that we're going to work with Larry and Zarr Wellness.
Just keep your eyes out.
As Marcus mentioned, every Monday, the after party with Marcus the Goat and Larry Sanders.
It's going to be dope as fuck, man.
Yeah, man, and this ain't the end of the episode, either.
Absolutely.

You heard it from the man himself.
It's going to be a vibe.

Got to check that.
It's going to be a vibe.
Do they let you smoke on YouTube?
I don't know.
So, I said, we can smoke.
That'll be the only show that I smoke on.
We'll smoke up, and we won't say what it is.
You feel me?
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
There you go.
See, he know the ways to run out.
Back, back.
Just rose petals.
Get out of here.
What are you talking about?
Well, I'm actually pulling up the bars and nobles right now.
Excited about this, man.
Going to sign some books, give them away.
It's going to be love, take some pictures.
And just really, really promote this message that I got.
So I really enjoyed this.
And, man, I look forward to the next episode of Wake and Bake Radio and the next guest.
And, you know, you guys got me on here permanently.
Y'all ain't going to be able to get rid of me for real.
So, you know, I appreciate all this.
And, you know, it's been love.
Likewise, my G.
You're part of the family now for real.
And can't wait for everything you got going on.
Can't wait for everything we got going on.
Enjoy your day, bro.
Enjoy the book signing.
And we'll be in contact soon, my G.
Let's fucking go.
What up, Larry?
Have a great book signing, my friend.
See you around, man.
You already know.
We're going to keep in touch.
We'll have some fucking virtual sites here and there.
And I can't wait to have Wake and Bake on the Sanders Says podcast, man.
It's going to be a vibe, man.
And, yeah, man.
Have a great Saturday.
Watch those football games, too, man.
Watch those football games.
Wait, who you got tonight?
Who you got tonight on tonight's game versus the Dolphins and the Chiefs?
Who you got?
Come on, man.
You know I'm a Miami boy.
Ooh, they going to be playing in the cold, though.
I hear it's so cold out there, bro.
I hear it's so cold.
It's like, what, negative 30 or something like that with the wind chills?
That's crazy.
Nah, that's definitely going to play a factor.
Them boys better warm up.
Border boys don't like that cold.
That's all right.
That's kind of our kryptonite.
Yeah, it's going to be a good one, though, man.
We'll see you.
But, man, appreciate you, bro.
You know we already locked in.
So, man, we'll be talking.
And go and have an amazing book signing, bro.
Keep doing amazing things out here, man.
And appreciate you pulling up today.
Thank you so much, man.
I think it's that time of the show, man.
We're getting to some GMs.
We're getting to some general discussion.
What you thinking, Marcus?
I think it's time.
I think it's time.
Hey, we got the homie Prophets in the motherfucking building, though.
You already know the fucking vibes.
Fucking Shanice.
OG, triple OG, triple triple.
What's good?
Shanice already sleep, man.
It's Saturday.
It's too early for her.
Yo, this Africa promotion is gas, though.
I'm not even going to hold, y'all.
This shit is good, man.
I really like this.
Pass that, bro.
Pass that.
I am thankful.
Shout out to Zara Wellness, Skye, Roz, the whole team.
Man, just, man, this shit is delightful.
I'm not even going to hold.
Yo, I see my homie Meta Dad down there, bro.
I see Meta Dad.
Are you crazy?
Meta Dad's in the building on Saturday.
Shout out, Meta Dad.
Let's go, Meta Dad.
Yeah, just pass the mic around, man.
Get some more GM.
You know what I'm saying?
What's up, family?
How the family living?
I don't know who we're giving it to.
Let's give it to McFly.
Yo, McFly.
That's myself.
Let's give it to McFly.
Yo, McFly, what's good?
You did it.
GM, McFly.
Yo, GM, GM.
I got to say, bro, this was a fucking spectacular episode.
You know, I love getting to know people on an intimate level, and I think this interview
is definitely something I'm going to chop up and make some content out of.
But listen, bro, honestly, he touched on a lot of shit that, you know, me personally,
I'm involved in, you know, with Styles P, we all about, you know, wealth and health, you
know what I'm saying?
And on top of that, you know, Styles is a huge stoner, and, you know, we putting on for
the music and the blockchain, you know what I'm saying?
So, I definitely want to get Larry and Styles P connected some way, somehow, because I feel
like, you know, their energies are just vibe.
And they're into this, you know, they're into a lot of similar shit, you know what I'm saying?
P is a big sports fan, too.
So, you know, I feel like, you know, just having to meet, bro, definitely set off, you
know, a good relationship in and out of Web 3, personally, bro.
So, I don't know who I got to speak to, but let me know, because I definitely want to get
P and Larry, you know, caught up on one another.
But other than that, you know, we in the Wake and Bake fucking radio, episode 92.
And I just interviewed Larry, if y'all just tuning in, make sure that y'all play this
shit back, because it's definitely worth the listen.
But, um, I'm here, bro.
I'm just, I just finished rolling up some, uh, some candy kush.
I'm about to get stoned, you know what I'm saying?
I wanted to stay focused, bro.
I ain't gonna lie.
I had a great breakfast.
I wanted to wait a little bit before I smoked, because had I smoked right after breakfast,
that would have been curtains for me.
But, um, good motherfucking morning.
We here, we alive, you know what I'm saying?
You already know the vibes.
I'm grateful to be amongst a bunch of legends, man.
And, um, I'm here for it, bro.
Honestly, I wanna, I wanna get caught up with a lot of shit this year.
I wanna make a lot of moves.
Um, you know, not only with my community, bro, with anybody that's doing shit.
You know what I'm saying?
You ain't even gotta be a part of Web3 if you got something that, you know, we can work
on and create growth.
You know what I'm saying?
That's the type of time I'm on 024, bro.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Like I said, let's make that happen, bro.
I definitely want Larry to link up with Styles.
And, uh, Styles is, uh, I'm gonna drop some, well, I can't drop that alpha yet.
But, um, yeah, bro.
Drop that alpha.
Drop that alpha.
Drop that alpha.
Drop that alpha.
I got a certain status to oppose.
I'm trying to lose my position.
But listen.
What the fuck?
You don't come on making big with alpha and not drop the motherfucking alpha, B?
All I'm gonna say is Larry was head on, bro, with a lot of points that he was making that
I feel like Styles P would fuck with, bro.
And, uh, I definitely, like I said, bro, I want to get them, I want to get them together.
I definitely want them to meet.
You know what I'm saying?
Cause they both got some dope shit going on.
And, um, you know, I just feel like, you know, when you mix good energy with good energy,
bro, there's a lot of good shit that comes out of that.
You know what I'm saying?
And as a head model for Styles P and for somebody that's boots on the ground for him, you know,
I would definitely love to bring Sarr in the mix.
You know what I'm saying?
Larry in the mix.
And, uh, anybody else, you know, who, who looks at cannabis in a form of, you know, mental
health therapy, bro, because that shit matters.
You know what I'm saying?
Same thing with the music.
I ain't going to lie, bro.
There's certain times where I'm going through certain shit and I could play a certain song,
And everything changes, right?
Kind of like the same thing when I get high sometimes, bro.
Like, you know, I might be, you know, at a low point and, you know, I might be going
through something, bro.
I, you know, I hit the blunt, all that shit goes away.
You know what I'm saying?
So the fact that, you know, he's putting two of them shits together, I guess, King, I need
all parts of that.
But listen, bless up to everybody that's here.
I don't want to take up too much space.
I love y'all.
Y'all already know the vibes.
Got a bunch of dope ass speakers on the stage.
I want to hear from everybody up here.
I just came to say my piece.
Love is love.
Y'all know what the vibe is.
Love, bro.
You know, you can't go nowhere, though.
You can say your piece, but you're staying right there, bro.
Don't leave.
Unless you got something to do, you know.
Then, you know, if Lowe is grabbing you by the ear, then, you know, I know the vibes
there, bro.
You can't say no.
You know, that's the same way.
If she's grabbing me by the ear, it's over.
It's over, guys.
You know wifey rules.
But yeah, man, we're going to fucking, you know, let's tap in on the back end and we'll
fucking link.
Let's try to make those connections happen, my bro.
I would love to.
Listen, and on that Web3 shit, though, bro, like the big three, I fucking love that Cube
is doing that, bro.
I'm going to give you a little bit of alpha that I can share.
So this year in NYC NFT, we have a major street basketball tournament going on.
We're definitely getting some projects from Web3 involved.
You know what I'm saying?
This shit is going to be televised, just so y'all know.
Yo, is the D-Gods basketball team playing up there?
Listen, tap in, bro.
I don't know who's set for the lineup, but we accepting any community.
From Web3.
So tap in with me, Mac, and I'll see if I can get the form for you guys or maybe, you
know, give you a little detail and depth to get you guys involved.
But listen, the more the merrier, bro, honestly.
You know what I'm saying?
Like me personally, I love to play basketball.
And, you know, if I can involve anybody that's coming out, let alone the whole community,
like I would love to do that, bro.
So I definitely want to tap in with you.
And if we could get the D-Gods in, you know, that would be super dope.
Not only that, bro.
Bro, they have, I only ask that because they have a Big 3 team called the Killer Bs.
The Killer 3s.
Fire, fire.
No, I don't think the, okay, so the NYC NFT basketball tournament, I don't think is in
relation to Big 3.
I would love that, bro.
Honestly, I feel like that shit would be super dope.
But we're just doing this outside of that.
You know what I'm saying?
Just for, like, you know, some good sportsmanship with the communities that are involved.
And, you know, just trying to have a good time, bro.
Honestly, I wanted to do, like, a block cookout.
You know what I'm saying?
We got people on the court.
You know what I'm saying?
We got barbecues.
Kids running around.
People having a good time.
Sharing good vibes.
You know what I'm saying?
That old neighborhood feeling shit.
That's definitely what we aiming for this year, bro.
So, you know, I definitely can't wait for that shit to pop off.
I definitely can't wait to meet up with all my peoples again, man.
Because, honestly, yo, I miss y'all.
These IRL events hit different.
You know what I'm saying?
And I love the memories that I'm able to create with all you beautiful motherfuckers.
You know what I'm saying?
And, honestly, like, that's the main thing that I look forward to is just linking up with
y'all again, you know?
And just being able to grow these bonds that we've already solidified.
You know what I'm saying?
And not only that, like, actually putting some work in and out of Web 3.
But, like I said, I don't want to take up too much time.
I'm definitely going to get at you in the DM, and we're going to talk.
Smokey, same thing.
We got a lot to talk about.
Actually, I got some info on some venues that I locked in out here, some beautiful spots in
Manhattan.
I got a few venues by the water.
But, you know, whenever you finish with the space, we'll definitely chop it up.
And go over that.
But, listen, man, I love everybody.
Thank you for tapping in.
Make sure y'all like and retweet the room.
You know what I'm saying?
Show some love to everybody that's here.
Show the speakers some love.
Because, honestly, every speaker that's up here is a dope-ass individual.
I know most of them personally.
So, you know, there are definitely some great people to follow.
On that note, I love y'all.
Love is love.
Stay blessed.
Have an amazing weekend.
Love you, too, homie.
Love, bro.
Yeah, you already know, man.
We locked in.
Yeah, I already know Marcus can put in a good word for you on that front, like, to get that
whole thing, you know, delegated.
So, I'm already expecting that shit in the future.
Tom, what's happening, bro?
Yo, shout out.
Yo, coming in clear?
All right.
I don't know.
Arkansas is a little shoddy with the weather lately.
Yo, but shout out to Zarr Wellness down there in Texas, man.
I got to go give them a go stop by.
I might meet them, see what's up in Texas, Arcana, or maybe when I roll through Amarillo.
But everybody knows me and how I feel about Texas.
But, you know, 420 is right around the corner.
So, I might make a trip to the border, you know, give a little, you know, a little handshake.
I remember me and Marcus were talking about something like that last year, man.
But, hey, 420 is right around the corner, y'all.
But I'm definitely interested in looking on the products to get mailed to me.
But shout out to Dr. Larry Sanders, man.
That shit, I mean, that show that y'all just put on, that was pretty dope.
A lot of inspirational stuff, a lot of stuff that I was able to, you know, resonate with.
So, yeah, it was dope.
I know I'm going to be able to give him his kudos next time or maybe on Monday.
You know, I was there last Monday.
It was pretty dope.
But shout out to Wake and Bait, holding it down Saturday morning, Saturday afternoons where I'm at.
But, you know, you know the vibe, smoking on some OG Kush.
I'm about to play some juice rolled and then get back to it, you know.
Got the family time going down.
Got some lunch made.
So, just wanted to come up here and say what's up to the homies.
We appreciate you, Tom.
You're having an amazing day as well, gang.
Go ahead, Marcus.
Yeah, man.
Appreciate you, Rhodey.
And, you know, we locked in, man.
And, you know, there's things in the works, man.
But, you know, we definitely got a link soon, bro.
And it's good to see you.
Good to hear from you.
And I'm sure that OG is treating you nice over there.
But you said apricot.
What's the one you said to get?
Oh, that's apricot mimosa.
All right.
I'm looking into that.
It's like fire, bro.
And it's a nice, like, uplifting kind of, like, euphoric.
And I'm feeling pretty creative, too, man.
I'm feeling good, man.
This is a good smoke.
I really like this.
This is definitely Wake and Bake approved.
It gets the stamp.
Hey, you're going to need to toss some over the highway for me down there.
You said you're down in Houston, Marcus?
No, I'm in San Antonio.
San Antonio.
I don't know which one's further.
But, hey, I'll make the walk, man.
I'll make the little drive on my longboard, electric longboard.
Texas is Texas, man.
It's just a big-ass state, bro.
You can drive 10 hours and still be in Texas.
Like, it's just a big-ass state, man.
It's in every time zone.
Yo, Tom, they were saying, I think they do ship.
Was it globally, sir?
Was it globally or just, like, nationally?
Nationally.
Nationally?
Oh, I'm pretty sure that I think that's what they said.
But I just, you know, shoot, I don't know if I should even ask about it or talk about it.
But, you know, me, guys, I'm on probation.
So I'm just doing it.
I'm pretty sure they're doing everything legitly, which is just CBD or is it Delta 9?
I mean, coming out of Texas, I'm pretty sure I'm familiar with what they're providing.
You were still piss hot, according to.
Oh, I'm good.
I got, no.
I got a medical card.
I'm a veteran.
I mean, I don't want to get too far into it.
But, you know, fight for your rights, guys.
I think that's what was said.
But, yeah, I'd like to hear more about it or I'll check it out on the back end, whatever y'all prefer.
So all of our products are, they're hemp derived just to follow the regulations that are put on us here in Texas.
The flower that Marcus and Larry were smoking today, that is going to be our THCA flower.
And so it's hemp flower that's yielded to grow, like, extremely high amounts of THCA.
For those who may not be familiar with that cannabinoid, it's a natural cannabinoid that's found in both the hemp and the marijuana plants.
However, it's like the precursor to Delta 9.
So it converts to Delta 9 under heat.
So as soon as your lighter hits that flower or, you know, your torch hits your rig and you put that dab on, it's going to convert to Delta 9 and have essentially the same effect as marijuana would.
All of our products are federally legal.
Some legal states, ironically, in November have cracked down a little bit on some of the hemp derived THC cannabinoids, just probably because they see a little bit of competition that they don't like.
With, like, the amazing things that the hemp industry is doing right now.
But to further answer your question, we do have a full line of wellness CBD products, as well as our THC line on our website.
We ship to most states.
I know THCA is pretty much legal everywhere.
It's more of those D8s that states are kind of doing a hard line approach to.
And we do do some shipping globally.
Obviously, that gets a little bit gray because we have to look at those international and border laws.
So, like, Mexico and Canada are both states that, like, we cannot really ship to just because they are a lot more regulated, which I honestly approve of personally.
That's kind of what we all want is a little bit of, you know, the FDA to recognize us.
And that's what they get there in those countries.
But, yeah, to answer your question, we do ship pretty much everywhere.
Don't appreciate it.
Definitely looking more into it.
Definitely like the idea of veteran owned.
I mean, just the whole episode today is great.
So shout out to you guys.
Hey, Tom, I know you said you are on probation, but do you want to talk a little bit about how, you know, marijuana, medical marijuana has helped you a little bit in your journey?
Man, I do.
But, you know, that goes shout out.
I mean, that's one thing definitely I wanted to touch on with Dr. Larry Sanders was, you know, the NBA and how his exposure to cannabis and how, you know, it was just a do you go with the medical program and try to say, hey, I'm not not a big deal.
It's just and I didn't even hear all of it.
So as far as I'm concerned, my whole process is definitely helped with the clarity.
It's definitely helped with community.
You know, working a hard day, like after the military, I got an honorable discharge and then I got into the whole cannabis, got my arms tied up outside of Texas.
It's a silly thing.
But, you know, that mental fortitude, having that time to yourself and just being able to reflect on who you are, those quiet moments.
And, you know, I heard that listening to music, certain types of music that that helps resonate with me, being able to get that clarity of thought and write things down, you know, journaling all the all the mental wellness things, you know, even going to the doctors.
Like I got I got two pills that I'm taking from the VA right now, but it was it's actually funny.
I'm not getting it through the VA.
I'm getting it through Medicaid because they responded a little bit faster.
But, you know, it's that it's that middle ground, because I heard something about saying that you a lot of people first abused it and then they find like their their middle ground for it.
And I've had the same experience.
You know, I'm on year five out of six on probation.
And in Arkansas, I'm currently like I'm I mean, I was stationed here the entire time.
So I believe in my right to consume.
So that's where my medical card comes into play.
But I've had to put my I've had to continually put my liberty on the line just because I believed in the the plant and I believed in the medicinal usage of it.
And some people don't have that voice.
And, you know, just got to stay true to what you believe in.
And, you know, it all it all turned out all right.
So thanks for asking, man.
You know, it's it's tough subject to get into.
But, you know, over time, you grow and you heal and you learn and you you're able to digest it and then use it.
So let's go.
Let's fucking grow.
Absolutely, bro.
While having the discussion, I was thinking of you and many of the other vets that come through to Wake and Bake and enjoy the show.
And I know you all want to give your piece because, you know, maybe you don't have a chance to get that off to someone who understands.
And so I'm definitely glad you had the chance to do that.
And in the future, when you can talk about it more, bro, trust me, there will be many more Wake and Bake.
So we're not going anywhere.
You'll be able to pull up and discuss it all.
Appreciate you always, Brody, man.
You know, you always get it here at Wake and Bake, bro.
You know, this is family, man.
You always say it.
Your vibe is your tribe, right?
You attract the people that you're supposed to be around.
You know, we all vibing on the same frequency because we all here in this room enjoying this conversation and partaking, whether we're listening and speaking or just listening, man.
Because it's an energy exchange either way it goes.
So, you know, we're big on that.
So just know that you're family, man.
So it's all love.
Who's next?
I'm fresh out the oven.
What the fuck is?
What the fuck is?
Man, listen, I've been smoking this entire time, just having a good, like, listening to the conversation, just wanting to know, like, you know what I'm saying?
It was good to get the journey.
Shout out to Zara Wellness, too.
I love the fact that cannabis is finally in Texas in one form or fashion or the other.
And, like, you're seeing it pop up everywhere.
You know what I'm saying?
And even the little rinky-dink hole-in-the-wall stores are really, like, little dispensaries are starting to pop through.
And that's really important for any kind of cultural significance to really just, like, be embedded into pretty much the streets.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, any of these little can of shops, bro, I support them all.
Fuck yeah.
But, yo, man, it's been a good show, man.
I'm just litty.
Don't even pay attention to what I say.
My bro, that's the energy we need, bro.
This is Waking Bank.
We don't expect nothing less, bro.
If you ain't here and you ain't litty, then are you really here?
I don't know.
But appreciate you, Mac, man.
You know, I know Rami always prepares, you know, to the most always every Saturday.
So we can't expect nothing less from that, homie, as well, man.
So, but appreciate you guys.
Appreciate you pulling up.
Appreciate you getting high with us.
What you smoking on right now, bro?
We call it weed.
That good old fashioned weed.
That good old gotcha.
How do you roll that up right now?
What you got?
You got on paper?
Actually, man, I went back to like a spoon, like a bowl piece.
You know what I'm saying?
Just like a carb on the side.
You know what I'm saying?
I like to taste the flour.
And like a lot of the times with like, I prefer a blunt, you know, or a joint.
But like, if I really got something good worth smoking and this shit is stanky and good,
like I'll smoke it out of a bowl.
And, you know, and then it honestly, it lasts.
I feel like the high lasts a little longer.
You smoke a little longer because you, you know, you pull from the bowl a couple of times,
put it down.
You know, you get the groove flowing.
You're, you know, you're riding the cloud.
Then all of a sudden the cloud's getting thicker because you picked up the bowl a couple more
So it's been, it's been a nice little, little ride.
Yo, and then, and then sometimes like that shit stay lit and you don't want it to just
And so you have to-
Bro, I'm over here eating, making coffee and dipping cookies in and shit.
Like having hot snacks the whole time and everything.
That's lit, bro.
Bro, that actually don't sound too bad.
I got some cookies and I think I got a pot of coffee, fella.
Yo, I fucking drank a whole pot of it.
Bro, Trader Joe's cranberry with the white, uh, drizzled frosting.
And then, yo, I got this pistachio cranberry bread.
Listen, yo, you toast that and put some avocados on it and salt and you with the sweet and the
like, it's just, it's just a beautiful melody of flavor.
Lou hit that with the stoner spread.
Damn, bro.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
This stoner spread, was it infused?
Yeah, bro.
Bro, what are we doing here, bro?
Listen, yo, I'm supposed to talk to me.
Yeah, I need some spread, bro.
I got you.
I got you.
I'll put you on.
Shout out to Lone Star, bro.
Yeah, nah, the stoner spread is official, bro.
That shit is gas.
It's beautiful.
It's fucking, it's butter.
It's can of butter, bro.
It's provided by Lone Star.
They give it to you in a nice glass jar.
Beautiful packaging.
All their products are all fucking packaged beautiful.
And the quality of it is beautiful as well.
Yo, I got some fudge for you, bro.
I got some fudge that touched down last night.
I got a bottle.
Bro, that fudge and the coffee, though, hits so different, bro.
That shit is perfect.
It's like, it's like made for that, bro.
It was like, yo, this, the coffee and the fudge pair so well, bro.
It's, it's fucking beautiful.
Yo, coffee and cannabis, bro.
I love coffee and cannabis.
I don't drink coffee every day.
They talk about cigarettes and coffee.
Coffee and cannabis, bro.
Coffee and cannabis.
That's where it's at.
Yeah, I got some new flavor, bro.
I definitely want to drop something to you.
So if I don't get with you this weekend, maybe next weekend we can link up.
And, uh, you know, I can drop it in the mail.
Yeah, bro.
You live right up the street.
I need some fudge.
I got you, bro.
I got to send you something, too, bro.
Yo, listen.
Would that make it, though?
Would that make it?
It wouldn't be, like, melted, would it?
What's that?
You got to freeze it.
Nah, I'll wrap it up.
I'll put some dry ice in the package and we get to go.
Yeah, yeah.
Send it with the dry ice.
But, bro, it wasn't.
Listen, being able to pass out the fudger person was lit, bro.
Bro, that fudge had me clapped, son.
I'm glad, bro.
Yo, listen.
Listen, I even gave a brick to fucking profit.
Like, bro, I was out there handing fudge to everybody.
You smoke.
You indulge.
Here, take that.
I deadass wanted everybody on a good note.
You know what I mean?
And, uh, me personally, I definitely enjoy the high of the fudge.
Because it's a mellow high, bro.
It's nothing crazy, you know?
So, to be able to be out there and just to spread that and have people, you know, on the
same wave as me, it was a pleasure within itself, bro.
But, uh, I definitely got something I can send you, Mark.
So, I'ma get with you.
But, Smokey, yeah, bro.
We definitely gotta get up, bro.
Because I got a lot of fudge I gotta get rid of, bro.
The thing is, it comes in bulk, bro.
And there's not enough people in New York that link up with me where I could be like,
yo, here's a whole pound of fudge.
I gotta ship this shit out.
You know what I'm saying?
And I be on the move.
I don't really got time to be shipping shit like that.
So, you know, it's a little inconvenient sometimes.
But I definitely-
Are you not selling the fudge, bro?
Nah, honestly, bro, we're gonna-
So, this year, we're thinking about monetizing, right?
You could be like the fudge king, bro.
You already got the product on hand.
You know what I'm saying?
You've been NYC, bro.
I've seen Times Square on a week-ass fucking afternoon and it's busy.
Nah, yeah, for sure, bro.
Listen, we're trying to actually open up a dispensary out here with my man Scott Marcy.
Actually, I think you was-
You might have pulled up to the Pigeons of New York event.
But, so for those who don't know, the Pigeons of New York had an event in Miami hosted by Scott Marcy.
We called it Marcy Fest.
We in a talk with Marcy right now.
He's trying to move back to New York and open a dispensary.
If he does that, you know, I have a very large availability to get some of my people's products in the building.
Oh, bro, that fudge is going to disappear.
The fudge is going to be in there for sure, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
Not only that, I got a friend of mine who I just found out that does edibles and he's been doing it, you know, this for a long time.
And medicinally wise, though, right?
Like for medicinal purposes, which is something that I love.
And, you know, just to be able to have that creative open space, bro, where I could put something on the shelf from one of my community members and monetize on that.
You know what I'm saying?
And capitalize on some of the shit that we already cooking up is a pleasure within itself.
But, yeah, man, I definitely got some fudge for y'all, bro.
So, you know, I definitely got to get with y'all soon so I could definitely drop this off to y'all.
You can leave it right there.
That's fine.
We're definitely going to make that happen.
We got to get that over to Marcy because I know he's in a fucking fudge drought.
But I want to cipher through him a little bit.
I got the homie showbiz.
Let's get to the homie showbiz first, and then, Joe, we'll get to you right after.
What's good?
So, showbiz GMs, GMs.
Brent Rising, everyone.
What's good, y'all?
Happy Saturday, my friend.
Yeah, man.
Man, I'm the only one that don't smoke.
And I'm listening to all y'all talk about bother and fudge.
And I love some damn fudge, man, McFly.
Hey, yo, I can't lie, don't show.
Listen, if people don't know your vibe, they wouldn't know, bro, because show don't need
to be lit to be lit, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, we was having a dope-ass time.
I ain't been hitting him with the fudge.
He's like, nah, McFly, I'm good.
Yo, hit smoke this.
Nah, I'm good.
Bro, but listen, the way show get busy, bro, it's like, you know, he's on a high within
And I appreciate that, bro.
Honestly, like, you know, that's super dope.
I appreciate it, man.
I appreciate it.
It was great to meet you out there in Miami, bro.
You know, all of y'all, man, had an amazing time.
That's what it's all about, man, connecting with people.
You know, I was listening to the great space, by the way, great interview, our man Marquise,
man, bro, some great questioning, and, you know, I resonate with a lot of that stuff,
You know, we all, a bunch of us in here are veterans, man, you know, and, you know, in
the military, it's a different life, man, you know, you, you kind of, man, it's like what
Dr. Larry was saying, you know, it's like, you want to talk about these things, but sometimes
in the military, you can't really talk about it, man, because they look, look down on you,
man, you know, and it's hard, bro.
It's hard.
You know, sometimes you have to keep those things inside, man, you know, and my cousin,
man, he did a year in Afghanistan and came back, man, you know, having relationship problems,
committed suicide, you know, so I feel, I feel it, bro, you know, I mean, this was years
ago, 2008, you know, he committed suicide, and his name was King, he committed suicide
on Martin Luther King Day, you know, and then my daughter was born the next day, so, you
know, bro, I kicked myself in the ass so many times, like, how could I not have known?
What he was going through, you know, and all this stuff, man, you know, it was a tough,
it was tough, man, to deal with all of that, so mental health and all this stuff, man, it's,
bro, I, after his suicide, I got so involved in teaching courses on sexual assault, suicide
prevention, drug and alcohol in the military, you know, because, you know, a lot of things
lead to using different substances, you know, coping mechanisms, you know, a way to cope
with things, you know, so, yeah, man, this is big for me, bro, you know, so I love when,
I love being in this space, love listening to what you guys talk about, you know, um, you know,
the VA pumps you with a lot of meds, bro, I don't take none of my, I, I, I, strike that from the record,
uh, it's recording space, yeah, I take all my pills, VA, but yeah, man, you know, I, I, my, my way of
coping is being on spaces, being able to talk to people, being IRL, man, just connecting with
people, that's, that's my way of coping with what I'm dealing with, you know, I, I am a person who
likes to be around people, and, you know, in the military, bro, I was always around people, you know,
all the time, and being retired is different, bro, you know, my wife wakes up, and she's like,
and my kids, they'll be like, dad, my, one time my daughter said, go to work, you know, when I was
home, bottom of my heart, she was younger, and I'm like, I'm always gone, you know, she's like, you,
you, when you were at home, you, you're always getting on us about every little thing, you know,
but, you know, I'm, I'm all about the family when I'm home, but when I'm out, I'm, I love enjoying
life, partying, and getting to know people, man, that's how I cope with these things, you know,
you don't see me, I'm taking my daughter for her birthday to Florida in a couple, in like a week,
I'm going to be in Paris, I'm going to be everywhere this year, y'all going to see me,
yeah, but yeah, man, great space, bro, um, I just want to say that, man, love you, showbiz,
love you too, Shanice, you know, I'm, that's my, that's my protector right there, yo, she,
you see her beating up on that thing, the pull-ups, bro, the pull-ups, shit, yo, I was telling my
wife about that, I was showing her the videos last night when, when I was in the space, I was like, yo,
you know, I was showing her the videos on Twitter, oh, man, like, yeah,
today's a rough day, man, it's my mom's birthday, um, you know, rest in peace, you know, and the end
of this month is a year since she passed, so, a little emotional today, you know, yeah.
Listen, anyway you cope, as long as you coping, that's all that matters, bro, when we love you,
you know, you got support no matter what, my brother, you know what I mean, DMs, lines is
always open, you're never alone, that's one thing I cherish about Web3, bro, listen, I come from New
York, I can't trust nobody, you know what I'm saying, it's gritty out here, and what's crazy is I made more
real, genuine friends through Web3 than in my 34 years of living, and I find that crazy, right, but
the fact that I could, I literally, like, you know, rely on somebody, bro, to be there for me when I'm
fucked up mentally, because mental health matters, bro, you know, the fact that I got people that care
for me, you know, and, and extend a year or whatever it is that I need to support me in my
journey, bro, listen, hands down, that's my favorite part of Web3, and you have that with
me, and I'm pretty sure everybody else that's in here, happy birthday to Mom Dukes, bro, yeah, I'm
saying, I know she's, uh, smiling down on you right now, but love, my brother, you're never alone, you
heard? Appreciate it, brother, appreciate it, man, thank you. Big track, bro, man, love, all the love
your way, man, you know, we've, we've rocked a long way, man, uh, you know, you can always come
here, bro, we, we got you, bro, you, we're here to support you, you know what I'm saying,
we're sending all the love to you on this day, man, like, like McFly said, bro, we know your
mom's smiling down on you, you know, so, you know, we, we sending love your way, and you
always got a spot here, and like you said, all our DMs open, man, you know, you might have
to call, call Luke, cause, you know, he don't check his DMs, but, uh, nah, for showbiz,
I'm definitely gonna check the DMs for showbiz, you crazy? I appreciate it, my man, appreciate
it, yeah, man, the family getting ready, we're gonna go out and have some dinner, you know,
and just, my mom's favorite restaurant, so we can go out and enjoy a nice dinner, and be
as a family, you know, yeah, that's beautiful, my friend, yeah, man, eat some extra for me,
man, what's up, Green Mamba, man, this man disappeared on, I was trying to meet this guy
down there right now in Miami, man, I kept listening, yo, that was like a whole TV show,
bro, like, that was the, that, y'all kept switching spots, yo, where's he at, he's upstairs,
all right, I'm going downstairs, y'all switch spots, where'd he go, I don't know, he was
just up here, yo, Green Mamba was so lit, I don't even think Green Mamba knew where Green
Mamba was, bro, I was, I was out of body for a little bit that day, you know what, there's
plenty more events coming up, we'll see each other this year, man, we gotta chop it up for
real, we live in the same state, we enjoy it, bro, well, I'm, I'm, like I say, I'm in Florida,
but, as I say, in Florida, I thought he was in Georgia for some reason, the more north
you go in Florida, the more south you get, so, essentially, I'm, I'm literally, like,
south Georgia, like, I could, I could drive there under in an hour, I'll be in Georgia,
bro, we, we close, we fair, bro, I go to my VA appointments in Lake City, bro, yo, no
shit, yeah, we, uh, we'll, we'll DM, we're gonna, we're gonna, we gotta, we gotta get
that smoke stash we didn't get in Baseline, no, I don't smoke well, oh, shit, well, I'll
smoke and you can hang out and watch, from all y'all, man, you know what I'm saying, I
got enough, that part, well, we'll, we'll link up for sure, yeah, man, McFly, I was out
in, um, New York, I was out there, actually, Max is in the room, I was hanging with Max and
a few others, man, I wish, I wish we had gotten the link up, bro, bro, yes, please,
listen, everybody knows that I'm from New York, and if you come to New York, please
hit me, bro, because I love IRL, listen, I actually had the pleasure to meet Max, I met
Max through a VFriend event, and she's a dope-ass soul, bro, definitely some amazing energy from
Max, shout out to Max, but, um, yo, listen, IRL is where it's at, bro, and if y'all ever
in my city, please hit me up, I would love to take care of you, whether it's taking you
somewhere to have an amazing dinner, right, whether it's somewhere where we can go catch
a vibe, we might even pull up the Stouse P and go to the pharmacy and get you some health
supplements that'll really take, you know, your health to the next level type shit, listen,
I'm all about showing love and positivity, so, you know, any, this goes for anybody, I
don't care if you just found out about McFly, if you in New York, hit me up, bro,
because like I said, listen, man, I love to link up, I love to actually grow and put
work in, and, you know, there's nothing better than doing that in real life, bro, so
anytime you come out here to show, please hit me, and that goes for anybody in the room.
No doubt, bro.
Yo, so, I be in Connecticut all the time, man, because that's where I'm originally from.
Bro, that's like a two-hour drive for me.
Bro, I know, man, so, when I moved to the U.S., Connecticut, then New York, I lived in New
York for a little bit, but, you know, moved up to Connecticut, but, you know, I'm always
out there, bro.
I'll be out there this summer, and we gonna link up, you know, I was there for Thanksgiving,
then went back, then went to Miami, then went back for Christmas and New Year's, so I'm
always out there, man, that's where a majority of families at, so, you know, I got this deal
with the wife, you know, I go on my travels, but when she wanna go home to the family, we
go home summers, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we go see her family, the kids get to hang
out with their aunts and uncles and their cousins, you know, so that's the deal we got,
you know, but yeah, you know.
Nah, I love that, bro.
We definitely gotta link in.
My bad, Green, I seen you unmuting, but I just wanted to say this.
Listen, anybody that comes to New York, it'll be my pleasure to show y'all a good time.
Anybody that knows me knows I'm real big on memories, because at the end of the day, you
know, once these events finish, the only thing that we have to reflect on are memories, right,
and I love to create dope-ass memories, mainly because, like, you know, when we get together
again, that's something that we can, you know, converse about, you know what I'm saying,
and then create new memories, bro, memories last a lifetime, so, you know, definitely would
love to, you know, have you pull up on me next time you come out here.
Listen, Smokey lives literally down the block, bro, and he acts like he's in Miami, you know
what I'm saying, like, it's hard to...
Bro, that's how it is in New York, bro, like, yeah, you know what I'm saying?
Bro, you live too many, bro.
Three miles is, like, two hours, bro.
Three miles is two hours to travel, bro, in New York.
It's crazy.
It makes no damn sense.
Nah, yeah, listen, we gotta link, though.
It's don't go over, dude.
But, yeah, man, listen, shout out.
Next time you come out here, bro, definitely hit me, bro, please.
Oh, most definitely, bro, most definitely, man.
You know, people be like, why are you in a space with a bunch of weak and big people smoking?
Because the mental health, man, y'all talk about that stuff all the time, and that's
what I love, man, you know?
I don't care if y'all smoke or not, whatever, you know, everybody do their own thing, you
But the mental health piece is why I'm always in here, bro, and the relationships, the
friendships, you know, the connections, you know, a lot of veterans up in here, so, you
know, I love this space.
Marquise, you know what I'm saying?
Mad love, brother.
Mad love, bro, man.
I definitely appreciate you, bro.
You know, it's what it's about, man.
We all, you know, we all got different backgrounds, but, you know, we vibe on core, like, tenements,
man, and, like, you know, we all are products to mental health, man, whether you
realize it or not, you are, and you do need help, because there's things that you went
through as a child that you blocked off that you may not have ever addressed, but it could
be a reason why you don't like being, let's say you're not a mourning person.
Something could have happened to you that, in your past, that you, that made you not
like mourning because of something, right?
Now you're not a mourning person because of that, and you don't even realize the
connection that that is.
So you really need to go back and do work so that you can address issues that you're
going through today, right?
It's a journey.
That's why it's called a mental health journey, because you have to start from ground zero
and work your way up, right?
To be able to heal from things so that you can improve on your life.
And, like, you know, we all have gone through it.
So why not be able to build a safe space for people to be able to come and maybe potentially
start their journey or maybe restart the journey or, you know, get a little assistance on their
journey, right?
Or just be a space where there's the talks happening so that, you know, they have, they
feel comfortable, right?
Like, this is, we want to build a comfortable space.
So we're always going to have this, this vibe, man, it's family vibes here, like good family
vibe, you know, we family, we can come talk, you know what I'm saying?
If you don't want to talk to others, man, you come talk to us, right?
This is a space where a lot of people wear the PFTs, right?
So you can take off the daily mask you wear when you interact with people, IRL, you can
come put this PFP on and be yourself, be vulnerable, be, be you, right?
And that's what allows you to build such great relationships here in this space is
Web3 space, right?
That's one of the biggest things I love about it because you get to build these kind of
relationships and then it makes the IRL events that you go to more, that much special, right?
That much more special, right?
So, you know, this is, this is what it's about, man.
This is what we do, man.
It's way to make it.
And so we always appreciate you pulling up my brother.
And this is, it's going to be a spot for you always, man.
And I'm glad everybody that's here is here and vibing with it today, man.
Appreciate y'all pulling up the day.
Listen, y'all, I can't afford a therapist and I'm terrible at mental health.
And basically you guys and marijuana is my, my, my plan and it's, it's working.
All right.
Let's just put it that way.
Hey, we glad we could be a help, you know?
Prophet, you back.
Yo, real quick though, Mr. Vegas, I heard your, your wife wants a beach house in Florida.
I build beach houses in Florida.
Just let me know.
I'm not in her ear or nothing, maybe that hard, but you know, it'd be pretty cool to have a
neighbor down here like y'all.
So, you know, hit me up if, uh, you decide to, to, to look around here.
We're, we're considering it.
Um, it's either the Ozarks or, or Florida, but, um, we don't know a Branson, Missouri,
like that area, but, uh, or, uh, or, uh, Northern, Northern Florida.
Um, so yeah, we don't know like central to Northern, central to Northern, but, uh, yeah,
no, that's where, that's the two areas we've narrowed it down to.
Um, we were pretty set on the, the Missouri thing, but, uh, the weather recently has just
really made us think of Florida a lot more.
I'm sick of this shit, bro.
I'm sick of the cold, man.
Bro, what are you telling me?
I'm, it's, it's, it's what, 65 right now?
And I'm still bundled up like a little weenie.
Bro, we're under zero.
We had a blizzard last night.
We've got, um, I don't know how many feet of snow out here right now.
There's at least a couple of feet of snow.
I saw a picture this morning.
That shit's rough, bro.
Listen, my dad, my dad told me is the snow is fun to visit.
It is very shitty to live in.
So I'm, I'm sticking to it.
Um, if y'all want to hang out, let's do it on the south side of the country.
Let's, you know, or during the summer, you know, it's pretty cool up there, I guess.
But, sheesh.
Bro, my, my wife wants me to move back up to Connecticut, right?
I don't want to sell my house here.
I'm in South Georgia.
It's nice weather out here.
I mean, other than some hurricanes and a lot of rain the last couple of days, man.
A tornado once in a while.
Bro, I'm, I'm like central to so many things, you know.
Like, you know, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, you know, I'm, man, Louisiana, you know.
Like, I can get to a lot of different places that got, and the beaches, man.
I love the water.
I love the ocean.
I can be at a beach in two hours, you know.
That's one of my biggest reasons for Florida is the, is the water, brother.
The water is, like, one of the best mental health things in the world.
Dude, I, I live, I live 45 minutes north of the Gulf of Mexico, and the whole coast up
here is still underdeveloped, like, hardcore.
Like, as soon as they run out of room in South Florida, they're gonna be building all the way
up the coastline from Tampa to Pensacola is probably gonna be a pretty big, like, boom
in the next 10, 15 years.
And I'll be here.
I'm ready.
Man, we gotta link up, man.
Let me make some money in Web3.
I'm gonna buy land.
Yo, that shit's cheap around here right now.
That shit's cheap, dude.
Let's talk, bro.
Hey, look, you know you can use multiple VA loans.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
If you don't, holla at me.
Yo, bro, I'm a 100% disabled veteran, bro.
I'm gonna chop it up with you, bro.
Yeah, yeah, let's talk, man.
You know I don't pay property taxes, bro.
I don't pay property taxes.
Yo, I know you don't.
I know you don't.
I know you don't.
Hey, how far are you from Thomasville, Showbiz?
Less than an hour?
Less than an hour?
All right.
We're gonna DM.
I'm about an hour.
I'm about an hour from Thomasville, Showbiz.
Bro, I'm saying next time I gotta go to Lake City for my VA appointment, man.
You know, we could link up.
Go grab some lunch.
Some, you know, whatever.
Or whatever.
You know, I'm actually going down to Orlando on the 20th, driving back up, and then going
back down.
I gotta go exchange these Bordet vape sneakers with one of my boys.
You know, I got the size that he wants.
He got the size I want.
Mutant cartel meet up.
Dave and Buster's out there.
You know, we gonna be out there hanging out.
Let's do it.
We should get Evan Hilton to come join us.
He's in Jacksonville.
Shit, bro.
They got a Mutant cartel thing if you want to go out to Orlando on the 20th.
Gee, maybe.
We'll see.
I'm still recovering from Basel, to be honest.
Bro, I just came back Sunday, last Sunday from driving back from Connecticut.
Well, I left Connecticut on that Saturday, and I got home Sunday night.
Two days of driving, you know.
But, yeah, I be on the road all the time, man.
So, just a little background for how I socialize.
I'm kind of one of those, like, go hard in the paint and then disappear as a hermit.
So, like, you know, the Wake and Bake boys know this.
So, they'll send me around for, like, hardcore for a few weeks.
And then they're like, where's Mamba?
And then I'll be like, hey, I'm still here.
Yeah, we gotta, like, we gotta check on him.
We gotta reach out.
Like, yo, where you at?
You alive?
You feeling good?
Like, yeah, yeah, I'm around.
All right, man.
Just check it in.
Just check it in.
So, basically, I save up all of my special energy power to socialize with everybody for these
in-real-life events.
And then, like, I gotta go back on the Charger for a couple months.
So, we'll see how it goes in the near future.
I do know I'm making Basel an every-year thing from now on 100% forever.
But the rest of the ones, I'm still, I'm dipping my toes in.
We'll get there one day.
And Wake and Bake will be at Basel moving forward.
Just throw that out there.
That's, like, that's, like, our home, man, because that's where we met for the first
time in person, the group of us.
So, like, you know, Basel has a special spot in our heart.
And every time we come back from Basel, we just get, we just, we just come back bigger
and better every year.
So, like, that's like our home front.
So, aren't you sold a game this year?
Aren't you sold a game?
We'll see what happens.
But there will be something.
But it won't just be us.
Y'all just throw that out there.
Yo, combine efforts.
Combine efforts, bro.
Bro, that's the one thing I saw out there.
There was too many events to go to.
And I got NFTs in so many damn communities that got me into so many different events.
And it's like, I felt like I was stretched thin.
Like, I needed, like, 20 of me.
Yeah, man.
That's why, dude, that's why Orange Soda was so dope.
Because there was, like, eight communities there.
And I was like, yo, I know all you guys.
Definitely, man.
Combined efforts.
You know, one big event for, like, whatever, three days.
Everybody.
That way you don't have to.
Or even if you switch the events, like, the communities come together and do one location
A different location one day.
To spice it up a little bit.
But, like, do combined events.
That would be dope, man.
Yo, can I speak on this?
Me personally?
So, NYC NFT was, like, one of my first, um, NFT events, right?
And then I went to a few after.
And then I went to VCon.
One thing that separated VCon from a lot of NFT events that I went to was that they had
an arena with multiple projects under the same venue.
So, it was easy to tap into every project that was there.
You had Pudgy Penguins.
You had Alien Friends.
You had the World of Women.
V Friends, of course.
A bunch of, you know, other dope-ass projects that were there.
But it was a dope-ass event because everybody was there, right?
So, it's not like you had to, you know, pick and choose what event you were going to
go to or where you were trying to go because, you know, different locations for different
You know, I was actually talking to one of my, uh, founder friends about this for NYC NFT
because, um, you know, I'm a part of a few different projects out here in New York, bro.
And I definitely want to have, like, a venue for all of my projects, right?
Like, instead of having different venues with different time zones and, you know, there's
times where you have two or three events going on at the same time and you're a part of all
three communities.
You know, it's hard to make it to every event, especially when, you know, you, you settle
in somewhere and you're having a good time and, you know, there's another event you have
to attend to, but it's a little out of the way.
So, we're trying to make it to where this year, you know, there's a few communities that
come together and have, like, one venue for every community that we are part of.
You know what I'm saying?
And not only that, um, me and Smokey are trying to put something together this year
for y'all in NYC NFT outside of the events.
You know what I'm saying?
Just to give people, like, I'm not going to speak on it too much, but I want to get
to know people on a personal level, bro.
Like, don't get me wrong.
Going out and partying is cool, right?
But, like, I want to network.
And a lot of times, like, you know, it's hard to network when you're in a club, you got
music going on, you know what I'm saying?
And there's a lot of people, you know, migrating with one another.
But just to have, like, that getaway spot where, like, you know, after the parties and
after the madness, right, we can come together and actually, you know, have more intimate
conversations with one another.
Because I love to build, bro.
And like I said, you know, don't get me wrong.
I love to party, but, you know, I definitely like to take advantage of that IRL meetup,
you know, so I can actually discuss some business opportunities face-to-face and be able to build
for real, for real.
You know what I'm saying?
So that definitely, in my opinion, is something that I would love to see a lot of projects
do, right?
Like, come together.
See if you can get a venue big enough to fit, you know, multiple projects in.
So that way, you know, one, not only are you, you know, mixing communities together, which
I think is super dope, but, you know, think about the expenses that you'll save, you know,
being able to go in on one venue versus, like, having different communities that are going
to the same events, right?
Different venues.
So, like, you know, just trying to have one spot where everybody can come together.
And it's easy for people to, you know, come through because there's multiple projects
You, I vote all of those decisions.
Also, I had one, two more thing, ideas to bring up real quick before we get to the legends
that just hopped up on the stage down there.
One is, I was a total fan of the dive bar, the dive lounge for, at the hotel.
They, from what I've heard of all interactions working with them, they were pretty rare.
They're on how cooperative they were.
I helped throw an event the year before, and we didn't get treatment like that.
I know other places that got charged out the ass and, you know, for everything.
So, shout out to them.
I think possibly, if we do anything, any of the communities should probably think about
them as being the spot.
Two is, what's it called, the fun zone or wherever, where Prophets did the beat, beat
That is also one of my second favorite places.
It's very open.
You can have a lot of different communities go in there together and still have enough
room for everybody.
It's so open that you don't get crammed like McFly was saying about being in the clubs and
Like, there's enough room where you can talk and walk around to different groups.
While I was at beat Basil, I walked around and I hit up like 10 different, like, small
cliques of friends that I knew were there.
And it was really cool because I could have that intimate conversation with them without
being overwhelmed by everything.
And two is, with the Wake and Bake and maybe some of the other homies, we need to maybe,
like, talk to Armin and see where the Rebud house might be.
And if we can get enough of us together to make, like, a second dope house, like, within
walking distance, like, let's make that happen.
Let's bug him.
Let's get a house next to his because Rebud's awesome.
That was so cool.
Let's do that.
Okay, now.
I'm going to step down.
I just wanted to say, shout out to Jay because I actually pulled up to the Rebud
house with Jay.
And honestly, bro, when we walked in there, it felt like I knew everybody that was there.
And mind you, I didn't know anybody.
The vibes were just fucking immaculate.
You know what I'm saying?
I felt like I've known everybody that was there from the moment that I walked in.
They were mad humbling.
They showed mad love.
Me and Wifey walked out with mad fucking weed.
So shout out to the Rebud group.
Also, shout out to Smokey because Smokey put me on to beat Basil, bro.
And Beat Basil was honestly one of my favorite events while I was out there.
Shout out to Prophets because she killed that fucking event.
But, you know, if it wasn't for y'all, bro, like I feel like, you know, I wouldn't have
the time that I had in Miami.
And that, for real, I'm grateful for, bro.
Because if it wasn't for y'all, I wouldn't be able to meet, you know, as many dope people
But on that note, listen, I love y'all.
I hope y'all all have an amazing weekend.
Stay blessed.
You were loved.
You know what I'm saying?
Man, thank you guys for letting me hit the stage.
I appreciate every one of y'all up here.
And, yeah, man, I definitely can't wait for next week's episode.
But until then, listen, nothing but love for everybody in the building, man.
Y'all stay blessed.
Love you, brother.
See you around, my G.
And you already know, man, the IRL events, we're going to keep on fucking making those
vibes higher every year, bro.
Better every year.
We're going to keep making those higher.
You already know.
We're going to fucking keep the vibes high as hell.
You know, he was there with his wife.
I was there.
That's how we met, you know?
Met a lot of people.
Man, one and only Poppy saw me and a bunch of people in the crowd.
He's like, yo, show this, Eddie.
I was like, nah, that can't be Poppy's voice.
You know, he was only there for one day.
And I think D-Battle was the only event he went to.
So, it was great to, like, connect with him and meet him, IRL.
D-Battle meets so many people out there, man.
It was amazing.
Hell, yeah.
Speaking of other people throwing dope events.
What's going on?
Yo, Jen, what's good?
What's up?
What's up?
I saw you guys hosting the space.
I got done with yoga and had some breakfast tacos here in the ATX.
We're rolling deep.
And then I saw you guys.
I told y'all it's a Texas thing.
No one gets that.
I'm like, come on, you guys.
You guys going to do breakfast tacos?
Yo, what kind of breakfast tacos you had today?
What was it?
Well, we went to Cosmic Coffee.
So, if you guys have ever been to Austin, Texas, Cosmic Coffee just opened their second
location off of, like, E6.
It's so dope.
So, I tried their new Chili Kele's breakfast taco, and then I had, just like your basic
bitch, avocado, eggs, you know, the whole thing.
That's fire.
I had some breakfast tacos myself.
I was telling Marcus, I was like, yo, I'm on my Texas wave today, man.
He ended up some tortillas with some, it was like turkey, egg, and cheese.
It was, it was beautiful.
Oh, my God.
With the hot sauce.
The hot sauce.
Yes, it has to have the hot sauce.
No, it was good.
But, I really love this conversation you guys are talking about with the events.
Like, obviously, you know, that's my jam.
So, everything everyone's talking about is hit the nail on the head.
I know McFly, I haven't met him before, but all the things he mentioned about kind of
conjoined forces.
I'm a huge supporter of that.
I was also at VCon.
I love that that is a thing that they like to do.
For me, planning events, I think that that's super conducive to kind of bridge communities
And the most important thing when I tell people to book venues is to have explorability.
And what I mean by that term, you can steal that if you want, is like what he said when
he walked into a couple different parties that, like, you're not cramped together like a club.
I hate booking events at clubs for people.
Like, I just really kind of don't encourage that unless it's that super late night vibe.
And there is a place for that.
But I really love the fact, like, when you have explorability to an event, you can walk
in and it's like every corner you turn, there's a new set of people.
There's a new set of activations.
There's a new set of things to learn and discover.
And as the event hosts, that not only keeps every participant on your property and at
the event as long as possible, it just kind of gives a different personality to each person
because some people, they don't want to dance.
They want to sit down.
Some people are wanting to play games.
Some people want to talk.
Some people want to, you know, do beer bongs.
Some people want to do whatever they're going to do.
And you can really find that with a decent venue and explore different opportunities and,
you know, visual aspects.
So I think that's the number one thing when I work with people booking events is that
I really encourage a venue.
It doesn't have to be huge or anything like that.
It just has to be properly set up to where you can kind of explore, meander around.
So I love that all those were great points.
I'm obsessed with that.
Well, again, event throwing game.
I hope y'all was taking notes just now.
I thought about doing a massive thread, but I'm like, do I give this info for free?
Because, like, there's so many things.
You got to hold some of it back.
I know, because I'm getting a ton of DMs and I'm just like, okay, maybe I should just give
a little bit of teasers about, like, how to throw good events and kind of the rules about
sponsors, like having sponsors.
And I don't know.
I always go back and forth about spilling the beans on everything I know and just like,
okay, let's give me a little bit.
Just the tip.
Just a little bit.
Just a tip.
Just a tip.
Just to keep them coming.
I'm just bummed I couldn't go to any other events.
Like, I literally was at Art Basel for, what, eight or nine days doing the Rug Radio event.
And I was stuck on the property all week.
I saw most of you guys come through and it was so much fun.
And the only event I got to go to was on Saturday night, the OD Labs, because we, they, well,
I shouldn't say we, because they do a lot with OD, the Rug Radio team.
I'm not an official partner.
I'm, like, an independent contractor.
So any of you can hire me if you want.
I'm a free agent always.
I'd like to meander between all the communities.
I can't pick just one, you guys.
That's not fair.
I just, I could never do that.
So I'll never officially sign with anybody because I want to work with everybody because
it's a vibe.
But we, we closed it early that night and we closed all the events at, like, 9.30, 10
Because OD Labs was at 10.30.
So we jumped over to Wynwood from Miami Beach and did that.
And that was the only event I went to.
And I was only there for an hour because I was so tired and had to be up the next day
to get brunch going on Sunday and doing our pool party.
So I was like, man, I couldn't go to anything.
I heard so many great things about everything.
Saw the pictures.
I fucking FOMO.
I was so mad.
But, hey, that's, you know, what you got to do sometimes.
So the pictures were great.
Shout out, OD Lab Hounders.
Shout out to the OD Labs.
Crazy shit.
But I love that you guys are working with them.
Like, it's such a positive thing in the space.
And I love that more communities are kind of bridging that gap between everybody.
It makes me super happy to see that.
Like, nobody's better than anyone else.
Like, no one is, you know, above or below anyone.
And I don't know.
I love it.
I think it's fucking cool.
So keep doing that.
You guys get your flowers per use.
I'm going to stop talking to them.
Never, never stop calling them in this space as much as it is ours.
And I appreciate that you noticed that.
And that's what we take our, you know, we take pride in that.
That's one of our biggest things is just bringing communities together and bringing the people that we love together.
Because we all know, like, you know, once we get in these communities, we see what they're building.
And we just want to just spread that awareness.
You know, we don't want to gatekeep.
No, and I love that you guys are setting the industry standard because it's a new year.
It's 2024.
And I think more people need to follow suit with what you're doing.
And I think if you just keep sending an example, people will be like, oh, this is the new narrative.
Like, this is how it's supposed to be.
This is how it should have been the whole time.
So I think that's fucking dope.
Take notes, everyone.
Hey, that means a lot.
That really means a lot.
Because, you know, we big on wanting to change the narrative and, you know, be the foundation and the spearhead if we need to, right, of helping change that, change those narratives of what this space is and what it can be and what it has the potential to further and better.
You know what I'm saying?
And, you know, we big on collaborating.
And shout-out to the homies over at Exposed Media talking about collaboration.
You know what I'm saying?
We are part of Exposed Media now.
For those who aren't aware, fully aware.
I mean, if you haven't noticed.
Go take a time to get for it.
You know what I'm saying, man?
You know what I'm saying, man?
You know what I'm saying, man?
You know what I'm saying, man?
Well, yeah, shout-out to Prophets and the rest of the team, man.
And it's just, this is what we built, right?
Like, this is the mindset we had when we came in and when we started doing this show almost two years ago, right?
Lou and Rami started.
I came in, like, episode two, you know, and this relationship was built.
And we wanted to build a space where everyone came in and where we promoted, you know, collaboration amongst people, right?
Like, that's what it's about.
My AirPod died.
And it wasn't Wake and Bake until you got on the team, bro.
That's major facts, bro.
He said it wasn't Wake and Bake until you got on the team, bro.
Oh, man, it's love.
But they're all grown up, my boys.
We're still growing, man.
We're still growing.
We just started walking.
We just got up.
We started taking our first steps, you know.
We're only a year and a little over.
Well, we're about to grow.
We're like two months shy.
Two months away?
Yeah, we're two months away from two years of doing the show.
So, yeah, man, we're still toddlers in this space.
I got to thank somebody up here, man.
I wouldn't be waking and baking this morning without Armand.
So, shout out to Armand up on stage with Crackin' Brother.
Armand smoking my ReBud today.
So, it's a beautiful thing.
ReBud got my Wake and Bake going.
So, what's Crackin', brother?
Hell, yeah.
He had my Wake and Bake going yesterday.
That peanut butter OG slaps.
I still got some Glitter Bomb from them right now.
So, that's my Wake and Bake.
Shout out, Armand.
Shout out to the ReBud.
Yeah, thank you for all the shouts, guys.
We're literally becoming a victory button there, which was kind of our goal.
I'm glad that, you know, every corner of America, we can provide you your weave, guys.
Thank you, man.
Thank you for all the support and everything, guys.
You guys are amazing.
You're amazing, bro.
And you're fucking, you know, the fucking community you built is amazing.
I love everybody there.
The ReBud house was awesome.
That it was exactly my vibe.
If I didn't have anywhere else to be, I would have stood there the whole damn time.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, that was perfect.
That's my vibe right there, you know.
So, with family, breakfast, lunch, dinner, chill, you know, fucking coffee.
Connect and build.
Play basketball if you wanted to.
Swim if you'd like to.
Get your ass whooped in chess.
Not just regular chess, though, bros.
It's life-size chess.
Huge life-size pieces.
It takes a minute to get used to.
If you're, like, a chess player, like, viewing the board from that angle, it's a little weird.
You feel powerful, though.
It's like you're in the war room, like, planning a war, and you're just like, yes, move the cavalry this way.
It was fun.
But, Leo, I got my first smoke handed to you by the man himself.
We're going to try that in L.A., Marquise.
Marquise, you're going to make it, right, guys?
Are you coming down to L.A.?
We're talking about it.
We're going to talk about L.A.
But, yeah, no, if that happens, you know, I'm going to get on my – I'm going to get back on my game because I haven't played in a little bit.
But I'm going to brush back up because I heard you – you're a man on the – you got some skills on the board, so.
Well, don't talk about it, guys.
Just plan it.
All right?
Because L.A., you got to be here.
It's our hometown, man.
We want to show our hospitality in our hometown for sure.
Shit, we're trying to make it, man.
When is that happening?
I know it's in March.
It's like the ending of March, right?
Yeah, it's end of the March.
I don't remember exactly the dates, but, you know, we're already having a lot of cross conversations with a lot of projects because it seems like everybody's confused.
If it's happening, it's not happening.
I mean, and my last conversation with one of the founders in the space was like, I mean, fuck the convention, man.
Who cares about the convention?
All these people care about just hanging out to their community and just partying, and it's all us.
Let's just do our thing, and, you know, we'll create the NFT LA.
Who cares if there's going to be a convention or not, you know?
That's fine, man.
Yeah, I agree on that 100%.
So regardless, whatever is going to be convention or not, the rebuild house is going to be there.
We're going to throw another party outside of the rebuild house, and then we're going to help as many projects as possible outside of the California to accommodate, help them to get their parties going.
And so we're out there pollinating, so if you guys have questions.
The party don't stop until we walk in anyways, Armand.
You know that, bro.
I know, broski.
And confirmed.
I haven't been to LA in a minute.
I used to be stationed out there in California for four years, so I think it's time to take a trip.
Well, it's time to come down, get some sun, you know.
Hopefully, it won't be like last year.
Last year was cold during the NFT LA, but hopefully, you know, we get blessed this year.
I, myself, have never been to LA.
I would love to go.
Me either.
I've never been either.
Yeah, man.
Y'all definitely got to go.
Look, I've been outside the country, but I ain't been to LA.
Bro, people from New York, we don't travel, bro.
We stay in New York, or, you know, we'll probably, we call traveling going down to, like, the Jersey Shore, you know, or going up to Connecticut, you know, and go to Foxwood Casino.
We traveling.
Oh, Foxwoods.
Yo, next time I'm out there, we got to meet up there, man.
100%, bro.
Like McFly said, bro, I don't live too far away from him.
I'm, I'm like, I'm in Yonkers, you know.
I know where Yonkers is, man.
Yeah, bro.
So, you know, it's, it's, it's nice here.
Bro, I was here for you, man, before I joined the military.
Yeah, man.
I, I, one of my good friends lived out there in Yonkers.
Oh, that's, that's fire, bro.
We're, we're in Yonkers if you don't, if.
Bro, I can't even remember where exactly.
It's been so long that I, bro, after joining, you know, college and joining the military, man, you know, I stayed in touch with some of my friends.
But, man, I lost touch with so many people, you know, traveling, changing phones, you know, it kind of sucked, you know, being gone from home for over 20 years, you know.
And when I come back, it's, like, I'm quick in and out, you know, like, quick, quick, come see family and gone, you know.
That was the life.
Yeah, no, definitely, especially, like, being in the military.
I know how that is.
I have a lot of friends that's in the military who come home.
And, like, I definitely, like, when they come home and they want to see me, I make that effort because you guys, your time is so limited here, you know.
So, it's special when your friend wants to take some of that time that he could be with anyone else and just want to see you, you know.
I cherish that, bro.
And, man, a lot of people don't get that.
Right, bro?
And I don't understand.
I don't understand.
How can't you not get that?
Like, bro's coming from.
I just came home.
I just traveled home.
The least you can do is drive the 10, 15 minutes to come see me.
I just drive a high hour long and then you still want me to come over to your house.
No, I'm not doing that.
You know where I am.
If you want to see me that bad, come see me.
Like, damn.
And just make that time.
Make that effort, bro.
And then you don't know how much.
Like, we only earn 2.5 days of leave a month.
30 days a year.
And they charge us on the weekend, bro.
And they charge us on the weekend.
Like, every day that we're gone, we're charged.
So, we got to try to finesse our days to get the maximum use out of our days, right?
So, like, if I'm only coming home for four days, like, think of how long it took me to save that up, right?
Like, I had to save two months worth of leave to come home for four days.
And then you want me to spend the excess time that I got to drive to come see you when you can spend that time to come see me?
Exactly, bro.
But we're selfish.
Yo, Marquis.
Not at all.
Y'all not selfish.
Y'all actually, you know, you're extending that love, giving us that time when you guys come over here, you know?
So, like, I really, like, it was funny because I was just having this conversation with my brother from, you know, he's stationed in Japan right now.
He's been in the Navy for 14 years.
And we were just talking about that same exact thing.
And he was just like, yo, Lou, like, thank you for always making time when I come out there or making your space available for me to stay at if, you know, if I ever needed a place to crash.
Like, you don't know how much that means.
And to me, like, you know, I'm just being me.
So I didn't know, like, that really meant a lot to you guys.
It's just me naturally.
But then, like, now as I think of it and when we had that conversation, I understood.
I'm like, man, you know, you're right.
Like, you guys are coming out of your way to come out here and visit people.
And if, you know, people don't show that fucking, that love back to you, like, that's whack.
And, you know, fuck those people, you know, fuck them.
They don't fucking deserve your love.
They don't deserve your time if they're making it out to be like that.
Like, you need to fucking, if you have your guys down there, if you have friends that's in the military, anybody that's listening.
If you have friends that's in the military and they come out of leave and they come into your city and just make that time.
Go out your way to go see them, you know.
Give them that five minutes of, you know, like, you know, of respect.
Go see them.
Go show love.
You know, and if they're trying to show love to you and come to you, that's crazy.
So you should definitely drop everything you're doing and let them pull up on you if that's what they want to do, you know?
Oh, my bad.
No, no, you good.
There's one homeboy that I have since the seventh grade, since I moved to the U.S., right?
And, bro, I've known this dude since seventh grade.
And the dude, every time I tell him, yo, I'm in Connecticut at my mother-in-law's house, my boy comes, pick me up.
We go have dinner, lunch, dinner, whatever.
And it was, like, we, sometimes we don't even talk for, like, six, seven months, but I'm going to be like, yo, I'm in town.
He's like, yo, same, same nonetheless, you know?
Pull up and we just catch up on you.
We just did it.
We just did it for Christmas, over the Christmas, New Year's holiday.
You know what I'm saying?
Actually, after the New Year's.
You know, I was at his house for a barbecue in the summer, you know?
So, we saw each other once last year and once already this year, you know?
So, yeah, man.
And that's true friendship, man.
When we there, we just catch up.
He knows how it is.
So, he comes, scoop me up, and we go.
That's love, man.
That's love.
But, yeah, man, I just want to do a quick, quick reset.
Go ahead and hit that bomb.
This is Wake and Bake Radio.
We do this every Saturday, 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
You have an open platform, so feel free to request up.
Come kick it with this vibe, rip the bomb if you want.
But if you're not comfortable, you got two other options.
That little purple peel down in the corner, go ahead and drop your comments.
You know what I'm saying?
If you got questions, you drop those in there.
Show us what you smoking, how you vibing today.
But if you don't want to do that, you can hit any one of the hosts, except for Luke, because, you know, check in DMs.
You know what I'm saying?
There she is!
I'm sorry.
I was, oh, my God.
I'm sorry.
Anyway, it's been amazing.
It's been an amazing day.
We're about to pack this bowl up.
Let's get it.
Oh, this shit packed up when you go to the bowl, and it's already fucking packed, because you forgot to slap it.
Did prophets just wake up?
We all ripping at the same time, or what?
That's why I'm getting in here.
We ripping it.
We ripping it, Alpha.
We ripping it.
I'm ready, guys.
I saw the stage name, and I was like, oh, fuck, I got to get in there.
I just loaded one.
I was in the background doing some work for Wake and Bake Radio, showbiz.
We don't sleep around here.
I know, I know.
But, yo, mad love to y'all.
I got a bounce.
Whitey just came in the room.
She's like, you not ready yet?
So, I'm about to go.
Have a great day, showbiz.
Enjoy your day.
Love you, brother.
I appreciate it.
Love you, too, prophets.
Shanice, you know, about to talk to dinner with the fam, you know?
Let's go, showbiz.
We're going to meet up soon.
Oh, most definitely, bro.
Definitely.
Happy birthday to Mama Tuna.
I had to put up a coughing emoji for us.
Appreciate it.
Appreciate it.
Much love, showbiz.
We're definitely going late, man.
Let me know when you come into Connecticut so I go pull up on you, gang.
Oh, no doubt, bro.
This summer, I'm going to be there.
Beginning of June, I'll be there.
You're going to be here, like, for how long, though?
Like, you're, like, chill for a while?
Bro, I'll be out there the whole summer.
Bro, that's the deal I have.
That's the deal I have with my wife.
We're going to link, then.
We're definitely going to link.
We're going to fucking, we're going to set something up, bro.
At least a month and a half I'm going to be out there.
That's the deal I got with my wife.
I get to go, my NFT, DJing thing, hang out with my NFT folks, my community.
What part of Connecticut was that?
Oh, Bridgeport, bro.
Oh, dude, Bridgeport?
Yeah, bro, that's only, like, 40 minutes from me.
Yeah, man.
But, yeah, you know.
Got rugged, got rugged, somebody gave me a couple.
You know, you got.
Oh, my bad.
No, it's all good.
You got to compromise, you know what I'm saying?
You know, I take care of the family, do the family thing, but then I get to go do my NFT thing.
Convention.
Nah, we're going to set something up where it's all family and family is all welcome and whole inclusive shit, bro.
Like, you know, I'm with it, man.
Let's go to, like, a water park or something very vibey out there in Connecticut.
You know, I know they got a lot of dope stuff around there.
If not, we could go, you know, we could go to Long Island.
We're going to make something happen, bro.
We're going to make something happen.
So, the kids, the kids always want to go to New York and do something, man.
So, it might be, like, meet up in New York and, you know, do something.
Bro, I remember the days in Coney Island, man.
How was Coney Island these days, bro?
I've been there forever.
Coney Island.
I mean, I know you see it.
Just go look at the FYL, dude, man.
The fuck your life, dude.
What's his name?
Don't ever disrespect me, bro.
That's right there, bro.
That's Coney Island.
He's right literally by the boardwalk, bro.
You go see all the feeds pulling up.
You know, it's still, they gentrifying it, though.
Like, they're starting to build some dope condos in the area.
But, yeah, man.
That, man, back in the days, Coney Island, shit.
Yeah, nah, it's still wild.
It's still wild out there.
But, real quick, though, we had some new speakers hop up, so I definitely want to get to them.
We had the homie Walt Diz pull up.
We had the homie Alfa pull up.
I don't know if we ever got a proper GM from Mr. JVegas and Profit, or a proper GM from Armani,
so, you know what I'm saying?
We got some room to make, so, you know what I'm saying?
We're going to go ahead and pass the old mic around.
You know what I'm saying?
Who was up?
Walt Diz, I think, came up first.
Yo, Walt Diz.
Hey, what's going on, brother?
What's good, Walt Diz?
What's good?
It's so good to see you guys.
Fellas, it feels like that was, like, months ago.
But, yeah, no, that was amazing, dude.
I had so much fun.
It's like being with family or something.
I always compare it to going scuba diving, man.
You don't want that shit to end.
That was incredible.
I know it was only a week, but I could have stayed there for, like, six months.
My big account probably was not like it.
I mean, you want to move there, bro.
Just move.
Just all move.
Yeah, sure as hell don't like this winter weather.
All of us together, and we fucking, you know, some huge shit where, like, you ain't never
going to see me.
That's how big it is.
Everywhere I went, I hung out with Jay.
Literally everywhere.
Yo, Jay was the dude to be around, bro.
Like, this dude had the biggest pack of loud on him at all times.
The most gaseous of gas.
You could, yo, dude pull up, you could smell the gas.
Like, you automatically, like, oh, shit, Jay's in the building.
You're saying I stink, bro?
You stink.
Um, let me not say that.
I'm playing.
I'm playing.
It's my, that's my cologne.
I call it contact, you know.
Yo, put me on, man.
I should have Macy's.
That's that Rebud aroma.
That's what that is.
It's the Terpene Kings.
I like that.
60% of the time, it works every time.
No, who's up next.
Man, I'm glad, I'm glad I got to meet you, bro, man.
First night, I ran into you at the OD Labs gallery.
It was dope meet.
You walked in and then ran into you every other time after that, man.
It was a pleasure.
Absolutely.
I, and that was the thing.
It was like, I, I really didn't know what OD Labs was.
Like, oh, people are like, oh, how do you not know what that is?
I'm like, I honestly don't know what it is.
But it was so cool the way they had everything set up with the, uh, with the AR and VR, all
that stuff.
Um, I, I, I kind of fell in love with it.
I love technology.
I'm, I'm definitely like nerdy dude.
Don't really care though.
That's, you know, that's my vibe.
And a lot of, a lot of us in Web3 are pretty into some nerdy shit, but it was a good time.
Uh, cool people there.
Every, everywhere we went, it was good to see it wasn't like overly clicky or anything like
And there's a lot of different communities.
Um, I mean, I, I just, I don't know, man.
I fell in love with, uh, Orange Soda, man.
You guys had such a cool event, dude.
Um, I, I, I already told Profits.
I had a blast at her event to, uh, be Basil.
There was just so many cool events I went to.
I counted out.
I went, I went to 19 events.
I did not sleep that much, but I also did actually get sleep.
19 events, bro.
I'm not proud of that.
I literally am so, I was so tired.
You should definitely be proud of that, bro.
That's fucking love right there, bro.
That's love and dedication.
Like, I wish I had that, bro.
I wish I could do that because I do want to be able to experience all of it because
everyone works so hard on putting together events for everyone, bro.
So, bro, we died after our event, though.
Oh, we fucking, we collapsed.
We like fell.
Absolutely.
We left our event.
I think we went to the Pigeons event.
We got food.
We was like, hey, we gonna take a hot little.
R.I.P. after.
We was gonna take a hot little, quick little nap, a little refresher nap.
Yeah, we woke up.
It was like 3 a.m.
Like, yeah, damn, what year is it?
Missed everything.
You're looking like the dude from Jumanji.
You're like, what year is it?
No more banana leaves.
It was, it was good, man.
I had a good time.
And that was the thing.
It's just like, when you, when you reflect back on it, you're like, oh, my God, I totally forgot about that event and that event.
And the one thing I can say, if anybody listening has not gone to an IRL event or anything like that, when you go, like, meet the host.
Thank the host.
Give the host a shout out on freaking social media because a lot of these hosts that sponsored their own freaking events put up their own damn money.
And it is a lot of money.
And trust me when I say, because I helped Cristiano with, with the heart bezel with all the musicians and stuff.
I didn't host it.
He hosted it.
But I helped him with setting up everything and calling people and content.
It is so freaking stressful.
So, and people cancel on you.
Venues cancel on you.
Venues try to take advantage of you.
Vendors try to take advantage of you.
Catering companies try to take advantage of you.
Like, it is absolutely insane.
And it doesn't matter how early you plan for it, something is going to fall through before that event.
And the events that I went to were so well planned and so well executed, you'd never know that there was any problem because they're so good at what they do.
And maybe that was their first event.
But you know what?
I don't know about you guys, but I had a damn good time at every single one of them.
It wasn't any single event that I went to.
I was like, well, this is a rocking shit show.
Like, I've never seen anything like this.
No, all of them.
I was like, this was awesome in its own way.
Who's that?
It was just so much fun hanging out with friends, you know?
It's like...
But, uh...
Yeah, no, we had a good time.
It was a good time.
Can't wait to go back.
Hell yeah.
We're having you back.
Uber Eats has arrived.
The mood has went up exponentially.
Tell us what you munching on, Prophets.
What happened?
What are you eating?
What you ordering?
Colombian.
Oh, that's fire, bro.
I had some Colombian food earlier this week myself.
I had the bandeja.
You are a bandeja.
I'm a flag, bro.
Good looking.
Yo, good looking, bro.
Yo, out of all of you three, who smokes the most weed?
Yo, that's...
We're going to have to, like, sit down and really see.
Because I'm going to say it's me.
I'm going to say I smoke a lot of weed.
My name is Smokey Mad Pot for a reason, Prophets.
Like, I smoke...
I got to smoke Mad Pot, bro.
But, you know, Marcus definitely been blowing it the fuck down.
So, it'll definitely be a competition.
You know, right now...
I taught these two how to smoke, so I'm probably...
You know what, bro?
I'm not even going to cap.
Like, yo, if you was still smoking loud, I think it would probably go to you.
But right now, you're on a little hiatus, bro.
So, like, you can't even talk right now, bro.
There's no smoking weed for you.
You ain't smoke no weed all 2024.
So, technically, you don't smoke weed.
Yo, I still be getting, like, lucid dreams of me hitting a blunt, bro.
And I wake up, and I'm like, damn, am I going to test positive?
Lose dreams of loud smoking.
That's how you know bro loves to smoke.
Yo, that's a scary feeling, though.
It's going to be a good competition, though, between the two of us.
I don't know.
I mean, if we base it off Miami, I think I got you.
Like, just off Deep Dazzle alone, that damn cannon.
I hit the cannon, though, too, bro.
But I hit that shit, like, six times, bro.
Every time he lit that shit, I was there.
Y'all were gone.
It was lit twice.
I hit it those two times, too.
And that shit was fire.
And we had a couple sessions.
I survived.
We got to do that, bro.
Let's have a real smoke competition between us hosts.
When Rami can come back and smoke, bro, you know, let's do it.
It always does come down to you and me, though, between the two.
When it's the last joint, everybody's like, all right, bro, I'm done.
Yo, facts.
It's always just me and you, and I'd be like, I just look at you like, bro, it's just, it's us, man.
There's sober kids in Africa who would love to finish that last joint.
So you got to just think of the children.
I always do, man.
You know, I'd be like, yo, that's more for the ones who can't smoke this.
I got to say, like, I don't think any other, like, like, hosts could probably hang with us.
There's some hosts.
I don't know, man.
We blow it down as hosts, as Web3 hosts.
I can never tell when Marcus is, like, really high.
I just can't.
That's my secret power.
Because, because he's always high, you know, that's why you can tell, because he's high up when he wakes up.
I was about to say, man.
He's high when he's on lunch.
He's high.
He's a high bastard.
Here's the interview trick.
If you, if you ever want to, like, always be stoned at work, you have to go to your interview stoned.
So that way, they think that's just the normal you forever.
Yeah, you just set the standard.
No, but I'm, I'm actually, like, you'll be surprised.
Like, a lot of people can't tell that I'm, like, always smacked.
Until, like, like, I get to a point where I'm, like, all right, bro, like, I need to sit down.
I'm that high.
Yeah, otherwise, like, if I'm standing up and I'm functioning, oh, yeah, you'll never know.
Yeah, bro, it works, it works different for you, you know.
It works, it works well for what you need it for.
You can function with it.
And you know how to medicate yourself with it.
So, you know, there's, there's some folks out here who, who just use it for fun.
And they probably can't do that.
But for you, you use it for a real reason, you know.
Yeah, man.
I'm after, like, I'm after my balance.
Like, I know where I need to be at all times for me to be, like, my functional self.
And it works, bro.
Like, because, like, a lot of times, like, my brain is, like, rapid firing.
And I can't never make my connections.
Like, I can't make how this connects to this, how this will connect to this.
But, bro, I can smoke and then be like, oh, wait.
Now it's my, my thoughts are, like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
And I'm like, yeah, now I'm rolling.
And now, like, I can start writing stuff down.
And I'm like, all right, this makes sense.
This all makes sense now.
That's literally how I live my life every day.
Um, it's, like, when I, when I haven't smoked, people will be, like, are you okay?
Because they're so used to me being down a level.
Um, I have ADHD and autism.
Um, so the way I explain it is there's, like, a million thoughts going through my head at any time.
And this just helps me focus on one.
You can just focus on one single thought, one single task.
And I am so much more productive that way.
That's literally it.
Like, it's just the rapid fire sequences.
And you're just like, all right, I just need to pinpoint one.
Yeah, like.
And then I can follow through with everything that I need to do.
For me, I can always tell that, like, I need to smoke because I'll have, like, 20 tabs open.
And four different Adobe programs.
And I'm, like, working on everything all at once.
And I'm, like, okay, I need to, like, slow this down.
I need to take, I need to separate myself for a minute, smoke, and then come back and, like, bust this out one by one instead of all of it at the same time.
Yo, that's my computer right now, bro.
Then you probably need to smoke more.
Yeah, you ain't lying.
Yeah, he definitely needs to smoke a lot more.
Oh, that's a great idea.
Christiano.
I was, like, yo, smoking.
That's a great idea.
I just started to roll up.
I was, like, everyone in here is smart.
They got good ideas.
I've been to a bunch of other rooms today, and they all got good ideas.
But you guys have the best ideas.
You missed a lot of good ones, too, homie.
That's why it's recorded.
I could smoke and go back in time.
You probably should on this one, to be honest.
No time travel.
Jen dropped some freaking event-throwing alpha.
We talked about plans for next Basil.
Like, let's all link up and make this shit awesome.
We interviewed Dr. Larry Sanders for the first part of the show.
Yeah, man, that Sanders convo was so dope, man.
The story is that he's, oh, man, like, y'all definitely want to check that out, man.
He was dropping some gems and some dope experiences that happened to him along the NBA and, you
know, his now journey in cannabis, book writing, as well as music, and the big three, bro.
So, yeah, it was a real dope conversation.
Glad we got to touch on all that, even though it was a short hour.
It just felt like a long hour, but, you know, stay tuned for part two.
Yeah, he was amazing.
Last time we were in here, he was spitting some knowledge, and I was just like, damn,
like, I really want to go back and listen to that, too, because, like, he was really inspirational.
Like, every time he opens his mouth, I'm, like, really inspired to, like, just do more.
I'm like, what am I doing with my life?
I could be helping so much more, and, like, he's just got that, yeah, that kind of inspirational
energy behind him, man.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah, man.
It was a vibe, man.
Yeah, definitely go back, check it out, and, like, Lou was saying, man, it's definitely
going to be a part two.
We're going to make it happen.
It's just real dope vibes.
Man, you know how it always is when you come in here, man.
It's big family vibes.
And we're definitely keeping, we're definitely keeping Cristiano in mind for those events,
too, but we had a sick conversation about that stuff in Miami.
Yo, Michael K., what's good?
What's good?
I just had Dillo pulled up.
I heard him in the spaces with y'all, so I had to come up and say what's up to everybody.
What's up, Profits, Marcus, Smokey?
What's going on, everybody?
Let me tell you something.
Michael is in the middle of unraveling a Philly blunt the size of this marker in my hand right
And he loves it.
He loves it.
He loves that.
That's his favorite thing to do.
And to share it.
Let's fucking go.
Yo, I actually, I was laughing to myself because I remember at the Wake and Bake and Marcus's
event, I was looking for him towards the end of the event.
I was like, where's he at?
And I see him 40 feet away from me, and I'm like, oh, cool.
There he is.
So I'm starting to walk towards him, and he's standing in an MPC pose, the default pose,
as I'm walking towards him.
And I keep going towards him, and then smoke starts coming out of his mouth, but he's not
hitting anything.
I'm like, yo, this guy's emitting smoke from nothing, bro.
What are you smoking on?
It was a hilarious interaction.
It was like, where did that just come from?
Bro, that was the funniest shit ever.
I was like, what the fuck?
I wish I could do that, bro.
Just stand there and smoke come out.
He was malfunctioning.
But amazing, amazing events.
Every fucking event at Art Basel was amazing.
The vibes at everything was crazy.
Everyone that threw an event, it was just, it was beautiful.
This is why I love the NFT community.
This is why it's like, you have 10,000 friends when you go to these parties.
It's not like the regular Web2 events where everyone's getting together for this one fucking
table at a club and getting ready all night.
And then you walk in, everyone's got a pissed off face on.
Like, what the fuck kind of way to fucking have fun is that?
I don't get it.
Your event, I was able to run and bump into randomly Kane Mayfield and I didn't even expect
to see him at all in Art Basel.
He's like, I'm not coming.
If I do, I'll have a razor blade in my cheek.
And I was like, all right, cool.
And then like, just to be able to like bump into him and just watch him roast people like
in real life.
Oh, so much fun.
I'm going to see him again next week and watch him roast people.
It's the best part.
You go outside and smoke and just watch him just like pick someone.
He's like, this dude seems fucking, you know, cocky and stupid.
And that's my next target.
And then he just picks someone and he just starts roasting them.
Oh, so much fun.
I highly recommend it.
He's an amazing performer too on stage, but like off stage, there's like a whole sideshow
with Kane Mayfield.
You just get to go outside and watch him hold court.
It's coming down, man.
We got 20 minutes until, until the breakdown here.
Yeah, man.
So, uh, go ahead and roll up, get your bombs ready, get your, get, get your edibles, your
rigs, whatever, you know what I'm saying?
Cause you know what happens at 420 round here.
We light the fuck up.
What's up?
What's good, Janelle?
What's up, what's up, what's going on?
Chilling, getting calm.
You know it.
You already know, man.
We smoking, we smoking big weed.
I know I have to, but I, I already started on the wine too.
So I'm about to go, um, to a family dinner.
So I had to like track.
Free game for the family.
Like just to be able to handle that.
Like, oh boy.
Family drama.
Here we come.
Nah, no family drama today.
It's going to be beautiful.
You're going to have a beautiful time.
It's going to be blessed with the fam.
Y'all are going to fucking get home safely and, you know, plan the next one, you know?
Of course.
Of course.
I mean, we all get along.
I'm like talking shit.
It's like no ever drama.
But, you know, it's just still like a lot of people.
My family is like quite big.
So when we're all in one spot, it's just like, I get social anxiety from my family.
I feel that.
I feel that.
You know, we Hispanic.
So like my family go crazy.
Everyone sounds like they arguing with each other, but they really not.
They just speak.
I'm Italian.
I definitely understand that, bro.
Pounding the table and talking with our hands.
Screaming over each other.
The decibel levels.
I put out a decibel, like on your watch.
I pull out my Apple watch.
Go, you'll realize how loud you are?
And I show them my watch.
I'm like, ridiculous.
It's like a jet engine.
It's like a jet engine.
Nah, you're not capping, though, man.
It gets crazy, but I love it.
Where y'all going, though, Jolly?
Where y'all going tonight?
I'm in Jersey right now, and I'm going to a town called Fanwood.
Fanwood, New Jersey.
What's on the menu?
What y'all about that?
I don't know.
It hasn't been told yet.
I just know that afterwards, there's going to be even more drinking and smoking.
That's good.
That's dope.
You know, the family, like the elders, we have the dinner with the elders, and then we
put them upstairs, and then we all go downstairs.
How's the homie Ari doing?
Is he, you know, how does everything go with him?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's doing really good.
I was actually with him on New Year's.
He lives in this amazing church.
He's in a band, and the two bandmates, they're audio and visual, like, kind of geniuses, whatever
And they bought a church, and they made it into a studio.
That's dope.
They had a big major.
It's actually in Pennsylvania, but right outside of New Jersey.
It's in Penn Argyle.
And it's funny, because the street that you have to go down to get to his house is Alpha.
The match made in Alpha.
Yeah, the Alpha leads to the church.
That's sick.
I think he's thinking about trying to do some kind of meetup there soon.
And we wanted to do it for the New Year's, but I don't know.
It just got too quick and, you know, whatever.
But I think coming soon, yeah, look for that.
That sounds like the dopest venue ever.
That's true.
You can be on my gospel shit.
It's so dope.
On my preacher shit.
Do you feel the music inside of you?
Get the preacher vibes going.
You know, I feel that.
Yeah, the acoustics in this spot is just insane, right?
And then they left some of the, like, details, but then they used, like, all the wood from
the benches to create the studio.
And it's sick.
They have it set up really sick.
I'll try to find something and post it if I can really quick.
When you see him, just tell him I said, what up?
You already know.
Can't wait till then.
He's trying to get into more spaces now that they have it all set up.
They're going to, he's been working on some music himself.
And I think he's going to try to release something soon.
That's the whole thing.
We'll have to get him up in this space.
He has to be up in this space.
Morissette talking.
Man, I love that dude.
Super cool dude, man.
And that was one of the first dudes I met IRL and like really got to chop it up with
like from Web3, like at NFT NYC, bro.
Like it was so dope.
And then to know like that he won that fucking, that trip to like to Vegas with alien friends.
That was dope, man.
I was like, yo, you're the dude.
Like, cause I saw all that go down and I saw like, you know, he was, he was pretty much
like a main part of that shit.
So when I seen him in person, I was like, dude, like you were the dude in that video.
You were, you know, it's like, how, how'd that feel?
Like winning all that, seeing all that happen in the space.
And it was dope.
Like super, super random choice pick too, to get that airdrop.
And that was a dope experience.
Word, word.
You know, it's funny cause we've known each other since we were 16, like in IRL.
And he, you know, minted, I think the goons, like I remember him telling me.
And he was like, yo, I'm minting the goons.
And then all of a sudden he was like minting the alien friends.
And I was watching what he was doing.
And I was like, yo, get me involved in this any way you can.
And that's how I got addicted.
And, and now like, you know, to see, like, it's funny because I've become, you know, I
stood in the spaces a lot.
I mean, he's working.
He lost his mom like recently too.
So there was like some shit that went down, but, um, yeah, he's, uh, he, he, he needs
to be back more in the spaces.
He needs to come around.
He's such a good person.
I love the homie, man.
And so talented.
I think he's going to, like I said, he's going to start releasing some music and I think
he's going to blow a lot of people away.
So I'm excited.
It's beats.
He does beats and stuff like that.
So if there's any, uh, vocalists out there, for sure.
And what's his, I handle it's, uh, a R I W H Y.
I'll, uh, I'll post that.
I'll post that up top.
Or, or to you directly or whatever.
Just follow them.
Like I'm always down to meet new producers and I, and I'm so connected with so many different
rappers and singers and stuff that it's like, just the beats will, they'll get out there.
You know, if we get in touch, I'm like, I have so many people.
Like, do you know any rappers?
I'm like, do I, boy, do I, I know more rappers than regular people.
Yeah, no, definitely check them out.
I fucking, I see him killing it on, on Instagram, bro.
He'd be playing with the fucking, the beats all the time on there.
Like, yeah.
And he's been doing, you know, he's done some stuff like, you know, he's, uh, he's kind
of done some touring and like some visual audio stuff around a couple of big tours, whatever.
And, you know, he, nothing like that he would be like known for is more like behind the scenes,
but he's worked with some pretty big people as well.
And so, but he's quiet, you know, that's the thing.
That's why I'm trying to like push him back into those spaces.
That's what I have to be so great for too, taking people like out from behind the, the
curtain, you know, in music where like they're my ghostwriter or producer, like I worked in
the studio for forever and now being able to like work on my own stuff is a dream come
So, and so just showing them that there is a path to be able to be like, Hey, you know,
you're, maybe you're not going to quit your job day one, but you know, you sell a few
and suddenly it's motivating for you.
You're like, Oh, people are listening and they're buying it.
So I should put more effort into this and then, you know, and then you kind of get pulled
in slowly and slowly and slowly.
And then suddenly you're like full blown DJ and, you know, making your money on music
NFTs and, you know, and things like that.
So definitely a path.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely.
I think that's, you know, I, I love that version of what's happening in the spaces as well.
It's like all these artists having a platform to work without having to deal with, um, you
know, labels or bullshit that happens, um, which, you know, I've, I've seen it all happen
So it's, it's, it's nice.
It's very, very cool.
And like, I, you know, all, I feel like all the musicians who are doing it now are
going to be so far ahead of everybody else when the real world kind of catches on.
Yeah, it's really cool how we found a way to, we didn't try to do this, but it's almost
like over the last two years, we found like everything that you could do, a label could
do for you.
It's like, we can get that done within the community because everyone has a different
skillset, even if you're not a musician, you know, it's like you, you might have something
that's a distribution model over here, you know, or a way to get us to more eyeballs
or maybe run a vinyl manufacturing company, you know, things like that.
And everyone's just kind of pulling together to pump their own bags.
Cause their own bags are like, you know, CDs.
They like bought these people's CDs and they're like, Hey, these CDs are going to go up in
Cause they're limited edition.
That's the kind of like the speculative aspect of it.
So, um, yeah.
And then they found a way to just kind of in doing that, almost like trying to pump their
We ended up creating this really holistic, nice, like organic, like music label.
That's not a label.
It's just all of us together, pushing, uh, pushing each other.
And like, we have probably, I think we have better discovery than Spotify.
Cause you can ask any artist here who their favorite artists are.
And then suddenly you could put onto 10 new amazing artists.
Cause we all have like, we're all fans of each other.
It's so the truth.
Like I, I, I'm totally like stoked on everything that is going on.
And I just can't wait to see what's happening.
My dog is like waiting for me to feed her.
So she's barking in the background.
Um, but yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm stoked.
I can't wait, you know, and it's so true.
It's like the building, the community.
It's like you guys, there is there, like you said, the graphic artists or,
you know, the production or the beats or the singers or, you know, everything involved.
And it's nice to work together.
I miss that in the real world.
Like nobody wants to do that.
Everybody's for self.
So that's why I'm here.
We made music a team sport.
That's vibes right there.
That's vibes.
That's the vibes we want here.
What's good though?
Christiano.
What you doing for the next IR relevant, man?
The next IR relevant?
I'm thinking, um, we were going to do one in, in LA here at the end of the month, but
now I'm thinking, um, just to like, you know, marshal our resources towards either
East Denver or just if we're only going to do one, uh, everything's going into NFT NYC,
you know, cause I'm actually like moving back.
So NFT LA, I believe is still happening end of March.
So what I'm thinking is like, I'm going to move out of my place here in LA end of March
anyway, and move to New York, which is perfect topic for NFT NYC.
Um, so I was thinking like, I'll put all my stuff in a U-Haul and just like throw a
rager out of my bed.
Cause my, I have this loft here that I could actually put probably like 200 people in if
I really, you know, if we really had like an ass to elbows, we all pack in here.
I got no furniture, you know, move it up, move everything out except for the drum set
and the PA system and just have a fucking hell of a concert.
Cause we play drums here at five 30 in the morning and I have no neighbors.
So there's no problem.
Like there's a gym on one side of me and the parking garage on the other side.
So we've never gotten a complaint.
And I'm kind of like, it's a drummer kind of like affronted and I'm a little bit, you
know, offended.
So I hope we can get at least one noise complaint before we leave.
So that's the plan.
Uh, we'll throw a hell of mega rager and then, uh, what are they going to do?
Kick us out.
We're leaving the next day.
I'll give them my keys the next day and be like, thanks for the spot.
It's a fucking rock star.
Thanks for the spot.
Tossing the keys, smoking a cigarette, my sunglasses on, just jump in the U-Haul and never see these
people again.
Um, and then move to New York.
So I think that might be a fun thing.
And then in New York, we already have the venue.
Um, it's called Bowery Electric.
Um, it's going to be our residency, our home base for the Pepe Punks, uh, down in New York.
And, uh, you know, I know all the bartenders.
I know the GM.
I know everyone who runs the place and it's a dope little downstairs spot.
It's on Joey Ramone place.
So it's like literally, it says Joey Ramone place up front.
It's two doors down from CBGB is where it was rest in peace.
Uh, and I'm really thinking that we could not just, you know, bring web three there consistently.
Um, because it's right down the block from where there used to be, you know,
crypto Mondays.
Um, so there are, we know people know how to get to that part of town, right?
Uh, but also I think we could really bring rock back or kind of keep the flame alive and
not just rock, but hip hop.
Cause they are, you know, sub genres of the same genre.
So, um, it's that it's realizing that the underground shows are the underground shows.
And that's what people want to go to.
So they just want the artists to be dope.
And, you know, we, we have no problem with that.
We have an abundance of dope artists.
So, uh, it's going to be incredible.
And then, um, from there on out, you know, who knows, but I know before that we're doing
the pigeons of New York Superbowl party as well, uh, which is going to be incredible
So, uh, and, uh, Tony just reached out to me as well, um, about possibly doing something,
um, with him as well.
So yeah, we're all, we're all staying connected.
Art Basel was amazing, man.
The way we all came together and shout out to Jen, honestly, like she was like the glue
that like brought everyone to get her in those spaces.
And then we all kind of became this other family, this other mini web three family that
I didn't know existed of like event organizers of like people that want to like do it really
dope, not do the Hyatt grand ballroom.
You know what I mean?
Like find a little dive bar.
And that's why, you know, Pepe Punk's it's perfect brand.
Cause it's like, we could do a dive bar, you know, we're not trying to pretend we're
You know what I mean?
We have like a cardboard type brand.
I like to call it, you know, it's like, it's, everything's like handmade and shit.
So, uh, it's a lot cheaper for us to run.
But so that's, that's the plans for right now, man.
I love that.
I love electric.
That's like, I've been going there forever.
It's the fucking dive, right?
So many shows forever.
Um, that's really.
Um, I'm actually want to connect with you.
I'll talk to you.
I'll DM you because there's, uh, there's actually another venue too, that, um, I'm working with
right now called heaven can't wait.
And it's the old brownies, which is not far from there.
Um, which is very similar to the, you know, um, same kind of, uh, value of what, you know,
it has very electric.
I smoked a joint out front.
So, yes, yes, yes.
So, you know, so I'm working, um, with them, I'm putting on some things as well.
So, um, let's connect.
Hell yeah.
Well, I already DM'd you about that, uh, that church.
So I'm already ahead of it.
All right.
All right.
So we'll, uh, manifest some things.
We just did.
Damn, bro.
Yo, NFT and Westy is going to be a vibe.
I can already tell.
We should partner on something because we're already talking to partner with the pigeons
and like April union and all these different people and just doing something like some mega
I think if we all just come together, we could like really burn it down.
Plus, honestly, like last year, what did we learn?
Like everyone stopped doing events at different fucking venues.
Just fucking coordinate.
That was like the overwhelming criticism.
You know, it was just like, we need to coordinate and just, I'll put everyone in the same building
because we don't want to be getting in fucking cabs, eating up our money.
Pack that motherfucking bowl.
Two minutes.
Two minutes.
Fucking minutes.
You're way too nice.
You're way too nice for letting them know.
What if you, what if you pack your bowl every two minutes?
Two minute drill.
Two minute drill.
If you stay prepared, you ain't got to get prepared.
That's the alpha right there.
Bro, I just came in from undigging.
Our car got stuck out in the snow.
We got three foot snow drifts out there.
This shit is nuts, man.
Damn, bro.
I'm praying for you.
Us, us, us, southern New Yorkers.
We don't get that no more.
Yeah, I promise you, after my lease is up, I won't be getting that anymore.
New York did his airdrop that's all.
Yeah, bro, it don't even, yo, bro, it'd be like 50 degrees down here, bro.
Like, in the city, dude, it's crazy.
Like, we'll get, we'll get a little, like, week of cold.
Like, supposedly next week's supposed to be really cold.
But, bro, I'm not used to this, bro.
I'm used to, like, a snowstorm every other week, you know, at least.
But that hasn't been the case, usually.
Hey, if you have it, bro, if you have it, I'll swap you right now.
I think we're going to have, like, a really brutal February.
You know, like, when we have those and it's all, like, nice,
and then all of a sudden it hits you from, like, behind.
Yeah, that's what they, they've been predicting a very, like,
like, like a fucking bad snowstorm to happen.
But let's see.
Surprise, motherfucker.
Day after tomorrow.
Start the fuck up.
Light the fuck up.
