damn it we got rocked ladies and gentlemen i don't know what happened
it started with you guys not hearing me and then i started not hearing you and then we got we got
kicked i hope you can hear me now can you give me a thumbs up in the audience if you can hear me
yes we can hear you let's go that's great okay so we're back. We have one guest left. We got right back at like 200 listeners,
so that sucks.
But we are back.
We have one guest left.
We want to hear from 4UAI,
so I'm going to invite the 4UAI account up on stage.
Like and retreat the space
so we can get
at least a few of our previous
listeners back
you said you can hear me now right?
Yeah that might be the first whale
in a while, go tweet about it guys
that being said
you can't have a good space if there's no
occasional rug
happening in between uh the space was going too well for no mishaps happening that being said
there's one project remaining and that is for you i do not want to waste anyone's time i know we're
waiting for loki to jump up on stage but that being said i know everyone's tuning in if you
still have any questions feel free to drop in the comment section down below but for you welcome to the stage how you guys doing good morning good afternoon
good evening hi hi hi will hi chef balsa quills dark table spark ball too as well if you guys
here just want to play you a jingle to wake everyone up all right hope everyone's awake by now so hi everyone my name is Kai, co-founder and CEO at 4UAI. Just some background
about myself, I've been in the crypto space and a builder for about 10 years now. I founded Togo
Crypto, which is Southeast Asia's largest licensed crypto exchange. We sold it off to Binance in 2022
and right now I'm currently working on 4UAI. If you think about 4UAI, what the role we have, okay, is you can
think of Somnia in a game as the hard carry. We have spark ball, quills, dark table as, you know,
the disabler and the different roles. And you can think of 4 uai as the hard support we're here to support we're
here to basically help projects go to market and try to basically figure out true you know make
sense of the noise and chaos in in you know crypto twitter on social media or you know basically help
them to go to market uh you know thanks to somnia for you ai AI is one of the ecosystem partners in Somnia, the largest community so far.
So thank you all, the community who has helped us to push through.
And basically, think about it that what we're trying to do is turn attention to retention
and to help projects basically figure out how to improve their projects and to listen to the community
and continue to work on their projects.
Think of us like, I always like to give this analogy about project building using my favorite
restaurant.
So I personally live in Bali, Singaporean, but I moved out to Jakarta and then finally
now I'm ended up in Bali.
There's this
restaurant around the corner a Korean restaurant that my wife and I love a lot uh initially it
sucks it was a shitty ass restaurant but you know the thing about Korean restaurant is that
the owner is always there and the first time my wife and I were there the restaurant owners were
there they spoke to us we told them you know the food is you guys got improved uh you know
surprisingly the next time we came back the food improved and it just kept improving onwards from
then on and now it's become my wife and i's uh favorite restaurant in bali same like projects
right when you first start out you're not gonna get a perfect project you're gonna face bugs issues
you're gonna you're gonna get rocked like Twitter's face, right?
So that's why we built 4U AI.
We want to help projects figure out the community and what they need
and basically build product features that fits them.
Build games that people want to play, that people would die for,
would want to buy skins for.
And basically, how we're going about doing it
is that we have a few different components.
The first one is our AI DID.
So what we do is that we help users to pull data
from their social media or digital platforms
and we turn that into a decentralized identity.
And the next one that we're trying to do
is to bring communities on-chain.
Not just communities, but things like interests, hobbies,
all the likes of that, we want to try and bring it on-chain.
So far, we have worked with Somnia.
We've had much success, 1.4 million mints on-chain.
We have developed an on-chain referral tracking system
that you can track.
You can just go to the token contract.
You can click on right read proxy, if I'm not wrong.
And you can click on top 10 referrals.
Or you can even click on any of the addresses
that you want to check.
And you can see actually how many wallets have been brought in
by this specific wallet address.
So we're currently, the decentralized identities are live.
We're currently building out our MVP to create a more user-friendly interface
for projects to be able to interact with.
Think of us like tools and infrastructure.
What's next for us?
We're building out XP NFT badges, InfoFi, plus plus layers,
so more than what Kaito cookies are doing.
Yeah, and the end of the day, community is important.
And yeah, we're here to basically come in
and be the heart support for any project,
especially if you're building Insomnia.
We're here to help.
We're happy to work with Quills.
We just had a play together with Sparks Ball.
Hopefully, we can have a play together
together with Darktable soon too as well.
Thanks, Will.
Thanks, Chef.
That's all for me.
Thank you, Kai, for the...
You can still hear me, Chef, right?
Yeah, you're good.
I'm a little paranoid now,
so I will ask that a couple of times during the last pitch.
But no, thank you, Kai, for the pitch.
Great one.
Would love to, for the first question, bring communities on chain and kind of, you know, offering support in that way.
I think that's a really, really good business model and initiative.
Would love to hear, like, why did you decide to do this on Somnia? really good business model and initiative.
Would love to hear why did you decide to do this on Somnia?
We serve part of the audience.
Did you also, similar to Darktable and Sparkball, go on a call with Paul and immediately decide to build on Somnia?
What was the thought process behind it?
So my love relationship with Paul
came in at a later date.
I first fell in love with the team
before I actually had a chance
to speak with Paul.
And like what Darktable
and Sparks Paul has mentioned,
it's, you know, it's different.
It's completely different
when you speak to the team at Somnia
versus speaking to the team at any other
layer one chains out there um they're very supportive um and um very move moves very fast
um and paul himself is uh you know is very supportive i i had i managed to had a one-on-one
call with him shared quite a lot he gave a of feedback, very open and very willing to connect us.
So honestly, if you ask me beyond the tech, back to it.
What makes a layer one different from another layer one?
It's the community.
And how would the community be different from one community to another?
It's the team that's building the Lay1 protocol, basically.
Is the team willing to listen?
Is the team willing to make improvements, make upgrades,
listen to the community?
Now, that's what is going to make a difference
between one protocol to another, in my opinion.
And I think Somnia has it all.
Great answer. Shif, would love to throw it to you next.
Yeah, for sure. I think going back to one of my earlier questions, I think building on a chain,
building on an ecosystem is definitely not something that a lot of people really take into consideration, right?
I think they look at short-term perspectives, but they tend to overlook longevity.
And I think for a project success, longevity is something that is important to keep on top of mind.
Now, given that you're building on top of Somnia, you know, where do you guys really see yourselves
a couple of years down from here?
Obviously, given the volatility in crypto,
like my bags nuking last night,
you never know what's happening next.
But, you know, it's important,
especially as a builder,
to understand two to three plus years down the line,
how things are going to be looking.
So how we see
ourselves you know as a hard support role is we expect that you know there will be more and more
players coming in uh to the market um trying to build new products, to build new games,
we see that that will continue to expand,
especially with Somnia's ecosystem push.
I think that this is really at a very early stage,
whereby there are a lot of new projects that we're currently building on, you know,
the different currently building and exploring the different chains.
I think two, three years down the road, I do hope to see some of the more, you know,
Web2 native projects come on chain, perhaps working closely with somnia at some point too as well or where we see ourselves
um ultimately becoming that identity layer whereby we can start to um you know previously
how how it's how it's done is that in order for games to want to reach out to the audience they
usually go to google sorry they usually go to google ads, Twitter Ads, and trying to get that done,
and don't really know who the end user is.
And they can't really listen to them.
So what we want to do is to build a layer that
can help bridge between games, projects,
to the community, to the users, so that they can not only
listen but also interact with them directly.
Yeah, I think it's very late stage,
and really looking forward to see
how we can grow together
with the Somnius ecosystems as well.
Can you elaborate a bit on the AI part
kind of in all of this, right?
Sometimes like AI encryptors
a little bit overused,
I feel like,
especially like during the AI agent kind of meta that we had
where a lot of them were just like chat GPT wrappers.
So I would love to hear like what's kind of the AI element
in all of this and how are you approaching it?
So how we see AI inside here is basically as a kind of like
a data processing inference layer, right?
There's currently so much noise that is going out there.
How we have built our AI layer is essentially to build out an inference
model that interprets and then interprets all the different, you know, tweets that's going out,
all the different yaps, snaps, cookie snaps, or it could be, you know, the different comments that
are being posted. And to process that, you know, into a, I guess, bite-sized information level
and to give insights or valuable insights to projects
to see how they can then take those insights
and turn those into actionable improvements.
That's where we see our AI as.
I think the value comes in in actually fine-tuning that inference model to make sure that
the algorithm um we're taking a more open and transparent approach to the algorithm
so that you know projects like somnia i mean lay-on protocols like somnia could perhaps want
to tweak the algorithm to be a bit more gamer specific and then to be able to let gamers be
able to have kind of like a higher point reward system for example and yeah basically that's
where we see our ai as we're not building our ai agents just yet to automate workflows.
But that is also still something that we will be exploring down the road
to see perhaps that could also help projects
who want to figure out their go-to-market strategy
and that could help them out too as well.
Very good.
Loki Bosa, if you have any questions, feel free to,
or any comments, feel free to throw
up your hand.
I have another one, and you mentioned working with some of the projects we had on stage
today, Quilt, Spark Ball was the other one, right?
Or was it Duck Table?
Kai, can you hear us?
Yes, can you say that again?
Yes, you mentioned you already worked with some of the projects we had on today, right?
With Quills?
Yes, Quills and we had a play together with Sparks Ball earlier.
Amazing. My question was what are some of the other
players within the
Somnia ecosystem that you worked with
in the past? Maybe you can highlight
a few and what you
helped them with.
Especially for
Quilts, I think it would be interesting.
My background is we did
NFTs back in the day, so
we'd love to hear how you supported supported like them kind of what they have been doing.
The partnership with Quills has not started, but it's going to be announced soon.
So I guess for that one, you're just going to have to wait and see
because I'm not sure if I could share anything about that yet.
You don't want to spoil it, we get it.
Yeah, yeah.
So, you know, follow Will, follow Somnia, follow us, follow Quills
to, you know, always be notified of any of the things that's going to be coming up.
But yes, something is coming up
um so that one's on that uh with uh spark ball what we did was a play together essentially think
of us like helping these projects to generate traffic um and we are still working on an mvp to
get it out so that projects could go inside and look at the dashboard
and look at how the community is responding
to their games or their features.
And the next phase further on through that
would be being able to interact back with the users.
So far, it's mostly on traffic generation.
Got it. Thanks so much.
Buster, we're going to give you the last question of the space.
So I hope it's a good one.
Jesus, there's a ton of pressure now.
Actually, Will, I asked this just moments ago,
but I just want to understand more deeper.
You know, AI as an identity.
One, there's already a lot of ai slop on the timeline
i'm just curious on like what's going to differentiate someone that creates an identity
with ai versus someone that just you know doesn't use it as all or use it at all i'm curious for you
how do you see that so i mean we all know that AI simplifies the process way, way more than if it's not already utilizing AI.
AI can process.
AI is, the difference between AI and the typical machine learning methods that we use is that what it does is that it's able to process more towards string of words, being able to extract out more information and inferences
from unique things like our comments and our chats. So that's the thing that we see that differentiates
between identity that runs through an AI inference
versus identity that's not.
With that being said, what we are doing
is actually a combination of both.
We're using the AI to extract out information
from users' comments,
plus also seeing what other things that we can extract out from,
you know, without actually needing to run through AI,
such as things like, you know, badges or on-chain reputation score.
Yeah, things like that.
Loki, I started with the hand up as well. I don't know if you have any last comments before we wrap it up
Yeah, so I missed the first part so I am not fully aware for UAI what it is
I just want to say guys like if I check your bio on Twitter
I still don't understand what you guys are trying to do
So maybe my question is,
what's the name of the restaurant in Bali?
That's the only thing I can ask.
Are you based in Bali by any chance, Loki?
Yes, I'm coming for you.
All right.
Hey, listen, I'm actually coming Bali in August.
So, you know, send me that restaurant.
You guys should check.
It's called Mogugung.
All right, I'm going to need you to text me that because I'm not going to remember. Okay, I'll text you guys that check. It's called Mogugung. It's... Alright, I'm going to need you to text me that
because I'm not going to remember.
Okay, I'll text you guys that at the restaurant.
And I'll see you guys in Bali in August.
You're coming for CoinFest, right?
Yeah, I'll be making sure
Whale comes out as well
for his first doxed event.
So, looking forward to that.
You heard it here first.
Joker, I've been saying that
for the past two years.
Big if true, big if true.
Guys, if Kaito hits hits $10 he's coming out
stop betting
thank you Kai for
coming up on the show today
sorry everyone we got
wrecked like I think one hour
and 20 minutes in
one hour and 10 minutes in
so we appreciate everyone we still have
120 people in here again so we appreciate everyone. We still have 120 people in here again.
So we appreciate everyone tuning in today.
I want to thank Somnia for doing this with us today.
It was a lot of fun.
I want to thank Darktable, Sparkball, Quills for UAI
for taking time as well to give us their pitch.
Of course, want to thank Loki and Bosa for coming on today
as guests on the panel.
And want to thank
Shiv for co-hosting.
It was a great space. We'll be back soon.
We might do another whale tank
sometime. Really enjoyed doing
these, kind of highlighting a few players.
Really enjoyed our speakers today.
So we will be back. Have a
great Friday. Enjoy the great weather. And we will be back. Have a great Friday. Enjoy the great weather.
And we will be back soon.
Thank you, everyone.
Stay with Sumner.
Stay with Quills.
