If you didn't know, recognize me already. And today we've got something kind of cool lined up.
So if you are an MMO gamer or a fantasy fan, I think this will be a kind of fun space for y'all.
We're diving into Avalon. This is an immersive world being built by...
What are you doing rubbing your hands
this is an immersive world being built by danny games uh joining us is none other than maria ceo
of danny games avalon recently wrapped up its alpha phase and is now moving into the beta plus
i think they also recently got listed or wish listed on steam opening the door to even more
um traditional players
of games of this type.
So if you're already in here, do us a solid retweet the space,
please, so others can join and catch the latest on Avalon.
As always, a quick reminder, nothing shared here
is financial advice, is about education
and connecting with community and sharing
what's being built on WAC.
So, Marius, thank you so much for joining us.
How are you doing today?
Good morning.
Thank you for having me and always running the best streams and AMAs in industry over the last years.
So I'm glad to be here.
Always very professional and fun here.
You guys got to give him kudos.
He's really doing a good job compared to a bunch of other people around.
So come back to more spaces.
And I just want you to know that your hard work
is appreciated. Your preparations, your contact,
everything that you do is very professional.
I hope one day
one of the main stations are going to bring
you up and you're going to be running some really
big thing on TV for us.
So that's it. I just
wanted to say hey.
I appreciate it. Thank you so much for the accolades.
Yeah, I don't know if I'll be on TV.
Definitely thanks for radio over here.
Lars, thank you so much.
I really appreciate the kudos.
Would you mind briefly introducing yourself to any of our listeners
who might be new to the spaces or new to Avalon,
which maybe haven't heard you before?
Okay, so very briefly about myself.
I'm the CEO and owner and founder of Dano Games Corporation
in the United States.
And we have a game called Avalon, the game.
I've been on it with the team for the last three and a half years
from the beginnings of the design.
And we are an international team located in U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia.
That's where the team is located.
I'm going to give you guys a little bit rundown on Avalon if that's the next question.
Yeah, well, yeah, you read my mind.
Thanks for the intro. I do want to start talking about Avalon, and that was going you read my mind. Thanks for the intro.
I do want to start talking about Avalon, and that was going to be my first question.
For anyone new who doesn't know what the heck we're talking about, what's an MMORPG, what's Avalon,
can you give us kind of a big picture intro, like what's the world you're building
and kind of what sets it apart from other MMOs?
Well, if any of you over the years bump into games like World of Warcraft or Skyrim or Assassin's Creed or Zelda or Destiny, that's basically what we are.
A bunch of these mixed into one to bring you the most fun of every genre possible.
into one to bring you the most fun of every genre possible.
So Avalon is a medieval fantasy MMO,
which is a massive multiplayer game.
But in our case, there is not 100 players fighting bosses.
It's mostly six or seven in a raid to keep it more tactical.
And in our game, the history and myth throw, you know,
kind of party together,
and we just don't listen to historians.
So we give you a little bit of, you know, we have the Templars,
we have the Druids, we have the Dragons, and we have the conspiracies
and the type of the boss fights that will really ruin your keyboard
or ruin your controllers.
So we're trying to make it fun in Avalon.
It's not this typical boring MMO when you go around and you pick up stuff
and you mix things and you just fall asleep in front of your keyboard.
It's a lot of fun, a lot of jokes, a lot of good writing in the game
and a lot of cool adventures.
What sets us apart, I would say, the mix of alternate history and the legendary storytelling.
We have the best experts in the world on Templars and on Druids.
We take their advice and take the life of work that they dedicated,
some of them 50, 60 years of research, and we create stories around that and throw it on you
and then let you figure out if we can really be immortal, if aliens came to Arafat, we are the aliens,
or who really were the Templars,
and why the church was fighting them so hard,
and is the church good or is the church really bad?
So we bring all these stories in the game.
You can build settlements, you can own homes,
you can own businesses in games,
you can own just giant villages,
like some of the guilds that we have
currently you can raid lost tombs you can find the dragon egg and hatch it and train it and ride it
and own it and you can argue with your buddies about the holy grail and what is the consequence
of actually finding it you know in our game our game players, we'll travel from Scotland
to Portugal to Israel, and then we're working on DLC
that it's going to be taking place in Egypt.
And it's just not another MMO.
It's more of a playable, I would say, alternate timeline
where you can jump between different times as long as you are
in 1200s or restarting in 13th century
and you can go back up to 5000 years in Egypt.
I hope that was a good description. This is a very large project and I could talk just six hours about what Avalon is about.
It's a really massive MMO with six different classes, six different choices, some female characters,
some male characters.
In a web-free version, you can own your characters
and you can level them up and you can sell them back on the market.
In our NFT version, you have tons of different NFTs
that have 100% usability in the game, including your homes,
including the businesses that you can run for the community.
And these are not clickable cards, guys,
or something clickable that is not interactable in a game.
100% interactable and brings value to the community
and something that you can open your door,
lay down in your own bed, put your paintings on the walls.
We'd really put our hard work in this project.
not sure in the garage studio production anymore. Well that's it I hope that was
helpful. Yeah that's very helpful. That's a really good kind of
overlay of everything you can do. A lot of teasers in there too. I know I'm gonna have
questions about at least one of those later. Was the Templars and the Druids,
is that something that you've always been a fan of?
Or is that, how did the theme of that
or the timeline there come into your focus
when you wanted to make a game
and tell stories around this part of history?
Well, that comes a little bit to my fascination
with history and travel.
That's how this whole project started, because it burned deeply in my heart,
and I light up a bunch of people around me to do it.
It's the endless question.
Where did we come from?
That was the most important question for me,
as much as I can give people explanations and new facts that are appearing. And I went for Knights Templar because, according to many new researchers, including Freddy Silva that's working with us and a couple other ones,
the whole Knight Templar thing that you guys see today in Washington, D.C. or in America,
because that's who really created all these nations later on.
They were researchers of lost civilizations that were forgotten and lost technologies and architecture and anything else.
And that kind of brought me into fascination with Templars,
not a bunch of knights with swords running around or protecting pilgrims,
which was not true at all, but researchers and someone that looks for the truth.
And that was the Templars.
And then why did I brought Druids to it?
Again, Druids were just scholars of a very old and ancient knowledge.
And I kind of mixed them together because I don't know if you guys know that,
and this is, again again two hours of talking but there is a there is a very simple thing about Templars they researched the
oldest civilizations they used to spread across the world so did the druids right and they crossed
the paths and if you heard the stories for example when Templars first arrived in South America
they know the secret handshakes of the ancient civilizations.
And that's why the Indian civilizations back in the day in the 1800s or 1400s when Templars arrived, they greeted Templars with welcoming us brothers.
And when Spaniards arrived, they didn't know the handshakes.
And that's why the World War started.
So this is the story, how I came to it.
A little mysticism, a little research of the ancient civilizations. Our main question, where did we came from? How can we be immortal? And what
is really to be immortal? What is really to be enlightened? And that's how the Templars arrived
and the Druids arrived. That sounds like a real fun backdrop with a lot of different like
competing like storylines that you could like lead together um very cool um let's talk about the where you've been where you're going avalon
recently wrapped up it's alpha i think correct me if i'm honest it was a couple months ago
um what were some of the biggest learnings that you guys got what were some of the biggest
takeaways um and what do you think is going to change now that you're shifting into this kind of
more of an i'm i hesitate to say is it an open beta key? What can you tell us about the beta
coming up and what'd you learn from the alpha? Well, it's been a great experience with probably
close to 15. We limited the amount of passwords we were selling in the first stages. So we're not
the project that has 15, 000 players running around in alpha
and driving us crazy uh we limited the amount of passes we sold um i believe we had close to 1500
testers out of them probably 250 i will consider a veteran mmo players with over 15 20 years
experiencing in playing games um and we took that experience of theirs with our production,
put it all together and listened to people.
And, of course, just with a certain boundaries,
we didn't let them tell us what to do exactly.
But they turned the project apart.
You guys, just in mind that we've been up for one and a half years
in alpha, a total of i believe 16 or
18 months of playable alpha and by playable alpha there's two months of gameplay when you jump into
a game right now by the time you reach level 300 and you found all the chests and you beat all the
bosses it takes you about two months if you dedicate three to four hours a day there is a
lot of gameplay in avalon It's not a tiny game.
So we've built that.
We've learned the mistakes we've done.
Players found a lot of stuff that was broken,
a lot of stuff that was very annoying.
And that's pretty much the quest system needed a lot of love.
And we give it.
The inventory system was a mess.
Items vanished.
The tears were shed by players.
The anger, the keyboards were broken.
I heard laptops were broken.
But we replaced the inventories.
We make sure people don't lose their time.
But we learned what was wrong with it.
And players really loved the raids and the open world exploration.
And especially they really liked the scary enemy encounters that appear in Avalon at midnight because Avalon is not a safe place when you walk around at night.
So these were the things that we played in Alpha. And for Beta, we spent tons of money and time since September last year on rebuilding the inventory system.
Inventory system, for those of you guys that don't understand the
building, imagine there is a spider in the middle of the spider web, and it's connected to literally
everything around it in the spider web. And that spider is inventory system in a game.
It's connected to literally every single thing you build in a game. And you have to unhook it,
fix it, and hook it back. it's a huge challenge many companies never
does that because it takes insane amounts of money we did it we think we fixed it we're going
to be now testing it in beta so the inventory system is number one thing that um we were
rebuilding keep in mind we are in three different chains we're dropping nfts to inventories we're
dropping normal items to inventories we have to to remember players cannot share NFTs in-game.
It's nice when you play it, but behind it, it's a giant structure of code
that we hope our IP is valuable a lot by now.
And that was the work we did since September.
We added a brand new character inventory UI,
which is where you're dragging your items
and putting all these little fancy things around your character
to read how strong it is.
We've rebuilt all that.
It looks much better and it's more readable.
We introduced new crafting and cooking systems.
We had these before in the game, but they didn't require fuel,
and you couldn't mix different items, right?
And we addressed in beta almost nearly every major piece
of feedback that we got from the testers.
So I think it's going to shine.
I think the testers are going to come and break keyboards
for the first couple of months.
But our main goal, it was inventory, UI system,
crafting and cooking systems.
And one of the things that I forgot to mention,
and it's going to be exciting for all the new players,
we have a new map called the Tavern.
The Tavern was sponsored by the largest guild we have, SD.
And they told us kind of what they wanted.
We created a giant island with the Tavern inside.
If you ever played Star Wars, it's like the cantina in Star Wars.
When you come and meet mantra players, when you can learn new dances, when you can cook new meals,
when you can just chat about where you guys are going, it's going to be the central hub of all the players in the game
to meet up and departure on the missions.
So if you ever don't know where you are in the world, say, hey, let's meet up at tavern.
And you just teleport there, right? Best place to meet. A huge building with multiple different rooms to sleep,
tons of different tables, second rooms inside,
jukebox with dancing dwarfs there for you,
a lot of fun stuff, and face slap contest
when you can challenge players in PvP to face slapping,
and you can take their head off if you're good at it.
And also a practice of bow shooting.
Plus, the game now will start in the Tavern Beach
and in the Tavern Map to give you a tutorial.
It's a complicated MMO, required tutorial.
Therefore, we bring in the tutorial for that.
There is a million things that will change.
And I cannot tell you all of them.
It's a lot.
You just have to go and
come and play but to summarize inventory brand new character ui new crafting and cooking systems and
pretty much the tavern map it's it's the large new map now avalon it's uh up to three maps well
that's it for that update you know and i know from from some a little experience that I've had play testing and
bug squishing is of so much importance because the little tiny little things that get in there and
bother you every time definitely will you know lead to people getting frustrated thrown at their
hands like you said keyboards broken and stuff like that stuff is infuriating spend time do that
I'm hats off to getting all that fixed and sorted out. And yeah, on three different chains at once,
that seems like a lot of work. On top of that, you've had progress in the traditional gaming
front too. If I remember Avalon was approved for Xbox, it's available on Epic Games, and it also
should have a Steam page, I think, up or coming soon.
What does that mean for Avalon's audience growth, their accessibility?
How does that enhance it?
Well, when we started this project, guys, we were one of these weird indie projects in your DMs. Well, we're not that anymore.
We've been taken seriously by a lot of large companies,
and we're going mainstream, you know,
without selling out our soul, obviously.
But we're looking for this large audience,
and I'm going to give you some updates here
what happened in specifically the last eight months.
The first easier part for a lot of games is to be approved for Epic Games.
And you see a lot of projects in web-free space.
There are in Epic Games, right?
Epic Games has a great launcher.
It's a very popular platform.
And it's easy for web-free projects since we are in the web free space right um very easy to navigate and i encourage everyone to go and wishlist us on epic games
and uh we make sure we check these accounts that wishlist and give you some extra drops
um so epic games were the first step we did it two years ago um got it done we're there but web free games no matter what we say and
how we look at it they come light up burn die and no one never hears about them again and they never
have a giant communities they have claimed giant communities by saying there's that many wallets
that play it well let's run bot testers through it and we'll see really how many players is in a game so that was our problem is the size of the community
that we can really outreach to as a business and as a game that we're trying to be really ambitious
so the second step was web 2 gaming and this is for some of you to run projects here or support
projects so thank you consumer break i see some people that I know here too.
You're not really welcome in the Web 2 space
because you have a Web 3 game.
And that didn't change yet, despite whatever people say.
They look at you very weird.
They look at you down.
They look at you as scammer type and all these things that you guys know.
And all these things that you guys know, despite people sweetening it up, that didn't change.
Despite people sweetening it up, that didn't change.
And you need to have a Web2 project that is approved by these, let's say, publishers to be taken seriously.
So it took us, I would say, six, seven months of being denied by Microsoft before we were able to be approved for Xbox and a store so we work all the kinks and
little issues with them and all the explanations where we are what we're trying to do how we're
not mixing these two things before the legalities are worked out on their end and finally we've been
approved and uh we're going to launch on um I think not the game pass itself, but inside of every PC inside of your store
that's there by Microsoft.
We're already going to be there.
We're also receiving a grant
for conversion of Avalon to Xbox.
So they like us to the point
that we receive multiple grants, guys,
and including tons of expensive equipment that allows us to transfer the game
into Xbox and make it playable.
Not everyone gets it, they can tell you,
specifically if you apply and you've been in a web-free space.
So we got to this hurdle.
Okay, great, we're on Xbox, very excited.
This still takes a year at least of work, right?
It's not like tomorrow we're coming on Xbox.
And then we're all broken and nobody wants to play us.
We're not going to do it like that.
We're going to make sure it's serious.
We're getting a studio that Microsoft is going to approve that's going to help us and has experience with doing that.
We're not trying to learn the system.
We get somebody that did it multiple times and they do it for us.
So that will be the xbox part we already had controller for over a year before we applied we're fully
playable with xbox controller even the bluetooth one so that's fun to play you can just plug in
your laptop and play avalon on your couch while you're looking on the big tv um second step for
us was Steam.
And that's a completely different game.
In a way, it's the same game,
but it's a completely different game by introducing to Steam
because it's a Web2 game
that has nothing to do with any Web3 space,
nor let's no NFT, no blockchain.
That is not welcome there,
and it's not welcome by the community.
Mixing communities is totally fine,
and helping Web3 community by having large Webing communities is totally fine. And helping web-free community by having
large web2 project is totally fine. But promoting web-free project while you are on Steam is going
to remove you as a publisher from the list. So I'm just letting everybody know if you ever go that
route, be very cautious what you're saying, what you're doing. They're not ready. Not that they
don't want that, but legally they're not ready. So that's what I'm trying to say. There's a bunch
of young great people there. They're not all like against nfts it's just not prepared for that and it's not
really needed by the size of communities they're they're the giantest store on earth and can you
have a million players in avalon in web free now how i would like someone to show me that, how you're going to get a million people to connect to your wallet.
That's not even doable,
despite of whatever the other chains are saying.
But you can get that in the Web 2 by proper approach to the MMO.
So that was this team.
We submitted, we prepared a new version.
We have a brand new beautiful website called avalonthegame.com.
You can go on that one.
This is our Web 2.
Game is almost exactly the same. It has a on that one. This is our Web 2. Game is almost exactly the same.
It has a little bit different mobs in the Web 2.
And it's more Templar-focused in the Web 2.
And in the Web 3, it's more Druid-focused.
And the Druid-gwards are a little bigger in the Web 3.
And why did I decide to do that?
Because I'm trying to reward both of the communities,
and I'm trying to mix them.
So players playing Web 3, already I know all of them are coming to play Web2.
And guys playing Web2 going to heard about ownership of items and different mobs in Web3
and will just go through the website, most likely sign up for the wallet and play the Web3 version.
That way we're kind of mixing the two communities the
best we can for now right so um steam approved listed you can go right now and type steam avalon
rise of the templars and wishlist us we are there with a beautiful page we have tons of wishes coming
um and we're very proud of that that we actually we are proud of that that we are on steam
in in us and MMO.
There's only two MMOs a year coming out, guys. People don't do these things. It's very,
very difficult to make that. So that was the answer to that one. There is another thing coming
that we're preparing and we're working with someone that I cannot say yet. Okay, I cannot,
but I can just say that I went and meet up with Sony
when I was in Northern California on GDC.
And I also meet up with Nintendo.
We have publisher for Nintendo coming.
But PS5 is coming.
PS5 for the Web 2 is coming.
This may take additional year to two years
once we're ready, once we perform it.
But we are getting a good
team from them getting the support um people in general like the coral for happy words there is
a large group of people that likes to play them so there is not a console not a platform that we
will shy away from it's it's it's all gonna happen just one by one not everything at the same time
so sony is coming and Nintendo is coming
these are just on the back burner
a little bit farther in
connecting this
two different types of the game
Web3 and Web2, same universe
different flavors a little bit
Web3 players own their gear, their homes
their dragons, everything
Web2 player gets slightly different storyline and some unique mobs.
And I believe in my heart that eventually both communities will interact and merge,
and depending on the regulation.
I hope that was enough explanation.
Yeah, Steam's a big nut to crack.
So kudos to you for that.
I'm really surprised and excited to hear about PS2
and then Nintendo also down the line.
That's very ambitious.
Very cool, Mario.
It's very cool.
Let me skip away from Web2 a little bit.
Let's talk about WAX, right?
So many people here were fans or supporters here.
What can the WAX fans look forward to
with upcoming NFT drops?
Is there any details that you can tease about that?
Well, I have some big news.
I don't know if I'm keeping it to the end,
but probably I'm going to keep the big news to the end
if you guys want to stick around.
Yeah, very much.
But I'm not going to give you in the middle,
and then you're going to be logging on.
If you missed the big news, you missed out.
So going back to WAax, just really quickly, 60 seconds on.
We've been with Wax since the beginning.
The Wax and the Wax Marketplace and the huge support from the Marketplace,
even back in the day when it had a new ownership.
The first collection approved.
The first chain
connected just a lot of sentiment in general with wax never any problems everything work
community says we have zero problems login buying selling moving working having fun like no friction
that has been wax for us um so we've been, very happy with how the chain works over the years, right?
So that's closing there.
What's new in wax for us?
New NFTs can be found in game, which means for those that play Davalon, congratulations
because your asset just became significantly more rare.
significantly more rare.
They will never be released again.
They will never be released again.
And there is a new set of helmets, armors, boots, globes, weapons coming up,
and they're dropping in the game from bosses, right?
And we designed some incredible, beautiful armor sets for werewolves specifically.
And we're using the wax burner where you can burn raid badges.
So every time you play raid in Avalon, you receive your badge, We're using the wax burner where you can burn raid badges.
So every time you play raid in Avalon, you receive your badge,
and then you collect these badges, and you can burn them.
And we're going to bring a lot of more different things that you can burn them into.
Right now you can get characters, epic and legendary knights,
with badges, but we're going to bring more cool stuff
that you can use in our burner.
Keep in mind that our Wax Knights of King Arthur,
they unlock lifetime access to Avalon,
so there's no passes anymore when you have character.
You can have it forever.
You can play it for 10 years and then have a level 1,000
and sell it out to someone,
which I think these characters with a lot of work
will create a lot of value for players,
if they so care for that.
And just to bring it up,
because there's been a lot of discussions always,
I say, just like it was in Star Wars,
once you have a fully developed character.
At least halfway developed.
With all the great weapons.
And created a bunch of quests.
And it's ready for hardcore raids.
There's always going to be a person in the world.
That wants to play the game.
But it's busy as a doctor, lawyer, whatever.
That will buy your 500 level character.
For shitty amounts of money.
And that happens in many many many games
and you guys know that so the work is valuable for you and you keep or retain it and that's the beauty in in nft space and and wax here that will let you level up make it strong find a buyer or
keep it and never lose the progress right and make another one so everybody
has their own um options here so we're launching um there's some things that i want to say i don't
know i'm gonna because we're launching a new ranking base reward system in wax and in polygon
and i would like to talk about the rewards like towards the end because that's the really big news for everybody uh that avalon now can produce some actual results for you um so i would like to move to
another question then i'm going to bring that one up towards the end
yeah um all right so next i've got here so we've seen some of planner mechanics in avalon already
um i had read recently that you're doing Bitcoin
rewards for high-level players and for tournament winners. So how do those systems work?
All right. So I guess I need to spill the beans a little bit. So I'll do players. I'm not going
to say what we're exactly doing, but for now, I'm going to say how the players qualify for those
rewards. So to enter more most
of the challenges in avalon you will need avalon game pass the yearly one don't focus on the
monthly you can just get the early one but to complete in the high tire tournaments and the
elite leather boards you will need nft based character so you have to own a character like knight or druid or or inquisitor um and then
you can participate in these more um you know elite letter boards it's a skill based grind based
and just with the right amount of madness in your heart i guess
um so the way we're gonna do that is gonna be this we're launching a ranking based reward system
that system is going to be weekly monthly and yearly and there's going to be a weekly winners
every sunday i would say probably monday morning every at the end of the month on the first
and at the end of the year on the first and this will be based on the level raid activity and social votes like this guy helped me
give him a heart for example which which means you're going to be able to social vote players
in the game so if they are very helpful in a game you're gonna every player is gonna have a sign
one vote a week per player and you can vote it to your favorite players while you play with them
right that really really helps it shows you who's really helpful in a game not many games have that system
and top three players in each bracket will win bitcoin in polygon chain you guys are connected
with polygon and wax reward equal to the value of the bitcoin on wax chain and now how much of it i cannot say but it's not the whole bitcoin
but we have a certain um amount of cash value prepared for these rewards and we're trying to
do it based on activity your highest your highest level in the game so basically mondaycom and who
put the most work and who is the highest level in a game at this
stage boom we have it who um killed the most orcs in the raids who did the most raids the first three
received rewards right and then who got the most hearts from the players for helping them that
particular guy he receives the reward and these will be dropped directly to your wallet but it
will be announced to the community so community knows what's happening um that was needed we we just didn't have um a time in working
on anything else to prepare these i think it's very exciting for people that want to dedicate time
um specifically me as i really like bitcoin um i would like this to be a reward versus anything
else or equivalent in wax because we can do it differently.
I think it's pretty exciting.
Now you can dedicate your time and get something good out of it.
And I think, honestly, we're still discussing with team.
We think the largest reward that we will have on weekly, monthly, and yearly,
it's going to be the social votes.
So if the players received the highest amount of social votes,
we think someone that contributes to community and the gameplay
and it's helpful and welcome,
these people should get the highest rewards.
Well, I hope that that was a lot of answers to that question.
No, that's good.
I really like the idea especially
with the rewarding your social the social votes the people who are welcoming onboarding reaching
out um doing almost like an ambassadorship is um can get rewarded that way and i think that's really
cool it's easy to verify and um it's easy to avoid bots that way because you really can confirm if other players say they voted.
So that's quite easy for us.
So that's why we decided
that this one would be the most valuable,
not only socially,
but easy to prevent bots in general.
Let me go to this one.
So recently you've been, like we talked earlier, or you spoke earlier, like pushing updates to the game, new user interfaces, like for inventory. You've had control support for a long time. You've been tweaking raids. So lots of updates.
most maybe impactful update you say maybe for user experience or do you want to maybe share a little
bit about i saw i saw a tweet let me see if i can find it you have a tweet about some of the music
that you're adding to avalon 2 would you want to maybe talk just a little bit about that oh well
so the well the music has been a big part we're working with leonardo furora that it's a composer
for multiple big movies that that uh that he composer for multiple big movies that he did, like really big movies.
And he also did Final Fantasy XIV.
He did a lot of soundtracks for a lot of big games.
We've been with Leonardo for three years already.
When we started, and you can go to our YouTube channel, and two of the main teams for the game were recorded with European Orchestra,
which is 130 musicians and 25 people choir.
So very professional, very large approach to music,
very, I don't know, Lord of the Rings,
Star Wars style, like cinematic,
like just really movie-like.
That's what we want in a game we do not want to
spend the last of our dollars on cinematics um we would spend a lot of on the music and the reason
the reason i'm i'm i'm more from music is it really touches your soul more than a cinematic
that you skip through and forget and in a year
you don't remember but you always remember the song from game of thrones right or from lord of
the rings you remember it when you're 40 years old and you'll never remember the cinematic that
was in the game and um i'm just like that i want to touch that that that memory part in in all the
players to remember the music so So we bring it out.
It's amazing.
I mean, you guys seen the samples.
All the music in the game, we hear nothing but great, great opinion from players.
Not like everybody plays with music, but they play to a certain point.
When they don't love it, they make it more quiet or they shut it off.
Everybody is like that.
But everybody wants to hear them.
We're going to release a soundtrack to Avalon
in downloadable purchasable form right it could be an NFT in the future it could be just regular
download through Steam but something that you can download to your phone and play it in your car
and then just remember all the cool stuff that you're doing so music a huge thing Leonardo I'm
an incredible person I recommend going to our
website clicking on the bottom finding leonardo going to his websites look at the project that he
does extremely talented currently moved to united states and getting some incredible jobs
um really like the guy a good person too and just there's not a lot of people like that guys like
that be to be so talented in creating orchestral music.
Not a lot, maybe 40, 50 people across the globe.
So we're very happy that we have him
and his mentor is actually the guy
that did Lord of the Rings music.
So really cool.
Every level has a separate tune, separate music.
Every raid has a separate music.
And some of these trailers that you see on our Twitter,
we also use Leonardo trucks.
Very proud of all that stuff.
So I answered on the music.
Was that the follow-up question?
If there was something else?
No, that was the question.
You already answered my questions about the UI earlier.
So I saw this last night when I was doing a screening.
I posted the tweet behind the screen's tweet
up to the top of the space so everyone could check it out um my next question i think it'll be a wax one again
um wax staking was uh uh present in avalon back in the in the alpha um how does staking fit into
the current gameplay loop so huh so we never we never had actual staking of anything in a game we never staked we never
staked nfts but however what you may say is maybe wombat did it because we are connected to wombat
and you can stake nfts uh so we as a company don't do right? We don't create revenues or anything from staking or XP gain.
But if you have NFTs in WAX from Avalon,
you can use them in Wombat to gain Wombat coin
and Wombat XP points and all that.
So this is our partner that does the staking, right?
We don't do that.
They do it.
I would recommend everybody to go to the Wombat website
and find Avalon and read what can you do with...
But yeah, you can put a bunch of NFTs and stake them and they produce some kind of tokens, Wombat token.
So that's something that...
There's tons of low-end NFTs that people are messing up in our marketplace that you can stake.
So that's the only way.
That's the only way of staking.
We don't do that for legal reasons.
And this is a company in Europe that does that with our material.
So that's something that I want to clarify so everybody understands.
But just so you guys know, I want to show something exciting here.
Because this staking, I want to say something about what's coming to avalon that i didn't
mention and it's really really cool um a couple things the cooking system now will require fuel
like in other games so find the wood bring the wood and cook and make it hot and cook better
meals that's one thing um we are finishing raid number four which
is the most advanced raid we did and what i'm saying guys our raids are like in destiny if
you ever played destiny rates please take a look at them if you didn't um you go down with the team
you have different levels it's not. It has different difficulty of bosses,
and it's not pinata where you come around the boss
and you smash him until he explodes with things.
It's more of a planning who you put first,
who protects your back.
We're creating this Raid 4 that we're going to put.
We just presented Necromancer,
which is one of our bosses in Raid 4.
He's in our X.
Things are going to change a little bit. The more
difficult, it's a giant cave raid
that will probably take about an hour to finish
for players. And it has a historical
spin-off, and it has
treasure at the end of it, and it teleports
you to the gates of time. I mean, it's
really fun to create these for people
and now throw in a small group of testers. So expect a really good rate for towards the end of the beta but the one
of the coolest thing that i always wanted to bring to this game was alchemy and herbalism so mixing
different potions for those of you that that like to be in a druid or witch witchcraft um in creating
random potions or growing different herbs mixing them or witchcraft and creating random potions
or growing different herbs,
mixing them together
and then mixing them into potions
and then create something out of that
and give it to your friend to drink.
And basically, hey, John, my beautiful Viking,
I just made this beautiful brew last night
and I want you to try it.
It smells really good.
And then player takes it from you and they try it and then we hide random effects behind those so the player can explode in a million
little pieces or maybe he starts screaming and their head falls off or maybe they just become
superhuman or turn into a rabbit so we're adding um a lot of these different random effects behind what you will craft
in your alchemy and herbalism lab
that it's in hunting grounds.
We just don't take RPG too seriously.
We want people to laugh and have a good time
and just enjoy it.
Be relaxed after you come off the hard day of work.
So that would be the update.
I think it'd be, I really like the surprise factor, the hidden surprise, the potions.
You know, sometimes things go wrong when you're making a potion. That's pretty cool.
We have tons of good animations. They're going to be, they will die of starvation or shrink,
will become really big, very little full seconds. A lot of stuff that you'll be guys recording and laughing on the screen i'm excited to see some of that um all right so if you're
listening below we've got about 20 minutes left i'm getting towards the end of my questions um
vehicle i see your your hand up i'll bring you up once i'm done with mine you can ask your questions
to avalon um if you've got something you're curious about go ahead and start thinking about
your questions and we'll raise you up when we get towards,
when I finish up mine.
My next one, so like, so you've mentioned
a couple of things here.
Eventually like with big features, right?
Cross-platform play, seasonal content.
And like to me, especially like the season,
the player run settlements.
What part of the roadmap are you most excited for right now
and i'll have a follow-up about the settlements um well that depends if it's on the game building or
general project so we are preparing couple um we're running a huge event. We just...
I didn't publish that yet,
but we just signed up with Exola as a publisher,
which is one of the largest
back-end providers of services in the United States
after Steam and one of the largest gaming provider services,
store, creator, and publisher in the world.
Extremely professional.
So that is for us, I'm excited for that a lot because that gives us access to,
they have all the streamers in the world
that are the most reliable and trustworthy
and profitable for projects, but also good for communities.
They're all signed with Xolo, right? and our campaigns are going to run with them so you're going to see an insane amount
this year towards probably the end of the year mid-year of people talking about us right you're
going to see tons of that and i'm talking about accounts that you know have actual following top
of the line following and if they they talk shit, that's fine,
as long as they talk about us, right?
So they're going to be running the campaign.
So that's, I'm really, personally,
that's what I'm excited about,
is telling the world that we exist.
Right now, people just know that there is some game
somewhere out there in Web3 that does some kind of MMO,
probably is going to shut down next year.
That's what people will tell you.
They have no idea what we're doing.
So we're going to bring the work.
Now, in the development, what I'm the most excited is,
I mean, also personally, it's the raid number four.
I'm not going to lie here.
This is what I'm excited just because raids is where we spend nights
and have fun with players and getting drunk in the front of keyboard.
I'm not recommending getting drunk.
Drinking your favorite beverage of choice that makes you happy whatever that is um and that's where we have the most time as a community fun so rates are fun and exploring is fun that's
for me what i'm excited the team is excited of the most of the um their hard work on coding which is get the players to test
um the new inventory system so that's what the team i prefer rates and i think committee is
waiting for rate like they can't wait um when it comes to the question you had about um settlements
our settlements didn't really change much one of the big things that we added that
everybody wants and was waiting for is the bed system where you can go sleep in your bed,
in your home that you own, and you can wake up in it. And that's where it saves your location.
And we have multiple players that own multiple homes in different villages across the island.
And they can just go there and fall asleep in their bed
and wake up fully recovered and be saved there
when they come back the next day.
We were really, players were really asking for that.
We were working on the system.
It's an early version of it.
I'm sure you may wake up on the roof
or you may wake up in the basement.
There's going to be some adjustments as usual,
but this gives you now access to all your properties
and you can save your spots
and you don't need to launch the game from the beginning as usual that was so that is that stuff
i don't want to talk about how the sediments work because this is just a space for that for one hour
it's huge i mean i can say 90 of the businesses are sold out in a game owned by guilds of private people.
75% or 80% of homes are sold out in the first and the second island.
We're going to be launching hunting grounds farms that are going to be for sale.
And it's going to be very little of them.
And we are not planning on multiplayer sharing of properties because a lot of people were asking about that
we allowed the owner to the door code to be shared with up to four friend players
but there's not going to be 50 owners of a one home to save server space i rather expand the
lands so that's that's one of our things um i'm just looking at the questions that you have.
There's something else.
Settlements currently allow players and guilds to build towns,
assign roles, right?
Set taxes.
So you can collect taxes on all the businesses in your town
if you own the temple.
Control trade.
Own the actual building.
And you can also be voted to the roles of the lord or sir by
by your community and we have multiple lords in the game multiple sirs um so it's not really
dow in any way but um just more swords in this game than spreadsheets that's kind of like i see
it for everybody just Just have fun.
Don't count every single coin or everything there.
I can also bring up that our lords that own the temples,
they received a drop of a home every month.
Towards the end of the month, they're receiving a home for two years.
And we have incredibly warm and giving people
that are supporting the players that don't have the
money for home or would like to live in a village and support it with resources.
And our lords have been giving these NFTs to people.
And these are not joke NFTs.
Some of them are $500.
So we've seen a lot of giving going on within the community.
And when the Amazon Guild came into play us, they couldn't believe how good the community is.
And that it's important that we cure here,
not takers from the project, but givers and people that share.
I hope that was a good explanation.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's almost exactly what I was trying
to get to the heart of.
It kind of reminds me, I don't know, when I first read about it,
it kind of reminded me of Dark Age of Camelot, I want to say.
I'm stretching my brain as far back as I can go to try and remember what I was playing as a kid.
But it kind of had, I liked that city building, working together, that community building.
I almost wondered, too, if later on there might be wars between different towns,
because it kind of sets it up for that if you've got everybody in one town or like city states i don't
know if that kind of thing is happening around those things but i don't know it seems pretty
cool to me so so so really quickly um right now we don't have a guild wars we're not guild wars i
wish we had this money to be guild wars. We have a PvP arenas.
We have enabled PvP in a game.
So guys, we're fun.
You can enable your PvP and run around,
and maybe there's another player that's going to enable PvP
and it's going to bust your ass from behind
because it's not fair play here.
Or you're going to be the one that's going to kill
a bunch of PvP runnings around the mob.
We have that system if people want to do that.
We have Arena.
When you enter to correct golden eggs,
then you can then exchange for super powerful weapons.
And in that Arena, everybody's PvP.
So it's free for all.
So we have that, and we have the giant mob that we prepared,
but the systems are not ready yet,
which is going to be defense of the castle and attack of the castle right so the gates open and the teams
run in and clears up all the rooms and if they take it then the guild owns the castle for a week
right and they can then produce a certain amount of tokens in game and stuff from the castle we
have the mob players already played it they spent a couple weeks in it we're adjusting it it did
huge guys i wish i had more money i wish i had tons of money i will hire better people and and and always when i talk to
players like our money goes into the fun gameplay and making sure when when you come back from work
and you had a rough day and you want to sit in the front of a computer you dare to have a good time
and that was always my goal of this game was not the goal what kind of token we're there to have a good time. And that was always my goal of this game. It was not the goal, what kind of token we're going to launch on?
If it's going to 10x and then it's going to go down to minus 8x.
That was never even the subject here.
It was community support, role of the NFTs in the actual game,
and above everything, fun gameplay.
Like above everything.
Like not an annoying MMO.
And I know a lot of people talk to
me like i don't want 50 menus i don't want 32 items to create one item i don't want to chop
trees i don't want to fall apart rocks this is the same shit for the last 20 years i don't want
that people don't have time these days we're busy right if we want to come 45 minutes go right so
that's how we designed the game easy pick pickups, easy transportation, easy mixing, and fun while you're playing.
So don't spend millions of hours on menus.
I'm fighting with coders nonstop.
If it takes more than three seconds, I don't want it in a game.
Click, done.
Click, done.
Move forward.
And that's it.
So I hope that was a good answer.
I probably missed something.
No, you're good.
That's really good. I think you've a good answer. I probably missed something. No, you're good. That's really good.
I think you've answered almost everything I wanted to ask today.
I know you've been waiting all space to come up and ask a question.
So I'm going to bring him up and he can ask this question to you.
And then I think we will be ready.
I think we'll be right at about time.
We'll close space down.
Ezekiel, I think Ezekiel is coming up. Ezekiel, welcome to Wax Wednesday.
Good to see you. What's your question for Marius?
And the question is... Don't forget to unmute your mic.
I'm going to crush it.
We're gonna crush it.
Zico, I think you're still muted.
It's this button, the left bottom corner.
Oh, he knows.
He talks a lot in spaces.
I think he's probably muted.
This is going to be, we're going to chalk this up to X being X.
No problem at all. I know how that is sometimes. I think it's probably, this is gonna be, this is, we're gonna chalk this up to X, B and X.
No problem at all. I know how that is sometimes I can't even click or find it
because they adding bunch of stuff.
Well, I guess this is,
I'm gonna chalk this one up to technical difficulties.
If he jumps in, he can jump in.
If anybody else has any questions, consumer break, anyone here,
Crystal, anybody that I know, just throw in some questions.
Raise your hand.
I'm always happy to answer questions and hear from people what they think
and what they're afraid of or what they're worried about.
The first question for sure is going to come up. It's going to be, we're in the beta, when the beta,
when players can come.
So my answer is going to be, I don't know, I don't know,
I don't know, I don't know.
That's the answer.
We are currently in the face of internal team testing of beta.
So the beta has been published internally.
We have a small group of very advanced players that plays with us.
They will get it probably this Friday.
And then they will find bunch of bugs.
So we're going to start playing, I would say,
several months until beta is going to launch.
We are now moving into Kickstarter campaign for the web
to get more awareness. We are moving moving into Kickstarter campaign for the web to get more awareness.
We are moving to Exola campaign. We are moving to Lurkit campaign. We're trying to build
tens of thousands of wishlists for Amazon on Steam. And that helps everybody in the web
two space and the web three space. The biggest we get, oh, I see his microphone is on now.
and the web free space the biggest we get but oh i see his microphone is on now so um so our goal
is spread the news and that's going to be this whole year uh we're spreading the news i think
ezekiel is ready go ahead ezekiel what's your question for mario welcome oh you uh i don't
have any much questions i just came around you know it has been a nice place since the last one
i was just want to say gm to my friends on the space i see chrystalla i see you preso i see you by rowing my bro i see consumer

on what's and we just keep on building our walls you'll be sure to you guys you are that i don't
have much to say for now. Thank you, guys.
Thanks for the quiz, Sirico.
All right.
It's about that time.
I don't want to push too far in to consume the break space.
You know, the NFTopia space is kind of up right after this one.
So I think that will be our time today.
Everyone, let's send a huge thank you to Marius and Danu Games team
for developing and joining us today
giving us a look at what's ahead for Avalon
if you haven't already make sure to follow Danu Games
to stay updated for what's next on Avalon
you can also visit their Discord to learn more and join the community
Marius before we wrap up are there any final thoughts
do you want to mention again the lucrative offer
that we kind of hinted at the cat out of the bag earlier before we break for the day?
So that lucrative offer that I mentioned was the rewards that are going to come
in the form of BTC and WAX for the top players on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
That was the thing.
But I want everybody to join Discord, chat with us, maybe request a little pass.
We can give you the weekly pass, for example,
play the game a little bit, try it out,
and stay in touch with us through all our socials.
Follow the YouTube channel when you see all the developments there.
Follow the X, but you already do, I'm assuming,
and definitely wishlist us on the Steam.
And the good news is for everybody that owns the Pass and the Web3,
that that includes a key access to Steam.
So two games in one if you are supporting us in Wax, for example.
Thank you again for joining me.
Thank you for organizing.
And thank you for listening to me for the whole hour.
I really appreciate that.
It was our pleasure, Marius.
All right, so before we close out,
let me give a few quick community shout outs.
So are you looking to embrace your inner hustle
or check out the hustle.io?
