Good morning.
Good morning.
Happy Wax Wednesday.
We'll get started in just a second.
Hope you're all doing well. Thank you. so
we got quite a few people streaming in the right this morning what's up sully what's up broken Good morning. Happy Wednesday, everybody.
Good morning, Derek. Good morning. All right, I think we're going to get started.
Now we're going to have a little bit of an open mic today. So if you want to share what you're
doing art-wise, request the mic. Come on up. I'd love to hear what you're building, what
you're working on. So yeah. I'll give a little bit more of an official intro here in just a sec.
All right.
All right.
So good morning, Wax Blockchain.
I'm Tommy from Wax.
Thank you, everybody, for joining me today. We're kicking off Wax Wednesday. It's June. It's another month down in the bag. 2025 is moving forward on all cylinders. But this week I wanted to kind of maybe just relax a little bit, open the floor to our artists who have been working diligently throughout the year.
year um so today like i said it'll be an open mic space no strict agenda um a chance to come up
share what you've got what you've been working on and uh maybe talk a little bit about what you've
been experimenting with if it's uh a new style maybe you're doing a new medium or maybe you're
doing some new tech playing with some new tech that uh you really want to showcase off or talk
about anyway request the request to build or request the microphone i'll bring you on up you can talk
about um what you're doing we'd love to hear from you um and as always a quick reminder nothing said
here is financial advice this is a space to connect share support you know um share creative
energy that's in the wax blockchain so if you haven't already please reshare the space tag
your favorite wax artist and invite them to share what they're working on um already invited up here um cxc world good morning how are you good morning i'm wonderful thanks for having
me on yeah welcome you want to give us an up of a brief introduction for those who aren't familiar
with cxc world yet sure so we're a og wax app we We were one of the first 10 swap pools on Alcor opened with our tokens.
We've been on WAX since 2021.
And what we are is a map of music.
So we started out actually on a different blockchain, on Steemit.
And we came over to WAX in 2021.
We really love the resource model and sort of the
opportunities here as well and some key things that we have on wax blockchain is number one we
have media nft standards as well as we have tools to help you mint different types of media nfts
not just music but we are focused on. These just make it easier to set up
your collection so you don't forget any valuable fields that other applications can use. And we are
one of those applications. So in addition to providing these NFT standards, we have our map
and that is at cxc.world if you want to check it out. We have a mix of both
Web2 and Web3 music. So you can put your WAX NFTs there if they're music NFTs. All you got to do is
double click to add it. And then the final thing that we have on WAX is we actually have our upvotes.
We recently, just this year, released our tokenized upvotes with the Blux
token. So you can get to the top of our localized charts either through organically finding your
audience or you can just buy some Blux tokens and upvote yourself to the top.
Awesome. Now, one thing that strikes me right away when i look at the map of the world is you've got
um different docs these are all the different locations of where this music is uploaded from
or is this where the um recorder is or where it was recorded it should be where it's recorded i
mean obviously we're depending on the users to provide accurate information, but we actually find most of our artists from reaching out on Reddit.
So I think that a lot of the music is added by the artists themselves.
So it should be fairly accurate.
And then what is the some of them?
I see a couple of different designs.
There's donuts, big dots, small dots.
How does it be?
What's the legend of how to
read this map sure so as far as size goes that's just based on how many upvotes it gets and there's
also like a you can filter by time or location using the the time icon and then the search icon
in the top left and then the color of the dot, like the outside
ring, if you're seeing it as a donut, once it gets bigger, it looks like a donut. But the color of
the outside ring or the entire dot is the genre. And then you also have the list of genres up at
the top left. And then the inner color. So if it gets big enough to have an inside that color is based on the mood
awesome um anything anything new and exciting coming up um they haven't mentioned yet already
you want to share with uh our folks listening um well it's not entirely wax related but we're
coming to we're sort of doing another integration autonomy blockchain.
So I built a custom bridge for that because it's kind of difficult to get the WAX team to work with other people to use their bridge.
So I just wrote a smart contract to build my own bridge, and that's going to let our token be bridged onto their chain. And then eventually we're going to open source that bridge so that we can hopefully have a little bit more collaboration between Antelope blockchains.
Other than that sort of technical side, we're releasing artist programs.
So we're going to have two programs.
One is Ambassador of Music and the other is patron of music. So ambassadors are fans
and we want them to represent their area. So we do have a map that has almost 4,000 different
individualized top chart competitions going on at the same time. And this is a way that people can
take charge of their area, go out and find musicians that want to be on the map and really serve as that ambassador, serve as that connection.
And at the same time, you know, they get the status of being the person in charge of their local area.
And then on the other side, we have the patron of music.
And this is for musical artists that instead of like representing other artists, they're allowing the location to represent them.
And we'll eventually have like a directory of all these ambassadors and all these patrons of music.
And that's about all we got.
So thank you for having me on.
having me on and I look forward to listening to what everyone else has. If you want to check out
And I look forward to listening to what everyone else has.
the tools and make your own NFT, you can use tools.cxc.world. And of course, our main map
is cxc.world. And yeah, look for us on Telegram and you can find all the links right here on our
Twitter. Thanks, CXC. Excited to see how you grow grow from here this is a really cool interactive map
well man thanks you thanks for having us and i'm glad you're enjoying it
all right let me also introduce uh aj for aj tunes um to the stage aj welcome to the stage
we had you on a couple uh maybe a couple months ago um how are you man hello can you hear me all guys just
checking my mic yeah you sound great yeah so it's really great having you all again i'm super excited
to talk about my some stuffs don't have such so much crazy things going on but growing slowly
and i just want to give a good news because I'm so happy from this evening. I just
got a follow back from Garbage Friends
if you don't know the collection
So I just want to say
this was the best day and
also I'm working on the Elemental Souls
it's another blockchain not a
wax blockchain thing. Not promoting
just saying that my works are going on.
And I'm also creating some contents for my people to just enjoy and make them smile.
And also the best thing, I've started with 3D and really enjoying the works I'm making.
And soon I'm going to start with 3D characters.
And after that, I'm going to go for 3D animation, character animation, motion animation
and stuff. In basic thing, in simple way, I'm just growing day by day, day by day just to find
and how much I can improve myself, nothing else. That's really great to hear AJ. I've seen
more than a couple of your 3D works. What is it that you like?
Or maybe I should ask you,
is there anything that you like better when you're working in 3D
versus what you're working on
when you make 2Ds art?
Actually, I'll say I actually enjoy both things,
but I don't go for 3D directly.
Just because I've studied anatomy
and for the characters
it's a basic level to go with the 2D but I really enjoy both the things
because both the you can say the system and how they align everything is
really different from the 2D and 3D because 3D is all about modeling three
dimensions lighting and rendering but where the 2D comes it's all about modeling three dimensions lighting and rendering but where the 2d comes it's all about
designing and making the uh character or the any stuff you make just to pop out and give a glance
that it's in 2d but it feels like 3d so 3d is another concept and 2d is another concept so i
just enjoy both learning at the same time so i can't say i really uh that main focus is on my 2d or 3d i just want
to be uh my at you can say a good level at both the things so i can work in brick projects and
i can work solely if anything comes around like i uh you can say uh as a creator artist or uh you
can say uh director of an artist and stuff means i can manage a whole
artist team and all stuff so i should know everything and i should do everything
do you think um when you try to become like a master of everything and know how to do everything
does it do you think the quality sometimes dips or is there a way or do you have is there a special sauce to maintain that um quality like throughout i know for myself um
if i try to do too much at once um usually um i can't keep all the plates spinning in the air so
like what's what's your uh take on that yeah uh yeah this is a really a thing uh that comes to my
mind but it hasn't affected me in my quality because there is a reason that whenever you get excited while making something or you are passionate about making something.
Like cartoons are my passions.
Like cartoon and game characters are my special and core skills and core thing that I will never get bored of.
But if I do against of this something like that is more realistic.
More something in my same field. Even in the 2d or in the 3d we both we are talking about both things so if the passion it isn't passionate like
it's not much you are working just for money then you'll eventually get bored
and you will mess up in the quality either and that or even whatever things
you are doing so I'll say go slow go slow for the first time if
you are if you are in gotin getting any quality times or quality things at the thing if you can
just push forward just cue it so make it give give it some time i'll say give it some time don't rush
or anything like in any works it's not about just an artist but in every real life
day-to-day life we have to go through many things so i'll just say if something isn't happening at
that moment or it isn't satisfied with the output you have got so just keep trying or just leave
it for some time and just give it time to just you to assemble by themselves or you can just have a fresh mind again
and you can do it if you rush it then eventually you'll have some quality you can say downgrading
the qualities i think that's really good advice something you said early about passion um it's
it's a saying i've heard like if you love you do, you will never work a day in your life.
I think that if you're really, like you said, if you're really passionate, it definitely comes through in everything that you do.
Is there, do you ever struggle with working on maybe like a piece?
Maybe because like you're, I want to say like struggle is like making a piece like almost like a piece maybe because like you're i want to say like struggle it's like
making your um a piece like a like almost like a perfectionist i've got to get everything has
to be just exactly so um or is it is it easy for you like when you're when it's done it's
done cooking it's easy for you just to put it down and leave it alone no no no no this this is
this is a really good question actually recently it happened to me. I actually did 3D in my, you can say a year ago
and I just stopped making the stuffs.
And again, I started from the scratch, like just a noby,
but I catched it for fastly, just because I did it again.
I know the basics and all stuff.
But while creating anything before like 2D and stuff,
so I even, I'd never created any of the content to make,
like specially to make for my followers
or all the community who follows me and stuff.
So eventually I come to a stage where I have an idea,
but I don't know what to do.
Like if I want to go for the trend
or I just want to make for an example,
I want to go further and make something
on Elon Musk so as an artist I have to think a lot just because that people should laugh because
Elon Musk is a really a great personality so the people to make him smile I have to make something
that is related to it and when I brainstorm all this stuff I really got messed up while brainstorming
actually it takes me time I actually don't take time while building any stuff because I know the
tools very well and I mean you can say I'm expert in what my tools I use but while brainstorming
I really need some time to you know align ideas properly, where the stuff should be and what should be the most focal point so that the people just get attracted to.
So this is the thing. I can say it takes me time to build it up.
to build it up. If you can just see my banner, I think it's been two years I'm
thinking about my banner that I just want a proper banner that visualizes
myself even it's not a personality but it's a major thing that all the artists
should have. So at last I got my banner done.
Ed, that's great stuff and I like the mini keyboard. I think I
told you that in DM privately as well.
But I think it's a really good touch.
Yeah, it's really great actually.
And I just love how people just feedback me for my art actually.
And thanks a lot.
And however you are giving me support, in way it is it doesn't matter
in anything but it matters a lot to me because engagement that keeps me alive actually
to do keep forwarding keep keep living and you know keep just moving forward and do the stuff
um i wanted to ask though this also to um this next and, also CXC World. Sometimes we talk about collectors and utility,
and I think maybe you mentioned a little bit there, AJ. But how much are you thinking about,
when you're doing an NFT collection, an art collection, how much are you thinking about
the utility? Are you thinking about that actively while you're doing it? Or are you trying to figure out the art first, figure out the utility
later? And then like to CXC, you mentioned, I think you mentioned, if I heard you correctly,
your NFT standards is almost like helps you remind the artists of things that they may think
about. I want to hear from AJ and then from you, like, is there, was that a collaboration with
artists that you built or is that something you saw and just tried to fill on the space. So AJ, how much do you think about utility and stuff?
along i see very much one with the utility even if the art doesn't have anything it's just a dot
on a black paper it can be too much just because of a utility but also a good figure and a good
thing that is attracted attractive or you can say a showcase so but it doesn't have a utility the
people buy both of them just because once one is the buyer who who loves the collection of the art who loves to collect the art and store it
just for the you can say the own satisfaction
or you can say a passion or a hobby to collect the art
but another side if you see as a daily business purpose or commercial purpose
in the life so I think NFT should have a utility
and also it should have a thing
a focal point or you can say attractiveness that should even attract the people who loves
to collect the art and also attract the people who are looking for the utility and want to
earn with that art actually. So I'll say I think about utility much more because whenever I just create an art collection
mostly people have come to me for normally for something you can say just collect the art and make money and just split it out.
I've even done that because eventually I am an artist I also need to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to learn to babies you should have a utility like make it into a merchandise toys or make it like a small animation thing
so that the people just find it worth it while buying it
not just buying and putting it to scrap and after that just burn it
like it never existed
so I'll say utility matters a lot
and also I'll say keep the piece so clean
that people who doesn't want to burn it so they can keep growth.
Good insights. And then CXE, to the piece about the standard, was that something that you kind
of filled a place as something that was asked for as a collab? How did that come about?
Yeah, so it's really like right on point with what we're talking about in terms of utility and what AJ mentioned of forward compatibility.
My goal with creating the standard was, number one, just take all the thinking out of creating a music NFT collection. And number two is utilizing these metadata fields
to be able to add utility, right?
So not necessarily granting utility
just by throwing in a metadata field,
but offering like a door
so that if a significant amount of collections
start using these,
that an app like mine or a future app could use it.
So for example, we have a licensing field within our standards.
That's like just a simple way that you can define any utility, right?
So now you have an asset that is, you know, you can say, okay,
well, you can use these stems, which are one of the other metadata fields as, you know,
in your future product. Another thing that we're really excited about, and really the reason we
built the map is, is the geolocation aspect. So we have a field within the metadata that's your
nation. And if you're using like the standard three digit code, any programmer or even a smart
contract can go in and read that field and then create filtering based upon like what nation you're in or something like that. So yeah, our goals with the metadata
standard was like, okay, number one, let's make it easy for people so they don't have to sit and
think about, okay, well, do I want to put a format field or do I want to put a genre field, all this
stuff. Through our tools, like all of the fields that we offer are just show up there.
And then you can sort of click on or click off the different fields that you want. And then
looking forward, like you can, we can hopefully like if a significant amount of people use it,
great. Then everybody knows to expect that nation field in these nfts and we
start to open up not just for our app or not just for any specific collection but from a marketplace
perspective a way for them to assign meaning to an nft and then provide utility that we can't even think of from there.
I like how it's left open-ended because like I'll, when I've made a couple NFTs, I'm not
by any means good at it or think of all the things, but there's always that if you've made
NFTs, especially on wax, or at least my experience is you'll get it all set up
and then you've minted and you've got it
and then you remember something at the end
and you're like, oh shoot,
I should have done this,
I should have said that.
I like how it's open-ended too.
So it's not constrained,
it has the ability to grow.
Yeah, totally.
All right.
Let me also,
we have a Pantheon invited to come up to the stage
and they have another checklist as well
to kind of combat some of the same thing
I kind of posted up there
and then we'll let them come up
and talk about it in just a moment.
So Twitter
Okay. moment so Twitter behaves I tried sending the invite directly panziant all right twitter well it's what's being difficult um try requesting it again uh pantheon let me bring you back and i'll try to bring it back up
oh there it goes there it goes there it goes
just as i said it's not gonna work it works so thank you hey welcome to the stage pantheon
yeah can you guys i think it was i was uh multi-devicing so i probably i broke twitter you sound good you're. Yeah, thanks for posting that blueprint up there, Tommy.
I think all the points that AJ had were great.
I just wanted to say real quick, I am not an artist.
I did invite the Pantheon artists here.
I don't know if they're going to make it since it was kind of last minute.
But I do want to announce something very exciting.
As you know, all of the cards in Pantheon are NFTs.
They're all hand-drawn, and we just closed our community poll
where all of the collectors decided on the next set of cards,
what religion that's going to be.
So I am really pumped to announce that we're
going to start artwork on the Norse set of gods. So like Thor, Odin, Freya, Loki, all of those
things. So it's going to be a lot of fun. And I'm really excited to see what the artists come up
with on that. As far as what you were asking about the utility and how we plan it,
we are going to have new abilities for these cards.
So that's kind of planned ahead of time.
But I like giving the artists a lot of creative freedom
so they can really develop that high-quality artwork
that people expect from Pantheon.
That's all I got.
I am really excited to hear you say
that it's the Norse Pantheon.
That's the next one that's featured.
The art that came through with the Greek
were really, really cool.
I think the Norse ones are gonna be even better.
Odin is probably one of my favorites.
So I'm really, someone definitely, I like more than anyone in the Greek. So I'm excited to see how those come out.
Very cool stuff. Anthony, thank you so much.
Yeah. Thanks for, thanks for letting me, letting me grab the mic. If anybody else has questions
or anything, you know, check us out, playpantheon.com. I did post that blueprint
that is kind of a free resource for collectors or creators, just a little checklist that we
went through with the WAX team on how to make sure your collection stands out and how to
kind of avoid rug pulls. Like, I really liked aj's point that sometimes art can just be art for art's
sake it doesn't have to have the utility right um but if they're nfts and they're part of a
larger business plan or a game then they probably do need it i since they're trading like pantheon
specifically are trading cards i think trading cards just have inherent utility by nature since they're cards that you can collect, you can trade, you can play with them usually, even baseball cards, stuff like that.
But yeah, anybody in the audience, feel free to check out that guide, free download, and you know where to find us in the meantime.
free download and you know where to find us in the meantime.
thanks so much,
And thank you for dropping that news here.
I was really,
I'm really excited.
Thank you so much for honoring us with that.
Very cool.
All right.
Let me also welcome.
What up though?
Break man.
Welcome to our space.
How are you?
I'm muted. Ooh. What up though. How goes it? Happy Wax Wednesday.
Happy Wax Wednesday. I'm excited to, I was watching you stream a little bit earlier on Twitch,
watching the marble race, watching some of the cart racing. Very, very fun. It looked like you're
almost getting, it almost felt like you were starting to train for a marathon, as I know NFT, NFTopia is coming up in a couple of months.
So what's going on in your neck of the woods?
That's right. Yeah, we're playing racing. I guess the introverts started their carts today.
I'll play more of that later, too. I'm on Twitch right now. Let's go. We do it every Wednesday.
I always got stuff happening here, huh? Yeah, we're getting ready for an Enftopia
convention. The options are on the site. If anybody wants to get boothed up, they're still
available. We'd really love to have you. If you go to enftopia.weebly.com, you'll see info.
Yeah, but I guess I'm an artist too. I also work with an artist. So if you look at Consumer Break's collection,
it's hybrid creatures. I have creature trading cards,
which it's a little different from Consumer Break brand,
When I started the collection,
I already had a game without NFTs.
And I decided to launch the collection with that name
and then allow me to do other things in the future
of which I've done collabs
pretty much just collabs plus the hybrid creatures but basically how that started was
I wanted to release a collection to go with my game but instead of just having uh like coins and
utility based only which is basically like a picture of a coin or something or a badge to
give out for for people on the app.
I wanted to have some art.
Now, there was no AI back then in 2022.
It's not even that far ago.
I guess maybe there was a little.
I wasn't toying with it yet.
But I had a relationship with a real-life artist that does things by hand.
And he offered to be part of it.
And that's awesome. And we kicked it off. And my roommate was like, well, here in West Virginia, right? I'm in West Virginia. We love our
Mothman here. People love cryptids here, like creatures, like fantasy creatures that some
people think are real. The Mothman, the Bigfoot.foot my roommate was like you should make cryptids i
don't know what to do with them but cryptids and i was like okay okay we can draw some quick cryptids
then i'm like trading card just seemed like the natural fit to me because i just like the style
of it and then i was learning right when i started what packs and blends are so we I kicked off the collection with packs and
blends and I love the I just love the concept of obviously opening packs and getting random things
but collecting various things and then combining them to upgrade to make your blend or just the
art the the concept of of merging art together to make new art.
So it's very much like a puzzle to me, like a puzzle, jigsaw puzzle.
You got pieces, you're creating a solved piece.
Or in my case, I was like, what can we do to where it's like you're upgrading your card each tier?
And so that's how I thought of doing sketch cards and base cards. Basically,
the reason was my artist would give me sketches first to approve them before going into the
colored version. And I was like, man, I love these pencil sketches. We should use those too.
So that's how we did sketch cards. And it has the actual pencil sketch of them. And then they'll
upgrade into the colored version. And then I also got a tier below that
where they're broken, broken cards.
And I've just had a lot of,
even without any utility at all,
which is how I started other than gameplay.
I used it in the app in the gameplay and featured it,
but I didn't ever had a token.
I still don't have a token.
And I'm just in love as a creator
that doesn't trade or do crypto
very much, just a creative person. I fell in love with packs and blending and just upgrading to get
something rare and cool. And I found it to be my method of distribution. So I'm giving away a lot
of my NFTs for free right on stream for engaging. And before the stream, it was the app so i really love wax because it's
nearly free it's very efficient to just distribute nfts and if people want to buy them they can buy
them and if they want to engage with them and get freebies they can do that and then after that i
learned about utility and how everyone's trying to put value like use cases for the NFT other than collecting. And I pretty much did everything I possibly could
without a token.
Now, see, we could launch tokens these days.
It's very easy.
You go right to WaxDAO and create a token
or any of the others,
but then that's just clicking a button.
But what does that mean?
So then you have your token.
Oh, well, it gets deep then and i i recommend
anybody that's going to try to do that to research into it and plan it all out so it doesn't
remain a ponzi to put it into short terms if you kick it off when you're first launching
the very beginning of it if there's no case, essentially the value comes from people coming in
and buying it. And then they're getting more value as more people come in. That's the definition of
a Ponzi. But then you're putting utility to it, to the token itself. You're giving it a use case.
That's what turns it into a game or some kind of long-term vision or long-term project that's
sustainable and it's beneficial to everybody. Case in point,
Twitchy Tides does a very good job at this. And so I decided I'm still not at that position. I
want a tokenomics partner to even do that because I want to make sure if I'm going to launch a token
that the value will be coming from real utility where it's self-sustaining and I don't have to
worry about it
because I'm the kind of guy that if like my token dumps,
I'm gonna feel obligated to buy my token to just the rate,
just to help everybody.
And I don't wanna get in that position.
Nobody does.
You wanna make it to where it's growing on itself
because of the system.
So anyway, without going into all of that,
what's other utilities you can add?
You can do revenue share.
A lot of projects do that.
They'll take a portion of their wax
that they make from drops or whatever,
put it into the waxed out farm,
something like that, or airdrops or giveaway entries.
We have all these tools on wax.
You can like take snapshots of holders.
I love doing that.
Take snapshots of the holders of the top rare ones now you can
do like weekly giveaways or airdrops and things like that that's also how I determine the mythics
they're very rare mythics people get them because they have the very top tier rank and then that's
gonna be entries out of a spin wheel to get your mythics. So there's like a lot of different options.
I think everybody that's listening, most of you are familiar. I mean, it's fantastic. If anybody
is newer and is joining, these are all things you can do. If you're an artist,
don't just sell an art drop by itself. You can, sure you can, but consider making a pack,
consider making blend tiers, consider sharing a little bit of
revenue as airdrops or giveaway entries. Our free access to new drops is a great utility,
like as a pass. So if somebody holds something old, they can now access new stuff. These are
all great utilities without actually having your own token. So I feel like there's levels to this.
utilities without actually having your own token so i feel like there's levels to this and i feel
like as a creator as an artist you should try to put as much utility as you can but it could just
live as art by itself and that's fine and there are collectors that like that also don't feel
pressured to create a token and if you do make sure i would suggest to do research and get it right and plan it out accordingly.
And if you do all that, then you could thrive as a wax collection that's very prosperous.
And I'd love to see more of that.
I'd love to see more play-to-earn games that have a full-fledged system that could last for years and years with art infused into it.
Our friend from Twitchy Tides calls that evolved art.
So I like that.
I just want to say all that.
And once again, go to anftopia.weebly.com.
See what packages are.
If you're a project, we'd love to have you with a booth.
Yeah, shouts.
Absolutely.
But thank you so much, Puzzled, for posting the Anatopia details.
You know, you're all over Wax sharing everything all the time. shouts out absolutely i put um thank you so much puzzled for posting the uh anatopia details you
know you're all over um wax sharing everything all the time you're such a great source um for
news and info so if you're not following puzzled um you should probably be following puzzled um
ezekiel um is coming to stage one real quick before we go i wanted to say one thing you
mentioned breakman um getting like you talked about making a token if you were to do that you
would get someone kind of who knows a little bit more i think that talked about making a token if you were to do that you would get
someone kind of who knows a little bit more i think that's a really good strategy if you aren't
we can't all be experts at every single thing there's a lot of moving parts um for making
uh something like that and if you're going to uh have gaps in your knowledge that you can't
necessarily fix quickly it's great to be able to loop in someone who has that knowledge to fill
in those gaps i just want to call it that you mentioned that good stuff all right zekio uh
welcome it's good to see you oh good day guys how we doing i'll see you while i see you consumer
pantera i see tommy down there i see derec my friends i see you um puzzled i see
derrick slint everybody game everybody building on words blockchain and general bullies on words
i was i've been waiting for your follow back for a long time and you know i just want to uh i was
on my space i was listening to space so i got to round off my space as quickly as i was really because uh some of the notifications and i got the information that um space are free start so i don't know i'm just
feel a little bit uh okay what i have to say is this i just love some projects i really love some
projects on what's best in the sense that almost all the projects are what are there for the utility you know nfts and gaming uh
based on utility not only that the fact that was blockchain uh they are literally supporting
developers uh you know one of the best blockchain at the end you know supporting um on the back of
developers building or was a couple of my friends building or was that are police you know that i
literally love what they're building and you know
um the father's um they're here for the longest time i believe uh if we keep on
keep mentioning of 15 people starting the developers on our blockchain will surely go
forward surely break some record i know um what's the dream and what's the promise but you'll be
sure to you guys i do not i'm not here to you know west much i just want to give it that i see some of my friends i see it's coming down there i see puzzle i see direct and
i believe that consumer after this place will host another space you know what's going to say
i believe i will be there as soon as possible you'll be sure that you guys on the space yeah
i'm cmtm once again you what the mic is just not believe one day you will hit your follow back i've been waiting for this day yeah thank you thank you guys
thanks ezekiel it's always good you've always got good vibes it's always good to hear from you
and your positive attitude man
keep on keeping on man um do you want okay we have one more person who wanted to request to speak uh
derek welcome do you want to share a little bit do you have a project on wax that you want to, okay, we have one more person who wanted to request to speak. Uh, Derek, welcome. Do you want to share a little bit?
Do you have a project on WAX that you want to talk about?
Not really, but I'm Jim, Jim, everyone.
Jim WAX, Ezekiel, Ajay, every other person on the space.
I feel like you guys are trying to work with space.
I don't want to waste much time.
Um, I didn't have, I don't have any projects on WAX.
I joined the space because I got an indication from Ezekiel.
So, like, WAX, WAX, when is the you know what's wax like i was just kind of um curious you know that's
why i joined this space probably you guys were talking about wax you know and um trying to know
what it's all about um it's like you guys are trying to work this space i don't want to waste
much time i do want to check out the website uh try to see what i can do with
it you know i like uh hopping and learning about new things so that's why i hopped into this space
right because i've not heard about wax for the first time before so yeah thank you
yeah thanks derek
shout out to you thanks uh for following ezekiel on over here
all right let me uh also um to the stage at Splinterlands. Welcome.
How are you doing? Hey. Good. Blaze here with Splinterlands. How you doing?
Doing all right. It's a Wax Wednesday. It's getting ready to, in a short time,
be handing off to our Wax Drop space where all the real good news and details are coming from Mr. Brickman himself.
What's cracking? Nothing much. Just wanted to check in with my Wax OGs.
I am lead sales and marketing over at Splinterlands.
To touch on Consumer Break, I mean, spot on on what he's saying.
Wax is perfect for artists, right? I'm a Wax OG.
I work with Splinterlands. We have a bridge that needs
to be revamped.
We were on Atomic Cub, but our NFTs are available on Wax.
We do need to work on the bridge.
We have a lot of good things going just right up your guys' alley with art.
I've implemented new foils into Splinterlands, and the art is really, really cool. And we have some really great artists uh looking forward to bridge that stuff on over to wax so we can show it off
um in the near future but it's good to see you guys building i was a ultra horrors uh collector
gpk uh mlb the works i'm i'm a straight up wax dj and myself back in 2021 i was in pretty hot
um alien worlds.
Luckily I was able to get out of the land while the prices were high.
But I'm really rooting for you guys and good to see you guys stream still.
But what's new?
What's the latest and greatest?
I know this is an artist's call,
but is there anything I should be keeping an eye out for?
The latest thing update from us,
I think is going to be the mobile cloud wallet release,
which will be an app.
And then we're also releasing something.
It should be released soon.
I don't exactly have the dates,
but I'm not devs.
You can't beat me up for that.
We should be having a update that allows,
I think it's called Worf Kit.
So I will let,
there'll be official
information coming about that soon but it's a little maybe a little little
teaser taste if you're someone who develops then that should then I
understand that should make it a lot easier to connect with wax connect with
the wallet and then also with the mobile wallet as well that's what it
yeah I know we we just came out with with our Android app for Google Play.
And we're having a little troubles with Apple and getting approved.
We're going through the process.
But that should be around the corner for Splinterlands.
But no, I'm just psyched to see what we can do in the future.
I'm doing a lot of collabs with some other blockchains,
with working with some people on the Cosmos and beyond,
and to work on some collabs with, with Splinterlands,
because we have a really in-depth game, a little bit for everybody,
for the collector, for the person who wants an NFT with utility,
we have land and we're doing some really cool stuff.
So I'm looking forward to getting in touch with somebody on your end to see
what we can do together. Something sooner than later.
Sounds fun, man. to getting in touch with somebody on your end to see what we can do together uh something sooner than later sounds fun man uh slide into my dms that's we can start there i'll say yeah we can start there but keep building uh a real quick anything else going on with like mlb or any of
the the old projects anything coming to back to life there with the big IPs? All IPs are owned by their prospective owners, right?
So if we were to do anything with that, they would have to sign off.
So it had to come from them first.
So if the community were to build something, I think that would be different.
But that's not anything I've heard too much about.
Well, I still have my Hot Wheels, my physical Hot Wheels from that event.
Oh, yeah. Hot Wheels was a lot. That was one of my favorites. Yeah. okay well i still have my hot wheels my physical hot wheels from that event from uh oh yeah
that was one of my favorite yeah it'd be great if you guys can spark some stuff up with that
even with like the small guys if um we're talking about that with with uh with our nfts too right
with the ultra rare one of fives and stuff of like collaborating with artists to create a piece
and then everybody that holds those scarce NFTs
will get a claim to then,
we can collab with artists.
So all kinds of ideas
and things we can do with the blockchain
that are just freaking out of this world
that doesn't exist now
that we can make come to life.
So yeah, if any artists are interested
in working with Splinterlands
or anybody from Wax
that we can start doing some things together,
just shoot me a DM.
I am rolling OTB on X.
I'll go by Blaze.
You'll see me there in the Telegram as well.
I will say when you're talking about collecting cards too,
I remember running into you guys at GDC years ago,
and you all had the best business cards,
which looked just like little collector's cards.
That's something that I always remember.
So, yeah, when you're talking about bringing something like that, almost even with a viral component,
you're kind of mentioning about a Mattel, I really think that's some of the best utility that's out there for collectors.
That's probably my favorite model.
It's kind of like what Funko's doing, right? I think they've really dialed it in great are they still doing events on wax yeah they still do drops leave I
won't I believe there's one this week um I know so I know someone in the audience who's a way
better uh Funko head than I am um if they want to maybe talk a little bit about what's going on
this week with Funko but yeah they're still doing drops it's all through the drop model and it's i think it's it's really good no that's fine no i participated in
ninja turtles and all that stuff is good times all right well good stuff thanks for coming to
the space azika you've got your hand up of course
zika you got your hand up if you're talking don't forget to unmute
okay um um pardon that i raised my hands once again okay um but um derrick was literally asking your question and you know it was like a kind of man and guiding where it was
free and was asking um just to know about what blockchain you know i think he didn't give him
an answer and i think um that's some of the problem some persons are facing in the space whereby
um they don't know about us and they are not developers either they are consumers they are
those that won't believe on a project they are that want to support a project and will know what is happening so i believe that um we
got to work on the gap we developers from the space and we that are um bullish on what's working
got to work on that gap whereby you know even those that are not bullish on um even though
they don't know what we bring it them bring it down so that everybody understand like me every week i try my best to make a speech for what's blockchain i mean just
to let people know more about was and you know some of my friends came to the space and they
don't know what was it's all about uh some of them might follow me this uh maybe currently and they
were like uh is it the ton of my notification and be like uh is it here what's happening was was
was all these projects they don't know it,
I mean, they are not developers, and I think you are thinking Derek was a developer.
He's not a developer, rather he's a content writer on the space.
So if we can work with the fact of, you know, bridging this graph, whereby everybody is working on Wast blockchain,
even those that have skills on the web trade space, even those that want to establish some projects and know more about it, if you can bridge this
program, I think that's one of the reasons why I came to WAX blockchain. I think it
will make a lot of sense because everybody has to stay positioned on WAX blockchain.
Yeah, thank you. Thank you for your time.
Yeah, I think developers can be some of the greatest ambassadors for WAX as far as sharing information, especially in circles where developers are maybe looking for an affordable model where they can build upon it.
I think developers especially can share that information in those circles.
Well said.
See ya, Sully.
How are you now?
Good, and you? I'm making it. I. Sully. Welcome. How are you now? Good, and you?
I'm making it. I'm making it.
We're almost doing it. I'm so glad you came up.
You are the, as far as I know, you're the person who knows most about Funko of anyone I've ever met.
So if you want to maybe speak a little bit about what's cooking with Funko.
What about your collection with Hootie?
Yeah, absolutely.
So for Funko, they're still chugging along full speed.
They've been doing releases pretty much every two weeks for the last five years.
They'll take occasional, you know, a month off here or there to reset.
But they've done a really good job of listening to the community and adapting,
offering things like you can get pot protectors
when you have the physical redemption sent to you and making sure that the shipping is
better quality so that things arrive to you in mint condition.
But they've been doing pack drops where you open them up.
Good experience with the opening.
We just had one yesterday that was what they call Funime.
It's their anime and cosplay series featuring their own licensed characters like Freddy Funko and Proto and Franny. And when you open those packs, if you get lucky
enough to pull a legendary or a grail, that guarantees you a physical pop that'll get
delivered to you in the mail, free if you're in the U.S. There is an additional cost if you're
outside the U.S. But over the five years, everything's gotten better. The art's gotten
better, the quality of the NFTs, the shipping, what they're listening to fans with.
And most recently, over the last three months, they've been running a new thing called Drop Arcade.
So in the past, when you got like commons or uncommons out of a pack, they were typically worth maybe three, four, five cents.
But with Drop Arcade, you can now use your existing NFTs to have utility by what they call converting them in the game.
It's burning them to get points.
And if you end up, we have a little under two weeks left in the season.
If you end up in the top 333 people with the most points, you get a redemption coin and a physical pop that will be delivered to you in the mail.
Which, honestly, one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
We've been begging for utility with the Funko NFTs for years, and they've delivered,
and they're delivering regularly because on top of the game, they're actually having these little mini games as well.
Like over the last week, if you burned anything that was a card ID 40, you got an entry into winning some packs.
It's really, really fun. I like to say it's multi-leveled. You can just
jump in, buy a pack, see what you get, and walk away. Or if you really want to learn about it,
you can buy and sell and trade NFTs on the secondary market so that you can guarantee
those physical pops get delivered to you. And after five years, I'm sitting on 300 plus pops
that I think are all pretty much undervalued because a large majority
of the Funko collecting community in the world at large still doesn't even understand that it's there
or how it works, which is where I come in. Every Tuesday and Friday I stream, and on Tuesdays
specifically I'm focused on NF Tuesdays, where I try to help people understand how to buy packs,
what it means, how to collect royalty sets, answering any questions.
And every Tuesday on my stream, I give away a free NFT. I've been doing that for a year plus now.
Yesterday, I gave away one, distributed it in the afternoon to everybody. And then if they want to,
they can learn a little more about my collection and come in and do things like blends and
participate in giveaways and whatnot to earn more NFTs from me.
participate in giveaways and whatnot to earn more NFTs from me.
Sorry, that was long-winded.
I just got going and didn't stop.
That was not long-winded.
That was packed.
That was like a protein bar of information.
That was concise and packed.
Your model of education and your openness and the vibe and community atmosphere you make on your stream is
hats off to you, man. It's so, it's really some of the best. And I was so excited also hearing
about the burns and the little bit of utility, the utility, excuse me, that they're adding
to the game too. That was really a welcome news community here too.
Where do we go for this?
It's so much fun.
Almost everything that has to do with these projects is housed on Funko's
site called Drop.
That's D-R-O-P-P-P dot I-O.
And that is owned and run by Funko.
Although it feels like a different experience when you get there,
that is their company.
So you're in safe space when you're there. That is their company. So you're in safe
space when you're there. They have their own marketplace there. You can also take those NFTs
off a drop and you can transfer them over to your WAX wallet. Every NFT they have is built on the
WAX blockchain. They just have their own portal in that drop site that it's its own little
community. And the majority of the transactions with Funko happen there now, but there's still
a life on the WAX blockchain going through like Atomic Hub or Nefty Blocks
or any of the other sites to buy and sell. There's still some of that there. Just the
majority of it's on the drop marketplace. That's awesome. Do they do collabs with
projects outside their scope? Like the limited runs with like WAX projects and such?
Sadly, they have not to date.
I don't communicate with the team directly a lot.
Yesterday, they did share my links and stuff to let everybody know that I'd be talking about the project as it was live. So I'm trying to get in there to get their ear to hopefully get some things like that to happen.
They've kept it very Funko-centric, and they've worked with a lot of licensors.
kept it very Funko-centric, and they've worked with a lot of licensors.
So you could get things over the last year like Always Sunny in Philadelphia,
Aliens, Toy Story, Avatar, a bunch of different projects.
Of course, I've collected every one of them and I'd blink right now on what they are.
But they've done a lot of licensed projects.
And I hope in the future, because I think there's a responsibility they have in basically
being like, they're like the tentpole that holds up most of WACs right now, it feels like to me.
Maybe because I'm laser focused on it.
That's the truth.
But I think they have a responsibility to kind of help out the rest of the community.
And I hope to convince them to do that in the future, to work with other projects and other people and to do things outside of just their standard NFTs.
But we'll see.
You know, they're a a corporate publicly owned company it's hard to make them do anything uh that's more
grassroots and and close to the ground sounds like it this is great stuff um sully yeah absolutely
i'm here if anybody has any questions i'll just just Homer into the bushes and listen, but if anybody has any questions for me or
about Funko or anything, I'm always here to help. And if you don't have time to ask
here or you don't feel comfortable, you can always hit me up on Twitter. I'm CSSully.
You guys can click on my icon there, follow me, send me your questions. I'm happy to help anytime I can.
That's awesome. I still have the old school routine of going
to Atomic hub and checking like
you know the latest volume is there is that somewhere else or is that still the way to go
is there another unfortunately activity unfortunately yeah you won't see that on
atomic hub anymore because of the way they've structured their system and that the drop.io
kind of is like its own little um playground that's situated on top of WAX. Those transactions aren't recorded over on WAX in that way.
And in fact, some of their projects, when they work with Disney, their licenses, I think, restrict.
I'm guessing at this part, but they restrict and they don't allow the NFTs to go over to WAX.
There are certain ones that are what they call drop exclusives.
There have been three or four so far, like Aliens, Mickey and Friends,
Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Those never could be transferred over to WAX for buying and selling
on the secondary market. So if you want transaction history, you can go to drop, but there aren't a
lot of utilities that share like, here's the overall picture of everything that's going on
on the platform. You can only get more of the granular level. Like here's an individual NFT
and here's the last 50 transactions
and exactly how much they bought and sold for.
They like to do it that way
instead of giving the whole picture.
They do those little granular bits.
Great insights.
Thanks so much, Sully.
I really appreciate you coming up.
I really love the NF Tuesday giveaways. I love that you're still doing it. Your vibe is just too positive, man. It's always a pleasure. I was just smiling when you come to my spaces. I want to see you on stream.
let me know. I mean, that's just me.
I just want to see everybody succeed and have a lot
of fun with it because not only
is it fun, but also I'm sitting on 300
plus pops that I'd love to see go up in value.
So let's all jump on board and raise those values.
Well said.
Well said.
Alright, we've got two minutes until
Consumer Break Space, so I know
he's going to be leaving the building right now, so
let's wrap it up.
Huge thank you to everyone who came up to speak.
Sully, Breakman, AJ, Pantheon, Spinnerlands, Ezekiel, CXC World.
I'm forgetting anyone kicked me.
The new Derek.
It's really great hearing all of you share about what you're building,
talking about what you're seeing and what's being built.
It was a really good vibe.
I really enjoyed it today.
Thank you all who joined us and came to speak.
Thank you all who are here listening. If you didn't get a chance to speak today, but want
to share something in the future, feel free to reach out. My DMs are open,
and I'm always looking to feature some more voices, whether it's art or maybe
you're building, you've got maybe a cool game that's been running
for a little while. I'd like to learn more. Before we go, a couple quick notes. Like I said,
the Wax Drop Space, hosted by DNF Topia is coming up next. They'll be chatting with a special guest,
and if you want the details, tune in live here on X, or you can catch the stream at twitch.tv
forward slash consumer break. Make sure you go check them out and give them all that attention.
All the work that they put together as far as the wax news and the drops every week is really great,
and I know I rely on it to see what I'm going to be buying next or checking out next.
Do your own research, right?
Also, I'm planning to invite Lucas Celica, the CTO of WAX,
back for a tech-focused update in a couple of weeks.
If you have questions for the CTO of WAX, please start sending them to me now.
You can send them to me on the WAX Hub Discord or message me on EPS.
And that's it for me today um i will see
you next time thank you again everybody was really great space um i had a lot of fun happy wax wednesday
everyone Thank you.
