Crying in the footsteps of those always lost their vision
Waiting time for the young boy to die
Sitting around waiting for a revolution

Who is it that's gonna rise up? Get there, yeah
Who is it that's gonna rise up? Take what's there

Good afternoon and happy Saturday
I hope everybody is well today
Welcome to our web free community communities Twitter space
Tonight we are featuring April Union and CBW Radio aka Shaggy
And our co-hosts for tonight are the bacon sandwich and tricky Buddha from device based on keys
Bacon, how are you doing my friend? Also shout out to Z
What's up?
Sorry Bacon, how are we doing?
How are we doing? How are we doing Z, you good my friend?
I'm good. Thanks. Hope everyone's having a great week. Absolutely. Mike smart. How are we doing? So I know you're a busy man
May even be busy right now. He probably is no worries a bit tricky. How are we doing my friend?
I have sent you an invite, but they're doglings. Hey, Christian. How are you doing, buddy? You well?
I'm fine. Thank you for having me as always how could be not and how are we doing?
Shaggy my friend. Are you well?
Yeah, do not too bad. My brother man. I appreciate you having me on here. How's everybody else doing today?
Listen to that voice. Listen to that voice. Definitely a voice. Definitely a voice for radio. I absolutely love it. Well, like silk.
Jump in and retweet the room. That would be awesome. Tag some people if you can. Let's get this space out there. Let's get some people joining.
We're having a bit of technical difficulties with Twitter, but we always do, but we always battle our way through them.
But tonight is going to be an awesome night. I'm looking forward to speaking to Shaggy and I'm also looking forward to speaking to a reunion when they join.
But obviously you're here first. So I'm more than happy to speak to you first. If you would be as happy to lose off.
Yeah, I'm always down for sure. I appreciate it. No problem. Well, welcome to the space. I appreciate you giving us your time.
I know you're also a very busy man and you've got a lot going on, but I'm super excited to listen to your story, your journey, what it is that you do.
So if you're able to just tell us about yourself, that would be awesome.
Yeah, sure. Actually, I can. I think you said I got a little bit of time so I can start at the beginning.
My name is Shaggy. That is what most people know me by anymore. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, here in the States.
I am the owner and founder of CBW Productions and CBW Radio. So I try to to get the word out about that as much as I can.
And the reason I did that is because I got real tired of listening to all the standard B.S. radio that you hear.
That's nothing but commercials and the same songs over and over again or having to flip through 100 stations.
If you're in a different mood or paying memberships for stuff like Sirius or Pandora or all those other ones.
So I wanted to create a station that you can get everything. We play every genre, every decade, all uncensored.
We are worldwide. I have a studio here in Cleveland, Ohio and one in Chelmsford.
So we actually broadcast at all hours, no matter what time zone you're in.
And it's something that's been definitely a big passion for me.
I think the production company is about three years old now and the station is about two.
So we're just growing. We're just getting started here.
That's amazing. Have you just got the one station where you're based or have you got multiple stations?
Everything broadcasts through the one station. So even when my buddy Big C that comes on every morning from London,
he just patches in remotely to my studios here and then does his show that way.
So everything is all just under one link. And I've actually recently just started multicasting it into spaces
so that people who aren't that familiar and maybe don't want to jump to another app sometimes can still pop in
and kind of check out what we're all about. And I try to interact when I can still get the request line out.
We take everybody's requests just like radio used to be.
We're not going to BS you and make you think we'll play it just to keep you hanging on.
Because we know you can go somewhere you want here, whatever song you want instantly.
But we want you to hang in vibe with us. We want to bring that to you.
Bring that old school back mixed with everything at your fingertips that you have today.
Is this an actual radio station?
Yes, definitely. We're fully licensed. We broadcast 24-7, whether there's DJs on or not.
But like I said, all week long, there's pretty much not a day that we don't have somebody live on air at one point,
depending on what time zone you're in. And most of the time, that's cool.
Yeah, that's brilliant. And are you looking to journey that into Web3 in somewhere?
Are you looking to integrate the decentralized way of doing things?
What's your plans with integration with your radio on Web3?
I'm not really sure. That's something I've been looking into a little more lately,
that I've been getting into the scene and getting more familiar and meeting more people.
But I don't know, that's one of the things I like about being an online station only,
is that it really leaves you open to any possibility and you don't have to deal with the FCC.
You can just be yourself. But at the same time, like I said, we're licensed,
so we get to play real music and we can also play local independent music.
Anybody we want to play, and then this way, but having that kind of access,
that definitely leaves us wide open to get into Web3 or to be a part of some kind of metaverse
or anything like that that may want a station that plays 24-7.
Yeah, that would be amazing. Sounds like a great conversation that you and Mike Smart could have
from meta builders, sometimes super excited about, because there's many ways of integration there.
So if you're having trouble wondering what route to take,
Mike Smart is definitely your man for that, haven't you?
Z3's got his hand up. How are we doing, Z?
Great. I was just going to say to Shaggy, I like the idea of the more old-school type radio, you know,
because music's got such a scam these days. It's more like paid-to-win, you know?
Yeah, it's really gotten horrible and it still feels like pay-all is a thing. I don't care what they say.
Yeah, no, you're absolutely right there. And I think Web3 is the way, especially if that's the route
you want to take, because, you know, having the ability to have so many partners and connections
and different ways of doing things and, you know, integrating the NFT technology
and maybe digital assets in other fashions later down the line. But certainly there's people,
you know, in the industry that are in Web3 completely that would definitely love to engage with that.
I mean, you know, having a radio station that people can utilize and, you know, if you do advertisements
for Web3 companies as well, you know, that'd be super awesome as well.
And I've already been trying to kind of bridge the gap as much as I can.
Like, I've had a few different projects on, you know, to interview, to kind of reach a broader audience
that may necessarily not know too much or, you know, be misled on what everything's all about.
So that's something that I've already been doing and plan to do a whole lot more of here in the future.
And I'm pretty sure we're the only station that has given away an NFT on air.
And I've done that a couple times so far. It's went really, really well.
And like I said, I think this is my family here. This is who I want, who I want vibing with me, you know.
So I'm definitely here to answer any more questions. But that's, like I said, that's where I'm looking.
This is just something I'm very passionate about. And even with the uncensored, I know a lot of people get away from that.
Yeah, we do play some dirty stuff and our comedy sometimes is dirty, but it's not like we don't go out of our way
to use profanities like some child that just learned how to swear or something, you know what I mean?
It's made for grownups, basically.
Yeah, I mean, for the most part, we have our clean stuff. We get a lot of remote gigs and people will hire us to go do events.
So we keep some clean stuff on hand when needed. But we try to play the versions of music the way they were meant to be heard by the artist.
Yeah, and I think Web 3 is definitely your answer to that as well, especially on the issue that a lot of people have had with censorship.
It's a great way to protect your station and just have it in a place that's away from Web 2 where all the control is.
But it's amazing that, you know, you're going back to that. It reminds me of a film I once watched.
I can't remember the name of it, but I know you'll know what I'm talking about.
A group of guys who had a radio station on a boat, same sort of thing, you know, eventually.
See, I could have sworn it was called Pirate Radio.
Yeah, that's what I always thought it was called, too.
And then when I was in London, I was trying to look it up with Big C and it was called something completely different.
And it almost had one of those Mandela effects on me, like it really messed me up for a minute.
But I'm pretty sure I always remember it being Pirate Radio.
One hell of a movie with Nick Frost and all that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's one.
Beautiful movie.
Yeah, definitely. Well, that's the advantage that I instantly got when I was listening to your radio station.
And it was so honestly so professional.
And as everyone can hear, you know, you've got a great voice for radio.
And the way that you speak when you're on air is absolutely amazing.
I was completely blown away.
And it was a massive thanks to Christian that brought you to our attention.
And yeah, completely blown me away when I listened to it because it was just so well put together.
And as much as a radio, as you would imagine, you know, if I saw that, you know, if I was to tune in my own radio station and play that,
it would just sound just as good, if not better than the stations that was already there.
So you've obviously got the setup and, you know, the professionalism and the, you know, experience to deliver amazing radio.
So it's really exciting that you're indulging into Web3 because, you know, I've got so many ideas and I'm sure Mike's got so many ideas as well.
And we could definitely work together and, you know, get that involved in the metaverse,
get involved in people that are in our networks as well that are looking also for airtime.
And, you know, the way we can utilize each other's networks, I think would be really incredible.
Oh, yeah, definitely. And really, I cannot tell you how much it really means to me to hear you say to say that that really means a lot because I've definitely worked hard.
And this is something that means a lot to me.
So to hear that that somebody appreciates is in such a way that I've been able to reach people like that.
It just really makes it all worth it.
And definitely a big shout out to Christian and Doglands.
Fucking love that guy.
One of the greatest cats I've met since I've been in the scene.
So much love to him.
Yeah, he's an absolute legend.
So privileged to have him on our team.
He's a great guy, definitely.
But, yeah, no, you can tell that you love it as well.
And you can hear that in all the things that are played in the way that you speak when you're on air, you can tell you're in your element.
And that's amazing.
And, you know, we'd love to be a part of that.
And we appreciate you spending time with us as well, because, you know, we're trying to work together to build something that can't be taken away from us.
And you're doing the same thing.
So it makes sense to join forces and strive forward together and just keep building and growing, utilizing our different skill sets or different reaches and, you know, broadening our horizons.
Oh, yeah, no, I mean, definitely that sounds amazing.
And I would love to work together.
Like I said, I've been rocking the plus for a long time.
Yeah, I saw that.
And thank you so much.
Honestly, I was so made up with it.
It really means a lot every time, you know, anyone adds a plus.
But when someone adds a plus, that's very passionate about the industry that they're in and they're making lots of effort and really working hard.
It really shines a great light on what we're trying to build.
So it was a massive, massive compliment to us when you did that.
So really appreciate that, honestly.
Like I said, I really appreciate being here and you guys want me to be a part of it.
Definitely.
Load of community.
Everybody I've met has been amazing.
And I can't think of any other place I've felt more at home.
And that really means a lot.
Yeah, thank you, bro.
And we've definitely got to build on that because, you know, that's the way we all feel.
That's the energy we all have.
And it's really exciting because, you know, I'd love to come on your radio station myself one day and speak to you about, you know, all the things that we do as well.
And it'd be amazing to be on a radio station.
I think it's super cool that you guys are, you know, live 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
That's a really brilliant touch.
Oh, yeah. And I would love to have you on.
That's something we can definitely get set up soon and talk about in the back end.
And like I said, anybody can listen all over the world.
Some places may need a VPN if you're real far out of like the UK, Canada and the U.S.
But you can still get in.
Yeah. No, that is amazing.
Z3 has a question.
Fire away, brother.
I was just wondering if you are the link to pop to the top, Shaggy.
Yeah, I can probably get a link up there because I actually have a show tonight where I'll be getting a tattoo live on air.
So I had a promo going around for it.
So I'll pin that to the top if that's OK with everybody here.
I don't want to like hard because I know I think the space may still be going at the time I have to start my show.
So I don't want to, you know, take away any attention from from this space.
But as long as everybody's fine, I'll find it real quick and post it.
Yeah, absolutely. Don't worry about that at all.
Thank you. I appreciate you being so considerate.
But then I'll pin it to the top.
Thank you. I'm glad you remembered that.
Yeah, thanks. Good looking at my brother.
Yes. So while you're looking to pin that up with, you know, having your own radio stations,
I mean, was that a difficult process to get it licensed and up and running officially?
Well, getting everything set up and like the work of getting it going and getting everything working was kind of tough because like even in broadcast school,
like they teach you how to broadcast and how to do certain things.
But as far as actual the technical side of running everything and getting it to stream out and doing remote setups and, you know,
all the technical side, they didn't teach us anything about that at all.
So I just kind of had to learn it all on the fly these last few years as I was building it.
Yeah, and I bet that came with its challenges.
Fair play for pulling it off. I mean, Mike, I don't know if you can speak at the minute,
but I know you've got a lot of connections on the music side of things, especially in web free.
Are you able to speak about that at the minute or are you multitasking at the moment?
Oh, I can chat. Nothing too professional. How's it going?
Nice. All is well, my friend. All is well. Glad that you can join us. I appreciate it.
But yeah, so, you know, you've got some connections that, you know, doing things on the music side of things, aren't you?
Yeah, I was just thinking when I was listening, I was thinking about MetaJax and how they're always streaming live jazz music and doing Metaverse events.
You know, streaming live music into the Metaverse and when you were talking about production,
my friend Tim Ellis has been in the production business for about 30 years.
And there's plenty of room for collaboration just in those things alone.
Yeah, that sounds awesome.
Like I said, I'm always definitely down to meet new people and to collaborate on things.
And that's one thing I love about this space so much.
Well, we're really going for this massive marketing tool.
You know, this I'm going to say we over real quick to the book collaboration.
That's basically all it is, is a marketing tool that has a low barrier to entry for a ton of people to get attention and collaborate on one project.
And that way we can be equally as loud as the industry that's coming in with their billions of dollars, just, you know, throwing ads and deafening the rest of us.
Yeah, like I'll run some ads, like very, very few ads, like even like I'll run an ad for dog when you might hear one an hour.
And even then I keep it kind of limited.
Well, it's one thing to run ads for people who don't have a bunch of money and can't get attention.
But it's another thing to take the entire market's attention with your billions of dollars in ad revenue.
You know what I mean?
Exactly. And just overtake the airwaves.
It's like they ruined it.
Sorry, I didn't mean to talk over your brother.
No, no worries.
Sorry about that, gentlemen.
I was just attending to something in the household.
A man with many children.
That should explain everything he needs to know.
So yeah, talk a little bit about your event tonight, Shaggy.
Sounds like you've got something really cool going on.
I mean, did you say you were getting tattooed live on air?
Yeah, that would actually be the first time.
I haven't got a tattoo in about eight years.
So I figured why not try to do it while I'm actually doing the show.
So it's actually a really good friend of mine.
Really talented cat.
Like he does tattoo work.
He does like a lot of movie makeup, like prosthetic work.
That'll just blow your mind.
So I got a hold of him.
And I don't know if you guys are familiar with the Buddha Bears at all.
That's actually who my PFP is right now.
They're one of the sponsors of my shows on Shaggy Day Night.
So the one I'm using as my PFP was going to be my forever.
So I decided to get a tattoo tonight on air.
So we're going to do the tattoo during the show.
So hopefully we'll see how that affects my voice after eight years.
I think that should be pretty fun.
And then right after that, I want to get into an interview of, you know,
dig more into him and the kind of work that he does and the experience
that he's had because he's had a few like haunted houses.
He's worked on a few pretty big films and he's just overall great guy.
I've known him for a really long time.
So I'm excited to sit down and chat with him and get his story out there.
And like I said, I've kind of been itching,
especially with the way things have been going lately.
I need that tattoo therapy.
Yeah, that's pretty epic.
I can't believe you're doing it over there.
I love that.
I haven't seen or heard of any other station doing it.
At least not for the way that we.
And I mean, I came up with CB radio.
A lot of times I get asked what CBW stands for.
And then one thing I've learned over probably the 10 years,
I kind of became my saying more so the last three years is, you know,
things could be worse.
So as long as things could be worse, they're still doing all right.
So that's how I came up with CBW.
CBW actually stands for could be worse.
I love that.
That's really clever as well.
Could be worse radio.
And also very, very true as well.
But it's got that sentimental value and very interesting that you're doing
a tattoo while you're live on her.
That'll be an awesome little event.
Yeah, it should be pretty interesting.
I think I'm going to stream it live to Facebook too.
So if anybody's on Facebook,
there should be a video there on the CBW page.
Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
So you said you'd do events as well.
And what type of events do you guys do?
Is that just on the DJ inside or?
I mean, for the most part, like some of the some of the clients
I have the economy for podcast will go out and do like, you know,
remote locations or we get booked.
The company and the station really gets booked for a lot of like bars
will have us come in on weekends and having like, you know,
your traditional DJ, I'll come in there and actually do a live show.
So not only do they get what they would get from a DJ and everybody
can come up and request, but they also get that, you know,
free kind of, in a sense, advertisement,
building up to the event, letting everybody know that we're there.
And the whole time we're there at the show.
And every year we do at least one or two charity events.
I've already booked up for one more for August to do.
That's all for cancer and to raise money for cancer.
So that's that's always been a big thing for me to try to get involved.
And I used to do a lot of Velosanos before I had my daughter.
So that was always fun to raise money for the Cleveland Clinic.
And then other than that, a lot of weddings lately,
people seem to want to book me for their weddings.
I think I already have two this summer.
So it's like it kind of branches out to a lot of different
try to offer any services that somebody may need.
Yeah, no, that's amazing.
And fair play for raising money for such a good cause as well.
You know, that's that's also really, really cool that you do that.
Because obviously it's a very important needed act in the world.
It's amazing that you're integrating that into what you're doing.
I think that's really awesome.
Mother's just joined.
We'll be speaking with you guys very, very soon.
I appreciate you guys coming.
Happy to see it.
We're just speaking with Shaggy from CWRid at the moment.
And then we'll get to you guys soon.
I just wanted to let you know.
So you didn't we didn't leave you waiting.
But yeah, I believe Christian is now back in the room.
Are you able to speak now, Christian?
There he is.
Yeah, we're just speaking our gratitude to you being an absolute legend
and also being the connection between us and CBW Radio.
So yeah, thank you for that bro.
Your awesomeness has brought people together once again
and it's greatly appreciated.
Total legend.
Well, thanks for that.
But I'm just being me and connecting.
It's what we do in it.
That's why we're the community of communities.
We're all legends.
Absolutely.
That is the ultimate goal is to bring people together.
You know, strengthen web3, connect communities and build each other up
and use our networks to strengthen each other as well.
So it's amazing that that's always happening.
It doesn't always come from the collective, you know, it comes from individuals as well.
But it's amazing that everyone's on the same mindset of working together and collaboration.
It's one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed in my entire lifetime
to see people from all walks of life, from all corners of the earth,
all sectors of different industries, you know, utilizing each other's skill sets
and companies to, you know, complement each other's passions.
I just think it's such an inspirational movement of people.
And we're so fortunate to be right in the middle of that
and, you know, have this platform that showcases that.
And, you know, we're also working on our NFT community collaboration book as well
that will showcase many different communities and projects.
And we can all work together to build this and, you know, put it out to the world.
And, you know, it's going to be put in the crypto magazine as well
and showcased in 21 countries.
So we're super excited about that.
And that's what Web3 is about, is community and collaboration
and lifting each other up.
And, you know, I think it's going to be a real nice surprise for the world
to see what people have been doing because so many, you know,
people in the world don't even know about Web3 yet
or how people operate inside of it.
So super exciting to be around people at the forefront of that.
And, you know, big love to Mike Smart from Metabuilders as well
who's done such an incredible job onboarding people into Web3,
you know, building the infrastructure.
You know, this legend's been in this industry since before Gary V,
you know, working out in the background
and, you know, bringing so many developers and talented people together
to build an ecosystem that does amazing things
that's just grown bigger and better all the time.
So massive love to you as well, Mike.
But, yeah, so is there any other aspects of your radio station,
Shaggy, that you want to talk about?
You know, is there anything specific about it
that you're super passionate about?
Because I'm sure there's lots of different avenues
that come with the radio station itself.
Well, I think so far, for the most part,
I definitely touched on my favorite things about, you know,
what we got so far and what kind of inspired me to create this station.
You know, because like I said, I definitely wanted to bring back those old vibes.
I wanted to give you that feeling of,
yeah, that DJ's really there for you to play the music you want to hear.
Because, you know, a lot of these stations,
and I've even interviewed for some of these terrestrial stations
that really turned me off of them.
It's like sometimes they'll pretend that they're going to take your request.
But most of the time, one, the DJ's in those stations
don't even have control of the music they're playing.
Everything's preloaded by some like guy in New York or something.
So you just got a guy sitting there on a microphone
and then there's another guy in a room
that's pushing all the buttons for his board.
See here, I got almost 7,000 songs right in front of me
so I can play anything I want at any time I want.
I run my own board.
I run my own song.
You know, everything is just the way it used to be.
Minus, I'm not spinning records.
Which I even do that sometimes.
I have vinyl hooked up.
So sometimes I have vinyl days
when certain new vinyls come out of bands I like a lot
or even just old vinyls I like a lot.
We'll just play the vinyl through.
And that's another thing you're not hearing from these terrestrial stations.
And one thing I definitely give you is more music,
more real music than just advertisements that you don't want to hear for stuff.
You probably won't buy anyway.
So other than that, I mean, that's the biggest thing.
I mean, I'm trying to get people away from feeling the need
that stuff like Pandora and Spotify is the only way to go.
It's like we're here, we're uncensored.
We have everything you could imagine from the 30s.
Literally, like we've had people ask for songs for the 30s
to make it happen all the way to stuff that just came out
or people trying to make it that just want their songs heard.
And so we're kind of that station for everybody
but bring back that old feel at the same time.
So that's pretty much, I'm not sure what else to say about the station right now.
But that's kind of the gist of it.
We're just trying to bring radio back to all of us,
make it real again, make it something exciting.
I remember being a kid and turning on the radio
and just I couldn't wait to listen to it.
Now I turn on the radio and I can't wait to turn it off.
You know what I mean?
So I wanted to change that for everybody.
And I wanted to see, you know, when people think good music
or think I want to jam or, you know, I got something to do.
Let's put on the music.
I want, you know, CBW radio right in their head, you know.
And there's so many different ways to listen. Why not?
Yeah, no, definitely. And that's awesome.
And like I said before, I'm super excited that, you know,
Web3 is going to play a part in all of that because, you know,
that opens a lot of doors for a lot of people in Web3 that, you know,
want to utilize the radio to, you know,
showcase what it is that they're doing, all the things that they've built.
I appreciate you joining us and talking about the radio.
And I wish you the best in your live show this afternoon.
And if you're still going when the space is finished, you know,
I'll definitely come and jump over and tune in. Definitely.
Well, hey, I really appreciate it.
And thank you so much for having me.
And I just want to let everybody know I'm always here for anybody.
If anybody needs anything, you must talk about something.
Need some little production work.
I don't care what it is. We're all family here.
Hit me up in the DMs. Everybody knows how to get ahold of me.
It's Shaggy. Thank you again.
Much love to everybody.
Thanks for taking time to listen to a little bit of my story on this
thing I've created.
And I hope it's something that maybe you all learn to enjoy as much as I do.
But thanks again, community to communities.
Let's fucking go.
If I'm in the UK, how can I tune into your radio station?
Actually, if you're in the UK, you can just go right to our website
or the free live 365 app because we actually have a studio in the UK
that we broadcast from.
So we're actually covered under the license.
So you won't even need a VPN.
I love that.
That's amazing.
CBWradio.com or the free live 365 app.
Just punching CBW radio will pop up.
It's like a green two thumb fist on a microphone.
Let's go.
Well, thank you very much Shaggy.
I really appreciate it.
And yeah, you know, I'm super inspired by your story and your journey.
And I'm sure there's much more amazing things to come.
And we definitely need to speak outside of the space about, you know,
coming closer together in our networks and really working some magic.
So on that note, if we are going to move over to Ape Reunion,
I'm super excited to speak to Ape Mother from Ape Reunion.
If in the meantime, everyone's all right to retweet the room
and drop a like and maybe a comment in the comment section.
That'll be amazing.
Thank you very much for joining us tonight, Ape Mother.
We really appreciate your time.
Welcome to the space.
How are you this afternoon?
What up, guys?
It's so funny because, well, one, happy Saturday.
I hope you're all doing well.
But I'm literally looking through our DMs and 9 p.m. UK time.
It makes sense now why this is scheduled 1 p.m.
Man, I almost forgot it.
But thanks for tagging me.
Thanks for being gracious with my late attendance.
And we're happy to be here, man.
Yeah, absolutely.
There's always bumps in the road when it comes to the time zone.
So honestly, don't worry about it.
We appreciate you coming in.
Some people don't even come at all if they're late.
So we really appreciate it.
And we're super understanding about all that sort of stuff.
So it's not a problem.
We appreciate your time this afternoon.
But, yeah.
Sorry about that.
Sorry about that.
Just commenting on the room itself so that we could get some more people in here.
I didn't share this.
I didn't announce it.
I didn't even see a link until the last minute.
So I apologize.
Normally, I share this stuff out and bring an army with me.
Yeah, no problem.
I appreciate you showing it out now.
Normally, we also have quite a few more people in our spaces.
But we seem to be having a bit of trouble with people getting kicked and
connection issues and Twitter doing its thing.
So, yeah, we do have bumps in the road in regards to that.
So I appreciate you tagging and sharing it out there.
It means a lot.
Yeah, no worries at all.
So what's going on today?
What are we talking about?
Yeah, so we were just speaking to Shaggy from CBW Radio.
He's got his own radio station, which is super awesome.
He's also looking to integrate Web3 into what he does.
And it's amazing for that to be a thing because it's another avenue for
amazing Web3 companies and infrastructures to be able to utilize a different
marketing arm to push out what they're doing in the world.
So I just thought that that was really, really cool.
He's also one of the community of communities as well, which is also
super awesome.
So, yeah, that's what we're talking about.
Well, man, I've heard a little bit about you guys.
I don't know enough.
Shout out to Lady Wings.
She actually introduced us and put us in connection.
We've been talking in the DMs.
But, you know, feel free to ask me anything.
But before you throw it over to me, I have to ask you, like, give me the
What is Thigh Rev all about?
Yeah, absolutely.
Well, thank you.
Well, I'm Thigh Revolution.
I've been working with three of us, and we work basically seven days a week
to try and strengthen the Web3 industry.
We have created a platform to help showcase all the amazing things that have
been built in Web3.
We're super passionate about networking, about community.
That's why we're called the community communities.
And our ultimate goal is just to bring communities together to help build
each other up rather than tear each other down for a top spot position type,
you know, infrastructure.
We just really want to complement the amazing features that come with Web3
in regards to community collaboration, connectivity, non-networking.
And that has been the absolute soul of what we're trying to do.
So we just absolutely love the industry.
We love the capabilities.
We love the freedom that it brings and the self-sovereignty.
And, you know, people are able to live their passion and build the things
that they really care about.
And they're able to, you know, implement that Web3 infrastructure into that
and completely, you know, take it places they never could in the system
that we're currently all sort of forced to be in.
So, yeah, that is what you said.
So that is our goal.
That is our aim, is to do that.
You know, we're doing many things in the background with, you know,
we're building an NFT book, which is a community collaborative project
where we've got a series of 10 books.
The aim is to have around 100 projects in each book.
And we want to bring 100 communities together to create one product
that showcases everybody.
And we want to utilize all the amazing networks and connections that we've
gained over the year and a half of this journey to really help
showcase all these amazing projects.
So that's our passion.
You know, that's where our heart lies.
And that's basically what we're about.
And thank you for asking.
Oops, I think it was just kicked from the space.
I thought he honked on me there.
I thought you got bored already.
Yeah, I only missed like 10 seconds of it.
I heard the majority of it.
That's awesome.
You know, my phone, I get so many notifications that I can barely use
my phone sometimes unless I put it on D&D.
And I was trying to actually go preemptively to a tweet that I had made
about a month ago so that I could pin it to the top.
And as I was like clicking around, the notifications came across the top.
And I clicked on one and it switched over to the April Union account.
So I got pulled out.
I apologize.
Yeah, it's all right.
I've tried to click on people's profiles in spaces
and I've accidentally kicked them myself.
So easily done, don't worry.
Is there anyone in the space, any friends of yours,
that you would want to bring up to the stage with you as well?
I mean, if anyone wants to come up from the community,
they're welcome to.
Shout out to Brandon, Eagles.
We got Jay Rocks West.
Those are the first ones that I see that are part of our community.
Eagles is actually one of our mods.
And I'm going to go ahead and say probably one of the most important
community members that we have.
If we had like a council, he'd basically be like the chairman of the board,
in my opinion.
And then we got Brandon, who's on our media team.
And Jay Rocks, just like these are people that literally don't miss a beat.
Like you say GM and they say GM back every day.
Those are the ride or dies that you cannot overlook
and you just have to take care of.
And then West, shout out to the Puff Puff Pandas.
I mean, I see you all the time as well.
And so just wanted to give you an honorable mention, of course.
But yeah, I mean, we have so many people that probably would have been here
had I got the information out.
Again, I apologize because this one kind of slipped my mind.
And I've been living in the fast lane lately,
just trying to sometimes doing a lot of triage work
and just keep the community engaged during these like in between events
milestones where we're not quite ready to publish something,
but everyone's like eager.
But if you don't stay on it, they lose interest.
And so sometimes I just get blasted with DMs and forget.
But anyways, yeah, we're here now and enjoying a nice Saturday.
But yeah, if you guys want to come up, feel free.
Otherwise, I usually just hop up on the mic
and represent the community to the best of my ability,
because I am the community, one of the members anyway.
And your guys' community is super active and super supportive.
And I absolutely love to see that.
And I just wanted to do that.
Shout out as well to Mike Smart from Netabuilders
and the Netabuilders ecosystem,
because the way that they've supported the community
communities is on an absolute another level.
And the way they've helped us integrate over into Web3
and utilize their ecosystem has been an absolute game changer,
because without their support,
we never could have achieved the things that we're now able to achieve.
And I just wanted to fit that in.
That was where I was sort of leading to before.
So you'd been kicked.
So I'm glad that you're back.
And I could just say that,
because just like you were saying,
there's people in your ecosystem that you just couldn't,
you know, you couldn't function without,
and they make such an impact that you can't not mention that.
So super excited to learn about you and your community
and your ecosystem and what you guys have been building.
And I appreciate you joining on the lesson.
Don't worry about things slipping your mind.
We're all living in the fast lane and building
and networking and notifications on all 50 of the applications
we're using on an hourly basis.
It's almost impossible to keep up.
So thank you for giving us your time tonight.
Yeah, no worries at all.
In the spirit of not getting pulled out of the space,
I'll wait for a little bit until I try to pin up a tweet
and go looking for it.
But yeah, just a little information about us.
We've been around for about,
I guess you could say 15, 16 months officially.
We dropped in April last year as a free mint.
A lot of people say we started the free mint meta.
So I don't know whether we did or we didn't,
but we came into the scene as builders
to reverse a lot of wrongs that have been done.
We whitelisted and prioritized people from wrong projects.
Our goal was to put really good pixel art
in as many people's hands as possible.
And then in the back of our minds,
it was how can we provide a blue chip experience
without getting someone to pay us a couple hundred dollars up front,
but instead allowing them to decide what the project was worth
and then seeing how that would handle itself
on the open free market.
And then that went really well actually, believe it or not.
Even though people, after we had done a free mint,
it kind of became like a normal thing.
But we went on to do quite a few things
before a lot of projects out there
and produce a lot of ideas and contributions to the ecosystem,
in my opinion.
One of those things we did was that we animated every trait
in our collection.
And so six weeks after we dropped,
we actually produced a fully animated version
of every one of our PFPs in our 10,000 piece collection.
And we published that out in a way
that our community members could select that option,
gasless with a wallet transaction.
And then that actually shows up on the marketplace.
So that was pretty cool.
Basically you go on OpenSea
and you can see that every token has a game character version
that's animated, the animation of the PFP
and then the still PFP.
But mostly we like to pride ourselves
in being a software company.
I mean, we have this cool pixel art.
It serves as like the pass to our software.
And software we've created is like our own rarity tool.
But more poignantly, our MMORPG game called Reunion.
And so after completing Roadmap 1,
we stood up our own gaming ecosystem,
which is really in its infancy.
Like it's pretty bare bones skeleton version right now,
but it's multiplayer out of the gate.
It's mostly mobile compatible.
We have a few things we need to fix,
but for the most part, it's mobile compatible already
because it's a browser-based game
just gated by a wallet connect feature.
And your PFP of an April union doubles
as your ability to play the game,
but also as your game character.
You get to run around as your PFP in a little world
that we created specifically for these apes
with the feedback of our community.
And so it's pretty cool that we've had
a couple hundred people in there at once,
somewhere around 1,500 people have played our game.
And we've been really chill about the marketing of it
because it is so early
and we're not quite ready to blast it out to the world
like where we just don't stop talking about it.
And we're not onboarding other communities yet into it,
but we've had really good feedback
and even like Twitch streamers stream the game
and just see what's possible and go,
wow, there's a lot of promise here.
And tangentially to that,
we've put an enormous amount of effort
into building a community
and restructuring our community as well.
Obviously, when we first started,
many people got in due to the free mint
and then we kind of made this transition
over to like a gaming type community.
But there's just so many components
to what we're doing
and what we've brought to the web3 space.
We have a couple other collections kind of in the queue,
mostly done actually,
like in quite a few other platforms built out,
getting close to releasing for our ecosystem
and delivering some more value to our Genesis holders.
But ultimately, yeah, our goal out here
is to innovate in the space
and create a game ecosystem that's blockchain-centric
and we're really trying to keep a lot of the development
of what we do wrapped around the blockchain
and not just create another game that saturates the market,
but try to give value to PFPs
and add more utility to them
other than just utilizing third-party resources,
really leveraging our own development expertise
and our own ideas.
And so we'll probably spend,
you know, we have a few collections,
like I said, that we're going to launch this year.
One is an Ordinals collection.
One is two of them are ETH collections
that build onto our gaming ecosystem,
and then we'll spend the rest of the year adding new gameplay to our game,
which includes PVP and PVE and Questing and all that stuff.
And probably even maybe it's possible that this weekend
we actually ship our Discord integration,
where our community members can actually finally talk to each other
in the game using Discord,
and that's connected to our existing Discord server.
So it's going to be great because they're already using the tool,
and we just found a way to kind of make it
so that you don't have to, you know,
use four different tools at once.
You can do it all in the game.
And we're trying to do that with quite a few things,
Twitter and Discord, to name a few.
So yeah, we're just a tiny little indie gaming project
that really loves pixel art,
and we have a cool community that has supported us
and just trying to do right by them
and continually uphold a standard in Web 3
that I think a lot of projects forego.
You know, people know us as like an integrity-based team,
and yes, we've pivoted a few times,
and we've missed the mark in terms of deliverable dates and whatnot.
But we always follow through on what we promise,
and, you know, people see the larger vision
and understand when we've got to shift,
and it's always hard, but by and large...
What sort of game are you going for?
Say that again.
What sort of games are you sort of aiming for?
What sort of styles are you kind of thinking about going down?
Well, there's a lot of ideas for minigames and stuff,
but like the overarching inspiration is like
do Valley and Rust, don't starve.
Those are like some of our premier like models
that we really appreciate,
and a lot of people would say it's like kind of a pitch that we've given,
which is like we're trying to be the runescape of Web 3,
and so, you know, it's going to take a while to get there
to the point where we have a grand exchange
and a full in-game economy that people are interested in,
but we have the world to accommodate it,
and it's only the first island, you know, that we've created,
which, you know, takes about 45 minutes for people to travel across,
but, you know, there's so many things we can do
between like creating new islands and travel between them
and this ability to collect NFTs that bring utility in the game
and also cosmetically enhance your character
or maybe give you some skill base buff in the game
and not just be able to sell them on secondary market,
but be able to equip them to your actual Genesis NFT
and do some unique things there as well,
but those are the main inspirations.
It's like the in-game stuff.
You know, we're trying to have mini games.
Main things are like fishing in Discord.
That's a really base level game mechanic that we're trying to have
where in all of the bodies of water in this little world that we have,
you'll be able to catch fish, you know,
but because there's a survival component,
and like I said, those inspirations, you really take those fish,
cook them over a campfire, use like a recipe menu,
and try to survive in some of the tougher areas to get to in reunion
where maybe there's better loot or harder enemies to fight,
and so we will probably adopt, and we've worked out a model
where when you land into the game itself,
you land in a safe zone, like center of the map, basically,
and over time, as we continue developing the storyline,
as you get further and further away from the safe zone
or the center of the map,
the ability to survive will probably become a lot more difficult,
and the enemies that you encounter will become a lot more serious
and harder to beat,
and the night cycles will become a little longer,
making it harder for you to stay alive and throw down a campfire at night,
so you probably want to travel with your friends,
but the risk might be worth the reward
when you get to the outskirts of reunion
and some of the secret areas that we're intending for players to discover,
like the underworld of reunion,
but yeah, there's that component, survival stuff,
and then, of course, there's going to be mini games and stuff.
Like I said, fishing, we want to do things like a small golf game.
We want there to not just be skill-based gameplay,
where you have to work really hard to get good at something,
but also just a social experience,
where if you don't want to have to survive,
you can own a typical plot of land and build on it,
like you would in Minecraft,
not obviously a 3D form,
but build it in our style,
where you can have an estate and have lawn ornaments
and do fun things with your friends,
and you can use chat or proximity chat and stuff like that
to hang out with people,
but if you want to go on an adventure or gather clues
and come in to check off the daily quests,
you can do stuff like that.
Ultimately, the idea is that there'll be something for everyone,
and the last stop along that journey will be PvP,
where there'll be exactly what it sounds like in a arena
with skill-based fighting,
and our hope is that you'll be able to wage your NFTs against one another,
whether that's a simple armory item
or that is an actual bonafide PFP.
I don't think we want to see people losing their PFP,
but like I said, everything we're trying to do is in the form of an NFT,
so that way if you earn it, you obtain it,
you can go out in the marketplace and sell it.
So you might be able to, say, put up your land claim
or some other NFT like an ordinal that we put out there,
something that represents ownership over the NFT,
and if you lose, that item transfers to your friend and whatnot.
So that's kind of like the later stage of what we're trying to do for now.
We're trying to implement some of the base-level functionality
to create a fun place that people just want to check into daily,
and as we start integrating some of these key features
like Discord integration,
we'll start enabling things like daily quests and weekly quests,
weekly challenges, like items that make people actually want to check in
and log into the game,
and then of course we'll scale it to other communities and whatnot.
So yeah, that is like an extremely long-winded spiel.
However, you asked the question,
but I'll hand it back over to you and say,
that's all I got in terms of just the introduction,
but if you guys have any other questions, feel free,
like, kind of got the lay of the land now.
I think Zia wanted to jump in with a question.
Yeah, it did indeed. Fire away, Zia.
I was just wondering, for anyone who was listening,
where could they find the game?
Yeah, so the game itself is token gated,
but it's going to be at world.apriunion.xyz.
But the cool thing is that once you own an apriunion NFT,
you can instantly load into the game.
You cannot actually enter the game without one of our NFTs.
So right now, while we are developing this end-to-end product,
it's just being done within our own community, basically.
Only if you own the token can you play the game.
That won't always be the case, but for now, that is.
But yeah, like I said, there's nothing holding you back.
If you go to OpenSea, pick up an apriunion,
you'll actually see in the bio as well,
like a quick link to get to our Metaverse.
If you go to our website, apriunion.xyz,
you'll see a Metaverse tab, and you just click on it.
Wallet Connect, you do a gaussless wallet signature
to authenticate your session, and boom,
you land right in the middle of reunion
at what we call the bastion.
Yeah, that is pretty incredible and very community-driven,
and I absolutely love that.
I was looking at it the other day,
and there's a section about land as well.
Are you able to go into a bit more detail about that?
Can you buy land and rent land or build on it?
Is that a feature that you guys are looking at
or doing at the moment?
Yeah, for sure.
We want to make sure that we've thought about it
for a long time.
The short answer is yes.
The longer medium to long answer is that
we're going to be doing land in a little different way.
There's going to be a seasonality component to reunion,
and so after a certain period of time,
the map will either change slightly or reset,
and then the inventory that players gather
will actually be wiped to some degree.
Not the NFT portions, but there are consumable items
that you might start a new season,
and you need to gather certain resources like wood
or mushrooms or things that you can use
to craft items that are consumable,
but they're not necessarily needing to carry over to different seasons.
Anyways, the point is that the way we're trying to do land
is you'll have a land claim,
and you'll actually at the beginning of the season
be able to run and claim a piece of land for that season
is what we're thinking.
During that season, you'll be able to have an estate
where imagine a UI where when you enter the house,
you see the internals of the house,
and you might have your own furniture and decor in there.
You have rooms and stuff,
and so you can bring your friends in there.
Your real estate will be a safe zone, basically.
Imagine when we have survival mechanics,
and the only way to stay alive
is to either work really hard or get to a safe zone,
and one of those safe zones will be your house
or somebody in your faction's house.
So if you're on Team Blue, for instance,
and you're in one corner of the map,
but some Team Blue player has a piece of land there.
When you go to that house, you might be safe,
but as soon as you leave that parcel,
you're going to have to work or survive together
between just the day and night cycles and random PvE enemies,
and then just the health and hunger aspect,
simple survival mechanics like that.
But we also want to have a sense of permanence as well.
So our ideas around that is not that you'll own
one particular piece of land in perpetuity
for the duration of you being the owner of a token,
but more so, you'll own the ability to claim a piece of land in a season.
And then if you decide to participate in that season at the beginning of it,
you'll log in, run, claim your land.
There might be some strategy involved to where you decide to plop down
your land claim at the beginning of the season.
And then, yes, of course, you'll be able to build on it and whatnot.
And those things like your estate and the furniture
and all the decor and those items that you use
to decorate your estate will probably preserve that stuff
because estates themselves are meant to be modular.
We've actually already created over 10 different types
of little dwellings that people can build.
And so they will be able to, in between seasons,
particularly go in their house and hang out
because there might be downtime, maintenance times
where we have to take reunion down for a couple days
in between seasons to redo the map
until we're much further down the development pipeline
where we can launch a new season seamlessly
without going down for maintenance.
But in between seasons, you'll still be able to enter your house
and play with your furniture.
Just do little fun game stuff.
It's not going to be anything crazy.
But when there's survival and stuff, it'll be a lot more serious.
And I guess I should add, there's a whole game.
There's a gameplay style that we are intending on launching
after we get through some of the stuff
that we've already promised, which is called turf wars.
And that will rely heavily around factions
and actually claiming different land pieces.
And so you'll be able to, not only on the map,
you'll be able to see who owns land where
based on their factions, you'll be able to compete
with one another to take control of the map.
And the idea there is that at the end of a season,
if your faction remains in control of the map,
that you will be able to basically
mint some of the items out of your inventory
as NFTs into the reunion armory.
And so the land itself will exist
in the reunion armory collection, which is an 1155 token.
And so when we launch the reunion armory,
you're going to see all kinds of stuff in there.
It's meant to be a massive collection of weapons skins,
cosmetic items for your game characters, land deeds,
treasure chests that you'll be able to open or burn
or sell in the secondary.
But at least in our minds, it's not
going to sit there as a piece of land with a coordinate on it.
Anyways, that's the way we're intending on doing that.
Yeah, that is pretty remarkable, actually.
I'm super excited about that because that is a lot more
than I was actually originally imagining the way
that you was going to put this together.
So that's pretty incredible.
So big respect for that.
And there's a lot of detail and direction involved with that
as well, and that's really impressive.
And in regards to the things that you guys are building,
have you got a team of people that are building that already?
Or is it like an open source project
where people in the community can get involved?
What's the infrastructure involved with that?
Yeah, no, we haven't open sourced anything.
Our entire repo is private on purpose
because we've actually think we've created a few ideas
that are actually unique to us.
And so we keep it all just sealed pretty tight between just us.
And the main developer is Rug Doctor, my main business partner.
And then we also have ApeSon, who is now starting to develop
in the game itself.
And together we do all the design work and all the QA
and all the brainstorming and stuff.
But yeah, all the development's done by just basically two people
in terms of actually writing the code.
And then in terms of the overall design,
we definitely aren't averse to community ideas.
In fact, we actually reach out to our community quite a bit.
And we don't even have to reach out to them, even though we do.
They reach out to us and they give us plenty of ideas and opinions.
And I think we have kind of a reputation for trying to do a good job
at incorporating community-based ideas when it comes to that stuff.
And we haven't outsourced any of the development work in terms of the game.
Maybe there probably will become a point where we start to outsource
different modules and components and whatnot.
But I think we're probably at least a year away from that
until we have more of the framework in place of what we're trying to do.
And it's not just the game as a piece of software.
It's the interactivity on the NFT token as well.
That's a software deployment.
So if you go to the NFTs on OpenSea at Apry and you click on a token,
if someone's enabled it, you can see the game character
and you can toggle through a couple different pages.
Some of the stuff we're doing is going to rely heavily on that feature.
I guess just an example to tie it together.
So we made our own art studio for the community
where they can go in and they can create NFT.
They can create content based around their NFTs,
export it, use it on Twitter, create their own banners,
do stuff like that.
And that set the stage for a game customization tool
where you can create your own characters
and then apply your items like weapons and skins that you earn in game
that are eventually going to be NFTs.
And so what it would look like is you load into Reunion
with your Apry Union NFT.
So let's say you run to a corner of the map,
you complete a challenge.
That challenge gives you a rare sword skin
and that sword skin itself is an 1155 NFT.
You go to the game customization tool,
you equip that skin to your character
and that skin and the character show up
to the display of that NFT on the marketplace.
And then when somebody buys that NFT,
if you decide to sell it with that item equipped to it,
both items sell it once.
So you price it accordingly for both of those NFTs
that'll be transferred upon the purchase.
And it's kind of like a cyclical loop in that sense.
Wow, absolutely mind-blowing, super impressive.
And I was also looking at the metadata aspect of it as well,
which I think is really impressive.
Are you able to talk about that in a bit more detail?
In which sense?
Because like right now, as far as the metadata goes
with our existing Genesis collection,
yeah, I guess which sense do you mean by the metadata?
Just in regards to how it's utilized,
if I'm understanding it correctly,
will that be used to calculate people's statistics
and remember their journey through the metaverse?
Yeah, that's a good question.
So metadata really only holds information about the traits
on each of the tokens in the original collection.
Some of the new stuff that we're doing
will have some added metadata utility
in terms of being able to see if an NFT can be regenerated
with new DNA, basically, if you wanted to add
or take away traits and whatnot.
As far as saving game progress,
we're actually going to be utilizing another NFT to do that.
And it's going to be called a memory shard.
And all of your stats and progress,
once we're like full blown end to end product
and we launch seasonality component,
the things you do like different milestones,
different achievements, different levels, different buffs,
all of that will be saved onto a memory shard,
which is an NFT.
And so you can basically take your experience
and your progress.
And if you make it to a save point in the game,
save it to that NFT.
So then you can go to the open market with your memory shard
and sell that game progress.
So if somebody wants to load in at like a much higher level
than just a vanilla a per union experience,
they could buy a level 20 memory shard
and maybe come in with some added experience
and added stats and added credibility,
which maybe gives them access to a special part of a reunion
that they wouldn't have got access to otherwise,
stuff like that.
And so, again, we're trying to keep it blockchain centric.
Obviously, it's easy to track a lot of this stuff
that happens in game just to a database.
And that's basically what we're doing,
but we're going to do it in a way that it's on chain
with a layer too,
so that it costs you basically pennies or less
to save your game progress
and then gives you the ability to monetize the time.
And then additionally, if you own multiple characters,
you can transfer that progress around to different characters.
So you can choose to play as a different ape every day,
or you can just make your own game character
with the traits that you have aggregated
between all of your apes.
And again, like you'll just apply your memory shard to it
when there's like skill-based, level-based gateways
in the world, whereas right now there's not,
and there's no achievement system,
but that definitely is a core component of the game
and basically any game that you play.
So that's our way of trying to keep it on chain
and like web 3 centric as well.
Yeah, that's incredible.
And it sounds like a really great way to do that,
especially if it's only going to cost, you know,
a couple of pence to save that game data.
But to be able to monetize that as well,
that's a really cool feature.
You know, if people can monetize the time,
you know, it adds an extra value to the metaverse, doesn't it?
Yeah, I mean, when you talk about play to earn,
that's a huge component, you know,
not forfeiting your experience or your XP
as like we normally know it as.
And to be able to like move that around
to different characters or just be able to sell it
and start over if you're proficient
maybe you like want to do that every season.
Maybe that's a strategy for someone to earn
as much as they can is like in every season,
they level up a memory shard as far as they can
and then they sell it off at the end of the season
and then, you know, start over and, you know,
we'll see like because there's definitely some intervention
that we can do to encourage some of that activity as well.
But yeah, all in all,
it's like it's a nice way to make the most of your time,
not just relying on, you know, RNG, for instance,
to find or get the rarest items or the most powerful tools
that might help you accelerate in the game,
but just the experience alone.
And it's like another grow component
that would often be overlooked.
Yeah, absolutely.
And is the NFC rarity,
does that play any part in the metaverse
or what you, you know, you enter the world with
or is the rarity district based on the NFT itself?
The rarity doesn't affect skill-based gaming,
but it may affect other things.
We've said no to it in the past
because we don't want to create a pay-to-win scenario
where like just because you own the most expensive rare NFT
and April union that you automatically reap the benefits,
it's actually makes it like when you're doing things
that result in like earnable credits,
so to speak, as an NFT,
like we just want to be really careful at that
because basically what we would be doing is saying like,
if you own the most expensive one,
you're going to reap the most rewards from this
and it kind of like creates like a weird,
like an economy dynamic that we're going to try to avoid.
But there's other ways that rarity will have some interest
and be able to do some stuff with,
but we'll never use rarity for like a skill-based gaming side of our world.
Yeah, no, that's pretty cool.
And it makes sense when you put it like that, to be fair.
No, that's pretty awesome.
And I was going to ask as well in regards to, you know,
with your, your metaverse in regards to partnerships,
are you guys looking to that partner and, you know,
be able to connect your world with other worlds
or will it just be a specific to April union
or is that not, are you not that far down the line yet?
We're not that far down the line yet.
I mean, we, in my head, we are,
but things just always take longer than I want them to.
But in terms of like interoperability,
I mean, it's actually a little easier than it sounds at like a base level,
like having the ability to enter a, let's say you enter a barn in reunion.
And when you enter that barn, it opens up like a mini UI
that allows you to load into another metaverse.
That's actually not that hard.
And we can do that fairly easy.
What is hard is to integrate all the traits and the items
and things, you know, that's like really the big allure,
I think of web3 gaming is that ability to take items from one game to another.
And so obviously to do that, there's some work,
like it doesn't just happen magically like you would want it to,
you know, we would have to integrate into another product
and into a couple other products.
And then we'd have to like make sure that like all of our items
and all these traits integrate in.
But what would be cool is if we, yeah, we would love it
if you could take your axe from reunion and then, you know,
walk into a shed that would migrate you over to the sandbox
and you load into the sandbox and you still have your axe
and you can use that axe in the sandbox.
It really just comes down to like making the time to integrate into those worlds.
For pixel worlds, it's not that complicated.
But for our project, we've just avoided it because of the dimensionality.
Our NFTs tend to be a little larger than most pixel worlds,
which was one of our motivations for creating our own.
We wanted it to be like color correct and sized properly
for the April Union NFT, which is, you know, 128 by 120,
or maybe it's 96.
But I think it's 128 by 120.
It's unconventional for like World Wide Web Land, for instance.
We have to like scale down our NFT quite a bit.
And so, yeah, there's like basic ways we can do it.
We're not there yet.
Yeah, no, it makes sense.
But still really exciting though.
It sounds like you guys have really got it all figured out.
And I think it's amazing how your community are really getting behind you
and supporting the development.
And they sound like they're really patient
and want to help you guys get it right.
And it sounds like you guys are really on track with that.
So a huge shout out to that because the amount of time and effort
and energy that you guys have clearly put into the structure
of everything that you're doing, I just think is amazing.
And a real example of how to successfully build in this industry
and how to grow a community is absolutely admirable
and appreciate the way you guys have done this.
It's super exciting to know that it's just so easy to get involved
in your community and enjoy what you guys are building.
But obviously for you guys, the hours and effort
that you're putting in to get it to where it is is a lot.
So, you know, huge respect for that.
Yeah, I appreciate it.
I mean, a big shout out to the community for just hanging on
because, you know, we obviously run into hiccups
and we've delivered a lot, but we're also very ambitious.
And sometimes we think we can get a bunch more done
than what we can in a certain allotment of time.
And those individuals that have stuck around our community,
I think see the bigger picture, that's why they're still here.
And nothing against individuals who have left or sold,
they've had their own reasons.
But by and large, you know, I think we're at a point
in at least our existence after about 15 months or so
that community members still a part of this April Union community
kind of see the bigger picture of what we're trying to do,
know that it's not an overnight process.
And we also have some like near term delivery
that can offer, you know, some wins for the community,
hopefully give them the ability to participate
in some of the fun that's happening,
even potentially making some profits if possible.
You know, obviously we're not, that's not why we're doing it,
but that there is a nice strategic byproduct
if we can like get things out the door at the right timing
and everything's aligned that our community can benefit in that sense.
But overall, I think those participants that still exist in our community
just really have seen our track record
and still believe that, you know, these guys are the real deal.
They're not just blown smoke.
Yeah, things have been delayed here and there,
but we know that they're going to deliver.
And that's honestly one of the hardest things to find in the NFT space.
And it's extremely underrated.
We're held to a much higher standard than most people,
most projects, I think,
simply because we've done a pretty damn good job
at shipping quite a few things in a year's time.
And that's a good,
it's a good thing that we're held to a much better standard.
But overall, you know, it's hard to find.
And I just, I'm grateful that we have that
and we just got to keep working hard to maintain that reputation.
We definitely don't want to lose momentum
and lose the support of our community
just because things take time to develop.
Yeah, absolutely.
And that comes with these challenges in its own right.
But there's a clue doing a great job of that.
And like I was saying before, I've got a lot of respect for that.
And I love the fact that, you know,
the way you guys are putting this together
is that there's going to be so much earning opportunity in the future
that it's a project you can kind of get into at any time
because, you know, you can earn NFTs.
You've got a secondary market.
There's things you can collect and build inside the metaverse.
And I think that just brings a really enjoyable factor
to what you guys have put together
because, you know, one of the big things with a lot of NFT projects
is when you get in and what price you can get in at.
And it's clearly more than just a buy-to-flip type project.
And we have got huge respect for that at the community communities
because, you know, that just provides longevity.
And that's you guys building an ecosystem
that's obviously here to stay
and people can enjoy being a part of
and, you know, get all excited about what you guys are building
because I'm super excited about it.
I think it's incredible.
And, you know, I just want to say you've explained it so perfectly
and it makes so much sense.
We've covered everything in such a way that's so understandable.
So I appreciate, you know, and you can clearly tell you about practice doing so.
So I appreciate that you've explained that in a way that just makes sense.
I mean, thanks for saying that.
Sometimes I feel so long-winded
and I overcomplicate some of this stuff.
And, yeah, we're doing some complicated stuff.
But I do also try really hard to make it as simply digestible
as possible.
Maybe the fact that I, right before this meeting, exercised my horse,
aka went out and rode my horse to give it some exercise
and then quickly had a Modelo with a lime, which is a beer.
I'm not sure if you're aware of that.
But I had a beer at lunch today in this nice, sunny,
Southern California weather I'm out in.
And it just kind of set the stage to have a nice conversation.
Yeah, I love it.
But, no, that's why we do the spaces the way that we do them.
You know, there's a lot of spaces out there that do have, like,
10, 15 guests with 5, 10, 20-minute slots.
And as, you know, effective as they are,
we try and just have one or two guests that have got an hour to,
you know, really talk about the project.
And it doesn't come across long-winded to me personally
because I really want to know the information.
And, you know, it's important to learn all the things about a project
before you look at, you know, investing or getting involved.
And we want people to get a feel of you guys that are building this
and, you know, hear what you're talking about
and, you know, the things that you describe
and the way you conduct yourselves.
And also go into more detail about your project
and get a better understanding of it
and give it be a reason that people want to go and do more research
into what you guys are talking about.
So we try and, you know, have that way of conducting this platform
so that people can have that time to explain.
Because, you know, what you guys are building,
you can't explain that in 5 or 10 minutes.
I mean, you can't even explain it all in an hour.
There's just so much involved in it.
But having that time to do that just enables you to be able to relax
and just, you know, go through all the information,
explain what you guys are about and, you know,
hopefully gives people the chance to really get a feel of you
and your projects and your ecosystem
and, you know, get a better understanding.
So I hope that that felt like the case to you tonight also.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, there's definitely some stuff I didn't cover
that I think is good information to share.
So like in a super quick summary,
I'll just let you guys know if you go by an April union,
you can obviously enter our metaverse right now.
And it's a fun experience, especially if it's your first time.
There's a lot to discover.
I remember the first time, you know,
we shipped the version that's out now.
I definitely pulled a couple all-nighters
just running around collecting loot,
crafting new weapons, having a good time.
Definitely encourage you to buy an ape, check it out.
You'll see that we have our own rarity tool.
We made it. We have our own game.
We have our own art studio.
And pretty soon, we're going to be shipping
a new collection called Reunion Species.
And it consists of 10 different characters that are not apes,
but they are pixel art characters
that will be used in game to play the game.
And some of them will be humans.
Some of them will be zombies, robots, you know,
wolves, all kinds of different stuff
to kind of move beyond just the ape meta
and to expand the diversity of the characters.
We have a large female character presence
because we really wanted to create something attractive
and add to that as well
and invite more participants from that side of the ecosystem.
And so if you hold three apes,
you'll be able to claim one of those for free.
You'll have to stake your apes to do that by pledging loyalty.
And you'll be able to claim one of those Reunion Species for free.
That's going to be a small collection,
all in all, about 3,500 in total.
But what's cool is for every one that you mint,
you can actually generate new ones.
And what I mean by that is if you don't like the first version of it,
you actually get a few chances at regenerating it
to walk away with one that you like the most.
And so that'll be really cool.
We've added some cool utility in that.
And basically behind that collection is a 10K collection,
but there's only 3,500 that'll end up being minted in completion
when all is said and done.
So adding some new modularity there.
We're also shipping a Bitcoin Ordinals collection.
I'm not going to give all the full details on that
because there's going to be some dope surprises with it.
And it's actually going to look a little bit different
than this other species collection
in the sense that we probably will actually have a public sale,
but there's going to be some unique opportunities
for our community to get priority access and join that way.
But we'll probably use it.
We're going to be using it as a fun,
like a cool way to make our mark.
But also raise some capital for our project
and be able to fund some of the ideas that we have,
but also bring new people into our ecosystem.
And we're not going to make any promises with it,
but, you know, if you've stuck around long enough
to know what's beneath the hood
and why we create NFTs in our ecosystem,
you could probably read between the lines,
but we're just going to ship it as, like,
no utility promised, fire, art,
and, you know, hold on and see what happens
and go from there.
And then, of course, we're going to be shipping
the reunion armory as well.
And so if you only own one ape
and then you pledge loyalty and stake,
you can use your legend shards to buy treasure chests
out of the reunion armory, which are 1,155 NFTs.
You can burn those and reveal items, game items,
or you can actually just go sell them at face value
or, you know, whatever chest they are
and people might buy them, or you can hold on to them.
So there's a lot of ways to participate in the ecosystem,
whether you own one or three.
And we have a few things coming in our near-term pipeline
to try to add some exciting, rewarding elements
to community members and holders of the project.
So worth mentioning, and there's some, like,
fun innovation in that as well, that, you know,
along with some of the stuff that we talked about today,
some of the new stuff is yet again, thing,
mechanics and ideas that I think other projects will adopt,
as we've seen with some of the early stage things we did,
like animating our whole collection and whatnot.
And that's, it really fits the ethos.
One of our core missions, which is adding,
like really innovating in this space on the blockchain,
not just adding stuff just to add it and, you know, create value.
That's how we create value is, like, actually innovate
and integrate all this stuff into a product.
Anyways, I just wanted to add it because it's fun
and it's coming quick.
You know, thank you for covering that.
Like I said, there's absolutely no rush, you know,
in regards of what you say and how in-depth you go.
The more in-depth, the better we love that.
That's what we're about.
And, you know, we really enjoy this.
And, you know, we're super, super nerds on that front
because we think it's absolutely fascinating.
And there's so much going on in your guys' ecosystem
and so many things to look at and talk about.
I think it's amazing.
And you guys have done an incredible, incredible job.
And, you know, a massive shout out to Lady Wings as well
for connecting us.
You know, she is amazing.
And, you know, we've got a lot of love for her over here
and super grateful.
And it's amazing how it only takes one person
to connect, you know, so many people.
And we absolutely love that with what we do.
But in regards of everything you've just said,
absolutely mind-blowing and a lot of information
for people to, you know, digest and dive into.
And it's an amazing project, you know.
The way you've gone about adding value to the NFTs
and, you know, the continuous things that you can do.
And the pets aspect of it, I think that is a really cool feature.
And the fact that you can, you know, you can change it
if you're not happy with it, I just think is super cool.
Fair play on that.
Because I was actually reading that on your website
and I was going to ask a little bit about that
because I noticed that in the description of it, you know,
it said, you know, can they fight with the question mark,
which, you know, leaves that open to, you know,
the possibilities of the future in regards of what those guys can do,
which is obviously also exciting.
But I also love the, I also love the, you know,
the routines are taken in regards of each season
behind the metaverses and, you know, in regards of land
and how people can sort of build.
And it also prevents that, you know,
one person dominating everything type,
pay-to-win game, which I just think is brilliant
because it just gives more people a chance to enjoy it
because, you know, not everyone is die-hard gamers
and not everyone can get involved in things
as much as other people on a financial standpoint.
So I think it's brilliant that you've really added
that community fun side to it.
So I think there's a lot for people to enjoy in regards to that.
Yeah, thanks.
Shout out to Lady Wings for making the connection.
I really appreciate her.
She's been around our community for well over a year
and just been an amazing person to have within the April Union.
And man, I always try, I really do try to answer the DMs quickly
and get to all of them.
I don't always get to them, but I think I do a pretty good job.
And compared to most people out there,
you would not believe the amount of DMs I have.
So I hope I can continue that reputation
of like being responsive and easy to work with
and getting back and having good communication.
I'm always working on that.
Yeah, well, you got to me pretty quickly to say that, you know,
I messaged you and you got back and jumped in
and shared it real quick.
So thank you very much for that.
And I can imagine the level of DMs you get.
And, you know, every time I've reached out,
you've responded every single time.
And I had huge respect for that
because I understand that you guys have got a lot going on.
You know, I can clearly see everything you guys are doing
in your ecosystem.
And, you know, I've been paying attention to myself
because I really enjoy what you guys are doing
and how you're doing it.
And with the passion that we've got in Web3
and connecting communities, you know,
we were looking forward to speaking to you tonight.
So I'm really glad that you jumped in last minute
and, you know, gave us your time because, you know,
we've totally understand how precious time is
and how much people have got going on.
And, you know, with what I've learned tonight,
I'm super excited about it.
I think you guys have done an incredible job and huge respect.
I know that by the sounds of the way you are,
you won't slow down to admire any of it yourself just yet.
But you one day will maybe slow down and just take a look
and just, you know, give yourself a pat on the back
because you've done incredible.
And, you know, you can see the community are happy.
They're engaging.
They're enjoying it.
And, you know, they're spreading the word and supporting.
And that is amazing.
And that isn't easy.
It isn't easy at all.
So huge, huge respect for that.
Yeah, I appreciate that.
Well, thanks, guys.
That was awesome.
I basically just spent an hour talking your head off,
I feel like.
But thanks for giving us the stage.
Thanks for having us.
I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation
about, you know, the feature in a crypto mag
and, you know, if all works out there.
But thanks for your hospitality today
and just being so courteous.
It's been really great to hang out with you guys.
Yeah, thank you.
I really appreciate it.
And yeah, absolutely.
Whatever does or doesn't happen, you know,
we'll still be just as involved in, you know,
getting to know you guys more and connected
and hopefully helping you guys do what you do.
And, you know, just enjoy being a part of the community
because that's what this is about.
It's about lifting each other up.
And, you know, people don't always directly work alongside
each other, but they can still support each other
in respect of the industry.
You know, we're just trying to help strengthen web free.
And, you know, you guys have been amazing
and your community are doing incredible things as well
with you guys.
And it's impressive.
And we really do appreciate it.
I really enjoyed listening about the project.
It's definitely one I'm going to be keeping a close eye on.
Yeah, that's awesome.
That's awesome.
And we'd love to hear it.
So yeah, no, thank you very much.
And yeah, keep in touch and we appreciate you guys
dropping in.
It's been awesome and looking forward to hopefully
getting you guys on again in the future when, you know,
once you've got more information
and you've got more things going on,
we'd be more than happy to have you back.
That would be epic.
But yeah, ladies and gentlemen, that was Ape Reunion.
Check them out.
I've pinned something at the top myself just in case
anyone wants to go and look more further into it.
You can obviously click on Ape Mother's profile
and all the links are there as well for you to,
you know, get access to the website.
And, you know, the community is huge
and they are everywhere.
And, you know, big love to let everyone in the audience
listen to that as well.
You know, we really appreciate you coming and supporting
and just showcasing the power of community.
It means a lot.
It makes a difference.
And, you know, it's admired.
So thank you everyone for coming and showing support
to Ape Reunion as well.
Bacon, have you got any questions or tricky?
Have you guys got any questions you'd like to ask?
Just a final thing for Shaggy.
Enjoy your tattoo later.
I'm sure it's going to be an experience.
Yeah, for anyone that doesn't know what that is about,
Shaggy has his own radio station
and he's going to be having a tattoo
live on his radio station tonight
whilst his hosting his show,
By the Way, which is very unique
and very impressive, you know.
It'll be interesting to listen to what that sounds like.
So a fair play to that.
But yeah, no, thank you very much, Ape Mother.
Like I said, you explained that beautifully.
And, you know, we really appreciate you joining us tonight.
So thank you very much and same to all the community.
Appreciate all the support.
And we're looking forward to getting involved
in what you guys have got going on.
But if anyone has any questions in the audience,
please put your hands up.
If anyone wants to join the stage, you're more than welcome to.
And we've got some stuff going on ourselves
that we're looking forward to.
You know, we've got our NFT book.
We're trying to bring projects together
to work on something that helps showcase the power of Web3.
If anyone wants to know any more information about that,
please do reach out.
I always pin something at the top
of all the links to all the information.
The plan is to utilize Web3 to really showcase
the power of, you know, communities coming together
and working on one thing that showcases everybody.
We're looking forward to utilizing the crypto magazine
as well so that the projects that do get in the book,
we are going to have the book in the crypto magazine,
which is currently featured in 21 countries globally,
which is absolutely an incredible reach.
We've got a series of 10 books.
We're obviously working on the first book.
So the first book is 150 matic for a double-page spread
for people to get into the book.
And the plan is to have, we're going to max it out
at 100 projects, so 100 communities getting involved
with this NFT book.
And we're super excited about it.
So if any projects are interested in getting involved
and building this amazing project with us,
please do reach out.
And to everyone that's got the plus in the name,
thank you so much.
For anyone that doesn't know what that plus represents,
that's just a way of showcasing that we support Web3,
positivity, adding value, being in addition
to the community regardless of your skill set,
and we're all advocates of mental health as well.
So to all those that have added that, thank you.
And to all those that could potentially add it,
we appreciate it.
And when you do change your name,
it does remove your tick for a short period of time.
So we understand that that can put some people off.
But to anyone that does do that, we really, really appreciate it.
So thank you very much.
But yeah, has anyone else got anything else they'd like to add
before we call this to an end?
I will take that as a no.
Well, thank you everyone for joining.
We always leave with the same song that we start with.
But I also want to do a quick massive shout out
to MetaBuilders who are a Web3 services ecosystem.
They are an army of developers, artists, web designers,
you name it.
They do all things Web3.
They've been around since before Gary Vee.
They strengthen and support Web3 in every way possible,
the way that they onboard and support
and have so much knowledge and experience
that they share and guide people with.
They played an amazing role in helping us build
the community communities,
and everything they do is Web3 to the core.
So if there is anyone out there that wants to utilize
any Web3 services, if any developers reach out,
let us know and consider MetaBuilders
because they've really built up an amazing reputation
in this industry and rightly so.
And what we're trying to do is support
all the amazing projects in Web3
because the beauty of bringing communities together

Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
Talking about a revolution.
Wasting times and hearing more of their lives.
Sitting around waiting for emotion.
Don't you know?
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.

Talking about a revolution.
And finally the tiggers are starting to jump.
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
Talking about a revolution sounds like this.
