Good afternoon. Happy Saturday and welcome to the community communities web 3 space
We are so excited for tonight. It's gonna be amazing so many incredible guests
I'm definitely looking forward to the first guest tonight
We have not featured her yet
But I'm definitely looking forward to getting to know a massive shout out to Trey for making that amazing connection
I'll just give everyone a quick breakdown of how we conduct our spaces just so that you understand how we do things
It just makes it easier for you guys. So normally we have
One two hours space. We normally speak to two guests giving each guest a
60-minute slot each
So each guest has the potential of utilizing 60 minutes
You don't have to utilize the full 60 minutes if you don't wish to but most guests always
Utilized of one hour that they get tonight is a very special space
We are doing it a little bit different because we've got quite a few music guests that we're really excited to be featuring
We are featuring our first guest as normal and then I don't want to butcher your name
So I'll let you introduce yourself and tell everyone what your name is and then we have our second guest
Which is Louis C rhymes and then we've got a couple of other artists that are in their web 3 space doing music
So we're super excited about that
First of all, I'm gonna introduce our team up that is on stage and then once I've introduced our team
Then we will introduce the guests for tonight
So first of all, thank you everyone for joining anyone that drops down to that bottom right corner to the purple bubble drops a comment
Text some people re-shows the room. We really do appreciate it. We want to push this space out far and wide
Let's get some people in here
Let's get the energy up and let's get everyone excited because there are so many amazing guests that we're gonna be speaking to tonight
And we know that everyone's gonna absolutely love this space. So thank you to everyone that is in here right now
Without further ado, I will introduce our first co-host and co-team member tricky Buddha. How are you doing, brother?
It's tricky Buddha from defy space donkeys. Happy Saturday community of communities
Love seeing all the friendly faces in here and a music space. Let's go. I'm pumped looking forward to it
Actually trust minted a hip-hop edge like this would be good glad to see Louie's gonna come through. Let's go
Rev, how you doing today, man?
Let's go. I am doing very good. Thank you, bro
As if you just got a hip-hop head as well. That is awesome. Louie's gonna absolutely love that. But yes, no, I'm doing very good
Thank you. I am really excited about this music is got a very close place in my heart
I'm sure as with everybody I study music at college
I did music myself for the longest time so I've got a special passion for it
And I'm definitely looking forward to our guests for tonight. So yeah, thank you tricky glad you all well
We also have the bacon sandwich our co-host and co-team member. How are we doing bacon?
All right there in my darling's house everybody today. That's the nursery before it is today as a guy boys and girls
All is well, sir. All is well. Thank you all. But yes, definitely excited tonight
Yeah, big shout out to Trey as well who he's always working hard in the background
So you find these incredible guests and he just seems to have an endless supply
And they're always getting better and more amazing as time goes on. So what a legend definitely got a few tricks up his sleeve
I love it. But yes, anyway moving on we also have
Christian from the stray dogs Club the dog is official and the community community school team and does pretty much everything in the back end
From the development the website the artwork the boring stuff. So yeah, how are we doing Christian you good, brother?
I'm falling asleep from doing all this boring stuff
Seen about ten rabbits tonight today
No, I'm I'm glad I've got a music space on tonight. So I'm in the in the party mood. So let's do it
I've also posted everything everything we own our whole
Anything everything's in the comments. So if you want to go and check us out go there and and
See what we're doing
Yeah, well, that is awesome. That is actually awesome. Thank you for doing that Christian
Yeah, obviously as everyone does we've got many different socials
And if anyone wants to support or learn more about us like Christine said that's in the comments
So our website has all our information and we are all content creators at heart and ironically
We started over on tick-tock before we progressed over to all the other social medias as we're all content creators as well as everything else
So yeah, we appreciate any support on the other socials
Yeah, definitely go visit the website community communities like X YZ
It is it is genuinely a really good website
I I didn't have any expectations when Christian said that he'd set the website up and it was ready to rock and roll
Um the speed in which he accomplished such an amazing looking web page is just mind-blowing
I have no idea how he did that
But it's awesome. I mean, it's you know, just just check it out
Have a look at the website, you know, because he's created it for people to view so go go go look at it
And speaking of content creation as well actually I made a video today about an airdrop that's coming up for people that staked
Dimension token and dimension token was a token that was given out to free for people that bought Celestia
So way back when I was making content about Celestia said how cool it how cool it was
And how it was quite, you know, good infrastructure technology
And you know by staking it they would have the opportunities to
free tokens for other projects
And now that's starting to happen
It's been like three months since I made those videos about those tokens to stake
And now people are now starting to see the fruits of
Their labor of staking those tokens to receive other airdrops. It's the first many so i'm really excited
You know i've made this this idea that I want to make try and make thousands of pounds for my
For my followers this this year and we're off to a start now with
The tokens aren't out yet, but I basically worked out taking like how many I got
Working out the total supply circle in supply. I worked out a rough kind of price
so if it's a top 100 cryptocurrency, um, then it could be worth thousands even the
The smallest drops, um could be could be worth sort of 800 800 pounds to a thousand pound
So I just want to put that out there
So if you're not following me on social media, um, you should be because like got free shit coming out of yin yang
Excuse my language
Let's go follow all the socials just get up there selfless plug selfless plug
Exactly and you know what you do is so important and it's absolutely incredible the level of research and dedication you put into trying to
Help people for absolutely zero cost whatsoever
So i'm glad that you're finally starting to talk about it because the only reason that you're following isn't higher than it is
It's because you're so you're always selflessly trying to help people more than you are trying to promote yourself
So i'm glad and I hope you get used to it
And as soon as people see your content
They will realize what you're doing why and how you should be speaking about yourself more
So thank you back
And I just want to quickly get around to the rest of the people on stage and then introduce our guests
Because i'm really excited to speak to her for the first time and definitely not the last
But uh, we also have crypto in the building tonic. Are you working, sir?
Hey mickey, I am not working. I am chilling and looking forward to this space should be a good one
Let's go tony works
Basically eight days a week somehow, but he does it but yeah, I know nice one tony appreciate it, bro
And uh, thank you as always to all of your support
And we also have tray in the building tray. Happy saturday. My good friend. How are we sir?
We're doing really well over here. Um other than the pouring rain i'm
Really looking forward to hearing all the musicians rolling in
Let's go. Well, yeah, we had some strange weather today. Um, we had hailstones. We don't normally get hailstones
But we had uh quite a quite a downpour both my kids were outside in it at the time
um, my son was out on his bike and my daughter was out with her mates and um
Yeah, they they came back with like harrison came back and he um
His knuckles were all raw and they had like little red blotches all over it where he'd just been absolutely pelted by the uh by the hail
See in the uk that's about as chaotic as our weather gets you know
We get a bit of hailstone and people start trying to like tie the cars down because we're just absolutely shaken by it
You know anything above 15 mile an hour winds and we're petrified, you know
So, uh, you know, not like in uh, america where you'll get a tornado just pass through the street at 30 miles an hour
Casually just tearing houses up and it's just like oh, well, that's normal. Yeah, we don't get any of that
We had it in holland as well
I'll start in florida so we can stack up on liquor
Yeah, no one cares about florida. Uh, anyway now i'm just i'm just
Just kidding. Yeah, no funny enough. We actually have more tornadoes in the uk than we do in america
It's just all of us happen at sea because um, the uk is too boring. You know what i mean?
There's nothing really to rip up
I mean, you know
So the british to just fight back probably and destroy the tornadoes so they just hide from us and do it at sea and stuff
But anyway without further ado, I would like to introduce the star of this show
We have a new guest that we haven't featured yet
And I just want you to know any videos any websites any music you can pin everything you want to pin to the top of the space
You can pull out any music that you wish to play
So we're super excited for that
But without further ado, i'd love for you to tell me what your name is because I really don't want to say it wrong
But happy saturday. Welcome to the community community space. How are you doing tonight?
Hello, happy saturday. Um, my name is kailani. So
Hopefully that's not too hard for you, but I am very glad to be here
And I have also checked out the website as you mentioned for
Your community and it is excellent. So congrats to the makers of it
Thank you very much. Yeah very much a team effort, but no, thank you very much
Uh, yeah, so kalani right brilliant. Yeah, because I was going to call you kalani
So I'm I'm I knew I was going to butcher it. So yeah, no, I'm just gonna go with k
I'm gonna go with k because I think that's a safe option
That works
Yeah, brilliant, okay fantastic. Well kalani
Thank you for joining us. We are really excited that you are here
Um, just so that it's easier for you
What we normally ask guests to do when they join is just to give us a brief introduction of you as much as you would like to
Just who you are what it is that you do and then how it was that you found web3 if you wouldn't mind that would be
Yes, of course. Um
My name. Yeah, it's kalani. Um, I am a
Songwriter writer and I also work full-time in web3
So I have a full-time day job. Um, if you've heard of indexer or trade port
Or mercado, those are all brands that are owned by the company that I work for
I was a digital nomad for
six years so the people who
Started indexer company. I work for we have done a lot of traveling together, um, which has been really cool
so that's kind of like my full-time life and I
Have enjoyed web3, um and working full-time in the space because of the flexibility
It has also given me the time that I need to really dive into
Um the music side of my life too, which is why i'm here today. Um, I
um, i've i've been writing for a really long time, but it took me a while to get kind of the
courage and the
Learnings together to be able to produce my music. So I've been starting. I started that journey about two years ago. Um
And then how did I get involved in web3?
Before working in this space I was working for a couple other startups with actually the same people who run
The company that I work for now. Um
And I have been a big fan of gary v for a long time
so follow a lot of his content and when he started launching v friends, I
Just read everything that he had about nft's and I was like, okay
Gary v's involved in this like I gotta check it out and see what it is
And once I started about reading or reading about nft's I was like this actually makes sense like the idea of
digital and tradable collectibles
And so from there I was just able to start getting involved in different communities
made a lot of friends and this is
Where i've met a lot of the people on
My like small music team. I guess you would say too like i'm at my producer through
Web 3 and some mentors as well. So
Yeah, that's just a little about me
That's awesome. All right, i'll look here at track. No, i'm just playing. Um, I'll go question. Actually just quickly
Do you think do you think web3?
Was the thing that uh working in web3 was the thing that allowed you to be able to pursue the music?
You know, I think I would have been able to do it either way, but it definitely makes it easier
um one because I am
fully remote
Um, it just gives me more flexibility with when i'm able to record or when i'm able to do things or have meetings and
practice and write
um, and at the same time I have
Because i've met a lot of really good people in web3 that has helped me really propel my journey
Um, I started trying to because you know a couple years ago. I didn't know anything
um, so I was trying to connect with some people
In nashville in the united states and some people that I knew that were in the music industry
Just looking for mentorship or trying to find a producer or whatever it was and I had like no luck
um, I really struggled to find people to collaborate with and people to learn from but
Once I started in the web3 space like so many people are down to talking or um
Being hired or you know, just sharing their knowledge and so
You know, i'm not sure I think I would have kept you know, pursuing it either way, but um, it definitely opened up doors for me that I
Otherwise would not have found and it's made it a lot easier
100 percent and I just saw that you have uh, you're minting on sound xyz
So I pinned it up to the top
Yes, thank you. Yes. I feel like I have actually tried out so many different web3 platforms
Um, I think sound is definitely one of the best out there. Um, so yeah, I have
one song live i'm not superman and
Then and that one is still minting too. There are some copies left and then I have a new one coming out
On april 5th on sound as well. And that one's actually going to be a free mint
So i'm really excited to just like get the community involved and uh
collecting that piece
That is awesome, um, I I do actually have a few questions if that's okay, um
Go for it. Yeah, first of all, um a massive. Thank you for joining us
and you know because it does really mean a lot to us and
You know, I can clearly hear in your voice how passionate you are and this means a lot to you
And i'm so glad that you've chose to utilize web3 because it just helps you
Become your own label. It will give you a reach that you just simply wouldn't have had out of web3
And also this is where the industry is going to be going anywhere
So the fact that you're here now learning about the industry and utilizing it
It just is a really exciting opportunity for you and it also
In a very more personal and unique way, which
Is just absolutely brilliant. So the questions I was just going to ask was more around sort of what type of artist you are
You know where you what is it? What artists influence you?
You know, how old was you when you first got into music?
Um, but so if you just start with, you know, how old was you when you first got into music?
And then what type of music it is that you um produced that would be awesome
Yes, um, how old was I when I first got into music? All right, this is a
Interesting question because I think i've taken a very different path compared to most other
artists I
Like many people like I was not in an environment where I was growing up
That was encouraging to music at all. It was just like all math and science
And law like I was planning on going to law school my whole life
my family and everyone in my life was really
encouraging me to pursue law and politics and um
I always had a desire to
Pursue music and a lot of other things, but it just wasn't really encouraged. I didn't think it was possible. And so I
I've been writing for a really long time, but I
really started my journey
Kind of like going full into everything about two years ago. So
Like the first songs that I have produced
Um, like if you listen to i'm not superman you'll notice it is a male singing the lead vocals
I'm actually singing the backtrack, but I started
My singing lessons about a year ago this month
Actually, it was it was like march 13th was my first singing lesson last year
Um, because I even though I was passionate about writing I just never I never thought I could sing and I was never encouraged to do it
Um, and after my producer had produced i'm not superman. He's like, hey like you
Like you deserve to have your voice on these tracks. Um, you have such, you know, a beautiful story of passion
You're obviously diving pretty far into this and you have professional work. So
Learn how to sing if you want
And so I didn't know what to think I was I was a little scared at first
But I was like, okay, you know
What could this hurt if I just try to learn to sing?
so I've surprised myself, um
have learned so
I still you know, of course have
A far ways to go in this journey, but my next song I did sing the lead vocals for which is like a huge accomplishment
Because if you've seen a lot of my content i've been posting about it recently
But um, yeah within 365 days I recorded a lead vocal track, which to me is a huge accomplishment
So yeah, so that's a little bit about my my artistry
Yeah, thank you, um, and yeah, I have uh, watched some of your content as well just to get a better understanding of
Sort of like who you are as a person and you know
Because we all have a reason for being where we are and doing the things that we do
And you can just see that you are integrating
Your life experience into your music which is actually really exciting because that is what will make you as unique
as you are, you know, um
so if you are able to sort of
just give us a bit more depth in regards of
You know what it is that really inspires you to become a successful artist that would that would be amazing
Yes, yes, um, and I think you had also asked before I forgot to
answer but um
About the kind of music I create most of my I kind i've written actually a number of genres
I would say but um, most of my sound so far has been in like the alt pop
Or yeah in like the alternative pop category
Yeah, i've been really inspired by like Halsey's one of my favorite artists so um things with deep lyrics deep meaning
Um a little bit edgy
But not too much. So that's kind of a lot of the style that you'll see
And my music I like to kind of keep things
raw but also elegant in a way, um
And I just you know, what what inspires me to create I
I just love the process of it all like I love the strategy and
Everything that comes with how do you put a piece together? How I
I started out
You know as a lyricist and i'm i'm a writer
um in addition to a songwriter and so
Like how do you construct these words and can they?
intricate
topics in a unique way and tell a story through that
Is just really motivating to me
In addition to the fact that I just love the process and love the uh
Like the idea and concept of creation. I love connecting with people too. So
Music has been a way to connect with me or
For me to connect with other people
Difficult topics. I think the role of
many artists is to
Or how do I say it like be a pioneer of emotion like you're taking an emotional experience that you've had or
You know, maybe a hard time or maybe a joyous time too, you know something that just really moved you you're
putting that into
some sort of medium
whether it's music or videography or whatever it is and
You're letting other people connect with it
And so I have loved being able to connect with people over my songs
Sometimes I say i'm sorry that you can connect
Or that you can relate on this because you know, some of my topics aren't necessarily that
Pleasant or joyful, but you know, they're important parts of life and uh things that we need to
Talk about and connect. Yeah, I'm just gonna touch on that real quick
So i'm glad that you uh, you stayed in that direction. Um, first of all, um
From I went out of my way to not listen to your music until the space
But I did watch a lot of the content where you talk about your music and some of your life story
And um just from a feedback perspective you really do carry yourself very well
Um, you seem very confident in yourself
You can tell that you've been through things and come out the other side
And you can see that you've healed yourself through your music, which I just think is a gift
from a male perspective
men don't
Specifically want to feel because it sort of insinuates weakness, even though, you know, we're learning that it's not
But we need to and sometimes we don't know how to
Navigate through certain situations and music really does pull people through situations
And I know what you're saying when you say, you know, I hope you don't resonate with it
But kind of glad that you do
Um because it's so important and some people would never heal if they didn't have music that really
Help them through a situation because it just you know resonates with what they're going through so much
And I honestly believe that music saves more lives than we could probably ever calculate for that reason
So, you know, I think it's really important that you do the type of music that you're doing in the way that you're doing it
So, you know from from from my point of view. Thank you
Yeah, thank you for that I really appreciate it and
I think that yeah, I I totally agree that music does help us heal if I just sum up what
You know out of all of the artistic things i'm doing in one phrase. I would say I write music that heals
Um, and that's my goal. So hopefully I heal some through the process and other people can have a piece of feeling as well
Yeah, and your music is definitely, uh much more cost-effective than my local therapist. So I appreciate that side of it as well
Yes, that's all I said
But no, yeah, no, but in all seriousness, yeah, it's definitely important. So, you know, I'm really looking forward to uh,
Listening to your music. Uh, will you be playing any music for us tonight?
You know I can I have to admit though, I don't really know how to do that on a twitter space
Usually I have someone else
Play if you show if you tell me how to I can
But i'm just i'm just really not sure how to get the sound quality good
Yeah, no, that's all right. I mean, um, normally we you can either
Send it to one of us if you want and um, i've got two devices in my house
I could play it from one device to the other
Um, if you're okay with it being played like that
But if you want it to be pristine quality, then we may not be able to do so and people will just have to
Hopefully get so curious as they go and check out the music themselves. There's always that option as well
You know what if that works, um, I like i'm actually just completely unfamiliar with how you do it
So, um, we could totally play it through speaker. Um
Can send you the link
Yes, that would be awesome. Uh, yes send us the link and then
In in about five or ten minutes or so
Uh, we will play one of your songs and then we can sort of talk about that as well and uh
Learn a little bit about how the song was created what the purpose was behind it. Uh, and that type of thing that
Yes, so I mean in the meantime if you are sending okay, I missed part of that, um, no, that's okay
Okay, so I sent the link it should be in the comments
Um, it's to my spotify. Does that work?
Yeah, that should be fine either me or tricky we'll be able to uh
To play that I will uh, I will let you know in just a moment if that works if it does then awesome
I've got speakers on my computer. I don't know if that works better
Yes, they probably will do actually shall we try that then?
Let's give it a shot. I'll try it. I'll try just give me a second
Yeah, I mean very soon I will have a setup where I'll be able to play music and other audio
During a space, but i'm just not quite there yet. So hopefully soon that'll be uh
Something that we can do but in the meantime, it's not a good it's not a good twitter space unless you have a tech problem, right?
Yeah, I completely agree with that. Thank you
But yes trey's got his hand up trey fire away, brother
Hey, we have zal in the house. He probably knows how to do this
Uh, what's up guys?
Twitter spaces is weird
They do a super weird like thing because it's a call and right you get that audio delay between being a speaker and a listener
Um, it doesn't work with typical
Um inputs and outputs
So the only real good way to do it is to if you have an iphone to go to wide spectrum on the mic
And uh and play it on a speaker. Um, I normally just use my bluetooth speaker
And I I just change it to wide spectrum and it's good enough and like dai said hopefully people get curious enough
They're like, oh, I gotta listen to it in perfect quality and go to the song on spotify
You are an absolute legend i've just um
Learned something new today. So thank you for that. And that's that was what my problem was with so what spectrum
Is that the reason why you can play something through your phone and not hear it through the speaker at the same time?
So if I had wide spectrum on in my phone on loudspeaker, would my audio come back through the microphone?
I think that's what it means, but i'm not gonna lie
Uh, one of the homies just put me on his name is satwick. Uh, he's a a musician in india
And uh, he's the one I talked to about all my questions regarding like twitter spaces audio and stuff like that
So he suggested wide spectrum, so I don't exactly know what it does
But it's definitely gotten better that sounds like what it probably does is that it's not playing
Um the feedback
It's kind of set to try and pick up your vocals and try and cut out the background
So I think what it does is it doesn't try it basically just doesn't cut out the background so that you get a you get a clearer
Um sound when you play it, uh, but yeah, so no brilliant. No, thank you. So I appreciate that
But yeah, um, are you able to play it through your pc, uh christian?
I think it still might be yeah, give me give me a second. I'm trying to set up a spot of fire account quick quickly
Oh, no, I could I could send you another link i'm, sorry guys
Conversely I could play it as well
Let's go say I love it by the end of this space
I think everyone will have a spotify account and you should have some more followers. So win-win
That's a good strategy actually. I like that. Well done
I just wanted to ask as well while we're sorting out the music side of things
I just want to just sort of dive into uh, the web three side of things a little bit if that's all right
So what was your experience with web three? How did how did you first discover web three?
Yes, um, so after I
Read everything that gary v had to offer and learned about the launch of v friends. I actually did not buy a v friend
because um
I was very scared about metamask at the time
Which is funny to think about now, but um, I didn't know anyone who else was involved in web three
So I was like I was like should I like put money on this kind of sketchy?
Like wallet that I don't really know what it is. Um, and I didn't do it
Later, the people I found that the people that I were work was working with at the time
Were also involved in web three and they are developers
So they were like very comfortable with all the tech side of things because they were building some of the tech at the time and um
They helped me set up a stax wallet. So stax is like a layer two for bitcoin. Um, it's a rather small chain, but um
It's a pretty tight-knit ecosystem and that's where I met a lot of my friends in the beginning and so they helped me
Like set up my wallet and then after I set up my wallet and made the first transaction
I was like, oh I got this. Um, I can do this on my own. So that really allowed me to
Um kind of just dive into communities. Um
And I bought a couple
You know like pfp projects and I even though i'm definitely more on the art side like sometimes like
I do enjoy the like fun like d-gen aspect of things. Um, like the
The jokes and the memes and the the community aspect i'm really i'm really in for so, um, that was kind of my first experience and then
The first one of the first people I talked to um, her name is good kitty if you've seen her on twitter, but um
She has managed very successful artists. Um
And she was like willing to mentor me in this area, which has been really cool
It's kind of a little bit about my on-ramp to web 3 and I think you know
If you are looking to bring other people into the space just kind of like walking them through the first couple steps
um is really important because
Because it is new, you know to us. It's probably we've done this a while
It's very normal. But you know when I think back on my experience, I was like
Wow, just having someone walk through how do I set up my wallet and how do I make a transaction really like changed everything for me?
That's brilliant. Well, i'm i'm glad that you uh, you know was skeptical to begin with because you have to always maintain that level of skepticism because
You know, it's still the wild west in this industry and you know, even even
Solid projects or solid applications still malfunction or things still go wrong
So, you know, I mean, I know you were saying now like it's kind of funny now when you think back but
You know everyone was the same back at the beginning and you know
I'm even still like that now for the most part and I think that it's a good thing if anything, you know
So no, that makes perfect sense. I just want to quickly go to uh, christian's hand because he might be ready with the music
Are you uh ready christian?
Yeah, i'm don't want to brag but gary v actually follows me but but that's that's that's not to the point but um, um
Um, what am I playing and told or not?
Start this again. I'm sorry about that. I just had to say it i'm sorry
Yeah, well he he he will be the one that's more excited than you. I mean you're christian abbot
Some of the biggest things in the industry, I mean i'm surprised he's not
Fallen you up. Yeah, you know, that's probably the next line of action. I reckon
Yeah, am I playing i'm not superman or
Yeah, let's play okay, here we go. Let's see if it works
Let me know if you can hear it loud in place it's perfect
I was screaming always if I could change
Last night I woke up from a tree
I ran into you in town and it shot me right down to my knees
I see you as innocent
I know that you was hard
They can say what they want but I say you made it far
But i'm not
I'll see you again one day
A better place
Wow, that's nice
Wow now I know that that will not do it justice obviously it would be better with headphones or in real time but
My goodness me that was incredible
Well, thank you, thank you so much and thank you
I forgot your name. Is it christian? I'm not sure but thanks for going through the hassle to play it for us
I appreciate it
Totally worth it. Whatever christian. Yeah. Thank you christian
Definitely. She's got another one called untold, but we'll play that later
Yeah, definitely. Now. Hopefully that's got more of um, more of you as the lead vocalist. Is that right? Uh, kalini
Um, this one actually does not know um, I
when I first
You know was started doing this I was like, okay
Well, I can't sing so does that mean that I should not be able to song right just because I can't sing
We often think of those skills as
Together like in a package, but they're actually very different
Um, and so I because I didn't think I could sing at the time. I actually hired someone to sing this one for me
Um, and then i'm not superman. Um, you could actually hear my back folk or um, yeah my back vocals which was
Really cool. Yeah
The vocals are phenomenal the um
Harmony was brilliant. And so you wrote that song
Yes, yes, I wrote yeah, I wrote untold and then I wrote um
Yeah, i'm not superman as well and then
Uh ross was the lead vocalist and he's also my main producer as well
so ross is incredible to work with um, and I have so much respect for producers because they
Uh, they really make a lot of magic happen in the song as well
Yeah, not absolutely. They definitely do but that was that was such a great
I mean have you put have you played that on tiktok yet? Because I know I know you do make content on tiktok, don't you?
I have yes, um, I because i'm gearing up for my next song here
I haven't as much lately. But um, yeah, if you scroll down a little bit on my tiktok
You'll see actually quite a bit of content
um around
Yeah, i'm not going to use that song
And share that on on tiktok. Definitely. No, that is amazing
Someone's got the hand up and it might be connected to the song you just played
Um and brad we've known brad on if it's the brad i'm thinking is I think it is
Um, we've known him on tiktok for probably three plus years. Um brad, I hope you're good. My friend. Welcome to the stage
How are we doing brother?
Yeah, i'm doing good, mate. Just uh, happy to be sort of lurk well back from lurking and actually uh producing a bit of content and
Kalani, I think that's how you say your name
Um, I had a little stop off on your spotify and i'm following you and it's made one of my playlists. Um
I'm not gonna lie guys, although i'm not superman is a brilliant this fantastic song
Um, it doesn't do her vocals justice. You need to play untold
I'm a little bit i'm fanboying a little bit right now, but he's actually wicked
So kalani, I mean you're going places and that's that's all i've got to say really
I remember crypto brad i haven't seen you for ages, mate
Been sleeping and working man. I've sort of jumped up in my company now project managing
So i've got things falling out of me here. It's a circle
Bit mental, but yeah
That's awesome. Well, first of all, i'm so glad you're back making content
Because you always feel like oh i'm now going to tell everyone where i've been
Um, I know you've always been there and you've not you've not you know
You've always been about so i'm glad that you're making content again because I did miss you and your content
But no, thank you for taking the time to play. Um
Kalani's music and and give some feedback i'm sure she's probably going to respond to that in just a second
But no, that is amazing
Yes, uh, thank you so much, I really appreciate it, um
Yeah, anytime, you know a lot of people I see some other people in this
Uh space that have just like offered me encouragement and I like that one so much to an artist like more than you could imagine
So I appreciate it
Yeah, I bet I bet it's a great feeling
And you know we what we try and do with these spaces is obviously we provide a platform for people to be able to showcase
The things that they're working on but we also we come from a place of love and passion
So we would obviously if let's say the music was terrible, we would just be
honest about that in regards of you know
constructive criticism
But it's actually incredible like you can clearly hear that you are immensely gifted in what you're doing and
I have got no doubt in my mind that I will be hearing that from many different places in the future
So i'm really excited and glad that you've come to our space to talk to us and show us what you've been working on
And that we've caught you so early on in in your career for
Where we think you're going to be in the future, you know, so it's really exciting from both sides
You know, it must be good to hear people speak highly of your music, but from our perspective as well. It's really exciting
Well brad brad made a request if we could uh play the second song. So should we should we play the second song?
Let's can I ask one quick question
Kalani are you gonna do any tracks with acoustic backing?
I am okay. Cool. Um, I have a couple that are in the pipeline awesome
Let's go djs spin that
You know you can trust me tell me anything
Anything my darling i'ma let the time pass staring at the ceiling
Time to change the subject. No, no, i'm not your subject. No, no no more
Take all my lips speak with my eyes
Gotta break this curse because you couldn't read my mind you're over you're gone. It's not said and done no more
Let me tell you about the things i'm told
Now the safety sauce and I got the gun
Tell me if it's fine always crazy to you. It's not crazy to me
I'm about to object because I
I'm not an object no more
Back door is checkmate. You play me like a pawn. I sit by the window and wait for the time
You're over your gun. Just not said
Let me tell you about the things i'm told
Am I making love i'm cold
Do the world turn to blind?
That's why you're there
Don't say i didn't warn you am i making love i'm cold
It's my face crazy
Let me tell you about the things i'm
Don't say I didn't want ya, it might make you burn, don't call, call
Yeah, the words don't look blind, aye, that's why you went on, talk, talk, talk
Don't say I didn't want ya, it might make you burn, don't call, call, call
Yeah, the words don't look blind, aye, that's why you went on, talk, talk
Yeah, the words don't look blind, aye, that's why you went on, talk, talk
That is incredible
Maison, thank you Lani, can I ask you a question?
Yeah, of course
Are you on SoundX, what is that as well?
I am, yes
So you can, I'm told, I'm told is unfortunately not on sound, I actually launched that one on Stax
But I'm not Superman and you know my next couple releases will be on sound
Oh great, can you drop the link for that in the comments as well
Yes, I will do that right now
That's pinned at the top as well, the SoundX YZ but I was not ready for that
Good, yeah, great
Like wow, that, whilst I recover from being mind blown, I'll throw the mic over to Trey Faraway brother
So you said the song that you're releasing next comes out, did you say April 5th?
Yes, it comes out April 5th
I was going to play a little sneak peak for you guys, but it turns out that wide spectrum is not available on my iPhone
So I got to figure out how to do that
Okay, I have another question
To you and the host, we kind of have a big deal going on here April 5th
Do we have five minutes to maybe pop a song in there bro?
Absolutely, yes, we do
Thank you Trey
So on April 5th, we are hosting a mega space with 15 phenomenal guests in celebration of Hangar Animals pre-sale
And if you are okay with that, we would absolutely love to play one of your song that you're releasing
Tell people it's been released and where they can go and find it as well, we're more than happy to do that
Absolutely
Thank you, I would be honored
I am so excited and would love to celebrate with you guys
So thank you
And that one, it's going to be on sound and it's also going to be a free mint
So that would be a good one to get in on
Yeah, and I may have to mint it myself before I tell anyone about it though, that's the only condition
But that is incredible
So those vocals of that last song, were they your vocals?
These ones were actually not
I hired someone to sing because once again, I didn't think that I could
That doesn't take anything away from how incredible that song is
Yeah, what an amazing voice
Oh yeah, the person I hired was exceptional, she was super great to work with
And yeah, I just want to encourage anyone out there too
That if you are a songwriter and your singing isn't where you want to be right now
Or maybe you just don't want to sing for whatever reason, that shouldn't stop you from songwriting
Because like I said, I do think that these skills, they often come as a package but they don't have to be
That's just kind of like a norm we've placed
And I'm glad I didn't let that stop me because I learned so much about the production process
And I'm really proud of Untold
And now that I've learned to sing, I can
And I'm singing my own songs now
I don't know if I would have been able to just jump from absolutely nothing to
Yeah, you have to go through whatever process suits you on your journey
And that song just didn't exist before you created it
That existed in your mind first
And then you've gone through the production process to get it to where that is right now
And that is a phenomenal song
You've obviously got a great choice of artists as well
Because both songs, one was a man, one was a woman
Two very differently written songs
But both absolutely top quality music
That's not even music you think
Oh yeah, she's there, she's on the way, she's getting there
That's sharp music that I would expect to hear on a radio just straight off the bat
So if that's where you're at now, then people will definitely be following your journey to see where you end up
Well, thank you
Yeah, I definitely do focus on the quality a lot
Here, I literally spent six months
And that's after I wrote it
So six months just in recording and production
I mean, a lot of that is because I am newer to my singing journey
And it just takes a while to record your first lead vocals
But I've also re-written and re-recorded so many pieces
I had like 70 recording sessions on here alone
So I really wanted to make it the best quality that I could
Well, you definitely went the right way about it, that's for sure
And they're two absolutely brilliant songs as well
And I'm really, really impressed with what you've been able to create
And I'm glad that you're also inspiring people who are songwriters
Or songwriters who may not sing or feel like they can't sing
To still move forward with a gift or a passion that they have
Because that's what we're all about, the community community is living our passion
That's what we're all striving towards and helping each other to try and accomplish
By doing exactly what we're doing right now and all supporting each other in our journey
Because we're all doing different unique things that we can also collaborate on with
Like what you're doing with your music, you're collaborating with artists
Vocal artists and actual artists, people in production
People are passionate about music, us now with this space
And that's the beautiful thing with Web3 is that people are so community and collaborative mindset
That you are able to do what you're doing and find the people you need to achieve what it is that you're trying to achieve
So I just think that's absolutely fantastic
Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement
And I think it's always important to remember that everyone has a different journey
Especially as an artist, some people grew up singing since they were five years old
That's super cool, that's a very different place than where I was when I started singing when I was like 26
And that's okay, we all have different journeys but we should celebrate them all, I think
And along with that it's important to not compare across journeys
I was so frustrated when recording here because I was like why is this taking like four or five more months than I expected
And then I was like well your first singing lesson was six or seven months ago
Do you really expect to be at the same place that someone else has who's been singing for ten years?
No, that's a little unreasonable
And so we can push for big goals and use the inspiration of others to push us forward in a positive way
But don't tear yourself down because we are all on different journeys
And you deserve to be celebrated where you're at and for what you're doing
Yeah, well said, and it's obviously clear that you're a wordsmith
So I think that's definitely phrase of the day, you are a wordsmith
But you're right, and that's exactly it
You should only ever really compare where you're at with yourself
And only ever compete with yourself to improve where you're at
Because this is the thing that I think stumps a lot of people
For example, there's people who can sing but they just can't write music
And the majority of the music that people hear in their charts isn't written by the people who are singing it
And sometimes that comes to a surprise to some people
There are a lot of writers who are known but there's also a lot of ghost writers as well
So it's good that you're able to not only celebrate that but inspire people who are
You may not take that journey because they don't feel that they provide the full package
When for the most part you don't need to
And eventually you can, and that's what journey you're on
You aren't singing your own songs yet, well you are now
But it wasn't when you started, but you're able to grow in confidence, learn the skills you need to
Grow your network and then reach a point in your career where you have everything you need
To do everything you wish to do with your skills and your passion
So I think that's absolutely brilliant, that's the path you've taken
And you're doing obviously very well with it
Thank you, yeah, I'm a doer
I'm a huge fan of just, if I have a dream or if I want to do something
I just start, you know, it might not be perfect at first
It might take a while or, you know, you might not have all the pieces together
But you've at least got to start
Because if you don't do that you're never going to get anywhere
So that's kind of part of my philosophy
Yeah, I'm just kind of really taken by the standard of quality that you've produced so early on
You know, I did music at college for four years and people who started
It took two to three years before they even reached a really amateur level
Which was still good for where they was at
And it was still good enough for it to be, you know, a finished piece of music
But it just wasn't the standard that you're at already
So it's really good that you're at that point now, you know, because you can just really build on that
And as you've heard from people's responses that they're really impressed by the music that you've created
So, you know, I'm really proud of you
I think that, you know, the world is your oyster right now
So I'm excited to see where you take this in the direction that you're going
And, you know, I think Web3 is blessed to have you in it
So let's go
Thank you! That means a lot to me
And I really appreciate it
Thank you
Yeah, no problem
So right now you've got two songs that are currently out
Is there any coming up soon or is it just the one that's coming out launching on the 5th of April
Or is that the unstoppable that's launching on the 5th?
Here is launching on, yeah, no, here is launching on the 5th
And this year, you know, because once again, since I've been newer to this
And I'm trying to produce at a high quality, like I've been releasing at a pretty slow cadence
This year my goal is to release four songs
The second one is already halfway done
So literally after I stopped recording here, I started recording another one
So hopefully that will be recorded in about a month
And released over the summer
And I have two more that I'm working on, too
So yeah, lots of fun stuff coming over the next couple months, for sure
Yeah, four songs a year
You've definitely got your work cut out there
But, you know, I suppose the more you produce your music, the quicker you get, I suppose
So what social medias do you predominantly use the most?
Where do you post the majority of your content?
For anyone that is really interested in what you're doing, where would be the best place for them to consume your content?
Yeah, great question
Twitter is my main focus
I just, I love Twitter
I think it's more real than a lot of the other platforms I see
I have Instagram, most of my videos go on Instagram
But I just, I don't know, Twitter has a vibe
I'm like, okay, I can actually connect with people and chat with people over ideas
And things, it's not just about trying to be a model
Which I'm not hating on Instagram, it's beautiful, I consume it
But it's just not my focus
So you can follow me there
But all my stuff will be on Twitter
I do post a lot on TikTok as well
All my videos on Twitter are also on TikTok
So yeah, you can find that stuff in my Linktree, which is in my bio
So yeah, go ahead and check that out if you want
Yeah, no, that's awesome
And yeah, I definitely see where you're coming from with different platforms
And that's the thing that I think we learned as well
Is that different platforms provide different qualities
For example, with your music, X I think is perfect for everything
It's a really all-rounded app to be fair
And the vibe is great, and you can do these spaces as well
And just connect with more people at one time
So it definitely is a brilliant app to be the center focus, I do think
And as well, like with TikTok, you can have your music
You can even apply to have your music, be the music people can use in their videos as well
Which I think you should most definitely do
Where people can select your music out of the choice of music that's available
I think going down the avenue would be a great move to make as well
And also, with it being a video platform
You can definitely utilize it for people watching what you're doing in the studio
Or how you're producing your music
Instagram, it is more of a faker app, let's be honest
But I suppose it is great for the photography side of it
You know, the pictures of people when you're in the studio
Or on your laptop, or however you produce your music
But my point being is that once you understand the algorithms and the platforms
And what the specialties are
Then you can get the most out of each platform
For the different ways in which you can utilize them
Yes, 100% and most of the things that I talk about
Which, you know, a lot of the things we've talked about here today
But I'm passionate about sharing my music journey
I see a lot of artists talking about
You know, their journey when they're already at the top
I am talking about my journey when I am not at the top
And I am struggling to record
Or what equipment do you need and stuff like that
So passionate about helping younger artists or people who are like me
Trauma, like these things kind of behind my songs as well
So those are the two topics
And of course, some web content there too
So that's kind of what you can expect from me
There was a bit of a crossover in topics actually
Because Tricky is working with someone on a tea product
Should I say
That's helping people that suffer with pain
And stomach issues and stuff like this
And yeah, it's really cool, there's a real crossover
Because I saw there was teas and stuff on your website
And that's like an integral part of your journey
And yeah, I thought there was an interesting crossover there
We're going to definitely have to collab on the back end on that one
Yeah, definitely
By the way, those last two tracks we just played were great
I was like, can I mint that last one?
But you're minting the one track we pinned up at the top, right?
So that's on Sound XYZ
Very cool
I don't like piano
I love piano
I learned how to play when I was 6
I stopped playing when I was 12
But I still just kind of rock it
To vibe out sometimes
So I love hearing piano and everything, honestly
You throw piano on any track
And I'm instantly just kind of like, all right, that's cool
But those were both, the production quality on both of those were great
So yeah, well done
Congratulations, really
That's awesome
Thank you
Yeah, well said
I love the fact that when he was talking about the type of content that you create
I love that you are so real with it
Because I think that it's really important
And it is a fundamental part behind what you do and why you do it
So I think that although some people might even feel it's not as on topic as the music
But I think that it's important that people understand why you create the music you create
And what it is that inspires you to do so
And we're all human as well
So it is important that we experience and sort of try and use the platforms that we grow
To help people in a multitude of ways as well
Which you do really do that in your videos
And I think that you should never stop doing that
Because you are right, you know, people talk about their journey at the top
But, you know, barely anyone is at the top
Most people are at the other end of the spectrum, you know
So I think it's great that people can sort of see the realism behind that
Because that's what we love about web3
Is that it has that real factor to it
Because that is what the reality is
And I think that once people get to experience that we're all real people
Just trying to do what we're doing and see it from a genuine perspective
Rather than the Instagram version where everything looks and sounds perfect
You know, I think it would really inspire people
Because that's one of the biggest barriers for people
They just don't feel like they're enough
They don't feel like they've got what it takes
They don't feel like they have the equipment that they would need to do what they're doing
So I get really motivated by people who create content showing where they're at
Because, you know, one day you won't be there
But for the most part, most people are there
So, you know, massive congratulations for you making content while you're at where you are
Thank you
I think you nailed it on the head
Kind of exactly why I'm doing what I'm doing
And, yeah, just hope to resonate with and inspire other people to keep going
And how to incorporate these things into their journey, too, that I've learned
This is awesome
We really do have a lot in common
Coming from TikTok 2, backgrounds, the content
Yeah, this is a vibe, this is a vibe
Every time someone says, you know, well, we're all human
I always go, no, I'm a DeFi space donkey
Or you could call me a machine
I will also respond to we have three multiverse masters
Shout out to Dreyfus down there
But we've got another machine in the house
It's Louis, baby, is here
So, mad love to it's Louis
And I saw Zaul had his hand up
Zaul, did you have a question?
No, I just kind of wanted to put, like, the Web3 spin on the last thing that
Thy Revolution said about, like, knowing what algorithm to know on what platform is different
And, like, that's the fucking beauty of Web3
If this decentralized social media slash vetiverse
Or whatever ends up taking off
We don't have to curate every single platform
For every single algorithm
We'll play it on one
And every single platform will be a different algorithm
Showing it to all of your followers, all, you know, decentralized
So I think that's really cool
And where we're going is awesome
But I just wanted to make that point, that's all
Yeah, well, that's because, you know, once people realize that collaboration
Is king, and that you won't even need the algorithm
If you've got a supportive community
Because, you know, the community becomes the algorithm
And that's the beauty behind what message we're trying to spread
And, you know, we know that that's exactly the same mindset you have as well
So, thank you for pointing that out
Because that is the point, you know, the algorithm is there to help you find the people
That will support you
But once you have that support, then your community is your algorithm
And, yeah, so, in a moment, we are going to be moving over to our next guest
Who is an absolute legend
I can't even do it justice with my own words
But, yeah, before we do, I just wanted to find out if you have anything else
You would like to add on the things that you do
Kalani, before we move over to our next guest
No, I just want to say thanks for being here
The vibes are great
I can tell that you guys are great
I appreciate the encouragement and love for the music
And I'll be seeing you all around
Absolutely
Much love for stopping in and gracing us with your presence
It was great hearing those tracks
And I'm looking forward to what you got to offer to coming out soon
We're doing these late night music spaces all the time
So, feel free to connect and play whenever you like
I'll give you a mic anytime
Yeah, Tricky lives on X in Twitter spaces
I think there was one, I think it was a week or a month
Where he'd actually spent more time on Twitter spaces than there were actually hours in the day
I'm not quite sure how that works
But he somehow managed to do that
I have three accounts and I put in 3500 hours last year on the three accounts
My main account had 2030 hours for the year
I'm on 15 social medias and I can't wait for it to all be in one place
Oh my God
It's Louie baby is in the house
We got crypto tow back on the stage as well
Welcome back everyone
Shout out to the room
I see Val down there, Shane
There's a lot of awesome people here
I see some more musicians that I would love to hear from
But without further ado
It's Louie baby
I always say to myself, I'm not going to go that hard on it
It's Louie
Thank you, Freaks
How are we doing, Louie?
I'm fabulous, fam
I apologize for my late entrance
Butts needed to be wiped
And poops needed to be had
So it is what it is
But thank you for having me
I am feeling fabulous
I have exactly 20 minutes to chop it up with you guys
On the wifey's time
Gotta love it
Gotta thank her
Gotta respect it
And yeah, I'm just here to do my thing
As much as y'all want me to do it
What are we doing?
Let's go 20 minute freestyle right now
That's actually like happened before
You know, in other spaces
But yeah, no, you guys drive the ship
I'm just here
I'm chilling
I'm ready to talk
I'm ready to rap
You know me, I'm chilling
Yeah, well, thank you for joining us
And yeah, definitely family always first
But no, we just really appreciate you
What you're doing in web 3
I appreciate you joining us
Regardless of the small time you have
We definitely have to respect the
Your better half, of course
You know, Calerna, we'll definitely speak again shortly
But I just, while we've got 20 minutes
I just, first of all, want to say
Your music is phenomenal
I know you already know
That we feel that way anyway
And I don't even think
I could just tell you for 20 minutes
How much I think you're amazing
But I won't
But your recent music
I just wanted to say to you
While we have you here
Is that it's always improving
And I just mean that
I mean your quality of the videos
That you're producing
And you know, so massive credit
To the cameraman as well
Whoever that is
But I just love the way you're making your content
And the way that you're putting out your message
You know, the fact that you educate children
Has never given me more hope
Than anything else in web 3
Because we need people with the mindset you have
And the drive you have to be
Unapologetically you
As much of a mouthful as that is to say
I like the cameraman too
I think the cameraman is great
Just banana
That's everything that I pretty much built
As a result of like
Just built in my music career
Has always been a result of web 3
It's just very wild
But that's where I took off
That's where I flourished
And that's where I found my videographer
I believe I found them
In the cosmonauts
Cosmonauts community first
I don't know if he's still in that community
Versa V is his name
He's from Brooklyn
He's in New York City
And he's the cameraman
And you know how it is when you're an artist
When you're doing anything
People are always just trying to get you for money
So, you know, cameramen for me
Have always been way, way overpriced
They're just like not very
Mainly in my budget
And affordable to work with
And he was
And he hit me
He's like, yo, you're nice
He's like, I'll do one for free for you
Just to show you that I'm fucking business
And he did
And, you know, I took him at his word
He took me at mine
We met up
We did a whole music video
That was hip-hop thing
So you're talking a lot about the content
That's new, right?
So, like, that was
Last April I made hip-hop thing with him
And then since last April we did hip-hop thing
We did Land of the Free
We did the one with RMS
Which is on sound
We sold that
Land of the Free
I love that one
Thanks, man
Appreciate you
Yeah, and we did, like, two more
We did Believe
And then we just did this one
So, you know, we did, like, five in a year
And, like, I don't know, man
People are so twisted on the music video thing
About if it's worth making it or not
I think there's always a place for everything
It's just, like, what you want
But for me, like, we all know the game is content
If you make a music video
And you fucking take 10 different to 12 different shots
Now, that's how I do my music videos
I do minimum 10 to 12
I'm really a workaholic
So I usually try to go for 18
And my videographer, Brian, like, is very good about it
But by, like, the 15th, the poor guy's, like, fucking dying
But I'm, like, aggressive
So on this last one, we got fucking 17 good takes
Right? So if you know your lyrics, you know your song
And you nail the fucking take on the camera
Now you got 17 music videos, right?
So you put the lyrics behind each one of those takes
If they're high quality and it's done, right?
Now you got 17 full videos
That can be cut into 10 to 20 second pieces
You do the math
You're talking hundreds of pieces of content
Just from those videos
You're setting an aesthetic to the drop, right?
You're setting an aesthetic to the drop
Because every video is a like
But it's not the same
And so you're dropping that
And then if you choose to
You obviously make the music video edit
Where you cut them into, you know, one
The best pieces from all of those 17 into, you know, one cut
And then what I've been doing
Which I think you might have seen him
Were mentioned earlier
Like, the way I've been doing
Increasing the quality on it too is
I mean obviously his quality on the camera is great
But I've also been doing these mixed reality music videos
Where I'm using stable warp fusion
Or some people know it as stable diffusion
Or automatic 111 or whatever it is
And it's basically a set of code that you can run
In a Google collab notebook
Or locally on your own device
On your own computer if you have the graphics card
And you can generate high quality renderings
Using animation engines
That we use in our video games and movies, right?
The ones that they use in Hollywood
So I've been doing that
And I've been making them like
I just, I really like that like stop motion animation look
I really like the like drawing, drawing, drawing look
And so like it just like works for me
Like it's been like really kind of, not easy
But like I've been doing more and more each drop
But basically, yeah
So I mixed the realities
So you have those 17 pieces of content, right?
All the different takes of the IRL music video
Then you have the actual IRL music video with all the cuts
Then you have the mixed reality video
Because what you're gonna do is
You're gonna take the IRL video
Render it out in the fucking artificial intelligence thing
That I was just talking about
Now you get an artificial intelligence version
And then you take the artificial intelligence version
And the IRL version
And you make a mixed reality version
And the reason why I go in on to all this
To explain the shit in spaces
Is because most of y'all in here are artists
Most people aren't just listening just to be a fan
And I think that a lot of people don't let the work
That they've done in the past serve them in the present
And I started to learn like
Yo, I don't have time to make content every day
So when I go out and I do these music video shoots
If I can make enough content to last me a month, two months
Like that's what I need
And it took me a long time to figure that out
So I just like I like sharing like the way I do it
Because people can steal it and use it on their own
And that's called Oh Na
And that's dropping this Monday on 3.25 worldwide
I definitely like I'm changing up my drops a little bit
First of all, I'm gonna actually stop
Because I have way more to talk about
But I got a rap and shit
And I want to see I want to get what you guys need to
So am I good to keep rolling or you tell me?
Yeah, no, definitely. You're going to keep going my friend
I just wanted to say that you're like, you know, obviously
There's so much to unpack with you and what you do
And that you're I just wanted to quickly touch on the
You know, we call it evergreen content
And that's constantly you can use always
And it's so important
It's so important and I'm so glad that you see it like that too
Because I get that, you know, just from a content creation perspective
You know, like me and my son will go out and film for 30 minutes
And I can make 10 videos out of that more if I really wanted to
So it's great that you're utilizing that
Because I was going to say to Kalana before is that
You know, it's it's being able to utilize it in a multitude of ways
And we don't have time always to do all the things that we're trying to do, you know
Make the art, do the videos, edit it, check it, make sure it's right
All the things that we're trying to do to make it a solid package
It's near impossible
So it's great that you're thinking of it in a way where you can be utilizing things from the past
In the future and making it work with the, you know, the evergreen outlook of it
So, you know, well played for that
Hell yeah, man
If you're free in a Google notebook, if you run the free Google notebook version
It'll take a longer time to use and render your video
If you pay the 50 bucks a month, it'll render it a lot faster
I pay the 50 bucks a month
Not really a high price to get really high quality renderings
But if you're a hip hop head holder
And I know tricky just became one so
Shout out tricky by the way
But anyway like
Anyone who holds my NFTs get access to the tools that I use
So you could use that tool
It's in the discord in the gated section
If you have questions, just DM me
But yeah, it's like very sweet
And I have like
You have me who knows how to use it
Because it's a little technical
Anyway, so
Going back to like where I was at
So yeah, so I'm filming all these music videos doing all the mixed reality stuff
And like I really got into physicals again
Like I kind of see physicals like
I don't think music NFTs don't have any worth or place anymore
But I think that there's a lot of foot around NFTs
There's a hole right now
And there's a lot of people saying sentiments that they're dead
And the meme coins have taken over
Death by meme coin I would say
And whether that's true or not for me
I don't really feel like it matters
Because I always built my NFT on a use case scenario
That it would be
It would be like buying something to get something
Not just buying something for speculative gain that you might make later on
But knowing all of this about NFTs, just being honest
And again, I'm not trying to fund NFTs
Because I love them and I believe in them
But I don't think that people are open to them as much right now
Because of meme coins, whatever
Because of that
But you know, we've got to be real always, aren't we?
I just wanted to quickly say that
So we've got to keep it real
Whether the outlook is good or bad
Just stay in an industry and survive
You've got to always look at it from a logical perspective
So we totally get where you're coming from bro, for real
Yeah, and I appreciate your knowledge
Because we're all into NFTs
I know everybody's into NFTs
And I'm not trying to fund any NFTs
I know what's going on right now with them
So anyway, knowing that
I did this last drop in January
Where I did 25 CDs, 0.02 ETH
And on the CD
So I did three versions of the music video
So I did the IRL music video
I did the mixed reality music video
Which is a blend between IRL and the animated version
And then the full on animated version
So you got three videos
Of a collection of 25 NFTs
You could mint a token
And you'll get one of those three videos
Every single token has access to claim the exact video
Okay, so let me explain this
Every single token had the ability to claim a CD
That when you scanned it under an augmented reality filter
Using your camera
Would play the video that you minted
So if you minted the IRL version
On the blockchain
When you got your CD
And you scanned it in AR
It would play that version
If you minted the animated version
Then when you got to the CD
And you scanned it
It would play the animated version
I set up the whole thing
It was sick
I was really excited about it
It worked
Everyone who got their CDs
Was like, yo, this is sick
And it worked
And I was like, yo, this is fucking sick
Because I love music
But I don't buy music as CDs, really
I buy vinyls as my favorite artist
But more to collect
But I don't buy CDs
So I was like, I'm not really into CDs myself
I got to make them cool
And I just felt like
That made them cool for me
Like, I like that
I was like, wow, I like that
Like, if it was my
If it was an artist I like
I'd pay $20 for that
$25 that gets fucking sick
And then so this time
What I did is
I made the music video
The mixed reality music video
A one of one NFT
That isn't on the blockchain
Till it's minted
It hasn't been minted yet
So the only way to see that
That music video NFT
Is either to go to the mint page
Or to own a CD
To own a CD
When you get the CD
And you scan it
In augmented reality
You'll see the one of one video
So that's the way I've done that
And for a long time
As most people know
We're all the ones
Who are always in our own way
And I never wanted to get out of my own way
And actually build a merch store
Particularly because I always wanted to operate
Under a token gated functionality
That would allow my hip hop head NFT holders
To benefit from a discount
While selling those same products to the public
And not having to make it like
Something that they can't buy
Because they don't own the NFT
I didn't want it to be exclusive
And Shopify administers that functionality
And I learned that
And I was like, oh shit
So I can, you know, literally sell products
On Shopify stores
And underneath the anti-card
Will just be a connect wallet for discount button
And I literally set up the entire store myself
Did it all, did all the work
Made all the products
And I didn't just make like a t-shirt
And a fucking hat
I have a whole like thought out thing
And so I'll explain that
But the point is, is that my new drops
They'll be NFT free claims
For my hip hop head NFT holders
They'll be mainly monetized
In the form of selling them as merch
Through my merch store
Why can't every song be its own brand?
I get so fucking hyped up on this
Why can't every song be its own brand?
It should be its own brand
The same way these influencers drop a random supreme t-shirt
Or a clothing line
And it's available for a week
And then they discontinue
It's the same exact idea
So what I'm doing now is
The NFT will be a free claim
That will likely be
The one of one mixed reality style music video
That will always be the NFT
It will be overly priced
Dramatically overly priced
Heavily priced
Because I work really hard on it
And I love it
And the goal isn't to use
To monetize it through that honestly
The goal is to monetize it through
The selling of the CDs and the vinyls
And so, long story short
I saw what was happening with NFTs
I wanted to continue to sell NFTs
But I wanted to open up two revenue streams
Mainly, one thing that prompted it
Was a few people on TikTok saw me
And they got my DMs
They're like, dude, I know you only get like a hundred likes
But you're fucking crazy
Like, how are you not famous?
Like, I take my money
Like, where can I go buy your shit?
And I was like, dude, I only do NFTs right now
If you're into crypto
Like, here's the website
I gave him the website
He's like, oh, dude, I'm sorry
I even wanted to support you
I didn't know you were a scammer
Like, this whole thing
Like, NFTs are a scammer
I was like, fuck
I just turned a potential conversion
That can help me pay for my bills
Into fucking garbage
Because I think I'm a scammer
Because, obviously, no pressure to anyone to do it
But if you did, you'd be a crazy person
You'd be the first person
My store is officially set up at ItsLouisBaby.com
It's not opening until Monday
But I'm going to save the password to get into it right now
If you want to be a crazy person and look at it
You don't even have to buy anything
But just look at the store
The password, when you get in, is R-T-E-O-L-Y
R-T-E-O-L-Y
If you go to ItsLouisBaby.com
And you're interested in seeing the products and all that
And how it's set up
Type that password in
If you're really crazy and want to buy something
You could
You'd be the first owner ever
But the point is, is that
Each song that drops will be coming out of the merch store
It will have clothing products aligned to it
That come alive in augmented reality like the CDs when they're scanned
It'll have vinyl records and CDs aligned to it
And when the next single drops, the old single goes away
And then I always have my
It's LouisBaby and Hip Hop Heads Collection merch
That'll always be available if you want to buy a LouisBaby hat or whatever
It's not just looking one type of merch
Check it out
And I don't want you to get in trouble with the wife
So Louis, drop some bars on us
Please, what do you got for us?
You want some freedom?
What you want?
Which we just pinned up top
You're minting now
Give us something, Louis
I'm actually
I'm actually messaging right now
And begging her for 10 more minutes
Let's see what she says real quick
Something I wanted to say to you as well in the meantime
Yeah, that was it
You know, I'm kind of
It's kind of lucky, really, that Web 3 even exists for you
Because I just think you're too real for Web 2 anyway
You know, I think most
It's so real, you know, and even just looking at it from
You know, I was raised on a council estate
Still live there now
Absolutely love hip hop to the core of the whole culture of it
And how it brings people together
But from a perspective of people outside of hip hop
I think even when you talk about the topics you talk about
And use the language that you use
That it's not sort of
It doesn't give that cringe vibe to it
Because what you're saying is so on point
You know, like I call it the Louis line
Do you want me to let you scrunch your face up when there's a tune
You're like, give me more of that, please
To put it to lie with
I call it the Louis line
I get this crinkle across my thigh
I almost get cramp in my cheekbones
I don't even know I could even do that
But yeah, the Louis line
Hell yeah, so I just got the 10 minutes
So we got 12 minutes
So let's do some rapping now
Because nobody wants to hear my fucking bullshit about my shills
But I said before I rap
I say all that to say
Get out of your own way guys
Do the work that needs to be done
It can be done
It will be done by you or somebody else
So it might as well be you
And just don't really let that intimidate you
And any NFT holder or founder
Who is not seriously considering Shopify
For token gated experiences
I think it's crazy
But anyway, let's get to business
I'm going to rap something a little bit slower
With heavy message and meaning
But slower because I just had a fat dinner
And I'm not ready to do my crazy speed just yet
But we're going to get real fast
So this is unreleased
This is called school
This is spoken word
I have it fully recorded
But it's unreleased
You get the spoken word
This is three verses
The first verse is from an African-American student
Named Jay in the eighth grade
The second verse is from his teacher
And the third verse is from his mother talking to his teacher
At parent-teacher conference
Here you go
The answer to my life
When I don't fear
I don't have to come for it
I talk back, I'm guilty
I'm all black, y'all milky
You're yelling at me
When you're so friendly
When you get talked back from Billy
I heard what you said about me last year
That I end up dead or in a crack deal
Man, F-yo test
I got enough stress play
Barbara the best dog got a rap deal
My teacher's presenting me with statistics
They're like, listen, most these people you live with
Will end up dead or in prison
I'm trying to tell them I'm different
And that I don't want no problem, no
But they ain't trying to hear me
I say math and kids are non-a-roll
So I can't wait
Till I could get up out of that
Up out of that school
Fam, I can't wait
Till I could get up out of that
Up out of that school
Now here's his teacher talking back to him
In my mind that you'll contribute to the crime rate
Only high grade you'll ever see will make your eyes red
Sit down, shut up, and get out of my face
Go work on your homework
Or go read a book
He's just like his daddy, man
He'll probably be a crook
Hey, yo, whoa, bro, look
Me? I'm not a racist
Responsibility for you?
What? I gotta take it?
I was never given handouts
I work for everything I get
I got a job, I pay my bills
Explain how I am privileged
I'm sick of leaving messages
Where the hell your parents at?
What's the point of calling home when I know you ain't scared of that?
Want you out of my class?
Tell me what you think you're staring at
You gotta comment
Everything always got an answer back
So I can't wait
Till I could get up out of that
Up out of that school
Fam, I can't wait
Till I could get up out of that
Well, look at who it is
It's Mr. Blame, my kids
Your teacher's got a problem
But somehow it's always his
Y'all can never solve it
Always adding to the list
I just got off my shift
Now y'all come at me with this
I know my son, he's not like that
He's on the right route
I told him anybody steps in
That he should fight back
Because everything changed since the Trump campaign
This is some damn shame
That my son can't hang
I don't see a white kid
Getting one damn blame
All you see is his color
Think of some damn gang
Claiming he don't sit up straight
How's that help him innovate?
I want two jobs
And I come too far to watch y'all judge my kid, okay?
So y'all don't get to do that
Not at least till you black
And I'm not from the south
But sometimes it feels like I move back
I'm calling up the news
And y'all can tell your principal that
Don't call me about my son, I'm done
Because you and your whole school whack
So I can't wait
Till I can get up out of that
Up out of that school
Fam, I can't wait
Till I can get up out of that
Up out of that school
That's good
Who needs music?
Who needs music?
Let's go, Louie
Man, much love brother
Always kills it
Always kills it
So well thought out
Put together
Great points
Absolutely a legend
Appreciate you, man
Thank you guys for letting me share
But yeah, we got eight minutes
And I plan on getting every fucking piece of juice
Out of this squeeze
You know what I'm saying?
So the next one we're going to show you
Is the one that's dropping on Monday
And that's the one that we're selling, basically
Instead of doing a monetized NFT drop
If you want to support
And you normally buy my CDs and shit
Now you go to the merch store
And this song is called Oh Na
And I'm just going to get it for you right now
Should I rap it live?
Yeah, fuck it, we'll rap it live
Can we get the instrumental?
I'm feeling a little fucked up
I love Oh Na
Oh Na is wicked
Thanks, fam, you heard it, yeah
So yo, if you go to my pin tweet in that thread
There is a free download to Oh Na
That will only exist for about another 36 hours
Because once it comes out, I'll be removing that
By downloading it, you're just giving me your email
And you're signing up for a lifelong set of threatening emails
To check my music on release day
No, I'm just kidding
But you are signing up to my email list
So yeah, go get yourself a free download while it's happening
And let's see if we can do this
Fuck man, I am feeling fat
I hope I don't mess it up
Let's see
But it's good
It's good when I mess up anyway
People need to see me vulnerable
It's not always good to actually think that you're perfect
You know?
Ladies and gentlemen, there's a butt in the bottom right hand corner of the room
I'm going to ask you to hit that bitch
I'm going to ask you to hit it hard
Pamp that, motherfucker, if you will
Retweet the room
It's Louis, baby
The system's rigged and you know we know who it's made to fail
He had a life to live
You'd rather see him lay in jail
The guy who writes the policy
Be like, I know it makes them well
He tried to tell me when to stop
Like a road sign
Because they look comfortable
While others get their home pumped
Privilege folks, oblivious to
The worldwide old pressure
Nothin' digital screws
But yo, check my attitude
I'm feeling gratitude
I'm putting pressure on the system
I fixed the mic, I put it on
We beat the band
I wanna be a colonist
The genocide we see on guys are strict
At the party talkin' politics
I'm feeling all that pushin' like a pig
Relain in the government to live
And Pop was gats and Mac 10s and crack dens
Meant to incriminate all these black men
I didn't rap then
I listened on my disc, man, Sony Red Edition with that ten second skip fam
Blackjack in the cap bumpin' rap tracks, makin' mad cash on the disc on my knapsack
That's facts, remember when they said I add black, now my rap slaps like a smack on your back fat
That's that in the upper middle tax, rap blacks catch black and they idolize the rap pack
Love Sinatra, guns and a funny mobster, judge em differently, a thug when it comes to papa
Plus fun, some are homeless, plus guns, just fun, when I showed up they know I'm the plus one, just one
White Regan, he's nice and polite even, from the city they home with me for the right reason
Appropriation, your culture is the folks you hatin', a broken nation always claims to be the most amazing
There's no debate in y'all, cannot deny the correlation, only place where people start and blame for lack of motivation
Biggie Smalls said it best as he could, stereotypes of the black male misunderstood
A white Puerto Rican would, cause up until they found out everything was good
Algorithm taught you politics, oh nah!
Feed another sugar to my kids, oh nah!
Think I wanna be a colonist, oh nah!
The genocide we see on guys are stripped, oh nah!
At the party talkin' politics, oh nah!
Eatin' all that bullshit like a pig, oh nah!
Lying on the government to live, oh nah!
And then they make a fundamental shift, oh nah!
So go get yourself a f***in' download, go get yourself that free download and enjoy it
And if you got a hip hop head, you get that for free
And if you buy a hip hop head, you get that airdrop for free
So check that one out
So I even pinned it up at the top, the shortcut, and go check out his pinned tweet
Make sure you just retweet all that shit, blow it up, come on, show us some love fam, let's go
And make sure you get that download, free download
There's no reason to say no to that, just go ahead and do it
Exact trick, nah!
Yeah so that song is important to me, I kind of went at it from two things
Everything that's going on in Gaza I just feel gross about not addressing
I don't feel comfortable just doing braggadocia bars
About people on the other side of the world who should have the same access to everything
Who should have access to, or literally just being denied it
It's just horrible, and I just can't stand for it
So there was that, but then there's also this whole thing that I've experienced
Growing up and living in an affluent suburb in town outside of New York City
As a Puerto Rican, right?
And like I said at the end of the song
Up until they found out, everything was good
I've gone through a lot of, I don't know what people would technically call it
Some people have told me it's like reverse racism, I don't know
I don't know what it is
But I want to speak up for Latinos a little bit
I've had a lot of fear about how I represent Latinos
And I think it's important that I at the same time recognize my white privilege
But also at the same time address something that a lot of other Latinos probably go through
And Puerto Rican people go through and feel
So this song was like, I'm kind of fed up right now
I don't want to fucking talk about fucking how good I am at rapping
That's not what the time was to do
And I just think that we need to stop waiting for the government to make a fundamental shift
That's why I said exactly that
Wait for the government to make a fundamental shift?
Oh nah, don't do that, don't wait on that
A lot of us know in crypto, we have a big big opportunity in front of us
In the next probably year, year and a half
To get as much capital as we can before everything becomes completely regulated and changed and different
And you saw what happened in the EU already
They've made transactions that are in non-custodial wallets illegal over a certain amount of money
So just everybody, just pay attention to what's happening
Example point blank, this TikTok bill
They're trying to get everybody hyped up over this TikTok thing
They're trying to ban TikTok, that's the way they're putting it
It ain't about TikTok
This bill also gives them full usage of all of your data in the court of law now
They always had usage to make you advertisements
But now it's in the court of law without your fucking permission
That's what this bill is doing
Yeah, the TikTok thing was a way to get a consensus on something to do
And then they slide loads of other little shit in there and hope it doesn't get noticed
And that's the actual, all the really important stuff
Is all the little stuff they tag on there at the end
And that's the stuff you don't hear about until it's too late
Exactly, Boris, exactly
I just want to quickly touch on, first of all, the music is fucking phenomenal
Excuse my French, but it's incredible
Your message is always solid
And this is it, there's such a deeper layer to what's really going on
And that's what I love about hip-hop
Is that it's, although obviously lots of other industries and genres express
But the way you can express your message through hip-hop is just phenomenal
You do a perfect job of that, and that's what makes you such a great artist
Is that you're so real and you explain things in a way that can be celebrated through the arithmetic way in which you do it
But this is it with the TikTok thing as well
They're always clever about what they do because we're a small group of people who really know what's going on
The rest of the world are clueless, and that's no disrespect to anyone
They're just not following the world the way we are
And that's why it's important that we come together and support each other the way that we do
And stay fully informed on what's going on, like I just said, Louis
Because they're going to make it out, they're going to ban it
And everyone's going to be upset about it
And then some company will come in and go, oh, we'll buy it
But then, like you said, all of our information will be forever gone and used
And they'll be putting it in places wherever they want, and that's the problem
And that's why Web3 is so important because it's the only way we can protect our self-sovereignty
And once people understand that, then the level of support for each other should hopefully rise
And we can create our own ecosystem that they can't touch
So I'm glad that you're spreading that message as well, Louis, legend
Hell yeah, yo, and thank you guys for letting me come up here
Like, fucking chill you out real quick, bump some jams and fucking, you know, dip out
Because I say this and I'm always going to say this
And people in the crowd who listen to me are probably like, oh, he's going to say that thing he always says
But I have to say it, and I'm always going to say it
Because let the work that you've done in the past continue to serve you in the present
I was much more available in the past when you probably met me
When I was doing shows, when I was dropping projects
I didn't have as many kids and as much responsibility
Now I have more
The work that I did in the past serves me now
Because those people who I was working with in the past are still here now
And they are the ones who give me their platform for a 20-minute segment
Which no one who doesn't know you is going to do that, right?
So thank you guys for doing that
Thank you for letting me come in, come out
And yeah, fam, March 25th, this Monday, a retweet, a like
No monetization, you don't even have to buy it
But those things count too, because if people who like it end up seeing it
And want to, you know, support, then your retweet could have gotten it to them
So thank you all for just letting me come up here
And I just want everybody to remember
That crypto is an act of defiance
Most raptor attack their desires
Hold back because they know that
They could get the most cast out of it, an act of compliance
Spotify got them by yelling at their balls
Paying their pennies while they get it all
Ripping their farthest control, I've been judging when they work the hardest to benefit y'all
Bangs gonna fuck you
Got gas on the tank when I come through
Chang gang finna hang and they bump loot
Raised like a sunroof, thanks for the love too
I spit and it bang like a gun do
That Bitcoin change like a mudroom
Anti-establishment, some real rapper shit
I really value it, it's non-fungible
It's fucking Louis, baby
And I love y'all, and thank you for rock with me
And I'm gonna see you in 30 seconds and then be out
Dude, you're always welcome here, man
You're always welcome here, you know that
Appreciate you, I definitely do
Yeah, spread fast
Real quick, before you leave, Louis
I can't wait to see you in New York
What time is your event?
It's on the 3rd, right? Is it like 6 o'clock?
What time is it?
Yes, sir, it was actually my good morning post
If one of you have the time to check and put it up there
When I leave, but it's 6 p.m. EST
April 3rd, 275th, Smith Street, Brooklyn, New York
All of the information is on the flyer except for the time
Which is why every time I post it, I put it in the caption
But it's 6 p.m. EST, I'll be there
Nessie and I might be filming a little bit of a music video while it's going on
A bunch of other holders and people will be there
Best wingspot and beers in New York City
You're going to get hands down
It's an absolute dive bar with a backyard and a place to smoke J's and hang out
It's my vibes and that's the way we roll
But I'll see you Wednesday night, for sure, trick
And then we'll, you know, after that
But I do got to run, and yeah, if you guys are coming to NFT NYC, definitely check that out
Yeah, I know you're going to run, bro, as well, but your new song, we will
We've got to make a space on the 5th of April, so we're more than happy
If you're okay with it, for us to play your song
And put a link to where it is for people to get, as well
A billion percent, dude, a billion percent, hell yeah
Let's go, brilliant
We'll have fun, enjoy your other half
And thank you for stopping by, we appreciate you, bro
No worries, thank you guys, peace out
Back to work and back sides
Thank your missus for us, we appreciate her dedication and the time
Oh, legend
Legends, let's go, man, I am so looking forward to that
NFT NYC is going to be lit
And I'll be live there with Louis, baby
I love it when Louis comes through
Poppy's there and he says it's such a legend
His lyrics are so on point
And they're so sharp, you know
His lyrics are so sharp, they really cut
Yeah, and this is...
Sorry, go on, Chuck, go on, Chuckie
I was going to say, I can't believe I didn't get a hip-hop pedal way earlier
Because my last birthday party, he stopped by and performed for like an hour
Just freaking killed it
It's all recorded, too, you can check out
The DeFi Space Donkey annual event is on my birthday, August 16th
But yeah, we ended up having to do a second party for all the giveaways
I think he stopped by the second time on a Sunday
And just absolutely destroyed
Tricky's birthday parties are absolutely incredible
I have never seen a place where people walk away with so much more shit than they arrived with
Because Tricky will just give stuff away again and again and again
And he'll have it all planned out
And he'll be like, oh, you know, I'm going to give this out at this sort of time
But then he'll have people come through and go, oh, shit, Tricky's birthday
I want to give you some stuff, I want to give you
And then that gives him even more stuff that he needs to give away
This is jokes
It was absolutely epic
We had 400 people come through those two days
And the first eight-hour event wasn't enough to give away all this stuff
I think it was over $4,000 worth of stuff
We gave away so many legends, stopped through and gave away stuff for the room
It was amazing
Yeah, it was absolutely incredible
And fair play to you for doing it as well
And using that day to celebrate Web 3
And it's awesome how many people do come through and be so generous
That's what we love about Web 3
And it's like, for example, Louis is obviously on a tight schedule, really busy
Made time to come in, and we want to create this platform that we have
So that we can all support each other in what we're doing
And we all are of the understanding that we've got so much going on in the industry and in real life
And we want anyone who comes here to feel welcome
And know that we will always try and accommodate everyone we can, every way we can
Obviously, not everyone always has the time to be able to stay for the full space
A lot of people do, and we really do appreciate it
People who are listening in, people who showed the room
We really do appreciate you guys as well
And we just want to try and help shine a light on these amazingly skilled individuals
That are trying so hard to be successful in this ever-evolving industry
So we do really appreciate everyone who supports and everyone who comes up
And if anyone has any questions or anyone wants to come up and talk about music and Web 3
You're so welcome to do so as well
I wanted to say as well to Kalani
If you want to continue talking about what you're doing as well
You're more than welcome to do so
And thank you for being accommodating as well
And letting us get Louis up
I don't know what you thought about his music
Do you like his music?
I do, I loved it
I thought it was great to hear
I like a lot of different styles
And I thought it was really cool
Let's go, that's awesome, yeah
He's a character, that is for sure
Great energy too, great vibes
I'm always looking for new music
So spaces are a great way to find it
Yeah, he delivers that every time without question
Yo, we have Trey on the stage
Welcome Trey, how you doing?
I'm doing good, I'm loving this today
We have a couple musicians down in the listener area
Should we invite them up?
I've been sending Shane a mic every 5 seconds
And he won't come up
Dave G was down there earlier as well
I was trying to invite him to chat as well
And sent him a DM
I actually thought we had 5 guests tonight actually
Yeah, there is a few people that we invited to come and join us
I think two of them haven't joined yet
Whether they're busy or something came up
But if anyone is doing music in web3
And you want to come up, you are more than welcome to do so
I just want to give a quick shout out as well
To Tricky, Bacon, Christian, Toni and Trey
For always smashing it on the back end
Working really hard on helping with the artwork
With the guests, with the structure
With the things that we're working on in the background
Some stuff we can talk about, some stuff that we can't
Always working hard on the background for our book project as well
And the raffle as well that Christian beautifully put together
Which we have still running right now
We have obviously you guys know about our NFT book project that we have
We're burning pages every single day
And we've only got a few pages left
But we have a raffle taking place
Where the pages are 150 polygromatic a page
If you want to try your luck
We have a raffle ticket that's $15
It's also an NFT as well
Which is available on our website
Communitycommunities.xyz
Which you can find the link in my bio
But if anyone does get a raffle ticket
Whilst we're in a space
Doglins aka Christian would make you a custom doglins
As well for purchasing the raffle ticket
So if anyone is interested in that
You can jump in onto the website
And go and try your luck with that
And obviously the winner will win a page in our NFT book
With 35 other projects that are collaborating with us
And will probably be the 42nd or 43rd pages
That would have been minted as well
Did we fix the raffle issue that we had earlier?
There was no issue
Ok, might be my end then
It wasn't an issue
It just sent it to the main page
But up top you could change to the raffle page
Yeah, we can only mint in Matic now
For the moment
Because I violated some stripe agreement or something
So they cut me off
Yeah, so these things happened on it
So if anyone may not know what we're talking about
You could purchase a page with a credit card
Or you could purchase it with crypto
But at the moment you can only purchase it with crypto
But it's super easy to do anyway
You can go to any exchange and convert your crypto
Kind of proving the point of how important crypto is
What happened the other day?
The other day in the UK we had shutdowns all over the place
Mackeys, Tesco's, all sorts of retail outlets
They could not take car payments
So what are you supposed to do in that institution?
No one's got cash anymore
No one's got cash
Bitcoin, cryptocurrency is the solution
You can't just switch it off
It doesn't turn off
You can't turn it off
That's it
Yeah, so I said to put it out there
It's just something that bugged me
It just proved the point of how frail we are
We've got these pieces of plastic in our pocket
Where all of our...
How we exchange our value between us and a vendor
When in reality we don't need it
We don't need that anymore
I couldn't agree more
And that's what I love about how the community started
We were a group of people super passionate about developing in Web3
But obviously nobody starts with the capital you need to build out an ecosystem
So we was transacting through services and skills
So people who were making content was making content for people
That could make websites and build discords
And we still do that to this very day
I think it's amazing that we can do that
And support each other in this way
Christian is a prime example
The amount of people he's supported
Is a very skilled individual
So if anyone ever is looking for
To build any apps or discords or websites
He's always the man to reach out to
And if he can, he will
If he can't
Obviously he can't
If he's busy
Which he always is
He's always working hard on the back end
And that's the beauty of having a network
That we're trying to build for each other
I mean we're always thinking as well
If we come across somebody that
Let's just say someone wants someone that can write songs
We're going to reach out to Kalani
And say someone has reached out to us
And they're looking to write a song
And they need some support
We would put that to you
So that you could benefit from that
And we do that right across the board with everybody
And that's why we're always trying to extend our networks
So that we can help strengthen Web3
But what we're trying to accomplish
One of the main things that we're trying to accomplish
Is instead of taking money from inside of the ecosystem out
We're trying to get funds from outside the ecosystem
And bring it in
And keep it in the communities as much as possible
So that we're all utilizing each other's skills
And the funds are coming in
And benefiting multiple different ecosystems
So that we all benefit and grow together
So we can continue to build
And grow our capital at the same time
There's nothing better than being here
And seeing people collaborate
And seeing good things come from connections
That we've helped make
Like with Clejan, the track violinist
We hooked him up with a guy who hosts events at a venue
It's his venue, sorry
And he lives like a 20 minute drive away
So we got them both on the same space
And we did a similar kind of thing
As to what we did tonight
And they went off and they did a show
And it was great
And then from that Clejan made loads of connections
Which then ended up with him getting hired for loads of stuff
So just seeing success come from this little thing that we do
Of bringing people together in Web 3
I love it
Yeah, I've got to bring more
And that's it, it's so invaluable
And it's great to see people doing what they're passionate about
And being supported
You know, like just this now with you, Kalani
So I probably said your name wrong in 19 different ways
But you're able to showcase what you're doing
And people are able to learn about it
And you can get feedback on it
And people who hear what you do
May want to utilize the things that you create
And vice versa
You know, you may be halfway through a website
And need assistance
Or looking for people to collaborate with on content
And that's the beauty of Web 3
Is that people have realized that collaboration is king
And that no one ever lost anything
By helping another person
And you know, I remember, I know he's not in here now
But Drip is very passionate about following each other
And supporting each other's socials
Because no harm is done doing that
And yeah, that's the vibe we go with
So we appreciate anyone that supports that
Yeah, the collabs in this space are absolutely epic
I mean, I just had to text Jaden Violet
And New York plans, let's go
We've got to plan everything, let's go
We did that rave in Miami afterwards
Never would have happened
That was my first NFT event
My first co-sponsored event
With Jaden Violet
April Union
It was epic
And the whole thing was like a movie
Absolutely, we'll never forget that experience
Speaking of events
We have someone in the room actually
Who's putting on an event for NFT NYC, I believe
Zaul, are you doing something?
Is there some sort of event happening?
Just like Free RSVP, etc?
Thank you for teeing that up for me
So we have Zaulpalooza
Which is actually an account up on the speaker stage
If you guys want to check them out, follow for more info coming out
We have an event, Free RSVP
It's about 17 artists all performing
With many more artists being played by the DJ
If you are a musician and you're interested in having your music played
Whether or not you're coming to New York
We could definitely get you on the set
I can pin up a tweet to the top
That Adabadi, who's our DJ, is asking for forms
For anyone who's interested in sharing their music
Yeah, lots of cool stuff
We're actually transitioning into a space in four minutes here
With Zaulpalooza to share more about the event
If anyone's interested as well
Absolutely
Absolutely, we're interested
I'll definitely be able to absolutely raid that space
Are you doing that on the Zaulpalooza account as well?
I'm doing it on the Zaulpalooza account
And then tomorrow we have Wave Wars on my account
Which is going to be Jack Miller and Adabadi
Who are two artists that are performing
We have about 12 artists that are in Web3 somewhat
And then five artists that are completely new to Web3
So we just want to show what the Web3 community is about
What it all means to be your own platform
And just share the opportunities that on-chain technology brings to the artist
Give them another tool in their belt to market with, right?
So I think it's a super awesome opportunity
For us as a brand at ZTalent to share with the world
We've got a lot of awesome performers
I'm just excited to see everyone
And get to chat with the community
Get to see profile faces to real faces
Yeah, well, you're welcome to pin those at the top as well
Pin those spaces at the top so people can set the reminder for the one that's for tomorrow
And then also jump straight over from this one to your space in three minutes
Yeah, I got it
I wanted to ask you, have I managed to speak to you
Or has Tommy managed to speak to you at all yet?
I don't know if he's actually shot me a message or anything like that
But if you want to put us in a group chat on Twitter, we could do that as well
We'll be live here on Monday from 6 o'clock
Which would have been, what, five hours ago
We normally hang out there on a Monday afternoon
I'll be able to get you on stage and get you to speak to him directly
Because he's the guy that's responsible for all the music there now
He managed to convince the organisers to let him do all the music
So he's basically turning up with an army of web-free artists to perform
So you'll see a bunch of artists on stage at the official event
And that's what he's doing, his job is to put on all the live music there
That's awesome, I love that
Ok, yeah, definitely, I will try and join Monday
That's an hour before our ZaoZoom
We have that every Monday at 11am Pacific
Which is an hour after the time you just said
So yeah, I can definitely jump in before that
And if anyone else is interested in joining that, feel free to reach out
And you're very welcome, it's basically a chill and share space
But on Zoom, and you get an opportunity to break out into breakout rooms
With another individual in either the music or text space
And yeah, just get an opportunity to meet people
It's an opportunity for me to share what I'm doing for the week with everyone
What I've done in the last week and the people I've been building with
So yeah, thanks guys
Yeah, I just saw a really good opportunity
Because he's going to be there with a bunch of music artists
And you're putting on a web-free music-focused event
One of those evenings, not all of the artists are going to be on stage at the same time
So I imagine they're going to have some down time
They're going to want stuff to do
So I figured that he could obviously help his artists
By giving them somewhere where they could go party, basically
I love it, yeah, I'll definitely jump in tomorrow
And you can give me the cue
And we'll just have a conversation there
Let's go, that is amazing
But that is exactly what this is about
Is connecting and moving forward together like this
And you know, Zal, you do a great job of that
You've been really trying to help artists
And bring people over to web3 and show them what's possible
And I imagine your schedule is absolutely mental
And I really do appreciate the level of energy that you bring as well
Because you've always had a consistent level of positivity
And love for everyone
You can just clearly see you're not in no competition with anyone
And that is why you will always win
And I love your content on TikTok as well
Where you always motivate and inspire the positivity that you bring
And I need to start tracking the books that you've read
Because the books that you read from absolutely rock my world
And you have me sat there at the end of my bed for three hours
Questioning my entire existence from every angle that there is
So yeah, the books that you read are absolutely amazing
And I think I need to get a little list of books to read from you
So I can disappear into a little rabbit hole for a month or two
And come out like a legend
Yeah, no, you let me know what you're interested in reading
What type of thing
And I've definitely at least started to read
Or have an idea of a couple good books
I could even recommend like three that are just
No matter what good reads
That are just like awesome opportunities
But yeah, no, I would love that
You let me know when you're ready
I know it's always tough to find an opportunity to read a book
But I actually have this book here that I just started reading
It's called Wherever You Go
There You Are
It's Mindful Meditation in Everyday Life
And it's actually really nice
Because it's only three pages long per chapter
So you get an opportunity
Like you just said
I do have an actually crazy busy schedule
Moving all the time
And I don't get a chance to read that often
So this is awesome to take that opportunity
Even if I get five minutes
I can read a chapter
So it gives me an opportunity to read a little bit
And that's like
That's the one I've been reading most recently
And I've been really enjoying it
Yeah, and it does
It absolutely opens your perspective
And I've always wanted to sit and read for the piece
And the zone out of reality
And into a comfortable place of almost meditative state
So finding the right books to do that with is near impossible
When you don't even know where to start
But this is the power of content creation
I absolutely love
I'm such a fan of being a content creator
Because that's sort of like how my journey started
I've actually just pinned a video at the top
I don't normally plug myself
So do forgive me
I'm not trying to promote myself
But the reason for the video is
My journey started through content creation
And it just made me think of it when
Kalani was talking about
How her journey started from
You know, writing songs
And it's going to progress into singing
And the productive side of it
And I would not have met all the people
I absolutely love
If I hadn't of started doing something
I always wanted to do
But I was always anxious and worried about
What other people would think
How I would look
Whether I'd be terrible
And all that stuff
So that video just sort of talks about
Because now I'm building my entire life around
Everything that we do in web3
And through content creation
So I just am really grateful for
You guys for being so supportive
But also doing what you guys want to do for yourselves
And the things that you love to do
Because you don't realise the impact
You have on other people
And for the most part
You'll never hear from the people
You motivate the most
So I just think it's kind of a
A cheesable beautiful thing that
People are benefiting from
And I can't sing
Being yourself any higher if I try
Because I think it's really important
And we all should do it
But a lot of people don't
For whatever reason
And I think deep down
A lot of the mental struggles
That we go through
Is because
That we're sort of falling away from ourselves
And the more you be yourself
The better your life is
And the better you can be
For the sake of the people
Around you as well
But yeah I know that was pretty deep
But it comes from a place of complete passion
For the things that we do in web 3
But if anyone is not on the stage
And you want to come up
And you want to speak about anything web 3
Or anything you're working on
You're welcome to do so
You know the space has probably got about
10 or 15 minutes left
Before you do bring it to a close
But yeah Kalani I just wanted to
You know talk to you for a little bit more
If that's all right
Sure sounds good to me
So when it comes to making content
Around your music
Do you have a specific schedule around that
Or do you just sort of go with the floor
In regards of it being built
Around the things that you're doing
Because I imagine when you're making your music
And you're working with artists
That you're either traveling around
Or you're building
Like for example one of the recent songs you did
You spent 6 months building that
To where it is to be released
I imagine you went through a lot of things
To get that to where it was at
And a lot of content must have been created
Throughout that whole process
Yeah I think I'm continually refining my content strategy
I've tried a number of different ideas
And I really resonate to what was said before
About kind of like batching your content
That's incredible that he films 17 music videos
And cuts them and uses them
I think that's super smart
I have done that when I recorded the
I'm not Superman music video
I just had my photographer shoot a bunch of content
All at once
And it lasted me for a while
Sometimes it's hard because I do travel a lot
And stuff to find someone consistent to do that with
However I do think batching is the way
I try to take a couple hours on the weekends
Actually after this call I'm going to be working on content
So yeah, one, just batching it
Two, I try to also just record the process
So a lot of times when I'm singing or when I'm setting up or something
Just like taking shots
So that later I can
Which is what I'm doing right now
I'm looking back on my journey and saying
Wow, how far did I come?
And just kind of using that to share
A couple different strategies
But yeah, I think as an artist
It is important to do it well
So it doesn't monopolize your time
But you're also putting quality content out there
Yeah, I agree with you there
But I'm so glad that you're doing that
Because that is something that I don't think we do enough
You know, one of the things being
Looking back at how far you've come
Because sometimes we lose sight of that
When you aim so high
And you want to take something all the way
The journey is often really long
And you forget how far you've come
And where you were when you started
And that's on a mental but a physical sense as well
And one of the things I think we underestimate is ourselves
You know, like just as an example
There's a guy who follows me on one of my socials called Gary
And he's a really smart man
I think he's in his early 50s
He looks like he's an older gentleman
But he looks very healthy as well
But he's really smart and I looked up to him
And I learned a lot from his content
But what I didn't realize was he enjoyed my content too
Which I just didn't expect
Because I thought, you know, him listening to me speak
When he had ten times more knowledge than I did
But when I got talking to him on a more personal level
He enjoyed watching my journey
Knowing that he'd been through his
And could sort of see where I was with mine
But I didn't expect that
So it kind of gave me a lot of confidence when I was making my content
Thinking that, you know, people may see it who have already been where I am
And have succeeded and, you know, been there, done that t-shirt type of thing
But he really enjoyed watching my journey from my perspective
And it just gave me a lot of confidence when I was making my content in the future
So, yeah, I'm glad that you're looking back on your achievements
To see how far you've come because it's important that we do that
I also think, what I'm trying to remind myself about content too
Is that it's also a long game
Like the more you produce and the more consistently
You take content and create it, the better you'll be
A lot of the content creators and artists that I look up to
Have been doing this for like twelve years
You know, they've been putting out content on social media
So I am hoping to just continue to iterate on the videos I'm creating
Make them better and better each time
Yeah, I agree with that
Sorry, I thought, are you going to add something there, Christian
Or have your muted back to the broth?
No, sorry
Yeah, no, it's all right
Yeah, but Wolf Punks is on the stage
Wolf Punks, first of all, happy Saturday
Welcome, my friends
Thank you for joining us
How are we doing, brother?
Doing good, doing good, busy
I did two transports today
Two dogs to Florida
Six puppies are going to Maine
So that was pretty good
It's always a good weekend when we get to send dogs off
But I was going to say
And you know, I don't know if this is our culture now
Or if this is like
The lack of
Like self
Gratification, right?
But like, maybe that's not the right word
But like, okay, like, I finally realize
That like, I'm a
I'm going to cuss, I know I normally don't
But like, I'm a badass motherfucker at what I do
Like, honestly, right?
And I've finally been okay with admitting that
And it's because, like, I've listened to the people in the space
And that's what I love about the people in the space so much
You know, for one thing, I get to recognize how great I am
But I always get to recognize how great everybody else is
Like, the other day when I was telling you about how
I love your videos and stuff every time I see them
You know, I love what Tricky's doing, dawglings
Like, everybody in the space, right?
Like, that we surround ourselves with
You know, even people that are in here that
Like, Trey, that don't have a project and they're out here
Like, supporting, which is even harder, right?
Because you're not necessarily reaping all of the benefits
But you're out here, like, working constantly to help people, right?
And, you know, I never realized it until the other day
I told my story about how I got into rescue
And I said, you know, I watched a video, cried, and blah, blah, blah
And then I got home and I was like, you know, the whole homage
Like, the t-shirt saying, like, somebody's got to do something
Well, I'm somebody, right?
You know, when most people say that stuff and it's like
They never follow through with it, right?
And it's like, and I finally had somebody tell me that
They were like, no, don't you realize, like, you said you were going to do something
And you did, and not only you did it, but, like, you took it to the extreme
And I'm like, finally, and this has just happened, like, probably in the last month
Because I don't look at anything that I do as special
I just look at it as necessary, right?
Like, to me, saving dogs is just, like, something that I need to do
And I don't think it's better than what other people are doing
Like, I think it's important that everybody's just doing something, right?
Like, it doesn't have to be what I'm into
It's just, like, and it's actually good that it's not
Because everybody would be doing dog rescue
And people wouldn't be helping people
Yeah, it's significant as well if everyone was doing it
And it's important to you, you know, and obviously it's also important
And it's important to you, but I'm glad you just touched on that
Because I just want to quickly expand on that
You know, for a large part of our lives, we don't show up for ourselves as much as we should
You know, we show up for our 9-5s when we don't want to be there
We're always on time, we're committed to it, we do what needs to be done
We make this change and then you don't really fully commit to it
And that's why we don't trust ourselves to be who we want to be
But don't think we're capable of it
Because we're not used to showing up for ourselves
But since, like, for example, you're on your journey now
You're showing up for yourself and you are doing what you're saying you're going to do
And that is building trust and confidence in yourself
And it's good for you to say to yourself
I am this, I do this, I'm good at this
And be confident in it because it's not coming from a place of arrogance
It's coming from a place of passion and success
You know, you've earned the right to say that in a way that's not putting anyone down
You're just lifting yourself up, which is what we should do more often
So I'm glad that you are in a position where you're able to say that
But you earn that all by yourself, so fair play
Yeah, I appreciate that
And that's what I love about Web3 is not only do I get to realize that I'm doing something good
And that I'm, like you said, not arrogant
But people ask me why I like to partner with so many people
And it's not really like I partner with a lot of people
I partner with really good people
But it's because not only do I want to
I think our power together can make us all grow
But I want other people to have that moment
Because it was really a good feeling when I was like, wait a minute
You're a pretty amazing person for what you're doing
And I'll tell you this, too
The community of communities has been a lot of what's shown me that
Because you get people to come into your community to leave or whatever
But no matter whether I'm doing something positive
Or I'm having a hard time because it's not easy what I'm doing
Or what any of us are doing
But we always have that place to come back
Tricky will text me just like, hey, what's up, man, how you doing
Even if he knows I'm sick or whatever
So I just love that
And that's why this is my first community that I ever joined
And it will be the one that I stay in always
Because I think that we are all here for the right reasons
Not discounting any other, but I just really love the people from this space
Yeah, thank you, bro
And we appreciate the recognition because we live for that
And not because we want to be patted on the back
Because everyone who is here does all their own work on their own
And achieves things for themselves
But we want to play our part to help the industry and the people in it
So when you say that we have played some positive part of what you're doing
That makes me personally, I'm sure everyone on the team feels the same
But feel accomplished
And all the sleepless nights and the hours that we put in
And the effort that we put in on the back end
Just feels worth it
Because that's all we want to do
Is we just want everyone to realize that everyone is badass
Everyone is amazing
And if you're not, you can be
And you've just got to commit to that
Because there's a reason why we're all here
We all have a purpose
Everyone has been through so much to get to where they are
And I always have to say this to myself as well
If I was to tell my problems to myself as if it was someone else
I would be like, wow, you've really been through a lot, fair play
But we don't give ourselves that credibility
And I think that once we stop looking for that credibility from outside sources
And we only look for it from ourselves
And we stop competing with outside sources
And we only stop competing with ourselves
And you become healthier
Because you're not putting yourself down
You're starting to realize the effort you're putting in
And the positive impact that it's having
And that benefits the lives of everyone around you
Thanks to the community's core team
It's the only reason I can do what I do
And I'm still here because I wouldn't have been able to continue without them
They've helped me through more personal things than web3 things you can ever imagine
I'm on the phone to these guys every day
And I have my own difficulties with my own mental health
And the reason I'm able to confidently keep moving forward is thanks to them
And same as you, Wolfpunks, as well
Everyone that's supported the community has been the reason why we're all able to move forward
And as long as we're all there for each other
And constantly improving all the time
That we're just going to get better and stronger and more successful
So I appreciate you pointing it out
And we get to see it actually in effect in real time
Thank you, bro, you're a legend
Appreciate that
I just want to say the one thing
And I've heard you say this before
And this is one of the driving forces for me
But if we can just imagine if everybody in the space would have listened to this
And instead of rugging a project
And I'm not talking about the purpose rugs
I'm talking about the people that got frustrated and gave up or didn't realize it
But what you said about
You will go to a job that you hate
Consistently
And you will work hard for them
And you will make them tons of money
But you give up on yourself
And if you just, like, put that into perspective
Instead of giving up on yourself
You just put as much effort into
That you put into your other stuff that you are doing for other people
It makes you realize, wait a minute
Instead of giving up
Because of your job, people will beg to keep their job if they mess up
But here it's like they leave
You said that a long time ago and that's always stuck with me
No matter what happens in my project
At least it's my project
And it's the community's project
And I have a responsibility to them
So maybe if more people would think like that
We could keep them on
I'm so glad you said that
And I'm glad that that resonated with you
Because, you know, it resonated with me
And that's why I felt the need to say it
Because what you're doing now is for you and your life and your purpose
And before, when you're working for a job
Let's just say you're minimum wage
And let's just say that that's $10 for argument's sake
You're only worth $10 an hour
But that's what you think because that's what you're given
But now, what you're doing is worth your life
And your life is invaluable
Because that's what you're now paying in
You're paying in your time, which is your life
And time is precious and limited
And we don't even know how much time we have
And that's our greatest asset
And then you start to realize that you are the asset
And that you are your own greatest asset
And when you invest in yourself as cheesy as it sounds
I'm happy to say it
You know, you realize that you're worth way more than just a small amount of this money
That can be printed as a drop of a hat, you know
So that's the beauty of what I feel about these spaces
And Web3 is that we're all starting to learn about what we are
We have a value
And again, not from a place of arrogance
But so that we can put that thought into what we're doing
And it just gives it a value that you can't even calculate on a financial level
Because we have a purpose
And what we're doing means more than money
And it means more than what it meant before
And it gives us a reason to wake up in the morning
You know, like, you lot on the team
You know, give me a reason to wake up in the morning
And I'm a better man than I was a year ago
Thanks to this
And my wife's benefiting from that
My five children
The things I'm able to teach my kids now
And the relationship I have with them now
Is ten times better, thanks to a group of strangers on the internet
That I've never met in my life
Like, how bizarre is that for a thought, you know
So, you know, well done to everyone for doing what you do
Because the meaning of it is so much deeper than just
A group of profile pictures that show up on a phone screen
Until your phone dies
Unless you're tricking, you've got fifteen phones in nine different rooms
Look, you know what I did one day
So I made a really good paycheck
And I made
So, the way automotive works, you don't get paid
By the hour, you don't get paid
You get paid by however many hours you flagged, right
So I had a month long that I flagged
Two hundred hours a week every week
Because we were covered up with work, right
And I worked like sixteen, eighteen hours a day, right
And I remembered, like, so I ended up making
In that month
Just around ten thousand dollars, right
And I was really impressed with that
Until I sat back and I thought
Now, this is just on labor what they made off of
Directly off of my back
I made ten and they made forty thousand
And that's when I was like
There's no way that you're gonna get anywhere
Working for somebody else because
They could have paid me double what I made
And it would have still benefited them
But why would they pay me double
Because I was glad to work for what I was getting
Even though when the slow time
And this is the problem with automotive
You know, slow times of the year and stuff
You know, you may only flag like
Twenty, thirty hours a week, right
And you only make what you make from that, right
And it's like
Not to mention the parts that you're selling
I couldn't even imagine how much money I made on that
Because I worked for the used car department
And they flag
I mean, they charge the used car department
Like, you know, more than what they charge a customer
You know, and so
You know, you just sometimes have to look at things like
Even if I made less money
Doing this, right, at the end of the day
You're doing it for yourself
You know, and it's
You know, it's really like
A perspective
But here's the thing, too
It is scary, right
For some people
I think it was less scary for me
Because, like I said, I've always worked
In jobs where I was
Either, you know, like a mechanic
Or a commercial fisherman
So I've always worked
I've never had guaranteed pay
But somebody that has guaranteed pay
It kind of almost boxes them into that
Like, to not want to go outside of it
And that's what we need
You've become dependent on it, you know what I mean?
Like, before, you had to
Spend your time doing something you didn't want to do
To be able to pay your bills
But now what you're doing is
You're living your passion
For the benefit of the things you couldn't most about
With these animals and people, you know
And that's a complete shift
That you can't even
It's hard to even describe, you know
And I think that's why
Web3 is so important
Because, you know, if your income
Is the only thing you have to keep you alive
Then you have to give it a value
But if you can depend on
If you do have a 9-5
But then you also are building
Or monetising your passion in Web3
And you've got multiple incomes
You're not as dependent
Which means that you've got more strength
In your life
Because you can
You know, you're not
Basically summoned to that one thing
That you don't really want to do anywhere
But you feel you have to, you know
So I think it's great that Web3 is what it is
And offers what it does
And that's why, you know, we're always talking about
Living your passion
And, you know, the fact that we can even monetise
And gamify education as well
So that, you know, we can build a brand around yourself
You know, that's one of the reasons why
I'm so passionate about content creation
Because people don't know what they're capable of
Until they do it
And people don't know how far they can go with something
Unless they commit to it
You know, and if, you know, the only risk is failing
Then that's not a thing to be afraid of at all
You know, and that's the beauty of this
And as long as you don't stop doing it
You know, you can't fail
As long as you're wise enough to know
That you've got to pivot multiple times
Before you find the path that works
So yeah, well said bro, definitely
Well, I'll tell you this too
There's one thing
My, me and my wife have kind of been going through some things
We've been together for 18 years, right?
And we're working on some things
Our marriage is kind of like
We're going through some stuff, you know
But I'll tell you this, two things
I am a better person for her now
And I can recognize some of the stuff that I was doing
Because I was putting other people over my, like, importance
Right, which is in then putting them over her importance
But the thing that I really have decided that I want to do
And this is like the most thing that I want to accomplish
Even more than like wolf punks like being
You know, like wolf punks is crazy important to me
But my wife is a teacher
And she goes through a ton of crap
Because the teaching, like, administration is horrible
The kids are horrible because they are not getting taught right
And it's not their fault
Like, and this whole thing with COVID has just been
I mean, she has a kid that's in third grade that can't read
You know, and it's directly because of COVID, right?
I mean, what they went through in COVID, right?
So, and, you know, she just doesn't have parents that care
So anyway, the thing that I will be happy with
And this is what I want to accomplish eventually
And I don't even know what the avenue we're going to go to to get it
Is I want my wife to be able to quit her job teaching in a school
And I want to bring her to Web 3
And have a way to actually make a difference to children
And do what she's passionate about because she's an amazing teacher
She's amazing with the kids
But she has to put up with so much, you know, B.S. from a lot of this
That's the meaning of the metaverse
And that's what I want to accomplish, you know, give and find the education
It's the same with my son, he can't stand still
And sometimes, you know, he gets really upset about it
Because, you know, he doesn't intentionally mean to struggle as much as he does
It's just, we're not supposed to learn like this
And it is an indoctrination, however you want to look at it
Yes, education is important and socialising
But, you know, we can factor that in
In a different way and we are going to change that
Web 3 already is and people are...
You know, what they have is incredible
And the fact that people can learn in the metaverse
In a gamified way and in a rewarding way as well
You know, so yeah, we're here for the right reasons
And, you know, I hope that you can achieve that with your wife
I'm sure you will, you know, because I can tell that you're one of those
That you ain't going to stop until you do
Right, exactly
You know, that's where our jobs come in to, you know, relay the message to people
In a way where they can receive it
That's why I take content creation so seriously
Because I've always been afraid that people will see a video of mine
About Web 3 and be put off
So I've always tried to make sure I do the best I can
I know I'm not the best content creator in the world
But I've always tried to...
My best to relay the message in a way that won't put people off
But, yeah, listen to the video
I think there's a possibility of something magical, you know
I'll tell you why I love your content so much
And, like, you know, I watch...
Of course, I see other content creators and stuff
The reason that I like yours is because, for one
And I guess this is kind of what people tell me about me with my project
I can... 100% I can tell the passion
Like, when you're telling something, when you're talking about something
I can tell that it's, like, a real thing
Because you really believe in what you're saying
But the other thing is, like, you're just you
You're not trying to be somebody, right?
Like, you're just you
Like, whether you're walking or talking
It's like, I mean, honestly, any time that I see your videos on, you know, the stream
Or, like, you'll send me a video
I instantly watch it
And, you know, it's funny because, you know, there's YouTube creators
There's, you know, all kinds of content creators, right?
But one thing I've realized is everybody that I enjoy
Is a... It's because they just act like a real person
They don't have that kind of, like, facade about them, right?
It's like, I feel like if I met you today
Well, I know it would be this way
If I met you today, in your video, in your family life, in your Web3 life
It's all the same
And that's what, you know, I think is amazing
Thank you, bro
Honestly, that means more than I can tell you
Because I am just me, you know, I don't try and do it in any other way
And so I appreciate that it comes across that way as well
And that you actually vibe with it for that reason, you know, that means a lot
And I only learned, like, two and a half years after making content
That authenticity, which is when you say something that you believe, and it is true
Is, well, there's some science behind it, like, 4,000 times more powerful
Than love in regards of a frequency that we have emit
And I didn't even know that
So I appreciate that you say that
Because I do really love making content
And I am obviously super passionate about Web3
So I appreciate that you even watch my videos at all, you know
And the support that I get
And like I said, like, Christian Doglins does all the artwork
The team support what I do
You know, I can talk about things because they're creating it
And it's the same with everyone in the community, you know
So I do appreciate that
We are going to have to bring the space to a close in a moment, though
Because we want to go and raid Zal's space
But, honestly, we'll thank you so much for your kind words
And for always having the body you've had
And saving animals, you know, what you're doing anymore
And it is badass, so, you know, we appreciate everything you do, bro
Especially when you go through so many difficulties with your health as well
Well, and I'll tell you this, too
I think that, you know, we talk about Web3, we talk about that
But, like, I do
It's like I work alone with what I'm doing, but I don't
Because Tricky has always been here since, you know, I started working in Web3
And we connected
And if I needed something or anything, he's there
And also, like, watching your content has made me improve in my content
Like, so what I focus on now is, like, the dog stories, posting the pictures, making sure it sounds good, letting people know
And it's like, instead of where, like, I might have said
Hey, let me get a social media person and they can just do this all
I do it myself
And then, now I have actually connected with somebody
That I'm working with a little bit that is helping me with social media
And kind of, like, he's like a dude that charges, like, a bunch of money
And he's helping me for free because of, like, what I'm doing
But he's taught me a lot of stuff, like, to focus mainly on the, like, the dog rescue section and stuff
Because I had some stuff posted, like, you know, like, I was making, like, a joke
Like, watch out Red Riding Hood, the wolves are coming
And he's like, no, he said, you just need to stay and push what you're passionate about, right?
Because it sounds more genuine
And the other thing that I love is, if tomorrow, I was like, you know what?
I need to get better at social media
And I could literally come in here and be like, hey, can we jump on a call?
I want you to show me, like, or I got some ideas that I'm doing and I want to ask you what you think
And I can do that
And I can do that with everybody in the room
I mean, Doglin's helped me get my pass for in the book
You know, like, just everybody's amazing in here
And so, that's the thing I think about Web3
Is you feel like, yes, you're doing a lot of this stuff yourself
Directing it
But, you know, you have the world behind you
So, you know, I just appreciate everything that we're accomplishing
You know, I hope, this is my hope
Is I hope the more people that we are on board to community to communities
And I hope they're able to get the same feeling that I get from the community
Because to tell you the truth, I feel like whatever I want to do today
I can do it
And if I stumble, I can come in here and say, hey, guys, what do you think about this?
What can I do to make it better?
And, you know, it'll accomplish it
So, yeah, it's very amazing to be in Web3 and meet the people that we have
So, I'm thankful for that
Yeah, thank you, bro
Honestly, there's so many flowers in there, you know, we appreciate it
It means the world, you know, we're all so busy doing what we do that we, you know, we don't look at what we do enough probably
So, you know, I appreciate your appreciation, silly as that sounds
But, you know, it does mean a lot
Because that's it, we're all just passionate trying to accomplish our goals
And we all have different strengths
And it means a lot that anything that I do helps anyone in any way at all, you know
And I'm sure everyone feels the same
I'm glad that you appreciate the content
But also, you know, I feel that you can do more with yours as a result
You know, that's really made me happy
So, thank you for even saying that
We will go around the room now and get a closing remark off, everybody
I will start with you, Kalani, sorry
Your name's going to catch me up every single time
But have you got any closing remarks?
And obviously, thank you for your time tonight
Yeah, I just want to say thank you again
Great vibes, I have learned a lot
I love connecting with people, that's part of why I do this
So, I appreciate people who are hosting these spaces to bring everyone together
So, thank you
Yeah, I appreciate the way that Rufus wants to say your name in at least four different ways now
Which has been very entertaining for me throughout the space
But it's been a really good one
Thanks for coming to join us, it was really good
I swear he got it right once, twice too
This is why I love you boys, honestly, you're legends
But yeah, I'm sure I'll butcher that for years to come
Until I see it on the TV and I'm like, I'll be saying it perfectly
Oh yeah, I remember speaking to him on one of our spaces
I never got a name wrong once, I swear everyone else did, but I didn't
But yeah, no, thank you
I'm not even going to try and say your name now
Because now I'm nervous, but thank you very much
But yeah, nice one for pointing that out boys
I'm sure I'll be able to grow back out for about a year
But who cares? No, I'm just kidding
But thank you
Wolf as well, thank you
Tricky, Bacon, Christian, Trey, Tony, Z, Charlie, Steve, Shane, Katz, Shorty and Paradox
You guys are amazing for checking in, listening in, supporting the space
And just being yourselves, which is the most important part of all of it
But yeah, Christian, have you got any closing remarks other than telling me to shut up, bro?
Short and sweet, I like it, nice one, bro
Trey, have you got any closing remarks, my friend?
And again, thank you for doing a great job of the guest, as always
I'm looking forward to hearing Kailani's new song, April 5th
One million percent, definitely
And you said her name different to how I've said it every single time so far
So now I'm even more worried about that
But no, yeah, definitely we'll get whatever the song is
If you can get that sent to me, Kailani
I will make sure I put it somewhere safe
If you want to come up yourself and play it and then tell everyone about it
And where it's pinned, you can do that as well
So we'll definitely work on that on the back end
But yeah, no, thank you, Trey, thank you, everyone
I will play us out on our song that was made by VI underscore NFTs
Who have an ecosystem that makes AI-generated music tailor-made to your ecosystem
And as always, a massive shout-out to Shaggy from CBW Radio
Who created our intro for our space as well
The man is a legend
So thank you very much, everyone
I will play us out
Thank you, Shaggy
And together we rise and we're taking back our soul.
And together we rise and we're taking back our soul.
And together we rise and we're taking back our soul.
And together we rise and we're taking back our soul
And together we rise and we're taking back our soul.
