yo what's up hey ashley hey nfg demon gm gm i just got back from the gym
what's up everybody oh we got the squad in here we got undead blocks we got decentral cosmic wire
we got oh man this is a squad we got uh nikki saps how's everybody doing getting everybody up here
now hey what's up it's uh santa decides on the cosmic wire account they're one of our clients
uh i'll go ahead and tell you who to uh throw up here with us or right now uh zach if you could
throw up mech.com you're already ahead of that adam boy uh nikki down there nikki saps nikki's awesome
uh we have obviously go rosen down there and if thomas wants to hop he can too
how's everybody doing today hey what's not amazing
great y'all were talking at the same time i was like i'm not really sure uh who uh
oh shit there's a lot of alphas up in this chat i already i can already foresee three four people
talking at the same time oh yeah i just i feel just the power of it right now
but yeah guys i mean damn i hope all of you are coming out here to decentral like every time i go
in these spaces i feel like i'll everybody coming out is coming to visit me i forget more than more
than myself lives out here in miami brother i cannot wait to go get drinks with you like i'm
gonna be so stoked for it uh i don't like to brag but i'm kind of a speaker if you could uh oh sorry
uh if uh you could potentially like make a tweet real quick and some or just like try to like rally
your followers in here that'd be cool shit uh the genzo co has got some uh topics to discuss and this
should just be a lot of fun for us yeah what's up hey everybody so we got a lot of different people
here from uh you know a lot of different communities we're also going to be giving out
some decentral tickets uh in this event too so if you haven't like you know bought a ticket or whatever
that's that's no big deal we're gonna see we might be able to hook you up in this space a lot of
different speakers who are pretty you know well known and uh yeah so if everyone could take a quick
second just like retweet or share out the kind of the pin tweet here we can kind of get more folks in
here but yeah we're going to be talking about web 3 chatting with these different companies on what
they do why they decided to go web 3 what people should know about them and then kind of with
everything happening with spf uh and you know the different things in crypto and web 3 like
are nfts dead like is is this kind of like a downward spiral we're seeing here or is this just
beginning of kind of a refresh in the future of what's going to happen so lots of things to talk
about here today super excited to have everybody here i think just to kick it off it'd be really
helpful if everyone just said kind of you know what who they are and kind of what what they do
uh and what their company does all right shit well um everybody hates awkward silence so i guess i'll
just jump in um we're mech.com over here guys and we're building uh fun entertaining hyper casual
games that are going to use web 3 technology to improve on what people have already done in web 2
um yeah you hear the whole bring over web 2 to web 3 every single corner you turn but what you
actually need to be thinking about and looking at is how we can use what we have here in web 3 to make
web 2 better because that's where everybody is still really at and that's what's going to end up
bringing them after the fact but yeah i mean you know mech.com video game we got a lot of big shit
coming undead blocks love you decentral i mean shit we're practically neighbors and about to get
it in and in the next few weeks excited to hear what everybody else has to say
well i guess i'll go next uh my name is jeremy ryan also known as nft demon i come doxed so i always
give my first and last name not only do i come doxed i come with a wikipedia page um but i do have an
llc named uh nft demon enterprises that i never really use for much of anything um so i guess
technically i do have a company but i am the largest uh nft artist on the binance smart chain
um i didn't have any artistic ability growing up and it wasn't until a four-year round with cancer
that had spread from my knee to my lung to my brain um it was the brain portion of it that gave me my
artistic ability and um i'm currently in remission now so uh it's not something that um that is uh
as bad of a thing for me right now um but i had zero percent chance and uh it gave me the ability to
do art and so that's what i've been doing um making nfts and becoming the largest artist on the
binance smart chain which is the third largest chain in the world for nfts
i don't know how i'm supposed to follow that up but uh i'll try um i am ashley decan also known as
the titty queen on twitter been in the nft space for over a year now and uh my main reason for being
called the titty queen is because i make jokes about me or about titties specifically and uh my platform
stands uh to help spread awareness about breast cancer research and raise money for breast cancer
research that's kind of like my uh bread and butter is is is trying to keep it fun and also
you know have a mission behind it so uh been in the space for a little bit i have a collection called
crypto titties that i use to help donate to the american cancer society and uh yeah i'm here to have
fun and uh you know do whatever oh oh and i also work with ginzio so that's why i'm here
oh that's a lot of cool cool stuff uh yeah my name is hash i'm kind of the co-founder of dxco.network
we kind of build already three applications from a launchpad to token lockers a lot of defi
infrastructure stuff uh helping entrepreneurs kick off their journey in crypto and and yeah we're
building out a new kind of a new game that basically allows anyone to inject their nfts into the game
and play them across 16 chains so that's something that we're working on right now
uh i'll go ahead and speak on a cosmic wire next uh basically uh this is one of our clients over at
genzio and uh it's the entire goal between cosmic wires to bridge the gap between web
two and web three it should be uh definitely incredible for the space yeah and i go ahead
jake i was just gonna say uh and uh dogecoin ride we're definitely going to be bringing you
up here sometime soon my brother uh we just got to uh uh have one more speaker space open
what were you gonna say zach oh yeah i was gonna say yeah super excited to have cosmic wire here too
and you repping them uh cosmic wire is launching like buck rogers uh and some other really mainstream
brands like in the space we can't say them all yet but in terms of web two brands entering web three
we're literally working with some of the biggest brands in the world that you all know very well
um so super excited for that
what's up guys um nicky saps you can just call me nick like everyone else um yeah i'm like uh
spent like two lifetimes in this space um two crypto lifetimes um started out back in 2013
building bitcoin miners um started this company divvy back in 2017 did an ico and we invented the first
one click master node clap if you remember master nodes that era of crypto um and since then we've
gotten a patent on uh cold staking from a mobile phone and a bunch of other stuff our phone our mobile
wallet is the official wallet of la liga the spanish spot soccer league we mostly build um ease of use
software and uh web three technologies for enterprise as our sort of b2b side of things um right now
probably the most exciting thing we're working on is uh cross-chain staking with uh what we call it
real fi so implementing our actual revenue streams into the staking protocol to enable uh real yield for
people that are engaging with our platforms um and we build a bunch of other stuff but uh won't go
won't go much longer than that it's uh happy to be here
yeah we are undead blocks uh i am kyle gordon i'm the director of business development this is a
shout out to nick and his project if you don't know who the hell divvy is check them out i was one of the
first 50 people to run a master node anyways that was a shameless shield sorry about that we're undead
blocks uh if you have been under a rock and haven't seen one of our tournaments or something
that we've been giving away money we have a first person shooter that is a hundred percent live right
now with three different game modes that you can play uh all the barrier of entry is just email and
go verify that you're a bot we're trying to knock down that wall that's sitting at web 2.5 that's
keeping people on web 2.0 side getting it from getting into web 3.0 trying to do that as fun as
possibly we can and keep it frictionless uh going to be a hundred percent live with all of our game
modes here at the end of the year we have a large tournament here coming up in nashville tennessee
we're giving away seven thousand five hundred dollars in person this coming up weekend so if
you're out anywhere near that make sure you come out it's completely free to come and enter
uh but that's just what we're doing we're going to be porting to mobile next year so you'll be able
to check us out on pc mac and mobile just trying to bring fun on the blockchain
i love that that's dope also hey what's up uh dogecoin ride how you doing brother
i'm doing good thanks for having me how's the dogecoin life it's going pretty good we had a big
space last night uh a doge 420 themed space with some of the best personalities uh
tara bull fitty was in there you know they're probably the biggest doge supporter you know
some people love them some you know have issues but uh unlike switzerland you know matt wallace was
there so you know we put the 420 theme together we had a great show obviously when we got the room
to the fill to the top it got rugged but uh you know what i do is i just kind of onboard you know
the doge uh community into quality nft projects i come from a podcasting background so you know i feel
comfortable creating spaces doing dms and kind of bringing uh different communities and putting on a
you know a big room but also a quality room too
let's go and then we also have the legendary radio shack
whoa what's up radio shack it's santa the guy you were just talking to
oh yeah you probably can't speak can you i can speak what's up oh what's good do you want to uh
shill your brand a little bit now no i do not i don't think i'm allowed to do that
oh heck are we allowed to shill it for you um i don't know about that that's a
all right i'll shill for you i'll shill they uh they are currently out of business there's no uh
in real life locations they're thinking about changing their name to titty shack that that's
all that i have for them they're also selling vibrator batteries
uh so uh did uh devin get to go i can't remember hey hey yeah sorry i was uh i was actually eating
lunch um thank you so much um what's up guys my name is devin leos i am a communications executive
ceo of d digital and vice president of so a marketing agency specializing in public relations
so i've been doing public relations for the last six years been in media for 14 years
worked with celebrities multi-sector entrepreneurs and brands and essentially what i do is i help
people tell their brand story and build their personal brand and corporate reputations by
communicating what they're truly about through the media so i get people featured in top tier media
outlets as well as on tv um contributing as expert segments and things like that so that they can you
know talk about what is going on in their markets and ultimately get their story about out about what
their brand is and you know i i essentially help people brands become authorities in their space so um
yeah it's great to be here thank you so much um yeah thank you for having me guys
let's go and we'll also be rotating more people out uh too this fucking you know twitter only allows
so many people to speak at once i'm sure elon if you can hear this please please allow more than 10
people on stage at once i'm sure that's technically possible um okay next question for anybody here who
wants to go why did you decide to go like web 3 versus just doing this the traditional way like
i mean i know web 3 is really hype uh and you know there's been a lot of excitement around that in
the industry as of late but for example like mech.com or you know maybe unblood blocks you know what why
why web 3 you know what what do you see as the big advantage here for gamers i'll go first man uh like
not even just like on a gaming scale in general the people in web 3 are so nice like i have not been to
a single networking event and had a single issue with anybody everybody's just so accepting like
obviously you guys all just randomly hopped on the space and we're like hey we're all friends now
i love it uh that's all i got but oh hey i mean shit i would love to meet some nice people that all
they think about is puppies and rainbows but i mean gamers from web 2 and reddit trust me guys they made
it over here to web 3 and you know it's guys like kyle guys like me who are in the discord protecting
the community from shit like that um web web 3 gaming like what what it is it's still gaming i mean
everybody who says it's blockchain this blockchain that nfts whatever you want to call it like we
call it digital collectibles now because reddit killed it so i'm going to just keep riding with
that but i mean what it really is you're it's still video games what we're doing is just using web 3
technology to make everything better if you hear people telling you otherwise talking about roi numbers
you're going to make this much money it's bullshit and don't listen to them you want to go to a game
that's fun that's doing something different that is going to make an impact and that's something
that's going to be around next year well you know i don't really do games i do art but the reason why
i went into web 3 versus web 2 which you could very easily do it very successfully do with art as well
was because there was just more of an international community and it seemed like community was more of
a thing and i really i really like community because when i was going through my cancer struggles i did
it all alone i didn't have family or friends around me and so the whole aspect of community
and forming a community and having a community there um even if it's not uh necessarily you know
the community is not for you per se like a like a cancer support group would be or you know like your
cancer support system would be but the community is still there for everybody and um that's what
really made me choose web 3 over web 2 when it came to art was the was the community aspect
i think people own what is theirs that they've been paying for and playing with making it fun
and to where they have a voice we take google documents to where every avenue of this game that's
been built out has been or has taken a uh suggestions from the community we put in voice lines in we get
them firsthand experience we use them as beta testers there's things that uh a lot of the big
studios just won't get their community involved a lot of them do not care about their voice that's
been the largest thing with us i guess you can tie that back to community we like to call it family
uh we're very tight with a very large amount of our community which is very large uh and just
continues to grow and just to let them be able to push this and how they think that it should be
uh of course you can't always make everybody happy we try to get a large majority you've always got
a few people that seem like they just wanted to uh i guess uh crash and burn sometimes uh so you got
to watch who you do let do that but at the same time get everybody involved hear their voice uh we have
characters that we're going to be building for people from our actual uh community there's gonna be
really cool things there's games gun skins they've actually created from their artwork uh just all
kinds of ways to get them involved and get the whole community involved to where it's very fun and
very active and do sponsorships and things like that to where you can give back and actually have
them come out and compete and make it really fun and possibly give out prizes and things like that
that is awesome um yeah i just want to share really quickly there's two main reasons why i
made a big transition and focus into web3 so um i've been super into blockchain technology since 2014
the fascination started with crypto and bitcoin um and it was just always super interesting to me
um however the two reasons that i got into web3 was number one i saw problems and a need
and that was for you know in my field of work communications and public relations um i saw
that there was a severe lack of people who understood web3 who understood nfts who understood you know
blockchain um professionally operating within the space so i came in to help people in that regard
and to you know talk about how we can apply public relations strategies um into web3 what they look like
in web3 how they might be different how they might be the same the other reason that i got into web3
is because of the monetization options that are now being made available to creators
so you know i had a lot of clients in the past that were artists some were major label artists some were
independent artists of varying degrees and a lot of them were just you know trying to get their career
off the ground and it was very unfortunate to see that a lot of these creatives were struggling
because if they weren't you know major um majorly popular um it was hard for them to monetize in web2
but in web3 what we have seen is an incredible effect of people being able to come in who who
build from the ground up and you know get in spaces talk about what they're doing and they're now able
to monetize their creative works whether it's art um you know or other forms of art like music
um photography so you know those two things were very important to me and i love what web3 is doing
and like everyone else has said it's it's kind of it's a community thing so yeah thank you yeah for
me uh web3 uh the reason why i joined in because i was pretty much into crypto and i saw that the
blockchain technology the smart contracts weren't being really completely utilized and automated with
automation tools so that's something that we did by building a platform as a service for uh you know
tokens uh to allow entrepreneurs to remove any middleman and i think that's the power of
blockchain is to reduce all of these human processes to automate and build trust around the blockchain
itself to execute a lot of these functions and we just want to also solve problems that we see in web3
like you know we we targeted scams for icos and ido by creating automatic lockers when people raise
money and then you know now we're seeing problems in nfts and i think reddit really killed it with
um the whole idea of avatars so now we're trying to build uh you know like a game that anyone can
bring their avatars and just brawl and have fun it's not really a money grab it's not like a p2e ecosystem
it's just building a really nice experience that people can play friends can play and enjoy and
it's for the web3 community well the other reason i got into uh web3 instead of web2 was that i started
in shitcoins and i will say dx sale um dx sale was the first ones to do what they did and even from the
early days at least that i know if they were the first ones to do what they did but even from the early
days uh you know they were the uh bsc the prime bsc launchpad and i'm the largest artist in bsc but
all my shit coins were on bsc too um and one of them was run through dx sale uh oddly enough but um
uh but yeah uh part of the reason was that i was in shit coins as well and um and you know that's a
whole different market yeah like i'll be perfectly honest we were the first and the reason why we built
it was because we've been rocked so many times and you know our goal was to have maybe one project a
month maybe two projects a month and we were very surprised at uh to what happened on bsc the amount
of people created all these meme coins shit coins and you know we we we were trying our best to try and
protect contributors but that's the thing about scammers you know they're always one step ahead trying to
explore the platform or try to take advantage of you know uh new users and that's what i worry about
nft space is it's so important for all these reddit people that are coming in and understanding twitter
and coming to crypto twitter and they just you know they they're very like susceptible to scams
so that's something that i think the web3 community needs to take ownership of and try to educate
people about all these scammers out there when i think part of scam prevention comes to doxing and
as much as people hate to hear it um i think we do need to demand a lot more projects be doxed
and a lot more people be doxed um with nf but with both nfts and shit coins um but i think doxing has a
lot to do with how we how we move forward i understand that some of the reasons why people don't dox but i
don't think that that uh supersedes the reasons to dox yeah yeah absolutely like for two years i was
in dox because i didn't see the value in it uh because i believed in good intentions but what i
realized is you do need to dox and i've doxed myself and i've started coming to conferences
and you know uh now i think it's very important to dox because the the market is so mature and people
need to be able to connect with you you know um and i think that's that's very important nowadays
so but but there's a lot of scammers that like we have we have this third uh party kyc
automation tool and even that is getting abused like people hire actors and stuff like that to try
to scam shitcoin projects so it's a very difficult thing to solve especially in a decentralized platform
such as ours yeah i mean thanks guys i kind of wanted to get to the next question which is
a little bit more controversial here which is kind of like back on the kind of more recent news around
spf and that kind of things i saw that ftx just put out a kind of a statement recently i'm gonna pin
it here one second they just put out a press release uh any thoughts on this from anyone
here whatever it is i don't believe it though that's my thoughts towards it all of this stuff
it's too big for all of us to really understand or like get all of the accurate information too many
powerful people and too much money is involved for the real truth to ever come out but one thing that i do
hope for is that all of the people out there get their money back i don't care what happens to all
those other people i want the normal individuals out there who tried to come into this space and left
their money in there because they didn't know better because they're not in one of our communities
people teaching them what to do those people need to get taken care of but all of all of this stuff
all of this statement i don't listen to the noise we're over here concentrating on building looking
at what's next for what we're doing i don't know i i buy the press release because now that i just
looked at it um off a cursory glance all it's saying is that they filed for bankruptcy and i
already know they filed for bankruptcy so um i don't really see that as uh anything that's um
controversial or uh or or really disputed um really all it is is saying they filed for bankruptcy
and we already knew that maybe maybe they're bankrupt but i don't i don't believe any of
the other stuff well here's the thing um i i want to talk a little bit about how this has affected the
nft community and the nft space it is such a damn shame that every time a shit coin or a crypto project
uh has a debacle like this you know it's it's then kind of it's bounced back onto the nft community
right and it destroys you know the innovation that is happening with blockchain technology with nfts
um and it associates it like links and associates the nft with with just you know scams and losing
money in crypto um and there's actually a gentleman by the name of hamilton chiang he's a south african
um cryptologist and uh computer programmer who he's actually been working on what's called a fiat
blockchain and the reason i'm bringing this up is because i i know that there's you know a lot of
different facts about the ftx situation but i know one thing was that they had essentially taken
tons of funds and put them into their own coin and then you know when binance found that out they
they took it all they took their holdings out and uh and it and it tanked it right and i think that it
is unfortunate that it's like you know for instance to purchase an nft we have to you know right now we're
still stuck in this process of like we either have to you know do this credit card thing in order to
use um other forms besides crypto that adds fees and stuff or we have to buy ethereum or you know
um we essentially have to buy crypto well um yeah i i think right now they're developing something
called a fiat blockchain um this gentleman hamilton chiang from south africa that's uh currently you
know he's the ceo of just wallet and i think that this is going to solve a problem for a lot of people
because we really do need to make sure that we're clarifying and separating these things that are
happening like in crypto these pump and dumps and things like that and and just kind of
really pushing that hey like what's going on in the nft community and what's going on with the
innovation and blockchain technology separate from this because it's going to be a damn shame if the
community suffers from you know the the mishapenings of what's going on in cryptocurrency specifically
and what happens there totally affects nft market more than more than it should and then people start
looking at nfts in a different way so it's really unfortunate i just wanted to comment on that because
it keeps me up at night it really it really keeps me up at night that something like this that
happens with a cryptocurrency uh company is affecting you know what the amazing things
that are happening in the nft community this has been happening for for years man like the and it's
important to make the distinction too that ftx is not a crypto company they're an unregulated bank that
was rehypothecating user funds it's beyond and antithetical to what cryptocurrency is um and it's it's
important that we make that distinction because the nuance is really really really important here
we as a like blockchain and cryptocurrency developers out here we have a very short window of opportunity
i believe to demonstrate that we can as actual crypto companies and actual uh projects you know
decentralized autonomous organizations nft communities etc have an opportunity to show that
it is different you know you have if you look back at celsius right they basically defaulted on all
their loans except which ones the decentralized lending platforms they have to pay those back in order to
get their collateral back right or the collateral just defaults and goes to the lender defi works
cefi is criminal bottom line i was gonna say too um for the ftx you know i i know it's
it's frustrating that this all affects nfts but there are nfts like stored on ftx like i bought a
coachella nft on ftx um and that you know like didn't affect me that much but you know it's still
like some people had their nfts on there so i don't know it's just anytime any major platform is
going through something like this it's impossible to not affect the nft community because we are
birthed from crypto like literally tied to the blockchain and until you know like i mean there's
no way that it that anything related to crypto is always gonna always gonna overflow you know and
it the crazy thing is is nfts hardly ever uh overflow into crypto which is you know interesting but
yeah i mean it's it's just impossible to avoid next question i had for everyone here and this
kind of on this topic is like is the term like nft like dead like uh like just is it going to become
a digital asset is it going to become just like something that's some you know artwork or whatever
but because of everything that's happened do we think like terms like crypto or like do we think
these kind of terms will go out of style and just be replaced with more mainstream terms like
i think this is a really important kind of pivot for the industry but just a question for everybody
yeah i don't really think that they will um i don't think they're going to go out of style i don't
think that the name is going to change but what i do think will happen particularly with nfts is that
they'll evolve so nfts will be an all-encompassing topic um that includes what we currently know as nfts
which is mainly like the art and the digital art and collectibles and uh even just the bullshit
that's hyped up um but you know just what we currently know of nfts um some of and so that
will be considered nfts but also all car titles all house deeds all uh you know all warranty registrations
for your tv your video game system all of that i truly believe is eventually going to be an nft
and so nfts are going to encompass way way more than they do now uh to the average person in the
future is what i believe and so i don't think the term is ever going to go away i think it's just going
to change what people think when they think of the term when they think of the term it's going to be so
much more generalized in the future in my opinion than it is now i'll take it a step further with that
just because i think that there is always evolution takes place um i think nfts are not going to go
away just like you were saying but i think we're going to start to see a uh an additional um nomenclature
depending on what the nft actually is and i don't know what that's going to be yet if it's going to be
an nfa for art or nfk for you know keys or whatever it may be um but trying to make it easier for people
to understand what they're talking about because right now an nft can be so many different things so
that discretion of all right i'm going to create an nft that's this or that it's a key or it's a piece
of art or it's a you know some type of token unlockable whatever it is i think we're going to
start to see some new nomenclature come out there so that people can differentiate between what these
nfts actually do well right yeah there's a lot of different use cases for it i mean nfts you could
they could be like the name is always going to change just like everything else out there
in three years i guarantee we'll have gone through 10 different names that catch on and then die down
but that technology being able to make it into loyalty programs being able to digitalize the
deed to property what we're doing over here with gaming who knows what's going to come out with
twitter i mean i guarantee you elon's going to do something that will shock us but you know
that that technology that shit's not going away and it's only going to get better
yeah um i i do want to say that uh you know currently right now we have different analysts
like looking at you know trends in the market and stuff like that and you know some of the intel that
we have is that people are um you know trying to make the shift away from using the word nft because
the connotation is associated with it and there is a trend and people starting to use digital asset
because of the connotations with you know nfts right that being said nfts i mean the science of
of what's going on here this is tokenomics right like the whole entire process of what an nft is is
a non-fungible token right so if you think about it it's almost like when you have two-factor
authentication that's you know device locked to a specific device you know you have a token right
so this is this is in tokenomics this is this is what the process is so like you know we can call
it a digital asset or whatever you know marketing centric word that we want to use in the future that
people are you know that's friendly to their ears and maybe there's nothing wrong with calling it
like oh you know saying digital asset because like we were talking about in one of the last spaces
what we're trying to do is we're trying to innovate in the community and you know if people have these
connotations with certain words we want to maybe not use those words but we we should all understand
that nfts a non-fungible token is the tokenomics behind what nfts are like an nft it's a proof of value
system it's a proof of authenticity system and it's all based on the non-fungibility of that token right
that is generated through the blockchain so i think it's important that we also clarify that because
you know the token the tokenomics behind it is literally what what makes the the proof of value
or the or the proof of authenticity or the proof of ownership
oh my god everybody that was an accident fucking twitter sorry okay i i understand you wanted me to
stop talking no i'm just kidding no i didn't you were on a really good tangent you were that was
really solid no no no i'm done i'm done i just you know because i i think that's another thing that
people say like oh like nft it's you know that word just means this or that and it's like no like
literally no token like the tokenomics is the science behind what is making these assets and what
is you know the proof of value proof proof of ownership and proof of authenticity and prominence
behind these assets so it's like no matter how people make us feel about the word nft we should
never forget that you know nft you know if we want to quote unquote say scientifically speaking is the
proper way to define it the the non-fungible token you know that is that is generated
what do you think nft stands for oh sorry right i was just gonna say the way i see it is like the way
internet you know it's naturally tcp ip right or ip6 and then you know that's just how technology this
is a this is a good sign that that the market is maturing actually you know when you look at website
people don't say hey this is react this is view this is next yes you know so i think this is a good
thing and i think we'll have different type of names based on what exactly the business model is
uh for these companies when it comes to nfts just because ashley's here i'll say that uh i think nft
stands for nice fucking titties let's fucking go
that's hype yeah so it sounds like to from the panel everyone thinks that nfts like the actual
assets of nfts are not dead but the term nfts may be in the future is that a good good summary
uh i would say i don't agree i i i don't i think it's hard to say i don't think the nft is dead
i think that right now we're seeing a downward um trend in in people moving or we're seeing a people
move away from that right so we're seeing that word being you know kind of like danced around and you
know digital asset um and and things like that um but i i don't i wouldn't say that nft is is well
is dead forever um i would say that it is it is going to probably take popularity again once you know
certain things blow over you know we just had a bear market and we're seeing some major um some
major crisis is happening in the in the blockchain crypto community with with different things across
the board but um i i don't think the nft is is dead i think that if it does die that's you know
that's an unfortunate byproduct of misunderstanding in the community so i i think it's just temporarily
you know taking taking uh less popularity because the connotations associated with it
and we saw the same thing in the ico era ico really lost its footing like there were so many
scams it was similar to nfts there were so many bad actors and just poor poor management of funds and
things like that that it really fell out of vogue and then it came back later as you know ieo ido
and a bunch of other things um but i think dx is right like it'll just be branded the way that it
needs to be branded for the use case so like if i'm going to a sporting event it'll just be a digital
ticket like it doesn't need to be no one cares that the underlying technology is nfts except us
because we're nerds but like the people using it don't and probably shouldn't exactly know exactly
what's happening right um and i think it also depends like what we do with it if we are the
last remaining soldiers on this field and we go forward and we do things that are meaningful then
we can revive the the sort of mentality around nfts the perspective people have on them if we keep
making shit and and rugging people then yeah it's always going to be that thing that people just
associate with scams yeah does it really matter though like if if nft is that because you're getting
a lot of adoption through other kind of names you know at the end of the day the underlying technology
is being heavily used it just has a different terms right i think as a community as a community
we're kind of shooting ourselves in the foot by not holding ourselves accountable and the prime
example of that would be zagabond and azuki just because there was a whole lot of money and for
literally no other reason just because there was a whole lot of money at stake we allowed a scammer to
get away with scamming multiple projects and you know some people are going to be pissed at me for
saying this but the moment that we let zagabond go and the moment we let him get away with his scams
uh was the moment that we lost a shit ton of credibility and unfortunately we as a community
need to pull together and get that back yeah and and i agree with what you guys just essentially said
and the points you brought up um you know even though talking about like is the term nft dead i don't
know if that necessarily matters i think what really matters is the question of you know what's going to drive
innovation with blockchain technology because and again i can't stress this enough everything has
to really be data driven and and the more data that we have is going to you know drive what what
we choose to do so if if we're seeing data in the market that says hey um people have a really bad
connotation with nft that it may be smart and it may be something that we have to do to shift away from
using that word so i don't think it's necessarily like a good or a bad thing whether we're using the
proper terminology as long as we're driving innovation and sustaining a technology that is
you know incredible across the board for and create for creators for consumers um so i think
really the bottom line is like whether or not you know what what what really matters is what's going
to drive innovation essentially okay and then here's kind of the next question everyone here is do you do
you consider any nft projects like mainstream right now and what i mean by that is like you know
thanksgiving's coming up you could be like hey have you guys heard about this nft project and everyone
in your family would be like oh yeah that's dope or like understand what that is like are are we at
that point yet or i don't know like kind of a question do we like maybe board api club but besides that
is there a clear kind of mainstream brand i think only board apes to be honest with you
well i think that's how it's how you manage the conversation at your thanksgiving table
because all you have to do is tell them starbucks and then they'll be like what and be like you know
your rewards points that you're earning yeah well there's nfts attached to that they're just not
calling them nfts so i mean i think it's just all in the in how we talk about it right
yeah 100 i mean nike uh prada uh they're they're all doing nfts and i i mean i don't think a lot
of people know but a lot of people know these brands that are they have nfts now like nike's
doing some stuff prada um i keep getting emailed by prada keeps sending me emails because i went to
nft nyc and they put me on the media list and now i just keep getting emails prada's doing they
just did like a time capsule thing and i had no idea that prada was doing nfts but you know i mean
i would say that you know most of the people in my family have heard of prada whether they wear it
or you know they buy it or whatever so maybe specific nfts like do you know what the nft is
behind prada maybe not but um nft specifically bored ape i think is like the most mainstream but
there's definitely brands like nike disney um disney i know they're doing some stuff it's not super
mainstream yet um but uh prada as well and i know some other designers uh our designer companies are
are doing that as well adidas is doing a lot too that's right that's right yeah you got all
kinds that's coming in through vv uh cartoon network you've got a lot of large brands that's
come through including disney themselves so if you there's a lot of uh contracts that's been signed
on the back end that most people never get to see google and apple's coming in there there's so many
people that's come in and continue to come in and other places some people notice it some don't
but that is an amazing way to get people on board and to get them to look at it at a different angle
uh something that they already use that most people don't call and never will call an nft
well kanye west wanted to build a whole nft theme park uh in his whole and in his whole city and he
wanted his city to actually be run by nfts and i only know this because i turned him down because he had
uh changed his mind too many fucking times but um he wanted he has a patent it's actually a patent
that's actually out you can look for it and find it um for an entire city that's run by like nfts and
an entire theme park and shit uh the only problem is that he can't commit to actually doing it and so
that's why i ended up turning him down after he turned me down like three or four times and then
came back again and his people were like oh well yeah he he's back again and he wants to do shit
and i'm like eventually i was just like fuck you i'm done that that dude's got some major issues
like what does it cost to have a whole theme park that's running nfts because like
that'd be a sick dour community run project right i could tell you my cost isn't cheap but that's why
it was coming to me um because uh you know i've built up a big enough uh name and a big enough
statistics to back that up that uh that i'm not cheap um but yeah i don't know what a whole theme
park would cost um but just the nft portion wouldn't have been cheap either nice well just to run
disneyland is five million dollars a day so i don't know the size of the theme park but i mean
you know disneyland alone is like five million dollars a day hard cost i know that are you guys
trying to figure out sorry just jumping are you guys trying to figure out how much it would cost
to have an nft theme park yep damn i mean that would be cool so i mean yeah interesting interesting
idea here um i think that's a great idea do you think that most tickets like to events
for example crypto events or just mainstream events will become nfts yeah i mean they definitely
will um i just wanted to jump in here and let everybody know that the ceo of mech.com just
jumped in here and i wanted to say what's up to trey smith what's up trey what's going on
this time i've heard so much about you brother awesome bro man yeah i was just jumping in real
quick actually finishing up we're getting ready for a huge launch here so i only have about
five ten minutes but uh yeah i just want to jump on and see what's going on you guys are talking
about some interesting stuff hell bro plug the launch i don't care yeah yeah so we sold like
god 10x how many nfts we sold this year during a bear market like 9 000 i think something like that
oh man we sold we sold 9 000 mechs and then you know another thousand pieces of land so we're doing
all right yeah yeah doing pretty good during a bear market and we decided to yeah to give back
so we're creating 10 000 free mechs playable mechs that you can use in the game battle other
people earning the game all that good stuff and that's happening probably i haven't announced the
date probably in the next three weeks is our is our goal there and the game's almost done so it'll be
out uh next month people will be able to play so yeah check out mech.com you can see what we got
going on actually i'll share something with you guys since there's a lot of you know nft creators and
stuff here we did some shit that worked out extremely well so i'll go ahead and tell you
guys what we did so we did like an old school refer a friend type thing so if you add three people to
our discord then uh you can get on the white list and then of course you can then get a free nft
potentially there's 10 000 of them so there's a lot to go around we had what do we have 22 000 people
in our discord last week and now we're at 57 000 10x is that right yeah just just over 50 i mean
so everybody's asking me did you guys bought it did you guys bought it i'm like we actually checked
the numbers 100 legit 100 and we tried a lot of different stuff so they're in a bear market we put
in 30 000 people in a week we're doing five to seven thousand a day and we haven't spent any money
so i'm actually the reason i have to go is i'm about to run some youtube ads to this and see if
that converts we do a lot of traditional marketing that's how we sold a lot of our nfts actually was
from youtube ads um so uh yeah so anyone who's kind of looking for a little secret sauce
spilling some secret marketing sauce right here all the marketers take notes youtube ads
yeah i just wanted to jump in real quick and uh give trey his flowers i mean also one thing
yeah i gotta say as well you guys are doing a great job uh you guys are really lucky to have
the person who's running mech i had the the opportunity to get on a zoom with him man you
guys have a gem on your team like someone who represents the project so well so you guys got
really lucky with him i'm trying to snipe him if i can like you guys got really really lucky with
him and he's uh doing some really great stuff in the space well and i can say from personal
experience i don't know how many other people here can say from personal experience it's probably a few
at least but not a whole lot uh that finding a game developer being able to actually develop a
game is extraordinarily difficult that's why like maybe one out of every 10 projects that promises
the game gets a game it's not because the devs are being shady or anything it's only because there's
so many fucking scammers in the game space and um it's just like it's just like the crypto space
and uh there's just so many people that'll give you either bullshit or nothing and uh and so the
fact that you are uh two weeks from your game is absolutely amazing because it's the first step uh
the first step you already beat which is finding a developer that can actually do shit yeah and you
know and that's that's that's an extremely difficult step you understand i'm sure you understand what i'm
talking about a lot of people may not but that's an extremely difficult step to be able to
find somebody who can do anything and yeah bring it actually to completion i mean so you know my
my co-founder at mech is a guy named nick rodinko um and fun fact he was the first developer i ever
hired to make a game in 2010 uh we ended up building a game business to 100 million downloads
then we started build box that was our second company together uh largest no-code game engine we
built that together me and him bootstrapped exited that in 2019 this is our third project
and yeah i'll be honest with you guys i wouldn't be able to do any of it you know that's why he's
co-founder i wouldn't be able to do anything without him he's he's an absolute genius as 10x can uh 1000%
confirm but yeah we got a team of 37 now and you know we've been doing it a while making games is hard
making games is extremely difficult and i'm not going to act like this first version is going to come
out and be perfect we're going to have bugs you know we're going to have issues to work out but
we will uh we'll deliver and we'll continue to to push it hard and make sure it happens
big w love to hear it uh yeah i've been speaking to uh the uh david who's over on the uh mech account
right now dude's so fucking chill he's awesome man yeah we got such a winner with with with david
man we got super super lucky you guys want to know the secret to getting david all day the secret to
getting david on your team is chicken fingers and french fries chicken fingers french fries that's
how you got them like that's where that's actually that's actually the same way to get jake on your
team too that is so true zach do you want to post a picture of me uh uh with the three vapes uh three
drinks and a cigar also i just wanted to say now that we've got everyone in here and mac is about to
launch this uh we just pinned the mech uh announcement of the spaces if everyone just
wants to give that a quick like or resuite just want to get the word out uh super excited about
this launch guys i mean sounds like you guys have been working on a long time what what console is
it like what is it coming out on pc i'm still learning about here's the interesting thing here's
what we did with that i'm gonna have to go real quick after this kyle our ceo and uh you know the
main man behind the scenes at mex on here too but um but here's the interesting thing so we looked at
everything we've again the 100 million downloads we got the previous game business was all ios and
apple you know i live in silicon valley i've been down with the apple you know the cool infinite or
the loop thing a million times i love apple they're they're great company i'm using apple products
right now but they want to get their portion of the pie uh you know 30 it's a large take can you
imagine if stripe took 30 of every transaction or anyone out there in the world had the balls to do
that i mean that's it's really phenomenal they pulled it off but with the blockchain that's going
to be tough so what we decided to do is create our own engine again like we did with buildbox and this
one's html5 so um i'm actually working on so you guys will be able to see videos in this actually
you you posted one david on our on our page so you guys can see it um that's all in a web browser
so since we started with html5 we can export to anything we can put it on steam we can put it on
ios we can put it on android but we want to make sure we're completely wide so we don't have to
deal with any of the bureaucracy any of the bullshit so html5 first mobile and pc and then we'll look
and see if uh if apple and everyone will be cool then we'll put it on the platforms
that's that's actually really awesome um and i i also just wanted to say thank you guys so much
for sharing like you know this is really motivational not just for me but you know
everyone else that's in the room like everything that you guys have done um and the success you guys
have had you know it's it's awesome to hear about stories and see stuff like this because
you know it just kind of serves as an inspiration and kind of like a guide as to you know what people
are trying to achieve so i just i just wanted to say like what you guys are doing is really awesome
awesome brother really appreciate it i'll let you guys take it from here and i appreciate you
guys let me jump on we'll catch up with you later pleasure yo whenever you're inside miami we're
getting drinks brother you got it man peace out guys here you have followed trey thanks for coming in
cheers he died a little bit there zach did uh real quick uh i do want to just uh kind of show my own
brand i gotta do it um don't hate me uh as you can see i am on the cosmic wire twitter but i'm actually
the cmo of genzio over there if you want the absolute best marketing in the world just go uh
message genzio we've definitely got your back um yeah and uh the only other oh go ahead oh the only
go ahead jake i was gonna say also nikki uh had a hell of a topic that uh uh he put inside of our
group chat that was really cool if you want to go ahead and say your thing first zach but i just
think this would be a really good topic for us to discuss on yeah definitely the only thing i was
going to add to that is that we're also partnered with the central con so we're going to be giving
away uh tickets to that event it's in miami this year it's during our basel so i don't know if anyone
here is going to be in miami we pins we pinned the um the post it was covered in vice last year
super cool event if you want a ticket to that event uh just go ahead and like comment on this
space or or dm us we're going to be giving out some free tickets to that as well uh so yeah that's
all i had to say jake uh yeah go ahead dope all right nikki do you want to announce uh the rolex
thing yeah it's interesting um just going back to like the topic of brands uh getting into the space
now most of the brands that we've talked about here they're they've entered the space in like a
really relatively holistic way like i mean nike went full force and just bought a huge nft company
but um interestingly i just got sent an email or an article rolex has filed a trademark for nfts
uh for their nft brand essentially i was just reading through the filings to try to understand a
little bit better it's extremely broad like they're basically of course registering the rolex name
rolex nft or whatever but it's like it applies to fucking everything wallets blockchains including
like layer ones layer twos nfts marketplaces like it's literally across everything so it's not clear
exactly what their entry is going to be um but they're clearly clearly thinking about it and i guess
the question that i have around this is like what do we think about more trademarks and patents being
filed in crypto it's been kind of a an anti-crypto thing to have a patent um i do have one on what
we do but we don't license it that way we don't like go after people big brands like this though like
microsoft apple etc they will go after companies small projects big whatever wherever they can find
excess cash um in order to you know stifle innovation what do you guys think um and where do you think
rolex might take this i mean i just think it is what it is um but uh i also enjoy a good fight
so i'm the type of person i currently have a restraining order and a lawsuit against me from
uh uh uh actual um thieving pr firm not not gen zio gen zio is cool but um there's a pr firm called
luna pr um that stole over a hundred thousand dollars from me and uh my actual and this is why
it's important to go with a legitimate firm like gen zio or because and particularly if you're in the
u.s um because they're over in dubai and they're basing the facts that they're in dubai on the fact
that i won't retaliate uh well i did retaliate and they filed a restraining order and lawsuit against
me that's not going to actually go through um but um i think it's very important that we uh that
the names um that the names uh are there but i also don't really too much worry about the big
corporations because they usually don't go after people who don't uh make a whole lot of money
so if you're making a ton of money and you're making it based off of the actual trademark usage
um and usage of someone else's trademark then i think that maybe you should uh come to some terms
and you got to also realize that 99 of these lawsuits settle out of court so it ends up working
out as a matter of you know like they come to terms and they settle for much less so you know rolex
may sue somebody for using a rolex in their in their nft collection but they're not going to go
after the small guy they're only going to go after the big guy um or the medium guy they're only going
to go after the guy that's made millions of dollars off of their nft artwork and so uh when they do that
um what ends up happening is the lawyers get together and they end up reaching an agreement
that is typically a whole lot more favorable um than like these big giant things that you see on jury
trials on the news and so the whole legal system is very misunderstood at least in the u.s where rolex
is located you know actually rolex isn't located in the u.s um but most of the people i think that are
are making nfts using the rolex brand that rolex would go after are in the u.s because the u.s just has
such strong laws that like um you know people and someone in nigeria that uh that uses the rolex
brand um they may not necessarily go after it because they may not trust the courts in nigeria as
much um so they may not go after them so much as like somebody in the u.s um or uk or um or you know
a whole bunch there's a whole bunch of other places um but they they they corporations don't
go after the small guy generally it's it's actually pretty rare that that happens um at least uh at least
from what i've seen so i think it's only really going to be the people that are making the big money
and if they're making the big money based off of that trademark then you know that is something that
should probably be discussed in the courts and we should get precedent we deserve precedent as a
community we deserve precedent not having precedent keeps people away from the market it keeps uh
venture capitalists away from the market keeps all this institutional money away from the nft market
not having those protections so the sooner we get those and the sooner we get that precedent
in my opinion the better awesome thank you go ahead and i just want to add two i just want to add
two things on that thank you thank you so much jenzio um one i think that yeah rolex is going to be
doing you know possibly uh you know metaverse wearables um as well as nfts and i think there's
a distinction that needs to be made between with the ip right so if we're talking about like art that
incorporates the rolex into it and it's like an artistic statement that should be protected
um if it's a parody it should be protected but if someone is going out and creating like oh buy
a rolex to wear in this metaverse that's almost like kind of like a knockoff like counterfeit thing
because we have to start thinking about the metaverse like the real world so that's something that
should be you know gone after but i also wanted to shift away from that and talk about your situation
um nft demon after this space let's chat because one thing that me and my partner have been doing
is actively going after scammers you know if any scammers hear this like we will find out about what
you're doing we will publicize it one thing we're doing is putting out press articles about scammers
and the whole entire i'll be uh joining you on that for sure i have a similar story thank you
anybody thank you and anybody let's do it anybody that's here that has been scammed it doesn't matter
if it's for you know a hundred dollars or a thousand but if you if you're a creator or someone
that has been scammed by an agency please dm me this is devin leo speaking please dm me because we're
trying to put together all of those people and right now we're going after uh one company called
paramore that um has scammed over a million dollars this year another uh individual if you've
ever heard the names chubbs wilson um he's allegedly scammed a bunch of people that have come forward
to us and he scammed a business partner of mine so it's something that we're actively going after
anybody here that has been scammed please dm me my dms are open we are taking these people down
dude is there any way that we can help out with that oh sorry i was gonna say is there any way we
can help out with that i love that a really big issue that uh we well every space both web 2 and web 3
is scammers and just the idea of like combating that sounds great yeah i completely agree and i
the only thing i want to say is hey unblock just saw that you joined and i saw that you create nft
experiences for billboard pepsi intel so you might have some experience with these big brands like what
is pepsi doing it with web 3 just to kind of relate to the brands it's kind of interesting
hey thanks for bringing me up my name is kibbe i'm the community manager for unblocked um and yeah
we do work with a lot of our partners um we did an activation with pepsi and billboard um during the
bbmas last year so it was just an activation that served as like a commemorative nft so people were
able to claim during the actual live show um pepsi does have their own project on eath i think it's
like the mic drops um we have no affiliation with that project so that would have to be a question
directly for uh pepsi in terms of that nft as far as devon goes though i will say that like zach xbt
who i'm pretty sure most of us in here know who he is is like the only watchdogs that people know
about so we need more watchdogs in this industry and i'm very glad that you're doing that absolutely
thank you dope yeah we love that i mean we created genzio because a lot of people were just getting
scammed and we wanted to create an agency you know by creators so like i've been in this space for like
you know 10 years and i love web 3 i do this because i care about the space and so yeah we want to make
make the space better uh by making it more trusted and not having scammy marketers out there
taking advantage of people um that's also why people don't like nfts too so yeah completely agree
with all of you um i do got it going a little bit but i wanted to kind of get to a couple more
questions before then um big question for everybody do you think that kind of like the market right now
the actual crypto prices is going to affect adoption of this technology
technology in the short term uh and in the long term because i mean i know like everyone still
wants to play video games so my assumption is like no because like for me i'm still going to play video
games no matter if bitcoin's at 15k 100k whatever i'm still going to want to play awesome games like
undead blocks or you know mac or any of these awesome games that are coming out in web 3 um but i don't
know from your perspective and what you're seeing has the market affected adoption i would say short
term yes long term no i mean it all depends on the perspective you look at it from uh like us here
at mech uh it's crazy but we actually picked up the pace during the bear market when everything all
went to hell back in august and september that's actually when we had our biggest months for the sales
so i mean it all depends on your team how you look at it and how you go about doing it like it's all
about execution as long as you've got you guys have your strategy know your customer base know
exactly how you're going to execute and kill it i mean it market don't matter as long as we're not at
zero there's there's ways to get it in but it doesn't matter when people are losing billions of
dollars on ftx that they can't spend on nfts you know that does make a short-term difference and
that's what i meant more yeah yeah i mean that's a great point but video games like honestly gaming
is different like we are pfps we're all nfts and everything like that but when it comes to gaming
we've got a different base a different type of community out there and as long as they like what
we're doing you know they are looking at it gamers are looking at at this like yeah i want to spend
money i want to play games new technology is awesome we love it but you just got to explain it to us
and make sure that it's worth it i'll jump in real quick and just say if we're talking about purely
just from an adoption standpoint uh and of course short term yes but i think what will be felt will
be so much more different than the previous bear markets just because the the amount of new uh just
new new new footpaths being walked across in web3 i would say just it won't feel like it like it did
before and we don't really know what it would have felt like if this hadn't happened so this has just
become the new normal but given the fact that we're talking about just from an adoption standpoint
i don't think it's going to feel that different i think it's going to feel like how it feels right
now for the next two to three years uh it's going to feel like this this point where we have these
little peaks and little valleys i don't think we're going to have another moment where we're going to
be printing out money again from the government where we're just going to have a lot of you know
shit coin and mean coins going crazy until something just major in the market happens again like
another major game stop moment where people just have massive liquidity that shouldn't but that's
my hot take never fear the japanese have said they're going to turn the printers back on
silence and nothing but wow emojis
true uh they will probably turn them back on before we can all get it to where they can't turn them back
on uh i also just need elon to let us know when he's going to join a twitter space so i can
buy a thousand dollars worth of doge again thanks dude he joined that twitter space oh did anyone else
do that because i did it i was in the spaces as soon as he came up i'm like all right i gotta buy
something seriously i think i think it's just the new meta is wait until elon joins the twitter space
and just be ready to deploy capital it is bro that is like the quickest way to make money now
that that's 100 the top dj in play right now for crypto twitter there really is not too many other
ones right those guys are doing the same thing as us they're like hey guys um we all got billions
how are we going to fix this crypto market let's bring in the bull and you know elon elon's the best
one to do it straight facts uh did you i think you had one more question right zach like i know you
got a option yeah for sure so okay so last question for everybody is everybody here coming to
our basel and like who's down to like party or potentially smoke weed with us when we're there
well i mean i'm on the official company account so like you know i cannot partake in anything that
is illegal and against the laws of these these great united states over here but you know i live
in miami i love to have fun guys definitely hit me it's it's legal medically as long as you say
you're medically able then then you know then it's all good it's also decriminalized even for it's
also decriminalized in miami even for uh personal i believe um and i bring a bunch of weed every time
i go and i will be at our basel so i'll have a bunch of weed to join and smoke with y'all um but it is
actually decriminalized uh for personal amounts in miami as far as i last checked which which means
you can get a ticket but you can't go to jail i was pretty much open smoking the entire time i was
down there uh zero problem just everywhere i was just just openly smoking a blunt everywhere i walked
and i didn't really have any issues you know even the cops don't care every time i've been in miami
and it's been a ton of times because miami is a crypto hub every time i've been in miami like as
long as you're not like blowing it in the cop's face or being like a dumb ass about it the cops
don't care you know like if you happen to go around the corner and you're smoking a joint and
there's a cop around the corner they're not going to say or care or do anything in my opinion from
miami and that's that's what i've found because that's happened multiple times i've crossed the
corner because the hyatt regency there's like this corner from the hyatt regency um and you're going
to find this out at decentral if you go there's this corner at the hyatt regency and
you pass the corner and then you're in this big open space that goes to the convention center
and sometimes there's a cop you know right on that corner but they've never cared about me smoking weed
i've smoked weed pretty much every time i've crossed that corner and i've crossed probably a good dozen
cops around that corner and they've never cared as long as you're not being a dick about it and like
blowing it in their face or being like hey i got a big joint right here and you know showing it to
them then they don't care you know if they smell it they don't care if if you're showing it to them
it's a different story oh my god all right well thank you everyone for being on this space please
