It's time to take it to a small potential, keep this, and drop some game on the instrument
and it's essential that you listen close and run and tell your folks that the love is spoken.
First things first, it's your day to birth, you've been kinda confused about what your life is worth.
50 million times your weight and goal, you gotta take control cause moves don't need to be on.
You can do anything that you wanna do. All you gotta do is put your brain into it.
Take your time and educate your mind, in the long run I'm sure you'll find that if you walk the walk you can talk and talk
but don't wait too long cause life is short and remember, no matter what they're telling you, if you try, you can be a winner too.
Keep on pushing, moving on up, everybody we're moving on up.
Moving on up, you're a winner, gotta keep pushing.
Moving on up, everybody we're moving on up.
Moving on up, you're a winner.
It's the world, you can think about it, get in touch, I'm gonna give it up.
Now let's start when the time is nothin'.
How so many years can we graduate from colleges?
Better to be silent than we thought before, you bitches.
Speaking we move on now, know what I'm talking about.
When the opportunity knocks, you better let them in and sit them on down and keep trying to be a straightie.
In order to be a veteran, you gotta be a beginner.
But if you keep on pushing, you can be a winner.
Don't push it, moving on up, everybody we're moving on up.
Moving on up, you're a winner, gotta keep pushing.
Moving on up, everybody we're moving on up.
Moving on up, you're a winner.
Red color, black, white or brown.
Everybody mindin' please, we can all get down.
It all starts in the office, one stay on, they're gone, they're one stay on, they're all you gotta leave alone.
Be a leader, but if you can't be a leader, make sure you're leader is a damn good teacher.
Imagine the true of the current life of somebody else.
GM, GM, everybody, what an amazing day.
It's so hyped, I can wait.
We still have two more minutes of intro, so drop a GM in the comments.
Drop a serum city banners that you created in the discord in the comments, retweet the space.
And now guys, I wanna see the hundreds for the red hat.
Let's fucking go everybody!
We always called each other good fellas.
Like you say to somebody, you're gonna like this guy, he's alright.
He's a good fella, he's one of us.
Red, red, rain check, some of us made the 8th best, yep.
What the next drop is all that's on my mind.
Being blind, fuck all that and all time high.
They wishin' that I sell, but they ain't gonna make me.
Favorite quarter, baby, yo, the fuck you gave me a heart.
Word soft, feel like I'm tryin' to turn a clock.
Send the world a ride, send it to the room, wow.
Shout out to the merch mob, my coons and goblins.
Rip, we did it, now let's keep it poppin'.
I don't mind if I don't find the right fit.
Way to mean it, and then I buy the dip.
It's the wild west down here, so who better?
Get some wise guys and a bunch of good fellas.
Let's toast to the good life, tryin' to get my whole ride.
Just gettin' started, we all about the good times.
It's a whole vibe, it's a way of life.
We all gonna make it, we gon' be all right.
Let's toast to the good life, tryin' to get my whole ride.
Just gettin' started, we all about the good times.
It's a whole vibe, it's a way of life.
We all gonna make it, we gon' be all right.
I've been gone for too long, fresh out the new life.
Started at the bottom, now we party on the rooftop.
Got you on the check, new cartel, it's the squad I wrapped up.
You know who I got, B-M-A-Y-C.
On the other side, you know where to find me.
Sippin' on the serum, get me feelin' kinda cry me.
You know you'll never find another motherfucker like me.
I wish we could go back to Slope James and throw backs.
Everything was dope back then, no cap.
Now's no backup plan, just no debt.
Everything I do is playin' down.
Hell yeah, forever grateful guys, this is Grateful Show 241.
G-M-G-M everybody, I hope you are having an amazing day.
I see that claim is live, so I believe that Mutant Cartel Farm has having a blast today.
And yeah, I wanna circle around, say hi to our guests, but before I do that, I will start with my co-host today.
How you guys doin'?
Peace and you know, what's good today?
It's the end of the fall, pointing down to Serum City Billboard.
And I came there, you know, doing headshots and stuff.
Man, I love that.
So Kenway, we're also talking to a faraway team today.
Dino, what's good, man?
I'm doing really, really well because today is insane.
Because mutants are insane, because mutant house are insane, because Serum City is insane.
And I'm super excited because the show with the mutant cartel family is always amazing and I can't wait for this.
So let's fucking go.
Let's fucking go, man.
And we actually were together in that amazing place in London before mutant house were released.
So we have amazing time to be part of the cartel.
But let's fucking go, guys.
Let's invite our guests on stage and I think there's no other way than this.
Let's go.
Let's fucking go.
Let's go, everybody.
Welcome to the Grateful Show.
I will circle around, say hi to everyone here on stage, and I will start with Lip.
Lip, how are you doing today?
How is your day?
I have to go first.
Well, I'm good.
Because you are the first in line in my screen, you know?
So I was like, let's go.
Fair enough.
Fair enough.
I deserve it.
It's great.
Well, thank you for having us.
This has been a long time coming, not only for the cartel here and novel, but more importantly,
for far away.
They have been doing the Lord's work, metaphorically speaking, for this game that I know Nixos
has been grinding more than me, but I certainly tried my best as well.
So this is good.
It's going to learn many things today.
So I hope.
Guys, we're going to learn amazing alpha.
Redhead was like, I don't know if he should say it, but yeah, that's a teaser.
Stay tuned.
Stay tuned.
It's going to be wild today.
So thank you so much, Lip, for sharing.
Let's go with one guard.
How are you doing today?
GM, what is good, everybody?
And let me tell you this.
First and foremost, no one.
And I mean, no one brings the energy in this space.
Quite like Grateful Ape, Beast, and Tino.
I mean, let me just first and foremost put that out there.
But look, it's an amazing honor to have you all have us on here today.
Greatly appreciate the vibes coming.
We're super excited as well.
And let's get this sucker kicked off.
Let's go, man.
I'm so hyped.
Oh, my God.
It's a website a few times today.
And I also saw Nana that he already claimed it.
He got it.
He got the pass.
And he would probably first to visit the city on 1st of February.
So congrats, guys.
Everyone who was able to claim.
And yeah, Redhead.
What's up, man?
Absolutely love the songs, man.
Oh, my God.
The good for us.
That's a banger.
GM GM off.
Thanks for having us, man.
I'm stoked.
I'm so hyped to be on the show with you guys.
I miss you guys.
You know, obviously we go back and it is fantastic to be here.
My hats off to you guys for always hosting an amazing space.
And I'm just grateful to be up here with my family.
Also grateful to host you guys today because it's really special.
I've been waiting for Serum City for for some time.
I talked to a few members that they've been like a better testers.
They already played it and they've all so hyped.
So can't wait to learn more.
It's got to be epic.
How are you doing today?
Hey, guys.
Thrilled to be here.
Love the vibe.
Love that.
We all got some claps going at the same time on beat these last couple of spaces.
I've been going to have started with some awesome like Red Hat music.
And I've been trying to like clap on beat and it's been a lot of fun.
But it's definitely tricky to do.
So it looks like we all aligned for a bit.
But yeah, it's it's been a wonderful day.
We're so excited to have launched pass claim for Serum City.
The reception has been incredible.
It looks like it's been a smooth, easy process for most people.
So that's great to see on our end.
Catching up with everything and making sure we're all smooth sailing for the week
and for the launch of Serum City.
Let's go.
Love to hear that.
And I also saw in your timeline that you just got a mutant.
It's a beautiful pink mutant.
So congrats.
I'm one of the one of the gang now.
It's technically on loan from the boss, the big bosses.
But I have the honor of repping it as my own personal for now.
So I told the big bosses that far away that I would give it back.
But we'll see.
Sometimes the wallet things happen.
Sometimes you accidentally lose your secret phrase.
Sometimes you lose your key.
I don't know.
Whatever, man.
Don't worry about it.
Was it during the boat accident, right?
Or something happened in the wallet that was controlled by someone else?
I don't know how are these things happening in this space.
But you know, always something happens.
So yeah, who knows?
Love the mutant.
Congrats and super happy to have you here today.
Love that mutant.
Oh my god, such a beautiful mutant.
You know, I have a weakness for pink mutants and aquamarine background.
But yeah, that's another story I see lost in the audience.
So I have a weakness for orange background and of course, the green today also.
So yeah, I have to agree.
It's a beautiful mutant, Grace.
Yeah, I think I got a swap over to the to the serum city background.
So I'll rock the orange just for a little bit.
And then I got to let the true colors shine through.
You know, that serum green baby.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Love that, Grace.
Alex, what's up?
How are you doing today?
What's up, guys?
How's it going?
Pass claim seems smooth.
So just I finally minted my own pass right now.
So I'm excited.
That's amazing to hear.
That's amazing to hear.
I'll be claiming tomorrow.
So really, really exciting for that for that experience.
And we definitely learn more today how the claim works and how to stay safe at
So thank you so much for joining, Alex.
And the last one on stage or not two more people on stage.
That is how you do in today.
GM everybody super pumped, loving the energy.
It's a huge week for us with the pass claim starting and the game launching.
So just super excited all around.
Love to hear that.
It's always exciting.
And, you know, I've been playing your games, guys, and I absolutely love it.
I'm in other space clan in a mini Royale and it's so much fun.
I have my 3D avatar there.
I've been selling my avatars.
I've been buying other people's avatars.
So that's so much fun.
Can't wait to play Serum City 2.
And the last person on stage, Nick Saros, how is it going for you today?
GM, I'm doing well.
Thanks for saving the best for last, you know.
Super excited for Serum City.
It's felt like both, you know, forever since we started building this thing
and only a few days ago that it kicked off.
So so excited for it to be out in the world for people to be playing it,
hearing what you guys think.
Just really looking forward to it.
And thanks to you guys as always for having us.
It's always a blast.
You're in the grateful show.
Let's go.
Guys, if you have any questions, drop them into the comments.
I will go through them and ask the team.
We are hosting teams from Novel Labs and Fireway.
So it's going to be epic discussion.
And you just mentioned that you've been building the game for some time.
When actually did you start working on Serum City?
Dennis, when did we actually start?
We were we were definitely planning it out for, I think,
probably two months.
But I think maybe we got much deeper into full dev,
maybe around like the March, April time period.
Dennis, correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah, I think it was right around then.
It just it's been it's been a blur kind of this entire time.
So it seems like pretty distant past at this point,
but even though it wasn't, it actually wasn't that long ago.
Yeah, it's been almost a year then.
And, you know, in web three times flies quickly.
And I remember back in the day, like everyone was like,
oh, we're going to have a game and it's going to be releasing next month, right?
And good games, they take time.
And I saw the gameplay from the videos and it looked really, really dope.
And when I talked to Dr. Dave Cohen, you know,
he's like a huge member in the cartel.
He was like, you need to ask about the gameplay.
So everyone understand what the game is about, you know,
how they can play.
So before we get into the claim,
I would love to learn a little bit more,
what like inspired you to create the serum city game.
And what is the gameplay about?
And whoever, whoever want to take it, guys,
there are plenty of you on stage.
Dennis, do you want it?
Grace, do you want it?
Your call here.
Go for it.
And I think we'll jump in.
Cool. Yeah.
So serum city, I would call it like a narrative driven city builder.
So, I mean, obviously the mutant cartel has like all of his amazing lore,
all these amazing characters.
We knew that if we wanted to make a city builder or strategy game,
which is sort of what you would do as a beginning member of a cartel,
you would make things, sell things to other people, rise up the ranks.
We thought a city builder was a good fit for that story.
And obviously like when you're making a city builder,
we thought weaving these narrative elements into it with like these cool
quests, these cool little cut scenes.
That's why we call it more of a narrative driven city builder,
because it, you know, it feels like a city builder,
has like some of those like sim city clash of clans, township elements.
But at the same time,
like I think it does like justice or at least I hope it does justice
to all of the mutant cartel lore that is like so, you know,
so cool and so important.
So yeah, that's why we sort of just call it like a narrative driven city builder.
I love that.
When you, when you mentioned mutant cartel lore,
we talk about the first event that we visited in London and you could
see the storytelling everywhere on the walls in the club.
There was like a little theater there, you know, with a short movie.
How actually, how actually the laws,
law works in the serum city with mutant cartel,
how it expands the mutant cartels storytelling in the game.
Sure. I'll hop into this, Alex, if you don't mind.
Yeah, go for it.
For free to add on, but at least from a little novel perspective,
like the way we look at it is this way, essentially like, you know,
think of serum city as like a microcosm, you know,
for the mutant cartel or in general, right?
So you think of it this way,
like what does it mean to be a Cartelian, right?
If you ask yourself or anyone that's a part of our community part,
you know, have in our collections here, it's like, you know,
you're a little gritty, you know, you're a bit of a badass, you know,
on the inside, you know, at the same time, like you're always loyal,
you know, to your cause.
And you understand that there's strength in numbers and you know,
we're stronger together.
Something we've always said since the inception, you know,
and as you enter serum city, basically you enter into the cartels world,
right? You find your way, you know, into our ambiance, into our locale.
Of course, you get the opportunity to meet our characters, you know,
dive deep into that narrative driven story, you know,
as you rise through the ranks.
And essentially the best part about it is while doing that,
why not have some fun and also compete for some epic prizes,
you know, alongside of your contemporaries.
Yeah, I think that's an amazing part.
The gaming is so popular.
And when you look at the numbers, right,
like gaming is so much bigger than movies and music combined.
So I think the opportunity for building IP in games is so huge.
And that's why I'm so pumped for serum city and mini royale that,
you know, I don't know, maybe that's another question.
Will we be able to use our own assets in the game,
like we can in a mini royale?
You mean see your avatars walking around?
Yeah, our avatars or any other stuff that, you know,
I know Rita is doing an amazing job with creating 3D avatars for us
that we can sell actually in the store.
So will there be something like that in a serum city?
Like you won't be able to control them,
but they definitely will be walking around your city.
And not just your avatars, but other,
like let's call them like neighbors avatars.
Grace, I wish we had this video already.
But we do have the video.
I just don't know if it's tweet ready yet,
but we actually have a really cool video that actually shows one of your,
one of your apes going from like mini royale to Dookie dash to serum city.
And it's a pretty awesome experience.
But yeah, like we obviously believe in like interoperable content,
whether that's purely visual or purely like economic.
But, you know, regardless, our goal is that like all of the games
and games in general should prioritize interoperability.
So you think it's just such a cool experience
and just so important for players to be able to take their assets
or identity from one game to another.
Love that.
It's so cool to see apes of our friends in the games.
Absolutely love that.
Whether it's mini royale or nifty island or any other game.
So that's got to be epic.
I also would love to...
Oh, sorry, Alex.
Did you want to add something or?
Oh, okay.
I also wanted to ask how can people join the game right now
because there is a claim going on.
I know that today it's for old holders.
How it is going to work and how can people join the game
and when you actually launch the game that we can play?
I'll as well hop into this one if you don't mind, too.
And grateful, you know, being your show, if you wouldn't mind,
I'd love to be able to share some tweets to the top of the space.
And by all means, feel free to tailor it.
Go for it.
Go for it, man.
But just to kick everyone off here,
everyone that owns what's called the Mutant Cartel Oath,
it's the first NFT in our collection, essentially.
Anyone who holds one right now has the opportunity
to visit the official past claim website
and we'll share it up here to the top.
And by doing so, you will get the opportunity
to connect your wallet
and be able to mint one Serum City Pass
that will allow you to play the game coming up
on February the 1st.
So share it to the top of the space here just in a moment.
You'll see the official link for anyone
that is a Mutant Cartel Oath holder.
And just so we're all aware, because safety and security
is of top importance, you know, to Novel Labs
and to Faraway, of course.
Warm Wallet is functional for these mints here.
So you simply just visit warm.xyz
and set it up if you do not already have a cold wallet
linked to a Warm Wallet.
If you do, just use the one you already have linked
to make sure your oaths are there.
But hold on one second, everyone.
And I know we're getting a little ahead of ourselves,
but today is for oaths, and that claim is indefinitely open.
So right now, you know, one of the things people talk about,
gas is moving up a little bit.
Whether the Novel Labs is responsible
for bringing a little bit of a bull back today,
you know, we'll leave that conversation for later.
But right now, gas prices are a little high,
but you're in no rush to claim.
So feel free to take your time.
But tomorrow opens up for our Mutant Hound holders.
So the same thing.
It'll be the same pass claim length.
You'll just be eligible beginning tomorrow.
And then, but wait, there's more.
This infomercial will provide it more for you here,
is that all of our Mutant Ape holders
and Board Ape holders will be able to claim
on February the 1st as well.
So two short days from now.
So hang tight for that.
And each of these waves will have Warm Wallet
functional for it.
So you are ready to go.
And of course, last but not least,
February 1st is that public launch,
when you'll be able to then connect your passes
that you hold to the official game site
and hop right in to Serum City.
Is, for example, my Mutant tied into the ticket.
So it's something like a Dookie Dash
whenever I meant from like BAYC Mutant or Hound.
So the ticket actually represent the Hound.
Or Mutant or whatever.
Yeah, so essentially, in this instance here,
each token that's eligible to claim a pass,
you will only be able to claim one pass by said token.
So for example, each oath has its individual ID,
same for Hound, same for Mutant,
and same for Board Ape.
And there is a token tracker
that is available on the official claim site
that will allow you to determine
whether or not a eligible NFT has claimed their pass already.
So again, if you're, you know,
first time to hearing about Serum City,
for example, for today,
and you are interested in getting one of the eligible NFTs
that allows you to mint the pass
and you're considering it for that,
please use the token tracker first.
And again, that token tracker is right there
on the pass claim link as well,
just so we're all kind of aware of the process as well.
And as always, everyone to swing by and ask us, you know,
at any point, whether you're on the space today,
swing by our Discord,
you can find the official Mutant Cartel Discord join link
in my bio here.
And don't hesitate, you know,
there's no question at all that's, you know,
offline or out of line here.
So we're here to help always.
What's happened if I have like many, many,
not like the whales, you know,
I know there are many people that have like 100 apes
and they're going to probably get like 100 passes.
But let's say you have four hounds,
you get four tickets or four passes.
Can you use all of them in the game or you can keep only,
or no, you can, but you can play only with one
and you know what you're going to do with the rest.
How that's going to work?
Oh, guys, I don't know if anyone wants to take it.
Dennis, do you want to take it?
Sure. Yeah.
So right now it's, you could play with one pass at a time,
but there is this external access key functionality
that we built where you can, you know,
in your pass manager,
you could go ahead and generate keys for others to play for you.
Or, you know, if you want to share access,
so somebody won't even really need a wallet,
they will just be able to use these access keys to play.
So we do think that that's also something
that we will see emerge is that, you know,
people are not only going to be playing on their own pass,
but there will be, you know, groups of people
that are playing where, you know,
because obviously not everyone's going to be able to own a pass.
So that would be a way for others to get in
and a way for people with many passes to spread the love
and get others into the game.
Because there's this big, you know, crafting
and trading meta game that's on top of the base building itself,
you know, the more things you craft
and the more passes you have active,
the more you'll be able to move up these leaderboards.
I really like this.
Did we mention that these people that are playing
on these external access keys don't need a wallet at all?
And that's like an important point.
Like they just play with the key.
They don't need to have any sort of wallet extension installed.
So this is like our way to open up the play
to like the more traditional gamer group,
even during these initial, you know,
I'd say like a starter season one and season two times.
This is amazing, guys,
because like I really believe that it's a great opportunity
to like invite also other people that they might not have
a hound or oath or mutant or an ape, right?
But they might be interested.
So it can be like a nice way how to show them the world
and maybe like even onboard them eventually.
How is it going to work?
So you said no wallet.
Does it mean that I'm just going to like send them
like some code or something?
Or how easy is it going to be for people?
It's exactly that.
You just send them this like I think it's like a 16 character key.
So something around that.
They then take that key where you log into the game.
You know, it's like people with a pass,
they can log in using this continue with far away button.
But if they don't have a pass and they're just logging in with the key,
there's a text right below that.
This is, you know, log in with a key, log external access key.
You put in that key and then that base loads for you.
And let's say you're the pass holder
and you generated an external access key for somebody else
and you want to revoke that key.
You just go to your dashboard,
which is on portal.ceremcity.xyz
and you just revoke that key
and then nobody else can play with it
and you can regenerate a new one.
That's amazing, man.
I also saw that there are like three types of the passes, right?
And they're going to be based on the hounds, the ults and the apes.
I was wondering, so are there some like what are the reasons for that
or what are the, you know, like the differences within the game actually?
There's a mechanic called like the capsule of chaos
and Dennis or Grace can, you know, fill in the blanks here.
But basically different passes produce different types of items.
Because there's this level of specialization,
like specialization obviously like breeds peer-to-peer trading,
which is what we want.
We want this like big, because it's a crafting game.
So we want, you know, this big trading economy
where people with, you know, an ape pass,
they need something that a person can produce with a hound pass, right?
So then there's this big trading economy
and then I think that's, you know, where things get pretty interesting.
So yeah, different passes produce different types of items
and these different types of items that are tradable
get produced in this mechanic in game called the capsule of chaos.
Are we going to see some like game theory or something?
Because, you know, like when I did my math, of course,
there is like 1500 ults, right?
So there's going to be, and there is 30,000 apes.
So, you know, it opened a little like DJ part of me.
So I was just curious.
Yeah, I hope so.
We sort of like factor that in.
But yeah, we're hoping some like game theory emerges.
We also have this mechanic where each item has like a global supply limit
that can be produced or existing at any given amount of time.
So we want to open up the possibility for different people
to like corner the market on different resources.
Like just like in a cartel, like a cartel would try to, you know,
corner the market on a specific, you know,
trading of a good or production of a good.
We want to enable that same like paradigm to happen
inside of this game as well.
And to zoom out a little bit, that type of like trading meta game,
that's something that will be, you know,
it's part of the game, but it's also something
that somebody could play kind of separate
without going deep on the base building itself.
Just trading gear and items that other people produce.
So there will be a way, you know,
for you to rise up the leaderboards through playing
and building up your base.
There will also be a way for you to rise up the leaderboards
from trading and figuring out these like market strategies
and what's the optimal thing to buy and burn
and potentially corner the market, et cetera.
We do think that that's going to be a pretty unique mix
where you could do both or you could do either
or whichever kind of fits more with your play style
or kind of what you want to go deeper on.
Yeah, talking about the strategy, I would love to ask
because when I started playing Heavy Metal,
I built like 50 or 60 tiles and then I figured out it
and I connected all the portals, of course, right?
The biggest mistake.
So do you have any alpha for us for the beginning,
you know, how to not fuck it up like I did
with the Heavy Metal?
What should we try to do at the beginning?
You know, there are like 75 people here right now.
So some secret alpha that only people in the space
can hear right now, you know, some little advantage
over everyone else.
I don't know if you can do that.
We can play the alpha sound if you want.
You can play the alpha sound if it makes it easier
for you guys to share.
Well, I don't know if this would be huge alpha,
but each item, each piece of gear in the game
has its own recipe.
And there's a lot of trial and error that, you know,
goes into figuring out these recipes.
And obviously, the faster somebody figures out a recipe,
the more opportunity they have, you know,
to kind of jump ahead of people who haven't figured that out.
And so I would suggest going to the diary in the game
and looking at what's there to try to figure out hints
at what these recipes are and what you should do
once you unlock the Capsular Chaos.
Awesome, guys.
I hope it's going to be a huge advantage for us on first
because I'm going to be playing a lot.
How much time actually we have to spend?
I know it's a tricky question, of course,
because we can spend 24-7.
I know, but do you have to play actively
or you do some stuff and then wait like in the pixels
where, you know, I just do something and wait six hours?
How does it work in the Serum City?
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff where you can set it up
and then come back and kind of check in on it periodically.
Obviously, the more time that somebody spends,
the more they can optimize this stuff.
But like I was saying before,
even people that don't play a ton of the base building itself,
they will still be able to participate in the leaderboards
just from trading and buying items
from other people that are crafting them.
So we do think that that will be,
for people that are looking to, you know,
still compete and be part of, you know,
to be part of the experience,
but probably not play the base kind of 24-7.
That angle also exists where you could be more of this
like trader market manipulator type of player.
Oh, so it sounds like blur.
There are a lot of people that know how to do this.
So I know I see in the audience
that there's going to be a lot of good players.
Damn, I will have to play 24-7 actually to be good.
Or I read, guys, that it's actually first game
outside of Ugalops to be powered by Apecoin.
So will Apecoin help me to gain some advantage
or to make some builds faster?
Yes, so you'll be able to spend Apecoin in the game
to buy Soul Gems and other things that you could use
to speed up timers and kind of do different things.
And obviously, if you do spend Apecoin,
you will be able to get better deals on this stuff
than if you were to, you know,
try to do the same with USDC.
Talking about...
Go ahead, Tim.
I'm sorry, but I just really love how grateful
approached it like the Carto way.
Like, can I bribe someone with Apecoin?
You know, I can spend a lot of Apecoin
to get them to be the best.
I love it.
Yeah, feet picks and my DMs also helps a little bit too
to get further, but that's a little bit of the alpha
that we don't tell you on the surface.
So only for our listeners here.
Damn, I send the picks too early, man.
I didn't get any alpha.
I'll send it on Thursday or Friday.
But you secured his face, man, so all good.
One other thing to call out is that if you have mutant hounds,
there are special things in the game for that
where you can use those NFTs to auto produce some of the items.
You can also use them as boosters to speed up production.
So somebody that's really looking to optimize their time in the game
would definitely suggest using Hounds.
Can people actually team up?
Because, you know, I see many people in gaming here
in the audience.
Can we team up?
Let's say I have Hounds.
Tino has old.
Beast has mutant.
So we can use each other's passes to actually, you know,
play together somehow.
I mean, yeah, you can definitely share access to passes
through these access codes.
But then there's also going to be just from playing.
And, you know, let's say you unlocked a recipe
and somebody else unlocked a recipe.
You might be able to kind of work out a deal on the side
where you, you know, trade that knowledge,
and both of you, you know, now have a secret recipe.
I think it will be interesting to see how that emerges,
whether people will share, whether they won't share
and keep the info to themselves,
or whether the info that they do share
actually is true or not.
Yeah, yeah, that's going to be really interesting.
And we mentioned that with Apecoin,
you can buy some things, how it's going to work,
like because there are discussion about the gas fees,
So is there similar mechanics like in the Dookie Dash
that you buy in-game currency
and you can spend it in the game?
Yeah, so you'll be able to buy,
Soul Gems is one of the main currencies,
so you'll be able to buy packs of Soul Gems for Apecoin,
and then every time you spend the Soul Gems themselves,
you're not paying gas.
That just, you know, you could spend it kind of
a little bit at a time.
I think once you start playing, you'll be able to see
that that will all be gasless,
kind of beyond that initial purchase that you made in Ape.
And then another interesting thing to call out
is the gear itself.
I think this is a pretty unique thing
that we built for this game,
and this will probably be the first game
to have this type of system,
but the Chaos gear, that will be minted on Polygon,
but it will be all done gasless
through just you spending these in-game Soul Gems.
So, for example, you won't need to bridge Matic
to Polygon, et cetera, to mint.
You'll be able to just show up with your pass
and then use the in-game Soul Gems
that you either bought or that you got in the game for free
to be able to mint stuff,
and it will mint, you know, gasless and go to your wallet.
You could mint and burn without having to do any,
you know, without having to bridge any tokens on Polygon.
Yeah, this is another great thing
because imagine you have NFTs like Hounds
and Mutants, they are on ETH, right?
Then you use Polygon in a Mini Royale.
I minted my avatar on Solana, you know?
So we have so many different chains.
I also read in the blog post that you're going to use more.
So will you use any other layer or any other chains in-game
and how it affect the users?
Or is it everything in background
and we're not going to even realize
what kind of chain we're using?
I think it should never...
Jens, go ahead.
Yeah, I was going to say,
we're definitely trying to make it as seamless
and as in the background as possible
because, you know, everything that we've built under the hood
is multi-chain.
So ideally, you know, we just kind of pick and choose
whatever is the best for the right thing
that you're trying to do.
So, you know, obviously a lot of people,
they have their most valuable assets on Ethereum mainnet
but then there's tons of this kind of higher volume,
higher quantity stuff that you're going to want to mint
that could be on other chains.
And so that's something where right now we have
the ETH mainnet and polygon setup
but it's something that we could expand
as the market evolves and as we see the need for it evolve.
That's awesome.
And also on the website,
I didn't miss one important thing
and you also guys announced it, right?
That you are also working on the Legends of the Mara
and when I played Legends of the Mara,
I saw the Serum City chests.
So are those games, or will those games be connected
a little bit or how it's going to work?
I think quick clarification,
the current Legends of the Mara we don't work on.
There's a new mobile game.
Yeah, there's a new mobile game
that's coming out that we're working on.
But yeah, I mean, you think you can think of that
if far away is like touching something,
we're prioritizing interoperability between those experiences
which is why, of course, you saw Serum City chests
in the current Legends of the Mara
which we consider more of like a staking game
and then there's the full game
that's going to be more like a strategy game that we're making.
That's super interesting, guys.
I see one of the things that kind of fascinated me
when I was going through the website actually
that all the items and the currencies
and the level of the player will be connected
to the Serum City Pass.
Is that correct?
And if so, I'm wondering how this is going to affect the game
or what different game mechanics is going to be created
because of this?
Dennis, do you want to take that?
I mean, basically, this is talking via the Pass is your account.
Yeah, maybe go ahead.
I didn't quite understand the question.
Yeah, so maybe I say the other way that
because like when I was thinking about games in Web3 back then,
I always was thinking like that the part of the NFT
will be also the achievements and the collectibles
and everything that I will collect in the game.
And it seems like you guys doing it this way
that within the Serum City Pass,
I will be able to have these items and the artifacts
and the score and those things.
So I was thinking, is this like a novel thing
that's going to make the games more fun or more interesting?
Or what do guys think, how it's going to play out?
I think it'll be interesting.
So in Serum City, the Serum City Pass is basically
your game account.
So all of the different accomplishments
that you've done in the game,
all of your different in-game actions,
everything is stored to that Pass.
So this goes back to our choice of chain.
It's like that thing that continues to accrue in value
like we put on EthL1 and these more high-velocity types of items,
quickly create them, trade them, burn them, et cetera.
Those are on Polygon, which is more on the cheap and fast side of things.
But yeah, this Pass is supposed to continue to accrue in value.
The more things you do, the more history that Pass stores.
And yeah, I think there's probably a lot of things that we can do
once we have this Pass with lots of history.
Maybe we make this Pass, have some utility in other games,
depending on its history.
But there's a lot of stuff we can do.
But yeah, I think we definitely want this Pass,
at least for season one and season two,
to continue to accrue history from each player's play sessions.
And there are achievements in the game
where if you win those achievements,
and if you're one of the first to unlock those achievements,
you'll get these special blessings
that will go as special traits on the Pass.
So that's something also to keep an eye on
once you start playing is go check out the achievements
and some of that stuff will translate
into a permanent special trait on the Pass that will be very unique.
I know there are people that are really focused on gaming
and in Heavy Metal they were hired to play.
So basically, can people really grind and play hardcore
to increase the value of the Pass
and then sell it to players like me who are more casual,
like chills?
They can grind, of course,
but there is sort of this strategic element.
Grinding will get you so far.
You didn't want a game that was just pure grind.
You know what I mean?
That can get a little bit boring and monotonous.
So at some point you're playing these events.
These events are based around the items that you produce.
Are you burning or donating these items
to the capsule of chaos?
Are you burning them in the right event?
Are you playing on the right leaderboard?
Are you burning the right collections?
Are you cornering the market on the right item for that day?
Are you looking at how many season points you have?
You're getting just enough to move to the next tier.
There's a lot of strategy here that, of course,
playing a lot will definitely help you get the items,
but it won't necessarily help you win the leaderboards
because that's more strategic thinking.
I love that you mentioned the fun aspect.
It's so important in gaming, so you just don't grind.
I have to say the mini-royal, it's so much fun.
It's insane. It's so addictive.
I know Nana, he's doing such a great job.
He's crazy. He's the leader of our club.
It's such a great game.
Can't wait to play Serum City.
You mentioned season one and season two.
How long is the season one?
When the season two starts?
What are the differences between the seasons?
I think maybe you can take that one.
We're looking at season one being a four-month season.
Obviously, we're going to be looking at the feedback.
I think that's something, again, to call out.
We've been building with the community,
factoring in feedback from these early betas.
We're going to continue doing that throughout season one.
Obviously, we have some cool big new features planned for season two
that we already have started planning out and working on.
But we're also going to be looking at feedback
and ideas from the community as well from playing season one
and using that to inform some of the decisions we make in season two.
Yeah, I think it might also be worth noting.
In terms of leaderboards for season one versus season two,
in season one, players will rank on various leaderboards
with the ultimate goal of winning special HQ traits,
which will be assigned to their passes and vehicle parts, car parts.
Those will be very helpful for season two
where we're planning to have a prize pool with a minimum of $100,000.
This is the second space we've ever said this on,
the first space being yesterday.
Not a ton of people know about this,
but those are some pretty substantial differences
between some of the prizes for season one and season two.
Damn, I love it.
I also love that you changed your background for this announcement.
That's absolutely amazing.
I know that you're really strong guys in Mutant Cartel in brand building,
so you did it on brand.
I love that.
Yeah, this is the offer.
I love it.
I can't wait to play.
Damn, let's go.
I see many hearts in the audience because we kind of play hardcore for 100k, 100%.
That's the goal.
I think, Grace, you mentioned that that's the minimum, right?
The goal is to continue to grow that over season one and season two,
but that's what we're setting the minimum as,
because I think it's important that people understand them in.
So, guys, I didn't listen to Vanguard really that much
because he said, like, oh, you don't have to rush with minting.
So, I just fucking rushed and minted my Serum City.
So, I'm really happy that I'm one of the first people who did it
and super excited.
It was amazing, like super smooth process.
Everything worked perfect.
I also really like the that's the best question
that you could actually mint to another wallet.
So, like, for someone basically.
So, like, from one wallet to another,
which is not very common and I really like this
and definitely gonna be minting two more days, basically.
So, for the hounds and for the mutant as well.
My question is, so, like, what's next after all the claims?
What was the process afterwards?
The game starts.
So, literally, the day of the third claim,
which is where, like, the BAYC and MAYC folks, they claim,
the game is gonna go live, like, that day as well.
So, on the last day of the past claim,
we're also taking season one live.
So, you better get ready, Tino.
And I really hope you minted into my wallet
because I don't have an alt.
So, that pause would be really handy.
But let's see, let's see.
Guys, you mentioned 100K.
Are there any more prices?
Because I think I saw somewhere, like,
APE coin prices, too.
So, how it's gonna work?
Yeah, I think it'll be paid in APE.
It'll be, like, 100K min USD.
But it'll be paid in the APE coin equivalent at that time.
But, yeah, there's definitely gonna be more types of cool stuff.
But I think that's more like a Novel Labs question
with some, like, cool merch and things like that.
Yeah, we certainly, if I could add or expand on Alex's statement here
and also kind of hard to follow up next on the stage
when Grace drops a bomb like that
in terms of what our prize pool will look like.
But, you know, in terms of, like, the lead up,
how people can also acquire additional prizes,
because, you know, we mentioned that's kind of like
the main prize pool coming for season two.
We, of course, have some special prizes for season one.
First and foremost, to kick things off.
And this was alluded to earlier in the spaces today.
And I just wanted to give everyone a little notice about it
in the event that maybe it didn't cross your timeline yesterday
for whatever reason.
At this time right now, we are having a giveaway going.
So what this is gonna happen is,
and I shared it to the top of the space as well, everyone.
So this is a very simple process.
And shout out to those that were involved in getting this created.
But essentially what you're gonna do
is you can swing by the Mutant Cartel Discord server.
And the join link is here in the thread there.
And you will simply create your Serum City banner
with your asset.
That being either like a hound, a mutant, or an ape,
for example, for now.
And you can enter our giveaway by placing it.
It'll auto-generate it.
You know, all the directions are here in the thread.
And you can auto-generate your Serum City banner
with your asset on it.
And then just post your banner in the replies.
You know, retweet it.
Follow Serum City.
And you get the opportunity to enter our giveaway.
There'll be one oath being given away
and one mutant hound being given away.
And both of those assets will allow you to claim
a Serum City pass.
And again, open indefinitely.
So whether you get those items, you know,
just after the opening of each,
you'll still be able to claim no problem
and move forward with that.
So that's like kind of first things to kick off
and be running different competitions.
So, of course, there'll be the quests in-game.
You know, there'll be many a mission, you know,
for our most goal-oriented individuals
to find themselves partaking in.
But also in addition to those things,
we're going to be doing certain giveaways
that we're going to offer as well, too.
You know, where we want people to, you know,
share your city, you know,
so you'll be able to do that, you know,
post screenshots of your city.
Let us know when you reached a certain XP rank first
or let us know when you crafted, you know,
certain items first and things of that nature.
So there'll be many different opportunities
for people to take advantage of earning,
you know, a little extra, you know,
credit, we'll say,
for as a part of their experience in Serum City.
That's awesome.
And I did the banner,
and it's so easy to create it, guys.
So if you haven't done it,
go there after the show or just bookmark the tweet
because it's 100% worth it.
And the banner is amazing.
I love it.
So, yeah.
I'm also thinking about
we're doing that event, right,
in Paris, DJs in Paris.
It's a mutant cartel.
We are also part of that.
So, yeah, maybe we can do some
IRL Serum City there, you know.
I know that many of you,
as I saw in London,
you can drink a lot of Serums, 100%.
And, yeah, I'll stop there, probably.
Also, guys, where can we play the game?
Is it like a browser game,
or are you thinking also about the app store
so we can play mobile?
So, yeah, Season 1 and Season 2
will be a browser only.
So it's at serumsity.xyz.
But for Season 3, you know,
we want to take this game to mobile.
I mean, at the point where it goes to mobile, right,
it needs to have all of the NFT gates, like, lifted.
So at the point where we're ready to lift the NFT gate
and take things more like the free-to-play direction,
of course, at that time, you know,
we'll go to the app stores.
Yeah, well, what is the most challenging, actually,
to get a game into the app store?
Because I know, I'm not sure if Apple is NFT-friendly.
Because my follow-up question is with Dookie Dash,
I think that's an amazing move
that everyone can actually play the game on their iPhone.
I think for onboarding more people
and teaching them or showing them IP,
BAYC IP or any other IP is an incredible move.
So what are the biggest challenges
to get the game into the app store?
And, yeah.
I think the biggest thing is just, you know,
Apple and Google obviously have their constantly changing,
like, restrictions around games
that have any sort of, you know, crypto or web3 element.
So I think just making sure you comply
with all of their different requirements
is probably the biggest challenge,
and just consistently trying to adapt to whatever,
you know, changing rules that they have.
But that's the same thing, you know,
we're doing in Dookie Dash.
You know, all of the learnings
from, like, the Dookie Dash submission process,
you know, of course, we will apply to Serum City.
But, I mean, Dennis and I come from, like, a mobile gaming background
at, like, some, like, bigger mobile gaming studios.
So, yeah, we definitely know all of the different Apple
and Google rule sets.
So, yeah, we're paying close attention there anyway.
And what do you think that's necessary
to onboard more people into the gaming?
You know, Dookie Dash, I believe,
it's going to be amazing
because everyone had so much fun playing it last year.
Is it, like, easy access to the game, free to play,
or how you think about onboarding, like, masses
or new people that are not in web3, you know,
because we are not a huge community yet.
So I believe that onboarding new people
into our ecosystem is really, really crucial.
I think, like, making a fun game
is definitely, you know, number one,
like, making sure that the onboarding is fluid,
like, well understood.
There's constantly things for people to do inside of your game.
So, you know, if people that have played, like, city builders
before know that, you know, there's constantly
these little, like, mini events that are happening,
like, you know, of course there's the city building
and crafting element, but there's other things to do
while you're waiting for, you know, some things to get crafted.
So these are all things that we're, of course, going to be adding,
like, over the course of season one and season two
as we get ready for, you know, the, let's say,
like, the mass market launch.
But I think most important is, like, making a fun game,
making sure that people understand, like,
how to play the game with, like, a really, you know,
fun and informative, like, tutorial.
And then I think the good thing, right, is that the art style
is, like, so unique.
So, I mean, when this thing appears in the app store, right,
it's going to immediately pop.
It's not going to look like, you know, some other, you know,
one of these, you know, ever increasing number of, like,
farm build clones that are out there all with the same
app, like, art style.
I think this is going to be very distinct,
and it has, of course, the benefit of having, like,
an already super engaged community, like, behind it,
like, a very strong core.
So, I think that'll just help, you know, get the word out
as soon as this thing goes mass market.
Great points, 100%.
Do you also thinking about, I don't know,
marketing the game outside?
I don't know how marketing of games work, actually,
if you have to go to conferences or if you do ads
or whatever.
Do you also think about something like that?
Yeah, totally, just straight.
I mean, when it's mobile, like, mobile gaming, right,
it's just straight performance marketing.
Like, that's the thing that actually works at scale.
Do you also think there's going to be some benefits
in the future?
Like, let's say, in a few months or years,
that the holders of the OG Pass will have some kind
of benefits compared to the, like, let's say,
normies that are joining the game just through the app?
Yeah, I mean, those passes are definitely special.
So, I mean, we definitely want to make sure
that we're, like, always, like, thinking about them
and, like, figuring out what we can do with them,
but we do want them to, of course, like, be special.
Awesome, yeah, I think that's going to be so much
so interesting for Web3 Gaming because we are so early.
We are the pioneers, you know, having all the NFTs and passes.
The same, I believe, for the other side and other games.
So, yeah, it's going to be really interesting
to look back in, like, a year or two
to see what happened because the progress,
it has been really crazy.
You know, like, Builders has been building.
Love to see that, guys.
Also, Dr. Dave Cohen, he was like,
you have to ask about the music.
So, Redhead, that's probably going to you.
He was like, the music is absolutely amazing.
I can agree.
So, your music is in the game, too,
or how it's going to work?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, I have the absolute pleasure of working
with the Faraway team and building the soundscape,
the sonic picture that you hear while you play.
So, for me, it was an absolute joy,
but essentially, I was able to create
the environment sonically to really capture
the fact that you're in Serum City
and every little thing in there,
from sound effects to the ambiance to the music
to the menus, the UIs,
all the little clicking you're going to do,
all the levels you're going to level up on,
all the loot you're going to accrue,
everything from there.
I went ahead and was able to create
what I thought made the most sense for Serum City,
and hopefully you all do.
Along those lines, though,
I had made a few tracks, quite a few tracks for Serum City,
and we landed on a main one,
but I felt it wasn't fair to the tracks
to just leave them in a file on my computer.
So, we're going to go ahead and release
the official soundtrack for Serum City,
Vibes from Serum City, shortly,
and you'll be able to hear more Red Hat,
whether you like it or not.
Let's go. God, I love that so much.
I just wanted to jump in.
We got to hop for another call,
but this has been amazing.
The Vibes, grateful. I'm grateful.
You're grateful.
I've loved getting to meet so many more people
in the community,
but this has been so much fun,
and we are happy to hop on another time.
We love you guys.
Thanks for having us on.
Thanks, guys.
Thanks, everybody.
Thank you so much, guys.
Definitely hop on next time
or watch my streams.
I'll be on Twitch, playing Serum City.
It's going to be crazy.
Thank you so much for sharing all the alpha.
Have fun.
I also saw Leo in the audience,
so I prepared an intro for him,
because he's a legend.
Let's go, guys.
It's absolutely insane.
You have been building so, so much.
How are you feeling today, guys?
Redhead one guard,
Lip and Nick Seros, how is it going for you?
I know people are already claiming the passes,
so how is the day for you?
It seems really exciting.
My houndish heart is literally
busting through my chest right now.
It's a challenge to compose myself.
I will be completely honest.
Like I said, I kicked off the spaces today.
No one brings the energy quite like the Grateful Show.
I host the weekly spaces,
and I myself need to inject some nitro
into my bloodstream just to match the energy
that I get over here.
It's funny, because I feel as though
I'm also kicking up another notch here
being at this current moment.
But look, it's been quite the journey.
I have to say, from the humble beginnings
of Novel Labs in the Mutant Cartel
over two years ago to where we are today,
this is one of those move the needle moments
in terms of the composition that we put together
and the many things that we've had the opportunity
to put together as a team,
and then to also collide two colossal entities
in this space, in our opinion,
with Novel and Faraway to bring together
Serum City in this capacity.
We talked about the time that it took to get here.
It's kind of like one of those things where,
I mean, it almost was like a baby in the oven
being baked for that full term, in essence.
And here we are today, and that's just in Serum City,
but from the beginning to now,
it's been quite the momentous occasion.
And the best thing about this, in my opinion,
it's not just how excited we are for Novel,
how thankful and excited we are for Faraway,
but it's for our community.
And to me, that's one of the biggest things here.
And the reason I say that is,
we all have these amazing assets, right?
I look through the audience here,
and I scroll my timeline on a few times a day,
if not double digit times a day on X here.
And I just see all these assets as people's PFPs
and people excited to use them,
or people excited to post about them.
But I wonder, how do they use their IP, right?
What's the way that you're getting a use case?
Welcome Serum City.
This is an opportunity for our community
to license their assets into our game
to actually have a use case for it.
So like that excitement level,
when someone is interacting with it
and they come across, you know,
like you talked about Dr. Dave,
an officer of the cartel,
like when he comes across Scorcher,
I mean, shoot, how excited do you think he would feel
like to see his hound, you know, in the game,
having a role, right?
Or any of us here, you know,
you'll definitely, for those of you who may not be so familiar with us
and novel, you know,
you're certainly get to know a lot more about the red hats,
you know, the nixeroses,
the black suits, the dukes, the lips,
and you know, the rest of the crew here.
And in that process of that too,
you also learn about some profound and very impactful community members
who have been building with us along the way,
like Avi, you know, like Buffalo, you know,
and so many others, Triple Ace.
I mean, we could go down the list.
I don't think we have enough time to list everyone,
but certainly you will get to know them very, very well.
And in that, I'm so excited about that process.
And again, we are just less than 40, you know,
about 48 hours away, give or take from the official launch here.
So really, really just, you know, at the pinnacle right now.
Man, I feel the vibes.
It's incredible.
And for me, buying and collecting NFTs,
it's a timestamp of the time, you know,
and it's being part of the community, right?
And Mutant Cartel, guys, you are crazy.
Like, you are always hyped.
You are always pumped.
You're always here to help us.
Like, it's really unbelievable, right?
And, you know, the party and the event in London,
it was so great.
I still remember the vibes and everything,
and I was so amazed by the art on the walls there and everything.
I was like, damn, this is special.
Yeah, but I see Leo here on stage,
so I want to say hi to Leo.
I hope you're doing well, man.
How is it going for you today, man?
Oh, what's up, bros?
Yo, GMDM, man.
What's up, let's go!
What a horrible day to break a tooth.
I was rolling, and I broke, like, a pretty big tooth,
so I had to go and get it all fixed.
Unfortunately, it was during this hour,
so I'm sorry that I'm joining a little bit late
and background noise here because I'm going back home
from the doctor's office,
but I just really wanted to catch up with you guys,
and God damn it, man, Serum City.
Fucking excited about that.
That's one truth.
Let's fucking go, man.
I'm also excited.
I know you got a little issue with the tooth.
It probably fucked up a day a little bit,
but how are you feeling about the launch today,
about the claims and the excitement on the timeline?
Like, if you look at the comments of this space,
like, they are the banners.
It's full of banners with hounds and mutants.
It's crazy.
Yeah, dude, I'm feeling great
because I think now is, like,
a good moment for the entire industry
to kind of, yeah, just really hold different teams accountable,
and I think that what we did with Novel Labs is
we really just built a lot,
and we've been shipping like fucking crazy,
so it's not just Serum City.
It's like, yeah, we've been building Serum City.
There's two other collections on the way.
We've all kind of been doing this for quite some time.
There's a lot of work that went into all the different things
that we're doing,
and just to see things being shipped is the most fantastic moment for us
because we're like, okay, we can take a breath.
We can enjoy the moment,
and then we can get right back to work a day later,
and that's what's been happening for Novel Labs as a team
for the last six months.
I think we've really, really picked up the pace
in terms of comms,
in terms of just delivering on things
in a proper way for the community,
and there's two ways to go about this.
You either kind of launch two collections,
a full fucking game,
or you build a keyboard or something,
which is, it's fine.
I think a lot of people have been talking shit
about different ways to build a community
and to kind of create value for collections,
around collections.
I think that we found the right way.
I think we're doing it right,
and we just want to do more.
Again, I'm not putting us up against anybody else,
but it is interesting to kind of see how much
we've been building and shipping
when looking at the industry as a whole,
and so I'm really proud of that.
I'm really proud of the team.
Really, just so proud of the team.
I think I'm just kind of like a glorified messenger
for everybody else on the Novel Labs team,
which is just an incredible team.
I'm so, so, so proud of what we've done,
what we're doing, and where we're going.
That's my feelings.
Love to hear that, Leo.
You mentioned that you have a lot of stuff coming soon.
Would you like to touch a bit about what's going to happen?
You probably meant diffusion and some other stuff,
other collection that you're going to be releasing.
Oh, and there's going to be ordinals, right?
Another interesting and exciting thing.
I think we need a little bit of that ordinals alpha
since you touched that grateful.
Yeah, sure.
Just checking.
Can you guys hear me well?
Yeah, yeah, all good.
It's just fine, yeah.
All right.
Ordinals, I think, is one of the coolest, and I say this a lot.
I think that utility and kind of real, I guess,
innovative use cases will go to Ethereum,
will go to the EVM undoubtedly.
And of course, I mean, you'll have some kind of parallel networks
where it's going to continue happening.
I think Sei and Solana have been seeing a lot of growth
on the NFT and gaming and utility side of things
when it comes to NFTs.
But yeah, EVM is really where it's at from the point of view
of doing cool shit and unlocking new value using this technology.
But I think that culture and community and vibes and art,
especially art, is really just going to go to Bitcoin.
And we're already seeing, I mean, obviously,
the Taproot Wizards and all of those kind of OG projects
have been doing it for much longer than us.
But what we found out is actually a lot of it,
to go early, you need to spend as little time as possible
kind of building the collection.
We didn't do that, right?
We took a long, long, long time to build our collections.
We're very proud of that.
But maybe that's why we're showing up on Bitcoin
a little bit later than we'd like.
But we still think that the timing is incredibly strong.
We think that there's still room to really be that kind of number one project on Bitcoin,
whether it's a 10K or something else.
I think there's just so much room for that.
I love the node monkeys.
I love the Bitcoin puppets.
I think that our art on Bitcoin will be the best art on Bitcoin.
And that's where I'm really kind of focused on delivering results.
We've been working on this for quite some time
and we think that the IP is already there.
It's already kind of recognizable.
You already know how powerful the IP is.
And now taking that IP in a different form onto Bitcoin
is something I'm super, super excited about.
In terms of alpha, I mean, fuck, man.
It's coming in fab.
It's coming next month.
It's real soon.
And we think it's going to be a real good way to, first of all, reward
and kind of give something special to existing holders.
So there's going to be a very cool mechanic there
for the existing holders, which I'm not sure if we should say now.
We might say now, if you guys tug on it a little bit more.
But yeah, we're awake.
We're ready.
I know you guys are ready.
So there's going to be a real cool mechanic for existing holders
to kind of bring some of their existing IP to life on Bitcoin.
We think that's going to be huge.
And then there's also, of course, the real collection
that we think is going to be super different,
super recognizable, but still different.
And we're just really psyched about that.
And of course, the Megas and the legendaries
from the existing collection are given special, special treatment.
So I'm really excited for that.
Beast, are you happy?
Man, I can't fucking wait.
Yes, I'm excited.
And also like when Leo actually mentioned that they take time
with collections.
But you know, I think it's actually like a great sign
because when I'm thinking about Mutant Cuddle,
I see you guys like since 2021.
And I think it's such a powerful thing
because you had the time to create all the lore,
all the stories around like for the community
and like the hardcore community, right?
And I think it's also one reason why you're such a strong
and really amazing community because you took this time.
So I'm really bullish, man.
Always happy to hear you, Leo.
And yeah, fucking excited.
Yeah, and that's not all right because we know
there's going to be 3D hounds on the other side.
So I'm still wondering like what's the connection
between Serum City, Dookie Dash, maybe Mini Royale,
other side, what is going to be like,
are you planning anything like that that those games
will be connected?
You'll see.
I knew that.
Let's go.
Let's go.
That was the alpha 100%.
Guys, one more thing.
Are you going to Paris?
No, I can't guarantee.
I can't say anything.
No comment, but you'll see.
Okay, okay.
I got that.
Guys, are you actually going to Paris
because there's going to be another opportunity
for me to get more alpha there?
I feel like they're trying to coordinate
and see who can make it out there.
So whoever can, we'll definitely do that.
Yeah, sorry, guys.
I'm literally on a bike riding home right now,
so yeah, I'm going to be in Paris.
I'm not sure exactly what my dates are,
but we, the cartel, we've got some stuff going on
outside of NFC Paris that we're just really,
really focused on.
So for us, it's more about just like,
yeah, staying close to the targets.
We've got like three, four really big milestones this year.
So it's going to be about, yeah,
I think the celebrations and the showing up
and holidays and doing cool shit,
we'll come at a different time,
but I'll personally be in Paris,
and I'm looking forward to meeting you, Rachel.
Can't wait.
It's going to be epic.
It was epic last year,
and yeah, really can't wait to meet you guys again.
And who knows,
maybe we've got a couple of surprises in Paris.
You know, like we're playing our cards
pretty close to our chefs right now.
In addition to that, too, as well,
you know, definitely we have the DJs in Paris event.
That's a community-led event, by the way,
created, you know, inside.
And, you know, you've shouted Dr. Dave out a few times here.
He's definitely spearheaded that process.
Also, Fuck It Productions,
that group that was responsible for the Fuck It Friday event
that precluded the Fuck It Saturday in Miami last summer.
So certainly, by all means, check out our Discord
or the official Fuck It Friday account
or music cartel account for more information
on the DJs in Paris event,
which is coming up here in February.
But we also wanted to give the opportunity, as well,
while we're talking about IRL events
and, you know, opportunities for people to network
and bring apes together and cartelians and hounds together.
Just wanted to shout out, as well,
if anyone fancies a luxurious, all-inclusive little vacay,
check us out, too, because the embassy is reopening
this spring, as well.
And that embassy is located
on the mystical island of Ibiza,
where literally everyone who goes there
has the time of their life.
So, as always, you know, we talked about
when Novel Labs is delivering,
yet another item is also being added to our resume here.
So, by all means, reach out to us
if you want further information
about booking a stay, anything like that.
And, of course, be on the lookout for the official links
and things of that nature from our official
Mutant Cartel account.
Yeah, that looks absolutely insane.
I saw the photos.
I talked to a few people that were there,
and it's absolutely amazing.
So, yeah, that's right.
Go ahead, Lior.
I know you are on a bike, so...
I think he just wanted to add
that there will be, hopefully,
amazing chocolate there, right?
That's what you wanted to say, Lior,
because me and Grateful have amazing chocolate,
which would be just perfect for that spot.
I'm kidding.
Yeah, Grateful Ape and Infitorem chocolate
going to the Ibiza 100%.
Guys, is there anything that you would like to share
or that we maybe forgot to ask?
Because then I have one more question.
If we could take this time
to say how grateful we are for you and your crew
yet another time, I think that certainly is due
I think every, what, 20 minutes or so
we need to let you all know,
because what did you say here, Grateful?
Is this episode number 240?
Not that we're keeping count or anything,
but, you know, if you have that round of applause
on your soundboard ready to go,
why don't you go ahead and do that
while patting yourself?
Let's fucking go.
Thank you so much, guys.
I absolutely love that today.
And my follow-up question was,
if people want to join the cartel
and they don't own a mutant or hound,
what is actually the best way to get into the family?
It's a great question, you know,
and certainly in this regard for everyone here,
apologize to any background noise right now,
sorry for the timing,
is that we're an all-inclusive community,
right, so from day one, minute one,
hour one, everything, like as soon as you arrive,
there will be people there to greet you
and to let you know what we're all about.
And we are going to showcase to you,
you know, what our lore is, what we stand for,
why the strength in numbers matter so much.
And you know what,
and this is the great thing about this too,
and certainly why Serum City matters so much
and kind of why you asked about onboarding,
I'm grateful is that, you know,
with people who may have additional passes
and things of that nature,
this is the perfect way to continue to get someone in.
And especially for the opportunity for people,
if they want to hold, you know,
a little skin in the game,
a little piece of the action,
they could even look to pick up Serum City paths as well
that could potentially be available.
You know, for example,
most people are familiar with marketplaces like OpenSea,
and I know we're really looking forward to Magic Eden,
for example, that's on the, you know,
the precipice of being delivered here.
But for these passes, for example,
there's an official faraway shop
where they'll be available.
And the reason why they're available in that capacity
on the faraway shop,
and I'm not sure if Alex and Dennis
had kind of alluded to this earlier,
but the metadata will update with your in-game progress,
which is why it needs to be showed on the faraway shop.
And I know, you know, people may be interested,
like you said, about, you know,
kind of progressing further in the game,
and then they'll have the opportunity
to kind of like offer that on the market.
So in this instance, too,
for people who are joining for the first time,
and they don't yet have an oath,
don't yet have a hound or a mutant
or an ape, for example,
the opportunity to, well,
there's also fusing materials for the new collection
that's coming up as well.
There's hound callers.
So, you know, I know our umbrella is, you know,
starting to get larger and larger,
but we think Serum City is the perfect,
like, great little entry point there, right?
And again, delegating the passes with that access key,
it's like sharing a 16-character code,
and they would just enter it, and boom, they're there,
I think that's a great open entry here,
and that, again, kicks off on February 1st.
So again, you know, our community,
and to add to that, we are just so welcoming,
you know, to everyone.
I have to say that, like, I'm so proud
of our community for the way that they,
you know what I mean, kind of welcome everyone,
you know, and that's the beauty of Web3.
Your history, your past, all that stuff
has nothing to do with it.
It's all about what you're going to provide,
you know, and what you're going to bring to the table
that kind of sets the standard for that relationship.
And Cartel, we're all about what, you know,
what you can, what we can build together.
That's so awesome, and I think these codes,
that's going to be huge,
because we have a Grateful Show group chat,
and I know there are people that they don't own a mutant
or BAYC or hound, so they'll be able to play anyway
because we can share the codes with them,
and that's amazing.
So yeah, guys, can't wait to play.
Can't wait to actually claim,
and it's going to be Epic Week.
I absolutely love 2024.
It's been just a month in,
and it's been amazing.
So damn, this year is going to be crazy.
If you're going to Paris,
guys, definitely check Deejans in Paris.
It's going to be wild.
We got to be there.
You know, it's going to be insane.
So definitely join us if you can.
And yeah, guys, peace.
Dino, anything else that you would like to ask or add?
Man, can't wait to mint.
Can't wait to play.
Can't wait to meet you in Paris.
It's pretty soon now.
And I also want to give a quick shout out
to Dr. Dave Coyne and AFF,
because like these two guys,
they often join us in Grateful Show,
and they always bring like such a fucking amazing vibes.
And I know they're like, they're cheering for the cartel.
They're cheering for the hounds,
and they're just amazing.
They're rocking also the Undead Hour show together.
So big flowers to them,
and all of you who joined today.
I mean, it was epic.
Like, we couldn't have more pumped space,
I think, Grateful and Dino, right?
No, man, it was incredible.
Thank you so much, everyone, for listening.
Lior got back.
So Lior, if you want to add anything,
I'm super happy that you're back.
If you want to add anything, Lior, go ahead, man.
No, I just want to say I love you, Dino, man.
You've been giving me a lot of inspiration
through a lot of your recent work.
I've been following very closely.
I love it.
Really, sorry, really random.
Oh, my God, I'm blushing now.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate it, man.
I'm really blushing.
Yeah, I love my work.
Thank you so much.
I love you guys.
This has been amazing.
Big love.
It's always amazing with you guys.
The same.
Yeah, and catch me in Southern City, motherfuckers.
Let's go.
I just got a DM from Dr. Dave Cohen,
and he recorded the voice message.
How excited is he?
So I'll just play it quickly.
Yeah, that's him.
Lipp, I see your hand.
Go ahead.
Yeah, before we wrap up,
just a super quick shout out to the whole Novel of Art team.
You know, I know that generally falls under the radar,
but I just want to shout out, you know,
John, Simon, Sasha, Uber, and Mr. Vice, which,
and probably I've forgotten some,
but top hitter, they've grown with Novel,
became straight of the art luminaries of what they do.
So just shout out to them.
It's not obvious.
They have such a stacked team,
and we should all be grateful and thankful.
So that's all my contribution here.
It's good.
Thanks for the show.
Thank you so much, guys.
And thank you so much for bringing the vibes,
for bringing the alpha and for everything,
what you're doing in the space, because it's fun.
You know, we really enjoy hosting you.
We really enjoy being part of the community,
and it's always amazing.
So I was really looking forward for this space.
And yeah, it was great.
So thank you so much.
Thank you so much, everyone who joined us on stage.
Thank you so much, everyone, for listening.
It was absolute bless.
Go claim your passes and see you in the Serum City, right?
Thank you, everyone, for joining us today.
And see you in the Serum City.
Let's fucking go.
Let's do this.
Let's fucking go.
This was a grateful show, 241.
Hey, guys, before you leave, let's clap our hands a bit.
Let's go.
Hell yeah.
Let's fucking go.
Everybody.
Maybe not you, Leo.
If you are on the bike, be careful.
Keep your hands.
Big love, guys.
Come on, y'all.
Have a good one.
What's up, man?
I'm not tired.
I'm not tired.
I'm not what.
Let's go.
I'm not tired.
I'm retired.
Thank you, man.
Thanks for joining us.
I'm not what.
I'm not what.
I'm not what.
Let's go, everybody.
And if you want to listen to the epic Mutant Cartel Redhead
music, go on Spotify, probably Apple Music, and search for Redhead
because the music is so lit.
I absolutely love good fellas.
Like you say to somebody, you're going to like this guy.
He's all right.
He's a good fella.
He's all right.
Have a great Tuesday.
Is it Tuesday or Thursday?
I have no idea what's happening in Web 3.
Oh, my God.
Great Tuesday, guys.
Enjoy your day.
Enjoy playing all the crazy games that are available now in Web 3.
And have fun.
Thank you so much for listening.
Love you.
Big love.
See you on Thursday, guys.
Let's go.
