Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Music uh
uh Oh Music Happy Wide Barrow wednesday everyone bm and welcome to the wide barrow wind space
i personally think that is a wonderful play on words hopefully you feel the same but even if you
don't that's fine because i think it's great i hope you're all having a particularly wide day so far,
whether you're tuning in and it's the afternoon, evening, nighttime, or maybe even it's Thursday,
and you've already had a very wide Wednesday yourself. We appreciate you stopping by.
The vibes of this space, in case this is your first time listening in, are we typically start out with a little bit of
classic Barabara. And that is, of course, a Japanese term that the Barra Eco has co-opted
that means mindlessly and endlessly yapping. So we'll kick off the vibes of this space with some
chit chat with all of you and amongst ourselves. Then we'll roll into some very exciting and wide baritone updates,
and maybe even you'll get some alpha. Who knows? And then at the end, we always reserve some time
for a community AMA. If you'd like to hang out with us, but you don't really like to talk in
spaces, that's fine. We're actually hanging out in the Barric Cave channel,
so if you're not already in the Baritone Discord, first of all, Bestie, come on now,
you should be. And then second of all, head on over there now. I've got my eyes on the chat,
so if you have any questions, comments, or you just want to show me your favorite baritone sticker, I will get it.
Also, would love to see some replies to this tweet on what your favorite Wide Barra meme is.
It is, after all, Wide Barra Wednesday, so we must show our love and appreciation to the
widest Barra of them all. That being said, hey everyone.
Hi Pixel, how are you today?
I'm good, Icy.
Very busy, as you know.
I do, I'm very good.
Also very busy.
Yeah, the Baritone team has basically been non-stop around the clock for quite some time now,
basically been non-stop around the clock for quite some time now and i don't think that's
gonna let up anytime soon as we've got so much on the bear eyes and
but a lot of exciting stuff pixel what have you been working on today
um marketing and promotion materials for our upcoming NFT Mint
and for the playtest.
Those are the two things that are very close on the horizon.
Playtest, we dropped a date that that's starting next week.
So that's very exciting.
Yeah, I think that date was a long time coming. Last week during the win space,
we mentioned that it was happening in April for sure. And the fact that we were finally able to
confirm that date is next Monday, April 14th is when all of our founder sale cloth holders will
get to play the game. So we're super happy about that. But a lot.
We got a couple days to kind of button things up here. And I am excited and stressed and all of the feeling all the feelings, you know? Yeah, it's, it's very sensible that you have such
wide feelings on something that you've worked so passionately on for so long. I'm really,
really excited for our community to finally get to experience this playtest, this first look
at baritone. And actually, I'll put it out there now. If you are a diamond paw in the server,
If you are a diamond paw in the server, go check the holder chat because I did ask for some survey response.
Now to clarify, the playtest itself will be available over a long span of time.
So it's not like you have a limited window to play it.
It's not like you have a limited window to play it.
You can get on and play whenever you want.
What I'm asking is how I should, like, basically what your preference would be in terms of, like, how I'm going to be scheduling the community game days where we all join VC to play together.
So, again, you are able to play the playtest once it is live at any time you would like.
playtest once it is live at any time you would like. I'm just talking about scheduling community
times where we can show up and all play together, especially because it is a multiplayer game. It's
really fun to like run around with all of these other bearers and like talking in the chat in
game and everything. So yes, please give me some feedback on that.
But I did want to clarify it.
And I'll ping all of the holders to reaffirm this clarification as well.
Because I don't want it to be confusing for anyone.
We do want to get as many people playing at one time as possible, too.
So I think the community game nights are a good way to organize that.
Because this is, after all, a play test and a network stress test for us um so we've only ever been able to do
like limited testing because we only have so many people on our team so opening it up for a couple
hundred people we would love to get as many people playing at once as possible i'm challenging all of you to see if you can break the server that's
that's what we need we need to figure out if we just fill this bad boy with as many bears as
possible is it still gonna run smooth like gravy so yeah so that's why i'm gonna be like scheduling
out some times for all of us to play together, because that's going to be important.
I haven't even really been playing video games much lately at all because I've just been, you know, so busy with baritone.
Yesterday, I actually took a few hours to myself to play some Skyrim.
I don't know if anyone saw my stream on Twitter of that, but that was nice to, you know,
sometimes it's nice to just sneak around and like stealth kill some, uh, Falmer, you know,
we need that for the, for the soul. Skyrim is very timeless. That makes me happy that you're,
you're still playing. Oh yeah. It's one of those games where like it's just i can you can play it over
and over since there's so many different ways to play it i'm actually like a huge bethesda fan like
fallout as well once like some of my favorite all-time titles you know i was actually talking
with red kev last night um and he had like talked about outer worlds which I've never actually played but he just
pilled me on it so hard because he basically was like yeah it's just like it's a Bethesda like
fallout game but in space and I was like hold the front door that sounds right up my alley
so I have to find some time in between all the craziness to give that a try.
But there's also like, besides Baritone, so many games coming soon that like I'm so excited for.
Like MapleStoryU, Axia, a couple titles that I'm like, or Axie Infinity, a couple titles that I'm like really, really, really excited for.
What about you? What's like on your radar, fellow GameWar?
What am I excited?
I'm excited for Switch 2.
You know, a lot of kind of drama since last week
was the Nintendo Direct where they kind of announced everything
and they were like, hey, pre-orders start on April 9th
and it's going to be this much.
And since then, a lot of tariff drama,
and Nintendo has delayed pre-orders,
so they are not happening today anymore.
They haven't said when they're happening.
Everyone's freaking out about the price of games
because they're like Mario Kart World is going to cost $80,
which is, you know, people were freaking out when Zelda came out
and they announced it was going to be $70.
I might have some hot takes on this,
but I kind of think all video games should be more expensive.
Everything is getting more expensive in life.
And, like, I don't...
The fact that video games have stayed at $60 for so long, despite everything else
getting more expensive, I don't, it just doesn't really make sense to me. Um, and you know, if
studios are able to charge a tiny bit more, that means they're able to make more. And that means
they're able to make and keep producing great experiences for all of us to play so it's 10 extra dollars for
something that you're going to get you know hours and hours of entertainment and relaxation from
anyway so maybe that's a controversial take but 80 seems more than fair especially because
Nintendo's you know one of the best developers in the world and they make really, really high quality
and polished products. So. Yeah, I actually get that. Cause like on one hand, just from like a
consumer standpoint, you don't enjoy hearing about like price hikes, but if you quantify it in terms
of like, okay, well how many hours will this investment get me in return for a good time I think it makes it like more
just like easier to be okay with spending a little bit more so I think that's a a fair
perspective to throw on the table
the good news is baritone will be free to play so you know yeah we're gonna say none of this
really applies to baritone baritone will be free yeah that's one of the one of the great things
about uh web3 gaming crypto gaming we're not really beholden to this typical video game
monetization structure so uh very good news for baritone players baritone is recession proof g posted that in
the baritoners twitter community and i thought that was a great tweet by the way if you're not
already in our twitter community that's like a brand new development i do have it linked on my
profile so if you just go to my profile, you'll see right
underneath my bio, um, the baritoners community, we're going to be utilizing that for this upcoming
team battle royale. And we're paying attention to who bull posts, bear posts. Yeah. Baritone.
So if you're not already in that Twitter community, here is your call to
action to do so. I feel like that's probably a good segue into actually talking a little bit
about what we've got cooking. I know that you guys have probably already seen the information
about the Team Battle Royale. This is this is a really what i think super fun
community initiative to basically make uh getting guaranteed whitelist for baritoners a fun and
engaging uh thing rather than just like you know just another raffle or something. So to give you the TLDR on this
team battle royale, there are two teams, team Tony and team Tina. Tony Barra, of course,
is the beloved, original, and iconic mascot of Baritone. But for this team battle royale, we actually introduced the second
official baritone mascot, Tina Barra, who is Tony's little sister. So the cool thing about this,
by the way, is Tony Barra and Tina Barra are the two different model types you're going to be seeing in our
upcoming collection. We're referring to these body types as Tony is OG and Tina is Chibi.
So whether you're a fan of the Tony model or the Tina model, there's gonna be plenty in varying aesthetic styles to choose from.
I personally love the Chibi model.
That's the model that my VTuber is made in
and it's just so cute.
So I wanna know what your fav is.
And maybe that is indicative
of whether you're choosing Team Tina or Team Tony.
But that being said,
if you haven't chosen your team yet, you have to make sure to do that. You only get one chance,
one choice, so choose wisely. And the way you do that is by going to our Discord.
There's a channel called Choose Teams under the Baritoners HQ category.
You're going to react with the emoji to assign yourself either the Team Tony or the Team Tina
role. Once you have that role, that's going to open a team-gated chat so you can make new friends and strategize and collaborate because once the games begin
one team is gonna win a team gated giveaway for guaranteed whitelist so it definitely gives you
incentive to work together to get the job done to give you a little bit of insight into what to expect in this team battle royale,
you will see some materials come out as this week progresses on basically what I'm going to be
saying now. So if you're a visual learner, don't worry, I am too. And I've got you. I will put this in a visual format. But to give you guys the first look into
this alpha, we're going to be using a series of metrics. For example, joining our Twitter community
is a one-time point allocation for your team. Posting memes, creating fan art, generally like
bear posting on the timeline, and participating in upcoming community contests and community game
days are all ways to earn points for your team. They're not an exhaustive list of ways, but those are the main
types of earning points you can expect. And so the reason why it's so important to choose your
team in our Discord is you will be submitting your memes, your fan arts, your tweets, etc. in your team chat.
And that's how we're going to track the points for each team.
Okay, so hopefully that was a comprehensive but not overwhelming info dump.
And again, don't worry, I'm going to put all of this in a visual format
so you can go back and read it if you'd like. Plus, this space is recorded, so you can always
listen back to this as well if you'd like. I feel like it's not fair for me to outright choose a
team because I feel like the team mom, how am I supposed to choose a team because you know I feel like that I feel like the team mom you know how am I supposed
to choose like a favorite kid but I don't know I I have just soft spots for both Tony and Tina
Pixel I think last week you were uh pretty adamantly aligned with team Tony is that still accurate? Yeah, I'm on the Tony Nation.
Tony heads.
We already know we're going to win.
He's choosing a favorite kid.
He's in your face with it, too.
He's like, maybe if you were better.
I think, I don't know, Tony Nation, yeah, it's very strong so far.
But Tina has got quite a lot of passion
behind it as well. It's really fun, like, being on the, you know, on this, like, overlook, because
I can kind of see how both teams are going. So that part has, like, been really fun for me to
just watch and see you guys like start to come together
I love it um so yeah the team battle royale is gonna be kicking off um with some events and
initiatives next week so we've got a lot going on next week we've got the Team Battle Royale kicking off and of course our first private
playtest, which I feel like was kind of a natural segue to start talking about that.
I don't know how I do it. I really just like start yapping and I figure out my way as I go.
We love that for me. So playtest, um, is there anything that you want to talk about regarding the playtest before I just info dump some more, Pixel?
You know, it's the first time any of the community outside the team is getting a chance to play the game.
It is a small contained area of the game featuring some of the base systems.
Not every system.
So it's a contained experience meant to give you a sense of the quality bar
that we're trying to hit, the amount of polish.
But it is not an indicator of the quantity of content that you're playing. So this is like a, you know,
a glimpse into what you can expect quality wise.
So I'm excited to like continue releasing other play tests in the future that
have more things to do.
This is mainly a network test for us to stress test the back end, make sure that
everything works properly, and reward people that choose to participate and do all of the things
that are in this demo. That being said, there's, you know, a couple hours worth of quests and
activities to do. So I think that's still very exciting. And yeah.
Yeah, I'm, I'm like, I'm keep thinking about being in a VC with a bunch of our bears and just like,
oh my god, we're gonna have so much fun. Like our community game days and our community movie nights are already just like a whole entire barrel and a half of good vibes and good times.
So I think especially when it's literally playing baritone, the vibes are just going to be even more fun.
And I'm so excited for it.
And I'm excited to hear your guys' reactions to seeing everything.
Our devs are already hard at work now on the second phase playtest,
now that they've finished this first one.
So in case you're not already aware of how this is going to roll out,
we will have multiple phases of play testing um our play to
earn campaign does begin with this first one so again obviously being a sailcloth holder just
gives you an edge because you guys were our first supporters and we love you guys so of course we're
gonna do everything we can to show you our appreciation for believing in us and sticking with us through this development phase.
Our second phase play test will include more opportunity to join in. It's not going to be gated exclusively to the sailcloth holders.
It's not going to be gated exclusively to the sailcloth holders.
So if you haven't been able to pick yourself up a sailcloth, don't worry.
The second phase playtest does have an opportunity for you to join in as well.
I mean, I suppose in that case, it does make a whole lot more sense to hold a baritone or
It's probably nothing though.
So yeah, I'm not gonna lie like i i'm so
excited like about all of the stuff that we're working on for the future like it's so hard to
keep quiet about it though you know because like we have we're gonna we're gonna start you off with
the first play test but like i see what the devs are already working on as the game continues to be
developed and I just I want to spill the beans so bad but that is for another wide barrel wind space
I can't spill all the beans just yet we got a drip feed you you know um well let me give some
context there because it's like game dev is not a very linear thing.
You know, it's not like we can just be working on something and then say, okay, this is a
good place to like release it as a demo.
It's like, you kind of have to pivot into a direction where you have a lot of these
gameplay features working, things like fishing and bug catching and riding on the boat and all of these things and
then all of a sudden we decide on a timeline like okay let's release a demo so that people can play
it uh it takes a lot of development efforts to take something that's large and work in progress
and package it up in a way that people can play it and that people can log in with their wallets
and that it's a nice polished experience.
So there's a ton of things that didn't really make
the cutting room floor for this first playtest.
But that just means subsequent playtests in the future,
like I was saying, just have a ton of features
that we really, really wanted to include
in the first playtest that just aren't quite there yet.
So that's what I mean when I say this is a good indicator of the quality we're shooting for because we didn't want to include anything in this play test that isn't presentable
to you guys you know i don't know if you've ever seen um footage of any games that are like
pre-alpha and they're very rough like we have a lot of features that are being worked on
that are not quite ready for the public to see. So it's great for us to be able to like package
something up that lets you guys chew on a little bit of baritone while we continue to cook in the
background and get all the rest of the features up to the same level of quality.
Yeah, I think that's like, honestly, one of the things that I appreciate being a part of this team the most
is that there really is like that prioritization of quality and commitment to just like the player experience means that, you know, like, obviously, we've been working on getting you this first play test for quite a while now.
And you guys have been so patient and awesome waiting for it.
And as a lifelong gamer myself, I've always been of the mind of like, yes, of course course that makes sense because i don't know about y'all but i've had quite a few
experiences where a title i'm looking forward to so much comes out i'm there day one picking up my
pre-order i get it installed i start to play and it's just like a letdown in terms of just like how
buggy it is and how i don't know incomplete it feels you know i feel like the gaming industry
and how, I don't know, incomplete it feels.
You know, I feel like the gaming industry,
sometimes with the big, big players,
EA, I'm looking at you,
would sometimes prioritize hitting a release date
over feeling like they're releasing
a truly polished product.
So yeah, like seeing the playtest evolve over time has been one of like the highlights of my experience with Baritone.
Like every time we had a team playtest, just like seeing how much more polished, how much more there was, like how it was coming together was like just so exciting for me to see develop live so yeah hopefully if you're a lifelong gamer
which I'm sure a lot of you are gamers after all you're here supporting you know what I think is
easily going to be the cutest coolest game on Barachain you guys probably understand that and
we appreciate that you do so I think it'll pay off once you finally
get to experience it for sure well you touch on kind of something that's tragic with traditional
game development where it's like I'm a team making a game I have my staff of you know five to ten
people is still a really small team to make a game and I got to pay all their salaries.
So let me find a publisher or some kind of funding source to make this game. Okay, they'll give us a couple hundred thousand dollars that buys us a year to make the game.
So you got to do whatever you can in that year and be hitting milestones that are defined by
the publisher all along the way to get get the next check and at the end of
the day it's like you never have as much time as you want to to polish up the project you know i
think making games is such a difficult task to do and especially to like make them fun and enjoyable
like most games that people put out are somebody's passion project and it's not like you want to put
out a bad game ever you know especially if your name is attached to it.
It's just the nature of deadlines and the nature of your monthly burn rate and like how all these different factors play into it.
And at the end of the day, it's like, okay, we're out of money.
The game isn't as good as we wanted it to be.
What are your options?
You either cancel it or you put out something that's subpar or you're a
company like Nintendo that has billions in the bank and can just continue to
polish things up until they're really ready.
Bear chain has already seen a few examples of people being like, Hey,
it turns out we ran out of money.
So rest assured that assured, that's not
going to be baritone. I think when some of that stuff first happened, I saw people like on the
timeline like, hey, baritone, can you confirm that this isn't you? And don't worry, that's not us.
We've actually been, this is now it's old news, course but our um seed round of fundraising was just like
a massive success and so we've been really fortunate to have the backing of so many big
names and like you know um build a barra incubator in general as well so I I definitely think that that is giving us like the edge that baritone is gonna
need to like really be a game that's not only fun for all of us bears to play but for regular web 2
gamers as well so I think like in my experience I haven't tried all of them mind you but a lot of
the web 3 games that I have tried throughout my time in crypto
have been like fun enough for a while um or just kind of like not a lot of fun period but uh i i
think like this game is gonna be like that opportunity to bridge web 2 and web 3 gamers
and hopefully get rid of a little bit of
that sour taste in the mouth that um some web two people still have regarding crypto and what it is
and oh it's all a scam etc so yeah i think uh for that reason for those reasons um baritone definitely has a lot of good behind it you know
yeah i mean most of our team is uh web 2 game developers we come from the web 2 game dev space
indie developers and um we're working for bigger companies so um you know there's been kind of a
lot of drama in just baruchain space in general.
And, you know, I keep up with everything that's going on with Baruchain. And it's interesting to
me how, like, in the Baruchain space, you know, one project or one person does or says something
that has these, like, massive ripple effects throughout the community. And in my mind, it's like, dude, step outside of this bear chain bubble and realize that
like, if you tried to explain this to an average person, like what's going on with this bear chain
drama, they would have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. So I always just try to
like keep one foot in the bubble and one foot in the real world and
make sure that we're building something that you don't have to be super entrenched into this bubble
to appreciate, you know? Yeah, I think, you know, being like just like in these trenches,
in the space, like full time, like, over time, I've just kind of stopped putting a lot of effort
into keeping up with the drama. Because, like, on one hand, I get it, you know, like, people's
money and livelihoods are, like, on the line. But also, I don't know, I'm just such a silly maxer
that I'm like, you guys, we guys we're in like the most ridiculous and like
pioneering industry to ever exist like we should be having so much fun here because it is just like
like pixel said if you like step back into the real world and like look in you're it's just like
I don't know a lot of it is just kind of silly so I think uh it's all good you know passive entertainment but yeah that's why
I've been like putting out like icy ASMR videos the past few days to just kind of try to remind
everyone like life is beautiful and so are you and so am I and so is life so you should be having
fun and taking care of yourself and just like keep working hard. And that's definitely what Baritone team has been doing.
Like regardless of like market conditions, like when we're up, cool, when we're down, whatever, we're just like still building this whole time.
I think that's another thing is like definitely, you know, within like your experience in crypto, just pay attention to like who's building
regardless of market conditions for sure.
Yeah, you mentioned like when people are,
you know, other gaming projects rugging
or people getting upset about like people
that got large RFA allocations
and then just like dipping or running out of money.
And then they lump us in with these other projects
that are doing kind of shady things.
And they're like, well, Baritone,
like what is your monthly burn rate
or how much did you earn from RF?
And it's like, dude,
all we care about is like taking care of our community
and our sale call holders
and delivering a quality product
that can like stand at the test of time
and justify users engaging with it all the
time and not be something that is super value extractive like we want to give value to you
in in the form of like having something fun to play in the form of rewarding you
for engaging with the product in certain ways.
Yeah, so I hope that everything we communicate
and all the things that we deliver with products coming up really soon
with the demo and with the NFTs,
that the value we're trying to bring to you as a parent and we're not trying to really be
extractive and that again we're just trying to build trust with people that believe in us
and people that are outside of the community too I think because that's what it's all about I think
trust goes the longest when you're like building generally but I think especially when you're
like building in crypto so yeah and if you guys ever have like questions or you just want to come
and hang out and vibe like I basically live in our community. I know, Kitty, it's quite alarming. One of our beloved baritone helpers, Amon, spilled tea on himself the other day, and he experienced quite a nasty burn. So Aman, I hope that that's feeling
better for you today. And yeah, if any of you ever do just want to come in and let me know how your
day is going, whether that's good or bad, I'm here for you. I think with the timing of the space,
we'll open it up now to community AMA. So if you have any specific questions or if you just want to come up and like say a comment that's on your mind or, you know, even tell us whether you're Team Tina or Team Tony, who represents the strongest?
Feel free to request to speak.
Or likewise, if you don't like to speak that's okay too you can put your
questions in the barricade chat i've got my eyes there as well um i'll start off actually
g harrison asked anything interesting on barry eye tone front so we did, of course, announce our partnership with Hologram and they do a lot of really, really cool stuff.
So, Pixel, do you want to like talk about that at all or do you want to keep it just like some fun, vague alpha to keep them guessing for a while?
Well, I can talk about it generally, just kind of some things that we're experimenting with AI gameplay wise. I think like AI NPC dialogues is something that people are starting to incorporate a lot into certain games. That's something we're experimenting with. It's not something you'll see in the playtest. The playtest is all bespoke dialogues written by me.
But in the future, you know, having NPCs that react accordingly
to things that you've done in the game world
is something we're looking at.
I think something to consider with, like, an online multiplayer game
is, like, all of your NPCcs that you're seeing in your game icy
are kind of unique to your experience even though there's characters that are like like we'll both
see elder barra but maybe you've done more quests that involve elder bear than i have
so the npcs and baritone are instanced per player um so that if you know you do a quest with Elder Barra
and then he walks back to the village,
I'm not really seeing that on my end
because I haven't done that quest. I'm still
seeing him in the old location.
So I think
that's pretty cool.
And then we're looking at some things involving
an AI game master,
something that's pretty common in online games is like
daily activities that you get rewarded for, you know, like your daily quest for today is to go
find, you know, five nuts, for example, or five mushrooms. And something kind of cool that we're using AI for is really analyzing like marketplace activity and player
activity, meaning like how many players are finding this type of mushroom or how many players
are finding this type of fruit. And if there's a resource that's kind of neglected, like say
nobody's really been collecting these mushrooms for the past couple days, then we can use the AI Game Master to kind of automatically assign daily tasks
and point users towards resources that aren't seeing a ton of Marketplace activity
or aren't seeing a ton of gameplay interactions.
So it's a really cool way for us to balance and point players towards the activities that we kind of want
them to in order to balance things out. Yeah, I think like I remember when we talked about it,
I was just thinking like, oh my gosh, it sounds so cool. So I'm really excited to see, you know,
what that can really look like. Because I think like there are so many really awesome applications for AI so you'll never see us
use AI to create art but we've got some really cool ideas for how to utilize AI for just like
an overall like enhanced gaming experience yeah the game master is really cool because
I can really like oversee and analyze a lot of player activity which would be really like tedious and
a lot of work to do manually so we get a lot of data
opportunities with AI which is fun presents a lot of fun like gameplay implications you know
yeah definitely um and Otis asked I think this is also a really
great thing to hit. For the Monday playtest, will it be token gated or snapshot based for those
figuring out how long you have to pick up a sailcloth? It is going to be token gated. So we
have a wallet sign in set up. It's going to detect that you have a sailcloth in your wallet and open the
gates for you to access this playtest. So if you haven't yet picked up your sailcloth and you,
after hearing like all of this really awesome news and what to look forward to, if you want
to make sure that you're getting in, especially again being that first phase of that play to earn campaign that's going to span across all of our
play test phases you have time for that so I think it's going to be a really nice thing because like
sometimes when you do snapshots it's like okay well when is the snapshot happening you know
so don't worry about that as long as you have it in your wallet at that time, you will have access to it.
Also, WWPK asked, is the kitty Team Tony?
Or is your kitty Team Tina?
Oh, he's a Tony for sure.
I think you're just influencing his decisions.
Well, yeah yeah of course also hello doc nunu happy white bearer wednesday how are you i know i see hi team how are we doing i'm good thank
you oh it's a it's a very beautiful day out i've gotten some cardio in already gonna do some sun tanning later this
afternoon so it's a it's a beautiful day yeah I'm actually surprised I see that you've not
mentioned hydration once in this space so far is that like a special for the pez and kevin barabara
you're right what like it's like what am i even doing if i'm not encouraging mass hydration
propaganda well you'll be glad to hear i'm well hydrated um i had a couple of really quick
questions about baritone um number one you've got the sailcloths and you have the baritone nft
coming out too what's the like what's the difference um in terms of
moving pieces in your ecosystem going forward other than sort of getting early beta access
with the sailcloth and also is there a passive earning option for people who don't game
great questions um okay so the sailcloth is going to come with a bunch of in-game perks. So if ever
you want to like look through that and have the visual of it, I do have it written down in our
earn roles channel to give you a quick run through. Holding the sailcloth within like the
game's actual release, it's going to give you a bunch of in-game perks, such as additional inventory space, stat upgrades, fee reductions, daily experience buffs, reduced fees for housing and relocation, and a bunch more that we haven't yet revealed. So since the Sailcloth holders were like our first and early supporters,
we're basically going to be showing them a bunch of love
in terms of like boosts within the game.
The Baritoner collection is going to act as an in-game avatar.
So that's the first like major difference between the two collections.
You're not, obviously since Baritoners isn't released for this first play test, you're just
going to play as like some default bears for this first round. But we are making like exact copies
of every trait in the collection. So whatever Baritoner you have, you hold, you'll get to play as in the game.
And then also the bear toners collection does offer some additional utility in terms of being fully rigged 3D VTubers.
So for reference, like if you've ever seen any of my videos or streams where I'm using my bear, that's being face tracked to me live.
And so we're going to include that with each NFT. You'll get to take meetings, create content, stream as your bearer. And the really cool thing
about that is that since we are partnered with hologram, they do offer arm tracking via webcam.
So typically with that sort of thing, you do need an additional separate device which can be a
little bit costly to do the arm tracking but with hologram you're actually going to be able to do
that with just a webcam so that's another really exciting part of that little piece of the pie
that I love mentioning and then we will have some additional perks for baritoners.
I don't know if we're going to talk about all of them yet
or if we're sticking to this pixel,
if you want to either expand or confirm.
Sorry, what was the question?
I'm looking through some docs
about passive stuff, like she had asked. What a king. So basically, like I've talked about
bear... Sorry, I got a call, so I don't know if that cut me out for a second.
I've talked about bear toners having the utility of being the end game avatars as well as the 3d vtuber
aspect of them and i know for instance like we've talked internally about like you know some other
little things that we can do to to show the baritoners love but wasn't sure if you want
to talk about that yet or uh kind of iron out those details more before we discuss
uh kind of iron out those details more before we discuss oh i think you did a good job the
main question was just about the difference between the sailcloth and the baritoners
uh so they're quite different um just in terms of the the form that they take you know the
sailcloth is obviously an in-game item too. Everyone will get a sailboat. So if you have a sailcloth, you get a special sail.
There's also, I mean, I'm purely speaking from like the game design perspective is a lot of the utility that we're trying to offer people that hold our NFTs.
So people like our sailcloth holders, of which there are very few, you know, there's less than a thousand sailcloths available.
there are very few you know there's less than a thousand sailcloths available um say you're
sailing on the ocean with a founder sailcloth there's uh a mechanic that we're working on
where you kind of auto fish as you're sailing only for sailcloth holders and the fish that
you're finding are exclusive to people that hold the sale cloth.
Like you can't even fish them up regularly if you don't have a sale cloth.
That's a fish that only appears for people that hold the sale cloth.
So talking about like passive ways to make money without really playing the game,
if you're just a market speculator,
then you're able to kind of just play the baritone marketplace if you want to and trade assets on there.
Because every asset that's going to be traded on the baritone marketplace has value in the form of the fact that it took real gameplay hours to acquire these items.
And some have a lot of in-game utility more than others based on how much effort it took to acquire them.
So if you want to just play the marketplace
and sit at the market boards all day without actually playing the game,
that's not exactly passive because you have to pay attention
and buy and sell things manually.
We haven't talked much about our own token
and what that means for the economy yet.
But there will be some passive ways to earn boosted yields
with our token as well.
Thank you for those detailed answers.
I have a couple more questions, I'm afraid.
So I was reading about Beretta a few days back,
and my understanding is that this game is going to be playable by everyone.
You don't have to be an NFT holder, is that correct?
Yes, 100%.
Yeah, and is that on a mobile app, or is it a PC game?
Yeah, we're developing the PC and mobile versions in tandem. So it will be PC, mobile, looking into storefronts like Steam and Epic. They kind of have some evolving rules when it comes to crypto games. Some kind of take workarounds in order to get their games on those marketplaces.
Yeah, we're developing the PC and mobile versions in tandem.
games on those marketplaces.
But primarily PC handhelds,
we're partnered with the Joy handheld device as well.
So like having, I mean,
I think a problem we see with blockchain gaming
is where NFT holders do have like an unfair advantage to
uh i guess let's call it farming farming the token or whatever so with regards to like the
sailcloth and the baritone as it doesn't directly give you multipliers or anything on your earnings
but you do get assets that make earning easier is that right uh not particularly um it's the financial aspects in baritone we like to call it kind of
pay to flex so everyone's kind of on a level playing field when it comes to like farming
resources within the game and then using those resources to craft other things um a lot of the
like exclusive collections that will sell directly on our marketplace to consumers is seasonal cosmetics.
You want a Valentine's outfit or a Christmas outfit or Christmas decorations for your farmstead.
And there's secondary value on the marketplace because those are limited or only available for a limited time and limited quantity.
But as far as playing the I, I'm with you.
I understand that we're not, it's,
it's not a good thing to give people an unfair advantage,
especially when there's earning money involved.
So I think that's one thing that's great about, you know,
we mentioned the AI game master kind of being able to analyze like what
people are doing and what we
want them to do and how we um reward people for those things so we're looking into like leader
boards and uh rewarding kind of people that engage with the game more so than people that just spend
money on the game so uh farming contests or farming seasonal leaderboards, meaning like, hey, I grew the most of this certain crop this last season.
We reward you for that. Or I made top 10 biggest pumpkins grown of the season.
Those are the types of activities we want to reward and not really.
Steering away from pay to win, I guess, is the best way to put it so that's a great question
i hope that answers it for you yeah it does thank you i mean that sounds great because it kind of
gives um ongoing incentive to play the game and you know not just like oh here you go here's your
drop for farming um but yeah two more questions sorry um so i'll give you them both and i'll go mute
so the first one is i read obviously that there was a relation of some sort to pixel bears which
is obviously a rebase and i'm like really interested in the rebases because obviously
they're deeply embedded in barotane history and the second so i just wanted to know what that
connection was was it just yourself
being the artist on both of them,
or is there a deeper connection
with the Pixel Bears supporting baritone?
And the second question is that obviously
baritone is mainly about P.O.L.
And I think you briefly touched upon this already
that you haven't really released that information,
but where does P.O.L POL play a part in baritone?
Good questions.
Yes, I am the artist of the BitBears.
Baritone started out as a pixel game with the BitBears
as the actual bears that you're playing as.
We've evolved a bit. Obviously, our art style is not pixelated anymore that's the main connection and being
like officially backed by baritone or bear chain foundation we obviously want
to like give something cool for people that hold the bit bears or the other rebases a lot of ways to do that
looking into like a playable pixel avatar for people that hold the bit bears with something
because we already have those animations made from the old version of baritone
so i think giving people like a skin to wear that's pixelated would be really cool because
if there's a bunch of people running around,
there's not going to be many people using the pixel.
It'll kind of be like paper Mario, you know,
where it's like a 2d sprite in a 3d world,
which I think is cool.
Proof of liquidity. That's a great question.
We are still designing kind of the tokenomics and the functions of our token
and how that plays into
proof of liquidity i think um i mean i'm trying to find some documents that go into this gives
pardon me one moment while i look into this i'm glad that he is such a big brain because sometimes I'm just like, I don't know. I'm literally just a girl.
That's what you get when you have a co-founder that's on top of shit.
It's really refreshing to speak to a team who actually know answers to
questions.
Like you'd be surprised in the last four years,
I've jumped on so many AMAs questioning teams about their product and like,
they just don't have answers. So it's good to hear that you guys know your project and product well well to be
fair I am the the creative director on the project I am not the token designer nor am I like very web
3 native so I sit in with the conversations when we're talking about like the token design and the financial design of it.
Cause I want to make sure it makes sense for the game that we're designing.
But a lot of the times they're talking about things that I frankly just don't
really understand if I'm being honest.
But I do have some notes and stuff.
So give me one second.
Basically.
Our strategy is built around liquidity like incentivizing liquidity
pumping liquidity into the project another note I have here is that trying to create a high TVL
to maximize BGT emissions for people again these are kind of vague bullet points.
But I think the, the, the important thing is, uh, when it comes to our token, having, uh, more opportunities to spend it and use it versus opportunities to earn it. If that makes sense.
We don't want to just give out way more tokens than there are to
spend that's um you know we want to make sure we're like offering fun things for you to use
your tokens on and stake them and get rewards that way i hope that makes sense again i'm not
yeah no that's great thank you so much um i think that was all my questions
um i really appreciate your answers thank you yeah you have a lot of really great questions
so thank you for coming up and like chit-chatting with us a bit these are great we got to make sure
we have g on one of these future spaces to kind of go into more detail about token specifics
yeah because i feel like i'm not the best at really describing any of this stuff.
So, but I appreciate the questions. G honey is our other co-founder and he's the web three guy.
He's the big brain with like the crypto stuff. So I'll get him on one of these, one of these times.
And, uh, that way, you know, we can get, uh, deeper dives into these questions, which I think
is, uh, really helpful for the community. So thank you for asking them.
I appreciate it. Thank you. Stay hydrated. Stay hydrated. Yes. I actually just finished my water like after we talked about that. So I am consuming water and I hope you are too.
Slow Gold, it's great to see you up here as well. How are you today?
Slow Gold, it's great to see you up here as well. How are you today?
Hey, Pixel. I see. You guys hear me?
You're a little quiet, but I can hear you.
All right. Well, I requested up, but Dr. Nunu asked a bunch of the questions that I was going
to ask, so good on her. I'll throw one other random one,
I suppose. You mentioned a marketplace that would have various in-game assets, but I'm
wondering if those end up getting transferred into on-chain assets as well, like some other
games tend to do. Not necessary but you know could be a
thing uh can you explain what you mean by that i think i think what you're asking is are the items
on our marketplace going to be on chain assets yeah in effect i'm trying to think of an example like, well, like Wizwood's just started
porting their game onto Verachain, and so they have like their little
Wizards, and I think they even moved a bunch of their little, they have items that you can use
for crafting things. They moved a lot of that to where you can bring it on chain
and then you can buy and sell on Verachain
or just hold it on Verachain
versus you can then also move it onto the game itself
which then it's sort of, you just own it in your game instance,
I suppose, but it's not really something you're trading around.
Although you could be trading in-game too, so you could have trading either in-game or on-chain.
Yeah, I mean, that's kind of what we're trying to decide is like which items really warrant
being on-chain and which ones can we just keep in game
all of them will be compatible with the marketplace so our marketplace is very
cool you can sell things for in game currency or
any kind of crypto token
so I think
the last discussion that we had kind of about tokenization stuff was just
trying to figure out like which items in game would be on chain tradable assets because i don't
know if it necessarily makes sense to have a branch that you find from a tree you know nft
if i'm that and having that take up space in your wallet.
So I think we're trying to kind of reserve it
towards like the rarer, more high value things.
Hope that answers your question.
That does.
Otherwise, again, Dr. Nguyen answered
or asked a bunch of the ones that i wanted to ask so
you guys already got to them thanks for having me up i'll throw out team tina and uh you guys
have a good day thanks for the question appreciate it man team tina represent
thank you for yeah coming up um i think we're around the hour mark. So that's like honestly perfect timing.
I think we'll wrap it up there.
It doesn't seem like there's any more trickle of questions.
If any questions do come to mind, always feel free to hit me up in the Discord.
And as well, we will have our Wide Barrow Wind Space next week too.
We'll have our Wide Barrow Wind Space next week too.
