Hello, NBM. I'm doing a little bit of finessing right now. Okay, let me see if this is going to work.
Okay, perfect.
So we're going to give everyone just a moment or two to settle in.
Make sure you're feeling widely comfortable, have your water handy.
And I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to give you guys a little bit of a sneak peek.
It is, after all, the widest day of the week.
So why not celebrate that with an inside look?
at Wide Barra's official theme song.
I'm going to be.
I'm going to
I'm going to
I'm going to do.
I'm going to
I'm going to
Wow, what a great song.
Every time I hear that, I just feel so boisterous and lively.
I hope you enjoyed it too.
Hit me with that emoji react to tell me what you think of that.
I wish there was a wide emoji.
Elon, can you please do something?
But aside from that, hello, NBM, everyone.
Happy Wide Barrow Wednesday, and welcome to the Wide Barrow Win Space.
We have with us, yours truly, and Pixel Barra, one of the co-founders and the creative director of Baratone.
Pixel, how are you today?
Very wide, icy. Thank you for having me, as always.
Of course. It wouldn't be a wide Barra Wednesday without one of the core people who made Wide Barra
a cultural phenomenon that he is. So happy to have you here. It was actually quite funny because
last week's space was a little, got a little off rails there at the end. I was just about to drop
some really juicy alpha and my internet cuts out and ends the space. So to anyone who was here last
week, if you have seen me in Denver,
And then, of course, we all know what happened after that.
So let me run through briefly what I envision for this space to be.
I'll drop a couple of quick updates.
And then we can go into widening TF up.
So, first of all, these spaces will be recurring weekly spaces on the widest day of the week, Wednesdays.
And these spaces act as a central hub for all things baritone.
You'll see in future weeks will have guest appearances from other notable beres.
We'll have community members that if you want to come up and chit chat too, you're more than welcome.
This is a place where you can ask any questions or otherwise get to Kiki with the baritoners.
And generally, of course, also be a space where you can hear the latest updates and alpha drops from the team themselves.
Okay, now what was next? Oh, yes. Quick updates. So we are getting busier and busier as time goes. We have, as I'm sure you may already know, a lot of really awesome things right around the corner to release to you. And on top of that, you'll start to see me and sometimes Pixel making guest appearances in more and more spaces and AMAs.
So that being said, this week we do have a few more to look forward to. We have an AMA tomorrow with Wiz Woods and some of the notable bearers of Bear Chain, including Ella, Smokey, and I think Barra Rodman is also going to be there.
That is tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon, depending on where in the world you are.
If you want to reserve your reminders for that, make sure, actually, you know, I think did I, I may have retweeted it for, yeah, I just did.
I just retweeted it from the Baritone account.
So I'll go ahead and pin that to the space.
It should be a really, really fun and engaging discussion.
And as always, it's really great to share a stage with so many of Barra Chain's head honchos.
And then beyond that, we have another AMA tomorrow, actually.
This one is partnered up with Joy.
If you are not yet familiar with Joy, you have so much to look forward to because they are an incredible project, building an incredible product.
They are creating the handheld gaming console.
for Bear Chain and beyond.
So if you've ever thought to yourself,
wow, I can't wait for Baritone to come out,
but I wish I could play it when I was laying in bed
as I would a Nintendo Switch.
Well, guess what, besties?
That's what Joy is going to be.
We are hosting an AMA with them in our Discord.
And word on the street is we're giving away
some tricks and treats during that AMA,
including...
OG rolls in the Joy Discord and Baratoner Guaranteed White List Spots.
Yes, very exciting.
So if you would like to join in either of those,
check out our announcement channel in our Discord.
I have dropped information on all of them.
And if you'd like to come through for game day, movie night, or poker as usual,
we do have plenty of opportunities to connect and have fun with the other baritoners.
So check out the community events tab for that.
I know I said quick updates, but I feel like that was kind of still a mouthful.
You know how I'd just be yapping.
Hi, welcome.
Actually, the space that we did with, holy moly, who was it?
Who did we just do that space with?
Joy, day, yeah.
Gosh, I literally, like, I'm running through my head because we have a space next week with Nara,
and we have a space coming up with Goldilocks.
I'm telling you guys, like, I am going on the space circuit for Baritone.
So you're going to see me yapping in a lot more spaces here coming up.
But that space was actually really, really fun.
We were joined with some friends from Bola, Kodiak, IVX, Bacc.
Bastion and Eden as well, I think I got everyone included in that. And that was a very lovely
discussion. Pixel and I talked a little bit about gaming and our love of health maxi skincare routines.
So if you missed out, I don't know if they recorded it, but if they did, that's a fun space to
talk about. They even asked Pixel about the market and he gave a much more knowledgeable answer
than I would have, which we love to talk.
I don't know about that, but thank you.
I was low-key kind of worried that they would be like,
I see, what are your thoughts on the market?
Because I'd have to hit him with the old,
I'm literally just a girl.
I was going to pass it to you.
Like, you know, I don't know much about the market,
but I'll pass it to I. See, she does.
And then I would have had to be like,
sometimes number go up,
sometimes number go down, you know?
And that's just the state of things.
Which is typically what, like, the extent of my market analysis entails.
So I'm glad you didn't pass it to me because I definitely would have said something like that.
And you sounded a lot more big brain than I did.
Generally speaking, we have so much around the corner.
I have been working like a dog all day on Baritone.
I'm so excited for these things to, like, finally be getting ready to roll out.
Pixel, you've been working like a dog all day on Baritone, too.
Do you want to, like, drop some alpha about what you've been working on,
or do you want to keep it more vague?
I mean, I'm working right now just on some menial tasks.
But, yeah, my work these days entails checking in on all of the different things
disciplines within our dev team.
So check-ins with the art department,
check-ins with the music department,
check-ins with the tech department.
You happen with IC about marketing,
talking with G and our other economists
about financialization and token stuff.
So it's fun.
I feel like I get pulled in a lot of different directions
throughout the day, so I'm trying to, you know,
find the balance where I can lock in on something
Right now I'm just working on some texture recolors for our NFT collection, making sure we got a lot of fun traits and that the colors are nice and cohesive.
I'm really excited to start dropping some sneak geeks of that collection because...
When I tell y'all, they look so cute.
Oh my gosh, we have some really talented 3D artists on our team dedicated to building out all of the traits for this upcoming collection.
And every time we have updates from them and they drop all of the traits that they've been building, I just like, I don't think I could possibly pick.
Just like one favorite top or one favorite hat or one favorite glasses because there's so many super, super cute ones.
And something I do appreciate that I think you all are going to appreciate as well is that we have made sure to have traits with lots of different stylistic aesthetics.
So I know, I know you might be thinking, but I see, you're a kawai-coated girl.
Like, how can I trust your judgment if all you like are cutesy things?
And to that, I say, well, of course I like the kutzy things the most.
That's just, like, branding.
But there is lots of options for the less kawai-coded beras out there.
One of my personal favorites, I think this will be okay to drop some alpha on as being a trait.
One of my personal favorites is the pit vipers.
They look so mong-coated.
So I'm really excited for that one.
But yeah, there's lots of different traits.
And like Pixel said, he actually has been working really hard on getting color palettes.
So across all sorts of different traits, like you are going to see a lot of cohesiveness in the design of it.
So regardless of which baritoneer you meant, guaranteed it will look really good, even if it's not your personal style.
But don't worry, regardless of what your personal style is, there will be a baritoner out there for you.
I love the ding sound of me.
That was nice.
Thank you.
I'm a huge fan of timing the soundboard.
So sometimes, like, in my Ber-A-Barre spaces with Janie, I, like, kind of lay off a little bit because I'm like, well, I don't want to, I don't want to, like...
bother Janney or searchy with them, but sometimes I can't help it. I mean, like, honestly,
side note, but one of the funniest soundboard sounds is like anytime you hear someone just
give like an absolutely horrendous take hitting them with the is hilarious, objectively.
But yeah, um, so of course, I'm sure you all,
No, the Baratoners Collection is up and coming.
You'll start to see some giveaways with our eco friends.
We also have some other little surprises that we're working on unveiling in terms of
collaborations with the Baratoners Collection.
So stay tuned for even more ways to score your whitelist.
As a friendly reminder as well.
All of our founder's sailcloth holders will be receiving a free baritoneer.
And that is stackable.
So if you hold 10 sailcloths like an absolute diamond pod chad, that does mean you will receive 10 free baritoners.
We also have some other surprises in terms of a couple more...
free opportunities, you'll have to stay tuned for that.
And then, of course, we are working away at distributing a lot of these guaranteed and
first come first serve white list spots.
That's still the date, like the mint date is still TBA.
So don't worry.
You do have, you know, some time to mentally prepare yourself for the cutest NFT collection
you'll ever see in your life.
And you do want to mentally prepare because holy guacamole, it's so cute.
And beyond that, the soonest thing we have, of course, is our first private playtest.
So all of our founder's silk cloth holders, you are so, so, so, so close to getting to play for the first time outside of the dev team, Baritone's first play.
demo. This has been in the works for quite some time. Our community has been patiently awaiting
the arrival of this first playtest and we are beyond thrilled to almost be at the point where we
can share that with all of you. And of course, have game days in our Discord so we can all
experience it together. We love the sense of community. Was there any like
Alpha or anything you wanted to talk generally about that this week, Pixel.
I know we did talk about it last week.
So could be something you wanted to add in, could not be, and that would be very understandable as well.
I think something that's really exciting is that demo is done.
We are just working on kind of the login flow, making sure that only people that have a sale claw
are able to access it.
Takes a little bit of finessing.
We had a login flow before, and it was,
let's just say it didn't really translate very well
to like wallet integration, so we kind of had to start from scratch there.
But as soon as that is all up and running, it's go time,
which should be very soon.
I know, I feel like we've been saying soon forever,
but I think like that's bullish because the demo's done.
So sit tight.
Thank you all for your patience.
I love saying soon with like the trademark emoji.
If you've ever been a part of a community that I manage, then you know.
I am a menace with answering soon when people ask when.
Because soon is a magical word.
It could mean in an hour, in a week, in a month.
who knows i do but you don't and that's the point um but yeah we actually do mean very very
soon like for real for real no cap no kizzi for the playtest and not only do we have the playtest
and the baritoneers nfti collection coming up which first of all i want to talk a little bit more
about but i'll finish this thought before i go rambling off in another direction
What I had started to talk about last week before my internet cut out and I was so rudely interrupted by lack of stable connection was for anyone who did see me in Denver, you know that I had my Tony Bearer plushy with me.
everyone everyone who saw me with my plushy like the first thing they said when they saw that plushy was oh my gosh this is so cute this is so cool and I
Everyone was just like going absolutely bananas over it, which was awesome to see because we have been internally going bananas over this plushy for quite some time.
So to get that first inside look.
into the plushy and it was so well received. It was like super, super exciting and really affirmed that
our hard work in developing this as a very cute, desirable plushy was worth all of the efforts.
I did just pin to the JumboTron a post of mine where I posted the Tony Plushy in Denver.
One of the things that I'm most excited for with this plushy is that it does include a plushy skeleton,
meaning you can pose his little arms and legs however you want.
So you can have him sit, stand, you can, like, how I did in the photo with the Henlo patch, you can prop things in his arms,
you can have him, you know, waving.
So the options are so endless with this plushy.
This will be available very soon.
on our baritone marketplace, which is another very, very exciting update that we briefly spilled
some of the tea on during our joy space earlier. This marketplace, first of all, it looks beautiful.
Our team has worked hard on creating a very baritone-esque UI, and it's just...
It is so pretty.
If you've ever explored our website, you'll kind of get a sense for just what to expect in terms of the quality of the visual experience you're going to have there.
And we've also put a lot of work into the back end experience as well.
So in terms of just like the features offered in the marketplace, this is going to be a marketplace that will have both digital and physical information.
options available for purchase. Obviously, the baritone game will have a robust in-game marketplace,
like lots of in-game items. Our baritoners NFT project will also be available on our marketplace,
as well as our physical merch, starting with the plushies. So that's going to be unveiled here
very, very soon as well.
Alongside, of course, as I mentioned, with the plushies.
And we do have plans, by the way, of doing more plushies and more merch down the road for sure.
But I think this Tony Barra plushy is going to be a really good first step into getting Baratone into your hands physically.
Pixel, was there any yaps that you wanted to add to my yap about Marketplace Plushies?
Yeah, I think it's worth mentioning that it's this first run of plushies is a quite small quantity.
So if you want one, you know, it's worth scooping up really quickly.
The cool thing about our marketplace is that things like physical objects can be purchased with crypto or even with like in-game currency.
So you can, you know, play the game and earn some currency in-game and spend the money that you earn in-game on our marketplace on a couple things.
We're not sure if we'll do the plushies for in-game currency, but we have the ability to.
So we could offer, like, physical items or NFTs or really anything on our marketplace in-game currency or crypto or just via credit card, USD, however you really want to do it, which I think is really cool.
The marketplace is like really closely integrated into the game.
So one thing that is kind of cool is being able to,
gate certain things within the game to people that hold a certain
NFT or something.
So the first,
easiest example of that is the demo being accessible to people that hold
the founder sale cloth.
after these baritone or NFTs launch and you own one,
We can put something special in the game that only people that hold that NFT can see, like a special quest or something.
Or say you own a founder salecloth, we can put a quest in there for founder salecloth holders.
And vice versa, well, we can keep things on the marketplace that are gated to people that do certain quests within the game.
So we could have special equipment for sale on our marketplace.
That's only visible to you if you've done a certain quest within the game.
So gating content works both ways where we can gate certain things on the marketplace
from being seen if you've done certain in-game content,
and we can gate certain in-game content to people that have certain NFTs.
I think that's super exciting.
There's a loyalty aspect to the marketplace, too, if you are...
You know, we can set up other qualifications, like if you follow us on Twitter or have a certain role in our Discord.
We can reward you with loyalty points or have certain items on our marketplace that are only visible to you.
So you have a.
an article holder role in our Discord, we could have a special t-shirt or equipment item available
on the shop only for people that hold articles. And you know what's actually so funny about that?
For anyone who's been in our community,
Remember how, like, I've just said, oh, look at all these roles that you can earn by being active in our community.
What do they get you?
Probably nothing.
It's starting to make a little bit more sense now, huh, baritoneers?
interesting. So I think that future is honestly so exciting and it really adds this layer of
participation to the game and like within our community that, you know, I think is going to,
like the people are going to really, really love because we know Barra's love roles already,
but when those roles can offer you opportunities, um,
of, you know, special quests or special items or special experiences within the game itself,
it just, like, adds this level of prestige to being one of those community members that,
you know, has quite an impressive list of roles. So, if you haven't yet paid attention to how you can
earn roles within our community, here's, like, the official...
alpha alarm for you to maybe take a look at that Earn Rolls channel under the Start Here category
and see how you can get more involved and maybe have an opportunity at some of these
future goodies, if you will. I know Pixel just like he eats up those roles like
nobody's business. He is a fiend for roles.
Well, truly, it's like you got to catch them all if you want to experience everything that we have to offer, which I think is really fun.
Honestly, so true and real.
We actually, I did, I did just give out a couple more opinion leader roles, which is the role that you will get for making an informed thread.
your enthusiasm for Baritone. There were a couple community members that did some really,
really nice threads, like within the past week or two. So that was really awesome to see.
But whether you're an artist, a shit poster, a bull poster, or you're really, really good
at poker or among us, or you participate in our AMAs.
There are lots of ways to earn roles, as well, of course, as anytime you see us have
like holiday-specific events, such as our event around Halloween time, Christmas time, or
Valentine's. There's also roles you can earn by participating in those community contest, too.
Not just win, but participate.
So the options are truly endless in your ability to...
Truly enmesh yourself within our community and open those wide, wide doors down the road for even more opportunities.
We love to see it.
It's just rolls all the way down, basically, is what we're getting at.
I'm trying to like run through my head.
What else did I want to cover today?
Oh, we are, I will be hosting an Among Us game day if enough people come through and want to play today.
I always feel like when markets are down bad, people aren't as present.
It's always funny to me.
Like, I don't even have to check the state of the market.
It's just like how active is like the timeline and the server to indicate, you know, how well the markets are doing.
But we will have an Among Us game date.
in the next like 25-ish minutes, so basically like right after this space, if you would like to play among us with us,
the winner is eligible for winning some Bera and anyone who wins around as an imposter gets the Suss Bera role.
Speaking of ways to earn roles, crazy, how that went full circle.
And it's a very big circle because it's wide Bera Wednesday, and we still manage to find our way back.
Gotta love it.
Um, oh, okay, I know what I want to talk about.
And other than this last thing that I want to really deep dive into, if anyone has any questions, um, about baritone for one of us regarding anything wide barra related, uh, you can request to speak.
We'll have a little portion as like an AMA at the end here in case anyone does have questions.
While you are contemplating whether you do have a question to ask, let me dive a little bit further into what exactly Baratoners is.
So of course, as I'm sure you've already seen from the timeline, that is our upcoming PFPNFT project.
So, not only is it going to be a super adorable PFP for you to use as your digital identity on Twitter, Discord, Telegram, wherever else you go with a PFP, they are also...
fully rigged 3D VRMs. So if you're unfamiliar with the world of V-tubing, it's very, very huge in
like the APAC region. Think like Japan, South Korea. Like that region of the world, V-tubing is already like
taking the internet by storm, we're slowly starting to see it become more and more mainstream
in the West now as well. So that's actually a perfect opportunity for you to be ahead of that
tech curve and be ahead of that trend. So V-tubers are where you have yourself represented as you
either a 2D or a 3D character that is face tracked to be a live representation of your face, your expressions, and how you're talking and moving.
So not only are these up and coming more and more popular across streaming platforms like Twitch, Kick,
TikTok, YouTube, you can also use them for your meetings. So if you take Google Meet or Zoom calls,
but you don't want to be face-docksed in Web3, this is the perfect way for you to still feel
like a little bit more in touch with the person who you're talking with without having to face-docs.
This is huge because I myself...
As well as Pixel, we're not like, well, I guess Pixel you're like sort of doxed because you have done the presentations.
But not really face doxed online.
So this is like the perfect way for me to still feel like I can connect with all of you and retain that comfy coziness of anonymity in the Web3 space.
To give you a little bit of insight, V-tubers are traditionally...
Very, very expensive.
It's like 2D Vitubers are obviously going to be a lot cheaper, but it's because they're not as impressive looking.
3D Vitubers are easily get well into like the four-digit range if you want to commission your own custom 3D Vituber.
Hopefully that gives you a little bit of insight into baritoners as actual utility and what it gives you, what it can do for you, how you can use it.
And it's not nearly going to be anywhere near four-digit mint price.
Like, not nearly.
It's going to be like the mint price is not yet...
announced, but it's nowhere near that. That's all you got to know. It is very, very accessible.
And we are purposefully making it a very accessible price point for all of our community.
So again, this NFT is going to be a PFP like most NFT projects are, but it's also an in-game avatar.
And it is also a fully rigged 3D V-tuber for you to use in meetings, streaming, and content creation, you guys.
How insane.
Oh, and beyond that...
Holding the bear toner collection will automatically make you eligible for our second phase of play testing.
So again, first phase of play testing is only exclusively available to our founder's salecloth holders.
Our second phase of play testing, we will open up a little bit more, allow more people, more communities in,
And all of the bear toners will be invited to participate in that.
Now, why is that worth remembering?
Why is that worth paying attention to?
In case you haven't heard yet, or maybe you may have forgotten, we are doing a play-to-earn campaign.
We did get approximately 100,014, 100%.
114,000 jeez 114,000 bearer from the rf a allocation from the bearer chain foundation
and a lot of that allocation is going to be used for our play to air job campaign
so there's some extra alpha for you obviously play to play to earn implies you want to play as much
of our play testing as you can to be eligible for the most rewards
Now, the best way to do that is, of course, to be a sale cloth holder.
Because, again, this first playtest, only for our sale cloth holders.
But beyond that, that's another reason why paying attention to this baritoneer mint is very much worth your time.
So I know that that was just like an excessively large info dump of alpha.
But I hope that that makes you a little bit more excited for all of the things we've been working so hard on.
I mean, the team has truly been heads down working in silence for a long time now.
And for all of you that have been here with us throughout all of it who have believed in our team and believed in our vision...
We are so beyond excited to be able to share with you what we've been working so, so, so hard on all of this time.
So, yeah, between the playtest, the merch, the Baratoner's NFT collection, our own marketplace, there's a lot happening behind closed doors.
And I'm really, really excited for it.
I'll give, okay, just so you guys don't have to just like...
listen to me, yapp incessantly the whole time. I'll do a yap check. Pixel,
was there anything you wanted to add to the Baratona's collection or the Play to Earn campaign
or anything that I've talked about? I think you did a pretty good job summarizing everything.
And you also did a great job, emphasizing how we deeply love our community. And we appreciate you
guys tuning into these spaces and being excited about the project.
Like she said, it's something that has taken a while to take shape,
and we're finally excited to get it into your hands and get some outside opinions.
Game development is hard.
It takes a long time.
You know, the game we're making is not simple.
It's got a lot of different moving parts.
So it's been kind of a tremendous effort from everybody on the team to get us to this point.
So this is, you know, the first play test.
The primary objective for us is network stability.
You know, that's why this first phase is limited to...
Kind of a smaller amount of people are sale cloth holders.
One, we value you guys greatly and want to give you the first look at the game, of course.
Anybody that owns a sale cloth.
But we also want to make sure that we can handle a couple hundred players before we open it up to a couple thousand players and then tens of thousands of players.
Yeah, this will be great for us to stress test our network and give you guys a glimpse into a controlled environment where we're giving you a couple gameplay features.
I think the exciting thing is that after this first play test, there's a lot that we're still working on and adding for the future.
So I don't want you guys to think that like this first play test is...
representative of the final product, but it is representative of the standards we're aiming to hit with polish and quality. Does that make sense?
I think it does because, you know, as a lifelong gamer myself, like, I can't tell you how many times I've been so excited for a game launch day one.
I'm there to pick up my pre-order copy.
I pop it in, get it installed, and then it just feels unfinished.
And that...
that distinct feeling of just like deflated disappointment is not fun.
For the player, and I'm sure for the game developers themselves.
So one thing that I really value about the baritone team is our commitment to quality and our commitment to our standards.
So I think this first playtest is going to be really, really nice for our community to see
how committed to that level of polish,
that standard that we have set for ourselves
in the gameplay mechanics that we have implemented so far.
And then what I think is going to be really exciting about that even more so
is that as Pixel mentioned, subsequent play tests,
we're going to be continuing to add mechanics, areas, experiences.
And so for our community that is with us,
from the beginning of our playtesting, each playtest is going to be a very fresh and new experience for you as well.
So it's going to be really awesome just to keep the level of excitement going because we do have so many plans in place for a
Again, like layering up that gameplay experience with each playtest that we come out with.
So I think the way that we're going to be going about it is honestly going to be perfect.
And it's going to be something that's very exciting, I think, for all of our community members to experience as well.
Well said.
Also, shout out G, honey, in the audience.
If you don't already follow, first of all, if you don't already follow Pixel and myself, you should to keep in tuned with gameplay updates.
But also, shout out G. Honey, the other co-founder of Baritone.
So if you see him in the audience and you're not yet following him, smash that follow button team to stay in touch with all of us.
So if anyone does have any questions, you are more than welcome to request to speak.
and lay out your heart's innermost desires.
Otherwise, I think we will be wrapping up here.
Again, if you would like to join in for a game day
where we'll be playing Among Us,
or if you just want to hang out in VC and Kiki,
you can head over to the Baratone Discord
immediately following this space and stay connected.
These are going to be recurring each week,
So if you've had fun today, then make it a part of your schedule, your routine, and look forward to joining us next week as well.
I think on the way out, I will replay the Wide Barra theme because first of all, I love it.
It is so fire.
And for anyone who didn't hear it in the beginning, it's going to be a...
Very fun experience for you too.
So in conclusion, thank you everyone who came through today.
So many people I recognize in the audience, Candy, Julie, Empanalia, Kenjin, Zafi, I think that's how you say it.
And if it's not, let me know how you say it.
King Bernard, Shulia.
Sarks and Amman.
It's so great to see all of your names, all of your PFPs.
Thank you guys for hanging out with us.
And we hope that you, first of all, enjoy the Wide Barra theme song you're about to hear.
But also, enjoy the rest of your Wide Barra Wednesday.
Make sure you're staying hydrated.
And above all else, stay very, very wide.
Thank you.
