Folks, thank you for joining in today. I am so excited to talk about baritone. Now, before we
go right into giving you that hot juicy alpha, we gotta get that anticipation up a little bit so before
we do that i thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to start out with some more classic
barra barra vibes um as gamers i'm sure many of you knew about the nintendo direct that happened today um i did not wake up for it but
i got the tldr from pixel here who did wake up for it pixel are you uh like what are you most
excited for like was there anything that you saw in that that just like completely got you juking and jiving?
They, yeah, today was the big Nintendo Direct revealing the Switch 2 formally for the first time.
So they talked a lot about the specs,
120 hertz refresh rate, 4K output on the dock.
Very cool, which is honestly more than I was expecting.
They revealed the new Mario Kart, which, you know, after the last Mario Kart, I was kind of like,
where do they go from here? But this new one looks really cool. It's open world, so all the
tracks are connected. You can free roam and drive anywhere you want across this big, wide open world,
which I think is really cool they revealed a lot of like
social elements of the system too so they basically like built their own version of discord
for like partying up with uh your friends and chatting very cool they uh finally mentioned
hollow knight silksong which is like something that everyone's been asking about forever and every single playstation showcase or nintendo showcase and they finally just like showed it for two
seconds in a sizzle reel during this direct and it was like silksong coming 2025 that's it um so
that's very exciting for people that like elden ring uh that's coming to the Switch 2. They also announced a new game from Software,
which is basically Bloodborne, but it's not because they don't have the rights to use Bloodborne,
but it's basically Bloodborne. It's called Dusk Bloods, and that's a Switch 2 exclusive,
which I think is hilarious. They're forcing all the Elden Ring fans to buy a Nintendo Switch 2.

what else new Donkey Kong game a 3D Donkey Kong game for the first time since the N64 which looks
really cool uh enhanced versions of Switch 1 games for the Switch 2 like the Zeldas
they're doing Metroid Prime 4.
I could go on and on.
I'm a Nintendo fan.
Today was like Christmas for me.
Yeah, when we got on PC earlier,
you know, Pixel's excited.
He's like, so Icy, did you watch the Nintendo Direct?
And I was like, no.
I am a PC gamer. Sorry for your loss. Actually, no, I do own a Switch. To be fair,
I literally bought my Switch only to play Animal Crossing. Like, when I tell you guys I am a professional cozy gamer enjoyer, I mean it. So,, I actually own two switches so I can have two
Animal Crossing save files. You know, I'm just about that life. But I'm actually particularly
excited for that Mario Kart. I think the open world element of it is really neat.

So, gosh golly, do we have announcements?
If you've been active in our Discord and Telegram lately lately you've probably seen me make announcements of the announcements um I love to do that I'm not
gonna lie like you know like it's like holding a like dangling a carrot right in front of you and
I'm like guess what I've got some news, but not yet.
So good ups for all of you that have bared with me.
But today is the day where we're going to start to release some of those announcements.
You're going to see basically the entire month of April is about to be, frankly, ridiculously wide.
The team has been working really, really hard around the clock to prepare for this time,
this dawning that is now upon us. So I'm so thrilled to finally be at that point where we're going to start to show you guys like what we've been working so, so hard on. To start, do we have, actually, you know what,
before I even get into that, do me a favor, team. What I want you to do right now, if you have not yet liked this tweet of the space, throw that like in.

us baritoners, we've got a lot cooking and it's never been a better time to be a baritoner. Everyone who has been in our
community for the last year and a half, you guys literally are so early. I want to emphasize that
all of you are incredibly wise for being so early and believing in this project and believing in this team. So yeah, with that being said,
let's roll into some incredibly exciting news. First of all, give me some reacts if you are a
sailcloth holder. Do we have any sailcloth holders in the chat? Because the first piece of news that I want to give is actually
directly to all of you. Oh my gosh yay oh wait hold on we're starting to oh my gosh yes the memes
that's a wide sock. Bear with sock posted wide bar bear in a sock. I don't know if they make
socks that big. He might have to have those custom made. So our sailcloth holders. Heyo!
Guess what, you guys? The time for our first private play test is on the bearizon. You see
what I did there? The bear puns have no end. I continue to work
on my list. Don't worry. I will not fall short of the bear puns. You will see within the coming
weeks, we're talking within April, you will see your opportunity to finally get a taste of baritone.
This first private playtest is going to be exclusively available to our sailcloth holders.
Now, there's a couple of perks in that.
Obviously, the first one being you guys get the first look at what our dev
team has been building. Okay, this is going to be so much fun for you to finally get a
chance to explore the world of baritone. Our devs have created this really cute, like
introductory area, like what would you call it, Pixel?
I'm totally blanking on the word.
Tutorial! Got it.
A tutorial area.
This area is going to introduce you through a series of quests into the basic mechanics of Baritone,
start to introduce you to some really charming NPCs,
and get you ready for the world to expand and set sail.
In this first playtest, you're not going to see every single mechanic that we intend to have
in the full game, but you're going to see the mechanics that we do have are so polished. It feels so good, y'all,
to play this game. I love cozy games. I love adventure games. And when I'm playing this,
it looks gorgeous. It feels amazing. You guys are going to get to see that very, very, very, very soon.
Now, on top of that, because our sailcloth holders are the exclusive enjoyers of this first private playtest,
this first playtest will be a part of our ongoing play to earn campaign.
Now, in case you forgot, Baritone received one of the largest RFA allocations.
Our team will be using some of that RFA to directly feed into this play to earn campaign.

as I'm explaining, by having that opportunity to be a part of the play test from the very beginning,
I'm seeing a bit of an edge that you're going to enjoy as the sailcloth holders in this play to earn campaign. All right.
So that being said, if you do not yet hold a sailcloth,
it might be about time to start thinking about that because that's coming up.

And if you already hold a sailcloth based, you're the coolest.
Not that the rest of you aren't cool, but the sailcloth
holders, they know what's up. And I mean, there's only 887 sailcloths. So again, basic maths there.
You can see why that's going to be pretty advantageous to have. Aside from obviously the in-game perks that
come with having the sailcloth, like expanded inventory, extra access to in-game drops or
loot, etc. If you'd like to get like a more in-depth explanation of the perks of being a sailcloth holder and what they're going to
provide you in game you can go to um the burn rolls channel in our discord look under the role
diamond paws and i've provided a little bullet list of those perks. So anytime you want to check that
out or refresh yourself on why it pays to be a sailcloth holder, give that a look. By the way,
just to remind everyone here, every sailcloth will get a free mint in our upcoming Baritoners
mint. And they do stack. So let's say you hold four sailcloths
in a single wallet. Don't worry about dispersing those sailcloths amongst different wallets. We
don't want to make your life more difficult. If you hold four sailcloths, that means you will get

of course with the devs and creating this so you know I know that you know it like the back of your
paw. Yeah I guess one thing I did want to say is there's a lot of
perks that we're kind of working on for sale cloth holders that aren't necessarily in uh the faq that
you mentioned so we've been having a lot of really fun design discussions about the game and
financialization and how we can really give maximum benefits to those of us that believed in us in the beginning
over a year ago when we did our sale cloth meant so to me these perks are very cool it's a lot of
like exclusive game content that translates to uh some exciting like marketplace activities so
i'm really excited about that we can't quite quite formally announce any of that yet, but very soon.

on how you're gonna be able to access and be a part of this super exciting introductory look

this is so exciting. I agree with you completely. So next up on the agenda of Alpha,
the Alpha agenda, I'll work on that one. We'll circle back to it. Of course, we have our upcoming
Baritonersmen. Okay, you're all here. You're all a part of the community. You all already know
that this has been teased. What you can look forward to is you are about to start seeing
major turbo marketing push of this collection. This collection will be released within Q2, okay? So
you are not going to be waiting for too much longer to get your hands on your very own
baritoner. Yes, that's right. Not only is this collection going to give you a super cute and unique PFP. You are also going to get an in-game avatar so
that you can show off that you are, in fact, a baritoner. We have a whole array of amazing
traits that our artists have put all of their time and love and craft into. And it's a wide variety of aesthetics
too. So whether you, like me, are a kawaii core cute maxer, or whether you're, well,
not into the bows and the cutes and the stuff, there's gonna be a lot of different styles.

too, one thing that actually I'm like, I'm really jazzed about is that the team is working into
doing all of these traits in a palette based gen. What that means is that we are going to be
generating like traits with like traits. So you're not going to get a baritoner
with this clash of aesthetic style or a clash of colors. Actually, Pixel was the one who created
this beautiful palette to work off of. So the coloring is all going to be consistent throughout the collection. And oh my gosh, it's just,
it's looking so good. I don't have any renders yet that we can post, but we're working on getting
a collection of them to assist with our marketing. So you will start to see some previews of what the actual collection
is going to look like. What I can drop, and I will drop this right now in the Baritoner,
or sorry, the Barra Cave channel, is some really, really exciting news regarding this collection.
So everyone knows Tony.
Tony Barra is our beloved official first mascot.
We know him.
We love him.
He is an icon.
But what if I told you that we are releasing Baritone's second official mascot?
What would your honest reaction be? Well, I know my reaction would be to go,
oh gosh, don't worry. So if you are anything like me, that's probably what you're saying right now.
Check out the Barra Cave channel right now to be the first to see Tina Barra.
She is the smaller, cuter, chibi model of Barra.
And Tina Barra is Tony Bera's little sister. Both fit like literally and
like metaphorically like because she is like literally smaller. Yeah so within the Bera
Toners collection there's actually going to be two different model types. There will be the OG or Tony model,
and there's going to be the Chibi or the Tina model. So that means that literally, regardless
of what your aesthetic is, like what your vibe is, you are going to be able to find a baritoner that speaks
to your soul, that you feel really is you, that can be your identity within not only the baritone
community, but the metaverse beyond. So gosh golly, I am so excited. I love Tina. Like she is just, she's precious.
I want to pinch those little cheeks.

getting a lot of excitement, a lot of hype from the community. The people, it looks like the
consensus is in. The people love Tina Barra. Yeah. Pixel, are you more of a Tony or a Tina kind of
Barra? I am more of a Tony personally. I do have an appreciation for the cute things. Tina is very
slay. I can feel your excitement in my headphones right now. And yeah, it's been, uh, it's cool to
finally unveil that officially. I think, uh, you hit a lot of the key points about the collection
here, the different palettes.
So, I mean, Icy mentioned one of the palettes is very much her aesthetic, like these pastel colors, the pinks and the purples and the light blues and such.
And we have kind of three other collections of colors that I'm not going to reveal here.
But if you're not into those pastel-y, girly pop colors. We got three other kind of collections of colors
for you. We did the math earlier today, and there's about 3,000 traits going into this
collection, different clothing options for the Tina Barra and the Tony Barra model.
So it's been quite the task assembling and organizing all of this
for you guys.
We're obviously very excited.
I think it's a huge
undertaking that the team has done.

you know up until now there obviously hasn't been, you know, a PFP collection that we've
released. So, you know, our community hasn't necessarily had that identifier that, you know,
they can use as their identity to show that like, hey, I'm a baritoner, and this is my community,
and this is my barra. So'm just oh my gosh so excited because
with this collection obviously that means that we're gonna finally get to have that opportunity
i love the studies i love the bolas i love the honey cast but it's time for baritoners to have
their own pfp identity don't you think i think so so we're so excited um i think that's actually like a really
great segue into this other news that i wanted to provide as well um you guys are literally amongst
the first literally the first to know about this i haven't posted this yet. We will be posting it
from the Baritone account following this space. But that means like you guys, it pays to be here
in these spaces as well. You guys are getting the first scoop. So Pixel Barra is more of a Tony kind of guy, and I'm personally more of a Tina kind of gal.
I'm sure you're probably already thinking as well, like, am I more of a Tina or a Tony

Well, we actually have something that we've cooked up that is going to really push on
that concept. Okay, y'all. With this Baritoners Mint,
we are obviously working with a bunch of different communities to distribute whitelist
and make sure that not only is the Barit Eco able to be a part of this Mint,
is the Barra Eco able to be a part of this mint. But we're expanding outside of the Barra Eco as
well. And that is overall a huge net positive. Our goal with the Barra Toners collection is to
not only, again, provide that opportunity for all of our Barra's,
but hit a bunch of new, like, outside the eco community.
This is going to bring not only a bunch of new Barra's to Baratone,
but the Barra eco as a whole.
So you're probably going to start to see even more new bearers entering the ecosystem.

icy is just a girl and i am the creative director um so i i am you know, I'm working on the design of the financialization, but I am not familiar with the technical details of exactly how that's going to work.
plan for is one of these times we'll plan to have g up here with us because he's the other
co-founder of baritone and he is definitely like the crypto big brain um so of course like
g honey being more of that crypto tapped in and then pixel being more of that like
web 2 game dev and creative director element clicked in together. They are a powerhouse of a duo.
But that being said, yeah, I'm literally just a girl and Pixel is the creative director.
So that's a great question. And we will plan to have a community AMA where we
go over some of these things with some more technical details for you guys.

thank you guys for your continued belief and support and patience the play test again is coming
like within within the month of april i think it's safe to say, you will be playing.

I know, I think we had previously said end of March was what we were hoping for.
But within April is a 100% lock.
I think last week when we were talking about this IC, we were doing some integration on the wallet connection.
Making sure that we're able to check that everybody has a founder sale cloth.
And that is in a great spot. We just need to do some testing internally over the weekend.

an Animal Crossing enjoyer if you could put a percentage of how much overlap in mechanics
and gameplay there are between baritone and animal crossing and what percentage is unique mechanics
and gameplay that's a very interesting um like way to think about it i haven't thought before i don't
know if pixel maybe you have because you know you're obviously very pause on with the game design
you know, you're obviously very pause on with the game design on like exact numbers like that.
It definitely has a lot of similarities, but there's a lot that makes Baritone stand out
differently from Animal Crossing. Yeah, I think we share a lot of
the vibes and the aesthetic with Animal Crossing. I think a lot of the parts that were
plucking from Animal Crossing is like the island decoration, the gardening aspect,
the planting flowers, the collecting resources, the shaking trees, the hitting the rocks,
the crafting, a lot of these things. One part in the new Animal Crossing that I really enjoyed,
but wanted more from is getting on the boat and going to these other little islands that you can
explore, which is a very like, it wasn't a super like expansive feature, you know, each of these
little islands was pretty self-contained and very small and you go and explore and you fill up your inventory and then you go back home.
But it offered you a chance to like visit an island that was maybe in the winter time if you
were in the summertime on your island so you can gather some things that weren't necessarily
happening on your island or say you had peaches growing on your island's trees but you really
wanted some cherries so you could visit an island and potentially find
some cherries. One thing I really wanted more of was that, and that's a big part of what makes
baritone baritone, is you have your own little island, very similar to Animal Crossing, that
you're decorating, you're crafting things for, you have your own little house, very similar to Animal Crossing, that you're decorating, you're crafting things for,
you have your own little house, and you're gardening, and planting crops, and flowers,
and farming, and such, but then being able to leave that island and explore large,
well-crafted worlds that we've built for you to explore with a bunch of different NPCs,
and quests that you can complete, unique resources that you can collect and bring back to your island farmstead,
and also combat.
I think that's something that we have that Animal Crossing does not have,
being able to wield a sword or other weapons and fight against monsters
and continue to get stronger and level up.
So it's a bit more of like an RPG.
These worlds that you explore to
are also online and connected.
So you don't have to like invite anybody to your island
like you do in Animal Crossing.
If I'm exploring somewhere,
I'll just see a bunch of people
and I can interact with them.
We have an in-game chat
so you can type something out
and it appears in a little bubble above your head.
So I think in a way,
we're a much more social game and a bunch more exploration focused than something like Animal
Crossing. So it's hard to, I guess, put a percentage on that. But it's like we're taking
50% of what Animal Crossing does, and then expanding on a small part that Animal Crossing
explored a little bit and like really cranking that up yeah to uh reference back to uh pixel and i's conversation from earlier uh you know
when we were discussing like nintendo direct one of the things that i said was like oh i wish that
they would have an animal crossing that was more of that mmo style and pixels like if only something were being built like that so uh to
reiterate a lot of overlap but a lot that's going to make baritone stand out a lot more as well
I do want to talk about one more thing I see which is uh having our official marketplace I think is
huge um a big part of Animal Crossing is like that player to player trading and such,
which is not something that Nintendo really facilitated officially in Animal Crossing.
You know, there's like third party websites that you can go to and put your stuff up for sale.
And it's very trust based, you know, like I want to buy this particular table from some random on this website.
I have to invite him to my island.
I have to trust that he's going to just drop it on the floor so I can pick it up
and I'm going to drop my money so he can pick it up.
And that's not really the best way to do peer-to-peer trading.
So us having items as NFTs and being able to sell those things on the marketplace
and have true digital item ownership, I feel lends itself perfectly to a game like this.
And it's an official outlet for people to trade their items because I know, Icy, you're going to
have some decoration items that appear in your farmstead's shop that I really want and vice
versa. And we can trade those very seamlessly and easily together. And to build upon that hype even more, that does mean,
because of how much there will be to do in baritone, like we obviously we have the farming
element, we have the exploration element, we have the crafting element, there's naturally going to
be barras that prefer certain types of gameplay styles over others. The nice thing about this marketplace
is going to be that if you are a bearer that wants to farm maxi and you're not as into the
exploration or the crafting elements, you can use this marketplace, sell props, for example,
Sell props, for example, to buy other items.
So regardless of what your preferred play style is, what you really want to deep dive into, this marketplace is going to be the perfect platform for just ensuring that full loop of gameplay and make sure that, you know, whatever you are spending your time
doing in baritone, there's going to be incentive that pays off for your hard work.
That's a really good point. If you want to be the best farmer, you kind of need to explore
because you're going to be finding resources and items and blueprints
and crafting recipes and such while you're exploring that really help your farming.
And vice versa, if you want to be the strongest combat enjoyer and you really enjoy exploring and defeating enemies,
in order to be the strongest, you kind of are required to get into farming so that you can
as you kind of are required to get into farming
so that you can grow crops that go into different potions
and cooking recipes that directly benefit combat.
But if you don't want to do any of those things,
the marketplace is there for you.
So if Icy is focusing on farming and I want to focus on combat,
I can just buy the ingredients from her.
Or if someone wants to focus on potion making,
they take Ie's ingredients,
brew them up into a potion that then I can buy
without having to do the farming or the potion brewing myself,
which I think is a really cool way that adds a lot of value
and lets people really explore the parts of the game that they resonate with.
Yeah.
Long story short, oh, we've been cooking.
The baritone kitchen is so hot I don't think the rock could even stand to be in there so yeah yeah as the rock said we stay hungry we devour
it's all about drive it's all about power and what better day than Wide Barrow Wednesday to relay that sentiment.
