Thank you so much for joining.
We're going to start in a couple of minutes.
Just checking I can hear me.
Oh, great.
How's it going?
I'm doing great.
I'm doing great.
I'm doing great.
I'm just checking how you could hear me.
How are you doing?
Doing good.
How has your week been?
How about you?
It's been a week since we launched the Outpost and things have been pretty busy.
I'm doing great.
I'm doing great.
I'm doing great.
So my sound card had a problem.
So there's no music today.
But that should be back up by next week.
I know, right?
So we're going to start in one minute.
Excited to speak with the Raccoon Pet team.
And we're going to start in a couple of minutes.
But let's bring them up while we do that.
Hey, what's up, guys?
Hey, good morning.
Thank you for hopping on the call.
Thank you for hopping on the call.
We're trying to get all the speakers up here.
Who else is joining us from Raccoon Pet?
It's only going to be me.
So basically, we join with the main account.
But since it's only going to be me, I join with this account.
Oh, perfect.
Okay, great.
So yeah, we will start right now.
Thank you guys so much for tuning into our space.
We're super excited to have the Raccoon Pet team with us today.
We're looking forward to learning all about their products, their projects, their team,
and their feature on the Outpost.
And I guess before we dive into that, I'd love to ask, Gio, do you have anything to share
with us or say before we jump in?
Yeah, I just wanted to say, I don't know if people are aware, but big thanks to you guys
for putting our platform into the Outpost, basically Raccoon Pet into the Outpost.
Like, I know it's a lot of work.
I've been in discussion with Gio, and then I know you guys have been working hard.
So I just wanted to say thanks for including us in the Outpost.
Those are really kind words.
Thank you so much for letting us know.
It's a privilege to have projects like yours on the Outpost.
We think Juno is such a vibrant ecosystem.
And there's so much amazing products being built there.
And we're just glad that we can put all of that in a really simple UI
that every user can use and everyone can get access to.
So thank you also for building such a great product.
But great.
Gio, do you want to hop in, say something before we start?
Sure, thanks.
I think it's been interesting to see what some people are doing with their Juno staking rewards, DCAing.
We've had about 80 different strategies across the three different Outposts up and running by now.
So that's really cool that we've gotten quite a bit of uptake in just a week.
Almost 100 of those are up and running.
So that's pretty cool.
And I look forward to doing some additional analysis to see what some of the more popular strategies are
and how people are using these things.
Because we've been building this and looking at this and talking about this internally for months and months and months.
So it's really refreshing to get an outside perspective
and sort of get a chance to kind of see things in a different light.
I 100% agree.
And I would love to see that break down as well.
I'm pretty curious.
I have my bets.
And I'm so sure that raccoon bet is one of the most popular strategies on the Outpost.
But great.
Before we jump in,
Kaku isn't here with us this week, same as GG Codes.
But shout out to both of them.
We miss you.
And we hope you're having a great time.
Okay, great.
So now we can jump into the space properly.
We have the amazing raccoon bet team with us today, represented by an amazing person.
And we would love an intro, yourself, your name, and what you do at raccoon bet, please.
Yeah, for sure.
I think I can also make a small introduction, like what's raccoon bet and also what's raccoon supply,
just to make sure that people that don't know us actually know who we are.
So basically, raccoon supplies started back in January 2021, 2022.
So basically almost two years.
And we were one of the first projects to actually launch on Juno.
So, and we've been there for a while now.
So I think in February or March, yeah, I think we launched our token in January.
So in January, it will be like two years that we're there.
And basically, like the idea when we launched our token was to build gaming slash gambling platforms
and also include NFT within our games.
So we're very excited that after two years, we're now like on multiple chains.
So the raccoon.bet platform is on Juno and it's been one of the most popular so far.
And then we have, we're also live on Miguelu, Whitewell, which is very popular on their site as well.
And we're also live on Zihuahua.
So that's basically the introduction about raccoon supply.
There's a bunch of other things that we do.
Like we have the raccoon NFTs, which basically own the raccoon.bet platform.
And we're also helping different projects with smart contracts and interface.
And basically, on my side, I'm the backend developer.
So I take care of mostly like everything that's related to smart contracts.
And I also help on the frontend side.
And finally, we're a very small team, basically.
So there's me and my brother.
And my brother takes care of the frontend.
I take care of the backend.
And then we have an artist, which is basically someone that helps us here and there with the art, stuff like that.
And to be honest, the thing that made us so far since the two years, it's our community.
They've been supporting us from the start.
So shout out to them as well.
Thank you so much for that intro.
And there's so much interesting stuff to pick out of that.
I think one thing that I'd love to know is you have a small team, right?
And I'd love to know, there's you, your brother.
How did you meet your artist?
How did you pass the vision along?
How did you know you wanted to build on Cosmos?
Yeah, to be honest, like we've helped out a project back in the days, I think in the summer of 2021, it was on Polygon and BSC.
But like it was quite different than basically what brought us to Cosmos is Atom and also Juno.
So we just decided to build there.
And what kept us there is, I don't know if we were lucky, to be honest.
I have no idea how it happened, but like I'm seeing like down there, Brasco, Mason, Thera Spaces.
So like these guys have been there since the start.
So we're very fortunate that like the community that has been there for us from the start are still there and supporting us.
So I think we've been very fortunate.
And I think what actually helped us to have such a nice community is because we've always been honest.
Like if there's a problem, if there's something that's happening, we've always been very honest with what's happening and very like trying to create like very tight balance, let's say.
That's brilliant.
I think that's such an inspiring story.
And I guess let's get into RaccoonBet, right?
So there's RaccoonBet, there's RaccoonSupply, and there's RackFM.
What's the relation between them?
Yeah, so that's a really good question.
So basically it started with RaccoonSupply.
And RaccoonSupply is basically like the core team.
So that's the project that builds the other project, let's say.
And our biggest project and best, well, our biggest project, let's say, is basically RaccoonBet, which is very linked to the Raccoon NFTs.
Because like I said earlier, it's these NFTs that actually own the platform.
So this is the link between RaccoonSupply and RaccoonBet.
So RaccoonSupply is mainly like just like the main entity, let's say.
Then RaccoonBet is the biggest brother.
And like I said earlier, like from the start, there's been like a lot of people that have been supporting us.
And RaccoonFM is one of the, like it's the biggest thing that actually like, I don't know, it's branched out from Raccoon, RaccoonSupply and RaccoonBet.
It's basically people that have been supporting us that decided to start the RaccoonFM show.
So shout out to them, like it's, they've been there from the start and it's part of our family, let's say.
It's like some sort of extension of the community that decided to build their own project.
So it's, we're very happy about that, let's say.
Well, that's incredible.
And I think it's really interesting to me that basically the RAC NFTs own everything that RaccoonSupply does, correct?
Not everything that RaccoonSupply does, but everything that RaccoonBet does.
So for example, like every month or everything that's happening on RaccoonBet, there's like a small portion of the revenues.
Well, mostly all of the revenues, like around 70% of the revenues, goes back to the RaccoonNFT holders.
So I think last month we've had a distribution of around like maybe $1,000.
So this amount actually went to the RaccoonNFT holders.
And there was also a small part that goes to the RAC token, but that's basically how it works is the revenues from RaccoonBet goes to the NFT holders.
That's brilliant.
So these NFTs essentially generate their own revenue.
And if a person wanted to get involved and maybe get some of these NFTs, where could they get these NFTs or are they all taken?
Yeah, so basically we've minted out back in March 2022.
We originally launched on Secret because we really liked the privacy approach.
But I don't know, it's been quite different on Secret in the past few months.
In the past year, let's say.
So we were supposed to have like a DAO on Secret, which never actually happened.
We were relying on a team to build a DAO.
Basically, there were a few things that happened that made our development on Secret to be slowed down, given our dependencies with the people there.
And also Stash changed a lot, where you actually had to log in with an email and stuff like that.
So the idea is we migrated to Stargaze, and we're now on Stargaze.
It's fully minted out, but you can still grab one from the secondary markets.
That's amazing.
I would definitely check that out.
So we know that the NFTs generate some kind of revenue from a portion of the RaccoonBet revenue.
But what other sort of utility do the NFT holders get?
Yeah, so basically, like, how we did it is, like, the things we would build, like, if there, for example, if there's a whitelist of a new NFT project, usually we have good connection with other projects.
So, for example, there were a few NFT projects that were minting that granted whitelists to the NFTs, but, like, the biggest utility is basically RaccoonBet and its revenue.
So the other utilities is, for example, we launched an NFT game on Chihuahua.
I think it was last year.
Yeah, last year in December, we launched NFTs on this chain, so basically for a game.
And, for example, those that held a Raccoon NFT, they had, like, a discount for playing this game, let's say.
So we always try to include the Raccoon NFT, since they are the owner of RaccoonBet, to have some sort of discount or be included in a bunch of stuff, let's say.
That's brilliant.
I think that's such a great thing to do, ensuring that the holders also get some sort of return and value back from, you know, supporting the project.
I think that's great.
And, you know, RaccoonBet is such a diverse platform, and I say this because it's a betting platform, but there's so much different stuff that you can do.
You can play the dice game, slots, or the lottery games.
And we have some of these options on our Juno Outpost as well.
And I'm wondering, have you had a chance to check out the RaccoonBet target on the Outpost?
Yeah, for sure.
We've had time to look at it, and we also tested it out.
And it's one of the things I also mentioned a bit earlier.
I was in discussion with Kaku, and basically, like, every time, I don't know, like, how it works internally for you guys, but, again, I want to say that you guys have done a fantastic job, let's say.
Because Kaku has been in relation with us, and, like, every time there was something that you guys changed on the interface or you asked us our opinion about, like, the RaccoonBet strategy in the Outpost and stuff like that.
So, like, we really appreciated that, because we never actually asked you guys or forced you guys to add us into the Outpost.
You guys just went straight away and decided to add us, and we knew it was going to be, let's say, a bit complex, because, like, you have to include a bunch of other projects and stuff like that.
But, yeah, we definitely tested it out more than once, let's say.
Yeah, that's great to know, and thank you so much for your kind words.
Looking at the Outpost target right now, there are two things you can do, right, for every user.
You can play the slot game or play the 100-sided dice game.
And I'd love it if you could break these two down for us.
What does it mean?
So, for example, the slots, what does it mean if I pick one spin or two or three or four, you know, and for the 100-sided dice game,
what does it mean when I adjust my chances of winning?
Yeah, so basically we can start with the 100-sided dice.
So, it's called the 100-sided dice because you basically have, like, every number is, like, a percentage.
So, for example, if you pick that, well, all the game works is you pick on a number between 1 and 95,
and if the number that you've picked, well, the outcome of the dice after the randomness comes in,
after you shake the dice, if the outcome of the number outcome is lower or equal to the selected value that you decided,
so let's say you decide to pick 50 as your number.
So, you shake the dice, and what happens is the number is 43, let's say.
So, what happens is given the number, the outcome is lower or equal to 50, then you win your bet.
And how it works is depending on the number you took, let's say 50 in our case,
it means you have 50% chances of actually winning your bet.
So, in exchange of that, of taking that risk, because you have, like, 50% of losing everything or winning your bet,
so when you win your bet, you're basically getting one, let's say, like, your bet back.
Let's say you put $1, then you're going to get $1.90.
So, there's a small margin.
You don't get $2 for the risk that you take because there's a part that goes back to the house.
But that's basically how it works.
So, you pick a number, and it's basically your probability of winning,
and the outcome that you receive is basically the inverse of the number.
So, like I said, if you pick 50%, then you have 50% chances,
then you get back almost two times what you decided as an input.
I think that was not a very great explanation, but basically, you decide on the number.
It's basically your probability of winning, and then you get back your winning,
which is the inverse of what you bet.
And the other thing is the slot.
So, the slot is very much more straightforward.
So, basically, how it works is you pull the lever,
and then you're going to have two real that runs.
And if you get a winning combination, let's say you get the three watermelons,
then three watermelons gives you, like, a certain amount of your bet.
So, let's say it's going to give you three times your bet that you put as input.
So, if you put $3, then you're going to get $9.
But the thing you ask is you are also able to pull the lever and also do many more spins.
So, if you do 100 spins, what happens is you can have 100 different combinations.
So, if you have, like, 25 winning combinations inside the 100 spins,
so what's going to happen is that you're going to win these 25 combinations.
So, if you get, let's say, 25 times three watermelons,
well, you're going to win 25 times three, the input amount that you put for that spin.
So, again, I don't think that was the best explanation,
but basically how it works is you just pull the lever and you get,
like, let's say, 3x, 2x on the input amount if the combination is as expected.
Let's say watermelon, lemon, and stuff like that.
Impressive.
I think that's pretty much a great explanation.
And from what I understand, if I wanted to play the slot game,
the more spins I put in while setting up my target,
the more chances I have to win.
Yeah, exactly.
Because, for example, you have 100 more chances of winning
because you have 100 spins.
So, you have 100 times more chances of having a winning combination, let's say.
Oh, that's perfect.
Okay, great.
I have a plan for after the space.
But this is great.
This has been such an amazing conversation.
We've loved getting to learn about your products.
We've loved getting to learn about your story
and your journey to creating such an amazing product.
And, you know, I'd love it if there's something else about Raccoon Bed
or one of your projects that you'd love to share with us right now.
Yeah, for sure.
Maybe, like, I don't know, maybe after the question,
I have a lot of questions for you guys, if you don't mind, as well.
But, yeah, so what we've been doing so far is we're working on another project
which is called Shark Protocol.
So, it's a price prediction market on Megaloo.
So, that's one of the things that we've been working on
and we're very excited to launch this new platform in early 2024.
And the other thing is we're also expanding Raccoon.bed on new blockchains,
let's say, in early 2024 as well.
And we'll also be releasing new games.
So, we're very excited.
Like, it's, 2023 has been a big year
and then we'll continue building for 2024.
And we're very excited to see Raccoon Bed actually expanding on new chains
and adding new games.
We'd love to see that as well.
And we think you guys have done a phenomenal job so far.
And we can't wait to see what you do next.
As far as new games, actually, for Shark Protocol,
I know there's going to be an airdrop for that.
Do you want to share some alpha on that?
Yeah, for sure.
So, for Shark Protocol, like, if there's some people
that didn't check their airdrop,
you can go on sharkprotocol.bed and you have an airdrop tab
and you can enter your addresses
because, like, the address can be Terra, Migaloo, and Stars.
And you enter your address and you're going to see
if you're going to get an airdrop.
And basically, in early 2024, we're going to make the airdrop
and the Shark token is going to be tradable on different platforms.
That's some alpha for you guys.
You can only get that when you come to our call.
So, never miss our calls.
Something else I'd love to know is,
for the games that you're planning on launching next,
can you give us some alpha on what kind of games those would be?
Yeah, for sure.
Like, the thing is, how it works in the back end of our platform
is we create ourselves the randomness.
So, the cool thing about that is that
we can create basically custom games.
So, the idea is to create, like, new custom dice games,
roulette games,
and also one game that we're not going to discuss about.
But basically, like, these two games are for sure going to be launching
in early 2024.
But we're trying to make, like, fun games or maybe different games.
So, what we're going to do is basically explore new kind of games, let's say.
That sounds so exciting.
I would love to see that when it's ready.
Definitely would love to see if we could get that on the outpost as well.
I think that'd be great.
Yeah, for sure.
And I also had, like, a few questions.
Like, I remember when I spoke with, I think it was also Kaku that went into Whitewell Call.
And I think that you guys also plan to expand your outposts on different things, right?
Yeah, that's correct.
We're doing some sort of foundational cleanup right now.
But then we're mostly going to start looking at osmosis and probably miguelous shortly thereafter.
Yeah, that's great.
And I also had, like, a few questions.
Like, how does it work for you guys?
Did you guys start, like, as a couple of friends that have known each other and you decided to start this project?
Like, how did it start?
Like, I'm very curious because, like, I've been in discussion with you, like, here and there.
But I never knew, like, what's your story.
So, I guess some people down there are interested as well.
Kaku and I met on Discord probably back in, like, 16 or 17.
And we sort of both learned about each other, that we're both like devs.
And we started DMing about dev problems.
And, you know, one thing led to another.
I came up with the idea for a couple of things.
And I needed some front-end work done.
He happened to be a front-end, mostly a front-end developer.
So, I asked him to do some work.
And then sort of the Aussie thing came about.
And we just sort of decided to do it together.
I don't know.
This has been, like, a couple of years ago.
So, all the details are escaping me.
But, yeah, I got him into crypto, like, two years ago, about.
So, yeah, that's pretty nice to hear that.
It's kind of fun that when it starts from, like, some sort of what it's kind of naturally that you start discussing a project.
And then it becomes as big as that.
So, it's nice to see this happening.
It's been a wild ride.
We probably have around 11,500 wallets that we're managing a bunch of different stuff for.
So, yeah, it's been quite a ride.
This has been a great conversation.
And it was great hearing Gio speak about how he red-pilled Kaku.
Thank you for doing that because we have probably one of the best Wazim devs in the entire ecosystem.
So, you did a good job.
You know, front-end.
He went his own way, right?
I just kind of showed him how to fish and went fishing on his own.
Yo, he got a whole troller.
Well, this is great.
This has been a great conversation.
I guess we also have some pretty exciting stuff to share.
As some of you may know, we launched our outpost seven days ago last week.
And it's been an amazing journey so far.
And we have a couple of joint quests with some projects on the outpost.
And we have a joint quest with RaccoonBet as well.
And this quest is pretty simple.
It's pretty straightforward.
All you have to do is use the RaccoonBet outpost target.
And if you set up any automation using the RaccoonBet target, you get to claim this quest on Zili.
And if you need the link to claim this quest, it's pinned in the space above.
And you can find this on our Twitter account and our Discord as well.
And we have some pretty exciting prizes for people that claim this quest sponsored by RaccoonBet.
Thank you guys so much.
So please, guys, if this sounds like something exciting to you and you love to do something different with your Juno Staking Rewards
and, you know, expand what you can earn, please check out this target, check out our outposts, and check out Zili for other ways to earn while you use the outpost.
And if you have any questions about any of the outposts or any of the Zili quests, please pop into any of our socials on Discord, Telegram, Twitter, et cetera, et cetera.
True. And we actually have a special Q&A in Discord tomorrow just for the Juno Outpost.
And this is going to be with me and Gio, and we're going to be answering all your questions about the outpost.
And this could be any question about the outpost.
So if you have some time tomorrow, Thursday, please hop in on Discord at 7 p.m. UTC for this special Q&A session.
We will actually 6 p.m. UTC, sorry, guys, 6 p.m. UTC tomorrow in Discord for the special Juno Outpost Q&A session.
Please bring all your questions and we will answer every question that you have.
This has been a great conversation so far.
I'm wondering, do you want to ask us anything else or share anything else with the community or our listeners?
Yeah, I mean, if there's no questions from the audience, I have a few questions.
How do you guys keep track of all the interactions for, let's say, one strategy or another strategy?
And do you basically index what's happening?
How does it work to keep track of everything that's happening on the outpost, let's say?
The only thing, there's probably two things that we're tracking right now, and that's sort of your, the user's wishes.
What do you want to happen?
How do you want to happen?
Where do you want things to go?
We call those preferences, right?
What are your outpost preferences?
So that's, that's how the outposts are powered.
They ingest those preferences.
It's just JSON, if you're familiar, takes that JSON, parses it, does whatever it's being told to do.
Before that, though, that can happen, though, the user has to grant all of our contracts, those very specific, like, obviously permissions, so that we're only being able, we're only able to do what you actually want us to do and nothing more, right?
Because it's all still following that same AuthZ, lockdown, minimum permission paradigm.
And then the other thing that we're currently tracking is the amount of Juno, Whale, Wind that we've automated for you.
Outside of those two things, we don't really track much more than that.
It's kind of a hard problem to solve.
Indexing has always been a hard problem to solve.
And that's sort of not, not really where our expertise falls.
So it's, it's, we definitely, definitely agree that we could probably do a little bit more on that front.
But it just hasn't, we just haven't dedicated very many resources to making that happen outside of, you know, what we think is the most important thing, which, like, I think is just the amount that we've taken and automated for you is probably a pretty good indication of how much we've done for you.
Thank you, that makes sense.
So are you saying, for example, that if, like, I fill all this information and let's say I'm using, like, three strategies, are you saying you guys are able to track, like, is it this strategy as being more, like, providing, let's say, more revenues than this other strategy or I misunderstood?
Yeah, so each, each outpost is its own strategy ID.
So if you sign up with three wallets for all three strategies, we'll actually be tracking things for nine different things for you, right?
I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, but it's basically broken down on a per wallet per strategy level.
Okay, yeah, that was basically my question.
I was wondering, like, for example, I'm using a strategy that I'm compounding, like, every day or every half day, and let's say it's strategy X, and then I have strategy Y.
If I want to do some comparison between, like, the two strategies to make sure which one is more profitable, that was basically my question, just to understand which of my strategy has been, like, better so far.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, right, and we don't, we don't necessarily capture that because joining price data, you would need to join price data onto that to sort of get, like, true or real performance in USD relative terms.
So that's, again, kind of a hard problem to solve, but if you just track the earned amount, depending on your strategy, that might be enough, but probably not most of the time.
Yeah, that's totally understandable.
Yeah, it makes sense, yeah.
I mean, you're just doing, like, everything on, let's say, using the same basis, let's say USD or BTC well.
So, you need a lot of data to do this, that's for sure.
Right, and then if we add other currencies, you know, euros, whatever, BTC, right?
I mean, that's joining, we looked into joining a lot of this stuff with price data, and it just becomes a cluster.
It's not an easy problem.
Yeah, exactly.
I can understand that.
But, yeah, I think you guys are doing something very different than other teams, so that's why I was curious of, like, how you guys manage that.
And how many people are you in your team?
I think, like, five or six people?
Yeah, it's Kaku and myself who do most of the development, but then we have wonderful people like BVU helping out with marketing and business development.
We also have a sysadmin, part-time sysadmin, that helps run a bunch of our nodes.
And, actually, both our wives, Kaku's and my wife, both help out with various things.
Kaku's wife helps out with some of the, like, UX stuff on the front end.
Like, she actually learned React and TypeScript, so she helps out with, like, some design on there.
And mine helps with, some of the, helped out a lot with the docs at the beginning and a lot of other stuff like that.
Then we've got a couple mods here and there to help out with some of the channels, social channels here and there.
So, three full-time people and then, you know, a handful of part-time people.
Okay, that's nice.
I'm very happy to hear about that.
Like, it looks like a very, like, grassroots project, so it's very nice to hear.
Oh, great.
This has been such an amazing conversation.
And, yeah, we're very grassroots, very connected to our community.
We are very user-forward.
We really just want to make great products that people can use safely and be confident with.
And I think that's really our driving mission.
And this has been such a great conversation.
We would like to say thank you to the Raccoon Bed team for making the time to come and speak with us and, you know, tell us about your product, your project.
Thank you to everyone listening in.
Thank you to the Cleomedes team.
Shout-out to you guys.
Shout-out to Terra Spaces.
Shout-out to Wendy.
Thank you guys so much for tuning in.
I know that we had Jacob from AtlasDAO stopping at some point.
Thank you, Jacob, for stopping by as well.
So we've pretty much got into the end of the space.
And I don't know if anyone has any last words before we wrap up.
No, I think this has been a great space.
Thanks, everybody.
Okay, so we're ready to wrap up.
Thank you so much, guys, for tuning in.
Thank you to our speaker, our guest speaker for today.
Thank you to our audience and our listeners.
Thank you to everyone that will listen, even after the space.
We just want to remind you that we have a special Q&A session in Discord tomorrow.
And this is about our Juno Outpost.
So if you have any questions about the Juno Outpost,
please feel free to stop by in Discord tomorrow at 6 p.m. UTC
and ask any question that you have.
And the team will be there to answer your questions.
We also have our trivia night this Friday at 6 p.m. UTC as well.
It's always a great time.
So please stop by as well if you have some time.
And then we have great joint quests with amazing projects on the Juno Outpost.
And all of this is on Zili.
So if you have a second, please take the time to complete this quest on Zili.
And you can earn amazing prizes and merch just for doing that.
We have great prizes.
Some of them are worth a lot of money.
So please check that out if this sounds exciting to you.
Once again, thank you so much, guys, for listening.
Thank you for tuning in and see you next week at the same time.
Thanks a lot, guys.
That was very fun.
Thank you, guys.
Have a great day.
Bye, everyone.
