How's everyone doing? Hey, Calcoo. How are you doing? I'm doing great. How about you? Let's have you guys here. Unfortunately
Louis wouldn't be joining us today. But on the bright side, we have an amazing guest today. We're going to be speaking with Tom from Plan Q. Hey Tom.
Yeah, not sure sure about amazing, but I am here. Hello amazing iconic Would you like to give us like a brief intro tell us your name what you do? Yeah, so my name is stormy
I do marketing and communications and a little bit of operations for the Planck blockchain. I started as a Web2 marketing also for Microsoft, but
Microsoft is very boring, so now I do it for crypto, which is much more exciting. So that's a little bit about me. >> That sounds impressive. Microsoft, that's a huge jump from regular web to marketing to
marketing in web 3 very very different very very different but that sounds great. We're really happy to have you here with us today we can't wait to get into the space and you know before we jump into that we'd like to check in with Kaku, Hey Kaku, how's your week going?
Oh, it's going good. Finally, the first half was so crazy, so busy. For now, there's the week. I get to get to kind of double back and yeah, work on some like light easy stuff that we'll be able to ship for you most later this week.
And they have all that good positive energy. That sounds exciting. What kind of stuff should we look for? Yeah. So, I mean, this week we have a number of chains that we'll be adding to the app.
We have at least one network that just recently launched that we'll be adding and a couple that we should have added weeks and weeks ago. Some should be live on the app today or tomorrow.
That's huge. Okay, definitely. Yeah. That's amazing. Yeah, and I'm just so excited to hear more about about playing today. So yeah, like it's good. Okay, I think like the first thing is I need help with this time. Should I call you guys plan Q or plan?
blank, it's from Max Planck, you know the famous scientist, that's where it comes from. So that's interesting, that's interesting in CQC, so we have that sorted out now. I guess like we know your background, right, we know they used to work
Microsoft and then you made them deep. But what exactly triggered that was the journey like how did you get into your first Web 3 gig? Right, so technically this is my first Web 3 gig, but I started I think like two years ago.
I don't know why I think my little brother was like super into crypto and he made like a huge bag with Project Goldigan. It's still around I'll get on it. He made like a huge amount of money with like this this super random blockchain and I was like, okay, that's that's sick
What is this? I already I did a Finance study so I was already interested in of course the finance aspect and stuff and then I just started messing around you know with like this super small ditch exchange and I was like okay what a school so first I
I just like okay what is cool and then you just go look at the names and the logos because a cool logo for sure a good project that will give you a lot of profits not And I have no financial advice and we have a very cool logo by the way now but then after
I got into Binance and another one of my best friends was also like he was really good at scouting coins. He was really with like IDACs and Cartagie, CTSI and I made like a little bit of money off of that and then I think
There was a tick talk, there was this influencer and he did the cosmos reviews because there were a lot of adrops happening. Finance after 40, maybe some people here know him. I started trading on those moses.
I've done like one trade on itarium and I had to pay like 14 euros in fees and I was like I'm not gonna pay 40 euros because the trade was like 20 USD worth of thousands I wanted to buy like 20 USD and I was like okay fuck it I'm not gonna go into this at all so yeah go down to cosmos did some swaps on was most
and I got super in love and then I started like super hyper focusing on all the different projects and Last December I got in touch with Planck as I you guys got a great idea and a good product but you guys are the after guys and
I think I can grow the community and that's pretty much how I rolled into it. It's like a hyper focus for one year on Cosmos or one and a half years. So I know like almost all the chains and all they do and we work on them just as a user. So it was very easy to get into.
So you're saying that you reached out to the Plank Guys, you told them they had a great idea and that you were interested in working on it with them. What was the idea that was laid out to you that you felt so strongly about?
So you're like okay crypto is getting some traction now but it still lacks a massive option. It lacks any adoption. If you are not tech savvy then you're not gonna do. Yeah, you're not gonna participate in anything right?
your grandmother is not going to provide liquidity on small. And they said, okay, what we are going to focus on is mobile first development. So anything we build is with mobile users in mind. And they just spoke to me because there's
so many more people with a phone compared to a desktop. We have a huge Indonesian community. We already started using our data app in the App Store to use the private chat and stuff because
because many of them have a phone and they want to participate in this, in this DeFi space, but many applications are only accessible by desktop. So yeah, that mobile first strategy really spoke to me and then it's also Cosmos Jane and I like Cosmos Jane.
I think that's really impressive to be honest and I think mobile first, you know mobile first I want to say like strategy towards where your beauty is brilliant especially for my adoption and I completely agree
that a lot more people have mobile phones and devices when compared to laptops or computers. So I definitely welcome developments. But I guess I also want to know how did you meet the rest of the team?
I just kind of just found them and then started talking and started checking out the discord and I just personally I just proposed like hey I want to help you guys and I'll do it for free I just I was so excited there's a Dutch
team and they are in the niche that I like, they have a good idea and so they're like, "Yeah, guys, I kind of just want to work with you." Kind of pushed myself onto them and then it grew out to now being busy with it a lot of time.
So yeah, I just wanted to prove myself first, you know, because working for like my first-class company, it's so different. There are like certain rules and some things work, some things don't.
So it's a little different than working in WebTree. Completely agree. I mean, for one thing, probably with Microsoft, you probably had like a 9 to 5 set times, you know, 1 WebTree is totally different. I remember like
Oh, I'm actually not sure.
I don't think so. I think many people saw that we had some really big announcements this week and they are so busy and they couldn't help on a space with me. So that's stupid.
I don't think so, but I don't know all their Twitter handles. So they might well be, but I don't think so. I see one of our moderators is there. One of our technical moderators works very closely with the team. That's NoDax. So shout out to NoDax. Big up to NoDax.
Great to have you here. If you guys want to come up, if you have questions for Planck, feel free to come up and ask your questions or leave them in the text box at the bottom right and we'll ask those questions for you. But yeah, oh also another shout out
to crypto BR, break on it. He started our bull run yesterday. Impressive, impressive, impressive. I think like for the benefit of people that don't know yet, do you want to tell us the big announcement that you guys are working on?
Yeah, so we have a signed with a centralized exchange. I cannot tell you which one yet. That will be clear in the upcoming days. But yeah, it is no secret that we had a little bit of
liquidity issues almost Moses and that is for a good reason because we are always working towards this. So yeah, that's pretty big for us.
That's huge. I remember seeing your tweet and you know I constantly comments people are trying to guess you know and this one person has found like the docs to the exchange and you know that was just impressive. So you think people your investigative skills are top notch? I give you guys. Yeah, we'll see if they
We'll see if they are right true true true so we'll know in a couple of days super excited for the congress guys. That's great work But I think like my next question. I hope you be able to give us like a good overview But I'd really like to know what inspired you to create plank. Oh
Oh, that's a really good question. And I will answer this on behalf of Lowlands and Hives, who are the OGs here. So they were into crypto way, way back when Bitcoin was like 6 USD.
They always really like the decentralized part of it and the decentralized atomic organization part of it and they always really like the OG Bitcoin standard tries like no one can sell Bitcoin what to do.
all the general stuff that people love about Bitcoin, but they also grew up and then you have some different responsibilities. So they were like still doing crypto a little bit, but not too much. And then two or three years
ago they revisited. They always said like we need to do something in crypto, we need to do something in Web 3, but they went on to do other very successful things. And at some point they like two years ago they were like we really need to do this crypto thing because that's what we really want to do.
They already had this idea that they hated that they needed to keep going to their desk to do anything and it was so clunky and the UI wasn't quite there yet and they were like we can create a ecosystem that is fully accessible
mobile. We know we can do it and that is what we are going to do. So yeah, that's kind of spawned the idea and then two years ago they started slowly working on it, slowly working on the white paper, getting all the information there and
from months in K and another and I think in October if I'm not mistaken they got the validators said ready and the first block was produced. Well that's huge that's huge so it's been less than a year but in Planck what has it been like so far you know and with your community
is are they happy are they excited? Do they love what you're doing? How is that going? Yeah, so we're still very very early days of course because we've been on on mainnet for like five months I think now six I think six or seven.
Yeah, it's been really busy much busier than we expected the early early months were super crazy We skyrocketed to one USD per plank which was kind of crazy because there was barely any plank and Cosmos were aping in for the high APR as we do as we do so
So that was a crazy time, but in the meantime, we were like, okay, now we need to start shipping our product. So the first thing that we did was a depth of space, which is a cost-moss decentralized application library, where EuthMoss is actually
The third highest ranked of course because our community low field most and yeah the community is weird
We're going to community, it's pretty hard because we are in a fair market.
And that's make it a lot harder. But I think there
be overall.
down because of low liquidity no one is no one is particularly heavy but when a price goes up everyone is happy that's how crypto works
Mostly both being excited.
So can you give us like an overview of so you know, I'm sure there are people here today that are listening to you talk and they're like super interested of game mobile first. That's great. Like so you you mentioned
kind of quickly impassing dev.space. And I know I've seen, I think the other thing was pause. Can you give just like an overview of like the actual apps that you guys have out there and like the functionality that people can use through Plank?
Yeah, of course, maybe it's best to start at the customer. That is our mobile app that is currently in beta. So, uh, customer is
wallets with private jets and will get a decentralized application browser in the app and it will have a
So that's our flagship thing we are working on slowly but surely that's a really big and difficult
to project to tackle but we're slowly getting to it. So that is trim, that is our mobile.
Then we have that total space is 8 times.
every maybe I should start with why we make if you're in Cosmos there's like all these change right they're connected to the IBC and you can very easily interact with them with your leap wallets for example but where do you find those applications because there is no
list anywhere. Everyone else was most, but maybe you want, I don't know, maybe you want some shit on Juno and where are you going to look then? Maybe you know, bind, but maybe many people don't even know that there's also hopeers for example. So we made Deptot Space, that is a
website with all customers decentralized applications on it. Anyone can add a decentralized application there. So today I added a new DAX, I added a Blizzard Finance DAX on on on on on spread, but anyone can do that.
And yeah, you can upflow those decentralized applications with bank and when you then go to a category such as the
that that's go to the exchanges category you can see that the highest uploaded exchange currently is osmosis. All the assesses that there is a big community that is actually
They ship osmosis, you know, they trust osmosis. So yeah, it's a nice application. We've got some nice adoption adoption from that. That was a little bit of a side project, but something we thought was really important because there is also a way to reach all those other communities and get
them working with Planck, but also shipping something that you can use for free. And it works right now if you want a new marketplace for NFTs, you go to marketplace and there is Stargaze. Did you know that Alice exists on Netflix? Many people
don't know about that is maybe only fix they do but that's kind of the idea of that space. Now then we also got our token wizard so you can now very easily build EVM of EVM ERC20 tokens on the plan network very easy for
new projects to come in on a build on Planck because that is ultimately what you want right you make a layer one chain and then you hope that you set some flagship products and then you hope that. Other development teams come and build on your chain so that is why we've also focused on shipping a web wallet to
easily interact with those newly created tokens. That is PlanckFi. That's what it calls. It's PlanckFi. Something to websites. It's PlanckFi. Oh, Wallet. Planck.finance. So that's our PlanckFi wallet.
And then I think that is also worth sharing is that we are building our own decks, not as a main product. But at some point we need to build in swap functions into custom and just make sense to have our own decks.
and it doesn't need to have like osmosis type liquidity, but it should be the place where our community swaps their tokens, you know, maybe, I don't know, no, that's will make a meme token. And then we need to trade it, of course. So then it's very useful.
So that's pretty much what we have lined up right now. And I know that we have more, but I am not allowed to share, to share even more alpha currently.
Well, that's incredible. Yeah, thank you for sharing. Yeah, no problem. Maybe you have another question. Yeah, I have tons of questions, but I think that's massive.
You guys have actually done so much. You shipped a lot of products between October and you know what just in me right now. So you know obviously I want to know how big is your team? Our team?
It's quite small. We are with less than 10 people at 9 or something. So it's quite a small team, but we have like this philosophy that the that the core one team had already way before I joined is like
No super big game changing updates do small but engaging updates every week right so the community knows that there's things going on you have these these amazing teams and chains in in cosmos that ship in same products and then you don't hear from them
for like six months and they ship the next insane product. And we like to do definitely where we do very small increments of nice updates. And then every week, you know, there's the weekly update that I do in our Discord and then there's the ton of stuff to share.
So that's kind of our philosophy.
That's how we do that.
As lids, I mean if you're knowing the plank discord, you should definitely hop in. It's really interesting there. Don't always make sure that discord is popping and it's lively and I've had a great time just hanging with them. But yeah, this has been a great
conversation so far. Just like looking at everything that the team has done, I'd like to know from you what achievement, what products, what have you shipped so far that you guys are most proud of.
I think what we are most proud of is this custom. It's still in early phases, but I think that a lot of people are resonating with the private jet feature. So I think that is going to be really huge. And I think a lot of what I
I personally heard that a lot of people are using Deptot space and I think that is something to be kind of proud of. Not that many people are using it to put their apps yet. Some communities are like the NRID community, they do
the positive over 800 blank to if vote their decentralized application and unify. That's a defy protocol that's launching very soon. They also already locked a lot of blank to if vote their DIA. But yeah, people are using
using that tool space, what it's built for, finding new customer's applications. And if I get one person to, for example, Crescent Dex, because I love Crescent Dex that didn't know about it, then I think it was worth putting it on that tool space.
I completely agree, I completely agree DAPS.space is a great product. I think just for the fact that you're able to index DAPS on cosmos that ordinarily people would have heard about,
definitely something that I'm happy to hear. So small teams, new teams have the chance to showcase what they're working on and get more eyeballs on their product. And it was nice to meet new people.
I just open to the, I don't know, for example, shades, telegram and I'm like, yo guys, I listed your DEP for you on on that dot space, I'll be putting
with it. So you guys are a little bit higher on there, but feel free to put it. That's just so many fun things to do with it.
That's amazing. And I think one of the things I want to do is go back to the wallet. So the wallet has an imbued chat function. Yes. Is that encrypted? Yes, that is. It's completely private.
That's a good one. That's a good one. You know, for the wallet and the chat functions, what else are you planning to add to it? You think you can share? So when we are building it, this is
the utopia and I think need a lot more time for it but there would be that application you would be able to interact with every Cosmos centralized application out there.
That is the Google. And some of them will be natively on there. And for example, people with
to vote with their plan.
We want to keep them all on there, natively as soon as possible and then can vote.
stuff like that. It should be a half
that wallets?
application on your phone you should be able to interact with the entire cosmos and also with the EVA
of weird and hope for
Even further at we are already we're an even which is nice you can work Ethereum applications very easily but what we've also done is
We have already partnered up with Milky Chain to bring our tokens to B&B Chain and Ethereum.
You can also already get our tokens on Uniswap and PancakeSwap. The dirt was not really the point. The point is that at some point it would be nice if you have the CastRemap. Then you can also interact with my Binance applications and some Ethereum applications.
That's amazing. That's definitely something I want to see happen and I'm going to keep in touch and make sure that I follow up with all the new releases from THANK. But yeah, why not?
down. But we'd love to take questions from our audience. Please feel free to drop your questions in the chat box or come up and ask any questions that you might have.
But yeah, I'm sorry. No, I think that that elucidated lot for me about what Plank is up to and where you guys are going. Yeah, so I mean this is
been great. I really appreciate Tom taking the time to come and talk with us. Yeah, Tom, you've been amazing. You know, as we're winding down, I have one last question for you to end this space. And that question is, you know, what can we look forward to from
Plan for the second half of this year. Oh I think for sure of course the exchanges thing that's for sure what else are we planning we've also hinted at this but we are obviously not
growing our community a bit harder because our token is easier to get so all our OG stakers are going to get a NFT and that NFT is sold on so they cannot sell it but the entire point is that we
can get some perks to those who supported this very early on. So the early Stakeridge will get a nice reward and there are other plans for
for those NFT holders. That is one thing we're planning. And I think we will for sure launch the beta version of our taxes, what I said off.
And apart from that, not much I can share right now, but that is not the only thing. Let's just say that I think in the upcoming weeks there are some plans will Infold I think it's gonna be fun
That already sounds like a ton, even just what you have the clearance to share.
Yeah, that sounds amazing. That sounds amazing. Thank you so much for working with those Tom. This has been so enlightening. We love while building a plank. You know, we can't wait for or we can't wait to see more stuff that you build throughout the year. You know
next couple of years. We definitely want to stay in touch, you know, see more collaborations between Yodmos and Plank, you know, and for Plank Stakers, we have even drew here APRs and APYs on Yodmos, so you should definitely
check that out. If you have any. Yes. Very, very important. Get those 360. Why? Yeah, I didn't support you. They're for us super early. Yeah. Yeah.
But yeah, this has been great guys. We're glad to have you here. Glad to connect with everyone that's you didn't thank you guys for listening We'll do this every week on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. UTC and we have a weekly quiz in our you know most discord you
You should definitely check that out. We give out tokens and it's so much fun. But yeah, thank you Tom for rocking with us. We're bringing this space to an end now. Do you have any last words? Yeah, compound your plans on your most.
Hey, let's go. There we go. Yeah. Okay. Thanks, everybody. Thanks, guys. You heard him. Maybe you. You're the best. You're the best, cock. Thank you so much. This has been great, guys. Bye, guys. Have a great day, guys.
