BBT

$ 5.1 Trillion worth of assets are changing hands in the next decade as baby boomers retire. We can't leave all of it to BlackRock & KKR.

Our Goal:
Becoming the largest community driven private equity fund on the planet.

Our Plan: Buy boring but heavily cash-flowing businesses. Update their tech stack into the 21st century. Share profits on chain with tokenholders. Avoid becoming a nation of serfs. Do something against centralisation and profit of the few.

SIMPLE not easy execution.

What business do we buy? We follow the Codie Sanchez framework (build her own PE fund from 100k to +70 Mil)

All the businesses I own now had one thing in common, they were run for a long time with fax machines, bad websites & old school ledgers.
As the next generation takes over, that will all change.
The question is how do you play the trend?

My methodology is called:
**SOWS**
(Stale) = minimal innovation
(Old) = longstanding business
(Weak) = poor competition
(Simple) = simple but needed business model

Step #1: (Stale) = minimal innovation
Think about the scooter and surfboard rental business in your vacation town.
Do they still use a fax machine?
Do they have social media w/ raving testimonials?
Or is their website from the 80’s

Step #2: (Old) = longstanding business
I don’t buy new businesses. My last acquisition was 14 years old. In this case wrinkles really are sexy.

Why? They have an increased likelihood to persist (aka Lindy Effect) but are priced lower given they do not have fast growth

Step #3: (Weak) = poor competition
Think about businesses where you say, “Meh, not that great, it’s all we have” competitors. How many of you LOVE your landscaper? They’re always on time, have automated billing, offer services proactively.
No one. That is our opportunity.

Step #4: (Simple) = simple but needed business model
You don’t need to be a genius to understand the business.
Biotech -> no thanks.
Proprietary AI -> nope.
Laundromates? -> Hell Yes
