Hot Takes Cardano Prime builders vol.1 with Alpha Growth
Three hours. Eight Cardano PRIME builders. One question underneath it all: what has to exist on Cardano so liquidity stays after incentives stop?
The first Cardano PRIME builders livestream brought together teams working on DEX infrastructure, lending, bonds, bridging, privacy and security. Here are the sharpest answers.
1. What problem are you actually solving?
ReBond - fixed-rate bonds on Cardano. A healthcare partner managing tens of thousands of lives had its stop-loss carrier bought by a large vertically integrated company. The new owner repriced them out - not because the plan did badly, but because it did too well. They lost 90% of their book overnight. ReBond puts the terms on-chain: a company requests a bond, a curator vets it, investors fund it, and nobody can reprice you for performing. Testnet now, audit this week, mainnet next.
Dial - there was no app to simply call another wallet. Dial makes endpoints both callable and payable: a phone number becomes an address, an address becomes a phone number. The bigger bet is unifying the communication stack, so money, text, voice and video move over one real-time line.

2. What does Cardano DeFi need most in the next 3-6 months?
Liqwid - oracles. Cardano has historically had no tier-1 oracle, so Liqwid built its own. A safe lending market needs at least two, because even tier-1 feeds fail. With a new oracle solution now live, the team can focus on Liqwid v3: isolated money markets, curated lending, and lending against RWAs and yield-bearing assets.
Sundial - professionalization. Tooling for restaking and yield feedback loops, a push to move ADA from passive staking into safe deployment, and vaults and bridges built to a grade institutions accept. The institutions are coming on-chain. Cardano has to be ready before they arrive.

3. What's the hardest problem people outside your team don't see?
SundaeSwap - building a fully remote team that works. Sundae Labs is 18 people, with about 30 minutes of mandatory meetings every two weeks. On the product side, SundaeSwap v4 just launched with atomic routing across pools and composability with other protocols - the base for a rehypothecation pool with Liqwid, where idle LP capital earns lending yield on top of trading fees.
TxPipe - security in the age of AI. AI now sits on both the attack and the defense side. TxPipe redesigned its audit process in the last six months and is running retroactive audits on existing protocols. The advice: put most of your effort into a robust specification. Implementation is now the cheap part. If something can be vulnerable, AI will find it.

4. Where is this heading?
Via Labs - faster ways in and out of Cardano. Today the main stablecoin route is Circle's xReserve, and exits can take 8-9 hours. Any2Any aggregates existing cross-chain routes and shows the fastest and cheapest - targeting minutes, not hours. v1 hits testnet in the coming weeks.
Sig Network - Cardano as the largest anonymity set in DeFi. Sig Network is connecting Midnight to Cardano: Midnight's privacy and compliance on one side, Cardano's DeFi primitives and stablecoins on the other. Cardano's strength is doing simple things with assets very safely, which makes it a strong settlement layer. What it needs to get there: fast finality, wallets that clearly show privacy tokens, and enough teams going private at once.
