It's all I've ever wanted
All you've ever needed
All you've ever needed
All I've ever needed Oh, I'm a believer the coin merge account as representing here today for you guys squid grow community and with us
today as always is the squid grow community man i see you guys filing in i see a lot of familiar
names as always thank you for joining the space i do see sesh in the room as well on that uh
bright morning day hopefully over there for him so he's welcome to grab the mic as is anyone else if you guys
want to grab the mic here and uh give us your two cents about squid grow ask some questions
give some bullish reviews or otherwise participate in any way you see fit uh go ahead and request the
mic uh with that being said pop stocks how are you today, man? What is up, Funkadelic, and what's up, squids and squidettes?
I'm doing good, man.
I've been running around all day.
I had to take my son for physical, for football, and get a haircut, and all kinds of crap.
It's been a busy day, IRL, but pretty good, though, for the most part.
Yeah, man, nice.
I like IRL.
I decided that I like IRL.
In some ways, I like it better than the digital world
because, goddamn, dude, whenever I come on here,
not on here on crypto, like on X in general, it's just like war and death and destruction and politics and drama and, you know, ice or people complaining about ice or, you know, whatever.
Israel and Iran.
And I'm like, you know, man, like i'll just uh take a step back and just try to
try to do me for a second you know what i mean yeah yeah 100 man um it is good to try and tune
some of that stuff out sometimes and just uh you know take a break go for a drive do something
you know go for a walk even that's what i I need to really start doing is going for more walks.
I was supposed to start doing that,
but it didn't quite pan out.
Well, it is cold.
It's getting warmer though, right?
So that could be something
that you incorporate over the summer.
We can't hear you, but yeah,
it's not cold here. I'm in South Carolina,
so it's like the devil's asshole.
the coldest it gets
here, you're probably wearing
shorts up there in Boston.
Can you hear me now?
We can now yes all right well yeah man uh i saw this funny map that just kind of made fun of every like region and area and uh it said like you know for for maine and
like new hampshire from northeast just wearing shorts and uh you know, zero degree weather, 32 degree weather.
But it's been cold here, man.
I'm still not going outside.
I'm almost, I'm sick of it.
But at the same time, I have a newborn, as you know.
So I'm hunkering down with my kids and my newborn and feeling pretty blessed, man.
It's like, I don't know about a lot of you guys, but as a dad, as long as you can pay
the bills, I mean mean what else matters exactly
what i'm trying to say it's it's different when you're in your 20s or you're single you don't
have kids and then it's like you know you've got all these existential dread and what am i trying
to do with my life and am i getting ahead and am i fulfilled but once you have kids it all just like
pay for i don't know it was it was the around. Before, I didn't give a shit.
You know, like, okay, well,
you know, if I'm broke right now,
I'll make some money later on today.
I'll do something.
No, I mean, totally when it comes to money.
When it comes to money,
it's exactly that way.
Who cares, right?
But when it comes to like,
what is the meaning of your life?
You're more like trying to like pursue.
Back then, I wanted to be Scarface.
like lofty dream about like what you're going to be and what you're going to
accomplish.
and at some point when you have kids,
you're like,
I don't give a fuck.
I just need to pay the bills.
I need my squid grow to moon.
like that's all you,
that's all you care about these days.
So at least for me so
yeah i went from i went from dreaming about lambos and mansions from selling dope to
lambos and mansions from crypto so i kind of stuck with the same dream
yo oops all lambos and mansions for papa's dog all lambos and mansions for Papa's dog. All Lambos and mansions. And I don't even like Lambos.
Yeah, but that was a fun meme, dude.
That was like, man, it used to be so fun around crypto and DeFi.
You'd come on and everyone was talking about Lambos and diamond hands and wrecking the sellers.
And now it's just, I don't know what it is.
Back in 2021, my buddy had launched a token.
A lot of people have heard about the story.
It's kind of why anybody even knows me in the space.
But we were going to give away a Ferrari with that token.
But then things happened.
He died. The token died.
I tried to keep it alive, but all I could do was throw money at it,
and it didn't work out.
Well, that has happened to so many cryptocurrencies in this space, man.
It's hard, and there are a series of hurdles,
and as far as SquidGrow's hard, and there are a series of hurdles, and as far as SquidGrow's history, it's overcome a lot of hurdles that other tokens haven't, you know, and a lot of people that chase new launches. There's a lot of fluctuations within the markets
in terms of DeFi adoption,
your user adoption for your DF,
like whatever it is.
And we're no strangers to that here
at SquidGrow and SilentSwap,
where the fluctuations, you know,
on the downtrend in the alt market and crypto
has overall hurt this organization and establishment.
And luckily, we've had amazing leadership through Shib Toshi, where he's been able to
sustain all that and continue to build and develop for you guys.
That has not been the case for many other cryptocurrencies I've been in.
I know I'm a broken record about it, but there's been a lot of other tokens I've been in.
No fault to them.
Like, what are they going to do?
They're not billionaires.
They're not even millionaires.
So if they're coming out of pocket for a project, like, I mean, if you had tens or hundreds
of thousands of dollars that you had to pay per month for your project, how long could
you as an individual sustain it?
And so if you think about those elements elements you understand why so many of these cryptocurrencies
failed and understand that more than scammers it's part of the market and the difficulties of
navigating it yeah no 100 and most people nowadays you know they don't launch they don't put any of
their own funds into any project in any token you know they'll they'll either raise funds or they'll launch on something like
pump fun you know scoop up some supply to sell um to pay for some stuff and then you know they
run out of money fast and and then obviously the tokens die fast as well um but they never really
planned on them to be you know the next bitcoin or anything like that. As long as they make a couple bucks, that's all they need.
Because they can launch another one tomorrow.
Yeah, there's that element.
And then there's others that do think that they're going to create the next Bitcoin or a theory.
Or like, you know, they're just going to launch a token and it's going to Shiba Inu, right?
Shiba Inu, right?
I think, like, is there a world that, like, Shiba Inu and Doge, like, kind of mooning,
set an unrealistic expectation for what people can expect when they launch cryptocurrencies in this market?
I wouldn't say it's an unrealistic expectation.
It's just, you know, the times have changed as far as communities and stuff like that
you know um doge and sheba you know doge took years and years before it really did anything
um sheba you know it took a year nine months or whatever yeah nine months and you know it was the community that did it you know we've got so much dilution
now that we can't get really you know big communities together in one one token they're
all spread out across thousands of tokens all wanting the same thing and it's just not possible with the liquidity in the market
you know for for a token to do numbers like shiba did or doge now it would it would take
just about all the liquidity from whatever chain it's on um to it with. So when liquidity comes back, we could be in some, you know,
see some really good runners.
But until then, you can only have one or two running at the same time,
and neither one are going to super high market caps.
You know, you might see a couple hundred million if you're lucky on some.
But other than that, it's just not enough liquidity in the market.
Yeah, man, well said.
Guys, I'm going to go ahead and pin a post up here as well,
and then we'll introduce NFT Keith Berry because it's good to get other speakers up here.
Sesh dropped off, but that's okay.
I did go ahead and pin a post. So if you're not part of
the SquidGrow community, please click the SquidGrow account and click join community on X.
And also there's all the links on that post for you to join the telegram, check out the website,
and check out the contract address. Anything you want to look about, SquidGrow has been a token
that's retained a lot of value.
It's done really, really well, in my opinion, considering the circumstances that it's been
But obviously, this space, the conversation topic of this space is SquidGrow community
leadership.
And so I think I thought it would be a good idea to shout out some of the leaders that we have seen within the Squid Girl community from the community side.
Not just Shib Toshi.
You know, we talk ad nauseum about how great Shib Toshi is.
And of course, he deserves every second of it.
But there's been a lot of community members that have made this thing possible and kept hype and kept hope.
And one of them is here, NFT kid, Keith Barry, MMA fighter.
And you actually got to ask about that too.
Do you do broadly MMA or do you just do kind of like the kickboxing element of whatever that crypto fight organization is?
Yeah, what's up guys.
They only have boxing.
So I've been boxing only boxing for the last two years,
glad to be a part of the conversation.
I think someone was saying,
I think it was Papa Stonks was staying earlier.
Like everyone's kind of diluted.
There's so many different communities.
They all want the same thing.
I totally feel that.
It's kind of one of those things.
You just have to slow cook with community right now
until you get this big jump in of either...
Well, I guess that's literally the only people coming in
is from Web2 type of things.
But yeah, I agree. That's all I wanted to say on is from like Web2 type of things. But yeah, I agree.
That's all I wanted to say on that.
But thanks for having me up.
I have been seeing some little pumps here and there.
I know SquidGrow is up, so I'm holding some SquidGrow as well on ETH.
So I just kind of let that chill.
But when I'm trading and messing around with meme coins, I mess with it more on Solana.
ETH, I kind of just let it chill
and kind of hold with my NFTs and stuff.
Not that anyone even asked me,
but I was just kind of saying that, I guess.
But what's up there?
No, I agree.
I think most of the tokens right now,
any of that are actually going to pump
are going to be on sold, to be honest.
There's a few and far between on ETH right now that have the chance to actually get some
pumps, but not too many people are trading on ETH right now.
It sucks for me.
It sucks for everybody, to be honest, but it is what it is.
On the flip side,
maybe there's not that many people selling on each right now.
I don't know.
I will disagree with that.
They're still selling.
That's for sure.
I'm joking.
But either way,
once that,
like I said,
once that liquidity comes back, if we ever do get our, our alt run know once that like I said once that liquidity comes back if we ever
do get our our alt run this year like I think we will I think we will start seeing a lot more
liquidity come back into DeFi but you know you know in October we're still hurting from
from that big hit we took October 10 um and the liquidity hasn't come back yet
you know a lot of the deejons they were you know at the time trading leverage on hype on hyper on
aster was the big thing that was the meta really everybody was trading um leverage, and most of them got wrecked.
That's their liquidity.
Yeah, absolutely, man.
And we can keep on this subject before we jump on to the Squid Girl community leadership
a little bit longer, I guess.
But in general, it's bleak when it comes to DeFi on Ethereum.
Even I would say that base, I don't know if any of you guys traded on base chain,
but base chain saw like a little hype for like a year.
There was a year and at least something was happening.
You know, at least something was happening.
Now it kind of feels like nothing, actual, factual, nothing is happening,
which is what it is.
But at the same time man we're here we're
cooking and anyone who understands what cryptocurrency is which is new technology
that has amazing cross like uh use cases uh cross i don't know uh sector use cases but in addition
to that it is gambling there's no doubt in my mind that cryptocurrency, while it is technology, it is also gambling.
And like a casino, like scratch tickets.
But guys, aren't we in a whole gambling epidemic?
Everything is gambling now.
Like the biggest podcasters in the world shill us gambling with DraftKings, with everything.
I'm involved with gambling, you know, an affiliate.
I mean, so many other fighters as well. can't so it's just like you can't watch uh you can't watch
a reel or an instagram or anything without somebody popping up rain bet yeah like come on so i mean
what what's the thoughts on gambling in general because Because crypto is a form of it right at this point.
But if you stay in long enough, you're going to win with the house, I guess.
So that's the takeaway.
Well, that's a good point, man.
I'll tell you what.
I liked gambling better when it was viewed as more degenerate.
And not within crypto.
I love crypto gambling because crypto has technology behind it. It's like more like it's a cross between investment and gambling.
And that's fun. That's exciting. But we've devolved into gambling over the weather,
over every single sporting event, over, you know, whether presidents are going to die or whether
they're going to get elected. We see everything being able to be bet on. And you have to imagine on some level
that that's not good for society, kind of like OnlyFans in general is not good for society.
Like, I don't know. That's just how I view it personally. And I wish that it was a little more
frowned upon or there were some more social consequences, because I believe that it should
be legal. But I believe if you're a degenerate and like it's like hey everyone's poor right now because of inflation so here's your dream ticket
out gamble out of it you know that's like the that's the carrot we've been given to to get out
of this financial destitution that's been plaguing like main street i i don't think gambling is the
answer except for crypto crypto is the exception there yeah yeah plus like like you said
all the technology makes us feel good about ourselves like this is not gambling like we
have an in we're we have an in on this but uh you know in a sense in a sense but i'm happy to be
here i'm addicted to this shit so gambling gambling is addicting, just like crypto.
So, yeah, even in the down times, I'm still here.
So, you know, it is what it is.
I told Shib, I just hit Shib up.
Maybe he'll come on here and say what's up.
I'm like, dude, get in here, say what up.
But, yeah, he's given me some good plays with meme coins and stuff in the background.
And, God, god man thank you
because uh it's hard to find meme coins and stuff that you trust that you can make some money on
i think a lot is on trust nowadays because everything is a hot potato so if you could
actually trust something for a week or two i mean that says a lot right so especially in um
the turning events i literally thought we were going to hit a nice 80K by the end of the week with Bitcoin.
I guess I'm just too, you know, narcissistically positive at this point.
But, yeah, I'll be done with that after this bear.
Maybe not.
Yeah, right now with everything that's going on, I'm, you know, I haven't been trading perps. I've just been basically sticking with stock market
because I can predict which ones of those
are going to go up for certain reasons.
With the general crypto market,
it can happen at any time.
Today, we crashed with 5% on Bitcoin
for no real apparent reason you know it wasn't
something that happened or anything like that it was just uh it just happened did we pump on the
meeting and then we dumped right after the meeting it's just like is that it well that was yesterday
yeah so i'm like but yeah it was yesterday the pump was yesterday. And then we kind of dumped today just for just because like, I do feel like crypto like five years ago was more predictable.
And I felt like when you knew something here on Twitter, it was like a little more like, OK, this is like, you know, a good 70 percent chance.
And now I feel like those chances have gone down a lot just because of, you know, all these big corporations just kind of riding the chart and making money on the side.
Not even on the side, like in our faces, but it's, yeah, it just seems different.
I know everyone says the whole thing about everything being manipulated, but it does seem, does seem a lot more manipulated than it's ever been.
seem a lot more manipulated than it's ever been um yeah so i mean i'll bring i'll bring the
attention back to what papa song said which was there are so many fire sales right now and and
that might be a part of the problem like how many tokens do you guys want to buy a shitload of right
now i'm sure there's like a list of 10 to 12 i mean mean, I want to buy more Squid Grow. I want to buy
Shiba Inu. I want to buy like all these top 100 tokens that are at all time lows.
There's so much places to put money in that it feels like whenever one starts to pump above the
rest, like it might catch some wind, but that liquidity might be diluted to all these other
kind of fire sales. And that might be kind of keeping it from going parabolic.
But I think that the little retracement that we just saw,
we're still on an upward trajectory.
We pumped from ETH.
I'm going to use ETH as my metric stick.
We went from ETH 1900 to 2300.
Now we're down to 2100.
That's just a typical staircase up.
I think we're going up back up to 24 2500 yeah
but these things just don't go these things don't often just go parabolic like maybe you thought
that they would so and probably like in a week we will be up to like 24 20 no you're absolutely
right in 2100 that was you know the level that i was watching because that was before when we were trading in a range,
we were trading between 19 and 21. And then, you know, 21 was our resistance. We broke through
that level and went up to 23. And now we're back down retesting the, you know, the former resistance
and hopefully that's our floor. So we're going to have our low, and we can continue up from there.
So, yeah, we are still in definitely an upwards trend.
So you're not narcissistic, but you just have to wait a little bit longer.
That's what I think.
I do want to introduce, speaking of the second topic, which we're about halfway through the space,
so I want to jump into here.
When we talk about community leadership, of course, NFT kid, Keith Berry,
always around, big name in this space, you know, a great fighter
and great representative for cryptocurrency.
So leadership right there.
But we also have Sesh here on the mic, who's been an amazing community leader for Squid Grow.
Through his music, making music videos for us, making art for us,
jumping on these spaces, and overall just being bullish on this project.
So what's up, Sesh?
What's going on, guys? How are we feeling today?
Feeling good, brother.
Yeah, that's good. Yeah, no, it's going good down here mate nice beautiful sunny hot day we love it yeah man oh yeah jealous of course of uh of your weather there but
yeah man i mean talk a little bit about uh squid grow and what you've what you've been able to
accomplish it and why why you're bullish on it briefly because i'd we'd love to hear about like uh your history with squid grow
a little bit more since we're highlighting community leaders here oh okay cool sorry i
didn't i didn't get that pop um yeah so i obviously found squid grow maybe a couple months into the
making um i had heard about ship toshi the Shiptoshi story before he was Shiptoshi.
And then when I realized it was the actual guy, I mean, I was kind of all in.
But it wasn't just because he was a Shiba Inu guy.
It was because of who he is and who he turned out to be.
It was just really a lot of blind faith that ended up turning into a reality of like okay cool
he's actually and then obviously once meeting him you're like oh you are the person that you
portray yourself to be it's not just uh well you know what it's like in the meme space you know a
lot of people claim to be a lot of things and then obviously 99.9 that turns out to be not the case
um so yeah i'm honestly all in because of shib
and because of silent swap everything that he said that he was going to build
uh he's done that you know what i mean he's got the nft place he's got the nfts
he's got but silent swap is the biggest thing man it's a game changer you know what i mean like i've
i've always said this as soon as it has at least just one cosine from a big name, we're off.
However you want to say it.
But yeah, mainly Shib Toshi.
Well, yeah, just Shib Toshi, really.
I mean, that's why we're all here, right?
Yeah, I mean, absolutely.
The leadership is the foundation, the pillar of it.
But, you know, I think we're here for each other as well.
I don't think that it's just Shib Toshi.
I think that Shib Toshi, I mean, I kind of look at it like the New England Patriots.
And Mike Frabel is a leader that everyone likes.
But the guys, because of that leadership, you know, we all form a tight bond where we trust the organization and community that we're with here.
So I got to ask you as well
about your history as as an artist as a musician kind of when did you start that and uh what was
your first like foray into actually creating a squid girl promotional content what was the what
was the last question sorry so the first question was when did you kind of start music and art? And the second question is, what was your very first foray into creating some kind of content for Squid Grow?
And what was that?
I think it was they had a dance competition going.
And I said, well, I'm not going to do that.
But I can maybe like
squid grow not squid grow what is it squid games was a pretty big thing at that point so
i flipped the theme music to that and put a little rap to it and people liked it and then
i just i don't know i just felt like the more i heard shib speak and the more I spoke with him, I got a bit more confident in the project.
And it's weird.
It was just something.
It was like a gut feeling to just keep making content.
I don't know how to explain it, but it ended up getting me in the same room as him.
So, I mean, it all worked out.
And yeah, I guess with the music, I've been doing it for seems like 100 years now. But yeah, I was signed to Universal, I've been signed to Warners. I've like shot, directed and edited like over fucking 60 music videos, not just for myself, but like for other artists in Australia, New Zealand, I've even shot some obviously in America.
Australia, New Zealand.
I've even shot some, obviously, in America.
But, yeah, now I'm moving more into film and acting and stuff like that.
So, yeah, that's me, brother.
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Like, for TV or movies or both?
I would like movies.
I would really like to do.
But, yeah, I mean, whatever I can get, right?
But movies would be
the one all right guys so you heard it here sesh is going to be in a commercial for draft kings
uh that's going to be his first foray into this uh into the acting business uh just uh playing
off a we were joking about draft kings and and gambling being everywhere but uh yeah man also
i'm just curious did you did you play an instrument growing up or no?
I mean, yeah, I took piano lessons, a little bit of guitar, but no, I'm horrible at playing instruments. But I do make music, funnily enough, and ironically enough, and some of the best music.
But no, I'm more of a producer, arranger type of person.
I know when to take something that's being played like a loop
that sounds really good and just creating something really great out of that yeah man well not to put
you on the spot with all this but we appreciate your contribution to squid grow and your leadership
over the years man so keep at it thanks for being on the space another person who's been a leader i think at least on spaces here is rob so i want
to shout out uh rob he's been coming on spaces and and i'm and i'm also kind of curious man like uh
rob when when did you start uh actually taking that leap to speak on x spaces and speak on behalf
of squid grow and uh tell us a little bit about you. Wow. You know, it's like almost two years ago.
I was in a Squid Grow karate combat space that Loudmouth Eve was talking about Squid
Grow karate combat.
I believe Keith Berry was fighting and Doodle was fighting and they were in the, had come
through that space, same space and Seth was in that space.
And that's when I first heard about Squid Grow.
So I started watching Seth's content.
And then I started doing a deep dive into Satoshi.
And then on May 5th or May 8th, I bought into Squid Grow two years ago.
So it's almost my two-year anniversary I've been with Squid Grow.
It's because of Loudmouth Thief, I started talking in spaces
because he's the first person that allowed me to come up in the space and talk.
Because back in 2021, 22, you couldn't talk in spaces if you weren't known.
People would not, if you weren't part of the community.
You were just shunned.
It was rough back then when you were new getting into
crypto and uh so i started hanging out in money talk radio and i with uh kings and kill switch
and then it was like i've been there and i've been going into spaces and talking in spaces been
hanging out with them guys for about a month and i decided i started squid growth space because there's a lot of things people in the community
want to talk about but we couldn't talk about it in the telegram because you know we want i want to
know what other projects my community is into can't talk about that in a squid grow telegram
because that's another project you know so I started holding a midnight squid talk for people in Europe that were missing out on a lot of the daily conversation in the telegram.
And for people from the other side of the world.
And I've been holding spaces ever since.
And I keep holding my squid talk.
And I sat there last night.
JT came in for a while, talked with me.
But I sat there for 45 minutes pretty much by myself.
Because a quiet man and a smart, wise man will sit in silence in a space until they come.
Because you guys will eventually come back.
I'm going to be there every Wednesday and every Sunday,
whether people show up or not,
I'm there because it's consistency and that's how we grow in here.
And that's how trust is earned.
Well done,
I appreciate your leadership within the community itself as well,
and all the spaces that you go on to and how you try to promote it and push it.
And I know you're in other investments as well and other tokens,
so you're not primarily just here for SquidGrow,
but, you know, if SquidGrow was one of the catalysts that got you into this token
and got you speaking on spaces and helped you build a little bit of a name for yourself on crypto,
we'd love to hear that.
Crypto has been a great mentor to me in the background.
I haven't met the man personally yet.
I haven't talked to him on the phone yet,
but we have deep conversations and telegram with each other,
and he's become a big part of how I operate in crypto.
Yeah, man, Lovely and beautifully said.
By the way, NFT
Keith Barry,
I'm just laughing thinking about
how many people are going to be mentioning Shib Toshi
for those meme coin plays.
What the hell? You've been feeding him to Keith and not us?
He's going to be like 100 DMs now
of people trying to get it on his
I get him too.
It was only one play.
And this was like, let's say one play in the last couple months,
but it was a good play.
But, yeah.
I mean, wouldn't everyone rather have someone that gives them one or two
plays a year that win than someone gives them 12?
Well, it's like, just imagine you've got a guy on your phone.
Like, he's just one of those guys.
Like, he's the guy on your phone. He's like, just imagine you got a guy on your phone. Like, he's just one of those guys. Like, he's the guy on your phone.
He's like a golden, like he has a little golden checkmark next to his name.
And if you get a text, say, hey, here's the CA.
HODL a little bit.
Okay, 10-4, sir.
You know, he's like a general.
You just say, okay, that's what I'm going to do.
And then he's like the only person in
the world that i'm like that with crypto but uh it's paid off every time every time this guy
but not only that like god this guy's fathering us all right now i'm thinking about it i'm like
shit this guy's doing a lot he does a lot of stuff in the background for people i don't even know how
this he even has time but um he sponsored me for every one of my crypto fights that i've had
so uh and he's very generous and i'm just like yeah it's brought a new vitalization to my whole
career and if it wasn't for him i wouldn't be like eight no the last two years you know and
it helps with all the support in the background uh financially and not even financially just being a
kind of a good friend and mentor in crypto so yeah he's a good dude this fucking guy if he if
gives you the ca for something that that's it get in yeah man well how many fights so so have you
been like kind of uh like do you have uh squid grow on like your fight shorts or like, have you, have you been like sponsored and,
and you, so you've had eight fights doing that.
I have, I wore the shirts a lot cause he has the cool shirt.
When I stream, I have,
I have a squid grow flag in the background when I stream.
So I have some of my shorts from some of my fights in my office.
So it has squid grow on it as well.
And I thought about making like a cool shadow box for him
and signing some gloves and just doing something dope.
So I'm going to try to do that because, yeah,
I've definitely met him in real life and hung out with him.
And he's a cool dude.
He's a cool dude.
Yeah, man.
Well, Ship Toshi, like Keith has said, has given a lot to him, a lot to us, a lot to the team, a lot to his engineers, a lot to the Squid Girl community.
So if in any way you guys think of ways to give back to him through volunteering, through pushing the products, through getting active on X, whatever it is, Make sure to give back to Shiptoshi,
give back to the Squid Girl community,
and give back to SilentSwap,
as I know that many of you guys already do.
All right, last person here,
at least on the space that I'm going to highlight here
is Papa Songz, man.
You've done a ton for DeFi.
I mean, in my opinion,
you're maybe the most well-known,
most well-respected well respected member of this
community like you know on on just a community level so you know i know your story i know when
you got into squid grow but you know share it for other people here and uh share what you've
been able to do also i i'm kind of curious as to your background. I don't even know your background entirely, man, in terms of like, how did you get so basically proficient at blockchain, at DeFi, at like, you know, you run those liquidity space, providing pool spaces.
Like, how much did this education, like, where did that come from?
So I asked you a lot of different questions, but you can tackle whichever one.
Okay, I don't know where to start. So background, I'll leave out the bad parts and skip right to when I started trading. So I got into trading after I got out of somewhere and told my kids I wouldn't go back there.
And so I started trading just stocks, basically like penny stocks and stuff.
And I started learning.
And, you know, I had already been trading stocks a little bit, but I started learning a lot more because I needed somehow to make money.
So I was doing that. I got into Discord. I started trading options and Forex and all kinds of stuff. And I was teaching people in there. I was holding some
crypto. I bought Bitcoin back in 2015 know bought some other alts and stuff like
that but i wasn't a you know crypto trader i just bought it didn't have a bunch i just bought it to
hold and um uh the first d5 play i made a lot of money um and that kind of sucked me down a rabbit hole a little bit in
discord. I got into telegram when a friend of mine had launched a token and
before that I had refused to even click a telegram link I thought the whole
platform was a scam. So I bit the bullet and I got in telegram friend ended up he committed suicide and I tried to keep
the token alive and I had to make a bunch of connections that I didn't have you know I
stayed in whale groups before that that was the first actual like public PG I was doing.
But, but yeah, so from there, you know, I, I built some connections and just kept, kept
Some friends of mine had got scammed by, by this lady and her husband on a private sale.
And I was able to dox her and get her to give me some of the funds back.
And they wanted me to launch a project for them.
And it ended up being basically kind of like rug insurance.
Didn't really work out that well.
Nobody gets hyped about safety.
So part of my job was going into these TGs,
hunting down scams and scammers, calling them out.
And one of the people in my community um actually a couple of people in that
community uh ended up being uh part of the original squid grow team and somebody had sent
me a dm when squid grow launched and said hey um you know this person is claiming that this is, you know, he's the Sheba anywhere.
And I knew for a fact he wasn't.
They thought it was Noah.
And I knew it wasn't Noah.
So I went into the chat to see what was up and realized they were confused.
It wasn't that Noah was claiming it.
It was Noah leaked Sh Toshi's wallet and so yeah that's how you know
anybody even found out about you know the Shiba whale thing that nobody was
even supposed to know that originally and so yeah I said said, nope, it's legit. It's just not the person you think.
And I got a bag at 307K was my first buy.
I went to sleep.
It dipped down to 60K.
Yeah, 60K.
Somebody sold, I'm not going to name names, but I know who it was.
He sold a big bag and it dipped all the way down to 60k but by the time I woke up it was back over you know 300k and I had yeah I didn't even know it
had happened until I saw people talking about it in chat but you know it all got bought back up. Shiptoshi's like, nope, we're going to add a bunch of liquidity. And I spent, you know, I spent weeks, the first few weeks, you know, me and Shiptoshi and a couple other guys, Steezy, we'd all just be chilling in VC all the time and um you know me and stevie had something going where you know he'd buy a trillion
tokens i'd buy a trillion tokens and we had like a little competition um so we we accumulated quite
a bit uh back then you know at those levels um but you know working with sh Shiptoshi and seeing how he worked, uh, and the community, you know,
I love the community. So I stuck around and, um, you know, ran VCs. I was community manager for
a couple of years. Um, and you know, I'm still here. I'm not going anywhere. Uh, this squid grow will be my my forever home um you know without squid grow i was you
know hunting down all those scams took me to some of the darkest fucking places in telegram and just
like it's disgusting you know it is literally disgusting and i was ready to just quit defy
altogether i'm like you know the hell with. I can just trade on centralized exchange and make money. You know,
why do, why do I need to deal with this? Um, but squid grow launched and that's what kept me here.
Um, as far as like the liquidity and everything, you know, when I get into something,
I want to be the best period. You know, it doesn't matter what it is, you know, I get into something I want to be the best period you know it doesn't matter what
it is you know same thing like with options and stock and everything you know I studied
I taught myself I learned as much as I could so you know there's professional options traders out
there that don't even you know they don't even know some of the strategies
that I was using.
You can make money on a stock
that stays absolutely
still. It doesn't have to move it since.
And you can make money
selling options on it.
But as far as
blockchain,
I got really good at reading it while I was tracking down scams and stuff like that.
And, you know, I study, you know, I learn as much as I can every day.
You know, with the space, the way it changes and evolves, you have to stay on your toes, man. You got to keep learning.
And that's something I'll tell everybody.
You should never stop learning.
And no matter what you're doing,
any act you're holding,
anything you're trading,
you should learn as much as you can
about it all.
And liquidity is the lifeblood of crypto period
it is the lifeblood of crypto without liquidity you don't have anything you know and that goes
for any any asset um so that is one of the most important things somebody needs to learn and then you know you dive into learn about different things you can
do and generate you know passive income through liquidity pools especially on long-term assets
you know if you're holding a bag of yeast and you're holding it till you know whatever 10k
or 15k or whatever you think it's going to go to just put it in liquidity let it sit there
and earn for you or stake it i personally i don't like the staking part um so i'd prefer to put it
in liquidity and to high volume pools to where i can earn more than I would if I was just staking it. So, you know, that's just, yeah.
And the rest, you know, as far as gambling and shit,
you know, meme coins is like buying a damn patch on.
You know, you can get proficient at trying to gauge a community
and see, you know, maybe the and and how high something can go but
at the end of the day it's still a dead scratch off so you know it's gambling 100% mean coins
are gambling but you could take like you see like a free little certificate for 10 bucks
i want to give that to you guys up here
you guys drop me your soul address i won't even mention what it is but i just want to airdrop you
guys up here a little token that i cto'd a while back and now we're re-cto-ing it but i want to
give it to the homies so if you guys have an address hit me up i'll hook you guys up oh shit you're gonna send you dm now yeah man that's that's
epic no i gotta say papa stonks i'm like uh i'm a little bit of a yankee like i was born here
into england you know how we're like a little bit pretentious and uh in general i kind of hear
i go a little bit and i kind of hear your your southern accent and so my you know my immediate
instinct and assumption is to think like oh like not that intelligent not that high level but the opposite
is completely true uh like your understanding of of concepts within defy and just the and just
life in the world in general is is pretty pretty high level man and uh so i appreciate it makes
why you rose to the cream of the crop and you have these leadership positions
within the Squid Grow community and why people look up to you, man, because you know your
You don't just study your way to become really good at something unless you have the aptitude
to know how to study, to know what to study, to even know how to enter that.
So it does take a lot of aptitude to be able to get into that and understand it all.
So well done. Yeah, 100%. And aptitude to be able to get into that and understand it all. So well done.
Yeah, 100%.
And I didn't even go to high school.
So, you know, not to brag or anything, but the last time I got IQ test, it was 156.
And I'm from Ohio, brother.
I'm from Ohio.
I just sound like a redneck.
Yeah, you sound like, I don't know, you don't sound like a New Yorker.
I think it's something in the water with people from Ohio that our IQs are higher than other people.
Oh, that could be.
That could be.
I don't know, but I know plenty of freaking retards in Ohio as well.
Yeah, I was raised on well water in Ohio, so it's got to be the well water.
It can't be the city water because I'm not a retard.
I was born in Warren, Ohio.
I know exactly where it's at.
But, no, I was born and raised in the hood in Columbus.
Yeah, I know where that's at.
Yeah, I was a city boy my whole life.
I will just say this, and Rob, I'm not trying to make fun of you specifically or make fun
of anyone, but I don't think anyone can declare themselves not a retard.
It's like someone else that has to declare you not a retard.
Thanks a lot, Funk.
And guess what rob i here i'll just just
to smooth it over i'll declare you not not in fact a uh an idiot but i shouldn't even use that
language necessarily behind this account but i will all say it's kind of like people that say
oh i did x y and z and i turned out fine and it's like well did you turn out fine like how how how
can you be the own judge of whether you turned out fine?
You know what I mean?
I drink water from a hose.
It's like, oh, you know, well, you're saying, hey, I turned out fine.
Everyone else is going, oh, that explains it.
That explains why he's like that.
He drank water from the hose.
No, I'm just kidding, Rob, man, though.
You're the man, and you're not an idiot in any capacity as well.
So I appreciate that.
Hey, that hose water just hits different
bro that hose water especially back in the 80s and early 90s that was the best water you could have
yeah i did i did uh i did this and i turned out fine it's just it's just uh my running joke here
but hey before we go here i i know that we I talked about all the space hosts that came up here.
I talked about Rob, Sesh, Keith Berry, Papa Stonks as leaders of this community.
But I also want to shout out people that don't necessarily come on the spaces but are leaders in Telegram or leaders in other capacities.
So shoot out names if you can think of them.
Man, we've got so many we've got dreams um luminous you know dark
so many ogs that have been here forever and i consider them leaders you know they are leaders
in the community and i know that i'm missing a bunch of names but you, Slayham, even some of the older team members that aren't around
anymore, but, you know, still are in the background.
You know, Sam was a good one.
You know, Sabros, man, there's so many.
And Mars Balls, the Mazda, you know, there's, I can't even name them all man but donji
you know all of you guys if you're listening you already know uh you know i love you guys
you guys have been real real ogs and uh you know i i Squid Grow wouldn't be the same without them yeah absolutely also the
community mods but I do want to give a special shout out to Dreams as well uh just as another
space guest that didn't come up here today but when he does come up man he really puts his heart
and soul into into believing in this project and helping others believe as well even when times get
hard I know I could be more on the pessimistic side, but whenever he comes up, not necessarily about SquidGrow and SilentSwap,
but about crypto in general, but when he comes up, man, he's bullish and he just really believes
in that. That belief is the kind of diamond hands that make millionaires someday. So I really hope
for him that he achieves that. And I have no doubt that, you know, when everyone else's hands get shaky,
if Squid Grow runs and everyone's hands get shaky,
Cause everyone's all of a sudden in profits and you know,
they've 10 X or they five X,
their hands get shaky,
I have no doubt that dreams will be diamond handing that shit all the way to
So shout out to dreams as well.
Skylar Skylar is someone that's come on the spaces quite a few
times and been a more
reputable person, a more
famous, I'd say, person within
DeFi and crypto.
Yeah, she's
like another day one
or day two OG as well.
Yo, Keith, I got to ask, why
did you post that weed is better than alcohol?
What did I post?
Joking, man. He posted
like, Mike, if you think weed is better than alcohol.
I was just laughing about it.
Yeah, alcohol does cause brain damage
and it shrinks your brain.
It does a lot of bad stuff, so I'm just saying
weed doesn't shrink your brain.
Weed has been proven
in some studies...
Does anyone want to debate me on this?
No, weed has been proven in some studies
to reduce cancer tumors.
Alcohol has not.
Well, alcohol is a carcinogen
as well. But if you don't
care about the brain damage,
and you don't care about the brain shrinkage, you don't care about the cancer
and the organ failure and the psychological dependence and the recovery
if you don't care about any of the health detriments, then one could argue
that it maybe feels better to get drunk than it does to get high.
That would be my only argument. Wow, Funk, really?
You're going to do this to me?
You haven't been smoking the right stuff, my guy.
Or we got to get you at the right dose.
We got to dose you up right now.
I feel like back in the day I smoked more, but it was like, I don't know, man.
Like, sativas, they just get you, like, two in your head.
And Indicas were nice, but they relaxed you.
I liked Indicas for the physical qualities of it.
I actually don't think alcohol is better than weed,
but I do think it probably feels better.
It feels pretty good to drink if you're addicted to it.
Alcohol is fun.
Alcohol could be fun.
I feel like the... Okay, so this is a perfect example like all of these training camps I'm training hard I'm running I'm working out twice a day
I'm doing a lot of things you know five six days a week and you can't drink because drinking throws
off a lot of things with your circadian rhythm, with your stomach, like gut, biome, and different things.
So the weed, you could just smoke and just do whatever you want all week and nothing happens.
So that's why I've been so like, I don't know, it's good for me.
I've been kind of just trying to troll people because there's people in other spaces that are very, very straight edge.
And they're just like, no weed or alcohol at all.
And I'm like, okay, okay, I see.
Do your thing.
Yeah, man.
Alcohol destroys your recovery, dude.
It destroys your recovery.
If you're trying to lift weights and get stronger, god damn it destroys your recovery.
Alcohol does.
I'll tell you what.
I know most of the community misses when i was drinking um on a regular basis
because those vcs i would yeah i leaked i leaked so much stuff back then um on accident sometimes
on accident anyway i think i think anytime that i've said i've misspoke to that well i don't know
if i've done it that many times but times that I've divulged too much information, potentially, I had like a beer or something.
When I'm sober, I do nothing of the sort.
But 99% of the time these days, I'm sober.
And Papa Stong, I don't miss when you were drinking because you were worse to host with.
You were so much way better to host with these days and talk to.
In fact, I actually thought we were on different wavelengths back then like we weren't ever seeing eye on things but i feel like
we're we're pretty simpatico since he quit so maybe one thing i could say about is i don't drink very
often but as much pain as i was in after doing all this yard work the last few days, I went and got me a Mountain Dew Live Wire,
hard, 5% alcohol, 24-ounce tan.
That's all you need.
It's relaxing.
It doesn't get your brain all screwed up,
just enough to get you a buzz so you can relax
and not be in as much pain.
And I've been smoking dabs all day trying to get out of pain,
and it wasn't taking the edge off.
I'll tell you what, though.
Those hard Mountain Dews, dudes man those are pretty good um i saw them i found them in west
virginia and i was traveling through there um i stopped at a hotel and i saw them at the store
i'm like what the hell is this i tried them those things were Yeah, I've done the live wire.
I haven't done the Baja Blast yet, but the live wire is really good.
Goddamn, dude.
I can't with Mountain Dew.
Anyway, guys, we have reached
the end of the space.
Next Tuesday, we got a good
silent swap space for you. The post isn't
