And also in the comments, right, as we wait, love to see, you know, were you able to grab one of the internals NFTs? Feel free to put that screenshot that in the comments, right? As we wait, love to see, you know, were you able to grab one of the internals,
Feel free to put that screenshot
that in the comments.
We'll love to see that.

Welcome to the NHS Eternals Mint Party.
Guys, the Mint is live.
I'm not sure if Trev or Tom got any sleep last night.
But guys, the Mint is live, guys.
I'm so excited to just talk about The Mint, The Eternals, and just everything about NHS.
I know, personally, I actually know Trev personally, and I got a chance to meet him in Hong Kong
when I was there, so definitely it's going to be a jam, guys.
It's going to be a fun time here.
But before we start, guys, if you guys could do us a huge favor, if you guys could
hit that bottom right corner, a like, a comment, a repost, a bookmark, any little goodie would be
deeply appreciated. And also in the comments, right? Guys, if you were able to nab one of those
Eternals NFTs, we'd love to see that in the comments as well. And also in the comments,
right? I'll do my best to filter on the comments, but you guys even have a question while we run this space for Chev and for the team.
Feel free to put that in the comments.
But first, guys, I got to check it real quick
with everyone here,
and then we'll get started here.
Let me check it real quick with Chev.
Chev, how are you doing today, my friend?
Chinsanity, let's go!
Yo, brother, what's up, what's up?
Thank you very much for doing this together.
You are one of the best hosts out there in the whole space
across NFTs, gamings, web free, crypto, whatever.
We're so humbled and so grateful to you for this.
And yeah, I mean, this whole week is pretty crazy for the team.
We're mostly in Hong Kong.
So right now it's around 10 p.m.
But yeah, the energy is very high.
And as you all know, it's a free mint.
And as you all know, it's a free mint.
And it's also kind of a whitelist mint in a way that we only over allocate for around 3%.
So still expecting a lot of US players haven't really woken up.
And once the US wakes up, sweeps up the remaining 200-something collection,
and then we'll be officially mint out,
and the floor will just skyrocket from there.
But yeah, that would be the dream,
and happy to be on this basis finally to speak to you guys in real time.
If you guys have any questions, and you guys know I'm the alpha man,
so just put down in the comment section.
And also, Chin has a great idea.
If you have minted, if you're the lucky guys, just screenshot whatever.
Just put it in the comments, share it.
Tell your friends that this mint party is going on. It's going to be fun. screenshot, you know, whatever, you know, just put it in the comments, share it, you know, tell
your friends that this, this main party is going on, you know, it's going to be fun.
I love it, Jeff. I was not expecting that. It's going to be fun, but amazing. Amazing. I mean,
Jeff, real quick. I mean, have you gotten sleep yet? Like, how's it been, man? I know, like you
said, it's been hectic. I see you retweeting like crazy. I see the NHS
account retweeting like crazy.
How's it been, man?
No, actually,
actually, I've been
I've been trying to
sleep, you know, like
seven, eight hours, you know,
normally, but I think for
the past two days, it's not that bad,
actually. I still got around
six um you know i still i still get to you know worship last night and i still got to you know i
still got to wake up and read my bible in the morning so you know still still jesus first and
uh the rest will just come amazing amazing no i love it i love it yes although travis working 24 7 he's
getting he still has time to get six hours of sleep and manage that time well but guys he's
also cooking who knows knowing travis he might have some kind of ai agent helping him work while
he's sleeping uh i don't know if you watch this new marvel film but apparently someone
clipped their brain
to some CT scan and created a whole AI agent.
It's probably not real anyways.
But anyways, Jeff, always good to see you, my friend.
And you kind of psyched me out
because I feel like you were talking,
maybe it was just me, it's just in the morning.
You're talking on your personal account,
but then I was looking up
and it was on the NHS account.
But maybe I'm just psyched out
or maybe it's just...
I'm actually speaking
from NHS account.
I just put my account there
Nice, nice.
You know, kind of
find that engagement, right?
No, but jokes aside, guys.
Again, like Trev said,
guys, we'd love if you were able,
if you're the lucky ones
and you were able to mint one already,
feel free to put that in the comments.
We'd love to see that.
And definitely, I'm going to give you guys a shout out.
Maybe pin it to the top of the Jumbotron.
And also, Trev, we have the Animoca account there.
Does the intern speak?
Do you know?
Oh, this we need to ask the intern.
Intern, do you want to show us emojis or do you want to actually say something?
I guess intern is not ready to review
himself or herself.
But yeah, it's...
It's a bit of...
Oh, a bit of backstory.
It's actually...
You know, some KOLs, you know, or people retweeting us saying we're backed by Animoca brands.
But in fact, we're not just backed by Animoca brands.
Like the whole team is sitting and working and actually employed by Animoca brands.
So that's the difference, right?
Because backed by Animoca brands, there's like thousands of projects backed by Animoca.
But we're literally, you know, born within Animoca Brands in the same office, working with the same team.
And I personally was actually employed by Animoca Brands three years ago.
And then two years ago, starting to jump in this NHSN Checkmate rabbit hole.
starting to jump in this NHS and Checkmate rabbit hole.
And here we are today,
minting our first ever PFP collection.
And the TGE is actually round the corner.
So a lot of milestones happening in July and August.
And yeah, I recognize a lot of familiar faces
and so many OGs, so many high elo players, so many super smart kids down there.
I really appreciate you guys.
Thank you very much for coming.
Yeah, and if you guys, hopefully it's fine with you, Trev.
But if you guys, I know a lot of, like Trev said, a lot of familiar faces down in the audience.
But if you guys, I know a lot of, like Trev said, a lot of familiar faces down in the audience.
If you guys want to come up, say what's up, any questions or just come jam, feel free to hit that request button.
And I'll do my best to bring you up.
But yes, Trev, I actually got a chance to meet the Animoca intern when I was in Hong Kong when I was there.
I won't reveal this person, but yes, good person to be on the account.
I think it's not the person behind the account today.
Who knows?
Yeah, he or she is amazing.
Yes, and I actually also went to the office once,
and you guys have a live chessboard in the office.
It was pretty crazy.
Yeah, of course.
Maybe when I'm in Hong Kong,
maybe we can play a game there,
maybe stream it live or something.
That would be pretty cool, right?
Yeah, of course. We can even do...
Oh, wait. You're coming next week,
Yes, you just doxed me, but yes.
Oh, boy. Okay, my bad.
I'm sure you
will be posting a lot of Hong Kong
stuff on your ex, so...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's going to be fun. it's going to be fun.
It's going to be fun.
We definitely, we got to connect.
But Triv, I also want to just check in real quick with the speakers I brought up.
I know some people might have to leave soon.
So let me check in real quick with TQ.
I know she posted something about NHS.
I know she's been really hyped about it.
TQ, were you able to grab a minute?
Hi, can you guys hear me? Yeah, we can able to grab a mint? Hi.
Can you guys hear me?
Yeah, we can hear.
What's up?
Hey, what's up, Chin Sanity?
Just want to say hi to NHS and everybody here, Animoca, Mickey,
and, of course, our speakers, and, of course, the gamers in our space.
Just want to give a congratulations to the game.
I just minted literally right
now. Let's go!
I'm so excited,
man. I want to share
with you guys. I claimed
it and I'm going to post it
and I'm so proud of it.
I played NHS and
I suck at it, okay? But
I have an army of gamers that are I suck at it. Okay. But I have an hour.
I have an army of gamers that are really good at it.
And I have an army of traditional gamers that love chess so much.
And so they're,
they're kind of like stumbling into the discovery of our culture through the
which is something that I think,
you know, not a lot of people and projects, of course, and games in the space actually mastered that seamless onboarding and triggering the right discoverable skills for a gamer to say, hey, this is actually possible like i have a different gameplay that i can apply to this kind of model just by tweaking a little bit of what we're so used to and the relevancy is just on point love
what you guys are building the gamers can't get enough of it and i think everybody can expect we
got more nhs content coming up soon so thanks for having me man i'm here to learn and i'm here to celebrate the nhs crazy hype i just
claimed that i'm a posting of it so i won't give you this stage but it's great to be looking forward
wow let's go let's go tq really appreciate tq you being here yeah feel free to post that
in the comments as well uh but let me check in real quick with a couple of my really good friends as well
that brought up to come support.
Really appreciate them even showing up.
And also, I'm just curious to hear from them.
Like, how are they in chess?
I'd love to hear from them as well.
So let me check in real quick with Marcello, my really good friend.
Oh, Marcello.
The legend himself.
What is up, Marcello?
Play chess, Marcello? Let's go. The legend himself. What is up, Marcello?
Yeah, I do, bro.
I mean, you mentioned live stream.
I don't know if I could be in Hong Kong, but I'm like, hmm, Chinsanity, we might have to do something here with our friend.
But yeah, no, I'm a big fan of chess. By the way, big, big shout out to the Aniches team.
You know, it's awesome to see you guys continuously building.
I remember hosting you guys on Spaces over a year ago.
I think just with the sentiment around gaming, it's awesome to see builders like yourself who aren't just backed.
Well, more than just backed than Animoca.
You guys are actually part of Animoca.
So I think it's great.
But yeah, I'm a big chess fan.
And I love the angle that you guys
are doing. I think even the gameplay,
you know, correct me
if I'm wrong, Shev, but
there's special abilities as well when you're
playing chess, right?
Yeah. They call it
I love it.
But yeah, no, I'm a big fan of chess.
For those that are big, you know, that love chess too,
make sure to get your mint, guys.
Support such an awesome project like this.
But Chessanity, love you, brother.
Thank you for hitting me up.
It means a lot that you thought of me,
and happy to be here with you guys.
Yeah, love it, love it, Marcello.
And always good to see you, my friend.
Definitely, he's a legend.
And speaking of special abilities, Chev,
I think I saw something.
There's a Pudgy ability that we can unlock and stuff like that?
Actually, a couple of months ago,
I think in February,
right before of the Luka versus Magnus match,
we actually launched the Pangu Dive spell,
which is basically featuring the little Pudgy.
So basically, we're just playing chess, right?
But there's this one spell called Pengu Dive,
where if you cast it, your peas can teleport like a little penguin
and comes with that cute pudgy animation as well.
And yeah, this is how we really try to integrate a lot of IPs into the game in their
unique ways. And thanks to chess, right? It's basically just like a piece of white paper. Like
you can literally have any brand on a chessboard and then showcase their unique IP and unique styles.
So yeah, sky is the limit for the number of IPs and partnerships that we can do.
Yeah, no, that's really cool
how you guys are able to have partnerships
with different IPs and stuff
and integrate it in the game, right?
And getting their community to come and play it
and stuff like that.
And yeah, no, that's pretty cool.
That's pretty cool.
I mean, I'm biased.
I think the Pudgy, what's it called?
Pudgy Dash, that's probably going to be an OP attack
or something like that
but uh if it's not chev i'm mad at you man if it's not it's not no but uh jokes aside uh but
let me check it real quick again with uh legend another amazing legend live streamer an up-and-coming
gamer streamer uh my good friend merhab mer is up, my friend? How are you doing today? Do you play chess, Merhab?
Yo, yo, yo.
Nah, I'm too dumb for that.
Like, I try to,
I try to learn,
I don't know,
there's a game called,
same thing as chess,
without these characters.
I don't know if you guys know it.
you just move forward,
and you eat the,
the, the, the, the.
Checkers? Is it called checkers? No, no, I don't know, I don't know what it's like and you eat the the checkers is it called checkers
i don't know i don't know what's it called yes not checkers i don't know no idea anyway happy to be
here thanks for the invite insanity all the legend on the panel and the audience shout out to all of
you guys uh nhs guys good luck on the men Looking like the floor face already, like looking good.
A lot of community members like enjoying that. And I've seen many kind of quote unquote KOLs and people that love playing chess just snagging from the secondary.
So happy to see that. And yeah, like enjoying the space here.
Amazing. Merhab, I like how you said like quote-unquote KOLs.
We won't go there. This is not
this type of space, but those
are always amazing spicy spaces.
Go on, go.
Merhab, I've got to have you on that space.
like you're going to have some spicy
take about that. But anyways,
guys, again, thank you so much for being here.
The Mint is live for the Eternals NFT right now.
I believe, right, Trev, right now it's for the whitelist spots, right?
So if you got one early, you're able to mint right now, right?
It's not open to public yet, right?
Yeah, correct.
Right now, till 3pm Hong Kong time, that is, I think, 3am ET tonight, it's still whitelist minting.
So right now, we have only 280-something left.
So yeah, I expected it to just go out before the public to be very realistic.
Dude, that's incredible.
That's incredible.
So Trevor, is there still any chance maybe for someone just listening to the space just
right now, just learning about NHS, just learning about this amazing project in this Mint, is
there any chance maybe some people can still try to grab one?
Yes, definitely.
I think if you have been following NHS or my personal Twitter,
we basically...
So one, there are certain criterias, right?
When we're drafting the white list, right?
One is definitely the active OG members
in terms of, you know, season one, two, three,
four kind of in-game activities.
And then there's also how good they are
in terms of ELO rating, you know,
basically competitive players and the grinders. And also, we do have a few spots for KOLs,
influencers, different communities for them to spread words.
Because every time we launch something,
we do want to reserve a small portion for new communities
and new members to just come in.
I think if you're super new,
maybe you come from the abstract ecosystem,
and maybe actually you are super into chess,
you have yet to check out the game,
I do think there's chance, right?
If in the future, you have been making content,
you have been, you know, falling in love with the game
and, you know, you have showcased your passion
towards the project for the long term,
there's definitely chances in the future.
I cannot guarantee, like, right now at the spot
because I have to be responsible for my community who have
been grinding for the past year uh but yeah if you know if if if you are like a loyal um nhs player
and and i believe a lot of the audience down there would would agree um you will be rewarded for sure
that's always the way at nhs yeah no that's amazing honestly
like how you treat your community uh guys i know some some people might be new listening to it guys
i try my best i try my best but trev is like yo i gotta i gotta i gotta help the community first
my community those long hardcore supporters because i was like yo how about we do a giveaway
maybe one of those nfts
uh but he's like yo yo i gotta support i gotta support the community first i was like yo okay
i feel i feel and again guys thank you so much in the audience again i know i see a lot of homies
down in the audience the communities of nhs maybe people who have been supporting for the
since day one so really appreciate you guys
in the community just showing out being here and guys as well if you were able to mint the uh
internals nft feel free to put that down in the comments in the bottom right hand corner we'd love
to see that i already see tq her and a chest uh uh right there i mean her n her NFT. Yeah, I mean,
Trev, the review is not... Did you announce the review date yet, right?
Something we can't announce yet, right?
No, it's actually a secret.
But actually,
maybe we can
use the alpha
in this space.
Maybe towards the end,
we can review the...
Review date.
Yeah, maybe let's do it.
Let's do it.
I see Tom had his reaction.
Maybe, I don't know, he's having a heart attack or he's excited.
But I forgot to check in real quick with Tom.
Tom, what is up, my friend?
How are you doing today?
Hey, how's it going, guys?
Patient Sanity.
Thanks for having me.
Tom, are you worried that Travis might reveal the review date? Or you're cool with having me amazing Tom are you are you worried that that
Travis he might reveal the real date or you're cool with it or how are you feeling no no no he's
uh he's the alpha man so I do want to shout out the community members I recognize um we got Iron Maiden we got TVL Sun got Karamiru Monsieur Rabbit Bonjour I know he's French uh we
got tons of people here I saw NFT TV uh let's see Dr Maddy McCoy Will Conway wrongo wrongo will conway rongo rongo of course rongo yeah no no thank you so much prince g um because you know
when i'm listening to spaces it's always nice to get shout outs so just want to make 100 percent
these guys here dude amazing amazing and tom good to hear from you good to see you again
and guys it's really cool how you guys like almost recognize like everyone down in the audience is Dude, amazing, amazing. And Tom, good to hear from you. Good to see you again.
And guys, it's really cool how you guys almost recognize everyone down in the audience
just shouting out everyone there in the community.
That kind of just shows, guys,
how close the community is
and how hardcore the fans are.
So that's really, really cool to see that.
And guys, yes, guys, at the end of this space,
the alpha man himself, Trev,
is going to announce the reveal date. So you don't want to miss out at the end of this space. And also, guys, in the comments, guys, at the end of this space, the alpha man himself, Trev, is going to announce the reveal date.
So you don't want to miss out at the end of this space.
And also, guys, in the comments, right?
If you guys have any questions for Trev, right?
Feel free to put that in the comments, right?
We'd love to hear from you as well.
But I also brought two other of my homies.
I just want to check in real quick with them saying what's up.
Let me check in with my fellow Pengu from Immutable,
my good friend, Malcolm. Malcolm, what is up? Do you play chess? from Immutable, my good friend Malcolm.
Malcolm, what is up?
Do you play chess?
I feel like you play chess, Malcolm.
You seem like a smart guy.
Hello, everyone, and thank you so much for having me, Chin, and also very, very honored
to be here speaking to someone from AnyChess.
AnyChess is very humble.
It says, you know, you guys are chess with a drop of magic but i do feel like
you guys are actually providing a lot of magic with like you know blockchain with rewards with
the unique style gameplay that you have um so just big fan in general uh what i really like about
what you guys are doing is you guys are really opening up web3 as a gateway. Don't mind my language,
but in a way, you guys are like a gateway drug, right?
You know, like, because, like,
many people don't recognize a lot of the concepts
in blockchain, and it can feel very scary.
You can feel like, oh, what is this thing?
You know, like, why get scammed?
Or, like, they don't recognize a lot of technology
that we are building.
But I feel like chess is something
that is recognized all over the world.
It transcends languages.
It transcends culture.
And I think that's one of the reasons why games like chess is something that is very,
very popular among everyone from Web 2 to Web 3 from all ages.
And I feel like that's actually one of the best ways to draw people into the industry
without even knowing they are being part of the industry.
So, you know, like for us, you know, we always like to talk about what is the best game to kind of advertise.
And actually chess really is one of them just because of how recognizable the game is.
And I feel like you guys have actually put in a lot of effort to make it like challenging and still fun but at the same time really change things up to a point that people
feel like it's very fresh so huge congratulations on everything you've been doing so far your maudau
is like super crazy and the partnership that you guys have made is just massive so i just want to
do like i just like really happy to be here and like, you know,
hope that you guys continue your momentum
and always wishing the best for you guys.
I'd love to ask more questions,
but for now, maybe I'll just stop here.
Malcolm, appreciate you.
Yeah, Malcolm, appreciate you being here.
And Malcolm, do you play chess?
I feel like you do.
Oh yeah, sorry.
I forgot to answer your question. To be very honest, I don't really play chess? I feel like you do. Oh, yeah. Sorry, I forgot to answer your question.
To be very honest,
I don't really play chess that much.
I, of course, know how to play chess
and I fiddle around with it a little bit.
But I think one of the challenges
that I had personally
was that a full game of chess
does take quite long.
Among friends,
we don't have that clock thing,
so it's very hard for us
like different modes. And I think that's one of the reasons why when I experienced new versions
of chess like any chess, I felt like that's actually a better way, you know, like to still
enjoy the game, still feel like you're being mentally challenged to understand different openings and like gameplay but at the same time
you are rewarded for more like uh like more fun and engagement uh rather than just the standard
version i'm no hate against the standard version i mean those guys they love it
i love watching it but i can't i can't do that so yeah yeah 100 and malcolm you mentioned i think earlier
in your take about like how like antichess is really friendly to like web 2 normies and stuff
and i i believe it was a singapore event i think malcolm maybe maybe you were there or not but
trev didn't you guys have like someone one of the more famous like chess like players uh playing and stuff
like that in that event yeah no definitely last year we have um so we have this called checkmate
party after dark in singapore uh during 2049 um basically we brought in um so seneca was playing and then and then went through that we have like um originally
we were we're about to bring in like tom doan and and like alexandra bortez like because it's a it's
a poker and nhs kind of blended event uh but yeah eventually we have neo Nemo the very pretty
like the fish right
she also comes in
and plays with us
that's crazy
but speaking about
like the Web 2 normies
we actually
are officially
partnering up with
Magnus Carson himself
Amish Giri is joining us
together with
Team Secret which is
as a freeway partnership going into
Esports World Cup which this
year is the very first time that chess
is included
in the Esports World Cup
and they actually get Cristiano Ronaldo
as their ambassador
this year.
So everything is like blowing up and crazy.
And I think just now what Malcolm is talking about,
it's literally, you know, you're like reading my mind, bro.
It's like what you mentioned, for example, like classic chess,
classic chess, there's no hate, right?
there's no hate, right?
Of course, there's no hate because it's the greatest game of all time.
game of all time.
It's due centuries
and it's due the test of time.
It's actually over
1,500 years old,
this single game.
But it's just about
time for it to have an upgrade.
people can still play chess and really
appreciate the beauty of this
wonderful game but since there is ai there's engine the previous years have been really this
really just just game changing right people learning at a super fast scale fast pace and then
it but at the same time it also creates a lot of you know cheating you know scandals and whatnot
also creates a lot of cheating, scandals and whatnot.
So with NHS, we're actually here.
We switch the rules a little bit.
We flick in a bit of uncertainty and also game-like mechanics.
For example, moving a piece like a penguin for one turn
or turning a piece invisible for another turn. This way,
we make AI almost impossible to give you the perfect solution for your next move.
Right? So imagine what that can do is we can now enable online chess matches with a huge prize pool.
So imagine the online poker model, there's cash games,
there's multi-table tournaments, there's the world series of poker and all that. Now we can
literally have that for chess and not the classical way because one, people get bored watching,
two, people cheat. But now with any chess, since people can't really cheat with the ever-changing spells and then these
super complex mechanics uh then everybody's like a fair game and uh now we can just enable you know
just just super easy login you know you sign up with your gmail facebook whatever and then you
have this embedded wallet with you and then you are immediately onboarded into WebFree
and then you start to get NFTs,
you start to get tokens
and then you wager your tokens,
just like how people play on the streets
versus those hustlers.
So they're just naturally onboarded.
And the previous years,
chess has been growing at the, you know,
historical pace thanks to, you know, COVID, Queen's Gambit,
and then Chess.com actually surged to over 200 million of users.
So, yeah, everything is, like, booming in the Chess space,
and AnyChess is really the gateway for mass onboarding,
which this space has been waiting for a really long time.
I was going to ask you that, Trev.
Like, you know, you mentioned all these, like,
I don't even know these people,
but like they just sound like great chess players.
Like you mentioned these names,
they had first name, last names, man.
You know, it's pretty legit when that happens.
No, you don't know
them you know i mean like okay magnuson you for sure you've basically he's all over like facebook
tick tock you know like banging tables and stuff iconic the way he dressed he's like a multi-millionaire
but he dressed like a hobo but he plays. He does a lot of streams as well,
and it's quite funny.
He has a great personality.
I personally enjoy watching him play.
So if you do have the time,
I think he's a great person to follow.
I think he has everything in one package.
I feel like, you know,
if Vitalik wanted to choose another job,
maybe as a chess personality,
I think he would be an excellent fit as well.
So I'm hoping that...
And I think that Vitalik
is very into chess.
Yeah, I was going to say,
that guy just looks like
he plays chess a lot.
I'm not trying to stereotype here, guys.
I'm just saying,
he just looks like he plays chess, right?
I mean, he's not dancing anymore, right?
I don't even know that...
I feel like you invented
a new compliment,
so please just keep saying that. I feel like you invented a new compliment so please just keep saying that I feel like
you play chess
and then people just
naturally feel like
you're praising them
yeah I said that about you
I totally like
co-filed you
I was like
Malcolm for sure
plays chess
for guys that know
I actually know Malcolm
we're good friends
I've met him in real life
so I can do this
we're gonna see each other pretty soon, too, in Asia.
But yeah, it's pretty funny.
It's pretty funny there.
But guys, I brought up another really good friend.
This guy is a legend, a space host legend, actually.
If you guys think I have a cool intro, wait until you hear this.
Wait until you hear this.
Mr. Greenity, what is up, my friend?
Hit us with your intro.
Hit us with your intro.
This is the part that your mom won't like.
Yaaahsss Hey yo
What is going on
Chin Sanity
My brother
What are you cooking around here
Hey Mr. Goody
Do you play chess Mr. Goody
I'm not going to profile you
I'm not going to profile you No I'm not going to profile you.
No, you can't.
No, please.
Yo, please do it.
We're chess bros, ladies and gentlemen.
No, I have to be honest.
I haven't played chess in a while, right?
In a while, for real.
But from my childhood on, basically, when I was like nine or ten or something like that,
I got squeezed from my mom into like a chess club.
And I was actually playing until I was like 17, 18.
Yeah, at least school-wise in competitive chess.
And then afterwards, here and there, I was like, you know,
computer chess playing and so on.
My mom is a big chess player here and there
when I come together with her, we play a party.
But I have to admit throughout the last, I would say, 10 years around-ish,
I haven't played that much.
Maybe two or three parties overall in total.
But I've been very big into chess back in the days, especially in my youth.
I had no idea about that.
So honestly, I feel like, Mr Mr. Green you're probably the most qualified
here to play because you said you played from when you're a kid to like high school right
yeah somehow basically until my high school exam you could say and this was then when my school
era has ended right and I enjoyed it a lot for the reason but not for the actual gameplay and strategies of people, but in my opinion,
chess, and especially
people that are playing
tournament-wise,
and competitive chess,
are big brains
I don't know if I can swear around here, but you know
what I'm talking about. It's like very
smart people that you surround yourself
with, in my opinion, and it has
like a very different type
of thinking, I would say.
Right? I mean, this might not count
for everybody that plays chess, but it's like a
very, in my opinion, especially with
people that are doing quite well, they have a
very strategic thinking.
And for someone like me that has
like a very, I would say, intentional
thinking, that was a very good counterpart to learn from.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
100%, 100%.
And, Jess, I feel like chess is definitely for the giga brains.
That's why I said, Malcolm, apologies.
But, Malcolm, you're a giga brain.
So, I was like, yo, he probably plays chess.
And then, like, what's his name?
Vitalik, that guy plays chess. Satoshi Nakamoto, that guy definitely plays like yo he he's probably plays chess and then like uh what's his name vitalik that guy plays chess satoshi nakamoto that guy definitely plays chess if he's real
i don't know if he's real or not i don't know about you guys but sorry aren't you satoshi
i thought you were satoshi chin no but you know when you google that satoshi nakamoto it's just
literally just japanese random guy named satoshi nakamoto. And then I thought, oh, they found him, right?
That's him, right?
And then I went on YouTube and he did an interview.
He's like, I hate it, man.
Why is everyone thinking I created Bitcoin?
It's not me.
Just because I have the name, it's terrible.
My life is terrible now because everyone thinks I created Bitcoin.
It's pretty funny.
And even now, if you Google it, it's literally the same Japanese dude.
I feel bad for him.
Maybe he is.
Maybe he's just lying and stuff like that.
But anyways, I also brought up an amazing, I believe a community member has a sick Mochaverse PFP.
Mocha Chief.
Mocha Chief.
Mocha Chief.
What is up?
Congratulations on successful Mint and one of my favorite projects in Web3.
I start my day every day with a few matches and a cup of coffee, and that's how I get my brain going.
And, you know, I think there's no better utility than that.
I'm super bullish on the future and just love being a part of this team and community.
So, yeah, thanks for bringing me up.
Just wanted to say congrats, congrats, congrats
and a job well done.
Thank you, Mocha Chief.
Did I see someone say in the chat
that you actually are not included in the whitelist
or was that a mistake what did you get to mint
i i um i did not get a wait list but that's okay i know you had like 30 40 000 people go for it i
grabbed mine on secondary uh there's no stopping me from uh being a part of the nhs community
i don't care what it costs me count me in brother
amazing this is crazy i just want to just sorry just uh hop in and ask a quick question what so maybe for for any chess sorry what is your name can i address you by your name or should i
just call you any chess sorry i joined late oh just call me chef like like the cook okay chef I wanted to ask you
what is the craziest thing
that you've included in NHS
what do you like
what is the craziest thing
that you've included in NHS
that you think people like the most
that's actually the crazy question
to me there is a lot of different angles that we can answer.
Like one is definitely the gameplay mechanics.
So a bit of backstory.
I actually play like online poker semi-pro for the previous four or five years.
I actually got a bit addicted.
And thanks to Jesus, i play much less these days
and i and i got my and i and i got my sleeve you know like like literally right before i
would be waking up at 2 3 a.m um and then for like the the u.s time zone tournament with big prize pools, I would just wake up at 3am.
But no, these days I stopped doing it.
But yeah, back to the question.
I think a lot of the journey that I went through from online poker,
it actually inspires me in a way that that started
the whole nhs idea which is just now we we talked about the the cheating aspect and and
and the exclusivity aspect of of being able to participate in chess tournaments right for example
if you ain't a good player or you you you don't have a title or you aren't a grandmaster,
you can't really play in like big tournaments, right?
Normally all the big tournaments with big prize pools,
they're only for the top like 50 players in the world.
And speaking of the world, there's 600 million of chess players regularly, right?
So we're talking about 0.0000001%
that can play in tournaments with prize pools.
But in online poker, literally anyone can play, right?
So in order to fix that gap,
that actually is the single point
that stopped people from pursuing chess,
losing interest in chess, and even a huge barrier for people to enter chess because they just feel like they need to spend
like 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, and doesn't even guarantee they can be a grandmaster, right?
Because you have to put in a lot of hard work, you have to be intelligent and all that. And I think that is also the reason why Magnus Carlsen himself,
he is getting tired of regular chess.
And he's doing freestyle chess with the background chess pieces randomized.
And then he's joining esports teams.
And he's joining these splits championships.
Just different forms of chess.
And he supports any chess as well, you know.
So, I mean, maybe just one point is it's really about the whole concept of any chess.
Like, having chess at the core, still a 99% strategic game.
We're not like any other casino game and just slot machine
crypto game 5 projects out there
but it's still really hardcore
casino. I never heard of casino.
Oh, really?
But yeah, I mean
a lot of game 5 projects
just purely luck based
like look at Moon and Doom.
Like what, what is that? Like, like 30 seconds up or down? That, that is just, that's just crazy, right?
So, I mean, we're, we're, we're nowhere near those games. We're, we're still very strategic at core.
And fun fact is literally last night I was approached by the former, the former world ranked number one Axie Infinity player.
And he just reached out from Argentina and said, hey, sorry for just knowing about you guys.
And he's down for long-term partnership and content creation with us.
So these are the type of players that we really want to attract
and make chess fun again.
These type of players are maybe looking at average
or above average ELO rating.
They know chess, but they really, really know their spells,
really know their tactics.
And they are the types that they are not stopped by, you know.
Because in regular chess, if you play against someone that is, you know, a few hundreds above you in terms of helo, you can never win, right?
Imagine you play against Magnus Carson.
If you play 10,000 matches, you can't even win a single one of them.
But in any chess, this threshold and this
barrier of entry completely collapse, right? Because the more that you study about chess and
the mechanics and the new spells, and not to mention the spells are introduced, you know,
pretty frequently, right? Maybe a few weeks, we launch a new spell, a new season, there is a whole
new set of spells under different IPs, different lore, etc.
Then it just makes it, you know, like people really need to spend their time, really need to study and really need to have content creators out there to promote.
And so a lot of community can actually come in and really who pays the hard work,
who contributes and who study the game the most,
they will gain the most in terms of tokens
and assets and reputation and all that in Web3,
which there's no way
that people can actually make a living out of chess
unless you're a super beautiful like Al alessandra bodice or you're
super smart like magnus right like the 99.99 of chess players out there just play for fun but but
nobody can actually play it for a living right right thanks so much for the answer i think like
uh that's the kind of innovation that you guys are bringing you know to the table uh you guys
are flipping the script you know you guys are bringing to the table. You guys are flipping the script.
You guys are actually giving a fairer chance to people to kind of enjoy and just play the game.
The fun thing about poker is the variations.
You can play the perfect hand.
You can play by the book.
You can play, do everything right.
But at the end of the day, luck still affects you in some way.
And I feel like that you
you actually very successfully bring that concept uh into any chess by by also creating some sort
of variance where people may not expect but they still have to kind of like deal with it uh you
know like poker deals with more like short-term how understanding or like adaptability and how
you change your gameplay depending on the information
that you currently have on the table,
where chess is a lot more
like long-term positional
sort of strategic game.
But there's a lot of things
in common as well.
And I'm glad to see
this version of chess that exists
that kind of brings
the best elements from poker
and kind of like put it
into a chess game
that then everybody can enjoy.
Everybody feels the excitement, the anticipation
the same way that poker actually excites everyone around the world.
So I think really, really cool.
Thanks for that.
I think TQ has put her hand up for a long, long time.
TQ, go ahead.
Hey, no, I was just going to say gonna say man he said a lot of amazing things and malco
too but i just want to give nhs their flowers and creating like you know the space right now
is weird because like they've over complicated the process of how a gamer stumbles into the space to discover what we can offer them, right?
And that's to incentivize them for the time, which is what a lot of the gamers pay for.
They pay with time. They pay with effort.
And with chess, I say this a lot of times in the spaces, gaming breaks down social barriers.
And I've had a lot of gamers in my guild that don't even know how to speak English like me.
English is not my first language.
Shout out to 1437, by the way.
I think that's what Anishas was talking about as the champion of Axie.
I came from Axie Infinity four years ago.
So I'm very familiar with gamers that are technical and strategic.
And so I even made my own farm and had my own guild from four years ago and i was given axi queen title rns by ghos because i did
charity while gaining the yields of my games and my and my community instead of putting it in my
pocket or renting another lamborghini right and And so I think NHS is breaking down social barriers even more
because I have more opportunities to connect with gamers
that a lot of the falling out is because of the overcomplicated process
of a gamer onboarding into the space
where there's multiple steps in discovering how I can make this sustainable.
But when I got into their website, it was so easy to get into a game.
It was so relevant to where I almost know the game,
except I'm very excited to apply all the new things that they've created
to where they didn't reinvent the wheel,
but they have made a sphere for us to play around it in multiple dimensions.
So I think we need more builders like Anachesis in kind of like think on a gamer's perspective to be like, hey, we're offering
even so much more experiences that I don't think you've experienced in a Web 2 before,
but at the same time, discover that the Web 3 is a place for you to be an empowered gamer as it is,
and maybe discover that you're a creator as well at the same time.
So I think that's like the beauty of the space
because then we kind of like see
how much impact we create,
not just personally, but economically for them
to where incentivizing them for their time
is something that we've all been praying for in the space.
And so thank you so
much for creating that i need to go soon but i'm here and i'm learning so much and i'm i'm super
excited about what you guys have to offer the community yeah amazing amazing well tq appreciate
you even coming up uh yeah and sharing that and sharing your flowers and apologize i didn't see
your hand guys x has this rug where if I exit this space
and then I go to somewhere else to see something,
all the hands just collapse.
Like, I don't see it.
So guys, if you guys are hand raised, I'm sorry.
I don't see any hands right now.
So feel free if you do, just do it again.
I won't get annoyed and stuff.
Hopefully, there's no hands here.
Hopefully, you guys still can hear me.
Can you guys hear me?
Maybe I'm rugging you.
But anyways, guys, we're going to go now into more of the alpha stages.
We have alpha man himself, Trev, here with us.
So, guys, we have around almost, we topped 80 live listeners.
Guys, how about let's try to top 100 live listeners in this amazing, amazing party.
I was like, Trev, we might need to extend this time
because it's cooking man it's cooking we're getting people here uh so i was like trev we
got to do he's like yo let's go let's go bro uh so yeah let's talk a little bit more of the alpha
now because we have trev here so maybe people are wondering right trev like about the entity itself
right again guys the mint is live and right now it's for the whitelist spots so if you have a
whitelist spot feel free to claim your free Mint.
And it's going to be open to the public,
I believe tomorrow.
I think it's like 3 a.m. US time,
3 p.m. Hong Kong time.
But like Jeff said,
it might be sold out already
because the demand is just hot.
The community just popping.
But Jeff, maybe for someone that's,
you know, kind of curious
about like the NFT itself,
like I guess in the future,
what are the future plans of utilizing the NFT
for the holders and stuff like that in the game?
Definitely.
Now we jump into the alpha, the spicy stage
where I think most of the listeners
are waiting for this section.
Thank you for hopping in for like 56 minutes now and uh now finally it's the time
right so so get your open sea ready so dude trev i've been i've been trying to farm a little bit
like get the engagement up get people to go and then i was like yo and then we'll bring the alpha
yeah no you you're a pro at this but but actually like like since starting the the spaces we actually go from
0.2 like all the way to 0.25 and we're actually two away from 0.3 so like who who is sweeping
who is sweeping just just raise your hand down there but but... Moab has had him. No, but actually, okay.
Magnus Carlsen.
So jumping into the real business, right?
I think first come first,
this is a collection of 960 only, right?
The total supply is fixed.
There's not going to be more Ethernals.
And these Ethernals are the most prestigious being in the whole NHS ecosystem, where mainly,
I think over 75% are reserved for OG and also active players that have been playing over
a one-year horizon and have been active in all the seasons.
So you can imagine they are hardcore
and they are real gamers who love the game.
They're not just here for airdrops, mints, and whatnot.
A lot of them don't even know they are whitelisted
because they're just playing and then,
oh, they check their wallet and they're actually in. So they are actuallyitelisted because they're just playing and then oh they check their wallet and they're
actually in right like so they are actually the type like of course they are like farmers and
they will come in and all that but but how we're deciding who to give out it's it's really on the
the gameplay data across the seasons and and uh over 75% are actually for the real hardcore players who show up in the
game, who show up in Discord, who provide valuable game mechanics and all the feedbacks.
And that's bring us who we are and how the game is being designed till this very moment, right? I think we have already like over 20 or something patches
since the beginning of October last year.
There have been like a lot of patchworks
thanks to community feedbacks
and also like active discussions
with the grandmasters out there
to make sure we have a fine balance
between the creative spells that
we're imposing versus the really classical game that we don't want to mess up with right so so
first first come first first come to first is really a very small collection as you can see
from the floor it's like super thin um i i can't see how many are being listed right now, but I think looking at
the floor, it's like super thin. We're going from 0.25 and then 0.3. And then, you know,
if someone sweeps 10, we're already at like 0.5, right? So this is like one point. The collection is super small,
and it's really majority going to the OG community
who are game lovers and not farmers,
and they will be diamond hands.
So that is one point that I want to just to bring up
why we're different from a lot of other NFT or token
collections out there. Two, this PFP collection comes with the allocation of C token. Like you
will be like, what even is C token? It's actually the whole checkmate ecosystem that wraps NHS as a part of.
So the checkmate ecosystem is actually launching the C token to empower the next generation
of competitive gamers and projects.
Like whoever it's building anything strategic and then specifically in gaming like gaming if you
know chess game of course nhs is the first pilot project but imagine there are like social poker
games you know different form of chess puzzle games you know viral games like wordle whatever
like puzzle games that require strategy,
like Checkmate Foundation, Checkmate Ecosystem is very open and welcome.
And as a matter of fact, we already have a pipeline to onboard all these projects.
And not only from Web3, actually, we're talking with a lot of big Web2 titles
and Web2 games that have a lot of players
to actually adopt the c token as their
in-game utility right so if you are looking just at nhs as one single game you're missing out the
big picture because nhs is just one single game within the checkmate ecosystem. And this Checkmate token is coming out in the next month, right?
Basically. So it could even come out within July if everything goes smooth.
Right. So why I want to include this is because the PFP will have C token allocation,
and it's not a small allocation.
I think what is different is because we really want to reward the OG and active players,
and we also tie it with the future in-game metrics.
So again, very different from so many different projects out there.
They're just dropping 50%, 60% of their supply on day one,
and then the token just plunges 90%, 95%.
What we're doing differently is we only drop a portion on day one,
but in the future, it will be tied to real value add to the ecosystem.
You know, if you are a content creator, you got points, right?
If you are a hardcore player, you got points, right?
If you are a high elo, like competitive players,
always on the top of the leaderboards, you got points.
If you're a whale, you provide capital, you got points, right?
If you're an influencer, you provide social value, you got points, right?
So this is really the game that every game out there should be designing, right?
You can't be dropping 50% of your total token supply to
farmers, right? You really need to balance it out to everyone who adds value to your network,
right? Because not for a project or a token to succeed, you can't really drop to one single
part of your ecosystem, but actually everyone that adds value, you need to reward them accordingly.
So that is also the way that we're introducing C token within the PFP, which is it won't come
100% unlock on day one. It's not feasible because people would just dump and people would even sell the PFP. But what the
PFP does is in the future, there will be staking. And with the PFP, you get to have exclusive
in-game items, which give you further advantages in the game, and which also drives back to
more rewards and more prestigious status in the whole ecosystem.
So it's going to be a gamified loop. It's going to be fun. It's not going to be super
straightforward on day one. But if you are really a long-term contributor and you're
really bullish and passionate about the whole ecosystem, you will be with us for the long term and you will be rewarded.
So that is the second point I want to make,
like broader NHS and enchantment ecosystem.
And three is we teased about the utilities
and also the lore-related stuff is the tribe. So within the utilities, and also the lore-related stuff is the tribe, right?
So within the collection, there are actually six tribes,
and each tribe is tied to one element, right?
So you can imagine going forward,
there will be different combos and different bonuses, right? Like, imagine
if you have one from
each tribe and if you have
a few from the same tribe.
actually amazing
is right before this space,
you may have seen
it already, but there's a post from
Magic Eden X.
So basically, they just featured our collection,
and they made a cryptic tweet just now around their collection.
Let me pin it to the top of the Jumbotron for people to look at it.
Go for it, sorry.
Definitely.
I think they just leaked some alpha that even myself haven't leaked.
What they call the tribe bonuses.
So yeah, basically, you can imagine if you only have one common inferno,
But if you have a full set or you have this tripe bonus, you get to have a tripe bonus, which will add up in the long term.
like you have a certain amount of C token, right? But if you have a full set or you have this tribe bonus,
Right. So. So, yeah, that that's that's, you know, basically you you you you are going to be the prestigious being in this whole ecosystem. It's not just a single game. And then there's lore
behind everything.
And then you get to have tribe bonus.
Staking is coming together with TGE.
hopefully next week.
Ooh! Dropping the alpha!
Alpha, man! Dropping the alpha!
And as you were giving your take,
I was looking at the Live on X feed and also another Animoca brand
is actually hosting another space too.
Animoca is cooking.
I was like, it's a takeover right now.
It's a takeover.
But love it, love it.
I see a couple of hands here.
Maybe they went down or maybe he's rugging.
But I got to say what's up to Mo the head of uh tokenomics at what's up
yes guys how are you guys doing good to be in spaces with you again chin it's been a while
yeah yeah how you been mo what's up i've been good no i've just it's again i've come up just
to lend support and just say that like
the work chev and the rest of the team have been doing behind the scenes has been insane i remember
us talking about this nft man over a year ago and chev was like let's wait until the ecosystem is
ready so kudos to him for the patience there as well not trying to jump on when nft started getting
hot again um i think the other the other side of it that Shev touched on, I think it's worth diving deeper into it,
is when we saw the NFT mania, if you like, of 21, it was people minting the PFPs first,
and then the ecosystem was built afterwards.
Whereas here, it's actually been the reverse approach, where an ecosystem, a community base has been built around chess,
and then the PFfp is coming and
the pfp is coming closer to the launch of the token um and i feel this is something maybe you
can argue there's a new meta coming out where ecosystems and communities are building first
and then those who are the most active are being rewarded and really that those who have been
whitelisted it's a form of reputation because you've proved your reputation you've proved your
value to the ecosystem and then you're being whitelisted, it's a form of reputation because you've proved your reputation, you've proved your value to the ecosystem.
And then you're being whitelisted to a very small supply.
Like I think we've moved past like the 10K or 8,880 mints.
It's 960 NFTs.
You've just heard Shev going into a bit more detail around the tribes.
So holding one NFT is probably not enough.
So I remember like me and Shev were texting earlier in the week and I was like, listen, I'm going to mint mine,
and I'm going to sweep a few.
And I'm regretting not having swept more,
so I'm probably going to wait for the price to dip down a bit again
before trying to sweep and then post-reveal,
making sure that I've got my six different tribes.
But again, full credit to Shev, the rest of the team.
The other aspect as well, we've seen when NFTs have dropped tokens
and they've unlocked
tokens um 100 100 unlocked to nft holders and more recently you can argue this was um
pengu with pudgies or anime with uzuki we saw that the impact on the price of the nft and the
price of the tokens so we know this 100 unlock for nft holders doesn't work and there's actually
a negative price action so the approach that's being taken for me is a breath of fresh air
let's give some rewards now and at least if these nfts trade hands there's value in holding these
nfts in the future as well versus let's just airdrop a large supply let people cash out and
then we're left wondering why is the nfc down 90
plus why is the token down 95 plus so big kudos to shev and the rest of the team um you're talking
about animoka taking over we were on a space maybe a couple of hours ago with one football
as well and really the reason i'm mentioning that is you've got in the partnership of chess.com
you have a big player base in web 2 who are adopting any chess with one football you've got in the partnership with chess.com, you have a big player base in Web2 who are adopting any chess.
With OneFootball, you've got a pre-existing user base
of tens of millions of users in Web2 who will transition to Web3.
So I think what we're starting to see is a very different approach
to how we can onboard new users, new community members
into the Web3 ecosystem through sports,
through things that people are passionate about,
or it's not just about the financial return, but it's about being a part of something bigger
and really leveraging Web3 tech as an enabler versus you get ownership, like all of the
lovely buzzwords we hear in the space that don't really resonate or people in Web2 don't
care about.
So I think the approach being taken is super solid.
And again, just to reiterate
like the c token it's starting within any chess and chess.com but it's going to grow to more
ecosystems in the future as well so for me the fact that the nft price is where it is now i'm
just frustrated that i'm not at my laptop being able to sweep more because i can see with again
i'm a mathematician 960 supply a, healthy airdrop coming in.
I mean, I'm not allowed to say anything,
but you guys can speculate on what the NFT should be worth.
Maybe I should leave it at that before I get told off.
Yeah, I was going to say, Mo, maybe.
But no, Mo, you know one thing, Mo,
you mentioned that is really interesting.
Like you said, I feel like it is changing.
The meta is changing from the last bull cycle in 21.
It's product first, right?
Building out something,
building out the community and then, you know,
slowly, you know,
launching the NFTs,
the tokens
and then also
having that as a utility.
Yes, I'm using the word utility,
but actually a real utility of why,
what does NFT in the token do
to the ecosystem, right?
Enhances the game itself, enhances the product itself, right? Versus I feel like in the token do to the ecosystem, right? Enhances the game itself,
enhances the product itself, right?
Versus I feel like in the past,
it was just like, okay,
we're going to get all these users.
Okay, we're going to tease this game.
In order to get the users,
we're going to have the token,
we're going to have NFT.
But the game's not ready yet.
The game's not ready.
It probably won't be ready until like 30 years,
but we're still going to do that.
We're moving to find some games
we'll never be ready but
that's true a lot of them yeah yeah i agree i mean it's it's like the hardest thing to do in
web3 is find product market fit and i like i genuinely believe nhs has found pmf within the
web3 community and we saw the competition that was on a couple of months ago where you had yeah
and magnus carlson and luca amongst others having a competition and the amount of hype that was on a couple of months ago where you had Yaa and Magnus Carlsen and Luka amongst others having a competition and the amount of hype that was generated.
When I say hype, not just Web3 style hype,
but actually in Web2 where people are excited.
Chess is a game that hasn't changed, if we're being honest,
for hundreds if not thousands of years.
And for us to be able to iterate on this,
get the buy-in of the grandmaster of chess himself
and the buy-in of chess.com,
I think that speaks volumes for what Annie Chess is doing.
And again, chess is the very first step.
And I akin it to the Amazon play.
Like Amazon, when it started, wasn't this big beast that challenged everything at once.
It started off with books.
And once it cornered the market in books,
it went into films and DVDs at the time, if you remember those.
And then it spread
and and it became as opposed to being like a specific vertical it became this horizontal layer
which tapped into every vertical and i can see any chess doing something very very similar with
the c token as well where we're taking over chess first and then we can start to branch out into
other verticals and other ecosystems so for me that's what's really exciting from a long-term play.
And the short-term play, like Shev was saying,
is obvious.
It's the staking.
It's the access to the millions of users signed up,
to chess.com as well.
There are more games coming.
There are other discussions taking place,
which in time will come out
and the community will learn more about.
So all in all, it's a great time to be in Web3
and it's a good time to be within the NHS ecosystem right now.
Yeah, 100%, 100%,
Mo. Mo, really appreciate you
showing up, showing support, and
yeah, kind of sharing your views as well.
Definitely, it's always great to hear from you.
And I know we're closing out the space. I know we had
a couple of hands, so let me go to the hands
and then I'll hand the mic over
to Jeff for any closing thoughts.
But guys, it's been an amazing, amazing space.
I just pinned to the top of the Jumbotron that literally it's like an Animoca space takeover right now.
We have the Mochaverse going on.
We have NHS going on.
So really appreciate you guys showing support.
But I believe, Marhab, you had your hand up.
You've been really patient.
I don't know if it looks down to me, but maybe still.
I'd love to go to you. and then I'll go to Greenity,
and then I'll go to Trev.
I raised my hand to know how the whitelist were distributed,
but you guys already answered.
And I wanted to ask about both of the C token,
why the need of it in the ecosystem?
And also, you guys pretty kind of
answered about it but like i'm curious curious enough to see like ah like you guys mentioned
like staking and all that stuff but like do you guys really think you need a token for
maybe the success of the product like you already have have your users, you already have a winning product.
But why do you guys believe you need this token to happen?
Yeah, actually, Merhap, bro, thank you very much for hopping in and asking this question. I think, as I have mentioned previously,
around the ChatMate ecosystem,
we are trying to forge the next generation
of strategic gaming and strategic projects
in the web-free space
and branching out,
bringing in the Web2 audience as well. And we believe that in Web3, there isn't
one project or one token that is really positioned themselves to do that. So imagine we have
the communities coming in from chess.com and And then we have this one big chess app
that we're speaking to.
And then we have a bunch of, you know,
web-free IPs that we can partner with,
for example, already done with, you know, Pudgy Penguins.
All that add together,
we are kind of in different ecosystems,
but there's definitely a whole big market
that is around competitive,
like strategic kind of personalities, mindsets.
And this token is aiming to bring all these people together
in the same ecosystem,
where whatever you imagine,
whatever you do,
you add value, right?
Maybe you play this one game in any chess,
you gain these tokens
and you can spend in another strategic way.
Or actually what we have launched
in the Checkmate ecosystem before
is what we call the Genius Index.
It actually tracks your trading performances, it tracks your chess elos,
and it gives you this overall intelligence score.
And imagine that score, you can use it in the whole Checkmate ecosystem
and for some other projects to use it directly as a reputation proof.
So I just feel like the core reason why we need a token is because this community itself is huge.
And strategic, and gamers, chess players, when you bring them together,
it's a massive population that we can tap into.
And there's no one single token
that can bring them together culturally
and financially and reputationally as well.
And that's kind of the vision that we're building
with the whole ChetMaker system,
starting with any chess game,
bring in the chess.com people, and then we can extend out to maybe casual chess players,
as well as other, let's say the poker community and the rest of the strategic gaming communities,
Communities
Bring them together
And build it from there
So hopefully
That is able to answer
The question
But am I tripping?
Because I'm seeing like
800 of other listeners
And just now
I was looking at 2,000
I was going ask ask you in
in in the chat i was like dude who was it who was it who brought the bots who was it we had an
organic we had organic 80 live listeners and climbing guys and climbing again i appreciate
it guys but uh anyways you know when you said that it went back down to 600. It was hilarious.
Those bots, those critters, those cockroaches, those, yeah,
that's what we call it right in Cantonese.
But anyways, I see a hand here.
So let me go to Granite and then I'll go to Trevor for closing thoughts.
Again, guys, really appreciate you guys staying for the whole space.
I know some of you guys have been here since the beginning.
So really, really appreciate it.
Again, guys, the Mint is live right now.
And Magic Eden just posted it on their official page.
And so feel free to take a look.
I pinned it to the top of the Jumbotron.
Let me do it again.
But yeah, again, guys, thank you so much for being here.
But Mr. Goody, I see your hand up.
And then, yeah, and then we'll go to Trev for closing thoughts.
Yeah, man. here but uh mr goody i see your hand up and then uh yeah and then we'll go to trev for closing thoughts yeah man i actually just wanted to take the opportunity once more for a quick glaze because after what i've heard around here i have to admit i'm super i'm super impressed
and that just for a variety of factors i mean nhs and also like answering this question from Merhab kind of tapped into this already really well.
And this was kind of my point that I wanted to tap in beforehand.
Is that in my opinion, yo, this kind of bridges perfectly this interest of like a usual, you know, web2 approachable game.
And as you guys said already, chess is something that is known by almost everybody on this planet, I guess.
And it's something that is very easy to be part of.
And with this token incentive that was, I don't want to say criticized, but that was questioned beforehand,
question beforehand.
I would say that this is super smart.
I would say though that this is super smart
just for the fact that
not everybody that is going
to jump into this platform is
going to be a pro chess player.
So what should be the incentive
for anybody jumping onto this platform
if it's not like a rewarding
structure that ties into content
creation, into mindshare, into
reach. It's kind of like
combining gaming with infofi and
in my opinion yo i'm super surprised that i've never seen this before but you guys are doing
an amazing job here because i have the feeling that this is very much underestimated also from
like a web 3 compartment right because many web0 community users are once more just going to see, like,
the rewards and what they're going to get out of it.
And I'm going to get a social score
and that might be tied to an airdrop.
You know what I'm talking about?
But from a Web 2.0 compartment,
Sorry, I had to laugh. I'm sorry.
No, good. All good.
But from a Web 2.0 compartment,
nobody is going to care about those things, right?
They are most likely going to jump in there because they are going to enjoy chess.
And if they then get rewarded, even if they have, I would say, worse or not well parties, let's just say it like that, right?
Maybe you lose, have a losing streak of like 10 games or whatsoever, but you still get rewarded through your activity.
And this is also something that is tempting
for Web2 gamers, like solely gamers
and not just for us around here,
because this is kind of a reward structure.
And this might tie a little bit too much
into Web3 gaming, right?
But somebody that I had on MySpace once said,
if you create a game in web 3
then you have to focus on the gamers and that is very true because everybody around here in web 3
is going to jump in there because of the rewards anyways but what are gamers actually doing gamers
are spending whatever they get inside a game if the game is good inside the game once more right
so those token incentives are not going to just reward
people around here that are going to flood in because we all Web3 users and we want to get our
allocation, but it's also going to be very interesting for Web2 user compartment. And this
is, in my opinion, something that from all those gaming segments that I've seen throughout the last
couple of months, I have never seen figuring out properly because the main focus was always on Web3 and how do we
get the people in here in. But let's be honest, if you announce something like this, and especially
if it's tied to Animoca somehow, right, then this is going to be big or make waves in Web3 regardless.
So the focus should be on Web2
and those people that you want to get in there for adoption.
And in those terms, guys, for real,
shout out to you.
I have to say it right now
because I had a lot of gaming projects also in MySpaces
and I've never heard a concept like this.
So shout out, for real, doing great.
Amen. Amen, brother.
Thank you so much. Yeah, Gun gotta get you this i gotta hit you with
this that was so amazing yeah and yeah i totally agree with you like and the web 2 focus but yet
having that web 3 element is something that and how does the web 3 element enhance the experience
is something that i feel like again games are slowly getting used to it right getting there and we're seeing like what you guys
are doing at NHS but yeah that's definitely so well spoken and also like in terms of playing
the game right like adding different elements like web 3 elements of it like the pengu stuff
the other stuff uh to make it spice it up right to make it fun and make it uh living out the
playing field too, right?
Adding those elements is definitely cool to see.
So yeah, really appreciate that take there, Mr. Green.
That was definitely a great take there.
And it's also, it's always good to hear from you too,
because I know you speak to, honestly,
all types of Web3 founders and stuff
with what you do, right?
Hosting spaces as well.
So yeah, really appreciate that.
TQ, I see you got your hand up.
What's up?
Just want to give a shout out to mr greenity for all the hard facts that he just dropped listen the gamers are tired right of of like broken promises and seeing a spark of inspiration
somewhere but then it falls off into this kind of rabbit hole of just trading games
right yeah i say it all the time like trading is a game as it is and whenever i advise games and
and they come to me and say tq how do we get the gamers how do we get the gamers you gotta think
as a gamer and you you know gamers don't really care about how much things are especially like
you said if they love the game heck i can't even imagine how much i spent in games at this point
already but it's like there's no one building for us before when you want to be a gamer gamer and
you want to earn money and be incentivized you have to be pro you have to be in esports now with anachess and you know opportunities
that are created by teams that is behind such games like anachess we can have incentives even
just by being ourselves as creators as normal gamers and as someone who's stumbling upon the
space so greenity you're you're awesome with all that truth bombs for the gamers.
Somebody has to think about the gamers here, right?
And it's Anichest.
So, I just want to say, Chin, you got to come clean.
It's your bots, not mine.
But, no, really.
It's just crazy.
You guys have been talking about that.
It was you.
It was you.
I don't know how to do that.
We need to settle this in chess, Chin.
And a chess, yes.
I'm not just ready with that pudgy thing.
I don't even know what it does,
but I'm just going to keep doing it until I beat you.
But anyways, no, TQ, really appreciate you being here.
And I think you made a really good point,
you know, since your background, right?
Being part of X Infinity and all that.
It's just, yeah, like,
really giving what the gamers want, right? Not the DGens, right? Being part of X Infinity and all that. It's just, yeah, like, really giving what the gamers want, right?
Not the DGens, right?
Not the ones that want to alpha drop,
I mean, airdrop hunters,
but the real gamers, right?
That's where I think we see Web3 Gaming
in the general as an industry as a whole
going towards is finding,
you know, making a game that's fun.
I know we always talk about that. It's pretty explainable. But yeah, like, making a game that's fun. I know we always talk about that.
It's pretty explainable.
But yeah, like making a game that's fun, it's playable, right?
And adding the, why the Web3 element is it
to enhance the gameplay, enhance what's being out there.
And hopefully, eventually, right?
We won't even call it Web3 gaming.
We'll just be called gaming, right?
And then when the element of using the blockchain
to enhance the experience. And so again, we're seeing that seeing that right not only nhs but we're seeing even these
big web 2 gaming games right like maple story coming in in web 3 and so it's cool to see right
that the shift uh and changing the tides and stuff like that and so uh yeah really appreciate that
tq really appreciate everyone here for being here again for the whole hour and a half.
It's definitely been a really, really fun time.
Again, The Mint is live for NHS.
Feel free to check it out in their accounts.
And if you haven't followed them,
highly encourage you to follow them.
And also, guys, highly encourage you to follow everyone
here in the panel as well.
But before we close, Trev, the alpha man himself, is there any last things you
would like to say to the community? Any last alpha you would like to share? I know you mentioned the
review date too. I don't know if you want to repeat that, but yeah, before we close.
But yeah, hopefully the review day is next week, but the latest will be next one to two weeks.
But I mean, wrapping this up,
I'm truly inspired by this panel,
to be very honest.
I think, you know, like God is with us
and God is blessing this industry.
this industry, I think GameFi is far from over. And I think we have to start moving,
I think GameFi is far from over.
not really differentiating Web3 and Web2 games, but as an industry, there's just games, right? And by definition, games is what people like to spend
time voluntarily, right? Just like how I drop chess, I spend almost 10 years of my time playing
League of Legends, and then I play poker. You know, I don't really, I really truly enjoy these games when I play and anything on top is really a bonus.
Right. So as an industry, I think we should just collectively stop, you know, building something just for the Web3,
because to be honest, we're still at infancy.
And we need to have a game that really gels both Web2 and Web3 communities.
And we do believe that chess potentially is the first and very unique answer.
It's proven by time.
The innovation is playable.
Even the top grandmasters are on board and then we have
the biggest ecosystems you know with between both web 2 and we're free so if we're not working um
i i don't know you know who who is working at this point um in this mission. But yeah, I mean,
I think collectively as in this industry,
we just need to stop farming out one another.
Like to me, meme coins are fun,
but at the end of the day,
it's just a matter of who dump first, right?
And then like casino games are fun, but the house always wins, right? And then, like, casino games are fun,
but the house always wins, right?
And, like, Moon or Doom is fun,
but it's just 100% degen,
and it's just, you know,
it's just basically, you know, casino games.
And InfoFi is fun,
but at the end of the day,
look at Yep Yo, look at Laudio.
Those are, again, if you're not being genuine, if you're not being who you are,
eventually you will also lose your followers.
No one will be.
If people are just there for the reward, then people are not going to stick around.
And that's the reality.
And when people don't do stuff for the reward,
they actually like the game.
They actually stick around.
So I think that is the core difference
between Web2 platforms and Web2 games
where a lot of communities,
a lot of users,
a lot of DAUs,
and they don't really care about the rewards,
like Candy Crush, for example.
People are just playing it on the Metro, right?
Like from a kid up to your grandma, maybe,
they are playing Candy Crush because it's just fun, right?
But what Web3 is transforming the space is
because they're willing to spend their time, they actually get rewarded because they are contributing to the ecosystem, whether they know it or not.
So the whole mindset should really shift in a way that build that product for your community, build that product that people actually use and actually like.
And the reward is just a bonus
and icing on the top
coming in their way
in a really easy to understand
and like the UI UX is just seamless
and they suddenly one day they realize,
oh, I can actually sell this thing.
I can actually transfer this to that.
I can actually, you know,
cash this out and actually make a living out
of it. This should come
after the product and
after the community.
So I guess that's my
mic drop right there. I think this is really
a wake-up call for the
entire space.
I think we're
far from over and and gamefy
it's far from over because this is the most this has the you know most community that understands
what is digital collectibles and digital items and ownership and um yeah i think gamefy is
definitely far from over and this industry is far from over and
God bless the space.
Dang. On that note,
guys, thank you so much
so much for being here again.
Trev, really appreciate you
hosting us, the NHS, and again
guys, the Mint is live
right now. Feel free to take a look
at the NHS account with the pinned post.
Right now, it's the whitelist spot.
And also, the secondary is open too.
And then Magic Eden just posted as well.
So I pinned that to the top of the Jumbotron.
And yes, guys, I know sometimes when Magic Eden posts something,
it might not, you know, with the alpha sometimes they post.
But yes, it is real.
It is real.
on reg eden right now as well and secondary again guys thank you so so much for being here and thank
you trev for being here i know it's late your time but again guys uh hopefully you guys get a chance
to check out the nhs uh platform i know definitely i will and definitely uh i'm feeling a little
formal about this nft so definitely go take a look at them,
seeing what is up again,
Thank you so much for being here.
