Spenn, how do you actually evaluate the season one?
How do you see that?
Did you have like some KPIs that you measured or?
Yeah, I would really love to hear from you.
Yeah, I think, you know, we try to look at it as a holistic approach and just, you know,
try a lot of these things can't be quantified.
Some of the things can, you know, like amount of quest on how many users are played, all
that, and of course, we're taking that into account, but it's also, you know, the spotlight
platform was spun up as a tool to, you know, one, highlight our various communities, our
various builders, and two, also give highlight our various communities, our various builders,
and two, also give the individuals who are supporting those builders and supporting these
tools and communities, you know, a way to kind of, one, show more love for them and
two, climb up the ranks individually.
So that was kind of the idea of, you know, the two community leader boards.
It felt like this season was a success overall.
I know we had a couple bumps along the road, you know, could have been better communications
like Rita said, you know, switching the game, moving the goalposts.
Even if we said that we were gonna do that from day one, you know, we learned
those kind of drastic moves should one, probably be communicated clear, and two, if so, if they end up being very,
very impactful to the program, then maybe reevaluate pushing them.
So, you know, those are definitely things we are keeping in mind for the revamp season
and just wanting to make it a better all-around experience for everybody that participates,
whether it's from the communities or whether it's from individuals as well.
So, you know, no direct KPIs, you know, we could throw out some cool numbers.
Like we did get a good bit of quest complete.
There were, you know, a decent amount of participants, but we're keeping those
close to the chest and may share those publicly at a later date.
Man, I didn't know that it was built by Snack Solutions.
It's funny because we've hosted them September 2022.
We hosted Snack Solutions here for the first time.
It's crazy.
Time really, really flies.
So yeah, but it was great to see
how many people actually participated,
especially at the end, like all the projects were like,

that people actually connected with someone here
and started building together.

continue to work with them for the revamped and much better season coming in the future.
So we just ended season one.
Do you have a timeframe when the season two will start?
I could probably give you that if I was the orange background and you could squeeze me
for the juice, but Aquamarine Gang, we're silent.
I would definitely expect it to be not soon, like not in the coming week or two, so we'll
definitely let people, we'll give people a better heads up on when the next revamped
season of Spotlight will come during this intermission.
But you guys can feel good to relax, get a nap, you know, hold
your NFTs of course, because the NFTs that were used as multipliers will play a factor
in the next season. But outside of that, you know, you have a little breather now. My fault,
Rita. Go ahead.
When are the prizes going to be given out?
Yeah, so we're working on giving out the raffle prizes daily and then the larger prizes for
the top four people like the BAYC in the coming weeks, so very soon.

Something that you thought won't work and that did work and opposite?
Yeah, I mean, honestly, it was the community scoring that we had started with,
which we shifted to the score delegation, right? I think we ideally, ideally the group sharing, you know, it was thought of to be
a way to amplify communities together, right? Where, you know, of course, if you hold all
the communities that you hold, we're getting all the points that you received. It turned
out not to really work as we expected. Of course, at the beginning, it was great. Communities
were elevating themselves. People were connecting. But then it kind of turned into, you know, maybe an airdrop
meta and kind of harder for maybe the louder communities that have smaller collection, like
collection size to be able to move through the leaderboards, which was kind of a downfall of the
cross-point sharing, which is why we did end up pivoting to the score delegation which allows you to direct your points to the collections that you preferred.
So of course that may that needed that needs excuse me, that needs some more touching up,
but we'll definitely finalize that and make it have it in a way better place. But I think
it was definitely interesting to see the way that the last few days ended up playing out where the score delegation,
like Web3Gasby was talking about, he had to walk away, right? Because the Reels were going from 9 to 11 to 10 to 4 to 7 to all over the place.
And yeah, it helped bring a little bit more excitement. It did kind of foster a little PDP-esque, but I did also see other communities riled up together,
right? Like Casey and the Chumps founder reaching out to communities that maybe were a little too
far out the pack and trying to align with them and seeing that across the board. So overall,
I believe it was a decent change. And, you know, of course we did learn, we did learn that this
community will gamify things outside of our normal scope of seeing it.
So you just got to be ready for anything these apes throw at you.
Whether it's bananas, poo or whatever.

happening? How is it going? What is the plan with that? Like, do you pick some

Yeah, so it has been a current mix. The sweeps will be going on throughout the
week. So again, like you probably already know, it didn't all happen on one day.
It is a mix. We are going to be scooping up some grails, scooping up some rares, as well as, you know, sweeping the floor and just kind of keeping an eye on, you know, listings, the overall market
conditions and seeing where maybe the sweep can be most impactful as it comes out. So definitely
keep your eyes peeled. And we're going to be looking to the community. You might squeeze a little alpha out of me here, but keep your eyes peeled for the winner announcement tweet today.

It gave a lot and I can speak for myself and also for other builders. I see Gatsby here. I still see some other people who released their collections,
which were part of it.
And for smaller collections, it's very hard
to get any kind of spotlight.
So it was amazing to see that it got some traction.
People were actually collecting, selling, listing, delisting and stuff like that.
I think it was amazing. It was very helpful for many of us who release collections on Apechain.
So I just wanted to say thank you for that. Of course, again, there are things, there might be some issues, some whatever, but it got community together again.
And I think the excitement that was going on, I think was amazing.
And I had so much fun with it.
So, Spenn, maybe what is the thing that excites you most out of it?
What was something that you are taking away?
Like just one thing that like, wow, this was the best moment of the season one.
Yeah, I mean, you know, one, I really appreciate you building on Ape Chain and, you know, thanks
for the excitement. For me, honestly, I think it was the smaller creators and just their kind words
and their excitement around, you know, the Spotlight program. You know, we've seen people
like Bush babies, seen people across the board just, you know, maybe if they didn't win, they
still felt like a winner for being included and, you know, just being a part or maybe
they got new community members through the spotlight.
And I think that was kind of the main, the main goal of this, right?
Like it's literally called spotlight.
So, you know, shine the light on, on all the builders that we can.
And you know, of course, I know we missed a good bit of, you know, various builders
that maybe came in later in the season or couldn't get through
the wait list. But we do have those folks in mind and we'll definitely have them in mind for the
upcoming season. I really loved that there was also points per I think holders or something like
that. I'm not sure how it was but at at one point I think that was my collection was on the second or third place, which was amazing because you know even for
for collections with like really small like small tiny ones and with with a small number of holders,
it gets them you know excited and and you're like really seeing that you're doing something good. So
