All right. I trolled myself. I played myself. Good morning. Welcome to the Community Hour.
I really wanted a response about that damn music, but I...
So, Manny, did you hear it? You heard it?
Yes, yes. I wasn't fucking excited, man. For you.
Man, it's like... It's only on Fridays, all right? I think I'm getting the cadence here.
I think we only get music on Fridays. Maybe it's like a cadence that they've got going
where I only get access like every six or five days or something. I don't know. I don't
know. But if it's only Fridays, I can work with that. At least I know what to expect.
What's up, Mr. Height? Welcome up.
GM, guys. A very exciting week for us with the new APIs. AIPs, man. I'm fucking dev.
AIPs. Yeah. Very, very excited ones. The one with the mission statement is the one huge
that's giving us a lot of tools to create proposals and to spread the world and to have
like a one team, you know, one dream, one world. And that's an exciting one. And also
the walking group, guys. That's another exciting day.
I love it. Don't forget, you all know you're here. You know, when I say love it, you got
to do 10 push-ups or 20 squats. I'm not doing it because I just moved a three-person home
into a truck. So I'm doing zero squats. I might do a couple push-ups. We'll see. If
you saw the amount of stuff that I moved and you saw me, you wouldn't believe it. I'm going
to take pictures so you can see it. But I put up this toolbox and it's like for truckers
and it's like one of those big red ones that has like 50 shelves. And that thing must have
weighed like 300 pounds. But I got it up in the truck by myself. Bolo. Solo. Alone.
Me. To the face. Yeah. Chris knows me. Is that believable, Chris? That's pretty crazy.
It's all those push-ups you've been doing, man. You're swoller than Lou Ferrigno when
he turns into the Hulk, bro. So I got no question that you could move like a three-person home
single-handedly in one trip, man. I got all the faith in the world in you, brother.
Hell yeah. Welcome up, Chris. Love to see it. Love to hear it.
GM, GM. Yeah, I was just about to ask actually how the move was going, but you're still in
the truck, huh?
Yeah, I got my last load here in the truck and I got a couple of my cactuses back at the
other place that I got to pick up. I like cactuses. They're low.
Maintenance. They're like three generations into the family. You clip them, replant them,
you plant them, maybe give them... I believe the proper nomenclature will be cacti for more
than one cactus, my friend. So, you know, get it straight. I expect more of you. I expect
more of you, friend. I need that. I need these. I need these corrections. So cacti, I got a
whole forest, a whole garden. I've got a flock. I don't know what the right term for it is.
It's a gaggle. It's a gaggle of cacti. I think that's right. Don't fact-check me on that.
Yeah. And so interesting thing with the cactus, it actually went through the pot. I had a plastic
pot. And so when I moved the pot, it started leaning and tipping towards me. It actually
poked me a little. And so the cactus had rooted itself through the plastic pot into the ground
considerably. So this is going to be a fun, fun experiment. Um, that's going to be the funnest
part of the move for sure is the, uh, like 12 foot, 15 foot cactus that I need to trim and keep in the
family. So yeah, SSP, I'm going to send you the co-host invite and I'm going to say good morning at the
same time. We're going crazy. What's up, man? I love it. Look, he can't even respond because I sent
him the co-host and the, yeah, love it. Fuck them up. Good. Grumpy, are you just rugged?
I think Friday's geo blocks Grumpy's mic and, uh, enables your music. That's it. It's like a
switcheroo. All right. So Friday's full Grumpy rug, but we got music. So yes, sir, man, that's a
vibe. Yes, sir. That's a totally different vibe, right? No, no grump, all vibes. Well, Grumpy,
I, I'd love for you. Uh, I'd love to hear your voice Grumpy. Let me, let me, let me check one of
our channels here. No, let me, I can't hear you. All right. Boom. I'm standing up today. Normally I'm
sitting down and I feel especially energetic. So I think we're going to have a good stage.
Um, join us up here. We, uh, we'd love to hear from the community. This is the community hour.
I don't want to spend the whole time talking up here, although I am very, uh, motivated and excited
to be with you all. I would rather hear some of the things that you guys are talking about. I know
there are some elections going on. I see, um, we've also obviously got Chris here being onboarded to the
discourse facilitator, um, initiative. So there you'll start to see, um, some of these members that
were recently elected, just the, the two here, Chris and 12 gauge, um, at onboarded to that initiative.
And you'll begin to interact with them there on the forums. Um, so that'll be fun. I'm, I'm pulling
up my disclaimer here too. I can hear, hear grumpy now. I can hear him grumping. Uh, well, if grumpy
is going to stay rugged and it, okay, Chris, you can still hear me, right? I'm not rugged. Am I?
No, you're good. Everything good.
All right. I got to go first. I want to make sure I'm not talking to myself. I didn't see any crazy
emojis. So maybe should I, what, what's going on with grumpy? I sent this guy issues with my not
iPhone. Of course it's issues with your not iPhone. It's a not iPhone. That's the issue.
All right. We're an informal group of highly motivated and active members of the eight point
community. And everything we discuss is our personal opinion and not representative of the
eight point foundation. So we can't answer any questions on their behalf. And we're not here to
advocate for any of the AIPs. We are just providing the channel here to share information with the
community. And with that, again, love to have you up here on the stage with us. And before we get
started, if anybody has any questions, feel free to request to speak, uh, at any time or drop your
question in the bottom right-hand corner. We'll address it up here for you. You can send us a DM if
you prefer to remain anonymous with any of your questions too. So, yeah. Um, well, we've got a bunch
of AIPs here live, uh, for vote. Um, I don't have internet yet at my new place, but I have a very
powerful hotspot, which is working excellent. So I can see, um, very clearly here, everything,
and I'm ready and I'm hoping that SSB jumps at some point. Uh, and some, maybe you can jump up. Maybe
if you're not busy, cause I don't want to monologue up here. Otherwise I'm going to hand, I'm going to
make Chris the special co-host or something. Well, I know Grumpy likes Shakespeare, so I could just start
hitting y'all with some, uh, some sonnets and whatnot. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Oh, he can
hear me. He's reacting. Yes. Grumpy. Grumpy. Yo, you're making him proud. Whatever, whatever,
whatever it is, it's working as we're getting an emoji. Step down. Rough winds do shake the darling
buds of May and summer's lease hath far too short a date. For sometime too hot, the eye of heaven shines.
Grumpy, you got to jump in here, man. I'm going on. It's just getting, it's getting weird. Hello?
Yo, yo. Fucking ape with wisdom over here, man. That's, that's just wisdom. That was,
that wasn't even a quote. That was raw wisdom. That's on at 28, man. That's a, that's only
the beginning. I get you all day where I could just sit here and just spit them all day. But
I think, uh, we have more pressing ape coin community related issues to discuss. So, you
know, if we have to fall back on Shakespeare, I got you, but I'm just saying, you know, we got
bigger fish to fry today. I love it. I love being able to fall back.
On Shakespeare. Um, all right. Well, Grumpy, I see you took co-host. I see you responding.
I don't know if, maybe if we drop you and you come back, is that going to, is that going
to fix it? I don't know. Um, all right. I'm going to just start sending out invites to
the ape comps team because, uh, yeah, we'll get somebody up here with the working mic.
Fatith, good morning.
GM, GM, good to hear you last. Sounds like you've been very busy.
Very, very busy indeed. Um, yeah, very energizing too. And very invigorating, you know, you step,
step away. I'm here a lot. I'm very, very present on a day-to-day basis. So when you step
away, I tend to get things delivered. I don't even go out that much, right? Like if I can
get it delivered, it's coming to me when I do go out. And when I happen to get away for
regular amounts of time, it's very like apparent how, um, you know, sort of in our own echo
chamber, we really are. And not just in this stage. I mean, even in the thousand people stages
on Twitter, uh, no, nobody really knows who we are in the real world. So we definitely have
a ton of work to do. A lot of progress we can make. There's endless opportunities. So that's
exciting. Uh, we are truly early. Um, as much as we feel like we're late right now, I think
we're incredibly early when it comes to the rest of the world. But I also, I, you know,
occasionally like to do stuff and with my hands that doesn't involve talking on a Twitter space
or typing and it is really rewarding. So I'm glad, glad you got to touch some grass, even
though it came with a lot of, uh, a lot of heavy lifting. It sounds like. Yeah. Yeah.
I don't, I don't, I don't mind work. Work is fine. Work is good for me as long as, as long
as we're getting somewhere, doing something. It's cool. It's like still like a vacation.
We're getting at, we're getting out, we're doing stuff, meeting people. I see, uh, we've
got another orange background. We got a bomb. I see grumpy grumpy's emoting. You got voice
or no? Yes, I do. Woo. Woo. Woo. What did I miss? I missed the whole 11 minutes.
Yo, this is perfect. You're, you didn't, you didn't really miss, we didn't miss anything.
This is right in time because you need that first little bit to get everybody, you know,
together. So. Well, can I just add this? Um, yes. My crummy little not iPhone was giving
me issues and I'll just put a new mesh network in my house and it doesn't seamlessly connect
from each kind of node as it were. So I think that's part of the issue. So anyway, technical
glitches all around. Hey, happy Friday, everybody. So glad to be here on ApeCoin community hour
number 38. I absolutely love our community hours and hopeful today. Now that we're getting
busier and busier, I'm hopeful that we can get here some new voices from throughout the
DAO and throughout even people who aren't necessarily active in the DAO. Um, so come on up. Friday's
the community hour. Let's hit it. Woo. We got grumpy. Let's fucking go. And we got G. All
right. We got the muckers in here too. It's getting lit. What's up G. Good morning. GM,
GM. Thanks for having me up. Uh, great to be here. I, it's a kind of timely. I was just about
to get to some, uh, so-called web three work and, um, I'm going through, uh, notes that
I've been given. I'm part of the, uh, special council election task force with Mochaverse.
And so I'm going through these notes and I'm seeing like people's names in here and I'm
like, Hmm, maybe I could do a little multitasking and catch a few notes off you guys. Uh, I come
from motion pictures as you, uh, maybe recall from some of my, uh, comments and, uh, like my,
you know, I'm a veteran, right. Since 1997. And, um, so in motion pictures, uh, the authority
is on the note, right. It's all built on notes, right. So you go to these production meetings
and stuff and you bring back these notes. And so, um, I'm noticing it in the motion pictures
is very relatable to web three because we, you know, set up these, uh, projects and then
disassemble them and move on to the next and stuff. And, um, what I'm noting is, um, that
the, uh, um, Oh, sorry. Uh, sorry. I'm just gonna have to jump off mic. There's an emergency
outside. No, all good. It happens. Very real. Very real. Emergencies are very real. We got
Jerry. We got a, we got a emergency up here. We got no aquamarines, all oranges. Where's
captain trippy. Somebody got to represent aquamarines. I didn't even just hit the cry emoji. The
ape comms emoji just hit the by itself. Sorry, dude. Uh, I, uh, I'm very sorry. I just want
to give a little explanation. I live right beside a, uh, what's called a sky train station
in Vancouver. And, uh, anybody in North America can attest to the increasing immensity and
intensity of, uh, like trauma, mental health issues in the streets and whatnot. That sometimes
jumped into my space just to let people know that's a heads up by a disclaimer I need to
make possibly. Um, just a real, uh, button that one up, what I was going to say about notes.
Uh, I just wanted to finish that. I'm seeing, um, people give notes in spaces, right. It's very
akin to what I deal with, go to different meetings, get notes. And some of them don't necessarily
vibe. And so the more time you can spend in the spaces, you can see where the actual note that
has the authority is. And, um, you guys have the notes is what I wanted to say. So props to everybody
in here. And this is where I get my good notes, right. And verify my notes and come to chase down
a note too, as, uh, is very apparent by the audience here today. So shout out to you guys,
you guys are the jam. Uh, I gotta be honest. I'm pretty sure it was a community member that set up
any sort of notes that you're getting an access to. You said there was notes set up for this stage.
Sorry, I meant notes in terms of, we call them notes just in terms of like, I have to go to
the director and get the note on something. And so, um, just to say, uh, like an allegorical term
for, uh, the information, right. The little bit of information that you need to chase down.
And so, uh, I don't mean proper notes or, uh, minutes or anything like that related to an,
uh, you know, a proper parliamentary procedure or something. I mean, just if I need that note from
my department to go get from the director, I have to go chase that person down, try and bend
their ear some way and then bring back that note to a meeting. And so that's what I mean by
note. Got it. Got it. All right. And I see everybody laughing and before I let them fucking
laugh at me and I'll let them laugh at me. There's people have been setting up the note
things for the stages. So I got lost. All right, but go ahead. Laugh it up. Yeah, you're lost.
Um, I usually go back and listen to all of these spaces. Uh, I, I usually listen to all spaces
that are recorded at 1.5. I can't wait to listen to G is us at 1.5.
Yo, we love it. 1.5. Um, what, how do you do that?
Well, when you go back and listen to a spaces, you can increase the speed to 1.5 X. That way
you can save a lot of time, get all the same information. But of course, everybody's speaking
a little bit faster. So like right now, if you're going to go back and listen to me later
on, I'm going to sound like, like really fucking fast.
I'm spitting out the water. I'm trying to do great. Now you're hilarious.
That was pretty good, Jerry. That was pretty good. Uh, Jesus, do us a favor if you can.
Let's get the Mocha family over here. Um, pull up, pull up your, um, to retweets and get
the Mocha family in there. We want to hear from them today to copy that. I'm a geezer. Um,
you get the, uh, the title boomer. Uh, I'm going to take the title geezer and, uh, one
with metaverse indigestion. So, uh, and very bad at multitasking. So, uh, give me a second.
I'm going to stand down from this. Um, uh, and I'll be retweeting as you guys carry on.
Geezer. What a geezer. That's what we say. What a geezer.
Speaking of geezers, I'd say we got an aqua up here.
Yeah. We, we, we summoned one. Uh, maybe, uh, maybe we, we asked for the mochas, but,
uh, Captain Tripp, you got to find some aquas too. Maybe do a call for them too.
I wasn't sure if that was going to come at me or Trippie, but I'm glad that it landed on Trippie.
You're both geezers.
I had to put on my sunglasses, all that orange, that brightness in my face is, uh,
it's too much to handle.
Yeah. I should get my other account up here too. Cause really the ape comms,
cause it's me, right? So it's orange here too. We're technically, there's like six of us.
It's pretty deep. I don't know. I'm just saying we were even giving you guys a handicap.
You've got like a minus one handicap and we're still winning.
It seems like you need to increase the diversity of your spaces.
That's what I'm saying. We need those retweets.
Apecoin retweets, please.
Did your orange, did all your oranges get like a honorary orange NFTs today from, uh, Ben?
Was that a question? You heard about orange token yet?
No, no, stop, stop, stop it. Stop it.
Every, no, stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. I will interrupt until we just stop it.
There will be no more of that. Thank you.
We got Atari.
He's like a, like a peach color.
What's up? How's it going guys?
GM, GM. How's it going? I tuned into the game show, uh, last weekend. It was lit.
How's it going? What do you, what do you guys got for us? You got some alpha?
Um, I mean, we got, uh, I know elections are around the corner and so we got a nice little, uh, great Ape debate part two cooking up.
I know, well, bam, we talked about it at IRL. You were, that's one of the first shows you saw, uh, of ours back in December.
So we had to run it back for part two. I know we got some, some of, uh, not some, maybe just one of the special council, potential special council candidates up on stage with captain.
Oh, we've got a couple of us up here. Uh, it looks like what bam is, uh, is on here. Right.
You just made him a co-host.
You know, I didn't want to hit. Yes. I have to be honest.
Well, I'm trying to get bad teeth up here. What, what the fuck? Why did Jerry, Jerry, I'm trying to get back in my back.
See, look, you see how excited bad teeth was to get back. I'm back.
That was all I was trying to do. Come on. Look, we'll get, look, we'll get AA. We'll invite AA.
Why can I only have two co-hosts? What is going on? Grumpy's a co-host.
We'll be, we got this. We got this.
Feels like, we got this.
Feels like Friday.
This is, this is, this is community mayhem hour. If I have to feel mayhem in my home, in my real life, there has to be a little mayhem here in metaverse life too.
So this is only fair. AA, we got AA up here now. Amazing. Good morning.
GM, GM, how are you? How's your move? You done?
No, I'm done moving things out, but I have a truck full now and we got to rearrange and make everything fit.
So nearly done, but also just getting started. A little sleep, a lot of Red Bull, a lot of water.
So here we are.
How about you? How are you doing?
I'm good. It's my daughter's first day off of school. So kind of multitasking a bit.
Ooh, is that fun? Is that a fun, is that a fun first day off or is it, are we, are you getting ready to do some fun stuff for summer or what's that look like?
Yeah, well, she's got swim lessons starting and then we, I had a leaky pump that I had people come over. It's been kind of busy day.
Like in real life stuff.
I love it. You always got someone coming over to, to fucking, to do something. I think you're, I think AA is like low key. Like she got, I don't know. I'm not going to dox AA, but I don't know. She's always got people coming over doing stuff. I don't know. I'm just saying.
It's because my, my house is falling apart. It's not a good thing.
That's what I would say too. That's what I would say. I think you're being humble. I think you, you got like a mansion going on over there or something. I don't know.
So this is just speculation. This is total speculation. Um, there was an update in this cord. If you guys have been reading, uh, amp needs a few minutes. It's, uh, going to come at some point halfway through potentially. We'll talk about the ape assembly, but I want to address it and let people know that it's on the docket. We'll get to it. But I want to give amplify a chance for, uh, for him to address it. Uh, so they're just running off with the discussion based off of the announcement and any conversation.
Um, that was, we've had, uh, in the past. So we'll, we'll, we'll, we'll forego the ape assembly for now. And we do have now we'll bomb and captain trippy and Jerry and, uh, Atari. So did you have a question or something that you wanted, um, some feedback that you were thinking about asking about something?
Um, somebody had sent me an invite to be a speaker. So I hopped up on here. I was listening in and just kind of seeing what the discussion was. Um, I just got out of a meeting. So, um, I didn't have anything in particular right now myself.
Oh, well, no, I think you're one of the nominees. I was asking Atari cause he brought it up. I wanted him to,
Oh, my bad. No, no, it's all good. I mean, I want you to talk, but that was not a question for you. That one was for Atari. I want him to ask for something from you guys. Cause I thought he said he had, uh, some thoughts about everybody being up here.
Um, yeah, sorry. I was just getting out of an Uber and got sidetracked, but yeah, we got a lot of nominees up here and you know what? Maybe this is a question for Jerry or captain and what bam. And, um, if there's somebody else in the audience, that's also running, Jerry, what advice do you have for captain and what bam and others?
Get your message out. Tell as many people, make yourself valuable. And, um, yeah, I, I think my best piece of advice is just be honest with everybody. Uh, let them know like really like who you are, because I think a large part of this position is based on character. And I think that, um, just letting people get to know you better is, is a, uh, the best way for the community to, to judge your character.
And make the best, uh, and make the best decision. So, uh, I personally, when, when I ran kind of discarded some good advice that I had, um, which was to basically get in everybody's DMS and let them know like what I was about and, and just message everybody. And, um, I was going to kind of do that, but I, I'm not really good at self shilling.
So I just chose to kind of make myself valuable in other ways. And, and, um, I kind of regretted that, um, towards the end where I was like, yeah, I should have been in people's DMs.
So up until the last day, I was able to say, um, I had not been in anybody's DMs in the last day. I, I was shameless and I shilled myself and I probably should have been doing that the entire time.
And so really what I'm saying is to just, you know, spread the message. And, um, I feel like this is one of those opportunities where I know you guys are doing the best job that you can, uh, with damn show.
And Phil did a great job. And, you know, we, we just had lots of, um, I had lots of great opportunities last time to kind of get the message out on, on different spaces.
But I feel like, you know, in real world politics, there's, there's a push sometimes for, um, like public goods to fund candidates.
And I feel like that might be something that would be, um, valuable to a community if candidates, maybe not nominees at the beginning, and maybe this, this, this deserves a little bit more thought.
But, uh, I think that just getting the message out to as many people, um, without it just being like a popularity contest, like who's currently liked the most, but who's going to be liked the most based on their platform.
And if there was some kind of, uh, uh, committee or some kind of marketing tool where we were able to, um, showcase all of these, these people and give them the ability to, you know, get their message out to everybody better.
I think that it would be very beneficial. Um, but in the meantime, the best advice I can get until we have something like that in place is to, uh, take it one day at a time, take your breaks.
It's, it's a long, it's a long race. It doesn't feel like it, but those last few days are going to be a little stressful.
So, um, really just, just pace yourself, get your message out there, talk to as many people as you can, go on the spaces like you are and, um, showcase how you make yourself valuable and your character.
Right. I'm going to throw back to Atari for sure, but I had to sum and amplify up here just because you mentioned something that feels very firmly in Ape Assembly territory, um, in terms of sort of,
sort of supporting candidates and any sort of, you know, governance support. So, uh, I'm thinking about you amplify, but Atari follow up. Go ahead.
Yeah, I think that was great advice. I, I think what Apecoms is doing, I think there's other spaces and other opportunities to get your, um, messaging out there.
Obviously I have to plug the damn show because we're, like I said, we're running back the Ipcoin special council part two.
And I think we're going to have something bigger planned this time around than what we had last time.
And I know there's two rounds. There's the first with candidates and then there's the nominees. And so, um, I think last time we were still relatively new as a show.
And so it was difficult to try to get on some of the finalists. I know Bored Ape G and Jerry, you guys came on, um, for the first round. And so we ended up not doing anything for the final five, but this time around, I think we're going to be able to kind of host like a very, again, we're, we, we like to just, we like to just go all out and have fun with the theme.
And so this theme is, it's going to be very similar. There's going to be music, it's going to be CNN, but like for apes. Okay. And so, uh, it's, it's supposed to be fun, but I think it's going to be a great opportunity to get, uh, get your message out there.
And then what we're going to do is we're going to help amplify you guys as well, because we'll post clips afterwards of, you know, short snippets of you looking your best. And, uh, I think we want to give everybody an opportunity to be able to do that. Uh, because I think that that's, that's going to help get everybody's message out.
And I think putting a face as well, that's something unique we can offer is like, you can get your face out there. And, uh, and, and I think that definitely triggers something, uh, deeper. So that's, that's our part in all of this. And I know we, we got the grant and we, we talked about ApeCoin stuff and all of our episodes, episodes say powered by ApeCoin and we're implementing it as we go. But this is one of the things I had earmarked, uh, since really when we were in the grant processes, when the council elections come up, we're going to be able to do like a
full, a full, a full thing.
Damn show. It'll be damn network.
Is that me?
No, he said D's nuts.
I think he did too.
Oh, it didn't bleed me when I said it. Just him.
Uh, nobody's listening. Nobody's hearing you, Jerry. Atari, you're rugged, man.
Was I rugged?
Oh, no. I feel like we heard, we heard most of it.
I think it was good.
You, you cut out for a few seconds, but overall I think we got the message.
Yeah. You left off at D's.
Yeah, I just finished it off. It's going to be, it's going to be damn news, damn news network, DNN.
Oh, DNN. Damn it. Okay. Sorry. My mistake.
Oh, he really did say D's nuts. Man.
That's what I'm saying.
No, no, no, no. I didn't say D's nuts. DNN, guys. DNN. Not CNN, but DNN.
This is perfect. Again. Yeah, that's a hundred pushups.
Yeah, you said it twice. You said it with your title and then you just flat out said it.
We got it recorded too. This is recorded.
Um, ah, this is amazing. I love to hear that. I feel like, um, I mean, I can't wait to watch those.
I can say that very, very happily, very clearly. Um, so I'd be tuning in and watching that.
There should be at least one or two. I mean, you've got to work those in there like Atari for the, uh, like there, there have to be a few trick questions in there for some, some, uh, guests on the show.
You, you, you have to have a devour joke or something, throw something in there.
Candace, maybe you could, you could, you could ask a, yeah, you could have some kind of, uh, you could have some specific questions referring to Candace trivia or, or devour trivia.
Uh, you know, somebody will ask the right question and it'll be perfect.
Yeah. You could set them up to like ABC or D. And if they get the question wrong, it's these nuts. Yeah. Yeah. I'm liking where this is going. This is the, this is, this is what, this is what Fridays are all about.
See, somebody asked me like, what's this show about? And I'm like, Fridays aren't really like about anything, but the community just hanging out. So I'm, I'm, I'm letting it loose today. I actually do have an appointment in 30 minutes. So it's not like I can smoke. I plan on smoking early today though, but, um, maybe I'll come back on. You guys will probably still be yapping after my meeting anyways.
No, we're clearing that 30 minutes. I got shit to do guys.
That's fair enough. And talking about that, we've got some several hands up to Mr. Hype, Bad Teeth and Jesus.
Let's go with that. Bad Teeth was up first. And Mr. Hype.
I just, uh, about got taken out by a rogue wave trying to get to my microphone button right there. But, um, what I was going to say is I love the community effort that's gone into sharing candidates, information and profiles and people.
Um, but I just, it makes me so excited to finally get a marketing and comms working group up and running so that they actually can communicate the important stuff that's going on in the DAO.
So it seems like the perfect place to focus on, you know, these are the people that want to be on the special council.
These are the people running for steward positions. These, these are the things happening in the DAO.
So just that comms function, um, will be incredibly valuable along with the stuff that he needs doing as we move forward.
Are you at the beach? Are you standing in the ocean right now?
You're in a beach?
My left foot is now wet because I was like trying to run up some stairs before a wave got me.
You're such a bum. Move on to somebody else.
It's Friday. Let's do this.
He sounded like he's running into the ocean. Like he said that he ran off.
Yeah. Thanks, Bantith. That's wonderful. Marketing and communications charter hasn't, hasn't actually gone up, right?
AIP hasn't gone up yet for votes or it's still in admin review.
Um, but for the rest of the community to, to also know is that it's such a heavy lift marketing communications that there's going to be an opportunities,
wide opportunities actually for a lot of the communities to get involved in helping, not just what we do in the DAO,
but also to support the authors of AIPs and what they're trying to do with their proposals where marketing communications can help too.
So I think there's going to be a lot, a lot of great opportunities and, um, places for people to come on in and provide their value as well.
Mr. Hype, you are next. What's up?
Hey, SSP. Uh, I would like to shout out to the DAO community here.
We, in the couple of months, uh, we create a wonderful journey together.
Uh, we have awesome elections. We have awesome people that push things forward.
Also, Volkan with his data that he shared with us.
And I want to share with you something that I was very, very happy to see about how our process of reviewing things start to, to showing much more, uh, improvement.
And that's because we, we're creating more and we're pushing forward and we want to create much more efficiently.
And for example, right now we see the Mochaverse joining us and the AIP that is much more in a long-term vision.
I'm very excited and see that kind of, uh, process that we're doing.
And it's, it's a wonderful, yeah.
So shout out to all of you guys.
And that's a wonderful journey that we're doing together.
And as everyone's saying, we are very, very early.
So kudos to all guys and exciting election season.
It's election season.
All right.
Um, and just so everybody remembers, we've basically got about two weeks of campaigning and about two weeks of voting.
So just know that generally speaking, June is going to be very, very busy in the Dow and election season.
Uh, Jesus with the Mochaverse.
Welcome back.
What do you have to say?
Thank you again.
Uh, so I'm being brought up to speed through all of this and thank you for all of that.
That's really what I'm being tasked with.
Uh, those of you who have seen me in the space know that.
And, um, we are very much trying to build the bridges and, uh, you guys are doing it from the other end.
Um, and so very much appreciate that.
One of the, um, things that I'm learning about is the damn show.
And I'd sort of gotten wind of it.
And I hadn't met, uh, Atari who I kept hearing referred to and didn't know there was a Nexus there.
So, um, pleased to make your acquaintance.
And, um, the reason I'm pointing this out is, uh, earlier in my comments, I had mentioned that, uh, I have a list which is at hand here and I still have not gone through it, but I have had a glance at it and I'm seeing names like the damn show in there.
And this is part of our, um, you know, campaigning and things that we're doing to, uh, that are going alongside of yours and very much in concert with yours.
Right. So we're, you know, definitely duplicating a lot of efforts, efforts here or things that could be promoted in concert and things like that.
And so, um, uh, as, uh, Grumpy said earlier, you know, for, you know, urging me to get out there.
I, um, I think that together we can prompt each other to do that throughout this process.
And, uh, so many things going through my mind right now, like I said, I'm dealing with so much.
It occurs to me that, as I said, multitasking wise, like, has anyone reached out to you, for example, Atari?
And, uh, if not, then feel free to DM me after this, because it seems that you're being welcomed to participate in our side of, um, you know, marketing and comms.
And so, um, there are a bunch of names, as I mentioned earlier, that I'm seeing in that list and I haven't even had time to go through and see what the context is, but I do see them there.
So, um, if anyone hasn't reached out to you from, uh, Mochaverse, uh, or even if they have in the case of like Grumpy and whatnot, happy to be your point person or second point person or whatnot.
So do reach out to me if you, um, want to present anything in this, especially in this election, um, uh, campaign, uh, time, because it's very much what we are looking to do too.
And looking for partners in that.
And so, uh, like I said, I come from motion pictures.
I think we can get the paperwork together to share content.
Damn show.
I'm trying to do the same thing with my own outlet, my personal one.
So I'd love to just be able to, you know, partner, like put both our, um, you know, watermarks on there and rebrand it and put it out for both of us and share content and stuff.
Because it's, like I said, it's a case of indigestion for me and I can't get to it all.
That is fantastic.
The only alpha I'll share with you, G, is this, is maybe is the brains behind that damn show.
So Atari may be forward facing, but maybe Netta is the one that you want to be talking to.
Can I have an email on that?
I appreciate that.
AllCity, yo, we got AllCity up here.
GSS, also, by the way, before I go to AllCity, that's an awesome opportunity for the special counsel or potential steward members or anybody running for anything or even, you know, maybe even just AIP authors in general.
Sounds like a big opportunity to get involved maybe with the Mochaverse if you wanted to sort of reach their community as they begin to vote with over a million votes.
Can I ask you real quick before, because your name's on there too, let me ask you, since you're up here on stage and we're both on mic, have you been asked because your name's on there too?
So, like I said, have you been reached out to?
Because I think, you know, like I said, I'll have to go through and see what is NDA and whatnot.
But, yeah, I think there's the invitation for you to participate from our end too.
Has anyone reached out to you?
No, I've been working with Adventurous Ape to coordinate what we may be doing here for our special counsel stages, but we have not coordinated with anybody else beyond that.
Copy that.
Well, maybe I'll be DMing later.
Love making connections on the stage.
Thank you, by the way.
Thank you again.
And AllCity, yo, what's up?
Busy morning.
Shout out SSP and Ads for having me on their podcast thing this morning.
I was excited about that.
Just busy morning.
Pop in to say hi.
See what's going on with the Apecoms fam.
Oh, SSP, how many podcasts you guys got now?
Well, it's still the same podcast, the Apecoms Radio, but now it's moving into the second part of the elections, which is the special counsel and the governor's stewards.
And we're just trying to do short and sweet, 20, 25-minute, get to know the individual beyond their nomination statement, as it were.
And I think people can kind of, you know, they want to read about the individual.
They want to go to the damn show.
They want to go to their own Twitter threads.
This is just another avenue for people, for the community to get to know some of the folks that they're voting for.
Because at the end of the day, while ads is mispositive and asking all the wonderful questions, Grumpy comes in once in a while and just makes sure that we're putting feet to the fire to these nominees.
This ain't all peaches and creams, not rainbows and unicorns.
This is some heavy lifting we've got to do here.
We want to make sure we've got the right people in the right seats on the bus.
And that's aโ€ฆ
No scrubs.
No, no, no scrubs.
That's a reference to good to great.
Another wonderful book out there.
I was goingโ€ฆ
I went back a little further.
The TLC vibes.
I love it.
You know what?
Grumpy is making himself to sound a little more grumpy than he is.
That was a lot of fun this morning.
And him and ads do a great job hosting.
Sasha was on there, too.
You know what?
Sashaโ€ฆ
I don't know.
Where did Sasha come from?
I don't know.
I didn't know Sasha before this, but he's a really good guy.
And, yeah, no, that was a lot of fun.
Came from 8.0.
So, he's been around for a while, I guess.
But, I guess, since I joined, he wasn't as active.
But, super, super good guy.
And it was a good time.
So, once again, I just appreciate the SSP.
And that was good.
That was good.
He came from eSports, just so everybody knows.
I saw that on his bio.
I'm going to have to do some more digging.
eSports, Venture Fund, Accelerator, Ukraine, and now traveling throughout Thailand.
Very cool.
He's a good fit for the webโ€ฆ
We've got to get somebody.
Where's Mantis?
We've got to get somebody handling the Web3 Sports.
Actually, Sasha and Mantis have been introduced.
And, they are working together on a few little kind of things and conversations.
Yo, the ApeCoin DAO has early BoardAid.club vibes.
I'll tell you what.
People just breaking off, building shit.
I'm just saying.
I don't know.
Maybe I'm crazy.
The Ape Assembly.
We didn't touch on it yet.
Snowflake, I see you're requesting.
I can't add more than 13 people, but I'm going toโ€ฆ
All right.
My question.
All right.
I'm cutting you off.
I've got to ask you.
Whyโ€ฆ
We just have to move past this.
Why are you guys always insistent on havingโ€ฆ
And, in most spaces that I go on, why are people always insistent on having multiple co-hosts?
Because, if you have 13 co-hostsโ€ฆ
Or, if you have twoโ€ฆ
If you have two co-hosts, you can have 13 people on the stage.
Jay, I know we've spoken about this in the past, but I cannot addโ€ฆ
If I don't have these two co-hosts, I can't add as many people to this stage.
Are you sure?
It's just how it works.
Are you sure?
Hey, I'll volunteer to step down so Snowflake can come up.
No, I want one of these co-hosts to step down, and then I want to see several people disappear.
I'm waiting for it.
Wait, wait, wait.
Don'tโ€ฆ
We've got more peopleโ€ฆ
Snowflake is running, too.
My name is not Gary.
Now we've got more nominees.
Somebody already stepped off.
We've got Snowflake.
Thank you so much.
We're good.
Yeah, I heard you like games.
I'm web-free, and I'm like, I need to come up.
You know, I have been testing some web-free gaming, some of them with layers, like Optimism.
You know, Jackie did the game.
I actually tested it.
He presented it to me before it went to Ethereum Denver.
There was a competition, and he challenged me to actually really test the game, so I broke it at the Hypermoon event.
And yeah, so basically it was like implemented even more.
I love the game.
They're actually going to be at the event in Hypermoon again for the competition, and they will launch a public testing now, you know, not just for web-free developers and testers, but actual public testing.
So it's really, really cool.
So if you have Steam and you have, like, account, you can use the Hypermoon to sign up for this test as a public.
You don't need to be, you know, developer, official tester, or anything like this, like me, or have access earlier.
You can actually test it as public now.
Super cool.
Like, really recommend it.
Optimism layer is implemented.
Tested it.
It's super cool, super fast, like almost no gas cost.
All, like, skins are minted on Polygon.
They have ApeCoin, Dow Skin, a jacket.
You know, they have, like, they also get the grant from Optimism after it was tested in Ethereum Denver.
Which is amazing.
They did, like, this skin as well.
We were talking about, like, other VR development for the game.
It's an Unreal Engine.
So one of the guys, he actually finished MIT here in Boston.
Smart guy.
You know, really, really enjoyed the conversation.
You know, it's, it's really, like, actually showed me all the, like, insights before, before, like, more testing on Ethereum Denver.
You know, we had a meeting.
And, yeah, I really, like, enjoyed it so much that when I have, like, after event in Breckenridge, kind of, like, past Ethereum, second part of Ethereum Denver.
Like, I literally was talking to all, like, developers and, like, app testers and, you know, my, some of my ex-co-workers from Apple.
And I'm, like, you have to try it, you know.
And when they, he actually removed it from the GitHub after I broke it to implement it.
But he put it back on the web for testing.
And I'm, like, everybody should try it.
Because it's so awesome.
You know, you can, you can even use now token proof.
You can scan with your phone your hot wallet, right?
Or, like, delegated one hot wallet.
And you basically connect it.
And you can mince skins to your wallet while you're testing the game.
Even not having any, like, specialized account.
It's awesome.
I recommend to everyone.
You know, want an 8-point jacket?
Go test it.
I think, Fatih, do you have a question about the game?
Well, I did.
It sounds really cool.
But I'm curious because it sounded like you said they're using 8-point skins in the game.
Yes, they have an 8-point jacket now in the game.
It's super cool.
They love it.
So did they get the IP license to do that?
You can just go and check it out how it's done.
But it's basically what it was implemented for the 8-point holders.
If you have at least, like, I think it's 2 8-points in your wallet, then you can, like, test the game.
You need to actually have it to test the game.
And you might find the skin.
If you're an 8-point holder, this IP, you know, of the actual 8-point is for you.
But many apes that were collaborating, and he has an ape as well, like, basically allowed to use their IP and build it.
This is another world, right?
Yes, it is.
Yeah, he won the ETH Hackathon, the first one we ever had.
That's what, yeah, that's, like, another thing.
But, like, the other cool thing, he then, like, started to partner with other projects.
And that's what I wanted to see.
Because we're talking about, you know, Yuga Labs and so on.
But how we can actually bring more communities to the 8-point.
And this is the way.
You know, that's how we can bring more communities to actually have ApeCoin.
And ApeCoin is also a token of the access.
I love it.
I loved it so much.
Some, like, are really supporting for this kind of development.
I think I read Other Space is going to be exploring another world on Saturday.
Other Space exploring another world.
I had to say that out loud so that I can hear it correctly.
Yeah, check my couple tweets about the Other Worlds and basically doing something.
They're preparing something today.
So, check it out.
There will be, like, LA events.
It's smaller.
Not like a tier in Denver.
But it's going to be, like, a stage for Hyper, Moon.
And they also accepted this game to be there again.
I love it.
I think they got, well, I know they actually, they won during the ETH Global set.
This is, like, one of the other rounds.
It wasn't the second round, but it was one of the other rounds.
So, they did win the first one.
They won during the other rounds as well to do, like, a build for the community in Fortnite.
So, the team is definitely hard at work here for the community.
Yeah, correct.
The partner was there for Fortnite as well right now.
So, during this test, like, if you have the Fortnite account, there is a way to become a tester as a public.
He's on the Epic Game Store, too.
I got to download it two days ago and run through it with Jackie.
It's cool.
Team winning, I think.
Well, local for me.
I stepped away.
Are we talking about Diablo 4?
Is that what we're talking about?
Another world.
Another world.
That's cool.
Let's talk about Diablo 4.
Are you winning?
I have a, I'm going to, okay, so they didn't release it on Mac, so now I have to go build another computer.
And I'm probably just going to do that one.
I broke it, Gary.
I'm going to build a new computer.
My name's not Gary.
Stop calling me Gary.
How do you want me to call you?
That's what it's called.
No, it's not.
That's not.
I don't scream.
Nobody but you has ever called me Gary.
Wait, is that why you have that idea?
I've seen it.
You're Gary the snail.
What are you telling me it's how it's spelled?
I'm going to start.
Gary the snail.
That's hilarious.
It's how it's spelled.
I'm from Spain.
What do you want?
And I'm in Boston.
I'm on East Coast.
Like, I don't know how you want me to name it.
Oh, that's amazing.
You see, Jerry?
She's got mixed accents.
Stop calling me Gary.
Gary, calm down.
Stop calling me Larry.
Larry is adventurous apes alter ego.
So you're definitely not Larry.
You guys should see what I just posted in the...
Everybody go look in the general of the ApeCoin discourse.
Discord, sorry.
There we go.
There it is.
My fucking computer.
That's what I wanted.
All right.
So Diablo.
So I'm going to build a sick computer for Diablo.
You don't need to.
It's going to be released again on the Gage Hub.
Hopefully.
If I don't break...
Nah, it's just Blizzard.
I don't think so.
I don't think Activision is going to let that go.
You're going to be in Steam.
Steam is downloadable for the Mac.
So you'll be fine.
What did you say?
Steam is not...
Steam has plenty of games that aren't compatible with Mac.
Snowflake.
It is compatible.
Snowflake.
It's the pants of your Mac.
Snowflake.
That's what I'm calling you from now on.
You are now Snowflake.
Depending of your Mac.
What Mac do you have?
Let's start with that.
What Mac do you have?
I have M2 Studio Macs with all the RAM.
So Steam is downloadable for that one from the internet.
You're welcome.
Yeah, but not Diablo 4.
Oh, my God.
You fucking nerds.
This is great.
Where's your computer?
I was trying to talk about Diablo.
And she's trying to tell me that...
Snoutflake is trying to tell me that Diablo is on Steam.
You're welcome.
I'll go find Diablo 4 on Steam for a Mac.
And she will have saved me $3,000.
But I promise you tomorrow I will still be $3,000 more poor.
And just build like a little...
You don't need to build a little computer.
You can actually buy one that is very compact.
You know, and just attach it to the Mac screen.
You don't even need to actually build on it.
What's a Mac screen?
The screen on your Mac.
You use it like a screen.
I just have a regular LG.
Why would you have a regular LG?
The resolution is less.
Yeah, Boomer.
I have a 4K.
Okay, LG doesn't make 4K screens now.
I'm leaving.
See, I tried to get away from the nerd talk.
I tried to stop this.
This is exactly why...
This is why you need moderators in spaces and public places.
This is exactly why.
Because I saw this coming and I tried to prevent it.
But there he went.
There he went.
We just got the rug pulled on, Jerry.
Now, Amplify, you're going to have to tell us.
So you're going to have to monologue for us and tell us all the new things about the Ape
But don't monologue too much.
Because I saw what Bam posted up a whole thread in there, too.
And a bunch of people getting involved.
So we got seven minutes.
Talk really fast.
And when we hear it on 1.5, it's going to sound great.
And I'm just kidding.
We can go a little past one.
No, I'm going to make it quick.
Because it is a little bit of a preemptive announcement, right?
When the other two stewards come on, they might have a different platform they want to use.
But for now, the Ape Assembly does have a separate channel in Discord where you need the assembly
role to join.
The announcement on Discord...
I'm sorry.
On the forums and on Discord have been put out.
First, I'm going to try and work with Gary to get a tweet from the ApeCoin account.
So hopefully people join.
But if you haven't already, the ApeCoin Discord is discord.gg slash ApeCoinDAO.
If you haven't joined already, you need one ape to enter.
And I won't get into the instructions right now.
But there are a few instructions you need if you're trying to verify into the assembly with
Trust Level 2 on Discord.
So for those that aren't aware, the Ape Assembly was tasked with an initiative within the scope
of the Governance Working Group tasked with facilitating the elections for these future
working groups, such as the Metaverse Working Group, which is up for votes right now.
So if that passes, we're going to have to elect within this assembly three stewards for that
working group.
So check out the announcement.
I have good news for Amplify.
I have good news for Amplify.
I'm already there.
I'm already in Metaverse Group.
It doesn't need to pass.
I'm already there.
Well, that's kind of it.
So check out the announcements.
Get in the Discord.
Follow the instructions.
Verify to get the role.
It's pretty automatic.
It's pretty streamlined because there is a few bots in the background trying to check if you
meet these criteria and if you still meet the criteria every day.
So that's something to note.
If you try and game it and buy 50,000 Ape Coins for some reason, you're going to lose
the role tomorrow when the bot checks if you sell your Ape Coin.
But yeah, check it out.
Give it until July.
And see, one of the things that I've wanted to do with the Ape Assembly is have additional
DAO tooling outside of Discord.
So I'm thinking sort of like a snapshot space, maybe even like a separate commonwealth space
for the Assembly.
But yeah, get in there.
We have the first thing we need to decide is like cadence of scheduling, like the meetings.
So monthly, bimonthly, etc.
And yeah, there's a whole task list in the Ape Assembly.
But again, this is not something that I am leading up or the other two stewards are going
to be leading.
This is like a self-organized initiative.
So it's kind of put on to you guys now.
I've set up the channel where the Ape Assembly can meet, but it's now up to you guys who's
going to be the signer on the multisig, take custody of the budget, and who's going to
use that budget efficiently.
Wait, hang on a second.
Before I pass it off, did you say common ground or commonwealth?
What did you say?
Oh, commonwealth.
It's like a, I don't want to say alternative to discourse, but it's a redundancy feature
that would be nice to have in case the forums ever went down.
We would have like a copy-paste alternative.
All right.
And it's called commonwealth, not common ground, right?
Because someone reached out to me from common ground through one of my partners that I work
with for IP today, and I just want to clarify, it's not common ground, right?
Yeah, no, commonwealth.
Didn't it?
Is it Aave that moved there?
One of those moved there.
Oh, DYDX just moved off of there onto discourse.
But I think like the idea is to have like just an instance of both of them, you know, redundancy.
Because there is, someone like brought up this interesting point of failure, which is
the forum, right?
Like what happens if discourse, or I'm sorry, snapshot, right?
So some people can't vote on snapshot right now because they had, I don't know if it's
still ongoing, but there's RPC issues.
The entirety of our foundation relies on the outcome of snapshot.
And so do like hundreds of other doubts.
So I'm just, if snapshot goes down, what do we do?
If the forums go down, what do we do?
And we should just be thinking about building for these redundancies.
And then that's also what the Ape Assembly is largely scoped with doing is like this meta
governance kind of thinking, like thinking outside the box and thinking about the what
ifs and the worst case scenarios.
I see you got your hand up.
I'm going to throw it to you.
I do want to just say while we're up here that several of us have been experiencing
the RPC issue with snapshot.
And I think that was maybe part of what stirred this conversation.
I don't think it's just our community either that's been dealing with this snapshot RPC
I think it's across other DAOs based off what I've been seeing as well.
So it's not something we can easily just go in and fix or anything we have any control
over other than to sort of create those redundancies or other ways for us to do what it is we need
to do to vote or even to just facilitate a fair vote, right?
If half of the community can't vote and we've got, you know, we know we have elections are
It's a problem.
So we're thinking about it.
We're talking about it.
Bad teeth.
What's up?
Yeah, I just wanted to give a quick take on what the APE Assembly sort of core is.
And that's a chance for stakeholders from three specific groups to get together and actually
discuss bigger item or bigger challenges facing the DAO, like the snapshot issue, like having
a backup for the forums.
But those groups are, as we've said in the criteria, it's essentially anyone that's trust
level two in the forums and discourse, anyone that has 50,000, eight point or more, anyone
that's voted on 50% of proposals or more.
So it casts a wide net and it gets high context DAO members together in a place where we can
discuss these challenges that are beyond any one working group or any one community to solve.
I wonder if we can do, like, maybe AIP keys on Infura.
Is it too complicated?
I have no idea what that means.
Like, I was thinking, yeah, like you can create, like, a key for different members and basically
it's a platform and you do everything on chain.
Yeah, go ahead.
So it's definitely a question for Discourse and their team.
Like, I don't know the answer to your question, but the ultimate form of redundancy, right,
would be the Ethereum mainnet.
Like, really what we should do is deploy an on-chain treasury and a governance process
to access the assets in that treasury.
So if the Cayman treasury ever goes down for whatever reason, forum, snapshot, etc., there's
still a way to vote on-chain.
The downsides of that is it costs ETH to vote.
It's an on-chain transaction.
So it costs sometimes in the bull market, like, $30, $60 for someone to vote.
And that's when delegation becomes so much more important, is delegating votes and voting
