Yo, what is up?
Happy Monday.
Welcome to Aftos After Dark, episode 61.
How you doing, Atreyu?
I'm good, man.
Happy Monday.
How we doing?
How you doing?
Doing good.
It was a busy week.
Busy end of the week last week
yeah yeah i feel that uh four day work weeks when it's kind of like even though it's planned
it never seems that planned maybe it's just my own fault i don't know but
because everybody comes back expect yeah i know i know what you're talking about
yeah exactly it's
not really time off it just like means I'm gonna have a really crappy four days
this week yeah yeah I'm like I was literally thinking like man I can't use
the four days if it's just like consistent yeah but that's the one I've
heard proposed a bunch is like working a 410 our days you do for 10 hour days and days, you do 410-hour days, and then you actually
get 3 days off
for your weekend.
I'd be down for that.
I would be down for that.
No, dude, if you can tack on
an extra 2 hours a day and
not have to do the whole rigmarole
for the 5th day, it would be
totally worth it.
You're already there for the first four anyways, right?
Yeah, and also
I don't know about you, but sometimes I'm working
more than I did anyway, so
I don't know.
I wouldn't be fully opposed.
When I was
at my last office job, I was
when it started
and when it left, I wasn't doing any extra shit
fuck that now it's just it's constant i wake up at work i go to sleep it's work i love it there you
go but it's not work because i'd be doing it anyways there you go spot on now You're living the dream, sir. You're living the dream. That's the goal.
Well, episode 61.
What have we got cooking?
We got a lot on today's show, I'm pretty sure.
So what have we got looking forward to for everyone that's listening?
We're going to be breaking it down with coffee.
All things post-mainnet.
Oh, heck yeah. That's exciting. Coffee's the the talk of the town everybody wants to know what's coffee what's in your coffee what's the
coffee we're replacing what's the tea with what's the coffee no I'm about
this then 100% and they're doing their weekly space now I know Zimane's been
helping them out with that. That's been awesome.
That is another top class space added to the weekly rotation.
Dude, that's legendary, actually.
Shout out to Zimani and Coffee for kicking that up and keeping it going.
That's awesome.
100%. Nice. All right. Well, let's, I don't know. Is that what we're jumping right into? Are we doing anything else beforehand? What are you thinking?
I don't know. Do the intros, then we can touch a little bit on the end of last week and then jump right into coffee.
Love it. Okay. Well, if this is your first time here, welcome, welcome to Aftos Every Dark, where we discuss what's going on on Aptos
each and every week joined by awesome projects and protocols each and every
week if you're enjoying hosted by myself Atreyu and Sneezy if you're enjoying the
content please throw us a like a subscribe a follow across all the
channels YouTube Spotify X Instagram tick-tock etc so that is right also like and retweet the
space one thing you will never find on an app just after dark is financial
advice just a bunch of people talking about the awesome stuff being built in
and around the app toss ecosystem if you are interested in anything we're
talking about get a petrol Petra wallet, get involved
with Aptos Connect. It's as easy as having a Google login or an Apple ID and you're ready to
rock and roll. Easy, easy. Let's go. Let's go. So what do we got going on? Last week was, man,
even last week.iday was a crazy day
fill me in what's what happened freder started off with welcoming officially welcoming the 39
new members of the aptos collective let's go welcome everybody pinned to the top already by
sneezy oh heck yeah we had uh our welcome call in the
collective chill session
in the collective discord today.
It was like 70 people
there. Good old time.
Just a good old time.
Welcoming new members,
talking to the OGs.
Fun had by all.
That's awesome.
And if you did apply and did not get in this time, we will be doing
more cohorts this year. Get involved, hang out in spaces, interact with everyone who's active in the
space. Reach out to your regional communities, find out how to get involved. If in real life events are what you're interested in, get involved.
There's going to be more of that coming.
I got to say, what a ridiculous cohort size to start with and then dwindle down.
Tough decisions had to be made.
So it's really awesome to hear that there's going to be potentially more cohorts.
10,000 applications, bro.
Yeah, so I'm saying.
It's incredible for the team to go through that.
And also, got to be some hard decisions there.
So do not be demotivated.
I'm happy to hear that there's going to be some more co-horts this year, Sneezy.
That's cool.
I didn't know that.
Heck yeah.
Well, now is the morning, and then in the afternoon,
the May Yappers, Yaptos rewards were announced.
Some people were able to go check their eligibility.
Eligibility?
Yeah, I said that right.
You said it right.
Nailed it.
I still have yet to earn a yap I'm just not trying hard
enough apparently gotta get more boys ladies and gentlemen yep if you're not
yet and you gotta get more so yep and yeah I know broke pecker's figuring it
out there he is so I don't know if that's still the modus operandi
of his morning spaces,
but I know he's trying to crack the code.
Oh, shoot.
That's the only answer.
I don't know.
Be active, be engaged, be authentic.
All the usual stuff. Well, do you actually engaged, be authentic. All the usual stuff.
Well, do you actually have to be authentic? Because I see some people up there and it doesn't, you know, they have a scoring system.
And it doesn't look like authenticity is a requirement.
That sliding scale doesn't always have to be super authentic, it seems maybe at the very high level but i know that a lot of the guys
who are genuinely interacting and engaging with the posts and comments
i think that's how they've been able to grind up the list all right i think it's a blend of both
yep and yet more and yapping the answer is just yap more. Just yap more.
That is the answer.
Just yap more.
Once Brokepecker cracks the code,
he will share the alpha
on alpha after dark.
Once he figures out,
he's going to stop doing his spaces
and start grinding.
Okay, so that was the afternoon.
That was the afternoon.
It's a big one, too.
That's always super exciting, by the way.
Since we started doing those, I'm not going to lie.
I feel like the community immediately lights up.
People get into a bunch of, you know, some serious allocations.
The rewards are no joke, man.
Like, what, cheating
666 for coming in first?
That's wild.
That's truly wild.
It's a nice little
chunk of APT.
Yeah, you could
I just did.
For yapping.
If that doesn't get you motivated, I don't know what does.
Congrats to cheating.
And everyone in the top 100.
W's in the chat.
What happened in the late afternoon or evening?
What was the third?
That was all I had.
I went to the African space and it was delightful.
What a legendary Friday.
I mean, we started it off technically before that.
We started it off with the TGIF art space.
Which is, again, always an absolute treat.
Oh, man. gotta love it friday's a jam-packed
i feel especially yeah like end of the month everything culminating yo it's also disgusting to me that it's June already.
It's summer's here, man.
on summer.
It's officially, I don't know, it feels like June is like
you're in the summer months now.
Dude, there was stuff that
I was privy to that
slotted for June, and I'm like, oh, that's forever
away. I just didn't even need to be on my radar right now. It's like, oh, that's forever away. Like, it doesn't even need to be on my radar right now.
It's like, oh, that's it, and, like, that's the end of the week.
Just kidding.
Just kidding.
It's like, oh, yeah, you remember that thing that was forever away?
It's this week.
And it's sneaking up very fast.
Yep. Yeah, it's kind week. That is sneaking up very fast. Yep.
Yeah, it's kind of nuts. Week two,
week one is here.
This year's been flying by.
Like, think of all this shit that's happened on Aptos since
we turned the calendar in January, bro.
Dude, it's been impossible to
keep up. I literally said that in Yarza
Master Weekly write-up. I'm like, dude,
you are, i don't
know how you're keeping up but like this is amazing because it's so true every week he's
still doing it and it's incredible like because like it's there's just so much happening every
single week even you and i i feel like and we were i think we are like on top of the ecosystem pretty
thoroughly uh it's crazy bro i'm white knuckling it at this point like i'm i was
talking about that in the collective chill call today like i'm heavily relying on the collective
members and their posts and their retweets to try and keep track of everything that's going on
like i love that we're to the point where like you need your social net you need
your social networking web to help you keep track of everything it is far exceeded what one person
can try and manage on their own it's incredible what a good time summer after summer is like
you're gonna be it's i mean after the year has been insane summer season is gonna be nuts
i feel like we're gonna need to pull up like one of these mondays we're just gonna have to do I mean, Aftab's year has been insane. Summer season is going to be nuts.
I feel like we're going to need to pull up, like, one of these Mondays.
We're just going to have to do, like, an analyst space.
We used to do that at the beginning of every space.
But I feel like we just need to do, like, a year recap.
Like, find the January, February, March, April, May monthly recaps and just look at what this year's been like maybe
let me figure out when the halfway point is for the year but we'll do it then that'd be fun
that would be very fun
yo that being said talking about things that have gone like snot since january
we've got coffee in the house with us.
I believe...
What's up, coffee?
Is it Wagmit behind the account today?
Yep, Wagmit behind the account today.
Finally made it.
Sorry about last week.
Didn't, yeah, couldn't wake up in time for it.
You're here now.
Yo, it's all good. We got got you in episode 61 and that's all that
matters my friend let's go no stress no stress the man of the hour though welcome
yeah i believe the last time we had you on it was testnet had just gone live
Testnet had just gone live.
Yeah, probably like a month ago or slightly longer than a month.
Month and a half?
Dude, yeah, I was going to say, I was talking to someone and I'm like,
oh yeah, no, I was talking...
We talked about this like a week or two ago and it was a month and a half ago.
I was like, Jesus Christ.
Yeah, I'm mean that and hit us hit us main it how's it going any any highlights anything you want to jump right into i
mean that's congratulations on getting the mainnet like let's's freaking go. There's some hype out there for coffee.
That's awesome.
Huge congrats.
But anything you want to jump right into or Sneezy?
What were you thinking?
Yeah, I think I can do a brief introduction of coffee
for all those that are new here first.
So, yeah, coffee finance is a liquid staking protocol
on Aptos and we aim to provide the highest yields
on Aptos and we aim to provide the highest yields on Aptos through
MEV ref share and other interesting DeFi strategies. So we have a couple of
stuff that are lined up in our product roadmap such as the integration of Aries and unlocking leverage liquid staking,
which will increase your staking APY.
We will also have lots of incentives with our partners.
So, for example, you can provide LPs on Hyperion,
which will allow you to earn increased yields on top of the base staking APRs.
Yeah, and I think in the coming weeks, once we get integrated with Aries,
we'll also have a ex-BTC strategy.
Yeah, because BTC5 is going to loan collateralize your BTC.
Great if you're a BTC bull and then use using that collateral to to borrow more APT and stake APT for even a higher, what I call it, APR.
So you get both the capital appreciation of BTC
and also the staking rewards of APT.
But of course, there's no financial advice here,
just putting out the strategy that is possible with XPTC and coffee.
And also we are slowly going to roll out additional MEV research data.
We're going to publicly build MEV research on Aptos so that everyone could see
how quote-unquote profitable or how much more yields
coffee stakers would get if we are able to capture MEV.
So this is in the works.
We are going to implement a dashboard so that, yeah,
so that this MEB profits will be publicly available
to everyone to see.
Yeah, so yeah, that's what we have lined up.
So maybe if anyone has any questions, yeah,
feel free to to check here i mean i'll hop in really quick and then i
you know sneeze i'll pass to you but i mean i heard btc ptc phi and and um btc lending to get
appreciation on both sides there that's pretty that interesting. So basically like, is this like a,
I'm trying to understand exactly like,
is this me depositing Bitcoin through coffee
and then going through,
like I guess walk me through the flow a little bit.
It's like, you know, I'm a user, I have BTC,
I can go into coffee and then deposit that BTC.
It wraps to X BTC and then from there
I'm like kind of lending basically yeah so Aptos has a partnership with OKX which allows
wrapped BTC to exist on Aptos and Aries has already integrated XBTC on their markets.
So you could lend BTC as XBTC.
Ask collateral in order to borrow more APT to stick on coffee to get more to get SDK apt and get the staking rewards on that.
So so I guess this is considered a quote unquote at once the strategy, but we're trying to make it more simple for people to use.
So as long as you have XPTC in your wallet, we want to create this one click strategy on our website that integrates with Aries such that you can actually collateralize your BTX, BTC and and borrow and stake APT in one click.
Yeah, so we'll do all the calculations on our front end and trying to make it as simple as possible for people.
So basically like you'll show in the dashboard there for a user to see what that percentage
would be and all they're needing to do is bring your XBTC over to then take that next
step if they're so choosing to.
And like they'll understand from that dashboard what their yield could be, I guess, right?
Yeah, exactly.
We'll also put in all the-
Yeah, we'll also put in all the risk warnings.
So for example,
this is technically not a zero,
it's not a risk-free strategy
because if the price of BTC actually goes down,
you could get liquidated and lose your BTC.
So I think users should be wary of this.
Well, is it based on their leverage, I guess, right?
Is that how this works?
Like how much they go into?
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, it depends on how much they are going to borrow
based on their collateral.
Gotcha. Okay, gotcha.
So there is going to be that clear LTV kind of aspect
that's going to help on the user side
to understand how risky what they're doing is
because it's not a no risk strategy a no risk strategy, like you said.
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
I love that. So you're protecting the users. I mean, that's protecting us.
The people like me that are, that probably wouldn't fully understand
the risks that I'm getting into, into something like this.
So I truly appreciate that coming from my side.
I definitely do. That's awesome.
Sneezy, I kind of just jumped in there with BTC, but you got other questions around what's coming up or what's already happened, I guess, up to this point?
Yo, I am totally down if you want to carry down this path a little bit longer. I wanted to talk
about some of the crazy milestones that
they've hit, but we can hit that after you're done with the DeFi tangent. No, no, no. I think that
was it. I really want to talk about the Bitcoin situation because I think that was interesting.
I guess we can go into a little bit around the research that you're doing around MEV because
that's also pretty unique and different. I know I know we talked about that I think the first space you're on but
it's not like now we're getting to a point of more research base and clarity.
Yeah so as as you mentioned we are um researching um on we are researching about MEV on Aptos because our final our end game is
really to build this MEV infrastructure
to boost the validated yields and
hence coffee staker yields.
So we are taking it step by step.
Currently we are trying to open up
the problem space a bit more,
so we are trying to see if there are. We're trying to yeah, we're trying to open up the problem space a bit more. So we are trying to see if there are.
We're trying to yeah,
we're trying to open up the problem
space by identifying the MEV opportunities
and identifying what MEV searchers
really need on Aptos in order to
build like a efficient infrastructure for them.
Yeah, so maybe a little bit of context on MEV.
So MEV is really the profits that is gained through
transaction ordering in a block.
So for example, I like to pull up this example of buying
meme coins, right?
If you are the first person to buy a meme, a meme coin, you
will get you. You probably probably gain, there's a lot
of upside for you.
And how you do this on the blockchain is by submitting your transaction first, right?
But however, on the blockchain, your transaction might not be the first.
So it really depends on the consensus mechanism of the blockchain. So on Ethereum, they have a priority guess.
They have a priority guess.
So if you set like the tip fee to be higher,
your transaction will be earlier,
will be included earlier in the same block.
So if your transaction appears earlier,
you'll get the better price for the meme coin.
And then like I think on Arbitrum,
it may be first come first serve,
but then there's also this thing concept of time boost
where you can actually like speed up,
quote unquote, speed up your transaction
and get your
transaction included first in the block.
Yeah, and on Apptoss is all different as well.
That being said, like how can you guarantee
your your transaction to appear first in a block,
which will grant you the highest profit returns,
is through straight up getting a deal with the valet dealers to say that,
oh, I want my transaction to be first in the block
so that I get the best price for this meme coin.
But then again, you're not going to be the only one that is
requesting for this.
You're going to, there are going to be other buyers out there that will want
the same position in the block to get the highest profit.
So one of the solutions is to come up with an auctioning system. So we basically
auction off the block space to users who want to get their transaction included first. So
the bid to this auction will be given to the validators as additional revenue and when the
validators get additional revenue the stakers on coffee will as well yeah so i guess that's a little
of the mev on neptos yeah that's also super helpful for those that might not be keeping up to date on how MEV works or know what it is.
And, you know, when you guys complete the research as well, is that going to be like something publicly shared that you're like more of a like a public good that's going to happen?
I guess. How are you guys thinking about this research that's being done?
And obviously it's time, effort and energy from you and the coffee team.
But I'm assuming that, that you know you want to
have more people aware of the benefits of this too right i guess yeah of course uh benefits and
we also want uh more people to try out getting this mev uh you know even trying to to run mev
strategies of their own um because like you know everyone everyone's, yeah, I guess most people here also want to
try to earn some money. So yeah, it could be a good eye opener to, yeah, eye opener and
allow some other, yeah, allow you guys to try out new strategies to make some more money, right?
Nice, nice. Heck yeah, love that.
Love to hear that.
And hopefully it's gonna be educational and informative
for a lot of people that also like,
you have never even considered running an MEV strategy.
It's not something I've ever thought about.
So I'm curious to see,
as this comes out to be more public,
like what those strategies, you know,
what it is and what it says
and how I could potentially just try it out just to just to say just to try it, I guess.
Right. Yeah. Even if I'm not trying to make money, that'd be very cool.
Yeah. Yeah. Even I think like even if it's not for like purely profit purposes, I think
it's really interesting to understand how all of this works.
Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
A hundred percent. a thousand percent.
Because I feel like we, a lot of us that were around back in 2021, learned about
MEV unintentionally through the insane gas prices of the bull run, right?
On Ethereum.
So unintentionally you learn that if you pay more gas, you will have a faster
time to conclusion, right? So you kind of learned about, you will have a faster time to conclusion, right?
So you kind of learned about, I guess, MED in that sense, right?
You pay more with gas and you get prioritized, basically.
So, you know, MetaMask made that pretty easy for people to figure out.
So I'm curious to learn more about how this could be happening on Aptos because it's just good to know.
Cool. Cool, cool.
Well, thanks for jamming a little bit with me on that one.
Sneezy, I'm gonna yield the floor to you, my friend.
Yo, I wanted to talk about the fact that you guys had over 2 million Aptos staked,
but then when I went to go find that post, I found that coffee just crossed 3.24 million
in Aptos staked.
That is awesome.
That's awesome. let's go oh no did we lose wag me I see him as a speaker right now have lost oh no oh and gone oh he's back Yeah, so I just yeah, I heard that, you know, yeah, so we did. We did cross 3.24 million APT stake that basically staked onto coffee
signaling how bullish
they are on us in the
long term.
If the BTC whale is
here in the chat, we'd really like to
extend our most
thanks to them.
this is not the end. we are definitely going to continue building
we're gonna uh yeah get our tbl up uh as much as possible to to show our growth um
yeah i think in in general it's a good thing to have a high TVL because, you know, it's good for, like, fundraising efforts on our side.
And with good funding, we can expand the protocol even further, right?
Like, increase our marketing efforts, increase rewards for community, like, yeah, and even boost our eventual, like, TGE.
Yeah, boost our eventual like a TG yeah. Yeah, post our eventual TG.
So this is really a community effort.
Yeah, and really, really,
really glad to see what we all
have achieved so far.
So so awesome. so awesome.
So awesome.
I love the whole story.
Like, I love you guys coming to Aptos, building a community, like, successful testnet, successful mainnet, crushing it on all accounts.
Like, true success story
do you do you have a couple minutes if we open it up? I'm sure we got some people in the audience that would love to ask a question or two.
Yeah, for sure.
I'd love to speak to the audience, always.
Hopefully you've been able to take a little bit
of a breath now that Mainnet's happened
and the products out there, people are involved clearly as those numbers don't, can't make
up those numbers basically, right?
It's awesome.
How are you feeling now that this is, you know, coffee's on Mainnet and the pressures that
come with Mainnet, how's that been for you and the team?
Most definitely not getting a breather just yet.
I think I've gotten even more busier.
I think more on the back end,
not so much on the front-facing product side.
I mean, we are also pushing out on products and stuff like that,
but I think there's a lot more going on behind the scenes so we are preparing for uh fundraising and there's a lot of admin to be to be done behind
that uh yeah and also partnerships we have to and like like make sure that more partnerships
are coming in and existing partnerships are going well so i've been trying to push piff to get our
price oracle up.
So kind of been stressing us out for the past week.
But yeah, I guess no choice because we have to wait on them.
And the most we can do is to push them internally.
So yeah, there's lots of things going on and still lots of moving parts.
Yeah, but yeah, we're gonna push on all the way, all the way to, till we get our like this MEB
infrastructure out and push all the way to our TGE. Yeah. And then I think maybe then,
yeah, we can have a little bit more breathing room.
Okay, no, I get it. That's awesome that you guys are doubling, like, you know, And yeah, we can have a little bit more breathing room. Okay.
No, I get it.
That's awesome that you guys are doubling,
like, you know, tripling down with after mainnet
and not slowing down, keeping the momentum going.
And that's bullish.
That's bullish to hear, right?
Because yeah, there's a lot of work to be done
even after mainnet.
So you guys aren't stopping at all.
You're going to keep pushing.
That's awesome.
Let's freaking go.
Also, you've
said it a few times and i don't know it's easy did i did we hear this on our first call but tge
like did we talk about this at all or is that anything we want to talk about right now
on coffee or is it more like is this uh an alpha after dark uh kind situation. We'll talk about it after the talk about it.
I guess that the only right now is that we'll do our best to go to TG.
Yeah, that's none of our goals, but we have no...
There's no concrete line for now that is publicly available.
No, I'm cool with that.
But I absolutely, like you said, Atreyu, like, I love the riding the momentum and understanding
the opportunity and moving quick and striking, taking the opportunity and if it doesn't go that way it doesn't go that way
this is alpha after dark it's preliminary but like i like that moxie and i like the
head down going for it keep shipping keep building
dude it's awesome honestly right because you you heard where they it's like you you easily could
take the gas you know take the pedal off the gas so um anyway um i see i see we got broke pecker up
here and his hands are raised so what's up bro, Broke Pecker? Yo, good morning.
GM, GM, how you doing, dude?
Yo, we're good.
No, so I was brought up, so I guess I would have to ask a question.
Well, to be honest, bro, like I think coffee has been around for quite some time
and they have
displayed their product
in a very clear way.
Easy for people to understand.
There's not a lot to ask on the technical side.
I guess for me,
it would just be on...
Wait, is coffee still here?
They had technical issues left, came back. I guess for me it would just be on... Wait, is Coffey still here? Okay.
They had technical issues left, came back.
All right, let's go.
No, I was just going to ask Coffey on the community side,
what do you have in store?
Do we have any running campaign?
I might be naive about this. I mean, you know,
because there's just a lot of things happening in AppToss right now.
So do we have anything coming up for the community?
I think we, yeah, we just
did a few of our campaign.
The Send One APN,
our two APT campaign.
That's for APT on coffee.
So we are concluding a thread writing contest we issuing the the rewards um by today
uh anyone hear me oh yeah yeah yeah yeah uh yeah i'm going to be
distributing the rewards today um yeah i think there might be a campaign for
yeah i think that might be that is um public oh it's okay yeah it's okay yeah but yeah but we're
gonna have more stuff that's coming up if you want to keep your cards close to your chest it's okay bro
just wanted to ask if I'm missing out
on anything
thank you sir
yes stone panda
welcome to the stage how you doing
not bad hope everybody's good good happy monday to you
man yeah happy monday guys i'm not hung over i woke up happy 40 years old now let's go but uh
i don't really have a question for coffee because you did answer a couple of the things i was
thinking about while you were speaking i just but now i just want to say i remember finding you you were in that emoji coin
one of the first emoji coin saturday spaces way back and you introduced yourself and explained
everything like that you built a lot in a two-month period and i just want to say like i hope you guys
keep pushing and keep showing how strong you are because that's amazing the amount of work you put
in in a couple short little weeks right so yeah congrats i'm
happy you guys are part of aptos man i appreciate those words it means a lot motivates us to
push even harder
yeah i remember you were explaining your whole just coming over to aptos because you like the code and you thought the code would work a lot better for your product and everything.
And yeah, it just popped in my head that that was not that long ago.
It was a very short period away.
So yeah, man, congrats and keep up the good work.
Appreciate it. So we've also got, I'm not sure if it's ADEX.
ADEX? ADEX?
Welcome to the stage, sir.
Oh, no, did coffee drop down, or am I... No, Dex has been struggling the last little while, man.
Dex is struggling.
Addex, Addexx are you up here hello hello
okay all right then well more technical issues
Well more technical issues
So I was in the monkey builder space earlier and
Couple people were asking about treasure hunt
Talking about how we're playing it on testnet a while ago and
a while ago and I think it was Nomadic was asking if it was live.
I think it was nomadic was asking if it was live
I was like, no, I don't believe so yet.
And that's why we were calling you because you were someone actually building something
and we wanted you to come talk about it in the builder space.
No, not live.
On testnet.
Also had some people doing the recent campaign that reported some more bugs and like man
we can't escape some of these issues so and they're like pain in the butt bugs too like where
people can't log in properly so it's like it's good that we ran like jam jam we did a little
collab on pushing out some more awareness interest and like getting people to play the game a little
bit because it's been really cool to see people play
and then also share a little bit of the feedback.
So, yeah, we're still polishing, it feels like.
We're moving a little bit slower than when we were two months ago or a month ago,
but I'm hoping that we're going to get the...
It's going to be sailing season in the summer.
And more to come on that stuff,
but there isn't really any
announcement to the announcement or nothing but you know making progress step by step brick by
brick code line by code line
yeah we're here for it
when you need more people just let us, just let us know. We can do more in the space.
Dude, I'd love to at some point.
We probably should just give it another go
and something like that.
I wish I was building like coffee,
just like shipping like an awesome,
massive, really well-polished product
in less than two months.
I feel the opposite of coffee
and it just shows the, the, the,
like the quality of his team. So huge shout out to coffee.
And after you guys are put behind your product and how quick you've gone from
zero to one into something that's not something so simple to do. So it's,
it really does go to show from someone that's building and to the speed and quality
you guys have shipped.
And already to the scale, too.
It's awesome to see.
So, definitely
give shout-outs to the teams when you spot them.
For sure, right?
Sneezy, I wish I saw the comments because I didn't even notice
them. You should hit me up on notice him um you should hit me up on dms uh tell did you hit me up on tg next time hit me up on tgl
see if i can make it if it's possible heck yeah will do mondays mondays in the middle of the day
though i will say gonna be gonna be tight yeah we're trying to find another time
mondays in the middle of the day. Yeah. Yeah. We established that today.
Wasn't it?
Didn't it used to be on Sundays?
What happened?
Sunday's not a good day for Nomadic.
Ah, shoot.
Schedules.
We got coffee back up here, though.
We'll figure it out.
We'll get them slotted into a nice time slot that's just uh
coffee are you back with us again yes I am back nice nice nice well we've kept
you for almost an hour at this point i guess
it's easy is there anything else we want to go through or ask or anything else you want to share
around mainnet and launch coffee before i mean we let you go because again you've given us so much
time so uh i don't know we're happy to jump through anything else talk about anything else
there's so much you guys are cooking that's exciting but you know at the
same time uh i think it's the people got to get in there start staking and uh getting some uh
interest in seeing what's possible on coffee but anything else you want to talk about i guess before
we give you your morning back great great time for calls to action. Like anything people can be doing.
Let's go through all the different things people can be doing to interact with coffee right now.
Yeah, I think most importantly, you follow us on apps and also join our spaces, our weekly
basis every Tuesday, because that's when we get feedback from guys.
I think people really important can keep pushing out updates.
Progress for our sticking. And also we.
To like share our thoughts and also when progress, but I think this is.
How we can do the strong community on these really coffee spaces.
When are the coffee? Yeah. how we can make the strong community on these really coffee spaces.
When are the coffee spaces by the way?
What time and what day?
It should be Wednesdays,
I think about 9 p.m. is T.
Zamani is here.
Correct. I think Zam 9 PM ST. Zamani. Correct, I think the money is here.
I mean, uh, can this?
Yeah, I think it should be.
It should be then like 9 PM.
Yo, hold on.
What time is it for you?
What time is the space for you?
the space for you I think it's 9 a.m. EST or 930
no he's gone again oh man X has really been brutal today hammer nice man
Zimani if you're out there and you want to just drop a comment in there? We'll say it but get involved with the community get this is scheduled. Maybe it's scheduled
Yeah, that's brutal
I still can't access my DMS on hex. No, I don't know about seriously
I did not like that i still can can you yeah it's back for me knock on wood dude mine started the friday before though oh my gosh no way okay i got them back like
saturday i think saturday morning i woke up and was i was like
yo i can do my normal, like,
go through everybody's posts and interact.
Am I back?
You're back. Yes.
I think another
X data center is on fire.
That's got to be
the case, for real.
That's got to be the case.
But we left you at uncertainties on the time slot.
We were debating between 9 PM and 9 AM
for the weekly space on Wednesdays.
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think to solve this,
just follow Coffee's account.
And yeah, we'll post the timing there.
Yeah, nearing to the time.
Yeah, let's go.
I would love to turn this into a little bit of a
DGN NFT space
We got broke pecker up here
If a and serene
Wanted to come up we could do a little nfc jam
NFC season we talking about it. No, bro. I
Don't know who, what, if that was a soundboard, but I'm still here for that.
Like, hell yeah.
Yo, I'm just sort of caveman's, there's what, like 60 some odd left?
Yep, 50 some odd left left that's 55 or so yo let's
go we're getting there yeah um so did you see the laser eyes, I did see the laser eyes.
Hold on, I was just about to go find it and pin it.
I hope Smith wouldn't
mind. I stole some of their
I seen that laser eyes. He was running
hard, man. That was nice.
That reminded me exactly like that
cartoon I was talking about.
Oh, yeah, I checked it out. It was pretty old, but nice that reminded me exactly like that cartoon i was talking about oh yeah you know i checked
it out um it was pretty old but those were like really good graphics though
it's an old cartoon man it's from like the 80s it's awesome oh i was like 90s
well yeah it might be 80s whatever that's still 40 years ago 50 years ago fuck bro why
he's 30 i don't know why he's giving us such a hard time
yo sneezy you ever watch dino riders never seen it bro
i've never heard of dino riders before
go youtube it you'll love it watch one episode man you can watch the whole series on youtube
i feel like biker mice
from myers is my version oh yo there's another one but that's way too good at graphics man like
this that's five years down the road the dino writers they kind of look like transforms the old
kind of right like a little but i like how there's like good guys there's bad guys and they took like
the good dinosaurs versus the bad dinosaurs, right?
Souped them up in guns.
I used to have the toys.
There was toys where the bronchiosaurus,
his side would open up all the armor,
and missiles would shoot and stuff.
It was awesome.
Which one came first, the toy or the show?
It's the show first, man, but the show was based around them being able to sell toys
It was kind of like a mix between gi like back when gi joe was super popular it was kind of like a
A fantasy version of gi joe right where they're on like a
Alien world and they're dinosaurs and yeah, it was pretty wicked man
Just think yeah, I think there were like cartoons that was made around I think Pokemon
was made around the game like this show was just made to kind of like home
markets again oh really oh yeah I think you're right actually No, wasn't it card game probably card game you yeah
No, like that TV show. Oh yeah
Yeah, game then TV show
Yeah, well the cards is what we were considering the game, right that was the old school
we were considering the game, right?
That was the old school.
Oh, I thought he meant Nintendo.
I thought he meant the Game Boy.
The Game Boy came out first.
I don't think so.
Either way, that's why
Nintendo's Nintendo.
listening to these guys trying to remember
shit that they're never going to be able to remember.
Yo, Sneezy, you said Biker Mice or Mars.
So do you remember that cartoon that used
to have, like, Bo Jackson, Wayne Gretzky,
and the other guy in their superhero?
Hell yeah, I remember all stars.
Yes, that one
was amazing, man.
Who was it? Bo Jackson, Wayne
Gretzky, and was it Michael Jordan?
Michael Jordan, Yes. Yeah
No, no. Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Oh, I don't know if I got to Google it. I don't know
Yeah, I don't know any of this cartoons I grew up with Scooby-Doo
I grew up with Scooby-Doo too.
But yeah, with the Aptosaurs, I'll be rolling out the, I guess, neat picks for the Aptosaurs along the days.
So I'll probably drop another one tonight.
And yeah, just more like, just to show like what's in the collection.
Yo, that's fire.
Yo, it's pro stars.
Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson.
All stars pep showing like Looney Tunes stuff, but it's pro stars
My bad they had a series
I'm gonna have to go watch that again. I like watching those old cartoons on YouTube man
Just play it in the background and kind of watch a good stuff. It's fun. I
Did that with big light I'm not sure you know what that is
No, dude, I love watching the grown men that grew up
Watching Beyblade and now I have like machine shop jobs I got another guy who like on TTV bro he's been watching Bakugan again.
I still don't know what a Bakugan is.
They're kind of like the...
They're like a ball transformer Pokemon thing.
Yeah, I was trying to have DTV explain it to me.
I've heard...
I would rather talk about Aptosaurs or Painted Bandas or Meowty Cats.
A is here.
What's up, A?
A person is here.
Here I am.
I'll probably get rugged just like everybody else.
I hope you guys are having a fantastic day.
Yeah, Painted Pandas, we're like $750 mints in to $3,333.
One app toss mint is the price until we get to $1,500.
And then it goes to $1.5 Aptos price.
So get them early while you can.
Lots of merch giveaways.
Merch store coming shortly.
A bunch of merch I got to send out to some people.
Also, rings are still a thing if you're turning them in.
I'll be making some of those, uh,
cause a few people have turned them in. Uh, so that's awesome as well. Uh,
but yeah, painted pandas, uh, got any questions,
pretty much everybody here knows most things about it, but no,
we're a awesome collection that pushes peace, positivity and prosperity. Uh,
and we do a.m.
Uplift space, uh, every single morning, Monday through Friday at 5 a.m.
EST. Uh, If anybody's up
that early or that's late or whatever time it is for you, swing on through. We'd love to have you
and chat with you. But yeah, it's just something that the painted pandas wanted to bring so we
could start our days off with a little positive note. So besides the other two spaces that I do
during the week, I decided, hey, why not do more spaces and try and get more people on Aptos involved.
And so I see a bunch of spaces all the time.
It's awesome seeing everybody do this.
The collective call of the day was absolutely amazing.
It was good to see a bunch of people in there, new collective members, stuff like that.
And then I was thinking about it too earlier in the space there.
I was like, dude, I've almost been in a collective for almost two years.
At the end of the summer, it'll be two years.
I'm like, that's crazy to me that it's been that long, that fast.
It's insane, to be honest with you.
Dude, I'm telling you, it's going to be no time before I'm pulling into your front yard.
The wife was already asking me about if the girlfriend's coming and stuff like that.
And she was like, did you meet her?
Have you seen her?
I was like, dude, I have zero clues.
I know her name.
And that's about it.
So it'll be a surprise for everybody.
But I'm guessing I won't be able to surprise guest you on that one because you're bringing her.
So you'll already know because she'll be with you.
But, no, hopefully she comes because my wife is super excited uh she wants to see who stole her man so uh we have to figure it
out when you get here so sneezy does she have a petrol wallet yet oh yeah she's out she's got a monkey. She's got some Goy. She's got a Goy gang.
Do you see her onboarding Apes' wife?
I could see her being the conduit with which I onboard Apes' wife.
Bro, I've been trying to onboard her for fucking three years
Please if any of you guys can help but that would be awesome
Like she has a bunch of sweet and a tease and a wallet that she just needs to fucking download the app so I can
Hand her the keys
Just put it on her phone then she's
then she's on boarded
then she can go look at them
she has to understand how it works
so she has to at least
do part of it
so that way if anything ever happens
she knows what to do with them
that's why you have a little black book in your drawer He knows what to do with them. Yes.
That's why you have a little black book in your drawer.
With all the keys to everything.
And a list of people that are...
She used to reach out to because yeah just a black book to her like she's got a bunch of Like, the fuck am I supposed to do with this?
She goes, that does seem like the ultimate prank. Like, I'll end up amassing this, like, Aptos fortune.
She'll just have, like, the Da Vinci Conan in a black book.
Sorry, I thought, oh shit.
Anyways, that was funny.
Oh man did you actually end up getting rugged yeah it brought me down and then it told me
I could come right back up and I was a speaker the data servers are on fire right now, for sure.
Wild, wild behavior from X.
We got Serena in the audience. Serena, you wanna come up?
No, I keep inviting her.
Did I make it back?
Yes, you're back.
Are you gone?
Oh, heck yeah.
Good evening.
Or good morning.
Hello, GM.
Can you hear me?
Crystal clear.
How have you been?
I'm fine, even though I have a sick dog again,
and so I'm nursing it for these past three days.
But, yeah, I'm fine.
Thank you for inviting me here, because I have an announcement to make for the Meowthy Cats.
I think it's official now,
because I have thought a lot of times about it
so i'm having a relaunch because there will be activities that it will um it's needed to be uh
it's needed to be uh like i should remove the limit per wallet i talked about and repesh about
it he said that he can't remove it already about the limit per wallet because i put 10 maximum
moon but then about my game and uh and other activities that me and mazzy emoni was talking
about um it needs to have like it's my collection should not have a limit for wallet so i'm planning
to relaunch the holders will still get um free nfts so i will airdrop it to like for example you is
an easy hre you has example you have 10 meadow cats i will airdrop you 10 free meadow cats and
if this under your lunch i hope that's good idea um yeah i was thinking a lot of things about it what will be your
sentiments about it but I think that's my decision right now I'm free to answer
any question
for the sedescent no i have a game called meowdy flight i was uh i didn't launch it yet but
maybe i will launch it um by third week of june i said first week of june but there's um change of plans so maybe on the third week of june um
so the number of lives you have will be your number of meurikets that you hold
so yeah that's the um the uh terms of the game and in the future i will still make more games and at the end of each month the top players
will have rewards and you might ask where should i get the fund for the rewards um
obviously i will get it from the mint from the sale of the mint but if the mint goes well you
know i'm i i was talking about the merchandise in web 2 and when there is a profit then i will put
some of it on the collection i mean on the funds on. Like for example, if there's a profit in the vector merchandise,
I will deposit on the, I don't know what to call it yet, maybe the community fund.
So that's where I should get the funds for the reward for the game.
So yeah, that's the plan
so let's go
With the relaunch
There'll be no
Limit on the wallets
Maybe I will reduce the mid price
Because it will be unlimited
And you need a lot of Melodydy cats nft for the game so yeah
maybe i will reduce the mint price
nice nice i love that and then for the people that hold meowdy cats i guess you said they're
going to be airdropped i'm'm assuming it's gonna be like more random
Beauty cats will be airdropped kind of like how are you thinking about that like
Is that on like you'll airdrop them right?
Sorry, not like what I meant it will be airdropped or something
Yeah, I will airdrop it like um i will get the the ids like the wallet address from the
holders of this medica's nft that is live right now i will get some help
I will get some help from Becker.
I think he knows how to do that.
He's laughing.
Yeah, this is what I said.
If you have 10 Yadigas NFT, then I will airdrop on your wallet.
10 Yadigas NFT under your launch.
Very cool.
And is that like if someone was to buy up until...
Because the Mint's still open on WAPA, right?
Oh, yeah. I'm thinking of cutting the supply now.
And maybe it's still a part of the...
Like the...
What do I call it?
Still be the part of this whole collection.
It's just that there's, I will just make restructuring,
like, yeah.
Okay, gotcha.
Nice, nice, nice.
So it's gonna be like a complimentary collection in addition to the new
Meowdy Cats collection, kinda.
Like these NFTs won't, uh, like it's just gonna, you're gonna lower the total
size of this current collection and then make a new Meowdy Cats, right?
Um, actually I will still talk about it to pecker so i message him
a while ago i messaged him a while ago so we still talk about it
okie dokie talk about a pecker also that game that sounds fun i uh i'm i'm excited to learn
more see more play more i i saw see the pokegey poke pinned to the top of a game uh a
screenshot that you made there and i can't wait to see more of this this looks freaking super cool
leaderboard aspect and is it like a flappy bird type of game or do you want to talk a little bit
about the game because that's uh maybe the first time uh we're hearing about it i'm excited
um yeah it's um fluffy bird type of king and it's called me out of flight
me out of flight i love it okay that's right that's you said that and i kind of thought it
was flypy bird style but i wasn't uh it could have been anything i don't know there's a lot
of different ways cats can fly i guess yeah it's just that there's a twist like your number of meori cats
that you hold is your number of lives you have and i don't know how many meori cats
mr czar was holding but he's the highest score of as of now yeah
highest score as of now.
That is a good question.
How many cats is he holding?
By the way, I have a question.
Trey, do you
know of a rarity
checker in Aptos for NFTs?
checker for Aptos for NFTs? A rarity checker for Aptos NFTs?
Because I know there's a rarity checker
and TradePort, but they're always
showing different rarities,
so I'm not sure.
Yeah, they are
definitely...
Their ranking or rarity methodology is definitely different.
Why it's different, I'm not totally sure.
But I just lean to Waple being the source of truth.
I mean, I think it's just personal preference,
but maybe that's something that needs to be made or something,
like an aggregator tool or something between the two.
Because I'm pretty sure, yeah,
there isn't a standardization between them for some reason.
So by the way, with the source,
sorry, the caveman i would open the discord before friday i'm gonna set up a verification box so yeah um
yeah so i'm gonna make a custom notification bot for the caveman.
So if you have a caveman, then you could enter the Discord.
Because right now it's still closed.
And there's not really much in the Discord yet.
But since I'll be starting to kind of dish out stuff,
I'm going to start activating Discord.
Thank you, Abe, for holding it down every day.
Love you for that.
Holding it down, saying the GMs.
I was going to say, I popped up when he said there's not much in the Discord.
I was going to say, there's something up in said there's not much in the Discord. I was going to say,
there's something up in the Discord.
It's a lot of GMs.
That's the only thing in the Discord.
But that is a lot of things for somebody,
I would say.
You'll never know.
That's the one thing I can count on every morning
in the pirate discord as well
yeah as long as it's a monday through friday i'll usually get you guys taken care of
that's awesome i always i always respond to it
And I feel like
And then he's gone
Oh I'm in and out bro
I gotta get those GMs going
It's a lot to go through
50 discords
And 50 telegrams
Two accounts on X
I'm just joking
I just like to
To say GM back I'm like I know apers Sometimes you I'm just joking. I just like to say GM back.
I'm like, I know apers.
Sometimes you throw a heart in there, too, and I'm like, nice.
Yeah, I do see them.
Yeah, I do see them.
I see them every day if that makes you feel better.
I just might not respond to them every day.
That's okay, yeah.
I see the hearts.
I'm like, let's go.
like let's go you made a bet appreciate you
You made a bet.
Appreciate you.
yo let's go and we got about 10 more minutes left and then we'll tidy this
space up put a pin in it call it episode 61 ship it off to the presses
Anybody wants to come up?
If not, we will just carry on
talking to our wonderful speakers.
That sounds fun, too.
No, it's all fun, man.
Yeah, bro, I'm making this meal right now that I can't wait to eat.
Yo, Sneezy, what do you think?
Oh, okay, go ahead.
You can talk about food first, let's go.
No, no, no, what do I think about what?
but he's still going to be eating what he's going to be eating.
He's still going to be eating what he's going to be eating.
No, I was just going to say, what do you think?
Do you have any alpha on, like, any protocol that's coming in next?
Like, do you have any scoops?
I mean, we have, like, a lot of new protocols that came in in June.
I'm sorry, in May.
just know what everybody else knows.
Yeah, I'm just curious.
doing some flip vault trading.
Have you guys been playing with flip vault at all it's pretty pretty fun actually
sorry keeps asking for a one-on-one so
juice that offer up trade i'm trying to trade man i'm trying to trade if anyone has offered
or wants to trade send me some offline offers the the live trades super hard i think i've done
one live trade and that that feels like a challenge like i have to be like dming people
to be like yeah i'll get on flip vaulted to trade but offline trades, yeah, send them over. I got a few out.
I got one out to Brent right now.
Is any of you
the creator in Flipball?
Sorry, no, Flip predictions.
I was curious, is anyone yet?
Can anyone open marketing yet
or is it not available as of now?
Not available, I don't think.
Right, Sneezy?
No, I don't think publicly.
No, I don't think publicly.
I think they have a couple people.
I think they have a few people that are.
I think they have a few people that are.
No, because Trey, I was thinking we should open, like,
eSport predictions, you know?
Oh, that would be fun.
Well, it's like, what are the odds of Aftos having a Valorant team?
And I'd put that at 100%.
And I'd put that at 100%.
Yeah, just like, wait, how many people are playing Valorant right now?
Like, I know you, me, and Snoop Dogg.
I'm not going to lie.
I haven't played Valorant in a few weeks,
but I feel like I could jump back in at any time.
I'm ready to join the roster.
I've never been good anyway, so
it would make a difference.
It doesn't matter how long I play.
We're stuck in the silver,
bronze, wood ranks. Don't worry.
But yeah, no, I think it would be cool to open
like an eSport
prediction market.
Even like the pro matches,
it would be cool to just talk about
on this base what's happening that'd be fun yeah that'd be fun i don't honestly if you are following
that i where do you usually stay up to date with the the pro leagues is there like a certain account
that you follow um no um egypt they always um have live stream of whatever like matches are on
there's like tournament count strike um league of legends
are you just are you watching are you on any certain account that's doing this or it's just
like you follow all the the pro league accounts or. I don't really subscribe from anybody in YouTube except for the episodes
after dark, but yeah.
Oh, wow. So your, your feed, your feed just has it. Okay. Dang.
Yeah. My feed is not, I think it's the algo. So like I keep searching for like,
you know, I mean, I keep stumbling upon Valorant or like this e-sport videos.
Yeah. So it's just the algo.
I feel like
Sneezy's going to kill us
if they keep talking about esports.
We should get him into
Yeah, right.
What a rip-tender, Chip.
a fan of Valorant. We tried.
We tried. We tried.
Maybe we just haven't tried hard enough.
This is true.
But yeah, no, I hope that we get,
one of us gets to, like, open, like, predictions soon.
Yeah, I'm pumped for that.
I think predictions are going to be fun.
Definitely.
What other things have been that you've been playing
around with,
Becker? Or honestly, Panda,
A-Person, Serene, anyone?
If anyone's been
messing with any protocols,
projects, anything that
anyone's been kind of
tinkering or playing with that you found
interesting lately yeah for me nothing much um i'm just really into like how those things kind
of work just my curiosity um but last night i did like um i did like a self walkthrough with with um flip predictions so that's why i got curious
like if anybody can grade markets right now oh okay kika did you see that kikachu they they hosted
like a live um flip prediction kind of hangout
um flip prediction kind of hang out
no i didn't i didn't see yes i did see that they made like a market for i think it was football
so yeah it's a pretty interesting kind of i'm pretty sure it was for soccer
i don't know man i i i know it was football but yeah so they have a lot of things
like they're cooking a lot of things with predictions and it's kind of interesting because
people like to predict on things and last night we had subrey kind of explain to us how cricket works because they have some market opens for like the cricket league in India.
So yeah, I didn't get much of it, but I hope the homies did so they can explain to me.
I think it was like Zorro, Mr. D.
There were, TTV was there with Subri.
People like predictions.
People, I am still surprised we don't see more gambling products on this,
I know Sneezy,
we were talking about this in the past like
just just just more dj and gambling just straight up gambling right like flick
predictions is like a step removed from gambling but like just straight up just
gambling stuff i'm just i don't know i was i'm just still surprised we got
right and on chain randomness right it's just built for gambling in some regard
It's uh, it's kind of in the the the underlying ethos of it. So i'm still
Just floored
That this doesn't have we don't have more dj gambling
They'll come.
I mean, in due time.
In due time, indeed.
Indeed, indeed.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think, like, it's the bear market, right?
I mean, considering the market flow, we're just coming into the bull.
So I feel like the D-Chant stuff will come to the tail end of the bull market.
That's probably a fair point, yeah.
Aptos Summer, though. Here we go.
I'm ready for it. I'm here for it.
NFTs have been ripping, by the way.
Have you guys noticed that?
It's been crazy as far as all the activity.
So it's really cool to see a lot of people trading just so much activity
on NFTs. And it's like looking like the entire ecosystem within NFTs too, not just like
any particular project like we've seen in the past few months. It's like a dozen projects or,
you know, 10 projects, which is, you know, pretty healthy to see. I mean, our volume overall is also as an ecosystem,
pretty high for NFTs in comparison to where we've been the past few months. So healthy,
healthy to see that that's picking up and hope we continue to see more people trading and getting
involved in picking up NFTs, sniping. It would be fun to bring that culture back.
I mean, sniping NFTs,
like they just sniping and just in general,
like finding, getting that excitement
to see an NFT that you won, you know.
I mean, I'm about it.
I'm about it.
I saw a floored pirate the other day
and I was just like, no way, this is too good.
And I went and picked it up.
Like, you know, it's just like, you know, one of those men.
And again, it was like a pirate.
So I guess like I am biased for sure.
But I hope more people are having that type of vibe and feeling as the NFT season kind of picks up more on Aptos.
Because it's a fun time, I feel like, for collectors and people that are interested in NFTs in general.
You guys noticing that?
All the volume?
It's been kind of nuts.
It's insane how certain projects out of nowhere are getting swept.
Like, you're seeing it more and more.
Like, this one gets swept.
That one got swept.
There's a lot of buys coming through on the NFTs.
Yeah, dude, that's what I'm saying.
It's just, and i don't
even know if it's like it's like sweepings happening but also just volume back like a lot
of just trading in general like i i don't know like it just in comparison it's just like total
aggregate aptos nft volume is just much much higher than where we were like let's just say three months ago four months ago what do you guys think of the new lego one i'm a diehard lego fan and i was kind of
excited to see this i remember i won whitelist like right when they first started announcing
months ago but i'm kind of curious like what do you guys think of the process so far they've minted what 500 and some out of 3 000 so they're
30 some percent minted out how you guys feel that thing will go
i don't know much about their project to be honest with you i i do agree like they're they're the lego
you know uh is pretty infamous
right so but I will say that it does
it does exist on other
chains so I am curious like you know if they
got inspiration from the other chains or
how they're feeling about it but
I have not
heard much about their
I think we're running a competition
right now like if you
complete some sort of set,
you get a reward, like a bounty.
Yeah, if you get a full mint type thing
of a real character,
like a Wolverine or a Hulk or a Chewie,
yeah, they'll give you some whatever.
But yeah, I know.
I see what you're saying, Trey.
They're not really putting out too much info
of what they plan on doing
or that much aspect.
They're just pushing them into it now.
But I don't know.
I still had to buy a couple
because I fucking love LEGO.
So we'll see how it goes.
Yeah, let's go.
I mean, that's what's up there.
They've been here.
They've been building.
Yeah, exactly.
And Sneeze, you just pinned at the top,
the NFT recap for May.
That kind of says it all right there.
300k in total trading volume.
That's wild.
That's actually insane, man. I never even knew that. Wow. That is crazy. Thanks for pointing that, Sne's wild. That's actually insane, man.
I never even knew that.
Thanks for posting that face.
$300,000 in a month, man.
And it's just a start.
Like, it's just warming up.
Yeah, dude.
Honestly, think about that.
Because if you go and look, it's like the past, the past three months has been, uh been like 400K.
So in the last month, 300,000 basically tripled the volume in May in some regard.
We went from basically 50K months to now 300K. Six times it. Six times it, yeah times i'm excited to see what next month is if
we if we see an uptrend again then you know that the nfts are back big yeah that's that's pretty
cool to see that's bullish signals um so let's see yeah let's see what next month looks like
it's true let's see or june say, right? Like you're saying that's
we got a, is it NFT season? Cause I'm also seeing this on other chains too.
It doesn't feel like it's a, like, you know, people are just getting bullish on NFTs again, buying NFTs up. It's a, it's pretty fun.
See, I see a lot more NFTs though, coming out with, um, like products and, uh,
utility basically. Right. Where a lot of meme where a lot of meme a lot of meme projects and i mean
most memes in aptos have utility back behind them so that's not even one to say talk about but if
you look at other chains memes are more like we were talking about this in a space the other night
memes are more info like web 2 they're they're more just a picture and a community behind it pushing it
hard right until you actually offer utility and a worthwhile experience to the ecosystem which i
mean you look at gwee gway however you want to say it right they've got utility you look at most of
the meme tokens in Aptos
and they all have utility.
And a lot of these new NFTs that are coming out
have games behind them or this behind them or that,
which is all utility,
which is more leaning towards the real aspect of Web3, right?
I don't know.
It was a conversation we had the other night
how like more people are going to start switching the NFTs
and stuff with the real communities and the people who are working hard behind them.
Cause it actually has a product and not just shilling out a name every day.
Well, yeah.
I mean, but it also feels like it's a, you can have both, right?
Uh, uh, like a hundred percent.
If you have the, uh, you know the product the utility the nft the community you
can still have a meme token because everybody's supporting and they're going to keep and it's
another aspect of just hyping the project but some of these people that just launched just
the straight meme it and with nothing else except depending on the community to go out there and
keep shilling chilling chilling you're not going to have as good of a chance as a community that has a meme, an NFT, a
utility, a product that's actually out there producing income for the ecosystem.
Well, that's the other thing we got to.
Yeah, I think it's like finding, building things that I think that's that's the meta
That's the new meta.
Like you're saying is like building stuff that generates revenue,
building a business. Like, you know, I think that's, that's a,
I think much different than where we were in 2021.
I think that's, I was going to go right there. Yeah, exactly.
Back in 2020, 2021, it was all just,
you post a picture of a funny little whatever,
make a character and that thing will pump with nothing behind it. People tired of that now now it's like okay how are you gonna actually
make me money instead of my money sitting there and i'm hoping john doe doesn't sell on me yep
a hundred percent a hundred percent that's a good point gotta be shipping
fun times but that's where like aptos literally you look at most of the Got to be shipping.
Fun times.
But that's where like Aptos literally, you look at most of the popular meme tokens, meme communities, they all have utility now.
Like I was saying, Gwee, I mean, I can't really say Batman because I'm kind of team Batman but Batman he's producing games that have ad revenue
that make money right like
there's many many
projects out there that are all in Aptos
that are creating
utility and actual like
real life situations
to make money
not just like a B&B miner that eventually if you're the last one to buy in you're losing right
a thousand percent a thousand a thousand percent it's good actually is there an aptos miner is
that has that ever been created a what like you remember the miners how one person buys in and you like keep growing your
seeds every day then you invest your seeds and you get more every day like the miners
remember the miners from bsc and they're still going on but it's almost like a bubble
first person's in always getting rich. The last person's supplying everybody else, right?
I'm curious if there's a way to do a minor on Aptos,
but where it's actual revenue state
and it doesn't just end
because too many people jumped in.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I remember the...
What was it?
There was a bunch of those type of uh
like kind of funny games in some regard that were like pretty interesting uh
back in the day man i again i'm just surprised yeah like that kind of doesn't think doesn't
doesn't exist yet i I mean, it,
I'm sure we will in this upcoming cycle. Cause we, like you said, Panda,
like we got a lot more people building on Aptos now than ever.
So I'm excited to see what kind of new interesting degen things start to come
around when the bull cycle starts to really hit and how, how people,
what kind of funny things we'll be doing in a six six months from now or whatever period of time, you know?
What kind of ways that we can basically put Aptos in and who knows what we'll get out.
I don't even know.
Tickets to some random thing that, who knows?
Lottery tickets, right?
Like, that's another thing.
I'm just so surprised lottery
it's like a
yeah anyway
yeah a lot more building a lot more
fun to be had I think that's going to be a lot more
DGN is utility though you know if you can
build something that's DGN and
has utility there's still something there
especially when it's like near free to
to do it outside of that event that's what i'm saying you can dj there's a bunch of things you
can do dgen that are still yeah like it doesn't have to be insane i don't know
The cost of gas is nothing.
the cost of gas is nothing so it's like you're you're you could literally do
So it's like you're, you're, you can literally do.
Not like, you know, you can run anything really.
That's like 0.01 entry or something.
That's like, you know, even that's what I love about Aptos too.
Like the cost is nothing for gas.
Look at farming like drips, right?
You lose maybe a couple of dollars and you gain.
Now I'm like into the thousands of drips. It's insane. I just, I decided one night I was a little
bit drunk before my birthday. I was like, I'm going to transfer a shitload of Aptos out of my
exchange and just keep swapping. And I maybe ten dollars and i gained three thousand drips
that's yeah that's a pretty perfect example that's a pretty perfect example of what you
what you can do no literally no financial loss but you're still able to have fun use the protocol
and and you know see what's feasible and possible
with the drips in that regard,
that particular example. But that goes
for all the products, right? Like, no matter
if anyone's building stuff,
like, the cost to interact is just
so low. You're basically building
a Web2 product with the
power of Web3.
100%. I mean, we got Key keyless we got uh you know um
aftos connect to to abstract away the wallets and then you have like literally like sponsored gas
so you don't even have to pay gas on a lot of the projects and if you do it's gas is irrelevant
basically so you know you can give someone basically 0.1 aftos and they'll
probably be good for six months uh see i don't know how many people remember that 300 400 gui
way back in the day with ether where like you're trying to sell you have dusty at 50 bucks worth
of a token but the gas fee was 300 dollars oh dude i remember and that's why i absolutely love aptos
because i've never you'll never see more than a dollar in gas fee you don't even see more than
10 cents yeah i was about to say a dollar we got to be at 10 billion tps to be at a dollar and even
then i don't yeah like it's what sub pennies right now like it's literally less than a penny yeah it's less
than a penny so it's like you know it's it's so and i remember trading out like four hundred
dollars and losing 250 trading out a thousand losing 250 that that adds up man like over a
year back in the hype when you were doing trades daily in the trenches, 250, 250, 100, 100, 250, that's thousands of dollars.
Imagine that type of hype on Aptos and it's coming soon.
Once some other people are realizing, grow up and smarten up that you're losing money
playing on these other chains, right?
That is correct.
That is correct.
I mean, we have the million dollar day or the million mint day. And I don't know if you guys remember that on Aptos, but we had the million mints in one single day where they were testing the chain. And I'm pretty sure like most of us, even if we were involved in the million mint day, like didn't even notice at all that it was happening. It didn't impact your day-to-day.
There was a million
mints that happened in a very
short period of time, and
it did not impact anyone's
user experience or the cost of gas.
It was still
pretty much at zero
to use this protocol.
I don't think I was there for
that, but I remember uh because recently
few months back whatever it was what was it top topos their top toss or whatever and they were
really really pushing with the hearts oh yeah they keep tap tap tap tap tapping right yeah like and
what did we do we our servers barely hit orange like our servers barely took an effect with all that volume.
That's what I really love is you can pump this thing and pump it and they're just holding strong.
Like they're not about to crash.
Unlike other chains where if you put a tenth of that into it, holy shit.
Like chaos, right?
Yep, yep, yep.
Eventually one day pirates will be out there and we'll be we'll be helping push that number up but uh i i agree
does that come down to like i'm still learning so this is a serious question does that come down to
the amount of validators and stuff that aptos has or does that come down to a combination
of validators and just the draw from the coding. How cheap it is?
How do you get more TPS?
Like, yeah, yeah, exactly.
Like, how do you, is it, or is it something the developers can set a fee?
Like, can Ethereum lower their gas if they wanted to?
Or is it all based on the code?
It's, I mean, I think that's the simple answer.
I think we need someone that's about 10 times or 100 times smarter than me. Like, where's Greg at?
To answer how they get to Raptor and how they're getting to these insane, hard to fathom TPS numbers.
these insane, hard to fathom TPS numbers.
But yeah, generally the TLDR here
is that we have the best blockchain team
in pretty much the world.
And those blockchain experts are fundamentally pushing
the balance of what blockchains people think of
when it comes to blockchain consensus,
like how you come to consensus
and how you can execute at scale.
And that's kind of also the feat of parallel parallel parallelism.
Oh my gosh. Someone help me here. I'm drowning parallel parallelism.
I think I don't under, I don't know the word, but I hear you.
Paralyzation. Thank you. My God.
Wait, is that right? That was brutal for me to say but yeah i mean that
that's a big one right like that wasn't a thing that was super common before move in general so
um yeah i mean that's that's that's ultimately the answer best blockchain team in the world
leads to some of the most innovative aspects of any chain that exists today.
And those researchers and developers that are pushing forward Aptos
are the reason where those engineers and researchers are, you know,
why we get to go and talk about building a game that can, you know,
push thousands of TPS and no one even thinks about it.
And that's just one game, right?
Imagine having tens of games that are pushing 10,000 TPS and, you know, or, you know, one
massive enterprise client that's pushing a million TPS like a visa or something, you
know, or they're only doing 14,000 TPS or something.
So they don't do very much.
That's insane that that aptos can handle
all the master cards in the world times like 50 in a day exactly exactly so it's um yeah i i i
that's that's that's what it all comes down to right team the team that is behind aptos that's
that is behind Aptos.
That's really it.
Now, to get to actually how
or why, like the code level, or
if we were to talk more in detail about this,
BrokePacker to step up here.
