My name is Anna, community manager at the Arbitron Foundation and with us as well is
Chase from the Offchain Labs team, partnerships and yeah, we also have PD.
So yeah, maybe we can start with some introductions.
Maybe we can start with who's behind the Darwinia account and then PD.
Or partnerships, we can start with our partnerships.
Or partnerships, would you like to introduce yourself from Darwinia network?
Hey, Heather, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Anna, thanks for thanks for hosting.
Hi. Hey, Anna. Thanks for hosting. Can everybody hear me?
Yeah, we can hear you. Hey, Chase.
Excited to have you here. Thank you for joining. And yeah, seems like, I don't know if Darvinia team.
Oh, yeah. Now we have you.
Hello. Welcome. Super excited to have you. Thank you for coming by and sharing more about Darvinia. I'm super excited for this AMA.
And yeah, wondering if you would like to introduce yourself like more about you, your role in Darvinia.
Okay, I cannot hear, but yeah, sorry. X is a bit rough sometimes.
Can you hear that? Chase?
Hello. Can you hear me now?
I guess I can, if you guys, are you guys ready or do you want me to introduce Darvinia?
Yeah, we are ready. You can go first. You can go first.
Okay, yeah. Well, I guess I'll quickly introduce myself. I'm Chase from the Offchain Labs partnership success team. I work with a lot of infra teams, including, you know, bridges and interop solutions like Darwinia.
It was reached out to a few weeks ago. So excited to, you know, learn more, share more about Darwinia with the community. And hopefully you guys can all work together.
Okay. Okay. Okay. So I think I'll go next. I am David, also known as PD. And yeah, I am the community groups manager at Darwinia. So just jumping off the excitement, you did mention about me reaching out a few weeks ago. Yeah, I did that, man. And yeah, I love it. I mean, I'm excited to be here today. So let's have it. Yeah.
Amazing. Super cool to have you, David, for sure. And Chase, I think David cannot hear me. But if you can help me, like, I'm going to ask the question and maybe you can ask him as well the questions or maybe you're going to be the main host today because of this drug.
No problem.
No problem. No problem.
No problem.
No problem.
The first question was like, what is Darwinia and how is helping the ecosystem? So yeah, if you can ask him.
It's Anna, yeah, yeah. It's Anna, yeah.
Oh, you can hear me now?
Where's Hannah? I can't hear you, Hannah.
Oh, okay. Can you hear me?
Yes, I can. Yes, I can.
So bizarre. Okay. So first question. Just what is, what is Darwinia and how do you guys work with Arbitrum and other layer twos?
Okay. So Darwinia on the basic level powers the crushing capabilities of blockchain applications. So we are currently at the forefront of developing innovative crushing service solutions with the focus on powering just crushing capabilities for applications.
You understand? We are committed to staying ahead of the course and we will always want to introduce solutions which align with our commission. And yeah. So yeah. How do we integrate with the Arbitrum community?
So yeah. How do we integrate with the Arbitrum ecosystem is that we use Arbitrum as a layer two to facilitate crushing services. So yeah. That's, I think that's why we come to the mix. So users who have tokens,
have tokens on any chain trying to move to somewhere on Arbitrum could use a solution made by Darwinia and it's obviously going to be powered by Darwinia's message port. So yeah, that's a bit of what it looks like.
That sounds great.
Sounds great. We, we obviously appreciate anybody fostering interop within the, within the Arbitrum ecosystem. We want as many people to be connected to, to Arbitrum as possible.
How can, how can, how can the Arbitrum community interact more closely with Darwinia?
Uh, okay. That's a great question. Um, we, we strive to make these interactions as organic as possible. And, uh, yeah. Um, the Arbitrum ecosystem could interact with Darwinia
Darwinia. More on, um, the community level. So we have a DAO arm, which is called Darwinia community DAO. And, uh, it is through this arm, um, in which, um, we are able to, um, reach out to projects in which we are able to grow the Darwinia network.
So, um, uh, so, um, arbitrary, um, community, arbitrary ecosystem could, um, interact with the Darwinia network via the DAO arm as the DAO arm powers every other thing. So we have a DAO called Darwinia community DAO.
And, um, yeah, you could interact in the form of a developer if you have, um, let's say a question solution in which you are looking to, um, build and, um, you are looking for a very perfect solution that offers high level, um, cross-chain services.
Then you should be looking at Darwinia. If you are also, um, let's say a community member looking to contribute to the growth and development of the, of DAOs, you could also play a role in our ecosystem.
If whatever you, I mean, we are inviting content creators, whatever niche you serve in the world.
Okay. Hi, hi, Chase. Seems like we, we lost David, right? For a second.
Yep. Uh, did he, did he just rejoin?
Okay. Yeah. Cool. Super. So let's wait a little bit.
Yeah. Sometimes X is very rugged.
It's very rugged.
Hey, so, um, David, can you hear us?
Right now, David is like, uh, as a listener. So let me...
Partnership dude, can you hear us?
Did you say something, Partnership? PD?
It was a little, uh...
Okay, no. I, I cannot hear anything, but...
Um, I'm going to request David to rejoin the space and...
And yeah, how are you, Chase? Anything exciting about Arbitrum this day for you?
Uh, yeah, I want to shout out, I want to shout out DodoChain.
Um, they just announced today. Can we, uh...
Anna, do you think it would be possible to actually pin that tweet in the space?
Oh, yeah, for sure. Let's, uh, PD just join. He's back.
Oh, great. DodoChain is the first restaked, uh, roll-up using the Arbitrum orbit stack.
So, using eigenlayer security, using the ETH securities provided by eigenlayer, I should say.
Um, they'll be building a layer 3 on top of Arbitrum 1.
Uh, people might wonder what that means.
Essentially, instead of doing a node sale and paying people to run nodes,
or, you know, bootstrapping their own validator network, which can be expensive,
um, they'll have added security, uh, from Ethereum.
It's, I, I'm not sure how much they've actually received in terms of, like...
Hey, Karthra PD, welcome back.
Welcome back. We, we were just sharing some stuff about the Arbitrum ecosystem before you joined back.
But, yeah, happy to have you back. Can you hear me now?
Oh, maybe it's not... Chase, can you help me here? Because it seems like...
Yeah, can you, can you hear us, Petey? Darwinia, can you hear us?
Oh no, so sad.
I will be in some information about Darwinia in the moment.
And yeah, I also pinned the information about DodoChain for sure.
So you can check it out about...
This is what Chase was sharing a few seconds ago.
About the Arbitrum Arcade for sure, you can check it out.
And the weekly newsletter we have.
We are sharing this one every Friday for you to see what's going on in the Arbitrum ecosystem.
So yeah, you can check it out. It's a, it's a cool one.
And no, BD is not listening to us, I think.
But he's working on it. Awesome.
He's joining back.
Apologies for the technical difficulties, guys.
You can, you can tweet at Elon any of your, any of your issues.
Any complaints, any complaints go to Elon.
Yeah, let's tag him and tell him.
Hear me loudly now.
There we go.
Okay, okay.
I'm having a bit of issues with my network. I'm so sorry.
So where did you last hear me? Let's get this going.
Awesome. Can you hear me now, David?
Yes, I can hear you loud and clear now.
Oh, that's awesome. Cool. Yeah.
Well, awesome.
So you were telling us on how can the community can interact and learn, learn more.
But I don't know if you already finished or do you want to share something else?
I think I was, I did mention about joining as a developer and yeah, as a content creator, as a community member, as an investor, as someone looking to explore new technologies and the rest of that.
So, yes, I did mention about that. And yeah, we have an upcoming developer event in May. So I'll pull that up here.
I'll see if I can.
So it says.
So this developer event is something we are looking to welcome developers from an ecosystem like Arbitrum. So we are, okay. Let me just put it up first of all.
Can you hear me now?
That's good.
I just shared this stage.
Arbitrum space.
So we are looking to get in touch with fantastic developers from the Arbitrum community who are looking to explore what our message port looks like.
And yeah, so that's it. So I think we could continue for me.
Great. Thanks for glad we're glad, glad we're, you know, finally able to answer the first or second question again. Sorry for the technical difficulty guys.
Next one for Darwinia. What are your plans to expand to, you know, other ecosystems? Will you be adding Cosmos or, you know, and or IVC support?
Um, okay. That sounds great. Obviously. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Of the answer. So, um, as a crushing gateway for DAPS, um, Darwinia plans to integrate with, um, ecosystems or networks like that of Cosmos ecosystem, that of Solana.
Um, and, um, the reason is this, we, we, we look to provide a unified cross chain interface and service for developers in all ecosystems. So, um, we want to make it very possible for developers to interact across all chains without having any glitch and stuff like that.
So we did something similar with Polkadot. So we did something similar with Polkadot.
So we, uh, project and, um, our integration with Polkadot was on an XCMP level.
If you know a little bit about, a little bit about the Polkadot ecosystem, you would know that the XCMP is more like the messaging protocol behind, um, Polkadot applications.
And, um, yeah, we can also do something like that similar to IBC. Um, although, um, we currently primarily serve EVM chains.
And, um, if in any case, the Solana developers or the Cosmos developers require our services, require our gateway, then, um, we could work out something provided there are some sort of, um, ecosystem sponsorship or even ecosystem.
Or even ecosystem support. I mean, once there's a need for it, then there's a way for it. So we could always work it out.
Gotcha. Gotcha. And who would you consider some of your, uh, closest peers in the space?
Uh, okay. Uh, closest peers, closest peers, closest peers. All right. All right. Uh, I would say, uh, our closest peers, uh, projects who focus solely on the space.
But solely on cross chain messaging and chain abstraction, such as, uh, the layer zero, uh, the network.
And even most recently, one whole technologies. So, um, we are close to them, but we aren't really peers because we offer something more unique.
Like, and that is, we are more close to the app developers, you understand. We have more close to these application developers. So I would like to, uh, see the layer zero,
AXELA, and the rest of them as more like fly flights routes when moving across companies. And I'd like to see, um, as an airport. So we like these messaging protocols used, uh, um, that of even zero.
And then once like customers to place and mix, it's a very easy entry points for DAFs to assess all these capabilities all in one.
This model is, it's a lot more beneficial than the conventional ones used by the layers running as a DAF because it makes for a more flexible approach to access this question.
For example, uh, um, support service, which is, um, a robust, um, compound messaging system similar to multi-signature set up.
Could use, uh, that past MP messaging protocol, or even that of layer zero to, uh, to its chain operation.
Um, and it has a back area that even, um, the, um, the, if it is, uh, the cross-operation operation is true and it will still occur.
So we, we focus solely on the best experiences for these developers and it's very flexible and easier to use.
So this is, this is ideal for scenarios and high security and electricity to costs, such as, um, let's say the DAO .
So I'd like to say, .
Are you getting, uh, feedback on your end too?
Hey PD, it's, uh, I think you kind of cut out.
You maybe, uh, drove under a bridge or something.
Oh no, yeah, it's rocked.
It's rocked.
It's rocked.
It's rocked.
It's rocked.
It's rocked.
It's rocked.
Can you hear it, Chase?
Um, no, it's very, very spotting.
It seems like I gotta send a DM.
Just send, send him a DM that I think we lost him.
Yeah, so bad.
It's unfortunate.
It's unfortunate.
Um, but yeah, sorry, sorry about this guys.
I know a lot of people wanted to learn more about Darwinia.
Um, definitely, definitely, definitely a good team.
Um, unfortunate that, that they'll, uh, I hope, I hope you guys at least got something
out of this.
Again, maybe it was Dodo chain launching on Arbitrum first restaked roll up, you know, sort of kicking
off that restaked roll up narrative in the, in the orbit ecosystem.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, that's true.
Many things happening in the Arbitrum ecosystem.
And yeah, for sure.
Super exciting to, to have now that a, that a chain is here pin, by the way, if you want
to check it out.
And yeah, let me see if the Arbitrum, you know, sort of kicking off that restaked roll
up narrative in the, in the orbit ecosystem.
Yeah, that's true.
Many things happening in the Arbitrum ecosystem.
And yeah, for sure.
Super exciting to, to have now that a, that a chain is here pin, by the way, if you want to
check it out.
And yeah, let me see if David can join, but yeah, in other news, like very cool things
are happening in the Arbitrum ecosystem for sure.
Like bold, which is now on testnet that could allow permissionless validation on Arbitrum.
And this means that Arbitrum chains could become more decentralized and more secure.
with this.
So yeah, super, this is super exciting to be honest.
And yeah, that's a, this is going to be open as well to the DAO to vote on it, to decide
to, if this is going to be integrated or not.
But yeah, you can check it out now.
It's on testnet.
And yeah, PD is back.
Let's see.
Hey, hey PD, you back?
Yeah, me too.
So I, I think now, PD, I know, I know that you, you had some questions for, yeah, for, for
us, like about Arbitrum in general.
So, so yeah.
I'm wondering if you would like to go and ask, ask the questions that you have to answer
Or, or yeah, or maybe you would like to share something else about Darwinia too.
I know that you have some plans for 2024.
So wondering if you would like to share something about that before we jump in about Arbitrum.
About what?
I didn't get the last part.
Maybe you would like to share something more, something else about Darwinia, like about
your plans, what's coming for this year before we start talking about Arbitrum.
That's fine.
That's fine.
Um, so we have been down building Darwinia message bots, which is ready for use now for
developers.
And, um, what we are super excited about right now is our X accounts.
So it's a product.
It's a very cool one called X accounts.
Accounts abstraction at the question level.
So these innovative concepts create, um, a counterpart accounts on the target chain
for an existing accounts on the source chain.
And, um, these counterparts account is creates for you is under the exclusive control of the
original address on the source chain.
So, um, something of this nature could be useful in, um, let's say crushing governance
system where, um, let's say you have, um, your tokens on a particular chain and you really
want to vote for, let's say proposal.
Uh, but this target chain doesn't really support the source chain.
So using our X accounts unified system, it allows you to now, um, use those tokens, even
though they are on any chain.
It allows you to use those tokens to make, um, let's say votes on a proposal.
That's like an instance in which it can be used.
And, um, yeah, this X accounts, uh, simplifies, like, the user experience.
So this doesn't really have to bother the stuff about trying to bridge and trying to move from
these to these.
So the X accounts simplifies this process.
And, um, yeah, it's a refined iteration of the message votes question functionalities.
And it's crafted to streamline the process for users involved in processing transactions
and making it more accessible, making it more user-friendly and just focusing on the greatest
experience for our, um, users.
So yes, X accounts is something to look forward to from the developer side.
Then on the side of the DAO, we are looking to expand, uh, our reach to multiple DAOs across
different ecosystems.
We are looking forward to attending some live events where Darwinian message ports can be
showcased for developers to learn how to use our technology for developers to actually experiment
the power in which this tool offers them.
So we're looking forward to the X accounts.
We're looking forward to expanding the DAO.
We're looking forward to multiple integrations.
I mean, multiple integrations with projects who need our gateway services and stuff like
So yeah, that's what we're looking forward to as an ecosystem.
That's super interesting.
And I, I also would like to know more about like the DAO.
Like I know you also have a DAO on here as well.
If, if the community want to know more about the DAO, I'm going to pin here the, the X account,
but, but yeah, how can the community be part also of the, of the Darwinian DAO?
Hey, real quick.
Sorry guys.
I have to, I have to drop off, but it was great to learn more PD.
Sorry again about the, the technical difficulties.
Um, and everybody enjoy, enjoy their week.
All right, Chase.
See you soon.
Thank you, Chase.
Thank you for helping out.
Uh, so, uh, um, you did mention about the DAO.
So, um, the very easy way to join the Darwinian community DAO is to be a member of our Discord server in
Pakistan because, um, it's, uh, it has a segment for the DC DAO and like a sense, like a work group,
which tries to foster the growth and development of Darwinian network as a whole.
Um, and so we have, we are, we are in the process of setting up structures.
We're in the process of setting up, um, different, um, um, functionalities and stuff like that to allow community members to propose ideas and bring them to life.
I mean, very good ideas.
So we have a governance system, which is on snapshots at the moment.
So, um, to be considered a full member of the Darwinian community DAO, you might need, or you would definitely need to have what's called the DC DAO profile NFTs.
So what does DC DAO profile NFTs enable you to do is to be able to vote on proposals concerning the DAO on snapshots.
That's a typical example for that.
And, um, yeah, you could also, um, become a full member of the DAO by joining the snapshots, joining the Discord, and also contributing to discussions regarding our development on Jithub.
So Jithub has, in recent times, become, um, a central hub for our, our ecosystem.
And that's because we are focused on development of that.
So, um, it's, it always, it always sounds appropriate to, um, be at a center where you can communicate freely with the developers and also, um, propose discussions, carry out some issues and the rest of that.
So, um, yes, to become a full member of the DAO and also contributes, you'd have to join our Discord server.
You'd have to apply for, um, DC DAO profile NFTs, which allows you to vote on proposals.
And you would also need to be a member of our Jithub community because discussions concerning development, discussions concerning, um, a new release or whatever the case may be, gas fees, um, and rest of that goes on there.
So, yeah, that's what it looks like.
That's super cool.
To be honest, yeah, it's, it's very cool that, uh, in the Web3 ecosystem, like in general, the community can also be part of this kind of protocols, like the technology in general and how it works.
And, and yeah, for, to decentralize even more the, the technology.
So, so yeah, that is very cool.
Like community owning and be part of the, of the ecosystem is very nice.
And yeah, well, David, eh, I think we will be super cool if we can reschedule our, a new AMA for, for, yeah, to, for, for these technical issues we had.
And also to, to have chase with us.
Eh, so, so yeah, wondering if, if you're okay with that, and maybe for this one, you can, we can close with a call to action for the community, maybe, or a, or yeah, I, some, some, some, some other thoughts that you would like to share.
Today about Darwinia.
So, um, if there's a call to action, which I would love to share, it's that, um, I mean, we should just be good people.
I mean, we should be good people.
And, um, yeah, uh, comes every one.
I mean, every single person, there is this place for everyone.
So, um, just last, some days back over the weekend, we launched, um, a liquidity pool, which is all powered by our community.
So it's called, um, Snow Swap.
That's our flagship decks.
And, uh, we supply liquidity to end some rewards on the decks.
So, um, one more chance to, um, highlight from this point that Darwinia is not to me, that's her community, you understand.
So we are more of a community run technology.
And so we pride our strengths in our community members.
I mean, we have the most amazing sets of community members you can ever find in any ecosystem.
We have very amazing community support.
We have, um, very, like, we have people who are really interested in technology.
And, um, we are in search of people like that.
I mean, we welcome everyone and we encourage everyone to be like that in Darwinian ecosystem.
I mean, because we are sure that the power of the community is stronger than even that of any blockchain or crypto team or any web3 team we can think about.
So, um, that's, um, that's how it looks like at the moment.
So, the cause of action is this.
Um, give a follow to Darwinia Network.
Um, give a follow to official DCDAO and, um, stay in touch with what we are building and, um, try to be curious if you're a developer.
I mean, just reach out to any of us.
You can find out.
You can reach out to me.
You can reach out to, uh, anyone.
I mean, okay.
Very simply.
Join the Darwinia Discord.
And, um, you can get this way from there.
So, yeah, that's it.
That's super cool.
Thank you very much, PG, for joining us today.
It was a great AMA.
And for sure, looking forward to have a second one.
And, and yes, thank you all for joining us today.
It was a great AMA.
And for sure, looking forward to have a second one.
And, and yes, thank you all for joining us today.
And, um, thank you all for joining us today.
Thank you all for, for supporting and being part of this AMA with Darwinia.
Have an amazing day and start to the week.
You too, Anna.
Have a great day.
Thank you very much.
All right.
Peace out.
Thank you very much.
All right.
Peace out.
It's just.
All right.
Peace out.
