Thank you. We are just going to get things started here.
We've got an opening track for you, and then we're going to get going with our community
I'm going to share the space out. welcome blangs welcome little void good to see you guys this morning or this afternoon
or this evening wherever you are in the world and we are excited for a community call today looking forward
to hearing from the community please share the space so everybody knows we're here
let's go ahead and fire up this opening track kryptonio we are doing the uh intro song here by violet trip right there's the there's a time perfect let's jam out It's time to talk to go. so and
and Oh Oh Thank you. so so so what an awesome find.
Thank you for finding that for us this morning, Kryptonio.
Kryptonio kind of covered for me as I tried to get ready for the show.
I'm not feeling great today, but we're going to push through
and we're going to have a vibe in time anyway,
because today mostly I want to hear from you guys,
what you've been building, what you've been up to.
Tell Tezos Commons what is good in the Tezos art community.
We are very excited to hear from you.
You are more than welcome to come up.
And again, that song was There is a Time by Violet Tripp.
How are you doing this morning, Kryptonio?
Although it's not a morning anymore for me.
That's actually the night, but yeah, it's been a great day.
Yeah, for me, it feels like morning because I had to sleep all morning to get over a migraine.
I was just scrolling through the Katavis, you know, an object.
All right, we got Lil Void requesting coming up.
First of all, mic check one, two.
We can hear you just fine.
Man, I mean, first of all, you know, hey, seventh letter of the alphabet followed by
13, you know, G and for folk.
You know, you guys already know GM is not engagement farming.
GM, GM, no, this is classical GM.
It's always good to hear from you, Lil' Vo.
Before I go into what I'm about and what I'm up to,
you know, hey, Kryptonio, man, I was just telling myself,
hey, I need me. You know, I mean, beforeio, man, I was just telling myself, hey, I need meal. You know, I mean, before you, before the space started, I was like, hey,
I need meal, you know, a little song just to freshen up my little playlist
And then I just, hey, let me just tune in.
And I was just cleaning up the house.
That's what I'm, you know, what I'm up to, cleaning up.
And then I just pause, whoa, this is it.
And if I had the tezos, you know, if I had the tezos, man, damn.
And yeah, I don't know, for me, synthwave is, I don't know, one of my favorites,
So I always try to find something in the synthwave category.
But yeah, they're always trippy and have a great vibe, you know.
And usually that's where I go to when I want to kind of get off the usual songs that I hear, you know, so yeah Oh man, then you're my DJ you're my DJ for tonight
Hey DJ Kryptonio in the house
Hey, we could easily, if we wanted to
we could easily make it like a radio show
yeah, like an hour of just playing music
Alright, yeah, I mean, hey
I used to do that too, you know, I mean
beta spaces you know it's called in darkness fm which is the opposite of enlightenment
so actually if you guys probably can tell by how good the music sounds from kryptonio's um playback
but kryptonio is one of the few people I know that's really dove headfirst into figuring out how to make music on Spaces sound good.
And I think that would be really cool to see some sort of further accelerations with the setup you've got.
Yeah, I mean, it was kind of weird, you know, that you cannot easily stream music from your computer to Spaces.
But, like, if you asked me to do it again now, I probably don't know how to do it.
But it worked out through some digital cables, virtual cables that I used, and OBS, and a bunch of different settings.
So while it works, I just don't touch it, you know, but yeah,
you don't mess it up how you did it.
I mean, I've been doing producing music for myself for over a decade and I still
It's like, uh, that's why I try to save like multiple times throughout each session.
Anyway, welcome everybody to another Artsy Friday community call.
Thank you so much for being here.
Wizardo, good to see you here.
Cleophis, Blangs, RTF, SynthSkull, Retro, good to see you, Bud.
Skull's Army, Build Knight, Altina, who just hopped up on the stage.
Yeah. Bill Knight, Altina, who just hopped up on the stage. How are you today?
Just noticed that you're a speaker.
Dream, dream to everyone.
Thank you for having me here, and thank you for your space.
Absolutely. How are you doing? What have you been working on?
Actually, I have you know, I should prepare myself for a
conference in the class so i'm working on it and it's about hilma of kilint
can you elaborate on what it's about i i don't know if i know
i'm not sure i even understood what you said there at the end actually
I'm not sure I even understood what you said there at the end, actually.
Yeah, actually, I should talk about Hilmov Kilint in just five minutes.
And I think it's a hard work because the time is limited.
And, you know, Hilmov Kilint is an abstract artist.
Even before Dan Kandinsky, Modigliani and these guys but not so much
people know about her but she's amazing. Thank you for sharing do you have any
examples of her work that you could share with us?
examples of her work that you could share with us
Yeah, for sure I upload I'll upload it in the comment
Thank you, and please share some of your work as well. I
See that you do have an object portfolio
welcome random welcome to terabitcoins and limon appreciate you guys as well also tesla's artist
network always great to have you here anybody is welcome to come up and speak today is the
community call we want to hear from you andino, you're welcome to continue speaking and sharing. Just chime in when you want.
Now, I want to have the honor of repaying Kryptonio with this trap that I'm going to put on repeat.
And I'm going to ask Violet Tripp to, hey, if you don't mind I wanna you know do the little bit of you know
controversial right click and save folks but you know hey
I wanna go ask him and tell him hey look shout out Tripptonia he pointed out to you
and if you don't mind I wanna right click and save you know but
here's the thing I'm gonna put it in the comments man the song that I have been
putting on repeat since i was
in a different country under a different uh pen name and uh i was younger had better hair
you know type stuff and the song used to play in my head and i can i mean hey, I'm no, you know, I'm no Yoshi Labs, right?
I don't got a guitar with a beautiful name, you know, but I can do the harmonica on it.
The song is by, rest in peace, Seba Jun, or, you know, his artist name, Mujabes.
The song is called Shiki no Ta, but the instrumental version that plays for an hour.
Man, that song is down tempo.
You know, hey, Yoshi, you know what I'm talking about, the down tempo stuff?
You know, put it in the background.
Ooh, but it got this jazzy, you know, little acid.
Let me just, you know what? Enough said. You know, one song is worth a little acid. A little bit of school. Let me just, you know what?
I've said, you know, one song is worth a thousand words.
Because I don't see it in the comments.
I mean, I have to be a shit for me.
No worries. Take care of that. Yeah, we'll play that for you and yes down tempo uh melodic dubstep i went through a huge
phase with um one of my favorite types of electronic music still to this day is just melodic dubstep while I'm working.
I'm waiting for game show season round one finally start.
I'm glued to our group chat.
I got to do all the things.
It's a bit overwhelming. I'm not to our group chat. I got to do all the things. It's a bit overwhelming.
I need all the whelm I can get.
We'll talk some more about that for sure
after we get this song played.
I'm eager to hear this song.
Yeah, I'll ping you when we're ready because i still haven't seen it i suppose he's uh we're trying to post it come on little void send it anyway again guys it's up it is okay
By the way, Yoshi, I think that this Kirby launch, did you guys try it?
Yeah, I don't, I don't, I actually need to look.
Yesterday I got an invite only kind of launch, but if it went public like today, I need to
Actually, you know what yeah
the Tesla account actually said it in the recap
well I will get out an invite to anybody that wants one
do they distribute GMs over there?
You can distribute as many GMs as you want over there, I think.
Yeah, I posted my first scurp on there yesterday.
And it's just basically like a post or a tweet.
And then there's the other option, which is to actually mint NFTs in several different ways.
And there is an article about it on Spotlight.
Definitely worth checking out, I think.
I'm always reminded of my early experiences with Hiketnook,
I posted last night a YouTube video
of my first tutorial minting object number 25.
Super, super early glimpse into what the very beginnings
of Hecatnook looked like.
And it'll give you an idea of how you necessarily
shouldn't judge a book by its cover
and its early stages of being a platform.
Because at the end of the day,
if I would have judged Hecatnook off of what it first looked like,
I would have never ended up having the life-changing experience
I had in the soon-to-be giant run
and a revolution that happened around Hik'atnook.
So, you know, it could be nothing.
I'm excited to use it more.
Feels a little early to draw comparisons to Hik' didn't say damn you just brought it up in conversation i'm just being devil's advocate compare it directly you just brought it up in
conversation though just kind of threw it out there not not judge no no just is it is it like we need that
I definitely did not compare it directly to him
you know I'm on a bender lately
it's got me all torn into pieces
I'm not the person I was pre-game
I don't know if for the better or not.
Thank you, Yoshi, for inviting
nice to be with you guys.
Actually, I'm excited about launching Katami today. I think it will bring some fun to Tezos again, like in old days.
Yeah, even just sharing the drop in thetef green room created a lot of fun and
excitement just in that moment everybody seems to really like it on first impression we've got a
couple people that are on the uh more development side that are super nerding out about the
erc 404 implications you got it you got a very cool thing that you dropped on us this morning yeah i hope so just talk with the guy from skills army
he asked for technical details we had a little chat and twitter thread so i like it all goes as expected anyway i am already happy we released it and
tesus now has something new and i i think it will be fun anyway the art is top notch i
is top notch i'm very proud of how
sorry? who was the artist? who did the art?
Angelina she is known for her
maybe you know the foxes the djn foxes is uh yeah the art she she did before
and also the owls yeah i got the owls yeah og collection yeah yeah The owls. Actually, one of my favorites.
I still rock the PFP on Telegram from this collection from the owls.
I really, really just have always, the very beginning thought that those were
pretty special, really unique.
I have some foxes too, like maybe 10 of them still holding them for the art.
I'm still staking them for the coins.
I think I'm claimed inaking them for the coins, I think. I haven't claimed in a while, though.
Yeah, and I need also to go and check what's the latest there because I know they moved to Etherlink as well,
but they said that you don't have to unstake or anything,
but they would do most of the stuff automatically.
Yeah, they put a coin flip on Etherlink.
Yeah, coin flip on Etherlink. It's pretty cool. Yeah, coin flip on Etherlink works smoothly like a real thing.
I did notice it just flows much smoother.
So, Wizzardo, for people in the room that may not know,
can you tell us a little bit about your backstory on Tezos?
I mean, I told the people in the green room that you're, quote unquote, one of the OG-est devs around.
Like, you've been here doing some awesome things since I've been here and I've always enjoyed it.
Yes, yes. I'm like from the early days of Tezos, I think.
One of my first projects was Tezos Mandala.
It's one of them is on my PFP right now.
It's generative art project it was the first one to introduce fully on chain NFTs so these
mandalas are actually SVGs which are stored on chain and also they are zipped, compressed and stored on Tethys blockchain.
So it's quite innovative and fun.
Also, I think quite a unique concept.
You maybe know some other stuff i did before
no like nft button there was a marketplace concept which yeah it was quite literally
the first marketplace outside of tz colors wasn't it yes yes one of the first but
because all development is on me and no one to help so it died but still it was fun and maybe it was great memories
by the way, Wizzardo, I still have a seed
oh yeah, I still have a seed
you don't want to open it?
nice then I will list it for open it no no it will be the last suit
nice then i will list it for like i don't know a million tests
i had like 30 seeds till not very recently and just opened them all of of them. Yeah. For those that are not aware, just to quickly clarify that you actually
minted a seed first and then you went and used that seed to generate the mandala, the Tezos mandala, right?
And like every 10 or every 50 seeds, I don't remember, the price was going up.
cheaper and then they got higher and higher in price back then and this is when tezos as a whole
was very highly valued these were not cheap mandalas yeah and it was and it was much, much earlier than the first PFP and generative projects on Tezos.
It was like at least, I don't know, four months earlier or six before TezArt,
something like that, I think.
It was 2021, if I remember well, like in March or something like this.
And there are some mandalas still not minted, like 20 of them or no not 20 200 of them and the price is right now if i remember
well like 55 tezos per piece wow and there was also um some rarity right right? Because some had more eyes
or Tezos icons, I don't remember.
But like there were some that were super rare.
I don't remember exactly how the rarity was.
The rarest ones are with Tezos symbol.
If I remember well, only 12 of them exist and tezos is like six or so
yeah so i still have three mandalas that i definitely cherish one of them that i renamed
one of them that I renamed yeah this is so unique concept you can rename mandala
and with every renaming the there is like a cool down period so you first can
rename your mandala when you hold it for a month, after the first renaming this becomes two months
and every time you rename it this cooldown period is like gets two times bigger.
I like how we've been talking for the Tezos mandala for like 10 minutes and we still haven't given out a site or anything for people to check.
Like, yeah, you can't, you can't know what we are talking about.
But I was actually going to say, Wuzardo, there's so much going on and you, such a great deep history with you on the chain.
But I do want to acknowledge some other people that are up here and we can come back to talking a little bit more yes yes sure thank you for having me absolutely i don't know
who's next um hp hp how are you today yeah i'm doing good actually we don't need to change the
conversation i just want to say that i was the first to like and retweet the pinned tweet
and i just noticed it was sitting up there and not getting a lot of attention so i wanted you
know since the katami is debuting today it says if you like and retweet that you could win katami
number one so i'm just trying to ingratiate myself with wizardo right now so that he will remember
that i was the first one to like and we we when he randomly
selects the winner well played well played yeah anyway everybody if you want to like and retweet
the thing and spread the word the katami thing looks interesting i mean for one test why not
right get into it and see what's up with it.
But, you know, I do have a question about how the tokens work.
Like, is one Katami worth 1,000 tokens?
And do they always travel together?
Is this too nerdy to start talking about?
All of us that have already minted are definitely curious
okay then i will gladly uh explain so uh each katami is worth of like uh 10 000 of katami tokens and they are connected so when you send one of your NFTs you also automatically send
10,000 tokens with it but you also can send just tokens in any amount I mean any amount you have in your wallet so when you for example have one Katami
like one NFT you also have 10 000 tokens you can could send like one token to your friend
When you did this, your Katami NFT disappears because it must have exactly 10,000 tokens
per NFT. take some from somewhere from anywhere uh additional tokens and you now have
10 000 again then your katami appears again but uh
most time this won't be the the token lost before. This is almost random one.
That's so gamified. The first thing I think about is like, you know, moving tokens around
so you can potentially roll a quote unquote rarer.
Yeah, yeah. So basically this is like this. There is some kind, they get into this limbo.
the even number of 10 000 tokens gets his katami from this limbo thing so how this is works like
wait wait wait wait so so i i mean i mean takatami i get the nft right the The random NFT. I also get 10,000 tokens of Katami. Let's say I sent 5,000
Katami tokens to Yoshi. My NFT goes to Limbo and then in order to get it back, but not
but not sure you will get exactly this NFT from Limbo.
It may be the last one which get there,
maybe from someone else who just...
So let's say that there are like 10 different Katamis that go into Limbo
because people send the tokens away, some of the tokens away.
So if I get back those 5,000 Katami tokens back to my wallet and I have a complete and even 10,000 Katami tokens again, I will get one Katami from the Limbo,
but not necessarily the one that I sent there, right?
You will get, I think,'s one entered the limbo yeah yeah this
is kind of fun mechanic and i'm very proud of it you should be this is some like inception level
stuff that you're doing on pesos right now can i ask you a question then let me try to clarify
all right let's say i have 10 i have 10 kat Katami and I have, I don't know, 100,000 tokens or whatever.
And I sell everything but 5,000.
So all 10 of my Katami disappear.
Then I get the token, the same number of tokens, 10 different ones come back?
And how does it remember how much I had the first time?
You don't have to remember.
You just look at my wallet.
The blockchain remembers?
So in other words, depending on the quote-unquote value of the token Katami,
you could just go if it has a pool,
and if it's less than one tez to buy 10 000 katami
you could mint an nft in that form too yes yes absolutely the thing is that uh every 10 000
tokens that you get on your wallet you will be getting a katami out of the limbo. So it doesn't have to remember.
It doesn't, but I'm just pointing out
the total degeneracy that there's
a form of arbitrage in there.
if you sell the token and still
Well, if you sell the token,
you won't have the NFT. That's the thing.
It will go away when you sell the token. It't have the nft that's the thing it will go away when you sell
the token it will go into limbo until somebody else until somebody else gets 10 000 tokens
real quick okay wait i just i want to 12.2 000 of the nfts right but this gamification
is still working even if the collection doesn't sell out right because yes there's no only but
there are those which are not meant that they will not show up so okay there is no way only
the kids that have been minted can be in limbo yes yes it's a good question, HP. Very interesting. Wow. Yeah, definitely. Some people are going to have fun with this.
Yeah, it's definitely possibilities.
Yeah, like Wazzaro said, it spices things up a little bit. It gives us something kind of different to play with and speculate over.
It's pretty awesome. Anyway, I do also want to say hello to Retro Manny, who's been patiently waiting as a speaker.
It's a little bit noisy in my room because I've got a 3D printer running, but yeah, I'm doing well.
Yeah, we can hear you fine. Curious about the 3D printing for sure.
Yeah, we can hear you fine.
Curious about the 3D printing for sure.
Yeah, it's just been 3D printing nonstop in here, because Scooney collected the one-of-one Retro Man helmet on the object.
With that, he gets a physical, a one-of-one physical copy of the print, actual product of the RetroMan helmet.
So that's basically in production right now.
And it takes ages to print.
It takes an unbelievable amount of time to print and loads of test prints and everything.
So the printer has just been going nonstop.
And it's also cool that Skuni's down there and gets to literally hear what his new creation that he's earned is sounding like as it's being made. That's pretty neat.
He's in my group chat as well, the Brett Drummond group chat, so he's being kept fully updated with everything.
Very cool. And congrats on that. That's a really cool auction and really cool to see
Yeah, thank you. It's a big part of what I'm trying to do is push things into physical.
So that's the investment in the 3D printer. Hopefully it takes that form and helps out
Are you going to combine your on-chain endeavors with physical redemptions?
So, well, firstly, the helmet itself, I'm trying to put some kind of method. I'm looking at an NFC chip at the moment
where Skuni will hopefully be able to scan
and it will be linked to somehow linked to the blockchain
to show it belongs to that piece.
But I give out retro coins for collecting my pieces.
So I've got a coin on Tezos.
I own all the coins that they're in my wallet.
It's completely centralized.
And when people collect a certain amount of things
especially people in the Telegram group,
I give out those retro coins.
And then when they get to 10,000 coins,
they're eventually going to be able to exchange those
for toys and other things that I'm creating.
And you got me wanting to go like catch up on my retro man,
Hope you guys are all doing well as well.
know just trying to keep everything going and make sure to stay up to speed on what's happening and
share it with you all the best we can i saw your um reminder uh tes ton was reminding the group
the other day and i just thought what's coming something happening yeah i just i i saw the group i saw it was a little quiet
and i was like you know if there was a poke button on this site i would use it so much
so i needed to poke the group chat i'm glad i'm glad everybody you know chimed in it was fun
anything else you want to share about what you're working on before we say hello to Amir here?
Yeah, I mean, just I'm still working, still creating pieces, adding to the story of Retro Man.
I've got a piece that recently dropped with Limbo, which I'm really proud of.
And Limbo is like a master illustrator and real big on the Tezos scene.
So I was very blessed to have a collaboration with him.
So yeah, that's kind of my latest drop.
And other than that, yeah, I'm just keeping on.
Well, definitely appreciate it.
It's always good to see you active
and pushing the boundaries and it's very inspiring.
You know, I know that it is for a
lot of people out there so just keep it up you know thanks for coming up appreciate it
oh yeah doing good finally i got back here in a Tesla's common space. How are you doing?
Pretty good. I personally am moving a little slow today, but we're hanging in there.
And overall, it's been a pretty exciting week with the Trailblazers program and the Apple Farms.
And, you know, it's been a lot going on around here.
Let's go. I actually have a question i joined to ask this question may i sure yeah nice uh you retro gmgm and actually everybody
in the room gmgm really happy to see so many familiar space oh my god faces sorry um a retro and you you've been you guys been discussing
uh physicals and you know I I think that uh at one of the side events at nft Paris I asked hey
Tara GM GM at some of um some of the side events uh at nft paris i asked a question i guess to kick up but
i'm not sure um i asked probably you guys are know uh are aware about foster protocol
or it's the marketplace on solana and those guys are doing really great job um you can buy an NFT on their website and it will automatically connect
you uh it will automatically give you uh the access to some physical good like for example
physical print or maybe t-shirt or some sort of merch merch and I asked uh will this feature be available for example on object or maybe on Taya or whatever on Tezos and
I just wanted to ask your opinion about that because I believe that actually I have a few
ideas about physicals I believe that maybe Terra has a few as well and i also believe that many people would would be super interested in in
in a technology in a platform like that where you can sell your uh tezos nft tezos artwork and for
example uh marketplace will be able to deliver um a physical good i know it's not easy for a marketplace but still we have a lot of
platforms for print on demand on you know or you know stuff like that so I'm
just curious about your opinions guys please let me know what you think because
I believe it's something that is heavily missing on Tezos but yeah let me know
what you think well first of, very good question and absolutely something that we should keep on our checklist, if you will.
And I do want to say that I believe FXHash has an integration for that.
I think I actually have a token that I just still haven't redeemed to get a plot of a piece that I minted over there.
So that is, there are glimpses of it that are already functional and out there on,
available on Tezos. So I don't see why not, you know, as far as like, I know that
Object and Tia both have like places where you can actually put in requests and have them voted on.
And if it gets enough attention, it'll be taken much more seriously.
So I would say that maybe explore that and put that suggestion in because, yeah, I'm sure a lot of us would love to see that even more integrated.
integrated uh until then uh it's one of those things where artists have the complete freedom
to explore like personal routes like i have uh as far as one of my albums that's an interactive
nft on object if you buy it i 100 am open to sending the physical cds that i have one of for
each edition that's on object uh the catch is, and from personal experience, I can tell you there are roadblocks and obstacles
when it comes to this global marketplace and exchanging physical goods.
Quite literally, Parra wanted to, I think it was Parra that wanted the physical.
We realized there was no, quite literally no way for me to send it to her uh from from the u.s to greece uh you know like there's there are obstacles
that that come up within what we're talking about is all i'm saying
yeah um yeah yeah sorry i actually think that Void was before me. Sorry.
Yeah, sorry Void, if you had your hand up, go ahead.
Oh, yeah, yeah. My screen a bit stuck. So I kind of like, you know, earlier, I heard HP. don't know if he's still up here. Look, man, he was talking about first this, first that,
what, you know, Mr. HP Lovebox, you know.
I don't know if he's here or not, right?
But I think the greatest shout out is when you shout out someone
who's not like, you know, there.
You just shout them out, you know, in a void.
So let me tell you guys something about a first.
You know, just a little song.
Man, big shout out, Mr. HP Lovebox.
I mean, I remember, man, this guy, let me tell you, he is the first person.
I mean, I've been in Tezos quite a while.
I could check my first mint.
When you're on Hen you know you you get your
little you know little uh chip you know so here's the thing the i mean i've been around how many
years rotting you know i mean as i am in a void but hp lovebox man he was the first to come up to
me oh hey little boy i need your calligraphy on this piece
and man we've been cooking on one color just one cooking up one something me and him and man i
don't forget that time when he asked me personally on the phone you know he came hey little boy um
you know hey look check this out and uh i think i might need a little you know your calligraphy what do you think man and
that is something every time i see it man i remember you know i remember that time you know
the first person to just you know i mean i've been around and i ask people hey would you can i you
know calligraphy this calligraphy that but hp lovebox the first person ever you know and i am
you know as humble as i can be you know and you guys know
hp man you know you guys know they are i mean for someone like him to you know to come and ask humble
little low little void man i was like hp see you know hey big shout out hp man i don't know if he's
here damn i do see him down there and beautiful shout out.
HP is definitely a gem within the ecosystem.
And frankly, one of, and I hesitate to say this,
but definitely an extremely memorable interview for me
since I've started doing this show with those comments.
Like I think of some of the things that HP said fairly often,
regularly within my own creative process even
oh yeah definitely man i mean you know there is i mean you know the way he he is a fluid
he's a fluid person i mean okay you're not talking about like our color let me just you know
talk about him quick let me tell you guys something if uh when
it comes to like for example the muscle cars that he does let me tell you guys this when he is like
i'd say me somehow in you know because i write the word farah which is you know void in arabic
like you can see in my pfp in the background like a halo you know that
word is just far out which is void you know and and that is not digital that is hand you know and
to a point you know it becomes it it looks like a print you know that means how many times i kind of
like wrote void over a thousand times but hp love, he does this muscle car stuff so fluid.
Man, he can put it in a void.
He can go put it next to dinosaurs.
He can let it go into the past and future.
but he doesn't do it like calligraphy.
He does it with a muscle car.
Folks, if you go check out
anything that has the HP car, man, just, I mean, I don't know.
Look, have them side to side.
Just have all these cars and flash through them quickly.
Man, you guys will know who HP Lovebox is.
And I can only afford just a couple of, you know.
I mean, hey but but if i can
man i can go broke for hp love box you know i really admire little void because you know
as an artist he's very humble but as a collector and a fan of art he is all the right kinds of outspoken like
the that see like the energy that little void was just publicly like pouring love out to somebody
that is an artist that works hard in this space like we all should do what he just did more often and post form and video form and spaces for him just give people
more love it's free and it's gotta feel damn good you know amen i mean you said you know give a lot
of love that's it's in his name too damn you guys know real quick i just want to reset the room thank
you guys so much for being here i didn't realize how many people have tuned in. We've been having such a great chat, but thank you for being here for
another Tezos Commons Artsy Friday community call. Every single one of you, I really appreciate you
tuning in today. Share the room. We're going to be here for probably another 20 minutes or so today,
and then we do this every last Friday of the month. This is the community call.
this every last Friday of the month.
This is the community call.
And I do want to get, go ahead, Kryptonio.
Yeah, I was just going to say that since we are giving out shout outs,
I have also pinned up here in the space a tweet from OMG.
I wrote it, you know, the creator of Thesarts.
And apparently it's his birthday today.
So why don't you all go and wish him happy birthday?
You know, we mentioned TezArts earlier so I thought it was fitting shout out as well
and I totally agree with everything Lil Void said about HP Lovebacks. I also totally enjoyed the
interview we did with him, although i was mostly listening but yeah that was
seriously seriously uh well put together and so much knowledge sharing from his side so yeah
and absolutely happy birthday omg i drawed it like another absolute gem and like one of those
artwork forms that you see it and you know it's it's um you know it's
absolutely nostalgic every time uh never never gets old enjoying uh the work of our cherished
amir is there anything else you wanted to chat about something you've been working on
um yeah i had a question but i think it's outdated because we'll switch the topic
uh we can go back oh hey i apologize i apologize mr amir man damn i'm sorry a big gm
we just went to the void and back no big deal go ahead and ask
so um yeah uh oh my god what was that yeah oh my god no i think i i think i forgot it again but yeah uh i i like what what was happening at nft paris again uh maybe you're maybe you saw maybe you
didn't uh you didn't see but we made an open call before uh nft paris for our side event there and
we we selected 30 artworks from objects and we made cool t-shirts and you know on
works from objects and we made cool t-shirts and you know on um they were we gifted those t-shirts
with artworks on tezos to our guests of our site events and you know people started asking where
can i buy where can i buy where can i buy and i was like damn like nowhere and you don't have any
place for that and then you know i started thinking that like if we would have um
some some platform on tezos uh where we can uh produce something and maybe even ship it at least
you know to places where we can really uh physically do so man that would be amazing
because i i think and i feel that you know like a couple of years
ago everybody was in a year ago and I think now people were talking that uh nft art linked to
some physical goods is sexy let's say people really uh love it and I collected a few physical pieces um I believe that some of them were linked to nfts
one from Paldi maybe you know the guy uh from uh Southern Eastern Asia I get from Thailand Thailand
also also from Luko from Colombia uh and something else and you know when I'm getting those physicals
something else and you know when i'm getting those physicals from nft artists is something
different and it's it's something that um you know if you have any uh physical goods you feel me
that's what i will say uh it's it's it's an absolutely different um vibe and uh
level of excitement about art so yeah I just wanted to complain guys I
just wanted to moan you know and it's kind of you know retros on that same
kind of playing field where he's about to be sending out some physicals so yeah
what's up retro what you got to say here
you got to say here sorry um so in terms of physicals i don't really have much of a response
um i i definitely feel where you're coming from amir but i think at the moment i'm kind of too
not to criticize myself but too small to have a big enough setup to be ready to deal with like a
a shop front if that makes sense so for me it's actually quite comfortable to have a small
telegram group um have have my collectors that i really value and treasure and talk to them one
to one and say okay i'm making this now and this is available and and do it that way but i think
as things grow um and i get more comfortable with do it that way but i think as things grow
um and i get more comfortable with doing it then yes certainly it would be like okay i just need a
smooth fast easy way to transact but um i think at the moment i'm i like the bespoke kind of way
um but that that's just because of the stage i'm at nothing to do with obviously the ability to do it because i think it's important and i think this at least for me this is kind of the future for keeping the value
in the art um um more than just um i guess what someone says you know what it used to be where
it was just trading nfts which it isn't anymore now it's there's a value in holding something in your wallet for sure uh but i think there's also going to be an increased value
in that being attached to something physical whether it's a physical print or something like
that i i think that could be really positive i don't know the answers but yeah that's just
kind of where i'm coming from with that um But actually, I wanted to say something else, but I'll let this conversation go before I mention it.
Just quickly, see if I understand correctly. Amir, are you talking about something like,
let's say, as an example, let's say if Object, for example, had like a drop shipping service
object, for example, had like a drop shipping service with t-shirts or something where somebody
could go and select a piece of art and get it into a t-shirt and get it sent to him,
I actually, my bad, I just know, and also like I asked a couple of people about how
And, you know, I still don couple of people about how Foster Protocol works.
And, you know, I still don't believe that it works like that.
It's like I never ordered anything from there, but we had a chat with Kaden and Nico.
And he said that they dropped their NFTs. They linked, let's say as a perk, they linked a physical t-shirt that will be delivered with
this nft artwork printed and he said that he asked uh their collectors and they said that
the quality is amazing the delivery time was was good so you know everything was good and actually
uh i had a conversation with with a guy from Foster as well before nft Paris because I've
been thinking where to order those t-shirts for our event and uh you know the the timings and
the prices he he named to me he said he provided were amazing you know so i i started thinking and i asked how is that possible
and he said we have a couple of studios and it works something you know i'm not sure how exactly
that works but yeah uh kryptonio exactly something like uh like a drop shipping stuff yeah this is
it basically basically i can confirm the quality is top-notch.
I've got a bunch of Foster merch.
I mean, I'm in the States, but I think their whole thing is, like they said,
they've got several distributors globally so that they can be a little more localized
Well, it's good to know there's some good examples out there.
Somebody did want to build this on Tezos.
we can move on to another topic
if that's okay with everybody.
Yeah, it's an interesting conversation anyway,
but yeah, I wanted to mention just two things.
So I think most of you know that I've been quite a big advocate of fully unchained artwork on Tezos.
And that's thanks to JustMZero, who created the contract.
but there's been a lot of developments for those who don't know.
But there's been a lot of developments for those who don't know.
Initially, it was a very, very difficult process to do everything behind scenes in a sense
and having to upload to Better Call Dev and do all the kind of conversion and everything yourself,
which is why I initially made that tutorial video.
But there's been a lot of development. So if you didn't know, there's actually two places you can actually mint with a UI now,
fully on-chain using the Xero contract or using a form of the Xero contract,
which is, in my opinion, probably the purest form of minting on-chain on Tezos.
I know there's another method which uses a different way to do it, but with JustEM's contract,
it literally writes the code for the art directly on chain. There is a size limit of 20 kilobytes,
but the barrier of it being very difficult to do and needing a 40 minute long tutorial video if you're new to that kind of stuff is gone now so you can use
a either there's something called the zero terminal which was made by CQ or
you can actually use the zero app which is made by jams to jams to blues I think
his name is online so yeah there's those two options and if you want to know more i run a
or i'm part of um a dm chat group on twitter so if you want to dm me and i can i can get you in
there so you can learn more ask questions find out what you need to know etc so that's um that's the
one thing and the other thing i want to just let you know is
i myself and limbo um we've collaborated a lot but myself and limbo are curating a object one gallery
in april towards the kind of end of april which is going to be all about video games and it's
going to be freaking awesome like i can't express to you how amazing it's going to be all about video games and it's going to be freaking awesome. Like I can't express to you how amazing it's going to be with loads of artists that we've
lined up, some big names, some maybe not so familiar names for some people.
And it's just going to be like an amazing event.
So I just want to prime everyone on that one.
And I'm really, really excited about it.
That's awesome definitely looking forward to the uh curation and yeah i i kind of got myself in the foot this year uh and it's like
i keep going back and forth with the whole, you know, your art, your rules that everybody says, you know, and it's like, that is true.
I made a rule for myself this year that I wasn't going to do any solo minting unless it was for like an event.
And it was only going to be collaborations and commissions and events.
And I got to tell you what, I've been having to sit on my hands to follow my own silly rule I made.
Because there's things like that.
Yes, I want to experiment with the zero contract.
So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm really struggling with my rule.
Oh, well, there's people in there that would probably love to collab with you on it.
Although I will say I don't think there's a way.
I don't think anyone's discovered
a way to do music or sound yet
in such a small file size,
I know there's a couple of collaborations
that have already happened.
maybe there'll be an opportunity in there
and you might just stick to your rule.
That's a great suggestion.
Yeah, I should just push for more collaborations
is really what it comes down to.
That's the whole point of it.
It's a really active group as well.
You'd be surprised how passionate people are in there.
Papa Bearded is in there as well.
There's a few other people in the chat right now
that are in the group, in the space, sorry, that are in there.
So Malsheep is in there, HP is in there.
So, yeah, I think you'll find it really useful.
Definitely, I'm sure you'll find someone to collab with.
We'll definitely appreciate it.
It's great to get the extra info and the encouragement.
And who knows, Yoshi, if you sit on your hands long enough, maybe figure out ways to get the extra info and the encouragement and who knows yoshi if you
sit on your hands long enough maybe figure out ways to get more file size in so your hesitation
tactics might pay off it's so true it's definitely like then i think probably the number one hold up
for any artist when it comes to on jay minting is is the conceptualizing of keeping the files that small but i have heard
and appreciated people talking about um you know kind of the art of that of of really minimalizing
there is something to be said about that too oh it's so fun it's like it gives you another reason
to be intentional about what you're having to do.
I think it's so easy right now, especially with our AI boom, how easy it is to pump out pretty-looking pictures, essentially.
And this adds another layer of intentionality that you have to take
in order to put some of that creativity on chain.
There's also some really good tools
And like, if you look at,
I'm not sure if you've used them Papa,
but some of the images that you put on chain are insane.
Like I didn't think that was possible in that file size.
So I think if anyone's out there having a look
all the pieces that have been minted there,
you'll probably be inspired about what is possible, for sure.
I definitely am going to be very stubborn about it.
As far as trying to fit as much as I can.
artsy Friday community call.
We've got a bunch of great,
community legends up here speaking.
If anybody wants to chime in,
this is probably a last call for requesting to come up.
Anybody that is already up here as a speaker,
you are welcome to share anything else you would like.
And here in just a little bit we got a pretty awesome closing song for you as well but i do see some hands going up here
shoot i don't know whose hand went up first i think amir nope lil woods all right little
no no you know no way but you know what hey this time i'm i mean you you go first man
damn hey i apologize i mean hey you know uh yoshi like he said earlier in the space he's a bit slow
so you know hey we apologize you know he's uh probably a little bit of lag you know in the system
yes i i am i'm i'm struggling today guys I hope it's been a fun space regardless.
Yeah, you just asked me a while ago, and I want to use this chance to share what I'm working on.
Of course, it's art chains. First of all, we collect art. We try to collect art. We try to bring more sponsorships and more people from outside of our bubble, you know, to help us collect more and support more people, support more creative creators this is one of the biggest things uh i'm really you know down to
because i believe um collecting art should be a new social norm especially for brands like why not
um i will also well we're also you know as as as long as we cannot collect everything at least we're trying to highlight uh beautiful pieces via
daily posts uh which are curated by my wife um also we are creating um we're creating our
art reviews thanks to eduard one of my good friends uh and I believe that we will be dropping more art threads with a lot of pieces highlighted and reviewed by him and by our team, which will be super fun and exciting because it's always, you know, I really love reading art reviews. It's something that's, you know, like you'll always have like triple perspective when you're reading that.
First is art, like artist's visual perspective.
Second, it's your personal perception.
And third is the perspective of a reviewer.
So it's always, you know, to me, it's always like a triple sword, you know so it's always you know to me it's always like it it's like a triple sword you know
it's different um so yeah with the please do not do not hesitate to check out uh our chains uh
the handle is in my bio um and yeah more exciting opportunities are coming oh yeah i forgot to say that we're also organizing online and offline events
uh and the core goal is to you know help creators to highlight uh their art to make it
shining to a broader audiences and you know um i'm i'm down you know to to push the boundaries
for people uh and for ourselves for sure because
this is what we are trying to build this is very interesting to do so so yeah just you know just
appreciate this opportunity and we will keep on doing that no matter what and also about myself
i wanted to mention that uh i'm finally um almost ready to drop the next song.
You know, I never push my art at all.
And you remember that, Yoshi, 100%, when we had a chat with you in one of your spaces.
It became so hard to me, you know,
to promote my personal art.
So I don't do that almost.
But also you can check another link in my bio
And you can find my, like, small account
where I'm sharing only my stories and my pieces.
So the song that we will drop with two of my friends и мои птицы. Так что это песня, которую мы с двух моих друзей,
которые полностью не будут в Тезус Экосистем,
я создавал валюты для них,
и несколько людей нас будет пригодиться,
Так что мы с музыкой с детьми, more people will join us because of this collab uh so we will drop this song with the music video
uh it's half ai half made uh by myself in after effects um and it's not just just the visual plus
audio it's also a social project like social art project well where I'm trying to to reflect on on a problem of destruction
uh oh my god this distraction sorry uh because I believe it's like it's it's it's an it's it's
a sickness of uh the 21st century I'm struggling with a lot of distractions every single day, every single hour.
And, you know, I believe that we're all having a lot of...
The quality of our lives is becoming way lower because of, you know, so many choices that we have online.
So, you know, that will be kind of a project um this is
what it will be about so i'm pretty proud and happy to share to share it as soon as possible
and probably i will link a cool physical piece to that to that song and i hope that i will be able
to produce a vinyl one by one just just like I mentioned in the previous space.
And I will send it to a collector.
So, yeah, this is it from my end.
Thank you so much for giving me a chance to share.
Thank you for coming and sharing.
And I look forward to hearing the new drop, for sure.
I'm like five songs into working on a new album,
Hopefully by the end of the year.
It's sad, but I feel you. Yeah, I've always... It's one of the things um but it's sad but i feel you yeah there's i've always
it's one of the things about not minting right now is like slow it down let things breathe
you know especially when it comes to songwriting i've i have songs i originally wrote 12 years ago
that i rewrote three years ago like there's something to be said about just letting things
breathe so yeah yeah, that's
what I have to say about that eventually.
Wow, dude. I can feel it actually because I remember a few songs that I made when I
were when I was in a band. But you know, we never played them because my guys didn't enjoy them, because they were a little bit too rappy or something like that.
And, you know, I remember a couple of tunes that I still loved, so maybe I will do that one day.
99% that it will not happen, but I'm really happy, you and and and excited to hear that from you that someone is
coming back stepping back to uh for a few years oh man this is so beautiful really i appreciate
you for sharing that man that's very inspiring my pleasure thank you again for coming up we do have
a little void song that we want to add to our closing song,
so we'll play two closing songs today.
Namir, did you have something you wanted to say, or is that hand glitch?
Yeah, yeah. So here, cry emoji. Wait, hold on. Check this out. Yeah, yeah.
So here's the thing, man.
I want to, you know, Mr. Retro Man.
He earlier caught my ear.
He was talking about curating for something about games.
If I'm not mistaken, retro.
Mic check. games if I'm not mistaken retro mic check what was the question?
so Mr. Retro, here's the thing
is that event still open?
or is it already done know already done oh the zero
contract uh oh the curation is i think what you're saying the video game thing yeah no that was a
curate that's a curation for object one um that was um selected by me and limbo so no that wasn't
an open call sorry all right so well i was about to you know shift you know what i'm gonna have to you know paradigm
shift my uh you know gm to you all right because i remember one thing man one of the things that
we did you know back and forth and you know out here in this public you know tezos jungles
was about a game that i will give you the type of GM that I especially want to give you.
I want to give you a Shadmosis-sized GM.
You know what I'm talking about.
I know exactly what you're talking about.
You know, maybe next time we, you know, hey, look, let me tell you something, Retro.
You know, as calligrapher, it's going to be the first thing and my last thing that I'm going to do.
I'm going to die with a pen in my right hand and a cigarette on my left.
Right. But in between them, I've been doing a lot of stuff that I don't have to talk about, but especially you, Mr. Retro.
Man, I've been a fan of your work since you pop up.
To give you a proof of a taste of other than the calligraphy that I do.
If you go down way deep, deep down, not inside your heart.
I'm talking about my object.
The Genesis mint of mine is about a certain anime.
And I have been doing vaporwave art, you know, shout out, you know,
Blank Banshee, known him personally, you know, if you guys listen to your vaporwaves.
So, you know, that's just a little hint of uh
you know maybe we can squeeze in a little maybe we do something you know uh a colossus size you
know like the metal gears type you know work colossus gm collaboration heard that is what
i'm talking about man the gm i want to say hello to mal how are you today
i am fabulous how are you i'm doing great just uh you're probably the last person we're going
to have up and then we're going to chat with you and we're going to play some songs and i'm
probably going to go back to bed rest is valuable so this is good to hear
well what are you working on what are you up to
well i just published the mega thread urtea uh yesterday um so if folks haven't checked that
out yet please do because it has been plaguing my brain for months. Now it's finally out of my brain
and now I can work on new things.
So there's lots of information in there.
As much as I could cram into, I think, 23 posts in that thread,
I might add more to that soon.
I'm definitely going to be adding to the last one in the thread,
Each team member is going to have their own little
profile and i'm going to add also those who aren't in that 27 core team member crew who have also
contributed to teya over the years little profiles about everybody um so yeah i'm excited for that
um also for folks who don't know i've been working on a rave a teya rave um which was a suggestion
from a lovely community member uh so more information coming out about that soon uh but
there will be if all goes well there will be an On Cyber gallery with some gallery exhibitions in there,
a bunch of linked rooms, a space for learning about the different communities and tools in the
ecosystem, live music, and some poetry, and just a bunch of fun stuff. There will be an event in the week leading up to it as well.
So rave-themed, if you do create a rave-themed artwork for the event,
if it is a photosensitive piece, I do request that folks utilize the TEA feature to tag it as photosensitive,
folks utilize the TEA feature to tag it as Photosense, which will blur it unless you
modify your settings, your user settings when synced. But that will keep folks like me and
other folks who have conditions like migraine, epilepsy, or vertigo, keep them safe and be
able to look at those works when we're able to, if we're able to.
So sometimes I can look at things that are flashy, flashy.
Sometimes it makes me need to lay down for three days and I don't have time.
So that would be very much appreciated if folks would do that.
But yeah, more details coming soon.
There will be poster going around with all of the minting information and the event information and
the schedule will be very uh chaotic until it's all done uh so this is planned for mid-april
uh and then the war that will be the minting event so details coming soon um and then aside
from that my regular spaces sun at sund Sunday, 9 p.m. Eastern Time
for poetry and short stories.
Mellow Monday, mental health and mindfulness
and a welcoming space to the kind community.
So chronically ill, immunocompromised,
neurodivergent and disabled.
That's at 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Mondays.
Come ask questions about anything really.
Could be about quantum physics. I don't is good I like questions and then on Tuesdays
is Tezos Tea Tuesday which is at 12 p.m. noon Eastern Time where I serve as a
newsreader for Tezos for about an hour and then we have chats about what's
going on in the ecosystem and would love to see everybody in late april early may i will also be adding some more spaces to that list so keep an eye
out for an announcement on that um as well as potential game streaming uh excursions
uh yeah more details on that coming soon
but yeah that's a general ramble
of what I've got going on
and I personally enjoy your spaces
every time I tune into them
definitely make sure that you guys
and whether it be for poetry
or for a mellow mood or just some community hangs.
Yes and one more thing to flag too. It's L.M. Design's birthday today so please give L.M. Design's
eight some love because she does so much not only in Te, but also in spatial and like meta versus AR, VR.
So please celebrate her with me today.
Happy birthday, LM Designs.
Big day for Tezos Art birthdays.
Papa, do you have your hand up or is that a glitch oh i do i mean first of all i keep trying to
convince malicious to to stop saying rambling because um the reporting that mal does is epic
if you especially if you haven't been in one of the Tuesday spaces.
The way that this person covers all that's going on in the space is not to be missed.
Also, I'm really bad about taking the opportunity to share my stuff, quite frankly. And this week on my AI account, I topped 300 consecutive days of my life list project.
So over 300 days in a row, I've created a piece,
usually based on my own photography,
one for each species of bird I've ever seen.
So just had to throw that in there before you went to music.
Definitely appreciate you doing that.
I'd like to see you remember to share more of your stuff more often for sure guys thank you so much this has been an absolutely lovely community call
with tezos commons again we do this the last friday of every month every other friday we
have a guest come up and give them the spotlight to talk about what
they have experienced in Tezos, their art, their process, pretty much anything they want.
Genuinely appreciate you guys so much for being here. We have some cool songs to play for you.
This first one is called New Jabes by Shiki no Uta. Hope I said that right.
I hope I said that right.
Yeah, kind of right you could say so.
I mean, you know, clearly you don't watch anime, but it's cool.
No, I don't. Thank you. E aí Thank you. Música so Thank you. really nice song great suggestion appreciate you little void and for our final song before we close
out the space we have this lovely piece called home of winter flowers by robert matheson is
available on object both songs will be pinned in the uh comments of the space one uh that little
void posted and then we will post this one there below
as well. Hope you guys enjoy
and thank you so much for coming to another RC Friday. The
ocean honks a lullaby beneath the misty skies. Its waves are rolling gently where the sea bird softly cries
The wind it sings of journeys
Through the mist and through the hours and the tide brings dreams of wonder
The cliffs stand tall and weathered, where the gales have carved their scars.
Yet the heather bloom is defiant,
Neath the canopy of stars.
The storm may bend the branches,
But it cannot break the power
Of two lives that grow together
Near this home of winter flowers
The wind, it tells its secrets to the cliffs that stand so tall
Of the ships that sail before us and the ones who've yet to call
The ocean holds its mysteries in its deep and endless bloom
As the flowers bloom in winter, devoted strong and true
Let the skies be great and wide
The Lord knows no surrender
But the ocean ends in the sky
Through the stars and through the silence
Through the sun and seaside tower
We will find our way together
Near this home of winter flower . Yet another great find.
Thank you for finding the music for us this morning, Kryptonio.
Thank you for always being such a fantastic co-host.
Thank you, Tazos Commons, for making this possible.
And thank every single one of you for being in this room
and making it just something that we can continue doing and enjoying together.
We really appreciate you.
We hope you have a fantastic and artsy weekend, and we will
see you next week. Thank you.
