Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. so
yo yo yo welcome to based another edition i don't, it's been a year. I don't know,
however many episodes is there in a year. 50-something, maybe. Somewhere in that ballpark.
Got a great space tonight for you. We got the homies from Miggles. I saw Perlabs up here as
well. We'll have Basement and a few other projects. I got Fox. Where the heck did they go?
They were just up here.
Fox, Aria, get up here.
We got a nice little lineup going for you tonight and then an open mic.
You know, we'll have some folks come through and just share what they're working on and hopefully not pin up anything weird because that's not, you know, that's never good.
But when you do an open mic, you take some risks.
All right.
Life's about risk, but you got to be balanced.
You got to be a little careful.
So I'll try to at least do a quick peek at your timeline so I don't bring up anything too crazy.
But that being said, anything here?
Yo, give me just a second, man.
I'm doing my little intro here, and I'll say what's up in just a second, Nick.
and I'll say what's up in just a sec, Nick.
But, yeah, you know, yeah, all good.
You got to make sure you see,
I totally lost my train of thought, man.
You unmuted and I'm like, what was I even saying?
But yeah, Funk should be here in just a minute
to a co-host, maybe Render, I don't know.
Render's like, he uses Starlink for his internet
and I swear that he's always got uses starlink for his internet and i swear
that he's always got a storm every time there's a space so i guess that's florida life you know
rains pours sun comes out you know all good so yeah request up um you know we'll definitely
try to get folks a chance especially if you haven't been in the spaces before
you know i want to highlight some builders uh talk a little bit about kind of what's going on. I've got a few other spaces I'll be involved with.
I want to kind of talk through some of that tonight. And yeah, there's some cool shit
happening on base. Like, I don't know about you guys, but I can always kind of tell when
shit's going well because I get added to a lot of chats. Like, I don't know if that happens to
anyone else, but I can like, all of a sudden I'm just in like, you know, 10 times as many,
you know, telegram chats and I'm getting hit by, you know, multiple projects. I can always tell
when things are heating up, uh, just based off of that. So that, that, that's my little indicator.
I guess my alpha is, it seems like there's a lot cooking right now
a lot of people are you know just trying to figure out where to fit in um you know obviously base has
got some pretty unique opportunities um you know being the top l2 just saw a huge massive um
update with ethereum if you haven't seen that yet check it out um for the devs out there that want
to come up and talk about it.
Feel free to request because you'll probably sound a lot smarter than I will about it.
But it sounds like a big deal.
You know, anytime there's a big update like that, things get faster, things get easier.
Apparently, you know, essentially the smart wallet ERC 4337 is being sort of implemented everywhere.
So we just love seeing that kind of stuff.
Sounds nerdy, but if it makes it easier to onboard and makes things faster, you know, I'm all about it.
I'm all about it.
Let me get these requests up here.
I don't see Funk.
Where's CoinMerge at tonight?
CoinMerge has been having a rough couple of weeks as far as their base side goes.
They're still working on their node.
I've been getting sort of updates as we go.
For those of you that are using their buy bot, there they are.
They should be up and running soon.
And when they do kick off, we're going to hit it hard.
We're going to hit the coin rank or buy bot's going to be blowing up.
We're going to get trending everywhere.
We're going to get projects trending.
We're going to get discounted and free trending for folks uh we're gonna do some we're gonna do some fun stuff
coin coin merge funk is that you you finally made it yes i did i finally made it i'm here
it's all right everyone we can start i'm here yeah i've been covering for you for like uh the
last five minutes just trying to keep it going, man,
until you showed up.
No, I'm just kidding.
It's all good.
Good to see you again.
I think that's from Anchorman, right,
when they did the new show without him and he comes running.
He's like, it's okay, everyone.
We can start.
Yeah, man.
Excited to be here, man.
Excited as always for base.
I think the macro market is slowly uptrending from from where it went down
to and i just think we're going to slow rise here on on east and and base as well yeah looking
forward to it like i said i mean i don't i could like not even look at charts and i can just kind
of i can just tell the the water's you know rising when i check my uh telegram and i gotta
i gotta like go through and read a bunch of different group chats. There's
even stuff that's been dormant for
months that's all of a sudden just blowing up my
DMs. I'm like, okay, alright, well,
I didn't know where you guys were, but you're back. I'm happy
for you. Let's just fucking build some
shit, I guess.
Love to see it. Alright.
Alright. We're almost ready to
get started, but we gotta give
updates. We to give our
normal weekly updates so funk you want to give folks a little update on the the coin merge side
yeah sure thing uh so what's what's cool that's been going on with us what's not cool is that our
base node has been down and basically you know last week i mentioned it become corrupted and this
this uh server company is like,
yeah, we'll set you up a custom server because it needs to be custom size because base is so large.
And then functionally, you know, long and short of it is they're like, it'll be done tomorrow.
And that was a week and a half ago. And so we're still waiting for them to actually set it up.
And every time we tell, ask them, it's tomorrow or a day or two. So unfortunately, you know,
it's put us on the back foot and thus the buy bot is up.
But of course, like I said, we're going to make it a banger when it does go back up.
We're going to give free trending out. We're going to be tweeting base projects left and right and looking for the projects
that are here, you know, to be giving that promotion.
We'll make it base week at CoinMerge when that goes back up.
And so we'll try to bring value and hype to all you guys in the base blockchain as a whole.
In other CoinMerge news, what is kind of cool about what's going on is recently I took
over the CoinMerge token trend.
I don't even know if Quigley knows that.
Yeah, you mentioned it last week.
Yeah, but that's going pretty cool.
We're coming up with that.
We came up with some new use cases for it.
I think we're going to hold I'm going to hold a crypto convention next year slap music
So in the daytime, it'll be like a crypto convention.
Then it'll turn into like a rock concert at night.
And then in addition to that, some new use cases and utilities with that particular token.
Also involving promoting musicians, man, and bringing musicians to web3 and bringing web3 to
to musicians and up-and-coming artists because uh as we all know for for cryptocurrency marketing
is is there's a lot of it right there's a ton of marketing that goes on but for for all these like
startup bands or startup uh djs or producers i guess you call them or rappers or whatever
uh they they don't have many
outlets, man.
They're just like among a sea of like a million different artists.
And then they could pay for Facebook ads so that bots can like their thing.
But here in DeFi, man, we have a lot of real audiences tuning in, paying attention.
So my goal with that project partially is to start bringing some of those those bands to web3 put them on put them
on x spaces you know let let them uh have a little promo or intro their song so a lot of cool stuff
with the token coming up there uh other than that uh reach out to us for amas while our base buybot
is down all our other blockchains are up we still have massive traffic on our x account and otherwise
and we'd love to get in some of your guys corner for the upcoming
bullish kind of cycle here and
Be able to represent your project and and help bring you guys up in valuation up in impressions and do everything we can to help projects here
so send us a DM if you want to work and do solo AMA's or
You know long-term marketing support other than that back to you quickly
Yeah, man, that's awesome no the the
devs devs do something that's what you were supposed to say when you said the node was down
come on devs do something yeah man we keep poking them with the stick do something yeah no that's
great and i think base week's a great idea uh i think we'd all we'd all love to see the sort of
like renaissance reset whatever you want to call it, bringing it back.
So basically, like, you know, if you have the CoinRanker bot, it's not firing right now.
And you're probably using another bot that's just not as sexy, right?
So as soon as that CoinRanker bot comes alive, we need to get everyone using it get get the trending going uh and just fire the
fire that engine back up and you know i think it's a good it'll be good you know to have a little
coordination around some of that so definitely hit me up as well um if you're looking for help
on that side as well as coin merge account here definitely uh looking forward to that and yeah
just just another thing i'll mention too since you brought up the token, we'd all love to see a bridge, man.
That would be pretty dope.
I know you guys are on the mainnet, but man, if we could do a bridge, I mean, if you can get the deck to do something there.
I think it's inevitable that I'm coming to base with it.
I mean, my plan is to do like a stealth migration, just kind of notify everyone like, oh, by the way, we're on base now.
And you've got base now and you've
got base tokens and ditch the ETH tokens.
And so I totally want to come to base.
We have a huge network here and it's just a great blockchain, man.
And for a utility, you know, say we want to build tech later, like, do we want our clients
paying $1.30 in gas fees, 40 cents in gas fees, or do you want them paying, you know,
pennies on the dollar? Plus,
with a team like Coinbase and all the support
and the Coinbase Pay apps,
it's just built for tech
and for utilities like ours
and the ones here that are going to be presenting
today. So I did go ahead and pin up
we just kind of created
a new X account for the token, but there's a
Telegram if you want to join. Guys, please don't bought it.
I'm just trying to avoid bots.
I'm trying my best, man.
From the guys that make bots.
All good, man.
And then we'll be excited to see
you guys get that note up, and then we can
start talking about Web3
Shards and how a lot of these devs,
if they're looking for access to
base on-chain data for free, three shards and you know how a lot of these devs if they're looking for access to uh base uh on
chain data uh for free uh yeah they definitely want to take advantage of that so we'll get into
that whenever we get back to uh you know back to uh full full speed um yeah base cartel doing great
everything's looking good we got some pretty exciting stuff in our ecosystem i've been talking
about for about two months.
The devs are devving there as well.
And I just saw some freaking really sick animation.
I can't wait to share publicly.
That's all I can say on that.
No alpha sharing there, just a little bit of teaser.
I apologize for that.
But, yeah, we're doing great. Every week we have our base space, which is one of the best places to come and hear from the biggest and best base builders. We love seeing everybody come in every week. It's been a lot of success.
who's listening after the spaces are over.
I feel like a live audience is great.
We love seeing you guys all here,
but I just, I really get a good sort of like,
it's like really good feedback, right?
When I see, okay, you know,
a couple hundred people went back and listened
or people that missed the space
went and listened to it on their time.
It's kind of gives it more of that podcast
kind of like feeling, you know,
when people are finding that much value that they go back and listen.
So I love it.
So I've also recently kind of talked about it, I think, a little bit in the last few spaces.
But I have joined with Shush from Secret Base and Rachel on Chain.
We'll be doing a Friday space with the build on base account.
So the official base builder account will be joined by people from the base team, other builders in the space.
But more importantly, is this space the way I've kind of pitched it to them was an opportunity for us to highlight everyone, you know, that's building on base.
for us to highlight everyone, you know, that's building on base, specifically, you know, kind
of starting with people that have applied and gotten grants from base. And just really from
you guys, like anybody who's doing something cool, reach out, you know, let me know what you're doing
because we can either, if we can't get you on the space, you know, when we're doing it, maybe we can
figure out a way to highlight you during the space. So either way, that's what that's about. It's just a way to highlight, you know, what's going on
and who's doing what. So reach out. I'm excited about that. And then, of course, the On-Chain
Summit will be in August. That's an event that many of us in the cartel and many of the OG's
meme tokens and builders on base, attended the last on-chain summit.
We'll be doing another one in August.
Every other Monday, we'll be hosting a space for that as well.
And so that'll also be joined by many of the base team and the projects that will be participating in that event.
And you definitely don't want to miss it because basically our goal with those spaces is to give tickets out.
So we'll be giving out free tickets to the event, which are worth quite a bit.
So you'll definitely want to tune in and see if you can't get yourself a ticket just by listening.
And then, of course, just that type of space, you're going to hear a lot of alpha about the event and how you can participate.
Okay, so that's all my updates.
Let's talk about projects.
Let's get into the reason we're all here tonight and hear from some of the projects that are sort of already on the agenda.
And then we'll kick it off and I'll start bringing up all the requests.
A lot of requests going, so bear with me.
We'll get through Miggles and Foxaria and Basement,
and then we'll kick it off to the rest of the speakers.
So first up is the legends, Mr. Miggles and Perlabs.
What's going on over there?
How you doing?
I don't know who's behind which account, so...
The Miggles account is unmuted, but I couldn't hear anything.
Could you guys hear anything?
I can't hear anything either.
Oh, man, Mr. Miggles, you might have to do a trip, come back up.
Perlabs, is there someone behind that account there? Yep, I, Mr. Mingles, you might have to do a trip, come back up. Perlabs, is there someone behind that account there?
Yep, I'm here.
What's going on?
We'll kick it over to you.
Not at a park this time.
All good, man, all good.
Yeah, I know you've joined a few of our spaces recently, and we'd love to hear an update from the Perlabs side.
And then, obviously, your partner there at the mr mingles account we want
to hear from you mingles yo yo yep i can hear you now all right there we go now hey guys
man you guys quite think you guys got quite the audience here so thanks so much for having us
we're always so grateful to be part of the base cartel community and excited to be here once again.
Yeah, man, we're glad to have you. You know, I know there's been a lot of a lot of developments, I think, since the last time you guys came to one of our spaces.
So I don't know if you want to share with the audience what's been going on the last few months and kind of what you're looking forward to here in the near future.
For sure. Absolutely. Hey, everyone, this is Tyler Rocket here in the near future. For sure. Absolutely.
Hey everyone, this is Tyler Rocket here from the Mr. Miggles team.
I actually just got back from Token 2049 Dubai.
And so that was interesting to be at because, you know, you don't just usually go out to these events to make up as many people as
possible because that's where we seem to get the most responses and natural organic
growth because we haven't taken really the route of these more the paid
promotion routes more so just like having these IRL activations connecting
with people IRL building community and that has been successful for us so we've
seen so far but being out there and token this time on the other side of the
planet it was interesting other side of the planet
it was interesting because most of the discussion was actually more around like
solana and suey there was a lack of base representation there guys so and i know
that's partly due because there was farcon happening in new york so that seems to be
where most of the base fam was at so i'm curious to learn like how farcon went for you guys if anyone
attended um but from the middle east side lots of cooking you know usually when i'm at these events
i am representing the mr mills community but even beyond that i am representing trying my best to
represent the best of base show that on the base that we're cooking out here and we're going to be base is going to be the chain
that all boards the mass through the creator economy so yeah so we just got back from Dubai
other than that mixture mills we actually have quite a few product releases that are going to
be coming up so that's a little bit of alpha there but we've been cooking for quite some time now with these digital collectibles, these physical collectibles, and smart fashion as well.
So stay tuned. We'll have some exciting updates on that front very soon now.
But for other updates, I think I'd like to hand it over to our good friend Gail over at ProLabs.
Yeah, hey guys. So yeah, so as Tyler was saying we we have kind of these uh our smart
products coming out and kind of like what is a smart toy a smart collectible what is smart fashion
it's you know we're building these interconnected physical and digital experiences um so with
miggles you know uh rolling out um our first line of, uh, plushy keychains that will connect to, um, like a Miggles dashboard, a Miggleverse dashboard that we're rolling out, um, and actually have the digital twin of it across different games within the arcade.
So not just the physical toy itself, but you could have cosmetics from the toy also in the games as cosmetics.
There's going to be a lot more rolling out on this dashboard.
So I'm not going to get too much into that,
but we'll be announcing a lot more of kind of like what we're building there
pretty soon.
And the presale for the actual key chains will be going live after we go to
Vegas for,
so we're going to Vegas for the Vegas Licensing Expo, May 20th through the 22nd, where we're sharing a booth with Disney, Star Wars, UFC.
So we're actually in the same booth as some pretty big names.
And we're going to have a massive Miggles mural there as well.
a massive Miggles mural there as well.
Kind of the whole goal there is to really, you know,
taking the Mr. Miggles license, which we got from Coinbase,
and really using it to build that brand up and onboard people on,
you know, on-chain.
Because essentially a smart toy or a smart collectible
or even like a like a smart hoodie
becomes an onboarding channel for uh for base because each one essentially is a coinbase wallet
so there's a lot that can be done with that uh to bring people on and then keep people on
and not only that but keep engagement high because one of the biggest issues a lot of times with these kind of promotional events where you get people to download a Coinbase wallet is, you know, if they're not in Web3, essentially, they might download the wallet, but they don't go back and use that wallet.
So with what we're building, we're making it so seamless and so fun.
Ultimately, you want something that's
fun um you know you want a web 3 game that is that doesn't feel like a web 3 game it just feels like
a fun game um people will be kind of within the mingle verse uh playing our games uh you know
playing with the toys and or just having the collectibles on their mantle.
And yeah, we're pretty excited to be kind of rolling that line of products out pretty soon.
And just to recap on the smart toy and smart fashion kind of topic there.
So we're using like NFC. Is that right?
Like it's like essentially going to have
the, that's going to be a chip and then you're going to have the wallet all integrated.
Is that kind of the, is that the right understanding? Yeah, basically. So yeah,
all of it has NFC chips. We'll also have a QR code and being able to basically,
We'll also have a QR code and being able to basically, yeah, scan, scan the product, takes you to the dashboard where you register the toy.
And then, and then kind of walks people through actually spinning up like a Coinbase wallet.
And, you know, ultimately, like a lot of this stuff won't necessarily need like you to even know you have a wallet.
We're working pretty closely with Third Web,
who makes just amazing tech that really...
Some of the biggest products and games right now are using Third Web
because their tools allow for this kind of seamless onboarding
experience where ultimately like nobody should really like care that um you know there's like
crypto blockchain running the show like i mean obviously that like you want people to
to know that but when it comes down to it like like when i'm like playing you know when i'm playing a game um i don't care what the tech is you know i just want it to be fun and that's kind
of ultimately um what we're doing is is building these fun experiences where people don't have to
know um a seed phrase or you know now you can slowly teach them that stuff over time uh but
if you just you know we've learned this from previous cycles also.
It's like if you just hit people with all of it all up front, it makes them not want
to be on chain.
Oh, I agree.
I actually kind of my like, you know, this is kind of my little world that I live in.
I kind of like to make really simple kind of like analogies
or whatever. But anyway, so what I like to kind of compare it to is like, you kind of, we want to
get on chain, you know, very similar to like, as far as using the tech to, to Wi-Fi, whereas
essentially, yeah, sure. If you break it all down and talk about it for like an hour, it's, it's
really, it could sound really nerdy. And like somebody would bore the hell out of somebody.
If you talked about how Wi-Fi works, how it's, you know, progressed over the years, blah, blah, blah.
But if you just know, if people just start using it as something that's in the background
and it enables you to do cool things, then it's just Wi-Fi. So being on chain is just being on
chain. It's just a thing that happens in the background while you're doing the cool stuff
that you like to do. And once you get to that point, we're, we're at the, you know, we're at the point where
nobody's, nobody's really thinking about the tech side of it. They're just, they're wanting it to
work. Right. And, um, so yeah, so I, I, I think that's a great way to do it. Um, I've always been
a fan of, um, uh, the NFC kind of, um, kind of breaking into the real world, um, you know,
taking it off chain essentially,
and putting the products in people's hands is definitely going to be, you know, exciting
I'm hoping there's going to be a lot of community sort of generated content, you know, from
people getting these, you know, unboxing them or buying them in stores and showing people,
hey, here's what these things can do.
Because I think that'd be pretty fun to watch.
Yeah, absolutely.
And you could do a lot of fun stuff with the physicals too.
Like, I mean, this is for like way later down the line, but like having this, having like a little plush key chain and like, let's say you go to like the stadium, like you could
do like prox, you could basically do, geofencing and things like that,
where, like, now you give people benefits of, like, having physical
and they're out in the real world doing things.
Yeah, definitely.
So there's a lot of cool stuff that, you know,
we're excited to kind of get all this out and then continue to build.
Like, ultimately, like, the analogy is like you want
to release a skateboard um even though you're building like like an airplane um where where
like for us i feel like we're we're releasing a motorcycle so a little a little closer to kind of
that end goal um and ultimately i think that's also kind of like with base right it's like
there's this grand vision of what it's going to be,
and we're getting closer and closer to kind of what it will be as this,
yeah, basically just this, kind of the foundation of the new internet, right?
Yeah, 100%.
So if I may, yeah, one thing I wanted to add,
clearly something interesting that you mentioned is the UGC component.
How do we activate the community?
How do we get the community more involved and empowered by what we're pushing out for the Miggles vision?
And so one thing that we were able to establish with WebAs when we received the Miggles license was the directive to create a Miggles creator fund that we're utilizing further to empower creators
within the Miggles ecosystem. And so actually not too long ago we actually launched our first Zora
post as a contribution and testament to the new Zora culture and actually utilizing the creator
earning fees from that we have begun the skill of empowering Miggles creators.
And we're looking forward to how we're able to further establish and build that out.
So stay tuned for more Miggles creations coming out of the Miggles community.
And one last thing that I want to mention is you guys were talking about music earlier.
And what if I told you that we actually have like three to four Miggles tracks already ready
to be shared with the world
we're just waiting for the right timing
on when to announce and release a Mr. Miggles EP
so let's chat more music on the side as well
so lots cooking
Miggles is ever
so thanks for having us guys
Miggles I love it yeah no 100 you know as as a
you know one of the the biggest you know most well-known um you know tokens on base
you're uh everyone loves hearing what's cooking over there and what's happening
um obviously uh a cartel member as well so we love it i know and i know you guys uh use that
coin ranker,
but I, I like, you probably heard me talking about at the moment it's not working, but once
it's back up, we'll get, we'll get that thing firing off for you guys again. Uh, but yeah,
definitely appreciate y'all joining tonight. Stick around if you'd like, um, some more of
your partners I think are in the space or joining the space. So I'm sure they'd love to, to chat it
up if you're still around,
but let's kick this thing around a little bit. Oh, and if you guys want to pin something up for folks while you're up here, of course, feel free just so people know where to look or what,
you know, what's the call to action type thing. Feel free, feel free. But let's, let's go to Fox
Aria. I know we had you come through our space, I don't know, a month or so ago,
and we talked a little bit, but I don't think we got to hear the full story,
and I've seen you guys are cooking on the timeline.
So, yeah, tell everybody what you got going on, Fox Aria.
Yo, how are you guys doing?
How's everyone doing?
Thanks for the bite back kicks.
Oh, man, I had a little cough there.
Yeah, thanks for the invite back.
It's quite late here, not really, but I'm cooking some dinner up, so I'm just going to put that on the side.
It's very nice to hear some updates from Miggles and what you guys are cooking.
I did want to get to you about the little character that you
wanted to put into the game uh but yeah so fox era is pretty much a game on base that's coming
soon uh we're cooking up a tournament within the next month or so so if you guys are into the skill
competition strategy type of games uh make sure to follow us.
But pretty much it's a 2D pixel platformer
where communities connecting games
through on-chain avatars.
So the one aspect that we're doing differently
from all the other pixel metaverse that you see
is that the avatars are actually on-chain,
it's gonna be on base.
And not to get really on the nerdy side, it's pretty much a token-bound account.
It has its own wallet, so it can collect stats, assets, and different things.
And the whole idea is, like, it's kind of, if we have enough content in the future,
it's going to create its own kind of identity in terms of what it does on the platform,
how many troph trophy they win
Game competition they accomplish and all that good stuff. So we have a Miggles character coming. There's
Eight skins. So the idea really is that we have a character called shadow. It's an open edition
Avatar but for the tournament we're gonna have ten shadows. They're going to be about $20 each.
25% of the prize shadow mints will go towards the prize pool.
So the prize pool will start at $5,000, and it can go up to $55,000.
So if you guys are looking to compete, make sure you guys take a look.
And the whole idea is that the shadow can drink a potion from an IP community.
We're starting on base at the moment.
So we have like 20 plus communities joining us.
And we wanted to share revenue with the creators in terms of a referral link in the potions.
We're trying to working our, we're working our way along the lines in terms of what we can do.
We're working our way along the lines in terms of what we can do.
But if you drink a Migos potion, you pretty much transform your shadow into a Migos,
and you can get one of eight skin, and it can be used as your game avatar in the 2D platform that we're creating.
That's super sick, and i see a lot of the um make sure you pin something up
all your own space too because there's a lot of uh a lot of cool collabs you guys are doing with
different projects can you talk about some of the some of those 20 plus projects you're working with
i think people would like to hear some of those yeah for sure man like right now we have like
over 100 avatar designs so like tooshi themselves has 10 avatars.
So pretty much you drink a Toshi potion.
You can get like a gold Toshi, red, blue, yellow.
Same thing with Miggles.
We pretty much have all the meme communities apart or most that I can get a hold of.
And just working our way through all the partnerships was kind of
crazy. I think you guys did something similar with Base Cartel. But yeah, we were kind of heads down
figuring things out. We were actually around since like 2022. We did a MVP season around that time.
But you know, back in 2021, the NFT season
was kind of tricky. You know, we did, like, the
sandbox thing.
We did, like,
a bunch of different things until settling onto
the MVP product that we did
and kind of going through, like,
different devs because the devs
were not devin.
And, you know, now we're here
trying to put in all our efforts.
So, yeah, it's pretty much a self-funded project,
and we're doing our best to bring bass together, bring the games together,
and kind of move forward with the on-chain economy.
Awesome, man.
Well, I'm looking forward to seeing it all come together,
and obviously, yeah, I can relate.
I think back there in like
October-ish whenever I was putting together the uh the initial sort of partnerships for the base
cartel you know as far as it relates to the uh you know the staking pool and everything I can't
even tell you like like looking back I don't even know how we did that I probably didn't
just to get all those you know all those conversations going but but you
know having a team and having folks help you kind of spread the load is a huge help so shout out to
the team over at base cartel for for helping me with that and continuing to help us onboard
you know projects but yeah I think you mentioned you got quite a few meme projects in there
I bet I can find you a few more obviously there's a few in the cartel I think you mentioned you got quite a few meme projects in there. I bet I can find you a few more.
Obviously, there's a few in the cartel I think that would be happy to, you know, hear about what's being built there.
So since we're here, we're on the space, and, you know, we're connecting here, let's just talk a little bit more after the space or maybe sometime this week and see if we can't, you know, find a few more avatars to put in if that's what you guys want to do there.
Was there anything else that you wanted to cover on the space or pin up for everyone that they can go check out?
Yeah, for sure.
I'm happy to talk after the space or sometimes tomorrow, anytime you're free.
Let's just see.
Because we still have like five communities that we're trying to onboard.
Well, the avatar is still in works.
But yeah, I would say just everyone to keep an eye out for the next month or so.
We're doing like a squid game theme where all the communities are going to have some squid game assets.
And like I said, like the shadow and drinking the potion, you're pretty much all the assets on the platform will be interruptible.
So if you have a Squid Game asset, you can wear it across any of the other avatars.
If you kind of have like a mog, glasses or goggles or whatsoever, you can also trade it.
Trade it if you want or wear it with Onotoshi, Amigos.
Yeah, lots of things that we're trying to do on the platform.
We're trying to think long term,
but the market conditions are kind of like up and down all the time.
So it's a little anxiety-inducing for sure.
But yeah, within the next month, the Fox Area Games will come,
and there will be three events, three games, three weeks, and one final.
And whoever is going to be in the final
game pretty much the top 200 players will face off in a battle to win the first place dude i don't
know what's going on in the background there but it sounds like you're in a like a tunnel or
something i don't know i hear you you sound fine sound fine. It's just there's some feedback or something going on.
But yeah, definitely all of us are excited to see this come out.
Man, I'm really happy that you guys are on base.
And, you know, cooking since 2022 over here. That's a long cook. Super excited.
Nichols, you had your hand up. Did to chime in i didn't i didn't mean to
steal your thunder yeah yeah no i just wanted to take a second to acknowledge um the amazing work
that the fox area team has done i just can speak for the miggles community we absolutely love
whenever we see fox area videos of miggles so it's something that i'm personally really excited
to try out so regardless of market timing i you're going to have a great audience checking it out.
So we're all excited for the release.
Hell yeah.
Thank you, man.
I appreciate it.
Yeah, pretty much.
I don't know if you guys, can we use a mic on Twitter space?
Because I'm with the earbuds.
I'm not sure what's possible with Twitter spaces.
Can you mute the mic? you what do you mean i'm the the fuzziness i think is actually some
are you using um like uh earpods or yeah yeah exactly yeah i think it's coming from that but
it's all good man we all heard what you said it's just kind of it was just kind of there it's all
good though yeah it's all good man we all i. It's all good, man. We all –
I didn't –
Well, back in the day, you couldn't use, like, a mic on a computer, right?
So I didn't know you could now.
Yeah, they're changing stuff up finally.
But, yeah, for sure, man.
Well, hey, thanks again for joining us.
Definitely, everybody reach out.
Shoot them a follow.
Reach out if you want to get involved potentially with your project
or just as a player.
Make sure you stay in tune for that.
Looking forward to it.
All right.
Thank you, guys.
Have a good...
Yeah, man.
You're welcome to stick around.
I know you said it was kind of getting late and you're trying to eat dinner, so all good either way, man.
Thanks, Quigs.
Have a good one awesome man we got another uh project up here that had reached out and i spoke with earlier i've been hearing things about these
people in the basement i don't know what they're doing down there making a lot of noise my i try
to stay out of my basement these days i don't know what's going on down there it's kind of a little
bit cluttered it gets a little messy so i've just been kind of
avoiding it but you know for the past couple of days i keep hearing coming from the basement
so i don't know about you guys but i want to hear i just kind of i need to know what the
hell's happening over here at basement what's going on well i mean you know you've got the
the privilege of of being able to avoid the basement, Quigs.
I think for a lot of people, you know, they're still trying to make it out of there one way or another,
either degen their way out or build their way out. But no, man, you're the most dangerous man in crypto, Quigs.
So, you know, maybe you've got something else going on in the basement that you got to check out, bro.
I've been hearing stories about, you know you know, some, some sort of like pharmaceutical
dealings and, uh, cartels and all sorts. So, uh, yeah, man. Uh, yeah, but, but, but no,
in all, in all honesty, like the, the basement is effectively, um, kind of like a representation
of where we all begin. Right. It was kind of like inspired a little bit by the house coin on on solana um and
you know like i used to feel some type of way about like having some sort of like shared mind
share or meme ability or some sort of inspiration taken from other chains or whatever whatever but
like realistically to me now i've got to that stage where like everything is a meme you know like it's all memeable even a meme is memeable
so it you know someone came to to to uh you know king of apes launchpad call a launchpad with the
idea of launching a token called basement right and you know like for me straight away i was like
yeah you know like in my head i thought yeah you're right like motherfuckers are talking about
buying a house i'm trying to get out of the basement right now you know and uh it was just a you know apologies for the language by the way
but um yeah it was like that kind of um it was that kind of like vibe that i i guess i kind of
got from it straight away it was almost like a meme of the meme of house and it was base related
right like it makes sense like yeah where is our basement like even base has a basement and
the the thing about it quigs is we can cook anything in the basement right like whether
you're a builder whether you're a meme uh generator whether you're a creative like it
all starts in the basement like so much i mean loads of other stuff happens in basements too but
um you know like so much creativity also starts there so i think like we've got this opportunity to kind of like you know evolve into what the basement of bass looks
like and it could be anything right and and we've kind of gone for at the minute like a bit of a
i guess uh like wojack fields guy kind of like approach like you know this djn you know he's
just spent well he might even be a dj could this D-Gen, you know, he's just spent, well, he might even be a D-Gen, could be a builder, whatever, but, um, you know, he's just
spent, you know, 24 hours on a, on a CTO or, uh, you know, his bags got wrecked, right? And he's,
he's taking part in this CTO 24 hours. He hasn't slept and, you know, he wakes up and he's like,
or, you know, looks in the mirror, hairs, hairs all frazzled, you know, black, uh, you know,
under eye bags, everything. And, um, yeah, he's just trying to get at the basementled, you know, black, you know, under eye bags, everything. And yeah, he's just trying to get at the basement.
And, you know, you know, another thing where like, you know,
maybe like a builder has been building an app for maybe a customer or a project
or whatever, you know, he had a deadline and, you know,
he's putting all his hours in to try to get to that.
So, yeah, we're looking at the minute um to to support the team
like i'm not the dev of basement i i would say that i've i like the meme um you know in the same
way that i've liked other memes and i've supported those ones and i i i think like it can grow into
something like really like funny cool like it'll have like you know a humorous twist uh as well but you know
there's there's it's early days obviously we only launched a few days back and we're trying to
establish you know a community and an identity as to sort of where and you know like like what
all of this means because getting out the basement could mean different things to different people
um but yeah we just wanted to have a little bit of fun we want to create like a pve runner where everybody sort of gets it like
yeah this just makes sense like even bass itself we're trying to get it out of the basement of
like we're at like the bottoms you know you know what i mean so it's like it's that kind of um
vibe that we're we're going for and you know it was uh like a dev who we've worked with in the past who came to us uh um you know on
the call launch pad and we yeah we offer marketing services and support services for people who want
to deploy projects um so like if you have a language barrier you know like as an example i'm
here representing basement speaking on behalf of it as a as a community member as well as a team
and as well as some you know a kind of like from a marketing perspective for um coa as well so we
offer you know those services so um yeah we really want to see projects do well on base we want them
to have a little bit of humor you know good team good vibes um and yeah we'll we'll build it day
by day and we'll keep getting that kind of PVE thing.
And yeah, hopefully basement to the penthouse, Quigs, we'll be joining you and weighing up
white powder.
Oh yeah, man. That's pretty, no, that's pretty, it's a good meme. Like you mentioned the house
thing, like that's obviously one of those like metas that I was kind of like, what is
going on now? Like, why are we just launching house coin and what's next um i think i remember last uh maybe it was last year maybe it
was even earlier gosh i don't even know there was like a used a used car coin i think it was like a
used civic or something like that they ran for a while i mean there's there's a lot of uh meta like
that that that just works.
And you guys took it and made it a little, I think it made it more meme-y than House.
I mean, it's got a little more sort of like real meme feel to it than, you know, House feels kind of just like simple.
The basement is actually like, you know, that is a commonly used like reference, right?
Like you're in your parents' basement, you know, that whole thing. So, you know, if you're a dad and, you know, you got kids, you know, you probably got your computer down in the basement because you're trying to, like, get some space and get away from the kids so you can hang out with your DJ and friends on spaces on Wednesday night
so you got a basement right
or it's your cave you know
it's also a cave I think
you can totally take that approach like
maybe have people start doing
sharing like photos of their
actual like setup you know in the cave
and maybe we'll see some cool stuff
around that I always like it when people show all their sports stuff you know like hey
check out my setup but you know people start doing like you know kind of like their on-chain
setup like look at all my merch I got from from Dubai and on-chain summit and look at this I got
you know I got a miggles uh plush I got a you know i've got the the boomer uh artwork you know all this stuff
in my in my basement uh that'd be pretty sick dude uh so i don't know it's fun it's a fun meme
and it's a good group of people behind it which is i think an incredibly important ingredient so
happy to have you guys uh join and looking forward to seeing seeing what's next i appreciate you i
think like i think for me
right like i like i i'll be completely up front i think that there is still like work to be done
in terms of like generating memes like creating like a kind of like unified branded message
uh around it and these things take time like we're trying to um like it could be more directed
from us i guess in some way shape or form but at the same time
we want to see what people resonate with like from a sentiment perspective because like like
you mentioned it could be a man cave it could be this it could be a stage of your life that you
you're currently in right like you might actually have no basement you might have a really nice
house or whatever but for whatever reason you feel like you're in this kind of like basement
you know period period. And the
aim is to try to like get out of it and, but have fun at the same time. And yeah, it is a meme of
house coin. It's meant to be funny. And they've done some like really cool stuff on their website.
They've kind of like, you know, you can like build models of houses and there's some sort of like
RWA element to it and whatever. And like, the thing is, is that we could do the same, like we
could literally have something like build your way out of the basement, you is is that we could do the same like we could literally have something
like build your way out of the basement you know and we could look for um you know people to put
create cool stuff and we'll showcase it right and some of it will make it to the penthouse and some
of it won't maybe we could go down an incubation route maybe we could go down you know an inspiration
like we the point is is that like i love the memes that have the ability
to adapt and like and mean uh something different to everyone but still have a common unifying
message right like like one of the other ones as an example was like you know i'm not trying to
mention it but like uh you know that that miss in terms of like okay so everybody understands like
what it would mean to be like that what it means in crypto and i feel like with basement like yeah it's it's kind of it's related
to base as a whole right that's in the name and we're on that chain but at the same time there's
so many levels at which you could um yeah really meme it and and what we're really looking for now
is people to create those memes participate there is a meme competition going on at the minute.
We're working with and looking to onboard some really good artists.
We've got a boatload of marketing already sorted.
But now we're looking for some really good artists.
We're going to be looking to work with devs to build us some cool stuff for them to showcase it.
to build us some like like cool stuff for them to showcase it we'll showcase it for them
We'll showcase it for them.
um and and yeah like we'll look to collab with other smaller projects that are maybe trying to
get recognition right so you know if it's not about contrast or competition it's about like
you know i don't want to say collaboration because it's so cliche in that respect but
yeah it's about like um complementary behaviors like you know there's uh there's there are other
projects that are doing great stuff like foxaria as an example is doing great stuff and they've
they're working with thing and there's that level of cross-pollination that's happening
um we're also looking to um you know work with um you know whether it's creative studios software
developers whatever it is we want to kind of like have the DGEN community element,
but also ship some really good stuff.
And at the same time, have that marketing power as well, because we really want to unify.
We want to create like a unified thing where everybody can relate.
And it's not PVP, it's PVE.
Like we're aiming to support.
We're aiming to support.
Yes, there are going to be people who are going to swing trade and do this and all of that.
Yes, there are going to be people who are going to swing trade and do this and all of that.
But the aim is to work together to try to price them out slowly and build this really vibrant community of people, devs, and all sorts.
Anyway, I'll stop there quickly.
You know what I'm like?
I'll keep going forever, bro.
Yeah, I know.
I was getting ready to say, man.
This guy can talk for hours, man.
We've got to be careful.
But yeah, no, I think
this is one you guys need to check out.
Shoot him a follow. Do your own research, as
always, like we love to say, but
I think you'll like what you see.
And to kind of put it, from my perspective,
to simplify it, there's
levels to this game, right?
There's levels to this game, and so
you've got to start in the basement,
right? So it's that simple. And then if you don't know because some people in
some parts of the world may not even have a basement so let me help you
understand it's basically the foundation of your home it's where it all starts
it's the very beginning it's the first the first thing that you do it's like
well besides dig a hole but you know wonderfully said beautifully said that's exactly it you got it quick so so you know if you're wonderfully said, beautifully said. That's exactly it. You got it,
Quiggs. So, so, uh, you know, if you're a builder, start, start there. Uh, but you know,
surprisingly just on, and I'll go to the next project, but you know, as it turns out, you know,
I live in the Midwest. I've lived, uh, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, most places you live in the
Midwest have basements, right? Because, well, there's tornadoes and shit, right? So obviously
that's where you hide. That's where you take shelter. And so it's also a shelter from
the storm. But you know what's surprising in Oklahoma? A majority of the houses in Oklahoma
don't have a basement, which is, it's shocking, right? Like they, they got the worst tornado
issue there than, you issue there versus everyone else.
They don't do basements.
It's like a weird thing that they started doing a long time ago and just never, the builders there just don't do them.
Like you get lucky if you find a house with a basement.
It's weird.
No, it's not the water level.
It's not the soil.
It's just some weird shit that happened like 100 years ago and now nobody nobody does it but anyways on that
note check out basement i'll stop talking about basements because uh we need to go to another
project um yeah we've got i think we've heard from the planned guests tonight so it's time to
kind of open the mic up uh for a bit i think we can go for a little longer i'd say probably another
30 minutes or so i know uh funk i know you mentioned you had some family stuff happening so feel free to pop off whenever you
need to or uh stick around it's up to you uh basement you had you had your hand up go ahead
yeah i was just gonna say like is it okay if i come on my forged account where to just for the
open mic bit oh is that okay well yeah yeah yeah all right give me a second i'll be back in a minute yeah sounds good man um all right well he docks himself at least i was gonna dox him earlier but
at least you now know who you were if you didn't know now you know that was that was the homie
forged uh love to see it um all right so let's kick it off i'm gonna try to remember i know we
got light speed up here i'm gonna kick it to Lightspeed just because this is an OG cartel member.
It looks like they wanted to come up.
And then we also have one of the homies from Weirdo.
I don't know if you're on the team or if you're just representing as a community member.
Either way, I'd still love to hear from you.
And then I'll go to Puggles, Canixa, and Wildcats.
I apologize if I got the order wrong.
That's just kind of where my head is at at the moment.
And that's kind of where you are on the screen.
So for me, anyway.
And I already forgot who I said.
Oh, yeah, Lightspeed.
Lightspeed.
You got some shit you've been cooking over there.
This dude's been all over the place.
What's happening now?
Oh, my gosh.
I literally was up until 5 a.m. coding last night.
And then I woke up at 11 and started coding.
Like, I'm not even joking.
We're building a Telegram bot.
I know like Telegram bot doesn't sound very, you know,
impressive or anything, but we're building it in a way
that's like hyper secure, actually.
Like it's a wallet system with a tipping
and reining function, which you've probably seen,
but it also has like really robust meme contests built into it.
And anybody can call a meme contest and like start one.
Right now it's in collaboration
between Lightspeed and BaseChad.
Basically, I just saw how active they were
and we've done work together in the past and I
was like if there's anybody that I want to support in the space and sort of like collab with it's
probably them so we just sort of high-fived and and started doing this so once it goes live it'll
be on the Lightspeed channel and also on the base Chad channel. It supports the speed token and it supports the Chad token.
And the idea is that people will be able to very much trust the Telegram wallet that they have.
And it's all built like extremely like automated.
So it actually uses like two different types of encryption to keep your wallet safe. So it's encrypting not only your private key,
but also your password that protects your private key.
So if somebody gains access to your computer
or somebody hacks into your Telegram
or something like that,
it's gonna keep your wallet safe.
But you'll still be able to gain access to your private key
and import it into your MetaMask
or into whatever you're managing your MetaMask or into, you know, whatever you're, you know, managing your
wallets from outside of Telegram, which is like the biggest thing that was kind of stopping me
from from developing in Telegram was like, you know, it just feels kind of like this sort of
like walled garden where you're kind of like in there and like, you know, the tokens kind of go
in, but they don't really come out. And I was just like, how do I make it so that it's more integrated into the greater like cryptosphere
and also safe?
So we've built it in a way that we can expand on the spot too.
Like right now it does like tipping,
raining and the meme contests.
And, you know, it's just trying to like push engagement
and sort of like make it flow a little bit better
because like I see people posting memes
and I see people active in rating and stuff like that. but I don't really see people like generating huge amounts of new
content and I was just like how can I make it so that you know the tokens that people are tipping
maybe could be used to generate you know even more content and make it fun and make it so that
anybody can get involved and anybody can can create a new contest and have concurrent contests
and have it run really fast.
We're actually gonna load it onto like an AWS Lambda server,
which is one of the fastest available servers.
And we have all the functions running in a way that,
they can be called like thousands and thousands of times
without having any crashes and just like really bursty,
like sudden engagement and stuff like that.
So like we're building it in a way that I think is really like future forward and in a way that we
won't have to like go back and redesign it or anything like that. So it's literally like 2000
lines of code right now and I've done all of this in the last like four days. So I've just had this
like huge burst of energy just to like build. But yeah, that's what we're on about right now and i've done all of this in the last like four days so i've just had this like huge burst of energy just to like build um but uh yeah that's what we're on about right now where do you
get this energy from are you uh is it uh like energy drinks is it uh is it powder substance
adderall honestly i i think i get this energy from from god himself oh that's beautiful that's
beautiful that's how you took the degen you took the DGN right out of the conversation.
He's like, no, it's pure life.
Yeah, it's pure motivation and energy just to build for the sake of building,
build for the community because I love the community and I want to support them.
And also because I see other people doing it in sort of a, you know,
like they have good intentions probably, but maybe they're not, you know, taking all of the security factors into play and like keeping
people safe and making sure that if somebody does something that, you know, is unexpected,
that it's, you know, handled for and made sure that, you know, you don't just suddenly get
rugged on your wallet or something like that. Because like, who's going to actually move funds
into Telegram if they're not sure that it's encrypted, they're not sure that, you know,
somebody could hack them or something like that um so i really wanted to make
it secure so that people feel comfortable using it and then you know once it's you know battle
tested and uh we've used it for a long time and uh we can take on more partners and stuff like that
uh but at the moment we're just kind of like focusing on these two communities quick question
this might not make any sense but you're dev so right so
like maybe you'll make sense of it so you're saying like up until now no one's really made
a telegram bot that will allow you to easily like essentially um uh you know essentially port it to
your your metamask or coinbase or wherever wherever you keep track of your tokens at least that's why i understood and from what you said and so now that that's available that little piece of the tech
like i understand like the rain actually you might have to define raining because i know tipping and
all that but maybe raining you can elaborate on but um so would that actually work for like
all these trading uh wallets essentially that people are creating on Telegram?
Because wouldn't they have the same kind of issue?
Like if I have, let's say BonkBot or whatever,
and I'm using that to trade on Solana,
is that the same issue there?
Would that be a solution that they would look at as,
you know, sort of like how can we take it to where those can be shared
across different wallets is that am
i am i on the right path here with this thought or am i off off on my own um i think you're kind
of on the right track uh in general i would say that probably like banker bot and and some of the
more professional ones probably do take some of these things into consideration um but you know
your average like uh joe blows uh bot, and they say, you know,
you got to pay us $1,200 to use this bot, and then you get a lifetime license, but then you go into
it, and you realize that it has, like, a private key that it just DMs to you. Like, if you talk to
the bot, it'll just DM you your private key. Like, that, to me, is kind of unacceptable. So, I'm just
Well, that's what I think a lot of these trading bots do is basically what you're saying. So that's because
they're just trying to run quickly. Right. And I'm just like, how can I make this like the most
robust like foundation for like a bot infrastructure, right? So you load in the
tipping bot and then you have, you know, people generating wallets and then those wallets are
encrypted and then they make a password, you know, to sort of like hide their, their private key behind. And then the password gets
encrypted. Like it really needs to be like in a way that, you know, if somebody accesses it that
you're not intending, maybe they can get your public key and maybe they can see your balances
and stuff like that, but they can't actually just like steal your money. Right. And that's always what it comes down to is like, if you're going
to have a wallet, it should be safe. So at least that's my mentality. Um, and we do like a lot of
work with like chain link and stuff like that. So I try to take, um, you know, security, uh,
to be like a very important part of what we do, um, just to make sure that everybody feels trustworthy, trusted that when they're using our tech.
Dope. Yeah. The yeah, definitely.
I guess what I'm saying is we should next,
the next time you're on one of your Jesus binges, we can,
let's spin up a cartel trading bot on telegram that has that tech built into
it. So we can, we we can all we can all be safe
uh with some new does it does it uh you you mean for the nft no no no we could just we could just
make a general multi-chain you know uh trading bot that we can uh use these the this uh tech
you're building built we can we'll talk about it offline you know i know you've
you got like a hundred different things going on so don't let me don't let me add another one but
but yeah no i think that's kind of the next step is to to have this tipping bot and then make a
swap bot uh so that you can integrate with the same wallet as the tipping bot uh and then be
able to swap different tokens and swap back and forth and all that. And then after that,
it might be integrated into the swap bot,
but we're going to also have cross-chain bridging
with our Lightspeed token
because that's one of its native features.
So that's kind of the next phase of this.
So one of the reasons that I did kind of go so ham
on the tipping bot is because I wanted to use that
as the foundation for everything else that we're going to build on top. Sick, sick. Well, man, I love to hear it. Love to hear the
updates. Always cooking. He's got music stuff going on. He got the bots going on, the tokens.
Just got it. He's got everything, man. And he's doing it all on, you know, living on a prayer.
You know, he's doing it from just no energy drinks even,
like not even a little bit of caffeine, a coffee here and there.
I got a bubbly water and I do like basically mainline nicotine.
I'm not even joking.
At least you have some kind of something.
All right.
Like no one's perfect, right?
So all good.
Cool, man.
Well, I appreciate the update.
Another great cartel friend.
And basically, probably if I look at the stats, probably the one person that's been in the majority of the base spaces, like almost every single one.
Even though he said he was taking a break last week, he still came through.
So I'd love to see it.
Get some rest, though, man.
Don't just skip sleep altogether.
Get a little bit of rest.
All right.
I want to say hello to the legend Crypto Empress who joined the stage.
How's it going over there, Crypto Empress?
Hey, what's up, everyone?
I'm doing pretty good.
I just saw you guys kind of having a base space,
and I wanted to come and kind of listen to what everybody's building
and just kind of
connecting with the community and wanted to say hi to you guys. I see you grinding. I have so much
respect for everybody here in the panel that is always, always grinding every day. So yeah,
just want to give a big shout out to the base community. I see everybody always grinding and
also Seeker Base. I see everybody in there. So it's just kind of nice to connect with all of you guys. Yeah, we love to see you.
I think I see you in like every other chat that I get added to you as well. So I'm always like,
oh, what's up? Friendly face. It's always good to see someone that you know in a group chat. And
yeah, definitely look forward to, I guess, potentially meeting you in person on chain summit.
If you're going to be attending that,
I think from what I hear,
I've heard rumors that you'll be coming through,
which would be great.
We'll be talking about on chain summit,
by the way,
every other Monday.
So maybe connect with me on that so we can maybe have you come through and
hear some of the exciting stuff happening on
that end yeah absolutely yeah for sure I'm trying to uh coordinate my schedule for this August so
I'm already working on it so I'm definitely going to be joining you guys for a couple days um I just
get excited to kind of network with people in real life. I feel like it's a game changer and everybody should be kind of
trying to go to events like the Bitcoin conference,
like in conference base.
If you guys get an opportunity to just go, I'm telling you guys,
it's the best network you will ever have.
It's always better to do it in person.
So, yeah, I hope to see you all of you guys and connecting with you guys.
Super dope. That'll be August 23rd, I hope to see all of you guys and connecting with you guys. Super dope.
That'll be August 23rd, I believe.
I don't have the dates in front.
Maybe the 21st.
It's either 21st to the 23rd or the 23rd to the 25th.
I don't know.
Somewhere in that ballpark.
I should have that memorized by now, but it'll be around that time.
I'm not good with that kind of stuff if you haven't noticed.
Everyone here probably has noticed.
I mean, I think think in general being in crypto
we don't even know what day we are in every day is like an everyday like monday i don't even know
like today i had uh two meetings and i totally forgot today was wednesday so just to say the
least i and then people are like hey can you share your Calendly link? And I'm like, yeah, right.
First of all, I don't even like using the damn things because one time I did get a Calendly link that was totally a hack.
And they broke into my Twitter and launched a token, which nobody bought, so it was fine.
I think two people bought it because it was pretty obvious, a scam.
But I refunded those people because that's just
the kind of dude i am i don't i don't like people getting wrecked because i'm careless but a lesson
learned and so when people send me a county link every time i cringe and sometimes i click it
because i know them i trust them but i'm still like god damn i hate these things but yeah calendar
uh timelines uh day to day i i lose track. It's not my strength.
But yeah, definitely looking forward to OnChain Summit.
I hope we do get to see and meet you there.
It's a very good event for networking,
if that's what you're going for.
I mean, there'll be some nice content programming
from the base team itself.
But when it comes to just a relaxing, exciting,
relaxing on one hand and exciting on the other type of event, this is perfect because you got, you got like the lounge kind of atmosphere.
You got the, the, the casino night, which is a little more, you know, there's no like,
there's no clubbing or anything like that, but it's definitely a, definitely a good time.
But all right, on that note, got a few more projects I want to hear from.
The patient, as always, Mr. Puggles has joined the space.
Mr. Puggles, which I believe is kind of like a, is that kind of like a spin on Mr. Miggles?
Is that, with the pug, is that kind of what I'm getting here?
What's up, Quigs?
There's a Bama Mike here in the day of Mr. Puggles.
It's sort of a spin off from, know sort of like mr miggles but like a
dog version but we have a little arrow bud twist in our uh token as well where we're uh you know
getting donations and giving to animal charities that this past weekend we finally we told our
community if we hit like 250k market cap we make our first donation which was all you know uh made
from our nft, which sold out.
It was like $100.
We only did a small portion.
It was like 22 NFTs we just launched.
And we sold them fairly quickly.
And we had $100 that we donated to the Waggle Foundation up in Connecticut.
That was super cool finally giving back.
And now on the back end, I have my team member, a strong code there, cooking us more NFTs.
We're going to be launching here probably within the next month or so.
I mean, we're fairly new.
We've been on a we're on the base chain.
We're, you know, like about two, two and a half months old, whatever.
I mean, we launched off a wagon.
We went straight to 50K and straight down to 6K.
And we just been grinding ever since.
And we just hit an all time high a couple of days ago around 260K.
And I think we're sitting maybe around 170 190k or something like that you know it's uh it's exciting this is
the first time i believe i've been on this uh space now i've been around forage for over a year
now you know secret brace when he first started talking in basement i was like shit i don't know
who that is you know what i mean his uh voice is very very recognizable you know what i mean you
didn't have to tell me it was forged i knew it you know and uh man much respect to forge much
much respect to you too quigs allow me to speak in this uh you know this panel i mean there's some
killer ass projects here and uh it's loving this base you know it's all about you know creating
content and it's building your foundation which we're doing now our community
is growing stronger every day or larger every day and stronger every day and uh it's just exciting
you know to finally uh this is my first dev project finally you know finally taking lead
of something and it's exciting brother oh man i can feel the excitement through the through the
space man we love it um no that's super, super cool to hear that because you kind of shared that sort of journey.
And I think a lot of us have been there, done that, and seen tokens not pull out of it, right?
Like, you know, when you hit that first nosedive.
I mean, a lot of times if I don't get – I'm sorry if that sounds kind of like a typical KOL.
But if I don't find out early enough in the process, I just wait for that nosedive.
And that's when I start buying again.
And as long as I can see the communities out there doing their thing and like, you know, getting after it.
I'm not a trader, so I'm not sitting there watching the chart left and right and following everything.
But when I see that big dip and I'm like, well, is it the dev sold or somebody, something,
somebody sniped it or whatever happened and I watch for it.
And then when it bounces back, then, you know, you got a real, a real project, you know,
a group coming together.
I mean, that right there, you know, that dip you talk about from 50K to 6K, you know,
the first day or two, I was like, you know what, let us, you know, add a fuel to my fire.
And I just got out there, started, you know, let us uh you know add a fuel to my fire and uh i just got out there
started uh you know hitting all these x spaces i can sending out tweets left and right engaging
everybody anybody that i can and uh you know hitting these spaces are very very important i've
come across some uh great people i know the banks they have shine you know he's him and his team is
part of the puggles team on the back end he's been he reached out to me and we formed you know, he's him and his team is part of the Puggles team on the back end. He's been he reached out to me and we formed, you know, a little partnership type deal.
He's been helping us on the back end. And the central bros, Justin, he's reached out to me.
Then we got a Puggles by bot we use every once in a while.
And he's going to be doing some other things for us here within the next month or so.
I mean, there's been this like this people reach now. That's what base is all about.
You scratch my back and I scratch yours.
We shouldn't.
We shouldn't be slapping each other.
We should be locking arm by arm and just forming a, you know, strong ass line.
You know what I mean?
It's all us coming together, doing things for one another.
It's going to carry all of us further than anything can.
You know, it's always just take the higher road to be the best you can.
It's 100 percent.
Stay positive and manifest what you want. Dude was inspiring that was inspiring i love it man
do you got the visualization of people locking arms and everything man love it ford you wonder
that's what it's all about brother yeah i just wanted to sort of say like like bummer mike like
first of all he's got like this really wholesome way of speaking that like really
does kind of go straight to your you know your heartstrings or the or that inspirational element
of it but like the the the fact that you know because there are momentum traders and there has
been oh yes sentiment of like fear and like almost like hesitation people don't feel like they can
sleep on their bags on a new launch or whatever um and it's a testament to the amount of
work that you've put in like i i know it even from be prior to uh wag me as well you know like i i'm
intimately aware of the amount of effort that you've put in and i think it's a reflection of
that like i've i've come across like youtubers that have mentioned you you know and that's because
you've gone out there you've been visible you've been transparent right you know you've just you've you've you know yeah
like like and it does the meme is wholesome man like you know pugs that the cutest i mean they're
really cute dogs right they're like they're one of those things where um you know everybody loves
a pug um yeah even no i was to relate something to me in childhood.
Wait, wait, wait.
No, I got to burst you guys' bubbles, okay?
Because I got to talk about pugs for a second, all right?
Give me a second.
I'm talking about favorites, and I got to tell you about pugs.
When I was younger, a young man in my early 20s, I had one.
I actually had one.
Now, I'm 6'3", 250, right?
There's this little fucking pug.
He was a nice dog inside,
but when he got outside,
he would just run. He would just run
and run and run.
I just chased after this dog.
Just imagine, it was me and my buddy
who's also about the same size.
Two grown-ass men chasing this little pug
down the street.
I'd try to grab him and scoop him up and he would just roll and like i would like trip up
and fall and i'd be so mad so no i mean my love for pugs is it's fluctuated over the years let's
just say that i mean you know our ticker symbol puggles you know that's very very you know like
i told people when i first started hitting these spaces. I mean, I don't expect anybody or everybody to invest in Puggles.
But my main goal is everybody and anybody to know the name Mr. Puggles.
You know what I mean? So I believe we've been accomplished in that.
And it's been fun, dude. I can't wait to see where this goes.
And I know you're only good as a team in a community that you have so that was my
first goal build a badass team that surrounded me then to build a badass community around us you
know what i mean that's just going to push us all further you know so it's all working out so far
so good and it's exciting like we're only about two two and a half months old i guess shit i was
trying to he was talking talking about trying to remember stuff i was like fuck i don't you know how long we've been you know out it's it's the time has went by so fast you know
so i think you're having fun brother thank you for having me up there quigs and uh forge much
love brother man we got we got some uh we've been knowing each other for at least a year a little
bit over a year man much love to you and aeker Bass community and everybody else that loves Bass just as much as we do.
Thank you, Quigs.
That was Bass.
Bass, Mr. Puggles.
Thank you, sir.
I mean, give us a follow, and I'll follow back.
Like I said, you scratch my back, I scratch yours.
So anybody, just give us a follow, and I'll definitely follow back here in a little bit.
Can you guys hear me?
I'll hear you, sir. I got you. All right guys hear me? Yes, sir. I hear you, sir.
I got you. All right. All good, man.
Well, hey, we appreciate you coming through and sharing the
Puggles journey with us. First time,
I think, on the Spaces, and you did a great job. Killed it.
Yes, sir. Make sure you guys all shoot him a follow.
Pin something up, man, if you can.
I'll figure it out. I thought he was going to ask me.
I was like, shit, I don't think I've ever pinned nothing, but
I'm 51 years old here, so I'll do what I can.
Forge, pin something up for him because I can't do it right now.
I'm walking around with two phones.
I got two.
Help him out.
But I had no idea that Bamamike was 51 years old.
That's crazy.
You're older than me, man.
I thought I was old.
I was talking to one guy the other day
i believe uh he's a part of a team he's gonna help us do our discord server and uh we was talking he
goes how are you i was like i'm 51 he's like hell my dad's uh like 48 i was like oh shit
probably not gonna be the first or last time you've heard it yeah it won't then they're like
you got any kids i was like yeah
i got a 17 year old daughter i was like you got a picture of her i was like hell no block you
weirdo you know all right yeah all right thank you thanks quigs man i appreciate you much love
brother for what you're doing you know for uh the base community and uh man i can't wait to be on
again man thank you so much. Hell yeah.
Let's get – where did the weirdo guy go?
No, I'm here.
The weirdo guy's here.
You're always here.
I guess we always have at least one weirdo on the space.
At least I'm not the only one, so thank God for that, you know.
There's got to be always at least one weirdo in the space.
But no, hold on. You're 6'3", 250.
Well, not anymore.
I've lost some weight now.
So I'm down to like 220 right now.
So I'm doing pretty good.
I'm losing weight, trying to get a little healthier, you know, in my 40s.
You know, it's time for me to
you know think about the long run and stop stop with all the energy drinks man each one of these
facts is making me respect you more you're you're taller you're older and i didn't know you were in
your 40s either like yeah i should i should speak to you with more reverence is what i'm saying
yeah respect your elders your base let's launch base elders. Yeah, I respect my elders.
I want to launch it.
It makes me want to arm wrestle him.
I don't know why.
No, actually,
I can't arm wrestle him.
I got a torn rotator.
I got this rotator cuff injury.
I can't do the arm wrestling anymore.
I've arm wrestled too many
of my friends in that exact scenario,
and I've damaged the rotator to the point where I can't even sleep on my side.
I just lay there in pain and cry about it at night, but I'm okay.
I probably got to get surgery.
I don't want to.
It's all good.
All right.
So on that note, this face has taken a strange direction, so let's try to get surgery. I don't want to. It's all good. All right. So on that note, the space is taking a strange direction.
So let's try to get it back on track.
We actually got to wrap up pretty soon because we've got some other folks.
I know, CoinMerge, you got to get off here soon.
I also have a life outside of spaces I got to attend to.
So I do have to wrap it up shortly.
But I have a few folks I definitely want to get the mic to,
especially like Wildcats, who's been up been up here I think the whole space just chilling hopefully
didn't fall asleep but if Wildcats you want to share share what you got going on or I don't even
actually don't even know if you have a project I'm sorry but feel free to unmute and tell us what's going on man or woman whoever cat cats wild cats they fell asleep
i feel terrible that's like the worst feeling as a host when you're like man i made this person wait
all this time and then they're just gonna be on on mute okay all right and then we lost a couple
other people i did i just didn't do a very good job tonight, guys. I'm not gonna lie. I didn't rotate the space very well. I feel terrible.
You did a great job, though.
I don't know. I feel bad sometimes. Because I said open mic and then, of course, half the people are going to be in my DMs like, I waited an hour. I'm sorry. I'm sorry because we got forged on the space. I didn't plan for that.
Yeah, yeah.
Blame me, blame me.
He said you did a great job, so I flipped it.
I had to turn it on him.
Okay, all right.
Who else we got up here that needs to go?
Oh, we got the homies from Tentacle, who I know,
I can't remember the exact market cap you guys were at the last time you were on here,
but it was like super, super low.
And we heard from your project, but I've heard you've been cooking over there ever since the space.
Tell me what's going on. How's it going?
Oh, Quigs, we have been cooking like a fake Pokemon shit on base, fam.
I am bullish on this Blue MF-er.
So, yes, man, when you brought me on the space right, you gave me that opportunity.
It was like
Bullish so I was like let him go like I was like you have League of Legends, okay
But yeah, no man since you had me on the space man
We were we were at like a sub 3K market cap.
We ran all the way up to 16K, chilling around 8K right now.
We are absolutely building and cooking.
I'm getting bullish as I'm thinking about what we're building right now.
And I got to be honest, man.
We are out here getting some Pokemon trainers.
Bullish on Tentaclil, fam.
When I look around, i see a lot of people
building but when i look at this fake blue mfer i see a true blue chip in the making why because
he's fake but he wants to be real on base the meta is simple as that this thing is a four channel
legendary meme same roots as pepe i'm not gonna say we're gonna be big as pepe but god damn it
we're gonna be based like pepe is and so listen i at the end of the day we are building out staking
contracts to be able to earn other tokens right now you can earn two different tokens just from
staking tentacryl you don't even have to lock it up and before that uh you know we just have our
tentacryl game that you can just get onboarded and you can
actually earn while playing that game take a screenshot of the pokemon you catch and we will
absolutely drop you some tentacle based on how hard it was to catch the rarity of it you know
what i'm talking about catch the urn get bullish out here qu. We want to be Pokemon Masters at the end of the day.
I want all my base heads to hold their Pokeballs tight because we are going to the moon.
I don't know what else to say than be a Pokemon Master at heart.
Collect them all, catch them all, build your back, hold them strong, and we are taking this to Valhalla.
Pokemon real recognize this little blue MF
as a real Pokemon one day, or in the next life.
I don't care, we are gonna send this
till the wheels fall off, let's go.
I'm Bullish Quigs, I don't mean to get like that bro,
but when that song comes on, I just turn on my hat,
I flip it backwards, and I just go out
into the wilderness trying to catch them all.
I appreciate you always
giving me the opportunity here but get bullish man there's a lot cooking in the background come
check out the tg come check me out i am absolutely just spilling alpha out left and right but listen
i'm just gonna sit back down because i'm really bullish on building on base. Thank you so much, Quigs.
Okay, so why is it that, like, the project with the lowest market cap has, like, the best energy and pitch?
Like, how does that happen?
Even came in on a night where Forge was here, and I think he hit it, man.
That was a pretty... Bro, Kay Cooks, bro.
I love Kay's energy.
I swear to God, like, I wait for him.
I kid you not, when I saw him up, I was, like i wait for him i was i kid you not when i saw him up i
was like waiting for what he was gonna bring he does some legendary like shills and energy bro
like it's not even like it's it's more than that like bro actually is in like in like invested
emotionally in tentaculate bro i tried buying it the other day and i got a little bit confused
because it's actually on a v4 um contract so it's a little
bit like not tricky in that sense but like there's a little bit more that you might have to do um i
did manage to get a bag but i love k's energy bro it's it's unmatched because bro loves this
mean and and that's that's why have you know wait how does that how what do you mean you had to do
more because it was a v4 what do you what does that well well i use i use those bots that you
mentioned earlier that probably don't have the same level of security that light speed is
building you know i'm a little bit like that right so i use those bots and some of those bots don't
support v4 um and so you know you either have to go and find a bot that does but then obviously you
run the risk of engaging with a product that probably doesn't have the same level of security
because maybe it's like a smaller company or smaller devs or whatever and there's just that added element or
you have to go through um you know deck screen and personally i haven't used um well sorry deck
screen i think it's gecko terminal you have to use for like actual v4 information like deck
screener doesn't support it fully yet um and so yeah it's a little bit more trickier to to get to but
once you get it like obviously it's a you know it's a new contract it's a safe contract it is an
ape store launch so um you know it is safe um but yeah man i'm bullish on um tentacryl's i didn't
i think i remember this now i didn't realize because i thought that uh it launched on ape
store but then it did it uh relaunch so there's
no bonding there's no bonding curve when it comes to the v4 tokens uh they launch straight to decks
um but obviously they operate different i don't know the differences between v3 and v4 something
about hooks and stuff like that i don't know right it's basically like um you're putting a hook like
so that you can add smart contracts like through the, which is actually pretty freaking sweet.
once it all,
I think becomes one of the,
on that note,
thank you,
Tentaquil.
I do have to also,
I said it earlier.
I'm at sort of the top of the space.
as we're kind of winding down,
I also want to mention,
these projects you're hearing from tonight,
some of them are in the base cartel.
Some of them are coin merge projects.
On an open mic night, they're projects coming from everywhere.
Obviously, you heard Tentaquils tied into Ape Store and the network there, and we love that.
But always do your own research.
Any of these tokens, from Miggles to Tentaquil that you heard from tonight, it's a risk.
You've got to always mitigate and know your risk levels, uh that's all i'm going to say on that note uh but you know what it's
pretty easy damn easy to 10x a 8 000 market caps so so if you're a dj in that heart that might be
the one that you you have to go check out later but uh and if you like pokemon i guess or 4chan
or both because you probably if you like pokemon you might like 4chan, or if you like 4chan, you might like Pokemon.
You're probably falling into a pretty
big, sort of, overlapping
group of people.
I got a question around that.
What's your favorite Pokemon?
Are you asking me?
I'm asking
Tentacle, the Pokemon guy.
Oh, yeah. It's definitely Tentacle, but, the Pokemon guy. Oh, yeah, yeah.
It's definitely Tentacquill, but if we were going like real, real Pokemon,
I used to have like 100 copies of Bulbasaur when I was a kid.
So I would definitely have to say it was that little green in my fur.
Yeah, I can't say Tentacquill was ever one of my favorites, man. I feel like that Pokemon in Gen 1 was pretty bad.
But at the end of the day, maybe that's what makes the meme fun.
And yeah, I liked Arcanine, Mewtwo, whatever.
Call me generic.
Oh no, dude.
Growlithe, bro.
That was like my pup, bro.
When I couldn't have a dog, I had Growlithe at the end of the day, dude.
That was my solace, man.
I actually have a question really quick for Tacle actually yep um i didn't want to let you leave without telling us how to
actually buy tentacle because forge mentioned there's like a bit of a trick to it so if you
can expand on that just really quickly that'd be great yeah no, no, no, definitely. And so there are two surefire ways to go ahead and interact with the V4 pool.
That's importing the token contract into MetaMask directly and using their swap.
It will actually swap directly the same way it would do in ApeStore.
And that would be the other option too, just going directly in ApeStore and being able
to just swap the V4 token there.
And you will get an accurate number on that as well.
I heard through the grapevine, some others have used like, like Phantom wallet and it
works as well through their swap.
But I have not played with it enough to know for sure.
But those two ways definitely definitely MetaMask, Wallet.
I've done it a lot of times just to make sure
that I can confidently say it does give you
the accurate amount of tokens.
Or just going directly on ApeStore
and just utilizing their platform.
I love it, it's simple and it's really easy to use.
But yeah, no, those are the two ways.
Thank you so much.
We got the homie Toadie up here.
Toadie Hawk, legend, base builder.
What's going on over there?
I heard you had a game or something going on.
Yo, Quigs.
How's it going?
Oh, man. We're just having another based evening.
Yeah, I feel like I walked into a Pokemon convention, and I'm unprepared.
I was getting ready to say, my kids play Pokemon.
My brother, younger brother, could probably talk about Pokemon.
But I am just past that I could name a couple of them, but I'm not that guy.
My oldest daughter, she's 14.
Just the other day, she was out actually playing Pokemon Go randomly.
And I was like, I didn't know you guys still did that.
She's like, yeah, randomly. I pull it out and play it still so so what
are you are you a pogs guy is that what you're trying to say yeah i have my pogs still to this
day i have them i have my oj in the slammer my shredders i got the whole stack man i got it
and i know the pog team man because they're uh you know they're on base i think too now
i'm not i'm not trying to say i had the Pog arena, but I'm not trying to say that either.
Everyone's like, what's a Pog?
You don't know what Pogs are, then you missed a great time in history.
They don't know Pogs.
They only know Poggers to this generation.
It's all good.
Yeah, I'm glad to be here.
I'm sorry I missed you.
We've been missing each other.
Last Wednesday, I was just arriving at Farcon, the Farcaster Convention in New York, and I was actually doing, I was at karaoke,
and actually, believe it or not, I tried to find a quiet place that I could join, and it was just
a fool's errand, so I couldn't get on. And then today, I had a volleyball game right at the same
time, but I'm here, so I'm glad I could jump on and chat with you for a little bit about what
I'm building before you sign off for the night.
Of course, man.
Yeah, let everyone know what you've been doing.
You're welcome to talk about both the new endeavor and kind of what you've done in the past.
I'm sure people would love to hear about either one or both.
Yeah, so I was on your space, was it like three weeks ago now?
I think that went on last year.
At least a month or so, yeah.
Was it a month? Man, time flies.
But I talked a little bit about Zero Rights Media,
which is basically my open source media collective.
We do content about Ethereum
and all sort of Ethereum-adjacent ecosystems like Base
and essentially just try to be educators
in a space that desperately needs them
and do a lot of experimentation around on-chain native revenue
and try to help
other creators like us to become more self-sustaining as well with on-chain revenue.
So that's kind of the background. Most recently, though, what I've been working on hard is a new
mini app. I don't know how familiar you and your audience are with Farcaster mini apps, but they're
pretty cool. New primitive. You can essentially make an app. You can kind of think of think of it like if you remember like farmville on facebook back in the day it's kind
of like that that's a vibe you can do a little mini app that actually lives right in the feed
so if you're thinking of x as it compares to farcaster would be like you're scrolling your
x feed and you just see a game or a or you know a you know an app that lets you collect an nft or
these types of things right in the feed so that's what mini apps are. And I decided to try my hand at doing my first mini app.
First started trying to vibe code it and then sort of decided not to go that route
because there was going to be transactions involved.
So I decided to do a different type of vibe coding where I did the vibing
and I let a dev do the coding.
And we made a little mini app that is being accepted pretty well,
getting a lot of hype.
It's called Better Mint.
And the idea of Better Mint is like,
are you familiar, Quiggs, with like how Boost.xyz and Layer 3 work
for incentivizing mints?
It's not probably enough to talk about it.
So feel free to kind of give a little bit of...
Okay, well, those protocols, to put it simply, those protocols basically make it possible for creators to put meme coins into a pool and then use those meme coins to incentivize minting behavior. So if you go to somewhere like pods.media, which is an on-chain podcast platform, shout out pods, great platform, great team.
podcast platform, shout out pods, great platform, great team. If you go there, you can actually
sort of mint my podcast or mint another person's podcast and you'll automatically get, you know,
say 80% of the mint cost back that you paid in ETH. You'll get it back in like whatever meme coin
hire or, you know, whatever meme coin you choose, you know, dog and me, whatever meme coin,
tentacle maybe, who knows. so that's kind of how they traditionally
would work um but what i try to do is like take that idea and turn it on its head and like add a
little bit actually add a lot of dopamine to the equation so basically the way it works is you open
the mini app uh whenever it's open it's like once every two days we open it for a round
so we get different content creators that we're partnering with it shows you We open it for a round.
So we've got different content creators that we're partnering with.
It shows you a podcast or something that they've minted.
You can collect editions right there in the app with your wallet on Farcaster.
And then for every edition you collect, you get a ticket to spin this neon wheel.
There's sun sound and whatnot.
You spin the wheel, and you could win up to 100x back your mint cost in Meme. So it just adds like a little bit of, I've been calling it like content casino energy.
And yeah, so far we've had five different rounds over the past week or so.
And we keep opening the game for like basically two hours
or when the meme coin or token pool is expired.
And so far it's been about like 30 40 minutes every single
time the meme coins are all gone people are just like you know stepping over themselves to to try
it so yeah that's what i've been building uh it's been fun and definitely you know why i wanted to
jump on here is just because i know you've got a lot of great builders a lot of creators who come
out to the space and listen back to it and so if any of them are hearing this and they'd like to
you know jump in my DMs
and have a piece of their content featured,
you know, I'm looking for good creators
who want to do that.
And also for any token projects
that are looking for interesting ways
to use, you know, tokens that you have
perhaps in your treasury
that you can't really do anything with,
you know, like a lot of protocols and meme coins,
you've got these tokens that you,
maybe you got them from LP rewards or maybe it was part of an allocation, but you're
not going to go and dump them on your community, hopefully. Hopefully that's not how you roll.
So this kind of arrangement is sort of win, win, win, win in the sense that the token
projects can basically contribute them in exchange for distribution and basically exposure in the app.
And, you know, it doesn't really, you don't have to worry about dumping on their own community
and it allows us to support creators.
I think we've already made 1.2 ETH in a week for the four creators that we've featured in the app.
So that's Betterment and I'll pass it over to you if you have any questions.
Well, that's sick.
Does that work with, so basically the
I guess like the NFT side of it,
does that work with like
an actual like say like a collection
type mint or is it only for like one of one
or how does that part work?
So the way we built it just for simplicity for the
MVP is we just tied it into the contracts for
pods.media uh for a number of reasons so the first the first creators that we've been partnering
with have been people who who do podcasts uh but definitely want to expand it to other creators
as well um the one that we haven't quite figured out how to tie it into yet is zora because as you
know they use erc20 and not nft so we haven't quite figured out
how to tie that all together but that's on the roadmap too uh but for now like we're going to
be looking at adding platforms like highlight and uh and you know other sort of nft platforms where
it's pretty straightforward to to collect from them uh or even if you have like a custom contract
that you're using we can probably tie that in as well that sounds yeah it sounds
amazing like I just wonder because the the way it's set up now sounds like
you're getting a lot of traction on I just wonder if like if there were ways
to tie like you know collection mints you know into something like that'd be
pretty sick to you like if you're gonna launch yeah like if you're gonna launch
like a you know a generative collection you know a mint um it'd be kind of interesting
to see if there's a way to tie that into into what you're you're building there
yeah anything's possible in code uh it's just a matter of yeah you just have to see if the
economics work for it the nice thing about pods is that if you've never used it before, when you collect an addition on pods, it costs 0.007,
so it's like $1.26 or something like that to collect an addition.
And it's nice and simple.
Pods takes a cut, and then the rest goes to the creator.
So it's very easy for us to just sort of do a split with the creator
and make sure the creator is going to make money on every single mint.
And then from the user's perspective, I mean, for them, it's just like, it's just gamifying
the rewards piece.
You know, basically, you know, I always say like, if you go into a casino and the worst
case scenario is that you walk out of there having supported a bunch of creators, that's
not, that's not so bad.
So it's like even, even losing at this game is not that bad.
You're still getting the NFT that you, you know, that you minted.
But on the, you know, on the upper side upper side you might you might actually walk away with like 100x jackpot which is always
a nice little dope dopamine hit so yeah okay yeah man that's super sick and you know i love what
what you've built with um you know with with the media project and as well as your presence out
here we appreciate you showing up let's get another let's get you up in another space where
we can get you up earlier too and maybe uh kind of dive a little deeper into it but definitely uh it also pins something up if
you can if you're not oh you already did never mind uh so you pin something up everyone go check
that out check out the uh woody's bill that sounds so dope uh looking forward to seeing uh to seeing
that on the timeline and uh yeah man hope you're staying safe it sounds like you're like running through the
streets of some busy area there so be careful look both ways i am joining from the car but i'm not
driving oh you're driving okay that's that's not i was just pushing you walking around like
just crossing roads without looking man i was nervous for you
no i thought that isn't that it you're supposed to join spaces from the loudest, weirdest place
That's the alpha, man
If you want to be remembered, be the guy that gets hit by a car
Man, we have been killing it tonight
We got Flannel Donut up here
Probably be wrapping up shortly after that
I do see a few homies down there
If we didn't get to you tonight, if you requested up if you came up and you didn't get a chance to speak probably be wrapping up shortly after that. I do see a few homies down there.
If we didn't get to you tonight, if you requested up,
if you came up and you didn't get a chance to speak,
hit my DMs.
You know, I'm a fair person.
I'll try to do my best to get you up earlier in the next space that we do, next open mic.
Or if you, of course, want to be a sponsor or a guest
that gets highlighted during the space,
hit up the CoinMerge account as well as myself.
We can definitely get you worked in.
But yeah, on that note, Flannel Donut, the homie.
You got something cooking over there.
What's going on?
How you doing?
How's it going?
Besides Donut, she's cooking some other stuff too.
What do you got?
Well, we just wrapped our final episode of our stop motion animated show, You Play Too Much, featuring Fred Armisen, which was pretty cool.
It was awesome to bring his talent, his voice talent over to the blockchain.
And the show was directed by Emmy-winning Rob Shaw.
by Emmy-winning Rob Shaw,
So that was pretty awesome as well.
so that was pretty awesome as well.
And yeah, we've kind of rolled off of that last week
and into this week.
It's been pretty insane,
but we've got another short film to drop.
I'm thinking we'll do some of that next week,
and we've got three total to, to drop and then we're
in production on another. Um, it's kind of, it's kind of crazy over here. So we're just kind of
going, going nuts with that, but, um, we've been using Zora for most of it. Honestly, it's, it's been fun to transition from, you know, all the other
places that we've relied upon for, for dropping content over to there pretty much fully, not,
you know, exclusively, but definitely, you know, the habit has been in the past to wake up and
look at what, like Instagram or Twitter first thing,
and now it's like Zora, and what's the, you know, what am I going to post on Zora, and what are we
going to, you know, tease out in terms of like story, and we've just got so much cool stuff to
share. It's, you know, behind the scenes, interviews, you know, the movies themselves. And yeah, we're just doing our thing. And we've got a
backlog of really cool stuff to push out and probably decades ahead to keep going with. So
it's been a fun ride. That's amazing. Yeah, definitely a perfect fit with Zora.
Everything you guys are doing there and bringing on Shane, I think Zora is a good home.
I don't know.
Have you had a chance, by the way, to connect with Toady, who was just up here speaking about what he's doing?
Because I feel like that would be another good one if you haven't connected.
Yeah, we should definitely talk.
It seems like there's some crossover for sure.
I will say, like, I totally agree.
I mean, just Zora is, it's many things to many different people in such a short period of time.
But it's a dream come true as far as a distribution platform for filmmakers and, you know, animators.
So we're stoked to be on there.
We're excited to, we've got, we've got some super short form content, you know, that's like
five to 10 second stories, you know, that we'll be rolling out and then longer form stuff.
And then my other company, which is in the space to pattern integrity films, has a longer form stuff that's
that's not necessarily animated. So it's, you know, lots of documentary work on that side. And,
you know, just Zora's just been such a great home to put all that stuff, honestly. And we're,
we're building an audience and people are still trading. I mean, we dropped the, I think the first time I was on your space, Quigs, was when I dropped the first episode for You Play Too Much.
And it was really helpful and wonderful that Bass, you know, shared it and Zora shared it out.
But like, I wake up in the morning and that episode is still trading to this day.
And I just think that's so wonderful.
And, you know, like you don't see that, you know, like five or six weeks later, you wouldn't see somebody still liking your post on Instagram, right, that you made six weeks ago.
So it's like it's cool.
So as people continue to to find us and find other people that are producing content on Zora.
It's just, it's fantastic. They, you know, they might come in, in the middle of something that
you're making and you can, you know, coin a gift or something from, from your show or a snippet.
And, you know, we've been doing that with our stuff too. And it's just been successful. So we're happy. I love Zora and I'm excited to see what they continue to build for sure. And Toadie, yeah,
let's hook up. For sure. I think you're on the base media call that I was on recently. So definitely
made it. I think I sent a message to you actually. So balls in your corner. Oh, through telegram.
Okay. I have to, I have to. actually, so. Balls in your corner. Oh, is it? Oh, through Telegram? Okay, I have to.
Somewhere.
Somewhere, but we should definitely jam.
Okay, for sure.
Yeah, I think that'd be a good fit.
I mean, you know, obviously anything dealing with media on chain right now, it's, I always
say this, like, you know, I think it's some cliche at this point, but, you know, we're
early, right?
So, you know, anything we can do to collaborate and share resources and network at this stage is is a big a big yes in my in my
book and I always love it when I'm on spaces and people connect and do stuff
together so you know hopefully you guys can you know kind of work something out
that'd be dope I know also I connect to you with Kevin from on chain summit not
sure if you're allowed to share anything about that, but hopefully we'll see you there in San Francisco. Yeah. And you might, you might know something in
a couple of weeks that'll be fun to talk about. But yeah, I believe I promised to have our team
show up in like matching tracksuits. And dude, I had a call today with, so fun story.
I was like, okay, you know, tracksuits are cool and all, but like, I kind of want those
like old school, like, like souvenir jackets, you know, they're like silk or satin or whatever.
And they got the cool, like Japanese design on the back.
It's like, it's like a, like a Japanese, I'm trying to, Sukujan is what it's called, the coat itself. And so I was looking
for those online and like, first of all, they're super vintage and expensive. But the problem I was
running into is that they already had like emblems and stuff on the back. And we have a
designer who's like completely created this insane emblem for us to get embroidered on the backs of these jackets.
So, you know, I've really gone to great lengths at this point.
Did you talk to Kevin about any of this?
Because he's got a whole design, you know, apparel fashion arm that he's got under his control.
So maybe talk to him about what you're doing because he might be able to kind of help you guys manufacture some of that stuff because he's got the hook up there.
But, yeah, that sounds sick.
I might be a little late because I've got this woman who's in Portland.
She owns the Portland Garment Factory, and she's, like, totally on it with creating these things from scratch for us.
So I'm like, wow, we're really going there.
Oh, my gosh.
That's actually really sweet.
Either way, it's going to look pretty fun.
And we'll all have a good laugh.
And, you know, these will cost me much, much more than I wanted to spend.
But it's worth it, right?
So you've got to look dope.
Hey, worst case is you got something badass
you can wear for the rest of your life and tell stories about and uh you know it is what it is
you can't waste money that way you can't um all right yeah if the company goes under in a month
like it i'm wearing that jacket until you know right into my grave well it'll still be cool. I mean, and then, yeah, you're good. So no matter what
happens. Cool, guys. Well, hey, everybody, it's been a wonderful space tonight. I think we've
heard from a lot of wonderful projects and great base builders, heard some great alpha, some good
stories, heard about basements. I gave you guys some like, you know, history lessons about Oklahoma
basements versus other Midwest states. I hope that was
helpful. If you're planning a move to the Midwest, if you need more advice on that, I'll tell you
not to do that unless you're just trying to save money on taxes or get away from pollution or
something weird. But on that note, Funk, I don't know if you're still here. You might have had to
dip out. I don't know. Did you want to unmute, say bye? If not, it's okay.
Yeah, I think he might have had to bounce. It's okay.
Forged, I invited you as a co-host. Did you have any final words or thoughts you wanted to share tonight?
No, man. I've just enjoyed jamming with everyone.
And I think what I'm really inspired by, I'll try and keep this as brief as possible,
is that it's not so much about the price section.
It's more about people coming on chain and doing things so whether it is a creative studio you
know releasing um you know video content and making use of zora as a platform or a developer
um you know someone who's developing games for communities to participate in um or just people
like rallying around a good meme you know So all of this stuff that's happening,
I think that's a really good indicator of sentiment
as opposed to the overall market cap.
And I'm really inspired by what's come up today.
Yeah, man.
Don't invite me on too much, though, Quigs,
because they're all going to end up going on
for 20 minutes longer than you want them to be.
We're a full 45 minutes past my goal tonight.
That's okay, though, because it was worth it.
As always, it's been a pleasure.
It's been based as hell or as fuck or whatever you want to say.
At the end of the space, if you're still listening, by the way,
shout out to you.
Thank you for joining the space tonight, hanging out with us.
If you're listening after the space, we appreciate you as much or more
for coming through and hearing all these great, wonderful builders. Hopefully, you all found some
value in the space. Hit me up on the Telegram site or on Twitter if you have a project you want to
get some more eyeballs on and bring up onto the spaces or into the cartel. Of course, that door
is always open. But on that note, I think we're ready to wrap it up.
Shout out to all the speakers tonight, legends.
We'll see you next week.
