Thank you. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! I'm going to go. so Thank you. . I'm going to go. Let's go!
Hell yeah! Four fucking years in the club!
Absolutely love it, guys. Today's episode will be...
Maybe overhyped. Let's call it overhyped.
But we still have two more minutes of intro, so drop a GM in the comments.
Share with us when you join the club.
Request, I will get you on stage. we have so many legends here i read so many posts
from you guys how did you end up in this club how you minted for uh something like 200 dollars right
oh my god and if you are new to club 100 check website og.boardaprclub.com og.boardaprclub.com
because then you can see how it looked like back in 2021, right?
But we still have two more minutes.
And we will bring those memories back, MFers! All the crazy shit I did tonight, those will be the best memories.
I just want to let it go for the night, that will be the best therapy for me.
All the crazy shit I did tonight.
Those would be the best memories.
I just want to let it go for tonight.
That would be the best therapy for me.
Hey, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Hell fucking everybody, but one more fucking thing because I see so many MFers from LA here. Oh
My fucking god guys, you need to cheer better, but I have I have also like a short snippet for you. I'm sorry guys
I'm sorry guys. I'm sorry
Only for a moment and the moment's gone All my dreams
Has been for my eyes and curiosity
You gotta be back in October, November 2020
364 And I know Tino's already...
He's afraid what's gonna come because I had like 15 coffees and 5 black teas.
GMGM, everybody. I can't believe it's been 4 years.
This morning, today, I minted my ape. And I know a lot of you MFs too, right? Especially with the higher numbers, if your ape starts, I guess like 5,000, 4,000, something like that, it was minted on 1st of May, right?
So I wasn't early, I was quite late, but I was still earlier than most of, maybe even most of you, MFRs.
Most of Tito, maybe earlier than Tito, right?
But guys, what a crazy ride.
We gotta be talking about,
we gotta celebrate like crazy.
We gotta have a great time today
because we deserve to celebrate, right?
We also have special guests today.
We have Poser, we have Hoarder,
we have Guccita joining us, talking about what they are doing, what they are cooking, right? Because we've been
here always to support builders, especially builders from BAYC club, right? So absolutely
love it. Can't wait. It's going to be crazy. Yeah. Damn, guys, what's going on with basketball?
Yeah, Hoarder. Oh my God, man. Crazy, crazy.
I don't know how Philly is doing.
I'm not going to ask, probably.
I had to switch to another Californian team, right?
So let's go, Golden State.
Warriors, let's fucking go, baby.
You know, BAYC. Yeah, club member you know bayc club member i'm not sure i'm not sure isn't rudy gobert and i know you probably don't like that name um you know especially gene
and baron uh isn't he also byc i don't know but we have many players and i saw a few man i think
wasn't it rudy gobert onpeFest 2022 in New York?
Probably, probably, right?
But, Tino, how are you doing, man?
Are you also celebrating?
Today is a bank holiday here because of the bayc of course
so it was uh i would like to say holy shit bro we have guys we have holidays on first of may
and it all started just because of byc mint so we don't have to work on first love it you know yes
yes uh so yeah so i had a really active day, had a big workout in the morning and then a long hike the whole day.
So I'm very energized from the nature and from everything.
And I was really excited about today's show because I know how many teas and coffees Grateful had.
And it's always just amazing amazing that's the best energy boost
so i'm super pumped up and uh i think it's gonna be an amazing vibe how are you doing grateful i
have to ask you first bro what were you doing on friday 30 on my first 20 21 bro what were you doing
on my first 20 21 so the truth is i was uh i was already not very deep, but I was pretty deep researching through NFTs.
And I have to admit, I was focusing a lot on the VFriends community at that time.
So I think it was before the mint of VFriends, which started, I think, 5th of 5th.
So I was preparing for that that was my first real nft before uh i minted one uh artistic nft that uh
from from an artist that i really admired and uh i bought that one from him that was my very first
and uh i remember writing to my friend uh who is now a club member as well i'm like dude this uh these board apes that's uh
they have something special because i i also was uh following uh for a long time uh bobby hundreds
and i know they did uh the collab later uh with bayc and i i i run and bro they feel really special
it's uh but it's out of my out of my price range right now because I need to save some ETH for the V-Friends.
So, of course, now looking back, it feels different because it was a completely different time.
But everything is how it's supposed to be.
And I had the BYC on my radar.
And, of course, we're going to talk about it later but uh i uh i you know like i became friends with so many apes uh before even
being an ape which uh which is really strong because uh i think uh that says a lot because
we're uh we don't act like an exclusive club uh right now with the ape chain, you can see that a lot, that even people who do not rock apes or mutants,
they do feel like being a part of the ecosystem, and I think that's very strong.
Let's go, Legend. What a story, man.
But I remember we had a call for the first time, and I think it was like February 2022 something like that right we didn't know each
other like we met before but we just didn't know about each other right so yeah it's absolutely
crazy man I also share my story a lot of people heard about it it's it's insane how you you know
a lot of people try to plan stuff, right?
They are like, oh shit, I organize my calendar and I do this.
You can do whatever you want, man.
But look, suddenly we sit in here talking to apes here on stage in the audience, right?
Meanwhile, Rita is having a huge party in his studio, in his company, right?
Drinking champagne, probably also with Herman from Improbable.
But it's absolutely crazy. You never, like you can always connect the dots only backwards, as Steve said, right? And this
is so true because, man, I got into NFTs 2017, man. I read an article on a local tech magazine
about CryptoKitties. I didn't know what I was doing, man. I set up the Metamask.
I somehow sent ETH there and I minted CryptoKitties. And then in 2021, I found out about NBA Top Shirts,
guys. And it brought me back to Twitter and it was absolutely crazy. It was madness. Everyone
was talking basketball. People were flipping cards for tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands
of dollars. I was like, what the hell is going on? Yeah, people are doing crazy moves, bro. Like they were
they were flipping like Lebron James cards for CryptoPunks. Oh my God, rest in peace, rest in
peace. And then I figure out about or find out about Crypto.com and I think there was a first
Snoop Dogg's mint. I don't even know what's happening with that, right?
And second ETH NFT that I've ever bought was this BYC into the same wallet that I set up in 2017 or something like that.
Unfortunately, I had just 200 bucks for one day.
Why didn't I mint like 10 of them yeah I
got just one but then I bought three more which is fine I would say but man absolutely crazy journey
and looking back it was game changer it changed the course of my life 100% so I'm so grateful
and I can't wait to hear your stories, guys, because such a crazy journey.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
I'm not going to let you.
We never heard the origin story of Grateful Ape.
So we know how you meant it.
But when did it got to you?
Like, OK, so now I'm going to call this Abe a grateful Abe
or I'm going to run this brand around it.
What was the story behind? I don't know.
He's starting with a hit right now, right away.
Yeah, bro. Alpha. Play the alpha sound.
So it's a really funny story, right?
Because around 2020, 2021,
I was reading about like digital and virtual identities
that you don't have to be as your real name
That you can build like digital avatar
I was reading about it 2020, 2021,
I think from Naval or what's the name of the other guy?
You know him, Balaji, right?
Yeah, yeah. and when everyone started because it was like like a huge wave everyone was starting uh to
switch their PFPs on Twitter for apes right and I was thinking about like this is amazing
opportunity to actually build a virtual identity around this ape, right? And I was immediately thinking about the name.
And because I got into NFTs, I would say because one accident that I almost died in late 2020, early 2021.
I was like, man, I'm really grateful that I'm here, to be honest, that I made it.
So this ape should be a reminder to me and to everyone
that we should keep in mind that nothing
is granted. You can lose everything
immediately, instantly. You never
know what's going to happen tomorrow, right? So you should be
that's where the name Grateful
Ape was born, bro. What do you think
about it? And you know what's funny?
From the thought that I want to have a name, it took me 30 seconds to come up with the Grateful Ape was born, bro. What do you think about it? You know what's funny? From the thought that I want to have a name,
it took me 30 seconds to come up with the Great Flav name.
It was zero research, nothing.
I was just, this is it, and I went with it.
Were the apes on Twitter back then already picking their names
and sharing the stories and this kind of stuff.
I don't know when I renamed, to be honest.
Not sure because, man, everything went so quickly back in 2021.
You mean you went to the police and changed your ID for Grateful Eight and so on, right?
Yeah, like the FBI pushed me a little bit when they started to, you know, trying to,
yeah, that was the thing.
No, but I don't know when I actually switched
and went full on GratefulAbe,
but I think it's amazing.
Bro, to be honest, with 3D models,
we're going to be talking a little bit also about other side,
but I think it's amazing that you have the opportunity
to be your ape here, right?
And then you meet MFers, irl on ape fest and other events and
you have such a great time and you see your ape on products and on billboards and everywhere
in the other side it's it's dream come true for me 100 100 yeah i love that story man i i think
it's uh it's very cool because i took a different approach because, you know, we were already hosting a show for a long time and I was rocking still a doodle.
So I was really, I love that.
I love what they were up to.
And I always, and you know that, I always felt like the Mutant Apes are the most amazing art out of all nfts collection probably until until
now prove me wrong and uh i said at one point that if doodles ever cross mutants i'm gonna switch
and uh it did happen on nft nyc and it happened right after my first Ape Fest where I was plus one of Grateful.
Oh, you were my plus one? Fuck yeah, man.
I went with a friend of mine
I went to the Doodles event
the main event that they hosted when they
announced Pharrell so everything
went nuts with the floor price
it ran up to 15 or 16 feet
Bro you were the MFR right?
Yeah no but seriously this is a true story I went to the event and it was funny because
they I came from 8Fest where everything I don't know i just felt like uh i i belong there also from like uh
all the all the performers and everything that was happening there all the people who i had known
already from uh virtually from the show and from talking to them for uh for a year or or i don't
know what time uh and uh i came to the doodles event and i didn't know many of the people and
i just felt disconnected to the community at that point.
And they charged us for drinks and I'm like, wow.
I think those $5 that I are like $15 that I paid for a beer at Doodles event actually forced me to switch the PFP, I swear.
I'm worried about las vegas bro like
guys if you're hosting anything they're like free drinks please free drinks no i'm kidding i'm
kidding of course i'm exaggerating a little bit but it it just felt like i i was welcomed by the
apes uh among the the apes and not being not even being one and i didn't feel the same anywhere else uh not to any i i don't know fun
and i don't want fun or anything and uh that evening or the next day metazic our co-host
back then told me uh you remember how you told us that if doodles ever uh cross some mutants
you're gonna switch it's happening today or tomorrow and if you you need to pull the trigger
and he literally told me in the in the taxi driver you need to pull the trigger tonight so
i actually did i uh it's crazy but i sold for uh my doodles for 15 eat and uh my uh the duplicator
that i got i drove for four eat so i got 19 got 19 ETH for my doodles.
And then I started choosing my mutant
because I obviously wanted the best dressed mutant
which was a successful mission.
And I chose Infi and I basically bought him.
And that's, I think it was 18 something, 18 and
And that's, it's funny, funny story is that it was previously owned by Farok.
Do you know one more story, man?
There was another day of ApeFest after you bought a mutant, right?
And I told Garga, he didn't know me back in the day.
I told Garga, man, this MFR bought a mutant.
And I don't know, guys, if you remember, I think it was day three.
It started with this song.
When Tino actually entered the venue, it started with this song. and let the rain wash away it was raining and we got those raincoats guys
and we got them tino we got them for free it wasn't like doodle event that way you had to pay
for raincoat no no no this was for free, bro. So love it.
And what I wanted to say in the very beginning, my difference, like I come from branding,
from advertising, from marketing, and I've been an entrepreneur for almost 20 years. And I knew since day one that if I ever, what I loved about uh about bayc was actually the ip rights and
and what people what people were building and i i followed it and you know that like we we were
hanging out here in the spaces already and like i was looking at gene and and baron how they were
using the licensing and everything and it fascinated me so much it was a really huge inspiration for me
It fascinated me so much.
It was a really huge inspiration for me.
I'm like, bro, this is like a dream.
Because all of a sudden, you have an asset that is kind of known.
And people do recognize it.
At the same time, it's your own.
And you create your own visual with it.
And I decided to go a different direction.
And I basically created this this figure, gave him a origin story, minted the the OG collection on ETH with him.
But when you minted, you actually got his backstory written by me.
So so I did actually write a short story and uh
and so on and the rest is history love it love it man uh what amazing times right the journey
is insane and i think this all shows that you need to bet right right? Like you always hear in, you know,
when you listen to entrepreneurs
and you listen what they did 10 years ago,
they were like, hey, I bet I went all in
And this is what we did here.
Like we bet a lot, we went all in.
And after four years, I would say the progress
and everything is really incredible.
So guys, if you haven't seen, go to
og.boardapiaclub.com because the site is legendary. And it's so funny that they are the roadmap
activations, right? First of all, it mentions that there is no bonding curve, which is funny. And
they said that there are no bonding curves here. Buying a board ape costs 0.08 there are no price tiers byc membership cost the
same for everyone uh which is which is it was revolutionary back in the day i would say and the
roadmap was so it's also like looking back it's crazy right like 10 minted we pay back our moms
20 minted we we released the uh caged apesaged apes, I don't even remember these tokens held back from the sale, are airdropped to random ape holders, dope.
40% BAYC gets its own YouTube channel, it's still alive guys, BAYC lo-fi radio.
60% member exclusive BAYC merch store, which you guys all remember,
those OG hoodies and t-shirts are incredible.
80% the clubhouse image becomes interactive
and the mysterious note becomes,
now I can't read it because it's,
yeah, I can read that word,
90% the board ape liquidity pool
and 100% the mutant appes, right? Arcade Machine
absolutely crazy roadmap back in the day.
It brings me so many memories
and of course the bathroom, right? I don't know if you
remember, you could go to bathroom and
place a pixel there. I don't know if it was like every
two minutes or something.
Absolutely insane, guys. So yeah, this is
special day i went through also my photo library to see what i was doing i was i was in bali
i actually learned about apes in in the most beautiful place with the most beautiful view
from guy who name is or was Top Shot King.
I don't know where is he now,
but Top Shot King actually tweeted about apes.
I hopped on my scooter, went to the hotel and apes started flying.
And when I got back home from, I think,
lunch or dinner, they were gone.
And I'm so hyped that we have so many here on stage so i
will circle around say hi and i want to i want to hear your your story your highlights uh how you
enter the club um yeah what what were your best experiences t. Also, guys, I see many of you here, but only 18 retweets.
Go and click that retweet button.
Come on, like and retweet.
vibes here, to get some stories.
If you retweet, you have a chance
to win a time machine and you can
travel back to May, April 2021 and you can travel back to uh may uh april 2021
and you can mint your own byc so it's very juicy giveaway uh starts with tweeting
yeah the only catch uh the time machine uh hasn't been invented yet uh but uh when it's gonna be
invented you will get it from us so So that's the thing. Tino.
Guys, retweet the space. I'm gonna... one of you is gonna get my OG collection, the Infitorium on
Ethereum. So you're gonna get one of those. And yeah, I also... yeah, why not? One Infitorum Street Memories on Ape Chain. So two NFTs and maybe some of the people who come over
will throw something into that as well.
And so retreat the space.
Two of you for now will get the NFTs.
And yeah, let's start with...
or two elite backgrounds here on stage. Um, yeah, they have a prepaid priority, right? Oh shit.
It's happening again. It's happening again. Even on four year anniversary. It's happening again,
guys. It's a hundred percent not going to be chef Pancho. You know that, right? So Hunter,
Wee Chip, Pancho, you know that, right?
So Hunter, how are you doing today?
What up, Grateful GM everyone?
I am doing super well today.
I mean, just really reminiscing, you know, from waking up.
I went, I hit the links this morning.
Yeah, man, just thinking about how things were four years ago.
And, you know, I know we got a lot of apes, so I'll be quick about my story. But
I was just but a poor master's student. I was in NFTs for like a year at that point,
community managing. I was working on my app, Nifty Drops. And, you know, I remember it was actually most of my mints were April 30th.
And I think I saw Jimmy.eth tweet about it.
And I followed it, followed a couple of threads.
And I saw, you know, I aped in.
I saw I saw the first snapshot of really consistent NFT culture that I had seen up to that point.
I was like, oh my God, I was just hungry.
I had like, I don't know, I had probably $3,800 to my name.
And I minted 16 in a couple, you know, I think I minted the first one.
Yeah, it was definitely life-changing for me.
I think the first one I minted was 357, the token ID.
And then I minted a couple other batches.
And, you know, people just funneled in.
I saw all these different people.
Um, and I was like, fuck, fuck. Yeah, this is great. And, um, I think I bought one secondary
that next week for one eighth. If you guys have seen my cheetah pipe ape. Um, but, uh, yeah, man.
Uh, I mean, I just looked in my discord too. Uh, Those next couple of days as things were getting really hot,
I really wanted to create something fun in the space.
For like six months, I was on kind of learning Blender,
but I was also talking to some animators and whatnot.
And on the 7th of May, I DM'd Gordon Garner
before there was a line of thousands and thousands of people DMing him on Discord.
And I said, hey, man, like, I just want to get it straight with the IP.
Like, I want to found, I'm writing for an animated series I want to do on YouTube.
And, you know, he explained to me, yeah, you know, like have people, if they,
you have permission, whatever. And then, uh, a month later I, you know, I found an animator and
I founded yawn the apes. Our first episode came out and I was, you know, paying money out of
pocket to build that. I think, you know, we had one season and then i ran out of money for it and uh this is way before you know ape chain and aips and such but uh yeah man board api cloud
absolutely changed my life and today is a good fucking day boys let's go man i love the story
like the vibe back in the day it's so so hard to describe it, right? I was checking my photo library
and I immediately went to create stickers.
And I was spamming the local bridge on Bali, man.
By the way, on very famous beach.
The beach is called Padang Padang
Now you're gonna think that I'm weird,
but it's a movie with Julia Roberts andberts and she traveled to eat pray love
holy shit so that's the beach where she is actually so i was spamming the bridge there
with the ape stickers there unfortunately they are not there anymore uh they they peel them off but
the vibes were really really crazy and after minting this one i i think during
the the june i bought a few more apes uh i spent from from like 0.4 0.5 and i think like uh one
eat or something like that so it was it was very special i have one more question why from 16 apes
why did you pick the one with the aquamarine background?
Because you don't have anything more bullish than aquamarine background in the BAYC.
It could be the worst day ever.
We're red, down 1000%. We're still green, baby.
It's so good to hear those stories.
I think we are, just because of that, man, we are here, right?
And with Other Side launching next month, guys, it's first of May,
so it's next month, hopefully, we're going to have another tool
to actually hang out and chat and have fun, right?
And definitely after I go through all of you here,
I want to also chat about ApeFest experiences and everything that happened there because
I think it's a huge part of the journey and
there is no other project like that, that delivered
every year one huge, crazy activation
like ApeFest because ApeFest is not like
you know, even the first one,
it never, never been like a small thing, right? It always was like a huge, I wasn't on first one,
but I sent Beast there, he stood the line there, and it was incredible, you know, on that huge boat,
it was, or I don't know if we call it boat or yacht or what was that, right?
No one has done that, right?
And we have another one in Vegas, which is, oh my God, man, I'm so scared.
I'm so scared to be like, I will probably, I don't know.
People are worried that I will come back home with face tattoos or married or broke or something like that.
Let's circle around and let's get
Poser and Horder here on stage
and also to listen to what they are cooking together.
And then we move on with other of you here on like Dojo, Baka, Chef, to hear your stories.
Also, if anyone want to join us here, just request and I'll bring you, I'll slowly bring you here.
So, Hoarder, you're such a legend.
I don't think, you know, we shouldn't even, like, we don't have you know we shouldn't even
we don't have to even introduce you
you have done so much for the club
I don't know where to start
you had a great great activations
how you doing and share your story with us. How did you
end up in this club? And what were your highlights and experiences? Yeah, GM, GM, thanks for having
me. It's always an honor to be on the show. And I think you inflated my head a little bit too much.
But no, I mean, look, I...
I have to open, like, guys, Hoarder,
he was on a Philadelphia 76ers 2001 team roaster.
So if you look at old shots, probably on YouTube,
he's sat next to AI, guys.
And AI is not artificial intelligence in
2001 guys it's someone else the the the closest i probably was and i i might be the water boy
kind of serving ape ape water to the team maybe maybe maybe that was what i was doing but um yeah
i mean my my story is much closer to uh tino's right? I don't even think I knew what NFTs were when apes were minting at the time. And I kind of fell into NFTs through the whole GME AMC craze.
raised. So, you know, being kind of the board DJ, I was, I fell into kind of just making money by
flipping it because, you know, it was something fun to do. And, you know, having a hospitality
group, NFT Philly, shout out to Barman and Squiddy, who founded it, wanted to host some parties at some of my nightclub or restaurants.
And I said, sure, why not?
And hosted them and met the community and talked about IP.
And this was prior to Made by Apes and really of like fell in love with the community.
So, you know, bought the top, very similar to Tino, like paid 19E for my mutants, you
know, which is really kind of been my identity until most recently.
Never thinking that I kind of level up to an OG, but you know, the, the journey has been crazy.
And, and I've stayed for the community, for the IP and just, you know, what building together looks like here.
Um, you know, first creating board bagels and then scaling that to, you know other other brands and products like board and
tipsy um we have board spice board snacks uh and and now creating this parent company uh board ip
around all these different sub-brands along with uh board trading cafe which is a pop-up in Philadelphia, which we're actually building.
Bro, you have more companies than Jeff Bezos, man, after listening to you right now.
Yeah, I mean, look, I actually have worked for Amazon for quite a period.
You copy-paste in the playbook, right?
I mean, and that's kind of what I learned too, right?
And we've tried a lot of products and brands.
We've iterated different things.
Some things have worked, some things haven't.
And all these kind of products,
we try them through our in real life restaurants and stores.
And, you know, some are proven, some are innovated from kind of this Web3 initiative.
But, yeah, it's been a journey.
And, you know, I've been one of the fortunate ones that have, you know, been funded through an AIP and ApeCoin with Ford Trading Co. AIP 468 and you know been working
hard to empower kind of other MBAs and products out through direct the consumer or or B2B business
wholesale type deals too so you know continue to try to build for the community and build together with
the community. And you have done so much, uh, and it was great to, to meet you IRL in, in Lisbono.
Guys, I, I probably do this in the format, like last of us, right? When, uh, no, we know,
we are not going to have a zombies here but after we hear the story i will also add
a story from bayc club and then we get back into the person right so it is it's like going to be
back in past like in in the in the tv series um it's also crazy that i i will try to pin up the
article uh from top shot cowboy because there is a wall and they are
still like bathroom wall and there are still pixels
that I put there which is absolutely insane but I don't
know if you guys knew that but the story of BAYC
is actually from the future and I would like to know
who heard about it before guys and
give me thumbs up or down if you heard the story
what actually the club is about
uh i see some thumbs up amazing so um we we keep going with hoarder and then then i will read
the part from that interview with garga and gordon uh that top shot cowboy did and i think that was
one of the uh one of the first interviews with them actually. So yeah.
Pranksy tweeted at four years ago today.
I minted this board ape alongside.
And now the number is insane.
And one of my ape is from Pranksy.
I bought one ape from Pranksy.
And I bought the ape just because of the number.
I was like, 4545 sounds like good numbers.
Kind of weird decision-making process, right?
I then bought it back later one year later
for 333 eat and then sold it again for 420 this is wow this is so cool crazy crazy yeah but hoarder
i love your story i love what you're doing uh any crazy highlights for you uh you know just just a
quick highlight that you did you experience and then we go with a with a poser and then we get
what you guys cooking yeah i mean i i think ape fest last year um was a whirlwind um but very much a highlight, you know, helping ship NBA products into Lisbon.
And then also the Creator House, you know, we threw 16 events in four days at the Creator House.
And then also Ape Games, right?
So, you know, I think it's been products, it's been events, but I think seeing it all kind of come to a fest and being able to help empower a lot of different things there, I think that was really special for me.
It was such a great time in Lisbon.
I absolutely loved it. I enjoy Creator House so much. We also use one of the signs in front of the building and we put so many stickers on it, especially Tino and huge ones. So great location too. Really, really enjoyed it.
Guys, I will make it faster with Pouser because his story is quite simple.
He took an Uber ride with me.
I took his passport and I was like, you need to buy a mutant unless I'm not giving you passport back.
So he did and he got a passport and he could travel back from Paris back to home.
So Pouser, is that correct?
Yeah, it's exactly what you're saying.
So, yeah, thank you for bringing me here to the club.
And I'm pretty happy I can be part of this journey
and be part of the whole ecosystem
and be able to create something unique for you,
what we are cooking now with Hoarder together.
So, yeah, it's such a long journey for me, even if I'm in the club for like one and a half years.
So during that time, we did a lot of stuff.
We created a lot of things in Lisbon, like Graffiti Jam and like with Gucita and other guys,
the fashion shows and and all the all the
activations what we did so so i'm pretty happy i'm i'm i'm really keen to to still build something
to still help each other with something and and doing collaboration so that's awesome to be part
of that and i'm pretty happy that that you brought me here because I've been, you know, I missed the mint, the OG mint from 2020 or what was that.
And yeah, every time I was like looking forward to buy the ape, you know, and the price goes down and and i every time try to earn those those coins you know because i'm an artist
and i i i put all my artistic creation into this and try to to get the to get the the amount of
of money or or eat to to get to get an ape. So one day after
the Uber ride with you, it
happened, so I'm pretty happy.
Now you go to ApeFest. Now you
gotta travel to Las Vegas, right? Now
you gotta gamble everything you have there.
You never know what's gonna happen.
Or maybe you're not gonna gamble everything you have there,
but that's my plan, right?
We gotta take all ETH out of blockchain
And I hope I'm going to double that up
It's gonna be fun. It's going to be fun.
But, Pauzer, your journey is amazing.
You immediately started creating things.
So what are you cooking now with Hoarder?
And, yeah, because, guys, this is a commercial break in Grateful Show right now.
Hoarder and Pauzer, they are paying us like other space.
Yeah, we've been paid zero ETH, zero Apecoin.
And I have also a jingle for you.
Pouser, now you should start screaming what you're cooking, bro.
What? Yeah. Thank you for a great introduction.
So I will tell you a story.
So one day, Hoarder just pinged me the message.
What about to cook something together?
What about to do some collaboration with board trading company?
And, you know, to be honest, was something what what i've been looking forward
looking for for for a long time you know to to work with somebody who will fit to you as a person
as well you know and and who understand what you are doing and and and you, it's a perfect match basically for me, you know.
So we started discussing how to, like, connect, like, my fashion with board trading
and how to bring the vibes of the board ABIAC community into that and after after our experience with with the lisbon eight test release
of custom one of one scarves uh we started to begin in into this you know and i i i came with
with some ideas and and we've been discussing basically like the board, ABA club and mutants to put on the scarf as a one-on-one custom for user.
And hoarder said, okay, so why we are not like spread it into the whole Ape Chain ecosystem and the whole collection,
like the selected, let's say, Ape Chain collections.
like the the selected let's say a chain collections and and it it makes more sense you know because we
will get uh more value the people will will like it through the the different types of collections
and and even those artworks fits into the some different type of artwork, which is like Kyro said, it's more Digen.
It's super Digen things when you can put different tokens on the different designs.
So that was super exciting for me.
And since then, we work hard with with hoarder we jump every every week on the calls and
and tweak it out as much as we can and and then then we started with with like the visuals for
for the like posts and commercials with with the 3d apes and 3d mutants which i need to say shout out to to mom and rita he he did a great
job and and i i started to use the blender a little bit more for some like basic renders you
know and and presenting the the whole product as a as a 3D stuff with an apes.
So that was the kind of experience what I learned as well.
And I'm trying every time to push it forward.
And Holder is the man behind the business.
So I'm really happy that we matched together.
Love it, Bowser. pin up pin it up so guys you can you can check it out how can people how can people support you
guys so basically they can they can send send
ether on our wallets I was like how can people support you immediately I regret
regretted that question because I knew you MFR
I knew you gotta be I'm dropping CA immediately after this and you can send eat right or apecoin
You know, I will be more than happy if people will love it if people will share it with their communities and
It's just deserve if we will get some orders, you know, it's just deserve
if we will get some orders, you know.
And even if you maybe can't order,
You can still comment it so people see it.
You can share it in your groups.
The scarves, the quality is insane, everyone who
I saw many people IRL, they were like
holy smoke, that's insane quality
whenever you need to rob a bank
over your face, it has more use cases, when you are not doxx bank, you can use it over your face, right?
It has more use cases. When you are not doxxed, you can use it.
You know, one thing I forgot to mention.
It's like after the order, it will be produced because it's 101,
everything needs to be prepared and after, there will be the scarves attached with the NFC chips
with Vowlabs, and everything will be on the A-chain as well.
So it will be connected to Web3.
And yeah, after this release, this is the first release of the collection of four different designs.
This one is inspired by Swamp, and then will be something like, let's say, Clubhouse, other site,
and it will finish as a design for the Ape Fest again.
will finish as a design for for the eight fest again so if there will be somebody who will who
will uh will hold all four designs he will get into the ruffle of the other other deed plot so
that's why why like hoarder so you're basically giving away like ten10,000 because by the time, man, other deeds are already flying,
by the time you're doing the giveaway, I expect the floor to be crazy,
but no financial advice, right?
But man, and other deeds, oh, and Tino's DMing me like,
shut the fuck up, man, like, we don't want to pump other deeds
because we need to buy more.
I know, I know, yeah, it's getting out of hand
because every deed I wanted, someone bought I know, I know, yeah. It's getting out of hand because every deed I wanted,
someone bought, you know, so yeah.
But love that, man, love that.
The scarves are beautiful.
I also see some collections that we know,
like Rillas, right, Gatsby.
Guys, it's a pinned tweet, so check it out give it a like retweet it
so more people can see it and more people can get those carves yeah i would just say that like
ip has been such a big piece of my journey so you know for me it's it's also leaning into that for Ape Chain and the communities there, right?
And that potentially being a part of, you know, all of these new people in our community now and what this could be for their journey into the future, right?
So I think it, you know, it definitely is a very different thing when you have your NFT, you know, very specific NFT on a physical product.
And, you know, I'm, you know, no offense to Pauzer or anything.
You know, these I don't wear scarves. was so compelled by the quality of his scarf and the design that to me, like, it's something I
want to display, you know, and frame and put up in my home, right? So I think there's definitely
a component of this where, yes, it could be functional as a scarf for the fact that like it's such a beautiful piece
and customized for your NFT.
You know, I personally would buy this.
And that's why I reached out to Pazler,
I think is, you know, just having seen the products
and what he's produced here
and to be able to spread that IP outward and that
journey outward to Ape Chain.
It's really incredible product.
And it's very interesting to see how the decision from the founders giving us IP, it also wasn't
common back in the day, right?
they didn't have the same license as Apes. I think if you did something, you needed
something like permission if it was above $100,000 or something like that. But it wasn't open as BYCIP.
And also Apes immediately started cooking. In 2021, you saw so many
different products, t-shirts, everything.
that. I think that was why
Made by Apes started, because
Apes immediately started cooking.
see that journey after four years
come since then so yeah big
congrats guys uh for this collab i think it's it's great and uh wish you success i wish you sell a lot
of them so guys check the pin tweet you can check it out there and yeah anything else you would like
to add hoarder or or poser yeah i would just say like this this does ship worldwide
right so so it is a change from you know the snack pack and some of the food stuff that ships
worldwide uh and a part of the funds will go back to the dow or aip as well for board trading co
amazing let's go guys good luck so hyped to have you here today uh during this celebration because
uh you've been part of the club like uh you've done a lot a lot of great things so yeah grateful
to have you here tino so how is it going so far anything you would like to add
oh shit no i i i really hope that you are not like that founder, right? I was like, oh, Tino died on stage.
No, man, everything's fine. I was just trying to unmute and I had a little visitor here who has been trying to tell, say, GM out loud to all of you.
And yeah, man, I really love, as you said,
the quality of powder scars, that's insane.
It's, he knows what he's doing, so.
So I have to be very honest,
like this combination of these two guys
And I actually just pinned the post uh because one of the NFTs
I'm giving away is Infitorum Street memories and is the sign that you mentioned which was outside
of the the board creator's house uh so I think it was pretty legendary I saw so many pictures uh
during Ape Fest from that so yeah it, I just like that when it has this
kind of touch. And yeah, guys,
so much for us all, so I'm
heading and what's going to happen.
can't wait to see the scarves
in Vegas, right? It's going to be amazing.
going to get tips i i will be wearing that scarf uh maybe fake gun or shit like that i don't know
i don't know uh we'll we'll figure that out oh this is probably not funny right because uh yeah
us government is 100 listening and uh the border controller they'll be very happy with listening to this.
So yeah, I didn't say that.
It was Great Flake, not me.
Guys, quick back like the last of us,
and from past quickly to the future
because I will read immediately,
right now, I will read the story
And I'm 100% sure that not everyone knows the story so let me quickly
read that i'll change my voice a little bit to proper accent uh that's my secret skill that non
not everyone knows about so i changed my accent i changed my voice and listened to the story why
apes are bored it's absolutely crazy so here we go guys b-. BAYC. The story we started to imagine for ourselves is that this NFT is set 10 years in the future.
We imagined that everyone who aped into crypto became wealthy beyond their wildest dreams.
But now that the yield farms have dried up and all the Doge coins have been mined, they're bored.
So now what's an ape to do?
Our answer, hang out with fellow apes at a secret club in the swamp. And so that was the origins of
the BAYC. There was still a ton of work to be done from there, working with a team of artists,
trying to find our perfect ape, figuring out what this fantastical looking club would look like but it was incredibly
fun we really started to feel like okay even if we go broke making this this is going to be hilarious
we knew we'd be proud of this even if it never moved a single eth yeah eth sorry guys I don't know it's an ETH but yeah this is a story so it's happening in the
future which is absolutely wild right and this was the the interview with Gordon and Garga
I think few days after the mint or maybe even during the mint top shot, he got a custom ape. There were also those custom apes, right?
I think NGB also got one.
They don't have a utility like our apes,
but they were really dope.
So yeah, this is the original story.
Like you look back how four people came up with the idea
and brought it to life and look what happened
after that, right? So that's what we
always say, like, don't overthink, don't
you want to say something.
Just one thing, I really hope
this is one of the moments
with the Simpsons that you
say, oh, how could they predict
the future that 10 years from now we're like super wealthy
and just chilling at the Ape.
It's already happening, bro.
It's already happening with ApeCoin reaching $55 this year.
I think, yeah, the future is here already.
And non-financial advice, UMFers, don't clip this.
I don't know if Rida is still here.
He's going to clip it, but don't clip this.
But I'm really bullish on everything that's happening.
We have, you know, other side will be powered by Ape Chain and Ape Coin,
which is really, really bullish.
So, yeah, this future is 100% happening.
So, guys, we also talking to Guchitaeta what he's building so stay tuned stay tuned um i see
dojo and i see dojo he has a aquamarine in his uh in his pfp2 so dojo welcome here how you doing
today and what is your story i am doing fantastic happy birthday PP man first off
if you were wondering the last airbender
isn't Avatar Aquamarine actually
day i think still continued to watch avatar and got on the clubhouse app and i heard some
ape noises and suddenly i had this feeling inside of me that i think still hasn't gone away. And a dev that I trusted was hosting a game.
And the game was pick one through 10,000.
If you pick the right one, the NFT would send your wallet.
And after eight tries on the ninth try, a bored ape was sent to my wallet.
That's crazy. That was my Wow at the time I didn't really you know know anything
and here we are the rest is history best club on the planet. Oh shit, I got an M3 serum with the Ape. Oh, it's so boring. Yeah. Oh, and I got a Chaos, Other Side, Other Deed
Your life is quite simple and boring.
Any highlights from the journey?
Ape Fest at Pier 17, like Tina was saying,
was probably one of the most spectacular experiences in my life.
And, of course, cappuccinos for free,
because we would never pay for anything at an event.
Those cappuccinos with your ape in the foam, right?
The tacos were wonderful.
Other than that, I think the number one
here without the Lo-fi radio station. I don't think I'd be here without the lo-fi.
And I remember standing on Pier 17, looking at the NYC skyline and I was like, how did I end up
here? Right? It didn't feel real. The whole journey, I think the Ape Fest 2022 was that after the other side,
or before Tino, I don't remember now. Or anyone here. I don't know, but it was wild.
It was wild. And I don't know if you remember these guys, but this is the lo-fi baby. Oh my god
By the way, it has 110 billion views
110 billion so basically everyone
Every living person with the internet.
Or maybe the number is a little
lower, but yeah, maybe I made it up,
but it's still a high number.
Love this. It brings so many
memories. It's absolutely crazy. So, yeah.
he's having a huge party in Dubai
then they rented a whole Burj Khalifa building.
So each floor is a different BAYC team, right?
I don't know how many floors is that.
It has probably over like 100 floors.
So we have 100 BAYC teams.
They are doing crazy stuff in Dubai right now.
So Rita, how are you doing man yo yo grateful no I'm here no I'm at the crypto boxing or something crypto
fight night I'm watching KOLs getting their ass kicked and I'm not paying the sale paying yourself those mfrs those scales who've been paid to fat apes bro like come on yeah now
i'm watching them start screaming kols no i'm not doing that they're sponsoring my uh okay okay
when I leave when I leave I have to say that you have to buy a bonk a bonk coin a coin called bonk
when i leave when i leave
yeah that's what I get free drinks for saying that so yeah grateful no but this is my anniversary a
different anniversary this is the my anniversary for the first Coda animation that I made.
Really? Yeah. First Coda animation? Yeah, the first Coda. This is the first time I entered this ecosystem.
And who was the first one? Because I was also early in your Coda animations, bro. No, the first one I did it for somebody called Janks.
You were three or four or something.
Yeah, I'm usually three, third or fourth.
But what you can do, right?
But today I had a great meeting with some of your friends
You remember them? You had them on your show?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember them. Oh my God. So cool. So cool.
Yeah, they came to the office. Cool guys.
They're from Estonia, right?
Yeah, yeah. But they are based in New York, right? But they're from Estonia, right?
Yeah, but they are based in New York, right? But they're from Estonia, right? Yeah. And also your friend Herman came from Somnia, so we'll get your Gs on there soon. Let's fucking go, bro. Let's fucking go. Let's go.
Rita, what were your highlights in the club? I'm really curious.
Joining your space and you clipping it was the highlight, of course. And then meeting such an iconic and old person like Pino.
I never thought I would meet a 90-year-old at parties.
Such a good-looking 90-year-old, huh?
Thank you, Rita. I appreciate it.
The first animation animation the rest
you guys have seen on my timeout
when did you join the club Rita no that was three years ago two years ago
yeah okay but I joined with my animation,
so yeah. I worked myself up to buying a meeting, a board ape, and a BMW, and yeah, and G-Zone
8. What a great journey, Rita, man. And I remember those Koda animations, and I was
immediately like, hey man, I need that and the animation is so good even
Even before we had 3D apes or or any 3D models man these animations were out of the world and I absolutely love it
I still share it time to time and people still are crazy about those. So yeah, man
You you've been doing crazy crazy job with 3D
It's been a journey. It's been a long three years
Yeah, we also all aged in those three years like yeah, maybe 20 years
20 years is Tino. Tino does 20 years in a year
20 years is Tino. Tino does 20 years in a year.
I'm going backwards, bro. You have no idea how old I am.
It's true that Tino didn't have to wear diapers before he joined, but he changed.
Bro, Tino has a black and white ape.
When he mentioned apes, it was still black and white.
They didn't have full colors.
On a record player MC oh my god oh my god Rita enjoy Dubai I know you are based in Dubai but I mean enjoy token
enjoy the events and I know you will right I I've seen you a few times on IRL events and I know you always enjoyed it so I'm not sure if you remember all the time you know
I don't remember but I have my timeline to remind me of a lot of it and then
and then stupid Baka lets me up on his stages and lets me talk. Yeah.
Baka is not allowed to let me talk at night.
After a couple of hours, I've given him permission to mute me and kick me and do whatever he wants.
Baka, it's one of those nights.
So in 30 minutes, do not let me up.
I'm going to let you up and promise everyone a g's it's gonna be great
but baka i remember i remember rita joining other space once
it was so good man i'm not gonna go back right we don't go back to class but
man i it was so good we were like rita you are having a great time. I know I know
Bro yesterday it was like a couple of hours ago and people like actually clipping my giveaway. I think I gave away Zier or Alo
That's really funny, but please Rita don't let Alo travel anymore. I saw him traveling to Egypt.
It's not funny because he was very close to the water.
It's very dangerous for him to be close to water,
soccer field or anything like that
because he gets injured very easily.
Guys, Alo is amazing death,
but he's also the first person that was injured
during a soccer match as a spectator so
he was spectator and he got his knee dislocated i never seen that before it happened and uh yeah
we almost lost the board closet and many other you know many other things in our ape community so
uh be very careful rita like really take care of him, don't let him go. We're starting something, you know the whales, they have the WWF to protect them and all this.
We're creating something for Apechain because he's a dev of 75 projects and now he has Allopast.
So yeah, we're gonna protect him, put him in an aquarium or something.
Yeah, that's the way, that's the way that's the way let's go yeah we we need to log him somewhere so
uh he he's not leaving his basement or his tesla right
rita you mentioned baka so let's welcome baka here uh say what's up and baka share with us
your story how did you end up in this? How did you end up hosting so many spaces?
Yo, so I actually got liquidated a couple years ago.
This is not my first ape.
Yeah, I was traveling in Colombia and had no service, bro.
And this is like two years ago when when apes tank like man like I don't know 30 40 percent and yeah I got liquidate I was playing
stupid games though you know it was definitely my fault I like right before
I left from my trip I I doubled down and I took a loan out to get a second mutant and a dog.
Like, why would I do that, right?
But anyways, yeah, long story short, it went down and I got liquidated.
And then, yeah, I kind of just like took a break, you know, came back for like the creeps pump.
I've been I've been in NFTs since 2021.
Like, I started with WaxP NFTs.
I don't know if you guys know what that is.
But, yeah, rest in peace to WaxP.
But, yeah, we here, baby.
I mean, I've always looked up to the Bored Ape Yacht, it was just always like out of reach. But this year, you know, I made it in the club and I love it here, man. As you can see, you know, I love hosting these spaces and I love the community. It's just a lot of fun, bro.
I love it, I love it, man.
Did you actually attend any, or have you attended any of the Ape Fests?
No, no, actually this Ape Fest will be my first.
Let's go, man. Oh my God, and in Vegas.
So, what do you think about location? What are your plans? Any crazy
things that you plan for for Vegas already? I mean just really I want to
I want to stick together with like the homies so whatever they decide to do you
know we'll roll along with them. I plan on staying there like five days. So, yeah, I'm going to try to hit all the good events.
You know, I'm not sure if I'm going to do the ape concierge yet, but we'll see.
But, yeah, I'm just going to try to do everything as much as I can.
It's going to be so wild.
I'll watch Hangover movie
on the way to Vegas, right?
So it's gonna be like a blueprint
And yeah, I really, Tino,
I really hope the bet we have
will work and we fly together, right?
That would be fun. That would be fun.
Yeah, so the bet is about
Grateful taking a private jet.
Okay, we need to pump that ApeCoin to $100
and then we can think about it.
a secret cinema inside it.
But guys, there are so many
apes in Europe right I think
we can easily chart a plane it's gonna
be same prices you know why
do that that would be so much fun
but we don't do any of those
cringe videos that I saw on that flight
to Dubai or what was that man we not gonna do
that shit right like because everyone will floor
we're not doing that shit right like because everyone will floor that I see you I'll be the pilot maybe not but Adam Weitzman he tweeted all I want to do is
somehow find the last missing mega mutant serum and open it at ape fest on the sphere in vegas can you imagine
opening the m3 on sphere and i'm also in the market for m3 serum guys uh so whoever has it
hit me up i just have a little smaller budget than adam but we can talk we can hit me up and we can talk, you know? Yeah. I think I have budget in range of 0.182.
And yeah, there's a secret.
You'll figure out if you DM me.
Like the sphere, I know it's so expensive.
So I'm not sure if it makes sense for BAYC to do anything with it,
but it's, it's, it's crazy.
So yeah, love it, love it.
Who else we have here on stage before we get into Guchita?
I just want to say one last thing.
Third highlight of this entire journey,
and probably the most important, biggest of all,
has been building on AVE chain with legends like Rita and Baca and
all you efforts I just I just wanted to say that this is still the highlight and
that was important to me so thank you grateful thank you Tino guys 18 brought
And so many cool collections.
Yeah, we mentioned G's by Rita, but there are so many more.
You know, Rila's here on stage.
Gatsby, he just DMed me to mention Rila's 23 times.
So, yeah, I have 20 more announcements.
But, yeah, so many great collections on
On a chain love it and I think a chain and other side will be a game changer It will bring something it already bringing right but with other side it will bring like another dimension what we can do so can't wait
I'll quickly say hi to gets me because he has his Aquamarine priority and we go to Guchita and
somehow then we go to punchby because he has his aquamarine priority then we go to Guchita and somehow then we go to Pancho because he has a yeah low priority with the background but maybe Pancho you can you
can bribe me I don't know man oh my god sorry sorry I didn't mean it I see you know Ernest join
us and Handsome Bastard and and and Lost and Bad Teeth love Love you guys. You know that, right?
We have those background fixing games.
Actually, Lost was the first one
Baron actually posted amazing,
and one of them is Baron and the other ape there was Nana, which is wild, right?
So Gatsby, how you doing, man? Share with us your story, your highlights, how did you end up in the club, how you feeling today?
GM, GM, MFersers what's up nine and amazing
excuse me this mint out party bro
I mean I wasn't one that came
actually not even in NFTs
I was obsessed with Ethereum
DeFi Bitcoin I was trying to build
like my career in the crypto
space and try to build awareness in
general. But I got my co-founder, Kid Goody, into crypto. And funny enough, we ended up working in
the same company together. And it was crypto related. And he was the one, he's always been
a visual designer and stuff. And as soon as I told him about crypto, he went into NFTs, right?
Unfortunately, it was a bit too late because the mint of board apes had already happened when when he started coming in
but yeah and eventually i ended up coming into nfts through uh tank atf and i fell in love with
the potential of ip storytelling board apes already of course came into my map and i was always aiming
towards you know getting my first mutant and
such. And that ended up happening, I think it was like two years ago, almost two years ago that I
got my Aquamarine mutant. And I bought it specifically to go to ApeFest because I was on a
mission, both when I was in TankiTF and when I bought the mutant, my mission was always to
generate network and to just live experiences and travel
the world try to since since my obsession had always been you know make crypto my career
i saw this the perfect niche with the people that had the same mindset and loved the same things i
did now i was like yo you know i gotta spend my my entire savings on just traveling the world
meeting these people that inspire me so much, both founders and community members.
And that kind of like set the history to where I am now, right?
Where I built up my brand with MBA.
Well, it wasn't fully MBA from the beginning, right?
It was a company and then built it out in MBA and, you know, started also understanding the culture and everything I could provide as value.
And I'm just stoked to be here now with Ape Chain, bro.
Like you were saying, right?
Four years in crypto years seems like an eternity,
but it's been such a short time.
Like for me, two years since I got into the club
I would say it's like six years, right?
In actual real life time span.
But yeah, man, and from there you know ape chain came out
real as and i'm just stoked man that uh i got into the journey and i got to meet nfts and get into
that space as as hard as i could um and i don't regret anything you know there's uh mistakes i've
made which i see as lessons and i've mostly made friends which is what i was aiming for and just lived amazing
experiences and like highlights i'd say literally the events and just traveling the world man and
getting to meet people irl and going to you know getting access to the charleston opening of the
studio and him making rain an actual physical airdrop of like a million dollars in nfts and shit i don't know man like
it was it was truly um what opened my eyes to want to become an entrepreneur in the space
and and you know and eventually become bored apes enjoying generational wealth from here to
six years forward but yeah man that's that's kind of the whole story and highlights i got a lot you
know because i got a face on kong where um was, you know, showcased in the background.
I got to see my ape on a BMW as well.
I have my ape on a mural of, you know, Tino on the Ape Street Gallery.
Bro, I've seen my 3D renders now.
10KTF put, you know, advertising of our NBA brands in their racing game and their story.
And I'm just happy to see that everyone who stayed is also having the same, you know, feeling of just grateful for everything, you know.
Not a better word to say in this space.
to say in this space what a great story gets me i i love it and uh you have you you um went to
What a great story gets me.
ape fest in hong kong and you immediately went to line for a bmw man i i actually didn't i i was
like oh i'm not gonna wait in the line i'm going for the burritos and pizza and or what was that
for food right so i was like mf is waiting for BMW and I'll eat as much as I can meanwhile so I love it you know also
went for BMW I didn't have to make a line to be honest because that year was
super special because I was helping the damn show remember the damn show and
thank ATF so you cheated man you were there earlier so I was there earlier and
I had like the Yuga production pass as well so I cheated man you were there earlier so i was there earlier and i had like the yuga
production pass as well so i got to you know just see things that were in the background as well and
kind of see like the inner workings of the monster that it is creating ape fest and everything yuga
does and everything so it kind of just made it even more special right i got my first ape fest
i got to see behind the curtain so So, very, very dope, man.
That's the first time I met Rita,
Because you were there earlier,
because he looked too much
It's absolutely not funny,
with the funds that we had, right?
And I was laughing at him,
like, bro, come on, man. Man up. What the fuck are you doing? And then suddenly, there, we go to the room, he's like, bro, I don't know why I'm crying so much. And I was laughing at him like, bro, come on, man, man up.
What the fuck are you doing?
And then suddenly, like little after, my eyes start to water like shit.
And the next day, we both woke up practically with our eyes swollen, just like my ape.
Right now, I have the Rilla mask, but my ape has the blindfold, right?
So it was a perfect scenario for me to do a pose.
I really enjoyed that fest.
Thank you so much with my phone.
But unfortunate events, bro.
Bro, I can imagine you sitting
on your room next to each other,
I never thought I'd miss you. and listening to this song, bro.
I never thought I'd miss you Oh my god.
I've never been there. The city was
amazing. A-Fest has a different place in my God. I've never been there. You know, the city was amazing. So every ApeFest has
a different place in my heart. I also always meet different people there, right? It's a different
city. It's absolutely crazy. So before we end the space, guys, I definitely want to touch ApeFest,
ApeFest, you know, and talk about the experiences from there because not only ApeFest, right? I remember after the NFT NYC 2022,
Bullmark, everything was flying.
And then there was a very nice Art Basel activation
There was absolutely insane venue and concert.
He looked like he's flying or something like that.
So yeah, it was also great. So we definitely need to talk about it a little bit but before we do that um i i got a
color blinded a little bit so i don't see orange so uh gucci welcome here how are you doing my man
good my man how you guys doing what's up tino we hype we hype we are so hyped oh my god so good to
have you here man what's that so good to have you here man yeah buddy thanks for having me man yeah
dude such great stories about everybody getting into the club um i dude i got into nfts like i've been in crypto since like 2017
but i think i got into nfts like a week after mint and you know when you first get into nfts like
you know you start with like damn do i want to spend a hundred dollars right and then like
you get used to spending a hundred then it's like, ah, do I want to spend a thousand dollars?
like when I got in apes were already at like a thousand bucks or something
So it was just like out of even the comprehension,
but I bought like a cheetah who I insured wicked ape.
I just kept following below apes,
just thinking I'm never going to get in,
And, uh, and meanwhile, I'm never going to get in.
And meanwhile, I'm listening.
Want to spend $1,000 on gas?
And then now we're like, oh, five figures on an NFT, easy. But when you first get in, you're so money shy with Ethereum.
But that whole time I was listening to that lo-fi channel.
And the lo-fi channel created this nostalgia and this aura and this awe for the club.
And then fast forward to me having this dream Cheetah Ape.
And then listening to lo-fi and thinking about back then when they were like half a million dollars.
And it's just, it's surreal to be like, you know, back then I'm like, I'll never make it in this club.
You know, thanks to the bear, I was able to get it in.
But like listening to lo-fi has got a different feel now.
that happened after the mint I think it was
out of the world like the excitement
there were some travel restrictions because of that virus
so not everyone could make it to
NYC but there was that huge line there was no token proof right so there was a huge line uh which by
the way guys if you see beast i think he skipped that line so if you see him uh yeah and you were
in that line he he skipped that line and he got in so uh yeah yeah, I'm not saying that, you know, you should punch him, but maybe you should tell him to buy you
it was crazy, man. And NFT22
and when I experienced that
I was like, oh my god, this is
something that you cannot
experience it, you know, otherwise
you're in the club. So, yeah, and it was true because ApeFest23 was amazing, 24, incredible, and now 25, guys.
Gucita, before we get into what you're cooking, I actually traveled.
I talk about Time Machine.
What the fuck is playing here?
Is that you playing songs here?
But guys, I traveled to the future.
I traveled to the best suite in Las Vegas, guys.
And I don't know what happened there,
but I actually have a recording, so it's crazy.
Control yourself. God damn, were you putting some pants? Phil, do not go in the bathroom. Just calm down. there, but I actually have a recording, so it's crazy.
will you put on some pants? Phil, do not go in the bathroom. Just calm down.
Phil, there is a tiger in the
bathroom. What's going on?
There's a jungle cat in the bathroom.
He's not kidding. There's a tiger in there. Oh, fuck.
There's a tiger in there.
Guys, if this is happening, oh my God,
we have to do a live stream on Ove.
Oh yeah, we got to do a live stream on Ove,
You can start tipping because if we have a tiger in the bathroom,
that's got to be crazy ape fest, right?
And we have a good cheetah cheetah cheetah so maybe we
will have cheetah in the bathroom i don't know no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
no i mean like cheetah not good cheetah no good cheetah is not gonna be in our bathroom but
i fucked up life but we will have a cheetah a cheetah don't sleep in this for sure
you're gonna walk in your suite
and I'm gonna be in that bathtub
I can't imagine spaces bro
and there is an inside joke
a cheetah which you don't know about
and grateful April when choosing hotels with like the biggest bathtubs with the view and everything.
So when everybody's parted, he's like bragging like how amazing three hours he spent in his bathtub.
Bro, I was tired from all the walking around during ApeFest, man.
But can you imagine that we'd be like hangover, but instead of really tiger, we'll be like, man,
we had a Guchita in the bathtub. Holy shit, bro. Like that's, oh my God.
That's gotta be crazy. That's gotta be crazy. But yeah.
Yeah. Thank you for clipping. Thank you. This space is recorded.
Transcript is, it's going to be a lot of fun for AI. Yeah. Can't wait in five
years. AI, who am i holy shit
that's not gonna be good but gucci i know you've been building a lot of things in byc ecosystem
right and gucci tied me up and was like man i'm cooking something really dope and i was like holy
smoke we are celebrating four years you have to. You have to share that with all of us.
So yeah, that's my question, bro.
How can people participate?
And let's fucking go, man.
Yeah, so it's a free to enter bracket style May Madness Ape Chain NFT tournament. So we wanted to bridge the gap between season one and season two and
spotlight, keep everybody engaged and, you know, competing with each other and create a new
leaderboard. So we just announced this week that May Madness is starting next week on Unboxing
Web 3, which is one of my MBAs where we unbox everything popping off in the space from like physical
products to games to dApps to IRL events. So we got a YouTube channel. I think we've done like 160
unboxing videos. Like we've done everything over the last two years. So check it out.
But yeah, so under Unboxing Web 3 on our website UnboxingWeb3.com, you'll find a bracket.
And you choose, you know, we basically took the top 15 Ape Chain NFT collections from Spotlight.
So however they ranked on Spotlight, 1 through 15, we broke that out into a bracket style tournament and so
each uh day of may we will be posting videos um talking about that matchup you know talking about
each nft collection and then there'll be a you know a twitter poll for the communities to come
out and see which nft project
advances to the next round of the tournament and then like if you've got the best bracket
you get we uh we're doing um a purse of a thousand a plus a bunch of nfts from all the collections so
like whoever's got the best bracket you know gets uh the purse man Man, that's really, really
If you are not following also
that profile and give them a follow, because
hard. Oh my god, guys, you've been killing it.
It's absolutely... Oh, I'm
just playing that video. I'm just playing that video.
Definitely click that pin tweet guys check it out. So so what's the what's the easiest way going to website and and then sign up there and play there?
Yeah, it literally takes like it's it literally takes like 30 seconds
You just go to the website you and then you see the
bracket and you just push um submit bracket and then it'll walk you through each matchup so like
the first one will be like you know rilla's verse uh whoever they're up against and then you choose
and then it'll give you the next one and then it'll give you a final bracket um and then you
can follow along on unboxing web 3's twitter page so like turn on notifications and then you can follow along on Unboxing Web 3's Twitter page.
So turn on notifications, and then throughout the rest of the month,
we're going to be bringing you those videos, breaking down the matchups,
and vote for your project and try to get a perfect bracket.
But also, yeah, follow along on Unboxing Web 3 Twitter.
But if you want to see all the, you know, videos, subscribe to our YouTube channel. Because, like I said, we've done 160 unboxings over the last two years.
And, you know, you might come across something from the Web 3 space that you're not aware of or that you didn't know about.
Just, like, sharing with the world trying to bridge
web 2 to web 3 showing them all the cool shit we're building
yeah and you're doing absolutely amazing job also shout out to dilly and uh also follow them
on instagram it's it's really cool that you guys keep uh posting doing stuff. So this is really cool. So guys, go ahead.
There are two pinned tweets.
that this is in between the spotlight one
and the next one before the next one.
So I'm super excited about that. I'm sorry
Tino DMed me and he was like man
for a hoarder and you don't have a jingle for
he was really disappointed. Tino I'm
I actually got a custom jingle
So I'll play it and you can announce it again, maybe in short form.
It's like a cheetah, cheetah!
So, Guchita, that was your...
Cheetah in the bathtub, dude. I speak Hindi. I heard it.
Yeah, it's not AI I actually hired
no one understands that because I have no idea
what it is it's saying right so you
but man you've been cooking
orange backgrounds are best orange backgrounds are best
who's talking guys I don't see anyone here on
stage talking uh but yeah i'll share the story quickly because uh damn but ernest he has like a
square pfp man he's probably only one of course byc account but he has a square pfp it's kind of
flex to be honest it's it's it's cool of flex, to be honest. It's cool.
Yeah, it takes more space, right?
Guys, yeah, we have Nana here joining.
I still don't see Pancho.
Don't worry. I heard your voice. I can recognize it! But Pancho, don't worry, don't worry.
I heard your voice. I can recognize it because I met you IRL, so you're still good, but we have
We have two LAMFers. I'm like, what's going on there? What happened?
Gene, Nana, give me your feelings. How do you feel today? Holy shit!
Bro, I'm just glad it's over. I don't know how nana feels but yeah i i feel great
today personally i can forget to put everything in the past and then you know now i can actually
enjoy the playoffs now bro that shit was weak dude bro such a bad way to go out Oh my god
There's some questionable
I'm not really sure what he was doing
Oh, he didn't also know what he's doing bro
Exactly Bring Phil Jackson back You MFers big men in but oh he didn't also know what he's doing bro i think exactly bring phil jackson back
you mfers and shock yeah we got dominated we can have a whole episode on this yeah we have to do
that guys i don't know if you understand it but something is forming here live on stage
that will be the the game changer of sporting industry you never
like there's that guy you know you know him he's called something smith right he's kind of famous
i think he has a deal for 100 million dollars right now but he's not aware of four mfers nana
gene baron and grateful and we are going after him you know we gotta be the most favorite show about basketball
yeah and we are international because the best basketball players in nba right i think lakers
are like we want international players like janice right you don't want to bring you on this he's
coming right he's from europe we did luka yeah i think Luka. He's from Europe. We did Luka. Yeah, I think LeBron.
I think LeBron also is coming from Europe.
Yeah, I got to say, though, Luka was looking like an old man out there, though.
Like, he was holding his back, like, hobbling over.
He's like, you know, bro.
Guys, we need to do special spaces on that because it was weird shit what happened there.
But I'm so happy that you joined us
because you are such a, such a legend in PAYC club, guys.
I'm so grateful to know you.
Gene, you know, I saw you for the first time.
NYC Jenkins, the valet party.
You drove there from the airport and the first thing you did,
it wasn't saying, hey, what's up, Grateful, you European MF-er.
You were like, hey, here are my pins with my ape on it.
And here you have a beanie and here you have this and that, man.
I was like, damn, that's a made by apes genius.
So Gene, share with us your story and your
highlights and puncher don't worry don't worry your turn will come your or you
can change your pfp I know you have more apes
oh man well so my my ape story is pretty boring, but hold on.
Sorry, Nana's texting me on the side.
I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
But no, my ape story is pretty boring.
I mean, I got in through NBA Top Shot and then saw, just like everyone else, that actually got me onto Twitter.
Like, Grateful, you were talking about it earlier.
And from there, I saw everyone talking about these apes and posting about it and i think the founder changes pfp to an ape at some point
and i was like what the hell is this so luckily like early like earlier that year i had um you
know ventured into ethereum nfts again because nba top shots sort of onboard me to the idea of you know digital assets
ownership and all that stuff so I started a MetaMask wallet and you know bought an AvaStars
which was my very first ETH NFT and then luckily I had that wallet created because then when
when I saw all this stuff on the apes go down I saw it was easy for me to like just fund the wallet again with a few, a couple more
ETH or like, I think I had like 0.6 ETH. And, um, and then I bought three apes on May 1st for like
0.2 ETH each, something like that. So I didn't mint. So surprise, surprise, I'm not a true OG,
but, um, I bought the day after the mint closed on secondary um shout out to kennyb.eth if he's
still out there my god i don't know but but um i uh i got three apes and um and uh and i actually
forgot about him for for like a couple months and then saw that they were pumping it was like
one eth or two eth and i think eth was like 2400 2500 at the time i was like one eath or two eath and i think eath was like 2400 2500 at the time and i was like
25 000 probably it's real money 25 000 yeah one one day um those open sea notice that you get
what was that man i was like hold on what was it doctor what was the guy that always the robot that always
bid at dr uh some like it was it was the bid on everything it was dr uh i can't remember
dr barry dr dr no it's dr barry i think
everybody would get bids from i didn't mean to interrupt you gene dude i was just saying no
no no i'll get it i'll get it i was letting you guys cook but um uh where was oh yeah so anyways
they started pumping and then i was like all right let me let me sell something let me figure
out how to actually sell something because i had never you know done it was obviously the second mt i ever bought so i figured out how to list it and then boom it was gone for like you know 0.5 eath or something like
that and i was like holy or no no no no 0.5 eath um um it was whatever the floor price was because
i think i listed that floor and then it was that moment where i was like where everything clicked
i was like holy shit there's's a way to get in,
to onboard your ETH, buy an NFT, sell it on this platform, this like amazon.com of NFTs,
and then cash it out. Like that ETH showed up in my MetaBask. I was like, holy shit.
And that sort of completed the loop for me. And I was like, and from then I was just hooked forever.
And, you know, the rest is sort of history from there man it's amazing that it was your
second eat nft because it was my second eat nft too which is absolutely crazy and i was able to
buy it even though i'm i'm kind of retarded and I was still able to buy that.
And those bits were absolutely insane.
It's funny because I bought a few more apes.
I bought one ape with bunny ears.
And then I was like, I'm not sure about bunny ears. So I sold it for profit.
I bought Punk's Comic with that profit.
And I bought another ape.
So I actually flipped one ape in my BYC history.
Beast was flipping apes for 0.01 profit.
And I remember Beast telling me,
man, I sold now for 0.01 profit or something like that,
but I will buy it back when they hit some stupid number,
like 0.4 but they they they shoot
you know to like to eat or something like that and yeah he got in uh you know sometime after
so it's a cool story he's on plane right now so he couldn't be here uh or or he knew we're gonna
share this story and and he faked us i't know, but he's probably on plane right now.
But Gene absolutely loved the journey.
Because of this Mint, guys, we all met.
Yeah, we all met IRL because of one Mint.
And it's crazy what founders did.
They put this collection together.
Now we are hanging here, creating Made by Ape stuff.
We are flying to Vegas together.
Isn't it crazy? it's crazy it like
it's crazy right it's wild when you when you talk about nyc and you know and tino you mentioned
earlier like you guys were you said something about oh that's what got me thinking about ip and
what should i do with mine and like for me it's like to hear that because of something i did is
wild to me it this is truly like blind leading the blind type shit.
You know what I mean? Like I was just fucking around, finding out not, you know, just doing
whatever with the IP that we were just, you know, given the rights to and just doing as much cool
shit as I could figure out at the time. Obviously, it's like super basic, right? Like, oh, put monkey
on Beanie or whatever it was, right? But, but it's cool to see now how
far we've come and like people have like created legitimate businesses and, and, you know, shows
and other, other things that, and we've just sort of pushed this, this space much further. And it's
like that quote that always, that I always go back to, it's like, if, if I've seen this far, it's,
it's because I've stood on the shoulders of giants or
something like that so for me when i hear that when you guys say stuff like that it's it's an
honor for me to you know be considered in you know as as a giant in that perspective even though i'm
just you know five nine or whatever it is a hundred percent bro it was uh very inspiring and
and i was there uh at the Jenkins event.
That's where I met you as well.
You were like, oh, I'm Gina.
I heard you on Gratefuls podcast.
I'm like, wow, bro, what's going on here?
And you actually gave me the orange beanie as well.
And it's funny that before Lisbon,
I think you were already in Lisbon and you were complaining that you forgot orange beanies
and I'm like, bro, I just had one,
the one that you gave me in my hands a few minutes ago
and I brought it back to you, right?
Oh my God, talk about full circle.
I owe you another beanie when I see you in Vegas.
Yeah, MF can't ship it because of tariffs, right, man?
You ship beanie to Europe and it was
But it's fun. Maybe not, but it's fun.
But all the stories from NYC.
going from South Beach to downtown, right?
Oh, bro, guys, another crazy thing.
I went to one place here in Prague and I met the guy who actually sponsored the brunch in Miami.
I was like, shit, that's crazy.
It's crazy, right? Full's four years it's crazy right
full circle man full circle the brunch was also dope yeah and speaking of terrorists like tino
couldn't make the brunch but uh grateful delivered a care package i got a nice you know rug uh from
life is porno and uh as well as like a beanie so speaking of beanies and yeah man it's crazy crazy how this
networking club works it's amazing i love it by the way i'm most likely gonna spend a month
in la in july so definitely oh yeah Oh, we got a link for sure.
Nana, are you hosting other space today or you good?
No, yeah, I'm going to do that, you know.
So I saw Pancho's hand, you know, but if you're hosting in like eight minutes, so go ahead
And you know, I still don't see puncher here on stage. So I don't know something with a background color probably but I
See him I see purple. I'm a for like purple is secondary
You know, and by the way, I don't I texted gene and gene I didn't mean to distract you
Because I'm on my desktop my phone twitter is giving me crazy issues right now i can't even load my shit and then like all of a
sudden i hit reload and then there it posted something to the it pinned something to the top
so if i if if you saw something pinned up like i tried to delete it like i don't know
what happened it's a mess today it's a mess today bro what's going on what's going on bro i had to
i had like i'm the worst multitasker so i had to go quiet as i was reading reading your text
but we're good we're good but really dope man i love how you were playing a little bit of the uh
um the lo-fi channel actually like throughout the that like the entire year like that shit would be
up in the background while working you know while dj and uh yeah, it's just a good vibe, man.
So Nana, what's the story?
You know, we pinned a tweet from Baron.
What's the story of your Apes, guys?
So you got Barron's and your Ape?
We're brothers on the blockchain, you know, 2338 and 2339.
Yeah, I mean, I was in a really tough position,
like Gene and like many others.
And, you know, I think, was it, who, was it Dojo?
Or someone, did someone mention, oh, Baka?
i wouldn't say i i did uh you know but but it was you know was messing around with uh
with just like blockchain nfts uh just really fascinated about digital asset ownership, especially as a creator.
And then as a collector, Topshop really piqued my interest and started to kind of gain wind of
being able, like, oh, the conversations either happening on clubhouse where I can learn about a lot
of this stuff, but to continue the conversation,
it was only on Twitter and, you know, clubhouse,
the only social network at the time you can connect to was Twitter.
And so the conversation was, was on Twitter.
If I wanted to talk NFTs, Topshop.
And, you know, a lot of the people I started to follow
started to change their profiles, you know,
Like I saw seeing a lot of Topshop people actually
like start posting about it
i was like all right cool i'm gonna try and mint this but at this at the same time i it was like
a really difficult time in life uh i was my mom was admitted to the hospital took her to the er
you know then for some for this for one reason found out, you know, she had stage four cancer,
metastatic, you know, stage four cancer. And my brother and I like stopped working, you know,
it was during COVID. They didn't have a room for her. Like we were in the hallway. We had to trade
off because only one guest at a time it was just like such a horrible time
during that that stage and i missed the mint and um it was something you know that pop in
top shop packs chopping it up with baron about crypto and nfts of that this was like the escape. And then when I missed the mint,
I he was like, dude, I got for like, I got you.
And he dished it over to me after I sent my wallet
and it was just like no questions asked.
You know, he was like, happy birthday, you know, good luck, you know, with with everything going on, like happy birthday you know good luck you know with with
everything going on like love you bro and uh from there you know it was always about just being
like a ticket a membership you know like you only need one there's no additional benefits for the concept of being a member of this club.
And that was really intriguing.
And it was like so, it was such a creative channel for me.
And then even posting about some of the situations I was going through,
And even posting about some of the situations I was going through, I can't tell you the amount of support in DMs I got from apes through that time.
You know, and yeah, it was really special, man.
And that's when I knew something really special was happening.
And I just doubled down and throughout life just continued to figure out like, wow, this is already added so much value
for me being able to connect with others and be a part of this community that I constantly just
ask myself, like, how do I add value? I have so many other things I'm doing outside of this space.
many other things I'm doing outside of this space. How do I add value to this? And that's been the
mission. So yeah, man, super excited to still be here. And it's, you know, the legacy is on chain.
It's pretty cool to see people's stories and just hear different journeys throughout.
It's absolutely unbelievable, right?
And now you can see your batch, other page.
You can see Baron's batch, Yuga Labs, right?
And also, our sponsor, Nana, has been our sponsor with other space since
day one I can love you guys
zero eat he's starting sending us zero eat
and then he switched for zero
ape coin even better chain baby
man it's so wild, it's so wild.
And it's so good to be in the club with you.
It's really special, right?
And you've been building other page.
Guys, go there, claim your badges.
There was that crazy game that you could play.
Also, the avatar over the weekend, right?
Join the Grateful Show community.
You can join Grateful Show community there, right?
Yeah, no, I appreciate all the support.
And especially what you guys have done to consistently throughout the week.
lifting their spirits with your attitude, lifting,
giving people awareness of what's going on in the space and within the club,
I feel, you know, just going back to adding value, you all have, you and you all and this community has really added a lot of value to my life, you know, just being able to wake up, you know, I'm on the West Coast.
You know, your spaces usually happen around the time I'm like either getting ready or doing some admin work during the day.
And it's just, it's perfect.
You know, it's a great way to get my day started.
And the story is just amazing.
And the story of Brothers with Baron, I think this, wow, this is so amazing. I love you. You know that. And the story is just amazing. And the story of Brothers with Baron.
I don't know from which movie was it.
I got my bracket. Guchita so you know it's crazy how you're pitting these
teams up against each other man you're crazy for that one well dude we uh we what we did was we
just followed like you know ncaa double a tournament rules so like if you're a high
seed you go up against a low seed in the first round you know so
yeah we didn't get too creative you know we wanted to add a bunch of other badass collections but we
figured you know in order to make this fair we had to go like just objective about it you know
oh yeah who do you got winning
who you got winning? Who you got winning?
Hey, don't worry about that, man.
Guys, they were just, you know, eliminated from the playoffs.
Like, yeah, let's not talk about winning.
Hey, you're part of it too, man.
You're part of the Laker game.
Come on. Fuck. Damn. That was crazy. That was crazy. holy shit you're part of the Laker gang come on fuck damn
you were beaten basically by
I don't know what else to say
I know you don't want to talk about it no edwards uh yeah low-key jordan's son
100 bro he's exciting man i love i loved him ever since he entered the league and it's just so dope
to see him fucking turn it on you know what i And he's just, he's exciting to watch.
I'm really, really stoked for his career, man.
It's got to be interesting to see the round two, right?
But guys, we are talking about basketball here
because we are teasing the biggest show in the sporting history.
But it's going to be the biggest show
It's going to be made by apes.
And we are going after that ESPN
and I don't know what are the names
of those stations. I don't even what are the names of those stations.
I don't even care about those names because when you're the number one, you don't care, right?
So it's got to be so much fun.
We have legendary apes there, but Nana, such a great story.
Oh my God, I didn't know about it.
And that you have the numbers that are next to each other, right?
Such a beautiful ape also.
Can't wait for Vegas, guys.
I know you might be driving, right?
Oh, I'm not really sure, man.
Let's get a Greyhound bus, MFers, you know, let's go together
Let's meet in LA, date a Greyhound, you know, start drinking and doing crazy shit
Even I don't drink but maybe I should start. We might have to have like, you know, a little pregame party in LA for anyone that's in LA
That's what I'm talking about, bro
Yeah, I can't imagine like explaining to customs, right? Like what you're doing in LA. I'm talking about, bro. Something. Yeah, I can't imagine explaining to customs, right?
Like, what you doing in LA?
Because we have a warm-up here, you MFers.
Don't listen to us right now.
It's AI-generated voice and text and everything.
But, man, legendary story legendary story legendary show legendary journey
uh through web3 absolutely crazy can't wait to see you in vegas it's gonna be it's gonna be insane
man we have to do some crazy shit and tino is already worried a little bit but uh it's gonna
be okay tino it's gonna be okay uh i know i'm color blinded and i don't see pancho's uh background
color maybe i don't even see his ape.
The same happened to Betteed, but I somehow get him on stage.
So Pancho, how are you doing today?
And I actually found a doctor, the doctor who actually sent those offers.
It was Dr. Jones I know it's Tino's kind of music, I know he loves that, he started dancing probably, but
yeah, Banjo, how are you doing today?
I'm good, I even changed my background as an olive branch to the Aquamarines.
I mean, we're all family, right?
And, you know, shout out to all the OGs.
I put a lot of the stories and stuff in the chat.
There's been such a crazy history.
But, you know, shout out to Josh Ong to organize the first Ford Ape Yacht Club meetup in Central Park, being so instrumental in the first yacht party on the Halloween night.
on the halloween night um but you know my journey was like you know i'd been an artist for years in
new york city kind of gathered my shekels together to buy this house uh impossible sort of thing and
uh in kingston new york and and uh had to pick cash because nobody will get no banks would give me a loan to uh as a self-employed individual
um it just didn't you know the numbers didn't work for the for the hedge fund guys or whatever
so um i you know bought a house cash and i was like working my ass off covid hit through all
kinds of curveballs and then on the day of the mint out, May 1st, four years ago today,
I was like digging foundations, wheeling barrels full of dirt to different parts of my property to
repair and listening in on all the clubhouse spaces. People were making ape noises.
I even changed my PFP to like, I made a weird monkey face and took a selfie,
uh my pfp to like i made a weird monkey face and took a selfie put it in there and feeling all the
fomo feeling all the fomo and it just kept working it was a hot you know sort of spring day and uh
somewhere in that afternoon i like remembered i had a little dogecoin that i bought back in January at three cents. And so I was like, wait, let me check this.
And it mooned up to 39 cents.
So I then put a new sewer line in my house and bought four apes.
The rest kind of a wild ride started from there.
And it's still a process, man.
It's like all all the uh increased
materials and i had like irl rugger of a roofer come along and you know not finish the job after
i'd given him a bunch of money and you know the rugs and scams in irl is just as real as Web3, let me tell you. Damn, bro.
I've had the, you know, and I've been building this IP since, you know,
I first minted a derivative of Poncho for my partner, Jennifer English, who's not in the room today.
But she's, you know, we started talking about building this food brand way back then i
gave her the board picasso i had the the sand vandal ape remixes back then and was doing
derivatives with everybody and uh you know posted some of those early clubhouse rooms with boris
and cryptonovo and and uh josh and and so many others, Taylor, what the fuck.
Many people have moved on and no longer have Twitter handles or whatever.
But those clubhouse days are golden.
You know, I would then like there was there was quite an amazing time because I'd sit out in this geodesic dome in my
backyard. I got an office trailer and stuff I've been living from.
And, uh, people would hear the rain on the dome at night and they're like,
what, where the hell are you? It's wild, but you know, life changing.
And, uh, you know, we're just, uh, keep building, keep, uh,
networking, like, and ret retweet it's always free
to support family and uh you know go out and make your favorite projects and support the builders
you love all the builders out there i can't name them all you know baron nana everybody in the
audience man just full of great people.
And so great to be a part of it all.
I absolutely love to hear that.
Also, guys, click on Pancho's profile.
He's minting bubblegums on Ape Chain.
And I guess it's going to be the pinned tweet.
It is pinned tweet, right?
The artist by Hydro Animation.
So definitely check that out.
And Pancho, absolutely love that you switched to Aquamarine background
and that you recognize the...
And I'm not making this any better right now, probably.
I'm a little allergic, you know.
So, you know, I also got to shout out, you know,
good friend and grateful family lauro masna for nft wall making it a pillar a landmark in new york
city uh you're on there with me tino and tino creating the ape street gallery uh you know all
the people that just contribute in their own little ways
all around the globe to make it real come to see me and art basil and seeing my artwork and
you know aaron and earnest and all these people that bad teeth can't name them all baka dojo
order just just quality people all around best That's club on the internet.
Hell yeah, 100%. Absolutely love it.
We also met during Art Battle 2022.
You showed me your art IRL.
It's always worth it, guys.
If you can travel for IRL events,
I know people are having blasts in Dubai right now.
tweeting that if you write
blockchain, they'll start
drinking it. So maybe you can go there and write
some crazy drink that can
be, I don't know, vodka or something.
But it's always great to meet you guys. some crazy drink that can be vodka or something.
But it's always great to meet you guys.
This time it's going to be Vegas 100%, maybe even earlier.
And Pancho, when you switch the background,
Man, I almost... Yeah, I see the Aquamarine.
And Hunter says he's right nearby me, man.
It's crazy. Yeah, dude, we're freaking neighbors. And Hunter says he's right nearby me, man. I never know. It's crazy.
Yeah, dude, we're freaking neighbors.
Such an elite background.
And whenever I see your background, guys,
and probably whenever I see apes and mutants and doggos and codas and Ardys,
this is what plays in my head.
This is what plays in my head.
Yep, yep, that's it. That's it. Oh my god, so beautiful guys, love it, love it.
I also brought the legend 288, can you imagine he minted so early?
Or, yeah, I hope you minted right, 288 is such a low number, it's also VIP place in the other side,
and it's also a place that I want to visit as soon as I can.
Betid, welcome here. Oh my god, you're such an OG with everything you've been building in the club. How are you doing today, man? I am sick as fuck but I just wanted to hop up here
and say how grateful I am for you and Tino and like literally hundreds of people that I've met over the past four years
um it's it's insane I think you go through life and you you know you have sort of your group of
friends that you meet from doing what you do um and so like to actually have a new way to meet
new people that have similar interests and like you can just vibe with all these cool people it's been the best best part of BAYC it is the best club on the internet
oh it 100% is man and I remember when you brought um it was you brought whiskey probably to to the
event that we hosted in Miami right and people started drinking dead and everyone started having a great time.
Oh my God, it was so good.
Yeah, it was the start of something really special
And now we have other side, Las Vegas, Ape Fest,
and so many more activations.
It's got to be a wild year still, guys, trust me.
And Betit, you're such a legend, man.
Any highlights from your side
anything that was really special during those years for you i mean it's crazy like i i tweeted
about it but it's like everything i think about all day long now didn't exist four years ago
and that's such an interesting like opening of horizons and
opportunity. And I just like, have always been excited to share that. And that's why I vibed
with you so much, because I think like, we have a front row seat to the future here, like the still
people don't understand what's going on with this technology and how it's going to change the world. And we've been, you know, getting to understand how that's going to happen firsthand for four years or more or less.
You know, it's like the opportunities that we have because of the technology we understand
and the network we've built here are going to serve us all incredibly well as we move forward in the future. So, you know, the highlights are
literally too many to name. ApeFest, the first one, like first real event post-COVID was so weird
to be out and so much fun at the same time. Like we soft launched 288 at the next year in New York during ApeFest
and what else? I mean, Hong Kong, like Lisbon, every meetup that we've done, like just these
chances to get together and share time with people has been the best part.
And then, you know, getting to work for 10KTF and Made by Apes and launching a project on Ape Chain.
Like all of these things, like they just keep piling up.
I looked back and I actually like I minted some like ape human bodies on some of my photography, like I think on May 3rd of 2021. So, you know, just that
inspiration to create because of the decentralized IP that we own from these apes was inspiring that
day and it's only grown. And I'm so hyped to have like this new wave of people feeling that through
through a chain, you know understanding like
collecting and trading nfts and all that stuff so i'm just hyped i i'm i there's hundreds of people
that i've met over these years and and i really appreciate it so i'm gonna hop down i'm so sick
but i i just wanted to say thank you for all you've done at you and tino over these years like having a constant
space like this is insane and uh congratulations to you guys thank you so much betty
what a what an incredible what an incredible journey right and as you mentioned minting one
nft can change course of your life, which is absolutely wild, right?
It's very hard to describe it to people outside of Web3.
Everything that we are experiencing here, right?
Not only the spaces, but also that if you travel to whatever country, you travel to Spain, you hit up Gatsby, he's there.
You travel to Italy, you have so many apes there.
You travel to US, like you have apes everywhere.. You travel to US, you have apes everywhere.
You can travel to Japan, we have apes there.
Everywhere you find people that will help you
with whatever you need in those countries.
And with Ape Chain and all the excitement
with the other side coming,
I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
And I know a lot of MFers, you guys, you have
what was the name of that?
Primal Instinct. Oh my god.
The thing they shared looked absolutely
Betty, do you also have ODK for 288?
have access, but I haven't
started building anything. I've just been working on the
shita no kaze right now okay awesome awesome yeah it's gonna be also amazing to visit you there so
man so many so many crazy things tino what do you think and i i'm enjoying it so much because it's
uh so many different stories so many different things things. And one more thing that pops up to my mind is these kind of sub communities
or like the group chats and everything that's happening in the group chats.
It's also ApeChain that brought a lot of fun and kind of reconnected people
and regrouped them in a different group chats.
Of course, our DMs are a mess,
at least mine definitely are,
but it's still really cool to every once in a while,
you know, to go and dig deeper,
even to get into like a deeper conversation to people.
And I think this is also very strong.
And what you mentioned with traveling
and being able to connect to Apes
basically anywhere in the world.
I think that's very special.
I'm actually going to Sardinia in two days
and I found out with Italian apes
that there is no ape in Sardinia.
So I need to do some onboarding there in IRL.
But other than that, it's pretty crazy
that this club of very like-minded people,
what are the possibilities?
It's basically, we decide what the possibilities are
because we can help each other.
We can, there are so many people who have different skill sets,
who have different networks, who can help you out.
We get super excited when talking about Made by Apes.
You know that we love that on the show.
And I think this is also something that we can be helping each other and we are helping each other.
You saw today, Pouser and Hoarder, the connection from across the world, basically.
You can create stuff together, create products, create projects.
you can create uh stuff together create products create projects and uh you see uh you see alo with
uh with xeer and uh and rida i think you know like the different parts of the world uh it connects us
and i think uh as betty said we are sitting in the front row of something like that that's gonna that's changing the history and and i'm not
exaggerating i think the history of ip and uh and not only ip is uh is being changed right now life
and we're seeing that we're we're there so so congrats to all of you guys who are here who are
here with us uh we appreciate every single mfr here in the audience and in who comes up to the stage
and supports us retweets and yeah we love to uh to give space to the artists to the builders
since day one grateful so i'm super grateful for this uh the platform that that we can be given
and uh also together with beast and and we yeah we're we're not stopping for sure we can be given and also together with Beast. And we, yeah, we're not stopping for sure.
We can't wait for the other side, right?
And the aspect that you mentioned is absolutely crazy.
You're looking for 3D, you have Rida
and many other artists, right?
We also have Eidro Animation and so on and so on.
And whatever you need to build,
you can build with a community here in this space.
And you always find someone who can do the work.
And the utility of that is really huge.
So I absolutely love that.
I know also BALYC Clubhouse is in the work.
And I am so hyped for everything that has happened
And I know, I know, I really feel it
that 2025 will be insane year for us. I really feel it. I don't know why, but I feel it's going
to be crazy. And you see, it takes time. Like how many projects are there that minted in 2021?
Like, you know, if you look at the map, not many survive.
And we not only survived, but we are thriving.
And people are still hyped, even maybe more hyped than they used to be.
I enjoyed being here, talking to you guys, having fun.
Yeah, supporting builders. builders and yeah what a journey
and one more thing i'm super grateful for all the new members that were able
to join the club not only thanks to ape chain and flipping their way uh through but also like
different different artists such as uh pauser that we mentioned here, Nevermore we have also in the club.
These guys just from seeing what's possible
and how are we using the IP?
So it's always good to be able to show
And I think it's step by step, but it's amazing.
And I just want to anybody in the audience
who just joined the club, make sure to hit the welcome apes
and just connect to people, just talk to people.
I don't think nobody is going to do anything,
If you ask the worst case scenario, they don't reply as I usually do.
But other than that, it's all good.
Hell yeah, that's the alpha guys.
I also see other spaces running.
I don't want to overlap over them
because they also been running since the first other site
And I wanted to share one thing and I forgot it! Damn,
you know, four years ago it wouldn't happen but you know, we aged like 40 years. What the hell?
Meanwhile, I spin the X picker and for all the people who retweeted, I wanted to give away my
retweeted uh i i i wanted to give away my uh my og ethereum nft from infitor and the mutant ape
story and vegas ape gets it and uh another one uh the one from ape chain uh the the infitor and
street members goes uh to dojo roski so congrats guys uh i pinned the the pinned the tweets to the top, just shoot me the wallet addresses and
I'll send you the NFTs right away.
Guys, this was absolutely crazy episode.
I cannot wait to do another one next year.
It's going to be five years of BAYC.
And I hope we're going to be here after the Vegas.
Oh my God, Vegas will be game changer.
But guys, listening to all your stories
and everything that you've experienced so far,
and you know we have other side we have so many things to look forward to
and we have each uh other right we are such a strong community uh seeing people here in the
audience is incredible you know i've met so many of you whether on spaces whether IRL
it's incredible journey and we're gonna have a lot of fun
but you know it's also good to live
in the present moment and enjoy what's happening
journey. For me, it was absolutely insane to be able to run this show for over three
years and three months, something like that, probably, right? We've hosted so many great
guests here, so many of you here on stage,
had so much fun, learned so much,
So big shout out to you for your support,
for everything that you've been doing.
And yeah, let's fucking go.
Man, I think that was amazing ending.
So yeah, thank you so much.
I still wanted to share something
Maybe, maybe a reminder, maybe a reminder that another grateful show is on Tuesday and
Thursday as we're always on.
And we also released this as a podcast episode.
So make sure to, if you weren't able to
catch the beginning or something like that just make sure to to see in your favorite podcast
platform so it's always good to uh to remind that and thank you so much for all the support guys
um oh yeah man maybe i wanted to share with the ape sound something.
But guys, what a great show today.
Thank you so much for joining.
I had such a stupid idea to unmute and do ape sounds.
I don't know if it's good or bad.
Some MFers from north, from cold places,
they could clip it and say that apes are weird.
I don't know, man. or we do it or what you know fuck Tino's like don't do it
let's unmute you at my first

Yeah, Jamie's like, fuck taxes. Let's go, no?

The vibes will be through the roof.
