Good morning. Good morning. Let's retweet the room. It is Wednesday. We're done over coffee.
Let's get retweet the room. It is. Oh, I'm sorry. I have this like I'm like, what's going on?
I have myself in the background. Can you hear me? I think we have somebody that requests to speak,
but I don't see you up here. I don't know if you made it. I'm retooling the room right now. Get
more people in here. I hope you're having a beautiful day. There's a lot going on in Cardano.
We still have a lot of proposals out there. Treasury. The intersect budget process ends in a couple
of days, and life carries on and keep on keeping on. So that's how it is.
Just get myself up here so I can share some things with you guys since.
It's easier for me to share from my computer. So, good morning, everybody.
Now I get to see your beautiful faces. I see some people in the room. You're more
than welcome to come up and speak. We don't have a guest today, so that means we can talk about
anything you want. Share some cardinal news. Um, update people on you know happenings
in the community. There's a lot of things are going on, especially with um with all the attention
being focused on treasury withdrawals. There's a lot of other things are happening in the ecosystem
that don't get. The the spotlight. So I think it's a good opportunity to remind people of anything
you think is important. So remind you that there is a comment section.
You can always post things in there. I'll pin them up at the top if they're relevant.
You can come up and speak. You can chat with me. It doesn't seem like I have a co-host today,
but I might get one. Who knows? This is how the centralized curtain over coffee is.
You never know who's gonna come and help you out. Some days you get co-hosts. Some days you don't.
So come up here and keep me company. What's up, Orito? How are you doing? Good morning.
Happy Wednesday. What are you doing? So I'm I'm trying my coffee differently today. All right,
let let me give you a little background on this. So I get a message from my wife while I'm at work.
She says, "Hey, bring home some honey and some coconut oil." When I get home,
I'm expecting like this crazy recipe, some amazing dessert, whatever. And so I'm
I'm waiting patiently for her to be like, you know, go grab the stuff and do the thing. Well,
as it turns out, coconut oil is good for like thousands of things. I don't know.
But so I'm trying my coffee with coconut oil in it today and honey. And that's just the beginning,
apparently, because you can use coconut oil. So far, she's rubbed it on my face.
I think she greased the door hinges with it. Um, uh, so it's good for moisturizing. So much with it,
yes. Right, and apparently it's shelf stable. Like you don't even have to refrigerate it,
and it's like good for three years or whatever. So I'm like, okay. So now coconut oil is a part
of my life. Here we go. But yeah, I just wanted to share my liking your coffee with
with coconut oil. Well, I normally just do sugar. You know, I sometimes cream cream
if I you know creamer if I have cream, whatever. Like I'm not super picky about it. Um.
But but yeah, I just wanted to share that I'm I'm doing the coconut oil and honey coffee today. So
and it's fine. I I'm digging it. Yeah, there's some people that also share their coffee things
like Koski likes it with butter. He puts butter in his coffee. I thought that was an interesting one
too. So you guys are putting oils in your coffee. So yeah, interesting. Yeah,
apparently it's supposed to slow down the uptake of the caffeine, so you don't get jittery. Oh yeah,
and and if you put sugar too, the fats will help you slow down the the sugar from high spikes
as well. Anything with fat helps you, helps you. Anything, any kind of fat will help
you kind of slow down the the process of all this. You know, what's happening, book? GMGM,
just making breakfast in there. Mmm, yummy. Bacon egg tacos, my specialty. Bacon egg tacos.
Do you put any like taco sauce, or you just call it tacos because it's wrapped in a tortilla?
Wrapped in a tortilla. Okay, so American taco. I got it. Yeah, that's how my mama did it back
in the day. I love it. Yeah, tortilla waffle and something. I know, but some Mexican families
will still put some. Chilaquiles sauce or some shit in there, you know. Oh yeah, in Colorado, man.
Dude, I love huevos rancheros. I think they're great, but you have to have it with the crispies
in there—the like fried pieces of tortilla that are, you know. Can't just put. You like chilaquiles?
Yeah, I love chilaquiles. Chilaquiles seems to be like a favorite of most like all Mexicans.
Kind of like an easy like comfort food. Yeah, it's so good. So good. What's up, Marine?
Good morning. You're so ridiculous. Good morning, Jenny. I've missed you. Stop it!
Did you blast yourself? You did that. Oh my God. You know what they say?
If the mountain won't go to Muhammad, then Muhammad goes to the mountain. I mean, it.
I know it's the other side. I reversed it because the other side doesn't make sense. But yeah,
that's that's what it is, Epoch. Also, what I said doesn't make sense. Just a mountain.
She just puts her own horn, and she comes in, and she's like that. I love it so marine.
It's definitely marine vibes right there. So we allow it. I'll allow it. What's up, Jenny?
You abandon us. I'm not abandoning you. I'm up here. I'm some here. You left me with the likes
of Eepog and Chad and Lido. Well, yesterday, yeah, I didn't make it yesterday. Um,
the thing is that, guys, I love children, but you know what? When you swim
and you work out in the pool, and summer comes. And it's like you, you know,
life gives you like they test you. It's a test about whether you really like children or not,
because they take over the pool and destroy your whole like dynamic. And I still love them,
but I'm just trying a different approach instead of like forcing my love and intolerance.
I'm changing my schedule to see if that works. So I'm going to the pool in a different time to see
if I can escape the kids. And I'm just trying my best to, you know, just keep things. Nice
and acceptable. It's really hard, guys, to share the pool with a whole bunch of like people,
like a whole bunch of kids. They're in summer break. That's that's the deal.
So Jenny doesn't like kids. You heard it here. Yeah, I wanted, I wanted to say, yeah, you heard her.
Fuck them kids. But I see him. I didn't want to be rude. Just quickly, quickly
before we move on from this point, I wanted to point out that even when the children are not there,
the pool is still fifty percent pee after that point. Fifty percent. I think you're overestimating
the amount of volume in a child bladder. You would need thousands of children bladders to equal
the volume of fifty percent of a pool. So I'm going to say that that math does not check out.
Thank you, Puck. That helped. Definitely helped. Yeah, yeah. Oh my gosh, yes, Alex. Good morning.
Good morning, Jenny. Thank you for having me up. So I just wanted to not so humble brag.
About two weeks ago, I was pinging Phil if he'd check on my my my GitHub pull requests
for my coding bot, and I've actually had two merge two merges from the code my bot has pulled
and coded in Aiken. So that's happening. And as we sit here, I'm doing a Plutus pull.
So I'm not just full of cotton candy and crack. My coding agent's actually doing a thing. Yeah.
If I had a if I had a soundboard, I would give you a round of applause. So I'll do it with my hands.
Yeah, that's what I did it all for. That's why I did it. Thank you. Yep, just wanted to share.
It's it is possible. It's not AI slop, and the the the code merge actually happens. Well,
it still may be fifty fifty percent. But it's acceptable. It's eatable slop. There you go.
And you're sharing with the community, which is so important. It's it is good to share your wins.
It's so important to share your wins. It keeps you going, and it's just like uh, you know,
it's important. So thanks, Alex. Yeah. Feel. Thank you. You got you got to be able to tell someone,
and then you know realizing that the stuff is is real. You know, we hear so much about AI
and blahda blahda blahda, and it's like, okay, what are the actual results? And producing
actual verifiable results is uh pretty cool. That's awesome. Yeah. Keep us posted with more.
I see Lally in the house, and I just pinned up at the top this Clay Nation um. Sleep state,
you're doing. It's a World Cup. The World Cup is coming, guys. It's starting tomorrow.
I cannot be more excited. I am a Latina, and we love this stuff. So tomorrow.
So I guess you don't have much time left to enter this. So I I didn't know about this.
I just realized it. So I'm gonna enter it. I guess you can use your little predictions.
It's only 28. It's cheap. But I think the winner takes it all or something like that.
Go check it out. You can put like your predictions there. Who do you think is gonna win?
If it's gonna end up in a penalty, and different things. Simple. If you want to enter more than one,
you're gonna need more than one wallet because it's just one wallet per entry.
So one entry per wallet, however you want to say it. So yeah, that's uh, I thought it's pretty cool.
Good spirits, fun stuff. We always talk about how we need fun stuff and you know things that uh,
bring in some transactions that doesn't really cost that much, and you can have a little community
that you can you know spend the next three weeks in the World Cup fighting and having fun with.
So yeah, I see Lally, you came up here. I don't know if you made it, but I don't know
if you want to say anything about this. It's it's pretty cool. I love that you guys always bring in
some games and fun. I know, I love it. I actually, I joined yesterday purely to say, "Come on, guys,
let's all get on this." Nothing to do with the fact that it's Clay Nation, and obviously,
I'm extremely biased to anything to do with Clay Nation. Is you know, cool times a thousand.
But I mean, let's have some fun. Like you say, it's 28er, winner takes all.
And if you don't know anything about football, doesn't matter. Just guess. Just you know,
I'm I'm doing it. You doing it? I'm gonna do it. Yeah, I'm gonna. After getting our coffee,
I'm gonna connect my wallet there and make my predictions and just have fun.
I need help on these predictions. Mexico, all the way. Who's going to win? Mexico. Let's go.
Uruguay, number two. Argentina. Argentina and Portugal tie for third. Yeah.
I don't think that works, but it's time. It's time. We need some fun, right? We need.
We need to play. This is. We need more playtime, Lally. One thousand percent. We need more playtime.
Because if I don't play, we can't work, right? I think we've been playing too much.
That's why Ada is at six cents. Highlight. Whoops. When did that happen? It is not at six cents.
Stop it. Oh no, that's going to be someone's going to edit that, and that's going to be out.
It's going to be on CoinDesk. Ada's at six cents. You guys know the phrase "it's going to zero.
" I'm sure you've all heard of it. I've never heard of that. Okay, Jenny, have you?
Just for the sake of the exercise, I'll say no. I've never heard of it.
So it's what you say when something is going down. And you don't know when it's gonna end,
and people are freaking out. It's been known to be said here on Cardano, but I'm not saying Ada is.
Maybe, maybe you dreamed about that. Maybe it's not real. That's all, Lary.
I remember it went something more like one Ada is one Ada. That's what I heard. Oh, remember that?
Oh, I wish people like go back to that. One Ada is one Ada. That was like such a good way to carry
on. And I remember the one Ada is one vote, and then wait, is this a good idea? One ADA is one ADA,
and with twenty ADA, you can enter this uh sushi and how fun! The World Cup is coming, pa pa pa.
So I see, I see a couple hands up. I don't know what he thought. I'm gonna go with you first. Oh um,
I don't, I don't think my hand is up. I'm sorry. Man, this application. I don't know, man.
This app always shows me hands up. It's like it likes to um, you know, just humiliate me.
That's just how. No, that would be my job, Jenny. That the humiliation part—it's that is so true.
I should be the one doing that. Eepak, do you have a call today? I sent you co-host,
but I remember that you—you gotta do business. You you don't have time to play. No time to play. No.
Sounds fun. Let's see what else we have here saved in the bookmarks of Cardinal.
We have a challenge. There's a challenge that is live. From content creators, so this is fun.
This is from I'm gonna pin it out before I forget. This is June eleventh
is where the submissions close, and Ada Link has a challenge. Eleven is live,
and they have the pot is for five thousand six hundred Ada plus two two thousand four hundred USD in
and creator gear and merchant prices. I don't know exactly how the distribution of winnings go,
but the video content challenge. So you basically, in order to enter, you need to create
a short video introducing Cardano to newcomers at a real world event or at a public location.
So whatever you can do. If you're going to be in an event, then take advantage of that opportunity
and create a a video introducing Cardano. And if not, then you can go to a public location
and stop a random stranger and just tell them about Cardano. Um and then submit it.
You have until tomorrow to do that. And seems fun. I know that there's been some really good entries
in the past, so check it out. Uh, Iomi, you know Iomi Marine. I know you know her.
She won the last challenge, and she did an amazing job with her video. Maybe I should pull that one.
I saw it. It was great. It was great, right? Yeah, she did amazing. I love that girl.
She's full of spirit and like energy, and like she's really cool. She, she is. I think every.
I think the video to didn't get enough reach. To be honest, it was really cool,
and it was like quality. You know, when when you do a video in Africa, sorry to say. Well,
I'm not sorry. I'm in Africa. You know, like the camera quality is always
like people expect the worst in general. But her video, like the camera, was just amazing.
I love it. It's great. I ended up at the top for those. Since you said it didn't get enough reach,
check it out. It's really well put together video. Maybe you want to share it
and like help spread this efforts. And also give Ayomi a little follow, which is really cool.
And she did amazing job there. I think she deserves. Am I? Am I back? I guess you are. Okay,
you co-hosted me. I accepted, and it auto muted me. So you know when like you unmute
and it just remutes you, that I was just fucked. Like that, the Twitter gods. That's how it works.
No, you didn't. You didn't get me, Maureen. You didn't get me. You are so back. So, Epoch,
what did you want to back? Um. Well, do you guys have anything you want me to take to the TSE
in ten minutes? Can you take your brain? Because sometimes you forget it. Thank you.
Can you give us a TLDR? Do you know the scoop on the on the Harford? What's what's happening there?
I know that it was postponed. There's some things going on. Did you have any info on that? Yeah,
I mean, it all got blocked by the Osmius Kupo issue. They got forked and fixed,
and now it's we're we're back. I think, but now we have to make sure that the changes make its way
back to the main branch and blah blah blah. Um, yeah, little little difficulty this time,
but I think we're targeting like early, like pretty soon. I was gonna say early June. We're in June.
But yeah, let me get back to you with a hard fork date because I think we were playing with
that last meeting that I missed. Yeah, you guys are probably going to talk about that. What, Marie?
Oh, Lali, you were speaking. I can assist with these with these questions.
Everything is actually fully on track now. The The test net enacted last night at midnight UTC,
so everything is fully, fully on track. There will be an update bulletin goes out on Friday,
and expected, provided. I mean, there shouldn't be no issues. Shouldn't be no issues.
That's terrible English. Everything is looking good for for things to go on the fifteenth.
In time for the next epoch change on the eighteenth, so we should be all systems go.
Is there any call to action for like preprod and all that stuff? Or people,
SPO is supposed to be doing anything at this point, or just kind of like chilling and waiting? Yeah.
Um, upgrade. Test setups to protocol version eleven is the technical response to that.
I've pinned a post on on the jumbotron, and if you scroll down on the thread,
it's got all the the links for Cardano, NoDBSync, Ogmios, Kupo. There is a whole bunch
of information going out. It is, you know, as you would expect on the technical side. So,
but developers, SPOs, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade is the message. That's the call to action.
Follow the instructions. Do you have a hard fork working group, or where are those efforts
taking place? Yeah, there's a hard fork working group. That's currently a hard working
hard fork working group, meeting twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. People are able to, you know,
to drop in, watch, take part. There's communications going out pretty much every day
from that as well. There's a bulletin. There's a lot of outreach going on with.
Direct to developers, SPOs, people who are involved to make sure that they are completely ready
for everything going on. Obviously, TSC, as as you will know, is heavily part of that.
But the hard fought working group is where a lot of the sort of push comes from.
And it's been a it's been wonderful. I've been just sort of dropping in
and and being involved in those sessions and to see the work and everyone working together
across all sorts of people who don't necessarily always work together.
It's been really good to good to watch and see. You know, a real positive thing. And yeah,
there have been issues and problems, but they've really worked and sorted them out quickly.
Dealt with the issues as they've come up. It's all good. It's a positive. I think it's a win.
It is awesome to hear. I'm glad to hear. Finally, going to get Ramroson up and going,
with after some hiccups and all that. So yeah. Yeah, and the rationale for this is there's
some really beautiful wording, and and we've sort of we've held back on it because we don't want to
over. Overdo that, but obviously there's a lot of members who deeply remember Max,
and you know it's good to see that that will be carried very deeply within this. Well,
Val is going to bring us NASA's transactions. Let's go! We've been hearing about that for so long,
so yes, it's going to be exciting. And yes, shout out to. You know, our our friend
and beloved community member who's no longer with us, but we'll even unchain forever,
which is a beautiful thing. I love that tradition in Cardano. I really do. Um, Lolly,
since you're up here, I know you guys. Uh, I mean, the the interest like voting ends in
a couple days, right? June twelfth. Yeah. Friday. What? Friday. Friday. Friday. What a day.
It's a perfect day to end it, and everybody just like take a break. Oh, end it, buddy.
So the intersect, you guys. Um, yeah, we had we. I don't, I don't think I remember you guys
coming up here to talk about your proposal or anything. Um, your, you know, your requests
and whatnot. Do you wanna, do you wanna give us a TLDR or what? Intersect is um, asking funds for
or, you know, just call to action or something. Yeah, I mean the intersect proposal.
It's funny because obviously we're we're running this program. It's difficult for us
because we want to support everyone within the within within the process, and we're busy doing that.
But also, you know, those moments of oh crikey, we mustn't forget to support our own proposal
because that's pretty essential too, as far as we're concerned, right?
So our own our own proposal is in there currently. Looking like it has healthy support,
but obviously this is just the first stage. The intercept proposal is broken into
three three work packages, and I think that's under at the top, so it could help with something that
you guys posted three hours ago, so that that could help support. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah,
we've been posting out. We've broken out the three work packages, so there was a post went out
yesterday, one that's gone out today, and one that's going out tomorrow.
And these three areas are the the unowned processes. You know these things that that come up
for debate about, well, who should own this? Who should do it? The things
like the the constitutional committee elections, for example. Those sorts of things,
like who's who's going to do them if Intersect doesn't. So that's that's a small part of the budget,
but it is in there. And then the main part of the budget is the of the proposal is
the technical stewardship, which is the work package two, and that covers a lot of the things that
you know really critical to Cardano, the the Cardano nodes. DB sync, Cardano API,
and running the alive all that stuff. Yes, exactly. And a lot of the technical side of things,
which admittedly are not not my zone, but also the things that are absolutely critical to Cardano
that are covered under intersect. So that is that. That's the biggest part of the. Of the package,
and there is that question. You know, we don't want to go out and fearmonger, but there is that.
There is also that. I don't want to sound like some of the other proposals that we've seen recently,
where they've said, "Well, you know, if we don't do it, everything is going to fall to pieces.
" But at the same time, there is that question of, like, well, if Intersect doesn't do it,
where's it going to sit? Who's going to do this? Who's going to who's going to manage the nodes?
You know, they all that. That's where they are, and. So that is a really,
really hugely important bit to to get across is that all of this invisible work all
that doesn't get seen that is done and covered that we don't spend a lot of time shouting about it.
For me, you know, I keep saying, "Crikey, do people know that Intersect do this?" And I don't,
I don't think they do. So that, so I suppose that would be my main my main thing that
I'd want to get across. But we're going to save that. We're going to hope that it gets through over.
Through this stage one, and and then if we go on to hopefully be onto the next stage,
then I think we will be presenting a lot more information to really help people understand all
of those areas that that Intersect is covering and doing, and you know helping people to answer
that that big million dollar question or six million dollar question, I should say,
of what does Intersect do? Because you know how many times have you heard that? Well, many times,
Lally. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, and and I think other things to mention about the about the proposal
is it is slimmed down, and and Intersector very much committed to saying, look,
we can't just keep doing everything. We can't just keep having stuff piled on and piled on
and adding and adding, so that it becomes this sort of dumping ground for everything that no one
else wants to do. We have to be smarter. We have to we have to look at
how we can fund ourselves without Treasury. Treasury withdrawals and okay,
we're not going to be able to do all of it, but where we can, then we will.
And where we can reduce costs, then we will. You know, we're very aware of the things that irritate
the community within Intersect, and working. You know, Jack is incredible. As are you know,
pretty much the whole the whole team. And don't forget, it's only there's only like you know,
thirty thirty five people in Intersect. It's not this massive place with a massive PR department
and a You know, massive team doing this and a team doing that. We're talking about a couple
of handfuls of people trying to do an awful lot of work, and we're you know as slim as it can be.
So those are the things I'd I'd want to get across. Thank you, Lally. I pinned up at the top
the post you guys made earlier, which kind of like breaks it all down. Um,
definitely like to hear you, you guys, um, get more in depth. If you, I guess you said in
the next phase, you mean like for the treasury withdrawal portion of it once once it gets submitted,
is that what you're saying? Exactly. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're going to be um really breaking it down, and um, oh, we're going to be all over all over you.
You won't, you'll just be seeing nothing else except intersect if if that goes through,
and you'll know every single one of us intimately what we do. Day in the life of every.
You're gonna really rally for this, yeah. I know it's it's important. Yeah, you know,
you ask for it, you're gonna get it. I don't think anybody's gonna complain about that.
I think the more the more information we get, it just helps at the end of the day. I know it's hard.
It's hard out there, so I I really hope that you get the grace that you know that you deserve,
and you know at the same time, you know, just be open to to criticism and you know feedback
and all that good stuff. Yeah, I think that you know there is always light at the end of it,
and even there's restructurings that need to happen. I think there's space for it, you know. Slowly,
I want to ask you something. So I know that you you know interest like to have the continuity,
like the Cardano continuity suppliers that will take care of a lot of the stuff.
Is that still a thing? Because a lot of those people are doing their own proposals to manage a lot
of this stuff that used to be. And I try to ask this question because we interviewed a lot of them,
like Twee. Like, there's like a bunch of different of these organizations that are, you know,
that kind of carry into like the the whole stewardship of Intersect once everything was migrated,
right? But I just don't I don't follow as much as the the deep inside situation
on Intersect anymore. So I was just really wondering if things changed. If now that's just like.
Out there, this or or it's just like they still do work with an intersect for those things,
and then they're also requesting. Um, I I don't really know some of the things that
that we have to do for. I I think I know what you're asking, and I would
and I would say you know things are different to how they were one year ago. I'm sorry. Eighteen.
Yes. Oh, sorry. No, no. My I got cut off. Um, my my iPad went on. Oh. A blank.
So now what I was saying is like some of the things that there were like the proposals.
I was like it wasn't like under intersect like a couple years ago, under the you know when you guys
were the, but I don't know. Nobody really ever kind of gave me an answer on that.
I was just wondering if you. If you know more about that, I'm gonna I'm gonna re reimagine
your question to help me, and and I think I think what you're asking is
that you know are things the same as they were a year ago, eighteen months ago? And I would say no,
no, absolutely they're not. You know the way things worked before around grants
and and funding of things, that's just that's just not how things are anymore. We don't. You know,
we don't have those AFP processes. We don't have, you know, the committees
are structured differently. They don't have the same setup as, as it were. So, so no, you know,
most things that you see have come through Treasury withdrawal, and and Intersect supports those
in different ways. And for example, the administration services and things like that
that still continues, but we don't have. You know, yes, we can. Do you have suppliers that you send
this stuff to when you talk about like Corona Now, Corona See Alive, DB Sync?
Does this go to the suppliers or is this now in house? It's pretty much in house. Okay, okay,
so that that that kind of like a better question. Yeah, yeah, we got a load of contractors. No, no,
no, we're managing it. You know, all four of us. And you do have like a yeah you do do have
a technical team and and all that working on things so that makes sense yeah so yeah so it's
a little more it's more crucial right like you it's not like somebody else is doing it
so exactly yeah the yeah yeah yeah we we're not contracting out we have everything in house we have
a technical team we have a product team we have an ecosystem team which is you know community events
and and and that kind of thing and and I'm I'm talking about teams. And but I'm literally talking
three or four people who are covering covering these things. So don't don't imagine this sort
of massive PR team, or because they're not there. And I think people, I think there's
a big misconception about what. What is being covered and what can be covered. So yeah,
I'm I'm here. The other thing is like if you only have like three four people,
they're probably overworked too. So you will really ideally want to have more people. Ideally,
ideally, that would be nice, wouldn't it? But you know, isn't isn't everyone in that boat?
We all want more more people, more time, but that's not the reality. No one wants to pay for it,
do they? So no, and and the team, but the team that we have are hugely hugely committed
and do do work very very hard on all things and try and cover a lot. A lot, really. So,
and and maybe when you say, oh, you know, take take the feedback and some criticism
and things like that. We, like I said to you earlier in the week, we are very aware
that things need improve. But part of that reason is doing doing a lot. I know. Yeah, I know.
I know it's hard. It's just like you know. I I'm always gonna. I'm always gonna champion for
the community side of things. That's. Yeah. I'm never gonna not do that because I believe
that the more you carry like people with you along the process, the less pushback you're gonna get.
Uh, the more uh cohesion. It's just it's just how it works, right? Yeah. Especially
because we claim to be decentralized, so we have to, as hard as it as it gets sometimes.
And you're like to go out there and talk about these things and do some of these things,
and it's I know it's hard, but it has to be kind of like always there. No matter,
and and this I'm always going to talk about this. And you can ask Jack how many times,
like I I will always, of the always of that rock in the shoe, reminding you, talk to the community,
talk to the community, just just talk to community, you know. Yeah, but Jenny,
you're talking my language. You know, I could not agree more. My biggest frustration all the time is
like, hang on a minute, do you not know how the community are going to feel about this to people?
You know, sorry, read the room. You know, how many times do I say that in a week? I can tell you,
150. You know, I'm community. Yeah. Always have been. Always will be. You know that's it,
and that's why I'm buried in there, and and I will always champion the community
as the number one priority. Because without a community, what have we got? That's what it is, right?
So you go out with your umbrella and take the shit storm. It's like you know what?
Every time somebody says, like, what do you think the community's gonna say about this?
I don't know. Let's find out. That should be the answer. Let's find out and group and ask them,
and then and eventually you weather the storm, and somewhere in there. The the compromise happens
and and people get it's just so beautiful how it happens
and it's just like doesn't happen as often anymore it's a lot of like hey we already made a decision
and then you put it in the community and the community's like you know it's like boom it's like now
there's just no real it just kind of reflects more what happens in a town hall in your city right
but By the time you like go to the city, you're just like yelling out, you know,
at the clouds because it's already like, oh no, you know, the council already made a decision,
right? It's like, yeah, yeah. So I think that's what it is, right? It's just like, ah, you know,
just get people through the process. I know it's not easy. I'm not. I know. I know. I know.
Just you know. I know it's not. It's hard, and you know, just a lot of you have to. It's a lot.
It's a lot. So I just think that we just have to have. A real department
and all these things for real community involvement—that just happens all the time, all the time.
It's like a constant thing, you know. It will be beautiful. And you know,
it's got to be more than words. It's got to be more than, oh, you know, yeah, community number one,
followed by, you know, putting out some information that is not aligned at all. You know,
it's that that is super important. If it's not authentic and it's not real
and it's not actually coming from, you know, I against the day, Lolly.
It's like it's never going to be perfect, but. One thing is having a government,
a governance system that is not perfect, and the other one is not having a governance system that
we can't trust. So the trusting part comes from that. It's that's where the trust layer happens,
right? And it's where people say, like, well, maybe I'm not happy with the result,
but I know that it was that it was legit. As long as you can say that,
then there's just like this opportunity of moving forward, right? But when everybody feels like,
oh no, it's not legit or some things or blah blah, that's that's when the the trust is broken.
The thing. That carries us together, moves us forward. It it just happens at that particular level.
Everything else is just like you know, we we got to improve and all that. But um, yeah,
you don't want people to feel this invisible border. Trust has got to be both ways as well.
You know, I sometimes feel, and I'm not talking about intersect here, just to just to be clear,
but I feel like you know, organizations will kind of talk about the community
as if they're somebody else, and they and don't necessarily have that trust in the community to be
able to make the decisions that they're asking. Communities to make, and they forget that they are
the community. Or you know, you are touching on something that gets me.
Like every time I hear child stocks, it's up to you. I'm like, then who are you?
You're not a community. It's it's your fault, and it's like, oh my god. Yeah, we're all community.
Yeah, exactly. You know, don't talk to me as if I'm someone who works in intersect
and therefore I'm not in the community. I am the community. It's my community. I'm a d rep. I am.
You know, I work in this community. I, you know, my family work in this community.
I am this community and will continue to be. And and this divide is is something that
we absolutely don't need to have. And and the sooner people can see that. That there isn't them
and us, and let's not talk about people who are somewhere else as if they're not all.
We're not all the community. Yeah, I see that. I see that also happening.
So it's hard once you start getting paid to do community work, you get put under a different
under a different microscope. Yeah, unless you're a rebel, and then you just you know,
you just break things. Just break things. Oh my gosh. Yeah, I know. But I want to remind everybody:
it is Wednesday. We have no guests, so Lally and I here just chatting it out.
But you can come off here, be part of the conversation. You can talk about something that
you're cooking, something that you think is important to bring to the attention to the community.
Um. Just to stay well rounded, to know what's going on. Like I mentioned earlier,
the community is so focused on all these proposals, and then there are
other things that are happening in the community that we just don't hear about,
and it gets buried in the timeline. I pinned up at the at the beginning some things.
If you weren't here earlier, the first pin tweet that I posted was a the Clay Nation World Cup
sweepstakes. So if you want to have some fun with the community, it's 28 to enter.
You can make up your own little predictions, and winner takes it all. And it's going to be fun for
the next three weeks. We'll be fighting about the World Cup. And I love that.
So there's also the Ada Link challenge for video, creating a video that presents Cardano
to newcomers in real-world events or public location. There is an Ada bounty for that.
It looks super fun, super cool. Another opportunity for you to participate in something.
Then what else? Yeah, I'm gonna find more things here to share with you guys. But see,
Yoram joining us. So he probably wants to talk about his proposal. He also has a beautiful proposal.
And maybe we'll give him some minutes to talk about it too. What's up, Jerome? Hi, Jenny. No,
I actually want to start with the with the football competition you just mentioned. Yes.
I just I just watched I just watched on the on the video, and they are kind of wearing a balsa shirt
or type balsa type shirt, which is very cool. So just to tell everyone, stay tuned.
Some very good news about this project with balsa is coming soon. So we're finally progressing
very nice with that project with Dundami. Oh, the balsa stuff. Yeah, you know,
we spend a lot of time over a year in administration stuff. We'll not get to that now,
but in general, the project is progressing very nice now. We submitted milestone two already,
and milestone three already going to be something on chain. Going to be quite massive, I think,
because we are doing fine engagement, on chain fine engagement using Andamio without the fan knowing
that I'm using blockchain. So it's going to be really, really cool with the Bass Discord server.
So anyway, so stay tuned for that. So just just to mention that, and I love the way
Lali actually mentioned about the when she spoke about I am the community,
my family is the community. I mean, yeah, the way she said it, it was very cool. I think we are all,
yeah, we all many of us for many years, and it's yeah, it's more than just you know,
it's it's it's part of us and part of the families and part of the passion we put
and time we put into this community. So yeah, so that's this, and then just to mention about
I don't want to take much time here, but just to mention, so we have. We are sharing a lot of info
about the 5 a.m. Dotels proposal. You might have seen a lot of info shared, and we're having
open hours basically every day, 12 UTC and 5 p.m. UTC, and everyone can jump in from the community,
any community member as well as Diraps, obviously. Ask any question you have.
Today we had a great session, and the more we share information with Diraps,
the more they understand the proposal and the impact of this proposal. More, more.
I believe they they look on it in the right way. Very different proposal.
The technical proposal we are used to have highly focus on enterprise adoption
and very concrete big APIs. Right today ecosystem. So yeah, that's that's it. So every day at 12 UTC
and 5 UTC, everyone that have questions happy to answer. And then we, I'm actually featuring you
next week on Tuesday on Catalan Opera Coffee to speak about it more here. Oh,
you got light on Tuesday. Tuesday. Yeah. Good. Yeah, I picked up a couple things at the top.
I saw you have a video posted a couple hours ago. Deepak Kark, project manager. Yeah. Of
the Gentle Foundation India, talking to the camera there. Yeah, I think it's very cool. So to try,
we try to give a little bit from the ground because this project actually involved farmers
working in India on the ground. So, and we are growing rapidly. I think already
twenty-two thousand farmers. And we're getting to towards hundred thousand by end of August.
So we try to bring some some vibe from the ground. So now it was one of the project managers,
but we also showed a couple of videos before from the ground. So if you want more to to to see more,
the contact there. If you follow Elk Elk Connect Web3, there's a lot of content coming from there.
Sweet. So 12 p.m. UTC every day, you're going to be doing this Q&A. Basically,
space people can ask questions. So if you're not following Yoram, you should follow him.
He's going to be the one hosting them. I can see it in your timeline. So 12 p.m.
And 5 p.m. Every day UTC. Oh, both both times. So you do two. Yeah, both time, and whoever can join
and be, you know, one person, two person, and any any number, we're happy to share more information.
And today we had really great questions from people, and really a pleasure.
Is there one question that that you remember that was asked today that it will be
worth sharing here? I think a lot of a lot of people are interested. How we actually scaling it,
and you know, we are speaking about very big numbers five hundred thousand farmers by
the end of two twenty seven. And so, how do we actually scale it? And I mean,
we our role is to provide infrastructure technology, right? And we actually have very lucky to have
incredible enterprise partner, which which is the dream, right, for every ecosystem.
But our partners already worked with three million farmers on the ground in India.
And they are growing by 400 to 500 thousand farmers a year, sponsored by multinationals
like PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and others. So we are basically tapping into with infrastructure technology
into this into this partner. This is why we can actually scale quite fast.
And and in the next phase that we are doing scaling from 100 thousand farmers to 500,
one we will scale with one of the big brands, part of their program. And second,
we are tapping in into a much bigger program, which called GlobalAI. Org, GlobalAI. Org,
which is in partnership with IFC and World Bank. Where they are working,
or also in many other countries, we are going to grow also to Kenya and in Cambodia.
So the the short answer is that we we are able to scale because we have very strong partners
that are working on the ground with all these farmers, and this is how we can scale rapidly. Nice.
Imagine. Yeah. Yeah. What were you saying? Finish with that. I'm sorry. No.
Imagine this this level of partners and enterprise partners working on concrete projects
with Cardano. I mean that's already happening now because we're already working with them.
But in the next phase, I mean, again tapping into the IFC and World Bank and working with them,
and just imagine of the network of partners that this this this partners have. So yeah. Anyway,
I can go on and on. So I don't want to. I know a lot of happy conversations with you.
So I wanted to ask you. This is completely separate. But you talk about like such a big effort
and onboarding all this, just a large number. Do you think that people get scared when they hear
those numbers, thinking it's like an exaggeration? I think maybe they get scared, but first of all,
we prove now that we can scale, right? It took, you know, the first 100 farmers takes a lot of time
because you need to build the infrastructure and you need to do some pilots.
Like we did three cycles of pilots on the first thousand farmers, and we have we have
it all documented. But then, okay, the next bunch to go to 5,000, it it goes faster, and and then
and then already we are we are three months, I think, live, and we are already in 22,000.
And from here to August, we are going to show how we are getting to 100,000. So I mean,
we we show that we can scale. Obviously, with satellite, it's easy to scale.
That's you can do very Farm borders and information at scale very fast,
but we have the network on the ground that also facilitates to scale. So yeah,
I'm happy to answer questions about it. But and to give you one example, one important data.
So one of the person that are basically UX and UI designer, like the front end designer of the app,
it's someone that have over 25 years experience in UI UX applications,
and he was one of the first designing, for example, the app for Waves, the the navigation company.
So you know we work with really great Great team members that knows how to deliver things at scale,
and and part of the scale will be one thing that we are doing in the next phase to scale faster.
We are doing in app kind of wizard and an education process, and we'll compare the close mentorship
we're doing up the process and kind of make it more and more efficient. So yeah,
I'm I'm quite confident that with the right partner and the right team,
we're able to achieve these goals. So all these efforts that you're that are being carried on
right now, how how are you guys funding all this currently? It's a good question.
So we got funded in Fund 13 for 1.4 million EDA to onboard the first hundred thousand farmers.
The challenge is that, as you know, the EDA price went a little bit down since Fund 13 to today,
60-70%. So, and the commitments on the ground are commitments in US dollars. So basically,
we we are taking the heat on ourselves. We are basically working. So now we are committed to finish
the project as committed, and we. We and we are doing we're on the path to do it,
and basically we yeah we are working at a loss, but that's the way it is.
But we we look on the bigger vision of what we are trying to achieve and the impact on Cardano,
and and was important to to then take it to the next level, really do a big scale.
I mean you mentioned a small number compared to a big number. If you take the scale of the partners
that we are bringing on board, we need to show them we can scale, right?
To go with them further to to the next level. And so I mentioned the World Bank, IFC.
And but also Citistar, our finance partner, they are working with all the microfinance big companies
that that provide billions of dollars of microfinance. So so we will do with them the pilot.
But as the pilot progress and we can prove that we can do things more efficiently,
we we we need to show we can scale to to access this this big partners. So I agree.
I really hope that you get funded for this. I think it's a great initiative,
and you know I support it. And this is Jenny speaking, not the cop. The cup isn't supposed to stay,
you know. Like well, whatever. But yeah, we have some of these different voices carrying the cup.
But yeah, I definitely support your your efforts, Jerome. I know that it's important,
and we get an incredible support from the ecosystem. A lot of people say, you know,
this is why we came for Kadano to Kadano for. This is really bank to bank and all of that. So
and so yeah, it's really important. And I want and not to speak only about that. John, John,
really the the the open hours. I want to take it also a little bit from us,
also to the general adoption and connected to the IDR process as well. You know,
we see that yet again, not many adoption or business proposal getting funded
or getting the right attention from the RAPS. And I think that's yeah, it's pity. I mean,
I wish there was a budget. Framework that kind of define how much should go to business proposal
and business activities, and I wish and I think that it's maybe easier to criticize
business proposals, especially for non-tech DRAPs. Yeah, but it's really important
that that some allocation goes to different business proposals, and there are some great proposals
from from you know marketing and CPOs and ticketing and really good proposals, though.
That we ask the dear people. Oh my God! I'm glad that you mentioned that. Even like I,
I love Cassius' proposal. The ticketing, it's like, are you kidding me? Like,
what do we have to lose? It's like, I don't know. This one at 5 a.m. Is probably the only the other,
but the only proposal that directly bring enterprises directly to Cardano with very direct APIs,
right? Very specific APIs. Then there's others, right? CBDAO. They support the builders that are
really need support. We'd also focus on KPI. Right, the innovation DAO,
which is also kind of supporting builders. The marketing proposal. We always said there's not
enough marketing for Cardano. Okay, so okay, there's a big enterprise proposing this time.
The events, obviously, friends from where. So I just ask the Deeps to look on to kind of allocate
a certain budget from the from the voting power into adoption and and and review
the business proposal in kind of a more positive lens. Yeah, we talk about product market
fit all the time, but then we don't want to fund the initiatives that actually bring that to make
that happen. So exactly, exactly. So you know, finding again, technology is extremely important,
but you know, we need to finance some business initiative. We're building these things
for people to use them, so we have to find that we have to pair them up. So yeah,
the the the the CBDAO man, I just I the CBDAO, it's like yeah, the build DAO.
It's getting it's getting so much heat and um. I don't know, man. We don't have catalyst. What?
What? What are we thinking? I don't know. Isn't it, Jenny? You, you, you have um.
Everything is everything's important, uh, and not everything makes it through. And you know,
we hear the same about governance. It's like super important. We have no proposals for governance
that ever go through, and everyone says, "Oh, you know, we need to make it." And and marketing,
and we've got to have these things followed by, yeah, but we, you know. No one will fund them.
What What is that? What's What What's that missing link with people where Where that doesn't happen?
And because over and over again, don't we? So I think I If you know what I mean,
I joined this year also to be active in the growth and marketing committee and product committee.
And one of the things we were trying to promote from the beginning is kind of business frameworks
and business tools for the ecosystem. And one of them was advocating to have a budget framework.
I mean, it's crazy that we go into budget Budget voting without any framework.
Supporting to support the deals in the decision process. So we turn out only voting for
technical proposal, one because it's important, and second because, you know, I don't know.
It's a I mentioned before. Maybe it's easier to criticize business or an adoption proposals,
but I think it's very high risk not to not to support business proposals for the ecosystem
and business frameworks. So, yeah. Yeah, I think it's a. I I I think something's gon
na have to happen. I mean, definitely most of this initial this NCL is gonna be not
by technical proposals and and I don't know. I I I foresee
the NCL getting you know pushed a little higher. Um, maybe I'm wrong, but I hope so.
I hope that we definitely make room for other stuff, and then by next year we have a better whatever
the NCL is. Let let let somehow divide the cake, right, and then decide priorities within that.
Yeah, so I'm hoping that by next year we'll have a better framework in that sense, right?
But I think that for this year we're just going to have to patch it up with maybe some, you know,
some some adjustments to the NCL to make sure that. We don't, you know,
it's it's like you're building one arm, right? If you go to the gym, you don't just build,
you just don't build one arm. You're gonna look, you're just not gonna be healthy
and look good if you just work one leg, guys. You know, it's like it's a whole body, right? So,
I I think I'll forget, but Loza, you're up here. Good morning, nice to see you. Good morning, Jenny.
Good morning, everyone here. Um, I just um wanted to pop up and talk about something very important.
Um, and that is that the World Cup is starting tomorrow. And now we'll be talking about
the claymate stuff. It's so exciting, so much fun. Yeah, I just wanted to encourage everyone
to join. It's only twenty ADA, which is like two dollars or something, and it's it's fun.
It's just a bit of fun, some predictions, some questions, leaderboard, and winner takes all.
So please join, everyone. Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna join after getting our coffee.
I'm gonna I'm gonna do my predictions. I'm gonna go have fun. I sent a panic call out to Loza
to say, Loz, please come and tell us what we need to know about um about the sweepstake
because we you know because we were talking about it and I was like, when do we have to have joined
by? And the answer is today. And I was like, oh please come, tell everyone. How long?
How many hours? How many minutes? How long? How long do we have left? I think you have seven hours
left. All right, let's call it five then. Just five, yeah. Um. Also, I had a call last week with um
a couple of Americans, and we were talking about the World Cup, and they didn't even know
it was happening. And I was like, really? Is is coming to your your country? To your country?
What is going on? Hello. It's so weird. It is weird. I'm here excited. I read there, just
like I can't wait. I can't wait, and I feel like the world around me is like, oh, they just stop.
No idea this is happening. It's just so weird. Yeah. I'm planning my social life.
My menus for the next—I don't know how long. Seriously, I'm like, what time?
Like the you know the opening ceremony that's happening tomorrow. Making sure I'm not have nothing
scheduled. It's it's a thing, guys. Like get on with it. It's so much fun. Sorry, sorry,
budget cycle and constitutional committee, but World Cup's on now. Exactly.
This is so more important. Um, and Scotland just got a bank holiday for it as well, which is um,
which is really cool. Um, impressive. Yeah. I know. I wanted to attend.
And I wanted to attend to one of the things, but it's so expensive. I was like, there's just no way.
I'm gonna just continue celebrating with friends and doing my thing and screaming at the TV
and like I've done my whole life. So yeah, and just so many parties all around the world. Um,
and it just brings everyone together and it's just fun. I love it. I love it too. Even
if you don't like football, I reckon if we all joined, if we all joined this the sweepstakes,
would it would kick off a bull run? You know, it's that feeling of we're all in it together. Yeah,
I reckon that'd be enough to move the needle. I know you're right, Lally.
You can just pick whatever. Have fun with it. It's twenty-eight, like Lissa said. I mean,
not to just like make fun of the price of Ada, but it's really cheap. Yeah, exactly.
And it's a four hundred Ada prize prize pool at the moment. Um, so it's a nice win if if you win.
And um, um. And I used AI for my predictions because I'm terrible. So I just said, "said to ChatGPT,
help me fill this out," and he gave me the predictions. Nice. I'll say if you win,
that one's gonna be funny. I love it. Yeah. I have. Orito, you had your hand up, and John,
and then you came up as well. But Orito,
you have anything to say about the World Cup? Are you watching?
Orito, is your hand really up or not? Yeah, I'm sorry. I was actually I was actually over there
on the site looking at looking at how it all works. Uh, because I originally raised my hand
to ask like how it works, and now I'm reading. Uh, sorry, I was in the car
when you first started speaking about it. Uh, but uh, but now like I jumped out of the car
and I'm like, okay, how do I do this? So it's based on points. Uh, and even so,
it's like 28 of per wallet, right? And so I could technically set up a lot of wallets, and like make
multiple predictions if I wanted to. Yeah. And I could use AI. That's what I was thinking.
So I'm glad you went there, because I honestly don't follow soccer. Like you know,
my gut just says go with Brazil. They're going to win it. You know. Then, but it's
but it's like round by round by round, and then you get points over the rounds,
and so that's that's deep. I mean, you know. Well, as only as only for the predictions, as only
for the group stages. So it's like one one game per group stage, because that would it would be
a lot if we went each round with. All the games, it would become a chore,
and you would have to come back each round and do the predictions. So what we've done is made
it very simple: twelve games, predictions, and then your tournament picks, World Cup winner,
top goal scorer, and will the final go to penalties, and then the tiebreaker,
which is total goals scored across the whole tournament. So that's if we come to the end
and we have a tie, so the person closest. To the total goals will win, and if it is still tied,
and people correctly guess the total goals, then the pot will just be split by the two people
because that would be a huge coincidence if that happens. So I think what
I'm going to have to do is use one AI to generate the prompt based on the thing.
So I'm going to send one AI to read the page and understand it, and then
and then make the like make a good prompt to predict. For another AI to figure out, like,
which ones are actually going to win, you know what I mean? Because I can't even wrap my mind
around the game of soccer. Sorry, foot football football. Yeah. Then you need to get another AI
just to confirm that that AI has done a good job. Alternatively, here's an idea, right?
You just you go on the page and you just you follow the instructions, which say send 28 to a wallet,
get a transaction ID, fill in that form, and then guess some football teams based on the colors
and the names, and just you know that's it. It's easy. You don't even need to talk to AI.
Are we going to have any kind of party to watch this game? To see what's going on?
What's the plan to to add more fun to this already fun experience? We should. I I I agree.
We should have something big. World Cup party. Yeah, when could I never? Either space
or something that just like get together and like ah or something. I don't know. Yeah,
we should for big games. We we definitely should um do something. That would be fun. Yeah,
at least a pre-game. You know, like a pre, like just get pumped up before before the game
or something. Trash talk, you know, little trash talk to hurt nobody.
Scotland's going to win anyway, so. Oh no, we started already. Do you guys
like the the Shakira song? Did you listen to the World Cup song? What are your thoughts?
Is that I have not listened to. Oh my God! Sorry. Is that a new one? Yeah, she has a really,
really cool song for this new World Cup. Wow. Oh, this is awkward. I've not even listened.
I've been fishing. Should have just said, yeah. Oh my God, I loved it, Jenny. It was amazing.
That's what I should have replied. Yeah. I would definitely give. What do you have?
Is it supposed to turn up? I don't know. No, it's not. It is not up. It is not up.
It shows up for me. So, I thought you have another question for, for your prediction situation.
I have to see you participate. I'm gonna participate, though. I'm gonna definitely join the party.
It looks fun. This is the kind of stuff we need. We need fun, easy, fun. You know, like. Yes,
exactly. Yes, fun. Yeah, and you know, I'm in Canada. What is the proper World Cup hashtag?
Are we still using hashtag? Like, is it World Cup 2026? Is that what everybody's using? Like,
do we even use hashtags anymore? Like, what are we doing? Like, how do we,
how do we push this to the broader World Cup community? Looks like people are using World Cup 2026.
Yeah, I mean, there's a World Cup 2026 account you can, um, I follow, but I don't know.
There's no real. Do we have hashtags for it? And we need to be pushing this in Espanol,
cause you know a lot of soccer fans speak the Spanish. All kinds of languages, dude. There's like,
this is like a worldwide event. What do you do? Believe it or not, a lot of countries are like
counting the minutes and seconds for this thing. I even like, I get really nerdy about this stuff,
guys. To have this, there's a company called Panini that does like all the albums,
where the sticker albums. I have to do the shit every time. It's like I'm a little girl. I do it.
It costs me a lot of money, but I do it. I sit there with my box and ripping things
and putting my stickers on the album and like finding who to trade with.
It gets harder to trade as you get older. But I feel like I need some more children to do that with.
Yeah, I used to do that with um with my boy. He he loved his sticker albums, and we used to go
and get the the stickers. And um, do they still do them, Jenny? Do you? Yes. They do. Yeah.
I I I get it here. They sell them in Walgreens. They sell them in different stores. Uh,
you can order them on Amazon. And then of course, if you're younger, then you have more you know
people to trade with. Uh, but usually, like if you go to like your soccer,
like if you have a soccer store around the area, you can go there and trade.
It's usually a good meetup place for trading cards and uh, football. I mean,
I got used to seeing soccer here, but. And have you filled have you filled your your full book yet,
Jenny? Is it still you still trading? No, no, I haven't. I actually haven't purchased it.
I'm gonna purchase it probably. I should probably order it today. And I usually do it during
the World Cup. I start like just doing my stickers and my things. No, yeah, no, I haven't. Um,
I bought one for Jenny. Yeah, you're seeing it in Orlando. Are they in the World Cup? No,
they didn't make it. No, we haven't made it yet. We we have a terrible government
that does not support us. Um. Players, although we won the World Cup for baseball this year,
which was amazing. So, despite all the all the difficulties, we we won that one. But I mean,
most of our players play for the big leagues here, you know. So they're, yeah,
they had an amazing team. So, but now we didn't make it. We almost did. We actually almost did.
We disqualified, uh, uh, Italy, which it was huge. Uh, Italy didn't make it. We disqualified Italy,
and uh. And then we ended up losing that last round, but it was exciting. We almost made it. No,
yeah, we did the cup fight really. I'm I'm mixing the World Cup with with the baseball. Never mind.
We almost made it. We didn't make it. Oh, yeah. I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying.
I'm correcting myself. Hold on. This is not what happened. That was in baseball.
That's what we did in baseball, and we won. Right. Yes. Okay. So I got two teams to.
I got two teams to cheer for in the World Cup: Scotland and Canada. So we'll see. Oh, Canada! Yes.
Yeah, Jenny, you you were correct. Italy was was hedged out, and we should give some props
to Bosnia. Who made it, and they bumped Italy out by winning. So big ups
to my favorite Balkan country, and for the people of Bosnia, if anybody knows or or doesn't know,
have been through absolute hell over over the history of that country.
So much more so in recent memory than Italy. So I want to say that if you believe in justice,
your heart should be with the people of Bosnia because they earned it. They went out
and and made it happen, and it's one of the smallest countries. In the tournament,
and yet they did what they did to big bad Italy, and no, nothing, nothing against Italy,
but they didn't earn it. And when you don't earn it, you don't go. And Bosnia cannot have Italy in
the World Cup, to be honest. Yeah, it's extremely weird. Believe me, it's a fall from grace
for sure. And I would rather have them there, of course, but not at the expense of what
Bosnia pulled off. They pulled off an amazing upset, and they deserve it. And now, yeah,
that would see they're playing. That would have been the that would have been the third team
I had to cheer for if they had made it. But there you go. And they're playing in Toronto.
Bosnia plays Canada. When is that match? Thursday or Friday? Is it Friday? I will not be rooting.
I will not be rooting for Bosnia in that match. Yeah, you're a Canadian. All right,
you got to root for your team. I get it. But yeah, I'll be rooting for Bosnia throughout,
and obviously the U.S. But we we've we've got a long road. Are you going to participate?
I just love watching matches. Okay, for both of you, there's this. Clay Nation, Soupstick for
twenty bucks at twenty-eight entry, and we'll get to like trash talk each other and see who wins.
Nice. Yeah, it's pinned up at the top. The problem, the problem with that is you'd have to own Ada
first. Oh shit! I better get get some then. Well, you can you you can enter with other stuff. Yes,
Laza, go for it. Yeah, you you can enter with Snake, Clay, Ada, or Knight as the the options. So
if you own any of them, then you can use that. I don't own any. Oh. I'll send you some. Yeah,
I'll send you some too, Gilly. Come on. All right, everybody in this space,
send me some ADA right now. One one ADA each. I can send you an NFT. Would you accept an NFT?
If it's liquid and I can sell it. No, not a JPEG. You can. I'm way up.
That's our that's our new market. What what's the new market, Jenny? I'm not into the new. I mean,
it's not new, but that's the one that we're using now. It's way up. Way up. All right,
I'm gonna I'm gonna head over and try to get rid of some old. Some old tokens that nobody wants.
Hey, speaking of way up, I saw something about talks with midnight. So does that mean midnight NFTs
are coming soon? Midnight NFTs are definitely coming soon. I know the 5 a.m. Wallet guys are
5 a.m. Listen to me. This is what you're doing to me, Yoram. It's called 1 a.m. Wallet.
5 a.m. Is Yoram's project. Oh, this is funny. The 1 a.m. Wallet guys took over the NFT side
of things in midnight. And they are definitely cooking, and that's happening.
So I don't know if that has to do with it. I know that Cash did post something that
he's gonna do something with Sebastian, but I don't know. I don't know details.
So now we we have now midnight, one a.m., five a.m. We need to see what's happening in the middle.
I know. Now it's like five a.m. Wallet. People are gonna be like, "What?" So yeah, that's um, yeah,
that's happening, Orito. I don't know. Um, let's see what what what Sebastian
and and Cash are cooking. No idea. I don't think he he really gave any info on that. Yeah,
speaking about Sebastian, maybe it's good opportunity to give him a shout out.
Really kind of offered to give his time and speak since this week with many anyone
that want to speak with him basically and get advice and elaborate. It was very nice initiative
and his calendar feels very fast. It was very good. Yeah, he offered help. You know, to people.
I think I see several. I mean, with the situation how it is, it's important that we remember we have
a good community. We can reach out to people, get a you know assistance, help,
and how to be more sustainable in many different aspects of your business. You have
different people that are willing to help as well. So that's a that's a plus.
Gotta rely on each other. You know, we still have this community, and sometimes everybody's like
working on their projects and getting so busy. Sometimes I feel like we forget.
That we're still here and we're the same community in that sense, you know,
still willing to help one another, and that's important. Shout out to everybody out there,
putting their, putting their time and offering to support people. So that's that's awesome.
I love that. I think you're on to something, Jenny. People want to have fun. At the end of the day,
there's been a lot of heavy, heavy drama in the world, and and continues to be. And I think.
You know, with something like the World Cup coming around, it's meant to be fun.
It's meant to like inspire. Sure, definitely should inspire people on different levels, even
if it's not athletically. But it just inspire you to reach for something that maybe seems out
of grasp in life, but you can go for anyway. But let's just have fun. Let's do some gambling.
Let's lose some money, people. Now, let's let's have fun. Let's let's let's you know whatever it is.
Like life's too short. You know, like let's let's enjoy it and bring some fun back to crypto.
I know you're a big proponent of that and. I've always felt you have the your finger on the pulse
of really what what is needed, not just on Cardano, but sort of in general. Like,
let's let's get the fun back in this thing. Just get the fun back, and that's why I love. You know,
Clay's are always like trying to keep fun at the forefront, and that's that's it's really cool.
I saw that and I got excited. I was like, yes, some fun. Need it? It's funny. Isn't it? You see it.
You you know what? You see it, and you just think, yes, this is what we want to be doing, and. Yeah,
it's lovely. It feels good, and it and it it's like quenching a a thirst, isn't it?
When you you see these things, you know, oh my god, this is what we this is what we're here for.
We want to play. That's it. It's why comedy connects. It's why when you when you hear a good comic,
you laugh like uncontrollably because there's a part of you that wants that joy.
And if somebody is making you belly laugh, that's that's usually a good sign that you're
you're enjoying life at that moment. You know, there's like so many ways you can do this kind
of stuff. Like when people don't know, I mean, definitely like picking picking this this.
It reminds me of my family. My okay, so I'm Venezuelan, I'm American, Venezuelan. My mom,
she's from she's from the states, 1,000%. And I have a big family on this side of the world
that's like you know born, raised, many many generations North Carolina. It's it's huge, right?
So one of the things that side of family will do is really fun is with NASCAR, which is huge in
North Carolina. You didn't have to like know anything or anything. You just pick a numbers,
just pick numbers. We will pick numbers, and um. And put like a certain it was like
ridiculously small amounts of money behind it. Like I don't remember
how we just we haven't done this in a long time because we're all kind of spread out now. But um,
it would be like you know a block or two per number, and then you get up up to three numbers,
and then it will get divided. How many people were in the room if we all gathered?
And there were like a ten of us, eight of us, and we'll divide all the cars into the amount
of people, and then you get that many numbers. And and it would just be
like you would just be rooting for that number that you get, you know,
like that's that's your number, right? And who knows who's behind that car?
And we would spend like an afternoon having fun and doing different things together.
Those races were super long, and at the end, somebody would just take the money, right? So,
and you know, we just didn't know anything. I didn't know anything about it, but it was fun.
I just kind of feel like it's the same kind of thing with this, right? Um. Just have fun.
It gives you an opportunity to get together, trash talk each other, just for banter. You know,
banter. I think banter is so important. There's a reason a lot of people. Ah,
I protected banter in Currano or coffee so much because back back when we were very busy,
we always had guests every day. It was like never a a day to just chat and banter, and I was like,
we need one day, guys. Otherwise, I was miserable. I was like, we were miserable. We're like tired,
getting burned out. I was like, we at least need a day that we can just chat. You know,
so that's where you know banter Monday. Became a thing, and it was like non-recorded.
We just like have fun, let lose, and of course things are different right now.
We don't have a guest today, right? But you know things are slower. You don't have guests
all the time, and then it feels like we banter more than we used to. But I think it's important.
It's important to have that time for us to connect and get to know each other better, right?
And see what makes us tick, and also learn our boundaries and whatnot.
So I think it's really cool that you guys are doing that. Bye, Lani. It's basic human nature,
isn't it? It's you know, it's what we need. We're social creatures, in you know,
on different levels of appetite for sociableness. Making words up now, but you know, we all need
different levels of it. But we do need it. It's it's the core of us. It's. We are social animals.
Talk. We're social animals. We need to talk. We need to connect. We need to laugh.
We need to we need to gossip. It's an essential survival technique. It's true, you know, and we can
and we can do that with with love and consideration and with kindness. But we need to do it.
That's how we learn what's what to trust, what not to trust, who to believe, what's real. You know,
all of that stuff. It's important, and so you know that's why Cardano over coffee is on
every single day, and long may it continue. I I propose that you lose your emotions and you be cold
and calculating, especially when you're picking your your your picks here, people.
You don't get emotional and be like, "Hey, my mama's from." No, man, they're not gonna win.
Don't do that. I get you. Scotland forever. Scotland's playing near my hometown, Lally. Really?
Yeah, they're playing at Gillette, which is called they're calling it Boston Field,
but there it's it's really Gillette where the New England Patriots play. It's about an hour from
where I'm sitting right now. So Scotland plays Haiti, right? On Friday night at Foxborough. Wow!
Yeah. So I should root for Scotland. You're saying? Well, always. I had a. You guys think it's gonna
it's gonna end up like on penalties? I don't like it when it ends up penalties, but unfortunately,
happens a lot. Oh. Yeah, it makes me too nervous. I get anxious with penalties.
I I can't deal with PKs. Especially in the finals, like oh, it's like so stressful.
So you like you like soccer karma? Yes, I do. My children are active, very active in soccer.
And even if they weren't, I I played it for years, and it was very different back then
because I'm older. But but I love. I've been coaching my kids' teams on and off.
Usually my daughter's team, and then switched to help. You know, you have to be even
about these things. So my son was like, "Dad, how come you you're not coaching my team?
You always take you know." And so I moved to coaching him. He's quite a bit younger,
and then back up to my daughter's age twelve. And it's getting really competitive at twelve.
They are. It's getting so competitive. It's full on. Yeah, I mean, I see it with my friends
and their kids. It's so competitive. These kids are like, oh yeah, we travel two hours away
for these matches. I'm like, it's a full time job. Even if I wasn't coaching, it's a full time job,
and so things are going to change, guys. The United States is going to get into the fever
of this stuff. I know it because I see it and how how crazy competitive these children soccer
is getting here in the United States. Yeah, we, my town has been state champions.
I don't know three of the last five years, and again, you know, it's it's just one of these things
where my town is is is like crazy, extra crazy about soccer. And for some reason they've had
some success. So have you ever been to Cary, North Carolina? Cary, yeah, I've been to Cary.
It's like a big makeup fucker. Yeah, I was in Cary two weeks ago. Oh my god,
I live so close to Cary. No kidding. Yeah, we can get together one day if you ever want to see me.
That would be awesome, Jenny. I was at some weird sports bar for like an hour. Other than that,
I was buried in a data center. But I came up for air. It's huge. Yeah.
What was the name of this place? I was at some crazy bar where beers were like a dollar ninety nine.
I was like, "Can I move here permanently and pay a dollar ninety nine for a sixteen ounce beer?
" But yeah, I loved Cary. It seems like a beautiful area. Yeah, it's growing like crazy.
But you are right; soccer is so huge in North Carolina, Georgia too. Do you guys know who is
a professional soccer player? Logan, Logan from Clarity Dow from the CB Dow. Oh, no kidding! Yeah,
he was. He played for he played for DC United. Holy shit! He was, yeah. He's he's the real deal.
Professional, yeah. He still he still participates in like it's tournaments here and there.
So he's he's kind of a big thing. He's a big thing. Chad Chad knew about him because Chad is
a soccer. Chad here from Cortano Coffee. He's a big soccer fan, so it was kind of funny
because the first time we had Logan here, he was like such a fanboy. He was like, "Okay, Logan,
okay, Chad, we we got to talk about clarity." He kept like raising his hand throughout the questions
about like on that on that game against New Mexico. Oh my God, it's so cute!
This is like he's such a fan. Last thing I'll say about this, Jenny, let's let's not forget
that we need to be equally excited about the Women's World Cup. Yeah, on I'm saying this on behalf
of my daughter, who if she heard this conversation would say. I hope you're going to root for
the ladies as much as you root for the for the men. So let's let's do that.
We have a whole generation of young girls who are eager to show their their prowess,
and my daughter's part of that generation. I hope many others of you have the same experience.
And let's let's let's help enable you know young girls. I love that. Just champion for that karma.
I support it. It's something I've been absolutely blown away. I was just going to say,
it's something that the the growth in the in women's football and girls football that I've seen in
my kind of local area has been amazing. People are so involved in it now. All the girls do.
The girls are more into football than than than anything else. Really, that's the sport of choice.
Great to see. There's a lot of support, and you know, it's taken seriously now.
And it used to be a bit of a you know joke token effort, but now it's like it's full on proper.
It's great. Well, I, I that is so true, and and I've gotten another perspective from one
of my co-coaches, who is Hungarian, and he. Was born in Hungary. He came to the states for school
and and and stayed here. But he goes back to Hungary a lot. And two of his children were born in
Hungary. One of them plays on my daughter's team, obviously alongside the rest of them.
But he he was telling me that, and he played semi professional in Hungary for a couple years.
So he's he's a much better player than I am. But he's an old man like me now,
and we're just watching our daughters. But the point is, he was telling me that when his daughter
was like six or seven, and all the young boys in Hungary would go out to the playground
and and just play soccer, you know, morning, noon, and night, the girls never did.
When she was like five, six, seven. Now, when they go back, and it's only seven years later,
six six years later, now when they go back there, all her old classmates. From
the kindergarten days, are all the girls are playing soccer just as much as the boys in Hungary,
and that's a good sign because Eastern Europe, and I think I can say this:
I'm married to an Eastern European. Eastern Europe tends to be a little slower to adopt, I'll say,
cultural shifts in in participation and things with young people, and just a lot of the countries.
And I'm not, you know, blaspheming Hungary or anywhere else, Romania or anywhere else.
I'm just I I don't have any experience with those two countries, but I I have
enough experience in in in Bosnia and Croatia and other areas that to be a little slower on the take
on cultural shifts regarding gender roles and gender participation and things. So
for them to be in Hungary fully embracing like female soccer. I mean that's great.
That's a big sign. It's different than you know maybe here in the states or in the UK
or you know something like that. So anyway, I just wanted to make that point.
We kind of expect that that's the case in in the UK or Western Europe, right?
Although it's good to hear Lally that that you're noticing the difference too. Yeah, definitely.
Great stuff. I kind of wonder why do we wait four years for this event? Why do we wait so long for
a World Cup? Well, we have the European Cup in between times, and I guess that is, you know,
that it that's a bigger thing, obviously for for Europe for Europe. Sorry, stupid, a stupid comment.
That's all right. So for you, but it but it's kind of it it it's equally important around here.
So for us, it doesn't feel like four years, and also I think sometimes when you have
a four year gap, it feels bigger and better and more important, right? If it's every year,
it's like oh my god, it's that. That's true, right? It would kind of lose its specialness. Yeah,
yeah, yeah. And you have to like, I mean, like qualifiers and all these different things,
and I mean, yeah, sure, it takes a while, right? Yeah, to determine who's going to go and who's not.
Yeah. Also, if it's every four years, does it not signal the bull run? Surely. Oh, surely. Oh,
there you go. The only thing, the only thing I have to say that I wish will end is the practice
that that you see during the World Cup and the Olympics, which is. Spending
ridiculous amounts of money building stadiums and then not doing anything with them.
I think that like facilities and things like that, like what happens in the well,
I I think like it's worse with the with the Olympics, like they built all these facilities
and then they don't know what to do with them and they spend so much money on them.
It's like I don't know how we're gonna tackle that, guys. But it's crazy that we do that.
I know what your thoughts are on that, but. I don't know what your local experience is,
but anything that's happened around around where I am has actually been really well integrated into
the community. And and actually, particularly thinking of the the women's World Cup,
I think that was held quite locally to me a couple of years ago. Can't even think what year we're on
now, but anyway. But I I think that's that the legacy of that being built has been what
we were just talking about, where it is now taken seriously, and the training
and the facilities are all there, and and people come and use that, and and I think it it has had
a lasting impact. So yeah, I'm just just thinking about the yeah that that happens. But for example,
like I know I know that the you know least the Olympics, like a lot of the facilities
that get built in the Olympics in those countries to get don't get used again,
and they completely go in ruins. And I will say like. I think that the bidding for those places
should like include that if this money money is going to be spent on building facilities,
it's because it's going to bring something to a country that needs it, that wants it,
that will use it. I don't know. This is uh, I think we can be quite wasteful sometimes
with the celebrations and things, and I don't know, you know, just yeah,
and and we've probably got um, the you know the the infrastructure set up in a lot of places already
that could be used, and people tend to sort of build it as a as a showcase, don't they?
And like say just. Just it's just wasteful, but if if that legacy can be built into the planning,
yeah, it's a better world. I mean, let's use AI to figure this out. I pinned up something
at the top. It's not related to the World Cup, but I was tagged into like
this Cardano community roundtable talks are happening, and I guess I have pentat there right now.
So save it, watch it, or ask questions if you will. It's um, I guess Charles is not in it,
but everybody else is kind of attending. I don't know who's in there. Yeah, I think it's uh, Nico,
Jer, uh, Fred, Fred G, and Phil, and Phil. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, probably should be there. Well,
it's a it's it's a it's a live you know thing on. I know where my lawyer is. So it's there,
and it's happening. I also wanted to share because there's a couple of things here. It looks like
the Coronation Foundation announced three days ago that they're partnering with Draper Dragon,
and they're going to do a Bitcoin side event for Token 2049. So I guess that will be the alternative
to the summit. So that's that's taking place. So I pinned that up at the top as well.
If you want to ask any questions in that thread. And I also wanted to pin up something at the top
because there's this accelerator program by midnight that was announced. So, basically,
it's a ten-week accelerator for early-stage teams building privacy-first solutions. So you get,
you know, that will if you get selected, you'll receive technical integration, fundraising support,
commercialization and growth guidance, wide midnight ecosystem access,
investor exposure through pitch day and capital allocation from midnight network. So I pinned
that at the top. If you know anybody, if you your stuff, you're building something related to
privacy first solutions, then check it out. This is an opportunity. So I don't know
when the deadline is, but it's there. I also I'm gonna put that up at the top because I also saw
that they're going to be hosting a space. They're not very big into spaces,
but I did see they're gonna host a space, so I put it up at the top. It's for Build Club, Night Sky,
Night Force, Elite. So I guess we're going to talk all about the the ambassador programs
and the opportunities there are. That the you know the midnight has for you to participate.
So I pinned it up at the top. Hmm, is there any else, anything else, guys,
that we should be sharing? We have 15 more minutes here, and I want to make sure that we um put
the spotlight on some of the things that are building, that are happening within the ecosystem.
Make sure that people are aware of them. Oh, this big one here. Euroi Euroi
is switching is transitioning into second. SecondFi app, so it's an end of an era.
Youroi wallet is transitioning into SecondFi app, and SecondFi app is a self custody,
non-anil finance platform built for spending, trading, scanning, and serving.
And saving with you in control. So I don't know exactly the details, but if you're not following
Second Fly, maybe you should, because Dioroy is moving into this direction now. I don't know
when the sunset, the whole brand, or but it's moving into something else. So I guess it's
an end of an era. So now, are you confident in your delegation to the Euroaid DREP now that they are
a profit-generating institution that has massive, massive DREP delegation? How do you feel about it,
Euroaid delegators? Well, they did say that the delegation will stay exactly the same,
and and then they are going to inherit Bernanke governance from Euroaid. So yeah,
that's a question that you can ask yourself. I'm just here to share the fact that it's changing,
but we can definitely talk about that. I have no problem. Um, yeah, I don't know anything
else out there, guys. I want to make sure that. Well, it's also a reminder to go vote.
Intersect elections are happening. Oh, and we also have. I forgot to change to pin that up
at the top today, but there is a registration period extended for the constitutional committee.
So we have an election for the constitutional committee that is being facilitated by Intersect,
and they have extended that to the 21st of June, so we can get more people in there.
So that's also pinned up at the top. Also, I want to pin this up because this Cardano community,
Cardano Thor is back. He says he's catching up for the first time in over a year.
The life has kept him away, selling his business, starting a new career, racing young boys.
He's also getting a divorce, moved. And it's been a lot happening, so he's been out
of the the timeline for those reasons. But he is back and catching up. So
if you want to send him some love, say what's up, give him the TLDR. I pinned up at the top his post
and welcome him back. He's been in the community. He's a great guy. So Jenny,
can I give a PSA about security for a second? Of course, I love those. Yeah,
I wish I didn't have to, but so those of you who know me or know the voice,
I work in cybersecurity for very large enterprises, and that's my my fiat gig.
And I was at an event last night with two members of the FBI, which I do these events often.
And I end up in these circles with InterGuard or other Interpol people and things like that.
And I was sitting across at dinner from a special agent in charge of digital forensics for
the Northeast United States, the senior most agent, supervisory agent.
And the the talk quickly turned to Mythos. It's been on our minds, obviously,
since since it came to light a few months ago. But yesterday, the I'll say commercial version.
Of Mythos went live, which was Fable Five. It's called Claude Fable Five. You may have heard this.
You'll read about it if you haven't already. Yesterday, it was released commercially,
at least for enterprises, and it's sort of a pay-to-play platform. But essentially,
it is Mythos with guardrails. And Mythos was revolutionary and really caused a big stir
in cybersecurity because of its ability to analyze vulnerabilities in code. Of all types of code,
in ways that no third-party audits ever have, even really good auditors who really, really,
really know code really well, had failed to find vulnerabilities that Mythos found in in minutes.
In major libraries and packages, many of them open source, like OpenSSL. It found
several vulnerabilities in OpenSSL, which is used by pretty much 98% of the world,
and and and many other you know commercial offerings of software, non open source, open source,
all no no no difference between them in terms of what Mythos was able to find. So.
Companies like Cisco or Juniper, or you know, Checkpoint or others have been racing around fixing
these vulnerabilities that Mythos found a month or two ago, and continues to find in versions
of their code. So we're all guilty. All all vendors are guilty. It's a matter of what
you're doing about it and getting, you know, ahead of taking seriously, you know,
rededicating yourself to the security of your software, and then committing to, you know,
doing it on an ongoing basis because every new feature that's added is a potential attack surface
being added. So it has to be reexamined and reexamined and reexamined every time you add a feature.
Software, as we know, does not live in a vacuum. It does not stay static.
It would be nice sometimes if it did, and you could kind of relax on your auditing for a while.
But the truth is that pesky customers demand more and more features. All of us are customers
of various software. Things as simple as Adobe Acrobat, or you know, as complicated as you know,
some four-dimensional you know mapping software. All these things have vulnerabilities,
and it's just really important to get ahead of them. So I'll highlight a couple things that.
You can do to help yourselves in daily life. One is all these Chrome updates that you take,
and I know a lot of people use Chrome browser or Microsoft Edge, which is really Chrome in disguise.
It's the same basic library. Microsoft Edge and Chrome are very similar.
Safari is a little bit different, quite a bit different actually. But case may be,
take your updates quickly as humanly possible. When you see an update to Brave,
which is Chrome with a different skin, or an update to Itself, take it immediately.
Don't question it. Don't ask why. Just do it. And I know that flies in the face of critical thinking
sometimes, but it really is important. When you see those updates from Google, from Apple,
from you know, take them. Please do yourselves and your families a favor. I know it's a hassle.
There's been like three Chrome updates this week alone. It's a pain in the ass. I run
virtual machines of. You know, eighty, ninety virtual machines of these platforms for for testing
that I do and stuff. So it's a royal pain in the ass to update that many things. I get it.
We all have a lot of personal devices. Our kids have devices. Our grandmas have devices. You know,
update all that stuff for people. Get it current. Same with an Acrobat reader or writer.
Acrobat in general has a lot of. PostScript vulnerabilities, unfortunately,
by the nature of what a PDF is and what PostScript is, you really have to update Adobe products
on a regular, regular basis. And especially, I'm talking especially Acrobat. But yeah,
and operating systems themselves have proven to have some very serious flaws. Including
Red Hat Linux, some of the most you know secure distros, quote unquote,
of Linux have proven to be insecure in the last month or two. It's really important.
These things have all been patched. Do we have? Do we take them? Do we have a an update that
we have to do right now that should have been pushed? Um, to what exactly?
So the browsers you were saying? Yeah, there's a browser update that came out yesterday.
Another one for Chrome, and I know people are like, "Really? I'm kind of I've got upgrade itus.
I I really don't want to do this karma. A lot of people assume they just by closing your closing
your browser and opening a new one will work, but sometimes you have to really restart it. Yeah,
push it yourself, right? Yep, go to Help About or go to on a Windows machine. It would be
Wherever the hell it is on a Windows machine, help check for update. I believe is is what
it's called there. Look at the version. I just did it, and it's doing it for me. Yeah,
and there's another one this morning. Yep. So it's a pain in the ass, but if you run Brave,
like a lot of us do, or you run Chrome, or you run Microsoft Edge, or you run Firefox,
they've all had major updates. Like several times a week lately, and it's because of Mythos. Sorry,
maybe I didn't make the connection for you. The reason I'm bringing this up,
Mythos has found all these vulnerabilities in these browsers, and that's why the browser companies
are all running around fixing this shit really fast. And I'll hand it to them;
they are doing an aggressive job of it, as they should. I mean, Google has a very vested interest
in securing that browser. So say what you want of Google. There's good and bad everywhere, but.
But I would say I would give them a lot of credit for aggressively responding to what Mythos found,
and same with many other companies, Adobe as well. I mean, these companies want you to trust
their products. Obviously, they have a vested interest in securing them. So, take you know.
Take these updates, Linux as well. Though don't think because you're on a free BSD distro
or you're on, you know, name your favorite distro of Linux, Ubuntu, Arch Linux,
they're all vulnerable to things, and you got to update these this stuff.
And I hope anybody running Linux knows what they're doing, so they know how to do that.
I assume you do. And you know, I like I say, I personally have updated probably a hundred
plus systems, mostly virtual systems. As well as all my physical shit for my family,
but it's just it's a pain in the ass. It's like a full time job lately,
but it's worth it if it means protecting your data. Yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Do it for you. It won't take that long, so make sure that you get it done. You know,
it's not gonna take you that long. Yep, if you only got two or three machines, you're fine. Yep,
minus finish. All I gotta do is relaunch my browser, which I won't do until I end up this call
in five minutes because it will it will disconnect. We'll disconnect. Yes,
I mean the not not the cop. The cop is not on the computer right now, but Jenny is,
and Jenny is the one pinning us stuff at the top. So, Eepak was supposed to come back
after the technical steering committee call and give us the TLDR, and he's like telling me this call
is running long. I don't know what's going on there. It's my fault, totally my fault. Tell him.
I don't think he'll make it, but I'm gonna go ahead and pin up that thing from that thing from.
Clays, because I just want to remind people that we do have this. And today,
I guess you have probably five, four more hours to participate, and I want to participate,
and I want to have fun with people. If you, I guess you can do it with snack,
you can do it with clay tokens, you can do it with night tokens, or you can do it with Ava tokens.
So if you have any of those, you can join in there. And Jenny, you can go to Walgreens
and get your sticker book. I understand. I am going to do that. Oh my god!
I'm going to go to Walgreens today because of you. I'm going to go to Walgreens. Really?
And you're going to do it with your kids? Yeah, I am. Oh my god! I'm going to get into that.
When you were describing that, I'm like, this sounds like something at least one of my kids
will totally get into. Absolutely. Yes. Okay. That's like that's fun. Okay.
Now I'm going to go get my stuff today for sure, and get ready for tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the opening. And if you have not listened to Shakira's new song, is the World Cup song.
It's pretty dope. Even if you're not like into Shakira music, there's something about the World Cup
music that stays in your heart forever. So if you participate and watch the games,
you are going to listen to that song later on in your life, and it's going to transport you
to those times. So it's always great. You know, those songs always take me back.
I have the songs from Italy '90, like France, the USA. The USA song from '94 was okay.
I still listen to it and kind of connect with it. But the Ricky Martin from 1998, which was
a France World Cup, was pretty dope. I like that one too. We had some pretty good songs,
so it's um it's a good way to connect. Ah, what else? I think that um, yeah.
You guys have anything else you want to throw out there? I don't know, Lali, if you're here,
if you're with the Pentag. No, I'm still here. You committed. You committed today. Yes. Wait,
I don't have coffee every day this week. Oh, you're cutting off a little,
but I love having you here today. You're one of those people that I miss a lot that
we used to have here all the time, and then it's like, where's Lally? I don't see Lally anymore.
So thank you for hanging out today. I really appreciate it. Oh, it's a pleasure. Sorry,
I had a call coming through, which which disrupted. Oh, that's what it was. Okay,
I was enjoying that as well. Yeah, sorry. Yeah, I was. I was just saying,
I made a commitment to to come every day this weekend. Have and so far done it, and yeah,
I want to make sure I'm I'm I'm here and this. This becomes a priority for me, you know. I, I,
it's so easy to get buried in the other things going on and um and lose the connection,
and I don't want to do that. So, so if you're missing me, come get me, tell me, poke me. I'm,
you know, I'm here. You are Miss Lolly when you're not around. You know. And go Scotland. Goes,
Scotland. Yeah, and thanks. Oh, Loza's dropped down, but thanks, Loza, for for coming in.
If if that message gets through to you and giving us the lowdown on on that
and reminding us today is the last day. Also, every person that adds, I think it's is it.
Did you say it's four hundred? Either it's up to at the moment is the prize pot, but yeah,
or anything that goes in is going back to it's it's when winner takes all. You know,
Claire Claire not making any money out of this. They're doing it. It's community first. So yeah,
winner takes all. So every every person. Yeah, every person who joins makes the the prize pot
bigger. So let's. So everybody retweet that in every language. We need we need every World Cup
fan to get involved in this. We want that pot to be giant. Imagine we had a giant pot. Let's do it.
I know, and a bunch of people making their AI predictions. Let's see which AI is going to have
it right. This will be battle of the AIs. Seriously, get the agents going. Oh my gosh,
it's a new era, guys. It's a. It's incredible, you know. This AI stuff is real,
and I'll just take a second to say that. You know, there's gonna be technology is neutral at
the end of the day. It can bring you good things. It can bring you bad things.
It's how what you use, how you use it, what we do with it, is what really ends up making
the difference. So, if you're one of those people, they're like, no AI, just get out,
get it out of my face. I don't want anything to do with it. You know, I just invite you to consider
the possibility that that's not longer possible. And you might want to find a way to make peace
with that and get in with it. And there's a lot of different things. I personally,
I wasn't against it. Like I've been using ChatGPT for like four years. I've been, you know,
doing images. What were what was the that we were using before to make images on Discord? Oh my God,
what's this app, Karma, that we were using to to create stuff? Oh. Shoot,
now I'm I have a mental block. Yeah. Oh my god. You're talking about in the early days. Yeah. Okay.
Well, anyways, but it got to the point that things exploded, and I got really overwhelmed, really,
really overwhelmed. And I was listening everybody, agents here, especially
when things became like agentic and all that. I'm like listening to everybody talking,
and I felt like I was trying to drink, and I keep saying this because this is literally how I felt.
Felt like I was trying to drink out of a fire hose. Like, everything's just splashing in my face.
There's so much going on. I don't know what to do. So you know what I did, guys?
I went the old school route, and I took a class. I said, "Screw all this noise!
I'm gonna take a class and help me guide me into like I don't have to worry about picking
and choosing and who's the right YouTuber and who's gonna do this thing.
" And then after I got myself more educated and understood better, then it became like
so much easier for me to now play around with the tools and understand what I like, what I don't,
what I want to find. So you know that's also an option. You know that's uh, it's out there.
So just getting with it. Don't get left behind. And AI can definitely help you become, you know,
embrace your your gratified and help you become an entrepreneur instead of being afraid
of all these jobs disappearing. Look at the fact that you might be able to become an entrepreneur
easier than before. So there you go. Last words out there, Karma Orido. I'm gonna shut this down.
I think we're very fortunate to to live in the times we live, and I think we should have fun.
Lolly, Lolly, you were saying something. Oh, I was just, I was saying, yeah, have fun,
sign up for the sweep stake, and let's shut it down and let's do it all again tomorrow. Oh,
before we shut it down, you see a Yomi here on the listening side of things. Yes, I do. All right,
so we're going to give a, you know, we're going to give her. Some love
and follow this person because she's really cool. She brings really good energy to the ecosystem,
and she could use your support. She's been hosting spaces. I pinned up at the top, Thursdays,
8 p.m. UTC, for Karina newcomer support. Try to give her some support if you can.
I pinned it up at the top. Give her a follow if you see her post. Give her a like.
Give her some love. We're you know just we gotta we gotta support the people out here.
Just continuing bringing the good vibes to the community. So shout out to Yoayomi,
and thanks everybody for coming here today. I've had the pleasure of meeting Naomi a couple
of times, and and hearing more about the things that she's working on. And you know,
can just say what an incredible amount of work she's doing for the community.
Very lucky to have her. Second that. Super, super, super lucky to have people like you, Ayomi.
So keep on, keepin on, um, persevering. You know, just you go, girl. You're doing amazing.
All right, guys. Uh, I'll let you go, and then we're gonna have tomorrow.
Rare Evil is gonna be in the house tomorrow, talking about their proposal. So, uh,
Christina should be here hosting. We'll see you next tomorrow. Thanks for coming. Great space.
