And then we rugged. So maybe.
Sim card. Lighter. Can you hear us? Stabilizes things. Can you hear me, lighter? Any? Yes. Okay.
We need a plan. Are we Claire? Are we Claire? Are we Claire? Is is it working now? I think it is.
Okay. If she calls me, I can help you with the title. I, I, I think turning on the second sim card
maybe did the trip, the trick. Did people even hear my intro song? Nope. Okay,
well I have to play it again because it is on brand. It is on theme. It is on brand. So just chill.
We have one guest today. I'm gonna put the name up shortly. Get yourself a cup of coffee.
Go check out all the features you're going to lose behind the new Eternals Pro Pro service,
and enjoy the music. No music. No, we don't need music. Lido, don't do that.
We need music. We have to. We have to. No. No. We don't need elevator music.
Don't do it. We have to have it. Oh my God. Right. Well, it's more chill than what I was listening
to. I can count the people that I trust on like one hand. Always throwing shades,
ain't no way I get a suntan. Listen, I'm no movie shooting stars, but nothing coming through to me.
The gun jammed, I guess. Wait, whoa. I'm the one. Hey, no sacrifice supposed to hurt.
Just do the work. Wait, whoa, warming up. J. Cole, about to blow. Wait, Cole.
I've been serving sentences behind the bars. Case closed, yeah. And I don't wait for what
the verdict is. Nah, I ain't worrying. Even if I fail, nothing's permanent.
So let me spell this out for you if you ain't sure of it. Got to turn an L into earning.
That's what learning is. Yeah, it's a marathon, it's not a hundred meters. Play my cards right,
I ain't bluffing either. Always wear a smile like I'm Justin Bieber. I might be here for a while,
had to run the meter. It's a marathon, it's not a hundred meters. Play my cards right,
I ain't bluffing either. Always wear a smile like I'm Justin Bieber. Four corners with the hits,
I ain't never hit. That's right, that's right. Big Pay told you, but now I'm telling you,
we are here for the long haul. This is a marathon, okay? It's not a sprint. It's not
a hundred meters. Let's go! It's Drama Tuesday. It's Taco Tuesday. It is Plant Point Tuesday.
Lighto is behind the cup, coming to you live from Nairobi, Kenya. Don't forget to water your plant,
dust your plant. If you have a drama, come and talk about it. Let's see if we can arrive at
some understanding. Let's go. Did you survive, Christina,
or did you fall into a hole because of the elevator music?
Uh oh. She fell in a hole. You told me to go make coffee. I was making coffee.
I'm going back to my coffee. You will see me in 90 seconds. It needs cream and sugar,
or else I will be salty. Later, how is it that Big Pay used to say, "I, I was here before you.
I will be here after you." I need to read them. I need to find his old, his old, his old thing.
I was here from your beginning. I will be here to your end, or something. Was it,
or something like I was here before you, and I will be here until you leave. Before you got here,
and I will be here. It was like that. It was like rhyming. It had a lot of ends.
It was rhyming with ends and ends and ends. Um, I will find it, or maybe I'll ask my AI to find it.
I think it's linked to my Google YouTube API, but yes, something like that. And now,
the time has come. What does that mean? What does that mean for us? Are we here? What an idea!
But guys, we're here for the long run. We're here for the marathon. Come say hi.
Come say what you're drinking. We are chatting with our friend. Um, why am I blanking on his name?
Crap! Ah, what's his name? Yori, Yori, no, yes, Yor, Yori, Yoram, Yoram, Yoram, ah, Yoram, yeah,
yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I'm blinking on my Y. Thank you, Mister. Are you talking about the guest?
Oh my god! Yes, funny. Yes. We're chatting with them again. Last, last,
final stretch for the proposal. So I'm not sure what interview it will be. Yes,
it's pronounced Yori. Or a second five. This let's no longer Euro. In fact, okay,
we were here before Euro, or I was here before Euro actually, and it looks like I was also here
after Euro. Was good there. Took the line out of my mouth. Um. Yeah, that was definitely
my first wallet. Not Euro. Yeah, and it's still around. I was going to say,
I think all that's left is Jenny, Lido, Trials, and Diddles. Is Dataless even still standing? Yeah,
I know we didn't fund it, but it's an opportunity for people to realize maybe we need it. I know.
For the I can't believe people didn't fund it, Jenny. That was insane. People are so stupid.
Actually, your Roy was the one that broughted it down. Remember? Oh my god. Yeah, which one?
Which one was this? The data list. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh, they actually, Nikhil actually went out,
the COO, and apologized for that. And uh, uh, Kyle had a very good response,
which I won't repeat here. Why is he apologizing when he can just change his vote?
On they can just change his vote. Well, I does anybody have a graph? Wait,
does anybody have a graph of the DREPs right now? Because I'd like to see the Yori graph
of their DREP status. The delegation is that? Is that a thing? What do you mean by a graph?
Delegation over time. We don't have a grab, but we do have a pool PM style.
Somebody doesn't have one yet. We have a pool PM style delegation timeline. And actually,
where's the dashboard for that? I've been seeing new delegation. We got we got
sixty one new delegation this eve. I'm going to pin this in the in the chat.
You can look on Ada Stat and see where people delegated from to you. Let's do that. Let's look at.
Yeah, you can see that. Somebody's got to have one of these. Check out the Ada Stat.
One of my favorite places. Well, check this out. See if that does the trick for you, Christina.
I'm I'm looking I'm looking. It's in the chat. God don't do not switch profile.
My Twitter would not let me get back to the space. What the hell? Uh yeah,
Twitter's been a pain in the ass lately. Okay okay okay. You switch your profile. Auto switch.
You're like no, don't auto switch. Do not switch profile. Yes. So the Yuri wallet still shows.
It still shows the highest. It's the highest, and it got 361 new delegation.
How the fuck can they get a new delegation? We need to go after people and be like, "Are you stupid?
" 61 new. No, they're bringing on. There's something from today, like over a dozen today. You know
where it's coming from, right? It's all coming from the second five wallet, Uroy,
which turned into second five. It's everybody that they sign on. Then,
if they want to get Ada rewards, then have to click that box, and they're good to go. They've got.
They don't know anything about what's happening. They don't know anything. They don't. God,
these poor people. Well, in some ways they're poor. In some ways they're
like actually sheltered from the chaos and the craziness that's over. You're right.
They might literally be poor now. You're right. Yeah, yeah. So now they don't have to go to
counseling. They're not going to need psychiatric care or any other. They are going to need
psychiatric care. They're poor. I mean, I feel like this is a great place to come if, like,
you're a drug provider, like Prozac or something, and look for new customers because those
who are coming are easy. Come on, Cardano Spaces, and just talk about the discounts
for new customers right now. The discounts. There we go. The Prozac. My God. Whatever they need,
I need to get them through. Prozac's easier to get than meth, so let's just let them get Prozac,
okay? Oh, here's the one other thing they have. They have a very good way to bring in new customers.
They use bring in order to do that, and they give away 1580. So if you're browsing on Tmu,
for example, and you have a Uroay extension in, you will immediately get a push notification that
you have 1580 available to you, along with other things that are free if you want to sign up. So
and you just go ahead and do that. What you're telling me is. So what you're telling me is
you went for a Timo coupon, you ended up with a Timi wallet? Oh no! Well, no, no,
you don't get a Timi wallet. You get the Euroi wallet. You already have the extension,
but now you're actively participating. You get 15 ADA dropped in. And if I'm thinking the way
they're doing it, like you then go, oh, I need to delegate. Timo value. It's Timo value.
That's what you're getting. They, they, you get the coupons, and then you,
you thought you were getting something big and grand, and it's really, you know, like half an inch.
And I mean, so one of the things, one of the things that happened there is that Euroi was always
open source. And people were moved from open source to closed source. So is it true? So is
that what I was asking earlier, Christina? So people were migrated on the backend. Yeah.
Is that what happened? So if you had a Yorii wallet and you continued to use that,
you were migrated from Yorii to SecondFi. You were not given the choice. This happened to you.
So you went from I was I had an open source wallet, and then now I have a closed source wallet.
You did not grant permission. You didn't concede in any way. This just happened. They're using,
they're monetizing a wallet. Um, so somebody is actually monetizing. Yes,
it's you don't have to be closed source to be monetized. No, I know, I know, I know.
But they're just doing it the way they want to do it. But it makes sense to
where you're not asking for anybody's permission. You just migrate them all over. Wait, wait, wait.
Question, question. Does this mean Ethereum is going to auto migrate me into 2.1? Yes, absolutely.
So I want I want you guys to understand a really interesting fact. So a lot of people would think
that most the majority of people that are using the wallet are from the Japanese community.
They're actually not. What they're doing is is they're starting to bring in a large portion
of the European community. When I talk to Getin from Bring, they're actually pulling in
sixty to seventy percent of the people actively using their product. Is from Europe,
so they're expanding into the European market quite a bit as well. So love them, hate them,
however you want to think about them, they're actively increasing their overall exposure
and market share. Yeah, I'm still talking about Yori wallet. What's that? It's not love them
or hate them, man. People are losing their funds. That is not a love or hate.
That is a tough situation. That part's no good. That part's no good. I'm not talking about
that particular. The exploit part. Am I going to lose my multi-seg in eternal?
Can can we talk about the real problem here, Folado? It does look like they're going to be.
Hopefully, they're going to be returning those. My question was this: How many?
What are the open source wallets we have left, guys? Besides, they don't. And lace, which dataless,
dataless, dataless, and I mean lace. But people have opinions and have said they're not going into
that. It's not the right time. So we don't. So that's what I was going to ask. Right again.
Right of the hands. Yes. Losing. Yes. Yeah. Go to. Where are you going to ask something about that?
Let's go to the hands. Let's go to the hands. I still have personal problems,
but let's go to the hands, okay? What's up? We can talk about your personal problems
after the hands. Tell us about your end of sixty percent European's ancestry of yours
that's going to make the team better. Oh my God, Esco, should we skip you or come back? Oh, oh no,
no, no, me. Oh yeah, my European bloodline is jumping like a chat line for Timmy coupons
at the time. Holy shit, they can't get enough of them. Um, but. I wanted to echo what Music said
because that was like my instant hunch. Even though I'm not a software engineer,
is that for what I knew, that was it was an auto migration type of thing,
and unless it was a UI change. You know, like a wrapper of the existing codebase and deployment of
the Euro Wallet. Then, how was that possible without having to enter seed phrases or, you know,
pub keys or I don't know what the hell is going on. But I have a feeling that was my initial hunch
right away that, like, during that migration, keys and oh, auth, some sort of something was exposed.
And because somebody's trying to say that. This exploit could have come from
a gas sponsoring type setup. You know how like platforms or wallets are sponsoring the transactions
and so on. So, is possible. Yeah. So, but if they, but if, but if it shut down. The wallet,
the wallet right now is on maintenance, right? Meaning, no service. Correct.
That's what they're saying. I would no. But the exploit. But me neither.
But if the if if funds are continues to be transferred, then it had to have been a sweep
of keys rather than a exploit through this like gas bomb thing. What are you guys talking about?
The wallet. Do not lock in funds. Just people can't use that shit anymore, and that's all you know.
You're like freaking out. We're talking about we're talking about the migration that they did
and trying to pinpoint exactly where it went fucking wrong. Where there could have been key,
his response to that question was it's closed source. He said that's where it all went wrong. Yeah,
we don't know. When when they migrate, phone shouldn't have needed to be moved though.
Worst case scenario, they lost. Well, no, no, no. If you're migrating file,
if if you're migrating everybody to like a new new infra, and it's not just wrapping
or rebranding your existing wallet, then you do have to move credentials, right? Yeah,
how does that work? How do you migrate like that? Okay, I know that. I'm not who's saying anything
about funds. Who the fuck saying anything about funds? We're talking about
how I'm saying the sponsorship thing. You mentioned sponsorship. That's signing.
No signing is needed. Exactly. So basically, everybody was moved, but only the people that used
it got compromised. Right. That's what seems to be. That's what we seem to be picking up.
Is that people with recent transactions are the ones that are being affected. So keys were exposed.
With them being closed source, with that's what I keep saying, right? But that's closed source.
We can't fucking tell. And everybody wants to have a closed source wallet. I mean,
because one of the promises of a wallet is keys don't leave your device.
So they transfer keys to servers, which yeah, is it looks like it. Yeah. Yeah,
and if it was that it had anything to do with like the transaction sponsoring thing.
I don't think that's the case because if the if the exploit or whatever continues to occur
and the wallet is on maintenance, that couldn't be the angle for for where these transactions
are being authorized. Device is not a wallet. That's that's a self cost. That's a custodial.
That's not. That's not. Are you talking about like a hardware wallet or something? No, like
when you one of the premise of these wallets is that the the the key lives in your device,
in your browser or your phone, not on the server. Like as part of the security posture,
it's encrypted by your pass, by your signing key, and it's physically on your device.
It's not on a server. It just signs everything device side, sends it to the server for submissions.
So if the if the physically moving stuff from the phone, but hold on, if this is closed source,
how do you know about this? We don't, we don't know about anything. Okay, thank you.
Internals closed source. Because now, like now, they're popular closed source.
We don't know how it works. That's right, and the popular. Just wait for the report.
What what Lighter is saying is actually what's like very popular right now,
which is like using a third-party auth service that um you know they it's like encrypted
and shared between them and also the the user's device. So then you have to put them both together
for signing and shit. But um, my question is though, if we if we're trying to help people
that got hurt with this, what where what what are we telling them to do? I mean, of course,
putting that seed free somewhere else is a problem. So we should just. Apparently,
Blockjog wants us to go get Team Mooncoins. Sending sending the cards, sending funds manually.
That stuff will be the option. I would never buy anything on AI. To which wallet, Blockjog? Okay,
so I don't know that we should recommend any wallets specifically, other
than to list the wallets available because they're closed source and we don't know what's going on
with any of them. But the important thing that people should be doing right now is go pick
another one, create two new wallets, one of them being restore from seed,
and then you take your funds from that one and you switch it to the other new wallet you made.
That's what you need to be doing right now to secure your funds. And which wallet you choose?
I'm sorry, it's like a fucking crap shot right now. I I don't know because they're closed source.
And also redelegate your drepada. So just here comes an opportunity. New wallet spinning up now.
Open source. I need me. We got five million. I need five million. That's like five minutes left,
and Epo has his hands up, so it's like I don't know forever. What's up, Epo? He's even there.
Tell us your Euro story. Tell us your Euro story. You got five. Yeah, security expert.
This is the security expert. Security expert. Yes. Yes. Come on. If you want to view paradise,
simply look around and view it. Anything you want. Shit! Hold on, bro.
I'm gonna interrupt you because I don't want to hear the fucking singing.
This is why he had his hand. Yeah. Somebody interrupt the singing. No,
I definitely interrupt the singing. How was that? No, that's pure imagination.
Can you just let him go to the part? Oh no, I do that. That's where he wanted to get to, guys. No,
he was gonna get to the good part. You guys are jerks. Y'all are app, but I don't want to.
Y'all are app today. You give okay. No, no one of you motherfuckers are recognized as an EPAC. Okay,
EPAC is recognized. Thank you, thank you. Well. I just my caution is to not make any rash decisions,
but I do like the plan of get things out of your ROI with a secondary wallet restored.
I think that's solid advice, no matter what if you're migrating. But let's wait
for some more information to come out because literally we can guess all day
and throw out like wild accusations, but we have literally no way to verify anything.
So just putting that in in context. So would you restore or would you restore or manually send?
Like I would restore, restore in a different wallet, and then and then to send to another,
to a third wallet. Yes. So the restore is the middle point. Like restore first,
and then grab another one, and then manually send. Okay. Right. You pick a new wallet,
and then you create, or you pick a new app, whatever the the wallet, whether it's Eternal or Lace
or whatever the hell you pick. You pick one. You do two new wallets there.
One of them is restore from seed. That's where you're going to be getting your current funds,
and then you're going to transfer them from that restore to seed to the other new wallet
you created there. With the new password, you should do right now. Yes. Yep.
So I used to think of this, if I may, I apologize. So I used to think of this as layers of cake,
right? Very one dimensional. In other words, like a tier up, right? So you had a wallet.
The wallet would do these transactions, and then what I found was that.
Y'all getting engagement fund right now, by the way. Yeah, whatever. Um,
there were the idea of these tokens that were all the same, however,
over different you know networks. In other words, you had trade, you had swap, right? So, look,
wallets are wallets, and if you're gonna use one on a computer, I consider that a soft wallet,
right? A hot wallet is one on an exchange, and a cold wallet is one that you can go offline with.
Choose the best for you. Now, when you're talking about like restoring, yeah,
you're gonna definitely go and come after with seeds. But then the wallet itself has to be on
the same network. Like that's like so. You want to choose something that can actually speak to
many networks, or has the ability to speak to many networks, because you want that swapability,
right? You want to be able to exchange in between these many networks. It could be the same token,
just many networks, you know. Um. Did I tell you his engagement for me, Yuna?
Unless you're in the kadano, how how am I engagement farming, bro? I would like to.
I want to hear this guy. I want to know how the fuck am I engagement farming.
I would love to hear this guy because I want to know how the fuck you're hunting and gathering
and farming stuff. But we do have a guest. Apparently, this motherfucker knows more than I. We we
we have a guest right now, so we're going to switch the conversation. Get into our guest slot,
so they can tell you exactly what to do with your in after you switch the wallet
and pick the deer up. What what what what? Nice. Welcome, welcome. Hey everyone,
good to be here again. Tough day. Can can I? I want to comment a little bit about the what
we spoke before. I'm not an expert in technology or wallet, but one of the companies
we tried to onboard in the last couple of years called Checkpoint, which was one
of the leading cybersecurity companies in the world, and they actually built kind
of a firewall type product for Cardano. And yeah, for me it was kind of always the objective
was always how we connect this type of company kind of to give compliance when we go
and speak with financial institution or other companies. Anyway, so I think that that's important.
Sometimes, sometimes we are, or many times we are a lot between ourselves and yeah.
Sometimes it's good also to work with external enterprises and external companies.
Is it open source? I mean, no. Checkpoint themselves, it's not an open source.
It's a Nasdaq traded company. They created the firewall 20 years ago. And actually,
all the financial institution, like all the Fortune 500 financial institution, are their clients.
But they they they work on a solution. They they actually a solution that is develop was available
for everyone. Everyone could connect, check the network, connect the the assets, choose to opt in.
It was yeah very tough to get adoption, and I think it's still available somewhere,
but they are just not maintained. Are you talking about the Checkpoint Firewall? Yeah,
so this company, yes. But anyway, it's a different discussion. I just want to add
that sometimes it's good also to have external eyes and external companies. Yeah,
I don't think that would actually work. They actually did the UTXO version.
They did an incredible job. They did. They worked on it for every year, over ten engineers,
and they did. I mean, they're already scanning. It would be a different discussion, Yoram.
I I don't think it's actually the solution you do. Okay, it's a different discussion.
I would like to be solution here, but they build kind of ten checkers checkers for Cardano,
dedicated just scanning every day all the Ethereum transactions and they going into a lot of frauds.
But it's a different discussion. Just I just put it out there because of the hot topic. So anyway.
Pleasure to be here. Thank you very much for having me. Happy to have you. Before you dive in,
I know we have some farmers in the room that's collecting seeds, and why not?
Who might be new to the space or the ecosystem? So just do that intro again for us,
and then dive right into it. Retweet the room, please. Retweet the room. We can. Sorry.
Do you understand that, Jenny? We want to talk about your proposal, Yarm.
We want to hear about this. Perfect. So, yeah, my backgroundβI'mβI background is come from
entrepreneurship and and technology companies for many years. Eight years ago, left my comfort zone
and joined a non-for-profit volunteer for two years, working on agricultural supply chains.
From one side, with hundred multinationals like Nestle and others, but working on the ground,
I spend a lot of time in Indonesia with farmers. And my role was how I can help to scale impact
through business. I figure out that we need technology for that. After two years,
and started to look into satellite and blockchain. Found the vision of Charles,
fell in love with the with the vision and the technology, and then with the community here,
and spent the last six years in this ecosystem. I'm part of a couple of projects in the ecosystem,
and Damio and and Sundial, but I spend most of my time my time actually speaking with enterprises
and onboarding them to Cardano. Not always easy, but I think it's yeah that's where I spend my time,
and I think there is you know before jumping kind of into five a.m. Which you can see the connection
of you know where I volunteered you know eight years ago. I think really what
we kind of missed to understand as an ecosystem is that maybe four or five years ago
it was great to build on the infra, and it's great to have incredible infra,
but it's not enough anymore. At least the market doesn't recognize that is enough anymore.
And this budget cycle was very tough on adoption proposal. There's no adoption proposal basically
that got funded or very few, or no at all. And and I think it's yeah I think it's pity
and I think there is a big gap in understanding of the adoption side and the onboarding side.
And and by doing it in the last few years, I can tell you we already missed
some very very big opportunities to to onboard these enterprises and kind of build
win-win solutions. But yeah, because we you know how do you onboard someone to Kadano?
How do you make you know where does it go? Where where how do you build this win-win solution
with them? It's quite complex. And yeah, and I think we have an incredible opportunity today.
I really hope we will make it. It's seems a little bit tough at this time. We are not far.
But it's it's I mean I I really believe when I applied. This opportunity,
I believe that the ecosystem will jump on that. I mean, how many opportunities really,
as an ecosystem, we have to have a product that is already working and is starting to scale to
a hundred thousand users. It's have a concrete plan to partner with multi-billion-dollar
company like Syngenta, and that have a network of three million farmers on the ground.
And in the next phase, they are onboarding us to you know partnership with the IFC and
the World Bank on concrete you know project and building infrastructure for them.
So with concrete transaction numbers like two million transaction, we are committing
and we will make will make them. Onboarding, you know, two million dollar to start with loans,
I think, would pass it by far. But all of these KPIs and partners focusing on concrete vertical
and disruptive solution, I really thought it would be easier, to be honest.
And I appreciate a lot of feedback from dearups and questions, and yeah, appreciate.
And we try to anyone that raise any question to really answer in a lot of details,
and and come up with you know a lot of details and any community member that have questions.
So that's kind of a little bit. If you want the The challenge to onboard this partner.
I wanted also to share here before we jump in. It's although we we you know we ask for a lot
of money, 10 million EDA, the the ecosystem doesn't carry that alone. So
because we are working on supply chain with big multinationals, a lot of actually the onboarding
of farmers is done by by other multinationals. In our case, by PepsiCo and Coca Cola
and other brands, and we pay basically because of that actually the cost for us to onboard
this farmer is really a fraction of the cost. That's one. Second, Singenta and Cetiva,
another company, obviously pay their own fees and their own work. They don't,
they don't take it from the treasury. And and today with Ada Price, we are basically financing
the project ourselves. Right? We started in 2013. Ada Price fell 60 percent.
We are still delivering. Our commitments are in US dollars, so we're basically financing
this project ourselves today, with some support obviously from from the fund themselves.
But and so yeah, so that's just to understand the kind of the environment around that. Anyway,
it was a long pre-intro, if it makes sense. But I can go into the solution themselves if you want.
The Dubkabits app. I asked a crap ton of questions last time you were on here.
I would love to hear questions from everybody else in the audience. Do give us the overview
of the product. There's one question on deck in the chat, I think. But let's hear the overview
first. Yeah. So let me give you the overview and what we are trying to solve.
Small farmholders is a huge traditional decentralized industry. 500 million small farmholders
around the world, representing over a billion people. The biggest challenge that they have is
because it's so fragmented and small. So the cost of information from the farm to the market is
very high. Right? If we imagine ZenGate or any other solution that need to go
and offer the solution to farmers to onboard them, it's very very costly. And because of that,
the cost of the applications that offering them services, if it's finance, insurance, carbon,
is also very expensive. Right? It can go. Microfinance can go thirty, forty, fifty percent at times.
So basically, what we started to work on originally, originally on a satellite oracle,
but then it evolved to 5:00 a.m. Dot Earth, is we say, okay, if we are
able to to collect information and put it in a trust layer, blockchain-based trust layer,
and collect it once and share it multiple times, we can actually reduce the cost
and and connect it in a more efficient way to business application. And if we are able to scale it
to millions of farmers, then we can see how business application can easily connect through APIs
and offer the services. And what we are extremely fortunate again, that Syngenta Corporation
loved the idea, and they connected us with Syngenta Foundation India, which is working with
three million farmers on the ground through a network of agri entrepreneurs.
These agri entrepreneurs are financed by PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, and other brands.
So every time they onboard more agri entrepreneurs, they onboard around five hundred thousand
new agri farmers, sorry, a year, and each agri entrepreneur works between
hundred to one hundred fifty farmers. So for us, it was incredible opportunity to start working with
them because we are not expert of India, Kenya. But we are expert of the technology,
of the infrastructure technology. So we found the right partner basically to offer that product
on the ground, and this is how we can actually scale very fast through this path.
So what we do today, just to sum that fast. So the trust layer include today satellite oracle,
which collect field borders and sustainability index of each field. It means if the land decreased
or improved over the last twelve years. So if it's improved, obviously mean better yield
and better capabilities, and if it decreases, there is a problem to solve.
And then the agri entrepreneur through the app verified the field border with the farmers,
and he onboard yield and crop information, and this what we send on chain, right?
And that we start showing that we can do it at scale at a very very low cost.
And as we keep on making the the trust layer with information stronger,
in the background there is wallet infrastructure, and digital identities infrastructure,
all of that is building the background. But as we make this stronger, we can see
how we can start connecting it to business applications. And the next phase is say, okay,
we show we can scale to 100, 000 farmers, and now let's connect it to business applications.
And the first three applications actually we are connecting them. So one is is our friends
at ZenGate for certification and compliance with our clients, and they have some very big clients
that they are talking with. And the second is with Seedstall, which is another company
we're onboarding to Cardano, which is a microfinance expert. They already structured
hundreds of millions of dollars of deals around microfinance, and they are basically the expert
to actually train the agri entrepreneurs through AI, build a credit score based on the trust layer,
provide the first loans. Get repayments, build the credit scores again based on that, and provide
more and more loans and so on. Another app that is involved there, and there I will stop,
is Andamio, which is actually in the background, helping to build the reputation
for the agri entrepreneurs of the farmers. So everything the agri entrepreneur learns on
the platform and everything he do on the platform is get recorded and start building his reputation,
and that's done by API from Andamio. So we see multiple Cardano stacks involved already: Andamio,
Engate, DeFi, stablecoins, oracles. Already in this phase, and they will scale going forward. Yeah,
I stop here, but I can continue on and on as you can see. That is dope. Anybody have a question?
If I, what's up, Miss Madam Mrs. Mrs. Dingo, Madam Madam? I'm just waiting to see what my title is.
Go on. Um, Yoram, I I just want to break this down simply. What is the public good deliverable? So
that people see that this is not just a treasury-funded growth capital for a private product. Okay,
good. I will I will split it to two questions, so to two answers. First of all,
to understand the structure. So 5AM. Earth is designed in
a non-for-profit revenue-generating foundation. Okay, it's not a company for profit,
and the reason is again we want to be one thing to do the best is to become the trust layer
of information of agris supply chains, and build on top of that tens of millions of farmers,
and this is why big partners, Exigent, I like the World Bank is interested in that model.
So that's one. So there's, and then there is the application layer, which is where the businesses
are happening, right? And there's relationship of payments between them to facilitate that.
So what what we get, we get 500,000 farmers onboarded to Cardano with wallet infrastructures,
with digital identity infrastructure, satellite-to-AQL transactions on the trust layer.
We get two million commitment for two million transaction minimum. You know,
speaking about the next 18 months. We get two million dollars in loan, loan delivered minimum of
two million dollars to ten thousand farmers as a pilot, and then using
different Cardano application, Cardano stacks. Yeah, and partnership with world leading partners,
as I mentioned before, we are tapping into three countries now.
So it's going to be continued to grow in India. Then our friends at Kenya need to go
and visit Darlington there, and Cambodia, and in collaboration again with. The World Bank and IFC,
and and and if you go to a site called globalae. Dot org, you can see the scope
of this collaboration because these partners aim to grow to hundred million farmers in
the next ten years to serve, and already use millions of farmers. So our technology,
the infrastructure I designed before that we are building with the KPIs,
is basically the infrastructure that is going to be used by this type of organization,
and you can imagine the scale potential further to this proposal. In addition,
we are not going to request any more funding. We are committing not to request any more funding
from the ecosystem. We are committing for these KPIs, even though the price fell a lower 40% than
when we applied, and we are committed to bring external money as well to the project.
I actually got a confirmation today from a cooper that is going to donate money to the
to the trust layer as well, and so you know we, yeah, basically we are committing also to bring
external funding and finance itself as well. So that's kind of the basic.
I can go into detail in each one of them, but that's the basic of what's delivered.
Very concrete KPIs, world-class partnerships, long zone chain. I mean,
and the visibility we will have. We alreadyβthey told me like we would have been.
There was a World Bank session a week ago. They told me, "Tell us what's up if we can already
if the proposal will pass and we can present there." I told them, "Let's wait a little bit.
" But I mean, visibility and the partners we are tapping in with concrete proposal,
with concrete project, not just you know throwing the big numbers out.
I think it's an extraordinary opportunity for Cadano. What's up, Cristina? Well,
I want to see if anybody else had questions. I don't want to monopolize. So,
if anybody else has questions, please raise your hand, ask to speak, come up. Otherwise,
I'm just going to keep going. I'm going to just keep going. All right, Yoram. You mentioned KPIs,
and I love KPIs. Talk to me about the metrics that you're going to use to prove this is working.
I mean, the KPIs themselves. I mean, if you speak about the the transaction, I mean,
everyone can see them all the time, right? There will be a dashboard. I mean,
there is already a dashboard. We are already live. That's important to say.
With 25,000 transactions, and so we can provide the dashboards, and that's very simple to follow.
The farmers as well, we can we can follow the each each transaction of the the datum
that you know reflect certain farmers with field and all the data related to them.
So that's very easy to to see. If that's answer your question, and then specifically again
with seed sales, we are going to basically provide the loans. I mean, everything is is
transaction oriented, so it's very easy actually to report on the. Visibility.
If that's answer your question, Christina. I mean, so that's that's the main metric,
is we're just looking at TVL. So there's three metrics, right? TVL, transaction on chain,
and number of users, right? That's the three metrics. To give you just a little bit more details,
if we look on the lending part to to understand how complex it is or how the process works.
So Cystal, you can see also Cystal.com, very very interesting company.
They are going to provide AI training to the agri entrepreneurs. That is going to be in
the background to have Andamio in the background that already will put some transaction on chain.
Then they are building the credit score based on the trust layer information.
That's another transaction that can also fit peer-to-peer lending and other other use cases.
Then they are going to provide the first loan, a hundred dollar, two hundred dollar
loan to the farmers, and there will be three repayments, three or four repayments scheduled.
So we are around five and six transaction, and then there's going to be update to the credit score.
Right, so we are looking in each transaction cycle. We are looking on six, seven,
eight transaction per farmer that are happening, and that's what we want to show there.
And obviously, we want to prove that we can do this transaction at a cheaper cost of finance
for the farmer than what they get otherwise, because we reduce a lot of intermediates in the middle.
Does that make sense? It does. Thank you. Okay, but that's to give you example how deep we go with
this use case and with the partners. And and we imagine as we grow the number of farmers,
imagine 500,000 farmers. How many builders on Cardano can offer applications for these farmers?
And we say, okay, we want to do a test with 10,000 farmers in Kenya. Okay, they're already on board.
You know, it's easier through the API to do some kind of test with them.
And so that that's what we're developing for the ecosystem. So we're already speaking with people
about parametric insurance, for example, that contact us and other application that can come.
Although we are very focused on what we committed on for the next 18 months.
And five hundred thousand. Imagine it's huge. I mean, it's yeah. I mean,
it's it's huge numbers to onboard to Cardano with wallet infrastructure, with transaction,
with the trust layer. Start showing that to different multinationals.
It will definitely make Cardano as one of the biggest infrastructure already for agriculture
in terms of technology, and and we are just starting. So that is huge. Yeah, these these.
What kind of worst case scenario are you guys planning for? What happens if ADA goes to five cents?
It's tough again. For now, from fund thirteen to now, price went down sixty percent, right?
Sixty five percent. Yep, yep. And a lot of teams have shut stop because of this. Yeah,
it started at zero nine, I think, and now we are yeah we are we are where we are today.
So we didn't stop. I mean, obviously it's challenging. Again, we are all working at a loss.
We are all sponsoring now. The I mean, there are teams to pay to, and there are people on the ground
that are speaking with the farmers and. There are costs to cover for the satellite,
but we are continuing with what we committed on, and we deliver what we committed on.
So for this next phase, I again, we are not going to count only on funds here.
I think the funds here are important, kind of to nail and put Catalina in the center. But I mean,
we are going to bring more funds. We are able that we can to show that we can scale.
We out of pilot. We want to go out of this kind of pilot phase, and we're able to show
that we can scale with this level of partners. We are quite confident we can bring other.
Other revenues and other partners as well, and I mentioned to you today. I send it. You know,
not everything can go public, but I send it to a few people in Cardano. I got a confirmation,
a verbal confirmation today, that one of the cooperates involved wants to put money in the donation
in the in the in the foundation, in the 5m foundation. And the reason they want to do it first,
they want us to help to scale the farmers, but they see business applications that connect to that
and make a lot of money there, right, with their services. So, and this is where the money is,
right, in the business layer, in the business application there. Yeah. But it's tough. I mean,
definitely now it's tough with the price of data. Yeah. Second price related question. Um,
in the proposal, uh, the expectation of average fee, I think it was like fifteen cents or something.
No, twenty five. Was twenty five in the proposal. Um, no transaction fee for using the. Um.
When you were estimating your revenue of sixteen or twenty million ADA per year,
that was based on fees, right? It's based on fees, so there would be multiple fee structures,
but one of them to simplify again, we can go into details. But the microfinance industry, right?
So we we want to take down the fee of finance, but but let's say in India from twenty percent
to ten percent, but we will take one percent fee to access the farmers base, right?
If again I give the example of Zengie just to understand, so they they now onboarding
fifty thousand farmers in Nigeria. It's very costly to do it. You need to have people on the ground.
You need to okay build the right app for them. Each country can be different technology.
So they get a lot of expertise in that, but it's also very costly to do.
But if you already have these farmers, so then they can pay a fee, get access to the farmers,
and then they can actually do their business, which is provide transparency
and traceability for multinationals or for traders or whatever clients they are onboarding,
and they can focus on that part, which is where their business is. So that's the goal.
So they will be really ready to pay a commission or a fee to access the data as we scale the number
of farmers. That makes sense. I was just wondering if you had a a nice ADA number assumption
about ADA price targets that that made you arrive at that twenty million ADA.
So we can all smile a little bit. If you assume ADA would be on par with fifty cents or.
It's based on transaction, right? So the transaction coming transaction we are going to make.
So that means all the percentages is sort of in is in stables. Like sorry. Percentages
and calculations is all in stables. Yeah, a lot of them. A lot of them are in in in dollars
because the the the life outside, like the farmers, you know, they will not even necessarily get
the AIDA, right? Yeah, they will. The payments in the background will be in AIDA, but they will get
hundred dollars, two hundred dollars. That actually brings me into my my next question with the TBL.
The TBL you were saying was going to be. Seven hundred fifty million or something into thirteen.
Into thirteen. So let's let's split. So what we commit on on 2018, like the 2027, sorry,
the next year and a half, is very hardcore commitment that we will deliver.
It's what I mentioned before. But we are not going to stop there. Our goal is to scale to 2030
to three million farmers through our partners again on the ground,
and and with that we are starting to scale also obviously after we prove the the lend
the lending structure to start scaling the lending the lending volumes. And so, if we just do,
and so, so we did estimated calculations for 2030. It's not, I mean, of
if a certain percentage going to land and x amount a year. So it's estimations based on
only one main application, which is the finance application. But we can imagine
multiple applications there, and it's just estimation on that. And then the the farmers themselves,
how they start using the wallets. The scale, so we imagine, you know, that the farmer keeps
some money in stable. If you need to pay for certain external, like insurance or external companies
or repayment, or invest them in some money, keeps in local currency, and the transactions there
between them and all of that can can generate obviously two, three, four transaction per month.
So it's all connected to the scale that we, the scale of yeah yeah that makes sense.
The the question that's coming into mind is that TBL is after the farmer have spent the thousand
that they got to buy the fridge and like what. Which part is still actually locked versus
out deployed in the real world? Yeah, so it's good question. So some of it will be locked,
and someβI mean, some of it will be paid. But in the process, there will be some that are kept,
right, by by the farmers, and they are not using everything immediately, right? So
and there is repayments, and so there's different processes there. But in general, yeah,
they're getting the the the funding. They're using some of them. Some of them stay stay
in the network. Let's do it, Kabisa. Well, I think that brings us to time.
Unless someone has a burning question, going once. Well, I just wish that I just wish
the the palm economy team would have come at least once to talk to us.
I don't know why they. I was expecting for them to hoping that today or one of those. Yeah,
because I mean, I definitely would have questions for them, but they, yeah, I don't see them.
So I can't, you know, they were down there, the listeners, a little while ago. Where'd they go?
Yeah, I don't know, and you know how Twitter's been. Who knows? I think, but um, no, the. Yeah,
please, please. No, no, I'm just um, I know you're like uh, be having a little bit of a challenge,
um, trying to get get the reps. Like I've seen, I've seen the conversations with Utah, for example,
um. So can we just address that? Um, the the where the I was like the impasse there, or something.
How would you how we would call that? It's just like non. It's not meeting there, you know.
Like it's just like this kind of like pushback on on this perspective and.
Is there anything you can say that can help? Because a lot of people read
what he's out there saying, and maybe this is an opportunity for you to address it
a little further outside, just like you know, posts on Twitter, which sometimes like don't give you
the opportunity to elaborate as well as as you can here in a space. And language barrier
can can impact as well. So first of all, I think the deer ups are working extremely hard,
and it's highly appreciated. And Utah as well, it works extremely hard,
and they have a lot of responsibility. But we need to think about different things again.
If we look on this budget cycle, that no. Adoption proposal is good enough,
and many technology proposals are great, right? And passing in big amounts,
and and I think we need to question ourselves if we build the right. First of all,
how do we go to a budget cycle with what are the budget framework? That's number one,
and kind of priorities within that. And then I'm asking them: Do we have?
Do anyone have a clear path for adoption on Cardano? Like, do we have plans for a faster adoption?
Can you share with me? Except of just speaking big numbers and will connect to some other networks
and billions will flow. Okay, that's great. But do we really have concrete pasto adoption?
Do we have a strategy how to onboard cooperatives to Cardano? So this is things that I'm concerned
about. Not from now. In the last six months, I joined the growth and marketing committee
and the product committee, and you know we build kind of frameworks for a vertical approach,
which I think is extremely important for Cardano now, like to define verticals
and kind of do them in a more organized way and build the go-to-market approach.
And one of them would be Bitcoin DeFi and governance, and another one, obviously,
5AM is another example of a vertical approach where we build a disruptive solution
for a big industry with big partners. So, so all of that we need to do in a more organized way
on Cardano. And today there is the gap of understanding, or not? I don't know if understanding is
the right way. There is a gap between, you know, how we treat technology
and how we treat adoption on the ecosystem. Yeah, and you just see that. I mean,
I'm I'm not sure if anyone any proposal had so many questions that I had about. Okay,
what's the exact number in 2030 that you will make, right? I don't know if anyone had
any technology company had. Show me the code that will be in 2028. If the
if you have I don't know 10,000 code lines or what the right questions there to ask. About that,
so the level of details, which is easier to go in a adoption proposal, right? And what I try,
and and I think I don't know if also people understand how much work is happening behind the thing.
The thing that you just create this proposal and you bring some gentle cooperation, you know,
to come and work with us, and that's it. And yeah, and and then now you ask money, and you,
you know, there's a lot of a lot of trust issue, and I don't know if it's
because of catalysts in the past or, yeah, I don't know why it is. Well, yeah,
probably some of that. There's been a lot of asks. Like for example, you you're committing to
not asking for any more, um, you know, like uh, refunds. But that will that be through like is that
like an L Connect thing, or is that like also a Palm Economy thing? Or like is Palm Economy
going to continue to request? And what happens if Palm Economy, if Sengate just has to shut down?
How does that? Where does that leave L Connect in terms of this project? You know,
in the future as well. On that we got, you know, obviously the budget here is five AM and
Parma Economy is is a great partner, application partner, but the infrastructure is really five AM,
really scrounged. But we we every dear up that asked questions, we replied very detailed replies,
and I can show you the documents of going into details, replying, trying to explain.
But sometimes if you come with a certain mindset, it just yeah, sometimes more challenging. Again,
I saw that the ecosystem will jump on something like that of this level of partners with this level
of transactions with pass to adoption. I mean, of course, there is risk.
But not doing it is also kind of risky, right? Investing also in infra doesn't doesn't seem
that the market likes that as well. So at least we have a path for adoption,
and we have the right partners to do it, and we have a product that makes sense to do it,
and we are working extremely hard to do it. You know, yeah, basically not making so much money
some people saw that we are making, actually spending money, and and we really believe in that.
So I wish there were five proposals like that that show the concrete path for adoption
in different areas with concrete KPIs, and then we can choose between them.
But there's not many today. This type of proposals. So we can choose, and and again,
I understand there is risk. I mean, there is risk. We took the risk, some funds thirteen
on ourselves, and there is risk going forward. But we also have very strong partners.
There was a race to Yarmen Gander and Project Catalyst. Sorry. No. Just infrastructure play
that went nowhere and cost tens of million. Yeah. So. And I. Yeah. But it's good to talk about
the risks. And some on some. I mean, Catalyst. They tried in the end to do this partner track,
and we onboarded some good partners. I mean, you are going to see incredible success with Balsa.
You know, in Balsa, we had 15 months of administration. I spent 15 freaking months
of discussing administration, wasting my time basically, getting zero on that,
just to make sure we are ready to actually work together. And now you, I think,
you are going to do something incredible, nice in the next couple of months.
But so there's a lot of economy. Yes. Sorry, Yoram. Palm Economy, come up here
and tell us about your roadmap. We get us excited about this proposal.
Yes, I agree. Ask, did you have your hand up? Or did I? Are you coming, Palm? Are you coming?
We want to know. You killed them. I don't know why. Like we've like you know have them here forever,
but we haven't heard from them in a long time. Um, I had the pleasure yesterday of having
this similar conversation with your in my space and stuff, and I'll I'll just remention it here. Um,
my impression from several several posts and stuff that have been opposing, you know, five AM
and stuff. For some reason, we're well. I know the reason, but the the parallel
that people are drawing is, I think that some people are not in support because, to be honest,
because it seemed like the the 5 a.m. Proposal. Even though I know the difference now.
And Palm sounded very alike, and and and an entity has raised a shit ton of money,
pretty much on the same thing, and now is partnering up with another entity that seemed to have like
overlapping whatevers. And and I mean, yesterday Yoram kind of, you know, clarified it
and everything with me. I'm like cool with it, but I think that 5AM is kind of facing opposition
because of that partnership. Yeah, but I'm happy that if you know it's a fair point, and I'm again,
I think they're a great partner, and we're happy to work with them. But if any,
if D-RABS can just ask questions, right, and then we will answer in details, and we explain,
you know, yeah, oh yeah, for sure. Yesterday, so that's that's what I'm,
and we try to answer in a lot of details for any question. I mean, not everyone likes it,
but we try to answer as much details. And many D-RABS that we provide information actually voted for
the proposal. So understand the concern. They're they're important partner.
They are going to have some success from their side, but. 5 a.m. Yeah,
is is kind of the infrastructure where every Cardano builder can build on. Can I put EIP on a spot?
Um, well let me check your yes. Because I think you said you voted. Just do it. No on this proposal,
maybe. Uh, any feedback after hearing the proposal, or did I did I miss here?
Let me let me check your D rep. Damn light up. Can I light up your eyes? I just I just want to know.
I just want to know. I mean, he see her. He can tell you. He can tell me. He's like,
let me go check. I don't even trust you. Let me let me just make sure he's not lying. Okay.
Can you not hear me? One wallet exploit now. People don't trust each other who've been on
the same stages for years. The EPAD direct did vote no. Has Yoram changed your mind at all?
Do you have more questions? Why did you did they leave a rationale? Let me see.
But let's give you the mic. Check check the rationale first. Damn, light a white. Come on,
we want to. I don't have a podcast. No, Lydo has it pulled up. You're like vote shaming his ass
right now. No, I'm not going to conversation. Why am I coming on session? There's no shame in it.
There's no shame in it. I'm reading the rationale, E. Park. My carry on. E. Park.
Africa needs this for their leering center that Lydo is running. So he is going to lobby
for you to vote yes on this. At least abstain, apparently. So this was crazy, Lydo.
I'm not even gonna lie. Hilarious, but fucking crazy. Will your stress be lowered if I change it
to abstain? Unless you have a strong no, if you have a good no, sure. But if you, if oh sorry,
go ahead, Yoram. No, I'm sorry they put you on spot, but if you if you have like,
what's your main concern? I'm happy to try and answer that. Like if you want to share it, otherwise,
if I didn't answer it already, but otherwise, yeah, I mean, I don't want to put you on the spot,
but if you have a big concern, I'm happy to to try and mitigate that, if it makes sense. Otherwise,
we can do it through DMs if it's easier. No, I mean, I think the bigger macro concern
is really just around you know total spend. I approved a lot of proposals. And you know I'm not.
Damn it! Am I disconnected again? Fuck you, Twitter! No, we can hear you. We can hear you. No,
that's good. You're disconnected. Drop down. Come back tomorrow, because Lighto put you on the spot.
He's forcing the hand right now. As your legal attorney and advisor, I'm just kidding. Oh,
I guess he did. Well, drop. Come on, Ebo. Can you read us the rationale while he comes back later,
so we can address it in the meantime? What what what did the rationale go? I just had it. Sorry,
sorry guys. You can't vote rationale. I don't even see the rationale. Damn it!
You think it's it's talking about the size of the proposal, right? That it's a big spend,
which is a ten million ADA spent. So, so I think it's a fair. It's a fair. It's a lot of money.
But you have to remember, E. Bucks always been the wackening half. He's not very
like comfortable spending a lot of money. He spend more money that like he's voted yes
on probably more things that he's comfortable with. Maybe has to do with that. I don't know. No,
so we we recognize it. It's a lot of money, and we appreciate that a lot.
And I think and eventually we need to remember when people say they don't want to spend,
that the 350 million are going to be spent, right? So we just need to see
where we are going to spend the money. So here in this specific case, it's a lot of money.
But again, look on the specific APIs, and I don't know if there's any proposal out there. I mean,
infrastructure is key and essential, but otherwise, except of that, any proposal that actually,
you know, bring concrete number of users, with concrete number of transactions,
with this level of partners, with concrete applications connected in a real world use case.
So it's important that I think now with the price of data, 60% of the money goes actually to
on board the farmers and the infrastructure trust layer with the satellite images.
So on top of that, we need the infrastructure on the block. Quick question, yeah. Yeah. Well,
hold on. Can I respond first? Oh, you're back. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. Snuck back in.
Did Lido ever find the rationale? Yes, I did. Read it aloud for the class.
Due to due to rationales becoming stressful in bear market vibes, I would not be provided rationale.
There you go. That was the rationale. That's what I voted the way I did. Love that.
That's a wild rationale. We need a no stress environment more than ever. Thank you, Lido.
Now that we got that message out there, I just want to put the context on it. When I voted no,
this was also the time when there were just like lots of. Proposals firing at lots
of high price tags, and after approving, you know, quite a few proposals that
I thought were critical, it felt like this was the, you know, one of the proposals that, you know,
I we could save some cost on, right? So I did it out of like just being prudent, but you know,
I can reassess today. You know, I think if the If the understanding is that this is going to be
really helpful, and happy to hear opinions, you know, privately, you know,
I'm happy to to update my vote to be always in the least stress configuration. So, Yoram,
are you stressed right now? You know, stress. I mean, we are working very hard to try
and explain as much as possible to D-RABS. I think there is a chance we are eight and a half or
eight percent from making it happen. I must say we are getting incredible support. Also,
tough questions from D-RABS, which is good, but also incredible support
from the many community members. And yeah, I mean, we need any help to pass it,
and we are trying to convert. There is some positive coming in, so I think we are able to make
it happen. So everything support. I'm stressed, boss. How can you remediate? How can you fix that?
I'm super stressed. I really want this to pass. What can we do? Jeddy found the secret code.
Yoram danced around the code, but no, I will immediately be updating my vote after this call,
either to abstain or yes. I just want to shift to a no stress environment. Okay,
and I am happy to provide any information needed. I mean, we will share we we share
so much information, and we'll share also in the remarks kind of a list of documents and links
and information that cover many many different topics. Please, Roy, go through it.
Any any question you have, just answer. I will just. Yeah. I mean, honestly,
the thing that resonates the most with me is that you're up here, like on a weekly basis,
trying to communicate and share the details of what's going on. And I absolutely respect the teams
out there that are putting in the extra time. So that alone, I think, will get you my abstain.
And like I said, I'll review and and and see some other rationales and see if I should ticket to
a yes as well. But appreciate you raising this to my attention. Thank you, I appreciate that.
Would only just alleviate a little bit of my stress level. Yes, will definitely put me
in a good place. Just saying, just take that. You know, whatever that works. You know. I mean,
I see that Lido just voted yes, and I will. I'm looking at the numbers here.
Looks like a little cockbump. Mm-hmm. A little cockbump. Mm-hmm. And then we have 58 percent,
and we need 67 percent. This is Jenny. I'm so glad I'm not behind the cup today,
so I can speak freely. This is not reflecting the view of the cup or the team,
but my own personal opinions. I happen to have a lot of faith in the work Yoram brings to
this ecosystem because I've seen it with my own eyes. I know how much he cares,
how hard he works behind the scenes. Before nobody knew where Yoram was,
and any kind of enterprise things that kind of happen around here, Yoram has had something
to do with it, right? So. Regardless of other things, you know, like he says,
this is he is leading this. So you know, as you mentioned, the the front gate
or or things like that. You know, I can understand that. I mean, I probably maybe even have
my own doubts myself, but I don't doubt the your leadership, and I think that you deserve, you know,
the grace that we can extend to you to to help us. You know, take Cardano to the next phase,
and I just don't really know many people in here that have that capability. So, yeah,
I just wanted to put that out there, Yoram, because you you really do have it brings something
extremely invaluable to this ecosystem, and I will more than gladly give you that that support
and and have faith in you. So, hopefully, you can deliver this for us, and then the community sees
that as well. And you know, just take this as an opportunity for for for the future as well. So,
thank you very much. We really, really, really appreciate the kind words.
I I don't like to be in the front. This is why many people didn't hear from me until recently.
I really like to work in the back and you know work with the enterprises and with the people.
But yeah, it was important to do it this time. So, kind of started to be to expose myself more.
But I really believe there is huge opportunities for this ecosystem for enterprise adoption.
There's a lot in this chain that can be there. If we just able to work a little bit
in more coordinated way with business frameworks, I think we can bring a lot
of positiveness quite fast, and that's what I'm trying to focus on. And yeah, so.
And it's your reputation, and I know that you work so hard. I know that you're gonna do everything
that's in your power to to not let us down, and I I I truly believe that. So I you have my support,
Yoram. Well, Emergo, Crypto Pro hasn't voted yet. Emergo is abstain. Who else abstained?
So it seems like this Sebastian is abstained. They abstained, right? Who else? No, Imago voted.
Imago voted. Cryptocrow didn't vote yet. So there are few people. Yeah, Imago abstained.
Cryptocrow hasn't voted. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, Imago voted yes. So you abstained, and oh,
they switched. Okay, nice. Yeah. Well, there we go. We're getting somewhere.
And they actually gave a very good rationale. If you read the rationale,
they they went into details. Yeah. So we yeah, there's some big ones that voted no quite early,
early, early in the beginning, and we. Didn't manage to speak with them much, like are we spies?
Or and then some that didn't vote yet, and some Japanese that really great community,
but a lot of them told me we focus only on infra, right? We invest only in infra. So I say great,
but what's what's the opportunities for adoption we have? Like how how we are. No, I know, Joanne.
We have an issue with this. We're going to have to fix this. We're going to need some sort
of structure where we allocate a specific amount of of our treasury NCL allowance into something
outside of. Yeah, it's crazy. Imagine that. We don't even have that many. Can I ask a question?
Yeah, we don't have even competing stuff. And then what we have is like, no, we don't. We only do.
Yeah, it's just, it's baffling to me. It's just crazy. But yeah, go ahead. When you move,
when you classify money as an NCL net change limit of the treasury, it doesn't, you know,
tether to any sort of like, hey, budget. And then what is the definition of budget?
How is that allocated among the needs and wants of the ecosystem? And blah blah blah. But hey,
technically, you don't need to do that if you call NCL rather than like a yearly budget.
That's not what I was trying to say though. I am not familiar with things that
Yoram has been involved with before and the result of those things. But Jenny seems to. So,
is there any way that you can like, you know, highlight some of the things that you've been part of,
the result? Because, sorry, Jenny, I don't take anybody's word for anything. It's not a trust me,
bro, thing. And I figure I just ask the man for everybody else in here. Yeah,
you put me on the spot now, huh? Like, okay. I was just asking you to brag. Just brag a little bit.
No, it's tough, but I mean. It's okay. I mean, the most sexy one. It sounds sexy, but I mean,
I mean, Barça is a huge achievement. I mean, normally when people go to Barcelona Football Club,
they spend millions of dollars to work with them. Right? We didn't spend that.
We are going to have an incredible product, fun engagement infrastructure product with Andamio.
The user even not going to know that they're using blockchain.
So everything behind is is basically going going to create a lot of transaction on chain.
And then we are going to to see how we commercialize it to to keep scaling it to their sponsors.
But that's a very What exactly was that product? Some trading cards or some shit? No, no, no, no.
It's not trading card. Basically, what we are building, we are connecting to the Discord.
So it's there today in the Discord, 150,000 users. It's kind of a pilot with them, and they, we, we.
It's going to be a series of engagements with them, where we start with the Barcelona history
about Barcelona football club, kind of questions around that, and engagements
where they learn something and then they need to do something in social media or others,
and then we go from like four cycles there. Then we go into Involvement of Barcelona Football Club
with different initiatives like plastics and UNHCR and others, and then there's going to be cycles
around wallets, Cardano blockchain, and Cardano wallets, and then another cycle about blockchain,
and and the infrastructure behind all this engagement. So what we teach the funds
and what they do is traced by Andamio and basically start to build the reputation of funds, right?
So and why it's important? Because as you build the reputation of funds and more engaging,
you can actually have to them access to different things that you want to do with the club.
Right for different fans, and and the problem they are trying to solve today,
they have 500 million fans or fans through social networks in the world, but who makes the money?
It's Facebook and Twitter and right all of these guys. So they are trying.
We're trying to see together how this engagement infrastructure can actually then be interesting
for sponsors to finance further engagement. Right, so that's kind of the mindset behind that,
and and then we are going to interact with them and and with other. This kind of part
of it is interacting with other Cardano application and see how we can collaborate with them.
And that's the interesting stuff that that we need to understand. When we interact with
such a big company, there are many opportunities. You know, first phase is how you build trust
with a concrete product. As you start building this trust, there are so many opportunities.
The question go back: Does how you onboard an organization like that, right?
And how do you actually make sure you make the best possible opportunities with them?
Because we can onboard tens of millions of of funds, but then what's the upside for them, right?
If they do that, in case they are able to do that. So these type of discussions are happening,
and then they started to happen with a big company like that about three years ago. So what I did,
I said, okay, I cannot do it alone. I'm no one. So I called Sheldon and I called, you know, JJ
and I called CF, and said, okay, let's work together to onboard a company like that,
another company. And the only one that I mean, not the only one. Everyone can participate,
but Sheldon was the really one that kind of started to work very closely on that.
And this is how I met him. But it's extremely tough to how do you make a deal to the Uncardano
with a big organization like Bowser. Right to actually onboard tens of millions of users
and and work on it. I mean, very it's extremely tough. So so that's one example. You know,
two examples they connected. Then many other companies. I mean, plastics.
If you heard about plastics, so kind of onboarded a lot of these companies.
Textiles that got funded, helped them in the background. UNDP. So a lot of these initiatives
in the background. I basically helped them a lot. And and between us, very open volunteering.
I mean, I didn't get anything from any of these deals. Just helping them to onboard into
the ecosystem. Checkpoint is another big one, which I think is a huge miss opportunity for us.
And again, for me, leave aside the technology, and you know, I for me,
it's just access to their clients. I mean, all the Fortune 500 we can ever sit in the table.
And they actually did a big event where they invited IEO at the time and midnight,
and there was all the big banks there, right, with the their clients and speaking about blockchain.
So yeah, Esco, you are in your hand. Oh shit! I didn't know that it was up, but yeah,
that makes sense. I mean, I've heard of all of them. Plastics is like the recycling plastic thing
in Europe or something, and yeah. What what would be like your personal opinion?
Because I'm sure you don't have like data right in front of you regarding the results of all
of these partnerships in in terms of like maybe some of the basic KPIs that people look at
when when looking on the surface of you know financial activity on the chain, right?
Because for the most part, you know, a lot of things are always funded with With the focus
on transactions, right to this day, I don't think there's any, if maybe very very few entities
that have like opted to give a portion of profits directly to treasury.
So everything is always like, hey, give me a million dollars, and we'll, you know,
we've already put ten thousand transact, and you know, we talked about this yesterday.
Sorry for repeating a lot of things. Let me give you an example. Okay, sure. First of all,
we need to understand that this project, again, at this level, takes takes a lot of time.
It's not a catalyst proposal that. Come on board, and youβit takes time to build with this type
of organization. But let me give you a small example, just to understand something that
we missed to achieve because of the ecosystem. So there was a company I knew very well,
and I helped them to come to Bergamo called Goodwall. Don't know if you heard about them.
And we did a couple of small projects and education and so on. And then we wanted actuallyβthey had
a hundred thousand ADA proposal to build a wallet, kind of to do an API for a wallet.
And and use payment. They have a network of two million small users in developing countries,
and to use stablecoin for payment to different initiatives that is financed also by companies
like Microsoft and other companies. So you can look at Goodwall.io. So they didn't get finance.
I worked on it very hard. Catalyst, you know, I was not really tried to get in finance.
They didn't get finance. Two weeks after the CEO of Circle met them, we actually in the meeting
in Paris to say how much you need. You put the money. I think today they have
five hundred thousand wallets. And transferring stablecoins. Not a lot of stable,
not a lot of transaction to be honest, per wallet. But this is just an example, right,
of of of the companies that we're trying to onboard them. And it's kind of complex to to onboard.
So, so to your answer, I think we we what we are missing is not the the connection to the companies,
the lead to the companies. We are missing a strategy, a kind of a vertical.
I call it a vertical approach strategy, where we define a certain vertical,
and we build the KPIs for the ecosystems, and we build the right partners for that vertical.
And then we can have a concrete plan, right, of adoption. And this is what we built for 5AM,
but I think we need to do it for Bitcoin DeFi and for other verticals as well.
And that's what's missing: missing, missing kind of a plan, a business framework to the ecosystem.
And then we can measure more easily because it's not that now you do a small project on Catalyst
and then you have millions of transactions on chain. That doesn't work like that.
I don't need to be a bigger strategy than that. And with the cooperation,
we need to have a business kind of task force that actually is able to be accountable
for the ecosystem, but also. Closed deals, you know that. Yeah, I mean, this.
I can tell you there were some big corporations now, from Japan, really huge ones,
that decided not to continue, even in catalysis they got funded, just
because they needed to put everything public. So what what I mean, it's not their fault
or our fault. It's clear if they get money, they need to be accountable. But we just need to build
better framework to work with these companies and to onboard these companies.
And this what I'm trying to help from my side, but. Yeah, doing the best I can.
I'm not sure I'm impacting that much, but that's what I'm trying to do. Okay, one last question.
One last question. And I swear to God, I'll stop bugging you. Um, I've heard like there's
a common party here, and maybe it is because of the product that they are working on
or that they offer. I heard Andamio for the layer of credit, credit layer on El Connect 5 a.m.
And then Andamio on the Barcelona, uh, you know, thing for like the fans and shit. Yeah. Um,
what is your relationship to them? No, so I'm I'm I'm both a co-founder of Andamia
and a co-founder of Sundial. If anyone didn't know, but I'm there from early days.
What are you doing like this? What did they do wrong now? No, they didn't do anything wrong.
I'm just saying that, like, I noticed that there was a no negative anything.
That now I see the connection. I mean, ultimately, now I see what more your position is in
in the several organizations. Yeah. No, no, but I think I was I was always sharing it. I mean,
I think it's always also in my LinkedIn. But I'm with Andamio, but with all of them
and and except of these companies. I mean, my work all day is speaking with enterprises, right?
For both of them, even with Sheldon. I mean, we went to a series of meetings somewhere.
I think half of the meeting were for for Sandile, and then half of the meeting were for
the ecosystem, like with Itoro and other companies like that. That we met as kind of ecosystem,
trying to promote the ecosystem. So I mean, you know, my I I believe that I can contribute to
the ecosystem through connecting to enterprises and bringing adoption.
And part of these two companies, now my big focus is 5AM. But yeah, I my work is is the same
is bringing these enterprises. And when I bring an enterprise, I say, okay, what solution can fit.
From the ecosystem, you know ZenGate. I'm not part of ZenGate, but they fit here and Sixstars.
We onboard them as well, and we're trying to onboard the right companies.
And this is why when we did a project with Balsa, one of the things was say, okay,
how can we introduce in the project catalog five and six other use cases with them as well outside
of Andami. So it's kind of yeah. So that's kind of the connection between them. Yep,
and it makes sense. Ultimately, you know, your BD side for these ventures,
and also in the fundraising side of things, which is business development.
And obviously they're all complementary at this point. It wouldn't make sense.
It would be counterintuitive if I was in your position to do anything besides on textiles or UNDP
or so many other projects. I mean, I don't have. Yeah, was was was Sundial Andamio any of them also?
Were they did they make it into textiles? Actually, Andamio did it to textiles,
but I I personally didn't go to any meeting between us. But yeah, they they did it to textiles.
But that was not. I mean, actually, they they wanted to. Yeah, I mean, we're sharing a lot of info.
They wanted actually to compensate me, and I actually my my my suggestion to these companies,
to several of them, is actually to create to have support in different countries,
like one in Africa, one in Asia, and one in Latin, and kind of do it through collaboration
with the ecosystem. And they didn't accept. So I I didn't I didn't ask for anything there
in this collaboration. And Joe is here to actually see her joining. She knows
that I kind of was trying to ask for that for the ecosystem. But a lot of this work I just do
because I think it's important for the ecosystem. And I mean, your your ventures
are undeniably benefiting. Whether it's you on a personal tip, you know, like that, that the teams
and companies that you're building are benefactors undeniably. I mean,
in the three different ventures that we that you've been able to connect enterprise-wise,
your ventures have ended up as a benefactor in the result. And it's not a bad thing.
That's what I I I just ask too many questions, I guess, and get too much. Hopefully,
answer all of them. But yeah, it's good. For sure, for sure, but yeah, that's it.
I just leave it there. Yeah. Well, and that's a wrap of an interview. Hopefully,
now we can we can get back to my personal problems. But before we do that, uh, thank you, Yoram,
for coming again and answering most more questions. Um, and telling Esco exactly what
he wants to hear. Um, and speaking directly to to the no stress D rep.
Thank you for reducing Jennings and Lido's personal stress. Um. I did not vote yes on this
because Kenya is benefiting. I would have voted yes even if it was Nigeria or Singapore
or even the USA. I hear there's something funny happening. Lido Nation Cardano Hub
will have a farm outside greenhouses coming right up. But thanks, Yoram. Thanks for coming again.
Let's let you have the last word, and then we'll get back into banter. No, thank you for having me,
first of all, and thank you for asking all the questions. Yeah, I mean, last hours, hopefully,
managed to share how much this proposal can impact Cardano and the value. Yeah,
please reach out if you consider big DeRabs that didn't vote, or reach out to DeRabs again.
Maybe Benji here will put it also on the on the chat. Yeah, we hope to make it cross the line.
I always think. Like imagine after working so hard on that, you have to go back to the enterprise
and say, okay, no, the you know, okay, we're not selected, right? That's also a tough thing to go
and say, you know, the World Bank and this and another. But we will deal with that obviously
if if needed. But now we are focusing to try and make it pass and make the best out of it.
So counting on this ecosystem and yeah, happy to answer any question or just DM me
and let's make it happen. Thank you everyone for the support, incredible support from the ecosystem.
If you just follow some of the Tweets and comments, and I think this proposal brought back
a little bit energy of the narrative of why we came to Cardano, why I came,
and many others six years ago. And but with a concrete plan actually to to take it forward
and scale it. So yeah, please support it and please share it with your dear ones. Thank you.
Thank you, Euron, for always having such a great attitude and just like continue to to believe in
the ecosystem. I I truly admire that in you. Thank you. Let's do it, Kabisa. Um, thanks, thanks,
thanks, thanks everyone for the good question. Thanks, Christina. Even
though you're off to some kabal meeting or another, uh, I think you're becoming a new journey
in the space, uh, on all the committees and stuff. Uh, power to you. Uh, yes,
let's get back to banter. Uh, started with. Where is Eternal? They left.
I really wanted them to tell me what. Oh, they they deployed some shit today. Everybody,
nobody wastes no time to promote their shit in times of chaos and stress. They're like, oh,
it happened to be V two releasing today. It's amazing. Perfect time. I'm like,
how can I block the update? Like, I am not ready to. I want to pay. I'm just.
I'm not ready right this instant to pay the amount. Wait, hold on. It's going to be a mandatory pay.
Well, the the two point one like a big pay or small pay? Ooh, a small pay, a small pay.
Big pay is big pay. Is he still out of the U.S.? Um. Anyways, forget about big pay. Um,
we'll get back to big pay later and other amazing things he's doing and the amazing wallet
and platform and onboarding. What about small pay? Uh, small pay is eternal.
That's what we're starting with. Okay. The question is this: two point one wallet. Well,
it's two questions really. Can we get a? Can the CF who has a line with the CF? They need to update
that wallet listing for which one is open source. Dude, I'm trying to get this information.
It can be. We don't really have more open source wallets. I can't believe it.
All the open source wallets shut down. A list came out. They were like, "Oh, Luce is doing it,
so we're good." Um, let's let Luce do it. We don't need. I haven't been able to use my Lace wallet.
Like my lace wallet is just completely like, yeah. Like I don't know what to tell you.
Here is the thing, okay. All of the 500 entities that I have in Africa, as you all know,
we all use Eternal Multi Seg, whatever wallet. And I saw a thing on the Gimelabs and Daniel ChitChat
that some of these things like message signing, and I think the the group wallet, the Multi Seg,
is now going to the paywall. It won't be free anymore. I hope they're not going to update
my extension automatically. Can someone block an extension from being upgraded? Is that a thing?
Yes. Oh, yes, you can. Okay. Is that true? I'm gonna look into this right now. I mean, I mean,
the way I have mine set up is that none of them get updated unless I manually update them. Oh,
because I need to freeze this shit. Because there's no way I'm. Glider says I will not pay for
this damn multi. You can't just. You got to plan these things, okay? You need a budget proposal.
You need a calendar. Oh my goodness! New dashboard coming soon. If your Google Chrome
doesn't have a massive exclamation mark in the top right corner that's red
and says you need to update, you're doing it wrong. You never click that. Wait, wait.
Not Google Chrome itself. Don't Google Chrome just update the extensions when there's a new version?
Well, that's why you can't press that button. It's update. But that is correct, right?
We're going to see the same Euro thing and like fourth upgrade to the eternal wallet,
and and you have to stay up. I'm not touching a single Euroi wallet for a while. Like, yeah,
less you touch it, the better. Unless you're moving funds out of it. In which case,
wouldn't it be nice if we had a button to see when you set up your new wallet to transfer your funds
from your Euroi wallet? You're gonna have to click all the transac, all all the different assets.
If only you could use Uroy to use send all, so that you can get all your assets into the new wallet.
Uh huh. But then again, like if you don't upgrade your eternal extension,
since it is a light wallet that's going to talk to a backend, see all your shit's gonna break.
Like those transactions won't go through anymore, right? In theory, because they're gonna nuke
the old backend and spin up the new backend, so you're gonna have to upgrade.
I don't think your non-upgrade is going to work for you, Epoz. Should we fork the chain
to undo the sixteen million? But it's not open source, so you can't fork it.
I'm just I'm just throwing grenades now in banter. I'm sorry, you can't fork it.
It's not open source. You can't fork it. Damn it! That's why we can't have nice things.
Because you can't you can't you can't fork the backend unless it's open source.
You know this this this month this month, due to the the nature of all the stress on the chain.
The economic environment and micro dynamics of the chain and the wallet and the prices.
We roll because we have this this silly infrastructure we have running.
We roll out open source version of like this might be a bug. Okay, I'm not saying this is a feature,
but we roll out open source version of full SaaS product that Lido pays for
and reduce our monthly spend by 400 bucks, just about like 390 something. Right,
so we're just running those self-hosted, not paying anything. We already had the server space
to roll them out. Things like replacing mail chain, replacing social boost for posting,
replacing password manager with self-hosted ones. You know, silly, silly random things that
most company and teams use, and that's worked out great. Like 400 bucks of the balance sheet
monthly going forward, which. Which is nice until our next catalyst. We won't. Oh fuck!
I thought we weren't gonna. I was about to celebrate that we wouldn't be seen. You
and damn catalyst. Oh my god! You see, he nipped me right before I even got it off.
Until we hit him again. But here's the thing: we can't, we can't self-host things that are not
open source. Like, what do we do? We even we're supposed to our own blog posts now. Um,
for all that free shit we provide, that needs blog post access. I was checking on like.
I was checking on your always like a GitHub repo. And it looks like the number two contributor in
the past like three months has been Claude. Well, yeah. I I wasn't gonna try
and disrespect them like that, but I was gonna say this will happen. I almost posted instantly.
This what happens when you vibe code your shit and don't get audited. I don't know
if that has anything to do with what's going on, but I thought that was funny. Well, did you know?
Do you remember that they also had a partnership with like this other wallet shit,
like one on one wallet? I don't even remember the name, but they partnered for
this whole second fight thing. They partnered with like a wallet connector, wallet some shit. Dude,
I have no clue. Yeah, let me look it up real quick. So zero wallet is zero wallet closed sourced
and same as Stifon wallet are those open are any of those open I don't I don't think I don't think
they're open so Stifon has some things and libraries that open source but I don't think the wallet
is open source dude we seriously don't have any options this is crazy dude I can't what's up Sanka
what you got for me I was gonna ask um can we get a an opera song it would be like
the perfect moment for one hey what an opera song I don't know an oh my Your opera, your opera.
You know, we definitely need an aria right now, right about now. That's funny. Ah, yeah, yeah, guys.
Oh, this is crazy. Stay safe out there. Be careful. Help a brother or sister in need.
Don't make fun of them. If you see anything happening, you know, like I,
I wish Blockjock was still here, uh, because he was like one of the first people that jumped
the conclusions. Like this looks like human error. Blah blah blah blah blah. It's like no,
it doesn't. He was like, yo, the Team U coupons are totally worth it. Don't move your shit out
of the wallet. Just collect Team U coupons. I was like, Blockjock, you are sincerely like, come on,
man. I wish he was here so I can like troll him. But yes, don't just assume that all the time.
I guess that what we're trying to like do is to help people mitigate, you know, their their risks.
So I guess what we've talked about is having creating two new wallets. One,
a new one where you can restore your seed phrase to outside of anything Ero or whatever Fi.
What is it? The name of that thing? Second Fi. Second Fi. Second Fi. Whatever name that is. Um.
So get a new wallet, restore your seed phrase there, and then. Open a new wallet,
fresh new wallet with a new password, new seed phrase, and send manually all your assets there
from the newly restored wallet. So that way you can like be safer. And yeah, it's pretty sad.
Can we just say what an ass name that is? Second Fly, like who came up with that?
Like who would want to use Second Financial? Just hit them over the head. Let me use my Second Fly
wallet. We need we need a new we need a new fly. Okay, we have D Fly. I have a feeling that the name
became Second Fly because of their partnership with Second Swap. Which is probably a platform.
There's just so many moving fucking little pieces in this shit. But I'm looking for to do
a second swap. Why wouldn't you just do it on the first swap? I mean, that's a shit name too.
Cardinal Card to Japan. I'm looking for this one wallet card. Is there still is there still
stuff being? Is anybody product testing on fucking name? And you know what I mean, bro?
There's so many little things that are just so cooked. People are not even product testing
the actual code and the wallet. Yo, hear this out. So this is part of the issue, right? So,
like Madriguera made a post that says. Do I have this right? Cardano's largest D rep moved
their wallet from open source to closed source, pushed, and probably on audited software
with no testnet support for devs to test off and onto users, if they wanted or not,
and immediately managed to get users' wallets drained. It looks like that happened,
and probably more. So, yes, I don't think the name was like considered more than the code.
Are they still draining, or or has it been has it stopped? I think it's still going. Um. Also,
another thing, yo. There's a lot of little moves that Emergo has made recently that have been just
like inwards pointing, not giving a damn. Because once upon a time, there was this thing called
the Cardano card that was being advertised and marketed, and all of these events.
Remember the little card that they had, like yeah, what's Cardano? Well,
that was rebranded to SecondFi card. There's no no Cardano shit no more. Yes, and there's
many partnerships to bring that card to like Japan. There's like a partnership with Slash.
There's all this other shit. So ultimately, the wallet went from public goods to open. Oh never!
I'm not even gonna keep. I'm gonna get my ass in trouble. No, no, this is like it's crazy.
That's how it works, right? So well, at first it's like, hey, let me bait you into supporting
this whole Cardano card thing, and then. We ask for money. You know that they received it, right?
Wirex was the proposal, and then through that Wirex proposal that just got granted,
it turns it all into their own private product that came from public funding, and none
and doesn't that I know of has any direct benefit to Cardano besides transactions and shit.
You know, network feed shits, and and it was like this whole dude. It's crazy.
Some people are playing the long run game to to just kind of like I'm not saying they are.
Let me speak in general. Before I get my myself into shit, you can start drawing the parallels.
By the hip, why is like you know? I love that shit, bro. I love that shit. All of a sudden,
where has Ken Kondama been until today? I just don't understand what's happening here, guys.
We just like, I mean, and and and going back to the whole Discord thing, right? So,
is this really happening still? Are we like going to like an Emergo Discord, uh,
or else everything gets voted no? No, let me let me add context here because Charles,
for the first time in fucking months, it seems like it's been done with with Weathermargo.
It's a it's a yeah I know that I know that. Let me add a little bit of the context that I was
able to get from from Charles from when he pulled up because I brought it up. I was like, yo, um,
you know, let's kind of clear the air on some of these things. One, you know,
one of the the major assumption. I'm gonna just kind of address the major assumptions that I got
his opinion on or his context on. One, it was that it's a Charles as a D rep, you know
unilateral decision making. Well, I mean, if I you can't have a party
and then a unilateral decision making, so. I'm going to lean towards, you know. He was like,
you know, it is not a unilateral decision. It will be the parties' decision making.
So I think people, you know, were being a little bit fundamentally disingenuous in there.
Nobody was being disingenuous. What do you mean? Am I gonna? People were definitely saying it
all the time. Are you gonna gaslight the community now on this? I am absolutely going to. Okay,
great. Well, no, no, no. Hey, I am telling you exactly what I heard. So if people on the timeline,
because I was taking in what people were saying on the timeline. And they were like, and again,
I'm not defending Charles by any means. I'm just telling you what he told me. Again,
take it for objectively, not like my bias or something. If there's going to be a party
that gathers in a specific place to, you know, make decisions together,
and then there's a party d rep that they all agree on, and then the decision is made,
you can speculate that Charles is going to have the biggest voice sway the vote,
and everybody's going to have to align with it. That's a speculation thing.
Why are you thinking that? This is not what was proposed. That was not what was said.
You're saying something that was not what was said. There was literally a tweet about it, Esco.
From not what was said. That that's what he told me in my space and it's recorded.
I'm talking about what was told to all of us and and multiple videos. That he's gonna open.
That he's gonna open a Discord. Okay, then I I guess what he told me I I. I'm missing something
here, because I'm just repeating what was said to me, and also that they're discord.
You're gaslighting the community and that we're being disingenuously like changing things,
and that's not really what happened. We had several videos where things were explained to us,
and how it was explained is that this Discord will be open, and yes, that we're going to be like
some you know community guidelines that we're going to come out of the community.
But he also talked about the party, and then he talked about his direct. He's direct, right?
So he talked about everybody coming to the Discord, not being the Discord wasn't the party.
It was a place for everybody to discuss. It was a kind of separate thing, right?
Because now does it mean that you have to join the party to be in the Discord?
That's definitely not what it was. And then he talked about. I didn't say that you had to. Okay. So
and then he talked about like how you how do you make sure that people come to the to the Discord?
Is you gotta like you know the teeth part, right? You have to make it like okay,
if you want if you want the party or you and the D rep, it almost it sounds like there's
separate things, right? He's got his D rep is only going to exist if there's a party. Right,
so that is going to be one of the one of the you know ways to get people to come
and participate is to say we will not vote unless you participate in the conversation, right?
Not to join the party or anything like that, right? Like it's just. I didn't say anything about.
But this is the Discord. I'm going to pull this up. I'm going to pull it up because it was
a recorded space, and then I'll I'll put together a thread once I re-listen to it
because I don't think I think either you know we're, yeah, I interpreted it as a d rep.
That would be is is a D rep that a whole party deliberates behind, and the vote goes through
that D rep, not unilaterally. Charles, this is my interpretation, right? Oh no,
that's a totally different interpretation. Here, well, can I finish saying it at least? I mean,
I feel like you've been saying it. What's different? Okay, we'll just leave it there.
I'm not gonna argue, and I'll I'll look it up and look at the the recording. Now I'm confused.
What he's been saying? I need someone to relay this for me. I mean, watch the Discord videos, man.
It's a pain in the ass, but if you watch it, you can talk clearly on it. I mean, it's wild.
A six part series. Why couldn't we have done it in a one part fucking video?
Because he's literally making it up as he goes, bro. He goes, he AI vibes it,
whiteboards the shit out of it, then he turns on the video and he's like, guys,
this is what's happening. And then the next day starts, and then he does it again. That's why.
And my question was like, this is like all this like working with Emergo,
which is what I was talking. I wasn't even talking about anything else. It's like.
I wonder if this is going to continue being that way. What what is going to happen with Emergo
and the kind of trust and why do we have to look up to Emergo? It's like you know,
like an entity that is working in the best interest of of Cardano. I don't think has ever been
the case. I don't think anybody here has really felt that that's been the case. But somehow,
you know, it kind of keeps getting paired out with Charles. And then if people want to support
Charles is doing, you also have to support Emergo. And it's like
because they're just working together all the time. It's like Just can you just separate
so people can just choose, you know? Like I don't know, just feel like it's like this tandem thing
needs to needs to end. Yeah, I'm glad that that tandem also ended with the CF
and Emergo because they were doing the same thing. I mean that summit proposal, right?
Had to get broken apart and stuff. So yeah, they tend to. Yeah, people can really show who
you're supporting, right? Not like you have to support both, just you know.
So people really start getting the message. I don't know. Just there's no trust in Emergo.
You keep pairing them up with the entities that people trust more,
then it just makes it feel like there's trust when there really isn't. So I don't know.
I'm not happy with what happened with this wallets, and I don't know what's gonna happen with
all these people. They lost their their funds and. It's just absolutely heartbreaking to see
this happening in our ecosystem at this stage, right? Absolutely ridiculous that we're dealing with
this right now. It's just not the right time, never the right time, but definitely not. Dude,
it just doesn't seem to stop. It doesn't seem to fucking stop. It's like every week there's
just some like holy shit, no, can't catch a break. And now that whole narrative, you know,
of Cardano being the safe You know, environment because of peer reviewed all the you know
formal verification all this other stuff. Now it's going to be put in question
and all this other shit. So, yep, it is not. People are going to paint it that way.
Like the stories are going to run wild, bro. Uh huh, a hundred percent. Well,
but we also love to do that, right? Every time somebody somebody has something like this
in their ecosystem, we're like, this doesn't happen in Cardano, and it's like on them, big time,
yeah. Oh, big time. So that's why we know that it's going to happen with us too,
because you know that's you get you get what you what you give, you know, you get what you get,
one hundred percent. Yeah, twenty twenty four million USD. That's a big hit in this ecosystem, man.
I mean, they're saying like the the numbers are like everywhere. I've seen those are numbers
I saw a while ago. So I've seen two hundred million. I've seen people that swear it's been closer
to two hundred million. So I don't even know. That's that like one hundred
and sixty million ADA is like what's that? If the exploit is still going on as of like the last hour
or something, or since they said that they put it on maintenance mode,
that has to mean that passphrases were exposed, because otherwise I saw I saw night
was getting drained too. Um, I think somebody said something along the lines of like if if pass keys
were exposed, then people have to be careful with the glacier drop. That is what I saw in
the timeline. I don't know about. I mean, night is a CNT, so of course it'll be liquidated.
And those who need a new wallet might not be able to like claim the rest of the stuff, right?
Because that you have to claim. There you go. Oh my god. Yeah, the problem is,
and and since night is a CNT. And and and it's not just ADA that's being you know drained.
It's just all CNTs, and they're instantly being liquidated. So it's ultimately a bank run on just
about everything. And and it seems like I'm. If I had to bet, I'd put my bet
that you know in that migration to make to retain their delegation and you know to their D rep
and all that type of stuff. They made a compromise on how that migration happened from Erooi
to their new infra, blah blah blah, second fire, whole thing. And in that process. Somebody,
you know, whether you know, was an honest mistake or or somebody intentionally, whatever, you know,
got all this, got access to all these wallets. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's an employee
because again, pass phrases are not supposed to leave users' devices. If you put them
on your private servers, you literally expose it to all your employees who may have access
to that private server or your partners. Because something that's very popular now is
this whole like third party auth thing. You know what I mean? There's a wallet called.
Dynamic that provides this. There is Web3 art. There is with the third-party art escort.
Those art should just provide and half of it encryption. And half they shouldn't.
They they shouldn't even be doing half of it. That is bad. All those art should be doing
is replacing your your password that wallets make you create. The key still stays on your device.
The same way you need to type in a password. That's not really your key.
They should just be replacing that step to be able to decrypt the key that's on your device
the entire time. If keys are leaving your device, that's not crypto. That's not blockchain. Yeah.
How do you think this migration though? So, I never. Well, I didn't use Nami when the the transition
from Nami to Lace happened, and I didn't transfer any wallets. I just literally, you know,
created a new one elsewhere, and then I just sent my shit to it rather than like, like recover it
or whatever. But does anybody here have experience with how the Nami migration was executed?
Oh my god, horrible! Did you have to? Did you have to hand input it? I have to, yeah.
I actually had to. Okay. No. Well, that makes sense. There's no automatic. Okay.
All that was client side is the most important thing. Was client side with literally two extensions
in your browser. Talking to each other, no servers. Right, but what I'm asking Lido is
that if you had to input your seed phrase or whatever, you know that would be the only point
of exposure, right? Because if you have to do it by hand, it's like a regular wallet recovery.
You know, recover this wallet, put your 24 keys. I mean, your 24 words, blah blah. Cool,
it's manually done. That happens all the time. But during this automatic migration from your RoID
to whatever, that's where I'm like, okay, that would make sense because if you didn't have to do it
by hand, then something had to do it for you. Which means they have to literally send all those keys
to some central place. Exactly. That's why I'm trying to get. Which is a big no-no. Big no-no.
Sending keys to some central place, like totally breaks the promise and the contract.
And then to close source it is crazy. Is this is this the biggest exploit in the ecosystem so far?
Seems like it's going to end up being because the the nomad hack from the bridge back in the day
was already less than than what's been lost to this situation. Wow, and that was a long time ago.
Shit, it's like crazy. By the way, if you guys are wondering if Atrium and Diffusion
is not still building, there is the little the last development update. Latest development update.
What is this date? This is May twenty nine, so that's like last month.
There is a governance proposal with what do they call? What are these? What is this? Clarity DAO,
Builder DAO, Builder DAO. There is a Diffusion Builder DAO proposal. So. All those who say,
including myself. Well, hold on. Can you hold on? I'm lost. What are you saying? I, dude,
I highly doubt that Pay would ever give them the platform. So I'm confused.
Can we clarify some things here? He had an insanely bad experience with them. He has.
He's salty as fuck with them. Well, any chance to get money though? There was a new vote
on May 29th, or starting May 29th, or around May 29th. See. For what? For what?
Builder died around three. What you gonna ask for money? Ask for money. Not handing over. No, no,
no, no, no. Hold on. Round three. So BuilderDAO only had two rounds of funding. Okay, round two,
round two, round two, round two started last month, right? And round two start it was
it was finished like last month sometime, but it didn't start then. It started last month,
wasn't it? It started last month. Yeah, it started last month. So what are you trying to?
So what are you trying to get to? If I just in case I have information.
I'm just trying to say I'm bringing this to the top. Builder, I'm just trying to say the fusion
is still building. They're not going anywhere. Diffusion, as in like the contract.
F Y I. The the the as in Atrium. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. The okay,
the Diffusion contract was open sourced anyways. The whole platform is still building,
so I'm just trying to add a balance to our previous conversation. That big pay was ending. It's not.
Atrium lives, and is asking for money from Builder DAO to keep going. That doesn't make sense
because they can't be asking for money right now when the two funds that Builder Dow were granted
to give money out were closed like a while ago, and Big Pay did not get money on the second round.
So I think the second round was last month. It's closed already. Yes. So do they have?
They didn't get money either. It was a big ordeal. They didn't get shit.
Not closed in like delivery. Yeah, but you can't apply for it anymore. Like you already,
people already voted on it. Okay, I don't. I'm confused, but. He had a whole ordeal
with Builder Dow, and I'm not going to repeat it because it will he be here for fucking
half an hour. But he's not happy with Builder Dow because of how the second round went,
and I find it it doesn't really add up to me that they're asking for money when I already know for
a fact they were not granted on the second and last round that they had to ask from.
So there's some sort of discrepancy there, but who cares? And I don't think that builder that would.
So do they have three rounds or two rounds? Two rounds. They only had two rounds. Yes,
and then they tried to get treasury funding again, twenty-three million ADA, um, for
this coming year, and they were not granted that money. So in reality, either Clarity reproposes
or something, or it's not going to be funded for this year because they were already denied
that money, the twenty-three million that they came back for. But where are you getting this info,
Vito? From I'm trying to understand. It's been to the top from the from the Atrium Discord.
Let me see. I mean, clarity can be like, "Hey, we're going to take over
this whole bass diffusion thing because it's open source." But Atrium getting money.
This is diffusion governance. This is so. And then at the end of May, yeah, this is confusing, Lido.
This might be old news. Moving on. Oh, so second part. So might be onions. So so, okay.
So read between the lines here. It says diffusion holders have until the end of the week to cast
their votes on the diffusion delegation strategy governance proposal. You see the thing there,
because remember that the diffusion basket situation is like a whole bunch of people delegating to
the smart contract that then holds the bag, and then that smart contract delegates
to all these other other pools. So, diffusion delegation strategy governance proposal. So it's like,
hey, if you hold diffusion, you're probably gonna have to vote where that delegation goes to,
or or whatever. I have this feeling because of the functionality of this whole diffusion token shit
and blah blah blah. So Charles made a post about the second phi situation. I don't know, light
if you can pin it up at the top since I can't pin things at the top. Let's see what he said.
I just really, really hope to see like. Some separation of things. I'm,
I'm so done with like Emergo. Not gonna lie, I'm just so done. I don't know what he's gonna,
he's saying in there, but. So are people are people still being drained after they announced
that like they put it in secure maintenance mode? I've heard things, but at the end of the day,
Sanka have no clue. I know that I, I do know that funds are still being moved around. Um,
there's some people tracking the wallets of the people, uh, like the wallets that stole funds,
and they're still. Moving those funds around, and I don't know. There's just a lot of people
tracking different things. We're gonna be hearing more the next upcoming days, I guess.
I'm just so upset over this. I really am. I'm just like, I don't know. Just so not what we needed.
Absolutely not. Just no, it's the worst. Lido, I just sent to the diffusion. A lot of people got
red text message. I mean, on a DM to the cup. Yeah. Let me find this Charles thing. You know,
I just we just need to go back to basics, people. You know. Don't move fast
and break things should be one of the things that we you know we're proud of. I don't know.
There's just a lot of things. We're just moving into closed doors, moving fast, breaking things,
centralized bullshit. I don't know, guys. We just need to take a breather
and like figure out what it is that we want to do in the next five to ten years, and if we.
You know, if we're just gonna let the ocean drift us into wherever, then fine, I'm not in for that.
But I, you know, we we we gotta we gotta move in the direction in a mindful way.
We have to be mindful about the next steps and the decisions that we make moving forward.
And and otherwise, we're just, you know, we're never gonna we we won't even have a chance
of reaching what we say we're we're going after. We just won't have a chance. You know,
nothing is guaranteed in this life. But if you at least Head and look and focus on the direction
you want to go. You have a fucking chance. And I just feel like we're not even doing that.
So I don't know. I'm not trying to be like negative or anything. I'm just this is a collection.
I don't know. We just seriously. I'm interested to see how the major news stations react to this
and report. Oh, they're gonna slander this shit up because Cardano, Cardano, Cardano,
and like Charles specifically has had like a lot of press the last month,
like from major news stations. You know, like everywhere you go. And so I don't know.
I feel like Ada's on a lot of people's radar right now. So I guarantee this.
This is gonna get spin up and and get a lot of views. It's gonna be actually pretty negative. Mhm.
Lido, what do you have to say about that? What? I was actually I was looking for
the second fight thing. Sorry, I missed it. I couldn't even find it. Oh, the Charles talks.
It's the second fight. Easy, an hour ago. It's like the top thing. There's a copy of it
in our comments. Somebody else posted it. Oh, okay. Oh, great, great, great.
Don't pin that to the top. Okay. I missed what was just said. What was just said? Oh no. Hell no.
Lido, sing for us. Not gonna make us repeat all that, Lido. I'm not repeating all that.
You know she is bad when Ben shows up. Hello, man. What's up, man? Yeah, man. And again, you know,
this is Cardano gonna stay together, united, and help people that are going through this situation.
But I mean, I don't know, guys. Again, I'm gonna repeat this.
Cardano over coffee is not going to refer to businesses as projects anymore. I know that I only have
two more weeks here, but I'm gonna continue to participate in Cardano over coffee,
and I'm going to destroy any host and co-host that called things. Because one
of the biggest problems that we have, as we continue to call businesses projects, we fund them,
we trust them, and it's bullshit. No more projects, guys. Hiya, sir. Hiya. Trasante. Oh, call me,
guys. Yeah. Gabita. I'm not muted. Oh, oh yes, yes. Wait, Chad. Do we already talk about
the Jenny thing? Do we know what you're doing? Are you are you going to AI?
Are you going to be doing Web three stuff still? Is is is there an announcement of an announcement
coming for what you're doing next? Maybe, yeah. But for now, it's just about getting you guys
some just little ducks in a row, making sure that. You guys don't, you know,
call things projects anymore, okay, Lido? No more projects. Nobody here runs a project.
We run businesses. We're serious. We run businesses. That's amazing. Yeah. Actually,
I can't wait to announce that thing I said in the group chat. I can't wait to announce
that publicly. Launching a new business is going to be awesome. I fully expect you to use it, um,
as go. So when it comes out, make sure you download the app. Download the app.
Announcement of an announcement. What did Charles say? You guys, you guys never pinned it. Oh,
I pinned it. I just did. Maybe it's taking a minute to show up. Let me try again. What's up,
noodles? Yes. Yo, what's going on, Cardano? Happy. I don't even know what day of the week it is.
It's like Tuesday here. Tuesday night. Happy second FyHag day. Let's go! Let's go! Happy,
happy plant porn day! Happy drama day! I just came on the timeline and everybody's going crazy.
What what happened on this chain? What's going down right now? Everybody's going nuts. It's wild.
I just want to send all my love to everybody in Cardano. Big up from Vietnam,
hanging out here late night on a Tuesday. Yo, I got a friend there. You need a friend there.
I have like way too many friends. Okay, good. Way too much stuff to do. Yeah, yeah. It's good.
It's good man. Our friend Get Lost lives there. If you know him, Get Lost lives there. Uh, I know,
I know Get Lost. Where where's Get Lost? Besides, I got Ho Chi Minh. Ho Chi Minh, I think.
Ho Chi Minh. Yeah, if I remember correct, I was talking to him like two days ago.
I'm I'm deep I'm deep in the countryside, my brother. I'm deep I'm far away from the big cities,
hanging out right now in the in the crazy backwoods of Vietnam, and sending my love to everybody,
hoping everybody's doing well and everybody takes care of each other, has nothing but love.
And you know, cheers, cheers for you. I got a a drink I can toast you, and I will do so right now.
And wishing you all the best. Have some great food. The food here is incredible,
and the weather is fucking scorching hot. But the people are amazing, the culture is great,
and the vibes are immaculate. So I'm sending that sentiment from myself to all of you on this fine,
fine morning on Cardano over coffee, my friends. I swear, Nudes has like the best voice
for this shit. He does, and the attitude, all of it. Nudes, question for you. Um,
what's going on with this crazy life? He's just kind of lost it out there. He even lost his account.
He's like tweeting every five seconds. I yeah, I haven't I haven't kept up with Twitter in
the last few days. But I mean, I've seen I saw I saw his account got suspended.
I know he was tweeting like because he made like uh his like um platform,
and you know I he is always a very uh strongly opinionated person, um in terms of like the potential
of Cardano and all this stuff, and. I I don't know. I assume that he was probably tweeting a bunch
of times. I know he's in Romania this summer. Him and his wife went there, where her family's from,
and I assume that you know maybe hit the little tweet button a few too many times,
and the algorithm bots did not approve of this type of platform activity, and has since has
since lost the account, but still building from what I've seen, still grooving, still moving,
still cooking in the kitchen, which is fun to see. So I don't know the latest and greatest from him
because literally. I I check Twitter I I check Twitter like randomly on the back of a motorbike
when I'm driving to a village or something like that like it I don't have time you know it's it's
it's crazy I'm just just driving on the back of a motorbike check the timeline real quick. I mean,
yeah. I mean, hey, Esco, in the past, you hold the yo in the past, you hold the yeah, bro.
Where your hands at, bro? That's what I'm wondering. It depends. If I'm driving with my girl,
then you know it's gonna get it's gonna get a little spicy in the kitchen.
But if I'm driving with a friend, you know, maybe we can get spicy. Maybe we'll keep it normal,
keep it low key. You know what I'm saying? In the past, though, I would drive myself,
but the laws here are still the same laws, but the enforcement of them has become
a little more strict. So I'm not gonna I'm not gonna push the limits myself
and pretend that I drive a fucking motorbike. Here in Vietnam, so I'm gonna keep it low key.
You know what I mean? Don't wanna, don't wanna push too many buttons. Want to keep it chill
and have a great time. So, hands on hips if you got somebody close to you.
Hands on the other places if you're just chilling with the homies. You know what I'm saying?
There you go, Nance. Then you're gonna bring me something from Vietnam, a little dried flower.
Did you talk to Sal? Yo, I contacted. If anyone has contacted Sal, Sal Art NFT artist from Vietnam,
I would love to meet Sal. She's based in Ho Chi Minh City, and I wrote to her before I came here
and. Did not hear back, unfortunately. But I know that there's like a huge group
and community of people in Ho Chi Minh City. So I'm my schedule is it's all over the place.
Like I've been doing presentations at a few universities and stuff. I did
an international conference last week, and then I'm going to another place in Da Trang next week
to give more presentations at some different universities. I'm fucking packed to the gills in terms
of obligations. What are you presenting? Many things, many things. I did a my presentation at
Van Lang University was about digital and visual approaches to traditional heritage preservation,
and then I did an international conference that was the 25 year anniversary of anthropology
in Vietnam, where I presented about folk music heritage. Among ethnic minority students who live in
the city and basically, you know, kind of fucking leave the countryside for economic opportunities,
but also to have new opportunities in an urban environment to to keep the old school culture,
kind of shit, you know, old school, kick it, kick it, old school with some with some grandmoms.
And next, I'm talking about some more anthropology shit with the study of culture
and traditional heritage preservation. So there's there's a lot going on, my man. It never stops.
Never stops on this end, and it's it's great. It's great. But if anybody has contact
with other Cardano friends in Vietnam, would absolutely love to hang with them. I know,
Cooktime was here in Vietnam with the whole. The hell is the name? Masamuni, Macamuni, something.
Patrick's Patrick's AI platform. Their whole team was here in Vietnam for like a month doing like
a hacker house in Da Nang, and I'm in a different part of the country,
so I I didn't get to meet them, which I'm very sad about. But if anybody knows what's cooking in
Vietnam for Cardano, I would love to hang with any and all people. That's a show.
I think the guy from Platypus is out there. Let's go. There's, I mean, there's a lot of people.
That is so much cab. This is the shit that Sanka does. He's lying. He don't even know
where Eddie's at, bro. But he likes to throw the goddamn smoke on it. Sanka doesn't even know
where Vietnam. He don't even know where the hell Vietnam is. Exactly, dude. Like this ain't for.
He's like, yo, is that for Portugal? Is that for Portugal, right? I heard you're on the motorbike,
but are they still over there rocking the seatless unicycles in Vietnam? Yo, we got unicycles.
It's crazy. It's crazy. Yo, and I want to say, I want to say this real quick.
The only crypto experience I did have here. Is I haven't been to Vietnam since before COVID,
so it's been it's been a minute. It's been like seven fucking years I haven't been here.
The biggest change that has happened in this country is everything is QR code payment now.
Like everybody's bank account is hooked up to their fucking phone, and mobile payments are
the number one thing. But if you're a foreigner and you come here, you can't really participate.
You're like fucking just out of the box unless you get a Vietnamese bank account.
But there is an app called Local Pay, and it runs on Solana, and it's basically you send USDC
and fund your account Solana, and you could fucking you could pay for fucking Granny's mangoes
on the side of the highway in the fucking mountains. With this fucking Solana USDC,
literally they don't got tap to pay, bro. Wait, so what you're telling me is that Cardano card
is not taken in Vietnam, and now it's gonna be second five? Yo, I I just so I don't know
the whole second five story. I literally just came on the timeline like an hour ago,
and I looked at it. I was like, oh boy, here we go, it's cooking. But I I can genuinely say
that I so I. Found out about this app. I found on Instagram some real like my whole Instagram feed
is like all these fucking foreigners like here's your greatest tips for Vietnam or whatever,
and and the it's called Local Pay the Local Pay app, and I saw it. I was like, oh my god,
I gotta fucking try this like a crypto app I can use. I fucking sold ADA, fucking on Kraken.
I bought USDC on Solana, funded my shit for it, and I fucking bought coffee at a store. I was like,
"Yo, this is straight up the most meaningful crypto experience I've ever had in my life
because banking in this part of the world is crazy." And I didn't have to ask permission
from fucking anybody, dude. I just fucking loaded my shit up. I bought my coffee,
got my mangoes from grandma, and I'm ready to go. And I'm like, "Holy fucking shit, dude!
" I wish that this was a Cardano wallet. Like I wish, dude. I wish, but it wasβit was genuinely
mind-blowing for me. Like I can't even express how deeply profound it was,
given the life experiences I've had in crypto and this basic utility of ease
that I could fucking make payments for anything in a way that wasn't controversial
or cumbersome whatsoever. Very fluid. It could have been a Cardano wallet, knows.
But you didn't get funded in Catalyst. I could have. I went to a fucking Lotus Farm the other day,
my best friend's house here. I had a Catalyst proposal to fucking put all this shit on chain,
but you know, hey, it's all good. Hey, I'm not here to be salty about that. I don't give a shit.
I just am so happy to enjoy the Cardano over coffee conversation from abroad. And again,
wishing everybody all of the best on this very very fine day. Happy Tuesday to everybody out there,
especially Lido in the coffee cup, hosting it and toasting it up the most. Love to see it.
Lidocabisa, what's up, Dambazco? Hi guys, Jam Jam, been a minute. Apple Nuts, I think. Um,
I don't know if you know Yaya, but she does stuff for the university, especially around Cardinal
and stuff. Right now, I think she's doing things on AI, but maybe you can reach out
and see if you guys guys can connect. Yo, hell yeah, man! I'm definitely gonna reach out.
I know there's there's a whole um Vietnamese Cardinal community that were, you know,
previously very active in Catalyst, and then that ended, and then you don't hear too much from.
Some people sometimes, but you know that's the way the cookie crumbles, and around the world,
and that's fine. Hey, I mean that's just straight up what it is. Cattle's is gone.
I've heard too much. People, I'm just saying. You need any starch while you're over there?
Hit me up, bro. I got you. Yo, let's go, dude. Let's get. Yo, I'm I'm literally staring at
a night market right now, and the amount of things that I could buy with starch pay are fucking.
Immeasurable in terms of how great it would be. I would buy a fucking new belt, a new tie,
a couple colognes. You know what I mean? Maybe a few beers to go. Maybe a bowl of fub.
We can get it going. We can keep it rocking and popping, Balake, because that's how we do in
the starch community and in the Cardonal Sooners Club. Where you, King, over here?
Anything you want. Let's go, man. Your big ups, Balake. Love you, brother. Let's go. Well,
callers may have ended, but the Bloodstream Center, Nairobi, Kenya, is still live.
We have our next trivia sent. Our next trivia event. Hold on! You're literally doing trivia events.
Oh, I swear to fucking God, you can't gather at your local park on the benches and play trivia.
You have to create a whole center, get countless funding, host your own infrastructure to avoid
four hundred dollar bills off the damn balance sheet. All these. Oh my God! And you know what?
Let's go! I'm going. I'm going to fucking Africa, bro. I'm fucking. You better shoot curry.
We have trivia. We have karaoke. We have. Listen to that! How the hell does I anything? Last
last Friday we were writing code from 6 p.m. To 6 a.m. It was beautiful.
We have a midnight event coming up. We are not playing around here. Okay, okay, okay.
So it's up at the top, and it's uh, you teamed up with the Avax team, and it's gonna be a trivia
to test night of crypto knowledge. So it is still keeping that trip though. Just saying. And
Project Catalyst is coming soon, so you won't run out of money, Lighter.
I'm sure you'll get another proposal passed on this one that's coming soon. Perfect timing.
And then we'll keep our trivia and bingo center in Nairobi cooking, you know, all day. It's fun.
We have to stay cooking. You know, we just postponed our trip. Our our Cardano camping trip
for a month because the price of it, I have tank ass. That's what we're paying for camping trip. Oh,
a hundred percent. He's out there doing safaris and shit. These guys were about to leave me out
of the trip. Not safari again. This is this is sleeping in the sand, sleeping out in the open,
in the open skies, talking blockchain, talking Cardano, talking what to save wallets. I mean,
real life. Lydo, did you smack? I mean, hit the last catalyst before it shut down? Of course he did.
He got he got to build a platform that was like Tinder, swipe, swipe. This man, you, this man knows
how to get the bag, bro. And I ain't even. That works, by the way. That works.
That's why I troll him because I troll Lydo because he's really good at getting money.
What are you talking about? What better real shit? You know, you know. Um, last time I checked,
I built this. I built this thing recently that tracks all of our catalyst proposal.
All of our payouts, all of the developers we've onboarded, and like made them build
real Godano shit. We've had forty-one people come through the thanks to Catalyst,
and we've paid out thirty-two million Kenyan shillings. I don't know what that translate to
to your local currency. Seventeen hundred dollars. What is that, bro? Yeah,
a couple million Vietnamese dollars. Sounds like a cryptocurrency. Let's see.
That is about two hundred and fifty U.S. Dollars. Even worse, two hundred fifty dollars. What the?
You almost have me choking on this goddamn note. Two hundred fifty thousand US dollars
over two years, by the way. Two hundred thousand two years, okay. Twenty-one people.
We have like three very usable Kodano resources that people still use. We still get about twenty,
twenty, twenty-one thousand catalyst visits every thirty days. Sixty ninety-four.
We're iterating on. Still super useful. So what Birdie Real shared? Okay, yes, we're singing karaoke
and we're playing trivia, blah blah blah. We're actually contributing.
About ten ten-ish people have contributed to intersect resources, and those merch requests
have been merged. Who writes the trivia questions? So we are impact. We are impact. Is it you, Lydo?
Wait, Lydo, are you the one writing the trivia questions? I write the trivia. Yes,
I write the trivia. I write the trivia questions. No, it's been amazing. I'm,
I'm liking what we're doing here in Kenya. Uh, 41 Cardano devs, guys. 41 Cardano devs.
Some of them actually work for projects in the space right now. So you're welcome. You're welcome.
Hit one of them. No, but we're mostly in Kenya. We we we had we had about six Nigerian cohort
from the university there that did an internship. Do you know Kit or Kit Willo? I know Kit.
Kit was here in Kenya. We have a photo together. We have we have a few photo ups. Um.
I know I met the guy, but we've we've we've had. Don, do you know him?
I know him from coming to Kenya and constitutional convention and just being in his face.
I don't know him personally, but just as a someone who's tried to intersect and got. Frustrated
and when I don't know where he is these days, but yeah, I not care. He's a he's a he's
a good African shaggy. But now that I think about it, oh my gosh! I know
intersection frustrates everybody. So yes, there's trivia, there's open source contribution, there's
real products on mainnet. That team, by the way, built the Ada Link after they had some issues
with their previous developer. We came on board, took on the project, delivered the Ada Link,
Cordano decentralized marketing platform that's live now and on mainnet. So we're going,
we're going strong. We're going strong, even with the bear market. We're going very strong.
We have a new, very silly product that's coming out soon, that you guys are going to probably have
a lot of shit to talk about. But we're gonna tweet it by the way. This live.
What's the bottom that Ava can hit for you to still operate? I'm coming at the web two, dude.
We've got some AI contracts that we're building now, some web two stuff. So we're good.
It's it's tough. We've had to miss some payrolls, but we're working. We're working,
and we're trying to get back to. Sustainability. We're not closing shop. We're not closing shop.
So we don't have a bottom. We'll keep going. What's up, nudes? Yo, Lino.
I just want to let you know that my newest proposal is the Trivia Night
aggregator that people can log on on their wallet and find the nearest trivia night. I'm dead.
In a decentralized way, decentralized trivia. Yeah, make sure that it has a random number generator
from on chain too. Yeah, yeah, random random number generator on chain, random answers,
random prizes. We get everybody who participates. I'm still waiting for coronos for Orbird coronos
for random generator. The first trivia, the first trivia question is, where's my Ada at night? Oh,
dude, yes, tomorrow. It'll come tomorrow. It'll come tomorrow, because the answer is gonna
randomly always generate the same fucking response. Like, it's coming, it's coming. But yo, Lado,
I have a real question about about Kenya, because I was when you were talking, I was like,
are there fucking Vietnamese people in Kenya? And I was looking it up,
and apparently there's only like a few hundred Vietnamese people in Kenya, but. Apparently,
it says according to Google's AI response. Despite the small community size,
Vietnamese cuisine has become well established in Nairobi's vibrant food scene.
With popular establishments like Momom Viet Kitchen and Bar acting as cultural hubs,
have you ever come across Vietnamese food? I just found a place to get pho.
I just found a place to get pho. I'm going there this Sunday to try it out because that's something
I've been looking for since I've been in Kenya, and I now have a spot.
I'll let you know if it's good. Yo, you better post some pictures of your news, or it didn't happen,
brother. There was some news. Holy shit! Vietnamese economy in Minnesota. For some reason,
I don't know why, but there was lots of Vietnamese. There was even a little strip of like
all Vietnamese cuisine restaurant. Yo, Lido, I've never asked you this, but I will.
You said Minnesota, right? Did you happen to run a learing center there before you left? No, no,
but I do want to open one there if I can get this thing in Nairobi to work. When I go to the US,
because this instructor to be a franchise. Trying to troll you over the the daycare thing.
I thought I thought I heard a little custodian in you. Okay, but I had I had this beautiful spot.
I used to I had my co working space at in a little desk I paid for. It used to be a grain exchange,
and now it's been turned into like co working and like just all the grain exchange stuff
is still there. I am. Lydo was in the center of the leering centers in Minnesota. So.
I am sorting out the turn that into a blockchain center. It will be a fact. I said,
"But he meant on chains." What's that? Is your yellow blanket there? I thought I heard
a Minnesotian accent when he talks a little bit. I know. I spent too much time in Kenya.
Let's hear from Cheyan. It's funny that Lydo likes to build centers, and he was in Minnesota prior
to migrating back to. I'm just saying. I'm a dog connector, and this ain't. Good morning, everyone.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to come into the space, but wow, I missed Durham. I'm so sorry about that.
I think he left the space, and I was actually going to make some comments specifically regarding to
his initiatives. When when you're considering proposals, I think it's also important to take into
account the broader picture of the ecosystem as a whole, and how an initiative
like his can translate to amplifying and scaling businesses across the ecosystem. For example,
I am in the process of launching a fashion line that is exclusively sustainable fabrics.
And as a result of that, I need to acquire certifications such as
GOTS Global Organic Textile Standard, and they're very stringent in their requirements for
for proving the sources of where you're sourcing your textiles globally.
And an initiative like Yoram's could really complement my initiative, my business specifically,
and I'm sure many others in the space. But it's not just. You know what he's working on right now,
or the or the the clients that he has right now. It's people like me who would need his assistance
in, um, in having something that's um verifiably traceable through blockchain
and through Cardano that would be invaluable. So when we're looking at proposals like this,
hit up CF for the the people that do the the that track the fruit. The track.
I'm not very familiar about their initiative tracking the fruit, but I'm just saying that I can see
how his, how Yoram's initiative can directly assist me in my endeavors.
Because in the in the textile industry, obtaining certifications are can be quite difficult
if you don't have a viable traceability. And blockchain is a great solution for that.
And what Yoram is doing would be great for me personally. So I just wanted to share that. Thank you,
Haya. That is beautiful. That is beautiful. I definitely am waiting for this tech.
Besides the silly app, we're working on another app. It's going to be great.
It needs traceability integration. I'm not going to spin about our infrastructure,
but I would love to have APIs to build really cool consumer products, really cool dashboards.
That's what we do. What's up, Noot? What dashboards are you working on in the old state of Vietnam?
I'm working on fucking dashboards going to sleep. I raised my hand. I just wanted to mention about
Minnesota. So the Vietnamese population in Minnesota that lives there is numerous,
and is a result of the resettlement programs following the American War in Vietnam after 1975.
Was one of the I think it's like the after California probably the second most populous area in
the United States, specifically for the Hmong ethnic minority who have a very different culture,
language, and traditions relative to the larger Vietnamese population. And the resettlement program,
like Minnesota, was just like a fucking backwater or whatever in the 1970s,
and so it became a hot spot for people from Southeast Asia, basically. And Jenny,
I think you're probably the only person who would take this to heart and. Consider it,
but one of the best books in anthropology I've ever read is about Minnesota.
It's called "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down," and it's this beautiful,
amazing story about. I mean, it's it's kind of sad too, but about this Hmong girl who has epilepsy,
and in their cultural tradition, that it's basically like a godsend that you have like a Almost
like a spiritual prowess, like if you have epileptic seizures, basically, and this story, in book,
is a nonfiction account of a girl who has this condition in Minnesota,
and it's the story of a Mong family, this ethnic minority, and her American doctors,
and like the kind of cross cultural intersections in the context of like. You know,
fucking the medical scene and how crazy can be when the doctors recommend one thing,
but then they go home and they do like some very different tradition or ritual thing. So,
totally check it out if you're ever interested. It's called The Spear Catches You
and You Fall Down by Ann Sadam. One of the best books I've ever read, and is phenomenal.
But just wanted to give a shout out to Minnesota and a little context for why there is a large
Southeast Asian population there, my friends. Damn, that's so interesting. Check it out.
You know what? Something funny. The do cabeça. Venezuelans, when people ask.
When they ask us here in the United States, "Where are you from?" And we say Venezuela,
most people understand Minnesota. It's a thing that we have to deal with on a daily basis.
It's like daily basis. Venezuela, I'm dealing with that. Why? Because it sounds similar,
or is there a history there? No, it just sounds like to people. I think that people from
the United Statesβthey're just when they ask, "Where are you from?" They're expecting a state.
They're not thinking globally. So I think they're justβit's like a shortcut. So
when you say Venezuela, they just associate the the closest, most closest-sounding state
as Minnesota. So they just like, oh, Minnesota, and they just start going off. Oh, I love Minnesota.
It's like I said Venezuela, but it's like it'sβit's a thing. We have so many jokes about it
because if you're Venezuelan and it that that just happens to you, like. So many times,
like in your lifetime, it's just like something you have to deal with forever.
Like people will always hear Minnesota. Like, oh, funny. As somebody who's interested
in language variation and fucking sociolinguistics, that is very fascinating to me.
I'm curious to know, Jenny, where is the largest Venezuelan population in the United States?
Is there like one cultural hub for people in the states? Orlando, right? No, I will say. I mean,
you have a lot of people in Miami. Actually, Minnesota has a lot of Venezuelans too.
You're gonna always find a lot of immigrants in places where they're friendly to them, right?
Minnesota is always like very friendly, you know, kind of sanctuary cities, right? Miami was one,
and and a bunch of different ones like that. But we're spread out, dude. We have people,
a lot of people in Texas. You see, North Carolina. Also, we have a huge community here.
Minnesota has a big community. Yeah, Miami, anything Florida, but particularly Miami, Orlando. Yeah,
Boston. Also, we have a lot of back in the days when things were different. You know,
Venezuela is like really high on on education, so everybody gets like everybody goes to to college.
Everybody goes to university. Like it doesn't matter. Like you know, if you're the poorest person,
everybody. It's like really, really big into education. So everybody has like masters and doctorates
and all kinds of stuff. And Boston used to be like a big place for people to go and get like.
Either go to college there or get a master's there. So we have a big community in Boston as well.
So yeah, we're spread out, man, all over the world. So. Yo, hell yeah!
Big ups to the Venezuelan communities, fucking around the world. That's like one place in the world
that I have never traveled to. I've never been in South America, and I deeply,
deeply want to go there. We got to go there together. I got. We got to find a. Let's go! Yeah.
Let's go! We'll submit. We're we're submitting a treasury withdrawal. We just deposited
a hundred thousand ADA, and we're gonna have the Cardinal Summit. Venezuela edition,
and everybody's invited. We're gonna have trivia night hosted by Lido.
He's gonna have the craziest trivia questions you've ever heard in your life. We're gonna have
fucking swag for people: tote bags, t-shirts, water bottles, you name it.
It will be coming your way. Let's go, let's go. But I love it, yo, Jenny. I, I mean, dude. I mean,
obviously, I could talk to you fucking forever about everything. But North Carolina
is really interesting that you mentioned. There's there's a big Vietnamese population there as well,
particularly among the Catholics from Vietnam, who a lot of them left in 1975 after
the American War, and North Carolina has kind of become like a regional hub for a lot
of ethnic minorities who are Catholic, and basically had to kind of flee the country.
At that time period, and it's just that's such a fascinating state to me because it's you know from
the northeast where I'm from at least you think of North Carolina is like that's
when it starts to become hick or whatever but it's like it's way more diverse than that
and it's got a lot going on so it's cool for you to mention that and kind of like where the north
and the south really meet and like kind of like it's like
not really south not really north it's like this it's kind of south but it's just
and I don't know it's like hard to pinpoint it's not once you go south it's more like the south
but North Carolina definitely has that. Kind of like I don't know, just constantly like not
it doesn't really lean one side or the other. If you look at like everything politically speaking,
or like even religion, there's a lot of like pockets of all kinds of religions.
We have a we have a Korean Baptist church right around the corner here.
It's all like everybody's like, what? This is a small town, and it's like we have a huge, um,
like Korean population here, which is like, yeah, I don't know, a lot of our hot dogs
and and burger stands that that they've been here since like. Early like 1920s and 30s,
they're all like Greek. So we have a lot of. It's a it's an interesting place.
It definitely brought a lot of people from a lot of different places and religion.
It was like one of the. It was a safe ground for religion identity back in the days. But yeah,
then you have all this civil war stuff, and yeah, I don't know. It's an interesting state for sure.
Yo, hell yeah, I love it. I I love it, and the religion the religion element of it obviously is
very interesting. You know, particularly on Catholics, I think like it's a it's a it's almost
like a hotbed, specifically for like Asian communities because you know each country
is going to have their own different religious political history from Asia, for example,
and then Catholics like maybe feel oppressed or whatever, and then and then go to places in in in
North Carolina is is is is the welcoming spot for for so many people, so. I fucking love it, Jenny.
Your perspective is amazing as always. I know Lido right now is just taking notes
for the next Trivian night, and he's gonna ask about all of the different Catholic minorities
that live in North Carolina, and he's gonna think about how they can mint their own Lido NFT
and join in on the next Catalyst round coming soon to a blockchain near you. That is, you know,
our last random category at Trivia was all about pizza and some of those Canadian
and Italian pizzas. Origins and stories. So yes, this is definitely a good random category
to throw people. Of next time there is a big, uh, delegation of U.S. People at the trivia,
I will definitely throw out this category, noobs. Definitely. All right, Mr. Trivia,
what do you what do you know about Connecticut pizza? Do you know about Connecticut pizza at all?
I know nothing about Connecticut pizza. Those questions about Italian pizza, Canadian pizza,
New York pizza, Chicago deep dish pizza. We can't forget Chicago in there. Their deep is amazing.
People from the East Coast don't even consider that. That's fucking. That's fucking lasagna.
That's not even pizza. You know what we call pizza here? We call it fucking pizza.
They call it fucking deep dish. Deep dish. You got your whatever you call it. We call pizza.
It's just pizza. Straight up. Oh, but that is Charles' favorite pizza. I could be in your.
There's a huge ideology. So Connecticut in the last like five years. Has become, I think, largely
because of barstool sports, barstool fucking sports with Dave Fortnight. He loves New Haven pizza,
and we we call it a pizza, or we call it a beets. Okay, and it's like this whole coal-fired,
wood-fired fucking thing, charred pizza, and it became a thing to the point that. Connecticut,
as a state in the United States, is rebranding itself as the pizza capital of the world,
and they made a fucking license plate that you can buy and pay money to get
your fucking official pizza capital of the world license plate in Connecticut now.
Because it's like a war where people are like, "Oh yeah, New York is the hotbed for pizza,
" you know, in the Northeast. But Connecticut's like, "No, no, we're the sleeper cell," you know,
just up the road. If you go into the woods a little bit, you're gonna find the finest slice
you have ever tasted, and people love it. It's fucking crazy. Supposed to be the the one, right?
Dude, it's it's amazing, and nothing against nothing against Chicago deep dish, Shaya.
I think it's very great. I've I've had what is it, Illuminati's Illuminati's pizza.
I've had it in Chicago. Very good, very good slice. I don't listen. I'm from New York, so I was born
and raised on New York pizza. So of course that's my number one. But I have to say, here in
North Dakota, that wood fired pizza, the the one that gets charred on the bottom, is super popular
and it's really delicious. So I know where you're coming from in Connecticut. Yo, hell yeah.
So you're North North Dakota, you said. I'm in North Dakota now. Yeah. Dang,
one of the only states I've never been to, so that's awesome to hear. Big up to North Dakota.
So I remember when Charles was asked what was his favorite pizza, and he said Chicago deep dish,
and a lot of people were like, "What?" It was like such a topic of conversation for a while. Dude,
that's the that's the era where people are like, pineapple and pizza is stupid, and people are like,
oh my god, there's like fucking Factions and NFTs voting on decentralized platforms for
whether or not this food variety is permissible. What an amazing era! Okay, well, I have to go.
This was an amazing pizza rendition. I'm going to definitely revert back to this space. So
when I build my next trivia category deck, ah yes, Jenny, before we wrap. No, I'm just saying.
I have. I'm going to be here tomorrow hosting. I don't have a guest because I blocked off
my Wednesdays. Because I only have a few left, so please come hang out.
I just want to have a good time. Come, come, hang out with us. Note if you're around, stop by Lydo.
Same with you. That's it. Thank you, Lydo. If it's possible, I will try to stop by.
We have I have karaoke tomorrow, but I think I should be able to at least stop by for like
30 minutes before karaoke starts. By the way, if you missed those numbers earlier, it's
250,000 US dollars only for 41 people. If you have a product that you're building in Kadana
and you need some extra dev help, we are extremely trained. I have over 15 years of experience
and would be happy to augment your team without breaking the bank, especially in this economy
and crypto situation. So do reach out in the DM. We'll see you tomorrow. Come hang out with Jannin.
I will tell you. Stop by. What's up, Jannin? I was just gonna say, remember that you know, in
Cardano Coffee, we no longer support projects; we support businesses. So,
if you want to take your business to the next level, definitely like consider Lydo, you know,
expertise into your product, so you can upgrade to a business level. Thank you. That is correct.
What's up, Chad? What you got? I was gonna say, yeah, that's right. We're reminding people:
Cardano is for serious business. But Kado is for serious business. And trivia, and trivia,
and trivia, and karaoke, and blues dancing, and swing dancing, and if you're on
the African content continent, and oh, uh, kizomba dancing, uh, we will see you next month.
See you tomorrow, same time, same place. It's been an amazing show. Peace. You forgot football.
