Thank you, everyone for being here and welcome to the Casper Association's first X-Space of the Year.
Very exciting.
I'm joined today by my fellow colleagues.
okay thank you everyone for being here and welcome to the casper associations first x space of the
year very exciting i'm joined today by my fellow colleagues but well firstly i'm joe davis community
director at the casper association um i'm joined today by my lovely co-hosts and colleagues michael
steuer cto at the casper association matt schaffnet ceo at the casper association and we have some
guests as well lorenzo stroh ai cspr and tubly um so without further ado i'd like to just thank
everyone for being here you can leave us questions in the section comment section below this x space
and we will do our absolute best to answer those questions during this x space um if not we will
try and get back to you in a text form uh format afterwards um with that being said i'd like to
first off hand it over to matt schaffnet ceo at the casper association who will give an introduction
and some updates handed over to you matt hey thanks a lot joe really appreciate it uh happy new year
everybody i hope everyone had a chance to unplug spend some time with loved ones and recharge over
the holidays and the past few weeks have been off to a great start thank you very very much for tuning
in and being here for casper network's first x space of the year we really appreciate it and look
forward to the year and discussion ahead as joe mentioned i'm matt schaffnet ceo of the casper
association and as we head off into 2025 i'd like to take a brief moment to reflect on where we've been
where we are now and the exciting potential the future holds for us as a community
without a doubt the past year and particularly the last several months has been one of the most
challenging periods we've faced together as a community many tough decisions have been made
and the pressure has been felt by each and every one of us i want to sincerely thank each and every
one of you for your resilience and commitment as we continue to navigate this turning point
it's truly incredible how quickly environments can change and i truly believe brighter days are ahead
for our network and the community ecosystem at large and it's in periods such as these that i'm
often reminded of something we reflected back in the day at annalee capital management in similar
moments theodore roosevelt's words from the man in the arena expert delivered at the sorbonne in
paris at the end of april 1910 still ring true today it's not the critic who counts not the man who
points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done them better the credit
belongs to the man who is actually in the arena in order to realize our full potential we must continue
fostering an open and inclusive team environment where opinions are freely shared and where respect
integrity competence and diligence remain our core values each of the core members of our team at the
casper association embodies these qualities and is one of the main reasons i'm confident in our
collective ability to move forward stronger than ever looking ahead we are committed to delivering on
our aim to make casper the premier community driven blockchain network and i'm grateful for the
opportunity today to share some of the concrete steps that we've taken as an organization since
doubling down on this focus as you're aware we have successfully transitioned the board ahead of
schedule and we have held three on-chain votes since the decision's inception including the on-chain
voting systems for validators the testnet incentive program and the association's delegation policy
with more slated and expected to follow the association has been orderly restructured into three teams
ecosystem fin ops and engineering with slightly more than half of the 20 person team focused on areas related to
core and ecosystem engineering dev ops and dev rel as a result casper 2.0 is slated for shipment in March
bringing the network up to table stakes with respect to the broader blockchain ecosystem
and enabling the novel aspects of its engineering design to really shine through
and from an ecosystem perspective we expect rwy and router protocols to launch in q1
possibly the beginning of q2 equipping the network and ecosystem with liquid staking and multi-chain
capabilities in the not too distant future i hope to be discussing a lending protocol as well as
to those discussions as they become more relevant one thing is for certain the implementations rolling
out in q1 set the stage for the ecosystem to begin truly harnessing defy on the casper network
as well as to better leverage its feature set which includes a modular architecture
upgradable smart contracts and instant finality and while all of this is exciting i'd like to also give a
quick shout out to our dev rel team who has been diligently working on our website consolidation and
overhaul while making our documentation even more easy to engage with most importantly real world use
cases are top of mind and conversations are progressing on several fronts some of those
revolve around intellectual property rights such as music royalties while others focus on areas such as
real estate finance our passion for algorithmic smart financial contracts haven't subsided
as our relationship with the actus foundation continues to grow what all of these have in common
is that they have impact in the real world they also revolve around property rights be they tangible
as is the case with real estate or intangible as is in the case with music royalties and other
intellectual property rights financial contracts the molecular structure of the economy also represent
property rights it's really no wonder that almost every economic evolution which significantly increased
the living standards of everyone revolved around the expansion of property rights
blockchain's purpose is perfect for this and with the mission to meaningfully contribute to the build
the build out of the decentralized economy which we believe furthers these ends we plan to lean
into our strengths in those areas supported by its utility token cspr casper network is well positioned
to be a dominant venue for cryptographically secured property rights cspr whether tangible or intangible
casper aims to be the foundation for next generation of property rights secure transparent and powered by
cryptography from digital art to real world assets casper enables individuals and businesses to unlock value
in a way that's immutable global and decentralized with cspr as the driving force we are building the
infrastructure for a new era and economic prosperity and are excited to have you along for the ride
with that i'd like to hand the stage back over to joe who will welcome our next participant and i'd like to
thank everyone once again for being here for the kickoff of 2025
thank you matt amazing thanks for that i'd like to quickly remind everyone again um that you can leave
questions in this space and we really do want to hear your questions and we want to give you the answers
to those questions so please if you have any questions leave them here on this x space and we'll do our absolute
best to answer those questions without any further ado again i'm going to hand it over to
my co-host of the call michael stoyer the cto of casper association thank you here you go michael
thank you very much joe and thank you very much for that overview and your introduction matt
i think i speak on behalf of the whole casper community when i say that we are extremely grateful
for all you do for the project and on a personal level i might add that i can say that i couldn't be
happier to have you as my partner in heralding in this new era for the casper network
so let's talk about all that is new since we last had an x space before the holiday break
let's start with a status update on all things casper 2.0 which i know many of you are eagerly
awaiting um in late december we merged the casper 2.0 branch with our main development branch in github
a milestone that was about 18 months in the making this means that at that point from a development
perspective the casper 2.0 launch was locked in as further development on the casper 1.x
branch essentially became impossible we then gave the whole development team a well-deserved break
during the christmas and new year's periods in order to resume with fresh energy and motivation in early
january and resume with the rollout process of casper 2.0 the first step in that process was getting
casper 2.0 fully activated on our devnet which you may consider a closed beta environment
this step occurred the week we were back since then our dedicated testing team has been performing
in-depth functionality and performance testing against devnet every night reporting their findings
back to the core engineering team each morning who would then evaluate any findings and prioritize
any work resulting from those findings similarly a small group of third-party ecosystem partners
have also been hitting the hitting up the devnet to test their tools and their apps and report back
any findings to our core engineering team while some optimizations have been identified over the past
few weeks mostly around configuration tweaking and things like argument naming and such i'm happy to
report that for all recent testing runs results have been satisfactory with all metrics running within the
expected norms this means that we're now proceeding with the next step in the rollout schedule which is
upgrading the integration network unlike the devnet the integration network can be considered more of an
open beta since it's used by substantially more ecosystem third parties for early testing based on the
information we have as of yesterday we are looking at an integration network upgrades by the end of next week
this upgrade will be accompanied by a release of all cspr suite components by make meaning you will be
able to use cspr.live on integration network and if you're a developer you can start using the cspr cloud
api with your applications on integration network as well in fact to facilitate the casper 2.0 network
upgrades the team at make has had to upgrade and release a total of 31 individual components apps and libraries
that are used by our community it has taken quite some impressive effort and coordination to have
all these blocks fall into place in the right sequence and at the right time so back to our
rollout schedule after integration network is upgraded we will continue testing and collecting community
feedback before we schedule an upgrade of test nets as mentioned most of the critical infrastructure
components are ready for the upgrade for example the make suite but we want to make sure that other
third-party developers too have been as seamless as possible experience migrating to 2.0 we expect
this phase to take a few weeks once testnet is upgraded we will schedule a mainnet upgrade in
coordination with the validator community as well as key ecosystem participants such as major exchanges
with more than two months left in the quarter we currently fully expect to meet our timeline
expectations of being on mainnet by the end of the quarter um with 2.0 getting close to roll out
the core engineering team is laying out the roadmap for casper 2.1 and beyond which we look forward to
publicly sharing in the near future in casper 2.1 we expect to launch an entirely new execution engine
which introduces significant new features and developer capabilities in fact we are starting
monthly recurring developer preview meetings this week with the first such session taking place this
upcoming thursday if you are a smart contract developer or simply have an interest in the latest
innovations coming to casper network please check our social media for details on how to join the
upcoming developer preview this week that tackles the core infrastructure so what else is in motion
uh let's talk about sdks most third parties interface with casper network using an sdk or software
developer kit this goes for dApps as well as exchanges one of the goals i said when i joined
casper as its cto was to ensure that the 2.0 upgrade would be as seamless as possible and make it so
that there is as little as possible risk of any breakage of any key apps post upgrades on the one hand
this has resulted in a more metered approach to rolling out breaking changes in the core protocol
and on the other hand we've done a lot of work on the sdk level to ensure a minimum migration effort
for downstream parties in fact for many exchanges depending on which methods they use when interacting
with the network they may not have to upgrade their sdks before the 2.0 launch at all but for those
that either need to or want to we have redeveloped our sdks in a way that they are both backwards and
forward compatible meaning you could upgrade the sdk today and it will continue working against
casper network 1.x and when casper 2.0 launches it continues working the exact same way additionally
we have unified the interfaces in our sdk so that most of them are now providing essentially identical
functionality and approaches making it so that if you understand working with for example the c sharp
sdk you could just as easily work with the go or javascript sdk this is a huge advantage for teams
that use different stacks on the front end versus the back end for example in addition to all these
core components we are also doing work on bringing core primitives up to speed for casper 2.0 we have
contracted with a former core developer on bringing our token standards cp18 and cp78 among others fully ready
for casper 2.0 while existing tokens and contracts continue to work seamlessly if they have been
deployed to mainnet before casper 2.0 in order to compile new contracts against casper 2.0 the code
the code and testing harness of these token contracts has to be upgraded we expect to have fully 2.0
compatible token contracts available for the community in february on the wallet front casper wallet is ready
for casper 2.0 and an updated version will be released in the next few weeks we are also closely
working with our partners on dax on preparing an update of the casper ledger app as well as the ledger
live application to ensure full casper 2.0 functionality as soon as possible finally we have engaged with
killian hasquets a well-known ecosystem developer on upgrading the metamask snap the updated metamask snap
will not only be fully casper 2.0 compatible but will also feature some ui and ux updates that make
it even more user-friendly we expect a new metamask snap for casper and that work to be completed in the
next week as we ramp up for the launch of casper 2.0 we're also actively working on revamping our
marketing strategy for the network we are engaging with new marketing agencies and revising internal
strategies and processes in order to kick off significant marketing efforts in the lead up to
and throughout the launch of casper 2.0 these strategies will have dual objectives uh one to
educate and attract users for casper network and two to attract builders creators and issuers for casper
network paired with some of the products and programs we know will be launching in the months to come
we are excited about getting this messaging out to the broader world and shine a bright light on the
renewed casper network let's shift to ecosystem so let's talk about some of the developments in the
broader casper ecosystem and the many projects that are building on our network some of which we'll
present in this xspace later on uh first off rwi protocol and liquid staking one of the last minute
scope changes to the casper 2.0 feature set was the ability for contracts to directly and natively stake on
the network this change mainly benefits the implementation of natively secured liquid staking
solutions as many know the rwi protocol is currently building an implementation of this to launch in
parallel with casper 2.0 i had the pleasure of or i have the pleasure of closely following along their
progress and can report that as of this week they have been successfully staking unstaking and claiming
rewards against the native staking contracts on devnet so against casper 2.0 while there is work to be
done around the product the front end and further iterations of the smart contracts it seems that the
major hurdles have passed successfully and this project is going full speed ahead we're excited to
see it launch alongside casper 2.0 uh casper ai i know that lorenzo will be presenting shortly on behalf of
casper ai so i don't want to steal his thunder but i'll just comment on briefly for anyone who's been
paying attention it is clear that the casper ai project has had phenomenal success in gaining
traction in the broader blockchain space as a cross-chain token the ai agent token has gained
attention from exchanges around the world while the core team at casper ai is hard at work at building
out the actual ai agent functionality exclusively on casper network i had the pleasure of getting a demo
and insights into their roadmap last week and i'm very excited about what's to come i'll leave the rest
on that topic to lorenzo router protocol the cross-chain bridge that will connect casper network with over
30 other networks in one of the most efficient bridging environments possible is moving forward with their
integration before the holiday their contracts went into a security audit with halborn security and as is
always the case some issues were identified with the router pro which the router protocol is now in the
process of addressing we expect to see them wrap up their remediation efforts in the next few weeks and
hope that their launch will coincide with casper 2.0 they also have been testing against casper 2.0 already in
the meantime then we are pleased to announce that we are working closely with the team at friendly markets to
launch a new web-based token minting dap not too dissimilar from apps like pump.fun and others this new dap will
allow a user to quickly and easily create a token on casper network and select from multiple liquidity
methods whether through liquidity pools or using a bonding curve and tokens created through this platform
will become available for trading via friendly market providing for instant liquidity and marketability
we are helping friendly market in making sure connections to the outside world exist meaning data
feeds on dex tools coin market cap coin gecko etc in parallel to all this we're also working with
friendly markets on integrating cspr.click as their wallet connection solution on the friendly market dex
which should remediate any wallet connection issues users may have had in the past
uh then casper fans uh we know that the community is eagerly uh waiting for season three of the casper
fans app uh while we were originally hoping to launch on february 1st some things have changed in
the telegram ecosystem that have required us to change the product a bit at the last minute these changes
are now being implemented and we're expecting to launch season three in the middle of february this will
be accompanied by a whole set of new features and engaging mini games as well as an increased price
pool we are excited to kick this new season off and unleash the power of the casper community on the
broader web3 worlds uh cowl network so originally we were going to have representatives of cowl network
present during this this xpace uh but due to unforeseen circumstances they couldn't make it and will present in
the next one as many of you are aware cowl has launched its staking campaign and is working to
launch its first deep in features in the near future on casper network um so we look forward to having
someone from cowl present us in the next xspace in the meantime please keep following their socials for
updates cspr.shopping for those of you who like shopping online which i think is everybody uh you can now earn
free cspr cashback from all your favorite online retailers around the world through cspr shopping
which is built into the casper wallet whenever you visit a supported retailer which includes massive
names around the world such as alibaba instacart gap cvs pharmacy and xpedia among thousands of others
an optional pop-up will offer you uh to receive a certain percentage of your purchase price back to your
casper wallet in cspr free cspr tokens basically so make sure you update your casper wallets
and then last but not least in other breaking news uh casper network has re-engaged with the team at
wise lending wise as many may know operates the single largest uh liquidity pools on the ethereum network
and has hundreds of millions of dollars in tpl the wise team have been early supporters of casper
and given all the momentum in our ecosystem is now in the process of porting wise lending to casper
network as the first and only non-evm chain it supports currently casper association and make
are closely supporting them and the smart contract work is assisted by the odra team to ensure everything
is of the highest possible quality wise lending will also be making use of on-chain oracles provided by
redstone who uh in also breaking news recently completed their integration with casper network
it can now provide price oracles to old d5 integrations on casper network since lending and
leverage are key components of a flourishing web3 ecosystem we could not be happier to welcome the
biggest name in that space wise lending to casper network i could go on for a while longer as there's
uh more activity happening in our ecosystem than we can fit in a single x space but you're not here
uh to only listen to me ramble on you'll uh get more and new updates from me in the next x space if not

like to hand the floor to you thanks for joining how's everything going hey hello can you hear me
well we can hear you perfect well thank you thank you for the introduction yeah uh well i'm the project
manager for for casper ai and uh we have a pretty big team on on casper ai at the moment uh it's mainly
developers uh they've worked on on many projects in the past uh ai and non-ai but mainly blockchain
and uh although we only we have only worked on this for three four months maybe before uh pg i think we
we've made good progress on the on the tech uh and on the on the user base we i think we got a good
amount of users uh new users uh we brought them to to the casper network as well i think there's a
lot of uh there's a lot of hype with uh with casper in general now obviously the market uh you know has
been a little bit shaky uh you know we have pumps and dumps uh you know all coins are not doing the
greatest right now but uh we are focusing on the on the tech uh i think uh the next the next big update
that we're gonna have on casper ai is gonna be a fully fledged marketplace for ai personas agents
whatever you want to call them uh basically users will be able to to create and mold uh a persona
uh even even from like a famous person and uh they can give it different stats uh evolve it
and then if they want they can uh mint that as an nft on the casper network they can transfer that or
they can put it up for sale on the on the marketplace right now you can already uh generate tweets and
uh and tweet with your with your twitter account uh additionally you will also be able to customize
their uh appearance uh also through ai and uh all of that is going to be integrated with the with the
token itself uh of course we're also still working on on getting more exchanges on board uh getting more
more eyes on on casper ai and casper network in general we have a pretty big uh kol network uh that
you know i i thank all of them for for helping us to to push uh any of the big announcements that we
that we make uh i think uh with casper 2.0 coming very soon uh i think we'll definitely be able to get a
uh a whole lot new amount of users to casper especially with the with the liquid staking with
the high apr from the staking itself um i think it's a no-brainer for for big wells to to be coming
in and and staking um so i'm very excited for for 2.0 uh obviously i've been working with michael and and
and and aldra and everyone and i know it's it's progressing really nicely so i'm confident that
that is going to be it's going to be completed in in q1 um so yeah i think casper has a bright future

tably like casper network and with tably users can learn basic knowledge basic information about
crypto crypto wallets transactions and also get some airdrop tokens and these users will have
possibility to use ecosystem projects for now we have integrated the casper network and aleph zero and
we have making airdrops for various projects by helping to introduce our users crypto projects you can log
into tably and check that we have a fully functional casper wallet where you can make a deposit you can
make withdrawals and you can also export your private key and yeah it's really easy to use just install
and you can check that we are also on cspr.live you can see our smart contract and it's linked to our
activity of our users and each claim of the spot in the tably map it represents a single transaction that
demonstrates that our activity is not fake uh but real users who play tably uh yeah it's real users
that play tab you can you can check that on the on the explorer and every new user it's a new wallet on
the casper network and in the soon future we're gonna also organize together with casper airdrop
