Hey, everyone. Can you hear me?
We'll give it a couple of minutes for the speakers to join.
I think Sean is there as well.
Oh, fun to see so many familiar faces.
Good morning from Germany.
Just want to say thanks for setting this up and organizing it for Fire with the Team.
Yeah, we're definitely not unique in setting up a catalyst space, but there are so many projects
and everybody's trying to get attention on their proposals.
So we thought it was a nice idea to give it a try.
Yeah, it's always fun to have conversations with fun gents from the community.
I have an entrepreneur coming in my house.
Mitch will be on profile and just testing.
Yeah, one hour left for voting.
I don't know if somebody knows the tool, but I saw some projects yesterday posting on X about how many votes they already got.
I didn't know that existed.
You couldn't see how much ADA is behind the votes that they got, but you could see how many people already voted for your proposal.
If somebody knows that link happened.
You have to dive a little bit deeper, but then you have all the information on the blockchain.
So it's possible to see it.
And our CTO told us also already he can see lots of things, but I said, okay, don't tell me.
I like to go ahead and, you know, know nothing and just work and get the best out of it.
So I like the time of Catalyst.
It's a very intensive time.
You meet a lot of people.
You talk to a lot of people.
So I think we should play the game, you know, and not know too much before us.
Be strategic and upvote, downvote, you know.
I'm a fan of upvoting only, but let's see how this Catalyst round is and how next will be.
Yeah, I'm also curious always for just a decision to look through the list to see if you get funded.
At Profiler, we've been funded, I think, a dozen, literally a dozen times over the last funds.
I think from fund five to fund 12 or something, we got lucky, quote unquote, so many times.
Or we have this kind of great ADA whale manufacturer.
But it's a bit of a black box that this Catalyst voting will have.
We'll talk about it in more detail afterwards.
But maybe I'll kick off the space.
So thank you, Tim from IMX, James from Unbox, Sean from Profiler,
Yoram from Andamio and many other projects known in the space.
Here, everybody knows the setup.
So Catalyst voting is ending in less than an hour.
And this space is just to have a chat.
I would love to hear a little bit about your Catalyst proposals and then maybe in detail about one proposal.
And give the community a bit of information about your company and what you're doing with this proposal.
In the hope that there's people who didn't vote yet, who can still vote during the last hour and who will then quickly go through the Catalyst voting app, find your proposal from IMX, Unbox, Profiler, Andamio or Partizia and then vote again if they didn't do that yet.
So maybe I'll quickly go around the table or I'll give everybody 30 seconds or a minute to just present themselves and present your project.
The first one that I'm seeing here is Yoram.
You're calling in from Argentina.
I came to the Constitution week and then stayed here.
So I'm actually on vacation now with my son.
But yeah, I guess vacation starts today.
Thanks for taking the time.
You want me to start and introduce?
Yeah, just introduce yourself a little bit and the projects you're working on and then we'll go around the table.
And then when everybody is introduced, we'll go detailed into everybody's project.
Thank you for making the space.
Great being here with everyone.
And in the last time on Cardano, over four years already, very active in two main areas today.
One is with Andamio, which is a learn-to-work platform built on Cardano with a lot of on-chain activities and so on.
And the second part is onboarding companies to the ecosystem.
And in this fund, I supported and helped kind of around 40 different projects, which is, I don't know, how did I get to that?
And with some non-brands, helping them with partnership, onboarding, focus the proposal, collaboration.
Yeah, that's a lot of my focus.
And yeah, happy then to share one of the main proposals I really vote for and hope it will get funded.
The next one on my screen is James.
I'm the chief product officer of Unbox.
In short, Unbox, we have built a protocol that allow basically anyone to create smart tokens, which essentially is an extension of tokenization and tokens, as we know it, but allows you to do a lot more cool things, whether that's conditional spending, earning, receiving, soul-bound tokens.
So we're hoping that our protocol and our platform opens the doors for a lot more use cases on Cardano.
And that's also what we kind of focused a lot of our Catalyst proposals on this time around as well.
So I'm with Profiler, UNHCR, a cool batteries one that I'll talk about because that's kind of picking up steam a little bit as well.
And thanks for creating the space.
Glad for having you here.
Hey, Sean, I see you as the next one on the screen.
I know you, of course, but present yourself, please.
It's Sean Jensen, co-founder with Luke and Michiel for Profiler and the product guy.
Profiler, we're building the future of privacy and digital relationships on Cardano.
And we're proud today to talk about a different proposal with Emmer.
So thank you for being here.
I'm Tim, one of the co-founders of IMX, which is a simple onboarding company to tell in a nutshell and around.
This onboarding solution we developed, we built some, we call it satellites internally, which are own companies or joint ventures.
But I will just talk about one of our most important proposals, which we did together with BeginWallet, where IMX owns some shares.
We also founded DocuFight.com, which is now an independent satellite, which we really love, you know, to build something up and give it out to another CEO and another.
So new team members, that was something I really love.
And we're very successful with the DocuFight tool.
So in a nutshell, that's me.
And now, last but not least, Bruce from Partizia.
First of all, thanks for the setup and the call today.
I really appreciate the ability to set this up very quickly.
My name is Bruce, I'm the chief of staff at Partizia Blockchain Foundation.
We are actually a layer one that focuses on multi-party computation.
We have a customizable multi-party computation, smart contract language, which enables custody of your own data.
Just like how Bitcoin enables custody of assets, what we enable is the custody of your own data.
So I know in the beginning of the conversation, we talked a little bit about the Catalyst Fund voting results and the fact that because it's all on chain, you can see, even before the voting has concluded, what the results are currently.
And in many ways, you know, we believe that enabling privacy, enabling the ability to obfuscate these kinds of information actually brings a much more ethical solution to the table.
So as an example, if these votes are already visible and unchained, it creates biases for people to say, oh, you know what?
This project has a lot of votes.
It must be a great project to vote on.
So I'm going to go vote for that as an example.
And it also exposes who voted for what, which also creates certain challenges, especially when there's a lot of money involved.
So we bring this technology to the table and it complements things like zero-knowledge proof that Midnight brings to Cardano.
Midnight brings zero-knowledge proof to Cardano.
What we are proposing is to bring multi-party computation to the Cardano ecosystem through this proposal, where the multi-party computation technology can be used as a service to all the builders that are building in Cardano.
Thank you for the introduction.
Thank you for the introduction.
Privacy on blockchain, seeing how many votes there are.
We, of course, know that not every vote is the same.
One vote can be 180 million ADA.
We'll talk about that later after everybody had a little bit of time to present their proposal.
So now for those who are listening, for the speakers, I would suggest that when you pitch your project in five minutes, that you first start with the full name of your project so that we can find it in the Catalyst voting app.
And then just give us five minutes in short, layman's terms, what you're building or what you're proposing to build in Fund 13.
I'll do the same tour and start with Joram.
Joram, you can mention multiple names from multiple projects so that people can vote for them all.
But if you deep dive, just choose the one you like the most or the one you think has the most impact.
So the best to know about the projects of all the projects that comes through Andamio is the best to go to Andamio.io.
And you can see all the projects.
They are divided into two types of projects.
One is very highly technical projects.
We have very strong tech team, including Jingles from Mesh and James from Gimbal Labs and Mix and many others.
And we build very strong technology infrastructure for Cardano.
And the second part, which is more my passion, obviously, is the connecting this technology to onboard great companies to Cardano.
And you have three companies that we onboarded in this round.
One is the Barcelona Football Club that was, just to Bruce coming before, was the one that was most voted last time, but it didn't go through.
But then we can talk about it later.
So they are coming again with a smaller budget, originally, and much more focused proposal with one million on-chain transactions.
The second one is Goodwall, which is a network of three million youths, also coming with great proposal.
And the third one, which I will focus on, is Syngenta.
And you can look on the voting app for Syngenta agriculture.
And this is basically something that brought me to Cardano and to blockchain four years ago,
which is we are building a satellite oracle on the blockchain, basically,
that's enabled to use super-resolution satellite images at a very low price and connect it to many, many use cases.
And this proposal gives an example of one use case like that.
So we are partnered with a multi-billion dollar company called Syngenta,
which is one of the world-leading seed suppliers for farmers around the world,
with tens of millions of farmers and 50,000 employees, really, really huge company.
And we choose a use case with two million farmers in India.
They have a project in India where they work with 20,000 agri-entrepreneurs, each work with 100 farmers.
And basically, we are building a satellite oracle that enables them to create for each one of these farmers land borders and land production
that can be connected into different dApps.
One dApp is, for example, can be for microfinance, improving all the microfinance supply chain,
microinsurance, even connecting to a solution like FIDA finance on Cardano.
Land ownership, right, like connecting to Landano friends and so on,
or to Zengate for supply chain, transparency supply chain.
So it really can create hundreds of dApps that can connect you to this information.
This use case already will have a huge on-chain transaction we are creating.
We are starting with 100,000 farmers, 100,000 wallets, 100,000 NFTs,
and on-chain transactions through the oracle.
The oracle is going to be built by our friend Anastasia Labs,
and in collaboration with the infrastructure of NFT of NMaker.
And, yeah, and it's going to be an open source, which is also massive.
So we want, and we really believe that this use case and technology we are building can enable, you know,
hundreds of dApps eventually on Cardano, you know, changing complete industries,
the way they work, making it more efficient.
This specific project aims to empower, finally, the farmer.
The farmers will own their data, and we believe it can result in increasing by 100% the farmer's net profit.
Anyone that knows agriculture supply chains knows that the farmers that produce our food actually are in a kind of poverty cycle,
and we want to try and change that to this solution.
It's a really, really exciting proposal.
Again, that's what brought me to blockchain four years ago, so it's kind of a dream proposal for me.
We are working anyway on this technology, so smaller proposals already,
that we are already using and doing satellite NFTs on Cardano with smaller proposals,
so we can check them out.
But this one is really taking it to the next step.
It will be Syngenta works in collaboration with the Indian government,
and, yeah, it will just a world brand that will take it also to many other locations.
So, yeah, I can talk about this for hours, but, yeah.
That was a very clear summary.
And just for my information, this is under the Cardano Partners Enterprise R&D,
or the growth and acceleration?
So, it's in the Cardano Partners Enterprise.
One thing that is important to mention, Syngenta is not taking any money or hardly taking any money to themselves
and actually putting in kind, you know, all the work they are doing is not financed by the ecosystem.
So, they finance it themselves using other infrastructure and so on.
So, most of the funding is going, actually, to building the Oracle, you know, the NFTs, the 100,000 NFTs and all of that.
Most of the funding goes to that and not to the Syngenta team.
So, for those listening, it's pinned above, so the Andamio platform, X account,
and there you can see the Syngenta agriculture insight and earth observation data.
So, maybe if you search for Andamio in the app, you might not find it.
Yeah, Syngenta or, yeah, Anastasia Labs.
Syngenta will be the best.
So, that's why, yeah, Syngenta basically will be the best.
I'm definitely going to have a look at the proposal.
Put some mini voting power behind it,
but I will already congratulate you on the Cardano Foundation support,
which will, of course, be very much more impactful
than my small amount of voting power.
But still, you'll have it.
And last comment on that.
Hopefully, you can also go to DabCentral anyway
to look and see the video interview about that.
I think it's interesting to see it anyway
because it's really fascinating technology
and anyway, we'll try to do it.
Next story in line is James.
James, tell me about the Unbox proposals
and then maybe deep dive into one that you'll like the most.
So, yeah, we have a few proposals out there for this fund.
One that's kind of picking up speed recently
is in the Cardano Partners Enterprise R&D category
and the short name for it is Unbox Smart Battery Passports.
Going a bit deeper into that of what that's about,
I want to tell a bit more about kind of Unbox and what we do.
So I touched on it a little bit earlier,
but we create what we call smart tokens.
And it's kind of picking up steam a little bit.
I don't know if those that listen to one of Charles' YouTube videos
but he spoke about kind of having programmable or tokens
or smart assets in themselves.
And that's kind of what Unbox has been building the last four years.
We saw a need for an advanced level of tokenization
that has kind of conditional and programmability.
Charles called it like being able to seize and freeze.
We call it more the programmable side.
So having conditions within your tokens that they can,
and your assets where they represent something fungible
or non-fungible like a battery in this case
for our catalyst proposal being able to create an ecosystem
where the assets have their own embedded values.
So if that's the transfer of assets to battery recyclers,
the creation, the correct disposal in this battery case,
or that's even for like identity and stuff that Profile is doing,
having like soulbound tokens and token gating and access levels.
We really think that's going to pick up in 2025.
And kind of we've been building the last four years towards that.
And not only building the tools so others can do it
and we can apply in different areas like this battery proposal,
but also creating a kind of platform for the community.
So before the end of the year,
we're going to be releasing a community edition on pre-prod
where anyone can essentially go and create their own,
what we call smart tokens,
and use them in their projects and applications.
So stuff like token gating, soulbound,
conditional spend, conditional receive.
And then we have a lot more of our protocol
that will slowly open up to the community
that we've already kind of been using
throughout the last four years as well.
But our batteries case that we have been pushing
currently on Catalyst at the moment is super exciting.
We're working with Enesis,
which is one of the largest industrial battery manufacturers
in the world based in the US,
working with the Battery Innovation Center,
which is kind of a think tank
that has a lot of access to the market
and what's a really exciting application of our smart tokens.
So we can create assets and an ecosystem
where the assets can kind of, to use simple language,
and behave themselves accordingly as they're designed to.
So that's from creation, recycling, transfer, regulation as well.
Regulation for the EU regulation as well,
the US coming up in 2026.
We've already created a proof of concept for that
with BIC and Enesis throughout 2024, essentially.
But this is our chance to really step it up
and we think it'll be really exciting
for the Cardano ecosystem as well as our platform
and as well as what we want to open up
to the community as well to start using it.
So all our Catalyst proposals
have an element of our smart tokens,
but I think this is quite an interesting one
and a cool one that should bring some nice visibility
as well as one that seems to be spoken about
in terms of the next level of tokenization,
how I frame it in the community as well.
For those who don't follow Unbox yet,
it's Unbox underscore Universe on X.
And then if you look in the Cardano Partners Enterprise R&D,
just search for Unbox Smart Battery Passport
and then you'll find it, the large proposal.
You definitely also have my vote,
but you already had that before you pitched
So next one in line is Sean.
Sean, do you want to quickly mention
what we're doing with Amr?
So yeah, we've partnered with Amr Capital
or Amr Group in Switzerland.
they're actually an interesting payments company.
They're a regulated entity in Switzerland
and they're trying to unlock the potential
of compliant crypto payments for businesses and people.
But the founder was ex-Telegram
and has implemented some very deep integration
into Telegram for payments.
And what excited Profiler is that,
you know, the number one thing we need
in the ecosystem is adoption
by millions and millions of users,
but also simpler payments
to stimulate volume of trading
and ease of access of using ADA
So the project we put forward
is enabling a billion Telegram users
transferring cash, you know,
ADA to each other through a message.
It literally takes a couple of minutes to set up
and you could be sending ADA to each other
through messages linked to the Amr wallet.
And also they've got a great feature
to actually generate invoices very simply
or one of the other cryptocurrencies
that the Amr wallet supports,
which it does support multiples.
They've already onboarded
several other cryptocurrencies,
is to onboard ADA and Cardano
to simply send ADA to each other
across a message linked to a wallet.
The other benefits for Profiler
to people in our Cardano native token
This is a reminder in Profiler,
you build a profile of yourself.
You then lease that data to brands
so that they can target you
with products and services.
Our first use case is advertising,
we're looking at healthcare
where it's an exchange of information.
they'll pay for advertising
and the quality of your attention,
to empower our own users,
but also the whole Cardano community
if there was a simpler tool set,
So it's an interesting project
because I think it not only helps Profiler,
but it also significantly helps
And the scope of the project
there's many other companies
that they currently work with.
if it's publicly announced yet,
the crypto payments rights
from a very large sports car
to be able to purchase cars
In one of our earlier spaces,
I think there will continue
into messaging ecosystems,
will get faster adoption.
And that was the project's scope.
under Cardano use cases product.
is very well established,
very well respected in the industry
And we believe it will be
and give them the ability
Thank you, Sean, for that.
Cardano use cases product,
your first catalyst proposal.
about your Fund 13 pipeline.
And I'd just like to say,
is the work market leader
people laughed about them.
but also football stadiums,
of financial institutions.
it's knowing who you are.
platform for tokenization.
very intimate group here.
who enters the apartment.
When does the door close?
and get a little bit more
