I believe it's been a month since we last spoke good morning good afternoon good evening depending on where everybody is it's a special one today we i say i'm not in dubai but uh some of us
are in dubai and with that in mind,
it's going to be a little bit more of a condensed community update this time around.
There are a few meetings taking place.
Some team members are unavailable.
Some are stuck in the notorious traffic
on that massive highway
that runs through the skyscrapers.
But we're going to do our best
to get through everything as quickly as possible
um we've got a packed agenda lots has happened lots has happened since we last spoke
hi everybody hey mike hey how's it going how's dubai very it's hot, and I'm walking around 20,000 steps a day. Of course, I'm scanning.
And very much some great meetings, but we'll get into that.
But excited to be here as always.

Fantastic. So, yeah, let's kick things off. It's five past the hour. We've got a bit of a constraint on time due to a feudal team being at events over in Dubai, Token 2049. We've got a packed agenda as well. We're going to recap the events. It's been a busy week and busy month of events as well with Paris Blockchain Week.

We're going to talk about, of course, Spark Drop 6 and Aernode sales.
We're going to recap the staking launch uh of course the the epoch the epoch
uh kicked off today for may um touch on phone plans hd1 update and then we've got a an exciting uh
release announcement actually which i'm looking forward to sharing uh some people may be aware of this already actually depending on uh fair devices
so uh let's get into it so uh token 2049 dubai it's hot it's busy um the crypto world has landed
in dubai mickey uh how's it going what's the objective for the event and uh is there anything
you can share about the conversations and presence so far? And Alan as well.
I know you've been busy with Mickey today.
Yeah, we're pretty pressed for time.
So I want to kind of, there's lots to tell.
But in reality, you know, while mobile has changed a little bit over the last year, year and a half,
we are now regarded as one of the OG projects and very well respected in the industry for for what we're doing
and people are amazed at where we are and they know that we're going to go to so uh this one
we've been invited to a lot of exclusive events uh we've been doing some you know private talks
with very small uh communities uh around the deep in space around the wider narrative of where defy
is going uh have met some very cool people uh Other people I also met at Paris Blockchain Week.
And there's some deals to be done.
We are with the hottest girl in the room, which is a nice thing to be able to say.
And somebody else said that to us the other day.
So it's been enjoyable.
It's been absolutely exhausting.
Last night, I did an AMA.
I arrived back at the hotel and then i
needed to do with all the emails and everything else went to bed at three o'clock in the morning
uh woke up at seven first meeting was at 7 30 and it's been non-stop i've been with alan today
half the day uh we met with uh sk chain uh i met with some some other people uh whose names i won't
say yet but when you you hear you'll be very very happy as a community
and we're just progressing the mission further but it what's clear to me now is that people
are beginning to respect what we have built and the fact that we're not vaporware and they
recognize that that's great to hear and um paris blockchain week is there anything you can share from
the discussions and meetings that took place there uh last month yeah the honorable james
bowwater the legend that he is uh made sure that i came even though i'd shaved off my beard and
wasn't expecting to go out into the public for a couple of weeks due to lack of beard shame.
But he made sure I did and set up a bunch of meetings that have also been followed up here.
It was very good, very well put on event, very professional event.
A lot of infrastructure plays there.
We ended up sitting with some very nice people, people that I'd never met before, which is strange in the industry
because it's quite a small industry
and some partnerships that have been made
and will be announced.
Looking forward to it.
And yeah, just a shout out again to Mr. Bowater
for an incredible Digital Commonwealth Summit earlier this week in
London at Mansion House. So myself, Andy Soper, Emmanuel, the Deepin Cat attended,
very smart in our black tie for the awards dinner as well. But that was an incredible event. We got
to meet with a whole host of different stakeholders and projects from everybody from Fetch, AI,
Rainfall, Minima. Yeah, it was a very, very productive day and a wonderful awards dinner
as well to cap it all off. Since we last spoke, I think last time we spoke, the big question in
the community was when staking, when staking. Staking is now back and today marks the beginning of the new epoch for May
and the snapshots for May on Cardano in the vaults. Mickey, can you give the community
an explainer on what core staking is, how to get involved and um yeah what the results have been uh since since launched there's
a lot of uh wncx has been stayed since uh we went live uh just around a week ago i think it's 300
million and growing uh if i'm if i'm not mistaken uh yeah course staking is essentially a continuation of early staking that will then migrate to Earthnode staking.
It was very much a request of the community.
We had EVM ready for some time, but it took us a while to audit and get the Cardano side ready.
And it was important to us to make sure that we honor the Cardano community as well.
So that release was a great great thing but we haven't
stopped there we also have several other staking contracts that you'll you'll be able to see soon
as well as premiere staking which will be going live as the the plans come live
awesome and how will users who have unclaimed rewards from the old cardano vaults from pre-migration
um will they be able to receive the rewards and and how alan
yes uh that will be re-enabled uh just working on the final pieces to bring that back to the community uh there will be a window of opportunity
for people to claim their rewards and you will need to uh be using a wallet and email
that you used uh previously and it'll be a very simple process from the dashboard of the vault

That's great to know.
I've seen a few questions in the community, people asking, okay, you know, core staking, how does this differ to Premiere staking?
Just to remind people that core staking is essentially the continuation of early rewards have been updated for EVM and Cardano post-migration for
WMCX. But Premier Staking is a completely different program that isn't just about rewards
and securing a network. It's also about unlocking access and ownership and benefiting from
participating within the wider OneMobile ecosystem.
So with Premier staking, there'll be a whole host of benefits,
some of which I think are incredibly appealing and exciting.
One of those elements I think is quite exciting is the referral rewards boost,
in which you can effectively see a percentage multiplier
on the rewards you generate for each affiliate referral that you make.
There will also be priority access to air node sales,
which I think given what we've seen over the course of this year and the last
few weeks is going to become a real hack for the community.
There's going to be insider access to some of the latest product releases. And there's so much being worked on at the moment. That's going to be
kind of exclusive beta access and alpha access to some of the latest products. And then also
for Enode rewards and discounts for Enode hardware, that's going to be something else.
There's a whole host of other things as well.
So, yeah, just to be clear, Premier staking, not just about rewards, it's really about participating in the wider ecosystem and unlocking further access within World Mobile.

and the EVM staking app,
and on the new kind of page that we've got

We're also releasing a video series series the first of which launched yesterday and
that's actually going to be on youtube uh in a playlist um so you'll have a whole host of
video faqs and information uh just kind of giving you the 101 explanation of course staking so i
expect to see that released uh over the next couple of days.
Mickey, building on from core staking, I guess the next biggest question in the community is what is the latest on World Mobile chain? And I believe on Saturday, when speaking to the World Mobile Alliance, you gave a pretty comprehensive update as to some of the latest changes in development and updates.
So it'd be great if you can recap some of those for people that may have missed the World Mobile Alliance space last Saturday.
Absolutely. So we aim to build a layer three.
We believe the future of layer threes is very bright
But they're not without their complexities. So we always had a backup plan if the layer three took too long
We would be able to keep the internal team working on that
But we would be able to work on a layer two and then migrate that data once we succeeded because the business needs

have now proceeded to put up the layer two it's running pretty stably we have several options
that we're going into again backups of backups we we definitely have learned from from the past that
we when we say we're going to deliver we are going to deliver so there's a couple of candidates right
now that are up and running some of the the community, Nico, for example, and some of the community members on the Earthnode
side have been stress testing. And it's looking pretty good. We'll be looking next week to
release maybe a third candidate. We'll be stress testing that. And then following that week,
we'll be ready to push into or towards a dev mainnet in which we'll be able to put all the world mobile users
on chain as daily active users and plug into all the different terminals so
the rest of the world can appreciate what world mobile has achieved
i can't wait for that moment it's been a long time coming and the amount of work going on behind the
scenes has been incredible so just want to shout out to the development and tech team for the work that they're doing.
It's not the only place where a lot of work has been undertaken.
In addition to World Mobile Chain, we've seen a significant amount of work behind the scenes on the Airnode sales platform.
A huge amount of work happening in Pakistan through WorldCall.
I had a great meeting with them last week and got all the latest updates from the SwitchFiber
projects, which you've seen some video footage and imagery from over the past few weeks.
We're coming into this community update following another almost instantaneous sellout of Spark
Airnodes in Drop6 last night, I guess the question is, do we have enough Airnodes to
cope with the demand, Mickey and Emmanuel?
Yeah, I think the demand is pretty huge.
Again, it's a balance of the private entities or private groups, public communities that are contacting us and asking us to buy. The demand is pretty big. But of course, other countries are coming online. So the idea is to deploy millions of these air nodes. We've seen a success in Pakistan. We had the foresight to move into
Pakistan, the fifth most populous country in the world. I believe the air node operators that are
operating are very happy with what they're seeing. And it's only going to get better from here.
Do we have the demand? The demand is huge. We're definitely trying to keep up with it.
The sharing economy model is absolutely working. and we are bringing online new countries and existing countries that will either be
in the next sale or the sale after
exciting times and we've seen an uptick in the frequency of NO drops. We did talk about this at the start of the year,
and we were expecting to see a higher frequency.
And yeah, I mean, in April, we saw two drops once every two weeks.
Is this something that is going to be ongoing?
Is it going to be fortnightly, or may we see some changes to that schedule? was i speaking with my microphone off the whole time um yeah i was just i was just dming you to
say i couldn't hear you mike can you hear me i can
hear you now but you weren't on mute and i could see your uh voice icon moving so i was just waiting
until that stopped but yeah go go again just in case uh some other people um didn't get to hear
you as well you want to copy yeah i can I can hear you now
and now I could now you're on mute
not the first time we've had this issue seems to be a recurrent one oh while we
wait for Mickey to come back I did allude to the fact that you know
a lot of work has been uh undertaken um on vienna sales platform and on the on the surface you know
you're not necessarily seeing uh visual changes as such but um i mean i have seen that you know
a number of different members of the community have recognized um just how much faster
and smoother uh the platform uh is um just a few of things that we've been working on i mean of
course you're all aware of the updates to uh the login options uh we have the magic links we've
now updated that to include a magic code or pass keys based on community feedback so we're really
grateful for all of the feedback that we've had you know some of it's been challenging and and
requests for changes which I think the team have been flexible in accommodating we've also been
looking at the document flow as well and seeking to increase the speeds and smoothness of that experience.
One thing that we're seeking to do moving forward is really aim to reduce that time
for the document review in the next drop.
So I'm sure many of you are aware that once you make that purchase
I'm sure many of you are aware that once you make that purchase and you kind of move through to checkout, there is a timer that gives you one hour to go through that documentation.

We've had some feedback from customers that, you know, this is kind of overkill and not necessarily required, especially now that we've got into this kind of high frequency of Spark NO drops.

be looking to bring that time down actually which i think is gonna you know make things a lot faster
uh from a purchase perspective which is quite exciting um and then yeah there's been a lot of
stability fixes behind the scenes and and updates to payment processes which i think all together
have resulted in a much smoother experience. So yeah,
moving forward, it's going to only get faster, which I think given the demand that we've seen
is incredibly positive. Just a reminder that if you haven't signed up to the whitelist,
it is becoming the only way that you are really going to get access to Airnode sales.
So moving forward, just make sure that even if you have signed up in the past,
it may just be worth signing back up again.
We have made some changes on the back end recently to aid with distribution of emails
because we've had some feedback that some people didn't receive emails.
So I would recommend to anybody that even if you have signed up previously um it would be sensible
to sign up once more uh just to double confirm that you're still within the distribution once
it goes live um mickey i think you're back now the big question um that everybody is still asking is when portals, when Apex, when Titans and Lynx and new locations, is there anything you can share to that effect?
Yes, I can.
I can confirm that within the next one or two drops, the USA will be back.
And portals and titans, maybe not links, but certainly portals and titans will be available for sale.
There will be quite some titans and quite some portals.
But that said, we also have other countries coming online, African countries, as well as a European country too.
Wow, new horizons.
You can read into that comment as much as you want.
Exciting news.
So, yeah, again, if you're not on the whitelist,
I would recommend making sure that you are on that whitelist ahead of the upcoming drops because we will be seeing the return of portals
uh titans and uh following soon after new horizons which is quite exciting um phone plans launched recently uh with the wait list we've been onboarding uh subscribers
uh quite slowly just doing our testing service level testing across different parts of the usa
uh had a fantastic conversation uh earlier this week with somebody who was uh describing their
experience driving uh nine hours uh from ne from Nevada down to Southern California,
actually, for an MMA competition and saying that he was on World Mobile
and his family were on a variety of different networks.
And he had something like 95% coverage the whole journey.
And this is going through like mountains, desert, rural locations,
into urban locations, whereas his family were really struggling with,
you know, kind of dropouts, maybe kind of 40, 50% uptime,
which I thought was incredible.
But yeah, Emmanuel, Mickey, any updates on the status of subscriber
onboarding i believe we got some kols involved in the testing as well uh when can the community
expect to see that start ramping up yeah some of the kols are actually uh in this channel right
now listening to this call other kols are kols that we we met in uh paris blockchain week it's
really important awareness about World
Mobile, but we also have some of the industry leaders, people like Charles Hoskinson that is,
you know, using and utilizing a World Mobile SIM card, as well as others that will soon come out
and you'll be able to hear their experiences. But the ultimate is making sure that the user
experience is there. We pride ourselves on making sure that we have the best coverage but beyond the best coverage we also want to have a beautiful ui the the real stickiness
right now is for us to be audited the first audit has happened the first audit has come back very
good now we need to send it to a second party we're hoping that next week that is complete or
the week after and then we will be pushing the button
and the people on the waitlist
will be receiving their signup.
Awesome.
And just so we're clear,
that audit is for the web app
and Premiere staking, isn't it?
That absolutely is, yes.
And the features inside there,
there's a code freeze that's happened so
we won't be introducing any new features because you kind of audit and then go out and
and put something else in between the audit uh so as soon as that's come back v1 will be released
it's pretty comprehensive um in fact i think mike next week you should be able to put out a video
to show everybody how to do it and some of the the the backgrounds with the kols is so they can show people uh their experience and and how it looks i don't think
there's anything in the space that is like this i think that this is a a real world implementation
of cryptocurrency of web3 for telecommunications And I believe that although this is the first version,
the community and World Mobile future subscribers
are gonna be super happy with what they see,
how they can use it, how they can access it,
how they can stake their tokens
and the benefits that they get.
It's incredibly exciting.
And yet the feedback that we've had so far
has been incredibly positive.
With film plans, and I guess this question's more for Emmanuel,
the community is also incredibly excited at the prospect of HD1 Hex Guardians.
I joined the Discord the other day and was surprised to see so many people
already in there discussing opportunities
and potential locations, et cetera. Yeah, Manuel, I wonder if you could share a little bit of an
update as to kind of where we're at with platform development and progress towards the launch of
the HEX auction. Yeah, for sure. It's very exciting. We're building something truly state of the art and development is moving very fast.
We actually have a dedicated team that's working on HT1 and they just wrapped up the first
phase and we're getting ready to launch very soon.
This platform, from my perspective, is going to set a new standard, not just in Web3, but
also across the entire telecom industry,
including Web2 platforms.
It's really designed to bring together the entire value chain that we've introduced through World Mobile.
So you have the HexGuardians, the operators, hosts, agents, partners,
everyone has a role to play into.
And we're creating a platform where all these elements
can work together in a seamless and powerful way.
A big focus for us is to make sure that the community has access to the tools and enhance functionality they need to build and grow.
So whether you're running a network or just starting out, we'll provide proper support, education and marketing to help people succeed in their mission to become successful guardians.
And just a couple more things, just a small teaser, we already had some very, very influential
people within the industry, within the Web2 industry that expressed heavy interest in bidding
for Hex. So that's going to be very exciting, putting the Hex Guardians HD1 on a map that we
haven't seen before. And that kind of tension really validates
the business model, the sharing economy, and really helps it drive forward. And lastly, but not least,
please keep an eye on the affiliate program. It's going to be very tightly linked to one of the
milestones that HexGuardians will need to achieve. So the affiliate program that will be launching
with the phone plans.
So once it launches, it's important to go full steam with it. And it's one of the most powerful ways to grow your subscriber base and unlock the full potential of the Hex Guardians.
Yeah, I've really been enjoying playing around with the new map interface and the smoothness and the uh the 3d kind of virtual buildings etc is just
oh man it's it's uh it's an exciting one maybe maybe maybe we can uh leak something and share
some insight as to kind of how that development is is looking at the moment um i'm getting a few
dms from the team and i know there are some meetings taking place and we're getting tight on time for this one.
But we have got an exciting announcement
that we want to share with the community.
So, and I did allude to the fact
that some people may already be aware of this,
depending on what device they have.
And yeah, if you are a Android user
and you have the World Mobile app installed on your device,
you may just want to check on the Play Store
because today we did launch the brand new World Mobile app.
There are some significant changes to the app and I'll just kind of run
through it from a high level some of the things that have changed. So we've added in 10 new
badges to earn. Each one celebrates a different milestone based on your usage.
The first one, you know, if you scanned before June 10th, 2024,
you'll already be a pioneer.
But there are a number of different badges from touching grass to the great wall, the leaf badge, which I think will raise a smile or two
when people see the number of points you need to
unlock that one there's the world nomads moon there's a whole host of different badges
um you'll also be able to see your scan history so you'll be able to go back and check your scan
history i believe until um july of last year when we made some significant updates on the back end.
So you'll be able to see where you scanned,
kind of how many points you got, et cetera.
There's been updates to the picture-in-picture mode.
So you'll be able to scan while you're using other apps.
And it's a bit more seamless than it was in the past.
And then a big, big one that I know many people have been asking for
for a long time is custom usernames.
So you will be able to customize your public username.
And then, of course, you'll be able to leave that imprint on the global leaderboard.
A few other changes as well.
as well so we have uh retired uh works and the shop um we've been wanting to really streamline
So we have retired Wux and the shop.
the app and the user journey especially ahead of hex guardians in which scanning is going to be a
key action uh that will be required as part of that model um so works and the shop have been
retired however um if you are if you did have a remaining Wux balance,
we will be getting in touch with you within 60 days to talk about how we can redeem that balance,
how you can utilize it elsewhere in the ecosystem. However, there is one thing to flag,
and that is if you did create your account utilizing a self- ID only, you will need to contact support for some assistance there
because we won't be able to identify you via email.
The crypto wallet has also been retired.
That's another thing in terms of streamlining.
And then we've also added in some updates to the scan mode.
So yeah, there will be smart mode is now the default
and only scan settings.
That removes a little bit of confusion
that we had in regards to feedback.
And then live chat is currently paused,
but we'll be coming back pending a backend update.
So yeah, make sure if you do have that app installed
that you check Google Play. I believe the rollout is staggered typically with Google have that app installed that you check google play i believe

should receive that notification in the next 24 hours so uh really really excited uh for people
to start uh scanning uh using uh our brand new world mobile app okay i think we're i think that's going to be the time today there's
one more thing mike i'm the one that's rushing to go because i need to be um in a couple of
meetings uh in fact elger boom is on the line here and usually uh one of the first things i do is i
go to sit with elger uh but i haven't even managed to get to see him yet so he he knows how busy i am
uh but when you were talking about scam for points uh there's
a piece of information missing there uh we will be looking to within the next couple of weeks to
allow people to redeem their scam for points to use the scam for points within the world mobile
ecosystem so whether that's uh towards uh the plan uh whether that's um discounts whether that's to be able to uh buy travel sims whether
that's to be able to access the up and coming new merch store and to buy things from the merch store
um i'm looking forward to manny who has a lot of a lot of points i think he's going to end up with
a lot of hats and a lot of sim cards uh but for everybody else as well it's very important to know that was developed because it's needed by world mobile it's part of the autonomy of growing
a sharing economy so do scan there'll be lots of surprises there'll be lots of treasure hunts
coming up on the map that will allow you to win more than just points and And that's all I'll say.
