using the dual monitors once again. I mean, that shouldn't cause any sort of
bandwidth issues, but I'm just trying to think of anything that would be different.
Anyways, yeah, welcome. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I did have a good weekend. I had
Duke's second birthday yesterday. He had some friends over if you missed it i
will drop one of those uh one of those photos up top it was i shall drop one of those photos up top
and then i would the funniest thing i saw yesterday was the doggy treats let me go grab i'll put i'll
i didn't post this yet i'll post it in the chat. So this is a Coffee with Captain exclusive here. This is, like, Duke is not the biggest dog, but he's, like, 70-ish pounds.
Last time I weighed, he was, like, 65, and he's bulked up a little bit since then.
So let's say about 70 pounds.
And, you know, for people that have small dogs, he's a huge dog.
And, you know, for people that have small dogs, he's a huge dog.
And then one of his buddies, Teddy, who is a golden doodle, came over.
And they can play pretty, you know, like not aggressively is not the right word because they're really our friends.
But they will get, you know, kind of roughhoused a little bit.
And Teddy is like twice the size of Duke.
He's no joke, like 130-pound golden doodle, biggest golden gold dude I've ever seen. Like I've seen big golden noodles. This guy is not only tall, but he's also, uh, very, the treats got, got shown.
And so on the top is Teddy's dog treats on the,
in the middle is Duke's and then on the bottom is, uh,
poor Hito who, um, is a small little dog you see pictured there. Uh,
fun day yesterday for Duke and, uh, his birthday celebration. And, um, Saturday was good as well. Uh, enjoyed a fun, fun day yesterday for Duke and, uh, his birthday celebration.
Saturday was good as well.
that we'll be returning to,
some great ceviche and a wahoo ceviche in particular,
short rib that quite literally falls off the bone and melts
in your mouth so hope everyone enjoyed the valentine's day weekend uh if you didn't i hope
i mean use it as inspiration motivation to get out there and touch grass and
converse with real human beings yeah fun fun doggy play date. Definitely had a good time yesterday. And here is, if you're
watching the video stream, let me share on screen here what I was just describing.
Was pretty comical. Small, medium, large. Google Chrome has accessed your screen in system audio 7,781 times in the past 30 days.
You can manage this in settings.
Speaking of small, medium, large, 7,000, I don't know, that's the first time I've ever
gotten that notification or warning, 7,781 times accessing my stuff.
Seems a bit extreme, but maybe that's normal.
I don't know, you tell me.
Has anyone else got that warning?
First time, literally first time ever seeing that.
But I guess fitting to talk about,
we will be talking about today,
not just OpenClaw getting acquired by OpenAI.
And I hope Peter, that acquisition came,
the acquisition hopefully it started with a B
based on his quick run in over the last,
It is, and what, you know,
some of the other valuations and money,
especially these AI companies are throwing it,
not just product, but just talent.
I mean, it was, I think more than rumored last year
that like Meta was hiring top AI talent
for north of a hundred million a year,
like MBA contracts for AI developers.
So when you talk about a developer
who Sam Altman called a genius,
who's not only smart and clearly understands how to build and create an AI, but has built
arguably the most, you know, from an AI agent standpoint, arguably the best tool we've seen yet,
certainly the most used, the most GitHub contributions, et cetera, et cetera.
I would be shocked if it was anything less than a billion.
And I see Joey in the chat talking peptides in Von Fronten firing back that Wall Street.
Just Ozempic, just the gut peptides is what hedge funds are saying.
The sales teams need to lean into their gut.
And Ozempic is preventing that.
I'm quoting here. Actually, I can just pull it up on. He shared the link. So I will pull this up on
chat. We got a few more minutes to call it open. So why not talk all things peptides? This is also
my attempt to invoke Joey to join the conversation. I kid. You're welcome to join us. Anyone's
welcome to join us. It is an open show here on Coffee with Captain. And if you ever welcome to join us it is a it is an open show here on coffee with captain and if you ever
want to join the conversation feel free to throw a request come up on stage or drop it in the drop
your thoughts feelings questions in the chat down below or over on youtube chat or abstract chat
we will do our best to get to all those throughout the show today um ozimbix got coded and then um
a friend i'm not going to out him because i i don't this might be a hipaa violation
but one of our friends got bit by a bird yesterday feeling real connected to anything And a friend, I'm not going to out him because I don't, this might be a HIPAA violation,
but one of our friends got bit by a bird yesterday, feeling real connected to anything to do with beaks.
What, what, were you trying to feed said bird?
Were you, I don't know, like, were you just running and the bird got, was it a crow?
I'm watching Shrinking is, I've got a grudges. I'm watching Shrinking. I've got a couple episodes
left to catch up on Shrinking. And there's a scene in there, not spoiling anything, but
one of the patients talks about a crow that held grudges. This is what we were just referencing,
though. GLP is getting banned by hedge funds, maybe by sales teams too. Ozympic is bad for
business. A few months ago, someone told me that they heard a rumor
that a bank or hedge fund had banned its traders from taking Ozempic,
Wegovy, and other GLP-1 weight loss drugs. The theory, as I understood it, was something like,
traders need to make quick decisions based on gut instinct, and GLP-1s mess with your gut
instincts. You're not hungry for snacks. You're not hungry for profits.
Could just be a rumor, but I do think your intuition, your gut instinct is real.
I once had a mentor tell me successful people make decisions very quickly, lean into their
gut, make decisions very quickly, and they change their minds fairly slowly.
their minds fairly slowly they will they're open to changing their minds especially when presented
They're open to changing their minds, especially when presented new information.
new information but uh leaning into your gut is it's your some say it's your second brain uh joey
gm uh not not fighting all peptides but we're fighting ozempic and weight loss drugs today for
the traders out there is that what brought you up or something else on your mind this morning
that has to be a troll i mean that that has to
be a troll they can't be serious right like they can't they can't be they can't say that because
people want to lose weight they lose their gut instinct like who wrote this where's this article
um oh i just had it pinned up top but it was i i think they're serious i don't think uh
i didn't read it as a joke. It could be,
all GLP ones do is they're just,
they cut out what they call food noise.
So like the desire to want to,
we have this problem where like you go out to eat and you pay, you said, like snack and overeat, right? Like in America, we have this problem where like you go
out to eat and you pay, you know, $25 for a bowl of pasta. That's twice as big as what it needs to
be because the restaurant wants to make you spend $25 instead of $15 for a serving. And most
Americans will sit down and eat that whole bowl of pasta, right? GLPs will prevent you from doing that.
So I don't understand how that's at all connected to somebody's intuition.
That instinct is intuition.
So I don't see how losing weight and not overeating is connected to your like intuition.
I agree also on the eating less.
Am I saying that right? The Japanese Venn diagrams? Is that right?
Do you know what I'm talking about, Joey?
I know what a Venn diagram is. I'm not sure if you're pronouncing the name correctly.
Ikigai is the Japanese secret to long and healthy life. It's the focus on what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you could be paid for. And what hits the middle of that Venn
diagram is your Ikigai. I think I'm pronouncing that right. I think I'm pronouncing it right,
but anytime I question if I'm pronouncing something right or not, I usually end up leaning
to the wrong pronunciation. Anyways, I'm pretty sure, I mean, that book talks about flow state. It also talks about living a long,
happy life. And one of the things is they find in a lot of these, not just Japan, but a lot of
these blue zones, the norm is people eat not until they're full, but until like 80% full,
you know, arbitrary number, I think, but basically like you stop eating before you're full is the
TLDR. And I hear you. I also, that food noise, it's cutting some desire off. It's cutting
something off in your brain. And I don't know, maybe it's a reach, maybe it's a troll,
but I can see there's some connection there to being less i don't say less driven but
yeah less less motivated less driven less of a um feeling the need to go go harder or all in
uh and also who's buying 25 bowls of pasta paint s and then in counter otis says
yeah geoda said i wish a bowl of pasta only cost 25 in these parts i like
i appreciate like i'm a i guess a foodie i appreciate good food and enjoy a good dining
experience that said like it's gotten extreme like i'm not gonna sit here and vent or rant
about inflation but you used to be able
to go out and have a really nice dinner for two for say a hundred bucks. And I don't live in New
York City or Miami. And it's challenging now to go out and have a nice restaurant and have a dinner
for two of less than $200. If you're adding drinks, like you're looking at like a $300 ticket after, after tip it's, it is, um, very real that,
yeah, I'm, can I find a bowl of pasta for less than 25 bucks? I'm sure I can, but all in it's,
um, yeah, food, food inflation is, is very, so much so that I'm actually now in the market for a half or a quarter of a cow. If anyone knows, I know it's the wrong time of the year.
I've done that before. I've got a great company someone wants to split a half a cow, I'm in the market.
My cousin actually raised his cattle and my mom and brother last year.
And then this year, they already have an order in, but I missed the window.
He needs to know, he's a small private farm.
He needs to know in September, October, basically the order so that he can buy the calves
or enough make sure he has enough calves for the this coming year and i didn't i didn't even think
about it until january february so i look up look up hawk creek hawk creek cattle company that's
where i got my whole cal from um at the at like in like april of last year okay it's like a four month lead time
reserve a spot um but that's where i got a whole i split it with three people we got a whole cow
i took half they each took a quarter um i drove four hours to go pick it up
um in a bunch of coolers it comes frozen but look up haw creek cattle company cool you appreciate
it i'm down to put it with you we can make it happen yeah no it looks like jacksonville area is that right yeah it's like right outside of daytona
pretty much good i'll i'll i'll kill two birds with one stone i'll go back for um uh that's
where i got my my botox so i'll go back for a second round of botox and pick up a cow we'll
kill two birds with one stone on the trip to jacksonville um otis yeah supply chain gets expensive when everything has to get to the top of oh he lives
in the mountains i get it uh yeah that probably adds even even on top of inflation um supply chain
stuff and talking about it i was actually just injecting a glp3 so it's funny we're talking
about this right now this is probably the best argument against uh glp what what is the
what does the numerology mean what is it i have no idea i know a glp1 is the weight loss drug but
what why is that a one what is the three what what help me understand the the vernacular glp1
does one thing it cuts out the food noise suppresseses your appetite. A GLP three does three things, cuts out the food noise, regulates glucagon, which is connected
to like, you know, glucose and insulin production.
Um, and then it also is a, like a thermogenic fat burner.
So that's what a GLP three is.
So like reddit trutide is a GLP three.
And that's what like all the, pretty much all the fitness people are taking now, which
is the GLP three. Um, like I have a friend who's a diabetic, he's in her sixties.
He's on a GLP three to regulate, uh, his insulin. And it's, it's ready. True tide is doing an
amazing job of it. Makes sense. The Von Fronten adds, there are early studies that GLP-1s
also reduce other desires such as
desire to drink, sex, etc
it affects part of your brain that deals with
pleasure seeking of which food noise
is a part of, so if greed is
fueling your ability to trade and sell, there is some logic
I mean to me, I'm not a scientist
so what do I know? Nothing, other than what I mean, to me, I'm not a scientist.
Nothing other than what you all tell me and ChatGPT tells me and the X timeline tells me.
That's my education nowadays.
But logic and rationale says if something's inhibiting your desire for food, it's not too difficult to connect some dots where it could be mitigating your desire for other pleasure seeking things, gambling, eating, uh, sex. Again, I don't know, but it's, I, I don't, I,
I think that's, there's enough logic there that I don't think it was necessarily a troll post.
And is it, is it accurate? I don't know. Maybe not, but I could absolutely see some hedge funds
saying, Hey, we want sharks out there. We don't want you, you know, um, you lose your desire for anything.
Otis probably has the best counter to this in saying the eighties trad five vets
would disagree on the suppressed appetite theory. Uh, there was a particular,
non-pharmaceutical that was very popular in the 80s in Wall Street.
So I've been told, never experienced that myself.
But while it would drive energy and, I don't know, it also suppressed appetite, so they say.
say um atari welcome to the stage not putting you on the spot you don't have to talk about 80s
Atari, welcome to the stage.
Not putting you on the spot.
um uh trad five vets and what they use to enhance their performance uh whatsoever feel free to go
whichever direction you'd like welcome to the stage gm hope you had a good weekend hey what's
up man uh always try to join in whenever i can uh with you always a good show. So yeah, I wanted to hop on on the Reddit True Tide convo.
I'm not any kind of expert,
but I just dropped a YouTube video,
this guy, Dr. Trevor Bachmeier in your comments.
I'm not sure if you guys have heard of him.
He gives like an hour breakdown of the science
and every study behind Reddit True Tide
and why weight loss is just kind of like a benefit that's not
actually the primary goal. Interesting. Yeah, they consider it like a firmware for your update for
your metabolism. I started it a week ago. I do not feel any, besides I could care less about eating,
I don't feel any hindrance in my my mind i'm still just as sharp
with my instincts um i know a lot of people on it that are really smart people i'm not i mean
there could be all sorts of issues with this shit in the future i'm not like claiming it's
but uh i don't know man i can't really get behind the uh it blocks i mean think about how many
tradified traders are going on binges and smoking weed and doing all sorts of weird shit like this
is not like a psychoactive drug.
But I do understand your point where you're saying it could block a receptor in the brain.
I have a hard time getting behind that.
Ivan Fronten adds, not to get scientific, but GLP-1s only affect one gut hormone.
GLP-retro-gut-retro-, retratrugat is a triple antagonist affecting
three separate gut hormones, GLP, GIP, and glucagon. We're getting big brained here on the
show. Mayhem does double down on 80s had a great appetite suppressant that actually drove the
ambition and greed, the white one we were referencing a few minutes ago. And Zane asks, whatever happened to just eating at a caloric deficit?
How do we go from that to injecting things in our body?
I'm not shaming anyone that wants to inject things into their body or wants to lean into
these, I don't know what you're going to call it, like, you know,
performance enhancers or whatever,
I think the easiest way to lose weight is simply eat at a caloric
I don't think it's that difficult.
I understand it's difficult for some people. I'm not shaming anyone. Be healthy is more important,
but I do think most people don't even make the effort to eat at a caloric deficit.
And it's, I don't know. It was my journey. It worked easy for me. I lost 25, 30 pounds of fat in a matter
of a month or two, simply when I decided to flip the switch. And I was like, I'm going to burn more
calories than I congest every day. And I'm just going to go work out every day. I'm going to make
sure I'm moving 20 minutes at minimum every day. And it was easy. And then I just stayed at it.
But again, I'm not to each their own, although I'm like anti-needles.
I was having a conversation actually with my mother's daughter, who's in the fitness industry.
And one of her colleagues has a peptide startup that's crushing it.
But it's all 100% injectables. And I just,
I don't like needles. I don't, I don't, I've puked before getting my blood drawn.
Uh, just, I'm very soft when it comes to, uh, needles, but, um, that's, that's a me thing.
It's not everyone's thing. So if you like, if you don't mind injections and you want to assist
your health journey, I think doing something is better than
not doing anything. Doing something is better than just, and you know, some people have attempted
the caloric deficit. Some people attempted working out, it just doesn't stick. And I,
to which I say, get in shape, do what works for you. I don't care. I'm not going to judge.
And because there are some people who judge, oh, they're, they're taking the,
they're on a Zip, who cares? Like, worry about yourself. And
I'm never going to shame someone for getting healthy, healthier, however they do that.
Otis adds, or you can just go to Tijuana and get tapeworm in a pill. I didn't know that was a thing,
but parasites, I'd probably be more concerned about making sure I don't have any parasites in me than I do injecting peptides.
But Joey, I know you just said you injected something, but you're also taking some peptides that are not injectables, like they're still pill form and you feel they're just as effective or am I misremembering?
Yeah, so I'm sure Payne's loving this, so I'll be as quick as possible.
I'm sure Payne's loving this, so I'll be as quick as possible.
As somebody who works out five days a week and eats in a caloric deficit,
some of us, it just doesn't get us where we want to go.
I was 210 and stuck at 210, and now I'm 198.
It's simple to say eat at a caloric deficit,
but if you're not, quote-unquote, overweight, eating at a caloric deficit, but if you're not, if you're not quote unquote overweight, eating a caloric deficit sometimes isn't enough because you
don't have a lot to lose.
And then to answer your question, there are pills, there's, you could aspirate them, which
is you put them in something like a, you know, like a, like what, like an Afrin bottle.
So you could aspirate them and just like do like a,
like up your nose, which is really simple. Um, or you can do the pill form. Not all are available in pill form. The problem with the pill form though, is like anything you've ever, you know,
like anybody tells you anything, right? Like vitamins, anything in it that you ingest typically is far less effective because
stomach acid, digestive track, all that stuff. So it's not recommended to get a lot of these
in pill form because you're just essentially throwing money away because they're not as
effective as injectable. But yes, some of them are available in, um, in pill form. But I, the second best way,
if you're not an injectable person is to aspirate and not even, and not all of them are available
through aspiration, right? Because certain things have to be absorbed in your body in a specific way.
Fair. Um, I see we've got, we'll go back. Oh, we lost Atari. Atari, if you wanted to get in and
X, it bounced Joey a few minutes ago as well. So not sure what's again, X, we're just going to power through it. I'll stop commenting on it, but it said, we've talked about pivoting to
Peptides with Captain doesn't quite roll
off the tongue, but it is,
it might actually help our YouTube subs
segment. Speaking of segments, we are going to bring back an AI
segment here in the near future.
Bunchy, while he's busy and can't join us every week,
he'll pop in from time to time.
And something that is just, it's too close. It really does mean a lot of what's happening in the world of AI and AI
agents is absolutely happening on chain. I've got a few Ethereum takes per the title on spaces that
we'll talk about here in a minute, a bit. But Tariq, welcome to the stage. Not a whole lot,
but if you could do like lightning round on, assuming you came up for the peptide or health conversation,
go ahead and get in here and then we'll move on to market update
and everything else happening in crypto and AI.
GM, man, how are you everybody?
Sorry for the noise in front of me, but I am in the balcony
and the house is cleaning up and I can't go in.
Yo, talk. So you're good, we can hear you. Okay, good, good. So, I, like, I am pharmacist when I hear GLP and people taking it, I really love to hear people about this, but, like, GLP 3 is the first time seeing people even taking this it's like
it's experimentable it's it's like I never seen anyone taking it but GLP 1 is
it's a fast way to lose weight like I never give it to any person even if
someone give me a like some medical to give to lose weight, I never give him because I'm sorry, it's not a good way to lose weight.
It's the first way to lose weight and in the end you will feel sad because you will not reach what you want.
You will feel sad because you will not reach what you want and you can eat healthy and make it better.
It will take one year, two years, but it's better than taking GLP because it's not the good way to take it.
Yeah, like people, I think people, they're taking cosmetic.
Like, I don't think like it's 300 400 it depends
on the uh contrary but it's not the good way yep i appreciate adding to the combo as always
not only never any financial advice never any medical advice on the show we're not doctors
so definitely speak to your own physician uh and uh and do what's best for you and your body.
And again, we're not judging people that you want to inject things in your body.
No, no, no. Never judging anyone.
If they want to do it, do it.
I have a lot of my friends do it because they have a little overweight because there are 150 kilograms.
It's good for them if it's good for them if if they feel good for them but i don't like people getting medic medicines or any drugs for it's like it's
not necessary because it's not good it's at the end it's a drug got it um thanks again for coming
up atari we'll be back to you and then we
will get into market update yeah real quick just had a couple more last points um it's definitely
a cheat code hopping on one of these and i think some people like you sound like a very disciplined
dude a cap i mean you show up to the show every day five days a week for how many years you know
for how long um so i i think some people need that edge of that start like i i hopped on it a week for how many years, you know, for how long. So I think some people need that edge of
that start. Like I hopped on it a week ago. I'm not going to stay on this shit long, the red or
true tide, but it really, it really just, it switches up everything. And there has been a
bunch of Harvard studies and there is a bunch of medical studies on red or true tide. It's not FDA approved. I hear what you're saying with the, you know, whatever.
But yeah, so there is a bunch of testing on it. I really encourage you guys to watch that video I
posted in the comments. The guy breaks it down. He, you know, he breaks down all the myths and
everything goes, he's, you know, breaks everything down on a molecular level. And yeah, I mean,
I take BPC-157 and TB-500. I have arthritis and it really helps with
my tendons and ligaments. So, but yes, there's risks to everything. I'm just, and yeah, the
needle thing, bro, the little, you know, insulin needles are so tiny. You don't, you don't really,
you get used to it, but yeah, I'm just pretty excited. Oh, last thing, make sure if you're,
for anybody that's interested in the red or true tides, non-medical advice,
make sure you also get yourself like a super B complex with choline
Really important to take while you're on, especially doing the fasting and everything.
Yeah, I, you know, fasting is, appreciate the kind words.
I would like to think I am, I can be disciplined.
Once I create a habit, I usually stick to it. That said, I also consume
copious amounts of caffeine and I definitely have vices and unhealthy things in my life.
And I'm not far from perfect. There's definitely things I could do better. And you actually got
me like, like I'm fine. If I want to lose weight, I confident i can lose weight but as i age it's my ligaments
and joints that are failing me like even like especially my elbows for some reason lately i
don't know what it is but it's i could be doing like ab crunches with your ab pull down things
and it hurts my elbows anyways uh enough of the the uh if they get rid of every peptide
except BPC-157 and TB-500
the world will be a better place
that shit is really like a miracle drug
more stuff, good diet and exercise
is always best, cold plunge open
I kid, but yeah, trying to get the train back on the tracks here.
We're going to save our night of seven kingdoms cold open for tomorrow when Outer joins us.
But another banger episode last night, 9.9 per IMDB, I believe.
And a lot happening over the weekend.
The big news we're going to hold for a bit was the
acquisition by OpenAI acquiring
It also, not lost on me, that
started out as CloudBot. Clouddbot went the legal route instead of the Olive Branch. One rename, and it's Maltbot. And then I think the reason he changed, I heard, I think the reason he changed from Maltbot to OpenClaw was some people sniped the handles. So GitHub and X and maybe elsewhere.
So he couldn't get all the Moldbot handles.
So he did it with more intent, more strategy behind the second name change.
And I also think that the open AI talks probably were going on for weeks.
And that was maybe part of the thesis there, whether it was open.
Worm got me. My apologies. I'm going to keep the train on the tracks. Payne, that was your fault.
That was your fault, Payne. Anyways, I digress. Looking at markets, we're going to start with
NFTs because there's a few interesting things happen in NFT land, and then we'll talk a little
bit about tokens. Tokens, I don't know how it did it, but Pippin, I'm not saying it was a crime chart, but 773 million for the Pippin token is wild.
I'm definitely not chasing that one.
But cutting calories with CAP also in range that we add a new segment there.
So we're going to full pivot, not full pivot.
We'll talk a little bit about NFTs,
but we're going to pivot into cooking with CAP,
cutting calories with CAP, cold plunge with CAP,
all the health, and we need to think about a clod with CAP,
any AI incorporation there as well.
Looking at NFT land, though, Del Mundo's,
they might've touched 0.1, just been on an absolute tear up to 0.09. This was a near
free mint not long ago, up 19% on the day, winning the NFT, the recent NFT mints. Pudgies
flat, big Pudgies up 3%, Punks flat, Apes flat, 6.15 there.
Doodles up 10% on the day to 0.51 following the Death Star bout.
Moonbirds also had their Death Star bout in.
Mutant Apes currently in the Death Star target.
target target they're 0.89 just down 0.5 percent i think a few of those have sold
They're 0.89, just down 0.5%.
I think a few of those have sold.
so deaths are definitely not decimating uh floor prices as was like the the worst worst case
scenario we might have perceived milady makers down three percent as clavic clavic clavic clavic
clavic claur i can't say the the zoomer influencer uh who's apparently being funded by peter teal
that's a whole nother story probably not going to go there. Net Citizens on MegaEth, still above mint price,
but down 21% on the day to 0.04.
And VFriends, which still doesn't get enough love on the timeline,
We mentioned Moonbirds at 1.21.
I don't know if you can see it.
Let me stop the screen share.
You get a better chance of seeing here.
In the background there is a, I forgot about these.
My daughter, who's an artist, she's probably going to be embarrassed that I'm even showing these.
These were, she did these a while ago when she was, let me flick on an overhead light.
She did these a while ago when she was like a, probably like in her early teens,
I think the two owls she got into,
she was really into owls.
And so she did the two owl pieces you see there.
I probably should have attempt to,
angle for some more burb or,
so should giving us some extra love there on the old art as I cleared out, uh, storage unit. And I kid, but not really. So giving us some extra love there on the old art as I cleared out the storage unit.
And I think that's about it.
Actually, if you want to see something else, a little, some nostalgia.
One of the, we took, when we rebranded, when we merged with a large competitor, took one of the, it wasn't the main sign, but a little lit box sign from Channel Letters box sign from channel letters that, uh, of yesteryear
phone surgeons was the brand. So you can see the stethoscope and the PS. Um, I don't, I did not
have enough to take or no, no need to hold a, like a 12 foot channel, channel letter sign that
had the whole brand, but, uh, paying homage to, uh, one to yesteryear with a lit sign. Anyways, all that said, not we're not going
to do that one hizzy. And attempting to get up. Yeah. So in addition to copious levels of caffeine,
I also consume cannabis on nearly a daily basis, although I haven't smoked for all of 2026,
probably goes back a while before that have have cut back on even that it's really
just a sleep aid for me um same with psilocybin no psilocybin in my life this year but i'm not
not opposed to that either in small everything in moderation i think that's what people get wrong
whether it's coffee which is the one thing i don't really consume in moderation although i do cut it
at noon most days but yeah i think most things in moderation are okay.
It's when people get over the top on things, substances or activities that lead to problems.
into non-market-related things.
Let me flick off the lights and we'll...
You okay over there, man?
your whole set just crashed or something.
Oh, I was, uh, it was probably the chair. You heard the chair rolling across the, uh,
across the floors. I went to go flick off the lights. Sorry. You couldn't see that if you were,
I didn't realize it was coming through as loud. I should have turned down my mic.
I'm still getting this thing figured out. Yeah. I might be consistent, but, uh, I'm not an expert
and really not that, not that great at anything. I just will work harder and be more consistent than most people.
So it's taken me 1,097 episodes to realize I should mute my mic
when I roll the chair across the floor.
Markets are, it's Monday.
So brace yourself for the sell-off.
It's been pretty consistent.
I think someone said if you just simply short a Bitcoin, you'd be up.
If you short a Bitcoin on Mondays, you'd be up something like 18 out of the last 19 weeks.
So it's down slightly today.
Look for 9.30 or so, another sell-off probably.
Bitcoin is just below 69 at 68.430. Bitcoin is just below $69 at $68,430.
ETH just below $2K at $19.73.
XRP down 2% on the day, B&B flat.
Doge did get back above $0.10 mark, but it's down 7% on the day.
And just a chop to down day pretty much across the board in majors and most tokens.
I don't know where we head from here.
Fear and greed is slowly climbing back up, and it's still extreme fear at 12.
But it was down as low as 5, So it's ticked up a little bit. I still think it's,
there's, you know, we talked about that global uncertainty index last week and I'm not,
until we have some more certainty in the world, I don't, it's hard to see some,
there's, again, let me say this, there's already tremendous tailwinds across the board for most
tremendous tailwinds across the board for most assets, not just crypto.
And things aren't sending because there's this cloud of uncertainty.
And it's hard for me to see things really sending,
even if we get other catalysts until we get more certainty in the world,
whether it's Iran or otherwise.
I'm not going to get into it.
I'm not a geopolitical expert. I'm not going to get into it. I'm not a geopolitical expert.
I'm not going to go there.
But data will show that the world's just uncertain.
And markets don't like uncertainty.
So while this bill maybe gets passed, maybe gets revised, maybe doesn't get passed.
You saw some people out of D.C. say there's trillions on the sidelines waiting to enter crypto.
I think it's also they're incentivized to get this bill passed.
So I don't know, even when it gets passed, I don't think it's just going to send the markets.
I think we just think the world needs to feel a little more certain about what's happening.
And while I think that's likely to happen,
something happens in 2026 where people feel more comfortable, more confident in markets at large.
I think this, speaking of cloud of unknown, I think the cloud of AI and the unknown,
the uncertainty with what happens next or what happens next year or next five years
is going to hang out there for a while. I just don't know
until there's confidence that we're not going to enter Skynet, the robots aren't going to take
over the world and eliminate all jobs. They just did revise jobs down a million jobs. The revision
was down a million jobs, which is not great. It's
jobs are going to be needed. Look at
Yeah, sorry. If X is bugging out
they have 30 employees over there.
has been really challenging over the last week.
We're not going to stop streaming.
We're not going to stop doing the audio spaces.
It is just, it's been a challenge.
So while this is our main location, our main platform for the live show,
I would encourage all of you to go check out YouTube.
Go sub over there if you haven't. The chat, it just doesn all of you to go check out YouTube, go sub over there if you
haven't, the chat. It just doesn't, from StreamYard, YouTube seems pretty consistent. It's not buggy.
It doesn't trip out. And a good place to, especially if you have YouTube premium and you
can minimize the app and do your multitasking. Personally, I prefer listening to the audio
spaces if I'm tuning in, because I can have
My phone can go on, uh, you know, the screen, say not screensaver, whatever they, when the
phone just goes, goes dark.
Um, it doesn't have the screen on, uh, YouTube body will cut out when that happens X, if
you don't have premium, X will not.
So I personally understand and prefer X audio.
I just wish they would, whatever they're doing.
And they're making, apparently making some big moves.
It looks like they're really leaning into the Everything app,
And I think we'll see some new stuff coming online soon.
I just hope they don't forget about some of their legacy products.
Yeah, I can't even get post-to-load right now on X.
So it's amazing that we haven't rugged.
I shouldn't even said the word out loud because we got rugged on Friday for the first time in like a year, maybe longer.
So hopefully that doesn't happen.
If we do lose X, while I will spin up another audio spaces,
my recommendation, just scroll up top, head to YouTube.
You can see the, oh man, you can't even see it.
I'm not even getting the Jumbotron.
Joey or Atari, do you see the Jumbotron up top?
You asked me if we can see it up there?
Yeah, I can see it up there, but it has been like, I've had to minimize the spaces and then refresh my feed and then come back to the spaces.
It's been not opening all the way sometimes.
Yeah, spaces aren't even refreshing.
I just tried to do that, FYI.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat.
I'm not going to, obviously, I can't close because that would rub the space.
But yeah, I can in the same boat. I'm not going to, obviously I can't close because that would rub the space. But yeah, I can't even see the, I'm hosting.
I can't even see the Jumbotron.
And there's definitely some things posted up there.
So I guess if you missed it and you haven't yet, this is your, this is shame on you for
not subscribing to YouTube already.
You would know where we're at.
But if I'm all serious, if you just go to YouTube and search Coffee with Captain, you
should be able to find it.
There's one other coffee with captain,
I don't think he's posted a few years.
So we should now be indexing above that,
you should be able to find us.
coffee with captain over there,
We'll keep powering through my apologies.
I don't know what's going on,
but it's, uh, X is, X is having a case of the Mondays.
Catching up with Captain's, or Jesus, catching up with comments in the YouTube chat.
Teacher Katie threw me off when she said girthy, question mark, question mark, question mark.
I was talking about my dog.
And actually, my dog's friend, Teddy, is girthy.
Dog is girthy, just his body.
Get your head out of the gutter, Katie.
Mastermat says, I guess the question is, where does your intuition come from?
Lots of data to show the importance of the gut-brain connection.
And that's the last comment on the health sub.
Yeah, essentially, everyone is locked out of X right now.
So the true ones, the real ones that came here early today, you get health sub. Yeah. Essentially everyone is locked out of X right now. So the, the true ones,
the real ones that came here early today, uh,
Everyone else is probably not going to be able to find us.
it looks like X might just be down,
Husker says the X space is fine,
but my stream isn't refreshing right now.
I'm not sure if that's just because I'm on a,
um, there's definitely something going on with X.
I don't know what it is, but it's, yeah, it's not you.
It's not your plain wifi. I mean, I guess it could be, but, um,
X is, um, not cooperating this morning,
which is unfortunate because there are some other X things I would like to,
um, uh, like to hit on. Uh,
Zane says YouTube premium is the only subscription I'll never give up.
Best $15 a month he spends. Help me understand why, Zane, because I personally don't watch
YouTube like the kids watch YouTube. I'm not knocking it. If I'm consuming content, if it's video form, I will
most often watch, I get in bed, I watch Netflix or Amazon Prime. If I'm consuming content during
the day, I want to consume audio content. And so podcast, X spaces, I guess you're going to tell me,
well, you can consume that audio content
much easier using youtube premium than not having youtube premium and i i saw something i'm trying
to rewind my brain because i saw someone recently watching something on youtube on their tv that was
like these these zoomers again i can't remember what it was, it may come back to me,
but I had that conscious thought recently,
maybe I should start consuming more content from YouTube.
I do think this is part of the generational gap
that I just, obviously been a YouTube consumer since launch,
but my YouTube time probably pales in comparison
to any other streaming platforms
when it comes to video consumption consumed. Although if I'm going to talk about Zane and
challenge his YouTube premium take, I will shout out his, well, I'm not sure if it's public,
so I'm not going to make a connection. I'll just say this. I did watch a youtube show recently uh that was a cooking show i'm dropping some hints here we are
we are leaning into cooking cooking with captain soon and uh so this cooking show featured uh
olympic dishes so like dishes breakfasts from all around the world nine out of ten the the section
i watch it was tied as the top rated breakfast in the world
hails from venezuela in particular the arepas it's not just me cooking experts are saying this
they're a green uh co-host or or a uh personality that's also on the show was rocking in a rapist
t-shirt yeah so zane is is a client he's working with zane draw it's it's nick is the
creator what's the channel i i should know this uh i did watch it i promise i watch it i just
my my brain isn't fully functioning yet the full name of the channel uh but yeah drop it we were
talking about it in the war room zane's worlds were colliding over the weekend and um uh yeah
if you're still sleeping on a rapist, you apparently don't care about my recommendations.
It is real alpha, and especially the homemade variety.
There's, like many things, there's a range on these things, and some you might find in a restaurant aren't quite as good as the homemade variety.
Nick, man, these names nowadays.
What happened to Nick Smith?
Nick DiGiovanni. I know it just
sounded extremely gringo-ish there by struggling, I'm guessing an Italian name. But yeah, Nick
Digiovanni is the YouTube personality I was referencing. And Joe adds, Zane's correct,
YouTube Premium is the best subscription. Again, why? Why do you feel it's
the best subscription? What do you get out of YouTube premium other than no ads? What makes it
so valuable? The fact that you can minimize it and still listen? That to me is more valuable than
ads, quite frankly. I don't care. I can tune out because I listen to things at one and a half X or two X and I'll fast forward through an ad, you know, most things by, whether it's a podcast or, um,
yeah, I guess Apple, Spotify, if, if an ad comes on, I just,
I hit the fast forward 30 second button like three or four times.
And by now, because it's usually, I listen to reoccurring content.
I know if they do one ad that's 30 seconds or one ad that's 60 seconds,
or if it's like, if by chance I tune into a Lex Friedman podcast, I did listen to partial, not the whole one, but I listened to part of the one he did with Peter from Open Claw recently.
And Lex is up to like 15 minutes of ads to open the show, but he's got a good, it's easy to just to skip through.
And, you know, anyways, is that it?
Is that the value is just being able to minimize it
and still hear like well there's a bunch more stuff you get what youtube music you get what
okay that's what joe added in the chat as well prefers youtube music so i guess that's what is
youtube music is because i just thought of videos is it like you're creating playlists like you might with
spotify is like so you're you're listening to music on youtube music over spotify or apple
music because if that's the case my i mean my spotify subscription for a family now is up to
like it might be like 28 i don't know it's one of those subscriptions that i don't i know it's
on auto sub i know i'm paying for but i also use it however i probably should reevaluate things like
spotify and netflix even the now again for a family sub it's 28 bucks for Netflix. I'm old
enough to remember that was like seven 99 a month. And, um, so yeah, I guess, I guess that's my
question. What else? And, and so specifically to YouTube music, is it that you use YouTube music
instead of Spotify, Joey? I don't know. I don't have YouTube premium. I'm not a big YouTube person. Um, but I know that you, you also get like cross device. So like, if you start something
on one device, you can then resume it on another device from like the same place.
I believe you could also do like offline videos so you can download, you can, I believe you can
download. So like, let's say
you were watching a pot, like you were watching something and you were on an airplane with no
wifi. If you have YouTube premium, I believe you can download whatever it was you were watching
and be able to continue watching it. Right. Uh, like, like Netflix has that, right. We're like
some episodes, some things you can download, um um and watch without internet um and then uh higher i believe i believe there's also like you get a higher bit rate
as well um which i don't think that really matters that wouldn't really matter to me but
i would imagine if you're like you know everybody has their music preference like i use amazon music
because it's free it's included in my amazon Prime subscription, so I don't pay for a music service.
So I would imagine YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, all these different music services
are just personal preference, is my guess.
Yes, and my takeaway is this, is the reason why YouTube Premium is, I guess in some, maybe
it is in addition to, but my biggest takeaway, it's
instead of, you're getting more, if you're paying for a music sub, whether it's Apple or Spotify,
you're probably spending money on music that you wouldn't have to if you go YouTube or Amazon
or, you know, Amazon music, assuming you're an Amazon Prime member. That's the subscription I
up is amazon prime there's so much about it because i i mean just today i'm i'm gonna place
an order that's free same day shipping like that to me is easily justify the i don't know 100 150 because everyone's X is nuked.
I'm just dropping the YouTube link
for those that don't have it in the war room.
Several people just said that completely nuked,
lost audio on spaces, Mike said,
and X is completely nuked,
wouldn't load anything, quit, came back,
removed the app, and sold.
PFP gone, no followers. I'm not following anyone. Posts won't load. Account name is still there. Groups are there,. Couldn't load anything quick. Came back, removed the app and sold PFP gone. No followers.
I'm not following anyone.
Account name is still there.
but won't new load new content.
I don't think it's your wifi Husker.
There are a lot of people are having X door ads.
This is maybe the real reason X is down.
a personality who remain nameless because I don't want to give more,
the most notorious botter on this app.
And botting has led to even more clout and reposts by influential people.
Namely, the owner of this app says he's posting the Epstein files right now, coincidentally.
So they just decided they couldn't stop him.
So they just shut the whole app down.
I kid, but not really um husker was going to cancel amazon prime because they essentially get the same with
walmart plus and it's free with amx platinum is it the same as walmart plus i don't know i i've
never been a walmart plus user i struggle to think it's the exact same as amazon prime maybe i'm wrong i'm open being
wrong there but yeah but with your prime subscription you also get amazon prime movies
and tv and live tv for free and you get amazon music for free so i don't believe walmart has a
streaming service with thousands upon thousands of movies and TV shows, as well as live TV.
So I don't know if I would say it's the same.
We're going to land this plane and pull it all together with AI.
Is that the next frontier?
You saw a lot of wireless companies.
I think it's T-Mobile now.
You get YouTube Premium for free or Disney Plus for free or maybe Netflix, maybe all the above with a wireless
subscription. I wonder how
introducing ads, but they say it's not going to be a core
part of the product. Claude is against ads.
the value for premium subs
is very real. The $200 threshold
developers in the world and corporations. If you're a power user, it makes sense. Like the $200 threshold is attracting the best developers in the world and
corporations. And if you're a power user, it makes sense. Even the $20 a month makes sense.
I wonder if we see that as the next bundle where if you're a, I mean, you already got to,
you already see it with OpenAI and, excuse me, and Claude really, I guess for that matter,
we're getting access to other things.
Today, it's mostly in the realm of AI.
I wonder if it's, oh, in the future, your OpenAI sub also gets you OpenAI music or access to, I don't know. I don't think it's going to be Netflix, but I wonder what kind of, like Spotify just said, I can't remember where I saw it or
heard it, but Spotify had their biggest year ever last year in terms of new feature updates.
And not one of those features was coded manually. All their engineers are using their
vibe coding or using AI to write the code. I wonder, like they have to be feeling pressure too, the streaming services,
the streaming platforms. It's not just SaaS companies. It's not just ephemeral software.
It's content. And IP matters. Copyrights matter. They're not going away. But I just wonder how
close we are to these big LLMs, to bundling in some of these
other services that people are paying for. And that's a hook for customer acquisition.
Hey, we know X million, hundreds of million users pay X monthly for... Think about it.
More people, I think, pay for Netflix at 2828 a month or whatever the fees are than they do OpenAI or ChatGPT or OpenAI or Claude.
Probably not the best use of funds.
We're talking about most bang for your buck in subscriptions.
Yeah, I just haven't had this thought, but I wonder how close we are to bundled subscriptions when it comes to LLMs.
close we are to bundled subscriptions when it comes to LLMs. And Joey, we'll go to Joey and
then Atari next. But before I do so, I did get a full eight bullet points on why YouTube premium.
YouTube premium. One, ad-free. So I'm consuming a lot of YouTube. I don't use other social media
apps and YouTube is the best search engine. I agree with that. YouTube music is superior.
Wider selection overlaps with my YouTube and Pocket Cast.
I do not use other music apps. So follow up on that. Can you, I guess then it's all,
basically all music that you would consume on Spotify or Apple music is also available on YouTube and you can also create the playlists and very similar to Spotify, I'm guessing.
Correct me if that's an incorrect assumption. Three, all search on this account links and YouTube algo is
the most responsive of any algo. That's interesting. Four, stream is prioritized. Five, using 50 gigs
a month on phones, YouTube. I have my video downloads, music and music list downloads,
custom playlists. Okay, you answered the question. Six, I use a specific platform to generate notes
on videos. Ads free is the way to go with that. And YouTube also has the best movie as a movie selection.
I was today years old. I learned that YouTube, you're talking like full,
full feature length movies on YouTube. I did not know this was a thing. I just thought it was like clips of movies and highlights. And minimize and run past me in the background. I do agree. That's
when I had it in the past, that's the biggest value I took out of YouTube premium was be able
to minimize it and run it passively as most time I'm consuming anything, I'm multitasking, and it's much harder to do if you have to keep the app open.
Although most of my work is done at the computer and the desktop, and so I can throw it on another tab and no worries.
But if I'm walking the dog, for instance, I do agree.
Yes, you can watch full feature-length movies.
I had no idea this was a length movies. I had no idea this
was a real thing. I had no idea YouTube had full movies. So today I learned, and today I probably
became, I got sold, if nothing else. Despite X issues today, X generated, actually these X issues
directly generated $15 a month in revenue for me to become a YouTube subscriber. I wonder too,
if it has anything to do with, on a creator standpoint,
if there's any boost for being a sub as well.
I wonder, should I sub from the Coffee with Captain account
instead of my personal account?
Anyone knows, is there any connection there?
Yeah, Mel, X is just down.
If you can find the space, congratulations,
you won 100 points today.
I don't know what's going on.
Hopefully they get it figured out sooner than later though.
It hurts, especially when you're talking.
I mean, fortunately we have sponsors who are understanding and great partners and they're long-term partners.
But fortunately we don't have like an interview today, a sponsored interview today.
That would be, we'd have to run it back.
It would not be fair to them.
But appreciate all the love here regardless.
And it says with Walmart, you get Paramount Plus for free.
Paramount or Peacock with Walmart Plus.
Those two are at the bottom of the streaming list.
It says, we have Peacock for SNL, a show or two, and recently canceled Paramount.
Yeah, I'm not big on channel subs.
I saw Cheezus jump back in.
Cheezus, after the next topic, we're going to go to Joey and then Atari.
And Joey, I am going to do a quick coffee refill.
So if you don't mind, if you get done and I'm not back yet, hand it to Atari.
And then when I get back, we are going to talk.
We're going to keep things moving with actual market stuff, I promise.
I've got some pretty bullish ETH takes and then Jesus,
what I was going to invoke you for is the ZEET creator cards.
I think you've got some time,
but the window might be closing to be early to ZEET.
And some people I've seen some takes,
it's just the next fantasy top.
I'm not disclosing any inside info or anything like that.
I think they're doing some things really different.
Maybe there's nothing to come of it.
But right now, you can go build a deck.
You can go collect creator cards.
You can go participate for free.
And these are the types of things in crypto, if you're an active participant,
when you can participate with just a little bit of your time and little to no capital,
it wouldn't be the first time we saw something that became a tremendous financial win.
And maybe this isn't. Maybe it ends up being everyone stops talking about it a few weeks
from now. I don't think that's going to be the case.
They're really doing some things differently.
I am an advisor for Z, so there is some bias baked in there.
The reason I agreed to be an advisor is because they're doing things differently.
is because they're doing things differently.
It's not just another InfoFi platform.
I think some of the stuff they started doing
pre-Black Tuesday or whatever the day was
that they nerfed all of InfoFi,
a lot of the other InfoFi platforms
also started to copy or attempt to replicate
because it was different.
And I did not enjoy the AI slop
that InfoFi brought to the timeline.
I do think there's absolutely something there.
I don't think any of them really nailed it yet.
And now it's going to have to be a different form factor than what the route it was heading.
But I am genuinely excited about Z, the creator cards.
And I think it's going to be fun.
I was going back and forth with NFT brands and alignment.
I was going back and forth with NFT brands and alignment.
I thought I might get spicy.
I chose not to go there this morning on not all,
but many of the NFT brands, especially the legacy brands,
and just their overall lack of utility and perks for their holders.
I think many of them, they aren't even as good as many Web2 loyalty programs.
Probably not going to go there today,
but I will say from an alignment standpoint
they're sharing in royalties with these cards.
Again, they're free today.
There's going to be packs
and the alignment from brand to creator
to participant slash holder,
they're at least making the effort.
They're at least making an attempt
to do some things differently
and align every level. And that's exciting to me. I'm not saying they're going to nail it.
It could be a nothing burger. But I just, it was part of what got me so excited about
crypto participant, and in particular NFT participant, is
when you ask an NFT P&P brand, why should I buy and hold this NFT?
You used to get five or six very good reasons to where now it's like, oh,
We don't want to touch that. It's a collectible. Okay. So basically, I can buy something and hold
it for years and speculate that maybe number goes up. That's fine. And for some, that'll work. Some
are really doing a great job on building communities of collectors. That's cool.
I just don't understand why so many of them now are seemingly allergic
to utility and perks, but we're going to put that on ice for a bit. We may come back into the NFT,
PFP conversation, but I definitely want to talk a little bit about Z. I definitely want to talk
more bullish ETH than Bitcoin, especially some of the activity we're seeing from large funds
and TradFi. But before we go go there joey go ahead and finish
your thoughts and uh give me a little bit air cover go go and hit it to atari if you're done
before i get back and i will be right back here momentarily joey go ahead i it said it could can
you hear me can anybody hear me because i can't speak yeah i can hear you okay yeah i got you
it said could not fetch the space so i didn't know if maybe I got kicked off
Uh, and maybe I don't know if somebody has the answer to this but YouTube if if I understand this correctly
YouTube premium does not include YouTube TV because I think YouTube TV
Is something separate where?
Like I know the nfl has a deal with YouTube now where they show some games over there,
So for anybody who knows, is that a completely separate subscription
or do you get that with YouTube premium?
And then the other thing I was going to say is it's kind of funny how,
you know, we used to complain,
and this is going to sound like old man yelling at clouds, but we used to complain at how expensive cable TV was, like $200, $300 a month.
You had to add on HBO and add on Showtime and add on this and add on that.
And now we're paying anywhere from $8 to $20 a month for a streaming service, and there's 12 different streaming services we have to have now
in order to watch all these things, whether it's, you know, prime Netflix, paramount peacock,
uh, uh, YouTube, ESPN, Disney, and all this stuff. It's like crazy. And the whole thing
with streaming was there was no ads and you can watch anytime you want. And now there's
two different tiers of ads and no ads. And it's like are we like what are we doing like should we just go back
to cable at this point or what and have a a ti-vo not ti-vo what was it called the dvr or ti-vo dvr
where we could just record our shows like it's crazy go ahead i'm sorry or is Cap back? No, I'm back. Go ahead.
Oh, yeah. Can you not hear me? Check, check.
Yeah, yeah. We can hear you.
Yeah, I'm back. Go ahead. Go ahead, though. Atari, it's all here.
Okay. Yeah, I just actually want to just touch on that subject one more time before we switch.
First of all, yes, the YouTube TV is separate from the premium.
I can't remember the price difference,
but they just gouge you so bad and they extract you.
If you want the football plan or the basketball plan,
it's just you hit the nail on the head with just how many platforms are,
which I'm hoping that AI kind of can consolidate.
Like I was listening to Cap speak and I was like,
what if they consolidated,
if they figured out a way to consolidate a bunch of these
streaming services into one? The only thing that I'm seeing, that I'm thinking right now is it'll
become a new genre of content, like AI produced content, and maybe it'll become like a Netflix,
but of AI. I'm just yet to see any depth, like emotional depth to any of this AI.
Like, it's really sick. I just, I don't know how far it is for me to, like, watching Night of the
Seven Kingdoms, if you're still in here, Cap,
like, dude, I just got home from a
24-hour shift. I can't wait to watch that
show, and I can't imagine getting that.
We're even close to getting that kind
of emotional depth on AI, but I could
I think it's mostly today.
The new AI content is mostly clip form, brain rot type, you know, funny stuff.
But I think it's so early.
I do think like fast forward, I don't know, a year.
And I would not be surprised if we see full series and full feature length movies being created by AI.
I think a year might be generous i think we might
see it sooner than i agree with you in the current form i've not seen anything that was fully ai
created like oh this this has my attention like breaking bad or nine of seven kingdoms
or yellowstone but i i don't think i don't think we're far away from it and yeah i don't i need to flesh out this thought a little more because β or flesh out, rather.
I do think there's maybe something there from an aggregator standpoint from a β I don't personally β I don't necessarily want to be sitting down and creating my own stories with AI.
in creating my own stories with AI.
Hey, redo Star Wars with this alternate ending
or redo Game of Thrones the last season
with an alternate ending.
There's just something there that it's like,
I don't know, my brain just says it's not real.
I know none of it's real,
but it's just there's something that I haven't...
It's like when the images started coming out, there was this uncanny valley issue that's going now.
Like you can't tell the difference.
I think we're at the uncanny valley period when it comes to content, where it's like it's still easy to differentiate human-created content versus AI-created content, but I don't think that's going to last forever.
Well, actually, you got me thinking now, what is it going to look like for celebrities in two years from now?
Is it just like, and I know I'm not answering your question, but is this just going is this just gonna be like the last of them and they they send out their ip that people can
use i think i think it's i'm i'm purely speculating here i don't know there's a lot of people but
far deeper in these industries than i and much bigger brains but i think yeah i think the future
of like movie stars and and personalities that that content's created or that they create content
like that i do think it's more of like a license model and you'll see instead of
brad pitt going and making the new f1 movie or i saw something and like this would be like i could
see i i could see look he's like someone mentioned the next movie coming from that series instead of F1, which is Brad Pitt.
I can't remember Brad Pitt's character, the name anyways, nor can I remember the character from Days of Thunder with Tom Cruise.
But the next would be like some world where the two combined.
So you have Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.
It's their respective characters from Days of Thunder and F1.
It's not the actual actors.
It's AI-generated characters
that look and sound exactly the same.
I still think we're in this uncanny valley air
of content created by AI,
but I don't think it's going to last forever,
just like it didn't last forever
when you're talking just pure images.
X kicked Joey out, didn't like what he was uh what he was sharing we're all we're all talking about
subscriptions we need in our life and x premium is not one of them uh a kid nikita we love x we
love spaces we just would like not even 100 uptime like 99 would probably be okay. People like being here.
speaking of X and creators,
Jesus, I know you're big bullish
We are going to have pawns
the most expensive shot in that F1 movie for
nine cents with AI. It's floating around
X if that ever works again.
So, like, Tom Cruise might go
down as, like, the last, like,
in the world of acting who, like like did his own stunts and all that
like like rest in peace stunt guys and gals like that seems like it why would you ever risk your
life doing some crazy stunt when you just don't have to anymore like you can and and and like
some people maybe i don't remember it, but maybe this was also a conversation when like CGI and like special effects became such a thing.
Like people might have called that cheating.
Like who cares if it's someone.
I mean, I guess it makes it more exhilarating if someone might actually die.
But it's like you're watching a movie.
You already know they didn't die or you already heard of it.
Maybe you joined us to talk about the future of movies or YouTube premium.
If so, feel free to comment or add anything to those conversations. If not, though, tell us a little about Z Creator Cards.
What has you, anything in particular has you so bullish?
GM, welcome to the stage.
Yeah, I want to let everyone know if you leave this space you will not be able to join any other spaces the
best space going on right now anyways so there's no need to leave the space uh x is just fucking
shot so um and i wonder why i paid you, 50 something dollars a month for this shit. But it is what it is.
No, nothing really to contribute there.
I fucking pay for every single thing.
I started getting all these streaming apps because it's like, yeah, cable sucks.
And now I'm paying like $350 a month for fucking all the streaming stuff.
And it's like, it's dumb.
It's not paying 150 bucks with your streaming cable service.
Come to this app for nine 99 a month.
And now we're all paying far more than ever paid with cable for the collective
of all these different streaming services. I agree. Exactly. Exactly.
So like my, like my sister's the only one that benefits from this because she,
like, and it's pretty wild because you can use your own
netflix account and instead of sharing the password and running the risk of like losing
your account or whatever um she actually piggybacks off my subscription but at half the cost
so she's like here i'll just send you a whole year of netflix cost and up front like of her cost
it's like half the cost for her to get the same thing that i'm getting it's pretty wild um so uh
but yeah all that shit's it's i don't know man it's a rip-off and then the problem is captain
is you want to go clean this shit up and you're like, I don't need this one. I don't need HBO or I don't need,
but you get hooked on one fucking show from each platform.
so I don't know what to do there.
what the kids are saying is forget that show.
Just ask AI to recreate it verbatim and you can get
that for 20 bucks a month with collider chat gpc i kid but and also just one point so i know a bunch
of people i don't have one that pay like 250 for this box and like 20 bucks a month and they get
every single platform i'm just like kind of hesitant to do shit like that but that option
is out there yeah yeah i don't need some fucking federal agent knocking on my door or some
shit um there there was the so eth bitcoin we're gonna hit on before we get out of here
we are also at least fly over i'm not the expert in the collectible world but there is some
controversy around the illustrator sale uh it was a six point record sale logan paul Paul sold it to...
I don't even know that guy's name.
My pronunciation is slipping me,
but it's a son of a current former politician.
Anyway, $6.5 million sale.
Also some controversy around it.
I did pin it up top, but you can't find it now.
I will go pull it up on a tab, and I'll share it on the video here before we end.
But before I go there, why should we care about it?
Thomas even said Pons was on a space yesterday trying to explain what Z is and is doing, but got a little out of hand with some points.
I do think there's some merit.
It's a little complex now. But I points was hard to follow. I will agree. I do think there's some merit. It's a little complex now,
but I don't think it's overly complex without merit.
I think what they're doing and what they're,
it's more than just fluff.
talk about this thing and get paid for talking about it.
It's much more than that.
Why should they pay attention?
Why should one of the cards?
One, because these guys are trying to do something new they they were never info fi and they they played the info fi game because they didn't want to try and go out and raise money they were able
to make money and keep that money in house to build out the product of for what it was going
to be and it was never just straight info fi and they've said
that from from day one that's why they were slashing people left and right and then when
they started slashing people that caused uh that caused wall chain and cookie and a lot of other
in these other platforms to start doing the same thing so they started going after people that were
bought in their posts that were doing the three by three engagement groups telegram so they started going after people that were bought in their posts that were doing
the three by three engagement groups telegram so they were they were changing info fight really
really well um and yesterday's space was a complete shit show oh really um yeah i was
listening to it live the whole time they wouldn't allow allow ponds to talk. When ponds talk, spoke and gave them an explanation,
Jonah was being a fucking jerk, you know,
and I've come to like Jonah, but yesterday was like old Jonah,
and it was just, it was dumb, and people were,
people were taking, like, words out of context
and just, like, cherry-picking certain topics and scott fu and i mean they were
they were pretty fucking dumb um to not even give the guy they were asking the questions without
giving him the time the answer and then when he would go answered it wasn't what they wanted so
it's like you know they do their own vetting process they do their own way of determining what brands they want to work with
and i trust these guys i i have them on my show you know as often as possible and i'm in some
backroom chats with them and um these guys know what the fuck they're doing and they were just
trying to point out that you know that pons was a grifter and a scammer and that Zita scam. And it's just a, um, you know,
it's just another moment of extraction. And it's like, well, they've, all they've done is given
people money. It like, not even them, just the brands they brought on. So, you know, then they're
like, they were going at, at Pons about not, you know know not doxing like the whole entire team of every
brand they bring on and just being really um you know it was a point where they were just being
they were trying to tag on every single little bitty thing and it was it was dumb it was dumb
why i'm bullish on it is one that just the bearish team in general,
not just for pretty much every brand on abstract,
but some other web three brands that are on ETH and base and things of that
Uh, I think his, you know, his straightforward attitude, he's, he's a good guy. And Tully is a monster as well. I do like Pons.
I think his straightforward attitude, he's a good guy.
So I do trust these guys.
The way that it's going to be coming,
like you and I or whomever has a creator card,
to be able to get 80% royalties on that card of secondary sales is insane, bro.
You know, 80% in the, and I did the math last night. that card of secondary sales is insane, bro. Yep.
You know, 80% in the, and I did the math last night. If you have a $500 sale on your card cap, all right, it's 10% royalties on the collection,
which is high, but that's a way to pay creators.
So you have a 10% royalty, which is enforced that royalty.
So then you're getting 80% of that 10%.
So now you're making $40 on that card,
just in royalties back to you as a creator.
And if you're engaged in tournaments and your,
and your squad is doing well and people are supporting you in your,
in your card has that much more value to it. I mean, brother,
it's $40 off a $500 sale. We've seen 19 ETH Pac-Man sale, which obviously it's Pac-Man and
it was the biggest, you know, sale on fantasy top. But if you had a 19 ETH sale and you got 80% of
the, the, the secondary volume on that card, I mean, that's a lot of money.
But there's a lot more stuff coming
to it. We don't know enough yet.
But yeah, yesterday was a shit show.
I can't remember his name. Yeah, that's why I came up.
I got there late, and when I finally came up,
I had already heard enough that the
first time that Scott Fu guy started talking,
I just yelled at him immediately.
Then he left. But I yelled at him immediately. Yeah.
But I yelled at him the second he interrupted me.
He was trying to ask good questions and trying to have a good conversation.
Unfortunately, he had a panel full of schizophrenics.
And they were just rude and disrespectful.
Yeah, well, you had Scott Fu trying to do the tough guy bravado thing.
Yeah, he's like, I was standing on Wall Street ringing the bell.
Well, who gives a fuck, bro?
Not an idiot, though. Just to be clear.
It wasn't this idiot on stage. Not an idiot.
It was just unfortunate because there was a good opportunity
for everybody listening that was curious about Z to potentially get a a lot of information but they wouldn't even let ponds
finish the sentence let me ask you this do you guys think how much of that how much of the blowback
let me ask this did jonah get a card is is part of that blowback this is no he didn't but that's
not i know jonah's kind of doing his own thing sort of like that. And he's run an agency before. To be honest, like, I think Jonah's just starting to become this, like, kind of chaotic character.
And look, if it had just been Jonah up there trying to be funny, it would have been one thing.
But there was multiple other people that just literally wouldn't even let Ponce finish a sentence to answer a question.
sentence to answer a question i i get that jonah was just adding to the chaos but like to be honest
I get that Jonah was just adding to the chaos.
it would have been fine and it probably would have been just funny if it had just been jonah
being chaotic yeah but even jonah was going overboard so it was just like and i'm expecting
him to come on my space today and i'm gonna fucking let him know that you know he was being a
dick um and but there's no need for that. And here's the problem. People are down, their bags are down.
People are looking for plays and ways to make money.
And where's the best place to hang right now.
And for me, that's abstract.
For me, there's a lot of activity, a lot of games drop and a lot of different things that
are happening in the space and it's going to lead up to another big tg by by by you
know luca uh and in his whole entire ecosystem of teams and it's like why shit on somebody that's
trying to do something new trying to do something fun you know like i shit on death star and one of
my posts and then henry came on our space after I listened to him in here and he spoke to us.
And now I kind of understand it and it's not doing what I had thought it was going to do.
And it wasn't as bad of an impact.
And it's kind of a cool idea if they keep evolving it.
But it's like, I didn't have Henry on my stage and then just sit there and shit on him.
And it's like, if you can't give people that you know that time and um you know
the to to answer the questions you're asking for but then you're gonna shit on somebody every time
somebody's trying to do something new in the space it's kind of dumb and i like i unfollowed a few of
those people yesterday because it's like i i don't want i don't want that kind of shit like i try and
stay away from negativity i want you know i want to see good
things happen in the space if they're able to pull this off and it's a good model and it's great
then cool but when you have people that are pissed off about it people that are happy about it and
the whole timeline is just blowing up about it they're doing something right so i would pay
attention to it uh if you see some people that you um
you know are giving away codes for cards then i would definitely get on it but right now there's
almost 6 000 minted so i don't think there's very many left to mint um hey cheese how long do we have
to mint those i don't remember it was 14 days from the day that they launched which was what
like three or four days ago oh i think it? I think it's been at least a week.
I could be wrong, but I think it's been a week, maybe a week.
Damn, that's gone by quick.
If anyone, I'm hearing X might be back.
So we should try to track that down.
When did it actually launch?
So we know the hard cutoff.
And if X is back and you do want one of my creator cards, I got a few left.
I'll swap you. I got one for you. Let got a few left shoot me a dm i'll go through that i'll try i'll try i'll uh swap you i got one for you guys do me i thought you sent me one but i can't i
don't have you in my do i have you in my deck um if the two of you you get one uh tarry if you want
one as well for joining the convo and stay today i'm more than happy and then joey was our fourth
uh minimum i'll get all for you just shoot me because I think you have mine right let me check I think
too it's alright I have taken
too much time I didn't know
exactly what to do with these things
and so I was kind of sitting on them until we got
more info but it seems like
we just need to act and the info will
come later so uh yeah anyway
yeah she's the thought in my deck so somehow we missed that we will have to keep each other in
mind for a future uh i'm happy just to give you one of mine even though i'm it's a one-sided
trade here we were we were sitting here like ripping shit like live yeah um i need to do
more of my deck i'm also i have legit fomoO because even though I'm an advisor, I did not farm ZE.
I talked about some things organically, but my ZE, my number of ZE's is,
especially seeing some of the leaders recently and how many ZE's they've stacked up.
Jesus, you're one of them.
I hope that doesn't come back to bite me.
I'm hoping for my own selfish sake that when they kick off the new tournaments,
the new program, that it's a, we all start at like ground zero and i'm not playing catch up to those you to have hundreds
of thousands of z's but for those that are frustrated or you don't have a card yet don't
sweat it's not over it's not the end of it i do think that some of the blowback and yes i also
agree i think jonah's playing a character he knows what he's doing and he's being with intent being polarizing, controversial, fill in the blank.
It works for him. But that said, when people are just pouring on and it's repetitive and and they're not letting the founder create a finish a sentence.
That's just it's just respectful, first of all. And I know I know every show has their own format and style.
I don't agree with everyone on the stage. In fact, Henry is a great example. Every show has their own format and style.
I don't agree with everyone here on the stage.
In fact, Henry is a great example.
I thought it was, I did not like it at all.
I was like, I think the word I used was disgusted when they launched Death Star at first.
We had Henry on the show.
And I'm not saying I'm a fan.
I went and bought some Death Star.
I appreciate founders, teams doing new things,
More of that, more innovation, more experimentation.
And we have to stop taking shots at any founders who try something new.
And we say, oh, they're just, they rubbed or they're just extracting.
Like, no, it's such like we over...
The term grifter was the most predominantly used term yesterday, which I found hilarious.
We have real grifters that have entered crypto.
We have real extractors that have entered crypto.
Has pawns pivoted a few times?
Yeah, he keeps experimenting.
If you were to frog, you still have access to that Discord.
He's not forgetting those people.
It's like, oh, I've been a supporter all along.
I should get a free card.
It's really hard to make a
bunch of people happy, but I'm going to continue
If you're building something, attempt to
align with the active participants. Attempt to align
with your beta testers, your
I'd like to see more experimenting.
They're not all going to hit. Most aren't, but
it doesn't mean it's a rug or they're extracting or they're a grifter if they're attempting to do
something new. In fact, I'd say it's the opposite. If they're attempting to drive, deliver value,
drive something new in the space, it's like, it's the opposite of being a grifter because a grifter
would come in, they'd extract and they'd leave and you'd never hear from them again.
Atari, go ahead and get in here.
Yeah, I sounded earlier like you were going to pass it to Jesus.
It looks like he left to kind of go over a little bit of the Zeke, because I was curious.
And I had a terrible experience on Zeke.
Just because I did, that doesn't mean, like, if you had pawns up here, I want to hear.
Like, I'm actually genuinely curious.
I love Henry from Cyber Kongs.
He's actually become one of my closest friends um just because he's a real person he's been in the space for so many
years og and not an extractor but yeah i'm just genuinely curious on uh on these cards even you
know um and yeah man everybody should have an opportunity to talk i'm an absolute troll too
but yeah some of the the big spaces get a little just not my cup of tea yeah to be totally
fair to jonah he was he was being chaotic neutral he was being a troll to everybody it just it was
just a pile on between everybody uh in pa in pons's corner but he jonah was trolling everybody
which was fine um but atari i'll say this anything that Cheese would have had to tell you about
Zeet which I mean he's got a lot of ideas but most of the information is just not out yet it's
it's mostly speculative for now right like all they're really saying is that it's it's not uh
it's not fantasy top it's not going to be like fantasy top uh and that you will be kind of
relying on squads and and the people that you trade your cards with and everything.
But there's not a lot of hard information out yet at this point.
Sorry, Cap, last question.
What about the Zs we have?
Can those carry over to buy cards?
We should be able to buy cards, card packs with our Zs. How much a card pack will cost in Z that's that's also undefined as of now speaking
of the chaotic neutral jonah i see he's got a request an upstage jonah i'm not ignoring you
just heads up we have had some extremely challenging morning on x uh we're back i thought
it was gonna rug it somehow didn't rug so i'm gonna throw i'm gonna bring the gonna bring you
up on stage my request is just remaining mildly chaotic neutral and if we could use hands this
morning i would appreciate it um but uh if i if it if the ad fails it's not me it's x doing x
things but i saw benjamin on stage as well uh benjamin gm i'm not sure if you came up to talk
z or i don't know the wide range of topics we hit it's like the wide world of sports except
instead of sports i was just uh I was actually just testing and delighted
because it's been driving me crazy for the last hour.
I was going to say my mobile is still not loading,
but it actually just did reload.
Yeah, mine's been connecting again
and then dropping back down.
I actually... I came up because... because I have Zeke cards too,
and I've only given away 10 of them.
So I probably need to hurry that up.
I don't know when that whole thing expires.
I didn't really take it seriously enough.
And without me realizing, it went and got busy
and everyone started talking about it.
So I'm probably going to gonna do that but i guess anyone
listening that wants a card just um dm me yeah same and especially those whether it was cheesus
or i see be epic um i sent one and it didn't work for some reason uh shoot do me a favor if you can
get your ex dms to work shoot me a dm i'm gonna go through as soon as i get off the show i'm gonna
go through any of those pending ds, and I'll share my...
I pinged the app. I'll swap you.
The other thing I was going to mention very quickly,
and then I'll defer to Jonah,
because I think it's probably a more exciting conversation,
and it got answered just before the end there,
or just before the last person stopped finishing,
which was the fact that you're going to be able to use your Zs
to kind of participate in trading these cards.
So I guess at the moment, and Kyle, you're probably in the best position
to answer seeing as you've been listening in.
Do we know any more on that and when that kicks in,
or are we kind of all a little bit in the dark?
dark i am going to now that x appears to be working i am going to see if i can find when
it started because it was 14 days so we still it was last last third okay so you've got until this
thursday i don't know if it in a day thursday or no no no i think another week on top of that i think it was literally yeah yeah i think
it hasn't even been a week yeah i think it was two weeks uh and and and to answer your question
there's i they haven't said specifically like when the cards will go live but i would assume
that then the necessity to claim within two weeks probably points to maybe after that two weeks
right that that's my understanding as well um jonah i'm not sure how much you caught of the
conversation no one's taking shots actually got a little defense for but it appeared to be it was
a chaotic space yesterday it's being very disrespectful and just not even letting people
finish and firing shots uh you actually i think it was an idiot defended you said to be fair you
were chaotic neutral and just across the board um But go ahead and take it whichever you're going to do.
I also think Jonah's completely washed and gay,
but, you know, we're buddies
I'm going to take away all your NFTs.
you're not being a good goy.
Anyway, something about me being an asshole can someone
summarize that because i just got here i came here it wasn't just about you jay in fact it was
less about i know i know because i'm gonna the other two because i have a feeling that uh nobody
has the full story but i was there so like i i will go i went back and listened to the whole
space right and and i think the it's kind of a waste of time yeah well okay when i say i listened to the whole space
i listened to the part where ponds came up forward right and you actually asked some pretty
intelligible questions you also made fun of the other two that were being completely
a lot so i i would say if I had a complaint to make,
I would just say that there was way too much chaos,
which unfortunately kind of robbed a lot of the people listening of the opportunity to actually get some information
during that space from the people on the team.
All right, so with that, I will say a couple things
and recount exactly what happened.
But before I do that, i think we need to start with
the preamble which is you have to understand that these are not spaces where you're supposed to get
information like i don't like i i said this to ponds i said like i said i said it's a pond on
space i said ponds you're a terrible speaker like if i have to give you any advice you're a fucking
terrible speaker what do you mean by that then why are they not spaces where you should get information you're saying that
specific space or expand on that i'm not i'm not tracking like all right so like one thing about
being a founder is like knowing what you're stepping into yeah okay like if you if you go
into and by the way burden is an amazing host. It's not Burden's fault, okay?
I don't know if you know who Burden is because you're on the morning shift of a Burden.
He jumps in every once in a while.
I don't attend, I don't know if it's time
or I don't attend a lot of Burden spaces,
but yeah, I've never had a bad experience with Burden.
I think he's a decent host when I have heard
and he's added value to this show.
Yeah, Burden's great, but you have to understand that.
I don't want them to take it the wrong way because enough people will
who you surround yourself with.
And you need to understand that between AlphaCo and Burden spaces,
no one is there for legitimate information.
Like, it is purely a, hey, I mean, like, maybe they wish it was that way,
but, like, the average people they have up there doesn't allow that to exist, right?
But those spaces are purely entertainment, at least from my perspective,
and I think from a lot of people's perspective.
So if you're coming up to defend yourself, like, first off, Pons already dealt himself a bad hand,
okay? There were two guys up there who apparently called him a grifter, which by the way, I did not
call him a grifter. I only started making fun of him after he couldn't answer what I thought was
a legitimately important question,
It was a guy named Scott Fu and another person we know very well who I like personally, Kuro.
I assume you know who these people are, right?
So Scott Fu, well, Kuro really didn't give a shit,
but Scott Fu was the one who was calling him a grifter, right?
So Pons went on stage, which I think was the wrong move already he already made the wrong move right you you have five versus one right you're not going to win a five versus one twitter spaces
battle like it's just you're already wasting your time you're already on the wrong battlefield
anyway he comes up and he says,
well, I'd like you to clarify why you believe I'm a grifter, right? Blah, blah, blah.
And then people start saying some shit. Scott Fu starts being a little more heated than the rest.
And then Pons, because I said, I agree. I think Pons is a bad speaker, at least defending himself.
I agree. I think Pons is a bad speaker, at least defending himself. You know, the minute Scott
Foose starts winning a little bit, everyone else starts piling on because, you know, nobody wants
to be on the losing side of a debate. And then you have what I call the schizo announcers, okay?
These are people who don't even know what they're talking about. And I won't say the names of who
they are, but they're there for pure comedy. They don't know what they're talking about you and i won't say the names of who they are but they're there for pure comedy they don't know what they're talking about they they don't even
know if they're on planet earth or not like they're living in la la land but they're really
funny to have on stage so you're not going to boot them because they're entertaining right
these people start chiming in and start dogging on him, okay? Then at that point, it is pure chaos.
Like, Pons should have folded immediately,
but instead, because he's a bad speaker,
doubled down and continued to answer questions.
But he had already lost the battle.
At this point, he was just getting, you know,
fatalities left and right.
At this point is when I start making fun of him because I asked him a
simple question amidst the chaos because he made a comment that actually was bad, which was about
like vetting. How do you vet projects? This was like really bad answers. Okay. And I said,
do you at least know who the founder is? do you vet the founder and he in a way basically
said no and that's when i said all right well i'm on i'm on the other team now like that that's not
good like and that's when i started teasing him because one that's a fundamental question that
you should have an answer to and and two you know he had already overstayed his time on the battlefield. He was already losing.
like the attacking him, whether
it be personally or the businesses and the
attempts he's made, how much do you think, if any,
Scott or some of the others not getting a
creator card? Do you think it was, you know, is there some envy baked in
or them simply funding something that they don't think they're going to be able to participate or make money in?
I didn't get the gist that that was the issue.
I think most of these guys are just sick of InfoFi and they think this is just a reiteration.
Yeah, I think there's more about it.
Like some already done things.
Now, Jonah, from my perspective, and this is just from my perspective,
I did not get the impression that Pons came up there to change hearts and minds.
I got the impression that he wanted to understand the argument that he was a grifter.
That was already, the minute you did that, you already lost.
You cannot, you cannot, this is like pr 101 okay if someone has already
considered you a grifter unless they are willing to change their mind you are wasting your time
and energy trying to change their mind right like there has like i just said i didn't get the
impression that he was trying to change minds and when you say you already lost it's like
lost what he was kind of there on a fact-finding mission to find what some of the criticisms might be so i mean if that be
the mission then what but it's like he actually gather information i don't think he gathered any
information like it's like it's like it's like uh trying to get a sense of the of the weather for
the next week from like some guy named jeff from some guy named Jeff who lives in a shack.
You're getting your information from the wrong people.
I guess where I net out on this is whether you're a fan of Pons or Z or you think this is a cool experiment or not.
Man, it's hard to build things.
It's 100x harder to build things. It's a hundred X harder
to build things in public. And it's even harder to build things with a lot of stakeholders, many
of which they're not shareholders. They don't hold equity in the, in the project. I, um,
and I know Ponce has to extend, I'm not saying he's like going to leave the space because people
I just, if we want to see founders and teams experiment more and attempt to do new things in crypto, do new things on chain,
we have to give them a little bit of grace and realize that if they're selling something or launching something new, that does not equal, that doesn't equal grifter.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes.
I do think one thing that most of us agree is it is new. Is it an iteration of InfoFi or an
iteration of Fantasy Top? Maybe. There was probably some inspiration taken from all those predecessors. I just, most things are
iterated on. Most things come to be our iteration of something that came before.
We were talking about Peter and his success is, you know, 86 days. He had presumably a billion
dollar exit. I think it was his 24th project that he's attempted to build just specifically
inside of the world of AI agents.
So it's like he iterated and pivoted and iterated and pivoted and iterated and pivoted and
iterated and pivoted. And then he hit a grand slam. It's my definition of a grifter is someone
who comes in, raises millions or tens of millions of dollars. And then as soon as things get hard,
or they don't find product market fit,
they're like, see, we're out of here.
We're pivoting outside of crypto.
And they show no care or anything for anyone that supported them.
I wouldn't call that a grifter.
I don't think that's a grifter either, to be honest.
You're not sentenced to life in on-chain jail because you can't make it.
It's very nuanced. But I think it's like if we're not going to call those people grifters, then we certainly can't call people who stay here and continue to make an attempt or make an effort.
We shouldn't. I don't feel in my opinion.
I think like a lot of things, intent rather than the actual actions is important, right?
So like if you come into the space, raise a bunch of money,
and your intent was just to raise a bunch of money on the back of some meta
and never really deliver, then Grifter, sure.
If your intent is to try to build something and you fail,
I think that's the difference that you two are kind of on the other side of each other on here.
My only complaint about Pons,
aside from he is a terrible speaker,
he needs to learn to be a better speaker,
is I don't get the point of cards.
Like, they keep saying it's not Fantasy Top,
but it just looks like Fantasy Top to me.
Well, you know, and I agree.
It does ring of Fantasy Top because of the cards, right?
But they are adamant that it is not just fantasy top.
And I got to tell you, I'm a big fan of the Bearish team,
and I know they've done the building on this.
So, look, I'm going to take their word for it until proven otherwise, personally.
And, I mean, that's all I can do because I've chosen to participate in this.
And choosing not to believe that, I mean, that makes sense too, right?
Because, I mean, it is cards.
It looks kind of like fantasy top, and there's no information yet. So it's fair to believe that i mean that makes sense too right because i mean it is cards it does it looks kind of like fantasy top and there's no information yet so it's fair to make that
assumption i'm just gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna go with it because i really like this team i believe
in them i've seen them build cool things so you know i mean what can you do yeah i and i also
don't take issue with not having all the information before the information is ready to be shared.
I think that was, if you go back to the mania days of NFTs and even crypto Twitter, it was a fine line between not sharing everything and giving people more than just pure speculation.
giving people more than just pure speculation. And here we have, like, we know a direction,
we have some details, but I also, I mean, not even talking about like, oh, people could
front run them or, you know, copy posit before they even launch. You know, some, it is fun to
speculate a little bit, especially when there, you know, there's not, no one's been asked to
spend any money yet. It's, hey, go go claim these cards share some of these cards that mechanic i i do like and we'll see we'll find out more on friday when ponds
joins us but i do appreciate everyone helping to fill in some gaps we don't have yet uh go ahead
jesus yeah one of the things i wanted to point out so like when info 5 got shut down um there were there you had wallchain cookie kaito uh there were some
others that are doing dumb shit um and then you had zeet then you had a bunch of creators asking
what's going to happen with all the payouts and zeet was one of the first ones to actually
like have these brands that had active tournaments running uh to start rewarding the
users that were on the platform um so for them to start doing that and it kind of kick-started it
then wallchain started doing it it's like they were last to the to the show but everything they
started doing was being implemented by others.
The first movers in that.
So, you know, the amount of influence, the conversation, like I said, I had to jump on a work call.
But like I said, all these conversations, the people getting FOMO.
I've seen people that were pissed, that were just dancing on InfoFi's grave.
And then now they're applying, trying to figure out how to get cards, how to be a certified creator.
And some of them are mad that they can't get in right away because they, I guess they feel like they, you know, are owed that.
And I just, I think it's good.
they activated this at a time where there is nothing going on.
And if they can keep that attention and the mechanics are really good.
I compare it to fantasy top quite a bit because of the fucking cards and how
they're going to do this without reading data on chain and how the squads work
supporting i mean the way to market a brand is to talk about it on x or talk about it on instagram
or fucking clips or and if you're not reading that data it's going to be interesting because
they said that you would have to have um you know, part of that article you have pinned at the top,
it states that you will have to click a button.
There will be blockchain transactions involved.
And, you know, if that's, I don't know.
It's fucking mind-blowing how they're going to do this without reading or doing anything on X.
They're also adamant about the fact that it's not to promote people to tweet.
You're not incentivizing people to tweet, which is also like a giant question mark.
There's just, there's way too much shadow and not enough light.
Otherwise, they'll get suspended on X.
x and pond said several weeks ago that they've had several calls with x to give them their full
rollout plan of what they're about to do and apparently it's been signed off on so um it's
it's going to be it's going to be interesting now mind you all these cards that are going out right
now are common cards you know there's going to be different levels of rarity and you know i would uh i would just get as many as you can and and see where it goes
from there because not only here's the other side of this cap is not only are you going to get the
rewards on z if you're in a good squad or whatever, however this works.
But for holding these NFTs, they're on abstract,
and then you should theoretically get XP on abstract for holding the NFTs as well.
Every one of these that you're minting is a transaction on abstract.
So I'm expecting to see some type of XP increase this week from this.
So, you know, the more cards you hold,
maybe the more you're able to earn on abstract as well.
We all love a good double farm.
I'm not saying go collect Z-Creator cards just to farm abstract points. I'm not saying go collect Z creator cards just to farm abstract points.
I'm not saying go do it just to farm.
This is one of those things.
Like real alpha, if you're an active participant on chain,
the brutal reality right now, this very instance,
if you're not talking about AI agents on chain,
crypto is kind of boring.
We're in a little bit of a lull.
Fear and greed, low, bear market, whatever you want to call it. I think this is an incredible
time to be participating with Z. I see Brett out there with MegaEth. MegaEth, I saw, I think it was
someone over the weekend said it's the first time they've actually seen an L2 launch with
actual organic growth, not a current farm. And the stables are
increasing, transactions are increasing. Like it's, it's a, I think a really, really, really
good time to be participating on chain with, with putting very little to no capital at risk for a
lot of these things. Are there things you can be speculative on? You can put
your capital at play? Yeah, sure. But there's also a lot of things right now that's not crowding.
It's not noisy. There's more people, and I saw Paul Simas, X has been finicky all morning. I'll
try to re-ad you again. If it fails again, just do a quick lap. Maybe shut the app, force close it, and see if you get it to reopen
and rejoin us. We're just trying to power
do. I truly believe this.
It's not just biggies. I think there's a lot of
to be an active participant on chain, to be a
quote-unquote beta tester, to be quote-unquote
early. Maybe none of it hits. Maybe we enter an extended bear and it's all worthless. But if you're going to to be an accurate participant on chain, to be a quote-unquote beta tester, to be quote-unquote early,
Maybe we enter an extended bear and it's all worthless.
But if you're going to be here,
I think versus clapping back
and telling people how dumb they are,
your time is probably better used
going and clicking a few buttons,
Maybe one or two of these ends up being the big winner of the again. Maybe one or two of these ends up being, you know,
the big winner of the cycle.
Maybe one or two of these things ends up creating the next big meta.
And you were really early to it because you're tuned into coffee with
captain 1097, despite our, our, uh,
X non rugging rugging issues today and ends up leading to,
even if it's not tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, I think that's the other
thing too, is resetting our expectations. Some of this is there's beyond just number go up or
floor price go up or I sold my bags for X. We're talking about this new economy and jobs.
jobs. You have an opportunity to be early to a lot of things, become an expert, so to say,
and the doors that that could open are, I still think, near limitless. Now, is it easy to connect
all those dots? It's very hard looking forward. It's easy looking back. What I do know is those
dots aren't going to connect when you look back and you just chose to stay on the sidelines and not participate in anything so find things that are somewhat
interesting albeit sometimes controversial or you don't have all the information and
you know what like you're all you're going to miss more than you hit and that's just life that's
you know from angel investing vc investing to betting on on which NFT floor is going to pump next.
You're going to be wrong more often than you're going to be right.
But the goal is looking for those asymmetrical opportunities.
And it's a lot easier to find an asymmetrical opportunity
when you're not having to risk thousands of dollars,
You're risking your time, a little bit of attention.
And again, there's no guarantee.
None of this stuff might not hit.
But one of the things, we lost Brad, but I was going to say, he vibe-coded the naming conventions on MegaEath.
Go claim your Mega domain, cap.mega.
Maybe nothing comes of it.
Maybe they become high in demand. I sure wish I had, when I was early to ENS domains, I sure wish I clicked a few more buttons and registered more domains because that airdrop ended up being a print fest.
And because it wasn't something that really spoke to me at the time, I was a passive observer instead of an active participant.
was a passive observer instead of an active participant. And in hindsight, I can look back
and wow, those dots would have been very easy to connect to leading to a six-figure airdrop.
I got one of my best early friends who's not even in crypto, but I knew he was big in domains.
He got a five-figure airdrop because he took my own advice that I didn't follow.
And he just went and registered his name and some other domains he owned on chain. And it ended up being a huge financial win.
And then I think we did get posthumous here on stage successfully.
Yeah, I wanted to kind of read something real quick.
I mean, it's a little bit lengthy.
But this is a reply from Scotty yesterday talking about the squad.
Do you want me to read it out real quick?
If you want to put the top,
then that way if others want to,
maybe the TLDR version or on the highlights.
So he said squad is a part of a tournament where X percentage of token is given out.
Say it equates to 250 K to 500 K squad gets first.
So in that tournament and they get 50%,
125 K to 250 K by being first place.
Then that token is split amongst them. And the creator would both make out on royalties
and the rewards for the performance of the squad.
But he said in here that it's also not necessarily true just because you have a card that you
get part of the creator split or the squad split. There needs to be meaningful action done within a squad
to allow you to get rewards.
So there's going to be gamification and game theory involved
to where you get a percentage of the cut from whatever that is.
And like I said, man, they had some tournaments on there that had some very
big prizes like the bears tournament ended first place got 39 bears at you know 150 200 a piece
right now and those things are going to be worth way more they had the cyber tournament that was
250 000 prize they ended up paying out 50 000 because because the, you know, info five got shut down, but first place still, I think walked away with like $5,000. Um, so,
and that was for like a month. It was a month's work.
I was just putting out a few posts. So, uh, just, I would stay locked in.
Hopefully we get some answers today. Uh, more about Z. So it's going to be good.
Love it. Well, appreciate sharing.
Appreciate everyone who added to that conversation filling some gaps.
we will have pawns joining us Friday for a deeper dive,
It launched on Thursday, but they also said packs are launching this week.
So as I connecting dots there,
it looks like you'll be able to buy packs prior to the free claim period
I don't think you're going to,
if you have packs, especially if you have a car to go claim, you don't think you're going to, if you have packs,
especially if you have a card to go claim,
you're going to want to do that.
If you have some, I want to make sure I've gifted the,
all the remaining of my, you get 24.
If you have a card, you have 24, you can give away.
And I do like, I do like,
I do like that as an onboarding mechanism, right?
I like that, hey, let's lean into our earliest creators
and have them help onboard others.
Obviously, in some cases, we're doing swaps.
Like who else has a card?
And then also who's not in that would like a card.
And I just, it's new, it's different.
I hope, I don't even hope it's like the next meta
or the next latest greatest thing.
I just hope it's something that people have some fun with
and it brings us another thing to do when for the active participants that are here. And
not that I've been here forever, but in the five plus years that I have been here, it's
time and time again, I've seen active, active is the keyword participants receive outside rewards
just for being early. And more often than not, it's
with very little or no capital at risk. And this is checking some of those boxes. There's no
guarantee it works. But a few other things I do want to highlight here before we let you out of
here. We just hit the 10 o'clock hour. So I'm going to be brief, just going to share the headlines.
But for those of you that missed it, there'll be some stuff you can follow up, do your own research
and do your own personal deeper dives.
So I'm going to kind of go lightning round here.
I mentioned in passing this AJ Scaramucci, who is the founder of Solari Capital and son of former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
He's the one who paid $16.492 million for the Pikachu, a record in the card industry.
He followed it up with the announcement of launching Trove.
It's not Trove that just rugged everyone.
Probably doesn't realize the negative PR that came with the name he chose.
But it's basically starting a business or a website that's all about collecting treasures and collectibles.
Bro, he said he wants a full
You would think if you're about to name your company
something, you might give it a quick goob
I think I actually, could you not, I think I own a fractionalized share of a dinosaur, Tyrannosaurus, I believe of their Bitcoin reserve into ETH, directly into ETH.
They've established a new position in BlackRock's iShears Ethereum Trust.
Also, you can see right below this, AI agents will soon outnumber human users on ETH.
This ERC 8004, this agent directory and all that's happening there.
I just, I remain, I do think there's never been a more obvious intersection of crypto and tech
as there is with AI agents and blockchain technology. And yes, I do think Ethereum and
Ethereum layer twos are going to win or be, not that they are going to be the only places agents interact.
They're going to be on all chains for the most part, any relevant chains, at least.
I just think for many reasons, I think ETH is going to be where most of that activity takes place.
And I do think there's some first mover advantages here to where agents are going to want to be communicating with more agents and learn that information. And there's some, I think, real momentum and network effects we might see.
I mentioned, again, Harvard, 21% of their Bitcoin ETF,
rotated that into buying $87 million worth of ETH.
This is what I alluded to earlier. I'm not going to do the deep dive now, but I quote tweeted
someone who was talking, it's not about a floor price situation, but
I keep beating the drum of alignment and rewarding your holders, your earliest supporters, i.e.
those that are early Z card creators and those that are collecting those cards, like those
individuals are, at least for what's been shared so far, if Z is successful, those earliest
supporters stand to win as well.
It's kind of an evergreen conversation.
So I'm not going to, due to sake of time,
I'm not going to go to the deep dive today.
But speaking of AI and agents,
legendary quote tweeted Christopher Stanley,
who is the head of cybersecurity at X,
but a Grok integration for OpenClaw.
All it needs is an XI API key.
Big things happening there.
And it's just, I think we're at a point
where probably every week, if not every day,
going to see something new on this front.
That was my bold take over the week.
Not even bold at this point,
but I do think Ethereum is going to be the infrastructure
of AI agents, at least the leading infrastructure.
And last but not least, oh, I already shared this.
So just the chart here of the quick early AI agent growth on Ethereum.
More of that coming soon.
And with that said, before I lose my voice or X does officially, I'm kind of impressed.
Like somehow, somehow we survived.
I thought for sure we were getting rugged there as the show started off a little bumpy.
You couldn't load the timeline.
And yet somehow we ended up with over 100 people in here two hours in.
And I appreciate all of you real ones that powered through the X issues this morning.
But I would be remiss if I didn't at least use the X challenges to plug our YouTube.
If you're not yet over there, head to Coffee with Captain on YouTube.
Give us that sub in case X doesn't just,
someday we might be down completely
and the only way we'll be able to tune in
and participate will be on YouTube
I'm swapping Z creator cards.
If anyone has any creator cards
and you'd like to start collecting or you'd like my card, hit me in the DMs. I can't
guarantee I can get everyone, but I do have a few left. My goal is to give out most, if not all,
the remainders today. I'm also, if anyone is in the market for some beef, I don't need a whole cow.
Probably a quarter cow will do. I've already got Joey willing to split a cow.
So if anyone's interested in some grass-fed cattle,
this is on my agenda today.
After I give away my Z Creator cards,
I'm going to go cattle shopping and look to load up the freezer with some grass-fed beef.
I can't, but I'm serious.
If anyone's in Florida in particular
and you'd like to go halves or a quarter on a cow,
CryptoSkin1, appreciate the hookup
I will get you hooked up with a Z creator card here
not as soon as the show wraps.
I've got a post show debrief with Payne.
And then the next thing I'm doing is working my DM.
So that said, we'll be back tomorrow as always.
If you want to continue the Z conversation, we'll get to do that with Pons on Friday. He'll be joining us.
Like I said, don't wait if it's something to rest it in, uh, go sooner than later. Crypto
scam and Hans W appreciate the big Pingu tip over there as always. Uh, it's my favorite part of
abstract chat is those tips. I'm just looking forward to the day where I can return the favor and give some tips out to those that are participating in the chat and reverse tipping.
I would love to see that as a feature turned on.
I would be a big fan, even there or YouTube for that matter.
But to turn on the more YouTube features, we need that at least to get to 500
subs, 1,000 unlocks and more.
Appreciate any and all who've helped us out over there.
And Hans W and anyone else that wants those cards, just so I don't forget, shoot me the DM on X.
I know X is not my best method of communication, but for the purposes of handing out these Z creator cards, try to keep that all in one spot.
And I would appreciate the DM over there and I will get back to you.
My pleasure for remaining consistent.
It's a lot easier to do when all of you are consistent here as well.
Even when we have the technical challenges,
appreciate all of you for making the show what it is today.
buddy appreciate the kind words and glad it made the flight go faster.
You don't need to roll dog a flight.
especially if it's between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Tune in to Coffee with Captain. Spring for that
us for the show. Appreciate y'all.
We'll be back tomorrow as Steve would say. Hope y'all have a wonderful
day, everyone. I Thank you.
