And they wanted him to kind of go full force into, oh, it's going to cause inflation and this and that.

And we're going to have to keep tightening.
But instead, he's basically said they're taking their foot off the gas of the tightening side of things, which is just, you know, selling off the bonds of the balance sheet from 25 bill to 5 billion.
So he was very clear about that.
He gave an optimistic outlook on improving economic numbers.
And then even open the door to adjusting on the fly, even though he had mentioned, basically
they're targeting the first set of cuts to come again at the end of Q2, right, going into
Q3 around that time frame.
And then where he wants to be in terms of rates, fed fund rates, coming into the end of
the year at 3.8%.
And Trump will probably lean on him publicly and ask for more cuts.
But.
I think that he sees what Trump is doing as a positive.
I think he genuinely does.
So he can't, you can't fud it because you're going to fud yourself at the end of the day.
And I think that he's caught in a situation where I don't think he feels like he has to uphold that image anymore.

And even to the point, he started to shift last under Biden towards the end when they started talking about inflation rates being at 9% when Biden came into office.

and all that kind of stuff so it's a really big complex topic but
There is essentially taking variable rate interest loans, shorter term loans in order to acquire assets and then flip them.
That's essentially what's been happening for quite a long time at this point.
And they were doing it in a pretty nasty way, especially when rates were really high.
But if you're talking about quantitative tightening and how we're going to be lowering it in terms of what the Fed is doing,
That means that they're they're lessening the supply side pressure on the bond market, which means that people are going to race in to get ahead of the cuts to get to lock in the rates on their bonds that they're going to buy because that's an asset on your balance sheet.
It's an asset in your portfolio.
You can sell it later.
You can lean against it.
You can borrow against it rather.
And you can do all kinds of different things with it.
So because they're taking their foot off the gas in terms of sell side pressure,
which keeps the rates higher for those yields.
And when you get more demand on those yields, the yield lowers.
So we're going to end up with a lower yield environment.
So essentially, it's a good thing for the market because now rates will come down,
possibly even below Fed fund rates again.
And,
and,
And as they stop selling when they're done quantitative tightening, then demand will continue to pick up for those treasury notes, thus lowering the yields as they're cutting.
So we'll get a better interest rate environment at the same time.
So essentially slowing down QT gives us better rates over time because everyone's going to race for the current rates that are out there right now.
And that's a good, the market sees that as a good sign.
