Thank you. Hey Jules.
Hey Suavecito, or should I call you a saucy Vito?
Jules, I sent you a co-host.
Let's see if that goes through.
Oh man, hold on.
Hold on, hold on, hold on you a co-host. Let's see if that goes through. Oh, man. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Let me...
Okay. Can you hear me? There you are.
I can hear you, yes. Oh, shit. I had my earphones turned all the way up.
Wow. Hi. Hi. Startled me. How you doing?
I'm doing good. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. Good to see you.
Yo, what's up? What's up? Hey, suavecito. How are you? Yo, I'm good, Kara. How you been you i'm good i'm good good to see you yo what's up what's up how are you
yo i'm good girl how you been i'm good i'm good what's going on what's up jules um i gotta get
in touch with i am chris because we did some cool shit the other night. Oh, yeah? Yeah, yeah.
I think she's coming tonight.
I just don't know when.
I'm actually sending her an invite right now.
Ah, perfect.
Okay, okay.
Yeah, yeah.
What are you talking about in the pop-up space?
Or something else?
Yeah, something else.
We were just kind of chilling, vibing.
I don't know if you know Hoods.
But Hoods had a space. It was like a late
night thing just to kind of hang out, you know?
Oh, I see.
Yeah. We were just kind of messing around and
doing some cool shit.
That's awesome. Yeah. I don't want to
say what it is yet. I want to be surprised.
I feel you.
you. Okay. Well, that sounds really
exciting, and now you've completely piqued my interest
Because I'm like
What could this be
Well that's dope
I can't wait
Why do you have to come in and tell me something like that
And then keep me in suspense
I don't like that
And you know what if she doesn't come through yet
It's going to be crazy
I'm sure she'll be through at some point And I just don't know what time If she doesn't come through yet, it's going to be crazy. I'm just saying.
I'm sure she'll be through at some point tonight.
I just don't know what time she's going to roll up.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, I'm going to hang out until she comes through anyway.
So we're good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I just sent her a DM.
So we'll see.
Sometimes she rolls in a little bit later.
I don't know what she's doing tonight.
I know she said she's going to come through. Yeah. Oh, what's that? How's it going, Jules? How was your day?
A good day. Always a good day. Yeah, just chilling, just settling in, trying to sip
a coffee here and get my computer going. What time did you get up this morning?
yeah it's computer going what time did you get up this morning 4 a.m
yeah i'm a i'm a 4 a.m i'm part of the 4 a.m club i find like and it's funny like i i only got back
to that again this year like i spent most of my life like that just because of my like career
and stuff but um you know the last couple of years since i've kind of just shifted to
uh anyway not talking about that but um
I've had you know whatever my schedule is just my schedule I can get up whenever so like for a
couple of years it was just you know getting up at like nine eight nine ten whatever like it just
didn't matter so yeah this year back in 2025 back to the 4 a.m ground in it it feels fantastic
actually much better more more productive in the morning I I know. You get up and you go hiking, right, with your dogs?
Yeah, I try to get the dogs out.
Yeah, so I mean this morning I just went for a walk on the beach and watched the sunrise.
But I mean, yeah, I try to get up for a hike or at least walk on the beach or go for a little jog or something like that in the mornings.
Well, since you've been doing that, talking to you and talking to Tim actually,
because Tim is very into, very, very avid, like into fitness, like always working out and stuff.
Y'all have been inspiring me, not to lie.
I was like, you know what?
I used to, I used to work out all the time.
I used to be really big into fitness.
I used to run, well, jog really, walk.
But cycling was my thing.
It was my jam.
And I have trails behind my house that are very easy to access.
And I can ride it all the way down, downtown to the city, which is kind of like the Maniunk area, which no one here is going to be familiar with.
Never mind.
Kind of like Philadelphia-ish where I can ride it kind of like up in all these other different directions.
Really, really pretty ride.
And I work from home three days a week.
So I would just hop on my bike and just disappear, you know, for a couple hours because no big deal.
And I'd go down to my favorite spot, which is down by the water on the river.
And I'd sit there and I stop doing it because you know I'm very open and vocal about
this but like anxiety and depression of just they've it's it's fucked up my head right but today
I was like I keep I keep talking to Tim and I keep hearing about him working out and I keep seeing
your sunrise pictures and you're hiking and I'm like oh man I miss that feeling and I was like
you know what fuck it I'm gonna get on my bike i'm gonna drag my ass out there i'm gonna put air in
the tires and i am gonna ride that shit and i did it i did it today i went for a ride i rode 14
miles i stopped at my favorite spot on the river i sat there for a bit uh tell you what everything
hurts and i'm dying i can't walk straight uh The old men were riding faster than me and they were passing me, which I was pissed about.
But I did it.
So it's all good. And I'm excited because I want to
keep, I want to stay with it. I want to keep at it.
lost Jules.
Let's see if we can get him back up.
Oh, what's up, Lucius? I didn't see you took a mic. I was too busy
trying to pin some stuff
in the communities.
See if we can get Jules back up here.
Hold on a second.
Invite two co-hosts.
Also, Mojo said that he's running a little bit late, so he will be here soon.
Jules, we got you back?
Hey, guys.
I see the rest of you.
Thanks for joining.
We're just getting started.
Just kicking things off.
Jules, I'm going to cancel the co-host invite,
and I'm going to resend it.
Let's see.
Let's invite you to speak first.
There we go. See if that works. yeah sorry yeah i had my i had my wi-fi turned off on my phone for some reason and it was struggling oh no worries it happens
but oh and there it goes again i don't know what's happening. I don't know what's happening with your connection. What's up, Lucius? How are you?
Maybe my ex is just glitching.
Like, every time I try to click
the accept the co-host invite,
it just boots me off the fucking stage.
That's weird.
Yeah, it's weird.
Hmm, let's try it again.
Yeah, it shows me as a co-host right now.
No, it doesn't.
Yeah, no, it's so weird, right? It's so weird. It shows you as a... Ithost right now no it doesn't yeah no it's so weird right it's so weird it shows you
as uh it doesn't even say oh my god lucius lionheart it says christopher walken
right this is christopher walken that's so great well you guys you guys you gotta know You got to know a couple of things. You got to know.
When anybody gives me the co-host privilege, I treat it with the utmost respect.
And, you know, we're going to have a great time tonight.
And bring that lion energy.
I want you to do that.
You know, sometimes they try to mess with the lion.
Start messing with his tail.
Even the lioness, he's just trying to sleep. And the monkeys and the other kings of the jungle, they start messing with his tail.
And then the lion, he gets it together and unleashes the energy of the king of the jungle.
Well, that was wonderful. Thank you for that
monologue of Christopher
Walken pretending to be a lion.
I'm not really sure. I'm not exactly following,
but that was funny. I appreciate you.
Mojo, I'm trying to send you co-host.
I'm going to cancel it, and then
I'm going to resend it. Sorry, guys. Give me one
second. For some reason, spaces are glitchy
tonight. Cancel, reset. You want me to run
a track? A song? Let's see. Invite to still be said so you want me to run a track song let's see invite you spaces you want me to play a song hey joe um can i can you hear me
or no yes i can hear you okay never mind i can hear you just trying to i'll let me make sure i
can hear joe you with the show what's up how you you doing? Checking one, two, testing one, two. Can you hear me?
There we go. Perfect.
Yay, you're here!
How's it going? How you doing?
Oh, good. I just had
too many things to do right at the very last minute
to get it all done right on time, and so here I am. Fashion will be late, you know, like a musician would be.
All good. No worries. You know, that's why I pushed the space to 830.
And you're still late for the space. Yeah, for you. Still late for the space. It's okay.
Yeah, I was sitting on the edge of my seat at fucking 459. And then I'm looking half an hour later today.
I knew that.
What's happening?
It's funny because you've mixed it up
and there's been times where I thought it was 5.30
and it was 5
because I co-hosted a few times for you, right?
But anyway, it seems to change.
Today, I was totally waiting for the 5 p.m.
and then I looked at the post again
and I was like, oh shit.
This is exactly why I like to give my co-host reminders like hey are you still good for like and then I'll say the time just to make sure because I feel like sometimes it does
change and sometimes people get that mixed up like Devin was literally a half an hour late to
the space because that it started later yeah there was one time I co-hosted and I was like
15 20 minutes late or something because
it was a 5pm day and not a 5.30 day.
Like today.
Yeah, I'm not sure.
It still shows me as a co-host,
so I don't know what's happened.
We don't have three co-hosts,
so I'm not sure how that's... It's super glitchy.
Spaces are weird,
There's four co-hosts.
It shows Pugs as a co-host.
He's a tri-host.
Might just be my split personality.
We are all the co-hosts now.
Welcome to the land of co-hosts.
Wow, Joe, good to have you.
I'm happy that you made it.
I'm going to run a track real quick.
Since Joe is the one-man band, right?
But he is also Mr. Piano Man, right, on the keys.
I'm going to run this little ditty.
Please repost the space.
And it's going to buy me a few minutes to kind of send out some DMs
and pin some stuff in communities.
So I appreciate you guys to take.
All right. If you want to.
Oh, my God, Becky.
Look at her butt.
It is so big.
I like big butts.
This is Richard.
She's what?
Yes. You get sprung when I pull up top Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
My homeboys try to warn me
But that butt you got makes me so
Cause I'm long and I'm strong
And I'm down to get the friction on
So fellas, fellas
Has your girlfriend got the butt tell her to shake it shake it
shake that healthy butt baby got back baby got back baby got back baby got back
Baby got back L.A. Face with Oakland Booty
L.A. Face with Oakland Booty
Oh, double R, oh, oh
L.A. Face with Oakland Booty
So ladies, ladies
If you wanna roll in my Mercedes
Then turn around, stick it out, even white boys gotta shout
Baby got back Baby got back Baby got back Baby got back
Little in the middle but you got much back
Little in the middle but you got much back
Little in the middle but you got much back
Baby got back, back back back oh my god
I can't believe that I did not know about him until recently
and I heard one of his songs
Chris introduced me to him
apparently everyone's been listening to this guy
I know Lucius you know about him
but I went through a bunch of his songs and listened to them
down with the sickness is fucking sick Like that shit is so cool.
He's got chopped soup. Oh my Pugs, you better knock that shit off right now.
Bing bong. Oh my God. Pugs has a sound clip from a space where I was doing a very terrible
impression of Tony doing his
impression of whatever it is that he does when he says drop that mic and it sounds horrible
it's so bad hold on I'm actually pressing a goat that I bought on Amazon with my fingers AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Lick my pussy and my crack, my neck, my back.
You understand, you know.
Yes, we do.
Well, guys, welcome.
Thank you, everyone, for joining Drop the Mic with me.
And for the first time, co-host, been trying to find some time to get him up here.
We've got Mojo.
We've got my boy Mojo.
And then we also have Jules.
Oh, that was fun.
Very excited to have those of you
posting with me tonight. Appreciate you so much for
supporting the space and being here with me.
It's awesome. Thank you
to all of you for joining.
I do this every Thursday at who knows what time.
I can't keep track. Neither can Jules,
apparently. Every Thursday,
somewhere between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. my time.
Anywhere from 4 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. at night, you can find us.
Welcome to Recorder Session 1.
No, but Richard Cheese actually does that song.
He does My Neck, My Back song.
The rap song.
Yeah, he does.
Okay, okay.
Just saying what that was.
Yeah, yep.
We got it.
I was going to play that song.
Then I was like, maybe I'll do something different.
Okay, I'll shut up now because I sound dumb.
Don't be rude.
I love Jules' soundboard.
Wait, wait, is that Trump?
Don't be rude.
Do not be rude.
They're eating the dogs.
They're eating the dogs.
They're eating the dogs.
They're eating the cats.
Eat the cats.
Eat the cats.
Oh my gosh. Jules, keep going. Jules came prepared tonight. Eat the cats. Eat, eat. Oh my gosh.
Yo, keep going.
Jules came prepared tonight. Let's go.
I love it.
I went and got myself a big tall Americano before I started this race.
Locked and loaded, baby.
Excuse me, sir. You had a tall Americano.
It's actually only a medium.
But you had a big one this morning when I tapped in with you at 11 a.m. my time.
11 a.m.? Oh yeah, I did. 11 a.m.?
Oh, yeah, you're right.
It's the same one.
I just been sipping it for hours.
I drink it black, though.
It's only like two calories a freaking liter, you know?
Oh, my God.
You're so caffeinated.
I love it.
It's also on an IV drip if you need it that way.
It just dripped in.
We got two energy balls up here.
And I'm drinking some caffeine as we speak because I rode 14 miles for the first time in two years.
And I was like, that was a poor decision.
Oh, you got out and did the thing.
That's amazing.
I did the thing.
Sorry, I was rugging out when you were telling that story.
I kept, like, I was having trouble staying in the space when you were telling that story.
Oh, no, big deal.
I just think I was inspired.
So that was the story, though, 14 miles. That's amazing I was inspired. So that was the story though, 14 miles.
That's amazing.
Good for you.
Yeah, yeah.
But also poor decisions.
Like don't do that on the day you're going to host a space until God knows what time
because I came home and I was like, I'm tired.
So yeah, magnesium.
Get the shit out of yourself this evening for sure.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
If that's the first time you've rode in a long time, I would โ€“ and, I don't actually, I shouldn't ask you how much you weigh. That's
true. But anyway, I'm assuming that you should probably take.
Like 135 pounds.
Okay. So yeah, maybe like 400 milligrams. If you have magnesium pills, like 400 milligrams
before you go to bed this evening.
And like, oh, that's too bad.
Elevate your legs and let all that lactic acid come out of your legs before you go to sleep.
You know what I mean?
Oh my God.
Yeah. But I hope you're sore tomorrow. I it feels great where's it gonna go all that all that
yeah but it just allows it allows fresh blood to go into your legs because you pumped your
legs so much in that ride it's gonna ooze out like sweat that's what i'm that's what i'm visualizing
joe that's literally what i'm visualizing it going to come out of your fucking butthole.
What are you talking about?
You know, you could have like AJ just suck it out of the foot.
This is crazy.
All right, fine.
Never mind.
Never mind my fitness.
Never mind my fitness.
We're going down a rabbit hole.
Let's do a host round of the space.
What do you say?
We've got people coming in in we're talking about acid pot coming out i don't know what about
epsom salt do you have epsom salt you probably like a nice bath no i don't i don't have i don't
have anything do you have buddy epsom salts i have no epsom salts no you just are taking care of
yourself i'm gonna be reminding you you don't have your pharmacy i'm gonna be i'm gonna be
checking in with you every two, three days.
I'm going to expect two or three rides a week to make sure that you're getting your goodies.
Apparently, you know a lot about this stuff, so you need to talk to me.
Like on the back end, tell me all this stuff because I have no idea what you're talking about, to be honest.
You still knew it was good for you and you didn't care.
I'm plotting you.
Ain't that the truth? So you need to know. Yeah. I'm going to have to hit you up, Jules you did it, Karen. Yes. Sliding you. Yes, that is, ain't that the truth.
That's all you need to know.
Yeah, I'm going to have to hit you up, Jules.
But hey, guys, thank you so much for joining.
I see we got a whole bunch of people hanging out down there.
Chris, you better get your butt up here.
So I've seen you guys wait and have a conversation with you.
He's asking if you're coming to the space, so I'm curious like what this is about.
And thank you, everyone, for being here.
Please repost the space.
And hello to Pugs who came up and took a mic. And Dante. about and thank you everyone for being here please repost the space and hello
to pugs who came up and took a mic and Dante it's good to see you guys figure
we can get it we'll get Chris up here we can kick things up
what's up Chris how? How you doing?
Sorry, I'm a little busy.
I just unclogged my toilet.
Don't ask.
You asked.
It's good now,
people. It's okay.
It's no longer an emergency.
I took care of it.
I'm a nurse.
I don't know what I want to know.
Never mind.
I'll censor myself.
No, you don't have to keep it.
You can share it.
Come on. This is the time to...
This is the safe space.
So this is actually
what I was waiting for.
Welcome to Kara's safe space.
Is this what the big
surprise is Suavecito?
The surprise
is that Suavecito is secretly a plumber.
Oh my god jules yo this is a comedy show tonight
this is gonna be a fun night guys
you're not gonna lack for energy
that's for sure
I had coffee but it was a little
earlier so wish me luck.
Chris, Kara rides for 14 hours.
Oh, good luck, Chris.
And then sucks the blood out of her toes.
Is that what she said?
Wait, what?
Wait, what?
I never said that.
You never said that?
I did not say that.
Something got lost in translation.
No, it was magnesium, not blood. Magnesium. Oh, okay. Blood. Whoever said that I did not say that something got lost in translation
No, it was blood
place okay oh my god guys listen hi everybody hi hello hello everyone
hi everybody i'm just gonna sit here for a second i need to recoup myself
you're gonna sit here on the toilet just no no no that's done i no. That's done. I left the bathroom. I'm in my...
You guys want to hear a fucking song that I can't stop listening to?
I have this thing.
I hyper-focus on music for a bit.
So when I really get tapped into a song, I probably listen to it a dozen times.
I get that song.
Go for it.
You guys want to hear this one?
Yeah, go for it.
This is actually one that has happened to me before with this one.
So it's not like anything new.
But this is the one I'm on right now.
It's called Watch...
This is a live cut too. So yeah, we'll see if I can go all the way through. But as long as... It's actually to me before with this one, so it's not like anything new. But this is the one I'm on right now. It's called Watch the... This is a live cut, too, so, yeah, we'll see if I go all the way through.
But as long as...
It's actually fucking good.
It's called Watch the Walls Meltdown by Mattis Gowhue.
Oh, I'm already partly through it.
Here we go. I'm on my side, victory is near. Broken circles, incomplete dreams.
In the box, I'm out of the box.
I'm covered in tarp of the hallway.
Be your acidic reggae superstar.
Breaking out, I'm listening close.
Dancing on tables with my hands in the air.
Initials and images ain't fair.
Leave from within in the box.
I said the sky fly over the night coast to
coast continents small world and that the world are maybe i'm tripping flashing lights wings spread
don't answer anymore i'm headed for the door i live for the core
i watch the walls melt up watch them fade away throw my hands to the sky
I watched the walls melt down
Watch them fade away
Took my freedom back
I backed up the dive sack
I cracked it
I watched the walls melt down
I watched them fade away
Throw my hands to the sky
Watch the walls melt down
I watch them fade away
I'm on a night walk where talk is cheap
The reapers close to the willows weep
They will try and fail
You will one day for May I may, raise my soul,
purgatory, go dance on the way,
where the people wave, and the mountains raise.
To speak the truth, must come, come from,
come, coming from a slave.
I smoke more trees than I'm farmed by it.
I got tired now, but just to be tired,
getting higher than the mountain,
climbing lower than the lawnmower,
chopping down the cypher circle up in circle time.
Stiff neck, aches in my spine, weak from the smoke and I'm tired from the wine.
Energy come back to me now, come back, take time, what's mine, claim my name and my place.
Moonlight shines in your eyes.
I watched the walls melt down
I watched them fade away
I threw my hands in the sky
I watched the walls melt down
I watched them fade away
I took my freedom back
I packed up a knapsack I cracked it I watched the fade away I took my freedom back I packed up the knapsack
I cracked it
I watched the walls melt down
I watched them fade away
Alright, now this is the live cut.
So this is where it breaks down into a wicked, just, yeah, beautiful goodness.
I want to let the whole thing run.
I think it's like a six-minute song altogether, but such a good song.
Mattis Yahoo, Watch the Walls Meltdown, live performance from the Pandora House.
Such a good one.
I love that. That's a great vibe. What a groove from the Pandora House. Such a good one. I love that.
That's a great vibe.
What a groove.
That's awesome.
That's a good song.
Really cool.
Thanks for playing that, Jules.
I'm going to have to try to remember that or you can send it to me.
Yeah, I'll send it to you.
But yeah, I figured I'd bring it back to music.
We were getting off the rails there.
Well, thank you.
That was great.
Yeah, it was.
All right, guys. Let's kick this off with a host round
let's do this first we got a whole bunch of people up here
that I'm sure are probably itching to perform
why don't you go ahead and then Jules did you want to share
like I don't know one of your songs
and then I'll go back
I'm happy to listen to live music and chime in tracks
where there's openings for sure
I'm in no rush
I'm just happy to be here.
All right, cool.
All right, Joe, why don't you kick us off?
All right.
So since I've already been called the Piano Man,
I figured I'll just take that as a cue
and see if I can play the Piano Man song from Billy Joel. It's 9 o'clock on a Saturday, the regular crowd shuffles in.
There's an old man sitting next to me, making love to his time.
He can dream.
He says, son, can you play me a memory?
I'm not really sure how it goes
But it sounded, it's sweet, and I knew it completely
When I wore a younger man's clothes
Oh, da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da Sing us a song of the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright
I'm trying to scroll but it doesn't want to help me.
John at the bar, he's a friend of mine.
He gets me my drinks for free. And he's quick with a joke, but a lot of his movies, but there's some place that he'd rather be.
He says, Bill, I believe this is killing me, as the smile ran away from his face, Well, I'm sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place.
Oh, da-da-da-da-da-da.
Oh, da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
Now Paul is a real estate novelist.
Never had time for a life.
And he's talking with Davey, he's still in the Navy, probably will be for life.
You gotta scroll in
The waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes, they're sharing a drink
They call loneliness
Cause it's better than drinking alone Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
When we're all in the mood for the melody
And you've got us feeling alright It's a pretty good crowd, a little Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
Cause they know that it's me
And they've been coming to see
To forget about life for a while
And the piano sounds like a carnival
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, man, what are you doing here?
La-da-da-da-da-da La-da-da-da-da-da
Hey, sing us a song on the piano band
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood
What a melody
You've got us feeling alright Wow what a way to kick it off!
Let's go. Oh, God. He did it. Oh, yes.
Once I get the fart sound, I nailed it.
Guys, if you don't know, that's just a little inside joke between me and Joe.
I hit the wrong sound one time late at night, two o'clock in the morning.
It was a fart sound.
And he played this gorgeous song.
I was like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry.
I didn't mean to hit that.
And now I have to do it every time because I don't do a joke.
I'll be offended if you don't do it.
I just want to make sure the people in this space know what that's about.
I know you think I suck.
It's clear.
Joe, that was freaking incredible.
Turn down the sock.
I got to dial back the sock. You're right.
The way you carried that song into that last hook at the very end was beautiful.
Beautiful.
Yeah, normally I play harmonica on this one, but I can't find the neck holder. so to go back and 14 harmonica and piano is a little difficult without the harmonica holder.
So just, you know, you can hum it in your head.
There we go.
Absolutely.
I thought it was great.
All right.
That's all I need to know.
Jules, did you say you are going to run a track or no?
I'm happy to hear the live music first.
Okay. I can slide in wherever.
Most people have heard my live music.
All right.
Sounds good.
Here we go.
I will play some sax today.
I was going to try not to be like, can you please play me some sax?
You're going to be like, this girl is so fucking annoying.
I will. I will.
That would be awesome.
All right.
I haven't done this one in a while. She only come out at night
Late in hungry time
Nothing new
Seen her here before.
Watching her writing, sitting with you, eyes on the door. Music And if love ain't gon' get too far
Oh, here she comes
Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes
She's a man to eat up
Oh, there she goes.
Watch out, boy.
She'll chew you up.
Oh, there she goes.
She's a man of ether.
Wouldn't if I were you know what she can do?
She's a deadly man, really grab your whole world apart Mind over matter
Good is there, pieces in her heart
Oh, when she comes, watch out, boy, she'll chew you up.
Oh, when she comes, she's a man to eat up.
Oh, when she comes, watch out, boy, she'll chew you up.
Oh, when she comes, she's a man to eat up
Oh, here she comes Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up
Oh, here she comes, she's a man to eat up
Oh, here she comes Watch out, boy, she'll chew you up So good.
I love the swing.
Thanks, guys.
That was a fun one.
That was great.
I love that you
you turn that
into your own song
we all know that song
we know the recording
but for you to
slow it down
put your own spin
to put your own
interpretation of it
that's when you become
more than just a musician
you become an artist
so brilliant
Kara's feeling it tonight
big time hey thanks
yeah appreciate you guys cara you you definitely feel it sounds like you're very confident and just
i mean you kill that entire track no hiccups and i'm i'm used to that for you but i know you're one
of those artists hard on yourself always looking out do your last effort right so i don't know how
you felt about that and that's you know i know there's a lot of people on stage but good job keep doing what you're doing hosting and killing
a girl because and everybody in the room i don't want to skip mojo good to see you jules what's up
man you know what it is pugs see xavier a lot of people in the house so i look forward to some good
music and jules i might have to request a horn from you know mojo can pull the horns out bro um
if that does happen don't you know no no pressure can pull the horns out, bro. If that does happen, don't, you know, no pressure.
Cause I know you don't always have your trumpet right next to you.
So yeah. Thank you so much.
I actually made a couple of mistakes.
That was good that you guys didn't notice.
Cause I was like, Oh shit.
Well, we're listening just to enjoy at least me.
I'm over here, you know, doing a little work and just like, oh my God.
And reminiscing on when that song came out.
And, and all that, you know, cause I, I just grew up with music like that from the, from the folks and stuff.
And so, um, yeah, it's like, it's like a time warp, but you put such your own spin on it.
I know it was that song at first until I started really listening to the lyrics.
But when you played the music out, I never know.
I don't know about the rest of you guys,
cause I'm not as musically inclined as everybody up here.
You know, traditionally speaking, but anyway,
let's get back to the music guys.
Well, just, I want to throw in here too, Kara said, you know,
I made some mistakes. I'm glad nobody noticed.
That's because there's two ways to listen to a song.
Flippity jippity nonsense.
You can listen with your ears, right?
Where you're listening for technical stuff, or you listen with your heart where you listen just for the feel. You just want
the good feeling. And so I made mistakes in Piano Man as well, but it's about what kind of emotion
are you communicating? What vibe are you putting out the energy? That's way more important than
the technicality. Yeah, I agree with you, Joe.
And those are all really excellent points.
I made a couple of vocal mistakes there too.
Here's the thing, guys, is that every time I do it by myself, I'm like, this sounds good.
And then I get in front of an audience and I'm like, I fucked up somewhere.
It always happens.
I'm just learning to roll with it.
It's only proof that you're not AI.
only proof that you're not ai yeah i am human and i make a lot of mistakes so yeah i want somebody
I am human and I make a lot of mistakes.
to make an ai version of like a musician making a mistake maybe well maybe we don't it's coming
that's the one thing that i don't like about ai it's like it's just it's it's like the whole
thing is built off of top 40 perfected music so it's like ai engines came on took a bunch of top
40 music without asking the artists programmed their ai with it and now people are just pumping
out top 40 style perfectly polished music that fucking ruined the music industry to begin with
so i think it'll have its flash in the pan it's cool no hate but uh yeah i don't know i'm not really fuck ai music fuck that shit i think
there's gonna be a resurrection of authentic music to i really do i feel like it's gonna
have its day but rents course but i see uh we should listen your hand up but uh i mean i have
messed with it don't get me wrong but um yeah it's just it's just a whole different category you know you
know we both analog and like or just at least uh uh crate digging and loops and and different i
mean different styles but same idea and aesthetic right jewels like we're not gonna sit and grab ai
for two prompts to make a beat and call it good but i don't know man so much gray matter on what
ai is anymore but lucius uh i see you've had a hand up for a bit.
Yeah, I think he's trying to get in the queue, so I'm going to let you guys know what the queue looks like real quick.
Also, very quickly on the AI music, I understand that.
We do have some, we have very talented people that roll through the space that actually
use AI music to create their own music, and I've really enjoyed what I've heard there,
but I get all of the there's a it is uh
an open can of worms that I don't want to touch because we can talk about it all night um but so
I want sorry go ahead Joe before we before we leave that subject just want to throw a little
something there is that AI as we know it now and it's evolving but as we know it now AI is an echo
of what real musicians have created so So it was described very clearly.
They took all this music from real musicians who created music
and then created an algorithm to mimic it and or tweak it a bit, right?
So that's still, it's all an echo of what we've created.
So we still are the ones who are setting the tone.
Now that may change, but so far AI is behind us
because it's only picking up
what has already been done.
It's not creating anything new yet.
Right, there's nothing
that they can do
that's really, truly...
You can feed your own lyrics and stuff.
Don't get me wrong.
You can put your own lyrics into it.
I don't want to say
it's not completely original
because I know some people
are putting their own lyrics in.
The one that I have created
to try it out, I put lyrics into Suno and created a song.
And it's all right.
I'd rather hear someone like Danger or something like that play.
It's something that I wouldn't generally do.
But yeah, I'd still like to hear Danger or someone else put some justice to it rather than the AI at the end of the day.
But that's just me.
It still cannot, it can only mimic what a human can do it's it's very
intelligent and creative in doing what a human can do but it's just a reflection of what humans
can do it's not and it's not that intelligent yet it will be it will be original but i mean in the you know 10 years or so
it yeah once there's like editing involved i think like there's not really a lot of like
post-production editing tools available for the ai stuff yet so it's like it really just kind of
spits out a generic thing and you don't uh you know i don't know i haven't actually tried that
new version somebody's told me that now you can pull apart the stems. Like, you know, like, Suno will
actually deliver you different stems for the music and stuff. I don't know. This is maybe
a conversation that goes too deep that I don't even want to get into. I'd rather hear people
play a lot of music than go to this topic.
Just real quick. The only AI that I recognize personally is Allen Iverson. Let's go.
Practice. We're talking about practice.
With that, guys, again, thank you so much for joining. You got Drop the Mic with Mojo and Jules up here with me. Please repost the space if you like what you're hearing. We appreciate
you so much for being here. So the list that i have right now is so everyone knows where they're
at we've got suavecito and then we've got lucius pugs chris dante rabbit and then xavier and i see
a lot of really talented people hanging out down there in the listening section guys so if you do
want a mic get your butts up here please love to hear from you suito, what you got for us?
Yo, Ashley, can you skip me for now and tag me in the
end? Put you at the end?
Set up real quick. Yeah,
put me at the end. Real quick, Karen, do you
know how long you'll be running the show for?
in about 45 minutes.
No, no, it's
okay. I don't expect you. I don't do a lot of, you weren't putting me on the spot as well. You were doing. No, God, Krem, I thought I missed you. Yeah, but I'll do it. No, no, it's okay. I don't expect, I don't do a lot of,
you weren't putting me on the spot
as all you were doing.
No, it'd be like a minute,
but it's no big deal.
I'm here to enjoy music.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So let me get through Lucius and Pugs first,
and then we can squeeze you in.
Does that sound good?
Oh, that's pert, oh.
That'd be awesome.
All right, cool.
So we'll do that.
So Lucius, Pugs,
and then we'll get Krem in there, and then we'll get uh creme in there
and then we'll go to chris we've also got mella and one g up here hey guys all right lucius what
did lucius just dib out
yeah lucius disappeared.
Literally, like, his turn.
And he just... Okay, well...
The Matrix took him.
Alright, we'll wait for him to come back.
Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
Alright, well, Pugs, the math ain't mathin'.
What we're missing, too.
Pugs, how are you tonight?
Didn't really get a chance to, like, hear your voice or anything.
How you doing?
You good in the garage? Hey, what's hey what's happening yeah hey I got a song
awesome different setup so hopefully the acoustics are all right I know Chris does this one
so I'll let her step down here tonight
I'll try to tell before her all the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve as I've done from the start
Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns it on
Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on Do I have to tell the story of a thousand rainy days since we first met?
It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting well
Every little thing she does is magic, every thing she do just turned me on
Even though my life before was tragic, now I know my love for her goes on
My love for her goes on
I was off to call her
A thousand times a day
And ask her if she'll marry me
In some old-fashioned way
But my side appears to greet me
Long before I reach the throne
Long before my tongue has tripped me Must I always be alone
Every little thing she does is magic Every things she do just turn me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on
Every little thing she does is magic
Every things she do just turn me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on
Every little thing Every little thing
Every little thing she does is magic
Magic Every little thing she does is magic, magic You, you, you, you, you, you.
Oh, wow! That's so fun!
You get, like, the entire soundboard for that song.
That was pure magic.
That was incredible.
I love that song so much.
You did that so, so well.
What chords were you playing on that?
That was, like, those were different.
Yeah, it's, i was on capo three
but it's using a lot of open chord voicings like a g major a major those are pugs chords oh b minor
c-carp minor the shape but relatively capable three but yeah it's like a lot of the i don't know
john mayer dave matthews playbook of open chord voicings.
Oh, I loved it so much.
Especially the bridge.
He took the bridge a whole other direction,
which was awesome.
Yeah, and also the percussion on the guitar. Yes.
That shit was awesome.
Yes, it was so cool.
I love that.
Absolutely. Great job, Puts. Turned the guitar into a cool. I love that. Absolutely. Great job, Puts.
Turned the guitar into a drum. I love it.
Great to see you guys.
You too, Puts. You too. I'm so happy you're here.
Krem, you are sooner than you thought.
Are you ready? Oh, wow.
I was like, she's just over here blowing away.
Yo, great track. I gotta follow that. that all right hold on let me cue up let me let me cue up one second i'm sorry
i should have known i should have known you're all good hey it's not like i didn't say the list
i'm just kidding no no i got you right now i got you right now i'm cute nice zinger ready yeah i'm cute up
i love i love this i'm cute up good job jules yeah thank you all right so here we go Oh, my God. We'll be right back. Every world, every, every, every world, every world is strict.
Every world, every, every, every, every, every world is strict. Oh, she's all going up. Okay.
Oh my god.
I'm not ready for that.
Yo, that was sick.
Absolutely, insanely just sick.
That was hot, bro.
Appreciate it.
I'm really, you know,
was spending time...
Is that new?
Go ahead, Joel.
Is that actually new?
Is that a new production?
Yeah, yeah, pretty new.
It's something that I have
like 15 renditions of
and I'm trying to get
the patterns down
to where it's not just
freestyle, so... I like it, man it man yeah the tempo is good on that one and the bass hits man
bro creme that was hard as fuck oh my god a lot of times yeah appreciate a lot of times like i've
just played normal breaks like normal djs do i was like i'm just gonna tailor some beats with
some drops to really compliment and stuff like that. So I appreciate you guys for listening
Contributing and throw me the cue care Jules everybody mojo, you know what it is plugs
Man talented people in this space. That's all I know and uh, always wished I could pick up an instrument
It's like a turntable. You can almost use anything to scratch with it was the closest I could do it as a kid.
Kram, I loved everything about that except for the fact that you stole my song because that's exactly the song I was going to play.
Just kidding.
That was awesome.
One of us is going to have to change.
One of us is going to have to change.
I'll try something different next time for you, Mojo.
Hey, I'll stick around.
I'll stick around.
I want to hear the
trumpet solo on that i want to run it back and let mojo play trumpet solo that's a great idea yeah
hey you know we get with shenanigans with those collabs yeah that was i was i was very impressed
with that i was very impressed with i was not expecting that at all thank you so much for
coming up appreciate you you coming through.
Anytime I can hit your space, Carrie, I see it on the, man, I don't know about the algorithms
and, you know, there's a lot of musicians.
We could talk about things more than algos, but yeah, X just been acting up and the sound
quality, the fact you said you could hear some bass in it, Jules, I'm just thankful
So, and you guys listen to this.
Well, it's very low like i'm and i'm wearing
headphones so i don't know if anybody else heard it out of their phones but yeah i mean i i know
it's there you know what i mean like i know it's i know it's not low though it was low well because
i mean that's it's probably 40 hertz on that too or something like that yeah about 40 it was about
40 hertz yeah so it's but i know i know it's there i can 40 points yeah there you go but anyway yeah
no man that was dope you know i just want to comment here is that we all know that x in terms
of musician music quality and frequency and bandwidth and all this stuff sucks right we've
all these problems and yet here we are all these years later we're still together still coming to
play our music with all the limitations right of, of the compression and the glitching and all that kind of stuff, which just, to me, is such a testament to the power of music.
If anybody knows that reference, it's perfect.
I have no idea what that was.
It's fucking from it's from Mad mad tv it was like it was the
segment called lowered expectations and it's like oh i forgot about that
mad tv and that's that's what we do in music space we just lower our expectations a bit for
quality and we just enjoy the vibe and the frequency everyone's putting out and uh it's
a good time once you get past that but if you're listening in headphones like i when i when i do
spaces now i i don't use my AirPods.
I actually got the plug-in set that goes into the USB thing.
And I actually find the audio that comes through is pretty good
and then it's easier for talking that way too.
But anyway, with headphones or a Bluetooth,
it's really actually not that bad.
It's just like listening to a radio or something.
Yeah, an AM radio for those of'm trying i'm trying to i'm
trying to see the silver lining here that has a nostalgic feel listening to radio
just for nostalgia and a mono radio that's just slightly off of frequency but other than that
it's perfect so good so i really enjoy it perfect i use airpods i found that work out they work out
well i like being able to cure people.
I've had this pair of AirPods. I use the corded ones now because I've had this pair of AirPods since like, I don't know, 2018 or 2019.
And they've been like left in the driveway like dirt overnight in the rain.
They've been in like, I fell asleep in the bath once with them in my hand and was like, they were like underwater.
So the music still pumps out of them.
But the mics don't fucking work on them anymore.
And I like refuse.
As he said that his mic levels started getting super low.
I don't know.
Are they in the rain?
Are you in the rain now,
Are you in the rain now?
Yeah. Your mic started doing weird stuff, bro.
It's because I opened the top on my AirPod case.
Maybe it tried to connect.
I don't know.
Yeah, you need to reconnect yourself so we can hear you better, please.
All right.
Let's check in with Chris and see if she is done doing whatever it is that Chris does.
Yes, girl.
With the bathroom,
toilet, whatever.
How is it going?
When she's doing the space,
I'm unclogging my toilet.
I'm very capable of doing many things,
See as a woman, hear her roar.
She don't mean no man.
I don't mean no man.
Because there's a very important reason i know i know why i'm just saying men usually do that kind of stuff like a handyman
yeah i thought it was empress for a second i was like
good for you girl hi yes how are you i'm good Let's go for an original. I don't know. I don't always do it. Let's do it. This song is called Fall Into Cracks. music
Don't have too much time to wait or think twice
I gotta make up my mind this time
You've caught my eye and now i'm wondering why or maybe i knew it back from the start
thought i gave you a few things that i have i guess me and my heart's not enough
Sinking slowly to the depths of melancholy Why do you have to take it all back?
Thought you showed me the meaning of true love Thought I knew and maybe just haven't found love once so far Once or for now, gotta stay on my ground Before I fall into these cracks again
Precious moments that we've stolen for my lips, words were spoken, I'm glad I had a chance to show you.
I've forgotten just how much I really have.
Why do you have to take it all back?
Thought you'd shown me the meaning of true love.
Thought I knew it maybe just haven't found me
me just haven't found now
yeah I've fallen this time again Do you believe in the second chance?
Before I fall into these cracks Thought you showed me the meaning of true love
Thought I knew it maybe just hadn't found that one so far now gotta stay on my ground
before I fall into these cracks again
I'm sick and slow into the dust of Malachi Thank you, everybody.
Am I still underwater?
Am I still underwater?
Tell me I'm not underwater anymore.
No, you sound better.
You sound better.
You sound better.
We need your soundboard.
I don't know if I've heard that one.
I don't always.
So side note, a short story.
I produced that so that my friend Dennis can release it in his album.
So that's my version. So the one that's on Spotify is him singing in it.
But I did, I produced that for him.
We kind of collaborated in some of the arrangement a little bit towards the end.
Because he wanted to, well, basically that album was him trying to just collaborate
with multiple singer-songwriters.
And I happened to have two of my songs that I shared with him.
One was me actually singing.
The other one was this, was him.
He performed this one in that particular song.
But that's my version of it.
Beautiful.
Love the guitar work always chris
killing it agreed chris that was gorgeous i love that song thank you yeah me too yeah i love that
you felt so comfortable with it i mean the feel that came across anyway is that you were very
comfortable with that song you weren't searching for anything or trying to figure it out you were just letting it flow from you and that made for a great vibe loved it thanks and like and no matter
how many times i hear you play like i think every time you just like those first few flicks on the
guitar i'm just like i'd perk off i'm just like you know i'd like forget that it's going to be
that good you know what i mean just your your skills on the guitar are really uh yeah like i
don't like like Pugs is amazing
But I think there's not many seconds
Everyone else is second to you guys
She's the female Pugs
I don't mind that
Pugs knows that
Oh I like it
Pugs, what say you?
Hey sorry I'm popping in and out Oh no worries I like it. Pugs, what say you? Hey, sorry.
I'm popping in and out.
Oh, no worries.
We're saying that Chris is the female Pugs
because both of you are so incredibly talented.
I think it was Jules that coined that phrase.
And he said it again.
Yeah, I'm after it again.
He came back to it, right?
He said it again.
Listen, I don't mind that.
It's okay.
That's a compliment to both of you, by the way.
Love Pugs.
Thank you, guys.
Pugs loves.
Thank you, Chris.
All right, guys.
Next up, we've got Dante chilling out down there.
What's up, Dante?
How are you tonight?
Chilling with you all.
Welcome, welcome, welcome to everyone.
I'm so glad to be here.
Thank you, guys.
No, I'm so happy to be here.
I'm going to sing an old song in the 80s.
I'm not going to talk too much.
I hope everyone's having a great day, wherever you are in this beautiful world.
Here we go.
You with the sad eyes, don't be discouraged, though I realize it's hard to take courage
in a world full of people. You can lose sight of it all in the darkness inside. You can make you feel so
small. But I see your true colors shining through. I see your true colors and that's why I love you.
So don't be afraid to let them show your true colors.
True colors are beautiful like a rainbow Show me a smile then
Don't be unhappy, can't remember when
I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy and you've taken all you can bear,
you call me up because you know I'll be there.
And I'll see your true colors shining through.
shining through I see your true colors and that's why I love you so don't be
afraid to let them show your true colors your true colors are beautiful like a rainbow.
So if this world makes you crazy, you've taken all you can bear, you call me up because you know I'll be there.
And I'll see your true colors shining through.
I see your true colors and that's why I love you.
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid
To let them show
Your true colors
True colors
True colors are shining through
I see your true colors.
And that's why I love you.
So don't be afraid to let them show your true colors.
true colors, true colors are beautiful like a rainbow. acapella man
right always with that acapella
I like that song
I got the cow man thank you Mojo
I got the cow I'm so happy
absolutely that is only a compliment, right?
Because we want more.
So Dante, it's been said in many different ways,
but I just want to compliment you too on your freedom
and your courage to sing a cappella.
No music track.
A cappella is so exposed,
and most people do not have the courage to do that
because they're so self-conscious of their voice.
And you came to give and you gave your song
and we got to enjoy it.
So I applaud you, my brother.
Way to go.
Real blast.
Real blast.
Thank you, Mojo.
You know, you and everyone in this room inspire me
to come here every week and just, you know,
participate and sing a song and just listen in i
love you all uh you're so talented uh chrissy and uh meli b i've heard in other spaces unbelievable
talents you all are para mia mojo um you know macha i see in here we've been in spaces together
wonderful people um even more uh than. So God bless all of you.
Thank you so much, Dossie.
Aww, I love that.
I love, love.
Jules said something really, I really loved your energy this morning, by the way, in your space.
I tuned in for a bit.
He's doing a lot of positive talk.
He was saying something.
My vibe right now, now my frequency my frequency is
i was rambling don't go and throw me no but i loved it because it resonated i loved it
uh i was fucking on a rant this morning and i said we can all relate to that though at times
right and i said frequency so high only love can reach us basically for my community really and
that was kind of just sort of anyway anyway yeah yeah but you're talking about like the toxicity and people in spaces doing bullshit and all i'm not going to
get into it but the whole thing and you're talking about how like who's got time for that go sit at
the kids table we're all at the kids table like the rest of us are just trying to hang out you
know have a good time yeah i loved everything that you said and i was like my frequency is love
don't want to deal with the negativity and the bullshit and i feel feel that. It's just like, you know what I mean?
Like, it's like, you know, and everyone's like, oh, open, you know, this and that and
express yourself or whatever.
But it's like, you know, it's really easy to be negative.
It's really easy to talk about people.
It's really easy to get yourself in the shitter and in the dumps.
You know what I mean?
Like, it takes conscious effort to be an optimist, to fucking try to be positive.
And it's like, no matter what's going on.
So, yeah, we're all people.
We can talk through some shit for sure. But, yeah, getting hung up on the negativity is just something that, you know positive and it's like no matter what's going on so yeah we're all people we can talk through some shit for sure but um yeah getting hung up on the on the negativity is just something
that you know and it's i've run it's like a it's a crypto space that i do so it's a little bit of
a different environment than these music spaces where we don't see a lot of that kind of you know
it's we're just really just vibing out on our frequencies here and expressing you know artistry
with each other right so it's different than you know a lot of the other spaces but anyway yeah no
i appreciate that and and because of those spaces, you know, a lot of the other spaces. But anyway, yeah, no, I appreciate that.
And because of those spaces too, there's actually a couple that have come from it.
So like there's a lady now that's like doing like a meditation space in the morning
and it's like a mindfulness session.
And then her and another fellow like teamed up
and started doing like an astrology conversation spaces
that like stemmed from the conversations I was having.
So yeah, I appreciate that, Cara.
Anyway, yeah, thanks for that.
Very cool.
I just want to circle back just quickly
to something you said earlier,
just so people don't miss that,
is that negativity is easy, right?
Negativity is our default.
In fact, social science says we have a negativity bias,
which was for our preservation
because we didn't want to die, right?
So yes, it served us well at times,
but it does take conscious effort and energy because we didn't want to die, right? So yes, it served us well at times,
but it does take conscious effort and energy to override that natural default.
And I love the fact that we're doing that right here,
right now in this space.
I love the vibe in this space tonight, guys.
Thank you so much for all being here.
Thank you for supporting.
Appreciate you all.
We have a very, very full stage.
But speaking of someone who has a really positive energy and chill vibe,
we've got the White Wabbit hanging out down there and listener.
And my friend, it is your turn.
And I can't wait to hear what you're going to sing.
How you doing, Rabbit?
Hey, Kara.
Pretty good.
I'll start us out with a new track I've been working on called I Just Want to Heal.
I also see Suave Sito and Xavier here.
I was busting a few bars with them boys in Hood Space earlier this week,
and I might give that to you later on. I just wanna heal, I wanna feel, gonna let it all go.
Find your peace of mind, let it chant until it free flow.
You don't got to be nobody else, go on and be yourself.
There is hole in space, we'll choose to, you know we all love mojo.
We'll just drop them in, get them out, go and soak it all up, we don't got to hear We don't got to hear
Cause I just wanna hear, I wanna feel, gonna let it all go.
Find your peace of mind, let it shine into the free flow.
I don't got to be nobody else.
I'm free to be myself. Oh, yeah. improv improv off the top that was great
uh thanks yeah i've been trying to integrate a little of that
i love that you're doing that and you know what's funny is that I have your song stuck in my head.
So, like, I'll be going about my day, and I'm hearing that song in my head rapid.
So you have a very catchy tune there.
That could be a blessing or a curse.
What's that, Mojo?
Oh, I said getting the song stuck in my head.
Sometimes that's a blessing.
Sometimes that's a curse.
With you, a blessing, sir.
Thank you guys so much. Yeah yeah i'm working on it i did find another rhythm for it but i've been so busy with work i haven't
had time to do any writing but you know it'll progress some with you guys of course yeah that's
the way music is right as musicians keep at it and we all make little incremental improvements
and pick up things from each other, right?
And learn and get inspired and try something.
This is where the, sorry to cut you off.
I just had the thought just to like to blow some air back into his tires there.
Because I feel like artists have a tendency to deflate their own tires.
You know what I mean?
And this is what the difference I mean about like the humanization.
And I really appreciate White Wabbit's contributions to the music space
because it's just so authentically him and original you know what I mean I really enjoy
listening to you play you're one of the like the one of the people that I enjoy listening to play
more because of that that humanization factor so um yeah definitely don't deflate yourself for it
so that was just yeah a little air back for your tires because I really enjoy listening to to what
you bring to the table man a lot because it's just inauthentically, like, it's just you, you know what I mean? And it comes across very,
very genuine in what you do and what you play. So yeah, you definitely make people feel shit,
whether you think so or not. That's for sure. Wow. I'm pumped, Jules. Thanks so much. Huge
ups, buddy. I agree. Yep. What Jules said, 100%. Yeah, what Jules said 100 yeah what jules said i love listening to
jules speak he always says really interesting things flash in the pan airbag in the tires
he's got a lot of really dorky fucking yeah love it
all right we got xavier who's been hanging out for a long time.
And I would love to hear what you want to share.
What's up, Xavier?
How you doing tonight?
Yeah, I'm good.
You know, I literally just always make up a song literally each time I do something.
That's my thing.
I just freestyle.
And whatever happens, happens.
So that's what we're going to do.
Yeah, bring it.
Alright, let's get it.
Never been heard before. Love it.
Love it. Baby with you, baby with me
Maybe we can get in between
Every little thing I think is called love
Baby with you, baby with me
Baby love gets in between this thing
And so, I seen this pretty young girl walking my way
I'm like, yo wait, baby please man man tell me your name I'm just trying to
love you this ain't no effing game I'm like okay baby let me don't misbehave
okay baby you know baby you need every little thing I got what you need don't I see, it can be you, it can be you and me, it can be some divinity, I see, I think, oh.
You see, you got a pretty nice smile, I like like I like the way you just walk and talk
You got this thing I like to groove
To the rhythm of your nice little tune
I'm like, yeah, you know how to make my heart boom
So I'm just, okay, baby, let me see this room
I'm like, baby, you know, baby, you need
Baby, you know I'm what you see when
you're closing your eyes I'm in your mind That's how you make my heart freaking speak That you hear me make my heart beat real quick
Don't quit, yeah I'm talking my shit I just wanna get in between your hips, I'm like, I'm trying to feast all on your skin
With my tongue coming down all over your what, okay
Baby you know I'm what you need, baby you know your soul
Yeah you got me feeling like your gold, shine you shine just like mine, okay?
I guess it's ending the instrumental
Swing, swing, swing.
Yeah, man, that's very vulnerable too
to put yourself on like that,
like, you know,
just to kind of freestyle a song like that.
It's kind of, you know,
I wouldn't say it's the same as an occupant,
like exposure-wise, like Mojo was saying,
but, you know, come out and just, you know,
throw a beat on and just perform something like that,
that, you know,
especially, you know, something sexual the the opposite sex or whatever like it's still
kind of raw and vulnerable so uh yeah i thought it sounded great you could uh you know next time
not that there was anything wrong in them but just in for future the mix there could be like a better
distance between you your music and your mic like your voice like as much as your voice sounded good
like i wouldn't say there was anything wrong with it there,
but your music
could have been
closer or louder
but all in all,
it was great, man.
I gotta turn up
the volume, man.
it could definitely
have some louder
music in there,
but it sounded great.
we can't really
Got the AM radio
going out. You sound like
you're in a tunnel
yeah my bad
yeah it's these headphones
these headphones Jules talking about
having them since 2017
I can't keep them for a week
anyway great stuff I love to add the headphones in to listen
so I can really hear
I gotta dip guys great stuff
hopefully I'll catch you guys on your next
I don't know if you're doing this just every Thursday still
Kara? Every Thursday yeah
Are you doing pop ups as well?
Yeah occasionally
I do some pop ups
Before you go to bed tonight
read up on the Irish goodbye
Yeah I know I should have just done that
I should have just done the irish
goodbye but some people don't like that so that's it you just left say bye feel free no it's all
love man i always thought that funny hey hey hold up everybody let me derail the space i'll just say
i've been irish goodbye and everybody's saying goodbye yeah i just always i did that like the
last few spaces and get these dms yo man are man, are you upset? Really? You just left. I'm like, man. I love the Irish goodbye personally.
Irish goodbye time.
Peace out.
Anyway, yeah, good to see you, Greg.
Thanks for joining.
Thanks for coming through.
Appreciate you.
Always a pleasure.
All right, guys.
Well, you know what?
We've got a Mela B.
We're going to do Mela B.
And then after Mela B is going to be 1G.
Mela B, how are you?
I want to know how your event went in Hollywood. What's up? and then after Melody's baby 1G, Melody, how are you?
I want to know how your event went in Hollywood.
What's up?
Red carpet treatment.
Oh my God.
Hollywood Independent Music Awards.
That's amazing.
Thank you, thank you.
Yeah, it was great.
It was an incredible experience.
Met a lot of really cool people.
Did not take home the award, so yes, that was but um no it was it was just like totally worth going and being involved fantastic oh thank you
it looks good on you out there for sure i took that photo you're all welcome
is that for real no no no definitely, no, definitely not. I'm crying wolf again.
It was actually crazy though.
Cause like, so this was my first time ever doing like a red carpet thing.
And yeah, that came with a lot of nerves, but I got through it.
It was fun.
And I didn't realize that I was going to legit like have to walk up and just like pose for a bunch of different photographers
it's awkward right like oh my god I was like oh shit it's not just like you don't just stand there
like you're like okay now take a couple steps this way okay now take a couple steps this way it's so
weird um you didn't have your 40 poses ready to go?
Oh, my gosh.
I mean, I'm grateful that I've, like, done photo shoots because I cannot imagine being someone that's never done that
and going and doing that for the first time.
That would be, like, even more intimidating because, yeah,
I was shaking in my heels.
But it was cool.
It was fun.
Pretty much like exactly what you watch on the Grammys.
Like they just go through all the categories.
They just get right to it. It's just like, all right, let's get the show on the road.
And they start at category number one.
Here are the nominees.
And then they show your name up on the projector.
And then they announce the winner and
then on to the next one and it was crazy because like my category was like one of the very last
ones so I'm just sitting there drinking my gin and ginger just like fucking stressing out how
many gin and gingers did you get only only one because I was like, if I won, I would have had to go up and do like the award acceptance speech.
So there was no way I was going to go do that plastered.
I just want to like tell you my experience like personally and for me, like, you know, like you get up there and it's just terrible.
I mean, I did witness some.
I would like to thank everyone on Twitter.
I would like to thank everyone on Twitter.
Oh, fuck yeah.
Oh, fuck yeah.
Did you meet anybody that you didn't expect that kind of caught your attention,
run into some celebrity or anything?
I mean, there were people there that, you know when you're looking at someone
and you're like, I know that person from somewhere.
So it was kind of like, yeah, that happened a lot when i was in la but
i didn't see anyone that was like oh my oh my god it's george clooney no i didn't
i didn't see that
well maybe next time because i'm sure this is not going to be the last time that you
are nominated for your music mella you know You know? Thanks. I appreciate that.
By the way, just being nominated puts you in a tiny percentage of the world.
So, I mean, kudos to you.
Yeah, it felt really good to, like, just be, like, recognized.
Because it's a global award thing.
Like, people from all over the world submit their music to be I guess judged and like it's weird
when you think about it but I forgot that I submitted I completely forgot I submit to shit
all the time I'm constantly sending emails so I didn't fucking know and then I I checked my
my junk mail and thank god like it was weird I checked my, my junk mail and thank God, like, it was weird. I checked
my junk mail on the day that they sent out the nomination. So I was like, huh, that's, that's a
cool coincidence. I never really like, sometimes I check it out sometimes at all, you know, you get
busy. So I check it, I see I'm nominated and then I have to decide if I'm going, I decided to go
and I, yeah, I didn't even like, I didn't really like give myself a chance to take it in.
Because it was kind of just like, okay, I guess I'm not, I don't know.
It was just very weird.
Because I forgot.
You were there like you were on a mission, right?
You were on a mission.
You're like, I need to go here.
I need to, there's so much I have to plan and do when I'm here.
And it's like, you didn't have as much time to really like.
No, it happened. And it just so happened to be like, I had so much going on. I was so busy. I
had like, I was packing the night before because I had to play a festival the day before. So I
played a festival, went home, packed up my shit. And then I think I got home at like midnight from
the festival. And then I had to get picked up from the airport taxi at like three in the morning to go catch
my flight.
So it just kind of like everything just really happened really quickly.
But I will say if you go to LA and you want like a day to just like relax and, you know,
have a little bit of a less like hustle and bustle day because I really needed that.
I went to Manhattan Beach and it was the most beautiful and hustle and bustle day because I really needed that I went to Manhattan Beach
and it was the most beautiful and peaceful and serene day that I had there so highly recommend
agreed yes yeah fantastic you were in you're my neck of the woods I didn't get to see you
unfortunately but man you were just miles from where I live so i was happy to have you in the neighborhood oh wow i wish we uh yeah i looking back i'm like i had no time to meet up
with anybody i had a couple people message me and i was like i'm so sorry but that sounds like a lot
next time we'll make we'll make a beach date all right yeah for sure maybe next time i'll be playing
a show absolutely and i'll be time I'll be playing a show.
Absolutely.
And I'll be singing backup vocals for you.
Fuck yeah.
And trumpet.
I'll be playing trumpet on your song.
And then I will say, I don't know if everybody knows this, but I did release a song while I was in L.A., which was kind of a risky move because it was a Monday, first of all.
Second of all, I was in LA. I didn't
have any time to do my usual organic promotion stuff that I do. So I just released One Thing,
Not You casually. Like, here you go. Here's a song. And yeah, people pulled through and
showed a lot of support for that. So I wanted to come on and say thank you,
um, for, you know, showing up, listening to the song, sending me your feedback. There's some
people in here that sent me DMs and told me, uh, you know, they just sent me a lot of like
encouraging words and stuff, um, with me being over there. So yeah, I just wanted to come on
and say thank you.
That's amazing, Mella.
Oh, my gosh.
The song that you released, do you have something that you want to pin in the nest or put in the purple pills?
Oh, sure. Do you know where to find it?
Appreciate it.
Are you going to perform that one?
Sure, I can.
Please do.
I mean, whatever you want to do.
Whatever you've lined up is fine
actually you know what I will do
I'm gonna be mean
and I'm gonna say
if you want to hear it
you're going
listen to the market
you're gonna work right here
I'm so sorry
you should do that
you should do that
be mean to all of us
if you want to hear it
work it baby that's what you gotta do that be mean be mean to all of us yeah if you want to hear it working baby
guess what you gotta do go stream that dance monkey dance
i'm dancing i'm dancing i love it and are you gonna tell us where to find this song yep it's on caramella get it caramel oh nice yum um yeah it's everywhere i mean
anywhere you listen to music anywhere your heart desires
specifically i'm sure it's on band camp though so i would suggest if you're a supporter of me
i don't know if it is on play. Oh, goddammit, Mello.
Dool's acting like he knows.
That's just one place I know Mello releases that you can... Yeah, I haven't put it up yet.
I should do that.
Thank you for the reminder.
Are you looking for music management position?
You never know.
Mixing to mastering to managing maybe listen i am to be
honest oh yeah well photographer manager where is he is that wolf that sounded oh yes sir i am here
oh that wasn't yes i don't know who that was okay wait like someone in here sounds really like
someone else i know and it's tripping me out but but I'm really big. Sing, Bella, sing, baby, sing. Um, okay. I literally just kind of came up to
like, say what up? And then, and now I'm singing. Um, okay. You know, we can't let you get away
with outperforming. No way. You are not leaving without sharing your talent and voice with us. Come on. Okay, I will play you something you have not heard before.
Because I like to do that to myself and put myself in positions of...
Go for it. my bearings My bearings.
You make me sick, I'm falling ill and I can't even hide it, save your smile.
smile. Oh, it's been a while, it's been a while. Silly, sweet, and a touch of madness. Maybe he's
got a past, some type of badass. With a winter stare and skin so fair, oh. go here we go again I'm all choked up I'm a mess
falling into the deep end baby oh oh oh here we go here here we go, go, go again Big brown eyes and a sense of humor
I'd sure like to put him in his place
Maybe at his place
Hold me close, tell me you'll love me if just for tonight I'll stomach the heartbreak.
Honey, I'm not scared, a little unprepared, oh. Here we go, here we go again
I'm all choked up by my mess Falling into the deep end, baby
Oh, oh, oh Here we go, here we go
Here we go, go, go again I'm all choked up, I'm a mess
Falling into the deep end, baby
Oh, oh, oh, here we go
Here we go, here we go, go, go again
Here we go again
Oh, oh, oh Here we go again
Oh, oh, oh
Here we go, here we go, here we go, go, go again
I'm all choked up, I'm a mess
Falling into the deep end, baby.
Oh, oh, oh, here we go, here we go, here we go, go, go again.
Cheese! Oh, my goodness. Jeez.
Wow, wow, wow.
Mela. Oh, my God.
That was beautiful.
I love that you gave us a little song that we've never heard before.
And, guys, if you want to hear more of Mela's music, you can find her literally everywhere except for maybe on
Bandcamp that's hilarious oh yeah Mella I love your style so much always a pleasure to listen
you play so thanks for coming through you can find her everywhere and you can find her on Bandcamp
too you could go buy a previous song I'm sure as a porter still um but yeah tap it she's lovely
and Mella I just want to throw in just the maturity. So I've
known you maybe, what, two and a half years maybe following your music and the stuff you've written
and shared here on X. And just hearing the maturity in your voice, the more professionalism
that you're putting out,
your growth as a musician and as a person,
it's phenomenal.
It's fun to watch.
It's great to be your friend and think that somehow I'm connected to you
as your star rises.
So kudos to you, my friend.
Oh, thanks, Mojo and Jules and Kara.
Thank you so much.
I'm glad you guys like this song.
Melody, your talent makes me more puke.
That's a bit aggressive.
Okay, Jesus.
No, I know that feeling.
I say that stuff a lot.
That's sick, baby.
That's sick.
It's like, ew, that's so good.
I appreciate that.
That one is like brand spanking new.
I just finished writing it. It's
not even done. Like I have like a little bridge in the works, but I just kind of like improvise
that. But yeah, it's brand spanking new. And it's funny because I'm realizing like, I'm going back
in time. It's sometimes I go through like periods of time where I'm like, I don't know what I want
to write about. Like I come up with a melody, but I'm like, I don't know what the lyrics, I don't
have anything to write about right now. And it's cool because I'm like, I don't know what I want to write about. Like I come up with a melody, but I'm like, I don't know what the lyrics, I don't have anything to write about right now.
And it's cool because I'm like finding myself going back in time.
I'm like time traveling to like pull from different periods of my life.
And yeah, I just, I also feel the need to make that clear because when I was,
I played this for my fiance, I was like, don't worry, this is about you.
So yeah, it's brand spanking new.
Hopefully I'll record it soon and you guys can hear. I love that you touch on the time travel thing because we've all experienced that music will take us back to another time and place in
our life. Maybe when we first heard the song or when it really mattered or when it meant something
special, right? So that's cool that as a songwriter,
just you shared a different perspective, the songwriter,
you can go back in time and then write about something that you've experienced.
I also feel like Mella takes you back in time.
Like she's just got this like really old sultry style to her music too.
You know, it's something else. Yeah. Yeah yeah that's a compliment by by the way it's
so good yeah i i love that thank you yeah you have a very beautiful voice mella um do you know
and face god you're pretty and cool yeah do you know the song uh all about us by he is we i do
yeah yeah that song uh you remind me of that song oh that's cool yeah this is you guys are getting
the late late night like uh oh man i always feel so embarrassed when i come into spaces at night because i'm like
i could sing this so much better right now like you know what i'm saying but um i always appreciate
the compliments and i hope that you guys catch me at a show one day so you can be like oh wow
she's on stage and actually doing her thing professionally. Absolutely. Not all baked up because I don't smoke weed before I get on stage.
When Canada tour.
That's what I want to know, Mella.
When are you coming to a city near me?
Stay tuned as Mella.
I will keep you posted.
I don't have any official dates outside of my own local region right now,
but I'm working on it.
It's tough.
It's a matter of time.
It's a matter of time, yes.
I figured it out.
The quality of your voice and the quality of your music,
it's just a matter of time, for sure.
I figured it out.
You have the voice of a speakeasy.
I feel like I should be sipping on like a nice smooth whiskey with rough edges. Yeah.
A nice hot Cotty.
That's how I feel.
Hey, that's a great idea.
That's the best, actually.
She's more like a whine.
It's my dream.
I need, you know what, like, we can all go in on it.
It's my dream to just open up my own little, really cool cocktail bar and like have different like
musicians come in my musician friends like come in and like i just want to fuck that's the dream
you just want to fuck really no you know what i mean you just want to
i did that the other day too fuck i gotta stop have you La La Land? Have you seen the movie La La Land? No, have I?
I don't know.
You need to watch La La Land.
With that Ryan Gosling and... Yeah, Ryan Gosling.
I probably have.
I don't remember.
Music weaved all the way through it,
but the history of opening up his own speakeasy
that fits right in the vibe,
what you're talking about.
But it's well worth watching again,
even if you've seen it already.
Okay, I'll check it out.
Cool, that's a sick compliment, though.
I appreciate you guys. It's all set in Hollywood, check it out. Cool, that's a sick compliment. Thank you, appreciate it.
It's all set in Hollywood,
so it's right on the heels of your trip there.
Yeah, Mella, thank you.
Thank you so much.
Appreciate you, girl.
Thanks for coming through and supporting.
It's good to hear from you.
Stick around, stick around, please.
Love to hear more.
We're going to circle back around.
But I do want to say hi to 1G,
who's been up here waiting patiently.
What is up, 1G?
How are you? I'm well. How's everybody doing? Who's been up here waiting patiently What is up 1G how are you?
I'm well how's everybody doing?
We're doing good
We're doing good
I'm going to play a new one too
That was great to hear
Congrats on all the success
What was that Joel? Sorry I said all the best ones are from Canada you guys notice that
I wouldn't I wouldn't go that I was gonna say it's cuz there's not much to do out here other than smoke weed and play guitar. So that's funny shit.
Yeah, this is a brand new one too.
I like to use these spaces to fuck around and get the craft of the sun
before I record it.
So yeah, this will be a second try in spaces.
This one's called Found a Girl. guitar solo Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, energies feels like it could be fantasy
when I think I may have found a girl
would you do a little twirl for me Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Slide into the DM just to tell you how you make me feel
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
And wouldn't you know this girl is real
And I think, I think she might be cute on me too
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
I think I might have found a girl
Would you do a little twirl for me?
Can't you see
I'm falling
through the forest
and the trees.
And it's all
cause you take me back
I believe.
Believe in me Oh, I think I found a girl
Would you do a little twirl with me?
Would you do a little twirl with me? I got the whole thing.
1G, that was amazing.
Thank you for sharing that with us. What a fucking awesome song, man.
1G's another one who can kind of take you back with his feel to like i feel that like almost
had like some like 50s feel to it this is a compliment to 1g but he has like a steve-o vibe
steve-o okay all right oh fuck that's funny thanks so much appreciate the love like he's
been up all night fucking hacking darts jumping jumping off rooftops and shit? That's not far from the truth.
Fuck, guilty.
That was so good, 1G.
Very good.
Thanks so much.
Yeah, guys.
Oh, sorry.
Go ahead, Joe.
I was going to say, not only is 1G a great musician and a great songwriter, but he has a signature sound.
So I love all of that thank you 1g thanks i don't understand you magician you musicians how you do this shit shut up i'm not allowed to talk anymore
i love that interview i don't know who the artist was it's an interview and the lady's like oh you're
a musician she's like, I'm a magician?
I ain't no magician, whatever the hell you just said.
No, no, you're a musician.
I ain't no magician.
It's ridiculous.
I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying.
And then she goes, I don't think I know.
Yeah, that's the one.
Inconceivable.
I don't think that means what you think it means.
Oh, my God, ridiculous.
Yeah, so we're all magicians in this space, all the musicians,
right? Alright, alright everyone.
Calm down. Hold your
pants. Everything's...
We're holding them. We're holding them.
But what I want to say is that 1G...
You have pants on?
Is everyone wearing pants? I'm wearing pants.
another artist out there who has a lot of original music and dropped an album.
So if you guys aren't familiar with him, I do see some unfamiliar people hanging out
down there in the listening section.
You should definitely give his PFP a tap.
Go check out his profile.
I'm sure the link is in the bio.
He's got everything hooked up in there.
Go follow him and listen to his music.
It is definitely worth it.
It is so good.
Appreciate that, Cara.
Thanks so much.
Yeah, you know where to find music.
It's out there.
I don't know.
I just write, throw it out, see what happens.
Is it everywhere except for maybe on Bandcamp?
I'm not on Bandcamp.
I'm too lazy.
I go to the one-stop shop.
It sends it to all the stores, and I worry about it afterwards.
Distribution Center 101.
Yeah, I like recording and making videos.
That's what's fun for me.
For those who don't know,
I love the fact, 1G,
that you remove yourself from all distractions of society.
You go to some remote location in a cabin
somewhere in the middle of nowhere
so you can just concentrate on your music i think that's been what a great commitment to your to
your craft absolutely man thank you he's out here risking getting eaten by a bear and shit
right not yet i head out in october so i'm i'm in a city right now and just working on kind of the
business side of the music but no oct, going back out to the bush.
So we'll see what happens.
I always hear about this bush from Jules.
I'm like, what is this bush?
And what are you guys doing there?
We can neither confirm nor deny.
The bush is the best place to be.
Like, I wish, honestly, I wish I could just go and be in a cabin in the middle of fucking nowhere where nobody can bug me.
That's what the bush is.
People seriously, they make fun of me for having a cabin in the woods like it's actually some sort of burn.
I'm like, are you for real right now?
Like, isn't that everybody's goal?
To have a couple acres in the woods in a cabin where nobody fucks around like get the fuck out of here what are you talking about
oh absolutely they think you're a serial killer with zero no because if shit goes south listen
if there's a zombie apocalypse you know who's gonna win right you're not wrong the ones that
are living in the middle of fuck nowhere. Because guess what? There's less people.
Well, we all thought that was rude and tell Gene Hackman's story
because that didn't turn out so good.
Stop, Mojo.
I'm sorry.
This will be my third death.
Let me rewind that.
There we go.
Never said it.
This will be my third winter out there
and I'll tell you,
it changes your life, man, to be over there. Absolutely. 100%. Love it. This will be my third winter out there, and I'll tell you, it changes your life, man, to be over there.
Absolutely.
It slows you right down, man.
That's good.
I think everyone needs to disconnect at some point, right?
Let's all converge on one.
No, it's not disconnecting.
It's reconnecting with what's real.
Take your fucking shoes off and connect with the goddamn earth.
Oh, absolutely.
That's in a while. And nature nature yeah like it's really important like people are i think people are just like especially
if you were raised around the city and stuff like that like i get it but like people are afraid to
be alone but you have no idea how freeing it is to become comfortable just by yourself in the woods
like it's just it's so unreal like no when i like when when i'm up in this area like in i'm sorry i'm in the city right now but when i'm up in this area, like, I'm sorry, I'm in the city right now.
But when I'm up in my other area, like when I go for a hike in the woods, like I feel like I'm in my living room.
Do you know what I mean?
Like it's gotten that comfortable for me that I feel like I'm inside when I'm in certain places that I really enjoy outside.
You know what I mean?
So I think everyone's like, oh, disconnect.
It's like, no, that's, for me, it's reconnecting.
It's recharging.
It's me reminding myself how small me and my problems are.
I think it's like clarity, right?
Oh, preach, preach.
Being next to some water as well.
Yeah, and there's no better word for that.
It's just clarity, and that's kind of like,
that's all you need to say about it
because there's nothing, like the silence is just the truth to me.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I love it.
Well, it sounds lovely. lovely sounds lovely all right so what we are going to do guys we see the request
down there so sit tight um so we're gonna go suavecito and then we're gonna check in with
matcha and then we're gonna do a host round and then we will pick back up we'll check in and say
hi to wolf and see if he wants to share any of his boomboxing
or whatever you want to call it.
We've got Eberber up here.
Boomboxing.
I love the boombox.
I have the double A batteries so I can bring it around.
So obviously.
You have a G batteries.
Are you ready?
Boombox with a G battery.
Yeah, ma'am.
Can you guys hear me?
Does it sound okay?
Yeah, I got you.
All right, perfect.
How about the music can you hear the music
Slick through where the pen flows, I illuminate paragraphs, and bring words to life as time
Built upon a foundation of brick walls, the synapses kick into gear as thought patterns
take form.
The words of life written into the book of fate.
We escape a timeline with only our souls.
Even shattered, we can still recreate.
What's lost and broken can be made whole.
The spirit flies as the mind escapes, overcoming temptation of silent song.
The elders lie as the power structure's cage was right to sell wrongs.
Death defines resistance in the face of genocide.
Justice exists only for the strong, lost tribes.
Initiative of police states, when Shackham'silists preach a ghetto Quran, ghetto gospels they
have to deliver.
Imprisoned us in the mental labyrinth.
Step back from the lying samsara, no longer subject to what has been.
Pleased of the innocent, fall upon deaf conscience.
Feeling like this hell is heaven sent.
Desperate to break free from the fact where suffering is longer relevant.
A piece of simple rhyme schemes elucidates the most complex lifestreams.
Choices made in one reality, unaffected by a different parallel time stream.
Geometric lines drawn manipulate the entry, like Kasparov with the chess piece.
This is Genghis with the Warlord chess piece.
Space-time by my well-defined, I am the World King.
Slick the way the pen flows, I illuminate paragraphs,
And bring words to life, fast time slows.
Play my position like Elijah Juan, 894.
Like to resash the flute, step into a new world.
Same soul, new flow, same ammo, still elemental.
Rebuilt for the spirit of all those who play the new world.
Swag, like the 86 Scott MC scrolls.
Check out my melody, paid in full. Swag, like the 86 Scott MC Scrolls. Check out my
melody, paid in full. Know the ledge, need I say more? From broken and bad to breaking
every record. Purple and gold, number eight, no stick swagger. Racing the game, the next
paradigm is charted. Navigate the industry, around cryptids and silo. Had to flip a style
up. Mental mind state, innovate, and state of blessing by the sacred first floor.
Mindset closer.
Spiritual medication.
Get the dose up.
Meditation die patterns.
Make no mistakes.
This is the same cycle.
Stay with the soul psychic.
Floor on this portion recital.
The message is still vital.
Neurons fire different.
So the true self stays hidden.
Blaze on the mic.
Stay at one in 10 and fitted.
Summon conscious spitting. Systematic pencil movement like Alexander. Blaze on the mic. Still wanted to be fitted. Stream of conscious spitting.
Systematic pencil movement like Alexander.
Destroy King's position.
Intellectually unchanged.
Break from the information requisition.
And by the hand of God.
Dissecting where the trail leads.
I am the hurricane.
From the storm.
Whirlwind.
Lightning.
Conquer the seven seas.
Brought to the seated steps.
All the heads of conquer kings. Taken out for chessboard, counted out, lighted him, had to make a comeback,
45 for 23, manifest greatness, Muhammad Ali, rise and rise again, this is legacy,
New York precious, a vicious journey, rise and overcome, I am Genghis the world can give me all your lost ones I'll show them the
path that's how this battle is won the will to win is never done all right I love it when you do that one, Suavecito, and I especially love that you have found
a way to put music behind you because I know for the longest time you're like, oh man,
I want to perform and have music coming through, and it seems like you really, like you honed
it in, and I love what you're doing with that like that style of spoken
word it sounds really good well thank you appreciate it yeah it's not real rap
it's spoken word music you know what I mean because I hate like restrictions
when I write you got a lot of heart I will say that I love the passion and the energy behind it because you're communicating how you feel.
The words are great, but the delivery is perfect, fits perfectly with the song.
You got a lot of passion, Suavecito.
I love it.
Thank you very much.
All right.
Thank you. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you, guys. Thank you, everyone, because this space would not be anything. thank you very much all right thank you

So I appreciate you.
Next up, we're going to go to Matcha.
Then we're going to do a host round.
And then we're going to check in with Wolf and Abba Burr.
And also, Nancycy i see you have

hi cara joel it's mojo and everyone here hope you guys are enjoying your day yeah we are now
because you're here baby thank you so much joe and hope you don't mind me seeing you for a while. Aww!
We want you to! Come on!
Alright, let's get started! There's a calm surrender to the rush of pain
When the heat of a rolling wind can be turned away
An injected moment, and it sees me through
It's enough for this restless while just to be with you
Can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough
But that's why I don't want the world That we got this far
You feel the love tonight
How it's lit to rest
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Live the very best There's a time for everyone
Be the only learn
Think the light is cold
Move us all in turn
There's rhyme and reason
To the world outdoors
When the heart of this dark cross water
Beats in time with yours
And can you feel the love tonight? Oh, tonight It is where we are
It's enough
But that's why I don't want the world
That we got this far
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight?
How it's late to rest
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best.
Thank you so much.
I'm sitting here hammering the fucking emojis and not the clapping emoji like a fucking asshole.
That was good.
Fat thumbs.
Sorry, buddy.
Anyway, yeah, that was great, man.
It sounds like you're actually using a fucking karaoke speaker or something.
You got some reverb or something?
Are you using a mic as well and some reverb and stuff or am i tripping yeah you're right um i'm
using like a device and produce a good sound yeah use your real voice what what do you use your real
voice that's his real voice it just has a reverb built into the microphone yeah take the reverb
shit off and fucking use your real voice well tell him how you're real feel fucking jesus christ
uh man anyway yeah i thought it was great with the reverb too man like i it's cool like i'm just
kind of curious what the audio setup is like do you is it like are you just have your phone near
a speaker with the reverb or do you have like phone connected to a device that allows... Or are you coming through your computer maybe?
I'm using a device connected to my phone.
I'm using two phones.
The other one is for the actual sound
and the other one is for the actual app here for X.
Yeah, just curious, man.
Yeah, it sounded great. Got some fucking Lion King vibes in the house.
I love it.
Yeah, I thought it sounded great, too. I love the reverb
on a voice. I think it might
sound really cool.
Sounds like studio recording.
Yeah, exactly.
Xavier was triggered. I don't know what got him so upset.
I just wanted to hear
what he really sounds like.
I know. I'm just kidding. I mean, it don't know what got him so upset there. No, no, no. I'm not going to hear it. I just wanted to hear what he really sounds like. I know.
I'm just kidding.
I was just farting.
I mean, it's what he sounds like.
It's just like it's just amplified a little bit more.
You know, it adds a little extra oomph to it, which I can take.
I love it.
All right.
Well, thank you so much.
All right.
Let's kick off a host round, and let's have Joe start it, and then we'll see what Jules
is going to do.
Jules has been telling me saxophone.
Yeah, I got it.
All right.
Yeah, that's right.
Get that reed all, you know, do it.
No, so I bought a synthetic reed.
Oh, that's right.
And so I've tried them in the past, and they're super, super shitty.
them in the past and they're super super shitty but yamaha just made this new synthetic reed that
actually like it's the closest resemblance to a piece of cane wood that i've ever come across and
it's actually not bad so you'll hear it in a minute but it's actually the tone of it's actually
pretty decent yeah okay so you don't have to soak it in i don't gotta wet my reed you know i don't
gonna soak my reed and like you know get everything ready and wait and then and then by the time they
call me on stage it's like either it's too fucking waterlogged or it's like dried out again.
You know what I mean?
That's the worst.
Yo, send me a link to that.
Cause maybe I'll get that for my clarinet and I'll start whipping that shit out.
Get the clarinet.
You know, it's, it's funny.
Cause I like, I can play the clarinet, but the, it's like, it's an, it's a true C instrument.
So the scale is, it's like a true C true c instrument so the scale is it's like a
true c where the the saxophone is an e flat so it's like i should try a clarinet but the fingering
is just different it's like backward the scales like almost backwards on it or something but
yeah some clarinets are b flat though yeah some clarinets are at least you get some practice with
your fingering you know exactly that the fingering is what's important. Alright, with that mojo!
I don't know what we're talking about anymore. Just reduce more fingering,
that's all.
So, wedding your read. Less wood wedding,
more fingering. Yes, that's right.
What he said.
So, I was just thinking about how far
my musical experience goes back.
So I started piano lessons at 10, but even before that,
my grandmother had a piano and an organ back-to-back in her living room,
and she would always say, just play.
I don't care if you're pounding on it.
I don't care if you're dancing on it.
Just I want you to get exposed to music and fall in love with it
because she was a musician as well.
In fact, my grandmother was the one that bought me my trumpet
that ended up being my passport to the world.
Some of you know I toured 30 countries as a trumpet player,
played for Mother Teresa in 1990 in Calcutta,
and then Pope John Paul II.
So my grandmother has passed away,
and I just want to thank her for her belief in me
to buy me the
trumpet of my dreams so that then actually did take me to places I couldn't
even imagine but my grandmother was the one that taught me this what some of you
will know this if you've ever taken any sort of piano lessons or just played with
piano and and I'm just gonna use it because to show the contrast of where I
was to where I've become so one one of the first things I ever learned on piano was this.
And then when I got really now I can do this.
By the way, I don't have any music in front of me.
I just have a chord chart.
So this is, I'm as surprised as anybody.
It totally moved.
What has happened here, right?
In my experience as a musician.
Plus this song has special meaning
because I almost got arrested
singing the song in a church parking garage.
And drop the mic.
I see trees of green.
Red roses too.
I see them blue.
For me and for you.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue, clouds of light bright so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of the people going by
I see friends shaking hands, saying I do do.
They're really saying I love you.
I love you.
I hear babies cry.
My watch will grow.
They're not small.
Than I would ever know.
And I think to myself.
What a wonderful world. Yes, I think I see. Wonderful.
What a wonderful world.
That's so much better than chopsticks!
Oh my god, the goat!
That's right, hold on.
Get the goat that's right hold on oh mojo that was amazing you've come from chopsticks to uh from chopsticks to louie armstrong right just takes a matter of time and practice and commitment uh i'm still trying to
figure out chopsticks you know what i mean like i prefer a fork but uh you know i'm working on it
it's all right just a matter of time baby you only have to live to be 374 years old and you'd
be ready to go the man can literally play saxophone he's still just kidding
he's like wait what what finger goes where just riff riffing here. Whoa. Oh, my God. Oh, come on. I'll make it dirty.
We're back on the finger.
Yeah, real pearls, too, Mike, my fingering keys.
Is it me or is it you, Karen?
No, it's you.
Okay, hang on.
What's up?
Jules, baby.
Oh, it's Jules.
Okay, hang on.
Let me go back to the phone and not phone.
Yeah, I have been waiting for this for so long.
Waiting. So I've been like just working on this little like jazz glick and it's like,
it's just a short little solo and there's a transition part that I can't, um,
really nail down as best as I'd like, let me come on jules give it to the ladies
she's been waiting she's been waiting for a jewels like you
see that's oh i'm stuck in my chair no good All right. Yeah, it's pretty cool, though, to have, like, just to pull the sacks out and have this synthetic reed just, like, ready to go whenever you want to play it.
Like I said, they've come a long way.
They used to just make them out of this, like, really clear kind of smooth plastic.
But this actually almost feels like a bit of wood grain.
And I'm just rambling to you for a sec while I get my ligature figured out here.
Yeah. Anyway. Like a bit of wood grain and I'm just rambling to you for a sec while I get my ligature figured out here Yeah
Anyway, let's see if I can get this. I want to know how many in the room know what ligature means oh
Oh, there's that'm missing that octave transition.
It is bugging me a bit.
Oh, my God.
It sounds so good.
We're loving it.
Keep going.
Put some air back in your tires, Jules.
Put some air back in that.
Yeah, air back in the tires.
Thank you, thank you.
Don't deflate yourself.
Are you done?
Is that it?
Yeah, it takes a lot of breath to do that.
I know, it's so cool.
A sax solo is pretty much all you get out of the world.
That's what it lives.
I want more.
Dude, that was just.
Yeah, thank you, thank you.
That was amazing, guys.
That was fun. Live, thank you. Thank you. That was amazing, guys.
That was fun.
Live saxophone play.
Yeah, that's slap, dude.
That's very romantic.
That's slap.
Yeah, that's a slap.
Oh my God.
There are so many parts, like the octave change, the, I can hear, like I hear you, don't make
this dirty.
I hear you blowing into the instrument, right?
And I hear that it's like it's like revving
It's like right and then you do that real and then the up and down
I should practice more often. That's the thing that's the thing is consistent
Like I've been playing a few like I started as an adult, so I'm not like classically trained or whatever
And like it's like my practice is just body
You know what I mean like 20 minutes
a day really puts you so far ahead of people like carrie your consistency and how much you've like
how far you've come in a short amount of time you play just because your consistency was your
practice so you know what i mean like if i actually played just 10 20 minutes a day like i know i
could be a little better but yeah i appreciate it i started as an adult too so i'm not classically
trained like mr mojo over here but uh yeah i love the sax and i i love to play it like makes me feel like i can sing without
singing you know what i mean i can just pour my emotion into it what i feel like would come out
you know and and yeah it's a lot of fun yes well saxophone has such an emotion an emotive uh feel
to it anyway and then to be able to you know use your breath and your fingers to create that sound
which is kind of rare these days because we don't have the instrumental band programs
that we had back in the day when I was growing up.
So I love it.
Anytime somebody pulls out an instrument and can play a solo instrument, it's fantastic.
Yeah, Jules, dude, keep going.
Keep going.
That was very good and very romantic.
And, yeah, that was great.
Thanks, man. I appreciate it. Right yeah, that was great. Thanks, man.
I appreciate it.
He's so smooth.
Stay sexy.
Stay sexy, Jules.
That used to be my, like, I used to, like, end everything with that.
After the movie Anchorman came out, like, every post I wrote on social media ended with stay sexy.
Like, you know how many people say, stay classy, San Diego?
Yeah. But anyway. Like, you know, stay classy, San Diego. Yeah.
But anyway, that's you, a.k.a.
All right.
All right, Kara.
This thing moving.
This is going to be the second time that I played this song.
I practiced it last week in my space Cardano nights
I've been trying to figure this song out
I keep transposing it and I think I've settled on where it's gonna live wolf
You know what I'm talking about same song. I practice it more. I feel like it's alright. I'm gonna stop qualifying
I'm just gonna do it
No, just like shut up just play it. No disclaimers. You got to just play. No disclaimers. All right.
We'll see how it goes.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Once you can see about me, I'll be alone, dancing, you know it, baby.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. Ooh.
Tell me troubles and doubts, giving me everything inside and out and out and love's strange.
So feel in the dark, think of it and the things that we're working on in.
So those change may pull us apart when the light gets into your heart, baby.
Don't you forget about me.
Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't you forget about me.
Forget about me
Will you stand above me
Look my way and never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down down down
will you recognize me
call my name and walk on my end
rain keeps falling rain keeps falling
down, down, down Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Don't you try to pretend it's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm or touch your defenses, vanity and security. Don't you forget about me. I'll be alone dancing, you know it baby. Going
to take your part. Put us back together at the heart baby. don't you get about me?
Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't you get about me?
As you walk on by, will you call my name?
As you walk away, will you call my name?
When you walk away.
will you walk away
will you walk on by

Thanks, guys. All right!
Is that you, too?
No. that is
Simple Minds
Did you forget about me?
Nice job, Cara
Why do you have to do the fucking fart sound?
That's an inside joke
I know, but it's just funny
The fart sound.
It's actually a compliment, even though it doesn't sound.
It's our little thing.
Me and Joe have a little inside joke going for like a month now.
Thank you, guys.
I hope I didn't blow out your eardrums.
It's still...
No, it's perfect.
I need to find out how to transpose it differently.
Because there's some chords I can't play.
But once I learn how to play them, it's on.
It's not too loud.
By the way, Kara, like I said before, I've got to hear the evolution or the maturity in your voice, just like with Mela, because I bet you maybe it's about the same time, two and a half years ago maybe.
And to hear you just get better both at your guitar playing,
your singing, but mostly your confidence.
So now you take a song, just like anybody.
At first you mimic it, so you imitate a song.
This is three stages of learning.
Imitate, emulate, and then create.
You imitate it, then you emulate it.
So you take what it is and you kind of make it your own,
and then you start creating your own songs, which you've done as well. And I don't know,
just as your friend, as an observer, as a listener, it's so fun to see the maturity and
evolution and progress that you've made in such a short period of time. Again, as Jewel said earlier,
because you do it regularly, you do it consistently and it's accelerated your learning
and we get to benefit.
So thank you for that.
Aw, thank you so much, Joe.
I appreciate you so much.
That's very sweet.
I've only been playing guitar for two years, guys,
for those of you who don't know me.
I'm self-taught.
I'm getting better.
I have an instructor now.
He's teaching me things.
He's teaching me things.
I learned how to play my first bar chord, like in a song.
I'm going to try later.
And I can actually get through.
It's decent.
It's not perfect, but it's a decent song.
I'm picking it up.
But thank you.
Appreciate y'all.
I'm telling you, Kara, before long, you'll throw away your capo.
You won't need it anymore.
Oh, my God.
I can't wait for that day.
It's going to take a while.
The chord that I learned how to play is F minor sharp.
And I'm just like holy shit this is dope
once you get that one once you get that one down the rest of them are just variations on
yeah we'll have to have a conversation in the back end but my because I know for sure music
but he taught me I had an epiphany and I was telling Chris last night I was like I can't
wait to share this with all like my music nerd friends if you are are on the sixth string, the low E, and you play
it, it's E. But if you put your finger on the first
fret, ooh, it becomes F. And then you move
down, it's F sharp. And then you go down to G.
I learned all that the other night, and I was like,
oh my god, it's clicking.
It's clicking. I like it.
It's a new language. You're learning a new language. It's fantastic.
Well, thank you, guys.
All right. Kara, wait,
wait, wait. You were so so amazing I just wanted to say
a few words about how good you are with each and every word that Mojo said you're such an amazing
girly so yeah you did it so great that was so good oh thank you so much sweetheart i appreciate you so much majestic how are you with your hand up oh my god so god let me up here uh aka mojo
he uh you know i don't know just hit hit a lot of um chords with me i had a cat named satchmo and that was also the first yeah
that was also the first song i learned on the piano and it's just been way too long mojo you're
always just speaking to my heart and then jules i haven't yeah jules i haven't heard you play this
act yet and you are super uber talented talented, just like I knew you were.
So I'm looking forward to hearing more from you and Kara.
There's no way anybody could forget about you.
Oh my God.
I love your voice.
You're just such a beautiful soul.
Thank you for hosting.
So I threw a, I actually,
I actually threw you a shout out earlier,
but didn't say your name. Cause I wasn't sure that you were familiar with this
group, but earlier I talked about.
You're finding out Jules.
Yeah. Yeah. Earlier, earlier I talked about like a,
a mindfulness session that sparked from one of my spaces. But anyway,
Maje is the host of that. And she just does like positive affirmation,
kind of little meditation, start your day off, right?
Vibe space in the morning.
And she actually booked one for tomorrow morning as well.
So tapping is a great start.
Oh, I love that.
What time is it?
Put it in the nest.
Do you have it scheduled?
It's in the, I'll put it up there.
It's at 7.30 a.m. Pacific.
Oh, God, girl.
Wait, what time is that Eastern?
She said, oh, God, girl.
10.30 a.m.
10.30 Eastern.
Oh, okay, good.
I'm like, I don't start my day.
It's not early for you.
It's too early.
I am not a morning person at all.
I'm not either.
It's been a goal, and, like, Jules actually inspired me, and I was like, okay, let's do it.
Because you've got to get ahead of your thoughts, right?
Like I've been getting up and it's just like, I'm serving the world, you know, before I
connect, you know?
So it's just that.
So don't even worry about being awake.
Just plug it in.
Okay, good.
You don't have to do a thing.
Just receive.
Jules out here
inspiring people. He inspired me to get back on
my bike. He's getting up at 4 o'clock in the
morning to go hiking and now
you have a meditation space in the morning, which is a little
too early for me, but I'll be there.
Well, it's better. No, yeah.
For her, it's 7.30 PST,
so 7.30 our time, which is
what, 9.30 for you? 10.30.
Well, 10.30 for Eastern.
Oh, 10.30 a.m. for me?
Oh, that's perfect.
Are you EST, Kara?
I thought you were Central for some reason.
No, I'm EST.
I'm Philly.
She's Eastern.
Oh, I thought you were Central.
Kara, it's 10.30 for you, Kara.
10.30 a.m. for me?
That's a reasonable hour in the morning.
Yeah, sure.
Sounds good.
I mean, it's kind of early for you, but I think you can handle it.
I think so.
I'm not a person before 9.30. I mean, it's kind of early for you, but I think you can handle it. I think so. I'm not a person before 930.
I forget what it is.
Drink some coffee, you'd be good.
It's a lot of real lifestyle.
All right.
Well, I appreciate you being here.
Thank you so much for joining.
Wolf, I was just going to get to you, and you dropped.
I'm so sorry.
Thank you for hanging out.
You want to come back?
Oh, he's gone. Okay. Well okay well we probably i don't know um abeber nice to see you i'm sure you would love
to share a song thank you for for your patience yeah thanks for the space so amazing listening to
you choose poncho everyone over here is absolutely amazing.
So thanks for hosting this.
You're like making the room for all of us to meet.
It's precious.
So thank you so much, Kara.
And how are you doing today?
I love doing it.
Yeah, thank you.
I'm doing good.
I'm doing really good.
The caffeine that I had, I forced myself to get back on my bike after two years of not exercising. And I, I, as soon as I get on it,
I don't know how to stop. So I rode 14 miles and I was like, I probably shouldn't have done that
on a night that I know I'm going to be up late because I came home exhausted. And then I drank
some caffeine and I'm good now. So appreciate you for asking. I'm good. Long winded waves.
Good. You better know. Yeah. Good thing. How fast I'm talking I need to tell by how fast she said that she's doing fine
Yeah, good thing about bike it's not like a musical instrument
You know you can pick it up
Practice every day when you clip into the pedals and you forget how to
do that and then you forget how to unclip
and then you fall on your ass that's not fun
I also ran into a snake today
you got like you're full on with the
SPD clips and shit? I clip into my
pedals yeah
that's dangerous
all in as usual yeah but Abba Burr Oh my. That's dangerous. Yeah.
But Abba Burr,
you want to play a song for us?
I don't use a bike with a clipping.
So it's in there for me.
I'll share the art that goes with the song because you know that my songs go with my art and yeah here's the song
there's no time
and lights are down the night has come, and you are gone.
I hope you're happy with her now.
I shut the door and turn around.
I'm turning around, it's time I say goodbye to you.
I'll search for him and he'll see my magic.
You'll teach me truth, you'll show me more, and he will never hurt me.
I never thought you'd live this way. I desire to be betrayed
But I forgive you, I let it go
It's time I say goodbye to you, I'll search for him, and he will see my magic
He'll teach me trust, he'll show me love, and he will never hurt me. He'll give me hope. He'll make me laugh. Goodbye Goodbye
It's the time I say goodbye to you, I'll search for him And he will see my magic
He'll teach me trust, he'll show me love And he will never hurt me He'll give me hope
He'll make me laugh
And laugh with me
And he will never hurt me
Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye
Thank you so much so beautiful evergreen oh i loved it one of the things i really appreciate about you and i admire
because i can't do it is you always play you uh you do a finger picking pattern when you play
and you sing along, right?
I have not figured out how to do that yet.
I find that the finger picking patterns are like difficult because I have to try to concentrate
on getting it.
Like first I have to practice it to get it right.
And if I get it and I got to practice it and then to try to sing over it, oh my God, girl,
I don't know how you do it.
So I admire you for that.
I think that's amazing.
And I know that you're relatively new to learning guitar as well even been playing for I think the
same amount of time as me right like two years ish yeah two years yes and for me
it's like different care because I started with finger picking and then I
when I started to strum it was like I couldn't do it together with singing at first with an instrument pattern so
it's kind of my first but yeah it's like we're we're on the same path so yeah yeah it's funny
so much for being here and for sharing that song i loved it
and for sharing that song.
I loved it.
And even we're always just amazed
that you have not only the prolific,
prolific is the right word for you
because you continue to create
not just music, but art.
And when I watch what you're doing online,
you're experimenting and succeeding
and excelling in so many different mediums.
So it's quite inspiring.
And it's a treasure to have you around to share all your art
and your music and your creativity with us.
It's very inspiring.
So thank you.
Oh, thank you so much, Mojo.
We're so blessed to have you around
because you always find such precious words for everyone.
And for me thank
you so much Mojo I love you I love you too pleasure all right I see we got Wolf back
let's uh let's check in let's check in with Wolf and see if he wants to share any of his beatboxing, and then we'll go over to Chris.
You came back. Thank you.
I'm just kidding.
I see a lot of cool people in here. I know humans. Look at all the nice humans.
You don't know we're all humans. That's just an assumption.
Are you not human?
What's going on here?
No, I'm a human. I'm just acknowledging my other humans.
You need to make me paranoid. Oh, my God. Don't gaslight here? No, I'm a human. I'm just acknowledging my other human. You're making me paranoid.
Oh, my God.
Don't gaslight me.
Wolf is a wolf.
He's not a human.
All right.
Okay, wait.
In terms of, like, beatboxing, perhaps.
I was trying to learn in the background, as I was in all of everyone's talent,
trying to learn, hold on, ticket.
So it's ticket to get.
So it's like, but erase all the bullshit.
So it's like ticket to get.
So it's like, wait.
Yeah, so ticket to get.
Wishy romance or fairy tale nonsense. so I was trying to learn
this is about
fairy tales
sorry I think she mic'd up by accident
yeah so I was trying to learn like ticket to gets
um in the background
here it's like it's fucking hard
so I don't know if I want to share that
annoying nuisance or
do it do it do it
come on but I wanted to read poetry if I'm allowed to do that
after. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, for sure. Yeah, give us a beatbox
and a poetry slam for sure.
Oh, I also have to be like
respectful to the homie who's sleeping, so I can't
beatbox a lot. Fuck that guy.
Fuck that guy. Tell him to wake up and listen.
I just want to try to like what I was learning earlier so take it take it fuck that guy take it to get
so it's like that guy so so yeah so this is what i'm trying to beta and learn so like
ticket to gets right yeah ticket to get it's like tickets yeah i'm trying to like just get that muscle memory down because it's just really weird.
I like it.
It's fucking weird.
Beatboxing is weird.
Do you ever play trumpet wolf or not?
It would serve you very well as trumpet player
because you do triple tonguing.
I have no idea what that means.
We've been working on it.
A lot of fingering talk.
Triple tonguing is a new one.
The pattern that you were just doing. You do it with wood a new one. The pattern that you were just doing.
You do it with woodwind instruments too.
The pattern that you were just doing with your mouth is also a trumpet technique for making it sound like you're hitting a lot of notes faster than you actually can.
Instead of going.
And it's actual drum language.
You sound like you're speaking Arabic drum language.
That's right.
Exactly right.
That's cool. Yes. I don't know, dude. I'm just making Arabic drum language. That's right. Exactly right. That's cool.
I don't know, dude.
I'm just making noises, man.
I love it.
I love the unintended crossover.
It's deeper than you think.
Well, it's great.
I appreciate you guys.
I learned something.
Oh, no, I'm not going to say that.
I got made.
And you know, like, honestly, like when I was younger, and I don't want to like, yeah, it's
no like slight or whatever.
But when I was younger, I was like obsessed with beatbox.
And like my family fucking hated me.
So I just like, I just like, I couldn't stop beatboxing like all the time.
And I haven't done it really in years.
But yeah, like, yeah, there's definitely no shade for you if you want to come.
Oh, I appreciate you.
Yeah, it's fun, man.
Because you're just like your own instrument.
You can bring anywhere, you know.
That's right.
My favorite story is that you were on the airplane, like making noises.
I don't know. I totally was beatboxing on the airplane
Ticket it gets to that fucking poem
Why don't you
Oh yeah fair
Slap some Sally's in the back alley there Canadian
You know right
He's got to set the Canadian accent
Okay I'll read something
I appreciate you.
really appreciate
like the woman. You know what I mean?
Like, you're all so
important to everything
I think you should be treated how you deserve for that, right?
And I finally came up with a name for this poem.
It's actually inspired by Chris and Tim.
And it's called Chloroform
oh yes yes
oh I wish Tim was here
I'm gonna text him right now
so glad this is recorded
1115 time stamp
serious face we have work to do Same. Yeah, it's an 1115 timestamp. Let's go.
Serious face. We have work to do.
You may be my goddess. However, right here, right now, I want my fallen angel. Come to me.
White knuckles gripping sheet tied down like a strict diet,
and tonight you're my fucking piece of meat.
My ravenous desire penetrates your fever dreams,
and I can't help but hear all of your breathless screams.
You come for me only when I tell you to. That's my good girl.
Don't gag now, push through.
And who's my little whore?
Open your mouth.
I see the laughing.
Open your mouth.
Open your mouth. Take this spit. Swallow more.
Take this spit, swallow more.
You peek underneath the blindfold like a sly little cuck.
Listen, I didn't give you fucking permission to watch me grasp, bite, kiss, lick, and suck.
So here's a reminder for breaking the rule.
cuffs and a few more spanks for my bratty little fool.
Cuffs and a few more spanks for my bratty little fool.
Invading consciousness, your neck firm between fingers and thumb
and the writhing and arching as your knees weaken, your body tingles numb.
You look up at me wet and lust drunk.
Suck on these fingers, you submissive little punk.
And if you're a good girl, I'll let you pick out your own collar.
Maybe even a leash.
Come to me.
Come to me.
Come for me.
I'll give you pleasure, pain, and peace.
Chloroform. Chloroform oh my god wow i don't know how i feel about that
oh wait i want to make a noise oh my god that's wild
all right now i feel dirty i gotta shower
so for those of you who don't know
tim and chris co-hosted
with me going back maybe like i don't know a couple
months ago and tim
is uh and this is public
like he's he's separated so he's
he's dating now, right?
And he's like, I'm going, he threw it out to the room.
He was like, I'm going to be going on dates now, right?
I haven't dated in like 28 years.
I want to hear your best or worst, like lines.
And one of the things that came up in that space.
Pick up lines.
Yeah, pick up lines.
Thank you, Chris.
And one of the things that came up in the space is Wolf comes in hot.
And he was, what did you say?
Wolf, say it.
What did you say? I was say it. What did you say?
I was like, I said two horrible things.
I said, hey, does this smell like chloroform to you?
And the Epstein Island one, too.
And the Epstein Island one, yeah.
That was bad, yeah.
But that's where this chloroform inspired uh spoken word comes from was from
that space so just trying to give dating advice you know yeah congratulations chris you're part
of that i remember i was i dated this chick speaking of chloroform i dated this chick for
like six months and she had fallen asleep like we were on the couch show you know she had fallen
asleep and they took a selfie of us but i like superimposed like an ai superimposed bill cosby's
face onto my face and like
sent her the picture or whatever I thought it was really funny um actually thought it was funny too
but uh yeah that's hilarious it was pretty funny on you or like on like we just felt like she fell
asleep it was like we were she was drinking right so she fell asleep we were watching a movie or
whatever she just fell asleep on the couch kind of like oh I see so I just took like the selfie
and that superimposed Bill Cosby's face onto mine or whatever anyway She just fell asleep on the couch in my arm. Oh, I see. So I just took the selfie and then superimposed Bill Cosby's
face onto mine or whatever. Anyway, it's pretty funny.
I thought that was funny.
That's funny. Nice. Good one.
For the record,
I'm not Bill Cosby. I don't know him.
I haven't been associated with any of his actions.
This is all for instainment purposes and purposes only.
Ridiculous.
Do you have business with baby oil
I prefer coconut oil
yeah coconuts
he likes the coconuts
put the lime in the coconut
and shake it up
I will absolutely not shake it up
I will not
but 20 bucks is 20 bucks I mean you're right and shake it up. I will absolutely not shake it up. I will not. You don't have to shake it if you don't want to.
But $20 is $20.
I mean, you're right. That's right.
fucking boy.
Well, I appreciate you coming back.
I really, I love your,
I was just going to say boomboxing. I really like
your beatboxing. Boomboxing.
I love it. I know. I say stupid things.
That's funny. That's boxing. I love it. I know. I say stupid things. That's funny.
That's great.
It's a learning and process.
Appreciate you.
Can I say something on the beatboxing?
I know, Wolf, you're like focused on the technical part on that.
But I was enjoying that sound, man.
That was clean.
Just keep doing it.
I was like bobbing my head, Wolf.
Same. It's kind of raining right back is more beautiful i appreciate
you thank you i was just looking for chloroforms does this smell like chloroform to you
where do they put my chloroform i can't find it anywhere oh my god we're gonna get canceled
the worst part is when i'm folding laundry, you know,
and I do the sniff test to make sure it's clean and pass out.
Is it on Amazon?
Buy my chloroform on Amazon.
Can I get that delivered tonight, or do I have to wait until tomorrow?
If you buy three, you qualify for expedited sugar.
Get a bonus.
Get one free.
If you buy four, it comes with a roll of duct tape and some Skittles.
And Skittles?
Wait, what are the Skittles for?
Because, you know, taste the rainbow.
Don't ask.
Don't ask.
Don't tell.
What's happening?
Wait, you went from babe oil to coconut oil?
This could be us, but you won't send your vacation.
Drop me a pen. You got vegetable oil. This could be us, but you won't send your vacation. Drop me a pin.
You got vegetable oil.
Can we get that white labeled so that they don't know where the delivery
person came from?
Oh my God, Joe.
Well, with that, we're going to segue over to Chris.
Chris, how do you want to follow that?
Yeah, perfect segue.
Perfect segue. That leads segue over to Chris. Yeah, perfect segue. Perfect segue.
Oh, my God.
That leads us right into Chris.
Is there a prime member?
Is there a form to you, girl?
Yeah, a little bit.
A little bit.
Wait, hold on.
I have a headache.
I can do that to ladies.
I have that effect on us.
Likely story.
Chris passes out in the space.
Yeah, yeah.
I've heard that before.
No, I'm serious.
I'm serious.
My space freaking crashed.
Like, it never happened before, okay?
It literally crashed.
And then it came back.
My mic won't close off.
It was trying to connect because it's thinking that I'm still there.
But, yeah, it totally crashed.
So I didn't hear all of it, Wolf, but I know I heard it before.
Look what you're doing to the ladies, Wolf, but I know I heard it before.
Look what you're doing to the ladies, Wolf.
Hey, what can I do?
They're getting all disoriented and discombobulated.
They don't know what's going on.
Ooh, Skittles.
Oh, Skittles.
Wolf just chloroformed the entire space.
Allegedly.
Allegedly.
Allegedly. Oh my God, how how am I gonna play this song
Chris hurry up
what are you doing
chloroform and then he tries to create some Stockholm Syndrome
you couldn't ask for a better
there you go
this has got nothing to do with chloroform
Chris what if I blow bubbles will that help you play a song
who the fuck is bubbles?
It's too hot in here.
It's too fucking hot.
Oh, bubbles.
Well, if this is your fault, let's be serious a little bit.
I'm going to try to cover this song, and I'm going to play it in this version that I've
never done this version before for this song.
And I haven't sang the song for a long time because it's usually higher.
No disclaimers!
It's usually higher, so I changed the key.
Because I used to play this with the band, and it's already 11 o'clock.
It's kind of hard to belt late at night.
So, anyway.
And it's August, and it's a Thursday and it's 2025.
And I think I've got a hangnail.
Come on, Chris, let's go.
And Kara, I got a little instrument that's attached to my neck right now.
So let's try it.
Is that code for anything?
Wink, wink.
All right.
The old mouse harp.
I'm so excited. Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain. Once or twice was enough, it was all in vain
Time starts to pass before you know if you're frozen
But nothing happens for the very best time
With you, my heart mutts into the ground
Found something true, and everyone's looking around
Thinking I'm going crazy
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you, they try to me away, but they don't know the truth. My heart's full by the vein that I keep, keepin' in love Keepin' I keep, keep, bleedin' in love
Keepin' I keep, keep, bleedin' in love
Becoming open
Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Chanting sounds
Yes, I know that the goal is to keep me from calling
Nothing's greater than the truth
That comes with your embrace
In this world alone
And as I see your face
Got everyone around
You thinks that I'm going crazy
Maybe, maybe
I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But I'm not holding through
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding, love
Keep bleeding, I keep, keep bleeding, love
Keep bleeding, I keep, keep leaning, I keep leaning Oh, you're coming up at night Oh And this way this does for anyone to see
I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the veins
And I keep on closing.
You cut me open.
I keep bleeding.
I keep, keep bleeding.
Love, I keep bleeding.
I keep, keep bleeding.
Love, I keep bleeding.

Oh my god! Oh my god!
Oh my god!
Oh my god!
Oh my god!
I'm calling the bird bird.
I love that one!
I love the, like, the percussive things like and there's there's some things that you
can do actually that i that pugs doesn't even do like that you hear a lot of and one thing that i
like really give you your kudos for is like when you do those percussive flicks and harmonics like
just whales on the strings on the way down it with a little couple percussive taps like i don't even
really know what to call it but like yeah and the harmonics in between and it just didn't like and
have all that each string harmonic come through clean like that it's just i really love that it
just uh that that really stands out to me in that song i thought that was great thanks jules
kara calls it the ping ping the ping ping yeah yeah yeah very very amazing chris taught me how
to do the harmonics and my guitar
instructor is working with me on it but that is one of my most favorite things that i noticed
right away about chris is that she always works in very nicely the harmonics into her songs and
even if she goes down and like she very cleanly ends it with the ping i don't know how you get
the ping at the end so it really just like you've got yeah you're you're good at a few times throughout your song whether
you know whatever the bar count is but like there's always something that you do in a transition that
really brings people's attention like back to center like it's like you've got a cover that's
like most people can do a cover and it's you know what i mean like you'll make your way through it
but like you've got um you've got this ability to like you know bring the mean? Like you'll make your way through it, but like, you've got, um, you've got this ability to like, you know, bring the, like bring the attention right back to center throughout your song with the
guitar. And I love that.
Like that breakdown of Chris playing.
Yes. The dynamics. Love it.
Thank you. Thank you everybody. I'm glad you,
I'm glad you liked that cover because that version,
I never tried it with that key. I don't know why I'm never,
but it's, it's a fun one in this.
Listen, let's give Chris the best fucking, you know,
let's give her the title of best guitarist.
The honest?
It's either you or honestly Blue.
You know, I feel like you and Blue are very similar.
And Pugs, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
No, Pugs is a library of, if Pugs was a library, oh my God, you're going to get lost in this library of genre and like songs that he had touched and encountered and learned before.
So that's different, you know, that takes time and that takes dedication.
But I appreciate that, Xavier.
We all have our journey as a musician.
So for me, I always like to really make sure
that I get that dynamics and make it fun.
Because for me, like some of the songs,
you play it too much, but how do you make it your own?
Number one or two, you're trying to express
what the song is about.
So how do you do that creatively?
So that's always the challenge for myself, right?
So that's a fun part.
So thank you, guys.
Appreciate it.
No, thank you.
The other comment I want to make.
Yeah, I'm so sorry.
Chris, I've been singing in five hours, but it doesn't count because you didn't say my name in the song.
So I stopped listening after I realized that.
Listen, maybe I even get too much chloroform and I forgot your name.
Yeah, I didn't hear too much chloroform.
Let's let Ebber wants to throw you flowers.
And I know Joe really wants to say something to you too.
Chris, I'm sure that you're like the best female guitarist in Web3.
That's for sure.
Oh my gosh.
That is sweet. Thank you so much thank you thank you that's that's i'm flattered thank you guys the the word that came to mind chris while i was listening to
play again which i love is effortless but here's the deal i know you've put in a lot of effort
to get to the place where you can play it where it sounds effortless.
And so I'm just thinking, God, how many hours, how much dedication, how much work have you
done so that now when you play live, the rest of us, we feel like, God, she just does that
so effortlessly.
It's beautiful.
And I'm grateful to be able to listen.
Thank you, Joe.
Like, let me rephrase this thank you for
for that because coming from you i i know how much time you have to put on crafting our sorry uh
perfecting our craft and and i appreciate that yeah no and i that's i guess i could i can relate
to that right so i mean how many hours have i put
in where it was just work and you think is this ever going to pay off and then you get to a point
where at some point and you don't even know when it comes it's not like it happens all of a sudden
it just happens yeah over time and you realize i just did all of that that i just worked and worked
to work hard and then suddenly just start to flow out of you. It's yeah, it's, uh,
which is the best part.
It's the best. Yeah. And it's best not only for you because you see the
progress, but it's awesome for us as listeners as well,
because there's just,
it's a different way of experiencing a song when it's just flowing from you
rather than, you know,
you're trying to figure out what's the next chord and how am I going to
strum it, et cetera. Anyway, thank you. Thank you for the time you put in
so that we can enjoy that. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Because you are amazing,
Chris. I know I say it all the time. When I grow up, I want to be like Chris. Oh, guitar. Guitar
playing. I want to be like Chris. Love it. good oh i know so good um all right so the next
up next up next up we got my boy rocky who is very very patiently been hanging out over there
rocky are you still at work how you doing good to see you what's up what's up yeah what's up

We might need to clip that and put that on the track. Hey, Kyra, I like your Swiss, Kyra.
We might need to clip that and clip that on track.
No, you keep talking about clipping me.
That's dope.
That'd be dope.
I love that.
I love that song.
I love that song.
Rocky, look, I love everything that you do.
I'm not going to lie.
My new favorite, my new, new favorite right now is Spin the Block.
Guys, that song is so dope.
I really like this collab that you're doing with Darius too.
I'm just thinking about the songs of you that I like that I've heard recently.
And this one is definitely one of them.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
I appreciate you being here.
Mojo Jojo, what's good?
Mojo Jojo, I like that.
I love it, yes.
So I met Rocky about the same time I first met Kara, and it was one of those clown spaces with Pastor Pothead.
And just to hear the growth, right?
For us to be friends, many of us now long enough to know how far we came from just in the last two years or so.
God, how rewarding is that?
And we could cheer each other on.
That's fantastic.
Rocky, I just love it.
Appreciate it, man.
Yeah, it's been a while, man.
Like, you know, some of y'all, like, I forget,
like, how long it's actually been
because to me it's like y'all been here the whole fucking time. You know? Right, like, I forget, like, how long it's actually been, because to me, it's like, y'all been here the whole fucking time.
Right, yes, yes.
It's like, these are my people, you know what I'm saying?
Like, anybody who can reference a clown space and know what that means, like, they've known me for some time.
You know what I'm saying?
If you don't know what a clown space means then you know you
probably just met me like recently you know what i'm saying yes rocky rocky i got a question so
you a gangster am i a gangster no i'm just a real nigga bro that's it i wanted to say like i also met the rocky in um in cloud space but i met rocky i met
rocky and i met tyrus in real life and it was fire and now listening to their song it's like so amazing
ah thank you evil boy yeah evil evil boy is one of many people uh that have met me in real life
and they will all tell you I'm the same person on and off this space you know I'm saying just
for the record if anybody was wondering I believe you are Rocky I really do you seem
I have no doubt very authentic yeahic. There's authenticity in your voice.
And in all of my experiences with you, I've been very consistent.
So, yeah, I have no doubt.
Just for reference, that's all.
Well, we're going to meet one day because you are not far from me.
You are only a couple hours away.
We're going to make it happen.
Eventually.
We're going to have some steaks and some lobster.
All the good things.
All the good things.
I need all the good things.
Every time I eat a chicken wing, I think of you.
I'm not going to lie.
And I eat chicken wings like at least twice a week.
So I'm thinking about you all the time, man.
That's how I like it.
Chicken. Anytime I have chicken, I think of Rocky. He's always eating chicken. Who know chicken anytime I have chicken I think of Rocky he's always eating
chicken wings oh yeah now I'm hungry that's hot
well listen I'm gonna hang out I don't know how long you're gonna keep the space open Cara but
I'm gonna hang out literally until I'm getting on my train okay um. So, you know, if we spin the block by that time, you know,
maybe we can play spin the block.
Spin the block, baby.
For the hell of it.
But, yeah, I'm here until, you know, I'll be underground.
Okay, sounds good.
Yeah, appreciate you.
Rocky, thanks for jumping in, Rocky.
It's so great to have you here.
For sure, for sure.
Appreciate y'all.
Appreciate you. Good show. Good show. Appreciate y'all. Appreciate you.
All right.
So what we're going to do is, let me look at the list.
We are going to go over to Rabbit.
And then we're going to check in with Vi, who came up as speaker.
And then we're going to hit up Xavier.
And I think, yeah, Suavecito left.
So then after Xavier, we're going to check in with Terry.
What is our rabbit? What you got for us?
All right, all right, all right.
So I've been working on a few bars. I see I got Rocky in here. What up, dog?
I got Xavier and Suavecito. Well, Suave dropped, but I was working on this with these two boys earlier this week.
Put it on my track.
Kaleidoscope Dreams. Our lives pass is made by as the current starts to blow.
Can't you see we could be so much better if we stand together?
Whatever is pleasure in me could be yours. I'm a hell of a man with a hell of a name
So what you gonna do when I could do a hit on the day
My God raps the beatbox off the top of your brain
I ride before the mebox socks and pop your chain
I can't complain
When I used to get depressed I I cried, prayed to the Lord.
Lots to nothing but a mess, I can't have taken no more.
So when it's my time, I pack my bags and never look back.
Please, you give me all my sins, you send me next to my dad.
I got a whole lot to tell him, a lot did he miss.
I stopped him, looked at the sky, straight up blowing my kiss.
Know he's in bliss and have him watching over his kids.
When he was gone, I was man fighting, throwing my fists.
I never know where I was going.
I know where I'd be.
My pain's deeper than the ocean, double lake in the sea.
Splating the sea, nice heart and heavenly freak.
My love goes to my past, learned to die so young.
Life's a dark path, cloudy, yo, you tend to get spun.
Half of us don't even get a chance to leave in the slums
We got a better chance, collect the cans, beef it with guns
Well, I'ma have to check y'all, well, I find peace in the sun
Do whatever the end, I don't know why
Gown and humble, just the best way to die
Ain't no reason, ain't no crime
I do whatever the end and I don't know why
No one may get a huge trajectory
Gotta go to heaven cause you never gonna die
Cause you never lost my love All right. All right, all right.
Fuck, man.
I really love your vibe so much, man.
I really love your vibe.
That, to me, like, because I'm a huge hip-hop head,
but I'm also, you know, love this kind of, like,
raw feel from the live musicians, and you just, like,
I don't think I've heard you rap before.
Maybe I have.
I don't know.
But that was dope.
I really liked your cadence over the guitar there.
Yeah, it's always a pleasure.
That's an original?
I'm guessing that's an original or is that a cover?
What is that?
Yeah, that's an original.
Do you have your stuff recorded?
That's actually a solid song.
I really enjoyed it.
I mean, I probably would record it if I had a like a fat beat to it but i've just been messing
around with guitar i was sitting in a poetry space with spoken word and i sat down do you
do you have a means to record uh i did buy a music studio but the thing like shit the bed so
not really okay okay interesting we should we should chat
sometime i won't take up too much time from the space but yeah i think you're really good man
i really i really enjoyed that i think you're great bro hit me up anytime i'd love to do some
work with you i really love that song rabbit and i've heard you do it before. I love healing.
I think I've only really ever heard you do originals.
I don't know if you've covered any covers, but I love...
I thought I heard him do some Blind.
Yeah, I don't know.
I feel like I've only heard originals spaces I've been in with him.
But maybe.
I don't know.
Go ahead, Rabbit.
I do have a few covers, but I mostly do originals, and I'm working on some stuff, and I have some other stuff that you guys haven't heard yet, too.
Oh, I can't wait to hear more from you.

And Kara. Woo! So here's my song. This is an old song, but this is a version of a Filipino artist.
And she rearranged also the music hope you like this
quite tribal
strumming my pain with his fingers singing my life with his words
killing me softly with his song killing me softly with his song telling my whole life
with his words killing me softly with his song
I heard he had a star and so I came to see him to listen for a while
He was this young boy a stranger to my eyes Killing this off me, with this song, Killing this off me, with this song,
Telling my whole life, with this word,
Killing this off me, with this song.
with his song
felt all flushed with fever
embarrassed by the crowd
i felt it found my letters and read each one out loud
I prayed that he would finish
But he just kept wide eyes
Charming my faith with his fingers
Sending my life with his fingers Sending my life
with his works
Killing me softly
with his arms
Killing me softly
With his arms
Tearing my whole life
With his works
Killing me softly Oh, Lord, with this world, you're the least one.
With this song.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, la la la, la la la.
String my pain with his fingers, Selling my life with His face Hearing me softly
With His song
Hearing me softly
With His song
Telling my whole life
With His words

I'm like, I've got to find out who this is.
I'm just waiting for it to be over
so I can find out who it is
and I can follow that.
Thank you, Rocky.
That was amazing.
I really enjoyed that.
And thank you for the heart's white vomit.
My pleasure.
That was absolutely beautiful.
Yeah, nailed it.
And Cherry, it's not just your voice,
but it's your heart.
Your heart shows through your voice.
I can hear your heart in your voice
and it's just so refreshing.
thank you mojo
Thank you, Mojo.
terry thank you so much appreciate you

of the list so now we also have
uh we've got extinct up
in here and we have a porkalypse too.
So let's go to extinct.
We'll go to porky and then I guess we could do a host round.
What's up extinct.
How are you?
Good to see you.
Thanks for joining.
Are you with us?
You're mic'd up.
I can't hear him.
The stupid app is muting me.
Yeah, it's been glitchy. Yeah.
Fuck this.
Fuck, guys.
Fuck the FBI.
All I hear is fuck.
I know he hates the government.
Just by the little blips that we've got,
it sounds like he's in and out, but yeah,
we totally understand that you hate the government.
I think he's being censored.
Yeah, you're rugging out on us a bit.
You're just chopping it up.
It looks like...
Yeah, you're chopping in and out. Yeah, you're chopping it in and out
Yeah, you're very choppy
The government's totally shutting you down
Shutting off, yeah
You're hitting some trigger words, I think
Do you want to
Do you want to try to drop down and come back up
And see if that fixes it?
Take a lap

Let's call him
Calling Porky
Porkalypse
Porky That's all sorry i didn't hear you
answering machine what what century are we in well that's what i'm talking about so okay listen
friends don't leave friends Voicemails Well I'm dating myself
When answering machines existed
Back in 1900
Yes back in the
Early 1900s
Is it a tape
Is it a cassette tape
I had the song Kryptonite
Playing on the answering machine
And I'd be like
Hey it's Kara Can't get to the phone right now and then it's blessed yes i'm dating myself here anyway i wonder
what your answering machine would sound like porky what would you play it had my business
on it saying hey i can't come to the phone
perfect but yeah I'm sorry
I didn't hear y'all yelling for me
I had my headphones on
Oh, get your attention eventually
Yeah, you came through my mic
I was going to play
a new beat
a new beat I have
I guess I'll enjoy it
I don't know if I've played this one before
I'm probably playing one I'm supposed to play on Sunday
Bring it on
Here we go This is the first time I was working on the so Thank you. so so so so I'm sorry. wow i love that beat you know if joseph was here he'd be like porky
yeah you know where to send that you know where to send that porky
that's right you know you know i'll just uh you know, we've given a lot of props to people and their growth
And Porky, too, like, his production skills.
Like, your arrangement and, like, and you can tell that because you were, like, I know
you were new to producing and probably music and, like, when you came into this scene a
couple years ago, too.
But your arrangement and just your, like, transitions between bar.
Like, your bar counting is getting better.
Like you're,
there's more dynamic to your beat.
There's more movement.
There's more of a story in your,
your productions now.
You know what I mean?
Rather than just,
just the repetitive loops,
I'm learning.
You got a lot more.
If you can't grow,
you don't get better.
I really liked that one.
You got to like the,
the dynamic range between the two different bases and stuff like that in there too.
Yeah, it was really cool, man.
I like that one.
It was well put together.
Yeah, some people take that as an offense.
Well, you've come so far.
I'm like, that's such a great compliment, right?
I've only been doing this for four years.
Four years.
I wasn't sure how long yet.
It's fantastic.
And it just continues to get better and and there's no there's no like plateau where you get to a place well i've
arrived there's always something to learn yeah yeah it's just it's one thing to like you know
there's a lot of you know producers and beat makers and stuff but to take that and then like
you know add the transitions make a full song of it you know what i mean like it's it's um you know
kind of gives an artist something to work with and a bit of a storyboard already when there's,
you know, nice flow to it, nice transitions and stuff. So. Yeah. Yes. Agreed. I think that's
what helped me win the last beat battle is because mine touches emotions and tells a story.
Yes. Stories are key. That's our whole lives are based on stories. So you're right on good stuff.
Well, thank you. And if I'll stick around, I got another one I can play later. Our whole lives are based on stories. So you're right on. Good stuff.
And if I'll stick around, I got another one I can play later.
No, that's it.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm not sure.
Sorry, we have to cut you off. Yeah, no, I'm not sure who is next here, Kara.
I guess I could look at the list.
I think we're back to the host round now.
Unless Extinct made it back up.
He got caught in the Matrix. Yeah, he did it back up. He got caught in the Matrix.
He got caught in the Matrix.
Yeah, but...
He's been in there for a bit.
Dash is here, though.
We have Dash. Hello. We'll go
Dash and then we'll do a host round. Hey, Dash.
Hi. Hello.
Good. Good. Hello.
Karamia, Mojo, Jewels,
Porky. Hi, Chris. Iba Burr, Rocky. Hello, Karamia, Mojo, Jewel, Porky. Hi, Chris.
Eba Burr, Rocky,
Cherry, and everybody in the space.
What up, Stash?
What up, Stash? What are you doing?
Good. I just made some Kool-Aid.
I was listening to y'all.
Some blue Kool-Aid. Is that Kool-Aid?
Did you mix it with alcohol?
What's going on?
Like legit making Kool-Aid?
All I can picture is the giant pitcher breaking his way through the back fence.
You might as well be
like that bug dude from
The Men in Black.
Drinking straight sugar water.
Sugar water.
I was like, really?
It was a hot day.
Yeah, all right.
Dehydrated.
Yeah, yeah.
I just got in.
I'm getting my guitar right now.
I don't know what to play.
What should i play
hmm does anyone have it i mean look i have i always have the same requests
we were i was saying earlier that um jules jules whipped out a saxophone right he's very
saxy tonight thankfully because i've been like pestering him for weeks to play saxophone.
And I was like, literally, Jules is the equivalent on saxophone
of Stash on the guitar because y'all are just so smooth.
It's like, look, the joke is, the joke is,
the girls, all the girls take their panties off
and throw them at the phone, right?
Stash on his guitar.
They do that for Jules too when he plays the saxophone so that's how i've envisioned that's how i envisioned this happening
and you missed it i brought extra panties tonight i know right so anyway i had oh man yeah that's
pretty funny my buddy uh i did an event like a couple years ago i played this new year's eve
event and i it was like kind of like this open area or whatever
where they made this whole place
to dance for or whatever.
Anyway, and I
ripped into this sax solo and one of my buddies
had grabbed this mop and
came up to the front with this fucking mop
when I was playing the saxophone.
Anyway, it was fucking ridiculous, but it was really funny.
exactly what I would think.
I love the brass.
I love the brass.
Shoot, I try to imitate trying to play the trumpet with my mouth
just because I wish that I would have pursued something in that.
The closest thing I came to it was the trombone,
just because it's fun to have a slide in front of you like that.
But frickin' A, I wish I would have stuck with the sax.
That would have been awesome.
You could do it again.
Absolutely. It's never too late.
Absolutely. I third that. Do it.
You can, what did you say before, Joe?
You can triple tongue it?
That's right. Triple tongue.
The girls love that, baby.
Work on your fingering and your triple tonguing
and you'll be good to go in no time.
You can drop a panty fingering.
Stash is going to do some triple tonguing for you, Chris.
Take it again.
Take it again.
Take it again.
Take it again.
Take it again.
Take it again.
Yeah, there we go.
Take it again.
I like that guy. If you can triple tongue the guitar, that would be not a problem. Jules,. Yeah, there we go. Take it again.
I like that guy.
Jules, you know, it's dangerous.
There's going to be a lot of people that's going to be jealous.
Of Stash and Chris. Including women, just saying.
Including women.
Not limited to women, but including women.
Wait, jealous of Jules?
No, Stash. Oh, St oh stash oh i don't know yeah it's funny i i people jump into my dms all the time but it's not it's not just women i'll be i'll be honest
with about that so it's just i'm like oh thank you i just see you as a friend i'm not oh both of
them both both sides why you know it's so funny there? There's another story you just reminded me of too.
My brother one time,
he's like one of the nicest dudes.
He's like one of the nicest
fucking like honestly
just innocent, naive dudes.
And he's on the bus,
like rode the bus for like,
he lived in Vancouver
for a long time.
So he's on a long bus ride
and he just like had a conversation
with this guy
and he just like thought
it was friendly or whatever
and like thought the guy
like might actually just want
to have a beer,
like a heterosexual dude
or whatever.
And like gave this dude his number. And I i'm like what do you mean gave this dude your
number and like you didn't think he was gay and like hitting on you i totally thought he was
straight you know what i mean like anyway so yeah i like phoned him and yeah they ended up having
the beer and that's when he found out dude was like totally gay oh my god not that there's
anything wrong with that like don't get me wrong you know what i mean but like it's just no it's
funny that he didn't like you know clue into funny that he didn't clue into it or whatever.
It was totally like, it reminded me of like.
I feel like your brother and I would be really good friends.
I've been there.
Just like was being nice and thought he made a new friend or whatever.
And then it was like totally got sexual when they were.
It's like that's fucking hilarious.
Been there.
Well, there you go.
It happens, I guess.
It happens.
Did we buy you enough time, Stats?
Yes. I mean, we could talk all night if y'all want to.
You play, and I'll just take my panties off right now.
No, let's go.
I'm telling you.
Joe's ready.
Joe's ready.
All right, I'm going to try this one.

Oh, my God.
That was so dope.
That was so dope.
Mojo, what happened?
Get you back up here.
Can't miss host round.
Stash, that was amazing.
I don't know if I've heard you do that one before.
I mean, I got a bunch of songs I ain't played.
I probably played it like once, you know.
I feel like I might have heard it.
But, yeah, no, that was sick.
That was really sick.
Thank you. thank you.
It was just a little warm up.
But awesome, awesome.
Who you got next?
Well, we're going to do a host round, but Joe dropped down.
Joe, I invited you to speak.
Nice work, Stashito, man.
Gracias, Jules.
Very smooth, very smooth.
Yeah, we lost Mojo.
Maybe he did say he had to dip soon, but I think he was going to do a host round.
So we'll give him a sec.
Yeah, he said he was going to do another one.
He said he had to leave after.
I wonder if he's having connection issues.
Twitter has been so weird lately.
But hey, thank you every single one for joining us tonight.
Really appreciate y'all.
I do this every Thursday.
We got Joe back up here. Let me send you the co-host invite. You back? We hear you? But hey, thank you every single one for joining us tonight. Really appreciate y'all. I do this every Thursday.
We got Joe back up here.
Let me send you the co-host invite.
We hear you?
Can you hear me now?
Welcome back.
Welcome back to your space. Mojo Jojo.
Mojo Jojo.
I like that, Mojo Jojo.
Little Ro-Ro over there, which is rocky.
Little Ro-Ro, which I fondly call him.
Don't put that on me.
That was Thanos that said that shit, but it's just sticking.
So Little Ro-Ro just named him Mojo Jojo.
All right.
Mojo Jojo.
All right.
It's going to be too much.
What would you like to play for us?
What do you do?
I'm going to give you a choice, Carrot.
You've heard both of these songs.
From your feedback, you like them both.
So I could either do Hotel California or the Hosier song Too Sweet.
You choose.
I think you would.
Oh, that's a tough one.
Listen to Jules.
I love Hotel California. So I would pick that up.
Personally.
Yeah, me too.
It's one of my favorite.
There we go. mojo your sound is your sound is ruggy yeah you're not giving us good sound mojo Mojo. All right. All right. Let's see what I can do about that.
Let's see.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What can I do?
Is it on what spectrum?
I think it's.
Yeah, it's on white spectrum, but.
Can you turn off your Wi-Fi?
Do you have service?
Is it Wi-Fi?
I usually turn my Wi-Fi off and it helps when I host.
Is it plugged into something? Like, are you into a system?
Have you tried rice?
It takes us everything.
All right. Am I back?
That's ridiculous.
Let's try that. Check one.
Tell me if you can hear me again.
Yeah, I got you.
I hit the piano.
All right.
It was like it was peaking on us.
Much better.
Does it sound all right?
Yeah, it sounds a lot better.
Okay, cool.
Let's try it again.
No, it a lot better. Okay, cool. Let's try it again. Nope.
Yeah, it's getting like
peaked out on us somehow and it kind of just
squashes out.
Come back to me. I'll solve this
particular... I'll solve this issue and I'll come back
to me. Alright.
Come back to us because I love that song. Can we hear from Jules?
I want to hear Jules' saxophone.
Yeah, do it again.
Jules, do it again.
Okay, yeah, it's 9.30.
I could probably wail on this thing one more time.
Give me a sec here.
This is like my favorite thing
in the fucking world.
Listening to Jules play saxophone like no shit.
Yeah, I don't, I just, I haven't practiced.
It's like I don't even know what to play.
But let's see if I can get one more.
I don't mean, I just gotta, hang on.
I'll be right back.
I need the.
Yeah, you need the Jeopardy music.
See if I can do...
See if I can remember Baker Street here.
Oh, that's an awesome one.
See if I can remember the lick.
It's been a minute. see if I can remember the lick Yeah, that's it.
Let's see if I can remember this.
It's been a minute since I played this one.
It's probably one of the first things I learned in the sax, actually,
just because I loved the Simpsons.
Man, I don't remember.
Never mind.
You don't get that one.
You don't get that one. Oh, but we love listening to you cook.
It's almost there.
Keep trying to figure it out. All right, there you go, Lestash.
Oh, my gosh.
That's my favorite.
Look at that red. Oh my god, Jules!
Super sexy.
That bums me out because Baker Street's one of my favorites.
I haven't tried to play that one in a while.
Well, you know what?
You are tasked.
You have homework.
You have homework.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, I guess I'm homework.
So next week, you're going to come back and host with me.
We're going to do something.
And you're going to learn.
You're going to practice.
You're going to figure it out.
I'm excited.
But that was awesome, Jules.
I'm excited, too.
Dude, I mean, if anybody knew an instrument that well enough,
like, I can't believe, like, you're holding out on us, bro.
Like, you would think, like, damn, I'm going to work on this for this coming Thursday, you know?
Yeah, I just don't practice enough.
So I get kind of shy with the sax, I think, which is weird.
But, yeah, I do love it, man.
I appreciate it.
I appreciate you guys motivating me to bust it out and get the dust off it once in a while
So yeah, that's good too
You have no reason to be shy because that's how you I just us listening to you cook and trying to figure things out
it sounds so cool like
Lot of people can't do this stuff. You know like a lot of people can't and you can
Yeah, and I
Kind of learned by ear really like I don't have like I lot of people can't and you can. Yeah. And I learned by ear, really.
Like I don't have, like I said, I don't have, like, I don't, like if somebody was like, oh, give me the major scale of this.
Oh, I thought you were in band.
Like you didn't learn that in high school?
No, no, no.
I started playing sax when I was 20.
I thought you grew up playing it.
I was 29 when I started, when I picked up the sax.
I didn't know that.
Yeah. Yeah, I was 29 I thought
you were playing since you were like in high school that's no no no that makes it even cooler
you see what I'm saying it's never too late it's never too late and you and the story actually is
fucking really funny so I only started playing two and I was interested and I think the sax
is great and like there's a lot of uh there's a lot of people that inspire me in music to play sax.
But the reason I got one and ended up with one in the beginning,
I had a barbecue.
I hosted a barbecue at my house.
And my friend and his daughter had gone to garage sales that day.
They just spent the day going to garage sales, and they came to my barbecue.
Anyway, so he bought this fucking alto sax at a barbecue, or sorry, at a yard sale, and came to my fucking barbecue with it.
And then he forgot it at my house.
And then the next morning, this saxophone was at my house.
And I was just like, well, I wonder if I could play the saxophone.
And that's basically how I started playing the saxophone.
That's awesome.
Oh, I love that.
It's kind of funny.
It's like just random as shit. But like, yeah, I love that. That's pretty sporty. It's kind of funny. It's like just random as shit.
But, like, yeah, I love it.
It's great.
You were destined.
You were destined.
You know, it's like the saxophone shows you.
So do you read sheet music?
No, definitely not.
That's wild.
We're going to have to talk. I'm curious.
Yeah. That's why like, I just, I just played by ear. That's why like, for me, like, you know,
I played the guitar since I was a kid. Like I can play that, you know, mostly bass. Actually,
I started on the bass and then I got a six string when I was like, maybe like 14 or something like
that. Uh, and then I started again, producing hip hop around the same time, 14, 15 years old.
I think it was 1999. So yeah, 14, um, was when I started doing again, producing hip-hop around the same time, 14, 15 years old. I think it was 1999, so yeah, 14 was when I started doing that.
And then the sax, I always played by ear,
so I really liked just jamming over my hip-hop beats that I make
and stuff like that and just noodling around really is what I've liked to do.
But yeah, I never did covers, you know what I mean?
Everything I did was always just kind of, yeah, just read sheet music of any kind. I just do things.
Wow, that's incredible.
Good on you.
Well, I feel like we should check in with Mojo
to see if we can hear him,
because I know that he does have to go.
I don't want to keep you.
All right. Let's do it.
Yeah, I think so.
I think I got that fixed.
How's the sound? like we should check in with Mojo to see if we can hear him because I know that he does have to go I don't want to keep you all right yeah I think so I think
I got the fixed how's the sound yes yes all right so we'll try this again again
I'm just playing from a chord chart here on the piano and it won't come up the
same way twice so this is a one-off of a song that you will be familiar with. On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair.
Cool wind in my head Warm smell of colitis rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim I had to stop for the night There she stood in the doorway, with the mission there
And I was thinking to myself, this could be heaven or this could be air
She lit up the candle, she showed me the light.
There were voices down the corridor, but I heard them say,
Welcome to the Hotel California.
Such a lovely place, such a lovely face.
Plenty of room at the Hotel California.
Any time of year, you can find a hair.
Your mind is Tiffany Twisted.
She got a Mercedes Benz
Got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
She calls my friends
I've danced in the courtyard
Sweet summer swamps
There's own dance to remember There's some dance to remember some dance to forget so i called up the captain i said
please bring me my wine and he said we haven't had this three years since 1969
Since 1969
And still those voices
Are calling from far away
Wake you up
In the middle of the night
Just to hear them say
Welcome to the hotel
California
Such a lovely place Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Living it up at the Hotel California
Searching by surprise
Bring the alibis, mirrors on the ceiling, big champagne on ice, and she said, we are all just prisoners here, of our own device.
And in the master's chamber, they gathered for the feast.
They stab it with their stealing knife, but they just can't kill the beast.
Last thing I remember, I was running for the door.
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before.
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
Relaxed, said the night man, we are a program to receive
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave Thank you. Oh Wow.
Wow. Oh, God. Powerful one. wow wow powerful on the piano
it's such a powerful cover on the piano man
I love it and you play really well
I've always loved that song
I've never heard it covered on piano before
hearing you do it the last
few times man it's amazing
I love the passion you throw into few times man it's amazing love it thank you i love the passion you
throw into it too man you really get into music you really do he's a showman for sure too yes
yeah he slams on those keys even just your your vocal inflection though too like you get you get
into the story on that one too it's great yeah I love songs like this one that do tell a story
because it kind of leads you into,
like if you're listening to what you're singing,
it leads you into how you want to share that
so it communicates the emotion of the story.
Yeah, this one's perfect for that.
She got a lot of pretty boys that she calls friends.
Leans into it.
Very nice, Mojo.
I know you've got to take off,
so it's been fun to co-host with you tonight.
I think Kara's happy to finally have you on the show too.
You're always a pleasure to be around.
Thank you for coming out tonight.
I've enjoyed it very much too
and I'll certainly be around next
time I'll bring my trumpet with me.
Yes. We can get some little trumpet sound
going on as well. By the way, one of the songs I love to
play on trumpet is Baker Street as well
so we can have a Baker Street play on it.
Yeah, he definitely has
the, I've heard you do the full thing
though, like the full song. I've heard
you play the trumpet and like sing the whole, I do the whole thing. Yeah, I'm definitely song. I've heard you play the trumpet and sing the whole thing.
I do the whole thing.
Yeah, I'm definitely not on that level.
But hopefully by next week I'll at least have that solo
licked out for you guys.
Love it, yeah.
That's an all-time classic saxophone solo.
Oh, yeah, yeah, I love it.
One day we're going to have a show.
See if I can get Careless Whisperer, too.
And I used to be able to play the Game of Thrones on the saxophone, too on the saxophone too oh yeah it sounds cool on the sax i like it yeah i'm sure it does
yeah so i wonder if um i don't know if you know the show it's called succession but the theme song
from succession on piano i would love to hear you play that oh man you should you should um
if you google it just google the show listen to You should, if you Google it, just Google the show. Listen to the
theme song, if you remember.
You don't have to, but I'm just saying. I would love
to see if you could play that, because that is
my favorite.
Send it over.
I love the challenge.
Yeah, I could send it to you.
Perfect. Hey, Kara, thanks for
inviting me to co-host. I've really enjoyed it, and
Jules, always a pleasure.
This group of musicians that come in and out of your space
who have become friends, even though we haven't met in real life,
what a joy to just share music together,
even on a space that isn't very music-friendly.
So thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Joe.
I'm so happy that I finally got you up here to co-host with me. It's
been so much fun. You've been such a pleasure. As Jules said, I love having you in the space.
I love your vibe, your positivity, and I love your music. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And hopefully I'll catch you tomorrow at some point. Maybe you want to roll through Cardano
you want to roll through cardano nights open mic night which we do at eight o'clock guys
Night's Open Mic Night, which we do at 8 o'clock. Right. Absolutely.
absolutely mean vlog intent yep so have a great night appreciate you guys too all right bye for
now bye all right um i'm going to try all right so i learned stashash and Chris is still here. Yeah. So I learned my first bar chord.
I am going to try to play the song that I have the bar chord in. That's a lot of it.
F minor sharp. Also, a lot of slash chords, which is really exciting. Yeah, slash chords.
A slash D. G slash D. Let's go. F minor sharp bar. All right, we'll see if I can do it.
F-minus sharp bar.
Alright, we'll see if I can do it.
It's not perfect, but it's decent.
It's not perfect, but it's decent.
Alright. Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even what we see
We will find you
Acting on your best behavior.
Turn your back on.
Love and nature.
Everybody wants to rule the world. It's my own design
It's my own remorse, have been turned aside, have been made the most afraid of, and a pleasure. And the pleasure, nothing ever lasts forever.
Everybody wants to move on.
There's a room where the light won't find you.
Hold it in when the walls come tumbling down
They'll be, I'll be right behind you
So glad we almost made it
So sad, they tried to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Mapping with it like a vision
Everybody wants to rule
Saying that they'll never, never, never, never need it
Whatever life, why believe it?
Everybody wants to rule the world Oh my god, I did it.
That's awesome.
I love how stoked you are with your song.
I love how stoked you are with your song.
First bar chord I've ever played and first bar chord I've ever played in an entire song
and there's a lot of that F minor sharp in that song.
I'm so proud. I'm so proud.
I'm so excited.
That's great.
That's great.
I love how stoked you got yourself in mid-song there.
I haven't been able to play a bar chord in two years.
Like, I avoid all songs of bar chords.
I transpose.
That is very, very exciting to me.
I cannot wait to tell my guitar instructor that I did it.
Thanks for listening.
I know it wasn't perfect, but.
No, no, no.
It was perfect.
It was perfect.
I think it always sounds better when you bar your finger.
Stash, I think you'll get this like across, like closer to, I don't know what it's called, the line where the fretboard is.
You know, like that metal line.
Yeah. Yeah. If I put it like in the middle of the fret what it's called, the line where the fretboard is? You know, like that metal line? Yeah.
If I put it in the middle of the fret,
it's like, okay, but usually if I put it down further, it's all about placement
I'm finding, too. Yeah, wait till
you've had
some time with it and you realize that
these bar chords are way
easier than the actual chords.
They are. To me, these are
like the lazy way to play the guitar, honestly.
Bar chords are like, I'm like, that should have been like the first thing my instructor should have taught me, you know?
Yeah, they're clutch, man.
I know how to play F minor sharp, B, B flat.
I'm learning B minor.
Yeah, and then I learned, I've talked to you on the back end.
I have so many things I want to tell you, Stash, that I learned from I learned, I've talked to you on the back end. I have so many
things I want to tell you, Stash, that I learned from my lesson on Wednesday that were very
exciting. It's a lot more impressive for you too, Kara, just so you know, like look at the length
of Stash's index finger. That's in his fucking PFC. I know. That's what I'm saying. So Stash
and I have FaceTimed many times and we'll play play guitar and he'll, like, show me things.
And I'm like, but I'm like, yo, seriously, bro, look at your hands.
Because my hands are small.
And they don't reach, Chris, they don't reach across.
Girl, let me take a picture of my fingers with a measuring stick.
with a measuring stick.
Do you have small hands too?
Do you have small hands, too?
I don't think they're small, small,
but they're not large or long like them guys.
Yeah, that's the only thing with the bar cord.
That's hard to stretch.
You've got to hold all six strings with your finger, right?
But there is a trick.
When you're barring a cord,
most of the time you don't have to really press all six
strings because your other fingers are doing other notes so you just have to focus on those
remaining um you know notes that you have to bar so a b minor you really just have to worry about
two strings to bar the rest are your remaining fingers so So it's actually easier. Those, the A minor, B minor forms, and you move up and down the fret, it's actually easier.
I find the B minor hard to play because I'm adding the third finger in there in an awkward position.
Oh, my God, an awkward position, if that makes sense, right?
Because it's like the ring finger and the pinky finger on whatever those strings are, and fourth right and then you're stretching your other finger back to hit like another string
and then you're burying your index finger across and like this is the most awkward formation
ever and she just like even like broke my brain because like because i don't play like a guitar
a lot but my thing with the bar chord is like i'm always super focused on like trying to get my
finger dead flat across the the one fret you know what i mean and it just you're just like oh yeah i guess i'm only really
going to focus on it no you don't really have to do it you have to it depends on the chords um some
of the jazz chords you kind of have to do more than typically four strings that you have to bar
but otherwise you don't really have to do all six strings people think that you have to do all six strings. People think that you have to perfect all six. It's not. You have to see
what notes really need to be played. There's always, there's at least there's two that you
have to borrow very clearly. Like usually the first string and the sixth string, if you're doing
an E minor or F minor, F sharp minor kind of form because you're occupying the whole entire strings.
But if it's a B minor, the E, the sixth string is a dead string.
You're not supposed to strum it.
So you're really just focusing on just the first string and the fifth string on barring
and the remaining fingers are on the other strings.
So there's a trick.
Sometimes you just have to focus on what you
yeah you know what's interesting is that i he taught me uh power chords too and i was like oh
man these they're cool they're it's a lot of fun a lot of fun learning similar concept
similar concept you got it girl about it yeah you just got to keep doing it and sometimes for the
songs when you're barring,
you really don't have to play all the strings, to be honest.
That's what I'm saying.
It's a matter of...
Chris, I want to ask you, what feels easier,
the actual chords, like the ABCs,
or just like barring everything?
For me, it depends on the genre.
I'm more focused on the sound that it makes.
It's different when you're using a different set of octaves of notes.
So, for example, you can play an E minor on the 5, 6, 7, 8th?
No, 9th fret.
Wait, did I say that right?
I can't see.
I can't imagine it.
Like a B minor, but then you can also play an open E minor on the 2nd fret.
That's easier for me.
Now, if your whole entire song is made up of,
it requires you to play it like a barcode chord throughout your fretboard up and down.
chord throughout your fretboard up and down. That's a little exhausting for me.
That's a little exhausting for me.
I mean, I play, if you're playing
a steel guitar, you have to put a little bit more effort.
If it's a nylon string classical guitar, it's usually better.
But if it's a flamenco guitar with a wider neck, that's a little bit harder
because now you're fretting a bit more
area. bit harder because now you're you're fretting a bit more uh area bigger area so um i'm like 50 50
sash because for me it's the requirement of the song but barcording for me it gets a little bit
more exhausting um for me so i like i like to convert things if I could do open strings with
a little bit of variation and do
that. Because
I can really hit
lower octave notes to sound like
bassy, but then I can also hit
higher octave notes
to add the melody.
So it depends.
Not everybody's got eight fucking hands, Chris.
God damn it
I know right
I answered
It's not that complicated
That was the question
I can show you my tricks next time
Please I need all the tricks
I love learning the tricks.
Oh, my God.
You guys are so cool.
I love it.
Just got the bass, the melody going, and the counter melody.
Yeah, exactly.
Got all these, got like 17 fingers to reach everything.
I love that I am friends with such talented human beings.
Like, seriously, everyone is so fucking talented.
And I just feel so fortunate to be, you know, connected with you guys and actually call you friends.
So I love the tips and the tricks.
Appreciate you all so, so much.
Chris, I know you said that you're chilling and showering and whatever.
You don't want to play another song, right?
You're done?
I'm not going to describe what I'm doing right now.
I'm going to run a track.
This is one of my tracks that I produced,
but it's a collab with a few
different artists, so I'm only
in the tail end of this one.
Just saw that Dr. Bruce has been
hanging out tonight, and I haven't listened to this song
in a long minute, but this is kind of a little shout out to him
for pulling up but this is
And Crowe too, someone who hasn't been around in a fucking minute is on this song, but yeah, I'm gonna run this track
Shout out to go. I could just breathe you in.
I could just breathe you in. I ain't with the distance, but the silence more to vicious So I'm action with my bronze son, like, fuck, that is delicious
My racing like I'm driven by hope to my ambitions
The visions that I'm getting got me manifesting blessings
Finally accepted, we probably getting what we're giving
So I'm giving my existence, all you gotta do is listen
Feeling it's like you need
Wheels like falling
I could just breathe you in
I could just breathe you in
I could just breathe you in
I got all these people all around me
But they're nothing like you
Misunderstood beneath the surface when I'm seeking the truth.
If I kept the message in the bottle, it was all in the proof.
And I saw ribbons in the sky when I be singing the blues.
And when I first met you, I was paying them dues.
Up in the street, she be smooth like a skin with tattoos.
And she detect the promise, everything from the jewels.
To all the money, that's a secret to manipulate fools.
I'm on the path of all destruction.ions for a war that's now erupted.
Mind and body's what they opted for your soul that's now corrupted.
Feeling it's taking in.
Feels like falling.
I could just breathe you in.
I could just breathe you in. I could just breathe you in.
I could just breathe you in.
She got eyes like quicksand.
Feel me sticking in.
Lately I've been feeling like I'm falling, but she got my hand.
And I ain't trying to keep you, baby girl, if you want a man.
And goddammit, my girl, let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Let me hold you down.
Feeling it, thinking in
Feels like falling
I could just breathe you in
I could just breathe you in
I could just breathe you in. I just breathe you in.
I love that song.
And Krover.
Oh my God, I haven't, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm
like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm
like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, but no like reverb or anything on it just clean And then me playing a little riff on the on the keyboard like a piano that's like the like that's the extent of my
There's a little bit of a sax that you can hear the sax horn on there the stabs
Cool stuff jewels cool stuff
Amazing guys so talented cool stuff jewels cool stuff isn't he amazing guys
yeah that one yeah it's been a minute like i don't yeah and i hope crover's doing all right
i i don't remember the last time he was on um a fucking x base to be honest it's been months yeah
i'm connecting with him on instagram i should dm him and be like hey yeah i don't know what's
going on with him is he still posting stories on the regular?
I think I saw some stories pop up from him relatively recent, but I've been going on
there too much.
Anyway, but yeah.
Shout out to Dr. Bruce.
He watches my stories all the time.
Yeah, he's still out there.
He watches.
I haven't spoken to him, but anytime I post something, he watches it.
Yeah, I haven't talked to him in a while. I'm going to reach out to him and see how he's doing.
I miss him. He's very talented, too. I really like his music.
And there was a time back like last year, the year before, he was regularly hosting Beat Street Saturdays and other spaces.
And that's where actually I think that's where I met you, Jules.
I think you were co-hosting for him in that space i think that's where we met
actually yeah yeah it's been a while so and he had he had some fun spaces they were pretty dope
they got pretty big and his music is good i really i appreciated him so that's a dope song
jules i love that one and the fact that you're like all over that shit that's so
cool yeah it's just yeah i like the way that one came together because it was all like i said it's
really simple like baseline and a simple keyboard like just back and forth on a couple of notes
like everything's really simple in it but it sounds it's very like i yeah it still came together
as like a good sounding like all around production if that makes sense yeah like
but if you if if i like if i broke down that beat like if i played each individual sound for you
separately by itself you'd be like yeah what the fuck this guy sucks you know what i mean like i
swear like if you heard them all separate you'd be like what the fuck uh but yeah they came together
pretty well it's the way that it comes together and you have a knack for it this is why you are
a producer this is why you do what you do.
And you produce some really great music.
And this is why you got all these collabs going on.
Appreciate it. Thanks.
Absolutely.
All right. So
let's get a few more. We have, oh God, we have
Marcos up here.
Marcos, what is up, man? How you doing?
Have you made any money yet? You still got
zero dollars.
Hey. Not poor, just broke. It's all money.
What's up, man? I was listening. Y'all were killing it up here, man. I was just in a listener for a
while. But what's up, man? For me, y'all want to hear something this is a newer one um i've done a
couple sessions to this beat um it's i never really worked with before but um it's it's not
on the project it's going to be just like a single i guess um but it's uh i guess i'll just
y'all tell me what y'all think about that
Do they understand? What it took to get here
Something I learned
Is to never let fear
What you have in your best year
Certain I'm great
Ain't no guest here
Pass to my right
Then now my left fear
Remember death's near
Never wait for next year
Life like a piece of buzzer, ain't no sauce is left here Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Money talks, bullshit walks, I'm taking the bus. Fire, gas, it's about to combust.
You can smell, but don't touch.
Like me, there's no such thing.
Flow's disgusting when I'm in the booth.
Know when the Russians do it for the arguing, the life that the bugs bring.
My flow is crack, that's why I'm hustling.
Don't give advice, don't try to rush him.
Don't know who I'm trusting.
Life can be rough, I stay puffin'
Water my weed, the lighter I must bring
Give it my all, y'all ain't puttin' nothin'
Y'all ain't puttin'
Y'all ain't puttin'
What it took to get here
Something I learned is to never let fear
Interfere with you having your best year
Certain I'm great, ain't no guest here
Bullshit, pass through my right, then I'ma let fear
Remember death sneer, never wait for next year
Life's like a pizza box, there ain't no slots of left fear Busterino's losses left here That was actually pretty dope, man.
What are you using to make the beat on that?
The beat, this was a pretty, I mostly write raps.
I do produce a little.
Oh, I thought you said you were making the beat too.
This is the first time I work with producers named Graham's. We just met him online.
Yeah, the flow was cool, man.
That was actually a bit of a vibe.
I'm not going to lie.
It was good.
We had some lines that made me snicker a bit and shit.
As long as there's a few lines or bars,
or at least a bar and a track, you know what I mean?
It was a vibe, you know what I mean?
Just pretty raw and coming through a space,
but that's dope, man.
Do you record from home too?
Do you put stuff out or are you just getting into this?
Like, I don't think we met before.
I should probably look at your profile and see what you actually do.
I got some music out, but I'm working on a project that, as I know,
is taking a little bit longer than I anticipated,
waiting on just people to get back to me with some collaboration. Oh, you got some next white some ceo here yeah you've put some stuff out nice i i have um but yeah i mean right now i just
i'm working on some music videos and doing a lot right now so um but i am i do work record from
home but i am actually i've gone to this um studio um that i've been just itching to get to
finally it took like i got delayed about a month getting into it but i actually um have been there
twice so far and done two songs there so um the plan is to continue going to that studio studio
and start recording there because their mic is just way better than my mic.
I mean, yeah, you don't need much.
I think people got their head wrapped around the fact they have to go to a studio.
And I don't think you do.
I was more just curious if you had music out because I just thought it was a bit of a vibe.
It's just kind of a chill flow and a nice, easy listening beat, nice bass on that.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I'd be curious to see more of what you got got i thought that was dope so uh yeah excited to hear some recordings
from you cool man i appreciate it yeah i mean for songs like that where um where the beat is almost
a little quieter kind of more background like the quality of mic is even more noticeable than on
some other types of beats so for that one particularly i actually did
i'll go to the studio to record that one but um yeah i mean i got a whole project coming out with
stuff i recorded at home it's not the worst you know it's not bad only people who record music
can even tell that it was recorded at home type stuff so some of the dopest you've ever
heard is recorded in people's
dining rooms and living rooms i promise you like especially when it comes to hip-hop stuff like
you'd be surprised how many dudes are just like hanging out like if you're a fan of like riselda
you know what i mean like conway the machine like look at watch how many songs that dude's recorded
in just like somebody's fucking dining room or living room that's got like a little basic setup uh yeah so anyway like yeah i i you know i know your studio
stuff will sound good but don't uh yeah i don't like i think you like if you can record at home
i bet you can put a decent mix on your stuff too and just you know you can still get some quality
mixes out without spending too much money hopefully but anyway uh i thought it was dope man
thank you i actually learned how to sound engineer by being my own sound engineer.
So it was a good skill to learn.
That's awesome.
I love your music, Marcos.
I appreciate you coming through.
It's been a while since I've seen you.
I don't know why I read his name as oh money like what is it what is it
it's fondue and we're trying to figure it out we're like is it oh money you have no no dollars
you have no money zero zero dollars like i just i read it as oh money that's but yeah marcos okay
and then he told us his name was Marcos, so I've been sticking to that. I always mispronounce the no dollars thing.
Yeah, I mean, it's a kind of a running joke at this point, you know.
It's O Money because they owe money to O Money.
But my name is Marcos, but I go by O's because what I leave is a mark.
It's just like โ€“
We had this tagline when we were younger, like in our teenage years.
We used to just say still broke.
Not poor, just broke. You know what I mean? We had these rap c when we were younger, like in our teenage years. We used to just say still broke. Not poor, just broke.
You know what I mean?
We had these rap ciphers called still broke.
But yeah, that's kind of what I thought of when I saw this O Money thing.
It was a great kind of nostalgia.
I work, but you know, my money, it always seems to need to go somewhere.
I'm like, why am I still broke at this age?
I feel you.
All right. Yeah, right on. I think that we should get a few more. I'm thinking we could let Rocky close out the space with Spin the Block.
So I want to check in with Cherry and Porky and see if they want to do another one and Stash.
Hey, Kara.
And Rocky, what's up?
Are you traveling? I am, I'm, I'm leaving work right now, like literally.
Um, so, I mean, I don't know when my train is coming, but y'all have me till then.
Do you have like an estimate?
I can, I can put you in a, in a a maybe after one more. I need to run back upstairs.
Yeah, I mean, I mean, it's going to take me about 10 minutes just to walk to the train station.
Yeah, I'm missing the first one. So the next one, the next one is coming in 20 minutes and it takes me about 10 minutes to walk.
So I should be good.
Okay, perfect.
Well, how about can you, because our text messages are insane.
I'd have to scroll through.
Can you text me spin the block again?
I'm not sure if I have it on this phone.
But I'll check.
Yeah, you check, and I'll go back upstairs,
and I'll scroll through and see if I can find it as well.
Let's get one from, well, let's see.
Porky, are you still here?
Yeah, I'm still here.
All right, Porky, you want to play another one?
And then, Rocky, I'll try to see if I can find it.
Pull one up real quick.
Let's see.
We'll throw a whisk.
I'm busy doing my thing, cooking.
I love it when you cook.
Is it bacon?
Uh-huh, always.
I know, right?
It's always bacon.
There's bacon everywhere!
Yep, everywhere.
Here we go. I'm going to go with the game. I was going to play with the game.
I was going to play with the game.
I was going to play with the game. What Thank you. This is the first time I was going to be able to get a new video.
I'm going to be able to get a new video.
I'm going to be able to get a new video.ใŠ็–ฒใ‚Œๆง˜ใงใ—ใŸ Oh Thank you.ใ‚“ใ‚“
ใ‚“ Thank you. Thank you.
Bing bong.
Bing bong.
I love that one.
I love that beat.
I love all of your beats.
Everything you do is so fresh.
I did that one yesterday.
I was going to say, did you do it like five minutes ago?
Because that's your thing.
I'm working on it right now, though.
Yeah, of course you are.
That was awesome, Porky.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate you coming through and sharing your music with us and supporting the space.
Oh, I thank you all for listening.
Enjoy listening to you all, too.
Of course. Of course.
All right.
I got your song.
My new favorite song by Rocky 2 Grimey.
I got it queued up.
Spin the block.
Do you want to say something about it before I press play?
Not much to say.
It's just my latest single on the blockchain coming to streaming at some point in the future.
You know, the blockchain gets everything first. That's just how it is now.
I will give y'all a little secret. There's going to be a remix at some point in the future as well.
There is a remix.
I linked up with somebody
for that. So y'all stay tuned
for that. But for now,
yeah, spin the block.
Spin the block, baby. I love this one.
Alright, guys. Here we go.
One more time.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Love it. One more time.-huh, uh-huh, spin the block, baby I'm okay, baby, do the block, try to finish it
Uh, look, girl, I know it's been a minute
We should never speak again from the way you're in it
It's just something about our vibe and I keep getting
Flashbacks to the last time I was in it
Damn, it's messed up how you try to spin it
Like you was just drunk, you was never with it
Now you know that's just dumb, shorty, who you kidding?
You would never circle back if you really meant it
I see that where I messed up was getting in my feelings
I wanna say I love you, but you don't wanna hear it
You wanna take my soul, you almost had my spirit
And you don't wanna love, you just wanna feel it
But you ain't gotta worry, baby girl, I get it
If you just wanna, baby girl, I'm with it
No strength attacks, I just wanna hit it
One last time until the next time I miss it
Spittin' the block baby
Talkin' in the street
Spittin' the block baby
Talkin' in the street I'm okay, uh-huh, uh-huh. Spin the block, baby. I'm okay, I'm okay.
Talk to me in the room.
Late night, phone ringin'.
I pick up, you singin'.
Tyrese, would you be my sweet love for a lifetime?
I'm here, if you need me.
Be my sweet lady. Come through, receive me, till you scream out
Rock his in
Aight girl, I think I get the point I bet the neighbors know my name the way we bring the noise
Maybe we should take a break before they get annoyed I take a shot, she be puffing on the digi joint
Yeah, all good, now we back to it She tell me lay back, she wanna to it. Don't you ever take what's mine, don't you act stupid.
Don't you act stupid.
Don't you act stupid.
R-R-K, uh-huh, uh-huh.
Spin the block, baby.
R-R-K, baby.
You're not.
Toxic energy.
R-R-K, uh-huh, uh-huh.
Spin the block, baby.
R-R-K, baby. Spin the block baby!
I love that song so much.
Bing bong.
Bing bong.
Bing bong.
I love that.
Oh, my God.
Rocky, that song.
I love that song so much. AJ makes fun of me because when I like get into something, he says I do this little like a white girl shoulder shrug
and I white girl shoulder shrug through that whole song. It is such a fucking vibe. I love
the beat. I love your cadence. I love your little like, oh, I can't even, like, you do the, like, the uh-huh, uh-huh. It's so cool.
Oh, my God.
I need to see this shoulder shrug.
I need, we, you got to put this on Instagram stories or tweets or something.
I need to see this. I'll just be giving y'all more fire to make money.
I can picture, I can picture the shoulder shrug.
Like, man, the mother of my kids, man, her dance is fucking hilarious. She's, like, I can see what you're saying, because, like, she does a shoulder shrug. Man, the mother of my kids, man, her dance is fucking hilarious.
She's like, I can see what you're saying, because
she does a shoulder shrug, but she's also got a finger
point while she does it, and it's just like,
it's fucking hilarious,
bro. It's just wild.
I can see you shoulder shrugging
like Elaine Benson, just
getting into it.
Mine's a little more Jersey Shore
with the fist pumping, right?
Awesome fist pumping.
All right.
Rocky's songs do that to me.
They are just so fucking, oh my God, you crush it every time, Rocky.
And he's got this signature like laughing in his songs.
You always hear him do it.
I love it.
Yeah, that's me.
I love the laughing. I don't know what it is. It's just something that comes with it. Yeah, that's me. I love the laughing.
I don't know what it is.
It's just something that comes with it.
It don't feel right if I don't do the laugh.
It wouldn't feel right if I heard you do a track
and not have that incorporated into it somehow.
Like, that's your thing.
It's like, even, like, I could be, like,
even, it could be a breakup song,
and there's going to be, like, the little laugh
somewhere sprinkled in there.
Yeah, right.
It's character. You have it?
Yes, agreed.
And Rocky, you have a lot
of character, my friend.
Well, I appreciate y'all, man.
I'm about to get out of here.
I'm about to go into the screen station.
I'll be home in like an hour.
Thank God.
I'm off tomorrow.
I'll talk in with y'all next week.
All right.
Yeah, absolutely.
Get home safe, man.
Rocky, thank you so much for joining.
I appreciate you.
And I'll probably talk to you later at some point.
And maybe if you want to come through Cardano Knights Open Mic Night tomorrow,
if you have time, that'd be dope.

Sounds good.
Safe travels on your train ride.

I've seriously done it. Well, that's got to be at least three tonight. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah. again for the 17th time.
That's got to be at least three tonight. Oh my God.
You're flipping through your phone
from different things or whatever
and then you just accidentally hit the
fucking X out of this place.

Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to, I will.
For if I ever saw you, I didn't catch your name.
But it never really mattered. I will always feel the same
Love you forever and forever, love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together, love you when we're together Love you when we're apart
And when at last I find you Your song will fill the air
Sing your light so I can hear you Make it easy to be near you you Away
Love you forever and forever Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart
And at last I saw you

My friends are cooler than yours.
I'm just kidding.
Anyway, drop the mic.
It's been an amazing night.
It's been so much fun.
Jules, thank you so much for co-hosting.
And thanks again to Mojo, having him for the first time.
He is incredible.
And thank you to every single person who is still here hanging out.
The space would not be anything if it wasn't for all of you that continue to support and roll through. I'm genuinely, genuinely, sincerely appreciative to every single person
that supports this space. It really means a lot to me. I love doing it. I love providing a platform
for talent to come through. I love hanging out and sharing music and having laughs and having fun.
And that's my vibe. My frequency is love and life and fun. I'm stealing it from Jules.
My frequency is love because I love that. I love that. I love the positivity. Don't got time for
the negative shit in my life and the negative spaces. So you guys want a positive place to
land to come through and express yourself. Please tap in the drop the mic. I also have a community
that you can tap into if you want to join. Feel free. It is in my bio.
You can tap on that and join in.
And you'll get notifications when the spaces are hosted.
So I'm going to shut up and let Jules, you know, throw his last words.
And anybody else who wants to say anything.
Bing bong.
Of course.
Yeah. No no I know
I have nothing like super motivational to say
I've always found it weird to say anything to wrap up
and I feel like the pressure is almost all
to give us a whole motivational speech
but yeah I guess
it's always a pleasure Cara I really enjoy
hosting with you
not a long spiel it's just been great
I enjoy it.
It's a lot of fun doing these music spaces.
I enjoy everybody that I've met in the music spaces.
Some of the best friends I've met on X
are from the music spaces.
And I like to lay low for the most part, to be honest.
And Cara does a good job.
But, you know, staying in touch with people
and reaching out and being just a true fucking friend,
a real person.
So, yeah, I have a hard time saying no to her. I always have a blast when I come and co-host with you. out and being a like just a just a true fucking like friend a real person so uh so yeah i have
a hard time saying no to her i always have a blast when i come and co-host with you and yeah

You know what I mean?
Like your vibe is just, I've been always warm, welcoming for everybody,
consistent, you know, since I met you.
So, man, much appreciated.
Oh, I appreciate you so much.
Yeah, it's been a couple of years now too.
Yeah, and you and Jonathan, you and Jonathan.
So I said, like, I don't trust many people. You and Jonathan,
the only two people that I've had three years
of hanging out on X,
you guys are the only two with my phone number.
That's right. I'm going to use that number
more often now, just so you know.
It's funny. I was telling him earlier,
it was like today or the day before,
I said something, and then I was like,
yeah, also, because he's like, you're the only two people to have my phone number.
I'm like, it's funny how I really, I try not to use the phone number because I don't want to bug you.
But here I am bugging you in the DM.
It's like, make that make sense.
Make that make sense.
Like Jonathan and I text.
It's funny because like most of the time people are on X too.
Like I feel like we're all just like most of the time like pretty close to X.
You know what I mean?
But yeah, Jonathan and I text a little bit too,
just to keep in touch.
But yeah, yeah.
Well, stay tuned because you're going to start getting
some more text messages.
Whether you like it or not.
But yeah, drop the mic.
Drop the mic's always fun.
Like I said, I think you just, you're a great host.
You always harbor like just a good, comfortable environment.
There's no sweat, no stress here. It's always good.
Aww. Thanks, Jules. Give it up for my co-host, Jules.
You're great.
You're so sexy.
Thank you for playing the saxophone tonight.
I was waiting for it.
I've been asking you for weeks.

Well, you have homework.
I love the brass.
Yeah, you have homework.
Homework for next week.
Yeah, I'm going to practice.
I'll be pinging you.
Chris with the ping pings.

a little bit different. We have a little bit of a different community that comes through to that.

chit chat than the space but it's fun so if you want to catch me you can go there also jonathan

She will soon.
She has a piano teacher, right, Layla?
Very cool.
What? You have a piano teacher?
That's right.
She knows how to play.
Yeah, that's great.
Maybe I'll get her to sing on Drop the Mic one day.
You should do a little duet with her.
That'd be so cute.
Oh, I think she would love that.
Are you shy?
Like, will you play in front of people?
Yeah, she's still shy.
I'm sure you can break her out of her shell stash.
