Hello everyone, and welcome to Epoch's End 570. Thank you so much for joining the space.
This is coming to you live from X, formerly known as Twitter. And everyone is welcome to speak here
on Epoch's End. For everyone listening to the recording of the space, sorry you couldn't make
it to join us live. We'll be doing it again on Wednesday, the Wednesday coming up.
But I don't think that space will be as exciting as this one, if I'm being totally honest.
Because we have so much news to talk about, so much Cardano-related excitement to talk about. Yeah,
just a little intro here. Every five days, we come here and talk all things Cardano because that is
the snapshot timing for the Cardano blockchain. And if you want to know more about that,
let's talk about it. If not, we'll keep moving on. But the epoch officially changes at
about 2:45 p.m. Pacific Pacific Standard Time here in California. Sorry that I don't have
an extrapolation for you to all of the. Related major time zones, but it's happening today.
That's why we're here, and I have a friendly face joining us here. A few friendly faces,
but one of them is requesting to speak. So let me introduce proudly, Spentron. Happy Epoch, sensor.
You can attend. I came up because I want a front row seat to all this great gossip you got for
Epoch today. You wish. No, this is just a more straight news Epoch end,
but just so much to talk about in the world of Cardano that we won't. Well, but you know,
if somebody wants to get spicy in here, you know, everything's on the table, but. No,
this isn't a drama space, as we've been accused of hosting recently. Have you been accused, Dan?
Have you been? No, I'm being sensitive, but well, there was one—I think it was
two epochs ago—where Jenny commented, "Oh, this is clearly going to be a drama space.
I'm gonna—I'm gonna take this epoch off or something." And I know she was just kidding,
but you know, words hurt sometimes. Yeah, I feel that. I feel that. But some epochs are
more dramatic than others. I'm sure everyone would acknowledge that as well. You know,
it's like some—sometimes it's a drama epoch, sometimes it's a It's a you know it's a big news epoch.
Sometimes it's just kind of quiet. Maybe maybe that's where the drama kicks in, though. Maybe
when it's a quiet news epoch, then people start spinning shit up. I have an idea of what the news
is. Do you think that this could be potentially the most positive crypto bullish news in an epoch
ever? Because I think it could be. It's a pretty concentrated little power punch for sure. Um,
here's my big takeaway from the last five days. Big brother is joining Cardano,
and he's pumping our bags. What do you think of that? Higher. Big brother is joining Cardano,
and he's pumping our bags. I'd wear that on a t-shirt. Of course, I'm being hyperbolic.
I'm just—it's been a unique, unique epoch. Spentron, let's let's just dive into that topic here.
How how was your crypto week, Spentron? It was good. I I didn't have to do much.
I haven't done a lot of trading this week. I'm just watching price go up, and I'm like,
this is great. I'm holding, and price goes up. This was why it was supposed to go. Well,
that's another topic that we need to get to. I mean, you just brought it up, but a big story from
the last five days: number go up. Is this good? Is this bad? Don't know. How do we feel? Very good.
I feel very good about it. But then there's a part of me that feels very bad about it because I'm
like, well, what about all the pores who don't have crypto? They're
and now they're just going to be. Oh, don't be cheeky. Buying the Pico top
and then I'm going to jump on them and I'm going to feel kind of bad for a cycle. But then I'm like,
no, you got to earn your stripes just like I did. That's dark. You got to become
a good community member, just like everybody, once in a while. Yeah, can number truly go up
without going down first? Maybe that's the real question here. Is down a prerequisite
before you can truly enjoy the the sweet tender fruits of the up? I've always said,
I always like this quote. Maybe it's a little too much, but I'm gonna say it anyways. But like,
like you can't really know the light until you touch the darkness. Yeah, that's bad. But it's okay
because Quasar's here. He's joined us as a speaker, and I think he's gonna he's gonna save you,
Spentron. Yeah, save no save Van Quasar, save Van. I am the savior of all. I will say Van
and Spintron, not myself, because you know that would be self-centered. I am my Messiah,
your Messiah, the Butterfly Messiah. I'm kidding you. I'm not egocentric or or or conceited at all.
You see how I saved both of you? What's going? Oh, dude! Like man, yo, yo, number go up like boom,
boom, boom, boom, boom. How you feeling? How you feeling about it? I am. Oh man, I love it.
I love it. I love it. I love it. Love it. It's going up. You enjoying?
My wife is telling me every day it's going up. She's checking the price. And then I, oh yeah, man,
yeah, she sure is. She's like, hey, how about that? I'm like, yeah, how how about it? It's great,
you know, just like just being with you guys, like being part of Cardano, you know, being engaged,
man. It's great, it's great. Until you realize you don't really have any fucking ADA,
you don't have any money, and number go up is great for everybody. Even if you don't have it,
I'm like, man, woo! I'm loving it. Fucking Burger King without a burger or a king, like,
and without a patty. It's literally the nothing burger. But hey, you know,
you can feed a lot of people with a loaf of bread. You want the cheeseburger without the cheese?
I want a cheeseburger with four slices of cheese. And if you order that at McDonald's,
they'll say they can't do it. But if you keep nagging them. Do it, and if they won't do it,
still next time take four slices with you and hand it to them and ask them to put them on there.
Let's let's just get some context here, guys, for how big the United States representatives,
House of Representatives, how big this last epoch has been. Five seventy, of course,
we're talking about here. I have something that I just put together here. U.S. House
passes landmark crypto bills, recognizing Cardano as quote likely mature and a commodity.
The U.S. House approved the Clarity Act, Genius Act, and Anti-CBDC Surveillance Act on July 17th.
That was yesterday, marking a historic win for crypto regulation. Under the Clarity Act,
Cardano joins Bitcoin and Ethereum as one of the three blockchains classified as decentralized,
treating ADA as a commodity regulated by the CFTC rather than a security under the SEC.
Community reactions emphasized boost in institutional adoption, DeFi growth,
and potential ETF approvals. I mean, this is a game changer, right, guys? I mean, am I am I missing?
Shout out, game changer. Honestly, I don't think it's that. I don't think it matters. Like, I don't,
I don't care. Yeah, what's the what does what does the House of Representatives do? Well, it's true.
I mean, I don't know what this looks like in the Senate, to be honest, but it is.
And it's it's a smaller house, less people in there. Smallest like a after party,
not a big house party or carnival. Like, how big is the House of Representatives, square feet wise?
Well, okay. Here's the general idea, though. Commodities are regulated in a completely different way
than securities, right? And generally, that's because there's fucking less shenanigans.
That's not to say that there isn't fraud and all kinds of crazy shit going on
in commodities markets, but I mean, we're talking about gold, oil, coffee, corn, things like this,
as opposed to issues of stock, right? Corn. I know you guys are aware of that,
but sometimes it's easy to just forget that this will have. I mean, it's it's. I don't.
I know this is an exaggeration, but to me, it's almost like saying Bitcoin, Ethereum,
and Cardano are part of the natural world, and the rest of this shit is vaporware. I mean,
please tell me why I'm wrong. I know that's a completely biased perspective, but it seems like
the U.S. House is like, hey, for all intents and purposes, all this other shit,
you can buy it if you want. It's speculative. You're probably gonna fucking get got
if you don't have someone helping you. And you know, Bitcoin, Cardano,
and Ethereum are truly separate. You know, in in pretty much every way. Although I do,
there's a clarification here that they this legislation didn't mention Cardano. At all,
or like you stop fighting, Spentron. Why are you fighting me? Like stop fighting. But like, come on,
come on. Tell tell the people why I'm why I'm wrong, Spentron. Please, we we all need to know,
including me, especially. No, I think I think you're right.
I just like you know they didn't label Cardano as likely mature. We labeled ourselves likely mature.
Self-labeling is important for an individual's you know identity. I can. It's a process. Wait,
who labeled? Who labeled? Oh, likely mature. Cardano Yoda. Hosky. No, it was Cardano Yoda first.
Yeah, and then it went viral. They're the same person. Community noted.
So you're saying I've beclowned myself here today on Epoch's end by spreading fake news? No,
I think it's. You have spent from both. Are the? I just want to do a point of clarification.
Damn it, that was it. I think it's. Never mind. I'm gonna shut the fuck up. No, no, no, no.
You're both. Tell me, and Clarkway, or whatever. He originated the likely mature thing. Well,
the community notes asked me to rate that as the reason why it was false news.
Because I'm a community note raider sometimes, but I don't. Only the ones I, I, you know, I push.
I don't really do it that often. And I saw that one on like Tap Tools, and then and Cardano Yodas,
and then that one was like. Oh yeah, this is not real. This was an AI generated post
from Cardano Yoda. I was like, rate this as a community. AI, god damn it, man. That's all.
You gotta, you gotta say this is AI generated. That's why we, that's why we need Spentron here, man.
He's like, pardon me, this is Kaka. My apologies. I think eventually you'll be right.
Eventually you're right. We will be labeled likely mature, but the legislation didn't say anything
like about it. I think the the new entity that governs commodities they'll have to deem us
that now going forward. In some announcement, probably, but it hasn't been,
you know, said on on like an official status anywhere. Why does it say here?
Show us what you're reading. I hope I'm wrong. Please prove me wrong. I want to be wrong on this.
I'm going to. I have an handwritten note. I'm just no. I jotted down the note. I jotted down that
the Clarity Act. Has classified Cardano along with Bitcoin and Ethereum as likely mature.
I don't know the tweet I saw, and now I'm thinking, did I see a Cardano Yoda tweet?
And I wrote it down, thinking that that was. I just, I mean, I, I'm, I don't have any.
There's actually, I think there was like six other KOLs that used that same screenshot
that originated from Cardano Yoda that got spread around really quick. Okay. And so, all right.
Somebody grab a link. Anybody want to share the link? I could search, but I'm, you know.
We're already learning new things here today, people. You know, AI also deemed it likely human,
which I don't quite understand what they mean by that. I made a funny post about it yesterday,
and I made an AI picture of me taking off my clown mask because I thought
we were called likely mature originally. And then, and then I started reading
all the community notes and realized I don't think we are mature yet. So I don't know. Yeah.
Spentron, can you tell us anything about the Fedwire ISO two zero zero twenty two migration?
Absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Okay, so on July 14th, Fedwire, which is
the Federal Reserve network, they're now enabling seamless global payments
and interoperability with blockchains. And Cardano is one of the few ISO compliant networks,
alongside XRP, XLM, and a few others, which was going around as this is basically
like us getting added to like government Facebook, you know.
But now I'm just second guessing everything I've written down here for the for the epoch.
But I believe that that did happen. I think Cardano is is going to be much more integrated,
is what we're seeing. I mean, I guess that's the point of the story. But I mean,
Fedwire is like the biggest. That's that's the Federal Reserve's means of Transferring money.
I mean, right? It's it's like, does it get any bigger than that? No, and it's really important too
that like these group of investors don't really care about the crypto crypto teams that
everyone plays, like ETH team, Bitcoin Maxi. You know, the institutions they want to take part
of all the ones that are going to be winners, and they look at it at a way different eye. So,
you know, Cardano is set up to be like, oh yeah, this is a blockchain that's mimicked. Bitcoin
and is better than Ethereum, so yeah, it does seem like you know a good investment.
They're not going to look at it through like, oh, I have Ethereum bags,
so therefore Cardano is going to hurt my bags, so I must cut it. You know,
that's not the the group of people that, or at least I don't think. Anyways, we'll see. Yeah,
Spencer, I'm like, I hope to God you're you're right. I hope they're
likely mature enough to also do that and not play into the the crypto narratives we experience.
Well, they all these people all just buy indexes, right? Like all these like super elites,
they're like, dude, I don't care what goes up or down. Like I fucking own everything.
Like it doesn't matter. I own all the winners and all the losers, and we just want less losers.
I mean, they'll want they'll want to own it before the ETFs go live, so that they get um
below everybody else. That's an obvious like buy in point for them. You're right, Mister Obvious.
Who are these people we speak of? We're talking about people with very large amounts of
like invests capital that can be invested into different markets and different things
at any given time, right? Yeah, you can go. So, there are banks. You can go back in time
and find like Jamie Dimon and being like, "Oh, Bitcoin's a Ponzi scheme; it's going to go to zero.
" And then at the same time, his he's the CEO of J of Chase Bank, and they're buying Bitcoin.
You know, and then you can go back and do the same thing with the BlackRock CEO,
and then he was buying it while he was saying he, you know, it's a scam
because they wanted to buy it below everybody, and now, you know. Pretty sure they've done that
with precious metals and stuff too. Like pretty much everything, they like they fud it
while they're accumulating quietly. I do the same thing at the dessert bar. Like
if there's something really good at the dessert bar, I'll tell everybody it's top. You're like, oh,
did that lime jello made me sick? Yeah, it's horrible. Never want to eat lime jello again
because of that experience. Yeah, don't. Yeah. They're like, you have a plate of lime jello.
Every time. Lime jello? That sounds not good to be honest. Lime jello. What about lime potato chips?
You know, like Lay's. I know what limon means. You can't bring your Spanish potato chips up here.
Let's keep cruising through these stories, guys. I jotted down a lot of things here,
and and this is in the number go up vein, which we're not going to dwell on.
But can someone who is a degenerate please explain what Cardano achieving
the first ever weekly golden cross means? I know it's good, but what what is what does that mean?
So I'll try. I'm not exactly sure, but it's like when the fifty week and the twenty week
moving averages. When the twenty-week moving average, twenty-week moving
average crosses the fifty-week moving average, that is a very bullish signal.
And in the entire history of Cardano, it's never had enough weeks to have that golden cross.
And they have like the death cross, which we did have. Cardano has had a death cross,
and that's when we had our bear market. So that sounds scary. So hopefully, this is the reverse.
Yeah, I think it's called the death cross. Yeah, I think it's the fifty-week
and the two hundred-week, right? Maybe that's it. Maybe that's the two hundred
and the fifty versus the twenty and fifty. It's one of those. I can't. I can't remember. Yeah, yeah.
And I'm not Catholic, but I agree. Yeah, so I mean that's just another number go up story,
kind of titillating, if you will. It might send some goose pimples down your arm,
but let's all just remember, right? One ADA is one ADA. One Lovelace is one Lovelace.
One ADA is one million Lovelaces. And regardless of how many dollars or hard-boiled eggs
or any other item someone will exchange for it, it will always be one ADA. Thank you. Yeah,
but if Ethereum breaks all time highs and goes to like ten thousand, Cardano could see ten dollars,
and then one ADA is also ten dollars, and that you know that's you got to take that
into consideration. No, you can consider it, but let's not evaluate the utility potential
or all these other. I'll sell my governance token for ten dollars. Well,
this is you know what this is also kind of a number go up story. If I could just throw this
out there, it looks like Coinbase ADA. It's a it's a wrapped ADA on Coinbase.
Had record volumes over this last epoch as well, so people are fiddling with with ADA on platforms
and exchanges, and I mean, I wouldn't really, I don't see much to love about Coinbase ADA,
but at the same time, some people that's going to be their first exposure to this whole shindig.
It's like the regular role. It's like the red-headed ugly stepsister ADA. Not true. Not really.
It's like a Frankenstein clone, Ada, or not even. It's it's like a really nice, well done clone,
like a like a pro, top shelf clone. Nothing inherently bad, you know. It's just whatever.
If you're doing, if you're moving stuff around on Coinbase, I just let's talk about it. Ah, I I am.
Um, you know, you can convert it to. USDC and then put it to dollars and and and put it right
into your your bank account. So that's how. Doesn't move them. The only use case is just to hold it
on to hold a store of value of ADA on Good Coinbase. You can't use anything with it,
or can you actually transact like with like NFTs with your CB ADA? That's good. Good question. Yeah,
I would imagine it's for some type of trading utility within Coinbase, right? Yeah,
and and honestly, they beat Gemini. Before they listed even ADA, we now have like a Coinbase ADA.
So, I mean, I guess that's good. Oh yeah, we like accessibility for people. Sadly,
if you have your ADA on Coinbase, you don't get any of this sweet, sweet midnight airdrop. Whoops.
Oh no. Or any voting. Like, bro, like, look at everything you're missing out.
You can change the world. It's true, everybody. Welcome, everyone, to Epochs Epochsend 570.
We've talked so far about Crypto Week here in the U.S. It's been all over your timelines.
I'm sure you're completely sick of hearing about it, but we're talking about it,
and we're talking number go up. We're talking Coinbase ADA having record volumes,
and there's a lot more to get into here. Everybody's welcome to speak, by the way. Just request,
we'll get you in. Everything's on the table. Only rule: got to speak to each other with respect,
and we're talking all things Cardano. That's a pretty wide net, so feel free to request
if you want to jump in. Yep, do you have something for us, Quasar? Not specifically at this moment.
I would love to just repeat what you said and encourage everybody, you know, to come up
and say hello. There will be an NFT given to first-time speakers, and I don't know
if Anson has spoken, but we would love to hear from USDA crew. Oh, we've heard from them before,
but yeah, no promises on the NFT today. But we would like you know what I'm going to be mostly wrong
today. Just looking up Fedwire here because I think this was kind of a slept-on story. Yeah,
Fedwire, Federal Reserve Financial Services, Fedwire Funds Service. Yeah. So I mean,
some people are saying this is like a the the Fed quietly integrating some blockchain stuff.
Let me get you some more deets on that. We have Anzins joining us as a speaker. Happy Epochs end.
Yes, sir. It's a big one. Welcome. Thanks for having us. Hey Quasar, thank you. Sorry,
we haven't engaged yet. I'm William, the community manager, growth, social media, marketing,
whatever. That's a pleasure. Yeah, we got our we got a big treasury withdrawal proposal out there,
so making the rounds, trying to bring awareness to what we're doing. Would love for you guys
to check it out. I'll share it in the share it in the jumbo. Yeah. Yeah, the jumbotron.
And I have a question about that, if I may, real quick, Van. I want to,
but so I understand that we have Treasury withdrawal proposals out there right now,
meaning DREPS will vote to approve the withdrawal. I assume, correct? Which, which
that I'm also going to assume that they've already voted and approved the proposals themselves.
Well, okay, so they were voted on, but it was just a temperature check. So basically, on Ecclesia,
they hosted a round of votes, and if it received 50% or more, then it was pushed forward
to another vote, where the reps decided. Then, do we want to create an omnibus
and approve all these at once, or do we want to, you know, set up a structure where we vote on some
or all of them individually? And ultimately, what happened was the reps decided
that they were going to vote on every single proposal individually. So that's what this vote is.
They were approved in a sense that they passed the temperature check, but if they do not pass
this round, that's technically denied. So it's very important for projects and DREP,
also DREP participation right now, that they get this approved,
or otherwise they won't see funding whatsoever. Thank, thank you so much. I've got
more follow-up questions on that. Sure. Interesting. Yeah, I'm not an expert. I've been like,
I've had to claw my way to find information myself. I'll do the best I can, though, of course.
I always wonder, like, what I think. I think I know the answer, but like, a lot of the proposals,
I believe, were put in at a fifty cent ADA, and now that it's eighty cent ADA, I believe.
Those greedy bastards. Well, it's not like they just do what they can.
It's not like they knew they they were trying to probably conservative. They knew, but but now it's
eighty cents, and now they're like, okay, well, now we were conservative.
We get to take our nice little little extra off the top, the cream, you know. Like,
thank you very much. Going into that, you know, bull market, and I think that's kind of the case.
And that's you know, I don't know. I'm not sure that it's the best use of funds. It's not,
and the fact that we as a community haven't come together and had a professional,
respectful conversation about you know that is is concerning to to me when I was you know
two years younger. Yeah, maybe in the future they'll do it where it's a monetary value,
and then however many ADA satisfy that value is what gets distributed. I'm sure they could.
I'm sure they could create a smart contract for this of some kind. It's definitely a good point,
and a lot of team. You know, this is something that people who've raised money. From ICOs
and IDOs have you know dealt with for a long time is the fluctuation of the currency,
and that's why a lot of projects will, as soon as they get their funding,
they will immediately sell it for USDT or whatever stablecoin they're gonna
you know plan to use just to combat that volatility because sometimes it works against you as well.
So in this case, it's working for you, but sometimes it'll actually work against you as well.
So there's no perfect system, but I I definitely agree with you. There's it's probably something
that should people should take a look at. Is this William talking? Yes. Nice to hear your voice.
Hey, thank you. Real, real quick, guys. If I may, we're gonna pull up the screen here. Who was that?
I'm sorry. Oh, it's Pyro, man. Hey, Pyro. Okay, sorry, I didn't have the the interface pulled up.
Yes, nice to hear your voice too. Yes, it's wonderful to hear. Yeah, I'm gonna see you guys
at Evo too. I'm super excited. Yeah, I'm. I assume you're going to Rare Evo with the with the
with Chantoo and and all that. Yeah, it's just me and Chantoo. Super cool, awesome. It's good.
It's good to see you guys really and like in person, especially you, William.
I feel like you're giving the voice to ends, and that it really needed. Thank you. Yeah,
I really appreciate that feedback. It's been um, it's been a lot of fun. Honestly,
I feel like I found uh, I don't want to say niche, but I worked at Euroli for a while,
and it was very stagnant, and obviously the reputation too. So um, I feel like a new breath of life
in the niche, you know. I'm super excited about it. I feel like I'm able to offer more value.
Your your microphone is pretty bad, Anson. I mean, we can hear you, but it's it's pretty pretty bad.
How about now? It's kind of muffled. Let me check and make sure I found the mic. That's nice.
That's crispy. We should definitely find time. We should definitely find time to have our teams
talk. I think that'd be pretty cool. Yeah, I'm definitely down. Roki left a comment. Thank you,
Roki, saying, "As I understand it, the Fedwire ISO standard simply means Cardano can meet
the requirements for messaging between financial institutions. Cardano isn't officially a part
of the conglomerate, if I got that correct. Open to being corrected, of course.
We are the conglomerate. Pyro, what's up, buddy? Happy Epoch's end. How's your crypto week going,
dude? Goddamn, it's getting so busy. I just got. I just. I'm. I'm making a lot more of like content
for our our next trace to scan to trace. By the way, Epoch. It's not. We're going with
scan to trace, not uh, not taste the trace or taste trace it. So taste it so good, it's traced
or something. Paul Myra, taste it. I still think the simple punchiness is better.
But what what are you? What are you doing right now, Myra? You playing some games
or what's going on? No, I was doing some community work earlier on in Discord,
and now I'm just just chilling. I beat Expedition Thirty Three like last night. I mean,
I completed it 100, and now I'm doing New Game Plus. And what is Expedition Thirty Three?
What is that? Oh, it's like a Double A game. It's about like a, it's like a French apocalypse kind
of thing, but like dimensiony esque, like multiple multi-world kind of weird. It's good though.
It's really good. It's a turn-based It's a turn-based modern, a modern turn-based game,
and with like dodge and parry mechanics. Okay. It's good. It's good. How about you?
How was your epoch? Epoch was wonderful, sir. Five seventy. Just, just trying to keep my finger
on the pulse here. There's so much information flying at us all the time. It's,
it's hard to keep up sometimes, but. It's a fun, I don't even fun gig.
I like this crazy with this the the new crypto laws and that just got signed in,
and of course it's extremely bullish for for the crypto industry, but you know I feel
so like I don't know man I don't trust institutions you know like it is what it is
but I'm like you mfers are one bad day away from a cbdc solution, and where are we gonna be at that
like you know it's you know a mix privatized federal government coin you know Caesar coin.
It's funny seeing them all release stablecoins now. Oh yeah, just spend
the last six years like talking crap. They did on purpose. I mean, like even three years ago,
Deutsche Bank was gonna go with Ethereum, and the only reason why I know that was because Matt Plumb
and was in talks with them. You know, but like they weren't they weren't looking at UTXO chains.
That's for sure. They wanted they wanted to go where there was already liquidity, until like
Bank of America now, Deutsche Bank, you name it. They're all ready to just turn it on.
I readed something recently that I found super fascinating. I didn't get a chance to double check
the actual credibility of the source, but I assume it's partly true anyway.
That the wealthy elite own eighty, roughly, or eighty or ninety percent, maybe even higher,
of the stock market, and they only own one percent or less of Bitcoin and the crypto market.
Actually, they just said Bitcoin. The wider crypto market is probably like point one percent.
And so, what do you think is going to happen when they realize they need to be into crypto too?
And that's what's happening now. They're starting to realize. There's a lot of companies
that are now holding part of their part of their assets in Bitcoin, Ethereum. You know,
in these ETFs, they're a part of their portfolio, and that's only been increasing more and more. So,
you know, oddly enough, we're still early. It's pretty. It's pretty exciting. I mean,
was the past like? Four years or so, like them positioning into this as well,
because like they were making it bleed hard, you know, like it's it's it's a it was a lot
of sell-offs. I think Trump has half of his net worth in crypto, so I don't.
I think that they're going to continue to push this forward for at least the next three years.
Let's let's go to Quasar. He has his hand up. Go ahead, sir. I just wanted to make sure
that you have the Cardano passing four trillion. Not Cardano, the whole coin crypto market cap
passing four trillion. As an announcement, but maybe that would be on next week's announcement.
Well, it's it's big news. We're talking epochs here, but um, yeah, next epochs announcements. Uh,
I mean, it's it's part of a trend here, Quasar. Number go up, right? We're distilling it down
to its most basic elements. Number go up, and always in all things, number go up. And uh, but yeah,
no, you're right. That that that would be part of that, that title, that title shift for sure.
Four trillion dollars of crypto floating around the world. Is that right, Quasar? That is nuts.
Four trillion with a T. We had CK Cardano with us here five days ago. He he heavily dove into
the T flow, as he was referring to it last epoch. And shout out to CK Cardano for talking about
T flow. You know, I I apologize if I've already shared this, but that that book,
The Intelligent Investor. One of the things the author says is that big time institutions
and and you know professionals in the investing world with longevity. He was like,
and maybe this you know this is from the seventies, but he goes. You're not even looking at
companies or assets or anything unless it has a 10-year track record of financial data that
you can look at. And if it doesn't have 10 years worth of financials and information that
you can dissect, it's not even if it has five years, it's still a speculative investment
at that point. You're not truly investing; you're speculating. Even though you know,
if that's you know, just going with your eyes wide open about that, but it's kind of ironic
that you know, 2013 to 2023 would have been that 10-year gap for crypto, right? So we're basically
a year and a half into What the you know I forget his name, but the author of
the Intelligent Intelligent Investor would call, really the first period where these big types
of institutional firms would, by his logic, be able to really look at some data
and start jumping in. And you know it's like, they basically yeah they let us all fight amongst
ourselves for ten years. They let us all, you know, fork the chains and do this and that
and the other and run scams and everything under the sun. And now they have a ten-year data set
to start really picking, you know, where. The Queen of England is gonna park her money in crypto.
You know, it's like it's a whole different, you know, rule book that these people are playing by.
I mean, there's still, I don't know about that. I don't know. What do you think?
That's just a theory. Yeah, I'm not saying that's a fact. No, I mean, there's, I mean,
there's still chains that are coming out. I feel like there's gonna be a lot of privatized chains.
That a lot of these companies, like Microsoft or whatever, will probably just create
their own private chain. But like the public chain narrative that Cardano has,
that the CF does really good a job at marketing. I feel like is is is you know is pretty awesome,
and I and I wish that was more of a positive force.
But a lot of companies I feel like are just gonna go private.
Well, what do you think about this for private Cardano card by a Mergo? Who's who in here?
Let's see some emojis. Do you want a Cardano card? Who wants a Cardano card from a Merga?
You know I wanted one back in two thousand and like twenty. Why not now? I'm not saying I don't.
I mean, if I can spend my USDM and a, I can spend my. If I can spend my. Oh boy.
Let me let me just give this to you real quick. Emergo introduced the Cardano card, enabling
seamless spending of ADA, BTC, Solana, and USDC, and more with ADA rewards and loans on top.
It's positioned as a game changer. You like that for USDC and oh sorry for everyday crypto use,
fueling the network while rewarding holders. Registration is now open if you want a Cardano card.
I really do want a Cardano card. You know what? You back in like what got me?
I was just thinking to talk. I was literally talking about this in my Discord.
What got me holding my ADA for long periods of time was in my head. I wanted to hold my ADA
and then get a loan to pay off my car bills and just keep holding it and then slowly pay it off.
And of course, it took a long time for that to even be a thing. And I could probably do that now,
but like I just, it's like, well, you know, who uses DeFi anyways? So, and I'm just kidding, but.
That would be really cool with that card. Sour today, Pyro. Emma, a little bit.
I think I've been going at full engine for an entire week, and I feel like my brain is fried. So
if I'm being a little sour, hot tea and and slip on some slippers and just take the rest of the day
off, relax. No, no. I need I need two more days of the week,
and at least three about three more days of the weekend to get everything done. Well,
I strongly disagree. Yeah, I disagree, Pyro. All fun and no play makes Pyro a crazy boy.
A really unhappy one. Um, I wanted to say real quick with the with private chains
and and you know institutionals and the Queen, you know that whole thing.
Just in case anybody was aware or wasn't aware, um, you know her Her Majesty's Land Registry,
which is all the land that the Queen of England owns, has been on chain,
but on a private chain for a very long time. Crypto in crypto time, that is. So I mean, yeah,
you're you're you're kind of right there, Pyro. There will be private chains, but also
like you can't cap into public, you know, to tokens through the public or private chains.
So it's a little different when we're talking about chains versus cryptos. It's true. I mean,
you're right, but go on. I was gonna add the one thing that you know, kudos to Amurgo for the card.
I think I'll check it out. But I think Euro Wallet also had a credit card partnership happening,
and also Tokyo does with Mastercard. And so it's just like you know, you know, Q Amurgo coming in
and competing with our projects here, and doing like nothing else with their data.
But like Amargo's like, like oh, is this what we're doing now? We're doing credit cards. Oh,
are we doing stables? I'm kidding you, William, Jenny. Welcome to the stage. It's not a stage.
Hello. It's not a stage. Happy Epox End. Hello. Happy Epox End. I'm I'm glad I made it
for a little bit. I I've tried to make it up here the past two epochs, Sandman. No drama.
And I have vanished. No drama. Vanished. I know, but it. You probably thought that I was like
running for a reason. There's always been like something that comes out of nowhere,
like a phone call, some somebody knocking on my door, and then I don't make it back, and I'm like,
oh shoot, it's okay. Vanished. No thing that I'm running away from drama. We forgive.
That was your epoch. It was good. It's all good. Weed is is producing great consistent blocks.
By the way, anyone listening to this, if you're enjoying the space, please consider delegating to
W E E D Weed Stake Pool. There's weed in your wallet. But yeah, thank you, Jenny.
Things have been great. This has been a great epoch. I saw some pictures of you
in the French Canadian province of Quebec. I believe it is referred to as. Oh man,
you should have been there. We had a blast. And you guys were kind of.
It looked like you were amazing. A wonderful Cordono with with fun Canadian kind
of tourist attractions and stuff. All we did was have fun. Even when we did some work,
it was all fun. Yeah, it was amazing. And Mike is just, you know, Mike. He's just a wonderful host,
and it was incredible. And seeing everybody, it's always great. We did a lot of fun stuff.
It was great. I got to see new places, meet new people. I mean, when I say meet new people,
it's just I got to meet the families of a lot of the people that I, you know, are friends. You know,
that was really great. So it was really cool. It's beautiful. Busy. You love to hear it. Busy.
Like awesome, yeah. A lot of putin, a lot of putin. So how has your crypto week been, Jenny?
I know we're here to talk about our epoch, but conveniently the epoch was exactly the same
as crypto week so far. So how has yours been? Busy, you were saying. Sounds like. Yeah,
it's been busy. You know, just get back from work, and then now we have this bunch
of governance actions, so it's gonna be quite a. Quite the task. So we just had
a couple-hour meeting for the planning council to divide and conquer. How's our little plan
and how to take care of all the discovered actions? Oh my gosh! Mm-hmm. You're the person.
You're the perfect person to ask about that. I know you can't share too much,
but how did you feel this morning when you saw thirty-nine governance actions
go live simultaneously? Well, thirty-eight because they actually submitted one first,
and they realized they had a boo-boo. They submitted the M-laps first, and then they fixed it.
And then, but I'm excited because I really was worried that they were going to come too close
to rare Evo, and then you know that's just like a whole week. So at least we get
a couple weeks before we have to. Everybody has to travel, so it's going to be a lot of work.
But I'm excited about it. And and today Adam Dino just told me like, hey, you know the Evo boundary
or first treasure withdrawal is going to happen because tomorrow's treasure withdrawal comes comes
up. Right here, while we're here and during your space, so that's a milestone for the community.
A great milestone is the first time that we, together as a community, pull money out
of the treasury, which is freaking insane. So you could say this really is the the the true.
Everything has been a prelude to. Now. With Voltaire, sorry, to Voltaire, has been gestating.
We've been stirring the pot. The cauldron has been bubbling and steaming and hissing, and, I mean,
but in terms of rubber meeting the road, this was kind of what it's all about, right?
It's like we have to have. Data holders decide how this powerful treasury is going to be utilized.
Yeah, that's amazing. That's incredible. And it seems like pretty, like, you know, hard to get here.
But I think that it's going to get smoother. So, you know, I I think that we're going to look back
and be like, oh my god, remember the first treasury withdraw? What it took for us to get there,
and then next thing you know, we're going to have, you know, a smooth operation going.
So just stay the course. Wow. Yeah. And we have a hand up from Anzens. Thank you for your patience.
Go ahead, sir. Actually, Quasar had his hand up for like 25 minutes. You want to go? No, sir.
Go ahead, please. Okay. Cool. Um, I just wanted to ask, Jenny, do you guys have any plans to host
a a space or a platform that basically invites D reps to come and perhaps listen
or participate to talk about some of these governance actions, or is there a good platform?
That I can look to try to communicate with some of the D reps. I'm not sure
how to do that right now, and I'm hoping that I can, you know, engage and interact with D reps
directly. I know what you mean. I mean, we do cut our own coffee every day, but it's definitely,
you know, one crowd, right? And then, but you, if you want to reach out to the whole community,
you have to do more than that. I'll suggest you. Um, I mean, definitely show up to the
to the spaces. I think intersect is going to be hosting spaces. I believe, actually, yes. Uh, Jack,
send me something. Let me let me uh pin it up at the top real quick. Uh, there's.
Are you gonna be in the one that's being hosted by the foundation and and uh intersect coming up
on the 23rd and 11 a.m. Yeah, if you could pin it, I'll I'll try to get there. And also,
I'm gonna schedule some time on Cardano over coffee as well. It's been a little bit of a challenge
to connect with Shatnu and just to make sure that we can all be there because I want
him to participate, of course. But I plan to. I have the Calum Lee link,
and I'm going to schedule some time on COC as well. Absolutely. And then I just pinned up at the top
this this space is being hosted by the Cardano the Cardano community account, which is part of
the Cardano Foundation, in conjunction with Intersect. It's called Let's Talk Cardano Treasury,
Cardano Budget Administer, you know all that stuff. And I think that's a good opportunity
for just kind of get the ball rolling and talking about the withdrawals. And I and I talked to Jack,
and he said that they plan to do different spaces to kind of get the visibility on. On the proposal,
so you know we're here. Anything we can do, you can always ask people to help you host spaces,
right? There's a lot of amazing people here that love to run spaces. They might want to help you
and host a space for you. So just reach out to them. You know, we got Spencer
sometimes he runs spaces. Quasar himself times he runs spaces. Um, so definitely check check out
other people that you see running spaces and ask them and see if they want to host a space for you.
Appreciate that so much. Thanks for the advice. Hey Jenny, the question like, how many like,
as far as actual projects and representation, um, besides the community,
how many uh actual projects go to these d rep spaces? Because I see them all the time, but like,
you know, like as far as like a project going and and talking and and conversating,
it it almost feels like it's really hard to pinpoint the necessity of going to those spaces.
I kind of see what you mean. It's always like the the formats are different and um.
The dynamics are different, and yeah, I don't know, Pyro. That usually the people are the same.
That's why I was telling him, just you got to move around because usually people stick around
with their own spaces and they have their own dynamics. And if you don't move around
different spaces, then it's like you just miss out on a bigger picture, right? So, I mean,
I don't even make it to all those spaces myself, Pyro. I mean, sometimes you know, just the whole.
I I like to listen to different perspectives, and I find myself in the same room
with the same people all the time. So the the governance spaces or anything that's
you know intersects tends to be there. Well, no, I mean I love you guys. Of course,
this is my my home, and I love I love coming to to this space. And this is a different crowd at
Cardinal Red Coffee, right? And of course I do Cardinal Red Coffee because that's what we do.
Shout out to Hero. I don't know if you're behind that PFB or who's there, Pyro. You tell me.
But it's a show. Okay. But it's a shell. But you do gotta move. You have to move around.
You have to move around. Even spaces that you will not usually go to are probably
the most important spaces to go to. So you know you have S. Co. Does like a good radio.
Maybe go talk over there too. I don't know. Yeah, just gotta move around, find
different different crowds, different people, talk to different people, get different perspectives.
And hopefully, Epoch's End can continue to be a place where. Exactly what you're asking about.
Anzens can happen is like d reps talking about governance actions, fielding questions from projects
or delegates, or I mean, lots of interesting conversations can happen there.
I also respect why d reps might want to do that in private or however they want to handle it, right?
But if anybody does want to invite their I mean, there's d rep group things, right? There's
that d rep group that we have and and Twitter d rep forum, but it's like yeah, the d rep forum.
But I feel like the only person the host base is. Uh, in there for that, it's like Matthew,
and they're very particular. Like he has to like his agenda and the thing, right?
It's not like the community of D reps themselves hosting a space through the community account. So,
I I would like to see more of that, to be honest. More more D rep, uh, I don't know, uniting
and talking and discussing things on spaces. That would be awesome. I don't really see that.
That's that's a that's a great point. I gotta I gotta start being more intentional
about just inviting D reps occasionally. Hey, you know, if I see a tweet or you know,
you're always welcome. You know, that's that's the best way to do it. Hey,
because everybody's welcome, but D reps obviously have a big role. Just like Jenny
on the constitutional committee has a you know not a big role but a unique perspective
on the governance topic. You know that I definitely benefit from hearing.
I'm sure other people do too. Quasar, you have your hand up. You're so patient.
You're so thoughtful, and you're such a courteous space guest. Please go ahead, sir.
Thank you very very much, sir. I wanted to say, Pyro, the spaces are worth going if you make
them worth it, and and a lot of the times the host can do stuff to make it work make it worth it.
William with Ansons, I would invite you to let me know when you want to do a space,
and I'll do it for you. I'm probably going to start doing more of these spaces through
the Hard Fork Cafe account, so you'll see listed as a listener down at the bottom.
But feel like non-affiliated host. Or spaces is a better way to get you know more interaction,
you know, with Matthew doing it, with Intersect doing it. Yeah, you're going to have
a limited participation on that, and we have to find a way to get Cardano to Cardano,
and not so much Intersect to Cardano, with all due respect on that side, and we can make it happen.
Yeah, appreciate that. I'll reach out to you on my William accounts. Also,
you can host your own spaces, dude. You know, and invite us, and we'll show up,
and then you start building your own platform as well. You know. Yeah,
we're going to do that too for sure. Can I can I see a a show of emojis, please? Show of emojis.
Did you claim midnight dust in the last couple days? Do we have any wait? That's up.
I thought it was no. I thought it started two days ago. Am I smoking crack or what? I don't know,
baby. I've been I got all my dusting equipment ready. I've been dressed and everything, waiting. Yo,
I uh. I had all my Ada like a month in. Like I had a good chunk of Ada,
and I just put it in like the palm LP like one month prior to this like snapshot. So I'm like,
you know, a little, a little somewhere. I'm somewhere. You're dustless. Do you take a hit for me?
Yeah. So I was spreading fake news. Can anybody share a tweet at the top or something?
To to do we have any dates about the the glacier claiming? I thought it started two days ago.
That shows what a jerk I am. Seriously? Yeah. I mean, how many people will be talking about it?
I don't know. Yeah, that's what I saw. I would stare. I thought I, I thought I saw someone go
and just, you know, claim my knight or my dust or whatever. There is a reason why they don't.
I mean, to be honest, there's a 60 day period after the 30 day claiming period where miners can go
mine the unclaimed dust. So there is a slight incentive for people to not really let
everyone know to claim their dust because then they can go mine it for 60 days before mainnet.
Exactly. You know what? That's hilarious. Honestly, that that that like.
That something like that would even be a thing, and like we're all
such degenerate asshole motherfuckers. Hey, watch your language. Oh, yeah. Okay, we are.
Don't say degenerate around here, okay, Pyro? I was gonna say we are all motherfuckers. I'm not.
Quasar, you have your hand up, sir. Please. I have a son. Yeah, I'm not
because I'm going to continue Pyro's direction, and I'll I'll refrain from lowering my standards.
We love Quasar. He lifts us all up. How about this? Dogefi on Cardano.
We actually had a kind gentleman from the Rosenbridge team. I'm completely blanking on his name
right now. And Armenia, Armenia, is that it? Ninety percent sure. Yeah, no, yeah, that's.
I I don't think I'd ever spoken to him before, but he actually gave us the the actual announcement
in last epoch's end. But we now have a Doge, you know, sorry, Doge Cardano bridge is live,
and you can get Doge liquidity. On Cardano, I I'm looking forward to hearing from people using
this wonderful new feature. If anybody has, please let me know. I'm my cross.
You can't have my Doge. Yeah, it's. I'm not degenting quite that hard where I'm Doging out on
Rosen Bridge, but I know there's a lot of great uses too. It's not all degeneracy. So
if anybody has any firsthand experience with the Rosen Bridge, do not hesitate. You know we're using
the Rosen Bridge for going from Cardano to Finance. And I wrote a paper on it, like like a year
and a half, maybe two years ago. I don't remember, but it seemed pretty secure.
I used it once to get ERG to Cardano, and it was pretty good. Okay, cool.
And then what did you do with your ERG when it was on Cardano? I put it in MinSwap ADA ERG LP. Wow!
And then you earned MinSwap tokens by farming. Yeah, well, I earned I earned ERG ADA.
I don't know if there was MinSwap in there. I don't remember. It's still there. Huh.
You are quite the industrious young gentleman, Pyro. You could say that again. Okay,
so then I found a post I put up at the top about the midnight airdrop.
It looks like it could have started on the July sixteenth, but I think it gives itself
a like two weeks extra for both of the glacier airdrop and the scavenger hunt to take place.
So I don't think there's been an official announcement for the claim yet,
but I know there's a ninety-day period that they have to hit. It looks like before
October twenty-ninth for the full white paper or midnight paper to be. You know, factual.
So I think they have to. The claim should be going live in the next two weeks for them to hit
this timeline that I'm reading here in that post. He just saved his reputation.
He's not smoking crack, people. He took it from this post. It makes sense now.
I may be smoking crack, but on this one, I don't know about that. I'm smoking too much pot.
You have a air fryer. No, we shouldn't joke about crack. Put crack in the air fryer. It's good. No,
it's good in the air fryer. Relieve some of the bad stuff. Oh, air fryer crack.
I don't know about that. But I did pin up a couple things at the top. If you don't mind sharing.
Why am we sharing? There's one. It's an Adam Dean post calling out to Cardano artists.
The one to get your art into something fun, innovative, and unforgettable happened during Rare Evo.
This is going to be an awesome thing. I can't tell you more details about it,
but it's going to be super cool. So please share that if you can, and let your artist friends
know about it. There's an entry there. There's different ways to participate. Have them, yeah,
help the artists in the community and be in touch with this opportunity because we want
everybody to participate in rare. So. And then I also wanted to get your attention. That
the Cardano Foundation wants to know they have a little store, and they want to know in
the Cardano store, what next items they should be putting up, and they want to know if you want
tech gear, you want apparel, if you want accessories or travel gear. So it's just a few more hours
for you to vote. Check it out. What did you vote for, Jenny? Yeah. What?
Did you vote for any particular item to be in the store? What? I did. I vote for accessories
because, like we were talking about, I'm I'm all for socks. I would like some socks. Cardano socks.
Not really the best way to advertise the brand, but. Well, so you say that,
but anybody that comes to visit me, they're gonna find me in my socks and my shorts
and my comfy gear. So yes, everybody has something to say about my cute socks. So.
I voted for travel backpacks and things like that. Yeah, that's another one. Trip
and repping Cardano. You know, when I'm on my trip. I like a backpack. Would you rather a tumbler
or a backpack or what? I have a lot of like, yeah. Backpack will be nice. Yeah. That, yeah.
I'm I'm down for backpack. Something like this. Just no more bottle water bottles. Enough. Stop it.
No more T-shirts. Yeah, but how much is a how much is a backpack? Like,
should we get like Jan Sport backpacks? Like that sounds expensive merch. Pyro,
number's been going up, buddy. You're rich, okay? You're asking the wrong questions. Yeah.
Quality stuff. I got a popper from high school. I sound like a brokey dude. It's a Cardano backpack.
Of course, it's going to be expensive. Brada, brada, brada. I'm brokey for sure. No, I'm kidding.
I got rejected for the Cardano card by Amigo. I said, "Can I get the Cardano card?" They said,
"Your credit's in the toilet." You got Amex fucking breathing down down your neck,
and you're trying to get a Cardano card. I was like, "Okay, sorry, sorry for wasting your time.
" Is it really? You should post that up top. No, I'm kidding. I didn't apply for the Cardano card.
There's no applying yet. All you can do is sign up for you to get more information and available.
You're pre-approved for the Cardano card. What's that Cardano card email?
We have so many questions about that. Who's going to issue that? They're not a big I'm
so many questions. So many questions. I think it's visa. Oh, that's funny. I don't know.
I didn't say anything in there. I I know this is kind of old news, but there were
some really snazzy photos taken of uh Frederick Gregard, I believe is his name, the CEO of
Cardano Foundation, and it was uh posted on X. It was related to the um uh the venture hub,
the Cardano Foundation venture hub. And I know I'm gonna sound like a gossipy little biatch,
but I couldn't help but notice these two wonderfully photogenic men—the CEO of CF
and the CEO of Iagon—and I'm like, weird timing that the Iagon guy and Charles were just
like feuding on X, and then a week later they're doing photo shoots with CF. Anyways,
I'm I'm getting kind of weird here. Sorry, I just I don't know if anybody else saw those photos and.
Just handsome men. So it's it's it's not handsome Cardano people. Is that what we're highlighting,
handsome Cardano people? I don't know, Jenny, but I would like to say I did not see what
Ben was talking about, but I did see a picture he posted of I think is himself looking
very very um snazzy and Frederick worthy of a sit down. Who else are you?
You oh you would you like would you guys smoke weed with this guy? And I'm like no.
But I was good more than mine. I whoa whoa whoa! Like air fryer crack or nothing? That's a quack.
That's like Quasar was saying. I already responded. Yeah, yeah. Um, you can take my trash
to the curb anytime, garbage man. That that was a fun post. That was a fun post. Yeah,
that that was that was fun. I. What's funny is that in that picture I was wearing bright red.
I was wearing a bright red thong panties, and you can't. I mean, obviously you can't see it
because I'm fully clothed. But that's it's a fun thing for me when I look at that picture
because I know nobody else can see it. But I was wearing like a lace red. Thong
when those photos were taken. Is it the new? Is it the new snack thongs for men?
Like let's talk about that, guys. Thank you for bringing that up. Why are the snack
and Hosky charts almost identical if you juxtapose them from the last from all of crypto week?
Basically, I mean they're just both pumping. And then snack, I kind of get it.
I mean it makes sense. But Hosky, what is going on? It's like have people been Sniffing their farts
too much or what? Like, are people losing it? Why is Hosky pumping? Aren't you like a hockey pool,
rugby? You should. Yeah, that's why it's so offensive. Well, no, it's like you can claim the shit
free by delegating to weed, and yet you're going out and buying it. Like what? What? No,
other people. Yeah. On Coinbase. Yeah. Did you see they canceled the Colbert Report? Oh, I saw.
Yeah, they canceled the Colbert Report. Who's talking about that? Yeah, that was crazy.
Stephen Colbert. Yeah, like Alberto, Roberto. Yeah, I I painted up at the top
the the handsome weed stakepole guy, A.K.A. The guy behind the ebox and account, A.K.A. Van,
wearing a red, bright red thong underneath that attire. If his name is Yarn, by the way.
Twenty cents. I'll post me doing like a fun kind of little photo shoot in my in my red thong,
and not a day sooner. So pump my bags, guys. You want to see me in a red thong?
And and you know what, I know what you're thinking from that photo because I got a lot of hair
on my face. Um, you're probably thinking I'm really hairy, but underneath,
he shaved his whole body completely. Metro, listening like a golden apple, lordy.
What was that picture taken last time? I just saw you on camera not long ago,
and your face wasn't like that. Yeah, I um, that that's that was a couple years old. Okay. Okay.
I was just flipping through, and I was thinking, "Dang, man, I was looking kind of cute that day.
" And I hadn't seen the photos in a while, so I just. You catfishing us. I'm catfishing you.
I've lost 40 pounds. You could lift me up with your pinky finger. I'm completely pale as a ghost
and just covered in like ticks. I have hundreds of ticks all over my body. Oh my god!
Let's get a new speaker in here, guys. You don't look like that at all.
We have a we have Roki one joining us. Hello, Roki. Happy Epoch's end. Glad you made it. You there,
Roki? Roki doki. Roki one. Roki, we'll come back to you, Roki. We also have Pervert here with us.
Hello, Pervert. Happy Epoch's end. Glad you made it. It's French. It's French. It's perve.
It's far away. It's not far away. Oh, it's this guy. Yeah. Happy Epoch, buddy. How are you? Yeah,
fine. How are you? How are you doing, bro? No complaints, man. Yeah. Yeah.
Having a good crypto week. Clarity act become a bill or something like that. Oh, I mean,
it's become a law, right? We now the United States Congress has clarity, it has genius,
and it's anti-central banks. So this is a huge victory for all of America and the world,
which we have been tasked with policing and ruling over. So all three acts become law with
the Clarity Act. It still has to go through the Senate, from what I understand. So please, someone,
if there's something I'm missing here, but yeah, these all passed in the House,
which is controlled currently by the Republican Party. And now it has to go to the Senate,
which is very narrow, but I believe is controlled by the Democrats. So it's it's may not be
as simple as it seems right now. And we don't have any stablecoin in our blockchain, right?
We got a stablecoin here with us as a speaker, in fact, pervert. But there there are stablecoins.
It's just a matter of you know liquidity and things like that. But early days. That's great.
That's great. Happy ECOF and everyone. Yeah, I can see Pyro. Hey Pyro, what's up, bro?
You still on the phone? Hey, pervert! Thank you so much for joining us.
Please hang out as a speaker. We do have some hands up. Let's go to Andrew from.
He's he's a longtime Epochs End contributor. He goes by the the handle the Gold Rush,
but others know him as Andrew. Yeah. Happy Epochs End, sir. Stupid guy, Gold Rush. I know you.
Happy Epochs End, everybody. Let's be nice, guys. Welcome, sir. Glad you made it. Yeah,
pervert thinks I'm racist. It's all good. We love each other anyway. Um, I was gonna say, um,
with all this conversation. On the beach. Yeah, man, Duchess party. What's up, Dutch State Blues?
Sounds like you're having a good time. I was that juvenile playing in the background.
I think I heard Juvi. Cash Money Records. Turn it up. Hello. Who do we got here?
We we got all kinds of people joining us. Stratum Oakmont. Is that you? Is this Pyro? Is this Pyro?
Yo, what's up? I'm here. Yeah. What up, dude? You there, Stratum? What's going on?
He loses money on the palm token. He's a he's a palm bro. He's palm fam. Is that true, Stratum? Oh,
he's he looks like he's a rugger. That's okay. That's all right. Well, uh, Gold Rush,
you were kind of cut off there by the Dutch stake pool. I don't know if you want to continue what
you were saying or. Well, yeah, I guess it's a you know it's not specific to Cardano.
It's more specific to the United States. So it's uh it's probably good that he cut me off.
I was just gonna say like what do we got to do to get more crypto friendly Democrats back in office
so that we can probably like protect our country while we while we're also pro crypto.
Like what what do we got to do to like to put the checks and balances back in order in this country
without leaning on fascism? Right? Like is that something that anybody else is thinking about
lately? Yeah. Wait, without leaning on fascism. So like, can we have like Cardano U-boats or what?
I apologize. I am back. Pyro, the man with the plan. How you doing? I hope all is well
with the palm. Put it in my pocket. Put it in my palm. Okay. Um, the acronym is put it in my palm.
Anyways, um, I just want y'all to know that. Yeah. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. You already know.
Every five days, every five ways, every five plays. Shout out to the Epoch. Every seven days,
my palm itches a little bit stronger, and then every twenty-four hours, I get more power.
You know what I'm talking about? But let me tell you something. Let me tell you something.
Let me tell you something. Right? Shoutouts to the Cardano community. Shoutouts to the homies.
Shoutouts to everybody on the stage except for pervert because you're weird. Other than that,
go ahead, sir. Oh, you know, you're right. You're right. This is the internet of things,
and and I just wanted to say I love y'all. I wish nothing but the best,
and I just wanted I just want you all to know it it is all manipulated,
but you just need to find your position, find your percentage in the project that you're in,
and that's all that matters. Y'all have a nice night. See you. Let's go. Thank you for that stratum.
Thank you. Yeah, I got some vibes. Stratum. Thank you, Pom Pam. Quasar has his hand up, but pervert,
it seemed like that you were you had something you wanted to say, but if if not,
we can go to Quasar. Yeah, sorry, go ahead, Quasar. I'm I misunderstood. I totally, you know,
when the bills were announced, those clarity and genius, I told I thought y'all were trolling, um.
So I never really looked. I never looked into them. I'm like, God, you guys suck. Um, but no,
I think they're real. I'm still wondering, but yeah, that's it. I think and and Mr. Andrew. I mean,
I think without going down too deep, most of our Democrats are pretty borderline Republican already.
So I think we need to look at something outside this two-party system if you want some some changes
to it. He he's also just for context. I mean, it was basically down party lines, right?
That these bills have passed the the U.S. House of Representatives, which is like the brokey Senate,
you know. And you know, the Democrats were completely against it, Republicans were completely
for it, which is usually not a good sign. From what I understand, you know,
you want some crossover at least, but yeah, I don't, I don't know enough about the actual content
of the laws. I know everyone's, and I know that there are some pro crypto Democrats. So, like,
why would they have voted, you know, down the party line other than to just defy the man, right?
Well, these bills are just wild. Totally, you know, I'm not saying like we're quick to look at
this as bullish, but I haven't read these. Has anyone in here read these bills? I mean,
I know people have done a, I have. You have? Yeah. Okay. Well, there's three acts that are like up
for for discussion, and they're pretty interesting. They have some pretty scary shit in there too.
Well, what do you think, Jenny? As someone who has dove in deep, I mean,
what were there's some things that worry me. There's some things that you know they're like
you know they can't. First of all, you should know that there's always something bad in there. Okay,
that's just how it goes, right? You can't just have your cake and eat it too. That's just
how politics works. And when you talk about you know any bills and all these things,
and it's always something, right? You gotta give up something for something else.
And there's some things that sound promising, but that also leave room for something else.
Like for example, there's um, there's like three different ones, and they all have kind of like one
the clarity kind of like clarifies some of the roles and whatnot. And then so it's just
I'll tell you the the the two main things that worry me, maybe three, but one is the fact
that we might end up seeing like banks controlling the stablecoin situation,
just kind of like more of the same. Then I worry about self custody. Self custody is
is also something that is worrisome. With the way that that you when you read this this things,
there's self custody is always going to be a target, right? And then there's the open source
and how the protections for people, developers, putting open source tools out there
and what that means to them and the protections and and how scary it could become for them.
And stop, you know, stop the whole development and what we started to do here, right? So
if you're like me, that you're really here for something bigger than just like make a quick buck,
and you really want to see these tools make it through and and to kind of change the way
we do things and the more cypher punk mentality, then there are worrisome things in there.
But you know, you just gotta go one thing at a time and fight one battle at a time, right?
So you know, there's some other things in there. There. Oh, but you know,
not without the other ones, right? So not in a political way at all, obviously, Jenny.
But hypothetically, if you were in Congress, let's say as an independent,
would would this would you think you would have voted for these bills based on the merits,
or would you have? Well, it's hard to it's hard to tell, right? Once you're in there
and you're talking to people, and you just you know, it's it's very different, right?
When you it's kind of like when I'm in the Carolina Atlantic Council.
Sometimes I might completely have one view of what I consider it's constitutional
or not constitutional. The rest of my team disagrees, and then you know, at the end of the day.
You can concede and say, well, you know, might just be my perspective, and and go with it, you know.
So it's different when you're in there, right? So I wouldn't be able to tell,
but I probably would have fought for what I believe in, you know, as much as I could,
like I usually do. Yeah, well, that goes without saying, of course. I know that's a tough question,
kind of loaded too. Quasar and pervert. I didn't see who raised your your hand first,
but it might have been pervert. But I'll be real quick, Jenny, if you don't mind.
Which one is about the open source protections? I believe in you, Jenny,
and I believe in everybody here who is a Cardano community member. We, which one, or DM me
and let me know. I'd like a look and add to the list on on news. Chicago Portillo's
and and Lou Mazzie Pizza combined to put a hot dog deep dish pizza. So, like, honestly,
I think we've entered heaven. We got hot dogs. Quasar, I happen to be an expert on that topic.
Lou Mazzie's, by the way, Mazzie's. Lumonades. Okay, so look, that's that's Lou Monades.
It's a famous Chicago deep dish pizza place. They have combined with Portillo's, and yeah,
it's a match made in heaven. But I'm I'm just a Midwest kid that it's a lot. I hear what I hear.
Yeah. I went to Chicago and I asked the lady where's the best place or the what's
the the pizza places, and she said Lou Monades, and I heard the Illuminati's. I'm like, oh shit,
the Illuminati's are making pizza. Let's go. Let's go. We this is oh hell no. Yeah. Nah. Nah.
Y'all are wild for that. The cheese pizza is crazy. Y'all are wild. The CP crazy. Let's go to uh,
let's go to pervert here. Can can I answer like Quasar's uh questions?
He was asking before everything kind of went crazy. Uh, yeah. Well, okay.
So it's just kind of all combined, right? But when you talk about like um the clarity for like
the stable coins, right, and And to talk about the impact is kind of indirect.
When you think about it, it's not like it's directly addresses at all open source.
But what happens is when the centralized stablecoins protocols, example like things
like algorithmic models like Jet or anything like that, could be outright excluded from all of this.
You know, it made illegal or you know just out of out of it. Any open source developing developer
contributing to those experimental stablecoins or anything like that could face liabilities.
Because it violates the act. Once you have something like an act, then you're violating something.
Right now, when we're like a non, and a non, you know, we don't have any. Before, I guess,
right now we just pass some shit. So, with no regulations, it's it's a different kind of scary.
It's just like gray zone, right? Which is kind of like easier to take a risk in that sense.
But when you're when you have an act and you're violating it, then it becomes more of a liability,
and people are gonna start saying like, oh, you know what? I don't want to fuck around with that.
If it's not part of the act, if it's not here, then I just don't want to.
I I don't want to mess with that. So that's the part that I worry about,
because that's where you know they start blocking freedom. You know. Yeah, Jenny, make a good point.
Like, by the way, this act was passed about an hour and a half ago, maybe two hours ago.
The president signed it into law, the Genius Act. I'm talking about. So it is now the law
of the land. It's the law of the land as of two hours ago. So just but but yeah, Jenny,
you bring up some really good points, and the not to in no way you know to to to change anything
that you were thinking, but this second bill that is under discussion now in the Senate,
which will have to be rewritten by Governor Scott or Senator Scott and. Lumis, I think,
want to rewrite it basically from the ground up. So this thing is like a moving target.
I started reading the second one. So the stablecoin one is done. Like again,
the genius act is done as of two hours ago. It's the law of the land. So it's now past tense, right?
In terms of like any risk, it's it's real right now. So the things Jenny brought up are
very much valid. Like in terms of like if you're a developer and you're thinking about
where do I put my effort, where do I put my energy, and and possibly my money. You know,
you have to consider that as reality now, as of two hours ago. The but,
and I don't want to give you my opinion because it doesn't matter. This second thing, though,
is a much bigger bill, much much beautiful. This one that is, yeah, it's not a beautiful bill,
but it's in front of the the Senate right now. It's going to take weeks and probably months.
It was is funny. The estimate right now has moved to October. If you're hedging it all now,
the estimate by any you know sane person is that it would take even if even
if the house plays along with whatever the senate rewrites, it'll likely take
till October before that reaches the president's desk for signature. So anybody who thought
that like, and I'll I'll raise my hand and say I kind of got drawn into this feeling that.
Both bills would pass this month. That ain't happening, guys. The second one is not happening
this month. No chance, and most likely not August, and most likely not September.
So you're looking at a couple months here of waiting for this second one, if it happens at all.
And there's serious debate over whether the new the the new writing of the bill
will will pass muster with the Democrats in the House that are needed to to to pass it
and send it back to the Senate. But anyway, go ahead, Bickram. Oh no, I'm gonna skip Bickram.
How do I get midnight tokens? Is it? Fuck you, man! No, Bickram, Bickram, Bickram, you don't matter.
Shut up. Anyways, how do I get midnight? Midnight. Fuck up. You don't matter. No, Bickram,
you have not, you have not contributed a singling iota to this Cardano ecosystem,
so you can just stay on mute. So, anyways, I'm Bickram. I'm Bickram. All right. Anyways,
so midnight. What's up? What's new with that? And thank you, Karma Pool, for your insight.
I appreciate it. I actually learned something, as opposed to whatever the fuck Bickram was
about to say. The snapshot was done on the eleventh of June, and you had to have
at least one hundred dollars worth of assets in one of your supported chain wallets. Oh, Bikram!
Did you hear that? You needed to have a hundred dollars in assets, Bikram.
Do Do you even know what the fuck that is? L one tokens specifically, not not NFTs,
not not a native tokens or whatever on the on the other blockchains. It has to be the L one token.
You had to have at least one hundred dollars worth of the L one token.
I paid you a lot of meaning Ada, Andrew. Instead of calling it the L one token,
are you are you talking about Ada? Well, but it's multiple chains. There's
like eight different chains that qualify, so I didn't want to specifically say ADA.
You know what I mean? I gotcha. My bad. But you had to have the L1 token of each of the chains,
at least a hundred dollars worth. Now, if you did not, you you can still do. There are
other things you can do to qualify for the for the airdrop. And you can go read their website.
There's like three different phases to the to the glacier drop, so you can go check that out.
Exciting times! Incredible information. Yeah, go ahead, Decker. Yeah, can you keep that?
You know the sad guy. He's a scammer, bro. You know, just I want to talk. You know, clarity act.
Yeah, clarity act. I've been scared of genuine education due to your talking. So shut up. Okay.
Well, everybody's allowed to speak. Yeah, I'm good. So, you know, Stratum. I'm just saying.
You know, go ahead. Go ahead, Bitcoin. Yeah, the genius act. You know, if you read these laws,
you know, right now it's a law. So if you read the full law, yeah, you need
a regulation-friendly mechanism. In every DApp, that's what I understand. Like you dexes,
you need a regulation-friendly dexes. You know, so it is like a centralize, bro. You know,
that act is not that good for decentralization at all. And Vikram, you're talking about
the second one, the one that is not passed yet. No, the Genius Act passed. The Genius Act.
I know it did two hours ago. The Genius Act. That doesn't talk about whether something's a commodity
or a security at all. It's strictly about stablecoins. The one that just passed. Yeah.
Just so we're clear. Are we are we talking the same game here, Pickram? No,
I'm not talking about that. We're talking about the Clarity one, the Clarity.
Are you talking about the Clarity Act? That's different. That's not Clarity Act. The Clarity Act
has is different than the Genius Act in that it's going to separate the security,
let's say for example, versus the thing that is not. And then who's going to be overseeing that?
CFTC or the SEC? Yes, that's what we just. Yeah, that's what we just said.
That's the one that Karma was saying they could take months. So it could take months.
Which I could not. I could not. It's going to be October. Or it could stall. We don't know.
Or it could stall completely, Jenny. Absolutely. Or it could pass in September,
but I I tend to believe the pundit on this that it's probably going to drag out till October.
It's going to be a fall post Labor Day thing. Let's say if you're trying to time anything. So yeah,
yeah. And I do agree with Jenny. Like having to do with people need to pay attention to
how that affects decentralization and permissionless blockchains. Right now, within the Clarity Act,
which may take a while now, which really kind of sucks in that regard.
There was this mature versus non-mature blockchains, or those who were decentralized versus
non-decentralized change chains and what have you. And there was a degree of Positivities
surrounding that having to do with Cardano and BTC, and then they're talking about ETH being those
that would be that would qualify for that, right? And so, to me, it's interesting
that that's happening. Karma, do you think that so the Genius Act passing today?
I've gotten some news on it, and there's some changes that we're having to make,
like we're having to pivot a little bit on you know how it is that we're talking to our lawyers
and right, you know, what's that? What is that looking like? So, what is your take on that
having to do with fiat-backed stables that are currently in a permissionless? Blockchain. You know,
I I honestly don't have the detail on that. I I know you're super, you know,
highly attuned to that bill for obvious reasons, Blackjack, and you should be. I mean, um,
and and by the way, congratulations. I'm literally lifting a a. An IPA, seven percent IPA,
in your in your honor, in your honor, right now, because I know it means a lot, and I
and you've put in incredible work, and just like you know, for anybody, for that matter,
who's been living the life of a stablecoin developer or development staff for years,
like I should probably have started by saying, just congratulations. This is a big day.
I watched the president sign the bill. And like I literally watched it live.
I'm one of those geeks on C-SPAN. I watched it live too. And and you know, I mean,
for for what it is, I mean, it it has a lot of meaning. I just, yeah, I think for
the broader crypto ecosystem. Did you cry when you saw Trump sign it? I did not.
I cried when I there wasn't a tear. Bridge was empty and I had no more beer. But but no,
but this second one, I got to tell you, is a much bigger bill, and it's the one that if You know,
Jenny brought up some very real concerns. There's a lot of other concerns too,
and like I would just, you know, if there is a little pause in the action for two months, it's
only two months, guys. It's not the end of the world. Two months, three months,
but at the even October, right? We're right around the corner. Three months away here. Not even
two months away. So, just use this time, and I think I'm I'm saying this to myself as well.
Use this time to like study whatever they come out of the Senate with,
and they pass over to the House. The House has to debate it and then mark it up
and then send it back to the Senate. Um, and the Senate has to say, well,
I guess that kind of looks like what we sent you three weeks ago, you know, like,
or they have to say, holy shit, you guys like basically threw up on what we sent you. No, I can't,
I can't approve this. Like, you know, so if you're Loomis or you know, um,
or or or or Scott has been a big benefactor to the crypto. You got to really decide:
Are you going to rally around this or not? So, look, I can't get in the heads of these guys.
I don't, I don't know dime one about them. All I'm just saying is, like,
there are ramifications of an ever-changing bill. So, the target that we thought we were looking at
a month ago is not the target today. Just so we're clear, Loomis and Scott have decided to rewrite
the whole damn thing, and that might be good, actually. I'm not putting a value judgment on.
I'm just telling you. What if you were studying something from two weeks ago?
You can throw that out because it doesn't exist today. The Senate is rewriting it,
and and whatever they come up with is then something that, you know, Jenny, myself, many others,
are are probably going to look at and say, okay, now what are we looking at? So again,
it's a moving target. Keep your head on a swivel. Whatever assumptions you had about this bill,
throw them out the window because there are no assumptions that are valid anymore.
And like you got to kind of move with the the puck here. It's an act, you know. You know,
I can read the act. I mean, it's totally become a law right now, so I can read the law. Again,
you're talking about a different one, Bikram. Bikram, Bikram. Do you live in the U.S.?
And this is not a slight. Do you live in the U.S.? Asking you. But I can read the Genius Act. Yeah,
I'm. I wasn't talking about the Genius Act. I was. Everything I just said was not about
the Genius Act. It's about the Clarity Act, Bikram. Just so, just so you know. You know, no,
that's Bikram's point. You can read the Genius Act, and it's a law, and he's sharing with us
his perspective on the Genius Act. Yeah, go for it. I mean, that's what it's about. So,
do you think do you think blockchain project can compete with banks? It's clearly giving opportunity
for the trillions of dollar banking industry, so they can roll out their stable coins,
and they will then they will create a centralized atmosphere, and everything will be backed by
the United States Treasury and United States dollar. So like you know the market is totally
for backing the U.S. Dollar. No, so it's like bringing viewers. What you're talking about is is
the possibility of a CBDC, and actually, Trump put a if if there was any ever any anybody who hoped
there would be a CBDC, Trump just fired a massive cannon right through that idea of a CBDC.
He flat out said there will not be a CBDC in this country. Let me let me kind of help you guys out.
But if a stable coin is backed by the treasury, if a stable coin backed by the United States
dollar with the United States regulators and everything is centralized, so that means it's a CBDC,
bro. Bicrom, bicrom. It's not backed by the U.S. Treasury. He is kind of correct. So in that.
When it comes to federal regulation, so there's either a federal or state regulate,
regulate body that's going to be managing stablecoins. So if you're state regulated,
it's under a certain threshold. I believe it's 500 or 5 billion. If it's above 5 billion,
you're going to be federally regulated, and it also depends on whether or not you plan on being,
let's see, a payment provider, for example. The thing they're talking about right now,
this is lowest hanging fruit for everybody, is that they're talking about worldwide remittance.
So you think about MoneyGram and all the other companies that do this on a regular basis.
This is something that's been around since Citibank was talking about it freaking five years ago,
four years ago. So it's one of those things where they're going to go after that first,
and that's what they are really focusing on. Bickham is correct, though. He's never correct.
Fuck him. Well, no, no, no. Hold on. So anyway, so when it comes to, he's not talking about a CBDC
exactly. What he's what he's talking about is that it's going to raise the bar a little bit as far
as being compliant, as you know, being qualified as a stablecoin provider
because we're going to be ran, I believe, under the IDI, which is
a federally insured depository institution, and then you've got the OCC
that is really going to work from the federal level. So there's going to be
two different regulatory bodies going to be managing this, depending on the size of the stablecoin
and what they plan on doing. If it's just going to be in a permissionless blockchain
like we're going to be in, then it's and we're going to be a share or a store or a value,
then we're fine. If we plan on then becoming also a Payments provider where we're supplying
cross-border remittances, things of that nature. There's going to be an added application
that you're going to have to, you know, go in and do in order to be able to get that done.
And that's where Bickram's talking about as kind of them creating a bit of a regulatory wall
surrounding this particular thing, so big banks can come in and potentially take this spot
because that's where they see most of the money right now. Okay. Blockchain. Fair point. Can we,
sir, have his hand up? And I want to say something real quick. Go ahead, Jenny. Go ahead. Go ahead.
Happy epoch end, everybody. Whoa, let's go! Happy epoch. Every five is—is that what
you wanted to say, Jenny? Yeah, I wanted to say happy epoch end because we passed it
and it's been like twenty minutes and. Oh my god. We just changed. What happened? There was no bell.
We missed it. Man, just somebody shut up. Let's no, no, no. Let's let's just do a very.
This build is horrible. Let's let's do a brief moment to just breathe in this delicious epoch
five seventy one air. I don't know if you guys are getting. That inhalation
that I'm getting right now, it feels a little more crisp and a little more light now that the epoch
has changed. Maybe it's in my head, but I smell incense. Sandalwood.
And the first treasury withdrawal, guys, that's a big one. So the Amaru treasury withdrawal
has happened. Jenny, is that correct? It should be, yeah. We can somebody can check on the address.
I'm not going to do that right now, but yes. So Bolteira is alive and well.
Money should have come out, and some money should have been deposited, and yeah. Incredible!
I love when programmatic shit happens. It's so beautiful when automation
and orchestration come together, and things happen automatically. It's just beautiful, ain't it?
Automatically. Oh my god! That's what Lido says, and and and Stephanie doesn't like it.
It's so funny. Automatically. Funny. Automatically. Automatically. I like that. If yeah,
Lido speaks my language. Oh hey, I see someone down in the listeners. It's Armianno. He joined.
Yeah, don't bring the. Hey, Bickham. Did anybody ask you to speak? Alright guys,
let's just let's let's let's handle this, guys. Strago, Beckham, you guys got to agree to disagree,
or I mean, we got to have a conversation here. It can't just be insults whenever one
of the other is talking, okay? Got you. I'm sorry about that. Every five days, happy epochs. Yeah.
Happy epochs into both of you guys. Hey, I got paid. I don't know about anybody else,
but these epochs pay out if you do the right thing. If you support the network, if you uh uh uh uh,
that actually that's it. If you support the network, the the network supports you.
You know what I'm talking about, Liz? God. He's not wrong. He is not wrong. People,
happy epoch's end. We have about ten minutes left here in the space. Quasar has had his hand up for,
I mean, I guess since last epoch. So, Quasar, thank you for your patience. Go ahead, sir. Literally
since the last epoch. That's great. Two things, really. I shared a link at the top to the post
from IOG. So, Charles and Joel were invited to go and speak to those senators about this bill.
And I imagine that's probably where some of this rewriting is coming from as well.
I would like to think. And I don't know if you guys were part of the Cardano Constitution process.
I hope they do use voltage control to to write the the new bill and and let Joel take the leads
on it. That our Constitution's gloriously insert your word there. That's that's a big deal
being there, but rewriting something like this. They should just call it.
It's going to be very very complicated. Big old bill. The big old crypto bill.
Charles Hoskinson is in the belly of the beast right now, people. Yeah, he's yeah with Joel. Joel,
let's not forget about Joel. I love Joel. I love Joel. Joel's a good guy.
Two people I don't want working on doing the workshop or trying to write the bill.
I don't want you know, with all due respect. Yeah, JJ's in there as well. I'd rather. I mean, yeah,
yeah, Mr. Sider, yes sir, yes sir. Yeah, get him in the tent. Get him in the tent. Hey, fun fact:
JJ's from DC. He was born in DC, same as me. When when when Charles was in Tokyo, Charles was like,
"Where are you from?" I was like, "DC." He's like, "Oh, JJ's from there.
" And so now I know JJ know what he' doing. He's he's right at home in what he' doing.
So we'll we'll be all right. That's the least fun fact. Stratham, did you grow up? Least fun fact.
Are you a citizen Cope fan, Stratham? I don't even know what that is. All right, we'll talk later.
I he he grew up right down the street from you. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Let's fucking go.
Let's fucking go, Cardano. I like Alice Smith. Hey, Roki, you're back, buddy.
You joined us as a speaker earlier, but I think maybe you rubbed. What's going on, Roki? You there,
buddy? Roki's best in person. I hope we got these at Rare Evo. Roki one. What's going on? What's up,
buddy? Roki one one. Can you guys hear me? Yeah, now we can. Hell yeah.
Just wanted to give you guys a shout out, Quasar. What's up? Must good to hear you. See you. Yeah,
man. Jory, hard fork. Actually, I saw Jenny in we're at Rare Evo, but I was too shy to say hi,
so I didn't. What? Don't be shy. I'm a hugger. Wow. Say hi. That's great.
She's one of the most approachable people I've ever met in my life. Um. So just jump in there. Yeah,
I'm not gonna say too much, but just wanted. I haven't been on in. Haven't been on in a minute, so.
No worries, man. Just appreciated seeing everybody. Thanks for saying hi. Happy you pucks in.
And I have my own opinions about the legislation going through, but. Please share. That's yeah.
It's it's a. It's it's it's you know if anything be appreciative that. The U.S. Is,
attempting to do something about it, even though it may not look ideal. Allegedly. Right. Um.
But uh. I don't know. I think. I think. Yeah, I mean, I think. When when you're so deep into it,
like like the Cardano community. As I have been for sure, you know you you definitely see
it different than probably the general public, and certainly it's awkward to see a bunch of suits
around the president celebrating this moment when you're like, "Well, where were you guys when?
" But yeah, what are they? The same time, I guess. You know, it's just, yeah, it is awkward.
That's funny you mentioned that. Right. It's it's it's it's baby steps. I don't want to,
but I I would I wouldn't want to flood people though. Like, I think that.
It's probably just you know, like any other innovation that affects you know a broad range
of people, and this one's different because it's you know it's it's around finance
and something that's never been innovated in a hundred years, so it's going to be weird,
and it's the first time that you can be ahead of the curb, you know, before institutional adoption.
So it's very extremely rare in human history. So you know we're in a good place,
especially having you know an understanding of what's at stake. But I understand
if you're personally working on projects, you don't want them to be undone by some asshole
in a suit, you know, who wants to put his friends first or something. But at the same time,
if you've you know taken the right steps, you're even ahead of them, you know. So you know,
I don't know. I don't want to be. I'll get off the off the podium, but I want to impart some calm,
you know, versus being pissed about it or whatever. You gotta play the game, as they say.
So you know whatever that game is, you gotta play it. Hey, can I can I finish a question?
When I I had the when I was speaking a minute ago, I have one other question
about the treasury withdrawal for Amaru. Was that voted? The proposal itself voted on by D reps
and approved, and then we had to vote on approving the withdrawal. Like we're doing now,
like is the process for the Emory proposal the same thing that we're looking at
for these thirty-nine treasury withdrawals? It's the same process, but they already went through it,
so they just got all the votes and everything got passed, and now it was just about. No,
they they went through a community poll for these thirty-nine. Right,
they didn't actually get votes. What do you mean a community poll? They did.
They put a governance action for the budget, and they passed it, and then they submitted
a treasury withdrawal, but governance action, and it passed. And now they're getting their money.
For Amaru, correct. Yes. Okay, but the thirty-nine. They're at the next step.
They already got their budget passed, and now they need to get their treasury withdrawals approved.
Yeah, but that budget those were not actually voted on the way the Amaru was.
It was a it was substitute community poll. No, they did. They then they then intersect,
put all the ones they passed a poll into one big treasury budget proposal.
And that budget proposal was passed, and that's now they're sending the treasurer withdrawals. Yep.
But but okay, so we have to. Why would we approve individual withdrawals for one proposal though?
Listen, bro. Don't question Jenny. Whatever she said is the facts, bro. No, I understand that.
The Cardano community was pissed that they were going to submit one big,
one big governance action for the withdrawal. Yeah. They were already like upset about
the first one, so they said no, we don't want it like that, and we're going to say no to it.
So then they did an off-chain poll, and the community voted for individual actions,
and then they respected it, and they just that's what happened. Yeah, unfortunately,
the constitutional committee is going to have to call those unconstitutional. Then I'm afraid.
Are they going to call them unconstitutional, please? Because it doesn't say that we can run a poll
for this stuff. The Constitution says otherwise. It doesn't. What do you mean?
What are you talking about? A poll. It's an info action, and it gets past fifty-one percent
or fifty percent or whatever, and then from there. There's no specification that has to be
one withdrawal action. So it could be split in multiple. There's no specification
in the Constitution. Yeah, and the reason they split it is because there was a few poison pills
in there, from what some of the D reps were saying, and there was a couple things
within certain things they just didn't want to, they couldn't vote on in clear conscience.
Because 85% of it they could vote on, right? So they're like, nope,
you're going to need to split this up. But that's yeah, that's something else.
He's he's talking about the constitutionality of it. So I don't know where where where you're um
where you see in the constitutionality of it because you know you can pass a budget
and you don't necessarily have to request all the money that you got passed in the budget.
So you can just submit multiple different draws. I'm sorry, I see somebody with a hand up
making signs. No, super, super, Jenny, thank you. Super sidebar. The individual who said about
Citizen Cope, my apologies. Bro, lit the drummer kick. Yes, I know that song. Let the drummer kick.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Shoutouts to you, bro. You know so. Panama, karma knows, dude. Karma knows.
I've hung out in some seedy bars in D.C. By the way, I'm not going to admit that here. Wait,
I just did. But yeah, bro knows how to rock, dude. Did somebody say they knew Alice Smith? No,
I don't know Alice Smith, but I know Clarence Gatewood. Okay. Yeah. Very well. Look up Alice Smith.
I'm a descendant of Adam Smith. All right, let's go to some of these hands here.
Alice Smith is amazing. I think it was. I had I got a chance to do an interview with her. Um,
actually, during I think it was during lockdown, like when everyone had to stay, or maybe just
after lockdown started letting up. Um, but she would come to
Massachusetts relatively kind of frequently before that. She's just an outstanding talent,
and she used to date, or maybe she's still with Citizen Cope, as far as I understand. Yes,
that's how I know it is Pope. But check her out; she is a unique talent.
Her her voice is like you know, yeah, it's just alien. It's crazy, and she's very chill.
She's actually featured in some things. You can see her in the it was like an HBO. What was it?
HBO Western show with Idris Elba and all these people. Oh yeah, yeah. She she's like a featured like
what do you call it? What do you call those the the the dance is the the singing from way back.
What do you call those things? Cabaret. She has a song called Cabaret.
She didn't feature in that in that show, but she's there singing in the cabaret, whatever.
So it's very cool. That's very cool, Roki. I'm in Massachusetts. Okay, yeah, I'm in I'm in Boston,
man. I'm in Worcester. I'm just north of you. Worcester, Worcester. No, I'm joking. I'm in Japan,
but I know about Worcester. Oh man, it's always the Japan guys. Well, look who it is. It's Bikram.
Sorry, I didn't mean to take up. He's back, Bickram. What do you got for us, sir? Yeah, you see,
you know, hello, sir. Yes, just shut up. Okay, shut up. I just want to simplify things, you know.
So, you know, if you if you clearly read everything, what passed today, you know.
So that's not you know something you can enjoy and something you can say it's bad. It's a middle,
you know. So if you we not taking no Bollywood request. Shut up. Next person.
If you invest it in top ten or top twenty cryptos, it's might be good.
But if you see the issuance of the stable coins rules, and you can see it's need audit,
it need of you know the federal structure advisor approval, you know from the government authorities
to. Yo, do you have a translator on stage? What the fuck did he just say? Step the fuck out,
you motherfucker! Yeah, you need issuance authority from the U.S. Agencies. Like,
you cannot issue a travel ban by your own. Oh, we knew that was coming, right, Bikram? I mean,
we we knew some level of regulation was going to be part of this. Yeah,
every year you need to do audit. They're fucking stable funds, and that's millions of dollars. Well,
you should have to. Bikram, Bikram. Every ETF, every every money market account on earth for
fifty years have has required required an audit every single year. I mean,
that's that's a consumer protection thing. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean, you know,
I. You know, all the people don't have that money to run their business like this. Oh,
then they shouldn't start a stable coin. I mean, come on. Yeah. We're not talking about like you
and I trading. Like we're talking about somebody who says, "I want to build a currency
and deliver the currency to the planet Earth." Yeah. I mean, you should have to go through.
How is this good for the right? You know, how I mean, come on. Come on, DeFi. You know,
it can clearly eliminate ninety percent DeFi, bro. You can see this. Oh, I don't.
Ninety percent DeFi is scam, bro. Wouldn't you agree? Can we go to like Marina Kiwi? Yeah,
some money. Maureen will save us. Maureen will save us. People have this strange and oddistress.
Next, we we appreciate your perspective, Vikram. If anybody has a response to that, please go ahead.
We we do have a hand up from from Maureen. If if you'd like to join us, Maureen, happy epoch end.
It was just clear for a while, but Maureen too. Happy epoch end, guys. Um,
I just wanted to say that I am not interested in American politics, and I hate all of you people.
Damn it! But I miss John. Yeah, it's like that. But Jenny, I've missed you so much. Miss you too.
How's um? How's your journey? It's going great. It's I'm learning so much. I'm cooking, guys.
Cooking what? Come on, don't ask me that. It's rude. Better cook. I want to know what's on the menu
if you're cooking. Yeah, I want to know the crew. In a different sense, cooking.
Something I've been thinking about since last epoch's end was how karma, so kind and.
Loving asked me if we could get a beer. I can't tell when who is speaking. I just hear the voices.
The voice for you. It's all in your head, bro. Ibok, can you continue the story?
I want Jenny to know what happened. You turned down Karma, and he's heartbroken,
and you know he's crashing out. He's crashing out in my yeah. Karma's like, hey,
let's get a beer sometime when I'm in California, and I said, yeah, okay, Karma. By the way,
Maureen, if you ever want to come to California, we could do this, this, and this,
and you know it was it was rude to Karma, and I. I didn't mean it that way, Karma.
It would it would be an honor and a pleasure to have now. Hey, Epochs, how long
how long have you been doing? I have I, I have spent the last five days just with no sleep at all
because Van did not validate my existence, and I I felt so sad. I was I was crying,
and and and it was very hard. Have you ever seen a human adult male in the fetal position?
I was in the fetal position for days over this. Did you see his pose? So, Van,
thank you for bringing this up. I feel better. I feel cleansed, and I feel I felt cleansed
when I joined the room. But now I really feel cleansed, like almost like you
and I are sharing a cucumber water, and we're at the spa, and you're in a very handsome robe.
And I'm in a nice robe as well, and I look nice. Whoa, whoa, this is getting weird, dude. Whoa.
Parma, what is weird about that? What's weird about two wearing robes and strolling around
with kicking about water, dude? I don't know, man. Dude, dude, dude, I don't know. Parma,
what is it with your connections? It just sounds so nice. Like it has been forever
since I heard you, like so nice. Does it set? Oh, Jenny, thank you. It's his privilege. So.
It's my white privilege. I literally kicked a Comcast guy in the nuts,
and then I held a gun to his head and said, "Would you please?" This isn't being recorded, is it?
Oh, it is. No, I didn't really hold a live. There was no live ammunition,
but I held a squirt gun to the to the Comcast guy's head and said, "Thou shalt fix my intertubes,
" and he did, and he did. He did a miraculous job, and and and I have to hand it to him.
I now own his dog. He sold me his dog, and and we made beautiful man love. Dog, bro.
You should go for traveling. This is not a legislative issue. It's really not.
It's just my Comcast guy came to my rescue. I Comcast is an internet service provider,
and we traded. It was like it was old school. It was like it was um it was like the barter system.
Like he traded me my dog, and I traded him my eternal devotion. And it was just it was
it was beautiful. It was beautiful man love. Can we say "Haven't Kiwi"? I just,
I just need you to listen back to that phrase. I held my squirt gun to his head. I'm sorry, man,
but Kiwi, it's been too long, man. You know me too well. I, I just couldn't be on a recorded space
saying I was holding a live firearm against anyone. You thought that was a little better, Karl.
What, what do you call it? Stand your ground. Stand your ground. Stand your Stand your ground
over your internet. I have another. I have a grievance, guys. Karma, you are not the only one
who was hurt last week. Tell me about your grievance. Yeah, you are not the only one. You were hurt.
Yeah, I was. Oh, now, now I'm not going to sleep at all. Ah, it wasn't you. It was Van. So, Jenny,
you were not here. Van is the source of all. I know, I know. You were not here,
but Van practically told me he would give me a side hug if I offered him a full hug. Side hug.
He did say that, Maureen. Yeah, we were all there. He did. He did actually say that.
I'm not even sure what that means. What is wrong with you? Why would you not give Maureen her
her proper hug? Because we're just a platonic friendship, and you give. Are you a best friend?
And you and Charles and are platonic. Got it. Yeah. You gave Charles a full body hug. I saw you.
I saw. I smell the sea. Maureen, the people want us to go on a wonderful to to embrace on
a wonderful tour of the the Hearst Castle in Central California. Yes. Then have a nice steak dinner.
I don't know if you're vegan or vegetarian or what, but nice glass of red wine.
It's what the it's what the Ada holders want. I think it's time we come together as a community
to make this a reality. And a full, full hug. That's right. The hug has to be there, Jenny.
Thank you. Let's do it. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of people around town love you. You know what?
He's Maureen. They don't call him an effer. They call him a mother hugger. Yeah. So Maureen,
don't let him fool you with this side hug bullshit. He wants to give you a full embrace, like.
Legit, like full embrace. He just he respects you too much to assume that that's what
you would like in return. That's exactly right. I I respect women so much
that I completely stay away from them. Yeah, that's right. So much so that when they come for
a full hug, oh, sorry, can't do it. Well, what if you? What if you're okay? Let's.
I don't even know if I'll come for a full hug, guys. Am I meet them and be like, oh my god,
you're scary, dude? And then just give him an awkward bomb. Jenny, what's going on
with your internet? Yeah, you need to threaten your Comcast guy. Yeah,
I need to take care of your Comcast guy. Yeah, that'd be a good service.
You could just threaten people's internet service provider technicians. Yes. I'm good at that.
You are a little muddled. She's hiding from someone. She goes. He sounds like she might be under
her bed. Yeah. Going, you know, this might be. I need help. This might be Jenny's cry for help.
Yeah, I might not know. Stop joking around for a second and listen to me, guys. We don't know.
Jenny blinked twice. Blink twice if you're okay. Blink twice. Ah, Jenny might be in trouble.
The Comcast guy is in her house. Right, selling her M and M's or something. Like,
there's something wrong here. Isn't the voltage control people? Tell me. All right, guys. I gotta.
I don't think you can sell M and M. That's considered slavery. I gotta. I gotta wrap up the space.
But Kiwi, you've been here with us as a speaker for a while now. Please, uh,
give us something we can all just a little piece of wisdom or something we can take away with us
into the next five days here on Cardano. Please, if you don't mind, sir. Man, I I got nothing.
I came up here to say something serious, but that was thrown out the window like five minutes ago.
So have fun, y'all. No, go go ahead, Kiwi. Give us a closing thought. Come on, buddy. I mean,
I I got nothing except for enjoy the pumps and and let's hope we see some green for a while to come
because everybody's attitudes are a lot happier at the moment. It's good to fucking see. Yeah.
You know he gave me a. Yeah. Everybody's happy because they're all trying to dump on you. Van,
do you have to work tonight? Ah yes, sir, I do. I'll be in the Fiat mines tonight. Oh my god. Dude,
you know if I could work for you right now, I would go work and let you continue this awesome space.
You know what's beautiful about this though, Karma, is I can tell you with ninety.
You're going to give me a man hug. No, I I don't even really want to guarantee a physical hug
with you, Karma. Because, no, no, yeah, I mean, it's just still you. You just showed up
for the first time last epoch, right? You you were gone for like six months, nine months.
You show up, you start talking about trips and hugs, and it's like it's a bit much, a bit fast. Oh,
yeah, because I am a very sensitive person. But you guys, we have a we have an epoch end
on Wednesday coming up. And we have Cardano governance live right now. It's happening. No more.
If only we had this. It's like it's happening now. It's go time. So just stay dialed in,
stay plugged in, and stay engaged. Lots of homework for us to all do. If you want to stay up to date
on all these governance actions and all the voting and all these things, bunch of hands going up,
guys. Let's just do kind of a quick, concise closing thoughts for the space.
I didn't see whose hand went up first. I'm sorry. Yeah, I just want to close. You know, Saturn for.
Okay. Well, who's next? I'll just. Can you hear me better now? Yeah. Can you hear me? Yes, Jenny.
Yes, I changed my providers because I have more than one. I excellent. Yes,
so thank you for letting me know. I just want to say, I guess CK got his account back,
so he doesn't have to use that sketchy account. So oh, that sketchy thing was yeah,
that didn't work. So I'm glad that you got that stuff back. I just want to say thank you, Van,
for always hosting the spaces. It's it's just wonderful to be able to come together as a family
and just you know just reflect and. And send the good vibes, and I'll see you again in five days.
And Karma, so nice to have you back. You're in Cortano for coffee too. I missed you, man.
So it's been great, Maureen. Oh, thank you, Jenny. Well, see you guys soon. We're here. Thank you,
Jenny. Who's next, guys? Let me jump in real quick. It'll be quick, quick, quick, quick, quick.
Shout outs to the shout outs. Shoutouts to Ada. Shoutouts to my bags. Shoutouts to Palm. Hi Palm,
how you doing? I see you. Shoutouts to Hosky and shoutouts to Starch. But shoutouts
to the Cardano community, all those that are here today, because you could be anywhere else
in the world, but you are here with us. So shoutouts to y'all. Shoutouts to Epochs in
for your resilience for just continuing the five day ethos. And bro, Aura Bora's is a real thing.
Okay, let me tell you something. It's not just because Ada is is. Is the the key driver
in this ecosystem. It is a it is a part of this ecosystem, but we are those that drive the driver.
We are we are the chauffeur chauffeur, okay. But I'm getting way too deep into it.
But let me tell you something. Shout out to everybody on the stage except for an individual that
I care not to name right now. But shout out to y'all. Why are you talking? Anyways, y'all have
a nice day, and we'll we'll see you on the next epoch. Bye. Thank you, sir.
Thank you for that. We we have I think two more hands up. Who's next?
Yep, all right. I'll fire off. I just wanted to say, like, yep, awesome, awesome thing,
like part of the epic, and every time. And for anyone who's gamers in here, don't forget,
Cornucopia's just did a massive update, and it's actually starting to get fun.
So there's shit to do, there's things to see, and people to kill. So enjoy. Like,
I seriously reckon anyone with a half decent PC should give it a go and see what you reckon. I'm,
I'm enjoying it. Thank you for that, sir. And happy Epoch's end, everybody.
We have Rokey with his hand up. Thank you for your patience, Roki one eleven. Good to know, Kiwi.
I just wanted to say, you know, shout out to everybody. Actually, I've been off crypto Twitter
for a healthy spell, and I will be getting my feet fully submerged over the next, I guess,
interim period. So I'm going to be making connections as I had before, where I was, you know,
trying to make the live events, etc. And it's you know it's interesting
and very cool to see how Cardano community has grown continuously as I went about lifing
and then returning back and you see people new personalities strong personalities
but it'll be it'll be fun to to get back into the mix of things but yeah everybody have
a great evening and Friday and cheers congratulations to. Everyone, on I think it's progress
in some form. The signing today, and then what's coming in the next few months. So, stay positive.
And diamond hands, adamantine hands. Actually, we should make an adamantine hands NFT.
That's what we need in Cardano. All right. Peace, everyone. Make it so beautiful, Roki.
Thank you for the positive vibes. Happy Epoch Sensor. Bakram, I'm gonna give you 30 seconds,
my friend, and then I gotta end the space. But go ahead, say something nice for 571. Yes, sir.
So Cardano is the best. I'm on board. Let the man speak. Yeah, I just think you know, guys,
be patient. You know, you need to check everything. The laws, you know,
just invest in infrastructure, not coins. You know, infrastructure is the goldmine here,
not the coins. Don't buy stupid coin like Storj, Quantum Key, and the other other tokens that
the Satam guy promoted. You know, be away from that. Mostly these are scams. Every five days. Yeah,
every five days, guys. Thank you, everyone who joined us as a speaker today.
Everybody who listened in. We'll be back on Wednesday. Everybody is eligible to be a speaker.
This is not a stage. It's just a conversation, and we have lots to talk about.
Lots of governance to talk about. Very sexy, sultry. Governance, Van, you had me at governance,
but I'll work on my hugs and. Now we'll do it, Karma. It'll be fun, man.
I would love to share a beer with you, Karma. That would be a true honor. It would be joyous.
We could even go. We could even go see. Maybe we could see a film. We could. I mean,
any whatever you'd like to do. Yeah. Whoa, whatever. You could rent a hotel room with a joint.
Careful, careful, Devon. Karma seems shady. Hotel room. I I just want. It's a sleepover.
Nothing weird. Just watch old movies and okay. Got to go, guys. Have a great EPO.
We'll be back on Wednesday, guys. I love you, guys. Bye for now. Love you. Love you too, guys. Bye.
