to learn about stuff like that and you know guys i'm i'm somnia network whale right now and there are so many games and
paul is also the ceo is amazing talking about the future of gaming and i think it's 100 the future
like you don't want to educate players how to set up their wallets and where to save their keys
because they're not going to do it right they want to they want to have fun games and they want to
see the benefits in owning the assets right i i believe there's going to be there's going to be another uh sort
of players that really enjoy and that's me i really enjoy to have my metamask i really enjoy
to do all this dj and shit but i believe most of them they they don't want to do it they just want
to play the game so uh it's going to be great talk today about web 3 gaming because i think that will onboard so many so many new people into into web 3 and uh it will be it will

And, you know, I believe in his vision.
And, you know, it's like, hey, we'd love to do what I can to help kind of contribute to this.
You know, I've been in the gaming space for a while.

I'm not going to drop names because they're, you know,
not more so docs, but like behind the scenes people.

Just from running community previously with the game,

and um again this was this was one thing i really like seeked out right was very happy kind of doing
my thing but um again if they i would have been the janitor if it meant to to have part in releasing
and releasing a fifa game because again i was day one for ultimate team, right? My intro to web three
gaming goes back to these initial experiences that I had as a gamer. The first time as a young
lad, you know, a young lad in the parents' basement playing this new game mode where,
you know, if you wanted to talk with people, you have to go onto the message boards and the forums
and there wasn't even trade functionalities in these games yet.

It was just a concept.
But, oh, you can go ahead and buy a gift card here
and get some packs for the game.
I love that.
The whole team management, being the general manager,
building a squad, playing the games, playing with those things.

It was just a revolution when it comes to the gaming aspect.
And then next year's FIFA would come out and it's like,
okay, start all over again.
And that stung, right?
And that feeling kind of sat with me as a gamer,
just as a gamer throughout the life too,
until like, okay, the concept of blockchain gaming
and being able to actually own your assets
as opposed to
you know people want to own their stuff buy sell and trade with that stuff and not just in that
enclosed ecosystem right so it's it's a it's a big step bringing power back from 100 to to the studio
to you know giving players that element of of ownership in the games that they're playing so
it just it all kind of
lines up. And the fact that it's with the exact same IP makes me, you know, made me that much
more excited because, uh, it's just, it's a full circle of my experience as a gamer and my experience
being interested in blockchain gaming. Again, not everything's going to moon, right? It's just,
that's just not possible in any economy, but things have value. There's scarcity.
And as long as the game is good and people are playing the game, those things will have value
with those times in the game. So just a very exciting part. Very exciting part.
Man, we learned maybe hard way that whatever incentives you have for the game, like it has to be fun.
Otherwise,
you know,
it dry out at some point and,
and,
you know,
it's over.
So I believe that the game has to be fun.
And also it's absolutely crazy to look back and see how long has been FIFA
games around,

say man FIFA 90 98 bro yeah I think so I on my Pantium computer for me it was 1998 for you it was

You had to buy a new computer always when you wanted to play a new FIFA.
But it was wild.
I remember it was also with NHL, I think 2001 and also FIFA.
One of these years were so break, it was just
insane, you saw like the 3D
graphics of it and you thought like
wow, this looks like reality
and now you compare it to
what's happening right now
and when you see the games
you can't tell the difference dude

It's, uh, the graphics are, the graphics are wild these days, just in video games in general
and how far we've come since, you know, plugging in that.
I know for me, that wasn't the N64, but the, the, the era.

getting ready to be able to be day one on a fifa game an official fifa game that's just there's not
going to be a new one that comes out where it makes you it makes you reset where you have to
start completely all over you're going to be able to collect and build your squad and it's just

look back i got you know i've been playing pokemon go right since 2016 the week after it came out
because the first week i was of course too cool too cool to play you know i was like i'm not giving
into this and ended up playing the game for pushing 10 years now but that's that's neither
here nor without and i can go back and I can look,
okay, I, I collected this blast toys in 2016, just kind of cool, just kind of fun little
memories too. So to be able to start this and start this journey from day one with everyone
else and people are going to be able to, again, also, if you haven't, I will get to it. We'll
get to this too. This is the excitement coming for sure um for sure bro man being able to start day one go pre-register on the app store i did i did so i think i also there was
something in the app store that you could like uh also pre-register there and uh i don't know if
if it like gives you a notification that you can download it but i wanted to add one more thing
about gaming man and i believe that people will be you know
will game or play games more and more than they do right now because maybe it's going to be a
little bit different than we are used to I think GTA 6 will be amazing example of that and I hope
other side also that we will go to interact with each other into virtual worlds and experience stuff
together and i think like mini games or games like fifa rivals can be also part of that right
that you can you can flex your score you can flex your um achievements or whatever you you did there
and i'm i'm really bullish on these games man especially on the on the phone i think the phone
is uh you know,
it's, everyone has it, everyone plays little games, like for two, three, five minutes games,
right, when you're waiting for something. So it's really cool. It's really cool. But maybe it's
Quidditch. Could you share a bit about what actually FIFA Rivals is? What is the gameplay
about and when it's launching?

You've got to be able to...
There's some gameplay out there.

there's a whole marketplace there's the whole mythical mythical marketplace where you're going
to be able to buy sell and trade these items as well and it's just going to be fun man you're
going to be able to again use these items in the game um you know whether it's working the market
building the best team collecting players from your favorite team,
there's going to be so many different ways
to enjoy FIFA Rivals.
And again, it's the only officially licensed FIFA game
that we're coming out here too,
in blockchain, in Web3.
And again, a lot of people,
a lot of these FIFA fans,
they're not even going to know
that there's a blockchain base behind it, right?
They're going to get the marketing.
They're going to see it in the app store they're going to download it they're
going to be able to play and do all these things um without even knowing with the possibility to
get them on board as well too so again first and foremost this is a this is a mobile game right
this is a a mobile game being launched and the web 3 element makes it even more super exciting for me and kind of like just
an awesome full circle as my you know journey as a gamer i i think this is the best right that you
basically have players outside of web three and there is a chance of onboarding them or not
but you know they'll play the game and you can see it on the Laudio campaign, right?
Like there are not that many people in Web3, right?
And if you want to have a game that has millions of downloads,
you're not going to achieve that in Web3.
So I think this is going to be also very interesting to see with other side
because we need to get out of Web3 and bring more people from outside
to actually play it, experience it, have fun there.
It might take time, who knows, right, with other side,
but we need 100% players outside, and this is great, right?
You just search for FIFA in your app store, you download it,
you can play, you don't need anything else.
So what is the gameplay about?
Is it like multiplayer?
Is it like play to earn?
I don't know.
Are there any elements like that?
I mean, you'll be able to earn assets, right?
You'll be able to earn assets in the game,
which again, you can therefore go ahead
and buy, sell and trade those on the marketplace, right?
So there's going to be competitions.
Expect some sweaty competitions to win some dope players um expect to be able to rip some packs right expect a lot of goodness being able to upgrade upgrade your players and then you
know the competitions you're playing against others and you're playing against a field as well
so i don't want to i don't want to spoil too much of the gameplay, but it's, it's going to be action-packed.
It's going to be action-packed. And again, there's skill involved, which is very exciting too. So,
you know, the more you're going to want to get those better players, you're going to kind of
progress. Um, and there's different levels of players as well. So the mythicals, those are the top dogs, right?
Those are the ones that you're going to want to collect.
Those are going to be the most powerful ones and the most rare players in the game.
And especially from NFL rivals, you can only get those by winning, right?
Those are, they're not available in packs, right?
You got to win them by winning competitions.
So those are the sweatiest battles at least when
it comes to nfl rivals those have always been the best right so in nfl rivals there's a hundred of
them of the mythical for each of for each program so pretty rare um i'm not i don't know anything
when it comes to the the numbers for fifa but i expect something i expect something similar
so those are the biggest ones too and those are the ones who uh you know that players the numbers for FIFA, but I expect something similar.
So those are the biggest ones too.
And those are the ones that players really want to collect
if they want to really get to the top
of the leaderboards of this game.

on what actually play mythical is doing
or mythical games because

they had such a huge success with
NFL rivals and many other

and it's absolutely crazy how many games they onboarded.

And I forgot to ask you, what kind of blockchain you actually utilize for FIFA Rivals?
Oh, yeah.
So we talked about kind of an intro to it.
So go, Mythical is a game studio, right?
It is a legit game studio with some of the most experienced devs
out there it's operates so again the currency is myth mythos which is run on polka dot right so
powered by myth secured by polka dot right so it's a great it's a great partnership there it's been
fun to see the the polka dot yappers really start to stumble upon fifa rivals and get even more excited about the launch but
yeah man it's uh polka dots got great tech right obviously it had nothing to do with the decision
on how on anything going on there uh and when i joined that was already locked in but it was
it was a cool partnership to see and once i kind of like opened the eyes and checked out what was going on there, it was, uh, it was pretty cool. It's
built to scale. And, um, you know, with IP such as FIFA and NFL, it totally makes sense. So again,
the marketplace, the mythical Martha marketplace, you can use these with, you know, with myth. And
also it makes it really easy. I've gone times too,
if I don't have the myth and I'm going to buy an item for NFL rivals, I can just use Apple pay,
right? It detects what they've been able to do and, you know, things are changing,
you know, used to be the law. You weren't able to direct people to your marketplace. So the,
just the studs over there had it set up where it kind of like there was an in-game
marketplace that mirrored the actual marketplace, but it wasn't the exact same thing too.
And now with, you know, the whole Fortnite epic thing, again, not a lawyer in no way,
in no way am I a lawyer.
So take everything with a grain of salt, but my interpretation with things going on, you
know, it's definitely opened some doors to be able to kind of like share more towards the marketplace where it hasn't really been the case beforehand too.
So as a gamer, just some really, really exciting stuff.

So they can basically say any number they want

ecosystem is very small uh it's it's such an echo chamber and we know that it's very limited.
But you could see with all the collabs happening, F1 being one of them,
you need to get to the masses.
And I think this is the right way because you need to find different touch points
with different audiences, gaming being one,
mass sports being other culture for sure.

either to the BAYC or MAYC,
or there are so many different communities,
people who kind of consider or feel themselves
as being part of the whole BAYC ecosystem
