by your lonesome?
It's fine.
It's fine.
These fucking guys.
So what's up, man?
You getting your first drop going?
five days, five hours, seven minutes,
and ten seconds.
Nice. Nice. Good shit.
I should probably pin that to the top.
We'll post it in the comments
because the pins at the top
you don't get to see on the replays.
So definitely always
put it in the comments too.
How would I do that?
So the little chat bubble, bottom right?
Click that and then click the little
bubble again and it's like
creating a tweet, but it's creating a tweet
that's attached to your space.
I'm doing it.
if you can't figure it out,
I'll do it.
I think I did it.
Let's see.
Good shit, man.
I just wish I had some PR people,
I'm listening to everyone's music.
why is this space recorded?
Are they all just recorded now?
it's funny.
I don't know if they defaulted that.
I think you must have,
you must have tapped it
or maybe they defaulted it.
now I can't talk shit.
you can just delete the space after
and just share the link
at a different point.
But it's always recorded.
Twitter always reminds me about that.
Twitter reminds me,
space is recorded.
it can't be deleted.
It's forever.
it can be deleted.
Someone else is here.
Dear little Alexandra.
I don't know.
I invited you to speak.
You're free to come up if you,
if you want.
Are you just stopping by
or do you want me to,
give you co-host stuff or?
I was just,
I was just hopping into Chill House.
how long are you trying to run for?
if it's a success,
then I will go,
as long as it is necessary to go.
the key with these is you got to go and,
post a link in all your group chats
and all that stuff.
And usually,
they're all not active.
I know I'm hindering myself when I do this,
not genuine.
I don't look at group chats for that reason.
I feel like people just do that so many times
where just nobody,
nobody looks at the fucking group chat anymore.
Because it's just,
it's just filled with links.
check this out,
vote for me.
All that shit.
that's where the key is to post them
and the ones where people post the space links.
I join a lot of spaces
because of people posting their links.
I guess I'm just,
an asshole.
but the other,
the other thing is make sure you,
make sure you reach out to people
and let them know ahead of,
ahead of the spaces too.
Cause usually.
this is very last second.
I see that.
I just said,
I was trying,
I did like test spaces.
I tried so hard
to see how I could
use my Apollo
where I have a live mixing table
where I can EQ my vocals,
add compression
and add reverb,
all that shit
and try to put it in the Twitter space.
I don't know for whatever reason,
even though my Apollo,
my Apollo,
what is it?
My Apollo console
is the only audio input
and output
on my computer
for whatever reason.
It doesn't,
when I go into Twitter space,
it does not want to use it.
It uses something else
that I can't even see.
Interesting.
You're doing this
through your computer
or through your phone?
Right now I'm using my phone
because for whatever reason,
that I'm still paying off
is not as good
as my phone.
it's funny that way.
what's it called?
the little iRig thing.
it's still,
there's just nothing
that works as good
iPhone on wide spectrum
next to a good speaker.
I don't get it.
I don't know why it,
I think it was because,
I really think it's because
I updated my computer
because I see an icon
on the top now
whenever I join a space,
which wasn't the fact before.
it gives you the microphone thing
of voice isolation,
voice standard.
apparently my computer
doesn't even have
a wide spectrum anymore.
So I think it's for,
whatever you're using,
it's using the,
what is it called?
I didn't know that the
computers ever had
wide spectrum.
I didn't think that was
an option.
it has voice isolation
apparently.
that's just a,
that's just a mic thing.
So I don't,
I don't think the computers
ever had that.
I think there's a couple
of ways people do it.
Some people use a,
so like a virtual,
like a virtual desktop
basically,
where they,
where they download Twitter
to that and then,
and then run the space
And then usually
you can use your DAW
to use your mic
and whatever other
setup you got.
but then I did hear
from some people
I had originally
gotten a Rodecaster Pro
and I was all hyped
because that's what
everybody said
was going to work
and then it wouldn't
work with my phone
and so I sent it
back and then
it turns out
that it would
have worked
with a computer.
What's up,
I mean like
direct audio
in on Twitter
a pain in the ass
for musicians.
I just don't
understand
why you can't
it's complicated
but I'm also
sure people
who understand
how to do it
it's just a couple
lines of fucking
you should be
able to link
your Apollo
to a Twitter space
just like how
it default links
to your DAW.
I don't know,
I don't have those
I'm not one of those,
I'm not one of those
It's not fair.
I already tried
routing so much,
I routed every,
I think I did
every combination
of routing.
I think it's
because I have
the Apollo solo
and I need more
than one virtual
I don't know.
It's still stupid
but I wanted
I would have loved
to be able
live performances
on a Twitter
with my voice
I have the,
the background
playing in the
along with my
not playing in
a speaker.
I guess I can't
have that.
Capabilities
aren't quite there.
definitely,
I think it is,
just someone
has just turned
some switches on.
Elon is sitting
on a gold mine
with Twitter
focusing on
subscriptions.
I'm sorry,
I'm mad now.
you're good.
why don't you,
I don't know,
maybe you're
waiting to,
I've heard this
I'm stoked that
this is what
you're going to
drop on sound.
I think it's
professional
sounding song.
It's what I'm
most proud of
right now,
even though,
song-wise,
who the fuck
is calling
Kyle Brown?
one second.
Good afternoon,
I'm speaking with
this is Michelle
calling from
in the office.
You're speaking
we can hear
your call,
you should
mute yourself.
Welcome to
Mana's pop-up
If anybody
wants to come
up and chat,
just hit that
request button.
Otherwise,
I'm just going
to be the guy
I just stumbled
upon the room.
Mana didn't
tell anybody
that we were
having a space.
just wanted
to come in
some support.
Retweet the
I have a puppy
with an ear
infection,
and I'm having
four teeth
this is rough.
It's going
to be rough.
at least the
four teeth
shouldn't be
It's going
procedure,
bing-bang,
they'll all
seemed like
no big deal.
infection on the
dog is worrying
because it's like,
now I've got to
get into a vet,
What's up,
talking to
listening,
It doesn't
have to be
testing all
of the stuff,
I tested it
on my phone,
tested it on
so underwhelmed
Twitter spaces.
Don't worry,
that's all
just how it
can you hear
What's up?
I felt like I
handicapped
I was trying
to respond,
I couldn't,
respond with
handicapped.
handicapped.
infection on
remedy it,
That sucked,
this is me
Twitter space,
rather than
someone else's.
break from
slamming my
head at my
That's just
not going to
make music,
conversation
spaces and
DAW through
their software,
and then that
software streams
what's going
on in your
for example.
And we don't
capability on
Twitter spaces
because of
many reasons.
It's actually
because Twitter
operating on
even close
to Twitch.
technically is
supported by
or I guess
streaming.
live stream
yourself on
connect your
and then you
exactly what
like exactly
capability
in Twitter
spaces because
because of
like multiple
do instead
this is the
audience that's
talk to you,
have to do
what I used
either like a
Discord call,
FaceTime call
would just
be a matter
of getting
those people
streaming it
I understand
why it's not
feasible on
Twitter spaces
because there
extreme delay
single speaker,
impossible to
conversation.
it might get
to that level,
but I think
it would have,
they would have
to integrate
they would
integrate OBS
other streaming
software into
Twitter spaces
which would
almost require
it to be a
video streaming
So I think
that's why
they're approaching
it like the
way that they're
doing it and
kind of like
leaning towards
the video side
of things because
that would allow
for much higher
quality streams
to take place
completely
bypass all
everything on
even spoke.
I've heard
people use
processing on
Twitter spaces.
sound great?
because the
bit rate is
we're basically
talking on
like a flip
I was trying
to basically
change the,
basically the,
the signal
Twitter space.
It's absolutely
I've heard
just a matter
it's a matter
of figuring
some people
little mini
mixer that
your phone
plugs into
compatible
with Twitter
I'm aware.
I will let
sounds like
it's still
sound like
shit because
it's coming
I wouldn't
want to get
not getting
my Apollo.
not getting
anything else.
hypothetically,
if they make
it so that
way we can
run Twitter
that would
change the
game because
hopefully they
would have some
integration with
it's mainly
the fact that
this is like a
phone thing
that we're all
You can do
But again,
it's because
crisp audio
on Omegle.
It's because
it's a video
streaming platform
whereas this
They're not
that's the
reason why
they're going
prioritizing
with audio
there's only
basically what
Twitch has
partnered with
various softwares.
You can use
pretty much
all of them
on Twitch.
They're all
compatible.
And that's
how people
are getting
video quality
also audio
quality on
top of that.
like there's
least like
like someone
would need
something.
not arguing
If it sounds
I'm just like
mad in general.
No, I know.
It's shitty.
Yeah, I do
find it funny
strictly audio
which should
probably specialize
and get the
best quality
considering the
only thing
You should
be able to
change that.
have to get
change the
that's why.
Because like
you can stream
your computer,
you go into
to the menu
you go into
creator studio
and it pops
up a separate
browser and
that's where you
would connect
your OBS or
whatever software
I don't know
how to use
OBS is not
difficult.
learning curve,
but it's not
difficult.
I know it looks
self-explanatory,
but I just
for whatever
reason can't
fucking use it.
okay, so like
and actually
I just commented
this and I
was literally
going to say
It wouldn't
even be worth
it for them
to do what
it is that
we're hoping
for because
of the bit
the compression.
Like compression
So like and
you know this
because you do
mixing and
mastering and
stuff like
there's no
they can't
change the
cell phone
like the way
phones are
phones only
have so much
capability when
it comes to
audio in the
first place
and then when
live streaming
compression and
the bit rate
gets even worse
it's decent.
That's why when
you listen to a
song on your
It sounds like
you're going
through a bit
crusher right
Does it really?
It might be
because my
phone's fine.
It sounds like
it's like 24
just a general
It sounded fine
on my end.
I get you.
No, I just
mean like in
I just mean
Yeah, it's like
not like you're
actually like
crushing your
the bit rate
but it just
sounds like I
lowered it.
It is what
I mean, they
might I think
things will
change in the
video side of
X but I don't
think it'll
change in the
audio side
because it's
it's not a
priority to
live streaming
is going to
more money.
Yeah, and I
music through
the speaker
when I was
playing on my
phone when I
was listening
another on
my computer
made that my
speaker and
sounds muddy.
problems with
audiophile on
Twitter spaces
because like
dude, I've
heard everybody
people will
get I know
I think Fondue
has an iRig.
I know somebody
that has the
Roland ring.
I know, you
know, various
people have
invested in
different ways
It's never
ever going to
sound the way
that we all
want it to
sound because
we're musicians
and we want
it to sound
clear and we
bottom end.
audio capabilities
cell phones
themselves don't
bottom end to
begin with.
compress it
audio sharing
never going
way that we
want it to
unfortunate.
good thing is
most people
listening to
our spaces
musicians and
audiophiles and
know, they
Like they're
not hearing,
they're not
listening for the
stuff that we're
listening for
because we're,
producing the
played all those
played some
then when I
hear people
hear all like
stuff in the
background.
after I listened
to it just
now, like what
the fuck were
they talking
They didn't
they did not
background vocals.
They did not
hear that left
and right shit
added on there.
I mean, it's
part of the
reason why people
are mixing their
songs these days
to be more
phone compatible.
Like when I
was working
Oh yeah, I
wish I could
way I wanted
actually have
to make it
sound shittier.
Yeah, that's
the thing.
Like I was
working with a
mixing and
mastering engineer
and he gave
different mixes
different masters
and he was
like this one
in particular
know, going
better on a
cell phone.
This one's
going to sound
better on like
speakers because
a matter of
capabilities of
the speakers
that we're
listening through.
I don't think
it's hurt you
from sharing
your music though.
I think...
You're cutting out
I don't know
if it's my...
If it's because
No, she just
went into the sea
for a second.
It's classic.
I know I don't
have the best
internet in the
world, so I
don't know if
this is like
lobby shit
She might have
just lost her
Well, Bucky's
still here.
Well, yeah.
Bucky could be...
He could be on
But this is a
very normal
occurrence for
See, she's
Feel free to
talk, Bucky.
That's Dakota.
I think he's in
the room with
I think he's
just in here
for your support.
Well, thank you.
He's not...
Can you guys
hear me now?
Yeah, we can.
Yeah, he's in
the other room.
I don't know
how much of
what I said
you heard.
I understood
everything.
But, like, the
last thing I was
saying there,
when you guys
sounded like a
robot, I don't
think it should
deter you from
sharing your
music in spaces.
I think that
it's really
beneficial.
So, no matter
what it sounds
like, I think
you should still
Just sucks.
Yeah, I agree.
Or, like, why
Like, now you
can play music,
I could play
music, but it's
YouTube creator
DAW music,
some non-copyright
free shit.
Do you mean,
like, the intro
So, the reason
that sounds
decent is because
it's, like,
integrated.
Like, it's
integrated into
It'd be cool.
What would be
cool is similar
to, uh, TikTok,
how, you know
how, like, when
you release a
song and then
you can search
Yeah, you can
choose a sound.
Yeah, you can
choose a sound.
That would be
really cool.
That would
probably be the
solution, but
that would mean
that it's only
for released
Yeah, that
would be really
I'll take that.
I'll start a
Let's just, uh,
make our own
Let's call it
And have, uh,
and have good
Twitter spaces.
Yeah, I never
really thought
about that.
That would be a
really cool
integration.
It's, like, you
go to, like, a
search bar at the
bottom and search
for your song
that's been
released and you
can play it and
it's good.
Yeah, I mean,
rug radio would
Yeah, that'd be
Yeah, I just
never thought that
my, my, my, my,
my condenser mic
would sound
shittier than my
fucking cell phone.
Yeah, your phone,
like, it's, it
can't handle it.
Your condenser mic
is, it just
sounds muddier.
Yeah, because it
has more bottom
end, whereas your
cell phone is
picking up the
higher frequencies
which come through
in Twitter spaces
pretty decently.
I even managed to
have it EQ'd, like,
I could do, like,
I EQ'd it, I
managed how to do
that, right, but it
still doesn't sound
good, so it still
sounds like shit.
Yeah, I was gonna
say, you could
probably scoop the
bottom end, but then
it's, it's, again, it
comes down to the fact
that it's happening,
like, in real time,
and Twitter spaces is
just not gonna, it's
not gonna pick that
The bit rate is
But that's another
reason, if they
integrated that, wait
one second, what?
I was putting away
groceries, this is how
much I care, guys, I
was putting away
groceries, dropped
everything, hopped into
the space, and I
left the fridge open.
Dakota walks in, he's
like, you just walked
away with the fridge
open, half the
groceries are put
Twitter spaces are
important, Dakota,
all right?
Like, this is our
Oh, my God, this
I do have to say
that when I came
back, like, it's
been kind of, like,
difficult when I'm,
like, trying to make
music again.
I don't know what's
going on, but I feel
like my creativity just
kind of, like, got,
like, shot in the back
of the head.
Wait, what about
getting shot in the
back of the head,
Creativity?
Because your thing
didn't work?
No, no, no.
It's just, like, now
that I'm back and
trying to, like, make
music again, like, I
guess I'm just, like,
insanely rusty again
or whatever.
But, like, I'm trying
to think of melodies,
trying to, like, rap or
whatever, you know,
whatever it might be.
And it's just not
Well, often, often if
you try to put pressure
on trying to make
something, you're going
to struggle.
Whereas, like, you
just got to, like, go
with it when you, when
it hits you and the
rest of the time.
I'm trying not to
stress about it anymore
because every single
song that I have put
out, it's been, like,
it's always from having
nothing for two or
three weeks and then
out of nowhere I will
make a song in an hour.
Yeah, exactly.
So, no, don't, don't
Here's the whole key is
during the times when
you can't, you don't
really have anything
creative coming out
out, you got to, you
just got to find other
ways to use the time
that still, you know,
still points you in the
right direction.
Yeah, that's why I'm
Yeah, if you're ever
going through, like,
this is just a personal
thing, but if I'm ever
going through a phase
where I'm stuck with
writing or I feel like,
meh, just don't feel
like writing anything or
nothing's coming to me,
I always try and
prioritize, like, maybe
like, practice is one
thing that I think that
a lot of people just
don't prioritize because
they're so caught up in,
like, creation, which
Like, we should be
creating, but practicing
is also important.
And I used to catch
myself just not
practicing anymore, so
that's what I kind of do
when I'm not in a
writing mood.
I mean, for me, getting
ready to do cover shows
again, I'm having to
remind myself, like, oh,
shit, you haven't played
a lot of these songs in a
You shouldn't do that for
the first time on stage.
I feel you.
That's the Mellow
Dakota said that's the
Mellow Classic.
I'm notorious for just
last minute being like,
hey, I should play this
song, like, on the
spot, on stage.
And I haven't played it
in months, sometimes
even years.
I get in my...
Because, like, the
perfect example of what
happens is you look at a
song that I played and
was prepared with, which
was P-I-M-P, for
Heart Basel, and I just
drew a blank on the
first verse.
Oh, my God.
Yeah, I...
Because I saw you call
me over and be like,
yo, like, how does this
And, like, I know the
I don't know the lyrics.
So I was like, man, make
Well, and what's really
funny is what I ended up
doing is I ended up
remembering the third
verse right away.
So I went straight to the
third verse.
Then I remembered the
second one.
And so I went third,
second, and then just
chorus out.
I didn't remember the
first verse until we had
already left the venue.
And, like, driving home,
I go, oh, my God.
Shorty, she in the club.
She dancing for dollars.
She got a thing for that
Gucci, that Fendi, that
I was like, oh, my God.
I'm like, why am I
remembering it now?
So, yeah, that's...
At least with cover shows,
I'm going to have my, like,
tablet and all the lyrics.
So that's really the only
place where I ever get
really hung up is just,
like, remembering all the
I mean, when you're doing
50 songs in a night,
40 songs in a night,
it's like, yeah,
you're going to forget
some things.
I need my, when I do,
like, my three-hour or
four-hour, I hate doing
four-hour shows, but if I
do three hours or four
hours, I, you could bet
your ass I have my tablet
on its little stand thing
that attaches to my mic
I told the guys that are
kind of helping me start
getting booked and stuff in
the valleys here, I was
like, yeah, don't, if they
want four hours, don't even
I was like, three is my
That's it.
I've done enough four-hour
shows in my life to last my
entire lifetime.
I got no interest in them.
And then I followed it up
with the caveat that I
said, but, you know, if they
want to pay me a grand for
the four-hour show, like,
okay, like, I'll do that.
But otherwise, they just
always want to pay less.
You know, they're like,
oh, we'll just add an
And I was like, no, no,
we will not, we will not
Yeah, I agree.
I charge more for four-hour
shows always.
I'm just like, it's not,
it's not because, I don't
know, yeah, it is because I
hate doing it.
Well, no, I mean, if you
think about it, I mean,
it's, when you don't think
about it, an hour is
nothing, but when you do
think about it, if you
were to compare it to a
plank, right, you do a
one-minute plank, that's,
you know, it's a minute.
But if you were to add
another minute, say you're
doing a three-minute plank
and you add another minute,
some people can't do that.
Or if you were to add
another five minutes.
Yeah, when performing, I
mean, it is.
Or it's like, okay, you're
going to do a workout and
you usually do six reps of
this workout and they want
you to do another one, but
you're capped out at six.
It's going to be really
hard to get that other one
No, I'm fucked up.
Fuck them four-hour shows,
That's like, they don't get
the value out of you
By the fourth hour, you're
Like, it's, you know,
that's not, I think.
Yeah, it's true.
And I always find, like, I
end up spending four hours
at the venue anyway,
sometimes five, because I'm
going to spend an hour, you
know, a half an hour on
the front end, um, like
setting up, talking to
people, getting ready for
the show, and I'm going to
spend a half an hour at the
end, sometimes even an hour
at the end, talking to
people at the show that are
like, hey, oh my God,
what's your, what's your
artist name?
Can I get you on Spotify?
Like, that kind of stuff.
So it's like, I end up
spending that amount of time
there anyway, and I, it's,
it's just a lot.
It ends up, if you play a
four-hour show, it ends up
being, like, five, six
hours, so, it's a lot.
I'm going to be a good
host and say, uh,
everybody, uh, like and
retweet the space.
Yeah, I mean, you might as
well get your reps in,
You know, you gotta, gotta
get them reps in.
Oh, damn, I didn't even,
even I didn't retweet the
I thought I retweeted it.
I thought I did, too.
I'm such an asshole.
That's why I'm being a good,
that's why I'm being a good
space host.
Dakota did, but he's not
I was going to say, Dakota
was the only Dakota, and
man, we're the only ones.
We're such, such fucks.
You fucking assholes.
I should, I should knock
I'm sorry.
I'm going to take an
edible, and then I'll be
Would that help you not
leave the fridge open?
Oh, shut up.
I did that for you.
I wanted to, I wanted to
What's funny, though, is
Mella acts like she
couldn't have had her
phone next to her at the
No, I, no, like, I
literally can't.
I lose, I, it's like a
concrete box over there.
I lose signal.
You guys won't hear me at
Like, I literally can't.
It's so bad.
So, um, I am, yeah, we're
working on moving.
Um, that's our goal for
2024, is we're going to
move somewhere where we
can actually.
I want to move.
If you need a roommate, I'm
a, I'm a, I'm a clean
I'm a clean person.
At least that's what I
care about.
I mean, that's, yeah,
that's, that's an important
Honestly, that's, that's
deal breaker for me.
And I, I'd rather just
someone be a dickhead, but
at least, uh, the kitchen
doesn't look like it's
straight out of hell.
I used to live, I've
lived in like very shitty
situations.
Um, the first one was
she, this girl I lived
with was just horrible,
like horrible.
I ended up buying a mini
fridge and putting it in
my room because I
couldn't, I couldn't leave
my food in the fridge
because she would leave
food in the fridge for so
long that it went so bad
that it would turn my food
bad instantly.
So I don't know if you
guys know this, but did
you know that watermelon
eventually turns black?
Did you know that?
Cause I didn't, I had no
It's fucking insane.
Um, and she would, oh,
it was the worst guys.
She would use every dish
in the house, including
mine and just stack them.
We didn't have a
dishwasher, so she would
just stack them in the
sink and not even leave
them off to the side.
So I couldn't even wash my
stuff because the sink was
just full of dishes.
I hate that.
I hate that so much.
I hate that.
But it was to the point
that I would go in, like,
I'd be like, hey, fuck,
she's not going to do the
I'll just do them.
I'll do them all.
I don't give a fuck anymore.
So I'd be like two in the
morning and I'd be up doing
And then at the bottom of
the sink would be just a
bunch of broken glass
because she would just stack
everything so high that it
would break the bottom
It's terrible.
OK, well, I'm not that
I'll see you that story,
All right.
I'll see you that story.
And I'll raise you a dog
with long white hair that
is allowed to be on every
piece of furniture in the
And five seconds after I
clean every hair off of the
couch, she comes in and
happily lets the dog up
Is that your dog?
My animals are not allowed
on furniture.
They're not humans.
They're fucking animals.
So is that your couch?
Is it your couch?
No, it was not my couch,
but I live there.
Like so like to me, it's
more of a courtesy like,
hey, you got people who live
here at least.
I mean, look, at least
give me the first half hour
after I've spent three hours
literally vacuuming every
piece of hair off of the
Like give me that long to
enjoy it clean before you
let your fucking dirty
animal who has just been
out in the mud up on our
I respect that.
Um, I raise you, uh, I raise
you because that, that
story, my first story was
tame compared to when I
lived in a, what the
British call flat, a
student flat, a student
flat in, uh, in England.
No, it wasn't a studio.
It was this big, it was
like, you know, it was
like a triplex.
Like every floor had four
Every floor had four
bedrooms and I lived in one
of the bedrooms on the
third floor and I was
living with 11 other 18
year olds.
So I was the oldest girl
in the house.
They were all fresh out of
high school.
I was living with 11 other
people and there was not a
dishwasher.
So you can just imagine.
And they would party like
every night of the week.
So I'd go down to like make
dinner and it would just be a
full out party in the
I'd be like, well, I guess
I'm ordering a pizza.
But yeah, no, that was,
that was horrendous.
And we would have house
meetings like every week
because everybody would
want to point the finger at
each other and be like,
no, you didn't do this.
You didn't do that.
And blah, blah, blah, blah,
And they all sounded like
Harry Potter.
It was great.
I shouldn't have muted you.
Dakota came in just to say,
I'm pretty sure with eight
women in the house, there
were plenty of dishwashers
and I'm going to go smack
him for that one.
Good one, Dakota.
That one's a funny one.
Yeah, no, that was brutal.
That was absolutely brutal.
But I just got to the point
where I just did 11 other
people's dishes every night
because I had jet lag anyway.
I couldn't sleep.
It was like a five hour
difference.
So I would just be up at
like two, three in the
morning doing the dishes.
And then they'd all come
downstairs and be like,
oh my God, you didn't have
to do that.
I'm so sorry.
Oh, you didn't have to do
I'll do it next time.
And then they wouldn't do
it next time.
But you can't get mad at
British people because they
sound so sweet and proper
and wholesome.
I can't I can't I can't do
that accent.
You do it really well.
It's because I lived with
them for six months.
I'm so sorry.
But they all had different
accents because they were all
from different parts of
So like people from
Manchester sound like
it's almost like an accent.
But can you say, can I have
some more, please?
Can I have some more, please?
Can I have some more?
But then people from
Manchester sound like they're
like Jamaican English
So I'll be like, hey,
bruv, bruv.
I went to I went down to
Manchester and in
Manchester.
Oh, that accent is
disgusting.
I hate that accent.
It's terrible.
What's funny is the
Birmingham one, though.
The Peaky Blinder shit.
It's like it's it's
inaudible.
Like you can't hear it.
Like you can't understand
Yeah, you got to put on the
subtitles.
The top tier is the Tom
Hardy accent.
Yeah, the angry.
No, no, not the angry.
No, it's like when like
when he talks, when he
Have you ever watched
Peaky Blinder?
You know, Tom
Tom Hardy's character.
Like that character.
Holy fuck.
I can't hear it in my
You can't understand.
I can play it.
I'll find it.
I'll find it.
What were you doing?
We're getting we're
getting rated by SMB
right now.
What's up, SMB?
Welcome to set a
Mana's first song.
NFT drop on sound.
Mana, why don't you tell
us when this song is
It is dropping in
five days, four hours,
24 minutes and 47
46, 45, 44, 43.
Oh, my gosh.
This is don't don't mind
us up here, guys.
We're just we're just
Your PFPs are dope.
So come on up and say
hi if you want or don't.
That's OK, too.
I mean, that's pretty
tame compared to
yesterday's space.
OK, so can I tell you?
Can I tell you?
At first I blamed you,
Like I was like, oh,
this is Mella.
This is all Mella's
fault because then DJ's
space was.
Oh, it was horrendous.
It went way off the
rails to the point where I
had to leave.
I was like, yeah, that's
Yeah, I can't do this
kind of space back to
And and so then I went
into Cristiano space like
looking for reprieve.
But I made the horrible
mistake of bringing up
Clitmas and the 12
days of Clitmas.
And I'll tell you, it
turned his space into
pure chaos.
People were talking over
each other.
It was just nuts.
It was nuts.
You know what?
I think this is the thing,
The reason it worked in
the pimp radio space is
because we're not
afraid to use the
mute button.
I will mute everybody
like every two seconds
if I have to.
I told them if you talk
over each other, that's
You're done.
You're cut off.
I don't give a fuck.
I don't care who you
Like you said, you could
be Jay-Z's brother.
I'll cut you off.
Bro, I want it.
Now I really want to
know who that guy was.
I didn't even save his
I wanted to.
He blocked me.
Oh, he blocked you
He blocked me.
And it's it's wild
because that guy, you
know, he's been quite
supportive and I was
just like, wow, like I
didn't I personally
didn't say a word.
Yeah, it had nothing to
do with you.
Well, I apologize for
that if I kicked a
supporter, but it was
like when the guy was
like, listen, son, I
was like, oh, my God,
get the fuck out of
here, bro.
Like nobody asked you
to commentate on
everybody's performance.
Like not one person
was like, hey, please
give us your two cents
on everything.
And really, when when
he did that to new
level, when he was
like, oh, cut him
off, cut him off.
It's like, what?
Like, no, we don't
cut people off here,
It's like outside of
the dude with the
the fire alarm and
even him, even him.
We let go for a good
thirty five seconds
before we before we
booted him.
So it's like, that's
just not how we run.
And I don't know.
I didn't get why I
didn't get why every
comment had to be
like this backhanded,
like negative, like
passive aggressive
I didn't get it.
I just didn't
understand the whole
like anytime somebody
played a song, he'd be
like, you're from
you're from Brooklyn,
Oh, you're from you're
from Cali, right?
You're you sound like
you're from L.A.
And I'd be like, bro,
like, what what are
Who are you?
Why are you?
You know, it's just I
don't know.
It was very pretentious
and condescending at the
same time.
And I did not like it.
No, it was not.
It was it was not
But that's why I just
took it upon myself.
Like once he started
with the hey son stuff,
I was like, oh, I'm
done with this.
Like, that's it.
I've had enough.
You know, it's like
this is the this is
the scene from the
wedding singer when
he's like, well, I
have a microphone and
you don't.
So you will listen to
every damn word I
have to say.
Sometimes it just be
like that.
And then clip
mistakes over.
And then Dill
Oh, my God.
She was not she was
not stoked about us
not letting her up.
But oh, yeah, I
forgot about that.
We would have let her
up and she would have
been a nightmare.
So it was like, no,
And then DJ clearly
didn't hear any of that
go down because he
let her up right away,
And I missed the
beginning.
And she went into
DJ's space to
complain about how
offensive our space
And I I was so
close to going up
there, dude.
I had to I had to
really refrain from
hitting the request
button because I was
just going to go up
and be like, yeah,
that was the point.
Like we were purposely
being offensive.
Well, it's fine.
And then I mean, and
then she got her
boyfriend or whatever,
like because I think
that's who that other
The other account was
was just her boy.
I don't know.
I'm guessing.
But like based on the
fact that they were
like what the guy was
like, why did you kick
And it's like, well,
you know, you were you
were being the same
pain in the ass as
Dill Pickles.
So, you know, yeah,
we're we're not about
Like if you if you're
easily offended,
Twitter spaces might not
be for you.
Don't be caught dead
in a fucking DGEN
That was tame.
That was tame.
I don't get it.
I know we were
talking about hiring
hookers to fix
radiators.
I don't know if I'd
call it tame.
Yeah, I mean, it
Yeah, it got pretty.
It got pretty
interesting.
But that's what
That's what happens
here on spaces.
Hello, people.
Oh, people are
Feel free to to
come up if you if
you so want to or
listen to us ramble
about nothing.
Man, why don't you
Why don't you play us
a song so they know
what what they're even
Make them leave
If it does, then at
least, you know, from
the start that you need
to step your game up.
OK, better to get it
out of the way up front,
All right.
Well, this space is
to let people know
about my sound XYZ
first drop on that
This is the song I
will be posting on
It's the song I'm most
proud of production
And it's my latest
song that's also out
right now.
So if you guys enjoy
it, you can listen to
it right now.
The song is called
I want to roll it.
I want to go to
I want to go there
talking about nowhere
living my life and
there's no fair
moving so fast.
You don't need to get
I don't care how long I didn't
I want to.
I'm going to get it.
I just be getting this started.
I just be getting this started.
I just be getting this started.
I'm going to get what I wanted.
I'm going to get what I want.
Money and bros.
Going from all of the blogs.
Watching me tear it apart. Look.
I'ma get it.
I don't care how long I get insane.
They hear my song and turn it up.
I'm saying finally.
Finally I'm free.
Finally I'm free.
I'm going to write this.
I'm going to memorize this.
I'm going to jeopardize this.
Will I jeopardize this?
Will I jeopardize this?
Will I jeopardize this?
Will I jeopardize that?
Will I go to see my city from a double high flat?
Will I get it go flat? Will I hang out from the wall?
Will I get a good girl that will cut you when I fall?
I want to roll it.
I want to go there.
Talking about nowhere.
Living my life and there's no fair.
Moving so fast.
Don't need to get it.
Cause people forget it.
My feelings are fading away.
Grabbing and drinking things.
I'm finna get it or not it.
Talking to me and me popping.
Fucking red love on my chapel.
Can't run the kuma matata.
I just be getting it started.
I just be getting it started.
I'm finna get what I want.
Money and bros.
I'm finna get it.
I don't care how long I didn't sleep.
Hear my song and turn it up.
I'm saying finally.
Finally I'm free.
Finally I'm free.
Hear my song and turn it up.
I'm saying finally.
Oh thank you for the sound effects.
I love that song so much.
See but this is the thing about Manna right?
Like he's always like.
He's always like.
He's like man I don't know.
I don't know if this song is any good.
You're like are you fucking kidding me right now?
He sent me one.
He sent me one before Art Basel.
I was like yeah I don't know man.
Like I don't know if this is any good.
And so I was like.
I was like oh man.
Maybe Manna is actually about to send me like the worst one he's ever made.
Fucking straight banger.
My girl was like oh it's like the Jonas Brothers but better.
And I was like yeah.
Sorry Manna.
Like it's good.
It's also good.
Very good.
I'm just happy you like it.
Yeah it's really good.
I love your stuff.
You perform well live too.
Which is important.
I just wish they had a compressor.
It felt too karaoke.
And it fucked with my vibe.
Dude it's it's good.
Like it's just it's Twitter spaces.
Oh no I mean the real life one.
Oh the real life one.
I just wish they had a compressor.
I mean that's a whole other like that's a whole other discussion because like live doing
live to tracks is tough anyway.
You know you gotta have a lot of equipment to really make it feel different than what
most of them do.
The you know what would really get people like man I don't know if you know any instruments
bro but if you knew how to play guitar and you converted your songs to like acoustic versions
for some of the live performances it would it would mess people up.
I'm trying to learn.
Well that that's a good strategy in my opinion because being able to being able to perform
with an instrument and and do something that is so it would be so different from your
produced stuff.
But yeah I think it gives people the dual experience.
I feel like that's kind of at the level where I'm at work like where I'm able to perform
if that makes any sense that would probably be the best.
But since the music that I like to create is a little bit like very high production and
I would kind of need like a set like Taylor Swift or some shit to have all that you know extra
stuff like back background vocals and all the extra you know have an actual person with
like $70,000 worth of equipment that will you know mix and master everything through single
channels and make it sound like the way it should like a pop song you know.
Yeah I mean that's it's funny like a lot of the top tier a list celebrities there you'll
notice a lot of them are singing along to a track and you'll you know what I mean it's
the and you'll hear the difference between like the the backing track and their upfront vocals
because it's just like okay I'll give you a pretty good example Justin Bieber.
His live performances you you hear his real voice like you're hearing his raw real voice
most of the time the more expensive shows that he plays like when he plays acoustic stuff you're
hearing his real voice but he's if he's playing in like a stadium obviously he's got the money
like his crews got the money to be able to have like crazy you know expensive setups and you'll hear
like the auto-tune on his voice at the like stadium performances so and it I don't know I I prefer
hearing him you know raw that's just my personal preference but like people notice people will be
like hey I heard that little like glitch there and you know there's auto-tune they're running
compressors it's a very very expensive setup.
I usually like to just uh just do standard pitch correction on my voice but sometimes like most of
the time now when I when I've been using the pitch correction I kind of like turn it up a little
bit because I like how I feel like it accents some of the stuff that's just a me thing though I feel
like I feel like it makes the it adds more like some type of it adds like a vibrato type vibe to it
but it's not actually vibrato but like a vibrato is an accent to a voice so it's like that kind of uh
stuff yeah you're using it stylistically yeah not yeah yeah which I think is cool I like um
um I'd rather it be used stylistically like I'll use it everybody fucking uses it even the people who
don't need it yeah especially the people who don't need it especially when it's recording on a track
like all of Ariana Grande's music is auto-tune yep I prefer Melodyne over just straight up auto-tune
because there's some takes especially when like with my stuff I'll do like kind of jazzy vocals and
I have swoops and stuff and if you just slap an auto-tune on a swoop it's just like
it just doesn't sound good that gets into the nitty-gritty though that's that's more that's more
what is it called that's more that's not even mixing or mastering that's uh what man what is it
called yeah your vocal engineering like that's before you even put the EQ onto it like you're
you're uh uh uh tending to the audio file itself
you do that yeah jay whatever jay didn't really understand that like you could use tuning in a
way that is not noticeable and also like lots of people do that it's been like it depends on the
final product you're looking to get but you know I was like yeah he was spend hours I'm sorry I cut
you off I thought you were done yeah you're good you're good I can monologue that's that's my only
problem um no but it's like he didn't understand that like oh there's a difference between running
like auto-tune and trying to make the t-pain voices and using you know using vocal processors
that clean up some of your uh some of your fuck-ups along the way so that you don't have to just
constantly go in and re-record new take after new take after new take kind of thing
yeah and so I mean melodyne is just to make sure your voice is on pitch I guess auto-tune kind of
does the same thing but it's a little bit different when the the way you use it but I I hate using
melodyne like I like I hate it with a passion like it's that's like it's like I want to do music but
that feels like music theory to me so I would rather do a take a hundred thousand times and have the
auto-tune do it pitch it right you know uh where I I get the tone that I want rather than manually do
it yeah I feel you um I guess the difference would be yeah it really just depends on the outcome that
you're looking for because some people use auto-tune for stylistic purposes and they want that like
crisp clear it does add like a layer to your vocals um that's audible to like the people that
are producing music so it just depends on what you're going for I I stray away from auto-tune
because it's I don't I don't necessarily want that extra layer on top of my vocals I I try to keep it as
raw as possible and then what I'll do is I'll like so like when I'm when I'm doing a take I'm aiming for
an energy because I need the um I need that like I need the the energy to translate through the vocal
take or else it's just going to sound like I'm like you know things that sound too perfect to me
uh for my yeah like that needs some imperfections so what I'll do is some imperfections are fine but
other ones I'm like no that's that's way too far so I'll just go in it's literally one little note
like sometimes it's just the tail end of a note and I'll just kind of like boop put it in place
and then the rest of the take is is exactly as I recorded it so yeah okay so that's the melody
thing yeah yeah yeah but I've done I mean if you listen to stuck my my song stuck it's on all
platforms um that one was auto-tune but that was on purpose for like the stylistic approach because
it's a it's like a drum and bass type of like almost like pop like edm vibe so it made sense
for that song um but like for example uh dancing cry it didn't make sense for that song because that
song's you know it's trying to be pretty raw and um like just straight up so yeah it just really
depends on the song for me and uh feel free to correct me but uh I I kind of I think I found a way
like how I kind of hide like if I were to try and hide the auto-tune what I realized is I run two
and I will have the first one that just uh generally pitches everything like I'll have it through the
low like my voice is low male so it covers that amount of the vocal range and then I'll do the
general pitch correction and then I'll uh add another auto-tune plug-in and then I'll add it to soprano
where it just changes the high but I'll add it to chromatic not fixed to a key so then it changes
uh it kind of like it takes away all the tiny little uh yeah I know what you're saying at the
top end you know makes it sound robotic it takes it away yeah the most part yeah because it's getting
all like the little because what will happen is if you run a vocal through auto-tune and there's a lot
of swoops going on like I was saying before um like sliding into a note the auto-tune unless you
like crank the auto-tune it's gonna it's gonna like not be able to catch like the entirety of
that swoop and you're gonna hear it it kind of clip into the next note um so it makes sense why you
do that because that might be happening and then you just like do a chromatic auto-tune on top of that
and then it catches all those little like imperfections that came from the swoops from the first auto-tune
so that makes sense that's actually so that's what I did for the the song that fondue heard
cool yeah yeah yeah it's I mean it works definitely works I'm not seeing anybody requesting to join
feel free you can talk it's like three speakers up here some people are shy in spaces they just want
to come in and listen to us ramble this is why you know my my buddy described twitter spaces as
interactive am radio so yeah that makes sense you just got to be prepared to to be the radio host and
and keep things moving and and then rug all their asses uh whenever you're done that's something you
can't really it's it's like you don't really do that in radio you know this is I wish there was a
suggestion panel because say no one's there I can't hear what they want to want us to talk about
you know so if I if I pick a topic and it's just you know it's pretty boring they're just going to
leave they're not going to tell me what they want to hear you can always use the con comment section
like if people want to contribute to the conversation but they're shy or something if
they can go into the comments that always works and that you know it's more engagement on the space
and more people will see it too but uh something I noticed I've had this conversation with someone that
comes to every single one of the pimp radio spaces and then you know doesn't come up as a speaker
uh they were saying that they genuinely enjoy listening because it's not a conversation that
they feel like they can contribute to like they're they don't know anything about music they don't know
anything about the stuff that we talk about but they love listening to it because it's like new
information and they just like to you know make it educational then I mean I I'm no I'm not like
Leslie Braithwaite or anything but I mean we just did a nice we just did a nice bit on yeah yeah vocal production
yeah it's fun I I do it sometimes too I go into spaces that talk about things that I know nothing
about and I just sit there and I listen and then I learn something even if it's one little thing by
the end of the space I feel like there was some purpose there so and everybody in here if you do
you know enjoy being here feel free to retweet and uh try to bring some other people here that
would be awesome you don't have to though but it would be awesome just reminding you that they have
to there will be attack pigeons brought to your home I yeah you're so nice you're so nice they're
here I threaten people in in pimp radio I tell them if they don't repost the space and bring more
people in I will send attack pigeons to their house every day for three years I saw Violetta on stage
she was oh my god I was scared of her
yeah Violetta doesn't doesn't threaten attack visions usually um but she's no she she will just
show up to your house oh yeah she's right she will show up to your home and ask you why you didn't
retweet the space I've had times where I didn't even realize that I hadn't and thankfully she didn't
notice and like I'm up on the speaker panel the whole time I'm like shit I thought I retweeted this
already I don't you know I don't need I don't need I don't know if you guys saw when uh when she
called out Jay for for talking during her set yeah she was calling out everybody by name oh I was
dying I was dying I was truly shocked she didn't start doing that one song earlier because it was
like loud during one of her songs I'm like oh V does not like this that is not her her bag that's why
she don't that's why she doesn't like playing bar shows anymore because she's just not interested in
like having to sing over everybody's conversation um but it was hysterical because that was Jay's
first like first web three type show experience and he told me later he's like oh my god he's like
I can't believe I got called out I was like well yeah you shouldn't have been talking it's like I was
like at least at least pretend like you're paying attention during the quiet sets during the loud ones you
can get away with it but during the quiet sets it's a good thing she doesn't remember my name
one thing I do like oh that I'm sure she does um one thing I do like about like I I get it I totally
get the whole like I I would love for everybody to listen and pay attention like that's the best
some of the best shows I've ever played were the ones where you know it's like intimate it's a small
crowd everybody's sitting on the floor we're all being hippies and I'm singing to them and nobody's
talking those are like my favorite gigs but one thing I do like um like a little benefit from playing
a bar show uh is I can tell immediately when I've written a song that people vibe with because everyone
will stop talking that's my favorite fucking thing about bar shows because I'll play you know I'll go
I'll play one thing not you and okay there's still some people talking I'll play dance and cry there's
still some people talking and then I play take me down and everybody stops and starts watching I'm
like okay this is the song that I have to start like you know either start my show with or throw
it like right in the middle or something because it helps me navigate the show and and just like
determine what music is going to vibe with people um and every show is different so like it's it's
actually interesting how that happens too like group think is a thing and like you know someone will
see someone else stop and be like hey do you hear that and then they'll go stop and like walk up so
yeah that's one thing I really do like about bar shows that yeah that that that kind of song for me
is dumb it up yeah those moments feel good what's up felique yo what's up if anybody wants co-host feel
free if you're just stopping by you're just on doing melody does that no no no don't yeah don't
no don't give it don't give it to me just because I am gonna have to dip out here all right well if
anybody wants to they can have it if you are gonna leave soon that's also okay um I was gonna say
though to mella so I just I stumbled upon a uh a brewery in my area that I think will be perfect for
a colorado show so whenever we organize that like it they've got like especially in the summer
because they've got a huge patio and like tons of tons of seating and like the way it's set up
with you would not need a lot for a PA to be like to be effective that sounds cool I'm down
I have a feeling 2024 is going to be a lot more of those types of shows oh my god dazzling
dazzling is up on the stage what's up hey guys how we doing I actually I get really nervous every
time I speak to a new crowd for the first time even though I'm totally like I'm all over spaces
all the time I'm always talking I've hosted many before um but hearing someone's voice for the first
time behind a PFP can be like really weird so um I just wanted to come up and say hi
well well especially when you're sporting a uh a cat dressed like Santa whose butthole is facing us
the whole time um you know uh I actually remember this from from last night that's funny yeah it's
there's a long story behind the PFP but um look it is an NFT and um I decided to throw the uh the
beard and the the hat on it just for you know because it's Christmas it's the uh you know the
holiday season so so why not but um yeah I just wanted to come up and say g'day um you know I'm a
I'm a huge fan of um you Fondu and Mallory your music um I think it's fantastic and I noticed you
threw me a follow yesterday I was like oh my god you follow me and Fondu you followed me a while back
so um I just wanted to express my gratitude for that and um look I'm a musician right I've been
playing for what 20 years or so um you know bass guitar they've got a drum kit there self-taught
piano as well but um I'm trying to um I'm trying to build up the courage to come into a pimp radio
space and and and play a song um because one thing that uh you know like give me a bass guitar because
I'm only a bassist right throw me on stage in front of 10,000 people I'll be sweet as anything but
give me an acoustic guitar and and try and project a song uh the way I'm feeling it it's just it's a
whole new level for me so I'm trying to build the courage up to come up in a pimp radio space and
and play this song that I've written um for a lady that I really like um she has heard it before but I
think she would really like it if I could show her that I could get up there and uh do it one day so
yeah dazzling yeah definitely definitely got to come and share when you uh when you get that uh
when you get that courage level up whatever you're you know whatever that is for you I'll tell you like
it gets easier after you push through the first one um you know it's like the first one is always
going to be a little daunting uh I still remember shit I mean I still remember my first live show
um but yeah you're you're more than you're more than welcome anytime dazzling
dazzling listen right now listen to me listen to feel like music all right say fuck this shit
I'm being serious say fuck this shit say three two one and fucking start doing it trust me
and you're right it takes time to build that confidence it takes time to build that shit but I
don't give a fuck listen you say three two one bam and then do it it's also it's also gonna throw
his kids into the pool and just be like swim swim swim or drown out either it doesn't have to be like
that either uh well at least for me how I do it because I'm possibly the most insecure person you'll
ever meet and the most introverted person you'll ever meet is uh when I perform uh I practice to the
point to where I could probably do it in my sleep and uh I tell myself that it's not about
perform like it's not like you don't have to actually be on stage and be awake and you know
alive or whatever like do crowd like you don't have to be there on stage but if you practice because
the whole performance is like choreography so if you practice it including like you include the tone
the pitch you're singing you're playing your movement if you practice all of that and you make
that a whole choreography set then you can turn off your brain and just do do exactly what you
practiced before and then you'll forget everything and you'll remember everything when you walk off
stage but you did everything you were supposed to do
100 there's many ways of doing it I guess my way is just saying three two one and then doing it
and then not thinking about it to be honest but uh there are many ways to do it behind the scenes before
you go for it I'm just trying to lift you up and motivate you I do it in a David Goggins way that's
how I am um and yeah it just depends on how you are bro but I really hope that someday that courage
is broken and you could crush it on a stage in front of people for Pimp Radio or any other spaces
because I really believe in you and I've been there before and it's gonna work out it's gonna be just as
good as you expect it to be as long as you push through it as long as you go through the first thing
like Fondue was saying to the first time it'll get easier like he said as well that's all
100% man uh like I really appreciate that the funny thing is like the very first show that I ever did
um for like this prog band that I was in uh when I was what uh 18 uh we basically uh I got up on stage
and I remember there was about 2,000 people in the crowd and I was just I was so nervous it was just
like dripping in sweat and as soon as we played that first note as soon as that first note rang out
everything just went straight over my head and I was there I was present in that moment and nothing
else really mattered it was it was just such a beautiful experience and um you know I remember
uh Seal uh I'm sure a lot of you remember Seal he um you know he said even every single time before he
goes in and plays live he gets absolutely terrified but as soon as he gets up there and he's in the
moment of the performance it's just completely gone so um I I do know this uh it's it's not not a
problem but uh yeah just just that voice thing it's it always um just draws me back so um I'm gonna
do it I I know I'm gonna do it uh you just just give me give me a minute and um you know I'll jump
into PIM radio space and I I'm at work now so I'm gonna have to go back to work but um uh yeah I
don't have the guitar with me now but um yeah I'm definitely gonna I just wanted to come up and say
um yeah I'll definitely do it for sure well I I just want to say you're always welcome you're
always welcome and whenever the time is right and whenever it feels like the the moment then uh
please even if it it requires you to hit me up in the dms and say hey I'm kind of nervous like
just give me a heads up and we'll do our best to make you feel comfortable
I appreciate that guys uh Melbourne Australia Australia oh I I have uh I have some family
in uh in Sydney nice nice yeah and I've always been in Melbourne um looking to move up to the
Gold Coast because it you know it's a little bit warmer up there um but you know Australia is
Australia's home um but yeah I mean in regards to to jumping up and playing as well uh I know you
take um recordings and then you know you you can stream them but I I feel like I need to I need
to push through this one and actually play it so um but no it's really nice to have a chat to you guys
and and meet everybody I just kind of want to break the ice there and there's a nice quiet room to do so
uh but I'm gonna pop down back to listener um it was lovely to speak to you all and uh I'll catch
you in a another space shortly awesome catch you next time dazzling
the rainbow kitty with a butthole has spoken
I love that pfp makes me want to rock my moon cat meet pfp really badly I'm determined to uh I mean I'll
hold that moon cat forever but you know it'd be nice if it made me some some doubt someday I'm not
gonna lie Mela I'm pretty partial to this current pfp because like there's there's an instrument in
there that I you know I'm very attached to I like it I know I was I I literally thought about that
as I was posting it I'm like this isn't even it's not my full setup like it's not it's not fully
Mela B I need a new pfp I'm aware it's just the reason I switched it I wasn't being sarcastic
I I am I like this one I like seeing my guitar I thought you were feeling like you know like um
possessive of the guitar and no no I'm not I'm not that I'm not a possessive person with too many
okay so you're kind of happy at the time I'm very happy it's there I'm like oh my my baby is getting
so much exposure I need I want a new one though because um I don't know I liked I liked the pink
vibe in my last one and I want to keep that this is more of like a purple and blue type of vibe I'm
I'm a colors person so I need to figure it out but uh for now this will do hey fondue what's the name
with the guitar I mean I've been calling her sushi um I don't think I don't know why
now that we're talking about pfp's hey sushi can you hear me
I love you sushi she can't hear you right now because uh she's she's in bed
oh oh felique's pfp looks exactly like mine
yeah yeah what the hell wait all of all three of our pfp's me mana and felique we're all facing
the same direction that's so weird we could call ourselves one direction that might be taken I
don't know no it's not taken that fucking thing died yeah I think that band broke out to the right
to the right to the left to the left everybody I swear now that I know how tall felique is
it messes me out because like I I didn't think he was as tall as he ended up being in real life
he's a monster he's ginormous thank you guys thank you uh I don't know what to say um but
I I think I think my piece of advice is keep drinking milk and eating chicken
it's too late for growth for me felique like I'm I'm many years past growth like that it ain't
gonna change just from you know what's crazy what's crazy is felique is still young and he's still
growing god yeah that is crazy to think that's crazy because men aren't like fully grown until
what is it like 25 26 something um yeah he could get taller I honestly I I would rather give the
height to you guys so just take it there there you go uh I know you guys are past the aging age
but uh that's fine it's okay you know I'm just gonna I'm just gonna try well we're not past the
aging age we're still aging but we are past the growing age still aging no see in my world you
guys are gonna say the same okay 10 years I'm gonna see fondue just as he is I'm gonna see
malabi just as she is I'm gonna see mana just as he is I'll even see bucky just as he is all right
I'm not gonna see anybody else different I mean that might be true for Bella and that might be
true for mana but I can tell you that 10 years for me uh there's gonna be some more grays bro I
promise you that there's gonna be no avoiding it guys I found my very first gray and I'm so sad like
I I literally have a video of myself I was gonna post it but I didn't post it I have a video of
myself finding this gray hair on my head and just melting down like literally melting down
Mella how old are you I'm 27 you can tell us all right so my cousin who is two years younger than
me has gray hair so it doesn't mean everything it's from the stress guys I'm so stressed I need
to calm the fuck down
that's actually why I don't have very many gray hairs when I look at people that I grew up with
who are like they're like grayed out and I'm just like oh I got like three or four you know there's
like a few in there but it's not a lot yeah I don't have a lot of stress in my life I don't have
kids too like that Mella the fact that you don't have any kids you shouldn't you shouldn't be having
any gray hairs so don't stress so much yeah I know I know I gotta there's there's reasons I gotta
sort out some things but some big decisions are coming in 2024 guys I'm scared and I don't know
I don't know what to do Mella you'll crush it we know we know you will you guys are a lot shorter in
person too uh yeah well that you said I'm short I yeah I said you're shorter that is what I thought
that is what he was telling us oh you're taller what did you you thought I was gonna be a tall
human being yes wow I thought you were gonna be like five foot eight I thought fondue was gonna be
five foot eight wait how tall did you think I was I technically am almost five foot eight for the
perfect oh you thought I was five eight no man I thought you were like I didn't even know you before
this I didn't know you before our puzzle I don't picture people's height I never do it doesn't even
cross my mind it must just be a dude thing we just think like how tall are these motherfuckers
and how I thought she would be dude things are weird things but you know right I still love
with the first moment that I met Faleek uh he didn't know who I was and uh I'm gonna forever
hold on to that because it was hysterical like absolutely like literally he was standing around
while I was telling people who I was and he didn't hear and then he was like introducing himself to me
and I'm like yeah I know who you are bro like I know and he couldn't figure it out and so I made
everybody around him not tell him like it took it took a minute wait what was it Faleek what was the
point that we got to where you finally figured it out when you said I could sing you a song I was like
yup I knew exactly who that was honestly I felt I felt like a piece of shit for not all but but at the
same time it it was so genuine because I wasn't gonna bullshit around and say oh you're this I
I was like I don't know I don't know and then you told me you could sing a song I'm like this is Fondue
there's no way this is anybody else yeah Fondue has a very distinct voice though so as soon as he
says hello or like hey what's up it's like oh yeah that's Fondue see Mela kind of cheated though
because Mela Mela got me on a on like a FaceTime call group chat before that but she like she she
said she sensed me coming around the corner when we went and saw her show for the uh the one love event
I did like okay so Fondue was inside I was playing outside he was inside like behind where I was playing
and Dakota was standing in front of me uh just helping me get set up and stuff
and I was like I was looking down at my guitar like tuning my guitar and I was like I can sense
that Fondue is right in front of me and then I looked up and there he was I don't know why I just
knew it I didn't even see your feet but even if I did see your feet I wouldn't have known they were
your feet yeah you wouldn't have known they were my feet yeah Fondue is also a very distinct outfit so
it kind of made made me like be okay this is 100% him because I don't know you just wear so
well it's like I don't know man literally police talking about me wearing a white t-shirt and jeans
like I wore it I just wore the shit out of those white t-shirts literally the exact same thing he
was wearing a white t-shirt maybe it was black I don't know no no it's the same no I went straight
to the rave I was wearing this I was wearing the same thing guys and then I drove back god and then
I drove back to fucking Wynwood after that rave it was it was funny when I realized who mana was
because um I didn't know what he looked like but I knew his songs because we had like we'd had a call
and he he had sent me some songs and I knew his songs from spaces so he went up on stage to do a
sound check and then I was like oh I know who I know exactly who this is and I walked over uh in
between his like sound check uh when he wasn't performing anymore I was just like hey mana he's
like yeah who are you and I was like Mel B he's like holy shit cool and I guess like a lot of people
thought I don't know if like there's people that didn't see like my videos and stuff but a lot of
people thought that I'm bald so um that's why I changed my pfp because I am no longer bald
it's good if you want to be incognito
yeah that's true I want to see you guys you do look a lot different with hair though
like it's actually like uncanny yeah I'm I have so many pictures of myself with all the different
phases of my hair because I've had every color hair you can think of and every length that you can
think of like everything like I've I've had a mohawk I've had like the mullet I've had like I've
had every style hair you can think of and every single time I look like a completely different
person so it's perfect because if I don't want people to recognize me then I just like change my
hair and I'm a different person and they don't recognize me anymore so so say you were to commit a
crime and you were on a poster all you would have to do is just you know change your style and no one
would recognize you yeah I don't know my my my vibe changes with my hair I give off a different
energy maybe maybe that's it mel is now in her singer-songwriter phase and this is honestly the
best phase I've ever seen if it was not for her I wouldn't have oh speaking of that oh my god
mel should we uh should we give a sneak peek
no I don't think so yeah I'm kidding yeah no I I weren't kidding it was a question
yeah no I was like should we do it and then the second the second the second you said
I don't know should I should I drop a video of a sneak peek or no not either um you could
yeah I mean you could no the league is the league is itching the league is itching right now I really
want uh I want to sit with this song in the studio with you and and Dakota and like get some production
done I'm just like eager to do that because once you get into the studio you never know like there's
so many directions this song could go so that oh you know what yeah as soon as he says as soon as he
said I'm like yeah nah this is this song is so special for all of us that like I cannot you know
what yeah let's put it this way there are a few songs there's one song in particular that I wrote
uh maybe like two months ago that I haven't sung for anybody like not in spaces none of my friends
the only person that's heard it actually okay two people have heard it Dakota and my friend Chris
who was in the space yesterday um and because of Chris actually he told me on our phone call
he was like this is your like wild card and don't show it to anybody until it's like you drop this
song right before the album drops you know you know those songs that you just need to hold on to
and like just surprise everybody and be like hey here's a single album's dropping in two weeks
bam that's the song so I haven't played it for anybody and I think that the song that you're
that you're talking about is like it's a wild card you're right yep advice on a recorded spaces I love
it we've been we've been doing all kinds of that today police that's just my opinion like I don't
like telling people what to do it's just my opinion and I hope it doesn't come across as like
you know but um no I I love that I I don't tell people about anything that I do in my personal
life on on spaces on anywhere so yeah I just I've been I've just been so excited about the song
that I haven't like I haven't really been thinking about it the way we we should think about all of
us you know me you and and Dakota so now that I'm more calm and less excited uh which is good I'm
gonna make just the right decision of not releasing it but yeah you're right I don't I don't tell
anybody anything in my life like people don't know people don't know like 80% of who I am in
this space which is good you know except you know except the people who will know in the future
about more of me because I'm getting closer to a lot of particular people like you Fondue and
Mana and Dakota like those is fine but like other people they shouldn't know my life either just like
you like other people shouldn't know your life either what you do Fondue and everybody else it's
that's how that's that's how it is that's how it's supposed to be me meanwhile I'm telling people
about me getting four wisdom teeth pulled uh on Twitter um so I I don't know I I I'm I'm a semi-open
book fair enough fair enough uh you know that that's awesome though uh I really hope it goes well
uh and I hope you don't um I I don't want to give you delusional optimism because I'm not like that
I'll be honest with you it's gonna suck it's gonna suck like a motherfucker uh all right I'm let I'm
letting him put me under for it I've I've never done sedation dentistry before um but this guy was
like look he's like you don't have to be sedated he's like but be sedated be yeah he was like he was
like if you just let him he's like well because no matter what they have to do the shots in the in
the tooth like the sedation isn't really to like help with numbing or anything like that it's literally
just so you don't have to be alert for where while it's all happening and actually for me I just have
a really bad gag reflex and so he recommended sedation for that alone because he's like we got
all these tools we're gonna be like putting in your mouth he's like it's gonna probably be
uncomfortable he's like you won't experience any of that if you just let us sedate you know like
all right I guess yeah I mean it's but it's like an extra six hundred dollars yeah it's expensive
I was sedated when I had my wisdom teeth out and it was the best decision um but I remember at the
very end just like I guess you know they were they were just finishing up cleaning me up type of thing
there was no like you know traumatic anything happening at this point but I just remember like
starting to be coherent again and like I could hear them talking about me and I remember being so
offended and I couldn't defend myself I couldn't I couldn't say anything and I just heard them
talking about me no I don't even remember what they were saying but they were like they were talking
about like um she was hallucinating it no they were talking this girl's music is so bad
uh I don't remember what they were talking about but then also my mom picked me up from my um
my appointment and I was so scared like going into the appointment I was so scared that I was
gonna say stupid shit because you know how people get put under that's that's my dad did know that
I'm fucking terrified of that I'm terrified of that like I don't want to say some stupid shit that
you know like I don't need my mom to hear right so um yeah I just I remember being so scared I don't
remember that day so maybe I did say some stupid shit and she's just kind enough to not tell me about
it but yeah that was the scary for me I told Ryan I told Ryan she's not allowed to uh video record
me my buddy just had some teeth pulled where he was sedated and his girl recorded him saying some
fucking hilarious just jibber jabber and uh I told Ryan I was like yeah you you cannot record me I don't
want any of that existing no I want to be completely by myself like I'm gonna like cop an uber
I'm gonna cop an uber the uber driver I don't want anybody to know
because you get in the uber and he's just like hey how are you and you're like uh
yeah uh yeah the uber driver is probably not gonna let you in like truly he's gonna say no I ain't
letting this drunk motherfucker in my uber you're like drooling all over his seats I've been pushing
back my wisdom teeth for like two years now because I'm terrified of that one I'm terrified
of getting put under and two I'm terrified of saying some dumb shit see I had to get mine taken
out when I did because they were coming in like horizontal and they were gonna fuck up my my teeth
that I had you know work done on I had braces and everything so I was like no uh no you're not
fucking with my teeth so I got my wisdom teeth taken out and they were like yeah we're just gonna
do all four at the same time even though I had already told them that I had I have tmj like I
have jaw issues um from a bad accident when I was a kid and um he's like no no you'll be fine it's a
quick surgery uh meanwhile my jaw kind of like acts up if I go for a cleaning so yeah I I had lock jaw
for two and a half almost three weeks I couldn't eat any solid food because I couldn't even get a
fork into my mouth because my jaw was literally locked uh and I couldn't open it yeah so it was
brutal um I probably should have just done two at a time but then looking back it's like you kind
of just want to get them over with and not have to go back for a terrible surgery again so well yeah
that's that's also my my thing is he's like look we could do two and and you know and then have you
come back in he's like but now you're coming to do this twice he's like I I recommend we do all four
and for me I'm an idiot like I had an appointment back when I was caught back when I was a year younger
than you Mella because it was right before I got kicked off of my parents insurance so 26 had the
appointment to have them pulled and then decided I didn't want to go and then lost the insurance and
and luckily my mouth wasn't really affected like he even said like I have enough space in my mouth
to have it I'm having to do it because like I've had two of them that got uh got a little cavity
ridden and uh and cracked and so it's like they're really hard to clean is the biggest issue and so
yeah so I'm like I I put it off I really should have had I really should have had them pulled out
like 10 years ago again and uh yeah didn't do it so we're just we're at the point of no return
where it's like I have to get this done yeah I'm kind of waiting for that but the like like the
internet can kill you that's that's what I'm terrified don't watch videos if you say dumb shit
the internet like someone if someone posts that you're done my warning to you this is the mistake
that I made do not and I repeat I don't give a fuck how badly you want to unless you've already
done it then you're just as dumb as me and congratulations um it's nice having two brain
cells isn't it um don't watch videos about how they do it like any oral surgery don't watch the video
it's terrible it made me so scared this ain't my first rodeo I don't search the internet for any of
that crap so anybody who already has you guys are crazy no I I would not I would not be looking up
what they're about to do to me tomorrow like no just do it I'm an idiot ditch it up I did it for
my gum surgery I wanted to be a doctor and then I realized I wanted to be a lot smarter than I am so
that kind of ended pretty quick but bro I've done bro oh my god Mel when I did my gum surgery
literally literally 30 days before that I watched I watched the video and I was shitting bricks
when I when I entered that room I could not it was the worst thing in the world secondly secondly
if you want to try fentanyl or acid no problem don't do those because then you could just take
out your wisdom tooth and you'll feel the same thing
no that is not that is not advice for the for anybody in the room we usually say not financial
advice that's not life advice that's NLA okay don't be don't be taking fentanyl acid maybe like
acid maybe yeah what are you suggesting here yeah don't don't be taking fentanyl okay I'm not saying
take even if it's prescribed you don't don't do that either yeah don't don't don't take drugs in
general um no dude come on I love drugs hold on there's seriously don't don't the term the term
has been bastardized because like there's some things like I mean fleek you already know I told
you I took a I took a micro mushrooms that night at uh at uh UVR and it was incredible that was the
fucking best um yeah I don't know you know drugs are okay but do stay away from the bad ones it's
unwise to self-diagnose and self-medicate and that is uh that is speaking of which I have not
had my edible yet and I haven't eaten actual food yet either since like 10 o'clock this morning
don't eat I'm gonna have to go no when you do when I hear the fridge alarm
yeah well no it's gonna require all her food didn't get like ruined from leaving the fridge
open all day oh no that that takes days what are you talking about not for ice cream
sure oh my god um but yeah I will I'll be back if you guys are still running I gotta eat something
okay sounds good I love you guys bye love you too I I'm gonna rephrase myself real quick
okay guys bear with me just bear with me all right I think we got what you were trying to put down
I think we picked it up no no because I think I actually might have said something wrong
um I'm gonna know what you did yeah I did see there you go thank you man thank you for making
this much better um okay don't try fentanyl don't try heroin don't try cocaine don't try any of those
things you can take you can try weed I've tried weed dude uh you can try you can try you can try
mushrooms that's fine but instead of taking fentanyl which you should never do never right
just get your wisdom tooth that's what I'm saying do you do you understand that's that's
like that they could be giving you that when you get your wisdom teeth out they can they no they
no no yes yes fentanyl was used for surgeries before it entered the street yeah it's pretty
commonly used oh okay then don't do either but I don't think there I think that's pretty specific
I don't think that that that goes for like pulling teeth yeah it's meant for surgeries
for pulling teeth they use a different chemical substance to make you feel um hazy I don't know
what the name of it is but it's definitely not fentanyl it works on your nerves so it it does what
what morphine does but that's yep that's exactly what it is morphine yeah it's it's similar to that
yep but it's nothing close to fentanyl okay well just just don't don't
use your decision off of whatever your fucking doctor says like how about that just say that
don't think fentanyl but take mushrooms like bro like risky risky I don't know about always
listening to your doctor either because your doctors uh they're you know they're under the
influence of the uh the people who come in and sell them the drugs so you know don't don't think
they always got your best interest most of them yeah sure but you know what man since you're gonna
keep your stance I'm just gonna say this y'all do whatever y'all want to do I won't do any drugs
I've tried one which is weed and I liked it I'm never doing that shit again y'all do whatever you
want to do and I'm just gonna stay on my lane everybody stays on their own lane and that's life
life is good Felique Felique I can tell you right now when you come on this river trip with us
in may okay remember remember we got a river trip in may memorial weekend don't make fucking plans
for that weekend because it's up by you too you're it's only like a two-hour drive from where you're
at wait what wait what day is it what what day is it uh you just look at a calendar and look at the
end of may it's usually like I mean fuck I could do it for you but then I feel like I'm doing you a
disservice like just go look at a calendar at the end of may and look for memorial look for memorial
day which is usually a Monday um and then it's the we do the Saturday Sunday Monday so like we're
done we're off the river on Monday but like we're we're loading up Saturday morning and then we camp
Saturday night and Sunday night um on the river and uh I can tell you right now uh I'm gonna convince
you to uh to drop some shroomies with me on that trip come on fun what the hell it's the best trip for
it it's it's the best I promise you I would never lead you astray bro I've got I've got a lot of
years on you fleek I got a lot of years I would never leave you astray I know you're not a bad
influence you just want me to have a better time I understand just bring just bring the sanny with
you just in case no oh my god you don't need more drugs you don't need more drugs that's a bad trip
killer no bad trips are a bad trip no bad trips are a misunderstanding let me let me just say
something let me just say something look I don't mind trying it I'll be honest look I've tried like
I said I've tried the w it was good you know what you know what I'm saying but that's how far I'm
gonna go the w yeah the w that's how far I'm gonna go maybe you know not maybe definitely mushroom
is gonna be the last thing that I try because I've tried edibles too right edibles was horrible
let me just tell y'all how fucked that that was so bad for me I'm never doing that again
weed is the same thing even though if I liked it because I'm just a trier man you know I have it
in my morals that I that I don't do it like that you know what I mean but you were but you were
drink you were drinking with us though yeah no look I was raised to drink with my family right
I was not right that's a drug too bro and do you drink coffee I don't drink coffee no and I barely drink
I drink only when I'm out at raves to be honest or at parties or at events
I'm just giving you shit for the record out to be sober be not sober just don't be a fuck either
way and and I think that everybody's fine yeah no no look I by the way fondue this is crazy I'm
starting to get used to people doing it in front of me like if if I was still in Dubai I'd still have
this this this very closed mind where I'd be like oh if someone smokes weed they're degenerate or
someone smokes weed they're depressed you know but now I'm like people aren't depressed and they
smoke weed people are successful and they smoke weed people do this and they smoke weed people do
this and they smoke mushroom there are there are also people who are depressed and smoke weed so like
it does go all the directions you know but yeah yeah welcome welcome to America bro where where we don't
give a fuck about that dude you do you exactly like y'all stay in your lane and I stay in mine I
don't do drugs y'all do it and that's fine if that helps you cooperate if that helps you become a better
person that's great I am a better person when I'm sober someone else can be a better person while
they're on weed that's that's life you know it's it it is how it is the the cool thing about mushrooms
is it's more about like an experience it's not really a drug that I don't know for I've heard of
people who like to do it all the time but to me that makes no sense because you have to like double
the dose every time you do it in subsequent days so like at a certain point you have like this crazy
amount that you'd have to take just to get the feeling from the lowest dose that you took um so
like it's not that kind of thing it's like if you've never I mean because you've you've never done
acid before right like you literally just just weeds and stuff so like it's it's entering a whole
other realm uh of existence as a human being on the planet I think that's important to do at least
once um me personally like I only take a real dose like once a year so if that makes you feel better
about like my mushroom use uh that that micro was the first one I had taken in six months and uh
yeah I mean generally it's like a once a year deal for me honestly that makes me feel 10 times better
because then I know that you're not you're not using it as a way of anything you know you're just
using it for a fun time and a specific event which is amazing and I was like all seriousness I'm being
serious that's awesome and that that kind of convinces me to you know try it out in the river I don't know
I'll think about it because oh look and here's the other side of it here's here's the other side
right so there's two different there's two different pieces to this so there's there's taking
mushrooms to have a good time and have like a trip which is usually like a one and a half gram dose or
higher depending on your tolerance depending on like how heavy you're trying to go but then like
micro dosing like the the whole discussion with that and Johns Hopkins University did a whole study on
this like two years ago I think and it's why like psilocybin is getting legalized in multiple states around
the country right now because it's actually been proven in a lab that it can help you regrow neurons
in your brain which was previously thought to not be possible and so like this is something where when
you have trauma the the reason people have bad trips is usually because you have some kind of trauma that
you didn't either didn't think about going into it or you just didn't care and you said no I'm going
to take this anyway and then you get to relive that live during the trip and so that's usually where
bad trips come from like it's it's just stuff in your head it's not it's not actually that like
there was anything wrong with the mushrooms the mushrooms did their job you just didn't like what
they did um and so like those are two different discussions but yeah like micro dosing you don't
experience like the crazy trip where like you're you know you're visually a little bit impaired um but
it's still like you could take a dose so low that you don't even feel it and it still helps your brain
regrow neurons and so like that's why in like the medical side of it you're going to see a lot of
this being applied to people with past traumas because it will help them navigate thinking
differently about it that's why it helps people with ptsd so much um you know anxiety uh depression
all those things like you can regrow these neurons and it helps you think differently because that's the
whole way your brain works is it like it makes these connections and over time like those connections
like you're just bombarded with the crap that you've dealt with your whole life and so if you
don't find other ways to get around it or get through it it just sits there and festers and for some people
that turns into these like debilitating you know mental diseases and disorders and so yeah i think you're
going to see psilocybin becoming like a major major treatment piece for people with these things
especially at low doses again we're not talking tripping level doses we are talking like medical
doses yeah i agree i agree i'm definitely going to make i'm definitely going to look into it deeper
and deeper before i ever make my decision uh because i i'm now this is getting more interesting to me in
a way where you know it's like something that i actually want to see or you know you know just want
to understand more i like that a lot i think it's awesome well well this this isn't getting your
wisdom teeth taken out so this this is something that you it would benefit it would behoove you to
do you know research about it know what you're getting yourself into if if there's anything about
it that you think you might not like either don't try it or you know do lower doses whatever the fuck
or you know uh when you're there don't make you don't have to make your decision now or even like
you can make a decision up until that point just go where the where the situation takes you if while
you're at the river you feel like oh i'm at the river i kind of want to be more you know lucid or
whatever the fuck you're thinking i don't want to take it or i do then you do or you don't
and don't worry just consider me your shaman felique i i will like whatever what i can literally
describe to you the things that you might want to experience and you can say uh no i don't want
to go to level four but like level one sounds cool like i got you because like i've i've had
friends who have who have had people tell them like oh no here just take two grams as your first dose
like you'll be fine and then of course they freak out because it's like that's an intent if you don't
know what to expect usually usually you have a rough time um me personally i i actually took a
pretty heavy dose the first time and had a great time so like i'm one of those people that sees the
other side of it but i know plenty who haven't so like i'm the person i'm like yo how about you try
like the dose that's barely going to affect you first and see how you feel because then you know
then then you can make a real decision where you're like oh okay yeah i'm curious what the next level
is or you could say no this was cool and you may you very well may say like hey this is this is for
me and that's that's all as far as i want to go and so i'm always the person that doesn't push
anybody yeah it's like getting your hair cut you can always get a little bit off but when you get
too much off there's no going back so take a little bit if you don't like it you don't take more if you
do you can't always take more one of my favorite moments was literally this guy that we we went
camping for his birthday and he told me like oh yeah i've done mushrooms before that i want to you
know i want to go take some out of you know out of this special camping spot that i'll take you guys
to and so i brought him a gift like i brought him a nice nice little bag and uh you know he didn't
want to weigh it out and find out what he was taking he was just like reaching in the bag and
eating them and i was like okay well this guy clearly knows what he's doing like he'll be fine
and like 40 minutes later he he's like he's he's decided well so he decided right away he was going
to bed and i was like no you're not going to bed bro you just you just ate enough to trip like you've
got six hours on the books like you're definitely not going to bed and he was insistent that he was
going to bed so he goes to bed and he comes up like 40 minutes later he goes guys i don't know
something's wrong and i go what do you mean something's wrong and he goes i don't know this is
something's not right like i think the mushrooms were bad and i just started fucking laughing so
hard i felt like such a dick but i couldn't stop laughing because like it was the light bulb that
went off in my head that i was like oh this guy thought he had tripped before and then took mushrooms
that i gave him which are stronger than he was probably used to and then tripped way harder than
he expected and so i'm just fucking cracking up because everybody's like don't worry man it'll be
over soon it'll be over soon and i'm like why are you telling him it's gonna be over soon it's gonna
be over in six hours like we just started like we are we are 40 minutes into this like he has five
hours and 20 minutes left of this and they're like dude stop telling him that i'm like yo i'm not gonna
lie to him and tell him it's gonna be over soon and then have to baby him for the next five hours like
no sorry dude strap in go go sit down somewhere and you'll be fine like we're you know we have plenty of
competent people around us no one was gonna get hurt you know it's like just chill and enjoy the vibe
and enjoy the visuals because it's gonna be it's gonna be a ride that's crazy bro for someone who's
yeah for someone who does that nah you're you're you're definitely like you know if it ever comes to
that to the point where i say yes i am definitely gonna ask you so many questions i'm gonna be like
fun okay what's this fun and i'm gonna ask you so many questions that you're actually gonna
that you're gonna i you're gonna you're gonna roll your eyes you're gonna tell me what the fuck
in your mind like this is how freaking careful i am but it's worth it because then like you said
the shaman is gonna is gonna give me the right amount for the right time right and um i'm hyped i'm
hyped for the river i'm i can't wait like you know all all that mushroom shit aside i'm hyped
to sing in the camp oh bro they're gonna felique they're gonna fucking love you bro like they're
gonna fucking love you we'll we only ever have two like two singers real well sometimes three but
usually it's like two singers on the guitar and we just swap back and forth because like you know
how people think that we're just machines and like we can just play all night and my buddy uh conrad
is definitely that guy like but you'll you'll notice with him like he mostly only remembers the
choruses and he and he just kind of like fumbles his way through the verses i'm more of like uh no
i gotta know what i'm saying like i'm not here to fuck these songs up because like this is this is my
career this is what i do um so like we have very different approaches and then we have this guy tito
who who also does it for a living so like he doesn't like to play as often because of that because
he plays gigs like three four days a week already um so like if he's on the trip though he'll
definitely play some but bro they're gonna love you like they they will for sure this group and
i'm telling you i can't even describe what this group is because it's like it's people that i grew
up with in high school that started this trip and we've all been going and for me this is gonna be
year like 13 or something 14 something ridiculous so like i've gone on this every year every year but
did i miss one year i think i missed one year in there yeah so wow but you know that's that's the
type of special that i want to get myself involved with and i'm and i can't wait to see them uh this
is gonna be sick you know what we should do fun we should have like a we should plan it out where
like me and you go on calls we should do it from like you know three months prior not now it's just
you know this is just something that we should think about and when i because you know i'm i'm still
you know improving on the guitar but but i feel like with the way you perform and the way you play
the guitar it's it would be amazing if for example you sing your songs um you you crush all of those
and then we could do like a tiny collab where you play the guitar and you can harmonize and i'm saying
oh i'm down i'm down bro i mean if you like i'll i'll be able to send you the covers that i'm doing
too and if there's any that you want to sing honestly the singing part is usually the toughest
part for me on this trip because like you know camping you're out you're not in like a room
that you know so it's like it's a it's always very hard on the voice and especially for me like
usually i've gone to ham the the first day like that you'll i mean you'll get to know me um you
know that's this i usually go too hard on the first day and i get all excited and i'm yelling too much
and that's the biggest thing is like i have to always stop myself from yelling because then my voice
is hoarse by the first night and then by the second night i can't even sing and so having another
singer like bro i'm down i can definitely i can definitely slam out some chords and we can uh
we can work some stuff but also what'll be cool for you is because a lot of these people
that are going to be on this trip are from kind of your surrounding area so like you know my buddy
conrad has a house in orlando you know so like he's in your area um you know a bunch really a bunch
of the people are like gainesville orlando area and then you have some people who are in
jacksonville which is just north so like you know you'll get to be introduced to some locals
you know that you you know who knows i mean maybe you know maybe you link up with them maybe you
don't either way it's a great group of people to go and float the river and camp with i can tell you
that 100 i'm already i'm already so excited um this is this is this is gonna be so sick man um
yeah uh you know i want to make sure that i also get some covers ready for this because with me
i like to just shoot the shit to be honest you know um and the more i shoot the shit the more i find it
as a way of a practice you know like if i shoot the shit too many times this one song that i sing on
spaces i technically practice that song too many times on spaces right and it becomes like a mastery
which is funny um i don't i don't practice like i don't practice at home like when i was singing
my only kin on stage i wasn't like okay i'm gonna send i'm gonna spend one hour in the house
and play that for a long time i'm i just that's not how i work right you know you know practicing
the guitar and getting better at that is different you know that's something that i have to do to get
better and that's what i'm doing but for a song like my only kin like my original i really
gotta just let it ride you know and um and yeah it just works and you know maybe i messed up once
and on stage when i was singing that song but everybody messes up everybody messes up on stage
that's very normal literally every artist messes up at least once in their concerts olivia rodrigo
for example this is a funny one she was singing uh she kept on but this is not really her it was more
of the venue itself uh she was singing and her earpiece which i still don't understand what it
is i think it's maybe just like a live uh backtrack so what it is what that is is it it is like a
karaoke it plays like a karaoke version of the song and it basically plays like it has the uh what is
it called the the the the metronome on it so it's like right before the song plays they're they're in
ears right so that that helps you stay on on uh uh like you don't go ahead you don't go too fast or
you don't like go behind all the words like it makes you stay and you say the lyrics where you need
to say the lyrics on time fair enough i understand that because when i was performing love in the
dark by adele with the speakers i kind of felt like i was rushing at some parts and i was not
rushing it i was slowing down on other parts but when i had that if i had that earpiece it would have
been much better and ears will save you but you also need some people hate them to run it
some people hate them for sure i actually brought in an ear setup to the show that day
and i didn't end up using it because it's like it's a whole other thing to set up um but like i i'm
i historically use in ears for all my shows rather than a floor monitor mostly just because i can hear
my vocals better and so like for me being able to hear that makes it so that i don't like over strain
when i'm singing and you know like because that's the whole thing about a live show right like you're
playing through a pa like all you have to do is turn the volume up on your vocals to make it better
for the people listening so like any ways that you can reduce that while still keeping kind of the
way you sing the songs um i'm all about but it's like then you know you've got the it's basically
the body pack but then you really need that it's the headphones that really make or break it you know
the little in-ear buds you can get some really expensive custom ones uh i'm i'm the king of using
the cheap shitty ones because they have good bass and so like i literally just go to the corner
store and buy some cheap like uh ear candy earbuds and throw them in and plug them into the body pack
yeah i i want them really bad because uh uh it's it's almost like you're it's it would make it would
feel more homey for me because that's how i record my vocals in general like i have the tracking thing
on my headphones that that play back my audio so i can hear what i'm supposed to be doing how i want
to like how i want my pitch to be so um man i'm gonna have to jump out of here but uh you know
you want to play another song because i i feel like i'd like to hear one more mana track yeah i can play
another song i actually was going to say i had to end the space uh uh really soon because apparently
there was a work uh party that i had to get to and that was a today apparently
but i will play the song that isn't out yet
and i hope you will enjoy it we will
get spotted going i know can't find me so bad keep on moving just keep on moving
get spotted going i know can't find me so bad keep on moving just keep on moving
my god your eyes are just like
I can't stop moving, cracking on the bottom of that wine, curling on by that fire, can't stop losing, you want my moving, yeah, like, baby, I know your face, I only wanna go real fast, I don't wanna move, can't tell that I don't wanna go, pretend I'm yours, you're mine, let's go, don't want a floor, let's run, I don't want to go,
I can't change life, it's decided for me, running out of time, I'm getting lonely, I'm the bad guy, what you're looking for, you can pray to God, oh, just look at you, get the powder on, I know, can't find me so bad, keep on moving, just keep on moving, get the powder on, I know, can't find me so bad, keep on moving, just keep on moving, get the powder on, I know,
I can't change life, it's decided for me, running out of time, I'm getting lonely, I'm the bad guy, what you're looking for, you're looking great, God, oh, just look at you.
I'm going to go
sense to that mix no really man it sounds so different on the space like i know we were
talking about how bad the spaces audio was i actually felt like that one came through really
clear on the spaces audio really yeah like i i could even hear the bass line underneath which
i'm never usually able to hear huh interesting i heard i already heard that in real life when
chilling in your hotel yeah i showed you all the stuff that i was uh i was working on yeah you bro
it sounds so good bro thank you i just don't know i don't i feel like there's more to do with it i'm
too scared to like like i don't want to fuck that release up like i want to make sure that
it's uh you know it's proper before i put it out whenever whenever you have an idea whenever the
idea comes to you do it because don't don't think about it too much if you do it's just gonna mess
with you oh it has been i just i feel like i'm just sitting on that fucking song i don't know what to
do with it the more you worry about it and the more you think about what you want to add the the worse
it's going to get it's actually going to stay to the point we're just going to be worried it's not
going to change right so when you just like not think about it and then something pops up in your
head that's it that's that's how at least i make better you know what i mean is that's how i add
more to my stuff it works out for differently for everybody but when i don't really think about
worrying to add something to a song that's already really good by the way man it's awesome um
then i could you know something's gonna pop in my head in the future and then it'd be like oh
that is something that i can add that's that a little bit of a tweak could be something that i can
add it'll be it'll be even better yeah it's a dope track man super dope um but all right man i'm gonna
hop out of here i will catch you later um let's do a more let's do another you know i mean hit me up
in the dms and let's let's plan another like like a listening party or a mint party closer to uh launch
day or something and uh because i a lot of people are gonna love this song bro not as dope
thank you yeah no i i want to do that
thank you for coming all of you and thank you to the people who stayed like well one you guys
bucky and uh boosh booch it's bosh it's bosh bosh he's a he's a he's a french rapper
one was uh i boshed his name yeah you did bosh his name um but uh french it's spelled bush
but it's bosh okay uh guys um i'm gonna go have a good one love you mana love you fawn love you
love you everybody bye oh bucky came up to fucking dakota came up to speak and we're all like
all right we're out of here see you i've been sitting here for like 20 minutes i heard man
i say he's ending it so i'm like i'm not even gonna bother
i'm getting ready to leave so i'm still like talking in between i didn't know you came i didn't
even notice that you came up to speaker i i honestly i was looking over i thought you were
still a listener fucking sneaky very sneaky oh well of course i'm muted i'll catch you guys next
time later yeah i mean feel free to talk a little bit if you want before i end it i was gonna say
like regarding on like wanting to add shit to a song that you're kind of stumped on
um i think it was louis ck that said it he's like don't let something sit on the tree too long
pick the fruit while it's ripe it's like sometimes you like sitting there and wanting to just do shit
forever will actually like cause the fruit to rot a little bit you know yeah like sometimes that like
initial idea is like the purest form of it and it's like it goes the same for doing like vocal takes and
shit sometimes i find sometimes like the first couple takes have the best energy like once you
do something like a thousand times you kind of like lose that spark a little bit and like vocal
takes i find sometimes like your first like two takes are like the best ones yeah well i think i sent
you it uh if you want to listen to it and get back to me on if you think it's done the which ones
you're talking about like the track i sent you the bars you sent me no uh the the song i just
played that's not out the one that you're talking about okay well you sent that over email uh no on
twitter i should have sent a son called like private one oh okay okay yeah i'll have to give it a look
lately got home from miami and have been dog sitting and running back and forth for like
three or four fucking days i haven't even sat down
damn oh and whenever we make b like whenever you make b to back and like like uh be around for like
when like you know they'll see if we fuck if i fuck with the sample and everything
and i'll adjust because like the one that you just sent i can work with it but the bpm is too slow for
yeah i just sent you a verse you're gonna laugh because i'm literally like half-timing that shit
it was it was uh yeah i was i was it was really hard to find that pocket
i mean the cadence that you had the double time shit was sick like it would kind of work out because
my verse is like super mellow and like you know like cassidy or like one of those rappers like benny
the butcher no it's in that cadence where it's like super mellow bars and then yours could be like
the double on like the the chopped up shit it would actually work out super good what i realized
was i sounded way way way way way too much like jid
i mean yeah he kind of owns that double time shit right now it's not a bad thing
not the double time shit but
yeah it was the cave
it was uh wait what did i do
wait wait hello are you there
yeah i was like uh no nothing is telling these people that i've been up in the up in the world
like that yeah it's the cadence of the high to the da da da da like that that's the jib thing for sure
i mean it's not a bad thing i just realized like wow okay
that that that's weird
i mean it's not necessarily a bad thing like it's not like you intentionally did it you're just more like
paying a homage or like kind of copying the style of it but it's not a bad thing
especially if it's like one or two bars i think it's not the worst you did it like the whole song
and be like okay yeah this guy's just trying to be jid but you do it like a couple bars it's not bad
um so i sent you
like my verse and shit for that
obviously not mixed or anything like that i just did it in a couple takes but
let me know if you want to like move forward with like the little hook part in there
manna is currently getting dressed up for a party trying to find a hot date if anyone would
like to comment on this could you say that again yeah wait could you repeat that i'm sorry
i was saying that you're getting ready for a hot date you emailed me the verse
i will give that a listen
yes sir what time do you have to go to this work party thing
but actually i'm late
yeah right now right now i'm shaving my beard
i can hear that um
