Those are very high words of praise.
But, you know, we're really just experimenting here. It's a free mint, of course, you know, all the all the blue chip collections
are eligible as well as clutch loyalists. And yeah, it's very much a experiment in DeFi to see
what happens when we kind of merge a little bit of DeFi product with NFT product and seeing how that happens when there's
a token attached, there's a free mint, and then we'll create links between that and the
Clutch Puppy's collection on ApeChain to see if we can, you know, grow the pie, increase
the audience level and improve liquidity flows on the chain.
So tell us a little bit about this.
What was the, you know, the inspiration behind this experiment tour?
What was something that you were seeing?
You know what? We don't have this right now and this could be a value add to the space.
Yeah, you know, for me, the biggest thing is that I think one of the main reasons that NFTs have struggled since 2021 is an inherent lack of liquidity.

You know, even if you look at some of the strongest collections in the space,
you know, you're talking about less than $100,000 worth of liquidity supporting collections
that have market caps, you know, in the 50 to 100 million range.
And that's difficult.
It becomes very difficult to sell people on the prospect of investing in these kind of assets
outside of, you know, the benefits of being part of that community.
And so this build is focused on that.
The anvil itself is very much focused on providing more productional value to NFTs and then having
like a core DeFi suite attached to them.
And given, you know, that they work through the fractionalized asset that is a token as
well, that deepens the liquidity a lot.
So you're no longer dependent on
regular floor bids for NFT collections. You also have a full token that is way deeper and way more
liquid supporting that floor as well. And then also, you know, with a new launch, we get to
experiment with that today in that perhaps some of the eyes attached to this free mint won't be
people coming to speculate on the NFT, but it't be people coming to speculate on the nft but it
might be people coming to speculate on the token so i'm interested to see how it goes so you mentioned
a lot of different projects kind of being involved right different nft projects on the whitelist like
how you know i like to use the fisters as an example because it's something that we you know
that i have that that we've got here how do these
projects kind of get involved with what you're with what you're cooking up yes so the the launch
of of the pixel pups shortly after uh within 24 hours you're also going to have the launch of the
anvil uh so the anvil is going to be live on eth mainnet for the pixel pups but the anvil will also
be available on ape chain for any ape chain communities that want to come through and use it.
And so I'm looking at the deployment page right now.
That'll be on the website so that you can come through or any NFT founder.
And you essentially click create.
And then you see the create a market section.
Here you input the contract address of your NFT collection.
Or if you have multiple NFT collections, your token can support more than one collection.
You put in your token name, your token symbol,
and then the logos of your token,
and of course, all of your social information for your collection.
Then you're going to put how many tokens correspond to each NFT,
and then it'll do the math for you and give you your total token supply.
After you do that, you'll pay the gas,
and you'll get fully deployed, fully verified
contracts for all of the functionalities for your NFT collection. So at launch, you'll get
swapping between NFT and the tokens, both swapping just the next available NFT or being able to
snipe one directly from the pool. You'll be able to set the fee that corresponds to those swaps.
Those fees get forwarded to a staking pool.
And so then your users can stake their NFTs to get a piece of those fees.
Also, 5% of the supplies is reserved for token lending,
where users can deposit their NFT from one day to 365 days to borrow tokens.
And, you know, they have to pay that back.
If they don't pay that back, a community member actually is offered a bounty to liquidate their loan after the grace period expires, essentially. If that loan is liquidated,
that NFT goes into the main pool. The third piece is, of course, the staking, where the users can
not only see the collection, this collection, but on their dashboard portfolio page, they can see
all of the Anvil activated collections and then start collecting their revenue from all of these staking sources.
And then the last piece, which I think is the coolest proprietary piece that we worked on,
is the governance aspect. And so community members stake tokens and people who have staked
enough tokens can actually pay like a fee, whatever you set the fee at, to submit governance proposals. And then the people who are staking the tokens vote yes or no to decide what
the fees are going to be for swapping and borrowing. And so then you've got a lot of,
you know, community engagement within one DeFi hub, you get fully verified, fully safe contracts,
everything's on chain. So then you can also, you know, fork that over to meet, be available, not only via the
Anvil website, but then you can also, you know, put it on your own NFT collections
website if you choose to.

When you say like the one thing I'm interested in first that struck that like, kind of like
peaked my, my ears, my ear holes, the bounty for these kind of like peaked my ears, my ear holes,
the bounty for these kind of like liquidations.
So basically you can see an NFT that you like and you can kind of cover for that loan.

No, what you're doing is actually...
Yeah, because this is all on-chain
and there's no bots running in the background or APIs,
the liquidation within the smart contract actually has to be triggered.
And so that trigger can only be pulled by somebody who's a token holder
and somebody who's participating in that collection,
and they get a bounty for triggering that.
So it kind of incentivizes you to come and check.
It's like, oh man, hey, somebody hasn't paid back their loan.
Can I come through and trigger it?
And then you earn X amount of that NFT's corresponding token.

the human element of meeting different human beings in the space and connecting and collecting
and all that bit. The defy I've always been just a bit on the more rookie side as I'm more
community based. What, how do you think like, you know, for noobs in the DeFi space,
there's people who are kind of like,
they see some of these terms and they're like,
oh, what is this here?
Do you think this is geared for beginners?
Do you think it'll be easy for people
who are not necessarily deep in the DeFi world
to jump in and take part of the anvil?
Oh yeah, absolutely.
Especially if collection founders come through
and deploy their own, you know, AMM
for essentially their own fractionalized token
DeFi suite for their collection.
It's very easy to participate in the swapping
and the staking and the lending and the governance.
Everything is super streamlined on the website.
You know, NFT AMMs have existed for a really long time.
Like, this is not the first example of an NFT AMM, but this is using like really unique features that have
been implemented before. There hasn't been one that essentially gives you your own contracts
and then allows you to verify them, allows you to give your community governance. And I think
in the way I've built it, it's really easy to understand. And so once you go through the website flow, I think you'll find a lot simpler.
I mean, you'll be able to do so with PixelPups today and then with ClutchPuppies shortly thereafter.
So then you'll be able to test that process yourself.
You know, for me, it's kind of about, and this is what Web3 building, I think, is all about,
is experimenting and iterating and improving on the products we have.
And hopefully hopefully you know
creating new economic loops for nfts that haven't existed before uh kind of just allowing us to tap
into that different audience because it's it's tough i think it's it's a tough market and rather
than sit back and complain you know i'm looking for solutions interesting grateful what are your
thoughts on this here are you just you're just hanging out i always like to to call on uh to call on the students here in the class uh bro i'm also new being this but uh
the best way to learn is actually to try it right so get your get your nft go to the platform check
it out and that's probably the best way um you know how to learn how it works and what it can do.
Well, then that will start today.
So the platform opens up today or is it just a mint today?
Yeah, after the mint completes and once the reveal goes live,
at that point, the platform will go live as well.
And so the first 55 NFTs, we don't have a treasury,
but they're reserved for the anvil. So those 55 NFTs go into the anvil.
What we'll do is we'll take those tokens that we get for the 55 NFTs,
we deploy them into Uniswap.
So then the token is buyable via Uniswap,
but the token itself is a direct extension of the NFT.
So the price action of the token and the NFT will influence one another.
And so you'll have the option to enter or exit via either path. Okay, very nice. And the Mint today is for the Pixel Pups, right? It's an
extension of the Clutch Puppies. Some people are eligible for a free Mint. How are people
get a free mint here. So like, am I eligible? Five, 10 clutch puppies?

Yeah, you should definitely be on there. The first round requirements were trading on,
you know, our purpose platform, which is up to like 1.25 million in volume right now. Something

on ETH mainnet as well. So if I haven't traded on purpose, but I hold clutch puppies, I don't get a

thinking about work stuff and crypto stuff and i'm thinking about like then how it's the same thing
how do we create incentivization layers in nfts to incentivize you know either staking or holding
or buying those nfts or on an even level, which is why I like collections that are going to look into like a decentralized model of revenue
share, like what Ernest and Aaron are working on, is that if your community members share
in your royalties, they're incentivized to onboard people.
And then anybody who offboards is actually just benefiting the royalty pool as well.
It's like, what if you held like 10 NFT collections?
And so, and then you went into the Anvil or you went into, you know,
Ernest Aaron's Divit platform.
And you saw all of your collections and how much revenue they're generating for you.
And you're like, oh, I'm getting five bucks here, two, three bucks here.
Maybe it's not huge amounts.
But then personally, like I would think in the back of my head, it's like, wow,
man, maybe I can onboard a couple people.
Like, and if I can do that and 20 other people in the community can do that, we're creating
economic loops that benefit us long term.
And we're no longer just thinking about like, okay, raise the floor price.
It's more like, well, let's just have good volume, right?
Let's have more people coming in the door.
And then obviously that makes everything else I think easier in terms of the stuff we develop.
And it's just trying to create win-win situations for everybody. That's how we win and we move
forward. When the platform is winning, the users are winning, but there still needs to be that
group of users who are, money has to come from somewhere. So there needs to be something worth
purchasing and holding for not financial reasons, for consuming just to consume which is always going to be a
tough thing for people especially in this space we're in 2026 now um grateful i think shared this
before we're now over half a decade since the the bull since like the crazy bull since the ape run right which is crazy bro half a deck over half a decade
so minting something i mean yes we all remember the times where we would sit at a computer
we would be able to get into a mint and then sell it right away i can speak for other people there
because i'm like oh i got this one early as a gift i need to hold on to it um should have sold but you know it's gonna easily
2x 3x and it's kind of can keep building up bankroll for just a lot of just vaporware right
and those days are over right the days of buying things for the immediate flip people will still try and do so and again if
projects price their stuff and they under price the true value of it the market will find its
its true value but people have to find different ways right and different incentives and if those
incentives the only reason they were there were to make a quick buck, maybe this isn't the space right now too.
But maybe this is also the time where, hey, things are down, volume is down.
Buy some stuff you like.
If you still like them for the same reasons and there's better prices and you still think that, one, it brings you joy in collecting certain assets, go for it. Life is too short. If it
brings you joy, just go for it. And if you still believe in the space long-term, if you believe in
certain projects, whatever, you think it's a good time and a good deal, and you're not looking for
an immediate flip for the next day, then they could still have a chance, you know, who knows,
but people are going to want to make money in this space.
And those money opportunities have been dwindling.
So simple.
What would you say the number one reason is to mint these pups today?
You know, I made a point of it for it to be free.
I think it's a good example of, you know, how things can work well
if they're decentralized instead of kind of without gatekeeping.
Kind of maybe show an example that not all mints need to raise

But he's been building the 8102 game for four plus years.
It's one of the official games of the Gaming Apes show.
We love Siibu andheir and all they do for
the community what have you got for us yeah um we we keep building no the the factory is humming so
um you know blueprint holders they are you know pumping out um mods and gear items and doing supply runs and yeah we we just launched a few improvements yesterday
so there's it became a bit easier and faster to claim all this stuff with some you know
batch minting and and a few other improvements and yeah we will probably do another mission
very soon and at the end of it we will launch our next feature that's gonna be crafting upgrades.
So instead of just crafting a level 1 item, you will be able to directly craft a higher level item.
And yeah, these crafting upgrades, they already exist.
And everyone that's burning a tier eight resource,
that's like the highest resource NFT we have.

I had a very, I guess, off topictopic question for the Gaming Ape Show,
but kind of on topic.
We've been here long enough, LL.

Did anyone catch that this pudgy, the main pudgy game they've been working on dropped i guess last week
the week before maybe um i know they had been working on that like iteration for a while it's
supposed to be like big news beta alpha whatever it's in now um i haven't played it i played the
little one like six eight months ago to kind of just see what they were building
i'm just curious if they've had any traction or if months ago to kind of just see what they were building.
I'm just curious if they've had any traction or if it was just kind of a flop, only the community's playing or if it's streaming on, you know, number one on Apple Store or anything like that.
Just kind of curious about the gaming world side of things as connected to Web3, you know.
When you say the little one, are you talking about like like, Pudgy Party or Pudgy World?

the community playing and supporting it right now,
which is typically the case.
It's got some Club Penguin vibes, which is cool.
I'm pretty sure it's an open world game.

I wanted to test it out, give you kind of an opinion.
But it is open world.
There's like 10 or so different areas you could go walk around.
There's a few game modes.
There's a level-up system.
There's you slide around, you play mini-games, you get some achievements.
For me, I saw it as Club Penguin, like you were saying, Squiddy.
But it kind of lasted for me like maybe five days of
enjoyment and then it became a grind and then you had to like level grind to get uh rewards at every
level and then the rewards were just kind of like minor rewards at the end of the day so it kind of
didn't feel worth it to to rank up even though i did rank up pretty high just kind of grinded through
it just to see what happens the fishing game up pretty high just kind of grinded through it just
to see what happens the fishing game was pretty addictive and the game modes are very addictive
in it it's just very community driven right now uh and it didn't seem like it had longevity
uh involved it seemed like they proliferated the last one way more, and it was kind of, you know, you're seeing it everywhere.
I'm a little confused by the fact that you see it drop
and then there's no continued, you know, push.
Maybe I'm just in my own ape bubble.
Yeah, and it's tough because, you know,
in order for these games to scale, it's not going to be on Twitter.

And this pudgy world is not just competing with Web3 games.
There's not too many Web3 games, quote-unquote, being launching right now.
But you're competing against every single game.

kind of what that is.

It has people a bit on the fence, but it looks like a good mix between Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed, and, like, I guess, Zelda.
Like, the last kind of big open- zelda games and i've seen some of
the videos looks pretty dope um but it's got people a bit split because it's a bit complicated
to play and there's a lot of mechanics and stuff but um yeah it looks good looks good man
is it on console is it on pc yeah Yeah, everything. Yeah, everything.

Once I started working in the video game industry, I started playing a lot less games myself.
For whatever reason.
Is it because, and that's, that's a good question.
That's an interesting question. Cause like, I, I think about this all the time.
Is it because you've seen behind the curtain? You know how they're made.
You're looking at the graphics and at the, yeah.
Yes. 100%. That definitely plays a role in it.
And also like the user acquisition element which again
obviously incredibly important um and you know once it became the industry and became a job it
became less fun to like play games and i was already spending more time in front of a computer
i would want to like touch grass more often you know yeah um so it's it was an interesting dilemma i don't think i'm
gonna work in the gaming space anymore i think that my time there is done uh we shall we shall
see i've had some unbelievable experiences i've worked on some great games. The market's just tough out there.
When it comes to like, I'm very, you know,
I've worked on some big time games and some big time game studios, right?
I was at Jam City, which is, you know,
the first game studio I was at.
We did Champions Ascension,
but they were like a renowned mobile gaming studio
by the MySpace guys.
I got to, again, I to uh work with caldy shout out to caldy
what is dead may never die i don't know if that's the right term he's not dead uh he's he's doing
his thing we love caldy the godfather of the gaming game show got to work with him and you
know see behind the curtain with his mobile studio and ua games we got to launch
you know got to launch dookie dash and some other great games with the ua platform uh with mythical
games um seeing just like what goes on behind the curtain and it's tough to find something i don't
i'm not this i don't think i'm a founder right, we got the fun fisters and whatnot.
I'm a perfect number two guy.
Who does number two work for?
To quote the great Austin Powers, I'm a vibes guy.
I'm a relationship guy.
You don't want me making these big decisions.
You want me advising the decisions and kind of giving my thoughts and my feedback there.
But I'm not the one making the decisions to make money.
That's not how my brain is operated. My brain is operated with connecting with human beings.
When it comes to like partners and clients, making sure that they're happy and having their needs met and whatnot, that's what I do best. And it's tough. It's just tough. It's just a tough space.
I've learned so much. It would be a bit of a shame to kind of give that up,
but I'm not going to like get a job in gaming just to get a job in gaming.
Like it's going to have to be with a founder and a team that I,
I truly believe in this time, not just to collect a paycheck.
And yeah, something where it kind of like aligns with my skills.
I've had some great experiences and I've had some not great experiences,
you know, all experiences I'm able to learn from.
Right.
But it's just been it's been rough, man.
It's a rough space to work for, especially when you're not calling the shots.
And if you get kind of like pigeonholed into a spot where, you know.
Where you're at in six months, it's not necessarily what you signed up for, what you thought you were going to be able to do at the certain organization.
And that makes it tough when you just kind of like the passion comes out of it
and you're saying like, okay, this kind of goes against my own moral code in certain things.
So all these games, they're fighting for your eyeballs, right?
They're fighting for your eyeballs on the screen.
And everything you do is measured and tracked.
And they say, okay, you fall in this bucket.
How can we get this bucket to spend even more time on our game?
And I get that it's needed, right?
I also get and appreciate great games.
I want great games to continue to be made.
I would love to see more great games continue to utilize blockchain when it comes to asset
ownership. If I'm spending my most valuable asset, my time in a game, I want to have the
right to exit. I want to be able to, if I build something that someone else finds valuable,
I want to be able to sell that and be rewarded for my time,
right? Or not take a zero for all the time that I'm spending in there and not just chalk it up to entertainment value. I think people are being a lot more conscious with how they spend their
time there. And I also believe that we're never going to get back to the highs of gaming, which
was during COVID when the entire world was inside and not really having anything else to do.
I still think that there's room for
growth in the industry, and I'm by no means a hater, but I don't think it's crazy to say we'll
never get back to those highs because, God forbid, there's never another global pandemic
that forces the entire world population inside. Anyone got any thoughts there
only gas prices can force us inside bro oh my gosh i just drove i did i just drove for 23
straight not straight hours i did 10 like 11 hours there 11 back i'm no math major there
were some stops in between i did stop at some Adidas outlet stores on my way back.

kind of creating the games you want to see and like you can just kind of uh you know create the
the kind of community and cultural infrastructure around that can you say that again i'm sorry no worries no worries bro no worries bro must be the
canadian accent um i was saying like aside from like all the like the eight like the fear around
like the agents ai agents and all that stuff and it being kind of a scary time are you kind of also
excited about the fact that maybe because you have that kind of, your
skills are that community, that cultural kind of guy, right?
Like in these gaming and the relationship builder and all that stuff.
So if games are going to be easier to make soon, and that tech is still kind of getting
itself sorted out, you could be part is still kind of getting itself sorted out
you could be part of these like kind of new smaller teams that can just kind of
you know not be corporate-ish and all that that comes with it you can have small
you know fast teams that can kind of put some fun experiences together then your skills will shine in that kind of environment that that does excite me a little bit i think that's a great point i think that's a great point i appreciate you bringing that up
um well time will tell if i meet the right founder if the timing lines up um it is going to give more
people the opportunity to make some more cooler games but you're still going to have to like pay
and build foundations in these certain areas um so who knows you know i'm gonna keep the eyes open i'm not gonna fully say like i'm out
of working in the gaming space the right opportunity comes along and if i'm available
definitely going to do so i'm taking a bit of a sabbatical this summer
just to like vibe out and kind of get my shit in order i've been going
non-stop for the last like four something years in the gaming space here so really just being able
to step back focus on myself spend the money that i've saved and then once i'm back down to zero
get back to get back to work get back to work no we got an exciting summer here with the world cup
and everything and just gonna just gonna get out and about a little bit and really just take the time on myself.
Try and get in better shape, work on eating healthier.
And supporting the peeps around me.

we'll be taking that into Bathroom Blitz.
But we're going to do things a little bit differently.
We're not just going to shuttle people into shooting games.

This is going to be something for you.

we're gonna be doing some some very kind of new some new ways to kind of get
people engaged there's some really cool interesting things that the bathroom
but it's especially the lobby that's a little bit of a hint the lobby that you
load into has some really cool things about it that I don't think you'll see in gaming right now.
So we want to take advantage of that and show people some really cool things.
And I think people are going to have a lot of fun. We're still going to do some shooting at the very
end, but there's going to be some games within games that you'll be able to play so if you don't like shooting um that's something that you know
we'll we'll have uh there'll be something for you to enjoy even in the shooting arena all right um
love the game lastly yeah exactly yeah so you don't have to be good at shooting there's gonna
be other things for you to compete for right like even
inside the shooting lobby that's like if that makes any sense that one because i am not good
at shooting games yeah me neither i'm not really that good and like some people really locked it
down like there's like five or five to ten players are just like wildly better than than everybody
else so just kind of makes it a bit boring to kind of go into those lobbies, but you know, they can compete for the top spot on like, let's say kill death,
but you can do some other kind of cool games, right.
For the people that are just, you know,
they're just not going to try to compete at that, at that level. Right.
But they can still win prizes by doing some other cool things, right.
Some like UGC stuff.

at that gaming arena in Las Vegas, just getting

What are some things that you've been seeing that have led to this, I guess call it a bit of a collapse in space?
Well, I mean, primarily terrible games.
So there were so many teams that got funded that should never have been funded.
And that kind of led the rest of the space astray.
There were plenty of like really awesome NFT projects
who didn't know anyone in gaming to help them out
and help them build their games.
So the first attempts were often with people
who were not good at it.
And this cost a lot of people a lot of money.
I've seen teams get scammed.
I've seen teams get hacked
and lose access to their code base for the games.
I've seen teams spend hundreds of thousands of dollars
on outsourcing something
only to get none of the code ownable at the end of it.
And the games produced look worse than, say, a three-week-old student project.
I mean, it's been crazy.
I mean, a lot of teams took a lot of money and built in the wrong direction,
didn't study any of the games out there, didn't study competitors.
I've seen many a games company person in Web3 say that they actively don't play games
or don't even particularly like games,
which is incredibly rare to find. Like someone in Gen Z or so who doesn't actually like games,
it's like super fucking rare. And then for that person to end up running a games company.
I think there were too many cases of that sort of thing. And of course, like if you acquire a
bunch of users, if you do a bunch of advertising, get a bunch of goals to support your project
before you actually have a project,
then I think you're going to be naturally in trouble.
So a lot of people should have spent more time building.
Those days are done.
Those days should have never been the case.

And I think that left a stain.
A lot of people don't want to go into it
because it had a bad enough rep.
Anyway, crypto back in the day,
now crypto's rep's improving.
Still haven't seen anyone make a success.
Like the average kind of, the top grossing mobile game earns more than the entirety of the Solana Foundation.
And they have like, you know, like liquid.
And that's just like, I get one game.
No, I do not. No, I do not.
I guess, listen, I do not disagree, man.
And a lot of people just took advantage of a lot of peeps in here and rode the wave.
And there were no repercussions, right?
But there's just been a massive stain in the space.
A lot of people that like I know I've come across, I recognize we're kind of like bad apples in the beginning.
They were still being able to get given checks and creating stuff
there too. And it's just been, it's been tough to watch.
It's been tough to watch, but we've been in the own, in,
in our own lane here. And, you know, it's,
it's just fascinating to see how the space kind of continues to develop and
how some of these grifters are making their next move and almost got to hand it to them because they're still gonna they're still gonna find a way
they've got a special they've got a special skill um in that regard if some people spend more time
actually applying their charisma from grifting to actually you know making deadlocks and getting
people behind them um it would be fantastic. Like, I genuinely think, like,
it was very, very difficult for the apes
to build what they wanted to build.
And personally, if I was them,
wouldn't necessarily make the partnerships
that they made at the time.
I'd have just opened a bunch of tiki bars
all over the world and only let you in
if you had a monkey.
But that's just me.
I think that, you know, what they're learning
and how they're doing, how they're not giving up,
actually gives me a lot of faith.
Because so many NFT projects or others would have jacked in.
You've seen, like, so many projects, give it a try and fail.
I mean, look at Goblin Town.
Their games actually look fun.
Like, everyone gave them shit about it.
Everyone gave them shit about how, you know,
they launched with such a gimmick.
Actually, the games don't look
half bad. And you know,
it's better than the normal kind of
project that just comes out and picks a game
that people were playing like 12 years ago
on mobile. It says, hey, we're going to do
this game. We spend
30 times as much to do it.
And we're going to do a bunch of NFTs before we even
break ground. I think that was
a really tough sell after so many failures.
