uh yes hi can you hear me yes okay um i think we're on time um i guess people will join in as we go
along and also the call is being recorded so how about i start lucky are you ready there
i am okay so gangster verse ama second ama hello everyone uh welcome to gangster verse second ama
um it's it's been quite a while since we did the last ama we definitely wanted to do more but we
got occupied in other things and we could not we could not host this as frequently as we as we
promised but but now we're here and we have a lot of things to discuss and yeah a lot of things to
share and a lot of things to answer from the community so it's it's been a it's been a while
here a lot of things that we did a lot of things that we tried a lot of things that we we tried to
do uh maybe lucky you want to give a brief rundown of what we went through
yeah sure uh thank you don solar uh so like like you mentioned that uh so we will try to have more
amas in the future so we do communicate frequently on twitter and a discord and whenever someone asks
ask questions we make sure we try to answer them on on discord but right now we need to have these amas
more frequently to answer questions to answer any confusion that the community has uh so definitely
these kind of uh initiatives so it's much necessary in the future so i mean to start let's do a recap
on what we did in 2023 because it's almost end of the year i mean can't can't believe that time flies
so fast so i can just looking at how what we achieved in 2023 and also versus 2022 and what we want to
achieve in 2024 it's amazing to see where we are so so let's uh go step by step so 2022 i think i mentioned
that it was the year of growth and pain so last to last year because we launched several stuff several
things two years ago or two years back is their emerald city we do we did crown we did golden keys
stories bank dow illustration um that's the fact that we started as a digital collectible
but and we expanded to more than a digital collectible in 2022 was a big achievement for us
i was going through the announcement i saw and i i read that in 2022 2022 was a year for growth and pain
pain because of the the beer cycle and different hacks that happened but uh 2023 the the the the pain
still continued because it was a it was a very like long winter finally we see something and the whole
market coming slowly up in 2024 hopefully we can see like the sunlight next year uh so 2023 after 2022
we said that 2023 would be the year for challenge and expansion uh just because expansion because we
want we wanted to expand beyond icon uh i think there has been a growing concern from the community
saying that hey we we are leaving icon but we've never said that we always want icon to be our hub hence
we are putting gangster versus like and the central hub as icon especially with crown especially with gang
wars everything that we do right now uh is going to start from icon but as you know that icon is
still still and the community is still small compared to other evm chains and liquidity is uh
low compared to other bigger evm chains our ex our idea has always been expansion
to other chains and bring in people liquidity from uh from and from from from other chains to icon hence
expansion was the key and i'm so proud of the team that we achieved that finally after a lot of challenges
um so just a month or so back we launched gang wars on icon on on base base because uh the i mean it
it it does promise to have a lot of users especially from the support from coinbase and
uh other partners so there was a big launch plan they had this on-chain summer and then we saw the
the interest and excitement over the chain so we were quite excited to launch on base 2024 is going to
be expansion more expansion and partnerships on base um so we're proud of our expansion uh just from
one chain to other chain so it's the first step towards going multi-chain so that that was a
there was an exciting time and challenges because gangsterverse has so many components right now
um i mean you can start from just the nfts nfts being digital collectible gbait token we have crown
we have um like stories for nfts then we have the whole game gangsterverse ecosystem with new
mini games coming up um we have civilian civilian journeys civilian uh riots so many exciting stuff
coming up so definitely a lot of challenges to bring everything together and now we have an extra
component to add which is multi-chain meaning that there has to be some relationship or uh connection
between different chains so that that was a challenge we expected in 2023 and and we will be working on
that on 2024 as well so a lot of things we did in 2023 uh like the expansion to gang war was the
biggest and i will talk about why that is so important for us in the future um aside from that we did
uh like land reveal we did illustrations uh on on gangsterverse icon and gang war in general again like gang war
was released in 2023 so this year so we'll be expanding more on that next year so a very proud moment for
the team for the community and for the support that we have had was launching gang war like the two games
two independent games two independent games on two chains and this is exciting exciting exciting about that
right so
don solar yeah most definitely i mean uh i joined in kind of one third of the journey you mentioned so far
like initially i joined it around uh before pre-gang war era i would say and even since then it has been
quite a journey so definitely it's it's come a long way and the thing is we're adding more and more and
more to the ecosystem and yeah it's it's it's it's been it's been quite all right so uh i see a lot of
people have joined um so once again to the new ones here welcome to the ama this is don solar along with
lady irene and lucky uh to begin with we're going to be as answering some questions that we have
received from the community uh by our form that we sent out and after that we'll also be speaking to
some of the uh community members who are interested to speak so starting with uh we have quite a few
questions that we have uh received from the community members so uh one of the one of the
most recurring question is of course regarding our latest update uh base gang wars and uh how is it
going and what's the marketing plan for that so uh regarding base gang wars the we we are definitely
we have definitely tried a lot in marketing and we are we are looking for more partnerships with
different different other groups and different other companies so that we can expand and get more eyes
on gang wars on base so to say so uh as you can see we have a lot of partners if you have been
following the twitter then there are a lot of different partners that we are partnering with
uh we're trying new ideas like with giving away uh the huge amount of cash giving away some giving
away special loot crates and all those stuff and along with game as the game develops there will be more
more more assets for us to capitalize and to give away to the community uh in order to bring more
people in um but yeah uh the release on base that's quite that's the most recent thing and a question
that i see right here is uh regarding the launch on base uh what did we want out of the launch on base and
did it meet meet up to our expectations and what uh was it was it what we were looking for
um lucky do you want to answer that question like why was this venture necessary for us
yeah sure um so i can start with uh why we decided to pick base and why this is so important
i mean icon did provide us provide us a very strong foundation because the community is very strong
we did a lot of partnerships within icon especially with projects like balanced home craft uh so we do
have the uh depth in icon the community has been very supportive and since we are i think one of the
first nft projects in icon i still remember the time when some i mean a lot of the people in icon
bought their first nft uh not just nft in icon but first nft uh as gangster bet so that created a lot of
uh like uh uh trust within icon and and we did we did follow up on our promises by building more
not just launching an nft project and and calling it calling it a day we expanded a lot so we do have a
very strong following and strong community support from icon but uh again icon has been uh like
amazing but we it was limiting as well so we decided to go multi-chain uh where there are more users uh
so that there's always a symbiotic relationship between the icon and other chain and icons promise
is also uh being the hub with btp connecting different chains so it just aligned with what
icon wanted to do and what we wanted to become hence we uh decided to launch gang wars on base
uh last year because base was an up up and coming l2 supported by coinbase a lot of marketing push and
also we do know uh we have we have a strong relationship with the the core team foundation
and that also provided an extra uh bit of uh like uh support right so launching gang wars on base was
very critical for expansion of gangster verse uh and in general gamefi gamefi ecosystem i would say
because right now what the potential for x potential on base is a lot of partnerships since base is pretty
new i mean it it has it was probably launched like two three months ago or around that time so it's a
very new chain it's still trying to figure out a lot of new projects are trying to launch or have
launched on base so it brings up a new new kind of challenge on icon since icon blockchain was kind
established when you launched uh it did possess a new i mean a challenge to establish the nft community
or nft ecosystem in in icon but in base uh right now since everything is new uh there's a whole wide
uh channel form of challenges on base but that also presents us an opportunity to become one of the
first i mean become the top nft or the top games on base so right now our our goal is to uh talk with
as many people as possible on base and within the optimism stack or or and or evm chains and then
bring them on on base bring them with within the gangster verse ecosystem and work together with them
so one challenge that we always faced uh when we were only on icon is that when we talked to
talk about partnerships they did they were not aware of icon and it was it was very hard for them
to partner with us because uh building on icon required like knowledge of java python back then
so it was not an easy transition but right now uh even if they are not on base they are they are
they are present on some evm chain like polygon ethereum like bring them bringing them on base is easy
just because of uh the the the the the programming language so partnerships is extremely important
for us so we are in talk with a lot of um tooling partners infrastructure partners uh game studios to
within base uh or outside base uh to have to have them launch something with with us on on gangware so
a lot of the things are in works and we will present more in 2024 uh like so that's a critical piece
for marketing for us because game 5 is a very new field right now marketing is not uh like it's not
straightforward i mean you can of course buy ads and do all the traditional kind of marketing but
we we do believe it's a very short-term approach it is important to bring in more users but right
now it has we need to have the depth uh and and we also need to be ready gang wars is still in alpha
i mean there's a lot of friction that we need to work on especially on the game on the platform on the
experience so we are constantly working on that and and once we believe that okay this is something
that uh a lot of users can easily easily play and a lot of users can easily on board uh so when i say
a lot of users like tens of thousands of users and and and and building on evm or base is important
because the friction the tooling partners infrastructure partners we can do a lot of uh collaborations with
them so just to just to summarize partnerships uh marketing uh collaboration is key for our success
uh for base for gangsta verse and also when i say gangsta verse it's icon base and the overall uh ecosystem
yeah i mean definitely um bringing more people to base gang wars is bringing more people to gangsta
it's as easy as that and yeah uh you also uh touched a brief touched briefly on uh the the limitations
we had over at icon and yeah that that's also definitely a thing that we we have considered and
the reason for moving to base uh but also uh icon has been it it's like our roots and uh all the
different blockchains that we go to those are more like branches and definitely you have to water the
roots to get the branches that's that's a bit of philosophy for you from from from games solar here
uh anyway the next question was regarding that that's why i brought that up so the next question
that we got was uh way back we talked about uh way back when emerald city was still in its infancy
uh like it was still being built uh there was this talk about sapphire city which will which would be
which would be on polygon back then um but uh the question is regarding where are we still sticking
with that or is there any changes with that so um to answer that question uh
uh looking at the general overall landscape of uh the web3 space uh back then and now uh
a lot of different new chains have come up a lot of different chains with new ideas and new
implementations which can which which which are more favorable than polygon so sapphire city is
definitely going to happen sometime in the future but we cannot guarantee that it's definitely going to be on
polygon i know that we promised back then but i hope uh it's quite understandable regarding the new
opportunities that shows up so um sapphire city definitely happening but not on polygon most probably um
so yeah that's that's that um going through the questions here um there is a sort of a nice question
uh regarding the the current state of gang wars over at base uh regarding how the profits are
distributed so the question is how is the distribution of profits uh the 80 percent thing that we shared
structured uh i think we should go into much more detail regarding that uh lady irene could you
could you take over with this one yeah sure um hello very soon everyone so talking about the uh the
distribution of i don't know if it's called profits but then uh as you guys may be aware that there are
certain participation fees for each games so some of the games are they are free to join while the others
have a certain participation fee right so these participation fee are collected and it goes to a
participation fee pool uh from which 80 percent is given to the uh the the winner team right so the
team that wins the game gets 80 of the fee while the 10 is given to the stakers pool that means uh the
the the stakers here at icon who have staked their gangsta bet nfts to produce uh gangsta bet
characters on base like they get a share of 10 percent and then the remaining 10 percent goes to a fund
where we are uh kind of uh using it for hosting these games so right now what we've observed is uh even
hosting the games are quite expensive so we're trying to uh figure out a way to separate
a specific fee for now we're just uh using the 10 percent from the same pool so that's how the
division of the participation fee pool is done right now
yeah so uh basically the the uh for the first month of base gang wars we are uh we have this unique
uh distribution of the the winners pool uh i would not say profit but the winners pool um you can also
definitely uh read more about that in the articles that we have shared um maybe yeah so as so sorry so
solarman mentioned that we are not taking any platform fee for at least the first month so we're trying to
give more to the winning pool yep so uh thank you irene um uh going through questions again the next
question is regarding the war master tokens um will the stakers of nft get war tokens or will this be
distributed this differently so uh the the question regarding war tokens the the plan for war tokens is
to allow the you the players to schedule match themselves right to decide when the match is going
to happen uh what are the conditions for for people to join the match and all those so um we definitely
want to give give give those tokens away to people who are interested in uh interested in playing the
gang war who understand the gang war more so uh the question here is regarding will the stakers get the
gang wars uh war master token but uh that definitely is not uh what we were thinking about distributing the
gang wars token it was more along the lines of uh the activity based uh based on the activities over at
icon gang wars and the community activities and some some community tasks that we were going to
going to ask for people to do uh in order to gain those tokens so yeah uh stakers are definitely not
in the picture but uh i think there's a there's a there's an intersection where the stakers and the
active members of the community so uh i don't think we'll be missing out on the people if we
don't take the stickers into account um so so just to go back right so i think the reason
what token was introduced is the the fees to people who would want to schedule wars and it's just not us
uh it is very different uh in icon versus uh base because in base there's there's no land there's no nfts
nfts as characters but in icon we have that flexibility and we have always said that the landowners would
eventually be able to uh like schedule games hence we wanted the same concept on base because we don't
want to be the one always scheduling games so that was the initial idea for war tokens it's i mean we
like don seller mentioned we did announce it we want to have it eventually in the future but right
now our our main focus is to expand the users to create more marketing to create partnerships and
since uh like doing a lot of things is gonna distract us uh and and and for now we we can schedule the
games ourselves meaning that the team can do it but eventually we want to like distribute that
responsibility or even the fees and rewards to the community right so that's where it comes from
yeah definitely um the whole thing about uh the landowners being able to schedule wars that's
definitely where it originated from um sorry i'm moving on from that uh we have a question regarding uh
civilians uh i know it's been a long time coming um the question is will a civilian game and mini game
launch alongside civilian minting and is the civilian still being scheduled for this month so the end of
end of quarter quarter four of 2023 so uh in order to address the initial question uh civilian game and
mini game uh those are like different entities uh mini games those will exist inside the emerald city
uh as a as a as a separate thing and civilian games will be utilizing the whole civilian assets and
uh somewhat uh engaging with the land and somewhat also engaging with gang war so those are different
things but uh in order to answer the question mini games are launching a bit earlier because that has been
in development for quite a while and um we are confident to release that uh within this month or next month
uh but uh for civilian games uh we will definitely uh be launching civilians along with uh the civilians
game uh and the thing is uh the civilians we can just mint out the civilians right now right but uh we are
planning to have some sort of uh the the whole journey uh journey game of the civilians to launch alongside with
the civilians so uh that's why uh we are not confident that it will be releasing uh this this year but uh somewhere
around quarter one of 2024 is the predicted release date of civilians
uh okay okay that's that now why why was there decided to launch on base using a sticking structure to
create characters and not using the forex mechanism will this mechanism be used in future for other blockchains
uh raki do you want to take this question okay yeah yeah so just to go back on the on the uh mini games so our our goal for gangster verse is to have a lot of mini games inside the gangster verse ecosystem uh hence
since mini games gang war are like the pieces of the puzzle uh so right now this last year we launched
gang war as a form of game that the community can uh play use their nfts and and just engage in the whole gangster verse ecosystem
so next year we definitely want to have more games uh mini so that's why the word mini game uh
uh we will we are in testing phase for one of the mini games and hopefully after the test we can
successfully launch this uh either this year or early next year so mini games or i would say apps would be
a crucial piece of the gangster verse ecosystem where community members can create their own games
apps and launch in the in the emerald city so right now these are all testings that we are doing
internally i mean internally when i say internally is within this within the community that that we
have but eventually we want to expand that and have people uh use our sdks and create games uh like
within the gangster verse ecosystem um so uh what was the question again don solar
um it was regarding the staking structure that we choose to go with and why we are not using the
forex mechanism yeah so to give a background forex uh so what we what we initially said was use
forex mechanism for people to bridge the crown token to a different chain and use the crown token to to
buy or do some activity on that chain so but but we do believe that we we kind of did we didn't actually
bridge the token but we use the utility of crown token within icon to create something on the other
chain hence uh i mean creating a forex would require a trusted or trusted bridge or even a custom bridge
to bridge crown token to a different chain and we know how that goes if we start creating this bridge
there'll be a lot of uh vulnerabilities that can occur hence we decided to confine crown just to icon for
now because there's no uh proper bridge between the two chains we we are aware that uh the bridge team
the btp team they're working on some form of bridge to between icon and base uh so once that's in place
we can use that we can leverage that to create something to transfer assets between the two chains
so we didn't really create a forex but we created a mechanism where they could use crown token on icon
and generate something on base so very similar concept just not uh the implementation but having said
that like doing that for crown was very high risk but we did this we did create a custom bridge to
bridge assets uh loot crates from icon to base um and and it was pretty successful we expected uh like
two three hundred uh like loot crates to bridge but it was more than a thousand a lot of people bridge
their you know crates from one chain to the other and once we have uh established bridge from the core
team we can have this uh bridge like maybe we can have this bridge indifferently right so we we do want
to have a lot of cross chain elements if if you if you have followed cps we we have a proposal on cps to
create i don't know if the first ever cross chain game a gang war game uh between icon and base where
nfts on icon would be competing for rewards for uh with with characters on base so we want to do all
this so just to follow up on the marketing so these are the marketing campaigns we are doing uh on the
side like actively uh to create awareness uh between the two chains and also overall the gamefi ecosystem
yeah um thank you lucky um
so the the next question that i have here is uh what what are the main focus points at this moment
okay so this this is definitely a big one so uh of course if we were if we were to make a list then
there are quite a few so definitely the first one is obviously bringing more people to our game our
newly released game over at base uh try to as lucky mentioned before a new partnerships new marketing ideas
experimenting with new things um and all those stuff but uh besides base there are also other things uh
that also like i mentioned for example the mini chain uh mini sorry mini game that that also is uh is
around the corner and should be live soon uh except that there is uh uh we are also going to introduce
uh rental system in the icon gang wars uh because having a rental system uh allows new users uh in in
the icon community to possibly enter the game uh with low fees without owning any gangster bets and also
allowing the current gang gang wars players to to to put their gangster bets up for rent which they are not
using and that will that will create a new uh new ecosystem over at icon for new players to be introduced
and uh behind the scenes also we are working on civilians working on the journeys and yeah of course
gang wars uh 2.0 the new update to gang wars uh we have received a lot of feedback from the communities
regarding how we should improve more on the game mechanics it's been quite a while and we are
definitely leading it we are definitely forming a team behind that and uh we are we have plans for
what to do regarding gang war 2.0 on the mechanics department we're also working with new new artists and
animation animators to create more visual improvements in gang wars uh that's also definitely another focus
right now um yeah that's uh those are the things we are focusing on right now so uh next question i'm
moving on over to the next question the next question is when will the road maps be updated on every
location so um this question this question's answer will is probably going to be addressed when uh so
right now we we have been developing uh the whole gangsterverse ecosystem for so long that we have so many
different moving parts and it's it's kind of all over the place so we are we are thinking of uh
uh unite uniting all those unifying all those things and making it a more coherent system like uh everything
for like everything falls under gangster verse right uh the gang wars emerald city gangster beds those are
all the part of gangster verse so uh our websites uh are kind of spread out at the moment so we are uh
we're working on improving the websites so uh we will be updating the road map when we do that um
moving on to the other questions uh are there any plans in place for advertising to bring more eyes on
base gang wars that we have already covered how close are we to minting civilians um
um so regarding the road map i just want to add that so i think uh one of the reasons we have a very
we don't have specific dates on road map is because uh of like things that we will learn along
uh so previously we used to have like this this month we uh i mean this one we would do this we'll do this
but um since since there's a lot of things coming up and the whole ecosystem market is very
it's always changing so we need to we need it to be uh flexible as well so right now we do have
things on our road map but uh please do it please do take it with a grain of salt because uh we might
add more stuff and the whole idea of gang wars uh like mini games i mean we never thought about this
in 2023 but right now we are launching this this year so there will be a few things getting pushed
here and there but uh there will be new there will be new stuff being added just looking at the market
condition and looking at uh the new things happening in the whole industry because things change so fast
um the gamefi ecosystem or web3 gaming is probably like two three years old hence it's evolving uh
like new chains are coming up new platforms new ways of thinking new ways of doing things are coming up
all the time so we need to be flexible on that but having said that we will uh i mean we will go along
with what we have promised especially on uh the gangster verse as the as a platform civilians as one of
the one of the core entities within gangster versus nikon and let's see right there's so many other things
that can be done uh especially on the on the cross chain elements on the multi-chain right now now we are
on base as well so definitely we'll be thinking to do more expand more on base and other chains if we see
uh new opportunities there so we won't be rigid on our roadmap but we will let the community know
what's coming up next how the things will play out for the next x months uh but but as always against
our steam will uh will make decisions with the best of interest for the community and the project so
we expect new things uh in 2024 that we have not promised right now or even beginning of 2023
yeah uh thank you lucky uh uh moving on i was talking where was i i was at how close are we to minting
civilians next that's uh we have already talked about that is staking level eight and above gangster bit
in bob to earn icon based tokens still on the cards so i think uh the the community member is asking
here regarding the questions question where we asked initially uh initially when we planned the idea of
pub where people can stake their gangster bets in order to earn some coins uh we have definitely
moved uh away from that idea because a lot of new things have been added to the whole ecosystem
but that sounds more like uh emerald city thing like uh when the when the map is live when the full game
is live that will that could definitely be a feature in the whole ecosystem but for now
um we've kind of moved on from that whole thing uh next question is are there any exciting new partnerships
on the horizon uh lucky do you have anything to add on this yeah like so i think i mentioned this that
expanding to base is such a positive thing for us because potentially and we could potentially partner
with a lot of companies and we are doing that so we are in talks with like couple of uh game studios
uh to bring some kind of collaboration on base and on evm chains so definitely that's on the card and
these are like big game studios that we're like working with we also are on the web 3 space we wanna
uh some of them are new to the web 3 space so uh so these kind of collaborations are possible now
because uh initially i think the the knowledge of icon was quite limited but base and evm it's easy to
convince them but having said that like our goal is to expand on other chains but icon since icon will
be the hub uh the partnerships or new users definitely trickle down uh to icon as well so a lot of good
partnerships are like we're in talks like gaming companies gaming studios infrastructure companies
tooling companies and even other blockchains so we are in talks with a lot of l1s and l2s
uh so there have been a lot of events uh i think i also posted in the group last time about some events
that we went in istanbul uh so we do we do regularly go to different events talked with uh blockchains new
and existing and this space is so uh exciting new things coming up that every year there's something
there's a new company that we can uh partner with so we are we we new partnerships are in talks and
with with time in 2024 they're gonna uh we're gonna make it more public and that's also one of the
one of our marketing strategies uh organic marketing strategies uh collaborating and working together
and creating in this uh symbiotic win-win situation with other partners yeah uh rather than uh just forcing
ads and all uh just making people look at that and just gaining some temporary followers definitely
partnerships are the way that we're going but no names for now uh we will be releasing the names when
uh when we are deep in the in the deals with those so uh next question is regarding the funding for
gangsterverse and the whole mileage that it provides are are we good on that um i think i'm gonna have to
call on lucky again sure i can take this uh so right now the gangsterverse team around 10 12
people engineers designers uh artists community members marketing so so right now i think uh
at the peak when we are building the emerald city map i think we are like 20 25 but the core team right
now is 10 12 and sometimes we add contractors part-time uh so it's kind of uh increases to 15.
uh the current funding situation is we still have the funds that we raised from the initial uh like
minting that was like two years ago then uh we have a recurring revenue from uh
marketplace fees valid validator nodes unfortunately the price of icx has gone down tremendously like from
from from where we where we were and hopefully we we do hope the price goes up so that we have more runway
but in the meantime the funding i mean we we do regularly uh ask p ask cps to fund our initiatives
uh we got a grant for the nft uh building the nft uh building the nft then we got a grant for building
the game and the emerald city use xcall to uh build this crossing tournament between base and icon
uh so that's so those are some revenues we still don't have investments uh i mean we that's a that's
a very conscious decision from us because once we get external investors we will not have as much
flexibility as we currently have expansion collaboration or even taking taking the whole
roadmap like being flexible on our roadmap so that's a very conscious decision uh but but we do have
road mass or your runway for for quite some time sometimes since gangsterverse is part of our
parent company uh some like we do get support from our parent company like when when the icx price
is low when we don't have like when the is not as far but hopefully in 2024 with new uh initiatives
new expansions we are hoping to beef up our runway so that's the goal right now we are pretty good we
do have runway for quite some time but but the goal for hopefully for the next bull run is to cushion
have a lot of cushion and that's that's some learning that we also needed needed to do because when the
price of icx was 2 2.5 we could have really had a lot of cushion uh for our you know i mean a lot
a lot of question for our for the for the team but but right now we're hoping that we can use that
learning to this increase the runway so that we don't need we don't we so that we we only answer to our
community members not to investors yep and you mentioned the the team that we had and i think
that's a good uh segue to our next question which is the last question i think this is a good question
to end this whole list of questions with the questions is do you think gangsterverse can be a
leading nft project in the years to come not only on icon but across all blockchains and the reason i
mention our community members and our team members is because uh we definitely believe in this project
like we definitely believe that we have uh uh something unique to provide here with the with the
whole gangster theme with the whole city the possibilities are just endless and we have all the
members of the community and our team members who believe in this project and are working every day to
make this project better and better and adding more things to the project and yeah it obviously
takes a lot of time on adding a lot of things and uh considering the volatile space this whole web 3 space
it it does get in the way sometimes but we have been navigating our way around that so far and yeah i
i definitely think that uh we we we have a lot to offer to the whole web 3 space
that's all right agree i would like to add to this so we do have a very good team that works well
together and i think each one of us are really dedicated towards this project and since we're trying to
navigate in a way that that the that the project uh comes above everything right so even if we promised
a certain roadmap we just try to proactively look for ways to make the best decision um as the time goes
so we're trying to build games and we're trying to come up as a very promising project in terms of
collectibles as well as games and if need be maybe more opportunities in the future so yeah i suppose we
do have that in place things in place we have our heart and right place so we could very well be uh
leading nft project in the future in the in the years to come yeah definitely the the whole uh idea of uh
this the gangster verse as a separate year universe full of gangsters and detectives that's that's that's
the thing that got me into the project and now i'm so invested in it so yeah uh that was our last
question and definitely a good question to end the the questions that we have here from but we just don't
want it to be a question just was provided by the the community uh we also want to have some speakers

and and and and we want to be at the top uh where we learn we execute and collaborate we partner and
again execute and and make everyone happy especially
yeah definitely and also i think experimentation is also a big part of that trying new things out
uh even the wackiest ideas we can just boil them down and make something comprehensive out of that and
that's where the whole innovation thing happens right so

oh am i on yeah yeah we can hear you all right well first off thank you so much to all of you for
your ongoing vigilance despite uh current working conditions and holding this ama i just have one
just small little uh thing to add um and it's just specifically concerning the civilians just very
quickly um as long as the civilian minting and their game fi utility isn't too far apart i think it
actually would be more beneficial to have the civilian minting happening happening sooner than later in
preparation uh i mean if it's not q4 2023 then probably very early q1 2024 because um the same
thing was kind of done with the land minting so i'm given how critical uh a core component the civilians
are purportedly to be uh i do think that it would be i mean just like with the the land minting right
now we we can't necessarily do anything much with the land but it's coming very soon so that's
that's great um so i don't see why the same thing can't be done with the civilians that's all
um yep i think i would like to answer that question uh so hi grimlock i did read the text
uh you i think you texted the same thing uh in the pulp as well but the reason that we're trying to
have a journey as soon as the civilian minting is done is uh as you may know that we're we try to
experiment with a lot of things right so we did do a land reveal because that was something to show for
we worked for like nine months and and even more than that so the reveal it had some kind of efforts
right but in terms of civilians of course there are assets but then we want people to uh sort of be able
to join on simple journeys uh so initially the the journeys would not be as complicated it could
just be uh clicks and adding to uh and following certain uh a certain range of decisions to decisions
to come uh to a certain point right so there will be simple journeys that people that the civilians could
go on so these are not that complex and we're trying to incorporate it so that the civilians would have
the utility from do1 itself uh and see this is um again experimentation on our end
yeah i mean uh you talked about land and the whole land just being there and having no utility
that does not uh feel good on my end personally and also uh on the whole uh presentation end as well
so i definitely want to include some utility once it's released
does that yeah i hope you answered your question grimlock but yeah not to worry it's not pushing the
timeline much we're just trying to have simple uh journeys that civilians could go on immediately after
yeah um do you have any other questions grimlock i mean you you were the one who were uh pointing out the
the whole gang wars and how it's it's it should be more visually appealing um actually i'm more
my role in the whole company i'm more inclined towards the gang war side of things so i would
definitely like to hear what you have to uh suggest regarding those that side of things as well
um in terms of gang wars uh i'll i'll leave most of that up to you for the time being um if i were to
make one small suggestion as far as the ui um it would be to have i think i mentioned this before where
there's a visual uh a turn-based list where we can see clearly who's going to go next
um if you played a game like final fantasy 10 where uh like on the right side you see like this
character so everyone can clearly see who's going to go next uh that would help a lot as opposed to
like a long string of text which is very hard to follow um i don't know i imagine that was going to
be a part of gang wars version 2 or some future iteration but that was the main thing as far as just
ui for me yeah the the whole ui definitely needs an overhaul i mean uh the initial idea was somewhere
far away from what we have right now right it is it is we know the the word alpha is thrown out a lot
but that it is what it is like uh it's not the complete vision at all like me personally i i want to
include more visual elements to it so we are we are we are we are talking with new animation studios
and artists to add more stuff regarding the whole how the damage is dealt and all those stuff
the thing that hit me the most is that you mentioned virgil and his slice if only the
animations were as crisp as that right and that kind of gave me the energy to push lucky and irene
towards adding more visual elements to the whole game i mean it's definitely a gamer thing where
there's one side where it's the economic side of the game and there's the other side where it's the
game side of the game you know the whole feel of the game and stuff and i definitely want to focus more
on the games the more gamer side of things because uh we need new people and new people needs to
need to understand the game better right yeah so um oh i i i understand um that you know that's why
i'm just going to leave most of those decisions to you for now i assume that you're gonna um uh just
like with the with the mad boar huns from defy kingdom they're adding like animations to their sprites
which is it's a fairly simple uh simple animations but it's quite effective but i'll leave that up to you
um as far as like the gameplay stuff then i think i'm not the only one that feels this way um it would
be really really nice if there were a p2e part of gang gang wars because it it's as opposed to the
the kind of uh almost like put put your own money into a pot p2p which is almost like it's almost like a
more glorified version of like a slot blackjack game um as opposed to like a p2e where we can all
a bunch of us can just join in together and fight like a um a giant octopus monster or something um
where there's more of like a mmo communal kind of uh all everyone participating in yeah yeah i hear you i
i hear you that hmm okay that is definitely on the horizon uh that is definitely on the horizon uh we
we did plan out a few things uh we were even considering having like uh players fight maybe um
some kind of solar monster or an irene character so we're definitely exploring on that part and
uh maybe that would be a future addition because right now because right now when right now when
it's p pvp and you're putting some money into a pot and then you lose and it feels somewhat random
it's a little bit frustrating but if it were a p2e and all of us were pulling our own resources into
all being on the same team and fighting some big boss creature even if you lose it's very fun because
we all you know we all participated we all lost at the same time uh yeah the the as lady irene
mentioned uh there are plans regarding that and also tying some new mechanics that we are planning for
the the gang wars 2.0 that some new resources that will be introduced there to give away those resources
by the the single player game let's just call it that the single player game aspect of the whole gang wars
so um uh appreciate that you are you are also thinking along the same lines and uh yeah actually
these feedbacks are really valuable and this would actually help us uh move forward in the right
direction i'd say so um i'd really request the uh request the players who may not be in this session
to keep posting feedbacks because we're definitely checking them out we're considering them where we go
over them and then we discuss uh based on the priority what we would like to introduce to
the game to make it more interesting because at the end of the day it's uh you guys who we're building
this for right so yeah definitely keep them coming and thank you so much for uh to grimlock for bringing
