and then VFriends were probably the biggest

I think Baron said that, like, you literally spend thousands of dollars in one second.

And so many more people, of course, like Bobby Huntry
and all these artists.
Several artists that we hosted here on Spaces since then.
Gabe Weiss, I met there for the first time.
Winnie Heger, they were there as speakers.
Mambot, who we hosted several times.
And they were there as speakers. Mombot, who we hosted several times. And they were there as speakers.
We basically became friends ever since.
And it's unbelievable, this journey of four years in this crazy space.
It's crazy that this happened to us also when we traveled to NFC Lisbon, right?

vcon uh live it was the mixture of people who started digging into web3 who were kind of bored

because they were they were following or they had been following Gary from the web
two place being entrepreneurs or starting or running their own business and it was an amazing
blend I remember and I tried to go there and with like really open mind and just started talking to
people just basically randomly whoever I sat down to next to I just started talking and it was very special I have to say moment
for me which I didn't really experience until the the next ape fest a few years later so I think
this was a definitely a special moment for me and what you are saying grateful I think he or they
are as a team they are doing an amazing job uh with uh explaining all the stuff and also
if you kind of missed out on something uh back then so you were like oh i'm too late to this
there are different kind of touch points where you can start your journey and i think they're
doing a really good job uh at uh at pointing out to those points where you can actually start so
100 man and if you check the vfriends instagram account like they do like three reels a day and to those points where you can actually start. 100%, man.

in in many trends and then you got into nfts also for me very early. So what did you see back in 2021 that not many people actually saw in NFTs and blockchain
tech?
That there was enough tools built on top of the blockchain that what the internet did
for communication, that the block, that NFTs, the blockchain was about to do for ownership.

four years ago, right?
He, I don't know if Tino still has it.

And so what I saw was there was enough tools,
OpenSea, MetaMask.
I mean, I bought Ethereum in 2015, 16, 17.
I've been watching and waiting for that movement.
It started happening in 21.
It became obvious to me.
I wanted to collect and then I wanted to make.
And here we are in 2025 and my vision's becoming true. Wait till you all hear this. This is going
to really land for this audience. I think you're going to all be blown away by this. Yesterday,
I got an email from someone that I had talked to a couple years earlier, just a fan.
They were saying they liked my book.
And he re-upped the email, you know, literally 13 years later.
And he goes, hey, I got to tell you a story.
I've lost touch with you.
I, you know, he actually razzed me a little bit.
He's like, you know, I got the gist.
I didn't need to listen to you anymore.
He said, but my son, like, was bothering me. He was like, I got to go to GameStop. He said, but my son was bothering me.
He was like, I got to go to GameStop.
And he was like, okay.
And so we went to GameStop.
And when I was driving him, he was like, why are you going to GameStop?
He's like, I'm buying VFriends.
The guy still didn't make the connection.
Then finally made the connection at some point.
And he said that they opened up the cards.
They got to talk about the cards.
This gentleman emailed me at like 11 o'clock last night from not knowing where i've been
not knowing what an nft is in one evening because his son wanted to collect the cards and flip them
got down a rabbit hole and he ended his email to me by saying, hey, do you have any good links
so that I can safely buy an NFT, my first NFT?
That is what I'm doing.
I am living both in the physical and digital world.
I am making people fall in love with my characters.
I am writing comic books.
I am doing cartoons.
I am doing apparel.
I am making comic books. I'm doing cartoons. I am doing apparel. I'm making trading cards. And just like I onboarded many of the people that are in the Cool Cats, Azuki, Bored Ape,
and Pudgy Penguins universe, I, me, me, onboarded many of them into Web3. I'm going to onboard
many more because there is no crypt crypto or Web3 native people.
There's just people.
Web3 will eat up the world
because the blockchain
is one of the most important
technologies in the world,
especially with the advance of AI
and fake videos
and deep fake and ownership.
And I'm so fucking excited, guys.
BeFriends is going to be massive.

I really hope that you really consider owning a vFriend

So many of my friends learn about NFTs through your educational content.
The content was everywhere.

I love what I've seen with BoardApe and all these other great IPs that have been built.

is there a part of me knowing that a stunning percentage of the core base collectors of the four to five other IPs
don't own a V-friend, even though at one point they did, or I was the person I'm
working, sure, that to me is a business miss on my side.
But do I equally know that I am definitely going to be here in 5 and 10 and 15 years
with this brand at the highest levels?
And do I secretly know that every single person right here, right now, with an incredible
ape PFP, or the other great PFPs I'm seeing when I scroll, do I secretly know that every single person right here right now with an incredible ape pfp or the other
great pfp as i'm seeing when i scroll do i secretly know that every one of them is eventually going to
own a uh a vfriend the answer is yes because these are digital collectors that are early that means
all of you know how cool this stuff is and you like it the way i like it and i think you'll find
your way there and obviously vfriend series one still has a meaningful cost of entry in.
But Series 2 BeFriends are so well-priced right now that I know that many here will get curious and will continue to watch me build.
And will find themselves onboarding back into our universe.

How early do you think we are in Web3 right now?
Is this like a post-Facebook launch or dial-up era of the internet?

what we know about buying Ethereum,
using MetaMask, using DeFi,
all of that's going to happen behind the scenes, friend.
Like, you can go to OpenSea right now and use a credit card.
You don't need to do,
I had to teach everybody through all my content
for five months how to even buy cryptocurrency,
how to set up a wallet, what a seed phrase was. That's all going to be secondary. So we're early,
brother. But what we're not early about is collecting. People collected seashells and rocks
thousands of years ago, and then stamps and coins and antiques, and now trading cards and
comic books and sneakers and watches. So we're not early in collecting.
And the world's getting more digital, not less.
And AR and VR are around the corner.

tops not tops chrome but just regular tops he did a baseball set where he paired wines with
different baseball players and had a few entrepreneurs featured and you know you've
heard a little bit of it gary's really obsessed with the rookie card of things, the origin, the first appearance.
And some of those entrepreneurs, like Stephen Bartlett, for example, of Diary of a CEO,
that's their first ever trading card. And if you believe in the trajectory of his career,
the way that Gary does and the way that millions of subscribers on YouTube do,
does and the way that, you know, millions of subscribers on YouTube do, um, that, that could
be a really big deal. The other thing about it is honestly just packing as much value into the
break experience because obviously the cards have, have come up in value, but you know, when we sold

it sounds funny i mean it sounds uh like there is no such big narrative right as metaverses we don't
we don't know much of them uh they've been busy building in 2022 with uh the central end and uh
they were quite successful there i mean in the way what successful could be could be because uh
it wasn't that big um and uh there were not as big opportunities as we have uh with odk in the other
side but they've been building there and um actually they were running the project for ton
ecosystem and i've been in touch with him and uh kind of together we came to the conclusion

is now possible to get into while with the odk access it's possible to get into it's possible
to run on those different renders on those different tribes and it looks amazing really
amazing and i'm really proud to be connected to this project to be speaking about it right now
um the game is big I mean it's really big and the experience gonna be very very I'm sure really sure
say that it's safe to say that Abe's gonna love it on the guys who are going to be onboarded to
other side you guys gonna love it that's that's for sure uh we are now running
several private tests uh among our community and uh it looks nice it looks really nice so i can
briefly share the concept it's uh because you know we have kind of the plan what we share and we want
to go step by step it's now not related to od key related to primal instinct first of all we're gonna be the plan is and
I'm sure we're gonna fulfill the plan is to launch together with other side
persistent so but whenever it be in June we are ready to launch together with it
I hope I hope we haven't discussed it yet with Patrick, that Yuga is going to help us and Yuga is going to help us to bring as much people as possible there. It's four tribes. You can see all the renders in Primal Instinct. There are four tribes. Ice, mountain mountain forest and the desert tribe um actually the idea is so you
need to conquer another tribes there are several mechanics it's not just pure fun uh pure fighting
uh we can now we've been calculating that roughly 1000 people simultaneously can play
been calculating that roughly 1000 people simultaneously can play and it's not gonna
be overcrowded because the 1000 people at the same time at the same time yeah
but that's a great thing about ODK that's a great thing about other side because if
you all remember right project dragon what was the record? 2000 plus, if I'm not mistaken.
So that was a bit overcrowded, right?
The land is huge where we have it.
We have four different tribes with four different lands.
You're going to meet each other in the middle.
We have several mechanics.
It's not just about fighting.
You can, I don't know if Dimit is not gonna kill me for sharing but that's cool I want to share
so the plan is it's not just you simply go and fight there are strategies which could be implemented
you can gather resources to improve your base for the defense. You can improve your weapons for better assault.
So those are kind of strategy inside.
And the session, we don't want it to be too complicated.
We have several stage planned for the game.
With the first stage, we don't want it to be too complicated.
The session, you are supposed to
conquer the other tribes like around 40 minutes to one hour like something similar to project dragon
experience um probably even less like 30 minutes something like that so it's you're excited enough
but uh it's not too much time consuming so somewhere in between like the balance um so that's the step
and that's the stuff the game is quite big and the thing which we're implementing these are quite big
and I think without saying much about ODK itself it can show you that the ODK opportunities like the ways it lets you work with the game with your idea,
they are really huge, really broad because we are able to implement those with ODK.
The team is super helpful, super responsive, super easy to reach them, easy to get the advices, easy to handle any kind of bugs,
these kind of stuff.
So we really love it.
We are super, super stoked to be together with the AIPES, to be among early testers of
ODK.
It's a hell of an experience, guys.
