GMGM, welcome to Coffee with Captain. Thanks so much for joining us. Happy Friday. Happy Friday
the 13th. Six years ago today. Just seeing we're muted. We should be good now. I'm going to restart
that. Do it again. One of these days we'll get it right. Happy Friday the 13th. Welcome to Coffee
with Captain. Six years ago today. Am, am I unmuted now, right,
Payne? I think I'm just lagging. Good now. Good to go. Six years ago today, third time's a charm.
Six years ago today, we shut down. The world shut down. The simulation glitched. Maybe today,
maybe Friday the 13th. That was the last Friday the 13th we had in March, was six years ago.
Today, maybe today, Friday the 13th in March, resets the simulation and fixes everything
and we get back to normal.
One can hope.
As per the title, you'll see the gold-bitcoin ratio is signaling the bottom. If you believe in four-year cycles and technical analysis,
we might actually be ready.
I don't know.
I don't know if it's enough to overcome the macro craziness,
but maybe, just maybe,
Friday the 13th turns us lucky.
Also, not to get out of the cold open too quickly,
I should have done more than paper trade yesterday. I said I was going to trade of the days. No one gave me confirmation. I was looking
for confirmation from the chat if I was on the right path or not. I absolutely should have not
just shorted Zerebro, but also Advantis. After being two of the biggest winners yesterday,
and I question the scam pumps,
both are down about 5%, 5%, 6% respectively today.
So we'll see.
I've got a couple others.
We'll hold off until we get to the market update,
but I've got a couple other trades.
I'm going to actually make one of the trades today.
Maybe you can help me decide which one.
But as always, I'm Cap.
No co-host today. It's a Friday, though. Open stage, as always, community-driven
show. Appreciate everyone being here. Appreciate the love on the space, getting things warmed up.
I see you out there, Helpful Soul and Hizzy, in the YouTube chat. That's where the real alpha
takes place. I will pin that YouTube link up top here momentarily. We're also live over on
Abstract. I think it's live anyways.
The new setup, I'm not a fan of how they're doing it, but I digress. It is what it is.
We're live over there. I did get, I will say I got probably the largest XP I've got for a bit.
And the only thing I've done differently is hold some ZEAT cards,
EAT cards, ZEAT cards.
Man, the two of those are just way too close,
the X and the Y.
I will probably mispronounce them
for the rest of my time.
But all I've done is the streaming
and then held a few of those cards over there.
So yeah, I guess happy to see it climbing a little bit, but again, as always
open stage, it's Friday, kind of a open mic night, uh, or morning rather on the show.
If there's anything on your mind, uh, feel free to drop your comments, questions in the
chat, uh, or join the, join us here on stage.
We'd love to have you.
And, um, yeah, before I get into market stuff, we did have, unfortunately, more, I want to say drama is not the right word, more news out of the Middle East.
Doesn't look, the end does not look near, but we will see how things progress over the weekend.
We have been getting Friday afternoon, Friday evening news. So we'll see if
that trend continues this afternoon. And a few other, I guess, I mean, I'm looking for some
positive news on Friday the 13th. We had token 2049 canceled. Also, I believe just, I shouldn't
say canceled. They said it's postponed until next April. So
basically the 2026 version is canceled, but they're not canceling the conference. Whereas I
think NFT Paris completely pulled the plug. GM Diablito and Black Mage, appreciate you both
over there in the YouTube chat. Kind of a flying under the radar, no Pingu ETF, at least not for now.
I will double tap on that here in a bit.
And also $50 million lost yesterday in a swap down bad.
And a lot of oddities with that one.
A, why you have $50 million on a mobile phone,
why you're powering
through the slippage warning. Who knows? But yeah, any good news. That's why I'm soliciting
good news for Friday the 13th because I do have a lot of headlines. I do have a lot of things
to get into. One thing we're not going to be talking about is Chinese fishing boats accumulating together, whether that's news or not, whether they're just overfishing or it's going to be a fishing militia.
We're just going to let the conspiracy theorists debate that one, but we're not going to get into that this morning.
One cold open topic I do have, I'm beat.
I appreciate my sleep very much.
And I mean, I'm beat. I appreciate my sleep very much. I actually skipped the gym this morning. I'm going to have to restart my 75 hard. It is hard for a reason. I'm going to have to restart it.
I broke the streak for the first time traveling last week after a couple flight delays, didn't get it in, didn't get the workouts in after travel, and yeah, slept in a little bit this morning after a late night, seven o'clock
lacrosse game, and after it was over and I drive back, it was probably like a little after 10.
However, it was well worth it, well worth the extent of the game, an 11-10 overtime win,
very exciting, went two and one on the week after back-to-back-to-back
games. And yeah, fun, exciting game. They were trailing 7-9 with like four minutes left in
lacrosse, which very tough to come back due to, wow, Katie got 80,000 XP on abstract. Happy
Friday to you, Katie. Congrats. Well-deserved over there. Crushing the abstract XP game.
Eddie, congrats. Well-deserved over there. Crushing the abstract XP game.
Just like my daughter's team is crushing the lacrosse season.
Back-to-back-to-back games and down 7-9.
With like four minutes left, it's tough to overcome because it's just very easy to run the clock out.
There's no shot clock and teams can pass it around.
And anyways, they scored three goals to go up 10-9.
Only then for the other team to score with 12 seconds left to tie it up,
taking momentum into overtime.
However, my daughter actually took it.
She was playing midfield, took the ball, the length of the field,
got through two defenders, pretty pressure.
And she even admitted after the game, she was a little nervous
because they were pressing on defense. And she even admitted after the game, she was a little nervous, like, cause the, you know,
they were pressing on defense
and the goalie, she was like,
the goalie threw the ball.
She admitted after the game,
she got a little nervous
on just the pressure packed moment.
But she did her job,
got the ball at the field,
got through some defenders,
got fouled once.
And then ultimately, long story short,
got it into like scoring position, got it to their their leading goal scorer, who's a junior that's already got a full ride to Oregon, a D1 university full ride to play lacrosse there.
And she had a drive in, got fouled and then scored on the penalty to the penalty shot to win 11 to 10 in overtime.
penalty shot to win 11 to 10 in overtime.
Big, big win.
And a nice one to, they're off next week for spring break.
So that said, I'm beat.
I need some, I could use the weekend of sleep,
but I actually am going to a little festival tomorrow.
So we will, maybe Sunday we'll catch up on some sleep.
We will see.
Yes, GM Doord as well. YouTube streets are looking, are looking strong over there. Um, the chat's looking strong
across the board. Appreciate all of you in the X comments as well. I, um, I'm not going to bit
about X. It is what it is. Grateful for the platform here, but it has been just, I don't know what's going on.
I don't know what's going on with, like, yesterday for, I hope there's a rapist at the festival, Joey.
Last time I went to a festival, they had food trucks from Miami and multiples, multiple of them were serving arepas.
trucks from Miami and multiples, multiple of them were serving arepas. Um, I have been off
flower for a little while and, um, will likely partake a little bit, uh, tomorrow. It is a,
it's called reggae rise up. So the, um, a lot of, a lot of hippies will be out and about,
I'm assuming. Um, hopefully there's some regga,
regga, regga tone, regga tron, whatever the Latin version is. Anyways, I digress.
Take it, rewinding my brain a little bit here, getting distracted. It's good. It's okay though.
It's a Friday morning. Um, you gotta remind me where I was going prior to that though. I need,
um, I need, I need more coffee to try to power through this here.
We will power through it.
But I may just have to jump into market update if I can't rewind my brain.
The ADHD kicked in hard when I saw Arepa Festival.
That's really what we need.
We'll hit on the PO-OP.
Again, thanks for sharing, Maria. It's not what we need. We'll hit on the POOP. Again, thanks for sharing, Maria.
It's not like the worst.
I appreciate how they're doing it.
Maybe that's the positive spin I could put on it.
But another Web3 Crypto Native Protocol sunsets.
GM Risk, GM Aqueous, and appreciate you all.
Yeah, X has been just not great.
I could not find spaces yesterday afternoon.
I was trying to hop on a couple of spaces,
and they usually, if you just scroll to the top of your X feed,
you can, how am I supposed to say it, Law?
You can, how am I supposed to say it, Law?
Tell me how I'm supposed to say it.
Usually I can just scroll the top of the X feed
and you see, you know, there's the spaces.
Well, for whatever reason,
they weren't there at all yesterday.
I couldn't find, the only way to find X spaces
was go into like the menu bar on the left-hand side
and then click spaces and then find a space you wanted.
But discoverability was just, it was completely off. I did do the updates. It seems to be back
this morning. Reggaeton. Reggaeton is the proper pronunciation there. I do enjoy it, but
obviously I'm not fluent yet. I'm still working on my Spanish and the culture.
The other thing I'll be watching this weekend is some World Baseball Classic.
I believe, I'm going to go check the schedule.
I believe we've got Venezuela and Japan tomorrow.
Yeah, tomorrow night.
And then tonight at 8 p.m., U.S. versus Canada.
I just got to say, the United States better win.
After talking trash on Canada for like the last month,
after beating them in their national sport, hockey, for the Olympic gold,
the pressure's on, fellas.
Like, we can't lose to Canada in for in our national sport otherwise it offsets everything
that happened in the olympics so pressure's on uh us versus canada tonight at 8 p.m on fox
and then we get tomorrow japan and venezuela uh the winner i i believe
i believe the bracket let me just look at the bracket, because I believe it's, if we win, we would play
the winner of Puerto Rico, Italy, but let me just double check, and then the winner of
Venezuela, Japan will face the winner of Korea and Dominican Republic. My browser's locking up here, but yes,
I take that back.
That is not correct.
We will play,
assuming we win,
assuming we beat Canada.
Helpful flow.
You can't be rooting on Canada and baseball.
we don't have to ban him,
but at least put,
put a slow timer on him or something in the YouTube chat.
We can't have that today.
So here's the go.
We play Canada.
Then we play the winner of Korea in Dominican Republic.
We play in Houston tonight.
And then Sunday's semifinal is in Miami.
This Dominican team is freaking loaded.
Not really are they loaded.
It is, it's like a Hall of Fame dugout.
Like Albert Pujols is the coach.
And then you look over and there's Pedro Martinez
and then David Ortiz.
Like it is, it is an icon.
Like I want to be, like I had no desire
to go to the World Baseball Classic.
I, if it's U. I want to be, I had no desire to go to the World Baseball Classic.
If it's U.S. versus Dominican,
let's see, that's Sunday.
I can't do it.
I got too much going on this weekend.
But I legitimately would enjoy going to that game.
It is just electric.
This Dominican team is loaded with talent. The dugout is loaded
with legends. And
the U.S. is probably
like, wildly, probably
they should be the favorites against Canada. I haven't looked.
They're probably not the favorites against DR.
I'm guessing DR is favored to win the whole
I'm going to be rooting hard for Venezuela to beat Japan.
who knows how, I don't know Puerto Rico and Italy.
Italy, I think has been running hot,
but I would love to see a U.S.-Venezuela final.
We would have a divided home and that would be kind of fun.
Joey, GM, what brought you up here?
Any takes on the World Baseball Classic before we get into things?
Yeah. Yeah. It's, oh, the Echo's back. Yeah. on the World Baseball Classic before we get into things? Yay.
Yeah, it's...
Oh, the echo's back.
Oh, it's gone.
No, it's still there.
I'm just going to blame X.
I have no idea.
I can't hear the echo.
I guess spaces, quick audio check.
Do you hear Joey echoing?
I'm guessing it's just X spaces, but...
Yeah, it's still echoing for me.
Usually it goes away after a couple seconds
wait it's gone now so weird yeah it's so weird uh polymarket has uh the u.s at 39 percent
dominican republic at 30 percent japan at 19 to win to win it all to win it all oh wow so u.s is favored yeah 39 u.s 30 dominican republic 19 japan seven venezuela three italy
um but i was going to add is that the world baseball classic has become such a big deal
to your point of like why there's you know david ortiz and pedro pedro martinez because
they removed baseball from the olympics when they removed when they removed baseball from the Olympics. When they removed baseball from the Olympics.
Why did they do that?
So from my understanding, the Olympic Committee is always reviewing sports, right?
To see like, what should we add?
What should we remove based on?
They remove baseball and add flag football.
Like what?
They remove softball too from the olympics um but i
think that for if i remember correctly when they made that decision to remove it they remove they
typically remove sports based on global participation so if they feel like there
isn't enough global participation to where like hold on hold on i'm being i'm being told it wasn't global it's because mlb refused to pause its in its its season for the tournament so then why was softball removed
was softball removed i don't know that could be because global participation oh okay i don't i
thought it was global participation but i guess whoever said it was because of the refusing to
pause maybe that's the reason but yeah top players couldn't play because MLB wouldn't pause during the Olympics.
I guess that makes sense.
I honestly thought it was the global participation thing.
And the IOC wanted to introduce other sports with higher global appeal
and better gender equity.
Oh, so it's a DEI thing.
That's awesome.
Well, yeah.
So I think that's what's made the World Baseball Classic so important for these countries because
this is the only global stage they have.
Unlike other sports like hockey and soccer.
Wait, it's scheduled to come back.
It's supposed to come back in the LA games. So they're saying in 2028 the uh baseball will be back
oh okay so i guess it only missed a couple a couple olympics then yep we don't know what
we're talking about here we're learning i had no idea i had no idea it was even removed so
that tells you how much i was paying attention to this and i actually like the summer olympics
um they're my my favorite of the of the olympics um it's so weird like they
came back in 2020 um baseball and softball both were not in paris but it says they're
it looks like it looks like it looks like they're coming back in
paris and it looks like the mlb stars are the ones who pushed to play in 28.
So, and I have to imagine after seeing like the hype and excitement of the World Baseball Classic,
I have to imagine that there's going to be more people pushing for the Olympics.
Like, it's just like, this is fun, man.
Like, this is the most, it's better than playoff baseball.
Like, it's like the crowds are electric.
Like, it's like a soccer crowds are electric like it's like it's like a soccer
fandom atmosphere in a baseball game joey did we lose you no i'm here i think i agree with you but
i think the problem is and i don't know if i'm on the olympic committee i think the issue is is that
like you've only got you know how many countries are playing in the world baseball
classic 16 or something like that so i guess part of the uh from from the olympic committee's
perspective like how many like from a global appeal perspective how many countries are actually
participating in baseball and are even quote-unquote competitive right so that's true it's
it's it's a very expensive countries yeah caribbean latin countries i don't know about that man it's
expensive in the u.s but dude you can't tell me like these these baseball schools in dominican
like they're not loaded like it's they're playing with sticks and bottle caps like it's some of the
best baseball players in the world grew up dirt poor yeah but forming but forming a team though from that perspective
right like you could like individual players but like having an actual league and having actual
teams gets expensive because you got to have 25 to 30 people on a team right so like
oh i i mean i think you sports are ridiculously expensive and altogether,
like travel use sports has been ruined as ruined a lot of you sports in this
country because it's,
it became such a money grab to where it stuff got so expensive and it,
it, it trickled down. Like it got so expensive. The clubs got so greedy.
Oftentimes they don't always have like their, the A team in a club.
They've got the B team, the C team, the D team.
And those are just, they're just money grabs. Like this kid,
they shouldn't be paying five, 10 grand a year. They're not that good.
Just have a local team, have a regional team. Anyways.
We can talk about the youth sports in America and how it's ruined.
I mean, we can spend hours probably on that.
Yeah. We'll keep, we'll keep it moving.
But Helpful Soul, this is actually helpful.
Says the host country actually gets to choose some sports as options as well so they can cycle some sports in and out, hence baseball in LA.
That makes sense.
That makes a lot of sense.
I did not know host country is going to choose.
Like, I had no idea that sports went in and out of the Olympics like this.
This is today I learned. The more you know on Coffee with Captain brought to you by Helpful Soul.
Mike, GM Mike, always a pleasure. Rare that we get you on stage.
What I was going to say, we're going to move out of the cold open, but the mic is yours, sir.
It's open mic Friday. What brought you up?
Well, good morning. Good morning. Good morning from Los Angeles.
You got like a radio voice calling in from Los Angeles as well.
It's because it's early and I'm not done with all my coffee yet.
Yeah, that last point I was going to make too is that, yeah,
each host country gets to put up a demonstration sport and see how well it does.
Interesting.
That's how taekwondo got into the Olympics. You know, when Korea hosted it, they put up taekwondo as a sport,
and people enjoyed it, and it's participated in all over the world,
so it stayed.
Interesting.
And then, of course, the youth sports.
So I'm so happy for your daughter with lacrosse and everything.
My son is a college lacrosse player.
That's awesome.
He started playing ice hockey
when he was 12, didn't learn how to skate till he was 11, saw the Sochi Olympics and said,
I want to do that. I wouldn't let him play football when he was that young because of
head injuries and everything. So I put him in hockey and it got so damn expensive,
especially in Los Angeles,
where it's $500 an hour for a sheet of ice to practice on in the streams.
And I ended up sending him to prep school
simply because he was going to miss 25, 30 days of high school
on travel and stuff like that.
Maybe 10 kids in a 3,000 kid high school were going to
play hockey so that he might know. And I'm like, okay, this is not a high school experience. Plus,
getting to college, it seemed to be the best way to get to college. So I sent him out there instead.
And it was either that or pay pretty much the same cost for him to play a travel sport.
It was insane.
It is insane.
That's where all my Bitcoin went, you know, pay for all that.
Because I bought Bitcoin first in 2016.
And then I'm like, all right, well, I need to pay this bill.
So I'm selling it now.
That's like the meme.
Like my dad, I saw someone yesterday.
It's like instead of my dad buying Nvidia for a penny,
they were playing with, he was playing with the kids.
Yeah, instead of buying Bitcoin in 2016, I was spending, I don't know,
10 to 25 grand a year on travel soccer for my oldest.
It just, and not even remotely as close to as expensive
as like hockey and some of this other stuff.
It just, it really has gotten out of control.
And I mean, I get it. hockey and some of this other stuff it just it really has gotten out of control and i mean i get
it i mean as an entrepreneur like yeah build build leagues build teams make money it's just it feels
like it's gotten so far away from youth development and helping these kids you know get into college
and and grow as as young humans and into more of like just a for-profit enterprise
in many cases.
And that's sad.
But yeah, hockey equipment.
Like I also like, you know, I had daughters.
I had a son.
I loved football.
It's the only thing like I miss in my life
that I can't partake in anymore.
And I mean, I still randomly think about high school football
25 years later. I don't think I would have let my kid play football either if I had a boy.
It was interesting. We were driving home one Saturday morning and there's a park near my
house and they had, you know, I assume around six or seven.
They looked maybe six or seven years old.
Kids out there with coaches and stuff.
And it was a football team and they were practicing.
And they lined them up, you know, 10 yards away from each other.
And they ran into each other.
And I just, I'm like, okay, I'm in California.
If I was in California, Texas, Florida in particular, there's no way I'm letting him play that young.
Yep. I would have.
Because, you know, in these three states, it's all about going pro, right? So there's just no way I was going to let him do that. So, yeah, I agree. yeah i agree yeah i um like i had fun oklahoma drills like that what you're talking about where
they you line up 10 feet apart you're running to each other and one you try to tackle the ball
carriers like was but knowing what we know now about head injuries and it's like was not wise
they shouldn't be doing that stuff anymore and um yeah especially after experiencing lacrosse for
the last four years like i would have um like if I had a sports-aged son today, I would
strongly be encouraging lacrosse over football for sure. Joey, go ahead and get back in here,
and then we've got to get things moving. Yeah, I actually wasn't going to talk about
youth sports if you want to move on. Yeah, let's save the youth sports conversation for another day because like
you said we could probably go hours just on the topic itself but um you know and then the yeah
the polo i have no experience although i do know horses are very expensive so i can only imagine
and um the interesting theory there may have last thought thought on this ads hockey used to introduce contact earlier.
They delayed it and have had a rise in head injury since,
since kids don't know how to make contact. Uh, I think it kind of checks out.
It's like, you know,
part of football is knowing how to tackle and you don't,
you're like, you can't be afraid of contact. Like you, you can't catch.
You're much more likely to get injured. If you're to get injured if you're afraid to run through someone.
And kids need to know how to tackle.
But again, that requires contact.
I did not know lacrosse was the official Canadian sport for the summer.
I wish I would have been introduced to lacrosse.
There was no lacrosse when I was
in high school in my area where I grew up. There was women's field hockey, but we did not have any
lacrosse in my area. I didn't know about lacrosse until I went to college and I had some buddies
that went, they were from the Pittsburgh area, Pittsburgh suburbs, and they all, they were big
lacrosse fans. They had their sticks. And it was the first time I got introduced to lacrosse.
And my daughter, she had played volleyball up until oh she played like her freshman sophomore year in high
school uh but started playing lacrosse her freshman year just as like a fun like something to do
not during volleyball season and um quickly fell in love with it and you know became her favorite
sport and wish we'd got her started in that sooner. Uh, go ahead. Yeah. Lacrosse is only a Northeastern sport when I was a kid,
it was like everybody in, in like New York, Maine,
like it was like only in the Northeast. Uh, it was never,
never really made its way anywhere else. Um, but I was, uh,
I was gonna, uh,
I'll wait for you to pivot topics before,
but I was going to pivot to something Web3 related.
What do you want to hit on?
So I shared it in the purple pill.
I don't know if you saw it, but just as a warning to people, just as we talked about RWAs the other day and TCG and stuff like that.
and TCG and stuff like that.
And you're going to see,
and you're starting to see a lot of platforms
popping up
RWA space in Red 3 now.
So I just want to caution some people,
and this is not a busy show,
this is just in general, right?
The TCG space,
for those that aren't in it it's it's uh right with a lot of like fraud fraudulent cards and and all kinds of stuff and now there's
all these platforms trying to seize the meta and jump into the space. So please just do your research before you start jumping into all of these new TCG platforms.
I shared an article from Simon.
He's, for those that don't know,
Simon's been in the space a long time,
invested in a lot of companies,
really smart guy, very in tune.
I shared it in the Purple Pill.
Like just do your research, please.
If you're going to start exploring
all these different RWA TCG platforms.
I don't want anybody to get burned because as it gets more popular, just like we saw with NFTs, there's going to be bad actors coming into the space.
Good call out.
Appreciate you sharing that.
I did pin it up top for anyone who wants to do the further research.
Simon says, I originally thought i was uh missing something as a big fan of on-chain
collectibles and exotic rwas dug deeper to see if i might be missing something i wasn't
they originally launched as an on-chain comics marketplace but now seem to be pivoting into cards
to chase the current hype what's worse is the back end their swap pool base only has 7 800 of
liquidity in it how exactly they're supposed to buy back a grail pool with that? Either the pool gets drained instantly or the randomness behind the gotcha
isn't nearly as fair as it should be. At the same time, they're flexing millions in revenue in 60
days. But when I had clouded in lies the smart contract that actually receives the gotcha
payments, the picture looked very different. Total process volume since November has been
only $120K. As of today, the activity is basically non-existent, maybe missing
something, but nothing comes close to justifying the current price action or the FDB. Most of the
volume appears to be coming from PancakeSwap, which isn't exactly helping the overall picture.
Collectibles market is very difficult enough with middlemen and counterfeits. Blockchain was
supposed to solve these problems, not make them worse. Stick to platforms that were around before
the hype and have proven reputation for a reason. Don't fall for long tail platforms trying to extract maximum value from the current hype.
They definitely don't buy their worthless tokens either. Good call out. And yeah, I think
you're probably exactly right. We likely see a lot more of these before they go away due to
just, you know, unfortunately when things get hot, and right now RWAs,
in particular collectibles on chain are very hot,
there's likely to be many more imitators.
Now, could someone come along
and build a great platform today?
Yeah, sure.
But do your research.
And I think what Simon did there,
like all of you can do that as well.
You don't have to be a blockchain detective.
You don't have to be a ZACXBT to do some basic research. The ability to do research today
is greater than any time in human history. No exaggeration. Like whether it's Claude or
ChadGBT or Grok, whatever you use, ask it information. Like have it do deep dives.
Investigate this at the smart contract level.
Investigate the team.
There's a lot of information, D-Y-O-R.
We need a new acronym for it because, yeah, do your own research, but do it assisted with
AI and you can get great answers.
You can get a lot of good information.
And then when you do get those answers, share it.
Do what Simon did.
Do some research and then let other people know, especially if you catch something that's a not even a red flag or yellow flag.
Sometimes you might do some research, catch a green flag. Share that as well. Go ahead, Joey.
Well, I got to walk away. The kids are the kids are being a little loud.
Um, the biggest thing I would say, you know, when you're looking at these different platforms
The biggest thing I would say, you know.
is you want to confirm like ownership.
Um, it's really easy.
We're starting to see, which is a completely separate subject, but we're starting to see
aggregators pop up where you're able to like monitor all of your collections on one website
because you can connect, you know, collectorector Crip and BZ and Courtyard,
and which is super cool.
But some of these platforms are also just aggregating
from eBay and all these other sites
and they don't actually own the assets.
And so it's really important too, to check the ownership
and also check the security.
Like where do they keep these assets?
Because, you know, one of the early questions and I, and I, I love Riggs for this.
Riggs is like, like he challenged when we, when BZ launched and he, he like had all these
challenging questions.
He was like, what, you know, where are my assets?
What happens if this happens and that happens?
And, you know, our partnership with Brinks is a
big deal for us. But where do these people hold these assets?
Are they holding them in their in the founders garage or are
they holding them in a vault? Do they actually own these assets
or are they, you know, telling you read the fine print, right?
Like you're chasing a grail that, you know is not it's on ebay that they're just going
to go buy once you pull it or you know to simon's point do they have the liquidity to offer these
buyback percentages and you know just do a little research and make sure you're safe because like
cap said there's going to be more and more of them popping up. And yes, there could be some incredible platforms, but just, I kind of look at it the same way I looked at when I was buying NFTs is like, you know, I went, I would look with a little bit of skepticism and it was like, prove me wrong versus like, I trust everyone.
I think that's, I think that's why I think it's a good way to do it.
I think that's why I think it's a good way to do it.
And Maria, thank you for sharing your hard pivoting here.
But thank you for sharing your PO app because I have not looked at mine for a while.
And you prompted me to plug in my address and go back my memory lane for a bit.
And it was kind of fun.
I'm going to start back June of 2021.
The first PO app I invented was Guild of the Guardians Founders Badge.
Whatever happened to Guild of the Guardians?
Are they still building?
Are they still around or no?
I have no idea.
Seemed pretty cool at the time.
Early to that, like, I don't know, multiplayer role-playing game.
Multiplayer? MPROG? MM. MM. Yeah. MM. multiplayer role-playing game and mpog multiplayer mprog mm yeah um then a zen garden i got a rare zen bonsai i got a got a po-op to prove it uh i don't know why i have a 10k funks po-op but i do
i've got a uh episode from the cuttingting Edge from G Money. I should have stuck
with that because if you'd collected so many po-ops, you got one of the 9 DCC passes that at
one point I think were trading for over 10 ETH. I got a ZED HQ opening day one. We've got the first
ApeFest, ApeFest 2021. That's a pretty cool po app um uh i'm glad to have that one in there
met the po app representative uh at that same time at uh nftnyc i think i was on the ape fest
yacht i believe the yacht party wang and yang and no idea what that is uh but like next some vcon
2022 a couple of those our first live coffee with Captain at NFT NYC.
That's a special one.
We should do something for our co-op enjoyers.
I did meet NFT Bark at NFT NYC as well.
No idea who...
Oh, I do remember Dion.
No idea what RU Ready is.
I'm going to keep moving here.
A few other memorable ones.
Girl in the Verse.
Shout out to Girl in the Verse.
Did collect some 9DCC ones from the shirts.
We had a Coffee with Captain Discord edition.
One of the days spaces went down, we kept the streak alive.
And this is courtesy of Outer Looming Callaway here.
We had a Daily Dosers for the uh the rc fans out there we had
daily dosers coffee with captain crossover uh i think i think someone was saying brian carson is
what actually caused poe up to sunset um i was gonna ask what was just what was it that was
posted in the war room like are they they're not are they sunsetting completely or
are they they're they're yeah no new po apps uh they are going into uh they're going into maintenance
mode uh per per steve yeah so no new po ass but they're not turning the platform off so all your
your pose pops are safe you don't have to move out anywhere like you do nifty gateway by the way you
got like a month left to get those nfts off there um another live coffee with captain at vcon 2023 um fucking friday our house the holder survey po app and then
uh our uh coffee with captain special saturday show when yuga acquired proof that was one of
our largest shows ever we had over 10 000,000 people out of spaces for hours.
I don't know how long we ended up doing that one.
It might've been like, it might've been eight hours.
Wild to think how much excitement was in the space
when Yuga acquired proof.
And then ultimately what came to be
or didn't come to be there.
And then last one is ApeFest 2025.
So fitting that we go from the first first Ape Fest, all the way to the last one kind of bookends my POAP
journey. And I will pull up the actual actual news article here
in a second. But Joey, while I'm pulling that up, go ahead.
I always felt that there was value in and like what poap was building i i know it was
talked about in the war room about how like whatever they built wasn't something proprietary
or special i can't remember i'd have to go back and look but like i always thought imagine if you could geofence your like let's say you go to something like um a music festival
like an edc las vegas or a lollapalooza or a coachella and you could geofence the stages
and every time you went to a stage to listen to an artist you you would open up the POAP app and it would recognize you
were inside of that geofence.
And then you could mint a commemorative, you know, like I saw Eminem live at 2021 Coachella,
Or I saw Calvin Harris live at EDC Las Vegas in 2024.
saw calvin harris live at edc las vegas in 2024 and i and i because we always talk about how like
nfts you know steve would say like you know the idea of putting these things on chains that you
could find your you could easily find your real fans right like your your biggest loyalist fans
so like i always thought there was value in that but i don't know if like is it i don't know I don't know if like, is it? I don't know. I don't know why they ever ventured out.
Or did they try to venture out of web three? Did they try to?
I don't know. I don't I don't know if the tech was ultimately that great. I don't know if it
was really that defensible. And they just they struggled to scale outside of the outside of the
space. I think they probably also struggled to monetize.
I'll pin up this article here. I did pin it up top from Isabel.
Looking forward to POAP's next chapter.
Cool concept. And I agree with what you said. I think there's a lot more they could do there.
But yeah, starting March 16th, it's in maintenance mode. Maybe, what is that, 14, 15, 16. So maybe if it's still live on Monday morning,
maybe we'll mint a final coffee with Captain Poep.
But if you're looking for an alternative,
may I suggest Otherpage.op.xyz.
You can mint badges over there and do a lot more with them.
But yeah, kind of sad, I guess, that they couldn't make it. But at the same time,
I don't know where they were heading. So I appreciate how they're doing it. Appreciate
the sunset, leaving it in a maintenance mode, not shutting down the platform, just no more
new PO apps. Let's do this. I want a quick, we'll do a quick coffee break and we come back on the
other side of the coffee break. We'll jump into our daily market update. Joey, if it happens to,
uh, if the coffee break happens to end before I get back, the mic is yours, but I should,
I should be back in less than a minute and 22 seconds. Don't go anywhere. We got market update
and going to explain how this gold Bitcoin ratio is signaling the bottom. We're about to rip.
Stay tuned. Thank you. I am back.
Just took me a second to get,
thank you for being ready to fill in there,
It took me a second to get the cans back on.
Shifting from,
how do you drink your coffee?
Do you use like a regular coffee machine and Nespresso?
Just drip, drip, drip, drip coffee machine most time yeah i've got i got a pre-order in on the um
i don't know what they're calling it basically like the no plastic one that was it was former
spacex engineer left quit his job at spacex and um went to go make a, you know, build this all stainless steel, all glass, no plastic
involved. So I have one of those on reserve. So I don't know when it's supposed to ship though.
But yeah, as of now, just a regular trip coffee machine for the most part.
I know I need to add one here in the office, in the studio, but the coffee break is dual-purposed,
so I'll just leave it at that.
If you know, you know.
Before we get into Aave and the $50 million loss,
and actually, we'll dive a little deeper on this gold ratio.
High-level markets, before we get into the actual daily market update,
Iran's new supreme leader came out, just made his first move,
basically saying the strait is going to stay closed.
Oil flew back up again.
Brent crude, I don't understand how all the three different oils or four different oils,
what's the difference in them?
But anyways, Brent crude was back up over 100 for the first time since 2022.
This whipsaw continues. Oil spiked to 120, retraced to 74,
backup now over 100.
I don't know how long this is going to last,
but it doesn't seem like anytime soon it might end.
I don't know.
But they're clearly using this, the straight,
and reducing the supply.
20% of oil flows through the straight and 17, 18% of liquid natural gas flows through.
And it's not, so it's not just oil prices.
I know like, yes, I'm the electric car driver that feels like an elitist because I'm not concerned with gas prices,
but I am. I'm not naive enough to think it doesn't impact global manufacturing,
food supply chains. It impacts far more than just the price at the pump.
Hopefully, something normalizes here sooner than later.
this year sooner than later.
Poly market, the prediction market
is still pricing in no rate cuts next week.
Probably they're politely accurate at this point
because it's like 99% no change,
which is pretty wild.
But this macro stuff is going to continue.
This macro stuff just continues
to add this global uncertainty.
And it's hard to see things really, really ripping until some, like, either A, we settle
into some long war, hopefully that's not the case, or there's some sort of resolution.
resolution. But what it's open, everything's for sale. My badge, my I may be a title sponsorship,
although it's gonna have to be someone that is just like Switzerland in the space like a Po app,
a kid. But yeah, everything, anything's for sale. If anyone wants to, so when you say right shoulder,
this shoulder here, so we're talking like right up here door this
area. I should give some love I don't think I've ever given the
full tour. And I promise we'll get to the market update right
after this. It's not great because you can see the
reflection of my ceiling fan. But this is an amazing painting
from the one and only crypto painter fan friend, not just
friend of the show, but real painter fan friend not just friend of the show but real real
life friend a big fan of crypto painter one of my favorite digital artists uh in the space i'll see
if i can grab the digital version the nft version of this but my ape is featured uh right there it's
the one that's jumping on the Moon. And this is mine here.
This is maybe my favorite ApeFest poster from Vegas.
Actually, ApeFest 1 is going to be my favorite.
ApeFest Vegas is second favorite.
The poster art was well done on that.
And I will, I think I can reach, maybe not.
We've got the whole stack.
Like I could hang these.
These are like ApeFest.
These were ApeFest, was it two?
Yeah, ApeFest two, where there was four nights.
And so they did a different poster each night.
I've debated.
Guys, help me. I don't know if you can still hear me.
Help me just determine. Pain, help me. I don't know if you can still hear me. Help me just determine.
Payne, I actually had this conversation.
Is it too cluttered if I just fill the wall with posters?
Not just ApeFest posters.
I also have some nice old-school Lollapalooza movie posters.
And as you can see right now, it's mostly Web3, mostly crypto stuff.
I do have the World Series and the Super Bowl stuff over here.
My daughter's art, her first piece she meant on Super Rare is up here.
And then not pictured, debating whether
I put this somewhere, is there's a, this wasn't, this was a part of a channel letter sign from the
phone repair company I founded before we merged with CPR cell phone repairs called Phone Surgeons.
And the PS with the stethoscope was the Icon logo. So I have a lid, kept one of those,
the actual, you know, 10 foot, 12 foot long channel letters was to be too much to hang on
a wall. But this one I'm debating hanging up in view at some point. TBD, whether I actually do
that or not. But I, so the wall most likely just says personal collectibles. But yeah, anything's for sale.
Everything except I'm probably not going to put a tattoo on my forehead.
I could be persuaded to put a tattoo on my body of something, but it would not be on my forehead.
Let's go back to Joey and then we'll go to Mike and then we will get to the Daily Market Update.
So regarding the back wall, you should measure the dimensions of the wall and then take a picture of all the different posters slash pieces of art.
Go into your either chat GPT or your clawed or claw, not clawed because now it's claw.
And just say like, I have an empty wall that's, you know, 10 by 12.
Here's all of my artwork and posters that i want to hang
can you organize you know how would i hang this in a way that is tasteful doesn't look cluttered
i don't have to use everything these four were all part of the same event so if we hang one we
have to hang all four and it'll spit out um like options for you like I have friends that
do interior design
using AI for interior design
Dora says dare you to do it without
Claude, that's the new flex
and then last thing
you can get temporary tattoos
so you could temporary tattoo
a sponsorship on your forehead
every episode and
then just wash it off. Yeah, good call. And then we could continue to resell the same space.
I agree with Riss and Dorr. I think this is the move, is either I got to fill the whole thing
or reduce some. I think I need to tastefully put just certain items or just fill the whole thing, fill the entire wall.
I think that's the move is just fill the whole thing or reduce some. I know Hizzi says he prefers
less clutter. And if you look at like a lot of like the professional streamers, it's either often
they will go, it's pretty minimalistic with maybe like a show logo or, um, or, or very little,
like a plant or something, but lighting, you know, they'll have like the, the accent lights,
um, or it's like a bookcase bookshelf or something with a lot of stuff.
So I don't know. I keep going back and forth. I, I, part of me, cause I have the stuff and I
don't really have anywhere else. Like where else am I going to put eight fest posters? Like they're
either going back on this wall or maybe I guess the wall in
front of me, but they're staying in this room.
I'll say that like, they're not going in, um,
anywhere else in the rest of the house. But, um, yeah, Mike,
what do you think?
Do I clutter the wall with everything or do I reduce it and go minimalistic?
Well, I don't think it's going to be too much clutter. Honestly.
I look at the
shelf behind you though, and it looks like there's clutter on the shelf behind you. There's things
that we can't see, right? You're talking like the bookcase? Yeah, the bookcase that's over your
right shoulder. So it looks like you could spread some of that out on the walls behind you,
and then you actually get to enjoy them when you walk in the room.
And, you know, we could see them on the stream and stuff like that as well.
I think, you know, putting everything up is a good idea.
It's not distracting from you on camera either.
It is a background, but it's not overwhelming as a background.
And so that's what I think.
I think you should spread stuff out on the wall and enjoy it.
It's your space.
I agree with Mike.
I'm with Mike here.
I think I might be sold.
I just need to hear that it's okay to clutter the wall and just fill it.
And I think now that I've gotten four professional interior designers to give me the green light. I think, Payne, I think that's the move.
Hizzy, I appreciate the advice on to help the reflection, change the angle.
I kid you not.
We've tried.
I've moved these cameras.
That's actually the wrong one.
I'm sorry.
I've moved the lights and tried several different ways.
I can't reach that one.
I'm not going to do it right now.
And any way I put them, it's actually none of them are facing the back wall like they're
bouncing off the wall in front of me I just I can't explain it uh I need like someone to be on site to
um yeah anyways I digress it is just um it gave me a whole new appreciation for actual producers
no offense to pain pain is the reason i've gotten
this far but people who like produce like real tv shows like it is like lighting and everything
goes into it is like are you saying why do they need all that those boxes and soft boxes and i get
it now like i get it it is much easier said than done if i could make a request i'd like you to put
that that your business
thing up front and center. Cause I think that's a really cool and important part of your life.
The phone surgeons logo. Yeah, I think so. I think it'd be really cool to have that behind you.
Yeah. I need to just need to figure out where I'm going to put it. If I put it on the wall,
um, I guess I'll probably, if I put it on the wall, probably put it in view. But then how?
Because it's not like, whereas the rest, you could go semi-symmetrical.
Then you got a big circle channel it sign.
I don't know exactly where, how that fits in.
The poster pulled top corners away from the wall, not about the lights.
Change the, yeah, I'm not understanding how I could change the angle of the poster because they're on the wall i don't know how to pull
them off the wall and still have them in view uh go ahead mike having been on camera for a lot of
my life i just want to mention there's a second component to the lighting it's called makeup
yeah oh yeah when when when gwrm with cap um gwrm i don't know yeah get ready with me oh okay
um and we watch you put your uh your pre-show makeup on so no i've never done makeup on coffee
with captain i have put makeup on a couple of times uh The first time I ever wore makeup was the first time I was ever on cable TV.
It was a building a successful franchise segment
with Fox Business.
And I had to go to Louisville to record the episode
and it was like myself.
And then I think it was someone from,
a franchisee from Gold's Gym
and a lady who was franchising the flip-flop shop.
And it was an awesome segment.
I'll see if I can find a clip sometimes.
It's like baby face cap with no beard.
I was uncomfortable with the amount of makeup they put on me.
I'm like, am I this?
I don't think I'm like, I don't have this many blemishes.
Like, I don't need this much makeup.
But they caked makeup on me to the point where I felt like,
instead of going to film a franchise segment,
I felt I was like at a drag competition.
No offense like that. Like, I'll enjoy a drag show as much as the next person,
but it's just not my journey. I'm not one to like, I've also worn a dress before and competed in a talent competition, but it's not something I do as like a hobby or for fun. And just,
I felt uncomfortable with makeup, just caked on my face.
And then, and then I looked like, like not on camera. I look, cause I'm, I'm pasty to begin with.
I'm, I'm white as a t-shirt.
Um, I was, it was just not, it, it, like on camera, it looked fine.
Off camera, it looked ridiculous.
But anyways, now that you know I've worn makeup and a dress, we can continue.
Anyways, now that, you know, I've worn makeup and a dress, uh, we can continue.
Thinking how I can pivot from makeup and wearing dresses into the Daily Market Update.
I mean, if you're in a fraternity in college, I mean, let's be real.
Anyone who was in a fraternity in college at some point, if you were in college in a fraternity in the late 90s, early 90s, early 2000s, you probably wore a dress.
I don't think I ever did in college.
Mine was high school.
That's what I should add to the back wall are the two largest trophies I have in my life.
They're like three, four-foot-tall trophies.
It was from winning.
My sophomore year, I was runner-up.
And then my junior year, I uh Mr. Fearful Union competition uh won at both times as um we did a a uh a grease lightning skit
I was Olivia Newton-John in a blonde wig and a tight black mini dress and we slayed it we crushed
it like place was in stitches and I was the first underclassman in the history of our high school to
win uh Mr. Fearful Union as an underclassman in the history of our high school to win, uh,
Mr. Fairford union as an underclassman. So yeah, Joey, I don't know what kind of fret you're in,
but mine was, mine was all high school. Uh, we did grease my senior year. We did grease my
senior high school too. Um, yeah, I was, I was out of the dress phase by college.
All in good fun. I'm, I'm really struggling to figure out how I pivot from dresses and makeup
and whatnot. Okay, I'll help you out then because I listen to you guys every morning while I'm
getting ready for work and all that kind of stuff. And I rarely come on and ask questions or speak.
You guys know way more than I do. And my question to you right now is, how is this affecting the Bitcoin price? Because it's
kind of going down a little bit, and then it pops up a little bit. And I know the president tweets
something out, and then oil prices go up, or they go down based on something he says. And
it's crazy for a guy like me out here. I don't spend all my time in the space. So it's
it's kind of hard to understand it. Great question. I will get to that in one second.
I will tell you how it's all this is impacting the Bitcoin price. It's up a little bit. And not only
the Bitcoin price, we've got some other runners on the day. Joey, I'm going to grab something per
Katie's request. So go ahead and then we will you gotta gotta keep continue the uh the questions of bitcoin price and how we're gonna land this plane
with the daily market update but go ahead joy yeah i i was speaking of like pricing of things i was
reading and watching i i um they said it's quite possible that what's going on, we might see like $7 a gallon in gas.
It was already eight in California parts.
I mean, in South Florida, we typically have solid gas prices and we're at $3.75 already.
But I guess it depends on where you are.
I think national average maybe is what they reference as we could see like $7 because of what's going on in the Strait of Hormuz,
we could see like $7 because of what's going on in the straight of Hormuz,
which is also obviously tied to oil,
which is also tied, you know, what the,
the price is going up and down. It's, it's,
it's crazy what's happening right now with all these prices.
And then I don't know if you saw what Hizzy shared,
but the difference in all the oils is like sulfur content and there's something
called sweet versus like it's my dad was in the oil business for a really long time and um but
most of it is is based on like the cleanliness of the like the different names are mostly based on
like the the cleanliness of the oil and like what's contained in the oil makes sense thanks
for the education today again we're learning a lot today on coffee about a lot of things um only
because katie asked this picture didn't happen this is try to get without a reflection this is
like so the talent competition included a talent portion it included a like a tux or uh um whatever you had to model basically a tux from local tux place
and then my buddy nick was played john travolta i'm behind him there in the the video if i can
find the video that is the real banger uh but you can kind of see you can get you can get an idea of
uh of this skit that was performed. How was it recorded?
Was it recorded on VHS?
Oh, yeah, VHS days.
I was going to say, we did a Rocky Horror Picture Show one where I was Dr. Frankenfurter,
and I had to wear like one of the, you know,
like an outfit like this, and I still have,
it was recorded on one of the mini VHS
because it was like a handheld one,
and I still have that, but I don't know.
I guess I could send it off to get converted to a digital file, right?
Yeah, I needed, I should have done this a long time ago because those VHS,
they only have so many, like so long of lifetime and then they just go out.
So I don't know. I have the VHS somewhere.
I don't know if I can still convert it or not.
But yeah, there's, I think I've shared this before,
but the broken leg with the rod and a couple screws in it.
Let's see the other pictures in here.
So I go from black dress to broken leg pictures.
Anyways, Katie, if I, like this weekend, here's my weekend.
I've got a reggae rise up tomorrow.
And Sunday I'll be recovering, fixing up the back wall, putting hopefully Monday morning,
you see movie posters and eight plus posters and maybe even a old logo sign on the wall. And
I'm going to see if I can find these VHS tapes. And if I can, I will get them digitized and it'll, yeah, this is now my,
something I have no reason to do other than for this show, but I think it's worth it for the bit
that all of you can see me in a tight, not just see me in a tight black mini dress,
but I crushed it. Like it's probably my, it may now that I think about this, I'm unpacking this
on the show, that those performances
very well could be why I do this show today.
Those performances could have gave me the confidence
to speak in public.
Might have been why I led sales teams
and a national franchise brand,
all because I had the courage
to sport a tight black mini dress
and perform in front of my entire high school.
Not just perform, but absolutely
crushed it. Yeah, Diabolito, I know
the kids don't even know what we're talking about. We've been saying VHS.
For those of you not from the know, VHS
is what we used to record things on.
Before we had the internet, before we had digital
files, before we had MP3s,
before we even had CDs,
we had cassette tapes
in VHS, and we watched things
on a VCR, or if you're really old,
maybe even a Betamax. But yeah, this is I don't remember what does VHS stand for?
I don't know. Good question. I'm sure sure Claude or Chad GPT could tell us video
home system. I don't I really have no idea. Yeah, the photo album itself is showing my age, right? Like having an actual photos, like printed photos,
that in itself is showing my age.
And yes, I'm sure, like if you weren't really wanted
like the whole week, so if that was on a Friday night
or a Saturday, I don't remember what day of the week it was,
I will say that Thursday night prior,
we watched Friends at 8 p.m. We watched Seinfeld at
8.30. And then to celebrate after the talent competition, we went to Blockbuster and rented
a movie. Oh, heavy metal minting today. I did not mow this. And I actually did buy a heavy metal and
converted it or staked it so I can get an Evo 2 or a pet. I need to do that.
Do we know, Simple Farmer, how long is it open?
Do you have to do it today?
Is it open over the weekend?
How long do we have to participate in this phase
or this phase of heavy metals?
And maybe...
You were right.
Video home system.
Video home system.
Hey, how about that?
What could guess?
Open for a while.
Okay, good to do it.
Opens at 12 noon approximately.
Thanks for the heads up.
Appreciate that.
And yeah, we will be participating.
I may even see,
not only if I can find the VHS,
I might have a VCR somewhere in storage, and if so, I might
just watch some... I might
bust out the Mr. Fairford Union
competition. I might
bust out the football...
high school football highlight
videotape.
It could be a really...
a real nostalgic weekend
on Sunday.
All that being said, it's time for the Daily Market Update.
Let me do a proper play in here.
We've got to give our producer, I almost call him producer T-Pain.
We still need Payne's rapper name.
But while we're playing in the Daily Market Update,

Big fans of Duca and the team over there and appreciate their support.
That said, this market update we're going to get into here, Bitcoin is ripping up 3% of the day.
ETH is up 3.86%.
That's now Bitcoin at $72,729.
Man, I wish that long didn't get stopped out because I would have let it ride.
But such is life.
I should have reopened. ETH up to $ up to 2147 bnb up 2.6 uh xrp up three percent solana up four percent
up over 90 now 91.13 even cardano up 5.89 percent of the day doge up 5.66 percent of the day the
only one given some gains back is hyper liquidquid, but they still remain up,
they're barely, they're basically flat. They still remain up 23% on the week.
The big winners there and absolutely love to see it. Before I go to NFTs though, I want to
flip over to Hyperliquid. And as I mentioned yesterday, talked about shorting Zerebro and
Aventus. They're both down, they were down 5%. They bounced a little bit down 3% of the day.
This is, I think, going to be my new trade is just look at what bounced the biggest.
Now, Trump up 50% of the day.
It's up because they just announced that there will be another luncheon or dinner or gala or something
at Mar-a-Lago for holders. I don't know the details. I don't know how many you must hold,
or I have no idea around it, but it bounced 50% on the day. Because that just got announced,
I may not feel like shorting that today just because it could have more of a pump in it.
It's just kind of a different animal in itself. VVV up 25% on the day also because they have some stuff going on.
I may not short that one, but once we start getting into Turbo, up 20% on the day. Melania
up 19% on the day just by default. I don't think there's any utility like there is with Trump. I
think it's just bouncing like as a beta to Trump.
Render Dude up 18% on the day.
Now they do have Doodle AI Studio or whatever launching next week.
So maybe there's some syncs and some use case there.
Mudang up 17% on the day.
Popcat up 10% on the day.
There's a lot of big meme winners.
It's a little different heading into the weekend, but I am versus longing ETH or Bitcoin or, or something that's already ripped.
I, I, I think I'm in the mode of, I want to buy dips and sell rips, but even one step further,
I want a long dips and short rips.
So if you're me, you can give me financial advice.
I'm not going to hold it against any of you.
Which of these memes should I short?
Tell me in the comments.
I may just roll with the chat today.
Whatever is the most mentioned short, I may open up a short.
I can't do it live on the show
because I gotta take a quick trip to the Bahamas.
But as soon as I can get out of the country,
I'll open up the short.
Which should I be shorting today?
Turbo up 20% for no apparent reason
seems to be at the top of my list.
Maybe Melania,
because I do think it's just a beta trade on the Trump pump.
Not sure what render is.
Dude, if it wasn't for AI Studio next week coming,
I would probably be shorting the 18% rip on that.
No offense to Dude.
It's just usually you see some sell-offs,
especially where you've got a lot of holders
waiting for a pump.
Mudang might be on the list as well.
A lot of holders round-trip their gains and might be
looking for any sort of relief rally to get out. And some pretty wild, I mean, the Trump volume,
$54 million a volume, $13 million of open interest, VVV over $10 million, Turbo almost $5 million
in volume in the last 24 hours.
I wonder if there was something else there.
Render, 5.4 million.
Melania, a million.
Dude, about half a million.
Mudang, about a million.
Tau up 15% on 27 million in volume.
So yeah, what?
Maybe PopCap maybe.
And also on the 10% move with like half a million in volume,
I feel those could reverse just as quick as they ran up.
Fartcoin, Zane, I'm not going to short your precious Fartcoin,
but it is up 10% as well on 11 million in volume.
So yeah, let me know.
Of this list, what should I?
Pingu also, I just saw it.
Where did it go?
Pingu up to 9.11% on the day.
Brett might be a good one to short. That is
a, as far as I know, that's a scam token, but it pumped to many billions. So I could see that one
retracing pretty quickly. What of these do you think we should short today? Let me know. And I
may just very well follow the chat's lead on this one, but I will be doing this. I'm going to be
shorting one of these for sure, because I didn't follow my gut yesterday.
I should have sort of shorted Zerebro and or Aventus, and I didn't do either.
And I could have continued the winning streak and said we just put it on pause.
That said, we're going to shift over quickly to NFTs, trap up our daily market update.
Hypers up 6% on the day, 439 hype.
Pudgies flat down half a percent to 4.26,
apes up one and a half percent to 5.45, all the mutants down four and a half percent to 0.78,
dx terminal giving up their, their voyage pump, grifters up 15% on the day up to 17 ETH,
little pudgies down a percent, 0.8% to 0.47. Milady's down 2%. Good Vibes Club's down 8% to 0.74 after a big pump in an anniversary celebration. Normie's down a percent, but still
0.05. Creep's down 2%. Pinguish down 16% after their big pump. Heavy metals, talking about mint day here, up 8% to 0.1 on the mint activation to
get your PET or your Evo 2. I'm probably going PET. I'm not really sure, though, but I think PET
might be a better, at least in my brain, I say it's going to be a companion in other side someday.
I kind of would like the PET. Moonbirds up 2.2% to 0.97. Quirkies, basically flat down 0.1%, but still 1.17.
That's our daily market update brought to you by Awaken Tax.
Head to Awaken.tax for your tax software.
Use code RETURNCOFFEE50 if you're a returning user,
or just simply COFFEE50 to get $50 off your subscription to Awaken.tax.
Hans, thank you very much for the Pingu tip. Beepic,
thank you very much for the Aborian tip. Beepic says short Melania. Yeah, I fully understand that
Crime Coins could run. I'm not going to short Pingu. I'm holding some, and while I could, I
guess, open a short as a hedge, it's one I'm rooting for. And I think, um, I, I do think it still has some, some running in it.
You know, as we're on this before I completely leave the, uh, market update section here
today, I do want to check wrecked coin to see, uh, if it's done anything in the last
Um, it basically flat in the last day.
It's basically flat in the last 24 hours.
Still remains down 8% of the week.
They announced their collaboration with Moonbirds and Burb.
Simple says Mudang.
Yeah, I think Mudang is maybe in my brain.
That might be the one because it was little volume at pump double digits.
And I could see a lot of holders that round tripped wanting to take their gains.
So we'll keep an eye.
But yeah, let me know any of the chats.
I'll catch up on all of them.
I may not shout it out on the show, but all your comments do get seen and are appreciated,
especially when you're giving me financial advice like which one of these scam pumps to short.
I was going to pull up Heavy Metal.
Was the...
Did we find out, was the Burb game...
Was that real?
Was that just a troll or a shitpost? Do we know? Do we find out what is? It's like a flappy burb, which would make sense. The game is a bit silly, plays
into a lot of community lore, which is a huge part of co-creation with verse 8 in story protocol.
yeah, I guess just like a Flappy Burb-esque type game.
I don't know.
They did just announce
their... What did just announce their...
What did they announce?
They announced...
Oh, they announced the...
I just saw they changed their thing to RecGuy.
Love to see that.
They announced they got the RecDream coming.
And I don't know what the Solana thing is.
Woke up Burbish.
That rec drinks collaboration is going to be live on OpenSea.
Love to see that.
And you'll receive an exclusive Vibes TCG car as well as those rec drink points.
I thought for sure I saw, where's the story? Maybe Spencer sent out the story protocol announcement.
Because I don't know what.
Okay, yeah, here it is.
Burb just is an IP.
Burb is a brand that is being expanded daily into on-chain assets, physical products, community,
In 2026, there is no way for brands to get ahead of their competitors without using AI,
which is exactly why we've partnered with Story Protocol. And we've been talking about the story. assets, physical products, community, and more. In 2026, there is no way for brands to get ahead of their competitors without using AI,
which is exactly why we've partnered with Story Protocol.
Still don't know what that means.
I guess more coming soon on that.
I thought that was a deeper announcement,
but that's all I'm finding.
If anyone has any more info on,
I think that Flappy Burp game is real.
I think that's one of the things
they launched on Story Protocol.
But I'm just a little confused.
Yeah, thoughts and prayers to any Miami, Ohio fans after their loss?
I think they still make it, would be my guess.
It would be a shame if they didn't, but I really don't know.
Long Greninja and Rayquaza.
Are you being serious, Bepic?
I've not heard of either of those,
so I don't know if this is a troll
or you're being real.
I do think Mudang
is probably going to be my short.
A couple people have said Mudang.
I think that'll probably be my play,
unless anyone talks me out of it here during the show.
But let's do this.
I mentioned this gold-Bitcoin ratio.
If we're measuring against gold,
if we're talking about the four-year market,
it might be in.
Now, this article I'm going to share here is, oh, they're Pokemons. Okay, thanks.
Thanks, Payne. Yeah, I should be, well, I don't know, be careful. Be careful if you're longing
Pokemon at this point. I thought you all were smart, and I was FOMOing some Pokemon bags until yesterday.
And yesterday, we got the Holy Trinity of top buyers in.
We had Logan Paul, Kim Kardashian, and Steve Aoki doing Pokemon pack reps or buying Pokemon cards.
I mean, not one, not two two but three top signals all in one
like proceed with caution like we i'm old and i've been around long enough i was here during
nft mania and without fail it was like programmed if steve aoki came in and bought usually swept or
bought some grails like instantly if not within 24 hours the collection crumbled like it fell apart
he marked maybe every like you there there's like it's not an exaggeration you could probably go
back to every like blue chip or every nft that's still relevant and he might have marked the top
on every single one of them like a magical touch like he was the jim kramer to n NFTs and Kim didn't help much. And Logan certainly
didn't help much. So yeah, be careful there with Pokemon because Kim and Naoki were opening packs
with Logan Paul. And I think that is about as many top signals as you could possibly get in
one picture. Yeah, I would say this, and I know nothing about this arena, but with Pokemon pumping as much as it has, with now getting the celebrities in the game, I would be looking at One Piece or Yu-Gi-Oh.
Am I saying that right? Yu-Gi-Oh is like the poor man's version of Pokemon. Am I saying that correctly? Yu-Gi-Oh.
Am I saying that correctly?
One of you collectors or game players needs to tell me.
Maybe even like Magic the Gathering.
Like some of these older IPs that aren't Pokemon,
I'd be looking for the beta if I was making those moves.
Again, I know nothing about it though,
so please don't follow me in there.
I'm not actually making those moves.
But I did say it correctly.
Blind Squirrel. Blind squirrel.
Blind squirrel finds a night every once in a while. So I have a few of these. Market corrections over.
I mean, it's ugly. If you look at the past year, it's really ugly. Gold is now up trading over $5,100 an ounce.
That's up 77% in a year.
Never thought I'd see the day.
Gold's up 77% in the year.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin is down 50% from its high.
That spread between those two is at a level that has historically
marked every major Bitcoin cycle bottom. The Bitcoin to gold
Z score is approaching negative two, a level that in prior cycles has been generational buy signal.
In this week, spot Bitcoin ETFs reversed two weeks of outflows with 450 million in net inflows.
Yes, the bear case is loud, especially with all this macro stuff, but the charts
might be saying something different. So yeah, up 77.7% in the past year to all-time highs.
Got banks buying, central banks buying, got geopolitical safe haven, dollar diversification,
while Bitcoin's down 50% from its 125k peak in October. And this divergence is an extreme.
peak in October. And this divergence is an extreme. So I will give you a couple of glimpse
into some of these. This is from Coindesk here. Historically, Bitcoin bear markets have lasted 12
to 13 months, suggesting a potential downturn in late 2026 if priced in USD. Bitcoin market
could be nearing, potentially bottom could be nearing as soon as next month
when gold is, when priced in gold. Historically, Bitcoin bear markets the last 12, 13 months.
Global uncertainty, obviously rising tensions and capital rotation
had contributed to BTC's weakness against gold. So it's like the whole digital gold versus gold,
not sure that thesis is playing out, but here is a little bit of
charting for the chartors out there and could be more to it. It's not just Coindesk. BitGet
saying the same thing here. Bitcoin undervalued relative to gold decoding this Z-score signal.
Again, score pled below negative two,
a significant threshold. Historically, when it approaches or crosses this level, it often
marks a local bottom for Bitcoin's relative value, again, relative to gold. Consequently,
a mean reversion where Bitcoin's price appreciation outpaces gold typically follows.
This pattern is not coincidence, but a reflection of market psychology and capital rotation between perceived safe havens and risk on assets. You got this gold Bitcoin Z score
combined with the, this is maybe the most annoying thing on the internet today is cookies. I don't
know if you can see the cookies on the stream or not. It doesn't look like it, but so annoying.
I can't get rid of the cookie warning, even though I'm trying to accept it. It still won't
let me. Anyways, just more, more supporting. Now I'm frozen. God damn it.
Mike, if you can hear me, go ahead. will try to unlock uh unlock my browser in the meantime
yeah i can hear you um so then just as a as a let's pretend i i know absolutely nothing and i'm
six um what i hear is if you have gold and you've made some profit here, the thing to do, possibly no financial advice, right? But
the thing to do is to take some of that profit and rotate it into Bitcoin at this point.
Yeah, potentially, or at least maybe if you have other assets to move into Bitcoin as a potential
hedge, in case this move does happen, I think a good portfolio is both gold and Bitcoin, or includes
some gold and Bitcoin. But yeah, if you crush the gold trade and you sold out your Bitcoin at 125k
and you rolled it all into gold, now with Bitcoin being down 50% from those highs and gold continuing
to pump to new all-time highs, just that in itself could be a reason to support rotating some of
that back into Bitcoin. If you're a trader, if you're a long-term investor, just keep dollar
costs averaging both and zoom out. But yeah, if you're trading these assets in the short term,
very well could be a time to rotate back into Bitcoin. I'm a little biased, but does that make sense?
Yeah, it makes perfect sense. And I think I'm a little biased too. I think I would rather
bet on the long term of Bitcoin than most other things. Of course, who knows what's going to
happen based on what's gone on the last month and a half. But I agree with that, I think.
Yeah, and I guess that is the,
quite frankly, Trump's all this is,
we could be talking four-year cycles,
we could be talking gold and Bitcoin Z-scores.
I think it's, they're all over,
like they're all Trump by the geopolitical stuff.
They're all Trump by the, and I'm not using no pun intended,
by what's happening in the Middle East, by just like there's so much uncertainty in the world
that I think that could change all this stuff, at least in the short term.
Now, over long enough time, I think this stuff probably checks out.
I just don't know.
Now, thanks, ProofAlphaDegen.
We're getting the coffee with Captain Pump.
Bitcoin now over 73K, ETH over 2100.
It is, we're getting that famous
or infamous coffee with Captain Pump this morning.
So you're welcome.
Hope you open those up.
There's so many people buying Pokemon, 10,x, the NFT volume. Yeah, I agree.
You're also talking here, so I think it's important to remember that Pokemon is 30 years old.
NFTs as a, at all, the technology is, you know, five, six years ago.
And I, you know, I just, that's not saying that's what happens with NFTs in 20 years or 25 years, but it takes a long time to grow IP. It takes a long time to build a collector base like that.
Be Epic Ads, One Piece did a three to four X in a couple of months. The collector base like that um be epic ads one piece did a three to four x in a couple months the collector base is stronger for pokemon they are kid friendly uh crypto is pumping no way
pokemon retraces not financial advice pokemon is way more fun than gold yep probably not wrong
there um yeah you can all see the cookies just reject all i that one didn't have an i didn't
have an option to reject all uh and the other time sometimes i open up these articles like that and
it's like i may as well open a virus on my browser because it locks things up and freezes the stream and everything else.
So I'll attempt to be better at that in the future.
But my apologies for the poor screen share there.
Shifting away from gold and Bitcoin and Zscores and bottom being in. I mentioned in passing, token for 2049
canceled. I don't really have much more to add on that. It's got to be the wise move. I would
imagine they've just backed in a corner. Tough spot for the organizers to be in. Probably didn't
have much of a choice, quite frankly. I don't think many people would have attended out of
just an abundance of caution. It's still an active conflict in the area. And unfortunately, that area is still being hit by Iranian fire.
The other thing I hit on earlier in passing that I don't have a whole lot to add, but I did want to
share because I've seen some people talking, actually recently, someone was talking about
what happened to the Pudgy ETF. Well, they pulled it. They withdrew it. I didn't see this till
yesterday. Tat Thang says, there will be no SEC decision on the Pudgy P, well, they pulled it. They withdrew it. I didn't see this until yesterday. Tat Thang says there will be no SEC decision on the Pudgy Pingu ETF today because the filing was quietly withdrawn
a few weeks ago. The listing application, and it goes on the list to have that application number,
was withdrawn on January 23rd, just 16 days after the extension everyone covered. Every document
on the SEC page now shows withdrawn on January 23rd. Quick
timeline. June of 25, CBO files the Canary Pingu ETF, was the first meme coin and NFT hybrid ETF
on January 7th. This year, the SEC extended the decision deadline to March 11th. And then on
January 23rd, the filing was withdrawn, which means that March 11th date this week that everyone
was waiting for, already dead in January.
Important nuance, this isn't a rejection.
ETF filings get withdrawn and refiled all the time.
Bitcoin and ETH ETFs went through multiple rounds before approval.
Also worth noting, the S1 registration is still active.
Only the 19B for exchange listing application was withdrawn.
Where things stand up today, the application withdrawn, no replacement filing yet. And that March 11th decision was
irrelevant. So people are asking, what happened? Where is it? It's because it was already withdrawn
weeks ago. Meanwhile, Pudgy continues to do what they do. Retail distribution, brand activations,
360 billion views. Talking gifts there, I assume. ETF or not, the IP machine keeps running.
But if you're waiting on March 11th news, now you know why nothing came.
And they show a screenshot here of it being withdrawn on January 23rd.
So I don't know.
Do we think we get an actual meme coin in NFT ETF?
Do you think they refile?
Or do you think it's done?
Curious what your thoughts are. I
would imagine they refile. Otherwise, they probably would have pulled the whole thing.
But I really, I don't know. Not an ETF filing expert. So your guess is as good as mine.
What else is on everyone's mind today? We've got Mel in the air, GM to you, safe travels. Hope you have a great flight.
We've got, oh, the 50 million lost.
I guess I should hit on that.
I mean, I guess I feel bad for, I don't know, bro fund or whoever was just wild.
What happened yesterday if you missed it?
A user lost over $50 million in a single swap. They attempted to swap $50.4 million from USDT into Aave.
And instead of $50.4 million worth of Aave, they got $35,000 worth of Aave.
Accepted a high slippage warning on mobile. This stani.eth is the president or CEO of Aave.
Earlier today, a user attempted to buy Aave using $50 million USDT through the Aave interface.
Given the unusual large size of the order of the Aave interface, given the unusual large size of the Aave interface. Most trading interfaces warned the user about extraordinary slippage
and required confirmation via a checkbox.
The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device
and persuaded with the swap accepting the high slippage
and ultimately resulting in only 324 Aave in return.
The transaction could not be moved forward without the user
explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox.
The cow swap routers functioned as intended and the integration followed standard
industry practices. To which I would say we got like, should they have been swapping
on mobile and checkmarking this stuff? No, but man, this is not great. They did sympathize
with the user. We'll try to make contact and return the 600,000 in fees collected.
But the key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless,
allowing users to perform transactions freely,
there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users.
Our team will be investigating ways to improve those safeguards going forward.
I saw, I'm trying to find, there was another article someone had shared about,
shared about they did some wallet investigation on who the affected user apparently was.
If anyone knows what I'm talking about,
drop that in one of the chats because I did see it.
I had it pulled up earlier, but when I was closing tabs there,
I inadvertently closed it.
But it seems to be potentially some money laundering angle, potentially.
I'm looking for it, sorry.
If anyone, I know it was shared somewhere because maybe it was in the Coffee with Captain chat.
Let me scroll back.
I just had it pulled up. Here we go. Yes, Diablito, thank you very much. Found it.
$50 million Aave wallet has a name now, and it makes the story even worse. I'll be straight.
The laundering theory is suboptimal at best. KYC, Binance wallet, and routing 80% of the value to
entities that are
hard to coordinate with and impossible to guarantee is a risky way to wash money.
But look on chain dropped this. 13 wallets traced back to Garrett Jin, former CEO of Bitforex,
the exchange that fake volumes, had 57 million private key leak, quote unquote leak,
got a fraud warning from Hong Kong and shut down. He sold $543 million
worth of ETH and $761 million worth of Bitcoin in mid-February. The dates match exactly when
these wallets withdrew stablecoins from Binance. One wallet shares the same Binance deposit
address as Jin. So the poor guy fat-fingered it narrative is now a guy who ran an exchange that collapsed
under fraud investigations, who also moved 1.3 billion in crypto weeks earlier, opened Aave on
his phone, saw a 99% loss warning and tapped confirm. Cal's routing function that should
catch insane quotes was hard disabled. One builder pocketed 34 million in a single block.
And we still don't know why
someone with this background would do a $50 million collateral swap through mobile UI
with zero slippage protection. Not claiming to know what that is, but it's not a fat finger.
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense, especially someone of this background.
especially someone who, you know, of this background.
Very interesting.
We may or may not see more on this.
Some of the comments here, I would say,
it's quite indirect evidence.
Too many ifs that it's Garrett.
Pretty sure he could have fat fingered
if I had a smoking gun to my head
and had to say what this money is.
I'd say someone wanted to quickly pull liquidity
from Binance using unprepared individuals.
The current geopolitical situation
and arming all articles in Wall Street Journal
lead to conclusions, but I might be paranoid.
Valid point on the evidence chain.
The timing plus geopolitical angle is interesting.
Fast capital flight through unwitting actors
could explain the urgency over efficiency.
Yeah, just wild. I did see a funny post as well. I will attempt to find it.
Talking about disclosed promotions. And now I'm not, there we go. Yeah yeah I don't even think this was the original post I think someone else
actually this is a copy copy pasta but I'm not going to keep looking I'll just share the
the one that Twitter served me up uh yeah that there's a funnier one
basically someone was saying like I can't believe all these KOLs didn't disclose
uh didn't disclose their paid promotion.
Because it was, and it wasn't paid promotion.
They were just engagement, talking about the trending topic of the day and driving some engagement.
But it was a post that included all these screenshots that you can see here of all the KOLs talking about the $50 million loss.
And yeah, the other funny one was, imagine you lose $50 million and you hear
moo, because if you ever use CalSwap, when you complete a transaction, it moves at you.
Anyways, I should be laughing at someone losing $50 million, but there's smoke, there's fire.
And I just think that's probably not a good actor. Who knows? If a real actor really lost
$50 million in that way, I do genuinely feel bad for them. But I'm guessing there's other information that played into this that we're just not privy of yet.
couple of other, like maybe some evergreen, um, evergreen topics, uh, some alpha for y'all today.
Anyone that has a tattoo or you want to get a fake tattoo, uh, you can get your local Chipotle
today between 3 PM and 4 PM. I believe Eastern, maybe it's local time and you can get a buy one,
get one free entree from Chipotle just for having a tattoo. I have no idea what that has to do with Chipotle or tacos or burritos.
But yeah, if you've got tattoos,
you can get a buy one, get one free at Chipotle today
on Friday the 13th from 3 to 4 p.m.
Thanks for sharing that, Von Fronten.
That was a key piece of information
I wanted to make sure I did share with everyone today.
I was debating on whether going into the
more on the Miami of Ohio
and their,
their basketball strife,
but I won't,
they just,
they were undefeated in the regular season,
lost in the quarterfinals,
the MAAC tournament,
the MAAC is not a powerhouse
and very well could,
we'll just say unlikely
to get two teams into the tournament.
Proof of Alphadee,
welcome to the stage.
You got like 60 seconds maybe for me.
can I step away,
refill the coffee one more time and I'll be right back. Or did you just come up to aura farm?
Oh yeah. Sorry. I mean, I was talking to myself, you know, 100% you talking to the man who would
talk your audience to sleep. So yeah, you got 60 seconds. No man, they won't be asleep, but I
appreciate you. Appreciate the air cover. We'll be right back. Welcome. And I can't hear you when I
step away. I'll turn the, I'll turn the volume up i hope i hope they can hear me i hope you don't believe you're
the only one that can hear me if anybody can do you get any echo on your end when you start talking
or no no echo at all bro i'm on a cell phone though so i don't know you guys with all those
uh road casters and the god mike that jesus christ has you know that that's hey that's that's a problem
that's not a phone problem i don't think but uh but definitely brother appreciate you jumping up
oh yeah i uh i definitely wanted to to speak to the uh chipotle thing one of my daughters
messaged me the other day and says dad hey can we this? And she sent a text message, and it was concerning the Chipotle thing.
So I said, well, what is this?
Well, come to find out that their campaign has to do with the tattoo thing about
or concerning their promotion.
And their promotion, they're saying that people on social media are saying
that their promotion looks like a bunch of tattoos on the page.
And so whatever that page is or that that promotion, it does look like a bunch of just kind of almost scribble tattoos.
And so they leaned into it. They said, you know what?
We'll just say if you have a tattoo and show us a tattoo when you come to the register or, you know, come in and place your order, then we'll give you a buy one, get one free opportunity.
And I'm like, oh, my God, my kids want tattoos.
But they saved us with the with the temporaries because, you know, I won't let my kids get a tattoo to go get a Chick-fil-A to go get a meal from Chipotle.
So whatever that is. So whatever whatever that means i mean i see uh
dobbins down there dobbins may have one that he can go flash to him so actually i don't know they
may even take um they may even take uh some other forms of tattoo uh proof of tattoos because you
know some people have them in areas that they can't show them.
So I wonder if that's a thing where they might say, well, if you show us your picture of
your tattoo on the bottom of your foot or your ankle or something, then you'll be able
to get in one like that.
I did get some more details on why.
And Grok says, yes, it is true.
Chipotle's tatted
like a Chipotle bag bogo
is what they're officially calling it.
So apparently, I mean,
yes, the Chipotle bags,
as you can see,
they've got words on them.
So the promo is actually tatted
like a Chipotle bag bogo.
Runs today from 3 to 4 p.m.
And show any tattoo, real, temporary, or drawn on in store
to buy one entree, get one free, up to five per check,
one per tattooed person, not for online or delivery.
So you don't have to get a temporary tattoo.
You can just draw a tattoo on your arm.
This is my tattoo, and you can buy one, get one free from Chipotle today.
Don't say we never got any alpha or utility here from tuning into coffee with captain
because um while i saw the post i did not double tap i did not go deep into it and i did not know
i thought i was out because i don't have any tattoos yet and i thought i was out of this
promo but did not realize i could simply just draw a tattoo on to Took a good one. My Bogo Chipotle today. And might be lunch.
Might very well be lunch.
I think the fact that you said yet is diabolical.
I just don't know what I want.
I know that people say it doesn't have to be that deep.
And for me, the first one, it needs to have some sort of meaning.
And I thought about it a few times.
Just not sure what I would get.
Probably kid's name or something.
I don't know.
You know they're saying now that that's coming back.
Now I'm hearing a freaking rebirth.
But no, it went away.
You know they're saying now that some of the meta is coming back about people getting tattoos for whitelist.
Imagine that.
Yeah, what a time to be alive.
What a time we lived through in 21.
Just crazy.
There's some people that have some wild tattoos out there that probably have a little bit of regret.
My favorite one is probably Value in Time.
I don't know why I'm drawing a blank on Value in Time's real name.
What about this, though?
What's the guy's name over the unvaulted?
The one who's in Arizona, the bike man.
The one who fixed the bikes.
Ernest can go in there.
They're going to give him a whole franchise.
Have you seen this guy's tattoo?
Oh, yeah. Ernest might actually be gifted a Chip're going to give him a whole franchise. Have you seen this guy's tattoo?
Ernest might actually be gifted a Chipotle franchise.
I don't know why I
can't find...
some of you know who I'm talking about.
Value in Time...
He's Doc, so I don't mind sharing his name out loud.
I just can't think of his real name.
This is bad. I actually met Value in Time at the, he's Doc, so I don't mind sharing his name out loud. I just can't think of his real name. This is bad.
I actually met Value in Time at the very first ApeFest in line.
Probably not going to find a picture, but he got a moonbird tattooed on his quad.
I don't remember why he got the moonbird, but he got...
I should have known about it before I started
I should have known about it before I started scrolling his feed.
scrolling his feed.
We just lost our PG rating on
YouTube. Sorry, Payne.
It's taking a lot of willpower. Not because
I care to see you.
It's this bit here.
Hawk Tua. I'll just leave it at that.
Yeah. Yeah.
I'm going to spit it out like Tourette's later
when I think of his real name.
Anyways, back to the point.
Point being, he got a Moonbird tattoo on his thigh.
I don't remember why he exactly got it,
if it was a bet or he was challenged to.
But he got a Moonbird on his thigh
when the floor was like 40 ETH.
He then proceeded to sell the thing. I'm pretty sure he got six figures out of his Moonbird.
People were like, dude, you got a tattoo and then you sold it? Like, why would you get a tattoo of
this thing you sold? Pocketed 100 ETH, ends up looking like a genius in hindsight because
obviously the floor did not maintain 100 ETH or 100K. And I think I might have saw he actually
bought the Moonbird back when it was like less than
eth maybe i could be wrong but um yeah what a time to be alive when when uh people were if you
weren't here like people literally were getting tattoos of nfts that hadn't even minted yet and
they were doing so just so you get allow list i'm sure some people you know flip those things for
thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars i'm sure some people, you know, flip those things for thousands, if not tens of thousands
of dollars. I'm sure some other people got tattoos for an allow list that I don't know if everything
meant it out back then, but might have speed ran to zero and might have gained nothing. Like talk
about one thing to round trip your gains and another thing to get something tattooed on your
body and it go to purely to zero. I did see Soul Jakey is,
I think he's selling tattoos on his body for 10K of Pop.
I would have to get the first one,
like a first original,
like one I actually want
before I start selling ad space on my body.
Wait, wait, Cap, please let me stop you right there.
Is he selling like tattoo space?
Like you can get what you want tattooed
on his body for 10K?
Or is he cutting them off his body and
sending them to somebody like a piece of skin?
What is happening here, bro?
No, he's not cutting them off his body.
If you want
your name, if you want Proof Alpha Degen
tattooed on Soul Jaki, he'll do it for 10K.
Pretty sure it's 10K. Price it might went up.
I was trying to find a good picture of soul jakey and his tattoos but i am uh i would just get us further like i don't know if any of these videos are appropriate for our youtube channel that i've
as i'm scanning uh there's got to be one. Yeah, everyone,
every video so far is,
he went viral off of a,
not looks maxing,
but another,
another form of maxing.
uses that word.
Everyone as of recently.
Here, it's like, I don't know if I can zoom in,
but if you don't know who Souljakey is,
you can get an idea of,
he's got like a Pump Fun logo.
He's, yeah.
Yeah, this can't get it any further.
But yeah, 10 grand and you can get whatever you want
tattooed on Souljaggy.
And good one to wrap on here
as we hit the homestretch.
Yep, this is an all of mine, Von Fronten.
I've been doxed.
The one all count I have has been discovered.
I agree with the take.
You don't get rich by diversifying
into 50 mediocre assets. You
get rich by finding two or three asymmetric home runs. No, that's not quoting me. That's quoting
Stanley Drunkenmiller, one of the all-time greats. You just got to find those two to three asymmetric
home runs is the challenge. And when you're doing so, you're like going to find nine or 99 that go
to zero. But yeah, swing for the fences,
especially if you're young, swing for the fences, but do so in buckets, have your asymmetric bag,
have your long-term bag, like your Bitcoin, your gold, your ETH that you just don't touch.
But with your, with your GGen bucket, swing for the fences, open up that 50X long. No one's,
no one's judging. Speaking of longs or shorts, so far it looks like Mudang is what I'm shorting
today. You've got a few minutes to convince me to short something else. Otherwise, Mudang it is,
and we'll write it back down because I don't think these pumps last. I don't think there's
no reason. Maybe the reason that a lot of these pumped is because Trump pumped 55% on the day. And so you start getting attention in other betas, not just Melania, but Turbo up 22%.
Mudang still up 16%.
That's probably what I feel most comfortable shorting.
I might do both.
I might open up a small short on Turbo and a small short on Mudang.
But yeah, I have a feeling by tomorrow morning, SPX up 12% in the day.
I have a feeling PopCat 11%. I have a feeling several of these are going to be
not just giving up their gains, but probably back down below before where they started the pump.
Not financial advice by any means, but if you're looking for some swings,
Hyperliquid is your answer to lever up. uh, lever up. Um, with that, happy
Friday the 13th, everyone. Enjoy your free Chipotle burrito. Uh, buy one, get one free. You can't just
get the, the, the freebie. You gotta, you gotta buy one first, but go get your, uh, go take your
date to Chipotle tonight and get her a free burrito. Um, just, just gotta draw a tattoo on your skin first. I didn't hit on it, but yesterday,
Microsoft made its largest Bitcoin acquisition
since they've announced their new acquisition vehicle.
They added 4,100 Bitcoin.
They now hold 743,000 Bitcoin and more Bitcoin than any nation
state except the US government. So while there's some global uncertainty, Sailor is certainly not
uncertain. The conviction remains. And yeah. Have fun this weekend, though. Go touch some grass.
Don't stay tuned in all weekend to
Iran conflict on X bases.
GVC honorary tattoo, that might be the one, Chris.
If I could draw, I would be drawing a GVC honorary on my arm.
I cannot, so it's probably going to be more like a
stick figure. Yeah, reverse fi. Is this new probably going to be more like a, uh, a stick figure.
Uh, yeah. Reverse fi is this new, new segment here. I'm taking financial advice from the
audience. Uh, you got free reign and give me whatever financial advice you want. And I won't
hold it against you. Uh, I just, I got to hit at least one of those two or three asymmetrical
winners though. So we're not looking for little, you know, 5% pumps. We're looking for either ones
that rip or dip and that we can, we can add up, uh, we can, we can lever up, you know, 5% pumps. We're looking for either ones that rip or dip and we can add up,
we can lever up, you know,
20, 40, 50X.
Yeah, the big stuff.
We're swinging for the fences.
But in all seriousness,
enjoy your weekends.
Enjoy Friday the 13th.
Enjoy your Chipotle
and touch some grass.
Hopefully the weather's nice.
We're at this weekend.
I will be enjoying the outdoors
most of the day on Saturday.
And then Sunday I'm going to be recovering and hanging some art on the back
So don't forget about the heavy metal mitt today at noon Eastern that kicks
off at noon Eastern.
If you're participating in that ecosystem,
we still need to get Gabe and Adam here on the show.
We've talked about doing that multiple times and just haven't landed on a date that works for all parties,
but need to lock that in.
And now might be as good a time as any.
Enjoy the World Baseball Classic.
Enjoy your...
I saw another drone attack.
I'm not even going to share it because I don't, I don't,
I haven't validated. I don't know if it's AI or not, but try, try not to just let your life get
consumed of stuff happening in the world that you can't control. You have no control over. It sucks.
War sucks, but try to, don't, don't let it consume you. It's okay to be aware of and be
paying attention to. It absolutely impacts markets. Just don't let it consume you. It's okay to be aware of and be paying attention to. It absolutely
impacts markets. Just don't let it consume you. Don't let it, don't have to eat, breathe, and sleep
something that's happened across, you know, whether it's across the ocean or, I mean, I guess
it's in your backyard, probably got to pay a little more attention to it than if you've got
an ocean between you. But try to enjoy your time this weekend with some family or friends or just get out and recharge the batteries.
And don't get sucked up into geopolitical stuff would be my real advice other than 40% chance Bitcoin hits 100K this year.
40% chance Bitcoin hits 100K this year.
Go ahead, Roof Alpha Dijan. Take us home.
Go ahead, Proof Alpha Dijon, take us home.
Just saying that, definitely talking to me,
and I appreciate that, man,
because I have been getting consumed by it,
and I just needed a reminder that you got to step back, man.
Life is too short to be consumed with all of this
frivolous, technical, psychobabble, mumbo-jumbo
that you can't even control.
You just got to kind of harness the ride
and do the best that you can. And it costs $ got to kind of harness the ride and do the best that you can
it costs zero dollars to be a good person and uh i think if we do that you know for me i had to
return the monkey i even put my pfp back on and remember that you know life is life enjoy it tell
the people who you love you love them tell the people who you don't love you know you they are
appreciated and they people and enjoy your weekend.
Have a great weekend.
We'll see you back on Monday,
Thank you,
Appreciate it.
Enjoy your weekend.
life is short.
don't spend the whole time paying attention to any sort of news,
let alone doom and gloom,
geopolitical stuff that you can't control.
just appreciate the time we have here.
It's short for all of us.
And I will wrap with this. You talk about the coffee with Captain Pump. Yesterday,
I took another shot at BuzzFeed. It was the, for me anyways, a viral post in 2022. We did the Web2
versus Web3 thing was going, was the first time that copypasta was going around. And instead of
myself, I did Web2 versus Web 3, and it was a picture of
the BuzzFeed chart next to the Bored API Club chart. This was right after BuzzFeed had doxed
Gordon and Garga. Just poor, dangerous. Again, I'm not going to go off on a tirade there,
but just bad, bad reporting. Whether it was paid or not, who knows?
But yeah, BuzzFeed doxed them.
And it was ironic that they were dunking and taking shots at Gordon and Garga, while for
the two years prior, the BuzzFeed labor union had been taking action against BuzzFeed for
unfair labor conditions and unfair pay.
And I just retweeted that yesterday because Web2 versus Web3 was once again circulating.
And today, after my shots at them yesterday, BuzzFeed now reports a loss of $57 million in 2025,
has substantial doubts the business can survive.
It's dead.
Like, how are you losing $57 million creating content in
2026? You're doing it wrong. I'll just say that. Like, you're doing it wrong. Like, people
appreciate and want human content, but you can't be operating a $57 million loss as a content
company in 2026, 2025. Good riddance to BuzzFeed, I say. And by the way, their stock is, well,
the Board of Piat Club floor price is down
from when I sent that post out in Twitter.
Yeah, sure, but it's not down as bad as BuzzFeed.
BuzzFeed continued to decline.
It's down 90 plus percent.
Anyways, enjoy your weekends.
Appreciate y'all being here.
Good luck to the bracket enjoyers,
the bracket builders on Selection Sunday.
Good luck to all the college basketball fans.
I hope your team gets in.
I don't really have a dog in the race,
but I do hope Miami of Ohio gets in.
I think they deserve it.
Undefeated regular season doesn't happen that often,
and I hope they put two MAAC teams in.
I don't care if they both get bounced the first round.
They deserve a bid.
No one cares that much about, I mean, I should say,
people do care that much about the March Madness tournament,
but let them in.
Let the kids play. 31-0 is pretty
impressive. I don't care what league you're playing in, what your competition is. They still
ran the table and deserve the bid. Enjoy the World Baseball Classic. Go USA, beat Canada,
go Venezuela, beat Japan, and hopefully set up a U.S.-Venezuela finals early next week. But with
that note, get out of here. Go touch some grass this weekend.
