and just start hearing a little bit about Coldlink
to make sure that people get it out there.
So, Betty, you know, you've launched something that's really cool. You did it with Psych and you guys have been jamming on this for a bit. We'd love to hear some background where
your head is at. Tell us. Cool. So for anyone that's listening that's new, I am Betty. I'm the
co-founder and CEO of DFC Labs. We created Deadfellas. We have a few gaming titles in production.
One of the most exciting being our TCG Death Touch.
We actually have the first ever Death Touch card featuring a character called Briar in
in a live mint right now it's available for I think another week. Um, you can go to the dead
a live mint right now.

fellas, um, dead fellas account and it's just pinned there. It's 0.0065 ETH, which I think is
about 10 bucks. I don't know. Maybe it's three now with the cost of ETH up and down. Who knows?
Um, but yeah, that's, that's happening's happening but because of the the gaming developments that
we have going um we ran into quite a few issues with um freedom of movement and connectivity and
acknowledging digital asset ownership in game and depending on the platforms and and whatnot you're
quite limited um especially with web 2 platforms where we're in our game testing we're on steam
and it's like okay cool so how do you acknowledge ownership in those spaces but then we'd had this
issue for years where if we had a claim or some kind of perk or reward people would feel really
nervous about connecting to anything but also even delegating because, you know, with
the current delegate solutions available, you have to interact with smart contracts.
There's blind signing.
It's like confusing.
It can be expensive depending on the price of gas and, you know, sometimes not even worth
that.
Like, you know, when you're eligible for some coin or something like that, like I'm not going to spend over $10 or something to delegate and get like $11 of a coin.
Anyway, so there was a bunch of different reasons why we needed to create Coldlink.
We had the documentation designed for it for a couple of years or so now. It was hinted way back in a roadmap illustration that we had as part of the tech products that
we wanted to launch.
And yeah, we just got to the point in our dev cycle where we were like, we really just
need this.
No one has built it yet and we need it.
So Coldlink, for anyone that is unfamiliar because the bloody account got marked as spam.
So it's being, I'm going to pin it to the top here so you can see.

In the first two days, it was mass reported for spam, like botted super hard.
And then we got spam flagged on the account.
And yeah, we did the whole verification thing to try and get it removed and they just kept
it on.
So everything where I mentioned Coldlink doesn't do as well as the other things, which is a
bit of a challenge when you're launching a tech product that literally changes the industry, but that's okay.
So Coldlink is essentially the world's first completely universal wallet agnostic, chain agnostic verification tool.
So it allows you to connect any blockchain address to anything else without any smart contract interaction or blind signing.

So what that means is you can connect,
say your ETH wallet to like a ticket number
issued from Ticketmaster,
or you can connect it to your username in Fortnite
or your Discord username or another wallet,
say on XRP or Bitcoin or whatever.
And the functionality of it is literally unlimited.
We've basically, we launched with Ethan Sol as endpoints for the beta.
And then we're just constantly adding and adding and adding and adding.
So in the last week or so, we added Abstract, Ronin, Cardano, Tez, Bitcoin, XRP.
What else?
A bunch.
There's loads.
And we've got our first Web 2 endpoints being announced this week and next week, which is very exciting.
So it basically just tears the walls down between Web 2 and 3.

It allows you to reward for digital asset ownership on chain
in any environment that you inhabit,
whether that is a Web 2 game, it can circumvent iOS.
It's very exciting.
And the process has been validated by multiple different security experts
in the space, and we're really excited.
Stoked, yes. Love hearing people building new ideas. It sounds a little bit different than
current existing solutions. Sounds like it's maybe what you send something from a transaction.
So you're not actually interacting with any kind of contract. So it's kind of like when
on OpenSea when you verified your profile
just by typing something in your profile, something like that?
So the process that it uses is a microtransaction tracer amount
that's serialized against the wallet that is requesting the cold link.
So to put it into, I guess, Web2 terms, it's a similar process,
but not the same as like when you're verifying ownership of a bank account for PayPal.
So it works like that. Now, that is, it essentially means that there is, yeah, there is no
signing permissions. There is no blind signing and there's no interacting with smart contracts. So you can link to anything risk-free, which means that
communities that were previously quite hard to activate for casual things like, like punks,
you can have those guys register for events. You can, they can claim like you know free shipping on stuff psych says that
you could um cold link a fidenza for a free hot dog and that's like the the level of casual
interaction that I think lends itself to people having fun in the the space being able to
participate at any level and feel um is a really important thing. And especially
this point in the cycle where we've got a lot of really cool stuff, like teams have been building
for a long time, you've got a lot of things being released, people want to participate in it. But
that level of participation is impacted by, obviously, you know, the way people don't feel safe to to do it I know I don't like I I would
never link my wallet to anything before this like I just would not I found all of the other solutions
really confusing I didn't like that you would have to remove the link afterwards or remove the
delegation um you know none of them support all of the other chains
and all of the other wallets and it's so it just kind of felt limited whereas now like the freedom
of movement is really bust open um which is awesome and you know I think that hopefully
we'll see an increase in um in participation rates of the fun things that all of these cool teams have been building.
I love that. Hopefully I don't get rugged. I'd like to ask a question crossing my fingers here.
I'm curious if you guys obviously have been working on this.
I know one thing we've talked about in the show before is the backend versus the front end,
all the wires behind the scenes.
Are you guys working right now?
Are there certain developers
that are already working to implement this?
I'm just curious, are there any,
if you have any examples of where people
are utilizing this right now
or plans to utilize it to make the UI
so much easier on the front end?
Yeah, definitely.
So there's loads.
The team that first implemented it actually before we'd even announced it,
they had already basically figured out like how it was going to work in their ecosystem.
As a kid called Beast, they integrated it into their reward system internally. So it basically means that they
can cold link to their point system and they can claim and do all of that stuff without any risk.
We've got other groups looking at integrating it for all of their discord servers so with cold link um you essentially all you would do is create
a cold link to your discord username uh once and you can create a cold link for as little as a day
to as long as a year um basically you would just cold link to your discord username for a year and
then um wherever whatever discord you're in, permissions and roles would just
be granted based on the holdings of the wallet that you've cold linked.
So there's no more confusing processes or signing anything or anything like that.
So that replaces that.
We've got groups creating basically their own events portals where you can call link to existing systems that are already widely used.
So, you know, like a Luma RSVP or whatnot, which means that you can easily verify holdings.
lot of groups um integrating it into their gaming developments because now you can essentially
create a web 3 game in web 2 platforms um without any special infrastructure or changing the systems
of of the web 2 platforms um so like you know if you've built a map on fortnight or if you've got
a game in roblox like we've built a game in Roblox
that I'll be able to speak about a bit more soon,
we can identify our holders in Roblox and they can access special things,
which is cool.
And then the reverse rewards flow from in-game in Web 2 games
back into Web 3 is a little more complicated but is also possible.
So that's really cool.
There are a lot of people, oh, there's exciting things like you can create
with this, you can negotiate, I guess, relationships at a chain level.
So it can go down to as granular as a project where, say,
Deadfellas wanted to deal with Spotify or whatever.
Like we could create that so that you can token gate,
I guess, music releases or whatever you want.
Like that's all possible now.
But you could also go all the way up to chain level.
So like the Solana Foundation or the Ethereum Foundation or whatever,
they can use Coldlink to go and broker deals.
Like, okay, so if you've ever traded on Solana you could
get access to this special frequent flyers program with Delta or I don't know I'm throwing ideas out
you know what I mean but all of that's possible now it's not like hypothetical there's no we could
maybe do this in the future like Like all of that is already possible.
So it's really exciting.
It allows user acquisition campaigns
across different chains for different games.
You could be like, right,
we want the top 1% of players on the Ronin chain
against the top 1% of players on Abstract.
And you're going to go head to head on, you know,
some game that you're hosting in other side, like you can do all
of that now. So yeah, it's really exciting. And there's so many different applications that come
from it. So we're looking forward to seeing what people build on it. But we've also got
some more really exciting developments as a direct result of Coldlink.

This is a pretty cool database, Betty.
Is it open for linking?
Can the database link anything right now or do you need to roll it out?
For example, could I link my, I'm just going to exaggerate, right,
but my car to this database?
Yeah, so we're rolling it out as we go because we're in beta. We need to basically
ramp with it being two weeks old or whatever. So we started with just ETH installers endpoints and
ETH installers endpoints. And then we're just going adding and adding and adding based on
demand. But yes, you can link to your car.
You can link to anything you want, really.
And the API access is available.
So if you're a developer and you're listening and you're like, well,
I want to build on this or I want to see what I can make on it,
the API keys are $10 on the Coldlink website, just Coldlink.xyz,
and you can go and see what you can do
there are some things that we haven't announced as endpoints that you'll be able to to find there
but um yeah it's it's just going like that really it's very exciting we have um actually an AIP with
um Ape Chain under review right now um to facilitate um a a portal directly for for
a chain which is cool so it would be able to link everything on on a chain to everything else and
vice versa which would be very very um useful especially for the people that are not within
you know yuga that are like building just on ape chain or and made by
apes as well very cool for them because you can link to anything like say i say i was in made by
apes and i'm like right i've i've got this bar on the on the beach and i want to give free drinks
to anyone that has a yuga asset or or an on ApeChain. The people can essentially just cold link to a username or a code word
where the owner of the Web2 venue or the IRL venue
just gets a CSV file of people that have cold linked that day
and you can identify people very easily that way.
How that works in your own system is just dependent on your own system,
but it's just so easy.
So, yeah.

And another thing I just want to give you a shout out for, Betty, is you're throughout the bear market.
You've been a personal inspiration because I know you've had a tremendous focus on, um, self and personal health and just making sure to stay focused
and not get down during the bear market.
So I just, um, if there's one thing you could, you know, give before moving on to PP man,
I'd love for you to have a chance just to share like your biggest lessons from the bear,
especially when it comes to mental health, because I feel like you are a living example and a huge inspiration for a lot. I need to do a better
job. So what are some of the secrets about making sure you take care of yourself in a market that's
so turbulent like crypto? It's actually so hard. It's so hard, you guys. I'm not going to lie.
It's been a huge challenge.
I don't think that I would have survived the bear had I not really put this focus on myself
to improve myself.
Because when I'm in a situation where I feel not in control or there's elements of my life
or my experience where I feel like, okay, I don't have
control of that. I get really distressed. And when I can't predict something, I also really don't
like that. And when we were in the bear and, you know, things were kind of really unpredictable,
it's always predictable in crypto, right? Whatever. But, you know, in a negative way,
it was unpredictable in the bear
and then you know we had a lot of things go on on like we at dead fellas had a movie um in
production with fox um and we were set to be like the first web two web three brand I guess IP um developing something at that level and it was just the most exciting
time of all time and then Hollywood um collapsed into strikes and everything got torn away and it
was just like the craziest most distressing thing on top of the bear and everything else and I was
like okay and I'm also feeling as unhealthy as
I ever have in my whole life because I had thrown just all of my focus and attention on work,
which is so easy to do when you're passionate about something, right? But like you start to
lose yourself and you also start to lose your efficiency and everything else. So I was like,
right, I just need to be as healthy as I possibly can. That's something that I have control over as I'm being watched around in this crazy
world. So I did. I just, I doubled down on work, but I also doubled down on working on myself and
prioritized sleep and nutrition and working out and getting sun and everything that
Craig was talking about before as a way to, um, have a healthy balance. But, you know, I'm,
I'm not just the CEO of a, of a company. I'm also a mom of three young kids. I'm very, very busy.
Um, so it's just been nothing but amazing for me. Um, and I'm really proud of myself and um you know the results that come from hard
work I think it's visible in in many ways when you do that for yourself like for me obviously
you can see the changes that I have physically a bit um you can also see a lot of that positive
kind of flow over into everything that you do like we have just so much good stuff going on, um, at Dead
Fellas and at Coldlink. And I just feel like it's all kind of one big picture when you're working
on yourself so hard like that. So yeah, I would encourage anyone that's listening just to make
little positive changes. Don't look at it as one big picture because that's intimidating. Like if
you can go to bed an hour earlier, do that, drink more water. Yeah, that's my advice.

PP Man, I'm curious, what advice do you,
there's so many people, and I was one of these people,
who are in the Web3 space.
This is more relevant in 2021, but I think people still get stuck in it.
They ask themselves, how do I get involved? People that maybe don't have a technical skill,
they just are excited about NFTs. What was the key to being one of the first Yuga employees and
just being able to get involved in the space back in 2021 and still to today? What's your
recommendation for people to stand out in the crowd and to make a voice for yourself?

So many ways to stand out, I think.
I think so.
By the way, going back to your comment about one of the first employees, like Ugo employees, thinking about it it feels like 10 years 20 years that i've been at
you but it's only been what three and something three and a half that's insane um but i'll tell
you like a little bit of like how i got involved in um what my recommendation would be to stand out
but um if you go back to 2021 when i first found nfts i'll be honest it was a lot about just speculation it was
very um just like understanding trying to understand this like new trend that was going
on and it was over financialized and it was fun but one of the things that made me and by the way
my ape the way that i got it was I won it in a raffle.
And the reason that I kept it rather than just like look at it and be like,
well, I'm just going to sell it was because as soon as I stepped into the discord, everyone was helpful.
Like I think Tropo was one of the first people that just like said hi and just
like cheered me joining without even knowing me of course.

But he was so helpful just sharing what I should be looking for next
or where to find information.
And sure, you can take the shortcut of being loud
and perhaps controversial, which, of course, has a lot of pros.
I'm not saying that a little bit of drama is bad.
But if you learn and you are consistent with,
you know, pushing your, your boundaries of how much knowledge you have and use that knowledge
to whether it's onboarding, helping, or just like sharing that with other people, I think other
people take notice. And that's the way, in my opinion, that's one of the coolest ways to stand out. Not only because it's effective, like people will notice you, but also you're, you know, contributing rather than just, which I love drama, but creating drama.
Yeah, I couldn't agree more.
trading coins back in 2018 before nfts and it was always depressing because you you know unless you
were part of the team it was hard to feel like connected to chain link or to to like light coin
like there are communities there but it wasn't as special as like with the nft movement whereas
you know artists it's like lots of different talented people not just technical uh like
blockchain people and so i felt like nftTs were really where I felt like I could,
you know, integrate and find a community. And that's what I felt was so special about the NFT
space in general, still do. And you know, the comment that one of the catchphrases of Yuga
back in the early days that still stands out is that that Yuga wanted to bring culture to the
blockchain. I feel like that's really what NFTss like the mission is is to bring culture to this evolution uh in the world and and so i'm
curious what you think that means like what is culture on the blockchain what is what's different
about uh like today moving in is i mean you know some things probably about what what yuga's been
up to but what how do you see things changing in like the next five years versus where we've been?
How much easier is involved to feel like part of a movement instead of just like trading a coin?
Yeah, I'll focus on next year, next year and a half.
Five years is such an insanely long term time to think.
But even because you mentioned that you used to trade coins
back in 2018 which by the way i did too i that's i got started like in 2017 and it was just fun on
coinbase i wasn't actually even using a meta mask until like late 2018 um but back then i think there
was something like 3 000 coins going around that was it Like even with the ICO craze of like 2017, there's just 3,000 coins. If you take a look at the coin count, and I'm sure that
the data that I saw probably missed a bunch of coins, but there's more than 37 million coins
in existence right now. So my point being is that we're taking into so many directions,
like we're being pulled into so many directions for as consumers of these
tokens of these like,
you know,
communities were being pulled into so many directions that having a very
strong foundation is what I think that makes,
you know,
that culture,
that community survive.
The best example that I have in my mind is I mentioned that I,
as soon as I stepped in into the Discord back in 2021,
it was probably like May 2021.
I wasn't there for April, by the way.
I got in in May.
But as soon as I stepped in, people were helpful.
And the other day, this was actually yesterday,
I minted – or over the weekend, I minted the Mentotors on Ape Chain.
And I stepped into a group chat asking, hey, how can I – because there's a way you can shave the beard of your Mentotor.
And I just asked around, like, hey, how can I shave its beard?
And three people just popped in within literally a couple seconds just to help out. And I guess what I'm trying to say is having that strong foundation of everyone just like being able to hold hands, push forward together, um, is what keeps that foundation
solid for, you know, for people to build on top off. I think that that BAYC, um,
cultural foundation, just like translated over to Ape Chain.
Yeah, a hundred percent. And Ape Chain has embodied that in every single way in like embodying the movement of just accepting and having fun.
And it's so much easier when, you know, the transactions are so fast and so cheap.
It's a lot easier to do that than it was in 2021.
