account tweeted to use warm wallet or delegate cash and you will be able to mint from if you
use these services you able to mint actually to your hot wallet and it should be safer and you
can also play from that hot wallet and the the surpass is tied to the wallet so if you send it to another
wallet after that the score that you played i don't know if it just lowers or if you start from
zero but it's it's probably better idea to keep it in one wallet so you still have a time to think
about it and decide how you want to do it i will keep all the passes in one wallet and play from that because actually the schedule is quite good for us.

know the the score will be zero or lower so it's correct so i guess so i guess that person would
then have to mint and you're you know so if you have a score of, say, 2,000
and you send it to somebody else and they score 1,000,
then that's the score is 1,000
unless they send it back to your wallet,
which then the score is back to 2,000.
But yeah, I can see a lot of that happening.
I'm not sure I agree with that,
but I'm also, you know, I don't have a real job,
so I'll be playing it a lot.

of all the colors i did not expect to see that i was expecting for us to maybe be like 1000 2000
first week and and it's been just like we've blown past that i guess people really want to
know if they have a rare a rare hound of sorts that's at least been my experience like people
love the the ghosts and the golds

of like dj-ing vibes and we were just all excited in all the chats and and everywhere just just
looking at the art and sharing among each other and and i know like the discord of of mutant
cartel was just you know on fire and it was amazing.

And I was listening to our show lately, the show that we did in August when you actually just announced the Hounds, you know, and you were only like partly speaking about that. And it's a great listen, you know, like to listen back to it now after some time and just just to see what came through and what actually did happen.

that we kind of really, I think,
have been hopefully defining over the last
year and three months.
And it's just been super, super fun to see something happen also in the NFT space.
It's really dull.
It's been really dull over the last 10 months.
And now coming into hopefully what feels like a new period, I feel like the meta is changing.
People are a lot more refined with what they like a new period. I feel like the meta's changing. People are a lot more refined with, you know,
what they like about NFTs.
I mean, every now and then you'll have the odd like feed pics,
pixelated form that somehow, you know, will get sold a bunch.
But I think like beyond that, like people are back to like the art,
the art the the stories uh the universes that are being created and um no it's just super nice to
the stories, the universes that are being created.
to see how how well um it's been received so so thank you for for the kind words but
but honestly like the community's really really shit hot right now like whoever stayed throughout
like 2022 um and is still here now are just dynamite community members, builders,
like everybody cares about this as much as the other.
And I think it's really, really nice to see.

Yeah, look, I'll try to say very little on any of the things you just listed.
But look, I think, so from the perspective of the collection itself,
like the collection itself and some things have been said about fusing uh we're gonna keep it
and some things have been said about fusing,
super you know uh i guess pretty secret for now but but it is something that we're working on i
feel like look just going through your journey as a as a hound i think needs to feel really special
because ultimately just collections have been a little bit too stale. It's a do or die, right?
So it's either your community and everybody else just markets you into some kind of a place.
Or you can actually introduce new things that bring more value to your collection, your community, your holders.
your holders and so we're going to try to do that um and and the whole again just for 2023 like
And so we're going to try to do that.
being a hound is going to feel really different in all kinds of different ways um but yeah there's
there's there's more collections that we're dropping uh there's there's there's more stuff
that is coming out and the fusing the fusing uh might have to do with one of these these these
things uh which i i think i'm really
really excited about and then in terms of like you mentioned games and gaming like we so we're
hardcore gamers over at the team um we have been like i'm gosh like biggest gamer nerd uh for my
first 15 years of existence but uh it all i I think what we're trying to do
is also transcend the current Web3 gaming meta
and bring it into a mass market.
I think that there's a lot of cool stuff
about IP storytelling and Web3 game dynamics
that you can really kind of combine.
Until now, it's been explored
and I think there's plenty of awesome people doing you know spearheading uh but there's also like
a choice that we'd like to to bring into that um but again so like 2023 it's more about experience
it's about experiences and about like telling the story and creating like a really fun environment
to be around um so that's the alpha i'll the only alpha i'll drop like we're building like a
fucking universe uh it's gonna feel different it's gonna there's gonna be tons of different
experiences to it uh both from a collection standpoint both from kind of like a utility
standpoint but also from a yeah just just different environments that we're uh currently
exploring and are really really deep um conversations about and uh we're currently exploring in our really, really deep conversations about.
And we're getting really close to the ship.
The one thing that I can like promise, I guess that's the biggest alpha and I'll be done
talking is like, we're going to ship way faster than people realize.
So the next like two, three months are packed with activity.
And I feel like we're going to drop in two, three months what many collections until now have not been able to do still
in two years or more.
So, yeah, I'm just super, super excited for that.

and I see many people already creating stuff.
I see Reda doing all these crazy animations
with hounds and other people are using that. Like, do you think we're going to see hounds being also
or people using the IP? Let's say, I don't know, we're going to see physical products that we see
with mutants and apes or how this is going to go in terms of IP? Yeah think we're gonna see a bunch um and again so whether it's it's like
you're you're playing with hounds in in the metaverse or in specific games uh that that's
like something we're going for but also in the real world like the the entire brand i think has
a lot of like cool natural collect connections to other brands in the space, big brands in the retail world.
And we're already exploring a lot of that stuff.
So in terms of like merch, you can expect the next piece of merch from us to be just fucking great.
And that's just because we're, again, like having fun creating with other great people from other great brands and companies and communities.

we've got a lot of stuff working um like in the works right now for physical products um
that ip i think is going to be leveraged by us but then also the rest of the community um and i
think it's going to come in all kinds of different ways obviously like merchandise but but not

like you know you can do that so i don't know man like that's gonna be big and small uh we're gonna
hope to champion um the big stuff and then for the rest of the community to align around this and um
and then make it even bigger.

And yes, grateful if at any point you feel like getting yourself a Hound just to write them in the other side uh or anywhere else really we hope that that that is something that we can build for you and

been established but am i right in saying that wings um like if if your hound has wings that

my next question is um surely if one of my hounds which it does has a jet pack it could also fly

And that's why like all of the flying traits for us are way more rare because in the experiences that we will create, hopefully that is embedded into, you know, the lore or the games or the missions
or any of the things that you end up going through in our universe.
So yeah, it does depend what kind of hound you have.

Well, firstly, ApeCoin DAO needs onboarding and Catapult provides this, one, a really cool and clean way to learn more about ApeCoinDAO.
And then, two, collect all the most important information about potential contributors and members
so that that can be reflected in some really slick Web3 profiles

is so important. I think the other thing is like the powerful tools to explore and connect,
especially with member management. So the way that now that Working Group Zero is set up and

like being able to vet people, being able to group people and share more context and select the right people for the right working groups is so important right now.
And Catapult does all of this in a really frictionless way.
We've already done this with the likes of Kraushouse, IndexCoop, GMDAO, LexDAO, Bikonomy and a whole bunch of other leading DAOs across the space.
And we'd love to bring our cool insights and our platform to ApeCoinDAO.
As far as the proposal goes, we will provide all of our kind of technology, our expertise,
our service for free.
We're not charging anything for that.
But we have requested 10,000 Ape and this will be used for member incentives.

We're all about, like, creating better systems.
Now, something that could be really cool is to actually bring everybody into the DAO
and on board with, like, all the right information, the ones that, you know,
the information they do want to share.
But, like, creating all these links and, like, incentivizing people.
So instead of saying, like, hey, you're blocked off of of, of ape coin Dow because you don't have one ape coin
actually. Um, which is like the minimum requirement here, come in, like,
you know, sign up and be a part of this network, um, that,
that does run the Dow and, and that's it. Like if you go through that effort,
you're, I mean, you're automatically like a Dow member and there you go.
Like you've got the two eight coin,oin to actually come in and, you know, make a difference, even if it's
a tiny difference or it's a huge difference. You can still kind of, I guess, be invited. So,
so that, that was the only thing that to us were like, all right, yeah, let's request 10, you know,
some kind of, you know apecoin that we can
just give to back to the community without it being weird or sloshy or too expensive but it's
just like hey you know you're signed up you're signed up and now you're a part of us because
you know you did sign up and and um and you must care about apecoin so so i think that that was
something really fun and and like subtle subtle that we picked up on.

for me like something that I would love to find is is like more and more ways to just make things
more simple and honestly like just just better because like right now we're
i feel like we're kind of in the dark so you know having seen like what catapult we're doing i thought
i thought that was like you know one one answer to the issue but um maybe what are what are the
other issues that you guys feel like we're might like might be running into at the infrastructure
level and maybe back to you guys rave and g Greg like what what other issues do you do you feel like you know need to be solved right now for DAOs and and
just how do you see yourselves in like in that entire sphere well first of all just just from
my point I think you described it really well in the description of the thing like the the apes are
very separated you know with some of them on Twitter you've got people in the in the DAO
you know you've got people that go that extra mile that are doing stuff in the dow and then
you've got other people you know who are in discord here and there and what you've got is
like an aggregate at all that's kind of like twitter discord discourse plus some sort of
linkedin all in one um and and also you know for those that are concerned about privacy and things
like that you know you have the right to be forgotten so even if you're gonna you know
put up you've got these NFTs,
you can take that down at any point at any time.
And I just think it's a great way with the two ApeCoin
to incentivize people to actually come in.
And hopefully, yeah, I think they're two of the biggest problems, actually.
And you address both of those.
And that's why I voted on the proposal today.

I think this is one of the biggest problems because uh there are twitter groups or
twitter chats you know there can be up to 75 people but it's so messy i and and the algorithm
of twitter change so i don't see posts from people that i actually know and and follow so
it's very hard for me to stay in touch with the people i'm interested in also as you mentioned
you know creating groups
that are focused on something, it's amazing.
So really having something like a LinkedIn
for NFTs and for Web3, that's amazing.
And for me, the challenges are to stay up to date
with the proposals and understand everything I'm voting on.
So sometimes I don't vote
because I don't have time to study it properly
and I don't want to vote on something that I don't vote because I don't have time to study it properly and I don't want to vote on something that I don't understand because the vote is on blockchain forever, right?
So everyone see it and then they will point a finger at me and say, oh, look at him.
So no, I'm kidding.
But, you know, I want to make time to understand what I'm voting on.
So there are a few problems I have.
And I saw the video that you guys made in Catapult.
It was like two minutes.
That's amazing. And I see more people doing it. And I think that would be really helpful.
We appreciate you guys. And that's a perfect summary of that. But I think the other kind
of key pain points that we're seeing DAOs experience, the first is just like reinventing
the wheel. Like there's very little knowledge sharing that's happening between DAOs. Everyone's
trying to come up with their own bespoke solutions rather than work together collaborate to come up with solutions
together that solve for these best practices so we've done that with onboarding with member
management by working with all these different DAOs and therefore sharing that learning is really
important second is context as you guys said like the the ability to actually know who else is in
the DAO learn more about their interests
and actually develop deeper connections with people. Like a lot of people are still in their
little silos and discords, not knowing who anyone else is, and just doing that kind of key bit of
work. And that's it. The third is in participation, like you mentioned, like bringing tools to Ape
Coin DAO and all the other DAOs we're working with, to make it easier and more frictionless to
participate. So you have the context, then let's say you want to vote in a governance proposal.
Let's say you want to spin up a working group. All of these things can be done super seamlessly
without having to, again, come up with new processes and all of that kind of stuff.
Greg, do you have anything else that you think people are going to find?
think people are going to find a challenge. I just think to reiterate what you said,
I just think to reiterate what you said, and also what Grateful said around that,
and also what Grateful said around that, I think the issue there is so often that people tend to
try to build these really complex tools. And it's quite tough. Leo spoke about the space growing so
quickly. And sometimes some people, you know, sometimes being a bit big for the shoes. I think
that's often a problem here. And what happens is we end up in these siloed tools. We have a tool
for voting participation. We have a tool for this and a tool for that.
And it can be so difficult to keep up to date with what's going on in all these different silos,
as well as bring them together.
And that's really what we're focusing on, making sure that there's that mission control for an individual
who can see everything in one place, integrate everything together,
and make sure it's a wonderful experience be part of it that rather than sometimes a bit overwhelming.

Yeah, and I'm dealing with one of the problems right now because I was really thinking about putting something together
maybe every Thursday like 20-30 minutes

everyone separately it makes no sense right so it's really complicated right now so having a group
would be really helpful because i think it's necessary to it takes time to explain what
apecoin.com is why is it here you know why people should care because a lot of people in this space of course
They don't have a like much spare time now. We're gonna play that crazy game
So you know, there's three weeks no one will be voting probably because we just be put it pulling out the key out of the ass and
yeah, make it easy for people to actually understand and vote or
um explain them that they can delegate and uh you know something like that yeah the success of apes

For sure so a coin doubt will have its own kind of landing page or mission control
um that's hosted by catapult uh people can onboard straight straight into there and this is where
you'll see all of the things related to the dow um i think what's really exciting is how we integrate
across um all of the really cool other dow tools that are out there to really create one like like
that one-stop shop you said.
But that doesn't mean cannibalizing other tools or anything.
If anything, it means integrating with them
so you get the best of Web3 through Catapult
rather than the worst of the fragmentation that Web3 currently has.

Maybe I ask Lior because
you have a lot of experience, you know, what's your vision for ApeCoinDAO because I think we are at the beginning of something
that can be really huge and you know, it can be really something that we are part of and it can be really big in the future.
So what's your take on it? You know where where would you like to take it and help
to push it you know for the future yeah look I think I've been pretty vocal
about like the Dow I mean a big part of my work my broader work in Web3 is really around giving better tools to DAOs.
And I think that, look, I've seen Catapult work for a long time,
and they specifically just made so much sense to me
as this kind of aggregator of everything that a DAO needs.
You might end up using 100 tools or five tools for your DAO.
But ultimately, like a lot of that can happen
through the same interface,
through a shared kind of like, you know,
network effect powered interface.
And that's what I see Catapult as.
So, you know, it's not a social network.
It's not, nothing like that.
It's actually a social network. It's nothing like that. It's actually quite modular in how it can be used later on in Web3
because of all the data that you might be willing to put on this.
And then essentially you could create this kind of passport,
this Web3 passport for everything you do and everything you are on Web3, on-chain.
And off-chain too, right?
But how that affects your on-chain could be quite dramatic.
And so, I mean, in terms of the future of ApeCoinDAO, I think that right now we're still
defining, like the things that we're doing right now will echo for the next 30 years in the world of yeah,
just,
just like distributed teams and,
and decentralized organizations.
And,
and I think that,
you know,
we better learn quickly because I mean,
2022 was a painful fucking year for DAOs.
Let's just,
let's just face that.

Like treasury,
treasuries have dwindled.
A lot of like basic theses around DAOs were challenged. Let's just face that, okay? Like treasuries have dwindled.

So now it's more about like, you know,
let's double down on all the stuff
that does make sense for DAOs.
Let's double down on all the things
that DAOs still need to do to become like the next,
you could say interface for digital communities
of any kind,
right, in the future.
And I think that, again, like it does affect our next 30, 40, 50 years potentially, because
this is where it's going.
We're going towards decentralization.
And so DAOs is just a wonderful experiment right now that I believe will become one of
the largest markets in the world tomorrow.
And when that tomorrow is, all depends depends on the decisions we're making right now and
the kind of white paper that we're writing, in a sense, by trial, error, and participation
in DAOs like the ApeCoin DAO.
And so for me, the ApeCoin DAO, whatever it does, will somehow, in a sense, either define or fail to define the future of DAOs based on all the things we're doing right now.
And the special counsel vote that we just had, I mean, like, goddammit, these guys are so talented and they're working so hard on revolutionizing, again, the space.
But first, starting with the ApeCoin DAO.
And so I have a lot of faith in the DAO ecosystem.
I think that now is where we double down on infrastructure
and still trying to figure out, like, you know,
what the best ways to run these things are.
And this is why, again, like, Catapult made so much sense to me
because I do believe it's
it's a worthwhile investment um it is a part of the future of dallas and and that's why i i back
this um you know this proposal and this team so yeah i i think that's kind of like a a big way of
answering of answering your question but also talking about why i'm excited about talking
about this in the first place and um yeah, and just my general thinking on DAOs and where we are right now.
I think it's so actually fucking powerful what can be done with that DAO.
And the fact that you guys are kind of putting the work in for zero, you know, you're basically doing it for zero.
The 10,000, let's be honest, is an incentive for people to join. and it's not you know it's it's not to to fill your guys pockets i think it's
kind of a no-brainer from that perspective and you know massively inspires confidence in you guys
going forwards really appreciate that that means a lot and we're just really excited to work with
this community and help essentially just help with the tools
and the infrastructure that it needs to really be its best
and to really help shape and define Web3 culture.
What is the timeline?
The voting ends on Thursday, right?

So what's the timeline after that?
It looks like that it will go through. So
After how much time till I'll be able to go there and create my own profile?
Of course, so fingers crossed it goes through which requires everyone to vote in favor and continue to vote in favor
Project kickoff happens on the 19th. So we'll get cracking straight away. I mean, we've already started building stuff out
And getting feedback from this working group zero stewards to really understand like timelines in even more detail about what the needs for ApeCoinDAO specifically are.
We'll pilot it with Working Group Zero and contributors by 10th of February.
We'll kick off a general rollout from the 10th of March.
And hopefully by the 10th of April, we'll have had a full deployment of catapult across a quained out

it doesn't it's really good at learning experiences especially if it's free learning experiences and
so like you know for for catapult you know that that's an obvious no-brainer uh worst case is like
we don't like it we walk back from it i highly doubt that this will ever happen uh but we don't
owe catapult anything they don't owe us anything.
Frankly, you know, they're taking a huge chunk of their resources to make this happen for us.
And so, you know, it is what it is.
Like, they've been building.
You know, they've got a big team.
They're working on this stuff.
They've got venture funding.
And ultimately, like, those are the teams I believe are most successful in this space right now.
The ones that don't need to care about money, the ones that don't need to care about driving returns tomorrow just to pay back some public market. This is why these companies are
so good at growing fast. So look, ultimately, we should also be treating Apecoin, I think,
as a startup, because ultimately, that's what we are.
We're not a country. We're not a federation. We're a startup.
And, you know, I think that Jerry and Vera and BoardApeG are actually coming in as some kind of a, you know, big like three-way CEO, really, instead of, you know, special counsel.
It's just a it's not even a good enough name for what
these guys are doing right now so you know we're
still defining everything and yeah
shipping and doing it quickly is the name of the
game right now and I appreciate that about
Catapult
Yeah I really like that you
mentioned that it's more like a startup
than anything else and that
you know we need to try a lot of things and we need to try them quickly probably.
What do you think that would really help people to vote more?
Because I still see that on this proposal it's like 4.1 million votes together.
Is it that people are not interested or they don't know about it?
They can vote if they own
ApeCoin so you know how to actually help people to vote more or it's all about the delegation of
the ApeCoin what is your take on this man? Yeah I think it's a multi-faceted problem but frankly
like and again I hate to kind of go back to catapult, but fuck, I mean, hey, if you do end up interfacing, you know, with your DAO through this, through this kind of, through this tool, then you'll get a notification every time.
Let's say like, you know, you really are interested in like process AIPs, right?
Then boom, like every time there is a process AIP, you set a special notification for it.
You get like reminded seven times.
It's not just like, you know, it's a part.
And maybe again, if we can integrate snapshot directly onto Catapult,
guys, maybe you can tell me how long that will take us.
But ultimately, like you might never need to really leave
your kind of like DAO interface to do all the things
that you need to do for the DAO.
And so like, that's what gets me excited. You know, that the fact that we can
actually stuff like this can actually help people vote more. And then the next time there's a vote,
it's going to be 40 million, you know, not four, because ultimately like it's best, I mean,
the best democracies are, are run by, by our, when most of the people are involved you know what i mean
um and ultimately like yeah like we still have a long way to go until it is a true democracy but
let's get it there you know let's let's get everyone to vote because and through i mean
that's gonna be through like better tools you can't like escape that fact so you know and maybe
other things too but but ultimately like i, like, I think like at the
cultural level, we need to get more people engaged and look, you know, wanting to vote,
but then it's technical and kind of like the stack level, um, you know, let's work with
catapult and, and, and others again, I'm not like whether it's catapult or not, I don't,
from the eight point perspective, I don't, I don't care. Um, I think we should just like,
ApeCoin perspective, I don't care.
I think we should just get going and work with better people progressively and start
to define this stuff.
How will the potential first 5,000 members, let's say, obtain ApeCoin?
Will it be through educational pieces similar to how Coinbase does where it teaches you
about different cryptos or blockchains or something like that.
And you have to, you know, answer some quiz or do you have to like get in and actually participate?
How does that work?
Oh, I mean, the way in which we've done it is basically like all you need to do is like, you know, sign up, you know. So let's say like you met a, you know, right now you're a DAO member because you hold some A-coin and you're very vocal about it.
So all you need to do, just go sign up and you'll get that 2A coin.
If you go through our process, it actually does educate you.
It tells you about our values. It tells you about what we care about.
It tells you what our North Stars are. And it also asks you to supply information about yourself or where would you want to be
helpful or, you know, what things do you want to kind of have on hand, right? Like, what are the
tools that you think, you know, make sense or things like that, right? So ultimately, like,
you signing up is you doing what we want to do here. Because ultimately, like, if we have, you know,
there's only, like, a thousand or so people
that are really serial voters.
And then, like, on every vote, like, there's very, even less.
I think that Red Vulcan is here.
You could probably test, you know, attest to that.
But the point is, like, let's get all of those people
that are under, or that are either overachieving and give them more
and then like all the people that are underachieving and give them more, right? And ultimately then
like, you know, you raise the ceiling, but you also raise the floor in a sense for the entire
DAO. And so we thought that like this really simple sign up because everything starts with
the sign up. So having that incentive is like where everything starts. And then like, you don't because what I
don't want to turn into is like, hey, you know, do this and then you'll get to ApeCoin, but do
this for the Dow or, you know, like there's there's other experts like Feld is doing that for
education on security. Right. And he's he's gotten funding from the dow i mean the board
security and these guys are killing it i mean they're amazing they're doing such amazing so
we don't want to educate we actually just want to get you on so that we can start building that
context because even if when you're not like even if you just use it once a month then all the other
people that sign up they benefit from you being there right? So it's just all about like kicking
that network effect flywheel into motion.
And then, you know, once we get the first 5,000,
then we'll get the next 50, right?
And that's how we kind of progress.
So that was the idea behind the 2%
kind of 8coin subscription
to catapult giveaway that we wanted to do.

That's really where Catapult comes in is they've got the cool interface where you can sign up and then say you're available for 15 hours a week or you're available to make graphics as a freelancer or a bounty.
That's what Catapult does and kind of where it fits into what Working Group Zero is doing.

So that's really cool because all the networking is, of course, happening on Twitter.
Maybe one more question. How do you actually sign up for Catapult?
Is that you sign up with your wallet or you sign up with your email and the wallet?
How does it work?
So it depends on the DAOs we work with, but you don't directly sign up to Catapult.
You go through an onboarding flow for the specific DAOs because currently we're in bite only.
One day we might open it out to just anyone can get a Catapult profile and start joining DAOs like that.
But at the start of a flow, you either connect your wallet,
in the case of, say, ApeCoin DAO, where we can token gate for one Ape, and or reward you with
the two Ape at the end of the flow, or you connect your Discord. But essentially, wallet connect is
really important to contextualize the on-chain credentials and the NFTs you hold within your
wallet for your profile, as as in some cases down membership.
I got to go through this. Sorry, sir. Go ahead. Go ahead. I got to go through the process. So I've got to test the onboarding process. So you connect your wallet, but then you go through like a short
explanation that talks about, okay, so this is kind of how the AIP process works. It's all very
clean and quick. It works on mobile, but it gives you kind of the the AIP process works. It's all very clean and quick.

and how the process works and stuff.

So this is actually the next piece of work that we're actually doing right now so that you can have multiple wallets
Representing one profile so you can have all your assets from different wallets in your gallery, your on-chain
credentials, to just create a really powerful and useful experience because your one wallet doesn't
represent who you are in Web3. And along with that, from a security perspective, we're also
exploring options where you can attest to ownership without necessarily connecting your wallet in some
cases, just for those super important entities you might have in cold storage
or otherwise don't want to hand out a wallet address for.
So we're exploring lots of options and looking forward to working with you guys
to get the best out of it.
I think that would appeal to a lot of people for any project, really,
that's doing anything with minting or interacting with anything,
just to have the option to have a delegate wallet, I think is highly appealing to, you know, people that have expensive assets tied up in certain wallets.
