by the way. The Jane Hotel.

But then when I showed up, I realized why it was cheap.

So it's actually, it used to be i think because
it's near the pier i believe it was for like sailors and you know it's right by the meat
packing district it's right there right so it's like train cabins basically think about think
about boat cabins or train cabins very narrow um and you have the you have no room it's like three you
take three steps and that's it that's the that's the room um but the the bad thing was that it was
a million degrees in the room a million degrees and you could and it was steam heaters heaters
or were they just steam? Steam heaters.

Because some of those, it's like the bathroom and they'll have a pipe go right through it.
It's not really a steam heater, but the pipe alone just emits so much heat.
It's insane.
It was a steam heater and he was like, the guy from the hotel was like, there's no way to turn it off.
So open your window and turn on the AC.
So I had the AC at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the window open as it was snowing outside and I was still hot like no air it was like and yeah and I was trying to be all bossy in New York City
like doing business and shit and then I have to go back and like die but that's that's the that's
the state of New York City right now for people that go go to work, it's like, you can't, you know, you think you're doing okay in life until you go to New York.
And then you're like, okay, I'm still poor.

It's just so ridiculous here.
It's especially, all right, that neighborhood that you were staying in, that's a super affluent neighborhood.

That hotel is, it is what it is.
But you were staying in the West Village, right outside the meatpacking district.

why they haven't uh restored it a little bit because you can barely see the name. I don't remember the name of the pier, but apparently that's where
a lot of people came after World War Two,
like during the Italian immigrants, the Jewish immigrants,
a lot of people came out of that pier.
It was the Greek immigrants.
A lot of them came out of that pier after World War Two.
And so did I then as an Italian immigrant.
I just had to go to that pier.

And that's where you were across the street from the park.

once i go they have to like interview me or whatever and then hopefully after that i will
