as a long term investment. So it's not even this is locked away in a few treasures. So it's not
even in a wallet or anything. It's just there waiting patiently until maybe at some point I go to an over-the-counter
person and get some out eventually.
But at this point, I'm not looking to trade it or do anything but sit on my hands and
watch it go up some more.

And I think your initial question was, was it about how about being a long term investor
or something?
Yeah, my original question was like, what would you tell people in terms of like building some conviction and getting long term on specific coins or projects in crypto?
Well, I would just suggest, well, at first, just looking into a crypto and finding something that you believe in.
The thing that caught my attention about XRP was the way they move in terms of payment systems and transactions.
They could possibly even replace the current systems that banking institutions
are using. Right now, they're using SWIFT, which is like them using a fax machine, basically.
It can take two to three days sometimes for things to settle, but XRP is super fast. So,
if banking institutions switched over from SWIFT to XRP's system, then there could be a huge influx of institutions
using XRP and increasing the buying pressure.
So that, to me, that key utility was what sparked my interest.
And from there, I built a conviction in it.
I started to believe in it.
So that's what you have to do.
You have to look around and see something that catches your eye, something that makes you feel
completely bullish about the future prospects of a currency and then have a long-term hold on it.
And so you don't get annoyed if someone FUDs it. I heard a lot of FUD the other day about it. I
didn't care. My XRP is in the dresser and people can say whatever they want. But you just have to not get your emotions involved. You don't have to get caught up in the euphoria. Maybe some people thought, wow, you know, it's 365. I need to cash out now because who knows it may never reach another peak, but you can't get caught up in euphoria. If you have a number in mind and you just have to wait until it reaches that number that you feel is going to reach and continue to hold and not get caught up in the excitement and the euphoria or even the bear markets and the downtrends where sometimes people lose hope and say, oh, this coin is now a stable coin. It's not going to go anywhere. We're not going to get any profits from
it. So we might as well just sell our bags and move on. And the people who did that last cycle
are maybe regretting it because now they're seeing an all-time high versus just last cycle when they
were complaining about XRP not moving and having any excitement.
So you just have to have a long-term vision, believe in some aspect of a coin's utility,
and just sit on your hands and wait and have already an exit strategy and now maybe you sell
a bit at a certain point, have something in mind a plan within
yourself so then you don't move and and let outside forces outside um circumstances destroy or or
disrupt your conviction sorry for babbling but i'm still getting my thoughts together. Never be sorry.
You gave some amazing outfits, amazing take of how to just have the right mindset to battle
this chaotic crypto market because the market is always going to be chaotic.
Our job as investors is to stay solvent throughout those chaotic times.
And you kind of just described the mindset and the attitude
and the perspective to have when approaching those investments so um you weren't babbling
and rambling at all i think you were dropping the alpha you're dropping bombs baby and what's
really interesting is everybody has a different perspective oh now my neighbor's on his balcony, I agree. Everybody has a different perspective of altcoins and crypto.
And for myself, I think, you know, your XRP, maybe Scott's another altcoin, Mikey may be sweet.
For me, Solana, I think, is going to outperform ETH this cycle.
I don't think that we're going to see a X and ETH maybe maybe not but I see that that we have a better
Probability of just seeing Solana at its current price point double, you know, I could see like the mid 300s
Maybe even 350 400 maybe closer to the top this specific cycle
I think it's really Bitcoin dominated, but I want to go around the room and other than Bitcoin,
because we've been talking about it for the last three, four weeks pretty aggressively.
Obviously, it's making a lot of major moves.
What other altcoins are people really having their conviction in?
Phoenix said XRP, mine is Solana for many reasons.
One, I think that conviction or like conviction as in they believe in the tech as well as it'll make them money or conviction as an investment strategy.
Because, you know, there's there's things you invest in without emotion.
So you're like, I might not be in love with this, but I know it's going to outperform other things.
One point that you're picking and putting your money behind so for me that's the long and it's because I believe that
It's becoming more popular. I believe now. It's not just like like a mysterious altcoin
I think it's gonna get you know exposure like xrp and ethereum
I'm not saying it's gonna get the volume just just going to say it's going to get more mainstream adoption more exposure
And I hopefully that will bring up the market cap bring up the usage also see that stocks
Also see that the phone the gaming console also see that mean coins all have like built its ecosystem on Solana and for me

who are behind that so not only do you have people already dabbling in this um like you know for one
of the biggest fucking companies in the world at the time and still but now they're doing their own
thing and they got a ton of money behind them and then i see the year over year growth from 2024 to 2025 in just the conference size.
Now, there's only several chains out there that really do big conferences that could support having tons of projects, not even a fraction of the total that are there.
And that could even afford to set up to do something like that.
And if you run, like you said, Solana, and like if anybody anybody's been to breakpoint it's one of the best conferences in the world

money flowing in there.
I still don't think retail will push it.

then you see some of these alts moving it's because a lot of people are trading in in the bitcoin
pair you know and not doing it to USDT or something else.
So you're not going to see your little like the smaller alts get it because people are doing these big trades or on these alts that are moving with a Bitcoin pair.
So you got Bitcoin pretty much holding tight and then alts kind of, you know, money rotating alts going up.
So, yeah, I don't know it's good i think but i think those like all the
ones that we've mentioned i feel if any alts really rip that are on people's radar that are big
they're gonna be that's where the money goes next and we've already seen look at eth fucking up a
thousand right so black rock money i, or at least some of it.

But if there was going to be a token that I think retail would get behind and that's just like people like you and I, everyday investors, I would probably say it would be Ethereum for the reason being is like it's such a big ecosystem a lot of people you know don't want to
transact in Bitcoin for how slow and how expensive it is and there's a lot of
like smart contracts and let's face it like I don't think a lot of people are
gonna be swapping their Bitcoin out for NFTs this cycle or RWAs or other
stuff and I could be wrong but I think more people would swap their eat a lot of people transact
underneath a lot of people like their native currency that they operate is like metham they
start a metamask account and they have ETH in their wallet or they start a trust wallet they they're operating on USDC ETH or or ETH or Ethereum directly so that's just what I think
you know just kind of like a gateway to get into more crypto I think that ETH is going to get
probably more of the retail kind of side obviously Bitcoin as well too I wouldn't say more than
Bitcoin but if there was another token outside of Bitcoin as an alt, I would say for retail, I would say ETH is probably one of the more exposed ones.
But that's just my take.

the platforms that like focused on being a bridge essentially from like bringing liquidity
from one blockchain to the next i'm not very familiar or up-to-date mike with with chain link
so i don't want to speak very much basically chain link is uh it's like a decentralized oracle
so it it'll work on like it gets uh it gets all like real world data and talks with the chain. So you get like price feeds and, you know, it, it handles all sorts of things between
whatever.
So it's not, it's not sexy.

Like people aren't like, Ooh, look at chain link.
And like, there's all these, you know, like NFTs are all of it, but it's, uh, but it's

They are exploding in user-based.
Their mindshare is increasing every single day.
And I honestly, by the end of this cycle, I can see them being the top decentralized trading platform in the space.
So we're at a $15 billion market cap now. If you look at the chart, it's just been exploding.
It's been running. And I can honestly see-

So I was like, wow. I'm like, did you say 15 million? If it's really at 15 million,

cool they got faster bots or something they're they have better staking or APRs or APYs. Like, what's the hype behind this right now?

Everybody that was trading on Jupiter,
everybody that was trading with a BonkBot or a PhotonBot,
most of them, I wouldn't say all of them,
but I would say most of them,
they've decided to move their trading volume onto Hyperliquid.

um i think arthur hayes had mentioned mentioned that too as far as i'm not sure about actually
using it but that it perfect that will perform well i mean i see it i see it growing um you know
so i think it's i think it's people have done well so far. I'm curious what it turns out, say,
in the next six months to a year, as far as an investment strategy into it.
So, Brian, my question is, if I'm looking on a global scale, comparing Hyperliquid to other
things, because you said it could be probably the
biggest decks which it probably can't i'm not saying that i can't why wouldn't somebody maybe
want to consider holding maybe base or maybe some like coinbase um infrastructure or tokens or maybe
even like crypto crypto backed stocks if that's the case in terms of like more volume more users because i i personally
don't think hyperliquid is going to flip coinbase it's super og no no no i i'm not saying that by
far coinbase you know and finance those two they're in a league of their own i think robin hood is
going to join as well when it comes to centralized options why i like hyperliquid is because if you
look at the space growth guys guys, over the last-

Yeah. To be honest, Tony, I'm not sure. I'll have to look it up. I'm not sure, so I'm not
going to answer that. But I just look at it as decentralized, growing. If you look at investments
coming in from institutions and VCs over the last four years. DeFi protocols are like number two on that list
behind RWAs and enterprise tokenization assets.
So they're picking up the mindshare.
They're going to create extreme amounts of revenue.
And that's what I look like.
When I look at growth, guys,
I want to get into one of these altcoins
that has the opportunity to produce
incredible amounts of revenue that they can reinvest into expansion to continue to increase their growth.
And I think Hyperliquid is doing that better than anyone else right now.

driving alt season, always Bitcoin dominance. Keep your eye on that number. The lower it goes,
the higher these altcoins will go. But now here's the thing. If it drops too much,
that's going to signal to me that the Bitcoin top is in for this cycle.
If we start seeing sub-50 Bitcoin dominance numbers, altcoins are going crazy.
We need to prepare that that number, that 123, was the Bitcoin top.
Now, do I think it's going that way?

We need Bitcoin to go higher because the higher it goes, the better we are all going to do with our altcoins.
And then the more money will roll over into our meme coin holdings.

NFTs are usually last on that list.

I think you fast forward a year or two from now and you zoom out,

eight years where it didn't hit all time high, you know, last cycle. And you kind of went through
if you really, when we look at crypto and we're going to zoom back, like in the future, like a
decade, and you look at these things, you'll, you'll see how it goes up a little bit. Like
look at even big companies like Amazon or any of their charts over the course of a 10
or 20 year span.
So I think that regardless of how busy all season gets, we'll see it go up.
Maybe a few of these come back down for a little bit of a breather and then go up.
But we definitely, like you said, Brian, we definitely need Bitcoin to stay strong because if Bitcoin was,
even if it was just a float here or stay between a hundred K and here for the next year,
I all coin, that's not going to be, that's not going to, that's not necessarily going to create
a huge altcoin season or even do much for altcoin. People are going to still be just,
just holding onto Bitcoin and not rotating at that point. They're going to be worried that either shit's going to drop or they're going to miss it and sell off and it's going to run at any given time.
So I guess we'll just have to see also how politics come into play as well and manipulation.
But overall, I think we'll trend up.

And people got to remember, too, guys, a majority of altcoins
are still way down from their all-time high. So there is still a lot of room. A lot of these
holders have been holding these altcoins since the last cycle are still sitting on very negative
positions. So keep that in mind. There is plenty of room here for many of these altcoins to perform. And me personally, obviously being a
Bitcoin holder, but I am cheering so hard for Bitcoin to just do its thing as long as possible,
because I know if it does, it makes everything else better. It just drives this market guys.
And the higher Bitcoin goes, the more money we all stand to make even if you don't hold it
So another big thing that I think is gonna help with just crypto overall this week
I think that the US just passed
They had three different acts that they were considering the genius act. There was a crypto actor

of them phoenix if you want to maybe share it or maybe clarify but one of them it looks like
got passed i'm seeing a news from a bigger account um yes you're referring to Crypto Week and there was the Genius Act, which is related to stablecoins and adding some legal clarity and regulatory framework for stablecoins. Reserve from creating a security-backed, I think I forgot the name of it, it's a central bank
digital currency. So they're preventing them from creating that. And then the Clarity Act just
provides more clarity and legal certainty for digital assets. They define things. They define the role of the SEC. And so right now the House has,
the House and the Senate passed the Genius Act. So it's awaiting the president's signature.
And once the president signs that bill, then it will become an act. The anti-CBDC
bill and the Clarity Act, they've passed the House, but they're still awaiting votes in the
Senate. So those are still undergoing legislation right now. But it can get signed by the president
later today, right? Right. That's what he was hoping that it goes through and gets signed off
today. Yeah, that's what he's hoping. So basically it'll go through today because I don't see why
he wouldn't sign it when that's exactly what he wanted Congress to do.
When he signs or when there's an official like voted, this is passed and it's going for signature.

and they pretty much looked at me like i was nuts pushed me away and just imagine if our hall took
some of that 10 billion dollars put it in bitcoin back in 2020 when i told them about this. It's just crazy to think about. It's gonna happen this October is where a lot of that,

so if people already put their toes in the water
like and got like Bitcoin or crypto on the books
and invested into it,

that we'll see more money come in.

kind of put in place was by September 30th to get all this framework and legislation through and in

happy. I can do a lot more than I could even probably 20 years ago. And as I age in years, I get better and healthier.
And it's not like I make perfect choices.
I do drink a lot of water.
I definitely work out almost every day.
I do the infrared saunas workouts and stuff.
But you guys, we can program our bodies.
We can program our brains.

was always drinking other drinks that were bad and the way i i was able to start drinking more

to force myself every day to drink a couple a couple glasses of water is there any like fruit

like i've been to xrp events and conferences and it's mostly people like in their late 30s to like
their 60s and these are people who have worked really hard to invest in a crypto that they
believe in and that they could they felt was affordable to be able to DCA in long term and to see something like this.
And this is, again, just the beginning.
So when you understand the community that makes up that specific token and how much work they've put in
and the money they've saved to put into it, you want to see nothing but see them win.
So it's exciting because there's a lot of people I know who have put their 401ks in in this and and they just believed and had the conviction and to me that's what crypto is about
like building this kind of generational wealth and i'm just really excited you know like i i hope
everyone at some point picks up a bag of xrp it's still early in my opinion um but yeah it's nice
it's a great sentiment to see across the board i I'm excited. I'm not touching my wallet.
I have all my extra P on a cold wallet, so none of you motherfuckers can hack me.
I don't care how much I say I have. Nobody's touching it. I'm good.
But yeah, it's exciting. It's good to have a good sentiment here,
especially when you're full-time Web3 and crypto.
You want to have good energy. It kind of impacts a lot of your life.
So it's been nice to see the bullish sentiment sentiment across the timeline and everybody's like pretty happy.

People are getting out of alt. i mean out of bitcoin and they want to
see their all corn bags pulp will we see more rotation interesting interesting cat you've been
an og in bitcoin for a while as well do you think we see a traditional alt season or do we see something totally unique and
different just because finance and the historic period and where we're at in the market what's
your whole take on this i think we're coming into a completely different market because i mean
there's new players uh there's new rules um i mean we're literally getting things that's like banks are jumping on
board for which is unheard of i mean this is like we're pioneers like in this industry because i
mean i banks like i remember talking to my bank a year or two ago and i asked them if they ever
thought that they would it was uh chase chase morgan and asked them if they ever thought they
would uh you know run crypto through the bank or you know have any ties or connections with crypto
um had also talked to uh morgan stanley investments and uh one of the other big investment companies
and same thing i was like hey you guys ever gonna get into crypto and it was the the response was so like strong no no no no that's involuntary and it's it's it's uh you know
it could just collapse at any moment and yeah i mean it was literally like they thought it was
just something fun like a bunch of kids were doing that was just going to go away that was
like the feeling i got and now here you have banks around the world literally putting in any adoption papers they possibly can to be able to process crypto, use crypto, store crypto, because they know.
And so we're in a completely different environment.
This is like being on a different planet with crypto.
It's rad.
I love it.
And I love the uncertainty.
And I love how the future is limitless and anything is possible.
So I definitely think that there's going to be some ups and downs.
I think there's definitely some chances like Maxie saying, there's still some chances to
get in.
If you're really stressed out, I mean, obviously just, you know, just doing a little bit of
cost dollar cost averaging and doing a little bit of investing as you go.
That way you hit the ups and downs. It's always smart advice.
Just put in like $100 a month.
And that way you never have to worry about the ups and the downs.
But honestly, no matter what, I would just say if you're into the space
and you're into diversifying your portfolio, get some crypto if you don't already have some.
Dabble a little bit.
Play a little bit. I know it takes a lot to learn. But that's how you learn is you're going already have some dabble a little bit you know play a little bit

um you've got to learn the rules and the rules are changing daily right now so um we just do
the best we can right but i think we got a really cool season coming up i really do i feel it
intensity is picking up volumes picking up governments attention globally around the
world is picking up so let's go everybody comes back on vacation they start buying again
yeah the asian markets are huge and i mean they're adopting so much right now i mean
and the asian markets all are all about xrp right now i mean yes there's a lot of news about bitcoin
but i mean like mexy was saying man xrp is i mean i'm holding my bag too and i'm same thing i'm
holding on my cold ledger it's smart so smart i mean i it's not that i don't trust coinbase or
but you just never know you never know we've seen some of the biggest hacks ever in this past year.
And so you just never know.
And the only way to keep your stuff safe is to have a cold wallet, to have your even even on the wonderful Coinbase that we love so much.
It's still important that you're protecting your assets, y'all.
Make sure keep them off the web.
Keep them off the web if you can, if you can.
It's much safer to have them in your possession.
But yeah, the Asian markets, man.
How do they stake when you put them in a cold wallet?
They can't, can they?
You know, I believe you can still stake stuff if it's in your cold wallet.
I mean, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can still stake stuff if it's in your cold wallet i mean somebody correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure you can still stake stuff because i mean you're you're just staking the it's kind of
like having a certificate you know what i mean like if you buy a bond or something like that
like you're you're paying into an investment and you're holding a certificate that's accruing some
interest and you're making some money but but you still are holding your money.
Oh, that makes sense.
You just can't unlock it.
So now if you're staking, just be aware,
it does take time to unstake your money.
So when you guys are staking your stuff,
remember it's not as liquid as the rest of your money
because it does sometimes take up to, geez, a week or two,
sometimes to unstake money, depending on which crypto it is
But yeah, I think that it's still safe that way

I thought a lot of it had to be in like more kind of like uh platforms
that were like on chain hot wallet style but that's fucking awesome guys keep your conviction
highs keep your conviction high buy your altcoins buy your bitcoin buy for the long term the future
is bright especially for people who hold crypto,
people that believe in mass adoption and technology.
It may take a little bit longer for some of these alts to pump,
but it's definitely going to pump.
