Thank you. See you. . We'll be right back. Thank you. you All right, I think that's it.
Ekwa, you were kind of bugging for me, rugging here and there.
Can everybody hear me, or is the music still playing for you or something like that?
Test this.
I don't hear anyone. You're good.
No, I don't hear anybody.
Or it's just nobody speaking.
That could be the case.
You're loud and clear.
Okay, I was waiting for someone to tell me that.
Okay, fine.
Welcome, everybody.
Thanks for the intro
ecco um i hope you're all having a good week a good day um yeah welcome back to cowie plaza
and as you can see in the title it's the hbar open mic as always but it also says
cowlap v3 is live which it is um so we'll we'll be talking a little bit more about that
As well later on
First let's get some more people up in here to talk about h bar kabla v3 and just anything that comes to mind
As long as it has to do with web 3 or Hedera
Well most of the time
So yeah, make sure you like this
face repost it
leave a comment in the comment section
to ask you and Joe as well
and Brandon maybe you guys
can help me check the comments every once in a while
because last time
Brandon we had a question
for you in the comments and I didn't
see it until you were gone
it was about Google and the governing council and We had a question for you in the comments and I didn't see it until you were gone.
It was about Google and the Governing Council and one of the listeners wanted some thoughts from your end.
Actually, Ekwa took that one up but I'm driving again so if you guys could keep an eye on the comments
so that we don't miss any questions, that would be great.
And of course, for everyone who's in here, if you have something you want to share or ask,
you can put it in the comments, but you can also just come up on stage and talk with us.
It's an open mic, so anyone can come up.
So that being said, Joe, are you here to replace Patrick?
I didn't know I was, so I'm out on a walk and I just came in as myself.
Okay, well, yeah, no, great.
Maybe I missed something, but I didn't realize Patrick wouldn't be here.
Did he say anything, Ekwa?
Oh, Ekwa is rugging.
Let me send him a co-host invite again.
Let's see if he can come up.
Other than that, how's your day going, Joe?
It's great.
It's super warm here from outside.
Enjoying it.
How about yourself?
Yeah, going well.
Ah, take my back.
Sorry, X is giving me trouble today.
Usually X is nice to me, so yeah, it's surprising.
But no, I don't remember hearing anything from Patrick about not being here this week.
Yeah, hope everything's alright with him though. Let's go.
Oh yeah, I'm not worrying. Probably just some bad connection in the French boots again.
I feel like it's more often the case that he
has some connectivity issues than that everything goes well.
But he's probably fine fine how's your day going
my day is going well uh yeah uh been a busy day though but yeah hanging in excited for the space
i also got another space lined up later today which i'd love to talk about and yeah sorry for rugging the intro music though
i don't know what was going on like i couldn't see anybody on the panel um like joe was like
somewhere in the middle he was also a speaker but also a listener i couldn't see my mic moving so i
was kind of suspicious that i might be rugging during the intro music but yeah thanks to you knew you stepped in right on time but yeah sorry for again oh man you're you're a solid dj and a solid co-host so no uh no worries
good to hear that you're doing well and um yeah no just to finish up on joe's question how's my
day going um yeah pretty good as i uh told you guys last week, I'm also a social worker again. So I actually, I always was and I stopped doing that for about a year. And now I decided to combine Web 2 and Web 3 again.
at home behind my computer screen five days a week is not something that energizes me enough
which is in hindsight um pure logic and and not surprising at all knowing myself but um
still i gotta say i'm a bit surprised on how much energy i regained even in the first week i started
my webtooth job again you, working with the kids, with colleagues, having appointments, etc.
So that's going very well and I'm enjoying the fact that I get to do it both.
So yeah, all good over here.
And by the way, I'm getting married next week on Wednesday.
So that's also something to mention of course
yeah you've got a big year this year in June we're expecting our first kid so
yeah life is good over here that's huge
yeah thanks
I think so too
I know you said that Irish is going to be
like a small ceremony
it's the only family who's going to be there right
so we're not doing a big party
i'm going yeah yeah joe's going to be here um to replace patrick no but um it'll be it'll be uh
quite small yeah we we have the the ceremony um with i think uh 35 people, so family and close friends.
But we actually decided to do it on this date pretty last minute.
So we decided in December.
So not everybody could make it.
I have a good friend of mine who has moved to Sweden and he can't make it.
A good friend of mine has moved to Sweden and he can't make it.
And we don't have a big party, but we're having a nice dinner out with the two of us in a restaurant that I always wanted to go to,
but didn't have a good enough reason to do so.
So we'll make it a nice day.
But right now is not the time to spend a lot of money on a wedding with the little one coming in June.
the the time to spend a lot of money on the wedding with the little one coming in june so um
yeah yeah that'll be uh all right quite small but uh looking forward to it well actually i'm glad
when we uh when it's done to be completely honest i'm not i'm not that much of a guy who likes to be center of attention. So, yeah.
Okay, but let's take it back to the space.
Brandon, how's your day going?
How's your week?
It's good.
I'm going to have to get on the road here in a little bit.
My wife forgot her lunch again.
But, yeah, everything's going well.
Had some good conversations this week. There's a new team that's moving to Hedera. little bit my wife forgot her lunch again um but yeah everything's going well had some uh
good conversations this week there's a new team that's moving to hedera prism they're going to be
in the prediction market we just had another team um in the prediction space win the hackathon or at
least the the legacy track with with the hackathon had a great conversation again with uh rob allen
for shark bites this week uh and then a bunch of other things that I'll be covering. Of course, Dovu got their listing on Kraken, so that is absolutely huge.
And I hadn't heard this, but Brady was saying that he doesn't think this is going to be the last listing on Kraken for HTS tokens or Hedera tokens.
So that's all good to hear.
Some cool stuff coming out of THA, working already, we knew, with PwC, but they're also doing some things with Merck.
And I'm going to be presenting some of that stuff tomorrow. Great article by Eric Passini,
the CEO of Hashgraph that came out on Forbes. I'm going to go through some of those things as well.
Archac's coming out with some new products. Ryan just announced that. And then there's some other
stuff that I've heard might be coming out around Hedera,
but it's not confirmed yet, so I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.
The one frustrating thing that I have is we have a Karate Combat event.
You guys know how much I enjoy those events.
And my app isn't working again, so I'm really excited about that.
But it sounds like it's working for a lot of other people, but just not for me.
We need to get Kabila helping those guys out.
But, yeah, I'll leave it there.
Sounds good.
Sounds good, yeah.
Okay, so will you be leaving us,
or will you be live from the car bringing lunch to your wife?
Yeah, no, I'm planning on putting the headphones in
and hopping on the road, so I think we should be all right.
Ah, cool. Nice. Okay. Well, cool. yeah no i'm planning on putting the headphones in and hopping on the road so i think we should be all right cool nice okay um well cool i'm also curious to learn a little bit more about what
tha is doing with bwc but um by the way we we love gossip so uh rumors are sometimes even
juicier than actual news if you got any rumors that you'd like to share with us,
maybe from the HBARBOOL account, feel free to do so anytime.
This one might be a little bit big for me to just throw around out there
unless it actually comes to fruition.
So I'm going to hold off on that one today.
Okay, so you feel like it's not your place to share?
100%, yeah.
This one's not my place.
Just teasing you guys a little bit.
But we'll see if it comes to fruition.
It should be soon if it actually comes to fruition.
I heard that Hedera and PwC are merging on equal levels.
That's just what I heard.
You're just making shit up.
No, no, no. I figured it was so outlandish, nobody would believe it.
Yeah, it actually doesn't have to – or the other thing doesn't have to do with what's going on with Merck and with PwC.
PwC, of course, was working, let's see, mostly in the refi space, carbon credits, things like that.
Deloitte was doing the same thing.
We have three of the big four that are doing stuff with Hedera.
But Merck was presenting with PWC.
We didn't – it was – unfortunately, the presentation that they were giving,
there was no audio.
It was just music over it.
They posted it, that they had this get-together.
But what we did see was a slide behind them, and they must have been using the Hashgraph
group Trust ID, which is a product they've put out, a decentralized identity solution
that they've put out.
And that was up there as well.
I don't know if that covers everything that they're working on.
But yeah, of course, those are some breadcrumbs as well all right all right and okay so when you say it should be soon if this
goes through that we hear more about it um so what how soon is soon and not not on a day but i mean
are you thinking months or weeks or maybe?
No, no, no.
I think this week, early next week, something like that.
And actually, I was expecting it today, but I didn't have a date.
No front running, not even on the on the h bar open mic and okay i feel inclined to ask more questions but i won't i'll just dm you and then get the same answer from you
um well okay we also have silksuite on stage and SMG.
So, yeah, looking forward to hearing more from you guys.
And I think, yeah.
Well, oh, sorry.
Before I do that, two things.
Two things.
We need more people.
Hey, there's Patrick.
Okay, let's get Patrick up on stage.
So now it's become three things. We're welcoming Patrick up on stage and there's something I'd like to say about Kabila V3.
And well, the first thing is actually, guys, we need more reposts and more comments on the space.
We need as many people as possible to join us talking about Hedera and to join the HBARC community.
So, yeah, make sure you do your job and repost space, like it, leave a comment, maybe even join us up on stage.
The more the merrier. So everybody is welcome.
is welcome. Patrick, I didn't expect you anymore. What's happening?
Patrick, I didn't expect you anymore. What's happening?
Yes, sorry. I was listening to some awesome good German music and I get lost in that then
and I was well working, by the way. Yes, German music is the best Evo. But yeah, I was doing
some work and I knew I had a space because like half past four i'm like okay the space is almost
starting so i can do a little bit more and then i just yeah well i forgot okay so it's the first
time i really forgot so that's actually yeah that's actually quite good because we had a lot
of spaces and yeah slipped my mind for just 15 minutes but i'm here now so that's good did i miss anything spectacular uh well 18 minutes
not 15 so let's get that straight um were you listening to rammstein no no no no no one second
i need to accept co-host and mostly yes so uh no not rammstein no no i love i love music that
touches the hearts you know so we always went
on holiday in germany when we were young um and so as most people as most people know that's uh
next to the netherlands so it wasn't very far but i love the country i love the language and
they really have some beautiful music as well so but, but I listen to Bee Gees and country and modern rock and I listen to everything.
So, but yeah, this was good music, man.
Almost made me cry.
I love music.
Well, the Bee Gees we know.
Bee Gees too, yes.
Best band ever.
Well, okay.
Glad you're here, um all right so there's two things out
of the way i asked you guys to repost and comment space and we welcome patrick to the stage and the
third thing is kabbalah v3 which is now live and we're very excited about that it's a complete um um redo actually of the the platform and well when i say platform we
did have so the landing page and that from there um you could navigate to the different depths that
we had so the marketplace the launchpad so the secondary marketplace the launchpad, the plazas, the academy and that's all
separate from each other and it's all unified in a single experience right now
so no depths anymore except for the tool section because that's really for
creators and most users don't need the tools that's still different separate
depth but the rest is all one unified
experience so you'll find the marketplace the launchpad the plazas and the academy
in the same place um the back end is is uh upgraded it's completely uh well not completely
redone of course but um a giant makeover so it's faster it'll feel different and
yeah it's easier to navigate and one thing that I that I'm very excited about
is the is chats so in Kabbalah v3 if you navigate to kabla.app you'll also find chats and these are wallet to wallet so
um you'll have the possibility now to let's say you'll see an nft on the marketplace and you think
okay well maybe you want to negotiate or just reach out to that person you can actually send
a dm to that wallet you don't have to know each other's name or username or whatever
now obviously this won't pop up in in the other person's wallet but if it also connects to
uh to Gabela you can actually just DM with each other it um you'll be able to um to do secure
trade through that wallet as well,
to the chat as well.
So you can chat with each other,
but you can also use that chat to strike a deal on NFT
and settle that through secure trade as well.
So I think that's quite a cool option.
And, well, yeah, way more to to share but I'll be I'll be posting about
the the new stuff in Kabbalah v3 throughout the next days so make sure
well if you aren't already to follow the Kabbalah account because I'll be
sharing everything there is to know about Kabbalah v3 and we're very very
excited about it this is basically the last thing that we
wanted to cross off the list before really going all in on our next step,
which is something that will be shared on a later date. So lots of stuff
happening still. We'll always keep building,
even though, you know, it hasn't been easy for retail on Hedera since, basically since
inception. We saw some strong moments, but not a lot. But yeah, we'll always keep building
and we're not going anywhere. So with Kabula V V3 we're very proud of that and I'll be sharing more about the new stuff in there on X so
make sure to keep an eye on that okay that's it we do have a couple new
speakers on stage let's see SilkSuite I think you joined first. Who have we got behind the mic rapping Silks?
You got J-man today. How are you?
Yo, welcome J-man. Good to hear from you, man. All good over here. How are you doing before we dive into Silk Suite? I'm doing okay.
I'm chronically cold these days,
but it's been a very sunny winter out here in New Hampshire,
so I will take that.
We're continuing to get hammered with snow, though,
but I'm staying upbeat and positive
and trying to get outside each day, even in the cold. And, yeah, I'm doing well. I'm staying upbeat and positive and trying to get outside each day even in the cold and yeah I'm doing well.
I'm doing well. Thank you for asking. I appreciate it.
Sounds good. Sounds good. It's something that
Well, some people enjoy a lot snow
Some people really don't but yeah, I personally think it's beautiful as long as you have the nice, well, the proper clothes for it.
Yeah, I think visually it's always a win for me.
Like, I find it to be very beautiful.
But yeah, then like yesterday I was on a roof for hours clearing snow. Cause I have like a flat section of roof at my house
and it has snowed so much this winter.
I've been at this house for probably three or four years now.
And this was the first winter where I had to get up there and shovel out of
like a safety concern. So when things like that happen it's like oh okay like
i i i you know i that that's my that's kind of like when the line starts to get crossed but
for the most part i i do like snow so but i do have some exciting stuff to talk about today
in regards to silk um if if i can get a at some point, I'd love to do so.
Oh, 100%. And I got to say, you know, being able to spend hours on a part of your roof shuffling snow, I think that's quite a flex. So kudos on that.
I skipped the gym yesterday. Let's say that. I skipped the gym yesterday.
Let's say that. I skipped the gym yesterday.
No, but definitely, man.
Let's hear about SilkSweet.
And, yeah.
What have you got to share with us?
Yeah, so it's actually a really exciting piece of news
for the team and I to be sharing with you today. We actually have a date set in
stone for the launch of our protocol token, Silk. So we actually just went through a re-audit with
the company Halborn not too long ago. And this is actually technically our third audit through H-Suite and SilkSuite
that has been conducted by this company. And for those that are maybe a little unfamiliar
with Halborn, they are a very, very well-respected third-party Web3 auditing company that does phenomenal work. They're very thorough
and getting a green light from them is a big deal. They just are not willing to put their name
next to something unless it's really been picked through. So we just received that green light from them not too long ago. They do have a full auditing report of the Silk Suite platform available for people to look through, access, poke around, see exactly what they checked out and how that all went.
see exactly what they checked out and how that all went.
And due to us getting this clarity through Halborn,
we have landed on the date of February 17th for launching Silk.
So that is five days away now, right around the corner.
And I would say the thing that I'm most excited about is, so we've always had
trade to earn and provide liquidity to earn rewards through our fabric token.
And to have silk, you know, finally launch it, it, it provides, you know, a token that has deep liquidity that can be exchanged
or held onto by the possessor and have meaningful value. Fabric has always been fun to collect
through doing things like providing liquidity or swapping on the Silksuite platform.
But now this is backed by the Silk token, or imminently will be.
And you'll be able to trade.
There's a certain way we're going about that, where we're going to open a window every six months for people to be able to swap their fabric for Silk.
There will be an initial window that opens on the 17th that will be open for several weeks where you can do so
because we have a lot of people that have been patiently waiting to turn their fabric that
they've been stacking into silk. But it really lights a fire on this whole gamification of the Silk Suite platform that we've been doing
and are going to continue to expand on. And that will grow beyond just the trade to earn and
provide liquidity to earn. You'll see things like a referral reward system pop up, or maybe we'll reward you for launching your NFT collection on our NFT launchpad
or, you know, there's a myriad of different opportunities. We'll reward you every time
you access our built-in analytics tools, you know? There's just so many things that kind of open up to
us now that we're launching this protocol token. So it's a really exciting time.
There's a lot of liquidity coming in through this token.
We will ramp up as supply of silk is released.
We will steadily add to that liquidity.
All of that is completely sorted in the background. We've got
VCs backing that. We're talking liquidity in the millions, and we will be able to roll that out
as the supply is released. And yeah, it's just, it's really exciting. It's, you're going to see a lot of
other benefits to the Hedera DeFi ecosystem through just liquidity pools popping up
that are paired with Silk. There's going to be a huge push for that on Silk Suite side.
And yeah, we're just, we're really excited about all of this and you know you factor
in the zero slippage and the fact that we're built on the native layer of hedera and you've got a
recipe for success so a lot of exciting things that we feel are going to have a positive impact on really everybody in the ecosystem and it's a big
week for us. I've been trying to spread the word as best I can on this date. It's been a long time
coming. We've been talking about it for quite some time and it's finally here. So yeah, I would be crazy to not come to the weekly Kabila space
and not talk about this. So thank you. Thank you for having me up, for creating some time. It's
great to see everybody up here. Syked, you can't get rid of me. I'm sorry. I'm at his space Monday
through Friday. Saucerswap, it's great to see you up here.
MRAC, SMG, Joe,
it's, yeah, Earthlings,
it's great to be here. Thank you for creating
some space for me to talk about this.
I appreciate it.
I'm sure, man.
I think he rocked.
I just wanted to ask as well.
I don't hear him either.
Ah, there he is.
You're back again.
I don't know where I rocked.
But I just wanted to say the HB mics for all HB barians. So, yeah, love that you're sharing this with us.
Sounds very good.
Where can people get going with you guys?
Where should they go to if they're interested in silk or in the dex?
Yeah, so we have a dApp on Hashpack
where you can go ahead and check out our under the decks section of Dapps right there in that wallet where you can get a feel for our UI and UX and poke around and explore, you know, the different tools that we have on there. If you're on a desktop, you can go to silksuite.app
and poke around on there as well.
Their desktop version is incredibly strong.
I utilize that along with the DAP.
So, yeah, please explore, poke around,
keep your eyes peeled on the 17th.
We'll drop the token ID, but we also recommend if anybody picked up an escrow or INO NFT from us, I would say go ahead and just turn on auto associate for maybe turn it on on the 16th and turn it off on the 18th is my recommendation.
But yeah, if you want to get a feel for UI and UX,
silksuite.app is going to be the way for sure.
All right, all right.
Yeah, okay, we'll be tossing the mic to SMG in a bit because uh you know we're talking about dexes and i believe smg has some plans of his own um and then we'll be speaking with alpha
a little bit and i'm also curious i don't know if you're still here here brendan but i saw the um
the the post from hashback about their new swap function.
It's pretty cool.
And I've got a question about that for you.
Are you still with us?
Good to know.
All right.
So I don't know how much time you've got left if you'll be here until the end of the space.
Otherwise, I'll go to SMG and AlphaTurz.
Is that OK with you? No, no no shoot go ahead all right I hear you're in the car so
a good husband bringing your wife lunch to work all right yeah that being said SMG welcome up on
stage I think this is your first time right or maybe you've done some space with jack in the past
any no no it's my first time here in the kabila open mic i was in the maybe three years ago in
the spanish-speaking spaces the back in the days with manu but yeah in the english in the english
speaking community it's my my first time congrats by the way for the for the wedding news
and for the kabila v3 lounge it's looks amazing yeah yeah thanks man thanks um
so um yeah yeah congrats uh silk suite for their token launch. It's amazing. And also open a conversation with them because we want to integrate the, their
liquidity pools in our Dex aggregator.
So that'd be a really nice improvement in our DAB and yeah, to have them onboarded
would be super nice.
So I'll be contacting them after the space to see how we can collaborate together.
Cause yeah, we're launching our closed beta today and we just wanted to let
everybody know.
And if you want to join the closed beta group, it's open to everyone.
We'll give you a tester role and we will also give you a access code.
So you will be able to access the decks in a few hours
oh very cool okay so uh okay tell us a little bit more about the the journey like when when and why did you decide to start working on this decks and how long have you been uh working on it
and and also what's the vision for it?
Yeah, actually, I cannot share that much today because we want to keep all the fresh news to the community, like the close community, because we want to hear their feedback before
we go bigger with the announcements.
But I just can say that we've been working for the hackathons.
Like this started just like building with a colleague,
competing in these hackathons for fun.
And then we realized, wait, maybe we can help
the header ecosystem expand in some way.
So we've been like, you know, speaking about ideas,
building proof of concepts and stuff.
And now we decided after a really good participation
in the last Hello Future hackathon, we got the second position.
We were like, oh, maybe we have some nice ideas that we can, you know, bring to the community and see how we can grow from here.
So, yeah, we're building for the next hackathon starting next week.
So, yeah, the plan is to just build for the hackathons, get the feedback from the community and, you know, from there keep evolving and, you know, try to find new ways that probably are not the usual ways projects have been growing on Hedera.
But yeah, we want to, you know, keep it really close at the beginning.
And once we start getting the right feedback and, you know, we have a clear path for growth,
then we will start to make bigger announcements and try to get more and more people.
For now, we're just aiming for a 30 close member beta tester group.
So we're probably around 25 right now.
So there is not many empty spaces left, but yeah, I'm sure that
anyone fast enough will be able to get theirs.
Oh, that's awesome.
So second place in Hello Future Hackathon.
That's awesome.
And are there any specific things about the DEX that gave you that second place?
Is it just standard DEX or does it vary?
It's a DEX aggregator.
We wanted to innovate mostly on the on the ux ui um part side of the
platform because we are using the open source uh smart contracts from um eta finance a great team
by the way we have really good relationship with them and yeah basically we also added like a
gamified uh layer on top of of that. So I think that vision also differentiated us
from the rest of projects.
Yeah, I think we focus on UX UI
and the gamification layer,
but we're still,
there's like hackathons are a great way
to create this proof of concepts
and then get some feedback from experts, the community
and the most important members of the header ecosystem.
So we're mainly doing that.
We're using the hackathons to this experimentation field.
I think people, once we are able to let everyone know what we're going to be building for the
next phase, I think it's going to be pretty exciting because there's new things we're working on that
we haven't seen yet on the Hedera community.
And yeah, we also participated actually last year in the Hedera Africa Hackathon.
We made it to the finals, but we didn't get a prize.
But yeah, it was also very fun, like trying to find new concepts new ways to to build
uh products on hedera so it's been like a few months of you know trial and error and trying to
find you know like our product market fit and i think yeah defy is gonna be our main focus we
think that hedera defy is is just getting started. Like, I mean, not just getting started.
Souser Soap, it's been here for a long time.
But in terms of the amount of protocols that we have here, I
know, Silk Suite also has been here for a long time.
Bonso also maybe a couple of years now.
But it's still pretty small.
And the variety of DeFi protocols that we have compared to other networks, it's not enough.
In our view, we think there is a lot of room to grow.
So I think we're going to be focusing on that.
And yeah, I mean, maybe the name of our X account also gives you some clues on what vision we might have for the future.
But as I was saying, this is an experimental phase and we just want to get people on board
it and talk to them, learn about their thoughts also and see where we go from here.
Well, that's, I think that's always cool. You know, just experimenting, building, participating
in hackathon and taking the community with you. So, yeah, I love that. So I think anybody
in the audience, if you're into Hedera and maybe you think you would enjoy being a little
bit more involved on the building side,
or maybe you want to, one, give some feedback,
but on the other hand, also learn some stuff yourself.
These are the, yeah, I think these are great opportunities
to find a connection with other community members,
learn a little bit, give some feedback, try stuff out
without necessarily immediately being financially
involved and so yeah you know involving the community in the in the building process
can be pretty cool as well you know for for the the builders themselves but also for the community so
uh thanks for sharing man and again to anyone in the audience, just check out SMG's profile.
Let's see, I'm pretty sure it refers to H-Bank.
You can find the project account via him.
Yeah, so if this is something you think you'd enjoy
being a part of, then you know where to find him.
Okay, thanks
to you and congrats again for
everything you guys are doing, because
it's amazing.
Yeah, thank you for being here,
for sharing
this information with
the HBAR community, and this goes
for everybody, if you have something to ask or share
anybody everybody is welcome up on stage
all right that being said Alpha you joined on stage as well
how's your day going how's your week going how's life um yeah b2c is not doing so great but how are you
yo yo yo thanks for having me up.
Congratulations on the wedding news.
About time, mate.
About time.
Week's going all right.
Yeah, yeah.
Tottenham sat the manager, so pretty happy about that.
Just been at work today.
Working at the moment.
So, you know, if I get a call,
I'll have to dive off.
But yeah, should be all right for now.
How are you?
That's on accident.
By the way, did you just repeat SMG?
Because I don't think you were here for death when I told everybody that I was going to get married next week.
I saw it in the Ghosts Discard.
Ah, okay, yeah.
No, yeah. That's right. That's right. Probably yes. Ah, okay, yeah. No, yeah.
That's right.
That's right.
Probably yes.
Yeah, good work.
Good work.
There seems to be an area
that I haven't received
an invite yet,
which, yeah,
I assume it must be on its way.
That's cool.
I'll let you off.
I know you've been busy
arranging stuff, so.
Oh, man. I mean, you're top of the list of all people that i i don't know uh what their name is and what they look like so um but out of those people you're you're definitely top
of the list and that's not even a lie thanks mate appreciate that appreciate that. Yeah maybe, I mean, maybe you could sing at the
wedding, but so far I only heard you say that you do rap and sing, but I never actually
heard you, so I'm not going to take that risk. Yeah, we'll keep it that way. I assume obviously
you need to keep wedding costs as low as possible now that, you know,
your government's just voted in approval of this 36% tax on unrealized gains.
Absolutely bonkers, mate.
It's, man, I've always been bragging throughout the last couple of years that we do not have
any capital gains tax, which we hadn't.
And now we're going from zero capital gains tax to 36% on unrealized gains.
What the fuck?
It's crazy.
Starting in 2018.
When it first got mentioned, I thought, oh, surely it's just an idea being floated and it's not actually
gonna get voted through but yeah it got approved like maybe an hour two hours ago
yeah yeah um and it will be interesting to see the the capital that leaves the country before 28. It'll be massive because, you know,
I'm surely hoping that GIP does pump before 2028.
Otherwise, we're, you know.
So what are we doing about that?
Yeah, yeah, we keep on keeping on, never give up.
Yeah, we've got some
I mean I can't actually speak about anything
without breaking various different
but yeah it's
going good, we're cooking
the community is
it's cracking
that's what's cracking
stuff's cooking
we've got a Discord open.
So that probably opened about three weeks ago or something.
So if anyone wants to dive in there.
You know, originally we wanted to keep it strictly on X
because that's how, you know,
X is the way that we bring people into the ecosystem.
We always wanted to focus on
on growing the ecosystem but um like with the the latest updates and i guess just the
x is so buggy now like especially the group messages and we've just been like unable to
administer things properly um and yeah it's just become a bit cumbersome so we've
we've relented to pressure and opened up a discord as well but I think yeah my
concern with with having a discord is that sometimes communities become a bit
insular and get a little bit comfy in the safe haven of the
discord and don't don't go and make noise on X that was always my kind of
concern so I guess it's a balancing act really you want to stay as active on X
but it's actually really good for onboarding you know because people can
can come and vibe with the community,
see if it's a good fit. And if they are, you know, they can come and get involved without,
you know, having to be added to X chats and various different things. So,
yeah, come join us if you haven't already.
Yeah, no, I was just teasing about
what you guys are doing to
pump the price.
you're not going to share any
alpha here.
So you're pretty strict about that.
Pun intended.
Yeah, LED would kill me.
Yeah, pun intended.
You know what? We have Joe here to shout all sorts of things anyway.
He also outed Hedera for merging with BWC.
He just outed you guys for getting a Kraken listing.
So it's all...
We've got Joe to, you know, out the projects.
You don't need to tell us anything.
Big things happening on Hedera.
Yeah, man. The Dovu getting listed on Kraken is major,
super hype about that. Obviously, we spoke about this on DJ and ours last night,
but Kraken posted the Dead Pixels Ghost with the Kraken cap a while back.
So yeah, just various little things like that
and now obviously enabling HTS tokens to be listed,
starting with Dovu.
Super bullish.
There's lots to be bullish about.
I know that fear and greed indicator is down at,
I think it's down at five now.
And just as this space has been on Bitcoin's dumping,
but like, I don't know.
I don't feel, I still feel super bullish on crypto and Hedera
and this ecosystem especially.
And, you know, I'm in various different communities
and, you know, the price action is getting to people.
And some people are feeling, you know, pretty disillusioned,
disheartened, a little bit concerned.
And, you know, I totally get it.
And it's not nice.
Like crypto can be brutal, can't it?
You know, logging in and looking at your portfolio and, you know,
it's all red and
there's horrible numbers and things that you don't want to see but um i don't think now is
not the time to be getting bearish in my opinion uh likewise i agree um and and by the way, HBAR has been, today has been very strong.
It saw a 7.5% pump, and now it's retraced a portion of it,
but it's still up on the day, like 2.5%, so it's strong.
But, you know, now we have you up here, Alpha.
I mean, it's easy to keep asking about what's new with GIP,
this and that, and not getting any alpha out of you.
But, you know, you're up here as a GIP representative.
You're very well known in the Go community.
Well, basically in the entire HBAR community.
So for those listening in and thinking, you know,
I love Hedera as well
maybe I aspire
to be more involved in projects in the future
and you know to many
community members you are just
some guy who joined
just as they did
and from one thing
you know one thing led to another to other people
you might be oh that's the guy you know behind gib and you know very well connected with the
that pixel guy so please break that down a little bit like how did your hadera journey go how did
it develop and why did you end up in the position that you have in the ecosystem that you have right now?
Yeah, so I mean, I first bought HBAR at like 25 cents or something.
And then I was chatting to one of my IRL friends friends and he was he's like a big ETH
guy and he was talking about like maybe I'm thinking of buying an NFT so we
were just chatting about NFTs not never really kind of you know kind of heard of
them but didn't really know too much about them so I was just like checking
out you know does it H bar have NFTs and then i ended up on zeus and i was
like browsing seeing seeing what i was going to buy and i think the very first nft i ever bought
was actually a boon um which i might surprise some um but yeah then then i kind of ended up
um in the ghost community and just you know just became a community member and buying NFTs, like my wallet.
I'm sure there's some people that have got a lot more NFTs than me, but I'm in probably close to 1,000 across the various wallets,
which is probably child's play to some of you guys.
which is probably child's play to some of you guys.
But, like, yeah, I've been collecting NFTs and HTS tokens
and, you know, buying various different things
and just generally enjoying being part of this community.
And through, I guess, probably the Dead Pixels Discord,
discord um especially i've made some some really good friends um and then you know i guess as you
especially I've made some really good friends.
develop um bonds and trust with people um after i mean i i knew nothing about gib when it when it
first launched um i didn't even know it was leds token. Otherwise, I would have got in a lot earlier than I did.
But eventually, you know, I mean, I just loved the meme
and, you know, I kind of, through the ghosts,
chatted with LED quite a bit.
So eventually, you know, as part of the Gibb community anyway,
he offered me, you know, the chance to come onto the team
and work with him.
And I guess the official role is the Gibb turn,
which is obviously a little play on like intern.
So I kind of man the X,
because obviously being based in Australia,
me in the UK, it works pretty well for time zones.
When he's asleep, I'm awake and vice versa.
But we do have like a little crossover late at night
and early in the morning where we can kind of catch up and stuff.
So, yeah, and like strategizing with him.
So, I mean, it's been like an organic journey, really, I guess.
Just, yeah, being a community member and seeing
where it takes you there's never been a kind of yeah to plan or anything like that just yeah just
roll with it and see see where it goes
last question for you and then uh we'll we'll take it to uh the uh question i had for random but
strategizing what what does strategizing for meme coin look like what what are you talking about
um i mean various different things so i guess obviously there's that kind of community building element, having a connection with the community, making memes, making tweets, like all that kind of, you know, the general, I guess what you call it, the day-to-day stuff, the more tactical stuff.
we don't just want Gibb to be, you know, a meme on Hedera.
We want it to be a lot more well-known than that.
You know, we've got big ideas, big plans.
I can't talk too much about any of that.
But I guess it's about, I mean, LED summed it up perfectly
in a tweet a while ago, and it was, I can't remember the exact wording of it, but effectively it was words akin to we don't just want Gibb to be, you know, an HBAR meme, we want it to be, you know, this little cute Gibb guy to be ingrained in the whole psyche of Web3.
whole psyche of web 3.0 and that's yeah every kind of thing that we do and every connection
that we make we've got that kind of end goal in mind it's probably about as cryptic as
I can make it without saying too much oh don't worry you definitely didn't say too much. Oh, don't worry. You definitely didn't say too much
and it was definitely cryptic.
Plenty cryptic, I'd say.
Yeah, I don't know what to make of that,
to be honest.
So, yeah, but it sounds bullish.
It sounds good.
Yeah. Yeah, that was the goal. I wanted it it sounds bullish. It sounds good. Yeah.
Yeah, that was the goal.
I wanted it to sound bullish
without actually saying anything.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
That's okay.
I'll finish up all of the offers for you
when you're off.
I've been around well enough
to know how to say stuff
without actually saying anything.
Okay, so now you're implying that, yeah,
you're just as skilled as Will in leading your project
and it will be just as successful.
I'm definitely not implying that, no.
I haven't got the voice for Will.
Will's voice puts him
Ahead of most people just for a start
I've been trying to get him to do
Audiobooks for years now
I'd love to listen to him narrate
Lord of the Rings or something like that
That's why he should have a night
He probably reads to his kids
He should probably have a night time
Five minute audio where he just Re crypto news, but in his tone.
We could all fall asleep to it.
I will say, have you noticed that Credible, Crypto, and Will sound pretty similar?
And have you ever seen them in the same room?
I have not seen them in the same room. And, and I've actually gotten a response from credible before.
So that even ties them closer together.
Cause there's no reason for him to interact with me.
You should see how a quick credible crypto response to some dead pixels
tweets as well.
I'm not implying anything here.
I'm just saying that maybe will is actually like a chart in guru.
No, but I don't.
You said this before, but I don't hear it, man.
I do nothing that they sound the same.
Yeah, but you're Dutch, mate.
You don't know anything about it.
Just go along with it.
And you don't listen in beautiful English anyway.
You don't listen in American.
I was saying to you, I just wanted to say this quickly.
We've been watching this Dutch TV program, like a thriller.
And what's hilarious to me about it is, I mean, if you've heard Dutch, it's a pretty crazy language.
Like, there's a lot of kind of German influence.
That's how it sounds to me from an outsider.
But what you notice is they use so many english words so it'll be you know they'll talk and then they'll
just be english words like all the time they use so many english words and like i'm wondering is
that because which is very annoying to me by the way is it no i was gonna say patrick will get into his dutch conversations in our team
meetings and i'll be listening i don't like it i can pick up like four parts of conversations
because of all the english words it's crazy and like i was thinking because sometimes it was just
like idioms and expressions they were saying in english and i was like yeah i kind of get that
because we do that don't we you know the creme de la creme and schadenfreude and we borrow kind of phrases that have a specific meaning but like for instance
they just drop the word privacy in there so there's like all this kind of dutch words and
then just privacy and then they'll carry on speaking these words i don't understand
and i'm thinking like is it just because they don't have a word for it i don't understand
no probably we say privacy if if we use
it in dutch language actually so you you do it more english way i guess but privacy what would
the dutch words for that be um ifo help me here is a bit privacy is that we don't have
another word we just say privacy, right?
Give me some privacy.
But yeah, give me some privacy.
Yeah, you're right. Now I don't think Dutch is even a real language.
I'll tell you something else.
You can't not have a word for privacy.
It's because it's so open and friendly, right?
I don't know. I don't know.
But there is a funny thing uh real story when i was
about 14 years i watched a movie and we have everything subtitled but it was turning to the
center of the earth there's a zillion movies of that i guess and then all of a sudden they met
this like snowman kind of creature in the middle of the of the earth and all of a sudden we noticed he was speaking
dutch but a little bit with his mouth closed and a bit muffled but then we winded it back and we
listened to it again it was was just dutch so that's how strange dutch sounds to many people
but they even use it in sci-fi when we say let's let's make up for a language. Well, let's just have him speak Dutch.
So that was so funny to see.
But it's not the most beautiful language.
But hey, at least I can speak freely everywhere and no one understands me.
It's like Chinese for most people.
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
The program is called The Ring, by the way.
News said he'd never heard of it.
I don't understand that.
But yeah, you should watch it really good well I don't I live in France now and I don't I don't really watch TV anymore you
know we're all streaming everyone is streaming nowadays aren't we oh yeah yeah yeah no I'm
streaming it yeah well I don't I don't like that uh series to be honest no me neither i prefer everything so yeah me me too so i i never
watch anything dutch to be honest not even on my recommendation but yeah go away really i
yeah sorry no sir but i i don't watch a lot of stuff anyway, so I've got like, I'm pretty weird like that. I'm re-watching The Office for like the fifth time, probably.
That's my go-to series for when I just want to relax.
I just put up on an episode of The Office.
The American one, The American.
Yeah, me too.
I love The American one.
And I don't really watch other stuff.
Yeah. All right. and i don't really watch other stuff yeah all right amateur but no uh let me quickly ask uh ask brandon a question before he's really uh off to um i guess creating tomorrow's video um brandon airbrek introduced an in-app cross-chain swap,
supported through the integration with Let's Exchange I.O.
Is this in addition to the CELSO swap aggregation,
or did they replace it?
So I saw that as well.
Now, it seems like this, I would say it's in addition.
I think they still have for the Hedera tokens,
they're still probably tapping into the deeper liquidity that we see on SaucerSwap.
And then for cross-chain stuff that they're using, what they just introduced.
But I don't want to speak out of turn.
I'm not 100% sure, but that would be my take.
Seeing a thumbs up by Daruler.
Although X has been kind of weird lately like that.
So sometimes emojis pop up on people that didn't
use them, but maybe
Darula was agreeing with you and
sounds logical as well.
Let's see. It's five
minutes past the hour.
I think we could
be talking for a long time, especially
with Alpha
Patrick and Joe talking about all
sorts of nonsense um but and and by the way one thing that maybe we could talk about later
is the connection between um you know gib and the ghosts that's something i know it's been it's been
discussed on dj hours as well so, but it's an interesting topic.
You know, overlapping communities, benefits, also...
Wow, what's the opposite of a benefit? Tell me how, guys.
Okay, drawback. Seems like there should be a more standard word for that.
No, you can't say that after telling us your language doesn't have a word for privacy.
No, no, no.
Probably it does, but it does have a word for it.
But many words, I don't know they probably have been used in the past but we
just transit transisted them out for english words uh over the years uh so some words my grandma
still uses and it's like oh well we do have a dutch word for that but i didn't know my parents didn't know so it's it's evolving who knows what the dutch language will will be like if you know 50
years from now maybe it'll be uh really in a dutch english hybrid but um it's not too bad because
only about 18 million people on the planet speak Dutch so it's better to talk English anyway
we should just start speaking
English over here
do you recognize this word
do you recognize this word Ivo
geheimhouding
oh yeah no
but that's did you try to translate
privacy yeah
oh but that's no that's really
different there's like secrecy or confidentiality
i guess yeah yeah exactly that's not the same as privacy this did it did it really not give any
other option for it is there are so there's this one as well where is it I don't know.
It's not saying it.
Yeah, Inzamheid.
There's Afzondering and Gehemhouding.
Eensamheid is loneliness.
Afzondering is like...
Seclusion?
Separation?
Yeah, exactly.
None of them are like privacy.
I love how I... Yeah, Gehemhoud no, none of them are like privacy. I love how I speak.
Yeah, Gehenma doing sounds like secrecy or secretion or privacy.
Yeah, no, but that's not privacy.
That's keeping a secret.
And those are different things.
But we're very honest people people we don't need any privacy
that you know what you see is what you get
okay i think we're about uh through with the space don't forget to uh out Kabila v3 it's live let us know what you think try out
the chats wallet to wallet and yeah keep an eye on the Kabila account because
I'll be sharing some insights throughout the rest of the week and next week
yeah go ahead man yo I just wanted to say a quick couple things you know so next friday
on the setting the bar space the space that happens at 11 a.m eastern monday to friday
except for thursdays um yeah we're gonna host a grand trivia space so yeah me and lady h are
gonna cook up a trivia quiz so if anybody's interested you should
definitely get into the dms and register we're gonna have some nft prizes on the line if you're
interested in like a pub quiz kind of a format and you like trivia you should definitely get
involved because yeah it's a community thing just some just having some fun with our friends you
know and other than that I'm yeah sorry go
ahead Brandon no no I was just gonna ask echo what kind of trivia is it just random is this
hedera trivia what you got going on so so we've done a lot of quizzes in the past we're not gonna
do hedera trivia though it'll be random you know like a mix of a few things I usually try to do it
like like you know like are you smarter
than a fifth grader kind of a thing we've done a hedera quiz in the past we've done a hedera nfts
quiz in the past as well so yeah we're just starting this off again maybe we'll do it once
a month you know grand trivia space and we will have a segment where we'll bring it back to hedera
defy hedera nfts but i think a lot of people over
here are super nerdy and really into the tech so a lot of people know a lot of things about
hbar you know so you gotta make it competitive that's fair that's fair just curious but yeah
going into nfts and d5 that'd be really, if you have, like, stats on some of the top-performing collections,
some biggest sales and stuff, like, really deep knowledge
that only community members would know of.
So, yeah, we'll definitely be cooking up different kinds of quizzes
to cater to different people with different interests.
Nice. So it's a pop quiz, right? Or not in the sense that you don't play in teams?
Nah. So we are encouraging people to play in teams. It just makes it easier, right? And then,
yeah. So it'll be like two teams. If we get like 10 speakers speakers and we'll have two teams of five each and yeah they
can all play together awesome okay well um let's do a little preview i've got a question and i'm
curious to know if anybody here on the stage or in the audience knows the answer but um please
don't look it up keep it fair uh. You just asked a question, actually.
What's the biggest HBAR NFT sale in dollar value?
About when did it happen?
Which NFT was it?
And for what price, both in HBAR and in US dollars, did the sale happen?
I know the answer.
Was it Lazy Superhero?
Yeah, I think it was the lazy superhero.
250,000 H bar.
When H bar was 30 cents.
Okay, we're getting closer now.
Alpha, that was a very, very small part of the answer
because I asked like four questions in one
and you gave half of one of the categories.
Oh yeah, that's the only thing I knew.
Okay, the Lazy Super Heroes, I think it was, I don't know, was it Gen Zero?
They called it something as well, right?
And I'd say it was around $80,000.
Yeah, Ekwa, you're very close.
It was Kjell, so the Rank 1 or Ser one or serial one not sure about that from the Gen Zero
lazy superheroes and it went for I believe somewhere in the 200 000 h bar indeed when it
was at like 30 cents so it was a north of 70k usd um has anyone checked i believe that
huh anyone checked on the buyer recently
well yeah um no i uh well okay let's not talk about that it's just a fun fact don't ruin it alpha come on man i'm sure he's very happy
it's a bullish and a fun fact it happened before it will happen again that's what we're talking
about we're not we're not talking about um anything else here okay yeah sorry yeah all right
okay um sorry another piece of information another piece of information uh i'll
be coming on an interview today later with uh phil with hashback pack the mic space on the
builder spotlight so yeah excited for that um yeah super excited about the announcement by
hashback from yesterday as well we got two posts up on the megaboard the cabela v3 announcement
and the hashback cross chain swap within the app announcement show some love to these posts like
and repost it yeah because these are big things happening within the hbar retail ecosystem let's
make some noise y'all let's rally behind the people who are building great infrastructure
and yeah i'm super excited to get on that interview with Phil. I think that happens at the same time as DJN Hours, 4 p.m. Eastern.
So yeah, if you want to learn more about Psych Terra, what we got going on and yeah,
what excites us to be building on HBAR, you should definitely tune into that.
Yeah. Hell yeah.
Very cool, man.
I'd say if the space is already scheduled put up a link in the on the
megaboard but there's not a lot of use to that since we're closing up the space
in a minute well good then over next time then it could be up on the megaboard
for the entire space yeah all right anything else that anybody would like to share?
Let's close up with.
I'm just checking the comments real quick before we close it down.
Patrick apologizing for being late, rightfully so.
Okay, well, wait, there's a question actually.
Oh, this is an interesting one.
Brandon, it's for you, if you're still there.
It's also quite a direct one.
Why hasn't Salzben listed on Kraken before Dovu?
Yeah, good question.
I'm not sure why they went in that order.
I will say, and I don't have any inside information here. I'm just repeating something that Brady Gentile said
in DeFi Corner that we had the other day.
He is of the understanding that this is not the last one.
He believes that there's going to be more coming.
I would expect that Sauce would be one of the first ones, but I haven't gotten anything from the Saucer Swap team or anything like that.
I haven't talked to the crew about that.
I haven't talked to the crew about that.
They haven't given me any specifics.
They haven't given me any specifics.
But Brady said that he believes there's going to be more coming.
So I would think that the high-profile HTS tokens would be some of the first ones that would get listed.
Sounds good.
Good enough for me.
And this question was actually asked by two people in the audience,
but I do not see either of them in the audience still,
because I should be a little bit disappointed in you guys,
because I asked all four of you to help me keep an eye on the comments,
because I was driving, and none of you did. None.
So, what's that about, guys?
Okay, I'll do better next time.
Yes, please.
I won't make any excuses.
I'll just do better next time for sure.
I'm just blaming Sykes on that one.
I'm sorry.
Yo, Joe is not even here.
Patrick leaves at the top of the hour and he was also late to the space.
So, all right, I'll take the blame on this one.
It's fine.
I'll take one for the team.
Hey, New, you're running the space.
You're running the space.
Take some responsibility.
If you want to drive around, that's fine.
But don't blame us.
Brandon with the heat.
Okay, you got me.
Let's go brandon
right back at you there buddy
I guess we're all to blame
this question was asked
you're right
you're right
I shouldn't have
put the responsibility
on your end
it's my responsibility
but it's good to know that
if I try to
push the responsibility forward to you guys,
you'll disappoint me anyway.
So there's no use in doing that.
That's a good punishment.
Punishment fits the crime.
Let's keep it at that.
All right.
Now I really think we're through.
Last question that I have for you, Brandon, is the one that we skipped on last week.
Because I think the person who asked it is still here.
Do you have any comments on Google and their role on the governing council, leaving or not?
Well, I think their term is going to be up at the end of this year, from what I understand.
I'm not sure.
I thought it was actually going to be at the end of last year and that it hasn't happened yet.
But I do know that Rob mentioned in Shark Bites that the roll offs are actually at the end of this year.
Of course, the council could change that if they wanted to.
Google was one of the first um
you know we had the first crop that came out in let's see what was that that was the beginning of
2019 that was five different council members we had an additional three right around the
launch event for the h bar um and then the first one after that, I believe. So they were the ninth council member. And at that time, there wasn't a requirement as far as building. They've actually been pretty active members. They've supported in many different ways, including hosting one of the council member meetings at the Googleplex.
They have been involved with pilots and testing on the network.
There was a really cool one called Hedge, which stood for, let's see, it was Hedera, EDF, and Google.
And it was a refi use case, really interesting, but I don't think it made it to, you know, commerciality or anything like that.
But that was also before they required council members to have, you know, ready-made use cases coming to market that kind of stuff
So I think, you know, compared to some of the other council members like Boeing or something like that
They have been pretty engaged. So I think they've definitely been a net positive
As far as anything else they might be doing with Hedera, I don't know. So I'll leave it at that
Yep, fair enough. Thanks for that
Yeah, for the extra clarification
All right, guys, wrapping up here. Thanks for that extra clarification.
